- 0:35Speaker 3: We're so excited to have you on. We're looking beautiful.
- 0:38Speaker 3: Oh my god, it's our place.
- 0:39Speaker 4: Hate when people are just too beautiful.
- 0:42Speaker 2: Get out out the Filippines isn't gonna flock.
- 0:45Speaker 1: We've actually been getting some d ms being like yes,
- 0:48Speaker 1: like the Philippino.
- 0:48Speaker 3: Pride, and I'm like, oh my god, I'm so excited.
- 0:51Speaker 1: What's your life lesson of the week. That's what we
- 0:54Speaker 1: always start.
- 0:56Speaker 2: Yeah, I guess I really thought about this about it
- 0:59Speaker 2: this morning, and I was like, guys, just fucking do it.
- 1:03Speaker 2: Like sometimes the most mundane small tasks, like we make
- 1:08Speaker 2: it so hard and impossible.
- 1:10Speaker 4: To do in our head.
- 1:14Speaker 2: Very much so, and like the more you procrastinate, the
- 1:17Speaker 2: mold it, the more it builds up in your head,
- 1:19Speaker 2: Like it could literally be just washing my makeup brushes.
- 1:22Speaker 2: But then I put it off for a month and
- 1:24Speaker 2: then I'm like, if I really think about it, bitch,
- 1:26Speaker 2: it's gonna take me thirty minutes to do, not even
- 1:29Speaker 2: ten minutes to wash like a brush. But then I
- 1:31Speaker 2: build it up so much in my head that it
- 1:34Speaker 2: never gets done or like taxes. Oh my god, when.
- 1:38Speaker 4: Was the last time you wash your makeup brushes?
- 1:40Speaker 2: Oh? Like actually last week? But because I am a
- 1:43Speaker 2: makeup artist, I have like I can guarantee you three
- 1:46Speaker 2: months worth of like makeup brushes. So every time girl,
- 1:49Speaker 2: like my makeup brushes get dirty, I just grab a
- 1:52Speaker 2: new one. Yeah, put that shit on the side every
- 1:55Speaker 2: three months.
- 1:57Speaker 4: When did you last wash your makeup brushes?
- 2:00Speaker 3: Not last week? I think maybe like three weeks ago.
- 2:04Speaker 2: Yeah wow, that's healthy ish.
- 2:06Speaker 3: Yeah my life.
- 2:07Speaker 5: Lesson of the week, because I'm not answering it is.
- 2:12Speaker 5: Everyone in Sydney needs to go to the new Saver's
- 2:16Speaker 5: store on Oxford Street in Darlinghurst, sal And I got
- 2:21Speaker 5: to go like early, like a cute little media event.
- 2:23Speaker 4: I was like, this is why we do this job.
- 2:25Speaker 3: Yeah, this is why we do this job.
- 2:27Speaker 1: And I got a genuine with the authenticity card and
- 2:32Speaker 1: serial number Gucci bag for not one.
- 2:36Speaker 5: Thousand dollars, not five hundred dollars, four fifty four dollars.
- 2:40Speaker 5: I also got a one hundred percent leather blazer for
- 2:44Speaker 5: thirty dollars, a Sway jacket thirty dollars, a Harley Davidson belt,
- 2:48Speaker 5: can't remember, but it was pretty cheap. Rayvan sunglasses thirty dollars,
- 2:52Speaker 5: and a Georgio Rmney gold watch.
- 2:54Speaker 4: For fifteen dollars.
- 2:55Speaker 3: Yeah. They have amazing shit there.
- 2:58Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 2:58Speaker 3: Yeah, So that's my life lesson.
- 3:01Speaker 5: Go fucking thrifting this week, because the thrift stores are
- 3:04Speaker 5: thrifting at Savers not spawn.
- 3:06Speaker 3: The TikTok is spawn. This placement isn't spawn.
- 3:09Speaker 1: My life lesson is I've started doing my Christmas shopping.
- 3:13Speaker 1: My tip is I've been shopping a lot on eBay,
- 3:16Speaker 1: and it's to mark things as your wish list items,
- 3:20Speaker 1: because every single time I've done that, I've gotten at
- 3:23Speaker 1: least a fifteen percent discount from the seller every single
- 3:28Speaker 1: time I mark it as a wishless side.
- 3:29Speaker 2: I thought like the wish list was just like a
- 3:31Speaker 2: little list that you could put on so you don't forget.
- 3:33Speaker 5: Yeah, track it, sellers will see if you save it.
- 3:38Speaker 5: They do that on de pop too. Yeah, so sellers
- 3:41Speaker 5: will like give you a little discount to try and
- 3:43Speaker 5: get you over the line.
- 3:45Speaker 1: Yeah, I love so even when I know that I'm
- 3:47Speaker 1: going to buy it anyway, I just put it as
- 3:50Speaker 1: my wish list And I.
- 3:51Speaker 2: Wait, do they sell houses on eBay?
- 3:56Speaker 1: Let's get into the episode, domb We've got you on
- 4:04Speaker 1: to talk all things makeup and beauty because obviously look
- 4:07Speaker 1: at you, but can you give us a little bit
- 4:10Speaker 1: of a rundown, Like what's your history with beauty and makeup?
- 4:13Speaker 3: How did you get started?
- 4:14Speaker 2: Oh my gosh, I was a full blown makeup boy
- 4:17Speaker 2: ever since I was one of the Philippines. And my
- 4:20Speaker 2: mom's cousin, my cousins, my cousin's cousins, everyone around me
- 4:24Speaker 2: who was like male was like gay or trance, and
- 4:29Speaker 2: they wore makeup and they participated in a lot of
- 4:32Speaker 2: pageantry and like my mom would take me to these
- 4:35Speaker 2: like like gay pageants to like just like watch and
- 4:39Speaker 2: like it was my cousin's performing and I'm like girl,
- 4:40Speaker 2: men and makeup, locked and loaded. I don't even care,
- 4:43Speaker 2: like no stigma. As soon as I was a kid,
- 4:46Speaker 2: so like when I.
- 4:46Speaker 4: Moved so fun, Yeah, it.
- 4:49Speaker 2: Was like, and I feel like I'm very privileged in
- 4:51Speaker 2: that sense to have like queerness be so like celebrated,
- 4:55Speaker 2: and I feel like a lot of people didn't get
- 4:56Speaker 2: that access.
- 4:57Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 4:58Speaker 2: So when I moved to a strain, I was either
- 5:01Speaker 2: going to become a pastry chef or a nurse. And
- 5:03Speaker 2: I'm like, I don't like blood and you know desserts.
- 5:08Speaker 4: Are you bake?
- 5:10Speaker 2: Yeah? I can bake.
- 5:11Speaker 3: What's your favorite thing to bake?
- 5:13Speaker 2: It's this Filipino dish called lechafly. It's like a version
- 5:17Speaker 2: of a crem caramel, but it's so much richer, so
- 5:19Speaker 2: much densers. I'm salivating. It's just like not too sweet
- 5:24Speaker 2: and just like a burnt caramely taste thrifting.
- 5:26Speaker 5: And then we can, yes, like you bake and then
- 5:30Speaker 5: bring me the snack and then we go through.
- 5:32Speaker 2: Yeah. And when I moved to Australia, like I found like,
- 5:36Speaker 2: you know, I had access to Instagram and like a
- 5:39Speaker 2: lot of the beauty people that were starting out back
- 5:41Speaker 2: then were very much like from the US, like Patrick
- 5:45Speaker 2: Starbredman Rock, like you know, all of those girly girls.
- 5:48Speaker 2: And I was like, girl, if I can do it,
- 5:49Speaker 2: if they can do it, I can do it too,
- 5:51Speaker 2: and they're already like you know, dominating like the US market.
- 5:54Speaker 2: No one's doing in Australia. And I was looking a
- 5:57Speaker 2: little bit like I was like, oh my gosh, I'm
- 5:59Speaker 2: s so good at make girl. I was a boog girl,
- 6:01Speaker 2: Like you know what I.
- 6:02Speaker 3: Mean, that's so not true.
- 6:06Speaker 2: I stroll back like my eyeliner was in the shape
- 6:08Speaker 2: of a ladle.
- 6:09Speaker 5: It looks like mindsecking does matter, like what your turn, inspect,
- 6:16Speaker 5: your elders, hate period. I really love that you had
- 6:20Speaker 5: such an incredible space and accepting space growing up. What's
- 6:24Speaker 5: it been like though being such a personality online and
- 6:27Speaker 5: how do you kind of keep that confidence?
- 6:29Speaker 2: Yeah? I think like I only ever see it when
- 6:32Speaker 2: like my videos like go outside of my demographic when
- 6:36Speaker 2: like the algorithm, like except the fu no no bring.
- 6:39Speaker 2: I think, like with there any other job, like in
- 6:41Speaker 2: any industry, there's like some things that like are just
- 6:44Speaker 2: it's fun to say that it's normal, but for me
- 6:46Speaker 2: is I'm so just sensitized to it. But like I
- 6:49Speaker 2: think I'm not more worried about me and like my
- 6:51Speaker 2: well being because I can deal with it. But it's
- 6:53Speaker 2: more so like younger people who like see themselves in
- 6:56Speaker 2: me and if they if they want to do something
- 6:58Speaker 2: like what I do, and they see all these comments,
- 7:00Speaker 2: try to invalidate me, like they're going to put myself
- 7:03Speaker 2: in their position. Yeah, and it's like, I that's the
- 7:07Speaker 2: one thing I want to prevent. So like the way
- 7:09Speaker 2: to mitigate that is like I just kind of like
- 7:11Speaker 2: either block them or like have like filtered words. Yeah,
- 7:15Speaker 2: so for like my followers so they don't see it,
- 7:17Speaker 2: you know. Yeah, I love that.
- 7:19Speaker 4: I think that's such a great way to look at it.
- 7:21Speaker 1: And I really like that you don't take it and
- 7:24Speaker 1: wear it because it's not for you to take away,
- 7:27Speaker 1: like it's someone's own, right.
- 7:29Speaker 2: Like sad, It's a projection at the end of the day,
- 7:32Speaker 2: whether it's positive or negative likes so true. Everything else
- 7:36Speaker 2: is a production projection from within.
- 7:37Speaker 1: So we asked you chicks to send in your makeup
- 7:41Speaker 1: and beauty questions.
- 7:42Speaker 3: So let's start with the basics.
- 7:45Speaker 1: A lot of people were asking for like an absolute beginner,
- 7:49Speaker 1: what is your go to step by step makeup process?
- 7:53Speaker 3: Like Makeup for Dummies was a literal question. People sent it.
- 7:57Speaker 2: Look, this is really hard for me because I love
- 7:58Speaker 2: to pile that shit on you know, borderline drag clean material,
- 8:02Speaker 2: but we love. If I was to condense it down,
- 8:05Speaker 2: maybe five steps, Okay, not discounting skincare and SPF because
- 8:08Speaker 2: feel like that should always be a constant, of.
- 8:09Speaker 5: Course, because that's like the most I feel like that's
- 8:13Speaker 5: the thing that I'm seeing all the time now that
- 8:16Speaker 5: the biggest taple thing that people saying, it's the.
- 8:18Speaker 2: Skin prep, skin prep and SPF.
- 8:20Speaker 3: What's your skin prep before we get into my cup?
- 8:22Speaker 2: Oh, it's a lot of it's a lot of things.
- 8:26Speaker 2: I used to believe in simplicity, but now I don't
- 8:32Speaker 2: because the skin looks great, like if it works, don't
- 8:34Speaker 2: fix it?
- 8:34Speaker 3: Yeah, glowing.
- 8:35Speaker 2: No, I've been using a lot of Korean skincare. I
- 8:38Speaker 2: think TikTok really made me realize that. Like I also
- 8:41Speaker 2: thought about it, like, oh, I want to use Asian
- 8:43Speaker 2: skincare that was made by Asians, you know on my
- 8:47Speaker 2: Asian skin, like like the math is mathing a lot
- 8:52Speaker 2: of Asians care. Like I layer my skin care from
- 8:54Speaker 2: like thinness to like thickest, and I focus a lot
- 8:57Speaker 2: on hydration instead of actives because I have sensitive skin,
- 9:01Speaker 2: like doctor Jart love love blah blah, blah blah blah
- 9:05Speaker 2: tordent beauty of Josin. So all of these are Korean brands.
- 9:09Speaker 3: Where do you buy them from?
- 9:11Speaker 2: Either on yt style online or there's have you seen
- 9:14Speaker 2: like so many Korean skincare storts something poppingup around Sydney?
- 9:19Speaker 2: Oh my god?
- 9:20Speaker 3: Yeah and stuff.
- 9:21Speaker 2: Yeah, like all of that, like in his frees are
- 9:23Speaker 2: really good brand. I say, for like, if it's like
- 9:26Speaker 2: one on one make up for dummies, find just like
- 9:28Speaker 2: a good skin tint or like a foundation that's buildable.
- 9:32Speaker 2: I would say, fucking sealer, Like honestly, it's all just marketing.
- 9:35Speaker 2: It's a thicker foundation, Like I'm not even wearing consaler
- 9:39Speaker 2: Nabach and where my bag's gone. Like I think, find
- 9:44Speaker 2: like a foundation that is buildable because you can always
- 9:46Speaker 2: do like a lightwash of like foundations even at the skin,
- 9:50Speaker 2: and then build the coverage from there, you know, So
- 9:52Speaker 2: there's like beginner beginner and like also like in terms
- 9:55Speaker 2: of like accessibility when it comes to like you know,
- 9:57Speaker 2: makeup is expensive, like you don't want to be fucking
- 9:59Speaker 2: buying like you know, I foundation and a concealer like
- 10:01Speaker 2: you know, yeah, period, and then I think like a
- 10:07Speaker 2: good brow gel like a good stunning brow jel. And
- 10:10Speaker 2: it's not like a good brawjel is not exclusive to
- 10:12Speaker 2: like you know, like prestige brands like that are found
- 10:15Speaker 2: as a foreign mecca like drug store like Mabeling Nicks.
- 10:19Speaker 2: You know, australis the whole shebang because I low key
- 10:23Speaker 2: like my eye twitches when like people like do they
- 10:26Speaker 2: pay attention to like every part of their face apart
- 10:29Speaker 2: from their brows, and it's all like dusty from the powder,
- 10:32Speaker 2: Like you'll just brush it up, brush it up, brow jel,
- 10:34Speaker 2: and it like makes such a big difference. It's all
- 10:37Speaker 2: about like harmony to me, like a bit of attention
- 10:40Speaker 2: to your skin, your brows and then like a good
- 10:43Speaker 2: like mascara and lash curlaw.
- 10:47Speaker 4: Do you have a lash lift because your lash.
- 10:50Speaker 2: This is what I was I was like just thinking
- 10:51Speaker 2: about this this morning. It's like sometimes you don't have
- 10:53Speaker 2: a bad mascar you just have a bad like lash curler.
- 10:56Speaker 4: WHOA what lash curlogy?
- 10:58Speaker 2: It's the shaido one, okay, I think, because like no,
- 11:01Speaker 2: there's like lash tilers that are food for different eye shapes,
- 11:03Speaker 2: like for a lot of Asian eyelids, like our eyes
- 11:06Speaker 2: are a bit more flat and like a lot of
- 11:07Speaker 2: European like eyes are like work curve, So just finding
- 11:10Speaker 2: the right like lash color for you like Mikes your
- 11:14Speaker 2: mascara like work more if that really yes? And in
- 11:18Speaker 2: terms of mascara, I'm so over like the waterproof based
- 11:20Speaker 2: like the long wearing. I love me a good like
- 11:23Speaker 2: tubular messcara because at the end of the day, wipe
- 11:25Speaker 2: that shit off boom gone, no, like panda eyes, like
- 11:29Speaker 2: you know what I mean. And then for lips, I
- 11:31Speaker 2: think I just do like like a lip tint and
- 11:34Speaker 2: then like your favorite lap bum, you know, or a
- 11:36Speaker 2: tinted lop bum summer fridays like butter bombs. Oh my gosh,
- 11:40Speaker 2: they're kind of expensive, but girl, that is a splurge
- 11:43Speaker 2: and a half that is so worth it.
- 11:45Speaker 3: They last forever though, forever. Okay.
- 11:48Speaker 1: So I love that we're all about like enhancing your
- 11:51Speaker 1: natural features and kind of keeping it to the basics.
- 11:55Speaker 1: But another frequent question we got was how to make
- 11:57Speaker 1: your makeup last all day, especially as we're going into
- 12:01Speaker 1: the warmer months and we're about to get sweaty up
- 12:03Speaker 1: from this bitch.
- 12:04Speaker 2: I think people are scared to use powder nowadays, ever
- 12:07Speaker 2: since like the whole you know, through the pandemic, like
- 12:10Speaker 2: skin care movement, the whole shebang, Like, oh my gosh,
- 12:13Speaker 2: everything's about skin now, like dewey skin. People don't use
- 12:15Speaker 2: powder right right, Cuff me sis jail. Yeah. I think
- 12:23Speaker 2: like in order for your makeup to last long, obviously,
- 12:26Speaker 2: like you need to have makeup on for the powder
- 12:29Speaker 2: to clean onto. Powder doesn't really clean on skin that well.
- 12:32Speaker 2: It's gonna slip and slide, you know what I mean.
- 12:34Speaker 2: So like for all the clean girls out there, maybe
- 12:36Speaker 2: just add a bit more makeup on at the packet
- 12:39Speaker 2: with powder, because if you still want to get the
- 12:42Speaker 2: dowey look, you're gonna get dewey, you know what I mean.
- 12:45Speaker 2: Throughout the day, You're gonna get to that point. But
- 12:47Speaker 2: because like you already have powder on, you can just
- 12:50Speaker 2: touch up throughout the day. Yeah, and like modify where
- 12:53Speaker 2: you want to modify. And in terms of like like
- 12:56Speaker 2: a more like topical like fixing, Like I feel like
- 13:00Speaker 2: people get like, you know, a hydrating miss and a
- 13:03Speaker 2: setting spray. Confused.
- 13:05Speaker 1: I was gonna say, what's the difference between a setting
- 13:07Speaker 1: spray and a fixing miss.
- 13:10Speaker 2: So there's like there's like those like hydrating sprace. So
- 13:13Speaker 2: mac fixed plus is not a setting spray. It's more
- 13:16Speaker 2: to like, for example, if you have foundation that's like
- 13:19Speaker 2: wet and you cement it down with the powder. It's
- 13:21Speaker 2: kind of like Matt right. So the way like max
- 13:24Speaker 2: fixed plus works, or the way I like to use
- 13:26Speaker 2: it is to like marry the powder and the creams
- 13:29Speaker 2: together so it looks like skin.
- 13:30Speaker 5: It like melt all the're not like just sitting on
- 13:33Speaker 5: top of itach other.
- 13:34Speaker 2: Yeah, and it like seeps into your skin. It just
- 13:36Speaker 2: looks nice and like plump piano. Whereas like actual setting
- 13:41Speaker 2: fixing sprays like the one Size until Dawn, like the
- 13:43Speaker 2: one in the the fucking Aerosol can, the cry aline one,
- 13:47Speaker 2: Charlotte Tillbury, Flowless, whatever it is. It just creates like
- 13:52Speaker 2: this like film, and it's a bit uncomfortable at first,
- 13:55Speaker 2: but you get used to it and it's like you're.
- 13:57Speaker 3: Making that bunch what is And I want to know
- 14:00Speaker 3: the tea? What is the number?
- 14:03Speaker 5: One? No bullshit will do until you will lower it
- 14:06Speaker 5: into the ground. Make up hack that you swear by.
- 14:09Speaker 2: Okay, I keep saying this one, but I know it's
- 14:12Speaker 2: like just like the best hack for me, and I know,
- 14:16Speaker 2: for a lot of people out there listening hello, um,
- 14:20Speaker 2: people always like talk shit about their brow gel not working.
- 14:26Speaker 2: But it's because they put their brow joel on after
- 14:29Speaker 2: they put skincare on their face. If you think about it,
- 14:33Speaker 2: like think of like a hairstrand. It's porous, right, it
- 14:36Speaker 2: has pores when you put product into it, Like the
- 14:39Speaker 2: products feels in the pores. And it's the same with
- 14:42Speaker 2: like your eyebrow hairs. Like if you you know, like
- 14:45Speaker 2: rub all your skincare on your face and then go
- 14:47Speaker 2: to do your brows, the brow gel molecules won't stick
- 14:51Speaker 2: to your eyebrows because it's already like there's already production. Yeah,
- 14:55Speaker 2: So if you want like that nice like brush up
- 14:57Speaker 2: look that won't move, you need to do your eyebrows
- 15:00Speaker 2: first before anything else and then you do like your
- 15:04Speaker 2: skincare around it, because then it's like bullet.
- 15:07Speaker 3: Fucking it wrong.
- 15:08Speaker 1: I feel like so many people do eyebrows as the
- 15:11Speaker 1: very last step, like even at the end of their makeup.
- 15:14Speaker 2: So if you want to do it at the very
- 15:15Speaker 2: last step and you want to get like the fullest
- 15:18Speaker 2: efficacy of your browjel, you know, just grab like a
- 15:20Speaker 2: little concept and like alcohol rubbing alcohol and just like
- 15:24Speaker 2: kind of or like a makeup wipe and clean your
- 15:26Speaker 2: eyebrows because there's so much gunk on it, like so
- 15:28Speaker 2: much makeup that you put already, or like skincare and
- 15:30Speaker 2: setting spree.
- 15:31Speaker 5: I thought I was ahead of the fucking game doing
- 15:32Speaker 5: it before my makeup Sam, what has been your favorite
- 15:36Speaker 5: makeup look that you've ever done?
- 15:40Speaker 2: Oh my gosh, this is from like when I first
- 15:43Speaker 2: first started. It's like when I like painted my whole
- 15:46Speaker 2: body white. Basically this makeup look was like in Halloween
- 15:49Speaker 2: and then like painted like my neck white, and then
- 15:51Speaker 2: like I like cut out a piece of paper to
- 15:53Speaker 2: look like an angel wing, which it's so cunty. I
- 15:56Speaker 2: love it so much.
- 15:58Speaker 3: Right, Well, yeah, stunning.
- 16:02Speaker 4: Oh my god.
- 16:03Speaker 3: How long did that take?
- 16:04Speaker 2: Oh like just the humble six hours.
- 16:06Speaker 3: But you know what you can tell it's so beautiful.
- 16:10Speaker 5: Well, let's get into what we need in our beauty bags.
- 16:13Speaker 5: You've spoken about like our skin prep and skin tints.
- 16:17Speaker 3: But what's the go to foundation or skin tint.
- 16:21Speaker 2: Oh my gosh, I'm gonnave guess value. I'll give you
- 16:25Speaker 2: a foundation and a skin tint. Girl. The best foundation
- 16:30Speaker 2: for me myself and I is the light reflecting foundation
- 16:33Speaker 2: from Nars. If you want the skin douness fantasy of
- 16:37Speaker 2: your life looking like you know, Gigi headed on the
- 16:40Speaker 2: Victorias Secret.
- 16:40Speaker 3: Runner, Okay, like very much fat.
- 16:43Speaker 2: It's like so like skin like, and I think Nars
- 16:47Speaker 2: is one of those brands that just nails undertones, they
- 16:50Speaker 2: nail color. And my belief with makeup is is like
- 16:54Speaker 2: I look for foundations that like are the closest shade
- 16:58Speaker 2: to me, because you can always manipulate formula. If it's
- 17:01Speaker 2: too mad, you can make it dewey. If it's too dowey,
- 17:03Speaker 2: you can modify it. But color is very hard to
- 17:05Speaker 2: nail for people who haven't studied color theory and like
- 17:09Speaker 2: you just have like you know, like basic knowledge about color.
- 17:12Speaker 2: So like Nars really does it for me, and it's
- 17:14Speaker 2: very very very good. Like they've nailed it.
- 17:17Speaker 4: With then Nars light reflecting and skin tint.
- 17:19Speaker 2: Oh my gosh, I'm using it today. It's the Eavesdrop
- 17:22Speaker 2: skin tint from Fency Beauty. It's so weird because like
- 17:25Speaker 2: it's low key, like a Demi Matte finish, but it's
- 17:28Speaker 2: like so nice if photographs so nice, but you can
- 17:30Speaker 2: build it up like to like a medium coverage, so
- 17:33Speaker 2: it's like super super versatile. And I was gonna clear
- 17:38Speaker 2: like a drugstot option, but these two is like it's
- 17:40Speaker 2: honestly worth splurch Like, oh my god.
- 17:43Speaker 3: You can also go and get testers.
- 17:45Speaker 2: Yeah, truly, that's the thing.
- 17:47Speaker 5: As soon as you said that one, I was like,
- 17:48Speaker 5: I'm okay, I'm going a test today.
- 17:50Speaker 1: Getting a tester is such a good idea because the
- 17:52Speaker 1: right foundation really does also depend on your skin tie
- 17:55Speaker 1: yeah as well and the sort of finish that you want.
- 17:58Speaker 1: So and it can be a bit of a spil,
- 18:00Speaker 1: but I do believe in splurting on a foundation because
- 18:03Speaker 1: that is like the base of your makeup. They're getting
- 18:05Speaker 1: a tester is a good way to figure out, well,
- 18:08Speaker 1: is it actually worth it for me.
- 18:09Speaker 2: I'm also a tip if you have a foundation that
- 18:11Speaker 2: you really, really really love, but you're going on vacation
- 18:14Speaker 2: and you know you're gonna change colors that you're gonna turn,
- 18:16Speaker 2: get a tester for a darker foundation of the same.
- 18:19Speaker 6: And it's just even the like getting the minis or
- 18:21Speaker 6: the holiday kits for all the mini sizes and taking
- 18:26Speaker 6: that on holidays so that you don't have this giant
- 18:28Speaker 6: toilet trees bag that takes up like half your suitcase
- 18:31Speaker 6: and also weighs it down.
- 18:34Speaker 5: My favorite question, lip combo. What is the ultimate lip combo?
- 18:39Speaker 2: I love because I use like pretty dark shades because
- 18:41Speaker 2: I am pretty tan. But I love like any macliplane
- 18:45Speaker 2: and like the old g girl, like you know, Mac
- 18:48Speaker 2: fucking ran so we could walk or the other way
- 18:51Speaker 2: around and everybody's trying.
- 18:55Speaker 3: To catch up.
- 18:57Speaker 2: The planers are so freaking bombed, like I love them
- 19:00Speaker 2: so so much. Your favorite shade specific shade is oak.
- 19:05Speaker 2: It's more of like a warm brown color. And then
- 19:09Speaker 2: for like the middle I love, oh my gosh, than
- 19:12Speaker 2: you maybe lean teddy tints.
- 19:14Speaker 5: I'm wearing that right.
- 19:17Speaker 4: Right because I was testing it.
- 19:19Speaker 2: Do you like it?
- 19:20Speaker 5: Yeah? When I put it on, I was like, whoa,
- 19:23Speaker 5: this is like super like moose.
- 19:26Speaker 2: See, Like it's like it blurs your like lips, but
- 19:29Speaker 2: it's like it's so bigginner friendly because it starts out
- 19:32Speaker 2: sheer and you can always build up the color. Oh
- 19:34Speaker 2: my god, I believe that.
- 19:35Speaker 3: Yeah, I'm literally wearing around what you remember?
- 19:38Speaker 2: No, keep it Cozy is like so so young.
- 19:42Speaker 5: It was kind of like the I always like like
- 19:44Speaker 5: a brick.
- 19:47Speaker 3: Yes, it might be that one. All right, save us.
- 19:50Speaker 5: So we're going to give you a product category and
- 19:53Speaker 5: you have to say whether you think it's a save,
- 19:56Speaker 5: like you go for the.
- 19:57Speaker 3: More affordable options.
- 19:59Speaker 5: I like this game product, and you can give us
- 20:02Speaker 5: a wreck if something pops into your mind as well.
- 20:05Speaker 3: Save or splurge.
- 20:06Speaker 2: Primer, girl, Save, Save every single bit of your coin
- 20:10Speaker 2: because skincare is that is your primer. Sometimes you don't
- 20:13Speaker 2: even need like you know, like I'm madifying primer, Like
- 20:16Speaker 2: you just need powder.
- 20:17Speaker 5: Save, Okay, Foundation splurge.
- 20:22Speaker 2: Yeah, if it's anything you want to splurge on, is
- 20:25Speaker 2: your foundation the best one. People might get triggered by this,
- 20:30Speaker 2: but I love it so much. It's the house slabs
- 20:32Speaker 2: triclone skin Tech Foundation. Girl, there is nothing like it.
- 20:36Speaker 2: Lady Gaga was in that factory putting crack in it,
- 20:39Speaker 2: putting fucking cement like.
- 20:42Speaker 3: She said, black magic. Yeah, I feel like I know
- 20:45Speaker 3: the answer to this.
- 20:46Speaker 2: But kinsealer, oh save, Just like there's so many like
- 20:52Speaker 2: amazing formulas in the drug store for concealers, like maybe
- 20:56Speaker 2: really like ticks the box from me, the one with
- 20:58Speaker 2: the sponge on the Yeah, that one's really gonna hit me.
- 21:00Speaker 2: Nix has like these new like pro fixed sticks and
- 21:03Speaker 2: it's like a stick concealer bomb like Rioma London Revlon
- 21:11Speaker 2: Slave formulations. I love it. Okay Bronza, Oh my gosh,
- 21:16Speaker 2: I'm really torn because I love my y Cel Hyperreal Bronzer,
- 21:21Speaker 2: but I also love my Mambulance City Bronzer. So I'm
- 21:24Speaker 2: gonna say save because it's like not that, like I thought.
- 21:27Speaker 3: You were better pass. I'm gonna use my phone a friend.
- 21:32Speaker 2: We can say, we can say on the Bronzer. Okay, Blush,
- 21:35Speaker 2: I love blush. I guess I'll spluedge on it.
- 21:39Speaker 3: That's okay.
- 21:40Speaker 2: So like a.
- 21:41Speaker 5: Blush pulls everything to so it's more about the shade.
- 21:44Speaker 2: It's more the shade the formulation. You can use blush
- 21:47Speaker 2: on your eyes, lips, and cheeks. My favorite blush is
- 21:50Speaker 2: any nude six blush.
- 21:51Speaker 5: Yes you loves.
- 21:54Speaker 2: Sun kissed cool bombas Fox.
- 21:56Speaker 3: What's the one I like? Pecante? I love It's like
- 22:00Speaker 3: cherry blossom or something.
- 22:01Speaker 1: It's a really baby pink one yea little pollypocket.
- 22:06Speaker 5: Do you prefer cream bronza and blushes or powder bronza
- 22:10Speaker 5: and blushes or both?
- 22:12Speaker 2: I do cream first and then powder on top to
- 22:14Speaker 2: lock in the collar. Always yeah, always, So like after
- 22:18Speaker 2: I do all my makeup, it's kind of weird, Like
- 22:20Speaker 2: people don't normally don't put like wet things on top
- 22:22Speaker 2: of like already set foundation, but I will put like
- 22:24Speaker 2: a liquid foundation on top of my already set face.
- 22:26Speaker 4: Doesn't it pick the foundation up? No?
- 22:29Speaker 2: It doesn't. It depends on how you apply it and
- 22:32Speaker 2: like what kind of formulation it is. Like if it's
- 22:34Speaker 2: too wet, it's gonna melt everything off, but if it's
- 22:36Speaker 2: like the stick and like you just like tap it,
- 22:38Speaker 2: like yeah a little bit.
- 22:40Speaker 4: Study save or splurge lipliner.
- 22:42Speaker 2: Oh my gosh, have you guys tried the new fancylip planers? No, babe,
- 22:48Speaker 2: I would spledge in those.
- 22:49Speaker 3: Have you seen them?
- 22:49Speaker 5: Stealer ones, which are like a lip tint. They're a
- 22:52Speaker 5: lip line of lip tints and apparently they don't budge,
- 22:55Speaker 5: So that's also on my list.
- 22:57Speaker 3: Okay, lipstick or.
- 22:58Speaker 2: Gloss, I'm more of like a gloss slip bomb girl,
- 23:01Speaker 2: because I feel like when I do my makeup, it's
- 23:03Speaker 2: very much focused on the eyes. So I don't want
- 23:05Speaker 2: like the attention from the eyes to go away. So
- 23:07Speaker 2: I just do a little bomb skin. Yeah, like Summer
- 23:11Speaker 2: Friday's Love Splurge eye shadow, oh girl, save, Yeah, Like
- 23:18Speaker 2: there are really good eye shadows out there, but how
- 23:21Speaker 2: good can an eye shadow.
- 23:22Speaker 4: Get, you know, if it does the job, because.
- 23:24Speaker 2: Sometimes you can just even use bronzer or yours all.
- 23:27Speaker 4: Yeah, let's be honest, though we're out here buying palettes.
- 23:30Speaker 3: It's got like fluo like green and sparkle purple.
- 23:34Speaker 5: I'm sure you're using them because you're a makeup artist,
- 23:36Speaker 5: but like, girl, you're gonna use the warm brown. Yeah,
- 23:42Speaker 5: just use your and then maybe get like one sparkly
- 23:45Speaker 5: just like the actual shadow, the single shadow.
- 23:48Speaker 2: And also, like a lot of makeup is like marketing,
- 23:50Speaker 2: like obviously like oh my gosh, Like a bronzer is
- 23:53Speaker 2: not just a bronzer guy, so you can use it
- 23:55Speaker 2: as an ice shadow, like you know what I mean.
- 23:56Speaker 2: Like sometimes I use like the maybe ling teddy tints
- 23:58Speaker 2: as a blush, like as long as it's like you know,
- 24:02Speaker 2: makeup is just like color at the end of the day,
- 24:04Speaker 2: just different formulation. You can use it everywhere in your face.
- 24:07Speaker 4: Save or splurge Mascar.
- 24:10Speaker 2: Maybe is like knocking on the door, like hey, guys,
- 24:12Speaker 2: we've got you covered. But also I love my high
- 24:14Speaker 2: end mascaras. You know what I could save. I could
- 24:17Speaker 2: save a mascara.
- 24:22Speaker 3: You've been so fucking fine.
- 24:24Speaker 1: Yeah. So we love to finish our episodes with our
- 24:28Speaker 1: guests with the same question, and it is, what is
- 24:31Speaker 1: your biggest life lesson on your journey so far?
- 24:34Speaker 2: I think, like, if it doesn't sit well with your spirit,
- 24:38Speaker 2: really consider it and maybe don't go through with it.
- 24:43Speaker 2: To my forehead, I think there's like a difference between
- 24:46Speaker 2: intuition and anxiety. But you know it's intuition because like
- 24:49Speaker 2: there's no it's not noisy in your head. There's no
- 24:53Speaker 2: like conflicting arguments, No one's shouting in your head. It's
- 24:57Speaker 2: like it's like a gut whatever you want want to
- 25:00Speaker 2: call it. You know, spirit, intuition, the universe. Really really
- 25:04Speaker 2: trust it because I think it's better to trust your gut,
- 25:08Speaker 2: slash your spirit than to like make a decision that
- 25:11Speaker 2: you were like regretting and you're like, I wish I
- 25:13Speaker 2: should have trusted myself. Yeah, and you don't want to
- 25:15Speaker 2: resent yourself at the end of the day.
- 25:18Speaker 3: I love that.
- 25:19Speaker 5: I love that we've been like silly goofy girls this
- 25:21Speaker 5: whole episode and ended on such a wholesome night.
- 25:24Speaker 3: What can't you do? That's so beautiful? Well, thank you.
- 25:28Speaker 1: So much for coming on the show.
