- 0:07Speaker 1: From carrying each other to and Natty to carrying each other.
- 0:10Speaker 3: On the air, we.
- 0:16Speaker 1: Live from the Raising Kine Studio.
- 0:18Speaker 4: It's off the bench, all right, welcome back in hour
- 0:29Speaker 4: number three of OTB.
- 0:31Speaker 5: It is Tuesday at nine o'clock.
- 0:33Speaker 3: So you know we're gonna catch up with our guy,
- 0:35Speaker 3: Nick Underhill, New Orleans Dot Football. He is located right now,
- 0:39Speaker 3: parts unknown. He is in the car driving somewhere. And uh,
- 0:43Speaker 3: I did think we were about to catch up with
- 0:45Speaker 3: Spartacus from that thing you do with the shades on.
- 0:48Speaker 3: I was excited about it. He took the shades off.
- 0:50Speaker 3: You could have left them all man.
- 0:52Speaker 6: All right, here we go, I think you do.
- 0:55Speaker 2: That was that was based on Erie Pennsylvan anywhere I'm from.
- 0:59Speaker 5: So there you go.
- 1:00Speaker 3: I didn't even know that. See there you go, Eerie
- 1:02Speaker 3: Pa the drummer. They called him Spartacus. He had the glasses.
- 1:05Speaker 3: That's Nick Underhill.
- 1:07Speaker 5: What's up?
- 1:07Speaker 7: Brother?
- 1:07Speaker 5: What are we doing? How we hang? I mean normally?
- 1:10Speaker 3: Like you know, I know you're not a morning person,
- 1:12Speaker 3: at least that's what you've told us. But I mean
- 1:14Speaker 3: you're already on the move today.
- 1:16Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 1:17Speaker 2: I had to drop my paras off at the airport.
- 1:19Speaker 2: I said, I got I got radio at nine o'clock,
- 1:21Speaker 2: So pack your ship.
- 1:23Speaker 3: You gotta get out, you gotta go, get out of
- 1:25Speaker 3: the car.
- 1:26Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 1:29Speaker 3: Oh man, you were telling them, hey, I've got to
- 1:32Speaker 3: talk about Derek Carr again, even though I didn't think
- 1:34Speaker 3: I'd ever have to talk about Derek Carr again.
- 1:37Speaker 6: Yeah, that's right.
- 1:38Speaker 2: Yeah, Hey, look that was that could be a good thing.
- 1:40Speaker 2: You know, him of coming back, I mean, oh my god,
- 1:43Speaker 2: Like who would have guessed. You know, it turns out
- 1:46Speaker 2: that that shoulder miraculously got better without surgery. Really really
- 1:50Speaker 2: shocking development there. But yeah, I mean, look, it's a
- 1:54Speaker 2: good thing. Like they could probably trade him, you know,
- 1:56Speaker 2: I think it depends on where he's going, what they
- 1:59Speaker 2: can get. I kind of was like canvas in the league,
- 2:01Speaker 2: asking people what they think he's worth. It seemed like
- 2:04Speaker 2: the gut reaction was generally fourth fifth, like somewhere in there,
- 2:08Speaker 2: maybe a picking that range, but you know, it totally depends.
- 2:11Speaker 2: Like I think this is a good year to do
- 2:12Speaker 2: it too. It's kind of a one quarterback draft. If
- 2:15Speaker 2: you need a quarterback and you aren't getting for Nando Mendoza, Like,
- 2:18Speaker 2: what's Arizona going to do? You know, Pittsburgh's a team
- 2:22Speaker 2: that that if Aaron Rodgers moves on, like they always
- 2:24Speaker 2: want to try to compete, Minnesota might feel like they're
- 2:27Speaker 2: in that mix right now. The Jets are incredibly desperate
- 2:30Speaker 2: and need a quarterback.
- 2:31Speaker 6: So like, I think there's a couple spots.
- 2:33Speaker 2: There where maybe you can leverage that a bit. And
- 2:36Speaker 2: you know, I think as it pretends to the Saints
- 2:38Speaker 2: like nothing should change with their cap, where it would
- 2:41Speaker 2: get weird as if like the Saints refuse to trade
- 2:44Speaker 2: him and then Derek forces his way back onto the
- 2:47Speaker 2: active roster, which you have to do at a certain
- 2:49Speaker 2: point that would restore is I think twenty fifteen numbers,
- 2:52Speaker 2: and then maybe that changes your cap set up a
- 2:54Speaker 2: little bit. But I can't see it getting to that point.
- 2:57Speaker 2: You know, they kind of work together on the exit.
- 2:59Speaker 6: I am that.
- 3:01Speaker 2: They want to be compensated a little bit for what happened,
- 3:04Speaker 2: but I don't think they're going to try to hold
- 3:06Speaker 2: Derek hostage or anything. And you know, I think, you know, objectively,
- 3:10Speaker 2: I think he can still probably help one of these
- 3:12Speaker 2: other teams.
- 3:13Speaker 6: I just think that the saying's hear in a much
- 3:15Speaker 6: better place without.
- 3:16Speaker 7: Him to hear you say, potentially fourth rounds a little,
- 3:20Speaker 7: that's a little that's a little wild behavior for me.
- 3:22Speaker 7: I know, I could think fifth, sixth, seven, something like that,
- 3:25Speaker 7: And I don't think just like you mentioned it, though,
- 3:26Speaker 7: it's like I don't think they'll hold their car hostage
- 3:30Speaker 7: for any reason. I mean, he did them kind of
- 3:32Speaker 7: a solid right when they exited. It was like kind
- 3:34Speaker 7: of a mutual exiting. He kind of I think thirty
- 3:37Speaker 7: million dollars or whatever it was. I don't know the
- 3:39Speaker 7: structure of it. But he didn't take that when he
- 3:41Speaker 7: didn't have to do it. So I think it's like, hey, dude,
- 3:44Speaker 7: we can get a sixth for this team, or we
- 3:45Speaker 7: can get a seventh for that team.
- 3:47Speaker 5: Like which team do you want to get you?
- 3:49Speaker 2: The precedent here is kind of weird. I mean, like
- 3:51Speaker 2: there aren't a lot of these. There was Brett Favre
- 3:53Speaker 2: in two thousand and eight that ended up being a
- 3:54Speaker 2: third round pick. Gronk to Tampa Bay was Gronk and
- 3:57Speaker 2: a fourth for a seventh. Aaron Waller was a six
- 4:01Speaker 2: to seventh swap. Last year there was Marshawn Lynch when
- 4:04Speaker 2: when he went to Oakland. I think that was a
- 4:06Speaker 2: five to sixth swap the Saints when they traded for
- 4:10Speaker 2: Teddy Bridgewater. Is a backup quarterback sent a third like
- 4:14Speaker 2: that's you know, it's just kind of trying to place
- 4:16Speaker 2: it somewhere in there. It could end up being a six,
- 4:18Speaker 2: like maybe there was some handshake agreement, Hey, look like
- 4:22Speaker 2: we won't battle over the money when we want to
- 4:24Speaker 2: come back, like just kind of kind of be easy
- 4:26Speaker 2: on it. If this plays out that way, that could
- 4:30Speaker 2: be you know, part of it too, a gentleman's understanding.
- 4:33Speaker 6: Like so you might be right in not range.
- 4:36Speaker 2: It's just like it's a starting quarterback and he's what
- 4:39Speaker 2: thirty four or thirty five years old, you'd probably have
- 4:43Speaker 2: to give him a new contract.
- 4:45Speaker 6: I don't know. I have no idea honestly what it's worth.
- 4:47Speaker 6: Like my gut.
- 4:48Speaker 2: If you asked me not to research it and we can't,
- 4:50Speaker 2: mind of your hate, Derek car pops up and he
- 4:52Speaker 2: gets traded, I probably would have said, like maybe you
- 4:55Speaker 2: sent him in a seventh or a fifth or something
- 4:56Speaker 2: like that, so we'll see.
- 4:59Speaker 6: Yeah, I think you right though, I mean a fourth,
- 5:02Speaker 6: a fourth feels a little rich.
- 5:03Speaker 2: But if if Aaron Glunton feels like, hey, this is
- 5:06Speaker 2: the thing that's gonna save my career, maybe maybe you
- 5:08Speaker 2: can hold them to it. But I think it'd probably
- 5:10Speaker 2: be tough to get. I think it's probably it's probably
- 5:11Speaker 2: that five to sixth range.
- 5:12Speaker 7: It's a good point too, like like him and a
- 5:15Speaker 7: six or seventh round pick. Then you might get up
- 5:17Speaker 7: to that scratching that fourth round something like that.
- 5:21Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean, look, whatever they get, it's a win.
- 5:23Speaker 2: Like they somehow circumvented the cop last year, they got
- 5:26Speaker 2: thirty million dollars back.
- 5:28Speaker 6: You replaced them. You probably feel like.
- 5:29Speaker 2: You're in a better place and you gotta you got
- 5:31Speaker 2: a asset here, just like my thing is if you
- 5:33Speaker 2: got like a seventh, like it feels like you went
- 5:36Speaker 2: through a season and allowed your whole offseason plan to
- 5:39Speaker 2: get thwarted and you got pocket change.
- 5:41Speaker 6: Like, I just feel like you.
- 5:42Speaker 2: Got to get a little bit more when you're looking
- 5:44Speaker 2: at I think thirty six million dollars in dead money
- 5:46Speaker 2: on the books, Like you got to be compensated for
- 5:48Speaker 2: that somehow.
- 5:50Speaker 6: And if they can't, like you know, I don't know, like.
- 5:53Speaker 2: It just it just feels like getting into a car
- 5:55Speaker 2: wreck and not calling Gordon like you gotta you gotta
- 5:57Speaker 2: make sure like you're getting you're getting some money out
- 5:59Speaker 2: of it.
- 6:01Speaker 3: And this is Flynn's question, then I'm going to steal
- 6:03Speaker 3: here more trade value right now, Derek Carr or Spencer
- 6:07Speaker 3: Rattler in the Saints quarterback room.
- 6:10Speaker 2: Oh, if I'm a team and I'm trying to like
- 6:14Speaker 2: I am my team, trying to say my job or
- 6:15Speaker 2: am I or am I new new to a build
- 6:18Speaker 2: and I'm you know.
- 6:19Speaker 5: I'll say you're the King. Yeah, yeah, I say you're
- 6:22Speaker 5: the Vikings.
- 6:24Speaker 2: So if I'm the Vikings, I want car because like
- 6:26Speaker 2: I'm trying to one quick and I got a roster
- 6:27Speaker 2: and I'm not trying to waste justin Jefferson and all that.
- 6:30Speaker 2: But like and obviously you aren't making a trade with Atlanta.
- 6:33Speaker 2: But like, if I was a team like Atlanta, I'm
- 6:34Speaker 2: at the beginning of my thing. I don't have a quarterback.
- 6:37Speaker 2: I miss out on everybody in the draft, you know,
- 6:40Speaker 2: I'm probably I mean Atlanta is a bad example because
- 6:42Speaker 2: I'm rolling with Panics there.
- 6:43Speaker 3: But like a team like that, that's about the Dolphin
- 6:45Speaker 3: and you feel like the Miami Dolphins.
- 6:47Speaker 6: Yeah, Rattler, Like I probably Rattler there.
- 6:49Speaker 2: If I feel like I'm at the beginning of it
- 6:51Speaker 2: and I'm rolling the dice and it's like, hey, this
- 6:53Speaker 2: hits and we're good, and if.
- 6:54Speaker 6: It doesn't, I'm right back in the draft. I'd probably
- 6:57Speaker 6: rather have Rattler.
- 6:59Speaker 2: But if I'm trying to say myself, I'm trying to
- 7:01Speaker 2: get the eight nine wins, and I know, I know,
- 7:04Speaker 2: I know Derek Carr can get me to eight nine wins.
- 7:06Speaker 6: Like that. That's what he's That's what he's born to do.
- 7:09Speaker 5: He knows that world, he lives in that fire. That's
- 7:11Speaker 5: what he's born to do. It's just built that way.
- 7:16Speaker 2: So that's where I'm going if I'm trying to save myself.
- 7:20Speaker 5: All right, Okay, let's get off Derek Carr. That's enough.
- 7:24Speaker 7: Yeah all right, So any Saints new, Like the past week,
- 7:28Speaker 7: it's been a week since we talked to anything anything
- 7:30Speaker 7: jumping out at you, any alave news, anything that's just
- 7:33Speaker 7: any headline worthy news happening.
- 7:36Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean, like it's still it's still kind of getting.
- 7:38Speaker 6: Set to it.
- 7:39Speaker 2: We got the combine in two weeks so this is
- 7:41Speaker 2: kind of the dead period where you're you're texting people
- 7:44Speaker 2: and they'll text you back a picture of like a
- 7:46Speaker 2: beach or whatever.
- 7:47Speaker 6: It's like all right, like I get it, Like your your.
- 7:49Speaker 2: Phone's off right now, combines in two weeks when we're
- 7:52Speaker 2: out at Andy like that, that's really when when it's
- 7:53Speaker 2: going to heat up, like that Tuesday morning, you know,
- 7:56Speaker 2: when we talk like they'll be twenty four hours of rumor.
- 8:00Speaker 6: Is at that point, like there'll be.
- 8:01Speaker 2: Some good stuff done, like right now, it's kind of
- 8:03Speaker 2: kind of that wait and see period. So yeah, I mean,
- 8:07Speaker 2: I think it's just all kind of kind of on
- 8:08Speaker 2: hold right now. Like I said before, like I think
- 8:11Speaker 2: it's a guarantee the ELAAVE one gets done. And the
- 8:14Speaker 2: more and more I hear about that, like the more
- 8:16Speaker 2: and more it seems likely, you know, draft wise, like
- 8:19Speaker 2: a couple of rumors are stret in the float around
- 8:22Speaker 2: out there. Yeah, I really I really feel like right now,
- 8:27Speaker 2: you know it's it's it's Jeremiah love Is scale Down's
- 8:30Speaker 2: were best best available wide receiver.
- 8:32Speaker 6: I really feel like that that's the way things are leaning,
- 8:34Speaker 6: you know.
- 8:34Speaker 2: I think ruben Bain's someone you look at and I
- 8:37Speaker 2: know you guys are gonna hate me for saying this,
- 8:39Speaker 2: but I think the worst thing in the world for
- 8:40Speaker 2: Ruben Bain right now is he's gonna measure with short
- 8:44Speaker 2: arms and Will Campbell is in a national spotlight for
- 8:47Speaker 2: having short arms, and it might not matter at all
- 8:49Speaker 2: for either one of them. You know, I was talking
- 8:51Speaker 2: to toront Arms sad like he's talking about Will's set
- 8:54Speaker 2: and all that stuff.
- 8:54Speaker 6: Doesn't think the arms are an issue.
- 8:56Speaker 2: Arms might not be an issue for Baane either, But
- 8:58Speaker 2: I think like when you're looking at these exceptions and
- 9:00Speaker 2: people are looking at it and there's one in the spotlight,
- 9:03Speaker 2: I think it's bad news for the other guy and
- 9:06Speaker 2: someone I don't know, Like just at that level of
- 9:08Speaker 2: riskcott thing changes a bit. But that's just kind of
- 9:11Speaker 2: where it's at right now. I mean that nothing's really
- 9:13Speaker 2: moving league wide like this is this is the holding
- 9:15Speaker 2: pattern in two weeks?
- 9:17Speaker 6: Yeah, I mean his shoulder the fire.
- 9:18Speaker 7: Uh one thing we haven't talked about, and I don't
- 9:21Speaker 7: think we talked about this last week. I think it
- 9:23Speaker 7: happened the afternoon after you came on the show last week.
- 9:26Speaker 7: But Scott Tolzing decides to not pursue offensive coordinator job
- 9:31Speaker 7: for the Pittsburgh Seiler. I think that's a huge win
- 9:33Speaker 7: for a young quarterback room. Have you gotten the chance
- 9:37Speaker 7: to be around Scott this year and just kind of
- 9:40Speaker 7: see and like what I mean, obviously kind of a
- 9:42Speaker 7: coach on the rise, He's got a bright future ahead
- 9:44Speaker 7: of him, but decides to stick around instead of instead
- 9:46Speaker 7: of trying to take an offensive coordinator job, sticks around
- 9:48Speaker 7: with Tyler Shuck to be his quarterback.
- 9:50Speaker 2: Coach in the and Chase Hazlitt the tight ends coach.
- 9:55Speaker 2: Both of them made that decision like huge win, Like
- 9:57Speaker 2: starting at the top, I think is a huge one
- 9:59Speaker 2: for Kellen Mortar be able to retain his staff, Like
- 10:01Speaker 2: it really really good news that you get continuity there
- 10:03Speaker 2: and all that stuff, And I think it speaks highly
- 10:05Speaker 2: of Collen and you know, if you got to actually
- 10:08Speaker 2: believe in what's being built, like to to not jump
- 10:11Speaker 2: on the next ship for the next title for a
- 10:13Speaker 2: little bit more money, like hey, no, like we're doing
- 10:15Speaker 2: good here.
- 10:15Speaker 6: If this goes right, there's.
- 10:16Speaker 2: Better opportunity at I thought it was a really really
- 10:20Speaker 2: interesting decision because I thought he was gone when you
- 10:22Speaker 2: throw when you dangaloc out there.
- 10:24Speaker 7: Well, like potentially like Hall of Famer Aaron Rodgers potentially
- 10:29Speaker 7: as well. So you turned that down to the state
- 10:31Speaker 7: quarterback coach for Tyler Shark.
- 10:34Speaker 2: Yeah, I really, I really like Scott, Like, I think
- 10:37Speaker 2: he has good vision. I think he has a plan
- 10:40Speaker 2: for everything, and it just seems like he really kind
- 10:43Speaker 2: of fits what they're doing right here. And look at
- 10:46Speaker 2: not just the work he did with Tyler Shuck, like
- 10:48Speaker 2: Spencer Rattler was a much better quarterback this year too.
- 10:51Speaker 2: Like you saw growth from both guys. And you know,
- 10:54Speaker 2: the guys that we're working with them before were taking
- 10:56Speaker 2: over Oakland or Las Vegas. So it's not like Kubiak
- 10:59Speaker 2: and and uh Jenoko where bad coaches or anything like.
- 11:02Speaker 2: They're around good people. But I think you see that
- 11:04Speaker 2: progress there overall. I like Scott a lot, man like
- 11:08Speaker 2: and I think I think also that might change the
- 11:11Speaker 2: construction of your quarterback room if you take him out
- 11:13Speaker 2: of there, because he just feels like he's in the
- 11:15Speaker 2: right spot of being like young enough to be able
- 11:17Speaker 2: to relate with the players and kind of feel like
- 11:19Speaker 2: one of the guys a little bit, and also is
- 11:22Speaker 2: a coach, like, so there's there's that bridging there. That
- 11:25Speaker 2: they kind of felt like he was the veteran quarterback
- 11:27Speaker 2: in the room.
- 11:29Speaker 6: So if you take him.
- 11:30Speaker 2: Out and if you're replacing him with somebody else, like
- 11:32Speaker 2: now you need that veteran quarterback to be around to
- 11:34Speaker 2: kind of be that that bridge guy that that can be,
- 11:37Speaker 2: you know, the go between between the two things. But yeah,
- 11:39Speaker 2: I think I think keeping him. Look, if they do
- 11:41Speaker 2: well here, like his opportunities are going to be kind
- 11:45Speaker 2: of endless, and you're maybe around like the Whiz Kids
- 11:47Speaker 2: staff and all that stuff, and it's just a very
- 11:50Speaker 2: I just think it shows a lot of a lot
- 11:53Speaker 2: of maturity in that thought process, which you know, I
- 11:55Speaker 2: think bodes well for him in his coaching career and
- 11:57Speaker 2: all that stuff too. So just maintaining that staff I
- 12:00Speaker 2: think is a massive thing because it does feel like
- 12:01Speaker 2: they're building something and you don't have to start over
- 12:04Speaker 2: in any areas or all that stuff.
- 12:05Speaker 6: And just for collingto it just.
- 12:07Speaker 2: Feels like he was very deliberate and how he built
- 12:09Speaker 2: that staff and all the pieces feel like they fit together,
- 12:11Speaker 2: and getting another year out of that puzzle is a
- 12:14Speaker 2: good thing. If they have success, they're all gonna move
- 12:16Speaker 2: on at some point. But just a little bit more
- 12:18Speaker 2: runway and building this thing out, I think is huge
- 12:20Speaker 2: for everybody involved.
- 12:22Speaker 3: Catching up whether they got Nick Underhill New Orleans dot
- 12:24Speaker 3: Football here on ot B, Nick, I did get a
- 12:27Speaker 3: chance to quickly see you there and mobile for the
- 12:30Speaker 3: Senior Bowl and so being there all week, like you
- 12:33Speaker 3: were seeing all the guys out there during the practice
- 12:36Speaker 3: and obviously probably going back and watching the game tape
- 12:38Speaker 3: as well for the New Orleans Saints and the positions
- 12:41Speaker 3: that you know they are going to be interested in
- 12:43Speaker 3: for the draft coming up. Who were some players that
- 12:45Speaker 3: kind of stood out to you that potentially could end
- 12:48Speaker 3: up New Orleans Saints after we're done in Pittsburgh for
- 12:50Speaker 3: the draft.
- 12:52Speaker 2: I think I think there are a couple of guys that,
- 12:55Speaker 2: you know, a lot of buzz Saints related, Like like
- 12:57Speaker 2: Malc I feels obviously like you're looking at receivers. He
- 13:00Speaker 2: was somebody that that everybody was rolling over and I
- 13:04Speaker 2: know they were in particular, kind of caught their eye
- 13:08Speaker 2: a bit. The pitt linebacker I'm forgetting his name, Lewis Lewis,
- 13:15Speaker 2: Kyle Lewis. Yeah, he he had a ton of buzz
- 13:18Speaker 2: with everybody too.
- 13:19Speaker 6: And you know, I think there's a there's.
- 13:21Speaker 2: A very very real reality that that the Mario Davis
- 13:24Speaker 2: is moving on, and I don't know what you do
- 13:25Speaker 2: with that linebacker room if he goes. You got Stutsman,
- 13:30Speaker 2: you got Pete Werner. You're probably feeling like you're you're
- 13:32Speaker 2: moving forward with them. They feel good about some of
- 13:34Speaker 2: the depth players that they have on the roster there too,
- 13:37Speaker 2: But you know, Lewis might be somebody early day three
- 13:40Speaker 2: that you're looking at a little bit undersize.
- 13:43Speaker 6: He's interesting to.
- 13:44Speaker 2: Me too, because I feel like if you had like
- 13:45Speaker 2: a vision for him to be a star type player,
- 13:47Speaker 2: like you can maybe get him in some different spots
- 13:49Speaker 2: and stuff packages too, Like the range is kind of
- 13:52Speaker 2: crazy with them, but he's also very good in that
- 13:55Speaker 2: area of the field. Those are the two guys that
- 13:57Speaker 2: that kind of everybody was talking about. And then man,
- 14:01Speaker 2: the receiver you guys had on your show, like specifically
- 14:04Speaker 2: the D two guy, what was.
- 14:05Speaker 5: His name, Tyronn? Yeah, from D three j.
- 14:12Speaker 6: D three.
- 14:12Speaker 2: Yeah, he he was somebody they were they were talking
- 14:14Speaker 2: about to yeah, among among the Scotts and all that.
- 14:20Speaker 2: He was somebody that they were they were kind of
- 14:21Speaker 2: raving about. You know, I think he was a huge
- 14:23Speaker 2: eye opener that that event, man, like for guys like that,
- 14:26Speaker 2: like it's just it's it's invaluable, Like that's literally how
- 14:29Speaker 2: you go from like zero to hundred. I don't think
- 14:31Speaker 2: that there's a lot of actual like all this guy
- 14:34Speaker 2: moved his stock two rounds or whatever, Like there's slight
- 14:37Speaker 2: movements in these events. Like people like that like that
- 14:39Speaker 2: that's very like very very real. Those are the kind
- 14:43Speaker 2: of the big names buzz and like it was a
- 14:45Speaker 2: disappointing event overall because like so many guys weren't there
- 14:48Speaker 2: that were supposed to be there, you know, and I
- 14:50Speaker 2: think just due to weather and all that stuff.
- 14:52Speaker 6: But a lot of the guys.
- 14:54Speaker 2: I was hoping to see didn't didn't end up making
- 14:56Speaker 2: the trip. You know that the Miami ad dressers, both
- 14:58Speaker 2: those guys weren't weren't out there.
- 15:01Speaker 6: You know, just just.
- 15:01Speaker 2: A lot of people surrat didn't end up showing up.
- 15:04Speaker 2: But I mean, yeah, those were the three that kind
- 15:07Speaker 2: of kind of were opening eyes. The Auburn offensive lineman
- 15:10Speaker 2: was another one that kind of had a good amount
- 15:12Speaker 2: of buzz too.
- 15:14Speaker 3: You didn't see them, Nick, because we play our college
- 15:16Speaker 3: championship games like the week before the Senior Bowl now,
- 15:19Speaker 3: and they're like, hey, I'm going to take a deep
- 15:21Speaker 3: breath before the NFL combine. And next year it's gonna
- 15:25Speaker 3: be even worse because the championship game is until January
- 15:28Speaker 3: twenty fifth for college, So like there's gonna be a
- 15:31Speaker 3: lot of playoff players, not just championship that don't play
- 15:34Speaker 3: in the Senior Bowl, and it's like a great opportunity
- 15:37Speaker 3: for them to improve their resume. But until we get
- 15:40Speaker 3: things fixed in college, unfortunately, it's probably gonna be the
- 15:42Speaker 3: way it goes.
- 15:43Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 15:44Speaker 2: The other thing that's kind of interesting with these these
- 15:46Speaker 2: bowl games too is I think, you know, during our
- 15:49Speaker 2: heyday ten twenty years ago whatever, like I think the
- 15:53Speaker 2: value of them was way higher too, because there used
- 15:55Speaker 2: to be small school guys. There aren't small school guys
- 15:57Speaker 2: really anymore. Like, if you're a small school player, you're
- 16:00Speaker 2: transferring to the big school and you've seen everybody play
- 16:03Speaker 2: against each other already. So like the idea of like,
- 16:06Speaker 2: you know, like a John Carroll type surprise, like it
- 16:09Speaker 2: really does have to be like a John Carroll type
- 16:11Speaker 2: player that's coming out of nowhere, because like everybody else
- 16:13Speaker 2: that was, you know, if you're in northern Iowa. You've
- 16:16Speaker 2: made your way to Iowa by the time you get
- 16:19Speaker 2: to the end of your college career, if you're any good.
- 16:20Speaker 2: So it's just kind of changed everything over the years.
- 16:23Speaker 2: But yeah, I call college football needs to fix the schedule,
- 16:25Speaker 2: no doubt.
- 16:26Speaker 7: Yeah, that's a It's funny you bring up the tire
- 16:28Speaker 7: Montgommery thing because he's his goal was to, you know,
- 16:32Speaker 7: make it to do these different games, made it well.
- 16:34Speaker 7: His next goal is to make it to the Combine,
- 16:36Speaker 7: which of course he will certainly get an invite.
- 16:38Speaker 5: I don't think he has yet.
- 16:39Speaker 7: But it's a cool But you're right, you don't see
- 16:41Speaker 7: that a lot because everybody transfers up and moves up,
- 16:43Speaker 7: so that story is wild. So something to keep an
- 16:47Speaker 7: eye out for. But hey, look it's parade season. What's
- 16:49Speaker 7: your plans? You got any your parade? Guye do you
- 16:52Speaker 7: do anything?
- 16:53Speaker 3: You kind of look like, what is somebody from Eerie, Pa,
- 16:56Speaker 3: dude during carnival seasons.
- 16:59Speaker 2: I live two blocks off Saint Charles, So I'm out there.
- 17:03Speaker 6: I'm out there. Yeah, yeah, I'm out there. Yeah. It's
- 17:07Speaker 6: nice too.
- 17:07Speaker 2: You can go out, you can you know, you make
- 17:09Speaker 2: your you can pace yourself. You don't have to make
- 17:11Speaker 2: the twelve hour commitment like you, you know, do to
- 17:15Speaker 2: go home, show.
- 17:15Speaker 6: Come back out. Yeah.
- 17:17Speaker 2: So so we make it out there and it's great,
- 17:19Speaker 2: Like it's a great Timmy year. You know, hit up,
- 17:21Speaker 2: hit up, Heyel's that's top tier king Cake right there,
- 17:24Speaker 2: walk over to Saint Charles, check it out, come back home.
- 17:28Speaker 2: Great weather this year. So yeah, all of it, all
- 17:30Speaker 2: of it. Yeah, we're out there, we get into it.
- 17:33Speaker 7: Did you see the cliffs of Tyler shuck riding in
- 17:36Speaker 7: the pary and is he the kind of guy you
- 17:38Speaker 7: hate to see coming.
- 17:39Speaker 5: On a flood.
- 17:43Speaker 2: The velocity on those throws was outrageous.
- 17:47Speaker 6: He said.
- 17:48Speaker 5: Even he gave at least one stitch to somebody, no doubt.
- 17:52Speaker 6: No doubt. Yeah.
- 17:52Speaker 2: And I told him before too, was like I've written
- 17:55Speaker 2: before and like you could throw some beads to art
- 17:57Speaker 2: and you're like, you'll watch it just blast on in
- 17:59Speaker 2: the face and you feel terrible about I was like, man, like,
- 18:02Speaker 2: when you go out there underhand throws don't hurt anybody.
- 18:05Speaker 2: And nah, he's just just throwing those.
- 18:07Speaker 3: Nerve quarterbacks can't help themselves. I went on a float
- 18:11Speaker 3: with Flynn. We were the Grand Marshals of O'Ryan a
- 18:15Speaker 3: couple of years ago, and I'm like, Matt, why are
- 18:16Speaker 3: you trying to hurt these fine people of bet Rouge.
- 18:19Speaker 3: He couldn't help himself. We'll see a hordecker though, you'll
- 18:22Speaker 3: see me cross the street. Didn't hit anybody like He's
- 18:26Speaker 3: like I was trying to hit stuff, like hundreds of
- 18:28Speaker 3: yards used to be hit that.
- 18:29Speaker 5: I was trying to hit street lights.
- 18:31Speaker 2: But yeah, look I'm I'm a distance thrower for sure,
- 18:34Speaker 2: like and I'm trying to challenge myself. I turn it
- 18:37Speaker 2: into like a game, like you know, like I'm in
- 18:39Speaker 2: like doom and I'm trying to like hit targets from
- 18:41Speaker 2: far away, like yes, absolutely, but like I I, you
- 18:46Speaker 2: throw the big beads and like you just put too
- 18:48Speaker 2: much on it. You'll watch a wrap around the hand
- 18:49Speaker 2: and bust someone's face, Like I hit some lady bad
- 18:52Speaker 2: enough one time, like I did, like Twitter searches to
- 18:54Speaker 2: like see if someone busted about like bloody in their face,
- 18:56Speaker 2: like I want to do apologize.
- 18:58Speaker 7: So sucking bags of beads. He was like those suckers
- 19:02Speaker 7: weigh about three four pounds. Yeah, and he was humming
- 19:05Speaker 7: them and like the kind of guy throwing the beads
- 19:07Speaker 7: up there that I've seen people at ground level trying
- 19:09Speaker 7: to pull people off floats to fight them.
- 19:13Speaker 2: The awesome thing about it, too, is like you look
- 19:16Speaker 2: at the videos and it's just people cheering for him
- 19:18Speaker 2: and uh, side by side with Derek Carr's Derek Carr's
- 19:21Speaker 2: appearance at Marty Grove was the zombie float like, yes,
- 19:25Speaker 2: it's a different time. It's a different time now, Yes.
- 19:28Speaker 5: All right, there he is.

- 19:51Speaker 7: When it comes to the New Orleans Saints, I think
- 19:54Speaker 7: that's our third or fourth s bomb dropped on the show.
- 20:00Speaker 8: And like all from Nick too, No one from Flynn.
- 20:05Speaker 8: That's not the first time that Nick has done that.
- 20:07Speaker 5: No, no, no, it's not.
- 20:08Speaker 3: But see, it's like though you don't talk about it,
- 20:12Speaker 3: because they can go back and they can listen to
- 20:13Speaker 3: it and the station can get fine. But if you
- 20:15Speaker 3: just act like it didn't happen, then nobody thinks anything happened.
- 20:19Speaker 5: But now you're a nark. No, it's fine, it's just
- 20:22Speaker 5: he Will was enthusiastic with his yeah face.
- 20:26Speaker 8: Sometimes I don't catch it, but I caught.
- 20:27Speaker 5: That one, and I was like, it's fine.
- 20:30Speaker 8: Look made eye contact with you.
- 20:31Speaker 3: I mean, we're all adults carpool time. Who cares you
- 20:36Speaker 3: can say that?
- 20:38Speaker 9: Yeah?
- 20:39Speaker 8: Okay, I'm like, I don't care about the word, but
- 20:40Speaker 8: I also don't.
- 20:43Speaker 5: It's fine, He'll be all right whatever, it's fight club.
- 20:47Speaker 5: Didn't happen.
- 20:48Speaker 8: Yeah, everyone's heard that word before.
- 20:53Speaker 5: Stupid.
- 20:54Speaker 3: Sorry, and you couldn't say stupid anyways. Uh, I'm gonna
- 21:00Speaker 3: tell about rouses before we go this break. Actually we're
- 21:02Speaker 3: long for it anyway, so might as well tell you
- 21:03Speaker 3: about the great folks over at rouses. When you walk in,
- 21:08Speaker 3: keencakes everywhere, all different flavors, all different sizes, all different types. Yeah,
- 21:14Speaker 3: for sure, for sure, when you walk in, you go
- 21:17Speaker 3: your left. If you go to the one right there
- 21:20Speaker 3: that Flynn and I like to do the shows during
- 21:21Speaker 3: football season Fridays right there on Lee Burbank. Walk in
- 21:25Speaker 3: to the left, go get some sushi, get some breakfast,
- 21:27Speaker 3: bar rotisserie, chicken, oh, something for everybody. But if that's
- 21:31Speaker 3: not the location that's nearest you, you go to Rouses
- 21:33Speaker 3: dot com. You find that location, you find your weekly
- 21:35Speaker 3: ads for your store, and you go pick up an
- 21:38Speaker 3: easy dinner. They've already got it made. The sides are
- 21:40Speaker 3: right there as well. They've got everything and it's got
- 21:43Speaker 3: a local feel to it as well. So find that
- 21:46Speaker 3: Rouses nearest. You find those weekly ads, go have a
- 21:51Speaker 3: you know, a different piece of kingcake probably than you've
- 21:54Speaker 3: ever had before with the Doctor Pepper kingcake, a little
- 21:57Speaker 3: bit of everything with our friends over at Rouses. Go
- 21:59Speaker 3: to Rossesmouses dot com. More OTB when we come back
- 22:02Speaker 3: here live from the Raisin Kines Studio.
- 22:05Speaker 5: Off the Bench.
- 22:16Speaker 1: Two thousand and seven, Shams, Purple and Gold to the Core.
- 22:19Speaker 1: This is Off the Bench with Hester and Flynn Baton,

- 22:44Speaker 3: All right, welcome back here OTB Live from the Raisin
- 22:49Speaker 3: Kanes Studio. All gonna have Devin Snow join us here
- 22:53Speaker 3: in a couple of minutes. Last RBN our day, three hundred.
- 22:59Speaker 5: Went three hundred deep. That's a lot. It's a lot
- 23:01Speaker 5: of red beans and rice.
- 23:02Speaker 7: Six hundred years, six years six about something else six years.
- 23:12Speaker 8: That's crazy. That is a lot of Mondays though, Yeah,
- 23:15Speaker 8: six hundred years. He must be a vampire.
- 23:18Speaker 10: And he's never missed one. By the way, he's never
- 23:22Speaker 10: missed one.
- 23:24Speaker 5: It's called hell or high water there both.
- 23:28Speaker 10: Matt thinks Mondays only occur every two years.
- 23:30Speaker 7: So we're gonna go short this this segment.
- 23:38Speaker 5: Yes we will, so we can, uh, so we can have.
- 23:41Speaker 3: I know y'all are all dialed into Arizona going down
- 23:47Speaker 3: last night in college basketball. They were previously undefeated, number
- 23:52Speaker 3: one team in the country. They had every first place
- 23:54Speaker 3: vote in the AP poll. They had every first place
- 23:57Speaker 3: vote outside of one, and the coaches pulled. They go
- 24:00Speaker 3: down to Kansas. So no longer is Arizona undefeated. Now
- 24:05Speaker 3: there's one more team in the country that is undefeated.
- 24:10Speaker 3: One left.
- 24:12Speaker 5: Anybody want to take it?
- 24:13Speaker 3: Yes, we're talking about college college basketball, men's college basketball.
- 24:17Speaker 5: Carol No Florida, No Florida seventeen and six, number fourteen
- 24:25Speaker 5: in the country.
- 24:25Speaker 3: They're actually climbing their way back right now to the
- 24:28Speaker 3: team that they were preseason.
- 24:30Speaker 5: Taylor, if you get this, it's because you're cheating. No,
- 24:32Speaker 5: I don't actually know what.
- 24:35Speaker 6: Were.
- 24:35Speaker 10: People are high for a while, but they dropped a few.
- 24:38Speaker 3: Michigan dropped to Wisconsin. I believe eighty one seventy eight
- 24:42Speaker 3: about three weeks ago or so he was eighty one
- 24:45Speaker 3: seventy eight.
- 24:46Speaker 10: I don't know though.
- 24:48Speaker 3: Miami of Ohio, okay, okay, twenty four to twenty third
- 24:53Speaker 3: and eight peopole twenty fourth and the coaches pull Miami
- 24:56Speaker 3: of Ohio the last team that is undefeated. We haven't
- 25:00Speaker 3: had an undefeated team in college basketball since like the
- 25:03Speaker 3: late seventies in Indiana.
- 25:05Speaker 10: Well, did the Kentucky going defeed with Anthony.
- 25:08Speaker 3: Davis all but the but they lost uh in the postseason?
- 25:11Speaker 3: Or did they thought Davis won the championship or they
- 25:14Speaker 3: lost the game for sure? Okay, no, you know what
- 25:16Speaker 3: they lost in the tournament? Yeah, they were undefeated regular season.
- 25:19Speaker 3: They lost in the SEC tournament. Gonzaga I believe believe
- 25:24Speaker 3: the year they were undefeated. Maybe either lost in the
- 25:26Speaker 3: final four or the National Championship game.
- 25:28Speaker 10: I think it was that in North Carolina Natty.
- 25:30Speaker 5: It might have been.
- 25:31Speaker 3: It might have been either that one or the other
- 25:33Speaker 3: one that they won or lost in during the the
- 25:36Speaker 3: COVID year because remember Jalen sucks at the half court
- 25:40Speaker 3: shot against u C l A and overtime it was that.
- 25:42Speaker 5: What it was Baylor? Yeah, it was a Baylor they
- 25:44Speaker 5: I believe it was so sick.
- 25:49Speaker 11: Oh, Jake, we were talking about hand signals last week
- 25:51Speaker 11: and I was like, where is Jake to do the thing?
- 25:54Speaker 7: You know, Kingham there it is, you know, men match them?
- 26:01Speaker 3: Can't love that video one of my favorite things.
- 26:06Speaker 5: I love it so much.
- 26:08Speaker 3: Oh you got the uh see the horn Frogs have one.
- 26:12Speaker 3: They've got a rep in that video. Yeah, you're talking
- 26:15Speaker 3: about how most guns up Texas text got only.
- 26:18Speaker 7: People can't are the old Southwest Conference teams? I think
- 26:23Speaker 7: you I think we talked about this before. I think
- 26:24Speaker 7: you said maybe Louisiana Tech has one. Yeah, good dogs.
- 26:27Speaker 5: Okay, so they're obviously not south old South.
- 26:30Speaker 3: But to your point, like all of those teams like
- 26:32Speaker 3: TCUs here and then.
- 26:34Speaker 7: We're like it only teams only Texas team. I don't
- 26:40Speaker 7: think Oklahoma has one. I don't think Arkansas. All you
- 26:42Speaker 7: Texas people, you just you know, you're a little extra.
- 26:44Speaker 11: I don't even think well, because we were talking about it,
- 26:47Speaker 11: because he was like, I don't even think we should
- 26:48Speaker 11: have the L. He hates he hates the backwards but
- 26:52Speaker 11: also hates the normal L. And I was like, well,
- 26:54Speaker 11: don't all schools have a little hand signal? And then
- 26:57Speaker 11: we figured out that it must.
- 26:59Speaker 5: No, it's a very yes.
- 27:02Speaker 8: I had no idea.
- 27:03Speaker 5: Yeah, ban the backwards L. For sure.
- 27:05Speaker 7: I wouldn't mind being in the entire L. But the
- 27:08Speaker 7: backwards L needs to go. And I don't think we're
- 27:10Speaker 7: screaming it loud enough. I don't think it's kind of
- 27:13Speaker 7: hard to do. Well, you did it four times over
- 27:16Speaker 7: there on that. Oh, I have no problem doing it.
- 27:19Speaker 5: Tell me tough nuts. It's proud of my school. It's
- 27:24Speaker 5: objectively dumb.
- 27:25Speaker 7: And someone did last week say it's not backwards because
- 27:29Speaker 7: it's the right side your hands, your hands backwards.
- 27:31Speaker 3: Hey, if they're onto something, though it looks ridiculous, a
- 27:35Speaker 3: backwards L would be.
- 27:36Speaker 11: I agree this, actually, so okay, let me correct us then,
- 27:41Speaker 11: since people want to be nitpicky, I do agree that
- 27:44Speaker 11: the backwards hand looks dumb.
- 27:46Speaker 5: Agreed, Let's print the shirts.
- 27:47Speaker 8: Let's start them moving about the regular L though.
- 27:51Speaker 5: I would like to start the movement though.
- 27:53Speaker 8: I mean, but yeah, print the shirts.
- 27:56Speaker 7: We need a shirt hashtag for no more efforts out.
- 28:01Speaker 7: Then we tackle that, then we tackle the rest of
- 28:03Speaker 7: the l's. Sorry, I don't want your hand signal to
- 28:09Speaker 7: be something that starts that first letter of loser.
- 28:14Speaker 8: No, it's the first letter of your legend school.
- 28:18Speaker 2: No.
- 28:18Speaker 7: I just you know, I can't I can't not see Louisiana.
- 28:23Speaker 7: I can't not see when I see people do the L.
- 28:26Speaker 7: I can't not see the clean jerseys after the Arkansas
- 28:29Speaker 7: game holding up the boot trophy, throwing up the L.
- 28:32Speaker 5: Wow, just calling your teammates clean jerseys.
- 28:35Speaker 7: I mean I was one of them for four years.
- 28:41Speaker 3: It's not very I think we should uh pull up
- 28:46Speaker 3: on otb's X page. So O TB underscore ESPN if
- 28:51Speaker 3: I remember right, let me see, we'll put it out there.
- 28:54Speaker 8: Yeah, ob underscore.
- 28:56Speaker 5: You know something funny?
- 28:57Speaker 7: Do you like that L s U holds up the als.
- 29:03Speaker 7: There's gonna be a lot of recency bias in this.
- 29:05Speaker 7: I know already. Hey, with the bylaws let me show
- 29:08Speaker 7: you some funny in high school. That was our signal
- 29:11Speaker 7: too for Lee. Okay, so why you hating now, I'm
- 29:16Speaker 7: hating LSU do it?
- 29:18Speaker 5: Oh, but Lee can do it? Lee, Hi can do it?
- 29:20Speaker 3: Well, that was their tradition, So traditions have to start
- 29:24Speaker 3: somewhere sometime. At some point, Lee didn't do it, and
- 29:28Speaker 3: then they changed their name.
- 29:31Speaker 5: Change your uniform.
- 29:31Speaker 11: I'm putting the pull up and somebody added OTV and
- 29:35Speaker 11: they were like, I knew I could count on Matt
- 29:37Speaker 11: Flynn to talk hashtag Olympics twenty twenty six in the morning.
- 29:41Speaker 8: Let's go.
- 29:42Speaker 7: I haven't even announced that we got a new silver
- 29:44Speaker 7: medal USA all of us proud owners of another silver medal.
- 29:48Speaker 8: Oh, let's go.
- 29:49Speaker 5: In the freestyle skiing event.
- 29:50Speaker 3: Is it the same guy that won gold? It looked
- 29:53Speaker 3: like a name that y'all said already.
- 29:55Speaker 5: I don't know. No. If it wasn't my dad.
- 30:00Speaker 3: One silver, I thought he won't goal too though in
- 30:03Speaker 3: another event.
- 30:04Speaker 5: I don't know.
- 30:07Speaker 3: Anyways, when we come back, Devin Snow aka hold DeMeo
- 30:11Speaker 3: joins us here on OTV.

- 30:40Speaker 3: GOUESHI got the gallery of work right there on the
- 30:42Speaker 3: homepage because while you'll be blown away with the things
- 30:45Speaker 3: they have done, and you might see something, find something
- 30:48Speaker 3: that you want to add to your dream pool because
- 30:51Speaker 3: they do it a little bit different than everybody else. Now,
- 30:53Speaker 3: if you want a kidney shape, if you want a rectangle,

- 31:00Speaker 7: Man and ball getting close the pools, yack night. It
- 31:04Speaker 7: got a little bit email yesterday. My five year old
- 31:07Speaker 7: little girl says, hey day, can we go swimming? And
- 31:09Speaker 7: I'm like, well, it's still it's still February. But if
- 31:11Speaker 7: you get to a Russell Pools, make sure you get
- 31:12Speaker 7: a little water heater. Maybe you can go swimming in February.
- 31:15Speaker 7: Right there, go to Russell Pools dot com.
- 31:29Speaker 1: Locked in ULSU football twenty four to seven. You're listening
- 31:33Speaker 1: to Off the Bench.
- 31:40Speaker 7: That's answer dancing.
- 31:45Speaker 5: All right, welcome back in ot B. Let's go to
- 31:49Speaker 5: the phone lines.
- 31:49Speaker 3: Now, our guy, Devin's a k A hold the mayo
- 31:53Speaker 3: joins us now and pour one out last RBN R
- 31:59Speaker 3: day R and BR. Day number three hundred was yesterday,
- 32:04Speaker 3: Devin snow, how you feeling, sir?
- 32:08Speaker 9: Oh dude, I feel I feel like I just got baptized,
- 32:10Speaker 9: like a clean slate, you know, sitting here drinking a
- 32:14Speaker 9: Pure Greens cold Press juice with okay women, ginger kales,
- 32:19Speaker 9: you know, spinach cucumber salary. I'm thinking I'm not going
- 32:22Speaker 9: to eat none of that stuff, so I might as
- 32:24Speaker 9: well drink it. Get it out the.
- 32:25Speaker 3: Why speaking of eating, since yesterday was number three hundred,
- 32:31Speaker 3: I did see the video. Fantastic content as always, But
- 32:34Speaker 3: tell our listeners if they didn't get a chance to
- 32:36Speaker 3: see it on Instagram or on social media, what was
- 32:40Speaker 3: day number three hundred like?
- 32:41Speaker 5: And where did you go?
- 32:43Speaker 2: So?
- 32:45Speaker 9: Because it happened so quick, it came so quick, I've
- 32:47Speaker 9: kind of been thinking about ending the series or knowing
- 32:50Speaker 9: I was going to end the stages for at least
- 32:52Speaker 9: at least a year now, So I don't know. It
- 32:55Speaker 9: just felt fall away when I was thinking about it then,
- 32:58Speaker 9: and then it came up so quick. I went to
- 33:00Speaker 9: a Queen's Cuisine, which is definitely, in my opinion, the
- 33:05Speaker 9: rbon all Day that put the segment kind of like
- 33:08Speaker 9: on the map or whatever, because I had went there
- 33:11Speaker 9: in May of twenty twenty two, and by that time,
- 33:14Speaker 9: I was doing Audion all Day for two years straight,
- 33:17Speaker 9: every single Monday, and had never really like like it
- 33:22Speaker 9: had some traction, but it didn't have nothing great, you know.
- 33:26Speaker 9: So I had just signed a deal with Camelia Red
- 33:29Speaker 9: Beans a couple of days before I had to go
- 33:31Speaker 9: into a meeting with all the heads at Kamillia Red Beans,
- 33:35Speaker 9: and dude, like, I'll just never forget that day because
- 33:38Speaker 9: I pitched to them that this thing was going to
- 33:40Speaker 9: be big, and by the end of the meeting, you know,
- 33:43Speaker 9: I had them like holding their stomachs. They were laughing,
- 33:45Speaker 9: you know, they're just laughing a lot.
- 33:46Speaker 5: Yeah, And.
- 33:49Speaker 9: So they took a shot on me, dude, and that
- 33:51Speaker 9: next week after I signed that deal with Camellia, I
- 33:55Speaker 9: went to Queens Cuisine and it was the biggest episode
- 33:58Speaker 9: still of this day that I've ever done. So that's
- 34:02Speaker 9: what I finished the series with. And uh, it's cool man,
- 34:05Speaker 9: because like Pamelia Beans is still my sponsor to this day,
- 34:08Speaker 9: b to Ba, I've been having him for four years.
- 34:10Speaker 9: Still my sponsor's day, Blue Play Mass all these companies
- 34:14Speaker 9: would air for so long and took a shot, and
- 34:17Speaker 9: you know when I told him I was ending RB
- 34:19Speaker 9: and all day, every one of them said, all right, well,
- 34:22Speaker 9: what can we do next? What can we do to
- 34:25Speaker 9: help next? And it's just crazy. He's been familiar red
- 34:27Speaker 9: Beans dude, Like I just ended the red Beans segment.
- 34:32Speaker 9: The first thing they say is, hey, what can we
- 34:34Speaker 9: do next? I'm like, dude, it's just crazy, man. So
- 34:38Speaker 9: what a ride? What a journey? And opened up like
- 34:41Speaker 9: a lot of I mean, I've done a lot of
- 34:44Speaker 9: stuff that I dreamed of doing as a kid. I
- 34:47Speaker 9: mean just pertaining into the sports world. Think about it, man,
- 34:50Speaker 9: just being at the Super Bowl thing last year, at
- 34:53Speaker 9: the convention, you know, walking around people like like Jacob
- 34:57Speaker 9: Astor bro mat what like he this is stuff that
- 35:01Speaker 9: like I dreamed about as a kid, that RB and
- 35:04Speaker 9: r Day really kind of like helped pave the way.
- 35:06Speaker 6: For me to get to well.
- 35:09Speaker 7: I mean, I guess to follow up on the question
- 35:12Speaker 7: that they were asking, what is next?
- 35:15Speaker 9: Just like really challenges. So I filled up a whole
- 35:18Speaker 9: dry erase board the stuff that I just need to
- 35:20Speaker 9: get better at, you know, and it's stuff that I'm
- 35:22Speaker 9: looking at it right now. YouTube's one of them, you know,
- 35:25Speaker 9: more like horizontal content, more YouTube specific content. Social media
- 35:32Speaker 9: to me and posting stuff on social media that's like instinctive.
- 35:37Speaker 9: There's nothing really else to learn about that. I mean,
- 35:40Speaker 9: I could always do that, you know, anyway I go.
- 35:42Speaker 9: But YouTube Twitch. I'm big on the Twitch because I
- 35:47Speaker 9: firmly believe that GTA six is going to be such
- 35:50Speaker 9: a big error for society, dude. So I think the
- 35:56Speaker 9: first people on GTA six streaming GTA six, I think
- 35:59Speaker 9: they're gonna have a little avenue there. So that's something
- 36:01Speaker 9: I'm gonna do on the side as well. Obviously, I'm
- 36:03Speaker 9: still doing ACM Live. I'm still always gonna blog experiences.
- 36:07Speaker 9: So like when I go to Mardi Gras this week,
- 36:10Speaker 9: you know that the phone always runs the camera, you know,
- 36:14Speaker 9: so I'll do that for life. A bunch of people
- 36:16Speaker 9: that may be similar, that did similar things like that.
- 36:19Speaker 9: Frank Davis was one of them, you know, he was
- 36:21Speaker 9: always blogging. So I don't feel any pressure and I
- 36:25Speaker 9: feel good about it.
- 36:26Speaker 5: Man, Dev.
- 36:28Speaker 3: Inside the chat, they want to know, is the beer
- 36:31Speaker 3: that you have? Is it currently available?
- 36:34Speaker 9: No, it's sold out two years in a row. It's
- 36:36Speaker 9: sold out in a week and don't come back until July.
- 36:40Speaker 9: They only made like so much of it.
- 36:43Speaker 5: Yeah, so you'll supply and demand. We got to get
- 36:47Speaker 5: some more.
- 36:48Speaker 9: Yeah, we got to get it in the grocery, which
- 36:49Speaker 9: is gonna happen. Just got to keep selling out like
- 36:52Speaker 9: it is.
- 36:53Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 36:54Speaker 3: Also, Dev, I was thinking about you in San Francisco
- 36:57Speaker 3: because I had a chance to interview multiple wrestlers WW stars,
- 37:03Speaker 3: seeing Punk seth Rawlins, the Bella Twins.
- 37:06Speaker 5: I even had MJF.
- 37:08Speaker 3: From a w which I'm sure, like you probably know
- 37:11Speaker 3: exactly who that is, and so the wrestlers were holding
- 37:14Speaker 3: it down there in media row.
- 37:17Speaker 9: Yeah, dude, MJF is one of the greatest promo guys.
- 37:21Speaker 9: You know what I'm saying. He was really good.
- 37:23Speaker 3: He did not want to break character. Dev Like, I
- 37:25Speaker 3: kept like, I was like, I'm making you talk normal.
- 37:28Speaker 3: You're not gonna do this for the full twelve minutes,
- 37:31Speaker 3: and he kept like trying to get back into it.
- 37:32Speaker 5: I'm like, no, man, we're gonna let you be normal
- 37:34Speaker 5: here during this interview.
- 37:35Speaker 3: But you could tell like he has done that so
- 37:38Speaker 3: much that he would snap back into it and start
- 37:40Speaker 3: talking like he was on the mic in the middle
- 37:42Speaker 3: of the ring.
- 37:43Speaker 9: Yeah. That's the best ones though. Like when I watched documentaries,
- 37:48Speaker 9: they used to say, undertake it. Yeah, did not break character,
- 37:52Speaker 9: dude like you had like when you saw undertake your bro,
- 37:56Speaker 9: like he was undertake it, you know. Yeah, And that's
- 37:58Speaker 9: just the best characters. Man. It's crazy. Man, wrestling's so
- 38:02Speaker 9: involved now in like real sports too, when you really
- 38:06Speaker 9: look at cheth lounds everywhere.
- 38:08Speaker 5: I was like a host of Good Morning Football.
- 38:10Speaker 9: Yeah, dude's he was called. He was on the call
- 38:13Speaker 9: for the guy climbing the Taiwan, which is a whole
- 38:18Speaker 9: nother conversation himself. That guy, I mean, like so casually
- 38:26Speaker 9: bro waving at people.
- 38:30Speaker 5: I'm like, dude, somebody like that, though.
- 38:33Speaker 3: Dev, I'm like, when you wake up one day, you're
- 38:36Speaker 3: just like all of a sudden, I'm gonna free climb
- 38:38Speaker 3: this building with some uh chalk and prayers, and that's
- 38:43Speaker 3: gonna be yet.
- 38:45Speaker 9: Yeah. And then it's the chalk too. That's another thing.
- 38:48Speaker 9: It's like, I feel like if I was climbing a building.
- 38:50Speaker 9: Don't get me wrong, your hands are probably gonna get
- 38:54Speaker 9: busted up. But it's like, dude, the last thing I
- 38:55Speaker 9: really want to put on my hands is chalk. I
- 38:57Speaker 9: feel like that's gonna make me slip.
- 38:59Speaker 10: Huh, you do think so?
- 39:00Speaker 5: Like some of those metal railings he was holding on to.
- 39:04Speaker 3: Yeah, And it's just like in the weight room though,
- 39:05Speaker 3: you know, we'd always put chalk on our hands because
- 39:07Speaker 3: he had like some if you had sweaty grab you know,
- 39:09Speaker 3: he drives it up.
- 39:10Speaker 7: That's that smoother, nicer looking metal he us on those buildings, right,
- 39:15Speaker 7: didn't even think about it.
- 39:16Speaker 9: He just had chalk hanging out in like a little
- 39:18Speaker 9: back fanny packs. I don't know how it stayed in there.
- 39:22Speaker 9: I was like, how's this chalk like not falling out?
- 39:26Speaker 9: He just kept putting his hand.
- 39:27Speaker 5: Back there, didn't even look hard doing unbelievable.
- 39:31Speaker 9: Hey, you ever climbed the building.
- 39:33Speaker 5: I've never climbed building.
- 39:34Speaker 3: I barely trade Tyler one time he got to the
- 39:36Speaker 3: second story. It was the tallest building and he said,
- 39:38Speaker 3: all right, I did that.
- 39:41Speaker 7: Yeah, I think the tallest building goes like eight eight
- 39:44Speaker 7: stories up. Pal, So you want to take that saving back, sure, Bud?
- 39:49Speaker 5: H uh? Hey? Yeah.
- 39:50Speaker 7: The super Bowl is this past weekend, and I want
- 39:53Speaker 7: to hear your thoughts on the Super Bowl commercials and
- 39:56Speaker 7: how just the last couple of years they've really taken
- 39:58Speaker 7: a turn from funny to just you know, either the
- 40:01Speaker 7: serious or not funny or whatever it is.
- 40:03Speaker 5: What's what? What was your take on the super Bowl commercials?
- 40:06Speaker 9: What my take is the whole population is infest in
- 40:10Speaker 9: its brain every day with so much information that they
- 40:13Speaker 9: can't even be creative no more. That's my take on it.
- 40:17Speaker 9: Just absolutely dull in the brain, which dulls the creativity.
- 40:21Speaker 9: I know this is deep, but that's what's happened. These
- 40:24Speaker 9: commercials are not nearly as creative. I mean, I really
- 40:26Speaker 9: enjoyed the Lays commercial. I thought that was a really
- 40:30Speaker 9: like feel good commercial. What's the Dunkin Donuts one? It
- 40:36Speaker 9: was good, but it was like a.
- 40:39Speaker 5: Ben Stiller and Benson Boone was good.
- 40:41Speaker 7: I thought the card, Yeah, that was good.
- 40:44Speaker 5: That it was Oh.
- 40:46Speaker 9: Another one I liked was the Mike Tyson stop eating
- 40:48Speaker 9: processed foods commercial. But at the same time they share
- 40:53Speaker 9: and are they putting processed food commercials on during the
- 40:56Speaker 9: Super Bowl? That's that's like, that's like a favor, right
- 41:00Speaker 9: because it's like, dude, yeah, Mike Tyson saling you stop
- 41:03Speaker 9: eating it. But then they're still taking a bag and
- 41:06Speaker 9: putting the you know, nerds Nerds cluster gummies. Dude, you
- 41:11Speaker 9: want to die, go eat down.
- 41:14Speaker 5: Wait. I thought all that was going away.
- 41:16Speaker 3: I thought all the red dye stuff was going away,
- 41:19Speaker 3: Like we still got Nerds clusters out there.
- 41:21Speaker 9: Oh yeah, Shack just came out with his gummies a
- 41:23Speaker 9: few months ago. They filled with red forty dude, Shack
- 41:26Speaker 9: forty Shack forty.
- 41:31Speaker 3: Oh man, I uh, I didn't really get a chance
- 41:35Speaker 3: to watch like the super Bowl commercials. I don't know, like,
- 41:38Speaker 3: you know, serious when you had like when I did
- 41:40Speaker 3: hear that, I do you hear like they were like
- 41:42Speaker 3: kind of a.
- 41:43Speaker 7: Dark I want to laugh and I want to feel
- 41:45Speaker 7: patriotic when I watched Super Bowl commercials.
- 41:47Speaker 5: That's the two things that I want.
- 41:48Speaker 3: To I won't like frogs doing bud whyse er like
- 41:52Speaker 3: stuff like that.
- 41:53Speaker 9: Yeah, get some animals in that.
- 41:55Speaker 5: Yeah, talking animals, Yeah, talking babies.
- 41:59Speaker 9: They had a they had a few that could have
- 42:00Speaker 9: been so much better too, like when they announcing the
- 42:04Speaker 9: Mandalorians Star Wars the new Star Wars thing a right,
- 42:07Speaker 9: you gotta go, you know it's the super Bowl hot
- 42:09Speaker 9: on that. Don't just show me baby Yoda and a wagon.
- 42:11Speaker 3: Dude, Hall'm with you, uh, Dev, We appreciate you, brother, Uh,
- 42:17Speaker 3: congratulations on three hundred RBN our days.
- 42:20Speaker 5: That's incredible.
- 42:21Speaker 3: And of course we're gonna follow you whatever's next, and
- 42:23Speaker 3: we look forward to every conversation.
- 42:25Speaker 5: We appreciate it as always.
