- 0:24Speaker 1: It is time to leave your worries outside and laugh
- 0:29Speaker 1: with us inside the treehouse. I'm Dan ol Mallley along
- 0:31Speaker 1: with Trey Trenholme. Today is Thursday, July twenty fourth, twenty
- 0:37Speaker 1: twenty five. Yes, Trey, I am ready to rock and roll.
- 0:42Speaker 1: I've got my super big iced coffee concoction from Starbucks.
- 0:48Speaker 2: What'd you get?
- 0:50Speaker 1: H crap? What did I get?
- 0:53Speaker 3: Oh?
- 0:53Speaker 1: It's a It's an iced vanilla coffee with a cream,
- 1:01Speaker 1: two shots of espresso and a little bit of a sprinkle.
- 1:05Speaker 1: And as I'm saying all this, it really really takes
- 1:10Speaker 1: the air out of the argument that I had wanted
- 1:13Speaker 1: to bring up to you about ordering Gurly drinks from Starbucks.
- 1:19Speaker 2: I listen, I have no shame and the fact that
- 1:25Speaker 2: I order Gurley drinks from Starbucks.
- 1:27Speaker 1: And I applaud you for that because.
- 1:29Speaker 2: My new go to is there ice, cinnamon, dulce, fantastic.
- 1:33Speaker 1: Ooh, I sounds like a spa in a cup.
- 1:39Speaker 2: It's just delightful. Cinnamon is probably one of my favorite things.
- 1:43Speaker 2: And so anytime I can get it, yeah, and then yeah,
- 1:48Speaker 2: make it where you know, non fat milk, no whipped cream,
- 1:51Speaker 2: make it. Try to make it as you know only
- 1:55Speaker 2: you know, three hundred calories a cup, not five.
- 1:58Speaker 1: Every little bit helps absolutely, but I appreciate it. On
- 2:02Speaker 1: Sunday at the road show, Diego, wonderful Diego, God bless him,
- 2:07Speaker 1: Pill Pusher, he shows up with a crate of Starbucks
- 2:12Speaker 1: drinks and he says, hey, I brought you guys drinks.
- 2:15Speaker 1: And Trey's first thing out of his mouth is, what's
- 2:19Speaker 1: the girliest thing you got? Because Diego said, I've got
- 2:23Speaker 1: a bunch of different stuff. What would you like? Trey respond,
- 2:26Speaker 1: what's the girliest thing you have in that bag? And
- 2:28Speaker 1: that's what you took? God bless you.
- 2:31Speaker 2: Yep. That's uh yeah. I look back like I was
- 2:38Speaker 2: having this conversation with somebody. I look back on drinking,
- 2:42Speaker 2: and I'm like, you know, drinking, it's it never really
- 2:46Speaker 2: it didn't taste that good. And that's how I feel
- 2:47Speaker 2: about coffee. It it's bare bones. It does not taste good.
- 2:52Speaker 2: I mean, it's you know, bars, if you really break
- 2:56Speaker 2: them down to their fundamental principle of they make the
- 2:58Speaker 2: poison taste.
- 2:59Speaker 1: Good, it really is true.
- 3:01Speaker 2: And you know that's I appreciate and I admire people
- 3:06Speaker 2: that drink their coffee straight. You know, no cream, no sugar,
- 3:09Speaker 2: just black coffee. I don't get it. That to me,
- 3:12Speaker 2: that just is gross.
- 3:14Speaker 1: I feel like Mary Poppin's put it more pleasantly by
- 3:17Speaker 1: saying a spoonful of sugar makes the medicine go down,
- 3:20Speaker 1: which is how a lot of alcoholics view it. So
- 3:25Speaker 1: there's that version and then the one you said. Now,
- 3:28Speaker 1: I will say this like when it comes to iced
- 3:30Speaker 1: coffee stuff, that's when I'll use it up a little bit.
- 3:33Speaker 1: But my regular morning coffee is black with a little
- 3:37Speaker 1: bit of splendent. So I'm not I'm not exactly like
- 3:42Speaker 1: uh you know, I'm not cowboying up or anything like,
- 3:46Speaker 1: just I don't want sludge and nothing else kind of
- 3:49Speaker 1: a thing.
- 3:50Speaker 2: Yeah. My my normal morning routine is I I actually
- 3:55Speaker 2: I get the little the cinnamon del chy Starbucks cacups
- 4:00Speaker 2: and I'll have one cup hot, oh a little uh
- 4:06Speaker 2: trivia and uh splash milk.
- 4:10Speaker 1: So when do you normally hit the stage at the
- 4:12Speaker 1: Pink Pony Club.
- 4:14Speaker 2: Uh, you know, after I've had my then my second
- 4:16Speaker 2: cup is usually my ice coffee.
- 4:18Speaker 1: That's when you feel the right amount of pretty.
- 4:21Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 4:25Speaker 1: Yeah, it's amazing, like the the evolution of man, you know,
- 4:30Speaker 1: It's like I've always looked at it this way. You
- 4:33Speaker 1: like what you like, and other people's opinions be damned.
- 4:37Speaker 1: It doesn't matter. That being said, we're of the generation
- 4:43Speaker 1: that still grew up with what's expected out of being
- 4:46Speaker 1: a masculine man. Because you know, my grandfather, greatest generation,
- 4:52Speaker 1: went to war, drank coffee, was a cattle rancher in retirement.
- 4:57Speaker 1: In retirement, he chose to work with cattle that is
- 5:02Speaker 1: really messed up when you think about it. Built with
- 5:07Speaker 1: his bare hands the playground equipment in the backyard that
- 5:11Speaker 1: I played with and hit my head on many times.
- 5:15Speaker 1: And he was really good at it because not once
- 5:18Speaker 1: did his cattlestruction, Not once did his construction fail. I
- 5:23Speaker 1: mean I headbutted that seesaw at least twenty times, not
- 5:26Speaker 1: a crack.
- 5:27Speaker 2: Now, have you ever pondered the fact that your you know,
- 5:30Speaker 2: grandfather built it that way so you would hit your head.
- 5:34Speaker 1: I'm wondering that now as we speak. Maybe he was
- 5:38Speaker 1: trying to train me, uh, toughened me up, or just saying,
- 5:41Speaker 1: you know what, this is just how we build things.
- 5:43Speaker 1: We build things to last and to crack children's skulls.
- 5:46Speaker 2: Perhaps there was some Pavlovian experience, experience going on with
- 5:50Speaker 2: the cattle in you, and you know the cattle didn't
- 5:53Speaker 2: hit their head as much.
- 5:55Speaker 1: I never thought about it that way, But when you
- 5:58Speaker 1: hit your head as much as I did as a child,
- 6:00Speaker 1: memories are fuzzy. Not all stories perfectly align with memories,
- 6:09Speaker 1: you know, come to think of it. When I do
- 6:13Speaker 1: think back on the jungle gym that he bought for us,
- 6:16Speaker 1: the monkey bars were oddly high for a five year old.
- 6:23Speaker 1: They really were, like, Yeah, I don't think the spikes
- 6:29Speaker 1: in the pit were necessary, but he said he.
- 6:36Speaker 2: Loved me, and it shows.
- 6:39Speaker 3: You're in the treehouse.
- 6:41Speaker 5: Visit us online a treehouse on air dot com.
- 6:48Speaker 1: Eight three three Cook DFW. That's the phone number to
- 6:51Speaker 1: reach Cook DFW Roofing and Restoration, the website cookdfw dot com.
- 6:54Speaker 1: Let's get Daniel Cook into the treehouse now. Now we
- 6:58Speaker 1: talk a lot about the roofing side of your business.
- 7:00Speaker 1: That's probably the bulk of it, but you guys also
- 7:02Speaker 1: do a lot of interior work. You do a lot
- 7:04Speaker 1: of remodeling, and you don't just do it for your clients,
- 7:07Speaker 1: you do it for yourself as well. Because you were
- 7:09Speaker 1: just telling me that you and Carrie got you a
- 7:11Speaker 1: new badass kitchen, right, Dan.
- 7:13Speaker 6: It's been pretty crazy.
- 7:14Speaker 7: We're doing a lot of work both in our house
- 7:17Speaker 7: and of course for our clients, and so juggling all
- 7:21Speaker 7: of those projects has been stressful. So we started with
- 7:23Speaker 7: a full master bathroom remodel. I went ahead and did
- 7:27Speaker 7: a custom walk in shower that's nine feet long and
- 7:30Speaker 7: four feet wide. Holy, all marble tile and tile everywhere
- 7:37Speaker 7: and it looks really great. And cabinets, and then we
- 7:40Speaker 7: decided to come out and do all new flooring all
- 7:43Speaker 7: the way through the hole downstairs and then.
- 7:45Speaker 6: Upstairs, replace all the carpet. We did a whole bunch
- 7:48Speaker 6: of all new baseboard upgrades and trim, and then I said,
- 7:51Speaker 6: you know what, We're already.
- 7:52Speaker 2: Got all this done.
- 7:53Speaker 6: I guess let's do the kitchen too. So we ripped
- 7:55Speaker 6: out the entire kitchen down to the studs and redid
- 7:58Speaker 6: new cabinets and new countertow put new courts farm sinc.
- 8:01Speaker 6: And new undercounting lighting, new lighting and the halos and
- 8:06Speaker 6: the top. So yeah, it's been a pretty aggressive freemodel
- 8:09Speaker 6: here at the cook Household.
- 8:10Speaker 1: And they can do the same for you, So that
- 8:12Speaker 1: goes to show you. It's sort of like the old
- 8:14Speaker 1: Men's Warehouse spokesperson where he would say he's not only
- 8:17Speaker 1: the president, but he's also a client. That's Daniel. He's
- 8:20Speaker 1: going to take that same level of expertise and quality
- 8:22Speaker 1: craftsmanship that he puts into his home and he's going
- 8:25Speaker 1: to put it into yours eight three to three Cook
- 8:27Speaker 1: DFW or the website cookdfw dot com.

- 8:56Speaker 1: the website to check out all their amazing work cookfw
- 9:01Speaker 1: dot com. And surprising yet not shocking news, Ozzy Osbourne
- 9:09Speaker 1: has died. The gloomy demon invoking lead singer of the
- 9:13Speaker 1: pioneering metal band Black Sabbath died on Tuesday at the
- 9:18Speaker 1: age of seventy six, just weeks after his final show.
- 9:22Speaker 1: So again, really not that stunned. Look, I'm actually a
- 9:30Speaker 1: little shocked that he was only seventy six because he
- 9:33Speaker 1: looked seventy six on the Osbourne's show Back in the
- 9:36Speaker 1: Day with the Family on MTV, the reality show.
- 9:41Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean and I I'm I'm stunned that people
- 9:48Speaker 2: are stunned if they read about the concert. Kelly Osbourne said,
- 9:54Speaker 2: this is his funeral. This is how he wanted to
- 9:57Speaker 2: go out. He even said the this is you know,
- 10:01Speaker 2: I'm saying goodbye. Their plan was to go I believe
- 10:05Speaker 2: it was to Switzerland, where some reports said they were
- 10:09Speaker 2: he and Sharon were going to have assistant suicide together.
- 10:12Speaker 2: But he was, you know, after Parkinson's and spinal problems
- 10:17Speaker 2: and then you know, he had a bad back surgery
- 10:19Speaker 2: that basically just crippled him. And he he basically said,
- 10:24Speaker 2: I'm ready, you know, he goes, I don't need a
- 10:25Speaker 2: doctor to tell me I'm dying. I'm dying. This is why,
- 10:29Speaker 2: you know, I want to say goodbye with his concert.
- 10:31Speaker 2: He is like, you know, I can't even He goes,
- 10:33Speaker 2: I can't sing, I can't stand, you know, That's why.
- 10:37Speaker 1: I didn't in that final concert. Wasn't he sitting down
- 10:40Speaker 1: for the whole show?
- 10:41Speaker 2: He stood up for a little bit at the end,
- 10:44Speaker 2: which was kind of literally that was and they said
- 10:47Speaker 2: that took everything he had.
- 10:49Speaker 1: But it turns out that's a pretty good indicator of
- 10:51Speaker 1: death in the near future. I knew that from a
- 10:53Speaker 1: previous occurrence from somebody else when they couldn't stand at
- 10:57Speaker 1: a concert. Although although although to his credit, he lasted
- 11:02Speaker 1: longer than Ozzie did in that state, but two different
- 11:04Speaker 1: lifestyles overall. Yeah, I saw a headline earlier that said
- 11:08Speaker 1: Kelly Osborne had come out and said that I think
- 11:11Speaker 1: the suicide packed thing was not true. Right now, I
- 11:15Speaker 1: don't know if that's true or not. Keep in mind,
- 11:17Speaker 1: I saw that on the New York Post.
- 11:18Speaker 2: So I saw, I saw people go back and forth,
- 11:22Speaker 2: and it makes sense that it wasn't true because although
- 11:27Speaker 2: I know Sharon Osborne had cancer, I believe she's you know, healthy,
- 11:30Speaker 2: and but I do I don't. I don't know that
- 11:34Speaker 2: anyone disputed the fact that his plan was to go
- 11:37Speaker 2: to Switzerland and have assistant suicide. Yeah, he was. He
- 11:42Speaker 2: was in bad shape.
- 11:45Speaker 1: Yeah, I'm looking here. There was a haunting final post
- 11:50Speaker 1: from Ozzy Osbourne the day before he died. Tributes have
- 11:55Speaker 1: poured in following his death. His family said he passed
- 11:58Speaker 1: away on Tuesdays surround by Love as they announced the
- 12:01Speaker 1: sad news. It came just weeks after he played his
- 12:03Speaker 1: final gig with his band at Villa Park in Birmingham.
- 12:06Speaker 1: Hours before the news was announced, Osborne shared what was
- 12:10Speaker 1: to be his final social media post. It featured a
- 12:13Speaker 1: poster backstage at the Villa Park gig which said back
- 12:16Speaker 1: to the beginning the final show, He told thousands of
- 12:20Speaker 1: heavy metal enthusiasts at that concert on July fifth, and
- 12:23Speaker 1: it was so good to be on this stage as
- 12:25Speaker 1: he performed his last set from a large black throne,
- 12:30Speaker 1: and I'd realize it's not the same as running around
- 12:35Speaker 1: on stage and feeling really good. But I mean, if
- 12:37Speaker 1: you're gonna sit during a concert, then might as well
- 12:39Speaker 1: thrown it up.
- 12:40Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean I was never admittedly a huge fan
- 12:47Speaker 2: of his music. For me, he was more of a
- 12:54Speaker 2: I think the Osbourne's made him more of a cultural
- 12:56Speaker 2: icon than than anything.
- 13:01Speaker 1: Yeah, but he made shouting at your wife from across
- 13:04Speaker 1: a house really really entertaining. And I'm with you. I
- 13:13Speaker 1: was never a massive Black Sabbath fan. Now part of
- 13:17Speaker 1: that is age.
- 13:18Speaker 2: You know.
- 13:18Speaker 1: They hit the scene in nineteen sixty nine and bucked
- 13:21Speaker 1: all the hippie trend love stuff, which was phenomenal. And
- 13:26Speaker 1: I guarantee you that without Ozzy Osbourne, without Black Sabbath,
- 13:31Speaker 1: you don't get the multitude of metal bands that followed,
- 13:34Speaker 1: like my favorite band, which is Metallica. That's my age
- 13:37Speaker 1: difference there. So had I been older, had I been
- 13:40Speaker 1: about twenty years older, Black Sabbath might have been my guys.
- 13:44Speaker 1: But I was born later. Therefore I'm a Metallica guy.
- 13:48Speaker 1: But again, you don't get Metallica without Ossie and Black Sabbath.
- 13:53Speaker 2: I totally agree, and I think this is probably maybe
- 13:58Speaker 2: where you know, the five year age difference between us
- 14:04Speaker 2: is noticeable because when I was growing up, you know,
- 14:06Speaker 2: some mid eighties is when Ozzie does the whole and
- 14:10Speaker 2: I don't think he really ever did it, but the
- 14:12Speaker 2: whole bat story, and then the stage of San Antonio
- 14:15Speaker 2: comes out, which made him public enemy number one for
- 14:20Speaker 2: a brief moment.
- 14:22Speaker 1: Yeah, the story was that at a concert in San Antonio,
- 14:24Speaker 1: he bit the head off of a bat. Yes, now,
- 14:26Speaker 1: didn't it didn't Did they come out later and say
- 14:29Speaker 1: it was more of a staged thing, like either it
- 14:31Speaker 1: wasn't a real bat or it was a real bat
- 14:34Speaker 1: but it was one that had already been dead or something.
- 14:36Speaker 1: It's yeah, but he really did take a leak on
- 14:40Speaker 1: the Alamo, and he really was banned there for many,
- 14:42Speaker 1: many years.
- 14:44Speaker 2: And now they're hanging up Pee Wee's bike.
- 14:48Speaker 1: Everything just everything inevitably goes back home and goes to
- 14:54Speaker 1: where it's.

- 15:58Speaker 2: Today.
- 15:59Speaker 1: Pretty much simple that I'm Dan, He's trade. This is
- 16:01Speaker 1: the tree House Show. Thursday, July twenty fourth, twenty twenty five.
- 16:06Speaker 1: We are now almost a week removed from the viral
- 16:11Speaker 1: tech CEOs canoodling on the kiss cam at the Coldplay
- 16:15Speaker 1: concert with his head of HR, and the fallout just continues.
- 16:20Speaker 1: And while this story has been and endlessly entertaining that
- 16:29Speaker 1: there is something of a destruction of two families occurring
- 16:32Speaker 1: that we're not seeing based on that, the tech CEO's
- 16:39Speaker 1: wife is apparently holed up in their mansion since the
- 16:46Speaker 1: husband was caught canoondling with the HR exec at the
- 16:48Speaker 1: Coldplay concert, and can't say I blame her. Astronomer CEO
- 16:57Speaker 1: Andy Byron is the one that was in the video
- 16:59Speaker 1: and his wife is reportedly holed up in their two
- 17:02Speaker 1: point four million dollar main mansion since he was caught
- 17:05Speaker 1: on camera at the Coldplay concert cozying up with his
- 17:07Speaker 1: head of HR. Megan Buyers her name, She's fifty. She
- 17:11Speaker 1: fled her and her husband's multimillion dollar home in Northborough,
- 17:14Speaker 1: Massachusetts for the Ritzy Residents and can Abunk some one
- 17:17Speaker 1: hundred miles away in Maine. She's since been hiding out there.
- 17:21Speaker 1: And I'm sure that comes with infidelity when you're on
- 17:25Speaker 1: the receiving end of it, is a massive amount of embarrassment,
- 17:30Speaker 1: even though you've done nothing wrong as far as we know.
- 17:33Speaker 1: And should have nothing to feel embarrassed about. But human
- 17:37Speaker 1: emotions are a funny thing, and when you find out
- 17:41Speaker 1: you're being cheated on, it's embarrassing finding out you're being
- 17:45Speaker 1: cheated on in front of millions of people, possibly billions
- 17:51Speaker 1: now that know the situation of your marriage. I can't
- 17:54Speaker 1: imagine the level of embarrassment.
- 17:57Speaker 2: No, and to get blinded by it, like because you
- 18:04Speaker 2: have to wonder did he did he tell her or
- 18:12Speaker 2: did he hope that maybe no one figured it out
- 18:15Speaker 2: and it was just Yeah, it was embarrassing, but it
- 18:17Speaker 2: wouldn't be all over the internet.
- 18:21Speaker 1: Oh that is interesting. I hadn't thought about that, because
- 18:26Speaker 1: there was there was time from the incident at the
- 18:29Speaker 1: concert to when it went public and picked up steam
- 18:33Speaker 1: and then became the beginnings of a viral sensation. You're right,
- 18:39Speaker 1: that may have been. I would have loved to have
- 18:41Speaker 1: been a fly on the wall that night, because I
- 18:44Speaker 1: can't imagine the amount of sweat that he produced. How
- 18:52Speaker 1: to type the stomach acid me, there's not enough. There's
- 18:56Speaker 1: not enough ant acid on the planet to keep that down.
- 19:00Speaker 1: Because he knows what happened and he's just wondering what's
- 19:05Speaker 1: going to happen. I mean, I'm surprised. I mean, you're
- 19:09Speaker 1: talking about a level of stress and anxiety that would
- 19:14Speaker 1: make someone's bee hole puckers so tight it might actually
- 19:17Speaker 1: cause a rift in the space time continuum and threaten us.
- 19:21Speaker 3: All.
- 19:26Speaker 2: Yeah, I cannot fathom the angst that you would go
- 19:30Speaker 2: through of not only of oh my god, you know,
- 19:38Speaker 2: did someone because I'm sure at first he's like, well,
- 19:40Speaker 2: I wonder if someone, if anyone really picked up on it,
- 19:44Speaker 2: you know, were they paying that much attention to the
- 19:46Speaker 2: kiss cam or a were they watching? Could play.
- 19:50Speaker 1: Well when Chris Martin calls you out specifically, yeah, because
- 19:55Speaker 1: that's part of what his anxiety induced reaction would be.
- 19:58Speaker 1: I would imagine is replaying over and over his and
- 20:03Speaker 1: hers reaction to it, because had they just played it cool,
- 20:07Speaker 1: this might have been a non issue, had they just
- 20:10Speaker 1: frozen in place and just been like a brief, cutesy
- 20:14Speaker 1: moment that would have disappeared into all the other ones
- 20:17Speaker 1: that they showed on that screen that night. But because
- 20:20Speaker 1: of their immediate grotesque reaction to it, that's what sold it.
- 20:27Speaker 2: You think he pondered the shaggy defense.
- 20:31Speaker 1: It wasn't me, you know what, when you're in that scenario,
- 20:38Speaker 1: you really do need to consider all options. Yeah, just
- 20:42Speaker 1: one thousand percent. Deny, deny, deny is an option.
- 20:46Speaker 2: That's the camera. It wasn't me, not me, that's not.
- 20:51Speaker 1: Me at all.
- 20:55Speaker 3: Baby.
- 20:55Speaker 1: I was at crochet club with Mahomie. Yeah, you know,
- 21:01Speaker 1: that's what we do on Friday nights. We hang out.
- 21:04Speaker 1: We we drink some really prissy uh micro bruise, and
- 21:09Speaker 1: and we crochet.
- 21:12Speaker 2: One if his wife called her husband up and was like, hey,
- 21:14Speaker 2: you want to you want to just bang it out.
- 21:18Speaker 1: At the next cool a concert I in front of
- 21:25Speaker 1: everybody like that. All they did was hug.
- 21:28Speaker 4: Yeah.

- 22:16Speaker 1: to a friend today. We appreciate it. The tree House
- 22:19Speaker 1: is open, so let's grow together. I'm Dany's Trey this
- 22:24Speaker 1: is the tree House Show. Lots of interesting music news
- 22:28Speaker 1: going on. We've got the death of Ozzy Osbourne, We've
- 22:33Speaker 1: got the fallout still from the viral kiss cam situation
- 22:38Speaker 1: at the Coldplay concert. And apparently a bug can ruin
- 22:42Speaker 1: an entire Beyonce concert, which is pretty ironic when you
- 22:46Speaker 1: considered her nickname is Queen Bee. A stampede broke out
- 22:51Speaker 1: at an Atlanta train station last week as fans were
- 22:54Speaker 1: leaving a Beyonce show, leaving eleven people injured, seven of
- 22:58Speaker 1: those being transport to the hospital, and it was all
- 23:01Speaker 1: because someone freaked out when they saw a bug. A
- 23:06Speaker 1: public transport official says a person began screaming and running,
- 23:10Speaker 1: causing a stampede on the escalator that caused it to
- 23:13Speaker 1: temporarily speed up and then stop suddenly. I'm sorry, but
- 23:17Speaker 1: I want to see that security camp for it. That
- 23:18Speaker 1: sounds hysterical. Most people suffered minor injuries, although one person
- 23:23Speaker 1: broke their ankle. The type of bug has not been identified.
- 23:28Speaker 1: I have a theory on this. My theory is that
- 23:31Speaker 1: maybe it was not a bug. Someone said, oh, no,
- 23:36Speaker 1: I saw a bug. Maybe that was the first person
- 23:40Speaker 1: that said no, I saw a bug. But maybe others
- 23:43Speaker 1: around her thought that she said gun because I can't
- 23:48Speaker 1: imagine a swath of people running from one bug.
- 23:55Speaker 2: Okay, dan uh oh. So you and your lovely wife
- 24:03Speaker 2: are at a subway station mm hmm. A roach crawls
- 24:08Speaker 2: across her foot mm hmm.
- 24:13Speaker 1: And the reaction is someone's gonna call out gun because
- 24:16Speaker 1: I have to I have to kill the roach. Hah.
- 24:24Speaker 1: You thought you had to be, didn't you. Maybe that's
- 24:30Speaker 1: what Maybe maybe that's what happened in this scenario as well.
- 24:33Speaker 1: Maybe it was a couple and she saw her her
- 24:36Speaker 1: nemesis bug, the one that she's you know, horrifically phobic about,
- 24:40Speaker 1: and the the guy's like, I don't worry, baby, I
- 24:44Speaker 1: got you, and he pulls out his sawd off and
- 24:46Speaker 1: takes care of business. And then of course everyone runs
- 24:49Speaker 1: as they should.
- 24:50Speaker 2: I mean, I have seen videos from a primarily from
- 24:57Speaker 2: New York, but I have seen videos of rats that
- 25:03Speaker 2: if I saw one that the way people had filmed
- 25:06Speaker 2: them and that close to me, I probably would cause
- 25:10Speaker 2: a stampede because all of a sudden there would be
- 25:13Speaker 2: a fifty year old man running and screaming, and I
- 25:16Speaker 2: would probably be screaming. You know, kill it with fire,
- 25:18Speaker 2: kill it with a gun, you know, launch everything you
- 25:22Speaker 2: have so the air force uh huh, yes, you know
- 25:28Speaker 2: those bunker busters they use in and for the Iranians.
- 25:32Speaker 2: Let's you know, get to be fifty two's up. Kill it,
- 25:36Speaker 2: kill it with everything you've got.
- 25:39Speaker 1: Killing it with fire would be too easy. We must
- 25:42Speaker 1: destroy it with bunker busters.
- 25:44Speaker 2: From one size of those things. I don't know that
- 25:46Speaker 2: fire would do the trick.
- 25:48Speaker 1: Okay, I feel like this is happening a lot lately.
- 25:51Speaker 1: But I've known you for more than twenty years, and
- 25:52Speaker 1: I don't think I knew that you were this afraid
- 25:55Speaker 1: of rats. Yeah, I do not like what about nice?
- 26:00Speaker 1: Same thing with mice? Or are they cute to you?
- 26:04Speaker 2: I can deal with I don't like them, but I
- 26:07Speaker 2: can deal with them. But you know, if you can't
- 26:11Speaker 2: tell the difference between a rat and a possum, that's here.
- 26:18Speaker 1: Yeah, if they look like they could be twins.
- 26:21Speaker 2: And I have grown to really love and appreciate opossums. Rats,
- 26:27Speaker 2: I do.
- 26:27Speaker 1: Not how traumatized, How traumatizing are rats to you? I'm
- 26:35Speaker 1: really fascinated by this now, Like was it difficult for
- 26:38Speaker 1: you to watch?
- 26:38Speaker 4: You know?
- 26:39Speaker 1: The teenage mutant ninja turtles because their their master was Splinter,
- 26:43Speaker 1: a really big rat that could talk.
- 26:46Speaker 2: No, okay, no, here's where rats became traumatizing to me
- 26:54Speaker 2: when I was growing up. This is when I lived
- 26:58Speaker 2: out in Leonard and the first house we had, at
- 27:03Speaker 2: one point we got a rat infestation in our attic
- 27:10Speaker 2: and for some reason they congregated, and I believe it
- 27:17Speaker 2: was because there was an event above my bedroom and
- 27:21Speaker 2: so at night I could hear them scratching and clawing,
- 27:26Speaker 2: and at one point they had torn a hole in
- 27:32Speaker 2: the air conditioning ductwork. So then sometimes I could even
- 27:36Speaker 2: see them, and they scared the living moment out of me.
- 27:44Speaker 3: Okay.
- 27:44Speaker 4: Interesting.
- 27:47Speaker 1: I'm also fascinated by experiences when we're young, because those
- 27:51Speaker 1: experiences as children shape us as adults.
- 27:55Speaker 2: And in my.
- 27:56Speaker 1: Experience, which is in no way related to anything perfessional,
- 28:00Speaker 1: So keep that in mind.
- 28:01Speaker 2: Okay.
- 28:02Speaker 1: It seems when you're exposed to something like that traumatic
- 28:05Speaker 1: as a child as an adult, you either are pulled
- 28:10Speaker 1: towards it more as an adult had you not been
- 28:13Speaker 1: experienced or had you not had that experience as a kid,
- 28:16Speaker 1: or you're repelled by it's there doesn't seem to be
- 28:18Speaker 1: a whole lot of wiggle room in between, kind of
- 28:21Speaker 1: like Batman with bats. He was terrified of bats, so
- 28:24Speaker 1: he became what he was afraid of. Whereas you, like
- 28:30Speaker 1: with the rats. Obviously you did not become Ratman at
- 28:32Speaker 1: least not that I'm aware of. But you could have
- 28:35Speaker 1: gone to the like where you're phobic with rats kind
- 28:38Speaker 1: of like you are, or you're in love with rats,
- 28:40Speaker 1: and then you become a furry.
- 28:43Speaker 2: No, no, I here my other.
- 28:46Speaker 1: Which honestly, the thought of you being a furry is
- 28:48Speaker 1: hysterical to me. And and and you not being allowed
- 28:52Speaker 1: at a chuck E cheese not because of the kids.
- 28:57Speaker 2: My overwhelming problem with rats is like I used to
- 29:02Speaker 2: be afraid of opossums, but then I realized that they
- 29:05Speaker 2: do so much good that and that I I grew
- 29:10Speaker 2: to appreciate them. Rats don't have that same they they
- 29:18Speaker 2: really I can't find use for them. They they don't
- 29:21Speaker 2: eat bugs, They're not They're just gross. They're disease carrying
- 29:24Speaker 2: little just nasty efforts. So no, I I don't know there.
- 29:31Speaker 1: What if that is their purpose? I mean like spread?
- 29:40Speaker 2: Yes?
- 29:41Speaker 1: What if what if that's actually their purpose is to
- 29:43Speaker 1: spread disease and nastiness, so it kills off other species.
- 29:48Speaker 2: I mean the plague. They if they're if their purpose
- 29:52Speaker 2: was to keep the humanity in check, then I'd say,
- 29:55Speaker 2: not only are they gross, disgusting little that they've they've
- 30:00Speaker 2: being failed because we're heading were getting close to ten
- 30:03Speaker 2: billion people.
- 30:06Speaker 1: So it's one thing. It's one thing to be nasty
- 30:09Speaker 1: little efforts. It's something else to be lazy.
- 30:12Speaker 2: You're a lazy failure and nasty way to get through.

- 30:57Speaker 1: All right, this is the Treehouse Show. I'm Annamalley along
- 31:00Speaker 1: with Trey Trenholme. Today is Thursday, July twenty fourth, twenty
- 31:05Speaker 1: twenty five. Let's celebrate today, and let's do that with
- 31:09Speaker 1: some birthdays turning twenty seven today. Bendy Irwin. Bendy Irwin
- 31:17Speaker 1: is twenty seven. That is Steve the Crocodile Hunter's daughter
- 31:20Speaker 1: and the winner of season twenty one of Dancing with
- 31:24Speaker 1: the Stars. Good for Her. She played Felicity on the
- 31:28Speaker 1: TV show Arrow. Emily Bette Rickards is thirty four, Dobby
- 31:34Speaker 1: Chase is thirty five. That Samar the dead girl from
- 31:37Speaker 1: the Well in the Ring, also played Donnie's little sister
- 31:41Speaker 1: and Donnie Darko and is Leelo in Leelo and Stitch.
- 31:46Speaker 1: Talk about one of these roles is not like the others,
- 31:52Speaker 1: the adorable little girl in Missus, Doubtfire and Matilda. Her
- 31:55Speaker 1: name is Mario Wilson. She is thirty eight. She graduated
- 31:58Speaker 1: from NYU in two thousand nine, and she has a
- 32:01Speaker 1: blog now good for her. Elizabeth Moss is forty three today.
- 32:06Speaker 1: This is one of my favorite actresses. You know, she
- 32:08Speaker 1: is just based on her name, Trey.
- 32:13Speaker 2: I'm drawing a blank. I know the name.
- 32:16Speaker 1: She is Afred, the star of The Handmaid's Tale, okay,
- 32:20Speaker 1: Peggy Olsen and mad Men and the first daughter Zoe
- 32:23Speaker 1: Bartlett on the West Wing. Most yeah, most actors don't
- 32:30Speaker 1: get one good TV show in their lifetime. She got three,
- 32:36Speaker 1: three bona Fide Emmy winning shows in a row. And
- 32:40Speaker 1: she's done some other projects on the side as well,
- 32:43Speaker 1: and I think one or two other TV projects. But
- 32:46Speaker 1: I mean, it is phenomenal what her career has been. Again,
- 32:51Speaker 1: starting out on the West Wing, then in mad Men,
- 32:54Speaker 1: then in handmaid S Tale. Really really, you know what,
- 32:56Speaker 1: good job Elizabeth Moss.
- 32:58Speaker 2: She's had another one too, because I because I didn't know,
- 33:06Speaker 2: I never placed, I never connected the dots with her
- 33:09Speaker 2: that she was in the West Wing. I never have
- 33:13Speaker 2: watched mad Men, but good there was something else she
- 33:19Speaker 2: was in.
- 33:19Speaker 1: I was like, she was in She was in one
- 33:22Speaker 1: of the remake, I think the most recent remake of
- 33:25Speaker 1: the Invisible Man movie. I have not seen it. It's
- 33:29Speaker 1: been on my list to see it for a while
- 33:32Speaker 1: because apparently it's very, very good. And she's one of
- 33:35Speaker 1: those actresses now that is or one of those actors
- 33:38Speaker 1: that's kind of on my list where if this individual
- 33:44Speaker 1: is in something, I'm immediately interested just because of their involvement.
- 33:47Speaker 1: And she's she's she makes that list for me.
- 33:50Speaker 2: Yeah, she is like, oh god, oh man.
- 33:57Speaker 1: You need more of your girl coffee.
- 34:01Speaker 2: I always draw a blank on this girl's name. She
- 34:03Speaker 2: was in uh, what was it? The Gulch? The what
- 34:05Speaker 2: was the And she's in The Queen's Gambit.
- 34:10Speaker 1: Oh Anya Taylor Joy, Yes, you mean The Gorge.
- 34:14Speaker 2: The Gorge.
- 34:15Speaker 1: I'm pretty sure. I'm pretty sure The Gulch is a
- 34:18Speaker 1: very different movie than The Gorge. It might be more
- 34:20Speaker 1: of it might be like the porn version of the gorge.
- 34:25Speaker 2: But she's one that if I see her, I'm like that.
- 34:33Speaker 1: I kind of a feeling that the Gulch is more
- 34:35Speaker 1: about gagging than it is about, you know, interdimensional monsters.
- 34:41Speaker 1: Can we just take a brief moment to appreciate certain
- 34:44Speaker 1: words in the English language, like gulch. That's a good word,
- 34:48Speaker 1: that's got a good sound that resonates.
- 34:51Speaker 2: It's the same and per definition, it works.
- 34:54Speaker 1: Yeah, I mean it's it's it's it's Gulch is a
- 34:57Speaker 1: synonym of gorge. Yeah, it just feels different when you
- 35:01Speaker 1: hear it and when you say it goulge. Anyway, I'm
- 35:11Speaker 1: with you there, Anya Taylor Joy. I'm a big fan
- 35:13Speaker 1: of hers as well. Anna paq one also a child
- 35:17Speaker 1: star turned adult star. She is also forty three today.
- 35:21Speaker 2: She won.
- 35:24Speaker 1: An Oscar for Best Supporting Actress at the age of
- 35:28Speaker 1: ten opposite of Harvey Kayel's penis in the Piano It's
- 35:34Speaker 1: pretty sad. I know three things about that film. I
- 35:38Speaker 1: know Anna Paquin won an Oscar for her Best Supporting
- 35:43Speaker 1: role as a ten year old, and I know it's
- 35:45Speaker 1: about a piano, and I know that Harvey Kytel does
- 35:48Speaker 1: full frontal lin it. As far as I'm concerned, if
- 35:50Speaker 1: you're starring opposite that, then ever one should get an oscar.
- 35:53Speaker 2: I mean, isn't that Harvey Kayel shtick because that was
- 35:55Speaker 2: the whole thing with one of.
- 35:57Speaker 1: His first movies, no trade, not no, no, not shtick,
- 36:03Speaker 1: but rhyme's. Honestly, I don't know if that if that
- 36:10Speaker 1: was part of his thing as an actor, was it?
- 36:15Speaker 1: I'm not sure if I remember the name of the
- 36:16Speaker 1: movie correctly, Like Bad Cop or something like that where
- 36:19Speaker 1: he plays a bad police officer or a bad detective.
- 36:23Speaker 1: I want to say, like in New Orleans or something like.
- 36:25Speaker 1: One of the scenes he's basically, you know, beaten it
- 36:29Speaker 1: next to someone's car window. I don't think you see anything,
- 36:32Speaker 1: but he's, you know, physically going to town.
- 36:35Speaker 2: I think it was a bad lieutenant. I think maybe
- 36:37Speaker 2: that's it.
- 36:38Speaker 1: Yeah, bad lieutenant. Yeah. Other actress Summer Glou turns forty four.
- 36:44Speaker 1: She was Cameron the Terminator on the Sarah Connor Chronicles.
- 36:47Speaker 1: She was also Rivertam on Firefly Slash Serenity. Summer Glow
- 36:52Speaker 1: turns forty four. Today, Rose Byrne is forty six. This
- 36:56Speaker 1: is another actress that I really really joy her work.
- 37:01Speaker 1: She is Renee Lambert in the Insidious movies, Seth Rogan's
- 37:05Speaker 1: wife in Neighbors, Kristin Wiggs, Nemesis, and Bridesmaids, and if
- 37:10Speaker 1: you watched her show on Apple TV plus Physical, there's
- 37:15Speaker 1: a few seasons of that, really really fun actress Roseburn
- 37:20Speaker 1: forty six and Patty Jenkins, very female heavy day. Patty
- 37:28Speaker 1: Jenkins the director of the Wonder Woman movies. She is
- 37:31Speaker 1: fifty four. I don't know if you followed this as
- 37:33Speaker 1: closely as I did, Trey, probably not, because I'm a
- 37:35Speaker 1: movie dork. So that Wonder Woman movie she directed did really,
- 37:38Speaker 1: really well, so well that the Star Wars people said, hey,
- 37:40Speaker 1: we want you to do a Star Wars movie, and
- 37:42Speaker 1: she's like, yeah, cool, let's do it. And then Wonder
- 37:45Speaker 1: Woman nineteen eighty four came out and then the Star
- 37:47Speaker 1: Wars people said, you know, we're going to pass on.
- 37:49Speaker 2: Thank you very much.
- 37:51Speaker 1: You somehow managed to ruin the eighties.
- 37:57Speaker 2: And so badly that a franchise that seems to just
- 38:02Speaker 2: crap on itself was like, yeah, we'll pass.
- 38:06Speaker 1: H which by the way, starred Kristen Wigg and Pedro
- 38:11Speaker 1: Pascal as bad guys in that movie, and it's still
- 38:16Speaker 1: flopped like it like just a massive h person at
- 38:23Speaker 1: a didty party.
- 38:26Speaker 2: A mythological amazonianterd that too.
- 38:31Speaker 1: That also works.

- 39:07Speaker 1: there on our website Treehouse on air dot com. What
- 39:12Speaker 1: would you do for a million dollars? Earlier this week,
- 39:17Speaker 1: Trey You and I talked about forty six percent of
- 39:20Speaker 1: people surveyed would enter a real life squid Game for
- 39:24Speaker 1: a shot at thirty three million dollars. That's the prize
- 39:29Speaker 1: in US dollars. That season one winner of squid Game
- 39:32Speaker 1: got right well. That was part of a larger financially
- 39:37Speaker 1: based survey, and other questions they asked in this survey
- 39:41Speaker 1: included what would you give up for one million dollars?
- 39:46Speaker 1: Some people would give up their most important relationships. Beyond
- 39:50Speaker 1: abandoning romantic partners, forty one percent would swear off sex entirely.
- 39:59Speaker 1: So that begs the question that I'm now posing to you, Trey,
- 40:02Speaker 1: for one million dollars, would you give up sex entirely?
- 40:06Speaker 2: Does that include masturbation?
- 40:08Speaker 1: I don't know. Let's say yes.
- 40:11Speaker 2: No.
- 40:12Speaker 1: Now, let's say no, meaning you can still Harvey Kai
- 40:16Speaker 1: tell it.
- 40:21Speaker 2: For just for one million dollars.
- 40:23Speaker 1: For one million dollars, would you give up sex with others?
- 40:28Speaker 1: I mean you're basically doing it now for free?
- 40:29Speaker 2: So yeah, it's uh yeah, kind of a bigger TV. Uh.
- 40:48Speaker 1: It's hard. It is hard, and pun is not totally intended,
- 40:52Speaker 1: but it's it's one thing. And Okay, this is why
- 40:57Speaker 1: it's so difficult, because you're not just moving up sex.
- 41:01Speaker 1: You'd be giving up the hope for sex because right now,
- 41:04Speaker 1: as it is, while you might be celibate or a
- 41:08Speaker 1: dry spell, however you want to frame it, you still
- 41:11Speaker 1: have hope. Yeah, Whereas if you take that million dollars,
- 41:18Speaker 1: there goes the hope. Now million dollars for no sex
- 41:21Speaker 1: with others forever.
- 41:24Speaker 2: Yeah, I'm I'm gonna say no.
- 41:29Speaker 1: Because turns out you are an optimist.
- 41:34Speaker 2: Well, and here here's my reasoning. Is I am very
- 41:43Speaker 2: close to being a hermit. As is the one thing
- 41:47Speaker 2: that kind of sometimes gets me out of the house.
- 41:49Speaker 2: Is that the delusion of maybe meeting someone and leading
- 41:54Speaker 2: to a relationship and or sex. If I swear off
- 41:59Speaker 2: you know, yeah, realized that wasn't the I would never
- 42:04Speaker 2: leave the house.
- 42:06Speaker 1: This is this is truly enlightening to me, partly because
- 42:12Speaker 1: now I have to question any time you asked me
- 42:14Speaker 1: to go to lunch.
- 42:21Speaker 2: Hope Springs Eternal Dance.
- 42:30Speaker 1: Was its so dimly lided? Here, Trey, it's all Beyonce

- 42:58Speaker 1: here inside the tree. Now that's probably better off you
- 43:00Speaker 1: A
