- 0:09Speaker 2: Cocktail. Please, can you rub some oil on my back?
- 0:15Speaker 2: Get the bullboard to do that.
- 0:16Speaker 1: So those are all orders for me to go and fulfill.
- 0:18Speaker 1: By the way, so I should jump off this mic
- 0:20Speaker 1: and go and look after the women. But we've got
- 0:22Speaker 1: an amazing lineup of guests and each week we talk
- 0:25Speaker 1: to a different guest. We're very excited people who you
- 0:28Speaker 1: will know from netball and they've come in and had
- 0:31Speaker 1: just some really fabulous fun chats with us. So this
- 0:33Speaker 1: is our summer series. We hope you enjoy it.
- 0:35Speaker 3: Enjoy guys summer side by.
- 0:51Speaker 1: Hello and welcome to the No Dribble Summer series where
- 0:54Speaker 1: we have a series of very exciting guests joining us
- 0:58Speaker 1: over the break. My name is Carol and Swindell Plan
- 1:00Speaker 1: joined in studio as always by Catherine Cox and from
- 1:04Speaker 1: the far North Coast Lids. Welcome. We also have a
- 1:08Speaker 1: very very very special guest today and I am super
- 1:12Speaker 1: excited that might even be your very first clothes. I
- 1:16Speaker 1: am super fan girling here.
- 1:18Speaker 2: So let what girl?
- 1:21Speaker 1: Come yeah, okay, I am going to start giving you
- 1:25Speaker 1: some clues, and you, as tradition dictates, will guests who
- 1:29Speaker 1: our special guest is. Our special guest is one hundred
- 1:33Speaker 1: and ninety six centimeters to tully.
- 1:36Speaker 2: Ooh, that's a shooter for sure. That narrows it right down.
- 1:40Speaker 1: Okay, I went too early with that information. How did
- 1:43Speaker 1: you know she wasn't a wing attack?
- 1:45Speaker 4: Whoo?
- 1:46Speaker 2: Just you know?
- 1:47Speaker 1: Okay? Our special guest was born in nineteen eighty eight
- 1:53Speaker 1: thirty a six right and shares a birthday, not year,
- 2:00Speaker 1: with Calvin Klein and Jodie Foster. Interesting vintage. No, she
- 2:08Speaker 1: shares the same birth day, not same birth year. You
- 2:12Speaker 1: probably need to get You've got some early onset hearing lost, Liz,
- 2:16Speaker 1: So that's how we know that you are not the
- 2:18Speaker 1: same age.
- 2:20Speaker 4: Is that a straw that I'm clutching?
- 2:22Speaker 1: Yes, put it up to your ear and see if
- 2:24Speaker 1: you can hear better. Okay, Our special guest is a
- 2:28Speaker 1: Jamaican international.
- 2:30Speaker 2: What's one of two people?
- 2:32Speaker 1: Okay? Okay, come on that that high?
- 2:34Speaker 2: Well? Can I guess now? Or do we wait for.
- 2:37Speaker 1: The can you guess now?
- 2:39Speaker 2: Yeah? Well, it's down to two? Okay, what's genial Fowler
- 2:42Speaker 2: or Rameldeer Aiken.
- 2:43Speaker 1: Well, if you're going to say it's down to two,
- 2:45Speaker 1: can I guess? Now? You have to guess? Now are
- 2:47Speaker 1: you going? Are you going to back yourself?
- 2:50Speaker 2: It's genial Fowler.
- 2:52Speaker 1: It's so sad when you're wrong. Welcome to the No
- 2:57Speaker 1: Dribble Summer Season. Someone who I'm very excited to have
- 3:00Speaker 1: here today. She's had seven Grand Final appearances in sun
- 3:03Speaker 1: Corps supernet Or. She's played for three clubs. She was
- 3:05Speaker 1: the first player to score three and a half thousand
- 3:08Speaker 1: goals in the A n Z Championships. She has She's
- 3:10Speaker 1: a four times premiership winner from two clubs. She's played
- 3:13Speaker 1: for the Firebird, She's played for the Swift, She's played
- 3:15Speaker 1: for the Thunderbirds. Her drink of choice for those who
- 3:19Speaker 1: are playing along home were she to be out celebrating
- 3:21Speaker 1: is a gin. And you know that also makes her
- 3:24Speaker 1: very close to my heart. Please, Welcome to the No
- 3:27Speaker 1: Drible Summer series. Ramelda Aiken, John.
- 3:31Speaker 2: Welcome, Hey what a CV. Yeah, that resume is next level.
- 3:37Speaker 2: Do you sometimes when you hear all that rad ordorff
- 3:40Speaker 2: just go, oh my god, I've actually had a very
- 3:42Speaker 2: very very good.
- 3:43Speaker 5: Career sometimes but like I don't really keep track, so
- 3:49Speaker 5: I don't even remember sometimes. But I think bizarre to
- 3:53Speaker 5: know that there are lots of accolades on paper, but myself,
- 3:58Speaker 5: I don't even realize how.
- 4:00Speaker 1: Much is plenty more to come too, I reckon, So
- 4:03Speaker 1: maybe you should start writing them down, because when you
- 4:05Speaker 1: get to Liza's age, you don't even know what year
- 4:07Speaker 1: when you're born.
- 4:09Speaker 2: Well, just on that, Romelda, can I take you back
- 4:12Speaker 2: to your first ever year? Because when you first entered
- 4:15Speaker 2: the competition and everybody just saw this really young, raw
- 4:20Speaker 2: Jamaican goal shooter. Then the next minute we see you
- 4:24Speaker 2: on court absolutely dominating. What's the game change for you?
- 4:29Speaker 2: Being like? Because you've been there the entire time? So
- 4:31Speaker 2: how different is it now to what it was when
- 4:33Speaker 2: you first started in the National League here.
- 4:36Speaker 5: That is a very very very long memory. But just
- 4:41Speaker 5: like a couple of steps back. The year before I
- 4:45Speaker 5: came into the A and Z I played against Liz
- 4:48Speaker 5: Ellis over in New Zealand.
- 4:51Speaker 6: Wow, that was the year she retired to Actually.
- 4:55Speaker 1: Maybe you broke her. Maybe it was you. She went,
- 4:58Speaker 1: I can't keep up anymore.
- 5:01Speaker 2: The Jamaicans that broke the back.
- 5:04Speaker 5: I won't say anything other than she was amazing and
- 5:07Speaker 5: she took me to school in those last few days.
- 5:11Speaker 5: But I think like from the moment I came to
- 5:13Speaker 5: the first time I visit Australia, it was in Sydney.
- 5:17Speaker 6: I think it was a test match.
- 5:19Speaker 5: I remember clearly, I was like, oh my god, this
- 5:22Speaker 5: city is so great, Like I love it.
- 5:24Speaker 6: I want to come back.
- 5:25Speaker 5: And it was like a couple of years after that,
- 5:28Speaker 5: the am Z Championship started and I got approached by.
- 5:32Speaker 6: Vicki Wilson to come and play.
- 5:34Speaker 5: And I think from then on, like I feel like
- 5:37Speaker 5: the game has grown fitter, faster and stronger, and like
- 5:41Speaker 5: every year you just got to keep elevating yourself because it's.
- 5:44Speaker 6: Always younger girls coming through.
- 5:48Speaker 5: And I guess the game rules stay the same, but
- 5:51Speaker 5: it's like always like you know, on the edge of
- 5:54Speaker 5: like oh we'll let it go or we'll we'll call
- 5:57Speaker 5: it back or something. But I think, yeah, it has
- 6:00Speaker 5: changed so much dramatically every year.
- 6:03Speaker 6: It's so different.
- 6:04Speaker 5: I think even this year, like the girls were so
- 6:07Speaker 5: athletic and strong and fast and yeah, mind blown every
- 6:11Speaker 5: single time I think I step out there on court,
- 6:14Speaker 5: so yeah, well, I'm.
- 6:16Speaker 4: Going to say, remilder, the first time I played against
- 6:19Speaker 4: you in that test match, that test series against Jamaka,
- 6:21Speaker 4: you blew my mind because.
- 6:22Speaker 2: I'm like, oh my god, am I getting too short
- 6:24Speaker 2: for this game.
- 6:27Speaker 4: This woman's not only Peul which has got this great wingspan.
- 6:31Speaker 6: You can shoot, you can jumping a past.
- 6:32Speaker 4: So it's very kind of you to say that I
- 6:34Speaker 4: took you to school because I remember the very first
- 6:36Speaker 4: time we played against other each other, you handed me
- 6:39Speaker 4: my ass frankly, so I was you were just such
- 6:42Speaker 4: a great person to play against. I loved playing anyone
- 6:45Speaker 4: who was in the air, and you're in the air,
- 6:47Speaker 4: so it was unbelievable. But while steaving, you're playing Romelda.
- 6:50Speaker 2: I'm still current, So please can you keep That's so true?
- 6:55Speaker 6: It is so.
- 6:56Speaker 4: But my question is to you, like, you've had this
- 6:58Speaker 4: amazing career, but when the Firebirds didn't resign you and
- 7:02Speaker 4: it looked like it was sort of your career might
- 7:05Speaker 4: be over, and then the Swifts through your lifeline and
- 7:08Speaker 4: you spearheaded them for a season, and then they didn't
- 7:11Speaker 4: resign you, and then you got picked up by the Thunderbirds.
- 7:14Speaker 4: And to see your faces here when you got named
- 7:17Speaker 4: MVP in that Grand Final after such a bit of
- 7:21Speaker 4: a bumpy journey, did you sense at both of those
- 7:24Speaker 4: times that your career might have been over or you
- 7:26Speaker 4: determined to keep going wherever your journey took you.
- 7:30Speaker 5: Look, I think the Firebirds back in the days before
- 7:35Speaker 5: we turned west, they've been really good to me. They
- 7:38Speaker 5: gave me my first opportunity to come out here, and like,
- 7:42Speaker 5: I'm super duper grateful that I had that opportunity to
- 7:46Speaker 5: come and play. And I think like whilst everything was
- 7:50Speaker 5: kind of like cloudy, I felt like I got really complacent,
- 7:55Speaker 5: Like I felt like there was no challenge in the program.
- 7:58Speaker 5: I felt like I was doing everything repetitively. You do
- 8:02Speaker 5: the same thing every year, and I, for one, just
- 8:05Speaker 5: felt like I was kind of getting bored. And I
- 8:09Speaker 5: did have thoughts like, oh maybe this should be the end.
- 8:13Speaker 5: I don't know if I have anything else to offer,
- 8:16Speaker 5: but I felt like I was just kind of stuck
- 8:19Speaker 5: in a position where I wasn't being challenged. And I
- 8:22Speaker 5: think as an athlete, once you get complacent, like you
- 8:26Speaker 5: don't you stop caring. And I felt like I kind
- 8:29Speaker 5: of slipped into that habit and I had the conversation
- 8:34Speaker 5: and I was just told, hey, like maybe sometimes, like
- 8:38Speaker 5: that's just.
- 8:38Speaker 6: What it is.
- 8:39Speaker 5: And I got the age card and all that kind
- 8:42Speaker 5: of stuff and at the time, and I was just like,
- 8:44Speaker 5: I'm not even that old. I'm asking you to like
- 8:49Speaker 5: give me something to make me challenge myself, whether that
- 8:53Speaker 5: is on the court or in the leadership group or
- 8:56Speaker 5: whatever it might be.
- 8:57Speaker 6: And I, yeah, I got that card, and.
- 9:00Speaker 5: It made me question if, like if it was time,
- 9:03Speaker 5: but my heart was still in it, like I still
- 9:06Speaker 5: love the game. I still feel like I had so
- 9:10Speaker 5: much more to give. And I guess, like telling me
- 9:14Speaker 5: that I'm a risky play when we have other female
- 9:17Speaker 5: athletes in other sports coming back to play their sport,
- 9:20Speaker 5: why is it that I can't get that opportunity to
- 9:23Speaker 5: come back. Gretel did it, Laura did it. So why
- 9:26Speaker 5: is it now an age card for me? Or I'm
- 9:30Speaker 5: too risky or whatever the excuses they kept using.
- 9:35Speaker 6: And it really bothered me for a very long time.
- 9:38Speaker 5: And I'm just like, hey, at least other people see
- 9:41Speaker 5: potential in me, and I still have more to give.
- 9:44Speaker 5: And then when Briani reached out, this is before I
- 9:49Speaker 5: gave birth to Gigi, she expressed her interest, and I
- 9:53Speaker 5: was like, all the time that I've been here in
- 9:55Speaker 5: my fourteen years, New South Wales wereb the nemesis, and
- 10:00Speaker 5: you never go over there, you never.
- 10:02Speaker 6: You stay as far away from it, like when.
- 10:05Speaker 5: It's like game time, like you like it's like white
- 10:08Speaker 5: line fever, and so build that rivalry. And then when
- 10:12Speaker 5: I went over there, I like up until this that day,
- 10:16Speaker 5: like I'm just so grateful that Briany gave me an
- 10:19Speaker 5: opportunity and she saw something in me that I didn't
- 10:22Speaker 5: see myself, and I don't think other coaches did see
- 10:26Speaker 5: it that at the moment, and like gave me so
- 10:28Speaker 5: much belief and confident and patience. And he's even as
- 10:33Speaker 5: like a young mom. Like I think she guided me
- 10:37Speaker 5: to go back into it. She gave me lots of
- 10:40Speaker 5: advice with regarding Gianna sleeping and trying new food and
- 10:44Speaker 5: try and vegimi ill gross more than important things, and
- 10:49Speaker 5: like really taught me the value of team with a
- 10:55Speaker 5: family aspect, Like didn't have to show, didn't have to
- 10:58Speaker 5: tell anyone, like it is just there. And I think
- 11:02Speaker 5: she's so calm in battle and she gives you all
- 11:05Speaker 5: the tools that you need to go out there on court.
- 11:08Speaker 5: She is very honest with her feedback. She challenges you
- 11:12Speaker 5: to go out there and be you, like play the
- 11:16Speaker 5: red dress, because like that is so important. And I
- 11:21Speaker 5: think she's very family first kind of aspect, and yeah,
- 11:25Speaker 5: like she's just like given me like everything that I
- 11:29Speaker 5: needed to go back out on court and play. And
- 11:31Speaker 5: I'm grateful for her. She's an amazing woman. And the girls,
- 11:37Speaker 5: they played such a big part in not just my life,
- 11:41Speaker 5: but like Gianna's first few years. Like everyone will put
- 11:44Speaker 5: their hand up to want to look after gig pre
- 11:48Speaker 5: and post training, like everyone put their hand up to
- 11:51Speaker 5: mind her and giving me time to just have a
- 11:55Speaker 5: rest even.
- 11:55Speaker 6: Though I didn't. I was scrolling.
- 11:57Speaker 2: Maybe I need to go back and play because I
- 11:59Speaker 2: just sounds like ten to twelve in house babysitters.
- 12:03Speaker 1: How amazing, though, is that that the change you go
- 12:06Speaker 1: through when you become a mother and all of those
- 12:10Speaker 1: incredible things that lift you but also just itawate your
- 12:15Speaker 1: confidence and how important the people you work with are
- 12:19Speaker 1: in sort of helping you re establish that confidence. It's
- 12:21Speaker 1: like it's a I just think it's buddy fabulous to
- 12:24Speaker 1: see these mums out on court doing this it's extraordinary.
- 12:28Speaker 2: Meldon, did your mindset change when you came back to
- 12:31Speaker 2: play as a mum, because you know, once you become
- 12:34Speaker 2: a mum, your priorities and things that are actually really
- 12:37Speaker 2: important are so much different to what they were, well
- 12:41Speaker 2: they certainly were for me when I was playing. Did
- 12:43Speaker 2: you stop sweating the little things to a degree?
- 12:45Speaker 5: Do you think, oh my god, so much like I think,
- 12:49Speaker 5: like the little games that you play in your head,
- 12:53Speaker 5: in yourself, if you're good enough and you have two
- 12:57Speaker 5: little bbis looking up on your labe, Mum, you come
- 13:00Speaker 5: and play, like mummy read this, or you know, just
- 13:05Speaker 5: like you go when you play, or you have a
- 13:08Speaker 5: shitty day.
- 13:09Speaker 6: So I don't know if I can say that you
- 13:10Speaker 6: can ron you have a.
- 13:13Speaker 5: Chitty day and like you come home and like she
- 13:17Speaker 5: just gives you a hug, or Mummy come and play,
- 13:20Speaker 5: or like it's they see just like a like like
- 13:24Speaker 5: life so differently and like you stop and being like oh,
- 13:28Speaker 5: like why was I stressing these things? Like they don't
- 13:32Speaker 5: care if you win a lose a match, like they
- 13:35Speaker 5: just want to know, like you can come and play
- 13:37Speaker 5: and make them chicken nuggets or chippies or whatever it is,
- 13:41Speaker 5: or go for a walk or whatever it is, or
- 13:44Speaker 5: just like asking you random question about something you've never
- 13:47Speaker 5: thought about in your life. But I feel like the
- 13:51Speaker 5: priorities for me, everything changes and everything revolves around them
- 13:56Speaker 5: and making sure that they're happy, healthy, and you know,
- 14:01Speaker 5: loving life and knowing that mommy and Daddy's here for
- 14:04Speaker 5: you and stuff like that. So yeah, lots, I think,
- 14:08Speaker 5: have Yeah, lots of change, I think. But one thing
- 14:12Speaker 5: that I've noticed a lot is create baby. And I
- 14:18Speaker 5: was like, oh my god, I'm so tired. I'm so exhausted.
- 14:22Speaker 1: Yeah, no idea what I'm tired.
- 14:26Speaker 5: And find the energy to put into chraining because there
- 14:29Speaker 5: are girls there that are busting their ass off to
- 14:32Speaker 5: be on court.
- 14:34Speaker 6: And in your head, you're like I.
- 14:36Speaker 5: Can't even function, like I don't even know what day
- 14:39Speaker 5: it is, I don't bra or something, or like you've
- 14:45Speaker 5: forgotten to eat or whatever it is, and saying now
- 14:50Speaker 5: that I'm tired, like I don't think during like the
- 14:53Speaker 5: last two years, like I think of anything that I'm
- 14:57Speaker 5: doing regarding it all as me being.
- 14:59Speaker 6: Tired, Like I I just somehow find a way.
- 15:02Speaker 4: Ramelder, just give us a sense of when you started
- 15:04Speaker 4: all those years ago, you know, we've talked about the
- 15:06Speaker 4: net bull, but just tell us a little bit about
- 15:08Speaker 4: the culture shop with.
- 15:09Speaker 5: You're homesick every single day in the first like three months,
- 15:14Speaker 5: I Laura and Claire will tell you that I would
- 15:18Speaker 5: not leave my house because I think everything outside of
- 15:21Speaker 5: my house was a bit scary.
- 15:23Speaker 6: The birds, for.
- 15:24Speaker 2: Sure, Oh well, they're no birds in Jamaica.
- 15:30Speaker 6: These big black looking eagles like crows.
- 15:34Speaker 1: Was it magpie swooping season?
- 15:36Speaker 6: No?
- 15:37Speaker 5: Like, they're just like these black birds. They I swear
- 15:40Speaker 5: to God, they're getting bigger and bigger every day.
- 15:42Speaker 6: Even now. They're not magpies, they're just.
- 15:45Speaker 2: Jet But as a taller person, you do worry about
- 15:48Speaker 2: magpie swooping season more than the short people. I've got it.
- 15:50Speaker 1: So sad for you. My heart is breaking, Romelda. I'm
- 15:55Speaker 1: one hundred and fifty nine centimeters and that's something that
- 15:58Speaker 1: I get a lot of shit about.
- 16:00Speaker 2: They switched.
- 16:03Speaker 6: Touchwood. That doesn't happen. God.
- 16:07Speaker 2: So when was the last time you were home in Jamaica?
- 16:09Speaker 2: How often do you get back now? What's the biggest
- 16:11Speaker 2: thing you miss about it?
- 16:12Speaker 5: I guess I miss my mom. I don't miss the lifestyle.
- 16:15Speaker 5: I don't miss the food. I just missed my mom,
- 16:19Speaker 5: but like I've tried in the first year when I
- 16:22Speaker 5: was out here, I was like, I don't really know
- 16:24Speaker 5: about this place.
- 16:25Speaker 6: But I like it.
- 16:26Speaker 5: But I think I was so like I am such
- 16:29Speaker 5: a sheltered child. My Saturday afternoons or Sundays involved getting
- 16:35Speaker 5: ready to go to church on Sunday Saturday morning, going
- 16:39Speaker 5: to the markets and that's it. Like, no, I don't
- 16:44Speaker 5: go out, didn't consume alcohol until I came to Australia.
- 16:48Speaker 5: Like everything for me was very sheltered, and I think
- 16:52Speaker 5: I was. I think it's like like when you're trialing
- 16:55Speaker 5: something new but you're so scared, but you're so eager
- 16:59Speaker 5: to want to know what it is, so you're kind
- 17:02Speaker 5: of like going it like tentatively. And I think, yeah,
- 17:07Speaker 5: I was religiously when I get home, I'll tip off
- 17:11Speaker 5: every single day of the week, Oh it's.
- 17:15Speaker 6: Time to go home.
- 17:16Speaker 5: And when it was time to go home, like I
- 17:19Speaker 5: was so excited, kind of packing like probably two months
- 17:23Speaker 5: out to make sure.
- 17:25Speaker 6: That under day I was ready to go.
- 17:27Speaker 5: I was I need to be out on the first flight,
- 17:31Speaker 5: like believing Australia like that was it.
- 17:33Speaker 2: And I think and eighteen seasons later, you are You're
- 17:36Speaker 2: still here.
- 17:37Speaker 6: Still here.
- 17:38Speaker 5: The month going back got longer and longer, and I
- 17:41Speaker 5: went home at the end of Gianna last year. So
- 17:45Speaker 5: I went home just after COVID and I was pregnant
- 17:50Speaker 5: with Gianna that December, and I was so scared to
- 17:53Speaker 5: tell my mom that I was pregnant because I.
- 17:55Speaker 6: Feel like you thought we're all nuts. In my defense, I.
- 18:01Speaker 2: Have seen you girls on the dance floor. You are
- 18:03Speaker 2: not nuts.
- 18:04Speaker 5: Hey, hey, hey, we've.
- 18:08Speaker 2: Just been talking about how bad we are on the
- 18:10Speaker 2: dance floor. So it's a it's a skill we wish
- 18:13Speaker 2: we had.
- 18:14Speaker 5: Well, I think once we're in an environment in the club,
- 18:18Speaker 5: we're all families, so no one really judges anyone.
- 18:21Speaker 1: I find my family the most judge of my skills. Buddy, kids,
- 18:27Speaker 1: enjoy your daughter while she delights in you, because my
- 18:29Speaker 1: children are just full of contempt. It's like you're doing
- 18:32Speaker 1: what do.
- 18:32Speaker 2: You know what? They say that, But can you imagine
- 18:34Speaker 2: Liz and I on the dance floor with a bunch
- 18:36Speaker 2: of awesome dancing Jamaicans, you know, with great rhythm. As
- 18:40Speaker 2: if you wouldn't be judging, you'd be judging your asses off.
- 18:43Speaker 5: Totally listen I wouldn't be judging because they all tell
- 18:47Speaker 5: me that I am the white version of the Jamaican.
- 18:50Speaker 6: It's absolute opposite to what they would do.
- 18:56Speaker 5: I only have the title Jamaican, but everything else is
- 19:00Speaker 5: they said that I am very well, especially she tells
- 19:04Speaker 5: me all the time, you're so white.
- 19:08Speaker 2: Ah, you've been here too long. Okay, on that, then,
- 19:11Speaker 2: we want to do some quick fire questions with you
- 19:14Speaker 2: if we can.
- 19:15Speaker 1: This is a high pressure situation, and I know you've
- 19:18Speaker 1: confronted a few in your life in your career, Ramelder,
- 19:21Speaker 1: but I just want you to know it's Coxy's hot box,
- 19:25Speaker 1: and there are very few people who've gone into Coxy's
- 19:28Speaker 1: hot box and come out unscarred. So are you ready
- 19:32Speaker 1: for quick fire questions from Catherine Cox?
- 19:35Speaker 6: Go for it?
- 19:39Speaker 2: Oh, she doesn't sound all scared. All right, here we go, Ramelda,
- 19:44Speaker 2: Ach and George, you should be scared. Nations. What depends
- 19:47Speaker 2: on your answers? All right? What is your coffee? Orders?
- 19:50Speaker 6: A cappuccino?
- 19:52Speaker 2: Sorry? Summer? All winter? No, I'm surprised by that. Are
- 19:57Speaker 2: we what you go to breakfast?
- 19:59Speaker 6: It's a mood thing.
- 20:00Speaker 2: Oh tell me about that?
- 20:01Speaker 6: You said, quick fair questions?
- 20:04Speaker 2: No, No, but we we're the hosts of this show,
- 20:07Speaker 2: are allowed to delve a little deeper if something intrigues us.
- 20:10Speaker 5: Okay, game day, you know, scrambled eggs, toast ovo If
- 20:17Speaker 5: I'm not game Day, it's a sweet like pancake or
- 20:21Speaker 5: waffles or forage.
- 20:23Speaker 2: Okay, love that?
- 20:25Speaker 1: All right?
- 20:25Speaker 2: I was hoping you weren't going to say Vegi might
- 20:27Speaker 2: on toast.
- 20:28Speaker 1: She does not like vegimite. We've already covered that.
- 20:30Speaker 2: Yeah, funniest teammate Latana, Oh, tomato, sauce in the fridge?
- 20:35Speaker 2: Are in the cupboard?
- 20:36Speaker 6: Cupboard?
- 20:37Speaker 2: Favorite sport that's not netball?
- 20:39Speaker 6: Basketball?
- 20:40Speaker 2: Best holiday destination?
- 20:42Speaker 6: I don't really have fun.
- 20:44Speaker 2: Oh there you go. All right, your girlfriend needs some
- 20:46Speaker 2: holiday time. What do you do on the plane? What's
- 20:49Speaker 2: your playing activity when you're flying?
- 20:51Speaker 6: Watch movies or I play different games?
- 20:56Speaker 2: What are you binging right now? Then? Talking of watching movies.
- 21:00Speaker 6: Just finish Ted Ted.
- 21:03Speaker 2: Lasso mess Lizzellis loves that Messy his teammate.
- 21:10Speaker 6: Pre Gabby Gabby Simpson. Yeah, she's looking after Gianna now,
- 21:16Speaker 6: so that's nice.
- 21:17Speaker 2: Okay, Well, hopefully she's not making a mess. Do you
- 21:21Speaker 2: have any ink? Have you got a tattoo?
- 21:23Speaker 6: No?
- 21:24Speaker 2: You are you getting one? Sounds like you might be.
- 21:27Speaker 6: Tanya wants us to get one, but I said.
- 21:30Speaker 2: No, your coach wants you to get one. Yeah, she's
- 21:33Speaker 2: she's the hit girl that's hysterical. Does she want you
- 21:37Speaker 2: all to get like a premiership winning one?
- 21:39Speaker 1: I think so well, you'd have to go and get
- 21:41Speaker 1: three others first, wouldn't you?
- 21:43Speaker 3: Like? How's that your coach wants to take you all
- 21:46Speaker 3: to the tattoo parla.
- 21:47Speaker 6: And I'll get as okay.
- 21:50Speaker 2: I don't think we need to know about the piercing?
- 21:52Speaker 2: Do we our favorite music genre?
- 21:55Speaker 6: Anything? Rihanna?
- 21:57Speaker 2: There you go? How do you like your steak cooked?
- 21:59Speaker 2: This one, it's very important to Liz.
- 22:01Speaker 6: Ellis medium, well done with pepper sauce.
- 22:04Speaker 2: Specific I like it well done, and you've passed Coxies hot.
- 22:07Speaker 1: Box well done. You've emerged alive, Liz. Any comments on
- 22:11Speaker 1: the steak, I'd.
- 22:12Speaker 4: Like for your Amelda to try to move to medium
- 22:15Speaker 4: on your steak, and if it's quality steak, maybe have
- 22:18Speaker 4: the pepper sauce beside.
- 22:19Speaker 6: But who am I to judge?
- 22:20Speaker 4: Because you spent the last eight ten years challenging yourself,
- 22:23Speaker 4: so you know what you do?
- 22:23Speaker 1: Whatever you like?
- 22:24Speaker 2: Yeah, let the girlfriend at the steak actually wants it.
- 22:26Speaker 5: Elizabeth Ellis, I don't think I would want to have
- 22:30Speaker 5: a piece of meat that is still moving under cook
- 22:36Speaker 5: It's not for me. And I think medium is really
- 22:40Speaker 5: pushing it. Usually I see well done, so.
- 22:44Speaker 1: So you said medium well in order to try to
- 22:47Speaker 1: impress Is that was so we wouldn't have this conversation,
- 22:50Speaker 1: you know, well done. We've had a number of your
- 22:54Speaker 1: Netbak colleagues in the summer series and well done appears
- 22:57Speaker 1: to be the way of choice for them to have steak,
- 23:00Speaker 1: which because they're young.
- 23:02Speaker 6: It's sad, is it? Is it?
- 23:06Speaker 2: When you're young, Romelda, I'll.
- 23:08Speaker 6: Take I'll take it.
- 23:09Speaker 2: I'll take your young compared to us.
- 23:11Speaker 5: But why would you want to eat something that is
- 23:16Speaker 5: still mooing?
- 23:18Speaker 1: Because it's delicious? All right? I think you're the first
- 23:25Speaker 1: one to push back on Coxy's hot box on the
- 23:27Speaker 1: steak discussion. I really like this. I think that is
- 23:29Speaker 1: that is the secret to your success. But I think
- 23:32Speaker 1: that's all Sadly. We've got time for today with our
- 23:36Speaker 1: very exciting special guest today, Ramelda Oak and George. It
- 23:40Speaker 1: has been an absolute delight having you here.
- 23:43Speaker 2: It has thank you so much for your time. All
- 23:45Speaker 2: the best for a massive season. Hey do you think
- 23:47Speaker 2: the Thunderbirds are going to go back to back to back?
- 23:51Speaker 6: We just have to wait and see.
- 23:54Speaker 5: I think we've got we've got your favorite out there
- 23:57Speaker 5: out the front, so.
- 24:00Speaker 6: We'll be we'll be gunning for it for sure.
- 24:05Speaker 2: Well, all the best.
- 24:06Speaker 1: Well, thank you for protecting Georgie by taking her position
- 24:10Speaker 1: in the firing line with Cat today. I think Kat's
- 24:12Speaker 1: behavior has been somewhat worrying, so we've been asked to
- 24:14Speaker 1: keep away from Georgie. But thanks for joining us from ELDO.
- 24:19Speaker 6: Thank you so much. We love Georgie. She's best
