- 0:08Speaker 1: deal with one hundred degree heat all the time. How
- 0:10Speaker 1: do we get through this?
- 0:12Speaker 2: Oh it's great, it's only going to be eighty eight
- 0:14Speaker 2: this week.
- 0:15Speaker 1: Oh okay, cold spell? All right?
- 0:18Speaker 2: You want to say, make a comment about these democrats
- 0:23Speaker 2: like Hochel, we're trying to align themselves with the socialists
- 0:27Speaker 2: and running scared. And Kennedy's sixty one addressed everybody who
- 0:31Speaker 2: remembers the line about a snot what your country can
- 0:34Speaker 2: do it for you. But he also had a line
- 0:37Speaker 2: those who foolishly sought power by riding the back of
- 0:40Speaker 2: the tiger ended up inside. And I think that discrisses.
- 0:45Speaker 1: People to a t Yeah. No, that's Hochel. Definitely she good.
- 0:49Speaker 1: Michael Goodwin column this weekend about Hochel foolishly thinking she
- 0:53Speaker 1: could ever satisfy the Mom Donnie crowd. They'll eat her
- 0:56Speaker 1: alive at some point, which is good. Bruce Blakeman should
- 0:59Speaker 1: be then next governor of New York. Got to see
- 1:03Speaker 1: that happen. Go to Blakemanfronewyork dot com. Donate help. Go
- 1:07Speaker 1: to Blakemanfronewyork dot com. Let's go to uh Mara in Nevada. Mara,
- 1:13Speaker 1: how you doing?
- 1:14Speaker 3: Mark?
- 1:15Speaker 4: Vincent told me to call. It's been a year since
- 1:18Speaker 4: we were Patsy's having lunch and you came in.
- 1:22Speaker 1: Oh yeah, Vincent and Maara met at Patsy's the Great Restaurant,
- 1:25Speaker 1: and I stopped.
- 1:26Speaker 4: No, not only that, I met you and I hugged you.
- 1:29Speaker 3: Mark.
- 1:30Speaker 4: You know I'm almost an antique.
- 1:32Speaker 1: Yeah, not quite, but no, no.
- 1:34Speaker 4: I'm in ninety six and I've been listening to you.
- 1:38Speaker 4: Were you happy to meet me?
- 1:39Speaker 1: I was the thrill of my life. I couldn't believe.
- 1:42Speaker 1: I thought so now. But from that day on, you
- 1:45Speaker 1: and Vincent became close friends.
- 1:47Speaker 4: You called, Oh yeah, even before that you introduced us.
- 1:51Speaker 4: We took every week each equals me Aunt Mara.
- 1:54Speaker 1: I love your Aunt Marra. All right, Mara? And how
- 1:56Speaker 1: hot does it get to one hundred out there?
- 1:58Speaker 4: And you want to know, it's six six out of here?
- 2:01Speaker 1: Yeah, but it gets to one hundred out there? How
- 2:02Speaker 1: do you get through that?
- 2:03Speaker 4: Oh yeah, oh yeah, yeah, but we oh yeah, I
- 2:06Speaker 4: to tell but we don't have humidity, honey, that's the thing.
- 2:09Speaker 3: We just stop with that.
- 2:10Speaker 1: They always tell you, oh, there's no humidity, you know
- 2:12Speaker 1: what's horrible.
- 2:14Speaker 4: No, no, no, I'm not lying to you.
- 2:16Speaker 1: There's no humidity in my oven either, but it's still
- 2:18Speaker 1: four hundred.
- 2:19Speaker 4: I know you can't stand outside. No, I'd be lying
- 2:21Speaker 4: to you if I tell you you can't.
- 2:23Speaker 1: All right, Mara, Well, good call, Thanks for calling. Let's
- 2:25Speaker 1: go to uh Mike in Florida. Mike, how you doing.
- 2:29Speaker 5: Good morning, Mark, Yes, Mike, And you're right about the
- 2:32Speaker 5: heat down here and what you're going to be enduring
- 2:35Speaker 5: this weekend. The one thing you won't have to endure
- 2:38Speaker 5: is the little power outages I get every couple of
- 2:41Speaker 5: days down here because they can't seem to get the
- 2:44Speaker 5: lights to stay on.
- 2:45Speaker 1: Well, don't don't chinkit, don't chinxit here.
- 2:48Speaker 3: Well it happened last night.
- 2:49Speaker 6: I had to get up early for cataract surgery this morning,
- 2:51Speaker 6: and the lights are blinking in the middle of the night. Anyway,
- 2:56Speaker 6: I wanted to say that, you know they're gonna you know,
- 2:58Speaker 6: it's not the Democrat Republican who are going to make
- 3:01Speaker 6: I'm Dining the face of the party. It's the Democrats
- 3:04Speaker 6: because they want him to be the super radical, so
- 3:06Speaker 6: they can make AOC seem moderate insane. They did the
- 3:10Speaker 6: same thing with Biden.
- 3:11Speaker 5: And then she'll get in and she'll be a communist just.
- 3:15Speaker 3: Like the best of them.
- 3:17Speaker 1: That could be. That could It's a strategy that's not
- 3:21Speaker 1: a bad strategy, I mean for them. But all right,
- 3:24Speaker 1: well thanks for that. You know the problem with AOC
- 3:28Speaker 1: problem number one, she doesn't know anything. She knows nothing
- 3:30Speaker 1: about anything. Remember she went to Davos, the big World
- 3:32Speaker 1: Economic Forum and went to speak there and didn't know
- 3:36Speaker 1: a damn thing about anything with economicists and know nothing,
- 3:39Speaker 1: didn't know anything about foreign policy. You'd think if she
- 3:42Speaker 1: was going there, she would have boned up on it. Study.
- 3:45Speaker 1: I mean, it's like a twelve hour plane ride. You
- 3:47Speaker 1: get at least study a little. But nope, doesn't know anything.
- 3:51Speaker 1: But and that was Kamala Harris's problem. But but you
- 3:56Speaker 1: know a lot of these democrats don't care. They just
- 3:58Speaker 1: see a D and they start voting. And let's go
- 4:00Speaker 1: to Rich and Myrtle Beach Rich, how you doing, hey?
- 4:04Speaker 3: Thanks? Mark Hot Hot Hot is one hundred and four.
- 4:06Speaker 3: It felt like one hundred and four down here, and
- 4:08Speaker 3: some it would be like that almost every day for
- 4:09Speaker 3: the rest of the summer. Now, so.
- 4:12Speaker 1: Tell us how to get through it. What do you do?
- 4:15Speaker 2: Well?
- 4:15Speaker 3: What you want to sit by the pool and jump
- 4:17Speaker 3: in the pool. And you know thing, if you go
- 4:18Speaker 3: to the beach down here, as long as you're have
- 4:20Speaker 3: a breeze on the beach, it's not too bad. But
- 4:23Speaker 3: if the breeze is light or nonexistent by eleven o'clock,
- 4:26Speaker 3: you have to get off the beach and come home
- 4:28Speaker 3: and sit in their conditioning or jumping it out of
- 4:30Speaker 3: the pool. You gotta you know, drink, you know, stay hydrache,
- 4:33Speaker 3: just like they always say. But it's just it is
- 4:35Speaker 3: what it is. And the funny thing is is when
- 4:37Speaker 3: I was living a long island, the hottest part of
- 4:39Speaker 3: the day is like two three o'clock in the afternoon.
- 4:41Speaker 3: Down here, the hottest part of the day is five
- 4:43Speaker 3: and six o'clock in you have doing It's like never
- 4:45Speaker 3: ending down here, and the humidity is like light years
- 4:48Speaker 3: ahead of what it is even living a long iron
- 4:50Speaker 3: living on the ocean like I did. The aumidity down here,
- 4:52Speaker 3: it took me years to get used to it. In
- 4:54Speaker 3: the first couple of years I was here, I couldn't
- 4:56Speaker 3: even believe it was like walking through soup all the time.
- 4:58Speaker 1: You know, well, I remember that you're thinking of moving
- 5:00Speaker 1: to North Carolina or Florida. I just remember that. All right,
- 5:03Speaker 1: thanks for calling. Let's go to Ernie is speaking of
- 5:06Speaker 1: Long Island. Ernie in Northport, Ernie. How you doing.
- 5:11Speaker 3: Good? Good morning, Mark, Chuck Schumer.
- 5:13Speaker 1: I mean, this guy amazes me.
- 5:15Speaker 3: You know, he's got a problem with the communists in
- 5:18Speaker 3: the state.
- 5:19Speaker 5: You think he would get out in front of this,
- 5:21Speaker 5: but this guy's got no backbone.
- 5:22Speaker 1: You think he would defend himself.
- 5:23Speaker 3: He's going to get primary And the other thing.
- 5:26Speaker 5: I think what you said about him.
- 5:27Speaker 1: He takes his compliments. I mean, this guy is I
- 5:30Speaker 1: can't believe. Yeah, he's a pathetic, cheap hustling politician. And
- 5:34Speaker 1: he looked so ridiculous in that parade with this old
- 5:39Speaker 1: microphone from highway patrol that he's talking into. And that
- 5:42Speaker 1: shirt is like you know what Lalo Salamanca wore in
- 5:47Speaker 1: the breaking bad that summer shirt and just looked ridiculous.
- 5:51Speaker 1: Let me find it again. The crowd when they saw Schumer,
- 5:54Speaker 1: this was the reaction, and this is the pride parade.
- 6:05Speaker 1: I would assume the crowd is mostly democratic, and how
- 6:09Speaker 1: what they do when they saw Schumer. Until he's finished,
- 6:14Speaker 1: it's the end of the line for him, can never
- 6:16Speaker 1: run for anything again. If he well, I was gonna
- 6:20Speaker 1: say he should resign, But then Hokel gets to appoint
- 6:23Speaker 1: a replacement, and to pander, she would appoint a left
- 6:26Speaker 1: wing socialist. So let him stay there, let him finish
- 6:28Speaker 1: out the term. Hey, Michael Goodwin is away, but when
- 6:31Speaker 1: we come back, we'll talk to Liz Peak, the brilliant columnist.
- 6:35Speaker 1: Coming up next on seven to ten wor
