- 0:19Speaker 3: Yes.
- 0:20Speaker 4: She brought me a birthday present for you yesterday.
- 0:22Speaker 2: Okay.
- 0:23Speaker 5: I don't understand why. It's still like a month away.
- 0:27Speaker 4: I don't either.
- 0:28Speaker 2: And she goes, you can give it to him now
- 0:29Speaker 2: or you can wait until his birthday. And I went,
- 0:31Speaker 2: I don't want to hold on to this.
- 0:33Speaker 4: My animals will get it because, you know, you've been
- 0:35Speaker 4: to my house. I have four dogs, four cats.
- 0:37Speaker 5: And like 100 other animals.
- 0:39Speaker 2: The birds won't be in the house to get it.
- 0:41Speaker 2: I'm not worried about that. I'm worried about my dog.
- 0:43Speaker 2: My dogs destroy everything.
- 0:45Speaker 5: They are. They are kind of crazy.
- 0:47Speaker 3: Yes.
- 0:47Speaker 4: Yeah. So I'm bringing it to you. I forgot to
- 0:51Speaker 4: bring it today. I'll bring it. Monday as long.
- 0:55Speaker 2: As it's not destroyed by Monday I hope so look
- 0:57Speaker 2: any I have something else for like a really important
- 1:01Speaker 2: event that I'm holding on to that's for a silent
- 1:03Speaker 2: auction that I'm a part of.
- 1:05Speaker 4: And they were like oh just bring it to.
- 1:07Speaker 2: Us next week do you know how stressed out I.
- 1:09Speaker 4: Am having to hold this for a week I'm like
- 1:11Speaker 4: are you sure you don't want me to bring it
- 1:12Speaker 4: to you right now.
- 1:14Speaker 6: They should have trusted somebody else to hold it I
- 1:15Speaker 6: have to hide stuff.
- 1:16Speaker 2: In my closet anyway it's like kids but with teeth
- 1:21Speaker 2: that chew up everything Kids get into everything.
- 1:24Speaker 5: Yeah, but not the same.
- 1:26Speaker 4: You don't know. Anyway, good morning.
- 1:28Speaker 2: Thank you for being here. Call the show if you want.
- 1:31Speaker 4: 833-501-BAMA is the number. Happy Friday. It's what the hell headlines.
- 1:36Speaker 4: What the hell are you talking about?
- 1:38Speaker 1: On the Alabama show.
- 1:41Speaker 2: A man stole a fire truck while his own house
- 1:44Speaker 2: was burning down.
- 1:45Speaker 7: Wow.
- 1:47Speaker 5: Why would you do that? That doesn't even make any sense.
- 1:50Speaker 2: So a New Hampshire man was arrested Tuesday after stealing
- 1:52Speaker 2: a fire truck while crews battled a fire at his
- 1:55Speaker 2: own home. Nestor Roman, 30 years old, was not inside
- 1:58Speaker 2: the home when the firefighters got there. He jumped into
- 2:01Speaker 2: the fire engine, drove off, and while running, he hit
- 2:04Speaker 2: a second fire engine, drove over water supply lines. He
- 2:08Speaker 2: barely missed three firefighters. He stopped at a house a
- 2:11Speaker 2: few miles away and then tried to go through the
- 2:13Speaker 2: back door of the.
- 2:14Speaker 4: Home before the.
- 2:16Speaker 2: state police troopers got him and now he has charges
- 2:20Speaker 2: of reckless conduct with a deadly weapon theft by unauthorized take.
- 2:24Speaker 4: He's in trouble. He's got a lot of charges.
- 2:27Speaker 1: What the hell? Super easy trivia with the Alabama show.
- 2:33Speaker 4: Shelby, good morning. Where are you calling from?
- 2:35Speaker 7: Warrior. Awesome.
- 2:37Speaker 4: Where are you driving at in Warrior right now? I'm
- 2:39Speaker 4: driving towards Liberty Park for work. Okay, awesome.
- 2:42Speaker 1: I love Warrior.
- 2:43Speaker 2: Warrior, there's a new Like smoothie and fruit, like fruit
- 2:46Speaker 2: smoothie place in Warrior?
- 2:47Speaker 4: Do you know what I'm talking about?
- 2:49Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 2:49Speaker 4: Have you been there? Yeah, on Main Street.
- 2:51Speaker 8: Yes.
- 2:51Speaker 4: Have you been there?
- 2:52Speaker 9: No, I haven't. I've heard it's pretty good, though.
- 2:54Speaker 7: I know.
- 2:54Speaker 2: I keep driving by it and want to stop. I
- 2:57Speaker 2: think I'll stop this weekend.
- 2:59Speaker 4: Okay.
- 2:59Speaker 3: You should.
- 3:00Speaker 4: Shelby, are you calling to play Super Easy Trivia?
- 3:02Speaker 2: I am.
- 3:03Speaker 10: All right.
- 3:04Speaker 2: I'll ask the questions. Producer Blake is your lifeline. Let's
- 3:07Speaker 2: get you these tickets to rock the South. Question number one, Shelby.
- 3:10Speaker 2: How many letters are.
- 3:11Speaker 4: In the alphabet?
- 3:12Speaker 11: 36.
- 3:13Speaker 7: 36.
- 3:15Speaker 4: Would you like to use Producer Blake?
- 3:16Speaker 10: Oh, yes, please Ten less, it's 26 26 is it
- 3:22Speaker 10: Next one, Shelby What sound do kittens make when they
- 3:27Speaker 10: are mad?
- 3:31Speaker 4: I'll take it. That was mean. I was looking for
- 3:36Speaker 4: they hiss, but I'll take the meow.
- 3:39Speaker 5: I like that answer better.
- 3:40Speaker 4: Thank you. Can you do that one more time?
- 3:43Speaker 2: No, no.
- 3:44Speaker 5: Meow.
- 3:46Speaker 7: Okay.
- 3:46Speaker 4: Shelby, last one for the win. A group of fish
- 3:49Speaker 4: is called a what?
- 3:50Speaker 10: School.
- 3:51Speaker 4: That's it.
- 3:52Speaker 7: No.
- 4:02Speaker 4: Congratulations, Shelby. You just won Super Easy Trivia.
- 4:05Speaker 3: Thank you.
- 4:06Speaker 8: It's three things you need to know with the Alabama Show.
- 4:10Speaker 2: Next week, we're going to have some hot weather all
- 4:13Speaker 2: over again.
- 4:14Speaker 4: So get ready for another heat wave.
- 4:16Speaker 2: By next Friday, it's supposed to get up to 97 degrees.
- 4:19Speaker 2: So heat index is, of course, going to be over 100.
- 4:22Speaker 2: So make sure you stay hydrated. You keep a watch
- 4:24Speaker 2: on the weather. If you work outside, take plenty of breaks.
- 4:26Speaker 2: Make sure you get in some AC and drink.
- 4:28Speaker 4: A lot of water.
- 4:29Speaker 2: Olivia Rodrigo has her own Baja Blast at Taco Bell now.
- 4:33Speaker 2: It's a pink tropical lime drink inspired by the name
- 4:36Speaker 2: of her last album. It's called You Seem Pretty Pink
- 4:39Speaker 2: for a Baja Blast, and you'll be able to get
- 4:41Speaker 2: it starting September 24th. There's a petition to rename Nashville,
- 4:46Speaker 2: the Nashville airport, after Dolly Parton, and it's blown up
- 4:49Speaker 2: after she passed away. Like, the petition started before she passed.
- 4:52Speaker 2: Now it's passed 127,000 signatures.
- 4:55Speaker 5: I fully support it. I love that.
- 4:57Speaker 2: Tennessee State Senator Todd Warner pledged to introduce legislation supporting
- 5:02Speaker 2: the name change airport, but board members have noted that
- 5:05Speaker 2: current bylaws prohibit renaming the airport for somebody unless they
- 5:10Speaker 2: have been dead for at least two years.
- 5:12Speaker 4: So if they do, we've got to wait two years.
- 5:14Speaker 2: But they are honoring Dolly this weekend by lighting their
- 5:16Speaker 2: parking garages pink.
- 5:18Speaker 5: It still works.
- 5:19Speaker 6: I love that they're trying to do this for her, though.
- 5:21Speaker 5: I really do.
- 5:21Speaker 9: I do, too.
- 5:22Speaker 4: That's three things you need to know. More at thealabamashow.com.
- 5:27Speaker 1: The Alabama Show on demand.
- 5:29Speaker 5: Amazing.
- 5:29Speaker 1: Free on the iHeartRadio app.
- 5:31Speaker 4: Good morning, Everett. What's your issue for Ask Alabama?
- 5:34Speaker 7: So my girlfriend broke up with me, but she still
- 5:38Speaker 7: wants to move in with me.
- 5:39Speaker 5: Oh, no.
- 5:40Speaker 2: That's why we do Ask Alabama. If you ever have
- 5:42Speaker 2: an issue, call the show. 833-501-BAMA is the number to
- 5:46Speaker 2: call in. Why does your girlfriend still want to move
- 5:49Speaker 2: in with you?
- 5:49Speaker 4: What's going on?
- 5:51Speaker 7: So my girlfriend and I have been on and off
- 5:53Speaker 7: again for the past two years or so. Okay. And
- 5:56Speaker 7: a couple of days ago, she asked me to go
- 5:59Speaker 7: with her friends to her, to her friend's birthday party.
- 6:02Speaker 7: And we all went together, but she had to work
- 6:05Speaker 7: the next day. So I gave her my keys to
- 6:07Speaker 7: go home and asked if it was okay if I
- 6:09Speaker 7: stay out with her friend group.
- 6:11Speaker 1: Okay.
- 6:12Speaker 7: Long story short, I took too long to come home
- 6:15Speaker 7: and we ended up fighting and there, about that. And
- 6:20Speaker 7: we broke up.
- 6:21Speaker 1: Well, she broke up with me.
- 6:22Speaker 4: So tell me about moving in.
- 6:24Speaker 2: So before the fight and before she broke up with you,
- 6:27Speaker 2: y'all were planning on moving in together? Yeah.
- 6:29Speaker 7: I mean, we've been planning on moving in together because
- 6:31Speaker 7: her rental agreement expires and she wasn't able to find
- 6:34Speaker 7: a place yet. So I did say... to her that
- 6:37Speaker 7: like because we're broken up it wouldn't be a great
- 6:40Speaker 7: idea for her to move in yeah because i don't
- 6:43Speaker 7: know i still have feelings for her and i don't
- 6:45Speaker 7: i don't know it'd just be weird for a couple
- 6:49Speaker 7: who's broken up to live.
- 6:50Speaker 4: Together now so what does she say she says i.
- 6:53Speaker 7: Should be a good human and let her let her
- 6:55Speaker 7: move in so she's got nowhere else to.
- 6:57Speaker 4: Go but i yeah i don't know what to do
- 6:59Speaker 4: Producer Blake.
- 7:01Speaker 6: I don't like that she's trying to twist your arm
- 7:02Speaker 6: into this. That kind of irks me. She said, be
- 7:05Speaker 6: a good human. People that usually say that.
- 7:08Speaker 4: Well, what are you going to do? Just let her
- 7:09Speaker 4: go live on the street? She literally, y'all have been
- 7:12Speaker 4: planning this.
- 7:13Speaker 5: It doesn't matter.
- 7:14Speaker 4: For her to move in. And when is her lease up?
- 7:17Speaker 4: It's the end of this month.
- 7:18Speaker 2: Yeah, so that's literally, she only has, like, not that
- 7:21Speaker 2: much time to find a place to live.
- 7:22Speaker 5: Well, that's her problem. She said, bye, see ya. That's
- 7:27Speaker 5: her problem.
- 7:28Speaker 4: Call the show. What would you do? Have you ever
- 7:31Speaker 4: had to live with an ex?
- 7:32Speaker 2: I know people that do live with their exes, and
- 7:34Speaker 2: I'm so curious to see how that goes.
- 7:35Speaker 4: 833-501-BAMA is the number. That's 833-501-2262.
- 7:42Speaker 1: You're listening to The Alabama Show On Demand.
- 7:46Speaker 4: 833-501-BAMA is the number to call the show. Good morning, Pam.
- 7:49Speaker 4: Where are you calling from?
- 7:50Speaker 3: Cenotopia, Mississippi. All right.
- 7:52Speaker 11: Awesome.
- 7:52Speaker 4: Pam, have you ever lived with an ex or do
- 7:54Speaker 4: you live with an ex now?
- 7:57Speaker 3: Yes, I have lived with my ex.
- 7:59Speaker 4: How did that go?
- 8:00Speaker 3: Great. It really went great. We were better roommates than
- 8:05Speaker 3: we were boyfriend and girlfriend.
- 8:07Speaker 2: Did y'all have separate rooms or did y'all still stay
- 8:09Speaker 2: in the same room?
- 8:11Speaker 3: No, we had separate rooms. In fact, he's my... My
- 8:15Speaker 3: ex is my daughter's godfather.
- 8:18Speaker 10: Okay.
- 8:19Speaker 4: Would y'all still bring home dates with other people? Like,
- 8:23Speaker 4: would y'all meet each other's dates? Yeah. Absolutely. Did y'all
- 8:28Speaker 4: still hook up when y'all were lonely?
- 8:30Speaker 11: No.
- 8:31Speaker 4: Are you lying to me?
- 8:32Speaker 7: No.
- 8:33Speaker 2: No, I'm not. Okay.
- 8:35Speaker 4: I couldn't do it. You are so much better than me.
- 8:38Speaker 4: I could not do it.
- 8:39Speaker 2: What did other people say?
- 8:42Speaker 3: We were together 23 years, and we split. I got pregnant,
- 8:49Speaker 3: had my daughter. He become her godfather, and her father
- 8:55Speaker 3: was okay with it. We all done Christmas together.
- 9:02Speaker 10: Girl, you are.
- 9:03Speaker 2: So much more mature than I am. I think some
- 9:05Speaker 2: of my ratchet would have come out of me at
- 9:07Speaker 2: some point.
- 9:10Speaker 3: In fact, I was friends with some of his girlfriends
- 9:13Speaker 3: that he brought home.
- 9:14Speaker 8: I could not.
- 9:16Speaker 4: I could not. Well, Pam, I love that. Thank you
- 9:19Speaker 4: for calling and sharing.
- 9:21Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 9:21Speaker 4: Have a good day.
- 9:22Speaker 2: I love the show.
- 9:23Speaker 4: Thank you. We love you, too. Thank you so much
- 9:25Speaker 4: for listening.
- 9:26Speaker 7: Uh-huh.
- 9:27Speaker 8: It's three things you need to know with the Alabama show.
- 9:30Speaker 2: Benson Boone's tonight at the Legacy Arena. So doors open
- 9:34Speaker 2: at 8. The show starts at 8. Doors open a
- 9:36Speaker 2: little bit earlier. But if you see me and producer
- 9:38Speaker 2: Blake walking around, make sure you say hi because we
- 9:40Speaker 2: would like to see you.
- 9:42Speaker 4: Tropical storm Dolly has formed in the Atlantic Ocean.
- 9:45Speaker 2: This is the fourth named storm of the 2026 Atlantic
- 9:48Speaker 2: hurricane season.
- 9:49Speaker 4: It was named before Dolly passed away. So no, this
- 9:52Speaker 4: is not named after Dolly.
- 9:53Speaker 2: But man, what a coincidence that it is hitting literally
- 9:56Speaker 2: the same week that.
- 9:57Speaker 4: She passed away.
- 9:58Speaker 9: I think.
- 10:00Speaker 2: Think there's something else at play here. Also, if you've
- 10:05Speaker 2: ever seen a UFO, you can now report UFOs. There's
- 10:09Speaker 2: a national UFO reporting center, and they say they've seen
- 10:12Speaker 2: over 800 sightings in the U.S.
- 10:15Speaker 4: So far this year.
- 10:16Speaker 5: I'm going to be honest with you.
- 10:18Speaker 6: If I take it with a grain of salt with
- 10:20Speaker 6: every single person that sees one, but I have seen one.
- 10:24Speaker 2: So if you want to report it, you can now
- 10:26Speaker 2: go to, here's the number you can call.
- 10:28Speaker 7: 1-833-SAWAUFO.
- 10:32Speaker 4: All right, hold on.
- 10:34Speaker 2: One 833 saw a UFO because apparently we're about to
- 10:38Speaker 2: start making contacts with aliens.
- 10:40Speaker 4: If you're following anything on TikTok, because disclosure.
- 10:44Speaker 5: We're right there.
- 10:45Speaker 4: That's three things you need to know. More at the
- 10:48Speaker 4: Alabama show dot com.
- 10:50Speaker 1: The Alabama Show. On demand. Free on the iHeartRadio app.
- 10:54Speaker 4: 833-501-BAMA is the number to call the show if you
- 10:57Speaker 4: have good news. We want to celebrate with you. That's 833-501-2262. Nicole,
- 11:02Speaker 4: good morning. Do you have good news?
- 11:04Speaker 9: I do have some good news.
- 11:06Speaker 4: Over the last.
- 11:07Speaker 9: few months, I've been waiting for a particular position to
- 11:11Speaker 9: open up. It requires a few licenses and certifications.
- 11:15Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 11:16Speaker 9: And I finally completed all my licenses and certifications. And
- 11:19Speaker 9: I was really, really excited. And I got to the
- 11:22Speaker 9: point where it was time to interview for the position.
- 11:25Speaker 9: And they switched the position role on me at the
- 11:27Speaker 9: last minute. And I was like, devastated. Because let me
- 11:30Speaker 9: tell you, I had my heart set on it. But
- 11:32Speaker 9: I was like, you know what? I'm still going to
- 11:33Speaker 9: go through the interview.
- 11:34Speaker 12: Because I didn't want them to say, well, she kind
- 11:36Speaker 12: of flaked out. I'm not sure if she actually really
- 11:38Speaker 12: wanted it, even though it was the wrong position. I
- 11:40Speaker 12: did the interview, and in the middle of the interview,
- 11:43Speaker 12: he said, you know what? I know they have you
- 11:45Speaker 12: for this position, but we actually think that based on
- 11:48Speaker 12: your skill set, you would be a better fit for
- 11:50Speaker 12: the other position, which was the original position that I
- 11:53Speaker 12: applied for that they said, you know, had clothes and
- 11:55Speaker 12: wasn't available.
- 11:56Speaker 9: So, girl, I am so excited. I got the position.
- 11:59Speaker 2: Woo!
- 12:00Speaker 1: Woo!
- 12:01Speaker 4: I'm so freaking happy.
- 12:03Speaker 11: Yes.
- 12:04Speaker 4: Okay. Can you tell me what the position was or no?
- 12:07Speaker 9: I can't go into too, too much detail, but I
- 12:09Speaker 9: will say it does involve a lot more closer engagement
- 12:14Speaker 9: with customers who are elderly.
- 12:16Speaker 12: Who would need additional assistance than they usually would get.
- 12:18Speaker 9: On the back end. So I can't really go into
- 12:21Speaker 9: specifics because of the type of job that it is,
- 12:23Speaker 9: but it really does have an opportunity for me to
- 12:25Speaker 9: make a difference where otherwise I wouldn't have been able to.
- 12:27Speaker 4: Look at you being so professional, too. I love this
- 12:31Speaker 4: for you.
- 12:31Speaker 5: That is awesome.
- 12:32Speaker 4: Congratulations. Thank you. Girl, do you like sushi? You want
- 12:37Speaker 4: a gift card? to Rock and Roll Sushi because they
- 12:39Speaker 4: love to help people celebrate. And I think this deserves
- 12:42Speaker 4: a gift card.
- 12:43Speaker 9: Oh, thank you so much. I love sushi. I'm not
- 12:46Speaker 9: going to be happy to hear that.
- 12:47Speaker 2: Thank you.
- 12:48Speaker 4: Thank you, Alabama.
- 12:51Speaker 1: You are listening to The Alabama Show On Demand.
- 12:54Speaker 4: I need your detective skills.
- 12:56Speaker 5: Okay, I love when we do this.
- 12:57Speaker 6: All right.
- 12:58Speaker 4: Thanks for listening to The Alabama Show. I'm Alabama with
- 13:01Speaker 4: producer Blake.
- 13:01Speaker 5: That's me.
- 13:02Speaker 4: So I'm on dating apps.
- 13:05Speaker 5: Okay.
- 13:06Speaker 4: And I'm on Bumble.
- 13:07Speaker 7: Yes.
- 13:07Speaker 2: And I matched a guy a few weeks ago, and
- 13:10Speaker 2: I just noticed that he responded. It's been so long
- 13:14Speaker 2: that it got moved down to my old conversations.
- 13:17Speaker 5: Okay.
- 13:17Speaker 2: And on his profile, he says, I'm an Irish guy
- 13:22Speaker 2: living in Alabama.
- 13:24Speaker 5: Okay, yeah.
- 13:25Speaker 2: So my message to him, because Bumble, usually women have
- 13:28Speaker 2: to message first. Yes, I think that's the only app.
- 13:31Speaker 4: Well, it's not like that anymore.
- 13:33Speaker 2: Now I'm in, but I messaged him first. And I said,
- 13:37Speaker 2: I know you probably get, I know people probably get
- 13:40Speaker 2: really excited about your accent. Are our accents funny to you?
- 13:44Speaker 2: Because I imagine he's got an Irish accent. And I'm like, yes,
- 13:47Speaker 2: this is going to be like, what's that Netflix show
- 13:50Speaker 2: where the girl travels back in.
- 13:52Speaker 4: Time and finds the Irish guy? I was like, this
- 13:55Speaker 4: is a movie.
- 13:55Speaker 1: I don't know.
- 13:56Speaker 4: He sent me a voice note.
- 13:58Speaker 2: And now I don't know if he's really messing with
- 14:00Speaker 2: me and he's not Irish and he's faking it or
- 14:02Speaker 2: if it's real.
- 14:03Speaker 5: Well, let me hear it and I'll tell you.
- 14:04Speaker 4: Okay, here.
- 14:07Speaker 5: How's it going? Well, your name down is Alabama. I
- 14:11Speaker 5: love that.
- 14:13Speaker 4: So we have been, what, 23 years now in the South,
- 14:16Speaker 4: 19 years in Alabama, so we are fairly used to
- 14:20Speaker 4: the Alabama accent now at this stage.
- 14:22Speaker 5: And I enjoy it.
- 14:22Speaker 1: I like it.
- 14:23Speaker 5: So that was your weekend.
- 14:27Speaker 6: The thing is, I think he's, it sounds, it sounds
- 14:30Speaker 6: like it's fake to an extent where there's like a
- 14:33Speaker 6: little bit of realness coming in. Like, it sounds like
- 14:36Speaker 6: he's overemphasizing it.
