Transcript
- 0:00Should Christians be supporting the nation of Israel at all costs?
- 0:04We're going to take a look at a very heated exchange between Ted Cruz and Tucker
- 0:08Carlson over this specific topic, because you might be thinking,
- 0:12this is not a hill to die on, but let's just see if it is. I'm going to let
- 0:16them speak for themselves.
- 0:17Tucker comes to the table regarding this matter, and he says,
- 0:21why would I support Israel? Why is it biblically commanded?
- 0:24Ted Cruz says, yes, it is. but let's just hear them out and then we'll kind
- 0:28of, I'll just explain what I think along the way.
- 0:31Let me tell you what. No, you said I was obsessed with Israel and you had just
- 0:34told me that like your driving motive to get to the Senate was to defend Israel.
- 0:39I'm like, I don't think I'm the one who's obsessed with Israel.
- 0:41Okay, Tucker, words matter.
- 0:43And you know that. I said I resolved to be the leading defender of Israel and
- 0:46you said your driving motive, the reason you're in the Senate.
- 0:49You want to be the leading defender of Israel.
- 0:50I would think if I ran for Senate, I'd be like, there are people dying of drug
- 0:53odies on the street. My driving motive is to fight for Texas and America and
- 0:58to fight for jobs and to fight for the Constitution.
- 1:00And you played a very, very careful word game of eliding. No,
- 1:05the one who said it, not me.
- 1:06So you still haven't asked why, but I'm going to tell you why.
- 1:09OK, so before he gets into that, Tucker, he's a lot more passionate.
- 1:14Ted Cruz is a lot more reserved. I would side more on this argument more with Ted Cruz.
- 1:19But personally, I kind of like Tucker a little bit better. I've followed him
- 1:24closer and just like, just the way that he approaches topics.
- 1:29I, Ted Cruz, being a member of Congress, he has to, he's a politician.
- 1:33So you have to take that into account what they're talking about.
- 1:36Tucker is more, I got, I got to get views. I got to get eyes on me,
- 1:40even though he, I wouldn't say he's like that personally, but just being in
- 1:44the arena that he is and having a podcast and being on entertainment,
- 1:48he needs to get something sparks flying.
- 1:50And I don't think he tries to do it. I think he just naturally has it.
- 1:55So they're coming at it. And this is like, is this an impasse?
- 1:59Because this is going to be very eye opening. If you have not seen this,
- 2:03what Tucker kind of he is, he seems like he's caught off guard in what Ted Cruz brings up.
- 2:09And the reason is twofold. Number one, as a Christian, growing up in Sunday
- 2:13school, I was taught from the Bible, those who bless Israel will be blessed
- 2:17and those who curse Israel will be cursed.
- 2:20And from my perspective, I want to be on the blessing side of things.
- 2:23Of those who bless the government of Israel? Those who bless Israel is what
- 2:27it says. It doesn't say the government of it. It says the nation of Israel.
- 2:30So that's in the Bible. As a Christian, I believe that. Where is that?
- 2:34I can find it to you. I don't have the scripture off the tip of mine.
- 2:38You pull out the phone and use the Google. It's in Genesis. So you're quoting a Bible.
- 2:43Tucker knows exactly what he's referring to. I don't think he's really thought
- 2:47through this because I don't think a lot of Christians have thought through this,
- 2:51of supporting Israel is not just something that people are preaching from the
- 2:55pulpits for the most part in American Christianity.
- 2:59A lot of theology is, it's replacement theology. The church has replaced Israel.
- 3:05It's been 2,000 years of that. There was, God was, it was just for infancy of
- 3:10just bringing in the Christ, revealing himself through the nation of Israel,
- 3:14okay, now we're done with that.
- 3:16We're ready for the new man of Christianity, and everything needs to be absorbed into Christianity.
- 3:22Biblically, the more that I've looked into this, and I think a lot of people,
- 3:26the more that they actually look into this, when it speaks of Israel,
- 3:29those aren't just references to the church specifically.
- 3:33And even that word church is a loaded term.
- 3:36It means a better rendition of it would be the calling out, the assembly, the community of faith.
- 3:44It's not just a church, a building, or even just Christianity.
- 3:48It's just the called out ones. But I want to continue.
- 3:52A Bible phrase, you don't have context for it. You don't know where in the Bible
- 3:55it is, but that's like your theology? I'm confused.
- 3:58What does that even mean? Tucker. So this could be me having this conversation
- 4:02with Tucker as well. But I think that Ted Cruz is going to get him thinking.
- 4:06And there are a lot of people on both sides of the fence because Christians
- 4:10have not thought through this of should there should they be dying on a hill
- 4:15of supporting for Israel?
- 4:17And is that biblically biblically commanded? I'm a Christian.
- 4:21I want to know what you're talking about.
- 4:22Where does where does my support for Israel come from? Number one,
- 4:26because biblically we are commanded to support Israel.
- 4:29But number two, hold on, hold on. and you're a senator, and now you're throwing
- 4:33out theology, and I am a Christian, and I am allowed to weigh in on this.
- 4:36We are commanded as Christians to support the government of Israel?
- 4:39We are commanded to support Israel.
- 4:41What does that mean, Israel? We're told those who bless Israel will be blessed.
- 4:44But hold on, define Israel. This is important. Are you kidding?
- 4:47Heck yes, it's important. This is very important.
- 4:50And Tucker is a true Christian. He's a true Christian. So any real Christian,
- 4:54when they are confronted with truth and with reality, they want it.
- 4:58And so they're going to like, if they're willing to dive in more and more,
- 5:02and I think true Christians will dive in more and more.
- 5:05The whole thing of, we understand that Israel from the Bible,
- 5:08that it was promised to Abraham.
- 5:11He says, those who bless you will be blessed. Those who curse you will be cursed.
- 5:15And then the genealogy goes through, and then the blessing goes to Isaac and
- 5:20then Jacob, whose name changed to Israel.
- 5:22And then that is what the Jewish people come from.
- 5:25So we should be, I would say, standing for Israel, whatever that means.
- 5:31But I think the clearest representation that we have in the miraculous thing
- 5:36that we have in this world is that the nation of Israel has been reconstituted
- 5:40after 2000 years of being just scattered abroad.
- 5:45It was a divine thing that God brought the nation of Israel back together,
- 5:49and he is continuing to bring the nation of Israel back together. But I want to continue.
- 5:54This is a majority Christian country. Define Israel.
- 5:56Do you not know what Israel is? That would be the country you've asked like 49 questions about.
- 6:01So that's what Genesis, that's what God is talking about. The nation of Israel, yes.
- 6:06So is that the current borders, the current leadership? He's talking about the
- 6:09political entity called Israel?
- 6:10He's talking about the nation of Israel. Yeah, nations exist and he's discussing a nation.
- 6:14A nation was the people of Israel. Is the nation God's referring to in Genesis,
- 6:18is that the same as the country run by Benjamin Netanyahu right now? Yes, yes.
- 6:22It is. And by the way, it's not run by Benjamin Netanyahu as a dictator.
- 6:26It's a democratic country that elected to say that the nation of Israel that
- 6:30we currently have, we understand it is imperfect. It is not perfect.
- 6:34Like the nation of Israel has never been perfect, but they are the true state,
- 6:40the true people of God, the true Jewish community that has been promised that
- 6:46was existed in the Old Testament.
- 6:48And now it has been brought back after the destruction of Jerusalem and the temple in 70 AD.
- 6:53That was when everything got
- 6:54scattered. And it was primarily due to their rejection of their Messiah.
- 6:59Their Messiah has come. The more that I get into this, the more that I learn
- 7:03about this, it does seem, I think that we should take this extremely.
- 7:08Extremely seriously because I think of myself and I just did a podcast regarding
- 7:14the rapture and I don't know exactly where I stand a hundred percent on that,
- 7:19but I am leading more and more towards it and it making sense.
- 7:24And I feel like I'm like the, you see the Mel Gibson versions of in the Patriot.
- 7:28He's like, you know, he's like going for his country.
- 7:30And then, and then he, in Braveheart, he's just like, you know,
- 7:35just like, I feel like I'm kind of the, the viewpoint of the rapture almost
- 7:40seems like it makes sense.
- 7:42Biblically, it seems like I'm not completely there, but I think I'm going towards that direction.
- 7:47And it only makes sense because God promises that the nation of Israel will be blessed.
- 7:52They will be the kingdom on earth. When Jesus was going to ascend to heaven,
- 7:57Peter said, are you at this time going to restore the kingdom to Israel?
- 8:01And Jesus said, no, no, no, let's change your mindset.
- 8:04It's going to be a while. He didn't say no. He didn't say that's ludicrous speaking.
- 8:08It's ludicrous thinking of Peter.
- 8:10But for this time, it is not. He did not discount it. It is a future reality
- 8:14that the superpower in this world will be Israel eventually, eventually.
- 8:20And that is where the whole millennial kingdom comes into play.
- 8:22But the rapture aspect of it, it seems like the Christians, whoever is a believer
- 8:27in God in this, in this world, this is how I'm seeing it. People are going to be taken up.
- 8:31And then who's going to be left here? The Jews, the Jews are going to be left
- 8:36here because they have not embraced the Messiah, but they still believe in the
- 8:40true God. They are the true people of God.
- 8:42And then there's going to be a lot of people that are just lukewarm Christians that were left here.
- 8:47And then other Christians, other just people that just completely don't believe
- 8:51in it at all. And they're just going to explain it away.
- 8:52There might be an element of aliens that come into play and all that.
- 8:56But the only thing that makes sense is that the true believers,
- 9:00as in true Jews, they will then, their eyes will be kind of just,
- 9:04they will be in shock because this actually took place.
- 9:08And then that blindness is going to be taken away. That's where I'm kind of
- 9:11like going towards that.
- 9:12And just for us to support Israel, it's like, even if you don't support them
- 9:16now, you will have to support them in the future.
- 9:19So I would almost get on board and supporting them now because they are the elect nation.
- 9:25They are the chosen people.
- 9:28So, and I know this caught Tucker off guard, but I think his heart is in a good place.
- 9:33He just doesn't see it yet. And I didn't always see it as well.
- 9:36And it doesn't mean that I have perfect theology now or anybody does.
- 9:40But the more that I've looked into the Bible, the more I've examined it and
- 9:44open to this, it does seem that supporting Israel, that doesn't mean everything
- 9:48they're going to do is perfect.
- 9:50And we got to call things out that are wrong, wrong, but there is going to be
- 9:55a definite split, a definite separation between, because it's going to become
- 10:00hostile to supporting Jews.
- 10:03It always gets that way because people, there's a satanic spirit that always
- 10:08wants to destroy the Jewish people through all ages. And it goes away and it
- 10:13comes back. It goes away and it comes back.
- 10:15So where are you going to stand? All right. If you've enjoyed this video,
