- 0:11Hello and welcome. You're listening to Galaxy
- 0:14Crashes, the Busted and McFly podcast.
- 0:17The only podcast where the 2 worlds of Busted and McFly
- 0:20collide. I'm Sham.
- 0:23And I'm Tay, and on this week's episode we're talking all things
- 0:26Psycho girl with stories of crazy exes from not only us, but
- 0:30you guys too. Yeah, and we've got some really
- 0:33interesting listener stories this week as well as this or
- 0:36that. The We Are Family section is
- 0:39back again and we are dissecting the song of the week as always.
- 0:43Indeed we are. So how are you?
- 0:45How's your week been? Yeah, not too bad.
- 0:49I have really spoke to us this week.
- 0:52No, that's true. Actually, I was thinking that
- 0:54the other day. I was like, we haven't had our
- 0:56normal catch up. But to be honest, it's probably
- 0:58because there's nothing to catch up because same old, same old,
- 1:03same old. I yeah, I've not really been
- 1:07doing much. I've had quite busy weekends
- 1:09though. I feel like I haven't sat down.
- 1:10Do you know what I mean? Even though I probably have very
- 1:14much doom scrolled for hours on end, I still feel like I haven't
- 1:18sat down. Yeah, I get you.
- 1:21It's easy to like to get lost in that like zone, isn't it, Where
- 1:25you just sit down and you don't move, but then.
- 1:27This this afternoon, this afternoon I had, oh, it's not
- 1:31really this afternoon. It was about half six.
- 1:33I got in and I had a shower and Arya said to me, can you read me
- 1:38a story when you get out the shower please, mummy?
- 1:40And I said, if you're still awake, I'll read your story.
- 1:42So I got out of the shower, sat on my bed in my towel as you do,
- 1:46just like air drying because I can't really want to turn my
- 1:48pyjamas on. And I was sat there scrolling on
- 1:52my phone. And she came in and she said,
- 1:53mummy, I'm still awake, can you read me that story please?
- 1:56And I said, Oh yeah, yeah, absolutely.
- 1:58You go get into bed and I'll be there in a second.
- 2:00And I swear to God, it felt like 2 seconds had passed.
- 2:05And she came into the bedroom and she said, Mummy, have you
- 2:07forgotten about me? God bless her.
- 2:10I was just, I was just doom scrolling.
- 2:13It's. So easy to do.
- 2:14It's so easy to be trying to make like more of an effort to
- 2:17not be on our phones around Molly because she sees us on
- 2:20them all the time. And it's so hard to not do it
- 2:23because obviously everything that you do is on your phone.
- 2:26Yeah, exactly. And I've got because school is
- 2:31like proper back in session now, I feel like I've just got like
- 2:341000 emails to catch up on because every day they're
- 2:38realising a new issue. Do you know what I mean?
- 2:42So I feel like when I. Spring 1 behaviour.
- 2:44Yeah, literally. I feel like I come home from
- 2:47school, I sit down on the sofa and I've got like 12 emails to
- 2:50reply to. I'm only atai.
- 2:52Shouldn't be this important? Leave me alone.
- 2:56Oh, so funny because I remember it so well.
- 3:00Literally. Anyway, have you been busy week?
- 3:04No, no. I'm.
- 3:04OK, I've been I've been ill again.
- 3:10I. Cannot get well at the moment.
- 3:13Everything. Oh, there's just so many germs
- 3:15in my house. It's just gross.
- 3:18I just don't understand how like I feel really minging and then I
- 3:21wake up and I'm like OK, I feel better today.
- 3:23I feel better. And then a couple of days go
- 3:25past and I feel fine and then literally another day and I'm
- 3:28ill again. I'm like.
- 3:29Why? How has this happened?
- 3:31It's just awful. But other than that it's been
- 3:34OK. We had a pretty chill weekend.
- 3:35We didn't get up to much, but it's been a really nice start to
- 3:38the week. Actually.
- 3:39Last night we had the Northern Lights like.
- 3:43Beautiful. It was insane.
- 3:46And it's one of my bucket listings and they've been above
- 3:50like where we are quite a few times and I've always missed
- 3:52them. Every time I wake up the next
- 3:54day and I see them all over social media and I'm like, oh
- 3:56for God's sake, I've missed them again.
- 3:57But. Yeah, me and Bradley woke up
- 3:59this morning and we were like, how?
- 4:01How is it every single time we miss 'cause there's some photos
- 4:04from I live right next to an aerodrome and there's there was
- 4:07cars parked everywhere over this aerodrome because yeah, I and I
- 4:13said to Pradi, that would have been such a lovely little
- 4:14atmosphere to be part of. Oh it.
- 4:16Was amazing. But yeah, we missed it 'cause I
- 4:18fell asleep at 7:00. Oh to be fair though, genuinely,
- 4:22I would have missed it if it wasn't for Tash.
- 4:24Thank God Tash was, she's such a good friend.
- 4:26It was 9:30, twenty to 10 and me and Jack had gone to bed
- 4:30literally at 8:00 because we were both knackered.
- 4:32We got into bed, we watched an episode of Fallout, which is
- 4:35what we're watching at the moment.
- 4:36And then Jack came downstairs to watch some football much of the
- 4:39day or something. And I was like, right, Family
- 4:41Guy and I'm going to nod off. And it was like 20 to 10.
- 4:43And I heard my phone going off. And I was like, who is ringing
- 4:45me at 20 to 10? Like, surely it's something
- 4:48awful has happened because nobody ever rings me this late.
- 4:51And Tasha was like, I'm so sorry to wake you up if I've woken you
- 4:55up. Sorry to like interrupt your
- 4:56evening. But I thought you'd like to know
- 4:58that the Northern Lights are visible from the house.
- 5:00And I was like, Oh my God, really?
- 5:02Just like, yes, I literally got up and backed my dressing gown
- 5:05on and my my Crocs and just went and see because we've got
- 5:07outside our bedroom door, we've got a flat roof, which is our
- 5:11Conservatory extension. So you can literally step out of
- 5:14my bedroom onto the roof, which is really cool.
- 5:16Oh nice. Oh my God, they were insane.
- 5:19Like like proper pink hue in the sky to start and then like
- 5:24within about 5 minutes the green had started to move and oh it
- 5:27was absolutely phenomenal. So I was really that really like
- 5:30made my day because I'm not going to lie, I had the worst
- 5:33day I've ever had at Supply yesterday.
- 5:37So for those of you that that haven't listened before, I'm a
- 5:39supply teacher. So I do a lot of like going to
- 5:42different schools, TA ING teaching here, there and
- 5:46everywhere. And I love my job.
- 5:47I love just going into new schools and meeting new people
- 5:50and like new kids. And yes, it is crazy.
- 5:53And sometimes it's like think on your feet kind of thing.
- 5:56But my Lord above yesterday I was not mentally prepared for it
- 6:00was only a half a day. It was 4 hours.
- 6:02So I, you know, thought half a day is fine.
- 6:05It's, it's good pay. Like I was happy to go down to
- 6:08this little school I'd not been to before.
- 6:11Within about an hour and a half, I was considering walking out.
- 6:14Oh. My goodness it.
- 6:16Was that bad? That sounds awful.
- 6:20It was chaos. There was just no organisation.
- 6:24It was very like just like I just felt like there were just
- 6:29so many safeguarding issues. Did you feel like it was?
- 6:33So me and there's another teacher at my school.
- 6:35Every time there's like I want to say supply.
- 6:39It is normally when there's a supply in, but you know, when
- 6:41there's like a classroom that's just really playing up, we call
- 6:44it nativity. You know the movie.
- 6:46Right, Yes, I. Know when all the kids are like
- 6:49little shits and it's like safeguarding 101 going into
- 6:54nativity. It's like as a teacher or TA
- 6:57watching that movie, it's like. You don't.
- 7:00Like you can't watch it the same anymore.
- 7:02Literally. But yeah, we survived.
- 7:04We're here. Another, another, another week.
- 7:06Proud of you, yeah. Proud of myself.
- 7:08Thank you. It's time for this or that.
- 7:14And this week we've chose some very interesting scenarios,
- 7:17which we did actually find 2 that were quite similar.
- 7:19So we've chosen a couple each. So there's going to be a few few
- 7:22to think about and they are all related to our song of the week,
- 7:26Psycho Girl. So Shannon, I'll let you go
- 7:28first and then I'll do one and then you can do your other one
- 7:31because I know you've got 2. Nice so my first one is would
- 7:36this or that skip the get to know you stage?
- 7:39Just full on obsessed from the word go right?
- 7:43Or spend a year in the Get to Know Me stage constantly feeling
- 7:48like you're teetering on the edge of a relationship.
- 7:52Oh, that's a tricky one because I'm not like, well, actually say
- 7:57that. I was just going to say I'm not
- 7:59like a full on obsessed from the word go kind of girl.
- 8:02But actually if you asked my husband, he'd probably disagree
- 8:04with you because there was quite an obsession at the beginning.
- 8:11I think I would probably, yeah, I probably would go obsessed
- 8:14from the word go because a whole year, teetering on the edge, a
- 8:18whole year, that's a long time. And in my head I'm like, if it's
- 8:23a year and you're still uming, uming and R ING about this, then
- 8:26I'm not for you, babe. I mean, you're either all in or
- 8:28you're not. Do you know what I mean?
- 8:30I agree with you, but also I kind of feel like, I feel like
- 8:34last Christmas was last week. Like I could do a year.
- 8:37Yeah, I could do. The years are going so quickly
- 8:40now. I'm in my 30s.
- 8:41I could do now. They are now.
- 8:43They are, but if you think about when you and Brad started
- 8:46dating, that was a long old time ago.
- 8:48Same for me and Jack. Like if that was happening when
- 8:50you met, like, would you have been OK with that?
- 8:55So I this is a really hard one for me because I'm not an
- 8:59obsessed kind of girlie when it comes to relationships.
- 9:02I want a best mate. I don't want like, I don't want
- 9:04to be fawning over you. However, I do hate, I hate the
- 9:10get to know stage so much. I don't want to know your
- 9:12favourite colour. I don't want to know what your
- 9:15favourite meal is. I don't want to know what
- 9:18football team you support. I hate the get to know you
- 9:20stage. I want to be able to write
- 9:22somebody a list of all those those things about me, give it
- 9:26to them and they just remember it.
- 9:27I don't want to talk to you about it.
- 9:28Yeah, I don't want to tell you that.
- 9:33My favourite colour and my favourite band.
- 9:35Do you know what I mean? I don't.
- 9:37I don't care enough. Or we could just do quick fire
- 9:40questions, get it out the way. What you don't?
- 9:44Want to get care of that? No, I yeah, I just don't think.
- 9:49I mean also it's just says get to new stage.
- 9:52Just full on obsessed as in we're both obsessed with each
- 9:55other. I feel like it would be OK if
- 9:57it's like me obsessed with them or them obsessed with me.
- 9:59It might just be a bit too much. But if we're both obsessed with
- 10:02each other from the word go. I think, OK, yeah, yeah, I see
- 10:05that do. You know what I mean?
- 10:06Could it be all right? I'm not an obsessed kind of
- 10:09girl, but also I think if they were obsessed with me and I
- 10:12wasn't obsessed with them, that would be an ick.
- 10:15I think I would really, really be put off them.
- 10:17Oh. My God, have been in that
- 10:19situation, Definitely have been in that situation.
- 10:22So awkward because actually, do you know what?
- 10:23I've probably been on both sides of that situation.
- 10:26Yeah. In my dating life, I've probably
- 10:30been on both sides of that situation and it's not nice
- 10:32either way, not going to lie. No, even sorry.
- 10:36My my monitor is beeping next to me.
- 10:38I didn't realise I still had it on.
- 10:40Yeah. I genuinely don't think being on
- 10:41either side is fun. I don't, I don't think.
- 10:43I I think, yeah, I don't think there's a preference.
- 10:46I don't. I hate both sides, to be
- 10:48completely honest. Yeah, I think I I definitely go
- 10:51with obsessed. I think that's probably easier
- 10:52for me. Just just rather somebody be all
- 10:55in. OK?
- 10:56Mine is this or that. Have a girlfriend who says I
- 11:00trust you but has your location, passwords and a secret shrine to
- 11:04you in her house. Or one who disappears for three
- 11:07days and comes back like nothing happened at all.
- 11:10Oh well, I did just say that I hate obsessions, but I don't
- 11:16know if I could deal with the disappearing for three days.
- 11:21Yeah, yeah. That's.
- 11:22I'm a lot. I'm the girl.
- 11:24I'm the girl who has an argument with you and I'll live in the
- 11:27same house as you, but then I'll go to work and I'll text you all
- 11:30day. I don't want to talk to you
- 11:33about this conversation that's made me very angry, but I'll
- 11:36text you about it. Yeah, I don't want you to
- 11:39disappear from me. I want you to know that I'm
- 11:40still here. I want you to know I'm here and
- 11:44I'm angry, but I also want you to know that I'm here.
- 11:48Do you know what I mean? And I'm angry.
- 11:49Yeah, exactly. And I'm angry.
- 11:53I love that. OK.
- 11:54So you're going for which one? I don't, I genuinely don't know.
- 12:01I have a girlfriend who says I trust you but has your leg.
- 12:06Yeah. Do you know what?
- 12:06I'll do that one. I've got nothing to hide.
- 12:09You can have my location. You can have my passwords.
- 12:11The secret shrine is a little bit odd, but whatever.
- 12:16You do you. I have nothing to hide.
- 12:19You do you. Yeah, like, as long as I don't
- 12:22have to see your secret shrine. It's secret, right?
- 12:24So I I've seen it. Secret.
- 12:26It's secret. I I actually think I agree.
- 12:29I agree with you. I think that's a good choice.
- 12:31I'll tell you where my location is.
- 12:32My location is my work and my bed.
- 12:35There is nowhere else I ever. Go.
- 12:37I can tell you that. I can tell you the three places
- 12:39that you'll find me, right? In a school, somewhere at home
- 12:43or in Liddles, because that's literally where I spend my life.
- 12:45I swear. Down.
- 12:46Yeah. That's it.
- 12:47Nice, maybe. Occasionally the same, but ALDI.
- 12:50Yeah, Oh dear. And I get like, you know, if you
- 12:55don't have anything to hide, then what?
- 12:56You're not really shouldn't really be that worried about
- 12:59passwords and stuff, surely you know what I mean?
- 13:02Like I, there's me and Bradley, know each other's passwords for
- 13:04everything. I yes, worry about him when we
- 13:07break up. If I said when we break up, then
- 13:09Oh my God, I worry about about him if we ever break up because
- 13:15I'm the girl that will then log into everything and read your
- 13:18messages, see what you're really saying about me.
- 13:20Oh. My God, don't do that.
- 13:21That's terrible. Let's not think about that.
- 13:24It's not going to happen. Can't be dealing with that.
- 13:27Oh my gosh. Yeah.
- 13:28Now I I think I agree. OK, go on then.
- 13:30Let's do your last one because I know you had another one.
- 13:33My last 1 is really simple, have a psycho X or be the psycho X.
- 13:39So when we get to story time later, I'm going to share, I'm
- 13:43going to share two stories, one of me being the psycho X and one
- 13:47of me having a psycho X. So I've been in both roles.
- 13:50I think I would much rather have the psycho X because I am
- 13:54ashamed of my of how I acted. I'm not going to lie.
- 13:58I mean, I was, I was 18 and young and in love and crazy and,
- 14:02you know, just a bit of a nut bag to be completely honest.
- 14:05And most of the time I was drunk.
- 14:06Let's face it, I was drunk most of the time.
- 14:08But still, I think I can look back now as an adult and think
- 14:12it gives me the ick to think that I behave that way.
- 14:17So yeah, I think I'd rather have the Psycho X.
- 14:19It's always a funny story, isn't it?
- 14:22What do you? Think yeah, I think I think I'm
- 14:24the same because yeah, I I just don't I, I'm way too anxious to
- 14:31ever say yeah I'll be the psycho X because.
- 14:35I would live my whole life. Could you, like literally, I
- 14:40just live my life in complete embarrassment.
- 14:42I don't think I'd leave the house if I ended up being the
- 14:44psycho X. Not because I'm not.
- 14:46I'm not psycho X shaming anyone, All right?
- 14:49No. If you want to be a Psycho X for
- 14:51a little while, if you've got a reason for it, do it.
- 14:54I don't care as long as it's not affecting me.
- 14:56But I don't think I could live with it because I am such an
- 15:01anxious Sally. I really couldn't also have a
- 15:04Psycho X. What, are you telling me
- 15:06somebody was once obsessed with me enough to be psycho?
- 15:08Yes, please. I mean, that's a good way to put
- 15:13a spin on it, I suppose. Well, there we go.
- 15:19That's a good moment for a ba ba ba duba, I think.
- 15:22Let's just done that there. This week on We Are Family, we
- 15:28are talking about one of, oh, let's say my favourite things in
- 15:33the whole entire world. We are going to be talking about
- 15:36a member of the Fletcher family now.
- 15:38We have spoken before quite intensely about the Fletchers.
- 15:41We've talked about Carrie, we've talked about Tom, we have
- 15:45mentioned Giovanna on occasion as well, and our undying love
- 15:48for the whole family and Buzz at 1.2, and the fact that, you
- 15:52know, we'd all actually quite like to be a member of the
- 15:55Fletcher family. I thought, you know, maybe one
- 15:58day they'd like to adopt me. But instead of adopting me, they
- 16:00decided to adopt A dog instead. And that dog is Dennis, so to
- 16:07say. I thought, after I've seen some
- 16:10such cute posts from Tom on Instagram of Dennis playing on
- 16:15the beach and running around in the sea down here, by the way,
- 16:18might I add, in the tow of the country that is Cornwall, He
- 16:22they came down on a holiday. I think it was either just
- 16:24before Christmas or just after Christmas to Watergate Bay,
- 16:27which is up in the Newquay area, so only about half an hour from
- 16:30where I am. And they took Dennis to the
- 16:33beach and he was running around and having the best time ever.
- 16:38He is so freaking cute. Have you seen the videos of him?
- 16:41Because he's actually adorable. Yeah.
- 16:43He is so he, you know, it was so funny because Bradley doesn't
- 16:48really care about McFly. He's like, he's an absolute
- 16:51loser. But I always show him the
- 16:55pictures of that bloody dog and the videos.
- 16:58And you know what? You can't.
- 17:00You can't wipe a smile off your face when you see that animal.
- 17:04Oh, and you see a golden. He's he's such a typical golden
- 17:08retriever. Do you know what I mean?
- 17:09He's so dopey and cute and like, I can just picturing him in my
- 17:15head right now, tilting his head.
- 17:17Do you know? What I mean when they look at
- 17:19you and they're like. The puppy tilt, Yeah.
- 17:23Blue does it all the time. So the the video that sparked me
- 17:27to put Dennis as our we are family member this week is the
- 17:31video that Tom posted of him and he's like asleep looks like he's
- 17:34like on a bed like a dog bed or something.
- 17:36You're like he's he's not asleep, but he looks like he
- 17:38could be asleep, but he's got his eyes open and he's just
- 17:40looking at the camera. And then the camera slowly,
- 17:43slowly, slowly pans out and around him is just a complete
- 17:47utter mess of destruction where he's obviously actually pulled
- 17:52apart all of like the stuffing out of the bed that he's lying
- 17:55on. And Oh my God, it was just so
- 17:57cute. And I was just, it just took me
- 18:01back to when Baloo was a puppy and I, Oh my God, I just
- 18:05remember him chewing every single thing he could possibly
- 18:08find. And then today I found another
- 18:10video Tom had shared and it's just pictures of Dennis with
- 18:13different shoes in his mouth. I love that.
- 18:16My old four different shoes. We used to say that Harvey would
- 18:21bring us presents and we came in the door because we'd walk
- 18:24through the door, we'd sit on the sofa and Harvey would have a
- 18:27shoe in his mouth and he'd give you a shoe and she came in the
- 18:30door. I didn't matter who you were.
- 18:32I remember him doing that because I met him a few times,
- 18:35obviously, like when we first started being friends.
- 18:38Obviously I went up to your mum and dad's a few times, didn't I?
- 18:41And he, he was there. I do remember him doing that
- 18:44balloon he. Was just not.
- 18:46He's not a shoe person. He's, he likes to just grab
- 18:50random things. It's very strange.
- 18:54If somebody comes in the house, he gets very excited and he's
- 18:57learnt that if he has a toy in his mouth, he doesn't mouth you.
- 19:01Like I always used to tell him off because he doesn't bite.
- 19:04He's very, very soft, but he like, licks and like, puts his
- 19:07mouth on your hand. I have to tell him, like, not to
- 19:11do that. So he's learned to go and pick
- 19:13up a toy instead. But sometimes it can literally
- 19:16be anything that's on the floor like.
- 19:18Genuine. I remember I came to your house
- 19:20once and he gave me a piece of tissue.
- 19:22Yeah, yeah. Tissue, like wet wipes, Marley
- 19:25socks, teddies of Marley's pencils, a bit of like toilet
- 19:30roll, you know, like the toilet roll holders.
- 19:32Sometimes I let Marley play with those.
- 19:34He'll pick those up. I've seen him pick up so many
- 19:36different things, even like down to like a tiny little piece of
- 19:38like, tape or something that's stuck to my sock or something.
- 19:42And he'll pick it up. He'll find it.
- 19:45And then he gets the zoomies and it's just the cutest thing ever.
- 19:47But yes, well, Dennis is a golden retriever and I thought
- 19:53it would be super cute to mention him today.
- 19:56They actually got him last August 2005, August 2005, They
- 20:01great dumped him. I know.
- 20:03Oh yeah, such a good month, such a good summer month.
- 20:08I just think having a dog is such a.
- 20:12It's just a different, it's just a different thing, isn't it?
- 20:15Do you know what I mean? Like, I know you've had like a
- 20:17family dog, haven't you? And like, you've got cat now,
- 20:20and you've had cats quite a lot, haven't you, with your like,
- 20:22since you've been, you know, adult enough to have your own
- 20:25house? So like about getting a dog, we
- 20:27have and it's actually something that we looked into during
- 20:30lockdown is adopting a dog or you know, fostering.
- 20:36So until they get there for home, we didn't.
- 20:38Really be able to say goodbye. No, that's the reason why we
- 20:42didn't do it. Because I know I would be, I
- 20:45would be really, I would be awful.
- 20:48But also we just, it's really hard because since me and
- 20:53Bradley have been together, I lost my dog, he lost one of his
- 20:57and we've lost 2 cats and we just, it's just a heartbreak
- 21:04that we're not ready for. Do you know what I mean?
- 21:07I am so ready for all of the goodness.
- 21:10I'm so ready to love a dog the way it should be loved.
- 21:13And sometimes I get really angry at people that I see not loving
- 21:17a dog how it should be loved. For example, people like I used
- 21:21to in my old job, I used to work in hospitality and I used to
- 21:24actually physically tell people off for walking their dog when
- 21:27it was too hot when they came into our coffee shop because.
- 21:31We see it all the time down here in Cornwall, we see it all the
- 21:33time on. People.
- 21:34Yeah, I bet you do. Literally it's like 30° in the
- 21:36summer and you're like, what are you doing?
- 21:38These dogs need to be at home like they should not be.
- 21:40So we ask. Rather not give them a walk and
- 21:43not kill them of heat exhaustion.
- 21:45Do you know what I mean? Yeah, exactly.
- 21:47And also you could just do it later in the evening or take
- 21:51them to in, take them in your car to a field or something
- 21:54where it's not really, really hot or, I don't know.
- 21:56There are so many other things you could do.
- 21:57We are so ready for one. But also there are things that
- 22:01come with having a dog like. Oh God, it's in.
- 22:03The house. Yeah, it's a massive
- 22:05responsibility as well. Like it's the winter, especially
- 22:07when you've got. Yeah, exactly.
- 22:10We've got two kids. There's hardly enough room for
- 22:11the four of us. Yeah.
- 22:13We need a bigger house, we need more spare time, yeah.
- 22:20They deserve a lot of love as well.
- 22:21And like I also sometimes fit even feel bad like with Baloo,
- 22:25because he's 3 now, he'll be he'll be four this year, which
- 22:28makes me feel physically sick that he's going to be 4.
- 22:31Like I can't believe that's not even OK.
- 22:35I, I feel I get even get like mum guilt with him because
- 22:40obviously I'm playing with Mali like all day.
- 22:43We're at home together and I do try my best to involve him and
- 22:45like he's quite lazy. He likes to chill and sleep and
- 22:47whatever. But like I find it really hard
- 22:49when I come home. Obviously, like if Jack's in
- 22:52here with Molly, the first thing I do is go to Molly and he's
- 22:55like buzzing around my legs and like sometimes I'm like
- 22:59accidentally like trip over or something because he's right in
- 23:01front of me and then I'm like go away below and then I'm like,
- 23:04Oh, I'm sorry. And then I watch a video where
- 23:08someone's like talking about their dog or like the dog's
- 23:10dying or something. And I'm like, Oh my God, how
- 23:12ever been so horrible to you? Like when I say so horrible, I
- 23:16let it's me telling him to go away.
- 23:17Like that's how horrible I am to a dog.
- 23:19But that even that in itself, it's just like heartbreaking.
- 23:23It's so sad. There's such big parts of your
- 23:25life. But I do think that the years of
- 23:28memories that you make with them are worth the heartbreak.
- 23:31It really is. And it is going to kill me when
- 23:33he goes. But my God, I'm so lucky to have
- 23:36him. He's such a good dog as is dead.
- 23:38Another thing I will say as well, yeah, another thing I will
- 23:41say as well is that we also would really love to adopt A
- 23:44dog. And I I think people, not
- 23:47people, but companies eat like animal shelters and stuff make
- 23:51it so hard for you to be able to adopt A dog when you have
- 23:54children. It is near on impossible to
- 23:58adopt A dog when you have children.
- 24:01And expensive as well. My God, it's so expensive.
- 24:04I think because we looked at rescue and it worked out, it was
- 24:07going to be something like 4-5 hundred pounds to actually
- 24:10rescue a dog. And it was £800 to, to get a
- 24:13puppy. And we were like with us,
- 24:16obviously at that point we were trying for a baby and stuff and
- 24:19we knew that we needed to have a dog that was timid and could be
- 24:22around children. We just thought, you know what,
- 24:25getting a puppy was just a better option for us at that
- 24:27time. But it isn't to say that I
- 24:29wouldn't have rescued if if the right thing had come along, but
- 24:31it was just so long and expensive.
- 24:34And they do like house cheques. And you know, and I get that you
- 24:37need a dog to have a good home. I understand that completely,
- 24:40but. Also, don't these dogs just need
- 24:42homes? Yeah, exactly.
- 24:44You could adopt A child. Like, easier than adopting a
- 24:47bloody dog. Crazy.
- 24:49But equally, I think I love golden retrievers.
- 24:53And when I saw that they'd got a golden retriever, I was like,
- 24:56this is the cutest thing ever because we were having an R ING
- 24:58between a Labrador and a golden retriever for like a while.
- 25:01We were like, although we did make a very rash decision in
- 25:04getting below, it was very last minute.
- 25:07Jack didn't really get a say. I found the dogs that they were
- 25:09for sale and I was like, should we go and see a dog?
- 25:12He didn't have a lot of say at all.
- 25:15But we went for a Labrador because golden retrievers in my
- 25:19head don't shed. Like shed loads more than
- 25:21Labradors. I was wrong.
- 25:24My dog is a walking bowl of fluff.
- 25:27My house is, there is hair everywhere, like on the shelves.
- 25:33Like how does that happen? Like how does that happen?
- 25:35It is is all the time and it is disgusting.
- 25:39It makes me want to cry. I see Molly sometimes if she's
- 25:41in a Strop, she like lies down on the floor.
- 25:43I'm like, get off the floor. You're covered in dog hair.
- 25:47She's like rubbing her face in the carpet.
- 25:49I'm like, oh God, what are you doing?
- 25:51I remember one time I came to your house.
- 25:53Actually, it was when we went to see Carrie in the Love Letters
- 25:56Tour, and I wore these black leggings and a jumper.
- 26:03Yeah, always. And I was sat on your sofa and
- 26:06you were like, OK, it's time to go, 'cause you were taking me to
- 26:09the train station. Yeah.
- 26:11Like it was on on a way out and I remember looking down and I
- 26:14went to. Here's a leg roller for you.
- 26:17I went to stroke balloon and it wasn't balloon as my leg.
- 26:20Yeah, and I've got black waggons.
- 26:23Yeah, because he literally just rubs up against you and then it
- 26:26just falls off of him and then you.
- 26:28I always say to people, never wear black to my house.
- 26:30Just don't wear beige. If you could wear beige or wear
- 26:32jeans because jeans don't get hairy.
- 26:35Never ever wear black there. You go.
- 26:38Oh. Dear, there you go.
- 26:39Well, you know, dogs. Dogs are not just for Christmas,
- 26:42they're for life. And we're very happy that we get
- 26:43to see Dennis on our Instagram screens as well.
- 26:46So thank you for sharing him with us, Fletchers, because if
- 26:50we can't, we can't, Yeah, we can't be part of your family.
- 26:52We can live vicariously through Dennis.
- 26:54Exactly. It's time for Song of the week,
- 27:00and this week's song is no disappointment.
- 27:04We are checking our rearview mirrors.
- 27:05We are changing the passcodes on all our phones and locking the
- 27:09doors. Because this week we are looking
- 27:11at Busted song Psycho Girl. Oh yes, we are here for the
- 27:31Psycho Girls. So we're going to get straight
- 27:33into it. I thought we'd just give our
- 27:35ratings and then I want to talk about the lyrics and the like,
- 27:38the story behind it. And then we've got a few stories
- 27:40of our own to share as well, haven't we?
- 27:42So let's, let's get to it. Give me a rating and a turn.
- 27:46What do you think and why? OK, this is a dodgy rating for
- 27:50me. OK, I'm going to give it a 5
- 27:53because I tell you I love this song but I also forget about
- 27:58this song. Yeah, it's quite forgetful.
- 28:01Yeah, I when I listen to it, I'm like, what a banger.
- 28:04But like I've just, it's just, I just forget about it.
- 28:10It's. I get you.
- 28:12Yeah, it's not. Lyrically, it's really good.
- 28:16Like when I listen to it, I'm like, oh, what a good song.
- 28:18But I wouldn't listen to it while I'm running, and I
- 28:20wouldn't listen to it when I wanted to cry, and I won't
- 28:22listen to it when I want to scream in the car.
- 28:24It's just one of those songs that's like very mellow.
- 28:27There's no need for me to go to this song.
- 28:31Do you know what I mean? I get you, I get you.
- 28:32There's no, like, vibe for it, is there?
- 28:34Like, what's no mood you're in? You've got to be in, like, a
- 28:37really strange mood to want to listen to this song.
- 28:39Yeah, I get that. Yeah.
- 28:42So I'd say 5. OK, I'm going to actually for
- 28:45once agree with you. I've also rated this live.
- 28:48I think for me, I think it's very samey.
- 28:54They are there is a simple yet effective song.
- 28:57I think that's what I wrote down because it is good.
- 29:00It is. You know, it does have quite
- 29:02effective lyrics in that we've they're very relatable and if
- 29:08not a little bit sexist, but you know, it's of the time a lot of
- 29:13psycho boys out there too. But it's OK.
- 29:16But I copied and pasted the lyrics out earlier so that I
- 29:19could have a little look at them.
- 29:20And I just want to for us to go through them a little bit
- 29:24because they already. Trained them and I.
- 29:27So I just. Read 1 and it was like
- 29:29everything I say she takes it the wrong way and I'm like is
- 29:31that about me psycho girl? I mean, it starts with she's so
- 29:37weird, it scares me. Yeah, same.
- 29:42Hilarious. I don't think she likes me.
- 29:46But then he says, and thinking of her name, it's driving me
- 29:49insane. And it's almost like they're
- 29:51like, this girl's absolutely fucking messed up, but I want
- 29:56her. Yeah.
- 29:58Do you know what I mean? Like, it's very strange.
- 29:59So that's the beginning. She's so weird, it scares me.
- 30:02I don't think she likes me, and thinking of her name is driving
- 30:05me insane. Then we move on to the chorus.
- 30:07She's my psycho girl, my psycho girlfriend.
- 30:10Everything I say, she takes it the wrong way.
- 30:12She's my psycho girl, my living nightmare.
- 30:16Yeah, it's about me personally attacked by James Bond.
- 30:22I just was like, you're living nightmare, why are you with this
- 30:25woman? She's everything I need, but I
- 30:28can't stand her. Stand her.
- 30:30Literally, I can't stand her. Written is this song if Imagine
- 30:36you were dating one of the band members at the time they
- 30:39released. I was just about to say, yeah, I
- 30:43was just about to say, imagine if, like, imagine if you find
- 30:46out that he wrote, like, Busted have written a song about you or
- 30:49James Bond has written a song about you, you'll be like, Oh my
- 30:51God, how cool. Which one is it?
- 30:52And it's Psycho girl. Yeah, I can't.
- 30:55Go to school for it's nothing fun it's not.
- 30:59Falling for you it's. Not meet you there.
- 31:02It's psycho girl and then obviously yeah she's everything
- 31:07I need but I can't stand her. The next verse again it's the
- 31:11same last two lines. The 1st 2 lines are I can't
- 31:14change her thinking but she's so good looking thinking of her
- 31:19name it's driving me insane again.
- 31:21So she's she's absolutely psycho, but it's OK because
- 31:26she's fit. She's fit.
- 31:27She's PHIT fit, so I can deal with it.
- 31:31I mean, I can understand that. I can get with that a little
- 31:35bit. Depends who it is, you know.
- 31:37I've put up with a little bit of annoying behaviour.
- 31:41From your cousin for a. While, and you know, he was,
- 31:44he's all right, he's easy on the eyes.
- 31:46So I can't say it's like it was psycho behaviour.
- 31:50It's just a bit of a Dick, but again, so yeah, thinking of her
- 31:55name is driving me insane. And then we go back to she's my
- 31:58psycho girl, got my psycho girlfriend.
- 32:01My favourite bit is the bridge because even though again, it
- 32:06still goes to thinking of her name, it's driving me insane.
- 32:09Which is literally every verse. And the bridge, It's the bit
- 32:12where he goes. We spent the night in, we
- 32:15started fighting. Since then, it's never been the
- 32:19same. It just makes me so happy.
- 32:22It's like, it's like an anthem, you know?
- 32:24And like you're like, you sing a song and you're just feeling
- 32:27every like inch of it. Every time I hear that bit, I
- 32:31love it. But then it doesn't actually
- 32:33make any sense. But this is what I mean, it
- 32:36shouldn't get to the bridge for you to start loving it.
- 32:38No, I know. No, that's why I rate it.
- 32:41If I if I'm completely honest, Ann probably being a little bit
- 32:44generous with A5. Oh, no, because I like it.
- 32:48I just don't ever choose to listen to it.
- 32:50When I listen to it, I'm like, oh, yeah, what a banger.
- 32:52But actually, I've never, I don't.
- 32:55Never in my, like, rememberable memory have I been like, oh, do
- 32:59you know what I really do? You know what I really fancy
- 33:02listening to Psycho Girl. So good.
- 33:07Oh God. Do you know what though?
- 33:10I, I, yeah, I do. It's not, it's not one of my
- 33:12favourites. It's definitely a lower ranked
- 33:15Busted song. I've got some Busted songs that
- 33:18I absolutely love. But this is yeah, it's down
- 33:20there, It's down there. I just think it's not it, it is,
- 33:25it is good of the time. It is of the time, like I said,
- 33:28you know, we would have said things like this a lot back
- 33:31then. Nowadays, to call someone a
- 33:33psycho girl, it's probably not very nice.
- 33:37I mean, calling someone your living nightmare and telling
- 33:40them you can't stand them is. I don't think that's ever been
- 33:42nice. Nice.
- 33:43No, but equally I felt like it was acceptable in the night in
- 33:47the late 90s early noughties. Yeah, if you were saying it to
- 33:50your friends, do you know what I mean?
- 33:51Yeah, maybe. Maybe.
- 33:54Oh, dear. But one thing I do love about
- 33:57this song is Charlie Simpson's voice.
- 34:00Can we just put that out there? Because he.
- 34:03Oh, just a moment. This is going to be a constant,
- 34:07like a constant theme through every Busted song.
- 34:11Just that it's like, oh, the songwriting is pretty good.
- 34:16Oh, it's a little bit boring to start with, but Charlie's voice.
- 34:20Charlie's voice is, it just makes it all so good.
- 34:23And you know me, I'm a big James Bond fan.
- 34:26I am Jamie till I die, and I love Matt.
- 34:28So it's not like I don't like their voices at all.
- 34:30They're very different voices, aren't they?
- 34:32James is like the cool. He's like the Tom Fletcher of of
- 34:36Busted. And then you've got Matt, who's
- 34:38a bit more like Rocky and he's a bit more like Danny.
- 34:41You know, he's got that raspy, like, you know, like he's got
- 34:45that interesting tone. Then you've got CC's just
- 34:49someone else. You can't compare Charlie.
- 34:51I know Danny is an incredible singer, and I'm not saying that
- 34:54like Charlie is better than Danny.
- 34:56That's not what I'm saying. But I'm saying you cannot
- 34:58compare their vocals. Like Danny's versatility is
- 35:02insane and his vocal range is mental, but what he can do with
- 35:06his voice is someone else. And it's definitely like, in
- 35:10that way, I think it is probably higher than Charlie's in terms
- 35:14of versatility. But Oh my God, Charlie's voice
- 35:18is like melted caramel. You.
- 35:20Know what I'm I will say I do disagree with you a little bit
- 35:24there. I'm like Danny till I die.
- 35:26However, Charlie, Danny is like, he can be sing song and he can
- 35:32be raspy and he can be tough and like, you know, it feels a
- 35:37little bit raw, but I've never heard Danny scream like I've
- 35:41heard Charlie scream. Ah, very true, very true.
- 35:44And you know what? That's because I don't listen to
- 35:46Charlie scream stuff. I know you're more into that
- 35:49sort of stuff than I am. And I forget that he does fight
- 35:52star and president and those sort of like more Rocky things.
- 35:55I just love him when he just sings his little and he's got
- 35:57that like, oh, that low. But you know what?
- 36:00That's what I. Like the vibration in his voice.
- 36:02Yeah, that's, but that's what I really love about a lot.
- 36:05So I listen to so well, as we all know, I think both of us
- 36:09have got quite a wide range of like music that we listen to.
- 36:13But I listen to a lot of like rock, metal.
- 36:17And one of my favourite things is hearing somebody that can be
- 36:20so aggressive and screamy do that like perfect slow song, but
- 36:26like not miss a beat. And that is literally Charlie.
- 36:31He doesn't miss a beat, ever. No, you're so you're so right
- 36:34that I completely agree with you.
- 36:35Do you know what? They're all just amazing in
- 36:37their own way, aren't they? And like, I think they're such
- 36:39overlooked bands. They really are.
- 36:41Like, I mean it's. Because they're pop and they've
- 36:43got a it's because they're they like start started off puppy and
- 36:48they started off with a like a teen heavy female teen fanbase.
- 36:53And for some reason the world just hates a girl fangirl.
- 36:57Oh God, seriously, get over it. Oh, don't get me on this.
- 37:00Do not get me on this. Do not get me on this.
- 37:03Because I, I always use the same, the same example.
- 37:09When I was younger, I was a belieber.
- 37:11I was like, right there. Everyone, of course I was.
- 37:15Everyone called me like, you know, names for liking Justin
- 37:19Bieber, and then he brings out a fucking album with Skrillex and
- 37:22then every guy likes him suddenly.
- 37:25And then I'm like, what? So he's cool now?
- 37:27He's cool now because boys like him.
- 37:29Yeah, exactly. So true.
- 37:32So true. Oh.
- 37:33My God. Anyway, yeah, sorry, don't start
- 37:35me off on that tangent. No, no, it's fine.
- 37:37I love it. I love it.
- 37:39So yeah, a bit of an interesting song, a strange one.
- 37:42Not my top rated, not my lowest, but yeah, I think 5 is a is a
- 37:45good rating for it definitely. But it also has sparked quite a
- 37:50lot of conversations between US and between some of you guys.
- 37:53So we put a post out last week of the Psycho Girl and how we
- 37:58are looking. We were looking for stories from
- 38:00you about perhaps your Psycho X's or you being the Psycho X.
- 38:05We had so many interesting stories and some of them really
- 38:08blew our socks off. I couldn't actually believe some
- 38:11of them were true, I'm not going to lie.
- 38:13We've picked a couple of our favourites to share because we
- 38:15also have to share our Psycho Girl stories.
- 38:18So we've picked 3 and we're going to take a turn to reading
- 38:22them out. So one that we received.
- 38:25This person said my first boyfriend used to take my phone
- 38:29away and lock me in his bedroom. My dad came to pick me up from
- 38:34Kings Cross station and lo and behold I wasn't there.
- 38:38My mum called his mum and asked where I was and she laughed and
- 38:41said I didn't want to come back, which wasn't the truth at all.
- 38:44What a Dick head. And then she's put in brackets.
- 38:46You can add that with a laughing face.
- 38:49She wanted me to say what a Dick head.
- 38:51What on earth locked you in his bedroom?
- 38:56That's just not OK. That's how weird.
- 39:00I mean, that's a clear, obvious control issue, right?
- 39:05Yeah, right. I wonder where that man is now.
- 39:08Yeah, I fear for the girl. That with a restraining order or
- 39:11two. Yeah, probably.
- 39:12I feel for the person that he's ended up with if he hasn't ended
- 39:15up with anyone, because that is absolute proper psycho
- 39:18behaviour. Taking your phone away is one
- 39:23thing. Locking you in his bedroom?
- 39:25I'd love to know. What?
- 39:26Your parents. What your parents thought about
- 39:28this if you did tell them? Because if I'd have told my mum
- 39:31or dad if something like that. They'd be marching up there.
- 39:34And literally, I can remember telling my dad that I'd been
- 39:36cheated on and he told me he was going to bring a shotgun down.
- 39:40Obviously he didn't and it's licenced, don't worry.
- 39:44But still, you know. But also like his, his parents
- 39:48must have been like freaks as well because they carried on his
- 39:52lie. Weird.
- 39:54So weird. Like why would lie?
- 39:58Because they were like, oh, she doesn't want to come back.
- 40:00Yeah, exactly. Like, what?
- 40:02Weird. I mean, they're probably just
- 40:04making up for their son's awful psycho behaviour, aren't they?
- 40:07Family of psychos. Yeah, he's obviously learned it
- 40:10from somewhere, hasn't he? So.
- 40:12Yeah, well, yeah, maybe that's how his parents got together.
- 40:15Exactly. Well, you never know, right?
- 40:17Do you want to read story #2? Yes so this one says my psycho X
- 40:24story is whenever I went out with my friends when he wasn't
- 40:28invited he would follow me around via social media AKA
- 40:32Snapchat location and find my friends and he would constantly
- 40:37ask me for photo proof that there was no men with me.
- 40:41That's right, no male friends allowed.
- 40:44I stayed with him for two years until I took off the Rose tinted
- 40:47glasses and realised that was no oh.
- 40:50My Lord above, that's not good. That's not good at all, is it?
- 40:55I mean that is not OK. No.
- 40:59This takes that, this or that like completely.
- 41:03Multiplied by 100 Yeah wow. It's the, it's the photo proof
- 41:09thing. I mean, following somebody on
- 41:12social media, looking on their Snapchats, things like that.
- 41:15I mean, if, if nobody finds out that you're doing that, then
- 41:17whatever. Like if the, if, if you're
- 41:20stupid enough to have your location turned on on Snapchat
- 41:24so somebody can see where you are all the time, then that's.
- 41:26Especially if you're doing something wrong like.
- 41:28Yeah, exactly. Equally fine, yeah.
- 41:32Yeah, I just think asking for photo proof that there's no men
- 41:35with you. How can you even do that?
- 41:37If you were with men, you'd just say go and stand over there
- 41:39while I take this picture. I was just, I mean, that's
- 41:42ridiculous thing. And also that's not that's not a
- 41:45thing. That's not a no Wow.
- 41:48I think that shows serious like lack of self esteem though on on
- 41:53the X's part because it's obviously more of a worry thing
- 41:57like and do you know what? But also, they stayed with him
- 42:00for two years, two years of having to have a relationship
- 42:04like that. That's rough man, and to this
- 42:07person who's been brave enough to tell us this story, I hope
- 42:10that you've never put up with that sort of behaviour again,
- 42:12because that is rough as rats, man.
- 42:13You deserve so much better. Well, but turn your bloody
- 42:16Snapchat location off. Well, delete Snapchat because
- 42:20it's fucking shit, yeah. Who needs Snapchat?
- 42:22I mean it depends how old you are I suppose.
- 42:24If you're like 1819 then it's OK, but if you're 30 like us,
- 42:27not a thing anymore. Literally.
- 42:31Not good. OK, we've got one more from
- 42:34another listener. So this one, this one made me
- 42:38laugh out loud when I read it. Genuinely had to read it twice.
- 42:42I was like, did she actually just say that happened?
- 42:46Hello. So basically I was with someone
- 42:50for a few years and we went to Mcbusted at Hyde Park, but he
- 42:54hated McFly. When we got there he started to
- 42:58accuse me of sleeping with members of McFly.
- 43:03I was like, I wish laughing face.
- 43:08That's the first part I stopped. I genuinely stopped in my tracks
- 43:12and thought, what first of all? Madness.
- 43:18This girl's obviously a big fan, but Busted McFly.
- 43:21I love that. If she was sleeping with members
- 43:23of the band, she ain't going to be stood in general admission
- 43:25with you, mate. She's going to be backstage
- 43:27waiting for them to come off sick, you know what I mean?
- 43:29She ain't messing. Around if she unless you never
- 43:31know, it could be Maura Higgins at centre saying you never know
- 43:35Shannon, we are not talking about Maura.
- 43:39We are not talking about Maura Higgins on this podcast.
- 43:43The Bottom Up. She said it, she said it OK but
- 43:49still, you know, weird. OK so the next bit was he was
- 43:53very horrible to my friends and ruined that whole experience for
- 43:56me. I had to pretend to stop liking
- 43:58McFly as he was very controlling about this and wouldn't let me
- 44:02go and see them. I was young at the time so I
- 44:05thought it was love in quotation marks.
- 44:09Thankfully I'm now with someone who doesn't care how many times
- 44:12I see McFly but my ex fully ripped up some of my McFly
- 44:16posters and ruined some of my merchandised.
- 44:19I learned not to be bothered what others think.
- 44:21As a McFly fan and McFly mean a lot to me.
- 44:25I mean my gosh fuck that's mentor.
- 44:27I've been fuming. Yeah, also so proud of you for
- 44:31finding someone after that that like loves you, who you are and
- 44:35lets. You.
- 44:36Have your little obsession because exactly.
- 44:40Oh, we're I could we're. All a little bit.
- 44:42We're all a little bit obsessed with McFly, don't worry.
- 44:45Yeah, we're all friends here. We're all friends here.
- 44:49Oh dear. So yeah, that was that was
- 44:52another one which I thought was was quite good.
- 44:54We do have quite a few to read, but that we're already at 55
- 44:58minutes of this podcast quite now.
- 45:00So as much as maybe we'll share some on our stories for you guys
- 45:04to have a read for those of you that have sent them in, thank
- 45:07you so much for sending in your stories.
- 45:09Obviously, everything's anonymous.
- 45:10If you ever want to share a story to be read out on the
- 45:12podcast, please send us Adm on Instagram or you can actually
- 45:16e-mail us at Galaxy Crashes Podcast at gmail.com.
- 45:21So as we've done everybody else's Psycho X stories,
- 45:25Shannon, did you want to dive into our past psycho stories?
- 45:30And when I say our, I mean me, because you don't really have
- 45:32any. I don't really.
- 45:34I really don't have any I like. I'm such a chill bean.
- 45:39I will mourn over you and just eat loads of cake until I stop
- 45:43feeling things like I love that. Yeah, stop.
- 45:47Feeling things. I'd love to hear yours though.
- 45:50OK, I mean, I've got some that I will not share on this podcast
- 45:54because my parents listen to this, so perhaps I'll tell you
- 45:59those after. But I do have I do have a couple
- 46:02of instances that aren't quite as bad.
- 46:05Shall we? Let's go with with a psycho X
- 46:07first. So I had an ex-boyfriend.
- 46:10We were together for a year and a half.
- 46:13We were like 17, long, long time ago.
- 46:16We actually moved in together into a little house, but
- 46:21actually the house I'm living in now with a roommate because we
- 46:24couldn't stay living in it's mum's for forever.
- 46:26And our friend we were quite good friends with and he was
- 46:28looking for somewhere as well. So we sort of all said let's
- 46:30move in together. It lasted I think about 3
- 46:33months. That was literally all but it
- 46:35was it was. But when we broke up, obviously
- 46:42the house that we were living in belong to my grandparents.
- 46:46So it was really awkward because I then obviously had to ask him
- 46:50to leave. He didn't want to leave.
- 46:53He didn't have anywhere to go. He used the excuse as I haven't
- 46:56got anywhere to go, I can't go back to my mom's, I've got no to
- 46:58go, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah.
- 46:59And I felt awful because I was the one breaking up with him.
- 47:01I felt like I had to sort of be a bit more lenient on it.
- 47:05So all of my stuff, like my belongings, everything was still
- 47:09being kept in the house because when he left I was going to come
- 47:12and live in here anyway. But I was actually living that.
- 47:15Store in my grandparents house so I remember coming in and
- 47:20getting some things and leaving my camera bag in this house
- 47:24where he was living and a few nights before.
- 47:28Bear in mind this was a good 5-6 weeks after we'd split, you
- 47:32know. We'd had a fair month or so
- 47:34apart and I'd gone to a skate park evening with my friend and
- 47:39it was like a bit of a get together with a load of mates
- 47:42and it was just a giggle. We were all like in our sleeping
- 47:45bags going down half pipes and it was hilarious.
- 47:47But there was a photo of me and I was sat next to another person
- 47:53who was male and we were having like photos as groups and then
- 47:59like all together. I don't know whether perhaps he
- 48:02had his arm on my shoulder or like we were leaning on each
- 48:05other. I don't know.
- 48:05She. Was like chilling.
- 48:07Yeah, there was nothing like romantic about the photo.
- 48:11Like it was genuinely just a very chill picture.
- 48:14Well this this person had then found my camera in the house and
- 48:21spent time sat going through all of the photos on my camera.
- 48:24He then rang me while I was at work.
- 48:26I used to clean for a little little old lady up in the
- 48:29village next to our SO. I used to walk to work and walk
- 48:32home. He rang me screaming down the
- 48:35phone saying that I needed to come home, that he needed to see
- 48:39me, needed to speak to me. He was like, I can't believe you
- 48:42would do this to me. And I was like, dude, we're not
- 48:46together. Like this is really weird.
- 48:48Anyway, I started walking home because I was thinking of him
- 48:51running around my grandparents like garden or you know, area
- 48:55where they were living because they live next door to where we
- 48:57were living and like, you know, just being crazy.
- 49:01So I started walking home and then he came along the road in
- 49:05his car by reminder there's no pavements.
- 49:07This road is like quite a bendy little Rd is not good.
- 49:11Absolutely flooring it around this corner.
- 49:13And he came around the corner so fast then saw me that he slammed
- 49:16his brakes on and pulled his handbrake so hard that he
- 49:19actually ripped his handbrake out of the car.
- 49:24And I remember he was like get in the car.
- 49:27And I was like OK, like calm down.
- 49:30I got in the car and he was like you've just made me break my
- 49:33car. I was like, I haven't done
- 49:35anything here. Oh my goodness.
- 49:36You did that, you're the person going mental.
- 49:39We're not together anymore. Also get the fuck out of my
- 49:43house. Yeah, literally off your box.
- 49:46Move out. I've had enough now.
- 49:49And yeah, it was just, it was just a bit mental, like it was
- 49:53really crazy. And that wasn't, that wasn't the
- 49:55only time it had happened. He found my he went through my
- 50:00phone at one point and found a message that he didn't like and
- 50:05it again, we were not together. And it wasn't like a crazy
- 50:09message. It was just maybe I was being a
- 50:11bit flirtatious with someone. I don't know.
- 50:13I was 18 who cares? And I was actually having a
- 50:18coffee catch up with one of my old friends from school and he
- 50:21turned up at this coffee day and.
- 50:23Was like, Oh my goodness. Stormed in and was like, I need
- 50:25to speak to you outside. And I was just like, and you
- 50:28know what? He was a really nice guy.
- 50:29Like he genuinely this was like the only time.
- 50:32You're not selling that to him. I'm really not.
- 50:34But like he was, he was really nice at the beginning and like I
- 50:38felt bad for sort of like breaking his heart, you know?
- 50:40But like at the same time, like that was just uncalled for.
- 50:44It's just a little bit mental. And now I look back in now, I
- 50:47was like, gosh, that really was a bit psycho.
- 50:51But he did finally move out my house.
- 50:53He did leave dirty dishes in my dishwasher for like 6 weeks or
- 50:57something and it ended up having to be chucked away because it
- 50:59was so bad. It was pretty rough.
- 51:01But you know, if that's all it took to get him out, at least I
- 51:04got him out in the end. All it took.
- 51:08Yeah, exactly. That's my Psycho X story.
- 51:10I I've probably had my fair share of being a bit of a psycho
- 51:16gal. Really.
- 51:17Oh my. Goodness, I'm ready.
- 51:19Mainly when I was younger. So I was with somebody for quite
- 51:26a long time, five years I think nearly in total.
- 51:29But at the beginning he's, he was a bit of a Playboy.
- 51:33He was a bit of a a bit of a dickhead.
- 51:35He would put a bit of a facade on in front of his friends where
- 51:40he almost acted like I didn't exist.
- 51:42It was very, very strange. Bear in mind, we were.
- 51:44Like firstly fell end. Yeah, well, exactly.
- 51:48We were together, like we were officially together, like I'd
- 51:51bet his parents and he'd met mine and it, but on a night out,
- 51:55it was genuine. He would actually ignore me.
- 51:58It was very, very weird. We'd be walking around like we
- 52:02used to go to this club in Penzance called Sound, which was
- 52:06pretty fun. I think you probably went there
- 52:07with us at some point, Chan. It was a cool.
- 52:10It was a cool place. I used to work there as the
- 52:13camera person there for a while, but I can remember vividly him
- 52:17like walking past me with his friends and like not even
- 52:20looking me in the eye, like just walking past me.
- 52:23And I'd like grab his arm or like, try to say like, hey.
- 52:26And like, like he'd invited me out to be there with him and his
- 52:30friends. And I was there with him and his
- 52:31friend and maybe like one of my friends who was probably off
- 52:35having fun and meeting people and, you know, and I was just
- 52:39like, what the fuck? And I remember one night after
- 52:42like weeks and weeks of this happening, I just had a fucking
- 52:44knife of it. And I was like, I like, I
- 52:47remember he was inside. I remember grabbing him and
- 52:49pulling him outside. And I was like, I got a bit
- 52:52upset because I was like, you're just like, what is this?
- 52:55Like you're ignoring me. And then the next day you're all
- 52:58over me and you're like, oh, I really like you.
- 53:00And, you know, you're inviting me to your parents.
- 53:02And what the fuck? Like, how can you explain that?
- 53:07It doesn't make sense. So I worked out it was obviously
- 53:10always when we were drinking but he he got really pissy with me
- 53:15for crying and his mates used to take the piss out of me.
- 53:18They even wrote a tweet about me once that I saw and they didn't
- 53:21tag me or anything but I remember seeing it and it said
- 53:24she doesn't know how to party, she just knows how to cry.
- 53:26And I was like. Oh my goodness.
- 53:29Bear in mind these boys were like 19/20/21 like he was four
- 53:33years older than me, I was 18 so.
- 53:35He was 20. That sounds like that.
- 53:38Sounds like if I ever bought an album out, that would be my
- 53:40album title. I mean, they were very accurate.
- 53:46They're talking about me now. I really don't know how to
- 53:49party. I did a few years later and I.
- 53:51Have, and I really do know how to cry.
- 53:53Yeah, I really do. But it was very it was just so
- 53:57strange and he came out he was pissed off because I was crying,
- 54:00his friends were taking the piss out of me and he decided he was
- 54:02going to walk home. Now bear in mind he lived in
- 54:05Hale Penzance is a 20 minute drive and he was going to walk
- 54:09home. It was like 8-9 miles.
- 54:12It was going to take hours. He started walking away and I
- 54:16was just like like stop walking away from me, stop ignoring me
- 54:19actually answer me. And I grabbed his hoodie as he
- 54:23was walking away and he like he pulled so hard that it like
- 54:26ripped the hood of his hoodie. 10 minutes later, the police
- 54:32turned up. Oh my God.
- 54:35And they were like, I was crying and I was like shouting after
- 54:38him. And he was just, again, I was
- 54:39just trying to follow him and he was just ignoring me.
- 54:41And they were like, you need to talking to me.
- 54:44You need to go and sit down. You need to go and calm down.
- 54:46And I was like, I was like, why are you talking to me?
- 54:48I was like, he's the problem here.
- 54:50And they were like, no, we've been told you're the aggressor.
- 54:54Aggressor. Which is so funny because I'm.
- 54:57Like the most aggressive person in the whole world, Taylor the
- 55:00aggressor. Taylor, the psycho girl
- 55:02aggressor. And that was me.
- 55:04And that's what men do to your brain.
- 55:07They make you feel like you're the problem and they make you
- 55:11the problem. Because if he did just turn
- 55:13around and had a conversation with me about what had happened
- 55:16or not, ignored me in the 1st place, considering that we'd
- 55:19been seeing each other for at least four or five months at
- 55:21that point, then I wouldn't have got so pissed off that I grabbed
- 55:24his hoodie and it ripped, do you know what I mean?
- 55:26Like that was it? Like it really wasn't that much
- 55:28of an issue. Probably should say that
- 55:31specific person went on to cheat on me in that exact club where
- 55:35my friends worked. So that worked out really well
- 55:37for him, just putting that. What a great guy.
- 55:40Well, to be honest, listening to that story, I don't think that
- 55:43makes you sound like a psycho girl.
- 55:44I think that makes you sound like a very normal girl because
- 55:47I mean, I'm not a psycho ex-girlfriend and I would have
- 55:50done the same thing, so. I felt very psycho at the time,
- 55:52I think. I think his friends made me feel
- 55:54really psycho because. They yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 55:56It sounds like, yeah, it sounds like a bit gaslighting you into
- 56:01thinking you are. Literally, and now like as well,
- 56:04looking back on it now as as a 30 year old, 33 year old nearly,
- 56:09it was so toxic. It was so toxic.
- 56:11It was vile. And and I don't think I really
- 56:14realised how toxic it was because that first year was so
- 56:18bad. I always like I forgot about it.
- 56:21I just sort of because it got better after that that I sort of
- 56:24forgot that that all happened and like it was doomed from the
- 56:27beginning. Do you know what I mean?
- 56:30I put up with a lot of shit that I shouldn't have part where then
- 56:33actually, I'm so glad that it was me that sort of decided to
- 56:37to call an end to it in the end. And and again, it was it wasn't
- 56:41a nice thing to have to go through.
- 56:43It's never nice to have to break up with someone, but equally I
- 56:46put up with a lot of shit from that person and I deserved
- 56:50better. And now I've got.
- 56:51Better. Silver Linings.
- 56:56But yeah, I was the psycho girl. So there we go.
- 56:58Psycho X and Psycho Girl Tay, that's me.
- 57:05Thank you all for being here. Thank you for listening to U.S.
