- 0:00Speaker 1: An illegal alien from Guatemala charged with raping a child
- 0:03Speaker 1: in Massachusetts. An MS thirteen gang member from Al Salvador
- 0:07Speaker 1: accused of murdering a Texas man of Venezuelan charged with
- 0:11Speaker 1: filming and selling child pornography in Michigan. These are just
- 0:15Speaker 1: some of the heinous migrant criminals caught because of President
- 0:19Speaker 1: Donald J. Trump's leadership. I'm Christy nom the United States
- 0:23Speaker 1: Secretary of Homeland Security. Under President Trump, attempted illegal border
- 0:28Speaker 1: crossings are at the lowest levels ever recorded, and over
- 0:31Speaker 1: one hundred thousand illegal aliens have been arrested. If you
- 0:35Speaker 1: are here illegally, your next you will be fined nearly
- 0:39Speaker 1: one thousand dollars a day, imprisoned, and deported. You will
- 0:43Speaker 1: never return. But if you register using our CBP home
- 0:46Speaker 1: app and leave now, you could be allowed to return legally.
- 0:50Speaker 1: Do what's right. Leave now. Under President Trump, America's laws,
- 0:55Speaker 1: border and families will.
- 0:57Speaker 2: Be protected sponsored by the United States Department of Homeland Security.
- 1:00Speaker 3: Like when you said that Keith urban war, he didn't
- 1:02Speaker 3: tell where he got it from, like you would have
- 1:04Speaker 3: the search to know. Yeah, they googled Detroit versus everybody,
- 1:07Speaker 3: and then your guys website on Instagram page. Yeah, yeah,
- 1:10Speaker 3: you did. You trademark it at this point, So that's
- 1:12Speaker 3: when I'm working. So I'm in like I said, I'm
- 1:14Speaker 3: in law school at the time, and I talked to
- 1:18Speaker 3: one of my professors about doing it and they said,
- 1:20Speaker 3: that's simple, Like I can show you how to do it.
- 1:22Speaker 3: So sat me down, showed me the USPTO site and
- 1:25Speaker 3: made me an expert at.
- 1:27Speaker 4: Because it was just it's just matter put it in.
- 1:30Speaker 4: So I did it. I did our first two trademarks,
- 1:31Speaker 4: like versus everybody versus everybody.
- 1:33Speaker 3: So you trademark Detroit versus everybody and versus everybody versus everybody.
- 1:38Speaker 3: That's a little bit more complicated, right, because that leads
- 1:41Speaker 3: to anything to be versus That was the easy trademark
- 1:44Speaker 3: versus everybody.
- 1:45Speaker 4: I mean yeah, like they went through and it's just
- 1:48Speaker 4: a matter of having your specimens and all that stuff,
- 1:50Speaker 4: like the application type. So the specimens, it is like
- 1:52Speaker 4: you got to have proof that you have to use it,
- 1:54Speaker 4: that you're using that coms with the tags a few times.
- 1:58Speaker 5: But this is the interesting part because when you do
- 2:01Speaker 5: something so wide scaled, it usually becomes expensive. Was it
- 2:05Speaker 5: was it pricey to get I know Detroit versus Everybody
- 2:07Speaker 5: is very specific, but the university could be pretty much
- 2:11Speaker 5: universal anything. Yeah, it really is yours. So was it
- 2:14Speaker 5: was it pricier to do that one?
- 2:15Speaker 4: It's pricey, not upfront, but it's pricey on the back
- 2:18Speaker 4: end fighting all the seasons. So our legal fees. And
- 2:21Speaker 4: that's why we when we do anything licensing like we
- 2:24Speaker 4: do like a versus Everybody for somebody, like, we can't
- 2:27Speaker 4: do it for free because there's gonna be a lot
- 2:29Speaker 4: of like le legal stuff, paperwork and dealing with my
- 2:32Speaker 4: lawyers that's gonna go with that. So on the back end,
- 2:35Speaker 4: it's very expensive.
- 2:37Speaker 6: Time consuming, expensive, you know what I'm saying.
- 2:39Speaker 4: Frustrating.
- 2:40Speaker 3: So when you got put Detroit versus Everybody, were there
- 2:42Speaker 3: other people that started making Detroit first?
- 2:44Speaker 4: Everybody shirts? Yes, that happens day.
- 2:48Speaker 6: Like what you learned is that it's a whole, it's
- 2:51Speaker 6: a whole like industry of people that that's that's that
- 2:57Speaker 6: stand on the skirts looking at what's about to happen.
- 3:02Speaker 4: Yeah, those domain buyers like by domain, you know those
- 3:05Speaker 4: guys like they sit there and they do this on purpose.
- 3:07Speaker 4: That's what they do. Talk about how you guys double
- 3:10Speaker 4: with that it's so now, I mean, it's it's it's annoying,
- 3:14Speaker 4: but we I kind of settled in with it, like
- 3:17Speaker 4: I mean, at the end of the day, it's getting
- 3:18Speaker 4: the message out there, right. And then sometimes they returned
- 3:21Speaker 4: into opportunities like we had a situation with the USA
- 3:23Speaker 4: Soccer Women's soccer. Two of the players did a USA
- 3:27Speaker 4: versus Everybody and they were selling crazy. So we went
- 3:30Speaker 4: to them like, you say, look, this is our brand,
- 3:32Speaker 4: this is our our ip. We're not coming after you,
- 3:36Speaker 4: but like, let's just settle out on a deal. So
- 3:38Speaker 4: they settle. We settled with them, and they paid us
- 3:41Speaker 4: out and then we just let them keep going and
- 3:43Speaker 4: they was just they gave us a royalty. So sometimes
- 3:44Speaker 4: you get opportunities like that, like even with the NBA
- 3:47Speaker 4: that happened a couple of times, like they did annoy
- 3:50Speaker 4: versus everybody. We didn't ssume. We just said, let's just settle,
- 3:54Speaker 4: like pay us out and then give it to like
- 3:56Speaker 4: a charity.
- 3:57Speaker 6: And that's the thing is like if you the you know,
- 4:00Speaker 6: if they have a big name or you know, they're
- 4:02Speaker 6: like a team that they can't run, then it's a
- 4:07Speaker 6: lot easier and it's more successful on the end with
- 4:10Speaker 6: a payout. But it's like it's the you know, the
- 4:14Speaker 6: people that selling out their trump. They're the ones who
- 4:16Speaker 6: are like the half or they're just like it's just
- 4:19Speaker 6: tough and they know that, you know what I'm saying,
- 4:22Speaker 6: and they'll build their whole life around that. Like this
- 4:25Speaker 6: one guy, you know, I opened up email and he's like, man, hey, man, listen,
- 4:29Speaker 6: I know this is wrong.
- 4:31Speaker 4: Man, I know this is wrong, man, But I just
- 4:34Speaker 4: appreciate you.
- 4:34Speaker 3: Man.
- 4:35Speaker 6: You y'all help me get my daughter through preschool. Man,
- 4:37Speaker 6: Like I appreciate I mean through private school. And it's
- 4:40Speaker 6: like I don't know how to feel about that, you know,
- 4:42Speaker 6: like is it honorable for you to tell us that
- 4:44Speaker 6: you you know what I'm saying, Like, am I grateful
- 4:47Speaker 6: to the most hot that I was able to help
- 4:49Speaker 6: a child get through private school? You know, because at
- 4:51Speaker 6: the end of the day, that's you know, that's our funds.
- 4:54Speaker 6: But it's just a dirty game. That's what you realize
- 4:56Speaker 6: is that it's just it's dirty and you got to
- 4:59Speaker 6: fight it, whether or not you want to or not.
- 5:01Speaker 3: How much money do you spending legal fees?
- 5:07Speaker 4: It all depends like what's happening, Like We've been kind
- 5:09Speaker 4: of dormant the past. I would say two years ago

- 5:16Speaker 4: on top of the retainer erners. What's up.

- 7:08Speaker 1: An illegal alien from Guatemala charged with raping a child
- 7:12Speaker 1: in Massachusetts. An MS thirteen gang member from Al Salvador

- 7:24Speaker 1: some of the heinous migrant criminals caught because of President
- 7:28Speaker 1: Donald J. Trump's leadership I'm Christy nom the United States

- 8:04Speaker 1: border and families will.
- 8:06Speaker 2: Be protected sponsored by the United States Department of Home
- 8:08Speaker 2: mad Security, like at least fifteen k Yeah, because I'm
- 8:13Speaker 2: looking at it, I'm like, this is crazy, Like we're
- 8:15Speaker 2: paying Like in the lawyer, he's happy because he's but
- 8:18Speaker 2: it eats itself up.
- 8:19Speaker 8: Yeah, I ain't going for Like I wore this shirt
- 8:22Speaker 8: that you have on in Africa and we went to
- 8:26Speaker 8: Jamestown and with torn and we went to this art
- 8:29Speaker 8: district and the.
- 8:31Speaker 4: Dude he met my guy, that's my guy, Rashid. Yeah,
- 8:35Speaker 4: yeah he told you, no, I saw so he posted it.
- 8:38Speaker 4: She's my guy. When I when I when every time
- 8:40Speaker 4: I go to so I go to gan, I go
- 8:41Speaker 4: to Africa a lot, right, Rashid's my god. Met him
- 8:44Speaker 4: in the art in the art district and gave him
- 8:45Speaker 4: and his guy some shirts. I'll show you the picture
- 8:47Speaker 4: letter And now he's like he calls me like Shaun
- 8:50Speaker 4: Sean because we were posted do some events. So he
- 8:52Speaker 4: posted on his WhatsApp okay, and I had just given
- 8:55Speaker 4: you guys a shirts, and I'm like, how do you
- 8:58Speaker 4: know that guy? I sent him a picture everything. How
- 9:00Speaker 4: do you know? You're like, yeah, man about you? And
- 9:03Speaker 4: I wore It's crazy.
- 9:05Speaker 5: So that day I wore it and he took the
- 9:07Speaker 5: picture and obviously sent to you. But it made me think,
- 9:09Speaker 5: like internationally, obviously you find this domestically, but when you're trademarking,
- 9:14Speaker 5: because even in business, most people don't know that, right,
- 9:16Speaker 5: they think they trademark.
- 9:17Speaker 4: And I own this forever. But like, yeah, it's a fight.
- 9:20Speaker 4: It's a fight domestically.
- 9:21Speaker 5: But then you got to do a country, yeah, country too,
- 9:24Speaker 5: So like what how's that process been?
- 9:26Speaker 4: Obviously not as Yeah, this is the Africa verse everybody,
- 9:28Speaker 4: so I've been. So the trick is we have like
- 9:32Speaker 4: the we have an international trademark right for like e commerce, right,
- 9:37Speaker 4: so we can sell we own the brand, like no
- 9:39Speaker 4: one can sell the line. We can shut them down.
- 9:41Speaker 4: But when you go into different territories or different spaces
- 9:44Speaker 4: or different like countries, you have to assign it if
- 9:47Speaker 4: you're selling there. So I've been going like, as I've
- 9:49Speaker 4: been moving around, I've been assigning a trademark. So I've
- 9:52Speaker 4: signed it in Liberia, I did it in Ghana. I'm
- 9:54Speaker 4: in the process of doing it in Nigeria and South Africa.
- 9:58Speaker 4: So it's that's important. But really the main territories that
- 10:03Speaker 4: you need to be protected in is like the UK,
- 10:06Speaker 4: US and the EU because that's where they're like most
- 10:08Speaker 4: about said China a lot of confidence. You can't really
- 10:12Speaker 4: fight that.
- 10:14Speaker 6: What you do is like what you find out though,
- 10:16Speaker 6: is that if you can show that you have prior
- 10:18Speaker 6: usage in any of these areas, if you can show
- 10:21Speaker 6: that you have prior usage in any of these different areas,
- 10:25Speaker 6: then you pretty much won the battle.
- 10:27Speaker 4: Yeah, And then like we're talking about some deal in
- 10:29Speaker 4: Dubai right now, and I asked the lawyer, like, so
- 10:32Speaker 4: what about the trademarks. You're like, well, as long as
- 10:35Speaker 4: you get a business registration here, you don't have to
- 10:37Speaker 4: worry about that because they govern their their trade marks
- 10:40Speaker 4: and stuff tap it differently. So what I've learned as
- 10:43Speaker 4: I've even been going and signing, I'm like, as long
- 10:45Speaker 4: as I focus on US, EU UK and make sure
- 10:50Speaker 4: that's tight, everything else will fall in line.
- 10:52Speaker 3: So okay, so you have Detroit first, heavy body, what
- 11:00Speaker 3: what maybe you have the foresight to do just versus
- 11:03Speaker 3: every because versus Everybody's gonna be a much more broad
- 11:06Speaker 3: range situation as opposed to Detroit versu everybody. So who's
- 11:09Speaker 3: whose foresight was that to trademark or even envision versus
- 11:14Speaker 3: everybody just in general?
- 11:15Speaker 6: It was it was that was like, creatively, I always
- 11:20Speaker 6: want to do things that have legs, like you know
- 11:23Speaker 6: what I mean. Like one of my favorite shows is
- 11:25Speaker 6: like Seinfeld, and it's crazy to me that it's like
- 11:28Speaker 6: it's show about nothing, you know, but it's like it's seriously,
- 11:31Speaker 6: it's an amazing show. So I just really as before
- 11:35Speaker 6: I like Brainstorm, I'm like, okay, this I want I
- 11:37Speaker 6: want to have a place in everybody's closet, you know
- 11:40Speaker 6: what I'm saying, No matter the age, I wanted it
- 11:42Speaker 6: to be something that doesn't get still. You know what,
- 11:45Speaker 6: I'm saying, I want something that is reborn every year,
- 11:48Speaker 6: you know, and it's like our brand is you know,
- 11:50Speaker 6: even outside of fashion or just you know, fresh shit.
- 11:54Speaker 6: It's a battle cry for any sports team, you know
- 11:58Speaker 6: what I'm saying for any company in the industry. I've
- 12:01Speaker 6: never seen a brand, you know what I mean that
- 12:02Speaker 6: has access to as many different industries as we do.
- 12:05Speaker 6: And yeah, I just knew from the junt like, Okay,
- 12:10Speaker 6: if we can get this foundation with Detroit, then people
- 12:14Speaker 6: are going to look from the outside in and be
- 12:18Speaker 6: drawn to that that message because it's pretty much just
- 12:21Speaker 6: the the underdog message of everybody as a moment in
- 12:24Speaker 6: your life and what you're going to feel like you
- 12:25Speaker 6: versus everybody.
- 12:26Speaker 1: An illegal alien from Guatemala charged with raping a child
- 12:29Speaker 1: in Massachusetts. An MS thirteen gang member from El Salvador
- 12:34Speaker 1: accused of murdering a Texas man of Venezuelan charged with
- 12:38Speaker 1: filming and selling child pornography in Michigan. These are just
- 12:42Speaker 1: some of the heinous migrant criminals caught because of President
- 12:46Speaker 1: Donald J. Trump's leadership. I'm Christine Noman, the United States
- 12:49Speaker 1: Secretary of Homeland Security under President Trump. Attempted illegal border
- 12:54Speaker 1: crossings are at the lowest levels ever recorded, and over
- 12:58Speaker 1: one hundred thousand illegal aliens have arrested. If you are
- 13:01Speaker 1: here illegally, your next you will be fine nearly one
- 13:05Speaker 1: thousand dollars a day, imprisoned, and deported. You will never return.
- 13:10Speaker 1: But if you register using our CBP home app and
- 13:13Speaker 1: leave now, you could be allowed to return legally. Do
- 13:17Speaker 1: what's right, leave now. Under President Trump America's laws, border
- 13:22Speaker 1: and families will be protected.
- 13:24Speaker 4: Sponsored by the United States Department of Homeland Security,
