- 0:02Speaker 1: On scorn Us Australia. This is the winder Panalty Show.
- 0:08Speaker 2: Good evening and welcome to the Rita Panety Show.
- 0:11Speaker 3: Coming up tonight, One Nation sets its sights on David
- 0:14Speaker 3: Little Proud's seat. Patrick Carline and Michael Danby will join
- 0:18Speaker 3: me on the panel to cover the day's top headlines.
- 0:21Speaker 3: Business leader Chris Ghana why he's fighting back against the
- 0:25Speaker 3: corporate world's anti Australia Day push. Liberal Party backs Labour's
- 0:30Speaker 3: Haste Speech bill despite gaping flaws. Professor Johanna Howe explains
- 0:34Speaker 3: why the bill will do more harm than good, and
- 0:38Speaker 3: a top Us drama is taking on woke culture head
- 0:42Speaker 3: on I'll get Kosher Gator's reaction to Landman tackling the
- 0:46Speaker 3: excesses of the trans movement, and later in the hour,
- 0:50Speaker 3: comic Alex Stein explains why he's personally agreed about Nicholas
- 0:55Speaker 3: Maduro's arrest and left He's losing It features this arming lady.
- 1:03Speaker 4: You can just kill ACE agents. You know that you
- 1:05Speaker 4: can just kill them. They don't have to hold your
- 1:07Speaker 4: phone in their face.
- 1:09Speaker 3: But first, Pauline Hanson will attempt to unseat David Little
- 1:12Speaker 3: Proud at the next federal election. As One Nation looks
- 1:15Speaker 3: to grow their presence in Queensland. It comes just two
- 1:19Speaker 3: months after One Nation secured Little Proud's predecessor, Barnaby Joyce.
- 1:23Speaker 3: As We're reported last night, the latest News poll has
- 1:27Speaker 3: One Nation ahead of the Coalition in primary votes. A
- 1:30Speaker 3: senior One Nation source told News Corps the party had
- 1:34Speaker 3: finalized and agreement for an office space in the town
- 1:37Speaker 3: of long Reach, which is within the.
- 1:40Speaker 2: Little Proud's electorate.
- 1:42Speaker 3: Poulleen Hanson was asked whether One Nation could become a
- 1:46Speaker 3: viable alternative government at the next election.
- 1:50Speaker 5: I think what Australia is lacking now with both the
- 1:53Speaker 5: major political parties is leadership and people have got to
- 1:58Speaker 5: a stage they're fed up enough both putting us at
- 2:01Speaker 5: twenty two percent of the national poll at the moment
- 2:04Speaker 5: that says I've got a hell of a job ahead
- 2:06Speaker 5: to give me with my other colleagues, and we've got
- 2:09Speaker 5: to maintain that support and confidence from the Austraian people
- 2:13Speaker 5: that we can hopefully form government and too right, I
- 2:17Speaker 5: want to do it.
- 2:18Speaker 3: Joining me now as News Corps senior writer Patrick Carline
- 2:21Speaker 3: and former Labor MP Michael Danby, Patrick David littl Proud
- 2:26Speaker 3: holds a very comfortable margins around twenty percent. There was
- 2:29Speaker 3: a small swing to one nation to the last federal
- 2:32Speaker 3: election in his seat. Can they realistically unseat him?
- 2:36Speaker 6: Probably not, to be honest, twenty percent is a lot,
- 2:38Speaker 6: but it's what it symbolizes. If you look at that pole,
- 2:42Speaker 6: it found that almost one in two Australian voters intend
- 2:45Speaker 6: not to.
- 2:46Speaker 1: Vote for either the Labor or the Liberal Party.
- 2:48Speaker 6: That's one in two who won't vote for the government
- 2:51Speaker 6: in power of the day. And we're seeing that fragmentation.
- 2:54Speaker 6: We're seeing it with the Greens previously, but it's all
- 2:56Speaker 6: going to one nation at the moment.
- 2:58Speaker 1: Those numbers are huge.
- 3:00Speaker 6: The Liberals are in disarray and it's part of an
- 3:02Speaker 6: international trend as well. If you look at Britain you
- 3:05Speaker 6: see all those Conservative defections to reform.
- 3:08Speaker 1: I mean there is a real right leading push.
- 3:11Speaker 2: Oh absolutely.
- 3:12Speaker 3: I mean it's been apparent Michael. Internationally, the Liberal Party,
- 3:18Speaker 3: the Coalition have missed it. We've spoken about it on
- 3:20Speaker 3: this program for years, the fact that there are so
- 3:23Speaker 3: many people in this country who feel they're not properly represented.
- 3:27Speaker 3: And I think the Tories found that out in the UK,
- 3:30Speaker 3: the Libs learned zero lessons. If they remain weak and
- 3:34Speaker 3: direction lists, could you see one Nation gaining even greater popularity,
- 3:39Speaker 3: perhaps snatching a few more National MPs, and down the
- 3:44Speaker 3: track possibly a coalition between One Nation and the Nationals.
- 3:49Speaker 7: I think it's more likely that One Nation's influence will
- 3:51Speaker 7: grow in the Senate. I'm not sure because of our
- 3:58Speaker 7: preference system, that's where that we were going to see
- 4:02Speaker 7: one Nation win that many lower house seats, although I
- 4:05Speaker 7: think they will win some. Most significant thing about this
- 4:08Speaker 7: news poll and the Channel nine pole is that shows
- 4:12Speaker 7: if you combine the One Nation and Liberal National Party
- 4:15Speaker 7: vote that they've gone up several percent. The government is unpopular,
- 4:20Speaker 7: so I still think Albow with his ninety five seat
- 4:23Speaker 7: majority is likely to win, but he might get a
- 4:26Speaker 7: big shock with a very big swing at the next
- 4:28Speaker 7: election and Rita. The real thing to look for is
- 4:31Speaker 7: One Nation having the swing factor in the Senate. I
- 4:34Speaker 7: could see them getting as many as ten or maybe
- 4:36Speaker 7: twelve senators.
- 4:38Speaker 3: Well, when you saw that Demo's pole that came out
- 4:40Speaker 3: about a week before News poll, which also had One
- 4:43Speaker 3: Nation ahead of the coalition in the primary vote, they
- 4:46Speaker 3: looked at the two party preferred and when it was
- 4:50Speaker 3: Labor and One Nation, it was fifty to fifty. When
- 4:52Speaker 3: it was Labor and the Coalition, it was fifty two
- 4:54Speaker 3: forty eight in Labour's favor.
- 4:56Speaker 2: So we are seeing things.
- 5:00Speaker 3: I think a few years ago you would have never
- 5:01Speaker 3: thought a party like Reform could be created and be viable,
- 5:07Speaker 3: and here we are. Nigel Farage could be the next
- 5:10Speaker 3: Prime Minister of Britain and could pull in hands on
- 5:13Speaker 3: one day be Prime Minister.
- 5:15Speaker 1: Wow, that's a big apple.
- 5:17Speaker 2: I mean, she's in the Senate, but I could see
- 5:19Speaker 2: your having.
- 5:20Speaker 7: A majority in the Senate and determining Australian policy like
- 5:23Speaker 7: the Greens do with Labor. You know, they could easily
- 5:27Speaker 7: have ten or twelve senators and say to the Liberal
- 5:30Speaker 7: National Party or you have to go more right Woods.
- 5:33Speaker 3: Well, the Greens have pulled both the Libs and Labor
- 5:37Speaker 3: to the left for many years, so perhaps there's need
- 5:40Speaker 3: for a correction now. Last week we saw the chaos
- 5:44Speaker 3: of the Adelaide Writers Week. The festival backflipped on its
- 5:48Speaker 3: decision to uninvite anti Israeli author Randa Abdelhatar and in
- 5:55Speaker 3: the end.
- 5:55Speaker 2: Issued her an apology.
- 5:57Speaker 3: Michael, we had dozens of writers pulled out in protest.
- 6:00Speaker 3: We even had the former New Zealand Prime Minister just
- 6:04Speaker 3: Dern pull out. How do you see this saga and
- 6:08Speaker 3: how it concluded?
- 6:10Speaker 2: And also including.
- 6:12Speaker 3: Louise Adler's role in the whole catastrophe.
- 6:15Speaker 2: She was the director of Adelaide Writer's week.
- 6:18Speaker 7: I think it's sad to see that these people who
- 6:22Speaker 7: are the main perpetrators of censorship and hate speech turning
- 6:26Speaker 7: themselves into victims. If you watch the ABC and listen
- 6:29Speaker 7: to the Guardian, that's what they've become. They've changed the
- 6:31Speaker 7: narrative completely. In fact, they're the ones who excluded Tom Friedman,
- 6:37Speaker 7: the former agent to Michael Gwenda, has been trying to
- 6:39Speaker 7: get a guernsey at.
- 6:40Speaker 1: The Adelaide Writers' Festival.
- 6:41Speaker 7: He put it in the Weekend Australian this weekend couldn't
- 6:44Speaker 7: get a guernsey. The twenty four Jewish women have written
- 6:47Speaker 7: that really good book on the last two years called Ruptured,
- 6:51Speaker 7: Never Invited and Runder Rabbel Fattara. Apparently at the Perth
- 6:54Speaker 7: Riders Festival tried to exclude the musician Deborah Conway. So
- 6:59Speaker 7: the boots really on the foot and Comrade Adler is
- 7:02Speaker 7: really asked, been asked by the Premier and the Adelaide
- 7:08Speaker 7: Writers Board to be a bit more balanced, have a
- 7:11Speaker 7: few different people, that's the way we should do it,
- 7:13Speaker 7: you know. But she's refused, and she's stayed these provocations
- 7:17Speaker 7: and thanks to the mainstream media, she's been able to
- 7:20Speaker 7: turn herself into a martyr.
- 7:22Speaker 3: But these writers' festivals, Patrick, really are just left wing
- 7:27Speaker 3: talk fest. I was going to use a less polite
- 7:31Speaker 3: term than that, but really it's not about celebrating diversity
- 7:37Speaker 3: of thought or debate or even the best writers in
- 7:40Speaker 3: the country. It is a lefty talk fest, often funded
- 7:45Speaker 3: by our taxes, and.
- 7:47Speaker 1: It's often about activism.
- 7:48Speaker 6: It's about ideology rather than good writing or a difference
- 7:52Speaker 6: of ideas. And Michael, you put it very nicely. I mean,
- 7:56Speaker 6: what's happened here is you've got this very.
- 8:00Speaker 2: In.
- 8:01Speaker 6: The fashionable pro Palestine riders are in, the activists are in,
- 8:05Speaker 6: and a lot of really good writers have been sort
- 8:08Speaker 6: of completely booted off the schedule altogether in a way
- 8:11Speaker 6: that's not healthy.
- 8:12Speaker 1: There should be.
- 8:13Speaker 6: Lots of different views and there should be good debates,
- 8:15Speaker 6: and that's not happening.
- 8:17Speaker 3: It is not And Peter Malinascus, I think one a
- 8:22Speaker 3: few fans by backing the removal or Abdol Fhatar has
- 8:27Speaker 3: also caught a lot of criticism for it, but I
- 8:29Speaker 3: think in the end he's come out on the right
- 8:32Speaker 3: side there, Michael.
- 8:33Speaker 7: But what a weak board to disinvite then reinvited her.
- 8:38Speaker 7: Don't they have any principles? Don't they see what Runda
- 8:42Speaker 7: Abba Fatara is written? Don't they see what comrade Adler
- 8:46Speaker 7: was up to the whole time. I mean it's clear
- 8:48Speaker 7: from the correspondence that's been released that the board's been
- 8:51Speaker 7: struggling for years to have the Adelaide Writers Festival just
- 8:54Speaker 7: a little bit more balanced. What's wrong with aon Heireciali?
- 8:57Speaker 7: She appears on this station quite often on PE program.
- 9:00Speaker 7: She's a great writer, as you say, Patrick, And to
- 9:03Speaker 7: have her excluded, to have GWNDA excluded, to have all
- 9:07Speaker 7: of these people excluded because they don't sort the political
- 9:11Speaker 7: predilections of comrade Adler, it's just you know, unfair and not.
- 9:15Speaker 3: Whatsf Herciali would want to have any part with this.
- 9:21Speaker 7: Well, she didn't know it was as bad as it is,
- 9:22Speaker 7: just like Tom Friedman probably didn't.
- 9:24Speaker 3: Yeah, possibly, I mean, yeah, why someone of her standing
- 9:29Speaker 3: would want to get involved in the Adelaide Writers Festival
- 9:33Speaker 3: would be beyond me. And I just think about how
- 9:36Speaker 3: that looks. You've got a woman who survived an Islamist upbringing,
- 9:42Speaker 3: a victim of female genital musulation, who's had colleagues.
- 9:46Speaker 2: Murdered in this three three she saw it.
- 9:48Speaker 3: He needs security everywhere she goes because of extremists want
- 9:52Speaker 3: to murder her. And then she's been victimized by these
- 9:56Speaker 3: pack of hacks in Adelaide.
- 9:59Speaker 2: Are you hitting? I don't know why should even give
- 10:01Speaker 2: them a time of day now.
- 10:03Speaker 3: The massacre of protesters in Iran has served as a
- 10:08Speaker 3: warning of what an authoritarian regime can do under the
- 10:12Speaker 3: cloud of digital darkness. The Internet has been completely shut
- 10:16Speaker 3: off in Iran for days as protested suffered in silence
- 10:20Speaker 3: and patrick. Two days ago, internet access was briefly restored
- 10:24Speaker 3: in parts of Iran for a few minutes, and it
- 10:27Speaker 3: really revealed just a full scale of the horror there,
- 10:31Speaker 3: of the blood bloody crackdown.
- 10:34Speaker 1: Look, it's terrific.
- 10:34Speaker 6: I mean, you're talking about piles of bodies on street corners.
- 10:38Speaker 6: They're talking about wounded protesters going to hospital and being
- 10:41Speaker 6: executed because in the hospital yeah, being shot in the forehead.
- 10:46Speaker 1: I mean, this is off the charts.
- 10:47Speaker 6: This is as bad as anything we heard from October seven,
- 10:52Speaker 6: twenty twenty three. It is horrific, and the world has
- 10:55Speaker 6: sort of still buying, sort of let it happen.
- 10:57Speaker 1: Yes, where are the protests?
- 10:58Speaker 6: Where is the up rising against this rasime to say
- 11:02Speaker 6: this is evil, this needs to be treated and it needs.
- 11:05Speaker 1: To be fixed.
- 11:05Speaker 3: And this protest in Iran has been michael led by women,
- 11:11Speaker 3: and yet the feminist movement in the West has pretty
- 11:14Speaker 3: much abandoned these women. It is not interested in standing
- 11:20Speaker 3: with them. It's not interested in supporting these freedom fighters
- 11:23Speaker 3: in Iran and all those Free Palestine protests.
- 11:26Speaker 2: Where are they.
- 11:27Speaker 7: It's the same as with the systematic rapes that were
- 11:31Speaker 7: involved with the harmacetrocity on October seven. They tried to
- 11:36Speaker 7: ignore it because it doesn't fit.
- 11:37Speaker 1: In with their narrative.
- 11:38Speaker 7: Wouldn't it be better, reader if people just looked at
- 11:41Speaker 7: what was happening and took a stand on the basis
- 11:43Speaker 7: of what's right and wrong, have some ethics. That's terrible
- 11:47Speaker 7: to kill sixteen five hundred people in Iran, To have
- 11:52Speaker 7: pickup trucks standing on street corners in Tehran with heavy
- 11:55Speaker 7: machine guns shooting anyone who comes outside. This is outrage.
- 12:00Speaker 7: I hope President Trump is taking some action because I
- 12:03Speaker 7: think this is a hinge of history which should be moved.
- 12:05Speaker 7: We need to get rid of these people. They are
- 12:07Speaker 7: even causing terrorism here in Australia, as Azio said, with
- 12:11Speaker 7: that expulsion of the Iranian ambassador.
- 12:13Speaker 3: And we're having the same people who uncritically accepted Hermas's
- 12:17Speaker 3: figures of the death toll dispute the numbers and suddenly
- 12:21Speaker 3: you can't possibly know how many have been killed, and
- 12:25Speaker 3: you can't.
- 12:25Speaker 2: Possibly trouble stand against coming.
- 12:27Speaker 1: It's just good point.
- 12:29Speaker 3: Appalling before we go, just to have a quick look
- 12:32Speaker 3: at what Prince Harry is doing. He is suing another publisher,
- 12:35Speaker 3: Daily Mail, for fourteen articles that he says used information
- 12:40Speaker 3: that was unlawfully obtain.
- 12:42Speaker 2: You're right.
- 12:42Speaker 3: For the nine week trial at the Royal Court of
- 12:45Speaker 3: Justice in London on Monday, Associated Newspapers strongly denies there
- 12:49Speaker 3: was any unlawful information gathering and said the Duke of
- 12:52Speaker 3: Sussex's social circle was and was known to be a
- 12:56Speaker 3: good source of leaks or disclosure of information to the media.
- 13:00Speaker 3: What he got up to in his private life. Patrick
- 13:03Speaker 3: seems to be just having this mendetta against the media,
- 13:09Speaker 3: despite the fact that him and his wife don't seem
- 13:12Speaker 3: to have a job other than tell all interviews. So
- 13:15Speaker 3: whilst he's protecting his privacy and fleeing the UK, we've
- 13:20Speaker 3: got reality shows, We've got airing of dirty laundry and
- 13:25Speaker 3: endless lawsuits.
- 13:26Speaker 6: A nine week trial I sat through a long trials.
- 13:28Speaker 6: Nine weeks is a long time. You wouldn't choose unless
- 13:31Speaker 6: you are really committed.
- 13:32Speaker 1: It is weird. I agree with you. Why would you
- 13:34Speaker 1: go to this length?
- 13:35Speaker 6: And from afar, it's difficult to know do they actually
- 13:38Speaker 6: have any evidence of unlawful obtaining of information because if
- 13:43Speaker 6: they don't, I wouldn't have thought it's going to get anywhere.
- 13:45Speaker 2: No, it gives them something to do.
- 13:47Speaker 3: It seems to be their full time job, essentially to
- 13:50Speaker 3: cry to the media and then go through the media.
- 13:52Speaker 3: So good luck to you, Prince Harry Patrick, Carline, Michael Damy,
- 13:56Speaker 3: thank you so much for your time tonight. The Albaniezy
- 13:59Speaker 3: governments Hates Beach laws have passed the House of Representatives
- 14:02Speaker 3: with support from the Liberals and some National MPs. The
- 14:05Speaker 3: bill passed with one hundred and sixteen votes for and
- 14:08Speaker 3: seven votes against. The legislation states an organization could be
- 14:12Speaker 3: prohibited in order to protect the Australian community against social, economic,
- 14:17Speaker 3: psychological and physical harm.
- 14:20Speaker 2: But some Coalition MPs have questioned elements.
- 14:23Speaker 3: Of the hate group provision, including what could constitute psychological harm.
- 14:28Speaker 3: Professor Joanna Howe has raised these similar concerns and joins me, now, Joina,
- 14:34Speaker 3: what are the dangers of this legislation?
- 14:37Speaker 8: Reader? In my fifteen years as a legal academic, I've
- 14:39Speaker 8: never seen a piece of legislation more terrifying and threatening
- 14:43Speaker 8: to Australia's democracy. On the weekend, the Abanesi government said
- 14:48Speaker 8: that they were ditching the hate speech elements of the
- 14:51Speaker 8: law the any qualification provisions. But what we found out
- 14:53Speaker 8: today at ten am when it was publicly released, is
- 14:56Speaker 8: that they had inserted some of the worst elements of
- 14:59Speaker 8: this ill to the definition section in one one four
- 15:02Speaker 8: and so what this means is the bill actually criminalizes
- 15:05Speaker 8: hurt feelings. So if someone in the target group has
- 15:08Speaker 8: hurt feelings, experiences fear as a result of somebody else,
- 15:12Speaker 8: another Australian criticizing let's say, immigration from Islamic countries, and
- 15:16Speaker 8: that's a very reasonable position to take given that these
- 15:19Speaker 8: Islamic countries are not democratic. They do not allow freedom
- 15:22Speaker 8: of speech or freedom of religion. Christians are persecuted in
- 15:25Speaker 8: these countries, and in fact, in these countries women are
- 15:28Speaker 8: severely oppressed. So if an ordinary Australian criticizes that under
- 15:33Speaker 8: these new provisions, if a Muslim member of the Australian
- 15:36Speaker 8: community feels fear, then that person is a member of
- 15:40Speaker 8: a hate group and they could go to jail for
- 15:41Speaker 8: fifteen years. This bill will lead to ordinary, innocent, law
- 15:46Speaker 8: abiding Australians being sent to jail, which is something that
- 15:49Speaker 8: should never happen in a Western democracy.
- 15:54Speaker 3: Well, tell me about the definition of hate crime. Precisely
- 15:59Speaker 3: what constitutes a hate crime under this legislation.
- 16:03Speaker 8: So this legislation has been introduced as a result of
- 16:06Speaker 8: Bondai under the guise of Bondai, But many of us
- 16:10Speaker 8: are questioning how could they have drafted something like this
- 16:13Speaker 8: so four hundred five hundred page legislation so quickly. It
- 16:16Speaker 8: seems like the Abanzi government had this onslaught of freedom
- 16:19Speaker 8: of speech in their back pocket, waiting for an opportunity
- 16:22Speaker 8: like Bondai to use as a pretext for introducing it,
- 16:25Speaker 8: because the bill says that it's about targeting anti Semitism,
- 16:28Speaker 8: but it doesn't target radical Islam. In fact, any religious
- 16:33Speaker 8: faith leader, So any Christian pastor who says that we
- 16:36Speaker 8: shouldn't be having immigration from Islamic countries because it's so
- 16:39Speaker 8: antithetical to Western democracy or to Christianity, they can go
- 16:43Speaker 8: to jail as a result of this, and their entire
- 16:46Speaker 8: Christian church could be designated as a hate group, and
- 16:49Speaker 8: any member of that church could then go to jail
- 16:51Speaker 8: for ten years. So the way that the threshold has
- 16:54Speaker 8: been defined in one one four is to say that
- 16:56Speaker 8: if someone in the target group, a reasonable person in
- 16:58Speaker 8: the target group feel fear for their safety viz. Fear
- 17:02Speaker 8: for being harassed, well, then that is the threshold met.
- 17:05Speaker 8: And it's extraordinarily broad. They've thrown procedural fairness out the window,
- 17:09Speaker 8: so you can actually be designated as a member of
- 17:12Speaker 8: a hate group without any letter being written to you,
- 17:14Speaker 8: without any opportunity to appeal, without any opportunity to argue
- 17:18Speaker 8: your side of the story. Minister Tony Burk has been
- 17:21Speaker 8: given huge powers under this law, and it even applies retrospectively,
- 17:25Speaker 8: so those Australians who are marching for our country at
- 17:29Speaker 8: those anti immigration marches a little while ago. If there
- 17:33Speaker 8: was something there that was said that was against Islamic immigration,
- 17:35Speaker 8: well then you know this could apply retrospectively and the
- 17:39Speaker 8: members of those groups could be designated hate groups and
- 17:41Speaker 8: they could go to jail. I cannot believe reader, that
- 17:44Speaker 8: Susan Lee has done a dirty, grubby deal with the
- 17:47Speaker 8: Labor Party to vote for this bill. The Liberals have
- 17:51Speaker 8: completely let down and betrayed every single ordinary Australian who
- 17:55Speaker 8: believed that they were a party that stood up for freedom,
- 17:57Speaker 8: fundamental freedoms of speech, of religion and for democracy.
- 18:01Speaker 3: Well that can explain why one nation is soaring in
- 18:04Speaker 3: the polls, Joanna, do you expect to see these laws,
- 18:06Speaker 3: which you say are ready dangerous extended further with the
- 18:11Speaker 3: Greens wanting to see hate speech and hate group definitions extended.
- 18:16Speaker 8: A woman like Pauline Hanson, who I honestly believe is
- 18:19Speaker 8: one of the bravest women in the country. She has
- 18:22Speaker 8: been speaking against immigration policy that goes against Australian values
- 18:26Speaker 8: for decades now. But what this bill means is she
- 18:29Speaker 8: could go to jail because if one nation fights against
- 18:33Speaker 8: Islamic immigration. After Bondie then that they could be designated
- 18:37Speaker 8: a hate group and as the director of that hate group,
- 18:39Speaker 8: she could go to jail for fifteen years now, Pauline
- 18:41Speaker 8: Hanson has already been to jail because of Labor and
- 18:45Speaker 8: the Liberals joining together. They banned her from the Parliament.
- 18:47Speaker 8: She's not even in the Parliament this week. That's how
- 18:50Speaker 8: anti democratic and authoritarian the two major parties have become.
- 18:53Speaker 8: And Australians are waking up. We are seeing one Nation
- 18:56Speaker 8: and Pauline Hanson rising in the polls and I think
- 18:58Speaker 8: that we could have a see situation here in Australia
- 19:01Speaker 8: which is very similar to the Trump phenomenon in the
- 19:03Speaker 8: US and the Nigel Farage phenomenon in the UK. Because
- 19:06Speaker 8: people are sick and tired are There are over thirty
- 19:09Speaker 8: arrests a day in the UK over freedom of speech,
- 19:12Speaker 8: over things that people say online. And what the Greens
- 19:14Speaker 8: have said Rita is that this is not the end
- 19:16Speaker 8: of it for them. They want to see these freedom
- 19:19Speaker 8: of speech restrictions not just about race, but about gender
- 19:22Speaker 8: and about and about sexuality and so you know, you
- 19:25Speaker 8: might remember Julian Portius was hauled through the tribunal system
- 19:30Speaker 8: for nine months because of a transactivist, because he had
- 19:32Speaker 8: written a booklet that said, don't mess with marriage. He
- 19:35Speaker 8: put the case for traditional marriage between a man and
- 19:38Speaker 8: a woman. He was under these laws that are being
- 19:40Speaker 8: passed today when the Greens extended and I say when,
- 19:43Speaker 8: not if, because it will happen. When the Greens extended
- 19:46Speaker 8: to sexuality. That could literally mean that someone like Archbishop
- 19:49Speaker 8: Portius who took that stand, he could go to jail
- 19:52Speaker 8: for fifteen years. And indeed the Catholic Church could be
- 19:54Speaker 8: designated a hate group under this law. That's how draconian
- 19:57Speaker 8: it is and it has no place in the country.
- 20:02Speaker 2: Professor Johanna, how thank you so much for your time.
- 20:05Speaker 2: Thank you now.
- 20:06Speaker 3: While many corporates are shying away from publicly marking Australia Day,
- 20:11Speaker 3: the Faulkner Property Group, who own shopping centers around the country,
- 20:15Speaker 3: are proudly celebrating our national holiday. Chief investment officer and
- 20:20Speaker 3: founder Chris Gano says he hopes Australia Day can be
- 20:23Speaker 3: a source of unity after the Bondai terror attack and
- 20:27Speaker 3: is imploring other businesses to join him in celebrating our
- 20:32Speaker 3: country and a recent poll by the Institute of Public
- 20:35Speaker 3: Affairs validates that move, finding over three quarters of Australians
- 20:39Speaker 3: support Australia Day. On January twenty sixth, Chris Gano joins me. Now, Chris,
- 20:45Speaker 3: you've said you won't about to woke corporate bs. Tell
- 20:50Speaker 3: me why you feel so strongly about Australia Day and
- 20:53Speaker 3: how you will be marking the occasion across your shopping centers.
- 20:58Speaker 9: Well, firstly, Radit, thank you very much for having me.
- 21:01Speaker 9: There's two I suppose reasons. Number one is I love
- 21:03Speaker 9: my country, I respect my country. I was born here,
- 21:07Speaker 9: I am Australian. She only has, contrary to popular opinion,
- 21:10Speaker 9: one national day. And if we can't show her the
- 21:13Speaker 9: gratitude and respect on her national Day, the twenty sixth
- 21:15Speaker 9: of January, when the hell else can we do it.
- 21:18Speaker 9: It's either the twenty sixth of January or bust. And secondly, reader,
- 21:22Speaker 9: and more importantly, we own shopping centers. Our customers will
- 21:27Speaker 9: love shopping. Look, the shopping center is the EPI center
- 21:31Speaker 9: of the community. And if you think about what Australia
- 21:34Speaker 9: Days about, it's actually about community. And the shopping centers
- 21:38Speaker 9: are the EFPI center of communities and you think everything
- 21:42Speaker 9: goes on in the shopping center, and if you think
- 21:44Speaker 9: about it in where we are, in the suburbs and
- 21:47Speaker 9: the regions where mister and misters Joe Average shop, they
- 21:51Speaker 9: love our Australia Day celebrations. We're not trying to pitch
- 21:55Speaker 9: in our shopping center's reader to the elites, to the
- 21:58Speaker 9: intellectually and morally superior to you and Ireta. We are
- 22:02Speaker 9: pitching to mister Joe Average. You know, the people who
- 22:05Speaker 9: want to come to our shopping center, wave the flag, loud,
- 22:08Speaker 9: proud and absolutely love it. We did it last year
- 22:11Speaker 9: and I can tell you, Rhada, it's not only good
- 22:14Speaker 9: for the soul. It's not only good for your country, Darling,
- 22:17Speaker 9: it is fantastic for business.
- 22:22Speaker 3: Well, they're going to be people in their inner city
- 22:25Speaker 3: suburbs of Melbourne and Sydney who are going to be upset.
- 22:28Speaker 3: But you saw a big boost in sales last year
- 22:31Speaker 3: during that period when you were.
- 22:33Speaker 2: Celebrating Australia Day proudly. So the masses are with you.
- 22:38Speaker 3: But in the corporate sector and the media, what you're
- 22:42Speaker 3: doing is seen as controversial.
- 22:44Speaker 9: Well, isn't it extraordinary that's celebrating your country's national day.
- 22:51Speaker 9: Isn't it extraordinary that it's a new story. I mean,
- 22:55Speaker 9: it's amazing that this is actually used a bloke in
- 22:58Speaker 9: the corporate world, who are one hundred million visitors a
- 23:01Speaker 9: year to his assets. By the way, one hundred million,
- 23:04Speaker 9: four times the population of Australia visit our assets every year.
- 23:09Speaker 10: But let me give you some quick stats.
- 23:11Speaker 9: Last year our foot traffic in one CenTra alone, all
- 23:15Speaker 9: the foot traffics were either double or tripled on our
- 23:17Speaker 9: Australia weekends, which means we took business off somebody else.
- 23:21Speaker 9: But in one of the centers in Gladstone in Quinlan
- 23:24Speaker 9: eighty we were up seventeen percent.
- 23:26Speaker 10: On foot traffic.
- 23:27Speaker 9: These are mind boggling numbers. There is mind boggling as
- 23:31Speaker 9: the IA poll this work that's got ninety percent of
- 23:33Speaker 9: kids at a day twenty four going ossi, ossi oi
- 23:36Speaker 9: oi oi. Woke is finished.
- 23:40Speaker 2: Now you've declared woke is over. That is a big call.
- 23:43Speaker 3: But before you go, tell me about what is happening
- 23:46Speaker 3: in the corporate sector when it comes to activism. Are
- 23:50Speaker 3: they still as active as they have been pushing SG
- 23:54Speaker 3: and d IE policies. We saw the corporate sector in
- 23:57Speaker 3: this country almost unanimously the voice A couple of years ago.
- 24:02Speaker 9: Yep, yeah, I mean if you pressed and repeat that,
- 24:05Speaker 9: I don't think you'd see that again after the voice. Clearly,
- 24:09Speaker 9: if you look at the United States, there's all the
- 24:10Speaker 9: markers that mark off ESGDI markers, you know just what,
- 24:14Speaker 9: there's indexes.
- 24:15Speaker 10: You can follow.
- 24:16Speaker 9: And for the last three or four years, if you
- 24:18Speaker 9: look at the ASX, the ODS exchange, which is still
- 24:20Speaker 9: sort of let's call it semiway, a lot of those
- 24:23Speaker 9: things are just drifting. And what they don't do reader,
- 24:25Speaker 9: they don't chop them over off. Do you know what
- 24:27Speaker 9: I mean. You don't chop your HR department overnight. What
- 24:30Speaker 9: do you do is you progressively change your policies, and
- 24:32Speaker 9: you progressively change your incentive systems, and you progressively change
- 24:36Speaker 9: because little things. Because ultimately, as a listed company, you
- 24:41Speaker 9: have one responsibility. It's to your shareholder, and I have
- 24:44Speaker 9: exactly the same responsibility as a private company.
- 24:47Speaker 1: It's to my unit holes.
- 24:48Speaker 9: But most important is to the customers mister and missus
- 24:51Speaker 9: Joe average that are shopping in my shopping centers. That's
- 24:55Speaker 9: where my obligation is to those people. And as of
- 24:58Speaker 9: five minutes ago, my good friend. Reader, we just settled
- 25:01Speaker 9: Inner Air an a fair in New South Wales.
- 25:03Speaker 1: I'm delighted to say so.
- 25:04Speaker 9: The biggest chopping center in New South Wales, Didial, will
- 25:07Speaker 9: be celebrating Australia this weekend. So if you're in Gosport,
- 25:10Speaker 9: if you're in the district, get down to Aeron Affair
- 25:12Speaker 9: because you will see Australian flags flying loudly and proudly
- 25:16Speaker 9: and Australian activities and the whole theme is concentrated on
- 25:20Speaker 9: the whole campaign Reader's called It's never been more important
- 25:24Speaker 9: to love being Australian.
- 25:28Speaker 3: Chris Garno, you're a force of nature. Thank you so
- 25:31Speaker 3: much for your time tonight.
- 25:32Speaker 9: Thank you so much for having me.
- 25:33Speaker 1: Reader.
- 25:34Speaker 2: Still to Karma left he is losing it and finally
- 25:36Speaker 2: a top of.
- 25:37Speaker 3: You astrama is taking on what culture head on? I'll
- 25:41Speaker 3: get kosher Gator's reaction to the hit series Landman. Next,
- 25:55Speaker 3: you're watching the Reader Paney Show and it's time for
- 25:58Speaker 3: lefties losing it. And let's start with fallen celebrity Ellen DeGeneres,
- 26:02Speaker 3: who is such a horror show that she's been variously
- 26:05Speaker 3: described by staff and guests as toxic, terrifying, manipulative, demeaning,
- 26:11Speaker 3: and the worst and meanest.
- 26:13Speaker 2: Person I've met.
- 26:14Speaker 3: Yes, that fake persona the down to earth girl with
- 26:17Speaker 3: a Sunday disposition. Well, that all fell apart when those
- 26:21Speaker 3: who worked with Ellen exposed what she was really like
- 26:24Speaker 3: behind the scenes, including this terrifying tidbit from a cameraman
- 26:28Speaker 3: who alleged that an employee was pressured to move their
- 26:32Speaker 3: child's bone marrow transplant to accommodate Ellen's schedule.
- 26:37Speaker 2: Yikes.
- 26:37Speaker 3: So naturally we are just desperate to know what Lefty Ellen,
- 26:42Speaker 3: who fled Trump's America to move to the UK, thinks
- 26:45Speaker 3: about ice and efforts to deport illegal immigrants.
- 26:49Speaker 11: Hey, everybody, I just wanted to say, I am so
- 26:52Speaker 11: sorry for what is happening in Minneapolis in our country really,
- 26:58Speaker 11: but specifically many at right now, because it's where I
- 27:02Speaker 11: shut my last stand up special, and everybody there couldn't
- 27:06Speaker 11: have been more lovely. I shout it there because they
- 27:08Speaker 11: say it's the happiest city in America, and I found
- 27:14Speaker 11: that to be true. So my thoughts and my prayers
- 27:17Speaker 11: are going out to everyone, and I'm proud of everyone
- 27:20Speaker 11: who's protesting peacefully, and I am sorry for anyone who has.
- 27:24Speaker 10: Been hurt.
- 27:29Speaker 11: Just for protesting, for doing what you should be doing.
- 27:33Speaker 2: Or she's proud of the protesters.
- 27:35Speaker 3: Is sheared the supposedly peaceful protesters who spit on ice
- 27:40Speaker 3: agents who attack them, try to run them.
- 27:42Speaker 2: Over, and good news.
- 27:44Speaker 3: These feral protesters aren't just busying themselves storming churches and
- 27:48Speaker 3: attacking law enforcement and trying to help criminals escape deportation.
- 27:52Speaker 3: They're devoting a whole day to a walkout. This is
- 27:56Speaker 3: a campaign headed by actress Francis Fish.
- 28:00Speaker 2: She's as mad as hell.
- 28:02Speaker 10: I'm as mad as hell, and I'm not gonna take
- 28:05Speaker 10: it anymore.
- 28:06Speaker 12: On January twentieth, we are walking out to free.
- 28:09Speaker 10: America and walking in to remove the regime. We're walking
- 28:12Speaker 10: out of work, walking out of school, We're walking out
- 28:15Speaker 10: of anywhere and everywhere because it's past time that we
- 28:18Speaker 10: stop cooperating with fascism.
- 28:22Speaker 3: It all sounds a little bit insurrectiony to may that
- 28:26Speaker 3: want to remove the regime, as they call it. That
- 28:29Speaker 3: mean the democratically elected president who won in a landslide.
- 28:34Speaker 4: Congress has the power to remove a tyrant from office.
- 28:38Speaker 10: It's not an option, it's their sworn duty.
- 28:40Speaker 12: So at three pm we'll start walking into local congressional
- 28:44Speaker 12: offices to demand impeachment and removal.
- 28:47Speaker 4: We are peacefully demanding that our representatives filed their own
- 28:51Speaker 4: articles of impeachment against.
- 28:53Speaker 2: Trump and senior Trump officials.
- 28:55Speaker 10: And we are demanding that they force a vote.
- 29:00Speaker 12: Trump has committed tuity and obstruction of justice.
- 29:02Speaker 3: And turning ICE into a paramilitary force is an act
- 29:06Speaker 3: of treason.
- 29:07Speaker 13: On January twentieth, we are telling our congressional officials that
- 29:11Speaker 13: it is their duty right now to impeach convict and
- 29:14Speaker 13: remote impeach.
- 29:15Speaker 4: Convict and remote impeach convict and remove.
- 29:19Speaker 3: Yeah, but what they're talking about there is a peaceful coup,
- 29:22Speaker 3: an insurrection, probably something the FBI should be keeping an
- 29:26Speaker 3: eye on and talking about. The FBI, they're going to
- 29:29Speaker 3: investigate the storming of a church in Minneapolis by anti
- 29:32Speaker 3: ICE activists who terrorize parishioners, including children, and guess who
- 29:37Speaker 3: was there with them, Pharmacy and and hack Don Lemon.
- 29:41Speaker 14: Just imagine it's uncomfortable and traumatic for people here. But again, careful,
- 29:45Speaker 14: it's very slippy right here. It's uncomfortable and traumatic for
- 29:48Speaker 14: the people here, But that's what really careful, please really slippery,
- 29:52Speaker 14: not kidding that's what protesting is about.
- 29:56Speaker 3: And so that's what protesting is all about, terrifying young children.
- 30:01Speaker 3: You can see kids there being forced to leave the
- 30:03Speaker 3: church service that should be saved in the sanctity of
- 30:07Speaker 3: a church. This is your idea of a righteous protest
- 30:11Speaker 3: a terrified child.
- 30:13Speaker 2: They're being comforted by adults.
- 30:15Speaker 3: I mean, what sort of an absolute callous clown is
- 30:18Speaker 3: Don Lemon? And if you think he's taken any accountability
- 30:22Speaker 3: for his part in this activism, you'd be wrong.
- 30:25Speaker 2: Apparently anyone upset must be a white.
- 30:28Speaker 14: Supremacist, and there's a certain degree of entitlement. I think
- 30:31Speaker 14: people who are you know, in the religious groups like that.
- 30:34Speaker 14: It's not the type of Christianity that I practice, but
- 30:37Speaker 14: I think that they're entitled and that that entitlement comes
- 30:40Speaker 14: from a supremacy, a white supremacy, and they think that
- 30:44Speaker 14: this country was built for them, that it is their
- 30:45Speaker 14: Christian country, when actually we left England because we wanted
- 30:48Speaker 14: religious freedom. It's religious freedom, but only if you're a
- 30:51Speaker 14: Christian and only if you're a white male pretty much,
- 30:53Speaker 14: and so yeah, absolutely, one hundred percent. But it's an
- 30:56Speaker 14: intimidation tactic. And you know, I said, I don't underst
- 31:00Speaker 14: and how I've become the feace of it. When I
- 31:01Speaker 14: was a journalist, I do understand that I'm the biggest name.
- 31:04Speaker 2: There where does one start.
- 31:07Speaker 3: So if you object to a mob of crazed lunatic
- 31:10Speaker 3: storming a church during Sunday service, frightening little kids of
- 31:14Speaker 3: all colors, then you're a selfish.
- 31:17Speaker 2: Entitled white supremacist.
- 31:19Speaker 3: That's the story you're running with, Don And interesting that
- 31:22Speaker 3: he chose to speak there to Jennifer Welch, the uniquely
- 31:26Speaker 3: awful hard left hater who cheered on those who called
- 31:30Speaker 3: for conservatives to be killed, including those who defended the
- 31:34Speaker 3: murder of Charlie Kirk.
- 31:36Speaker 2: She's so full of bile and hater.
- 31:38Speaker 3: The fact that she has any presence on mainstream media
- 31:42Speaker 3: like MSNBC, ms NOW shows you how.
- 31:45Speaker 2: Far the left half fallen.
- 31:46Speaker 3: Here she is with male Karen Jimmy Costa talking about
- 31:50Speaker 3: mass arresting her political opponents, including the likes of Elon
- 31:54Speaker 3: Musk and President Trump.
- 31:56Speaker 12: Lu Tsunami means that Congress is going to haul Elon Musk,
- 32:01Speaker 12: big balls and a bunch of other people's ass in
- 32:04Speaker 12: front and say what crimes did you commit? And it's
- 32:07Speaker 12: going to get really serious and the same with Trump
- 32:09Speaker 12: because I believe, and this is just my opinion, that
- 32:13Speaker 12: Trump and all of the bottom feeding morons surrounding him,
- 32:17Speaker 12: an Elon Musk and all the bottom feeding clinger honors
- 32:20Speaker 12: that surround him, I think they commit crimes every day,
- 32:22Speaker 12: and I think to reconcile all of this is going
- 32:26Speaker 12: to take hardcore, not integrity democrats Q democrats than over
- 32:34Speaker 12: our country. We are serious about this, we are prosecuting.
- 32:37Speaker 2: There you go.
- 32:38Speaker 3: She wants to round up her political opponents and to
- 32:41Speaker 3: use her words there She is not interested in integrity democrats.
- 32:44Speaker 3: She wants those who will weaponize the justice system again
- 32:48Speaker 3: to attack conservatives.
- 32:50Speaker 2: How did that work out the last time? Jen now
- 32:52Speaker 2: Long said, a.
- 32:53Speaker 3: Septum ring is a signal to the world, a warning
- 32:56Speaker 3: of serious mental health issues.
- 32:59Speaker 2: And here is further proof of that theory.
- 33:01Speaker 3: This woman, this woman, I think doesn't just need a
- 33:04Speaker 3: strike jacket.
- 33:05Speaker 2: I think she needs a jail cell.
- 33:07Speaker 4: You can just kill ice agents. You know that, you
- 33:10Speaker 4: can just kill them. You don't have to hold your
- 33:11Speaker 4: phone in their face and ask people when their birthday is,
- 33:14Speaker 4: and ask people what their name is and then try
- 33:16Speaker 4: to find wherever they end up in Los Angeles, you
- 33:20Speaker 4: can kill them. This isn't about social media cloud anymore.
- 33:24Speaker 4: This isn't about video, This isn't about the phone. This
- 33:27Speaker 4: is about get a gun and start killing ice agents.
- 33:31Speaker 4: They are deputized corrections officers. Kill them now.
- 33:37Speaker 3: While Hollywood continues to alienate half their potential audience by
- 33:41Speaker 3: being stupidly woke at every given opportunity, there are those
- 33:45Speaker 3: in an entertainment sector bucking the trend.
- 33:47Speaker 2: Not many, mind you.
- 33:48Speaker 3: But there are programs like The Brilliant Landman that mock
- 33:52Speaker 3: the left. Here the program confronts the excesses of the
- 33:56Speaker 3: trans movement, including the obsession with pronouns.
- 34:00Speaker 10: So what are your pronouns?
- 34:02Speaker 2: My pronouns? I hope that's pretty clear. Yeah, I don't
- 34:08Speaker 2: make assumptions. You could identify as a sunflower.
- 34:10Speaker 15: You know.
- 34:11Speaker 2: I've been told I look like one.
- 34:13Speaker 16: I use the them, you know, I've always been curious
- 34:19Speaker 16: why they're them.
- 34:21Speaker 2: Because there's just one of you, and those are plural pronouns.
- 34:23Speaker 2: Just never really understood the hoopla pronouns.
- 34:27Speaker 16: My name's Ainslie, and I just can't really come up
- 34:31Speaker 16: with a reason why you would address me a third
- 34:33Speaker 16: person in a conversation that I'm a part of.
- 34:35Speaker 2: So if you do, I'm probably not there.
- 34:37Speaker 16: So I wouldn't really know what pronouns you were using anyways,
- 34:41Speaker 16: So why would it matter.
- 34:42Speaker 17: This is my safe space and I need my environment
- 34:45Speaker 17: crafted to support my mental health.
- 34:47Speaker 3: And Landman also shows the manner in which universities enforced
- 34:51Speaker 3: hard left conformity. This program shows who the real bullies are.
- 34:57Speaker 16: Yeah, I don't get the sense that she wants me
- 34:58Speaker 16: to express myself at all. Well, for example, their pronouns
- 35:04Speaker 16: here we go.
- 35:05Speaker 8: What nothing.
- 35:05Speaker 2: I'm just preparing myself to be offended.
- 35:09Speaker 16: I don't care what someone's pronouns are. I just I mean,
- 35:12Speaker 16: using a plural pronoun for one person is just kind
- 35:16Speaker 16: of incorrect.
- 35:16Speaker 2: It says who, well the English language Asley.
- 35:19Speaker 12: I'm not going to argue the evolving nature of pronoun
- 35:22Speaker 12: usage with you.
- 35:23Speaker 2: They would prefer you use day, then, why is that
- 35:25Speaker 2: an issue?
- 35:26Speaker 3: Let's bring in Sky News contributed Kosher Gaeta Kosher. The
- 35:30Speaker 3: popularity of Landman, I think speaks not just to the
- 35:34Speaker 3: quality of the program, but the desire out there for
- 35:38Speaker 3: Hollywood to tackle these issues, because anytime they do cover it,
- 35:42Speaker 3: it seems to be in a very skewed fashion.
- 35:45Speaker 17: Indeed, from a business perspective, it's such a wide open
- 35:48Speaker 17: field for anybody willing to do it. There's literally half
- 35:51Speaker 17: the country, tens of millions of people who are crying
- 35:54Speaker 17: out for quality content in the space. That's where you
- 35:57Speaker 17: see some of it coming up in the alternative media spaces,
- 36:00Speaker 17: but not so many mainstream director's producers creators. Taylor Sheridan
- 36:05Speaker 17: the creator behind this, also of Yellowstone. He's from Texas.
- 36:08Speaker 17: He very smartly doesn't wear his politics on his sleeve.
- 36:11Speaker 17: We can infer, but he's creating art. He loves to
- 36:14Speaker 17: depict rural, working class settings, obvious rugged masculinity, natural femininity
- 36:20Speaker 17: like these characters here. When you see that, and it's
- 36:23Speaker 17: almost like he's doing a wink and a nod, I
- 36:25Speaker 17: think to half the country about what he's talking about.
- 36:28Speaker 3: Now, let's talk about that storming of the church in Minneapolis.
- 36:33Speaker 3: I played footage of that last night. Just incredible scenes
- 36:37Speaker 3: to see these anti Trump, anti ice protests storming a
- 36:41Speaker 3: church that were joined by Don Lemon, and here he lectures.
- 36:46Speaker 2: The preacher about what Jesus would really want? What do
- 36:49Speaker 2: you think of it?
- 36:50Speaker 10: I mean, this is unacceptable, It's shameful. It's shameful to
- 36:55Speaker 10: interrupt a public gathering.
- 36:57Speaker 2: Of Christians in worship.
- 37:00Speaker 9: But there are folks.
- 37:02Speaker 10: I have to take care of my flock.
- 37:04Speaker 14: Listen, we live in there's a Constitution in the First
- 37:06Speaker 14: Amendment to freedom of speech and freedom to assemble a
- 37:08Speaker 14: protect Yeah, we're here to worship.
- 37:11Speaker 10: We're here to worship Jesus because.
- 37:12Speaker 2: That's the hope of these cities.
- 37:14Speaker 10: That's the hope of the world is Jesus Christ.
- 37:16Speaker 14: We're very respectful, but please don't.
- 37:17Speaker 2: Push me though we're here.
- 37:19Speaker 10: We're here to worship Jesus.
- 37:21Speaker 9: That's why we're here.
- 37:22Speaker 10: Okay, that's why we're here. Hopefully, that's what we're about.
- 37:24Speaker 14: Which you think Jesus would be understanding.
- 37:26Speaker 10: We're about love these bodes, we're about spreading the love
- 37:29Speaker 10: of Jesus.
- 37:30Speaker 3: I mean the nerve of him saying, oh, don't touch
- 37:33Speaker 3: me as he gets into the man's personal space, telling
- 37:37Speaker 3: him what Jesus would really want it that calls.
- 37:39Speaker 2: Now, people are irate about this. It's like they've.
- 37:42Speaker 3: Crossed the line, and there are calls for everyone involved
- 37:45Speaker 3: in that action to be investigated, to possibly be charged.
- 37:48Speaker 17: There are Assistant Attorney General Hermy Dillon, head of the
- 37:51Speaker 17: Civil Rights Division, is exploring the Face Act, which is
- 37:54Speaker 17: about protecting freedom to worship and religious freedom on the line,
- 37:59Speaker 17: and the others are of course going to argue freedom
- 38:01Speaker 17: of speech and the First Amendment, and that will run
- 38:03Speaker 17: its course depending on how far they prosecute. But this
- 38:06Speaker 17: did disrupt a place of worship during a time of worship,
- 38:09Speaker 17: and so there is some argument there that legal scholars
- 38:12Speaker 17: are saying there might be a case. I do think
- 38:14Speaker 17: the Trump administration also understands the power of setting examples,
- 38:17Speaker 17: like making examples of people, and you get one or
- 38:19Speaker 17: two high profile ones like this. Since Don Lemon is involved,
- 38:22Speaker 17: it could be a deterrent. I don't know that that
- 38:24Speaker 17: will take a long time. I think the other issue
- 38:26Speaker 17: to everybody knows this is Don Lemon is looking for
- 38:29Speaker 17: her second act. You have to snn and so he
- 38:31Speaker 17: just wants to go where he thinks there's conflict and
- 38:34Speaker 17: a viral story. And in so far as that goes,
- 38:37Speaker 17: I guess it's working. He's in the news a lot.
- 38:38Speaker 2: Well, it's working.
- 38:39Speaker 3: He's got superstar Nicki Minaj weighing into this issue. She's
- 38:43Speaker 3: attacked him personally, and she also posted this image from
- 38:47Speaker 3: inside the church. You can see there looks like parents
- 38:51Speaker 3: comforting their child, terrified kids. In there, she wrote, the
- 38:55Speaker 3: world is watching. Kosha Minaj just really leaned into Christians
- 39:01Speaker 3: and Christianity. We saw her talk about persecuted Christians in Nigeria.
- 39:06Speaker 3: Now church goers in Minneapolis.
- 39:08Speaker 17: And Don Lemon probably didn't see that coming because you're right,
- 39:11Speaker 17: superstar with many more fans online than him, she is
- 39:15Speaker 17: leaning in and it kind of links to the previous
- 39:17Speaker 17: topic too. Another example of somebody from the entertainment industry
- 39:20Speaker 17: daring to buck the trend or come out in support
- 39:24Speaker 17: of religion. You see them here and there. But it
- 39:26Speaker 17: used to be another mind. It used to be career
- 39:28Speaker 17: suicide to do that. I guess she's too big to counsel.
- 39:32Speaker 17: And it is refreshing because she does lend a different
- 39:35Speaker 17: credibility to the cause.
- 39:37Speaker 2: She brings a different audience.
- 39:38Speaker 17: It's maybe more open or willing to listen to her
- 39:40Speaker 17: than somebody you know of the rate, and I think
- 39:43Speaker 17: it's a good thing.
- 39:44Speaker 3: Now we're seeing these protests ramp up, obviously a lot
- 39:48Speaker 3: happening in Minnesota, but also elsewhere in the country. They
- 39:51Speaker 3: have a day of protests coming up in the next
- 39:55Speaker 3: twenty four hours. How do you see that impacting the midterms?
- 40:00Speaker 3: It's months away. But does it help Donald Trump or
- 40:04Speaker 3: does a painted picture of chaos and disunity? And is
- 40:09Speaker 3: it just going to help the Democrats? Really, I could
- 40:13Speaker 3: get a fantastic result.
- 40:15Speaker 2: Come no vembo.
- 40:16Speaker 17: Yeah, it's a you put your finger on a key question.
- 40:18Speaker 17: I think that's ok. At some of the polling where
- 40:20Speaker 17: sixty seven percent of Republicans are fully in support of it.
- 40:24Speaker 17: They want all illegals out, not just violent illegals went
- 40:28Speaker 17: on to commit violent crimes at all illegals.
- 40:30Speaker 2: That is a massive shift.
- 40:31Speaker 17: The party was not there even ten years ago, but
- 40:34Speaker 17: it was something like fifty to fifty five percent of
- 40:36Speaker 17: the country actually thinks so that ice agent went too far.
- 40:40Speaker 17: They see renee Good as a little bit of a victim,
- 40:43Speaker 17: even if legally that may not be the case. It's
- 40:45Speaker 17: the optics of it.
- 40:46Speaker 2: So that's tricky.
- 40:46Speaker 17: It's pretty split, and there's a big contingent of people.
- 40:49Speaker 17: It's all Democrats and independents, which are important in the midterms,
- 40:52Speaker 17: that don't like this and don't like the idea of
- 40:55Speaker 17: armed agents out in the streets, even if they're.
- 40:57Speaker 3: About twenty twenty and that how summer of love we
- 41:01Speaker 3: had with the BLM rights across the country, two billion
- 41:04Speaker 3: dollars worth of damage, more than a dozen people killed,
- 41:08Speaker 3: many more bashed, And though I would imagine most of
- 41:12Speaker 3: the country wouldn't have been supportive of any of that,
- 41:15Speaker 3: it did paint a picture of chaos, and I think
- 41:17Speaker 3: it helped the Democrats, and it seems like they're trying
- 41:19Speaker 3: to emulate that come the midterms.
- 41:22Speaker 17: And when you get something like this, these conflicts are
- 41:24Speaker 17: bound to happen. Even if the ICE is in the
- 41:27Speaker 17: right legally, just in the court of public opinion, they
- 41:31Speaker 17: are able to make hay of it. So I think that,
- 41:33Speaker 17: coupled with the economy and other issues that are maybe
- 41:36Speaker 17: not going exactly as the Trump administration and Republicans want,
- 41:39Speaker 17: it's going to be very very tricky the midterms that
- 41:41Speaker 17: we don't know how it's.
- 41:42Speaker 15: Going to go.
- 41:42Speaker 3: No way too early right now, But let's have a
- 41:46Speaker 3: little light relief courtesy of town Hall Media and Tim
- 41:50Speaker 3: Walls tampon Tin Walls.
- 41:53Speaker 2: I would not put it past this administration to target
- 41:56Speaker 2: midnight mass services amongst folks going to worship.
- 41:59Speaker 10: Bang Renee Good, Rene Good where are you?
- 42:06Speaker 12: Where are you?
- 42:07Speaker 15: Where are your people?
- 42:08Speaker 10: Why are you got it with?
- 42:10Speaker 5: Well?
- 42:10Speaker 10: Every day fighting for the humanity.
- 42:12Speaker 9: You drink your pappa, You got your jewelry, you have
- 42:14Speaker 9: your nice clothes. But what do you do?
- 42:16Speaker 10: What are you understand for your small lots of couplebodies.
- 42:20Speaker 2: It's always the way with the left. It's all about projection.
- 42:22Speaker 3: They're guilty of precisely what they accuse their political opponents
- 42:27Speaker 3: of doing.
- 42:27Speaker 17: Always And oh, Tim Walls, I think what did he
- 42:30Speaker 17: say in the debate?
- 42:31Speaker 9: Knucklehead? He tends your knucklehead.
- 42:33Speaker 17: So he did not pick the best example there, and
- 42:35Speaker 17: the timing couldn't have been worse.
- 42:36Speaker 10: He is in hot water.
- 42:37Speaker 17: He really this whole gigantrian level of fraud that's coming
- 42:41Speaker 17: out of Minnesota while he presided over that state as governor.
- 42:45Speaker 17: We're just at the tip of the iceberg of that story,
- 42:47Speaker 17: and he is implicated, whether by actively being involved or
- 42:52Speaker 17: just being incompetent, whatever it is, in some.
- 42:54Speaker 2: Way he's complicit.
- 42:55Speaker 17: I think he's worried about it, and you can see
- 42:57Speaker 17: the panic a little bit.
- 42:58Speaker 2: Absolutely.
- 42:59Speaker 3: I think the best case scenario is he's hopelessly inept
- 43:03Speaker 3: and had no idea what was happening under his watch.
- 43:06Speaker 2: That is the best case scenario.
- 43:09Speaker 3: The other option is complicit and it could be facing
- 43:13Speaker 3: some serious charges.
- 43:15Speaker 2: Now, before you go, the issue of biological.
- 43:17Speaker 3: Boys and men in women's sport has been spoken about
- 43:21Speaker 3: it a lot. Recently, the Supreme Court has heard arguments
- 43:24Speaker 3: in two constitutional cases regarding the participation of transgender athletes
- 43:29Speaker 3: at the K twelve and college level.
- 43:32Speaker 2: Do you expect the court to settle this matter once
- 43:36Speaker 2: and for all.
- 43:36Speaker 3: We're still going to have the states doing their own
- 43:40Speaker 3: thing and the Trump administration doing its this.
- 43:45Speaker 17: I think the result is due in June July, in
- 43:47Speaker 17: the summertime, and the reading seems to be people expect
- 43:51Speaker 17: that six' three the conservative majority will uphold the current,
- 43:54Speaker 17: ruling which is that those twenty seven seats the red
- 43:57Speaker 17: stets essentially who bands can do. So and it's primarily
- 44:02Speaker 17: on the core argument that they're, bringing and also on
- 44:04Speaker 17: top of, that there's a federalism argument too that it
- 44:07Speaker 17: should be at the local. Level people are still debating.
- 44:09Speaker 17: This we wish they, weren't but they, are and so
- 44:11Speaker 17: let the states have the, power which is good that
- 44:14Speaker 17: at least Those idaho And West virginia who are the plaintiffs,
- 44:16Speaker 17: here will come out. Victorious, however the other twenty three
- 44:20Speaker 17: states who have not banned men from participating in girls,
- 44:23Speaker 17: sports they will continue to do what they're. Doing there's
- 44:26Speaker 17: a big case down the road that they're going to.
- 44:28Speaker 17: Hear where would they nationalize that?
- 44:30Speaker 10: Ban that?
- 44:31Speaker 2: One it looks like.
- 44:31Speaker 17: Even the conservative judges won't go, there and they'll rely
- 44:34Speaker 17: on the federalism, argument which will mean that you'll have
- 44:37Speaker 17: more of the red part of the country looking red
- 44:39Speaker 17: and the blue part of the country looking, blue and
- 44:41Speaker 17: life is very different if you live In texas Versus.
- 44:43Speaker 3: California fascinating and, yeah listening to some of those arguments
- 44:48Speaker 3: being put a couple of those liberal, JUDGES i, mean
- 44:52Speaker 3: you just have to wonder how they even made it
- 44:54Speaker 3: onto The Supreme. Court the questions were just so infantile
- 44:58Speaker 3: and almost embarrassing to very.
- 44:59Speaker 2: Embarrassing, koshergata thank you so much for your time. Tonight
- 45:03Speaker 2: pleasure still to.
- 45:04Speaker 3: Come an unfolding scandal involving THE Us Secret service And
- 45:08Speaker 3: Vice PRESIDENT. Jd vance Alex stein has the Details.
- 45:22Speaker 2: Welcome Back.

- 45:27Speaker 3: of The latino, community were thrilled that The trump administration
- 45:30Speaker 3: Removed venezuelan Dictator Nicholas maduro from. Power there are some
- 45:35Speaker 3: who are unhappy about the flow of narcotics Into, america
- 45:39Speaker 3: slowing pushing up. Prices here Is Alex stein addressing his local.

- 46:14Speaker 13: Blow but with all that being, SAID i just want to,
- 46:16Speaker 13: say for all of the people that are seeking asylum
- 46:19Speaker 13: out Of, venezuela all big Booty latinas are welcome in my.
- 46:23Speaker 13: Place all big Booty. Latinas if you're, nine you're.
- 46:26Speaker 2: Fine Alex stein joins.
- 46:29Speaker 3: Me, Now alex were the members Of Flower Mount council
- 46:33Speaker 3: sympathetic to your?
- 46:35Speaker 2: Plight do you know?
- 46:37Speaker 10: What, surprisingly they were not sympathetic. Whatsoever and a couple
- 46:41Speaker 10: of police officers talked to me as soon as the
- 46:42Speaker 10: meeting was. Over but luckily they kind of know WHO
- 46:45Speaker 10: i am and understood WHAT i was trying to, Do
- 46:47Speaker 10: so thank GOD i didn't get arrested at that.
- 46:49Speaker 3: Meeting, well, yes also your sign inviting big Booty, latinas
- 46:56Speaker 3: whether they're illegal or, not to reside at your, HOUSE
- 47:00Speaker 3: i think that would have raised a few hygebrows in. Itself,
- 47:03Speaker 3: now we all know about the unprecedented fraud In minnesota
- 47:07Speaker 3: billions of taxpayer funds, squandered, stolen but that hasn't inspired
- 47:12Speaker 3: Other blue states and cities to look in their own
- 47:15Speaker 3: backyards for similar.
- 47:17Speaker 2: Schemes here Is seattle Mayg Katie wilson explaining why she's.
- 47:21Speaker 3: Reluctant to investigate claims Of somali fraud In.
- 47:25Speaker 15: Seattle problematic to have random people showing up to Decars and,
- 47:32Speaker 15: YEAH i, MEAN i think the fear in The smiley
- 47:34Speaker 15: community is, real the fear in immigrant communities are, Real
- 47:36Speaker 15: so we're taking that very.
- 47:37Speaker 1: Seriously along those, lines have you asked anyone to follow
- 47:39Speaker 1: up on the fraud, claims either to The apartment Of
- 47:43Speaker 1: Immigrant Refugee affairs OR. Spd, No so there's as far
- 47:48Speaker 1: as you're, concerned right, now.
- 47:49Speaker 17: There's no reason to suggest there's any sort of.
- 47:51Speaker 15: Fraud this holy issue is not really about, fraud, Right
- 47:54Speaker 15: it's about dividing and. Conquering it's about making an immigrant
- 47:57Speaker 15: community a.
- 47:58Speaker 2: Target there you, Go, alex there's no reason to.
- 48:02Speaker 3: Investigate it's, problematic and she's clearly more worried about what
- 48:07Speaker 3: she calls fear in The somali community than any sort
- 48:11Speaker 3: of fraud that could be happening under a.
- 48:13Speaker 2: Nose.
- 48:14Speaker 10: No, ready you're exactly. Right and the real problem is
- 48:17Speaker 10: that we have a two tier justice. System IF, i
- 48:20Speaker 10: as a Legal american, citizen was trying to run some
- 48:23Speaker 10: sort of daycare, FRAUD i would get caught AND i
- 48:25Speaker 10: would be held accountable for all of the crimes THAT i.
- 48:28Speaker 10: Committed but if you're A somali that is that is,
- 48:30Speaker 10: here you, know on a green card or you know
- 48:32Speaker 10: some sort of you, know temporary immigration, status when you
- 48:35Speaker 10: get arrested for a serious crime like, this you get
- 48:38Speaker 10: to get. Deported so they basically have a get out
- 48:40Speaker 10: of jail free, card which is the real problem all
- 48:43Speaker 10: this because it encourages them to actually do some sort
- 48:46Speaker 10: of illegal enterprise to make. Money so that's why The
- 48:49Speaker 10: american citizens are. Frustrated, yes it's a lot of, money
- 48:53Speaker 10: but we're frustrated that illegal emmerants can come here and
- 48:56Speaker 10: take away social services and tax paying dollars THAT i.
- 49:00Speaker 10: Paid also that they can have Bent lee's and driver
- 49:03Speaker 10: on a fancy. Cars it's, Ridiculous, rita.
- 49:06Speaker 2: Before you, Go.
- 49:06Speaker 3: Alex investigative report Of james O'Keefe has uncovered some starting
- 49:11Speaker 3: information about a secret service agent As Signis Vice president
- 49:15Speaker 3: Jd Vance thomas a SCOTTO i holdover from The biden,
- 49:18Speaker 3: administration was caught on video disclosing high level information about
- 49:23Speaker 3: THE vp and his, family And alex seemed very, relaxed
- 49:27Speaker 3: very happy to reveal this information to a total stranger
- 49:30Speaker 3: in person and also via text.
- 49:32Speaker 10: Messages, Well, rita you, Know i'm very good friends With
- 49:36Speaker 10: james o'keefa And i'm trying to you, know name. Drop
- 49:39Speaker 10: AND i Remember james calling me before this came, out
- 49:41Speaker 10: and he, Said, alex this is the biggest thing That
- 49:43Speaker 10: i've ever. Uncovered he thought this was going to be
- 49:46Speaker 10: as Magnus, opus and of course it was a huge,
- 49:48Speaker 10: thing And i'm so thankful that you're covering. It but
- 49:50Speaker 10: just think about. This we have a Secret service agent
- 49:53Speaker 10: that is joking, about you, know a derelict of duty
- 49:56Speaker 10: in getting the vice, president you, know potentially. Her so
- 50:00Speaker 10: this is a huge. STORY i think this is an
- 50:03Speaker 10: indication that there is a deep state that even Though
- 50:05Speaker 10: trump is in, power there's a lot of people that
- 50:07Speaker 10: are high up that don't agree With Donald.
- 50:09Speaker 3: Trump Alex, stein thank you so much for your time,
- 50:13Speaker 3: tonight and.
- 50:14Speaker 2: That's all the time we. Have i'll see you tomorrow
- 50:17Speaker 2: night at. Eleven newsnight is up.
- 50:18Speaker 10: Next
