- 0:00Speaker 1: Toby and Chilly Mornings on demand on ninety seven point
- 0:04Speaker 1: one wash Out.
- 0:05Speaker 2: I hope you're waking up and enjoying some coffee on
- 0:08Speaker 2: the patio or maybe on the couch this morning, relaxing
- 0:12Speaker 2: a bit before the week sets in. It's ninety seven
- 0:14Speaker 2: point one wash FM. This is the day on a
- 0:18Speaker 2: Tuesday where momentum beats motivation. If you ask me, you know,
- 0:21Speaker 2: Monday's behind everybody. Today's about getting into the rhythm, getting
- 0:25Speaker 2: just one thing accomplished, getting something knocked off your to
- 0:28Speaker 2: do list, feeling a little more in control than yesterday.
- 0:32Speaker 2: That's Tuesday, Tuesday, So why are you feeling good today?
- 0:35Speaker 3: I'm feeling good because I don't know if I mentioned
- 0:38Speaker 3: at this hour, but our dog is recovering from a
- 0:41Speaker 3: little back injury, and she's taken to the crate better
- 0:45Speaker 3: than I thought she would because she has to be
- 0:47Speaker 3: in there because she can't sleep with us on the
- 0:49Speaker 3: bed anymore. And I was worried she'd be crying a
- 0:52Speaker 3: lot through the night, like hey, why am I in
- 0:54Speaker 3: here and not up there? But thankfully she's not, and
- 0:57Speaker 3: she could still see us through the crate. So that's
- 1:00Speaker 3: a little thing. But it's a big thing because it
- 1:02Speaker 3: doesn't break my heart, and that's why I'm feeling good.
- 1:05Speaker 2: Crates are like you know, dogs are very like pack
- 1:09Speaker 2: type animal things, and crates are their safe space if
- 1:13Speaker 2: you've done it right. And you know, so, I think
- 1:15Speaker 2: that there's probably not going to be a problem. I mean,
- 1:17Speaker 2: of course, the bed's a little more comfy, but you know, she.
- 1:20Speaker 3: Likes to be up against a human though.
- 1:21Speaker 2: But yes, that's very true.
- 1:24Speaker 3: I just don't want her to think of it as
- 1:26Speaker 3: dog jails, so that's all. But yeah, why are you
- 1:28Speaker 3: feeling good?
- 1:28Speaker 2: I'm feeling great because my significant other is back after
- 1:31Speaker 2: a month of travel. The dogs were over to your
- 1:35Speaker 2: point about the dogs, they just know how to tell
- 1:38Speaker 2: you when they want your attention, whether it's a physical
- 1:42Speaker 2: nuzzle of the you know, nose to your hands so
- 1:45Speaker 2: you'll pet them, or or maybe they just climb all
- 1:48Speaker 2: over you. There's just something about that unconditional love.
- 1:51Speaker 3: When is your significant other traveling again? This is a
- 1:54Speaker 3: good break.
- 1:54Speaker 4: For a while.
- 1:55Speaker 2: We don't know, I forget exactly when she told.
- 1:58Speaker 3: Me, but the time being, you guys can hang again.
- 2:02Speaker 2: Yeah, that's right, because it's been a month. It's been
- 2:04Speaker 2: a long time. Coming. Why are you feeling good today?

- 2:29Speaker 5: Top stories, Top of the Hour.
- 2:31Speaker 3: South Carolina's governor has appointed Lindsey Graham's sister, Darlene Graham nordone,

- 2:42Speaker 3: an aortic dissection. A Mississippi man has been charged after
- 2:46Speaker 3: police say he drove to a US Capital security checkpoint
- 2:49Speaker 3: with a gun on his lap yesterday, but though he says,

- 3:07Speaker 3: appears to have been a domestic incident involving a husband
- 3:10Speaker 3: and wife. Frustration over proposed data centers is reshaping Maryland politics.
- 3:17Speaker 3: Voters in Frederick and Calvert Counties ousted several local officials
- 3:22Speaker 3: who supported data center projects amid concerns about energy use,

- 4:34Speaker 3: This is where we pause, find a quote and share
- 4:36Speaker 3: it with you to think about the rest of the day.
- 4:39Speaker 2: Now, when something is important enough, you do it even
- 4:42Speaker 2: if the odds are not in your favor. Elon Musk
- 4:45Speaker 2: said that I know that man can be very polarizing
- 4:48Speaker 2: with his opinions, but there's something to that. When something
- 4:51Speaker 2: is important enough, you do it even if the odds
- 4:55Speaker 2: are not in your favor. So maybe you'll fail. Okay,
- 4:58Speaker 2: that's fine, but maybe, just maybe, because it's important enough,
- 5:03Speaker 2: you'll find success in whatever you were supposed to do,
- 5:06Speaker 2: even if it defies the odds. And that's how you
- 5:09Speaker 2: become legendary. Think about it now, think about how that
- 5:14Speaker 2: applies to your day today. What will you do even
- 5:17Speaker 2: if the odds are not in your favor. You've got it.
- 5:21Speaker 2: Get into today and make it yours or Toby and

- 6:02Speaker 3: you to do the same, and we love it when
- 6:04Speaker 3: you answer our call to action.
- 6:06Speaker 2: All right, then, Megan and Warrington, what you got Why
- 6:09Speaker 2: are you feeling good this morning?
- 6:10Speaker 5: I got called back from.
- 6:11Speaker 3: A job interview that I did, and I'm feeling really
- 6:15Speaker 3: good about it. I'm feeling confident. I know that this
- 6:18Speaker 3: company doesn't really call people back unless they're serious, and
- 6:22Speaker 3: I think they're calling me back to talk salary. So
- 6:25Speaker 3: I'm really excited. You should be. That is awesome. We
- 6:29Speaker 3: wish you the best of luck and hopefully it lives
- 6:30Speaker 3: up to your expectation.
- 6:32Speaker 2: Right and then you can run all the way to
- 6:33Speaker 2: the bank and go Chuching. Good for you.
- 6:36Speaker 3: Thank you so much.
- 6:37Speaker 2: You're welcome and thank you for jumping in this morning, Megan. Now, Manny,
- 6:41Speaker 2: hello there, how are things in Silver's spring this morning?
- 6:45Speaker 6: I'm finally completely unpacked. I'm moved to my loose spot.
- 6:51Speaker 6: Everything is in this proper place. It's took me weeks,
- 6:54Speaker 6: but I finally got it. Be smolled. I got it done.
- 6:57Speaker 6: So the only thing you love to do is take
- 6:59Speaker 6: these and throw them away. That's my little victory.
- 7:03Speaker 3: Actually, that sounds like a big victory. Now the challenge
- 7:06Speaker 3: is to keep everything in its place.
- 7:09Speaker 2: But it is a big victory.

- 9:55Speaker 3: at a security barricade. Capital police say that the incident
- 9:59Speaker 3: ended without injury. Neighbors near Georgetown University may hear loud

- 11:07Speaker 2: two seven forty three sixty one. When it comes to
- 11:10Speaker 2: working out what is it that motivates you. A new
- 11:15Speaker 2: study out with some interesting findings. We'll run those down
- 11:18Speaker 2: with you. Then we of course want to hear what
- 11:19Speaker 2: it is that you do to push yourself forward when
- 11:23Speaker 2: it comes to the workout that you need to get
- 11:26Speaker 2: in or that you're probably about to get in this morning,
- 11:29Speaker 2: we'll discuss stay right there. Want to motivate yourself to
- 11:33Speaker 2: work harder while you're working out, working on your fitness,
- 11:37Speaker 2: It's ninety seven point one wash FM Toby and chilly
- 11:39Speaker 2: in the morning. Then huff some chocolate, dark chocolate specifically
- 11:44Speaker 2: according to research.
- 11:45Speaker 3: Yeah, so apparently if you sniff dark chocolate before and
- 11:48Speaker 3: during your workout, you can crank out eighteen more reps
- 11:53Speaker 3: as you're lifting without feeling like you're working any harder.
- 11:56Speaker 2: I don't know that I buy that.
- 11:58Speaker 3: Well, I mean you have tried it, have you?
- 12:01Speaker 7: No?
- 12:01Speaker 4: Not?
- 12:01Speaker 2: But I mean, well, you know what, I have worked
- 12:04Speaker 2: out at Hershey where they pumped the smell of chocolate
- 12:06Speaker 2: through the building. Well, but you know.
- 12:09Speaker 3: It's not the same as doing weight training, Toby, Okay,
- 12:12Speaker 3: I'm at theme park is not no.
- 12:14Speaker 2: No, no. I mean I've worked out at the hotel
- 12:17Speaker 2: her She and their fitness center where they pump chocolate
- 12:20Speaker 2: through the air and it's and it just didn't really
- 12:23Speaker 2: do that much for me. But you know what, if
- 12:25Speaker 2: they've got research, who am I to argue science.
- 12:28Speaker 3: And sniffing milk chocolate. By the way, it's about nine reps.
- 12:31Speaker 3: I don't know what motivates you to work any harder.
- 12:33Speaker 3: Clearly it's not chocolate. What motivates you. What motivates me
- 12:38Speaker 3: is the fact that my clothes stop fitting. So there
- 12:40Speaker 3: you go, and once my clothes feel a certain way
- 12:43Speaker 3: on my body, then I got to get to it easy.
- 12:46Speaker 2: Is that I was motivated big time last week when
- 12:49Speaker 2: I walked into my closet and had to like get
- 12:50Speaker 2: some dress clothes for something on Thursday and Tuesday night
- 12:53Speaker 2: and then again on a Wednesday. I was like, this
- 12:55Speaker 2: is not okay, And that is all the motivation I need.
- 12:58Speaker 2: Walk into the closet, look around, realize it's not okay,
- 13:02Speaker 2: do something about it. And that's about the furthest thing
- 13:05Speaker 2: from the scent of dark chocolate I can think of.
- 13:08Speaker 2: What is it that motivates you? Eight six six ninety two,
- 13:10Speaker 2: seven forty three sixty one is the number if you're

- 13:17Speaker 2: it is that motivates you. Do you have a go
- 13:20Speaker 2: to a pro tip, something you learned from a trainer
- 13:22Speaker 2: once upon a time. Tell us all of the things
- 13:25Speaker 2: so we can take what you've shared and apply it
- 13:28Speaker 2: to our workouts that we need to get to. This week,
- 13:30Speaker 2: it's ninety seven point one wash FM, Toby and Chili
- 13:33Speaker 2: in the Morning. We're talking hang out shop the red

- 13:45Speaker 2: Toby and Chili in the Morning, and we're talking about
- 13:47Speaker 2: how you motivate yourself to work out. Do you huff
- 13:51Speaker 2: some dark chocolate?
- 13:52Speaker 3: Well, apparently huffing that dark chocolate does help you increase
- 13:57Speaker 3: eighteen reps on average when you're lifting waits without making
- 14:01Speaker 3: it feel like you're working harder.
- 14:03Speaker 2: That is insane to me. But you know what, if
- 14:06Speaker 2: it works, there'll be a lot of dark chocolate in
- 14:09Speaker 2: my future. I'm just saying no, I won't be eating it.
- 14:13Speaker 2: Leslie and Shirlington. How do you motivate yourself to work out?
- 14:16Speaker 2: This morning?

- 14:20Speaker 4: If I get the workout done, then I can order
- 14:23Speaker 4: take out and binge.
- 14:24Speaker 5: My favorite shell, grab a coffee. It sounds ridiculous, but
- 14:27Speaker 5: it works.
- 14:28Speaker 3: Well, that's all that matters.

- 14:46Speaker 7: Seriously, I've been working out for about six months and
- 14:49Speaker 7: I've noticed a real change and I've definitely lost some weight.
- 14:52Speaker 3: That is true. When you start to see all your
