- 0:24Speaker 2: Nothing annoys Jose more than telling them is we're in
- 0:26Speaker 2: a new ship.
- 0:27Speaker 1: It's not a new ship.
- 0:28Speaker 2: But you don't like it when people say that you are.
- 0:30Speaker 2: I could be lying now, which I am, and you get.
- 0:36Speaker 1: Actually, here's the weird thing. I've got about four or
- 0:39Speaker 1: five bullbegs real new ship, which I kind of like.
- 0:45Speaker 1: They're kind of out there, but they're kind of dress
- 0:47Speaker 1: shit that I wore one once and one of my
- 0:49Speaker 1: girls wearing What the fuck is that?
- 0:52Speaker 3: Can you wear it to work place a week and say?
- 0:55Speaker 1: Is that? You know? They? I would define them as
- 0:59Speaker 1: smart care visuals. So say you were going up for dinner,
- 1:03Speaker 1: not to a restaurant, say that going to but joint,
- 1:07Speaker 1: you know what I.
- 1:07Speaker 2: Mean, not a food court, not a food court, something
- 1:11Speaker 2: in your local cinema.
- 1:12Speaker 1: Something a bit nicer. That kind of ship, or you know,
- 1:19Speaker 1: an evening with friends.
- 1:21Speaker 3: That sounds fucking tedious.
- 1:22Speaker 2: You've got to start wearing that T shirts. Jase, you're
- 1:24Speaker 2: killing me.
- 1:25Speaker 3: I know, man, No, I just it's funny how we
- 1:27Speaker 3: split on this one. I think Jase looks neat neat.
- 1:31Speaker 1: I'm going to start wearing T shirts.
- 1:32Speaker 2: Then your rock and roll, Man, you've had your time
- 1:36Speaker 2: of wearing you know, those ships about decent T shirts
- 1:40Speaker 2: rock and Roll ten years off.
- 1:42Speaker 3: Your Polo shirt. I think Polo is in the middle.
- 1:45Speaker 1: No, I'm not going Polo Keys. Actually, funnily enough, there's
- 1:49Speaker 1: a great shop on like a shop on kro that
- 1:53Speaker 1: sounds pretty cool old T shirts. Yeah, you know, not
- 1:58Speaker 1: wacky t shir it's just with all kind of old ship,
- 2:02Speaker 1: not like dragons or anything or diar wolves. Yeah. I'm
- 2:07Speaker 1: intrigued by this style that Keys is running at the moment,
- 2:10Speaker 1: the Fonsi style with the sort of short sleeve ship
- 2:13Speaker 1: in the white single.
- 2:14Speaker 2: The only thing that's missing for me, Kezy is number one,
- 2:17Speaker 2: you need to wear a gold watch, a gold watch,
- 2:19Speaker 2: gold watching, a gold chain, and a gold chain, and
- 2:25Speaker 2: he didn't wear that either, and a packet of Siggies
- 2:27Speaker 2: rolled up in the sleeve.
- 2:28Speaker 1: Yes, I agree, perfect, perfect, Then you could be on
- 2:32Speaker 1: the sopranos.
- 2:33Speaker 2: And then you can get you have your comb in
- 2:35Speaker 2: your back pocket, and then you go to do your
- 2:37Speaker 2: hair and you stop because it's already perfect, and you
- 2:39Speaker 2: look at yourself in the minute and you go.
- 2:41Speaker 3: Hey, it does sound cool.
- 2:44Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, No, this.
- 2:46Speaker 3: Is a look that I bought a whole lot of
- 2:48Speaker 3: shirts when I was going to Europe.
- 2:50Speaker 1: Oh it's your European lookers.
- 2:52Speaker 2: Look is it? I'm going But you've only been wearing
- 2:54Speaker 2: the one and here is that right?
- 2:55Speaker 3: And I've had my Steve.
- 2:57Speaker 1: I've got to tell you, man, I was one is
- 3:02Speaker 1: five or six of them when my wife and I
- 3:05Speaker 1: were going up you know, I was trying to find
- 3:06Speaker 1: some boots a weak for winter, and we were looking
- 3:08Speaker 1: at these shoes and there were these absolutely hideous, messive,
- 3:14Speaker 1: sort of bold pink sort of shoes in the shop
- 3:18Speaker 1: and my wife pointed to them and went, look at that.
- 3:20Speaker 1: There's some keezy shock.
- 3:23Speaker 3: Did she say that? What the fuck?
- 3:26Speaker 1: She said, usually just buy those the fuck keasy.
- 3:28Speaker 3: Off already with.
- 3:34Speaker 1: Yes she did. She did, because they were they were
- 3:40Speaker 1: the style of your floaters balances. Yeah, but they were
- 3:44Speaker 1: liker bright pink.
- 3:47Speaker 3: That would be fucking funny if you didn't get those. Ah,
- 3:50Speaker 3: your wife got beef. Now you've got beef. I don't
- 3:53Speaker 3: want to have beef with it.
- 3:55Speaker 1: It's all good. And then she's pretty cool.
- 3:56Speaker 2: Good, still good. We're going to get into the show
- 4:00Speaker 2: about your wife's play. Are we going to do it here?
- 4:03Speaker 1: We can do it here.
- 4:04Speaker 2: I'd like to hear some modesty, which we probably won't
- 4:06Speaker 2: get in the show.
- 4:08Speaker 1: I'm very proud, right, so it was no great.
- 4:15Speaker 2: We should do this on the show for exactly this reason. Well,
- 4:19Speaker 2: were very proud. Why do we say that? Because you
- 4:21Speaker 2: can read that anyway.
- 4:23Speaker 3: You're like, okay, because I've read it as well. Would
- 4:26Speaker 3: you not just say it was good?
- 4:27Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 4:28Speaker 1: I enjoyed it.
- 4:31Speaker 3: You still haven't said that it was good.
- 4:33Speaker 2: It was good.
- 4:34Speaker 3: That infliction, I'm not sure about that.
- 4:37Speaker 1: No, I enjoyed it. It was great, but maybe a taed
- 4:39Speaker 1: too long for me. I'm not a big fan of
- 4:42Speaker 1: the intermission.
- 4:43Speaker 2: I hate an intermission, But from the houses point of view,
- 4:47Speaker 2: they need the intermission.
- 4:48Speaker 3: They do.
- 4:48Speaker 2: They make money on the intermission. Yes, they need you
- 4:51Speaker 2: out there buying those drinks keys.
- 4:53Speaker 1: Oh no, they did a great job, and with the material.
- 4:58Speaker 1: I enjoyed it. If I'm honest, I wasn't a huge
- 5:02Speaker 1: fan of the play itself. Here you go, arrogant, But no,
- 5:07Speaker 1: I thought they did a great job.
- 5:08Speaker 3: Is that because it's all about like women?
- 5:11Speaker 1: Yes? No, No, it's not because of that. But there's
- 5:15Speaker 1: a male it's a New Zealand writer, Elizabeth Esther. I
- 5:20Speaker 1: think her namers anyway. But there's also a male character
- 5:25Speaker 1: who plays lots of different parts, lots of different characters,
- 5:29Speaker 1: and he's great. He was great, a guy, Leonardo, and
- 5:34Speaker 1: he did a great job of it. But I kind
- 5:36Speaker 1: of felt that he was upstaging all the other actors
- 5:40Speaker 1: because all of his roles were sort of comedic, and
- 5:43Speaker 1: he'd come on and get all these big laughs and
- 5:46Speaker 1: then they'd go back to their sort of monologues and
- 5:48Speaker 1: stories and you know what I mean. So I found
- 5:51Speaker 1: that quite jarring. No, he was fantastic. He did a
- 5:56Speaker 1: great job.
- 5:57Speaker 3: That's an issue with the like the structure of the
- 5:59Speaker 3: play itself.
- 6:00Speaker 2: Well, the direction it could be.
- 6:01Speaker 1: But let me tell you, the audience loved it right.
- 6:04Speaker 2: Just not you. No, I was a standing ovation except
- 6:06Speaker 2: for hoody ja. No.
- 6:07Speaker 3: No, I very really give inside.
- 6:11Speaker 1: I tell you what. In the first half the last
- 6:13Speaker 1: twenty minutes of the first half. I desperately needed to
- 6:17Speaker 1: do WE. Yeah, like desperately, and was.
- 6:22Speaker 3: Just hanging on hate that feeling, just hanging on your thoughts.
- 6:27Speaker 2: Yeah, you're not concentrating.
- 6:29Speaker 1: My bladder was just pulsing.
- 6:32Speaker 3: You're doing that thing that you did when you're a kidding,
- 6:33Speaker 3: You're just squeezing.
- 6:34Speaker 1: I actually did I actually did do that.
- 6:37Speaker 2: I've never done that.
- 6:38Speaker 1: I actually had to press down. I was so and
- 6:40Speaker 1: that maybe distracted me for twenty minutes, but no, they
- 6:43Speaker 1: did a great.
- 6:44Speaker 2: Distract and everybody old holding only shouldn't.
- 6:48Speaker 1: Have stood up when I did it.
- 6:50Speaker 3: I think what you've done with the issue I'm going
- 6:52Speaker 3: to have here now, and I think I thought this
- 6:54Speaker 3: yesterday when you told me. I think I'm going to
- 6:57Speaker 3: go and with that in mind, what you were saying
- 6:58Speaker 3: that I needed to do WE, that the guy is
- 7:00Speaker 3: upstaging blah blah blah whatever. No, it's going to affect
- 7:03Speaker 3: my enjoyment of the play.
- 7:04Speaker 1: That's not you know that. That's just my opinions.
- 7:09Speaker 2: Somebody can tell me, for example, all you guys can
- 7:11Speaker 2: tell me that one bit laughter another is a good
- 7:13Speaker 2: film and I can go and see it.
- 7:15Speaker 3: I'm different though, I'll be I'll have that in mind
- 7:18Speaker 3: as I'm watching it. Sure, yeah, I can tell that
- 7:21Speaker 3: I will, and I might have to give her a
- 7:23Speaker 3: six out of ten.
- 7:24Speaker 1: But he yeah, but no, but Leonardo did a fantastic job.
- 7:27Speaker 1: He's a really good actor. And it wasn't and it
- 7:30Speaker 1: wasn't his performance. You know when I say upstaging, that's
- 7:34Speaker 1: the worst thing you can do as an actor, and
- 7:37Speaker 1: you know in a theater show is to upstage, which
- 7:39Speaker 1: is to take the focus off the other actors. But
- 7:42Speaker 1: that's how it was written that he would come in
- 7:44Speaker 1: as these various different actors, our characters. So it wasn't
- 7:48Speaker 1: him being a selfish actor. It was him playing the
- 7:51Speaker 1: part really well.
- 7:52Speaker 3: Would you have been able to do that role?
- 7:54Speaker 1: Easy?
- 7:55Speaker 3: Really?
- 7:56Speaker 2: Yes?
- 7:56Speaker 3: Easy?
- 7:57Speaker 1: Yes?
- 7:57Speaker 2: There was a lot quite two dimensional it was.
- 8:00Speaker 1: There was a lot of pretend love making.
- 8:02Speaker 3: The whole Larky Big Show week days from four on
- 8:06Speaker 3: Radio Hurarchy. Remember the Warcky Big Show podcast.
- 8:10Speaker 1: One of the actors in the show, Margie, You'll be
- 8:12Speaker 1: delighted to hear this because they were asking her.
- 8:16Speaker 2: In twenty nineteen who my wife's sector.
- 8:18Speaker 1: Of the husband was and they and she said, it's
- 8:21Speaker 1: Jason Hoyt and they went, oh, I know, blah blah
- 8:24Speaker 1: blah blah blah. And she said, I really loved that show, Penan,
- 8:30Speaker 1: and she was going, no, no, no, no, no, that's
- 8:34Speaker 1: not it. He was like a radio host and stuff.
- 8:36Speaker 1: And she went, oh my god, talk back and you
- 8:39Speaker 1: in here talk pack. I love that show. Why did
- 8:42Speaker 1: they get a second season?
- 8:43Speaker 2: Thank you? Yeah, and we got fucked over. That's why
- 8:47Speaker 2: I just want to be quite clear about that.
- 8:50Speaker 3: You know, you talk to me about getting sucked over
- 8:51Speaker 3: by TV shows.
- 8:55Speaker 1: But then I had a tobacco half after the show.
- 8:59Speaker 1: But I'll get into that app.
- 9:00Speaker 2: In the show. Do you have to stick around afterwards?
- 9:04Speaker 1: Yeah, for a little bit. Yeah, And I'm not a
- 9:06Speaker 1: fan of that. No, And that's the other reason. W yeah,
- 9:10Speaker 1: of course. Yeah. And then and that's why I don't
- 9:13Speaker 1: like intervals either, because it's just small talk, and I
- 9:16Speaker 1: fucking hate.
- 9:17Speaker 2: Small You know what I do. I go to the toilet, yes,
- 9:20Speaker 2: I may or may not go to the bar. Yes,
- 9:23Speaker 2: but then I'll just I'm straight back to my seat.
- 9:25Speaker 2: I hate I hate anti.
- 9:29Speaker 1: Tech for the toilet. And then I went and had
- 9:30Speaker 1: a vape.
- 9:31Speaker 2: Yeah, well this is what I would do. But yeah, given,
- 9:33Speaker 2: I'm not, and then i'd be conscious about that in
- 9:35Speaker 2: this day and age about having a dart because you
- 9:38Speaker 2: go back in there then reeking.
- 9:40Speaker 1: Yes, yeah, yeah, fine, yes, yeah, it was great stuff,
- 9:45Speaker 1: great stuff.
- 9:45Speaker 3: And will you do a litet bit of a review
- 9:47Speaker 3: on the show today as well? What's on Telly?
- 9:49Speaker 1: Ah?
- 9:50Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah maybe because people that listen to the radio,
- 9:52Speaker 3: who do you talk about it?
- 9:53Speaker 2: Well, I think we should save it until you've seen it,
- 9:56Speaker 2: and I've seen it. I think we should say you
- 9:58Speaker 2: don't want three reviews? Okay?
- 10:02Speaker 3: Well, then in that case, what would you give your
- 10:03Speaker 3: wife's performance out of ten?
- 10:05Speaker 2: We go?
- 10:05Speaker 1: I had a ten? Ten busies?
- 10:07Speaker 2: Yeah? Good, that's good.
- 10:08Speaker 3: Were you up there while she was up there? Were
- 10:10Speaker 3: you like stoked the whole time? She's crush all you're terrified?
- 10:13Speaker 3: I was terrified. I would be terrified. I was terrified.
- 10:16Speaker 3: And then when the curtains went down, the.
- 10:17Speaker 2: Pink you're going to enjoy it?
- 10:18Speaker 1: Were you just like I was tensed up in my
- 10:21Speaker 1: seat when she first came on. I was genuinely like
- 10:24Speaker 1: tetting for a purse. No, not at that point.
- 10:27Speaker 2: Can I ask and look, there's no rush here? How
- 10:31Speaker 2: she felt?
- 10:33Speaker 1: She said, it was great having an audience because there's
- 10:37Speaker 1: a lot of monologues in it, and she said, it's
- 10:39Speaker 1: really hard sometimes when you're rehearsing it all the time
- 10:43Speaker 1: and you're just getting no response and you just sort
- 10:45Speaker 1: of lose your moment.
- 10:47Speaker 2: It's a lot of fun, isn't it when you get
- 10:49Speaker 2: to do it and then you get to see because
- 10:50Speaker 2: you don't know what it is until you've got an audience.
- 10:52Speaker 2: That's what it is. But what always got me was
- 10:56Speaker 2: that you'd be that the laughs oft and at where
- 10:59Speaker 2: you think the laugh.
- 11:01Speaker 1: You get surprised exactly the laugh.
- 11:06Speaker 2: Yeah, exactly, because you carry out and you're wearing your fonds,
- 11:09Speaker 2: the outfit.
- 11:11Speaker 3: You were having like a proper convo here.
- 11:13Speaker 2: I know.
- 11:14Speaker 1: I'm sorry, but there's a couple of the actors said that.
- 11:18Speaker 1: They said. My wife even said, I I never got
- 11:23Speaker 1: that line. You laugh on it, and she went, oh, okay,
- 11:26Speaker 1: so it is funny. I don't I don't know what
- 11:28Speaker 1: it is. Yeah, I don't know why it's funny, but
- 11:30Speaker 1: people laughed at it.
- 11:32Speaker 2: Yeah, that's a weird one, isn't it. Yes?
- 11:34Speaker 3: Should I laugh out loud at the theater show?
- 11:37Speaker 1: Yes?
- 11:40Speaker 2: Absolutely, Well, not like that you're not a fake laugh clearly.
- 11:45Speaker 1: Don't be a dick about it. I mean, don't drawl
- 11:50Speaker 1: if you stage the play from the crowd.
- 11:53Speaker 3: Has that ever been done?
- 11:55Speaker 1: I'm sure it's been done. Mini time know it's when
- 11:57Speaker 1: someone's eating like a packet of lollies or something.
- 12:00Speaker 3: There because I always eat packets at your house, feet baskets.
- 12:04Speaker 3: Listen to The Big Show four to seven weekdays Radio HODUK.
- 12:06Speaker 3: You
