- 0:05Speaker 1: Hello, go, just welcome back to the Give Them Lhi
- 0:08Speaker 1: La podcast. It is the bonus episode Happy Saint Patrick's Day.
- 0:13Speaker 1: I'd be wearing I know tonight we will be getting
- 0:18Speaker 1: buck wild. We're having Nick and Joe over to fix
- 0:22Speaker 1: a nice Irish meal.
- 0:25Speaker 2: Yeah, what is it? Corn beef and cabbage.
- 0:27Speaker 1: Something like that, and then I'm making green drinks, you know.
- 0:31Speaker 2: Yeah, we should make other stuff too.
- 0:33Speaker 1: Yeah, well you don't like that.
- 0:35Speaker 2: I don't love corn beef and cabbage.
- 0:37Speaker 1: Okay, well we'll make something else for I've always loved
- 0:43Speaker 1: Saint Patti's Day, and usually, like back in the day,
- 0:45Speaker 1: it was my best friend's birthday on Saint Patrick's Day,
- 0:50Speaker 1: and we would go up to Park City and stay
- 0:55Speaker 1: the night and just bar hop all of Main Street
- 0:58Speaker 1: and have the grit greatest time of our lives. And
- 1:02Speaker 1: we always went in the morning to the hotel and
- 1:05Speaker 1: we would get a little bit buzzed and lay in
- 1:09Speaker 1: the bed and watch like Lord of the Rings or
- 1:13Speaker 1: like Harry Potter before we got ready for the night
- 1:17Speaker 1: and would always order food to the room.
- 1:20Speaker 2: That was my get.
- 1:21Speaker 3: Ready, no matter if it's Saint Patti's Day or anything birthdays, yeah,
- 1:25Speaker 3: anything that you were.
- 1:26Speaker 2: Going to like it was an event.
- 1:29Speaker 3: Yeah, that was my favorite by far, was like going
- 1:32Speaker 3: even a staycation.
- 1:34Speaker 2: You go downtown and check into your hotel at News.
- 1:37Speaker 1: Vacations are the best and you just back in.
- 1:40Speaker 2: The day, Yeah, you'd have a little cocktail.
- 1:42Speaker 3: We'd go down to the bar and grab a drink
- 1:44Speaker 3: and then go back up to the room and just chill.
- 1:46Speaker 2: Yeah, have a TV.
- 1:48Speaker 1: I know, do people get Saint Patrick's day off work
- 1:52Speaker 1: or no, They're just going to work super hungover on Tuesday.
- 1:55Speaker 2: No. I think they're just super hungover on Tuesday.
- 1:57Speaker 1: And I feel like it's just like a known thing
- 1:59Speaker 1: that everyone's going to feel that way.
- 2:00Speaker 3: Back in the day when I was working in Utah, yeah,
- 2:05Speaker 3: we we had like.
- 2:07Speaker 2: A pot luck.
- 2:08Speaker 3: Oh okay, it's fun, like green drinks and all of that,
- 2:11Speaker 3: and then they would let us, like they let everyone
- 2:14Speaker 3: go at like two so you could go and like
- 2:17Speaker 3: be with your family, go and do whatever you wanted,
- 2:19Speaker 3: and you were.
- 2:20Speaker 2: Expected to be back on Tuesday. A paper want, paper want.
- 2:27Speaker 1: It's kind of hard to get to work when you're
- 2:29Speaker 1: like hugging your porcelain front.
- 2:31Speaker 3: Right, and it's even harder when you're just at work
- 2:33Speaker 3: hugging your dusk, not even.
- 2:35Speaker 1: Working, the point of even making people come in if
- 2:38Speaker 1: they're not going like you actually don't have them come
- 2:40Speaker 1: in and just don't pay wasting.
- 2:41Speaker 3: Money there is Like that was what I would do
- 2:46Speaker 3: if there was a drinking moment, I would look at
- 2:49Speaker 3: my PTO.
- 2:51Speaker 1: Right right, what's PTO paid time off?
- 2:55Speaker 3: See you've never had a fucking real job PTO, babe, paid.
- 2:59Speaker 2: Time I'm off. I know you guys know we love
- 3:04Speaker 2: some PTL.
- 3:06Speaker 1: Goddamn, that is so good, So I asked the podcast page. Yeah,
- 3:15Speaker 1: it doesn't have to be on Saint Patty's Day, but
- 3:17Speaker 1: when you think about Saint Patrick's Day, you think about
- 3:19Speaker 1: getting wasted hammud, yeah, Hamma for sure, you're out cold,
- 3:26Speaker 1: okay and puking green because they make everything green, right,
- 3:31Speaker 1: The bread is green, the butter is green. I don't
- 3:35Speaker 1: know if we should be consuming whatever dye that is, right, Yeah,
- 3:38Speaker 1: but we do, and it's fine.
- 3:40Speaker 2: We're all alive.
- 3:40Speaker 3: And while here is the greatest is walking on the
- 3:44Speaker 3: streets either night or next morning and just seeing green
- 3:49Speaker 3: vomit everywhere.
- 3:51Speaker 2: Repulsive.
- 3:52Speaker 1: So I just asked, I'm like, what are your drunken stories?
- 3:55Speaker 1: It doesn't have to be on Saint Patti's Day, because
- 3:57Speaker 1: there's a lot of other days in the year to
- 3:59Speaker 1: have funny shit happened.
- 4:00Speaker 2: Oh, we're gonna learn about our our pod in here.
- 4:03Speaker 1: Hell yeah, we are in college. Found out we had
- 4:06Speaker 1: boys over the night before when we saw it on
- 4:08Speaker 1: their story. The amount of times that I've woken up
- 4:14Speaker 1: and been like wow, without this phone, I would have
- 4:18Speaker 1: no recollection of what any fast night.
- 4:20Speaker 2: That was my first thing.
- 4:22Speaker 3: I don't know about anybody else, but like right when
- 4:25Speaker 3: Instagram was like I mean it came out when I
- 4:27Speaker 3: was in high school, but like when I was twenty one,
- 4:29Speaker 3: twenty two, twenty three, yeah, like.
- 4:31Speaker 2: Heavily drinking and going out.
- 4:34Speaker 3: The first thing I would do is wake up and
- 4:36Speaker 3: go to Instagram and just tap through to see if
- 4:38Speaker 3: I was on anyone's or.
- 4:40Speaker 2: To see if I posted anything.
- 4:43Speaker 1: Oh shame, the shame of the story and being like, oh,
- 4:47Speaker 1: my voice is so annoying. I thought I looked so cute,
- 4:50Speaker 1: and I look I was just drunk, ash shit, and
- 4:52Speaker 1: like I thought I looked so cute that I actually
- 4:55Speaker 1: saved the story to keep on my phone forever long ago.
- 5:00Speaker 3: No good, I don't do that, but I know a
- 5:02Speaker 3: lot of people will connect with that.
- 5:04Speaker 1: Yeah, most chicks who use the filter. And then they're
- 5:07Speaker 1: like singing and you think all is well, and then
- 5:10Speaker 1: the next morning it.
- 5:11Speaker 3: Is cringeing being sober and going to events where like
- 5:16Speaker 3: drunk girls are like doing selfies. Yes, and they're drunk
- 5:21Speaker 3: and you can just see it, and yes, I'm an eavesdropper.
- 5:24Speaker 3: I'll look at the phone and to see them, and
- 5:26Speaker 3: I know they're looking like I look so hot, and
- 5:29Speaker 3: I'm like, you need to open your eyeballs.
- 5:32Speaker 1: Drunk puppet. I know that looks. I had it a many.
- 5:35Speaker 3: Times straight in the back and don't smile drunk It's like,
- 5:41Speaker 3: what are you doing out here?
- 5:42Speaker 1: The only thing worse than drunk girls thinking they look
- 5:45Speaker 1: cute is drunk boys thinking they look cute.
- 5:47Speaker 3: There is nothing worse, Suicey, No, there is nothing worse
- 5:50Speaker 3: than seeing five dudes walking in a group to bars.
- 5:54Speaker 3: They're all fucking horny and Eastern and they're horrible.
- 5:58Speaker 1: Horrible humans. And college found out we had Oh I
- 6:01Speaker 1: read that already. It's like this sounds familiar.
- 6:05Speaker 2: I've read this chapter.
- 6:06Speaker 1: My birthday's March sixteenth, so I have many of these lol,
- 6:10Speaker 1: and one is we were doing a bar crawl and
- 6:13Speaker 1: on the way to the car to go home, I
- 6:16Speaker 1: had to pee and we were not going to make
- 6:19Speaker 1: it back to a bar, so my husband was like, hey,
- 6:22Speaker 1: just go pee in a bush, and since I can
- 6:24Speaker 1: barely walk straight, he was supposed to help me as well.
- 6:29Speaker 1: He ends up not helping much because while I am
- 6:32Speaker 1: peeing in the bush by some apartments, I end up
- 6:35Speaker 1: falling into the bush. So I'm just there laughing, crying,
- 6:39Speaker 1: sitting in a bush full of re pea grass and
- 6:43Speaker 1: my own pee. At least this is so gross. At
- 6:47Speaker 1: least I make it home. He helps me shower and
- 6:50Speaker 1: gives me a good birthday present that my neighbors probably
- 6:53Speaker 1: heard me from the drunken oral pleasure I had received
- 6:57Speaker 1: ten out of ten nights.
- 7:00Speaker 2: Woof cookie monster? Is that guy? Oh boy?
- 7:05Speaker 1: The fact that that whole experience got the two of
- 7:08Speaker 1: you rebbed up enough to want to touch each other after,
- 7:11Speaker 1: especially with your mouths, is wild.
- 7:14Speaker 3: If I was like, you just fell in your pea,
- 7:16Speaker 3: We're giving this forty eight hours of sanitation.
- 7:19Speaker 1: Minimum, Yes minimum. You peed in a bush and then
- 7:23Speaker 1: fell into the bush you were peeing in. I'm solid
- 7:26Speaker 1: for a minute also out.
- 7:28Speaker 3: Oh she did say that they went home and got
- 7:31Speaker 3: cleaned up, so I guarantee when he got home. I
- 7:34Speaker 3: don't know if he was sober, but he was like,
- 7:35Speaker 3: all right, let's get every fucking It was.
- 7:38Speaker 1: Her birthday, so she deserved it. I don't know. I
- 7:42Speaker 1: kind of am into it. So one time at a
- 7:44Speaker 1: work Christmas party, I drink a little too much. Last
- 7:47Speaker 1: thing I remember is doing a shot the tipping point, No.
- 7:51Speaker 2: Last one, no good. It's like the last roller coaster.
- 7:55Speaker 2: You never get on it, no where.
- 7:57Speaker 1: You're like, I could beat down right now, go home,
- 8:01Speaker 1: Go home. It's one too many overserved. It's the tipping point.
- 8:05Speaker 1: You're at the top of the mountain. Just stay right there.
- 8:08Speaker 1: One more and you're off. Especially at a work party,
- 8:13Speaker 1: I always worried about Well, I never really had a job,
- 8:17Speaker 1: so I can't really eight pto here, but I can
- 8:22Speaker 1: imagine that that would be a scary place to be
- 8:26Speaker 1: where you get so wasted that you don't remember anything,
- 8:29Speaker 1: and that is how you pay your bills. Is that
- 8:32Speaker 1: job you just hope that everybody forgets.
- 8:35Speaker 3: I will say I've been a part of Christmas parties,
- 8:39Speaker 3: work events, and that's.
- 8:42Speaker 2: Pretty much it. What do you mean they're.
- 8:45Speaker 3: Getting hammered baby like all of my Like just to
- 8:48Speaker 3: let you know, there was a stage. Yeah, and ten
- 8:52Speaker 3: girls drunk. Okay, my Christmas party got up. Three of
- 8:56Speaker 3: them fell off the back.
- 8:58Speaker 1: Oh no were they Okay?
- 9:00Speaker 2: They were fine.
- 9:01Speaker 3: But everybody's just drinking. But work parties, you don't understand.
- 9:06Speaker 3: Work is like family. Oh there more than you are
- 9:09Speaker 3: with your family, okay, eight to five, nine to five, six,
- 9:13Speaker 3: whatever it may be. I loved the people I worked with, right,
- 9:17Speaker 3: it was like family. So like for me to get
- 9:20Speaker 3: drunk with them, it was like, yeah, we're having fun,
- 9:24Speaker 3: like it because you work with them, and so you're like, oh,
- 9:26Speaker 3: we can't do And then you finally can go out
- 9:30Speaker 3: and have drinks with like your friends and family.
- 9:32Speaker 2: That you work with. It's like, I'm fucking going right,
- 9:35Speaker 2: And if you're.
- 9:36Speaker 1: That wasted, you're not doing it on your own unless
- 9:38Speaker 1: you're me.
- 9:40Speaker 2: No, no, you're rip roaring. Parties are wild, right, Ah,
- 9:46Speaker 2: we should throw one with the two of us. That'd
- 9:48Speaker 2: be great.
- 9:49Speaker 1: Then none of us drink.
- 9:52Speaker 2: That's all sad.
- 9:53Speaker 1: Not a one of us drink.
- 9:55Speaker 2: We could have.
- 9:56Speaker 1: I bought a shit ton of non alcoholic booze that
- 10:00Speaker 1: What was that one?
- 10:01Speaker 2: Though?
- 10:02Speaker 1: Which one?
- 10:03Speaker 2: The zero?
- 10:04Speaker 1: They're all zero? Oh, Hip zero, the champagne that we
- 10:08Speaker 1: got at Anna Jack Hip zero. There's a fabulous alcohol
- 10:13Speaker 1: Thai restaurant on Ventura called Ana Jack, and it is
- 10:17Speaker 1: so spectacular. But they have a somalier who's also like
- 10:23Speaker 1: top tier in non alcoholic wines, and he recommended this
- 10:28Speaker 1: champagne called Hip zero. I could not find it at
- 10:31Speaker 1: Benmo Bevmo. Good God. I tried to get Bevmo and
- 10:37Speaker 1: Venmo into and it was like brute. It was dry,
- 10:44Speaker 1: It gave you the bite.
- 10:46Speaker 2: It was like drinking an actual champs Yeah.
- 10:50Speaker 1: Which is my most favorite thing.
- 10:52Speaker 2: Like a bitter. I don't like a sweet like that tart.
- 10:55Speaker 1: Like, don't give me a non alcoholic bottle of wine
- 10:58Speaker 1: that makes me feel like I'm drinking Welch's grape juice.
- 11:01Speaker 1: If I wanted Walches grape juice, I would drink it.
- 11:03Speaker 1: I'm looking for something that is going to give me
- 11:06Speaker 1: a placebo effect. Anyway, we should do that. We could
- 11:09Speaker 1: throw a work party. One time I was drunk, I
- 11:13Speaker 1: was confused why chicken nuggets were different shapes. Sounds like
- 11:17Speaker 1: you were stoned.
- 11:19Speaker 2: You were on something I would love to be on.
- 11:21Speaker 1: No, but I can relate to that. When you go
- 11:22Speaker 1: to McDonald's and the chicken nuggets are all different shapes
- 11:25Speaker 1: and you're like, how did this happen?
- 11:29Speaker 2: Really like high school smoking?
- 11:33Speaker 1: Yeah, that's why I'm like that you were drunk thinking this.
- 11:36Speaker 1: You also smoked joint right, Yeah, that's a high thought. Yeah.
- 11:42Speaker 2: No, I'm having a thousand of them.
- 11:44Speaker 1: Well, it does make sense though, why you would think,
- 11:46Speaker 1: why are all of these chicken nuggets a different shape?
- 11:50Speaker 2: Cutouts different? Oh my god, I felt high for a sec.
- 11:55Speaker 1: I was drunk in a cab and threw up on
- 11:57Speaker 1: my arm to.
- 11:57Speaker 3: Avoid the fly.
- 12:00Speaker 1: The fine of puking in a cab good aim. Can
- 12:04Speaker 1: I tell you a disgusting story?
- 12:06Speaker 2: I have one with you.
- 12:07Speaker 1: I'm not even gonna say the airline because I relate
- 12:11Speaker 1: to this. I was so wasted coming from Vegas back
- 12:18Speaker 1: to LA and I couldn't get the puke bag out
- 12:23Speaker 1: of the thing, so I just puked all over the floor.
- 12:29Speaker 1: I was in the window seat, there was someone in
- 12:31Speaker 1: the middle and on the end, and then I took
- 12:33Speaker 1: out all the magazines and just put them put them
- 12:36Speaker 1: on top of the puke and no one could uh
- 12:40Speaker 1: track who was there because this was an airline that.
- 12:44Speaker 2: You don't you pick your seat on board. Thank god,
- 12:50Speaker 2: you're the reason why they're changing it. They're like, fuck,
- 12:52Speaker 2: give these.
- 12:52Speaker 1: People, it's happened so long ago.
- 12:55Speaker 2: Oh well, obviously you've been sober for six years.
- 12:58Speaker 1: Right, But it was I was. It's eight years ago.
- 13:02Speaker 2: Ago that open. I wasn't drinking. Highly anxious.
- 13:08Speaker 3: I was flying from Puerto Rico back home after a
- 13:12Speaker 3: work thing and I was just like anxious because I
- 13:14Speaker 3: was missing whatever it is. I got onto the plane
- 13:18Speaker 3: still anxious. No throw up bag. I had to dump
- 13:25Speaker 3: like I'm puking, dumping out my backpack on the floor.
- 13:28Speaker 3: And then I threw up in my backpack. I know away,
- 13:33Speaker 3: Oh I gave it to I walked it, gave it away.
- 13:36Speaker 2: Well, no, I gave it to like the flight attendant.
- 13:38Speaker 3: I was like, hey, I couldn't make the bag, so
- 13:39Speaker 3: I throw up in this if we can, and she
- 13:41Speaker 3: was like yeah, so she took it to the back
- 13:43Speaker 3: and then she was nice enough because I didn't have
- 13:45Speaker 3: a fucking backpack anymore, and yull, my shit's out. She
- 13:48Speaker 3: gave me like a delta.
- 13:50Speaker 2: Like handbag all.
- 13:52Speaker 3: My stuff in it, but that and I was in
- 13:54Speaker 3: an uber drunk and I threw up into my hoodie
- 13:59Speaker 3: and then I had it like that and then when
- 14:00Speaker 3: I got out, I dumped it, took it off, through
- 14:02Speaker 3: it away because I wanted to.
- 14:04Speaker 2: I didn't want that fine, and just.
- 14:06Speaker 1: Like that, I'm thrilled. I don't drink anymore.
- 14:08Speaker 2: No.
- 14:08Speaker 3: Yeah, there are moments where I'm like, wow, it's great
- 14:11Speaker 3: to not feel like that.
- 14:12Speaker 1: Yeah. There are moments where I'm like, I could really
- 14:15Speaker 1: really be down to feel that feeling. And then I
- 14:18Speaker 1: start walking myself through the process and I'm like, I
- 14:20Speaker 1: know how this story right.
- 14:21Speaker 3: And someone told me something that's stuck with me. Tell me,
- 14:24Speaker 3: and drinking is having today's and tomorrow's fun tonight.
- 14:31Speaker 2: Wow, no, see, not happening now.
- 14:35Speaker 3: And that stuck with me, And I'm like, cause it
- 14:37Speaker 3: really is like you have number one, you don't remember anything.
- 14:40Speaker 3: You're just having fun, I guess, and then your whole
- 14:42Speaker 3: day is a hangover. Ugh, don't miss it.
- 14:45Speaker 1: I can't even think about that. With kids, I would
- 14:48Speaker 1: oh no, thank you. My favorite was a friend and
- 14:52Speaker 1: I were so drunk she fell asleep half in half
- 14:54Speaker 1: out the front door. I passed out on the stairs.
- 14:57Speaker 1: My dad, who's a cop, hot up, dragged her in
- 15:01Speaker 1: the house and left her in the foyer and me
- 15:04Speaker 1: still on the stairs. Gangster. That dad, he's like, fuck this, He's.
- 15:10Speaker 2: Like, I deal with you. Motherfucker's only reason.
- 15:12Speaker 1: By the way, the only reason I'm pulling you into
- 15:14Speaker 1: the house is because I could get robbed if the
- 15:15Speaker 1: door stays open all night.
- 15:17Speaker 2: And that's why you're in the foyer. I just pulled
- 15:18Speaker 2: you in just enough to lock this door.
- 15:20Speaker 1: Not for your benefit but for my for safety.
- 15:24Speaker 2: In the home. And I love how like not a
- 15:26Speaker 2: blanket was put on any of them. Yeah, you're here.
- 15:29Speaker 1: You're here, You're safe. You know what, though, when I
- 15:33Speaker 1: was a drinker and a stoner, I still could not
- 15:36Speaker 1: go to bed without taking my face off. I probably
- 15:40Speaker 1: passed out without being able to remove my face maybe twice.
- 15:46Speaker 1: It gave me such anxiety. She even wasted.
- 15:49Speaker 2: Yep.
- 15:50Speaker 1: I had to get in pajamas. I had to get cozy. Yeah,
- 15:54Speaker 1: because you're already feeling like shit, and I'm gonna feel
- 15:56Speaker 1: even worse if I wake up and I'm not cozy,
- 16:01Speaker 1: Like I can't just pass out of my trip. That
- 16:03Speaker 1: never happened to.
- 16:03Speaker 3: Me seem like you know when you're with your friends
- 16:05Speaker 3: and they just walk in the house and like crash
- 16:08Speaker 3: on the couch, never hurt my teeth, brushed deodoran on, No,
- 16:13Speaker 3: that's true.
- 16:13Speaker 2: Wort's on for bed and then I can put myself
- 16:16Speaker 2: to bed. Yeah.
- 16:17Speaker 3: But if I wake up in the clothes that I
- 16:20Speaker 3: just had an event in that, I have no idea
- 16:22Speaker 3: what I did. I'm going to wake up in that
- 16:25Speaker 3: men like in that mental exactly.
- 16:27Speaker 1: Where even on the night that the night before I
- 16:32Speaker 1: got fully sober, I was in the bath scrubbing the
- 16:36Speaker 1: remnants off of my body that were going to remind
- 16:39Speaker 1: me of that night. Yeah, I was definitely Even before
- 16:42Speaker 1: I would smoke weed. I knew to bathe because I
- 16:45Speaker 1: became one with the bet of the couch and I
- 16:47Speaker 1: brushed my teeth even though I knew that I was
- 16:49Speaker 1: getting prepared to have a muncha thon because I had
- 16:53Speaker 1: the munchies so bad when I was stoned.
- 16:55Speaker 3: Same, but that was my best thing to get home drunk,
- 16:58Speaker 3: ash shit, get everything ready, brush my teeth, have my
- 17:01Speaker 3: little snacks on my bed. Yeah, I'd the pen totally,
- 17:06Speaker 3: and then I would just fall into his end the best.
- 17:09Speaker 1: Slumber of life. Right dyed my hair blue because I
- 17:14Speaker 1: was trying to do just a little piece of it.
- 17:16Speaker 1: But then I rinsed it in the lake. Oh could
- 17:21Speaker 1: you imagine.
- 17:21Speaker 2: That's another trip to the salon.
- 17:24Speaker 1: How would that work? I think you have to wear
- 17:25Speaker 1: a cap, pull one strand through is what you would
- 17:29Speaker 1: do for one piece of blue hair. I got drunk
- 17:33Speaker 1: at a carry Underwood concert. Decided my seats were too
- 17:36Speaker 1: far away, so I walked right down to the front
- 17:38Speaker 1: row like I owned the place and plopped myself down.
- 17:41Speaker 1: I couldn't figure out why there were so many seats
- 17:43Speaker 1: open down there. Turns out it was for the season
- 17:46Speaker 1: ticket holders of the venue. The guy in front of
- 17:49Speaker 1: me turned around and said he knew these weren't my seats,
- 17:52Speaker 1: but he would cover for me. I had to use
- 17:54Speaker 1: the bathroom, so he offered to take me. So this
- 17:57Speaker 1: guy sounds nice, so I'd be able to get back in.
- 18:00Speaker 1: Turns out we got to use the fancy washrooms, and
- 18:03Speaker 1: then he showed me the free buffet and open bar.
- 18:06Speaker 1: So glad drunk Sam is so confident because I ended
- 18:09Speaker 1: up having the best time. That guy sounds awesome and
- 18:12Speaker 1: also I relate to that because this person is Sam.
- 18:16Speaker 2: No, that's what I'm Yes, well that's.
- 18:19Speaker 1: What I do. Yeah, And there are times where I
- 18:22Speaker 1: think about like La La, especially drunk Lalla, and I'm like,
- 18:25Speaker 1: she's a badass.
- 18:28Speaker 2: When did I lose that when you put that at
- 18:31Speaker 2: the bar?
- 18:32Speaker 1: No, because I had it for a while after that, too, true,
- 18:35Speaker 1: there's something I.
- 18:36Speaker 2: Haven't lost it.
- 18:37Speaker 3: I think you're just in a different headspace right now
- 18:40Speaker 3: with kids and that will be back.
- 18:42Speaker 1: But I relate. And by the way, so cool of
- 18:45Speaker 1: that guy to be like, I know that these aren't
- 18:46Speaker 1: your seats, but I just want to have a good time.
- 18:49Speaker 1: What they're not your seats, but no one's sitting there,
- 18:52Speaker 1: so no harm, no fun.
- 18:53Speaker 3: She said there were a bunch of empty Yeah, it's
- 18:56Speaker 3: wild to just and like she said, I acted like
- 19:00Speaker 3: I own the place. If you walk in with confidence, yeah,
- 19:03Speaker 3: no one really will say anything if you're looking around, like,
- 19:06Speaker 3: are people like confidence speaks volumes? By the shit, they're
- 19:10Speaker 3: gonna be like maybe that person sold the ticket to
- 19:13Speaker 3: that girl. Y.
- 19:14Speaker 1: Yes, but I don't know why. I always I'm you
- 19:18Speaker 1: guys don't know this about me, But I am a
- 19:20Speaker 1: rule follower.
- 19:21Speaker 2: No, you. I'm like, I.
- 19:23Speaker 1: Don't want to get in trouble. I don't want the smoke.
- 19:26Speaker 1: I just want to chill and live my best life.
- 19:29Speaker 1: And I don't want someone to come down and tell
- 19:30Speaker 1: me that I can't do something, because then I go
- 19:32Speaker 1: oh and get away with it. Beat up my ex
- 19:36Speaker 1: best friend's boyfriend for cheating on her. You're a badass,
- 19:40Speaker 1: let's be friends. I drank so much one weekend. I
- 19:43Speaker 1: slept until six pm that Sunday. That sounds so horrendous
- 19:49Speaker 1: and so depressing.
- 19:50Speaker 2: Yeah, I'm no.
- 19:55Speaker 1: I was beyond drunk at a WVU football game, amongst
- 19:59Speaker 1: other antics that day, I ran up to a girl
- 20:01Speaker 1: being wheeled out on a stretcher and leaped over her
- 20:05Speaker 1: and proclaimed, looks like somebody's drunker than me.
- 20:10Speaker 3: Wow, I really needed that too. And I bet the
- 20:13Speaker 3: girl in the stretcher did?
- 20:15Speaker 1: I bet the girl in this strutcher was incoherent? But
- 20:18Speaker 1: I appreciate it. That's funny as shit. Oh and like,
- 20:23Speaker 1: what were the people wheeling her out and doing? Like
- 20:25Speaker 1: should we get too? It seems like this football game
- 20:28Speaker 1: is getting a little out of hand. Yeah, but that's
- 20:30Speaker 1: what football games are for. The tailgating of it all.
- 20:33Speaker 1: There are certain days in Utah that I go back
- 20:36Speaker 1: to and I'm like those days I knew it was
- 20:38Speaker 1: going to be fun, tailgating for a Utah football game,
- 20:43Speaker 1: Gay Pride, and Saint Patrick's Day. Those three days, I knew,
- 20:52Speaker 1: today's the day. It's going to be on and poppin'
- 20:55Speaker 1: and it's all going to happen during the like it's
- 20:59Speaker 1: going to be a steady drunk throughout the day. Sometimes
- 21:02Speaker 1: I couldn't handle it when it was just a night thing,
- 21:06Speaker 1: Like back in Utah. If it was just night, I
- 21:08Speaker 1: think I would overdo it and I'd be like whoa.
- 21:11Speaker 1: Whereas if I started in the morning, it was kind
- 21:14Speaker 1: of just like a.
- 21:15Speaker 3: Nice ball and then when you got to that five
- 21:18Speaker 3: or six you were almost kind of done drinking.
- 21:20Speaker 2: Yeah, you're kind of like I had my buzz for
- 21:22Speaker 2: the day. I want to start winding down.
- 21:24Speaker 1: Yeah, Like during football season, it's like no, no, no,
- 21:27Speaker 1: I don't do the like after party of things. I
- 21:30Speaker 1: ran full speed into scaffolding and NYC and broke a rib.
- 21:33Speaker 1: I was trying to catch a train public transportation.
- 21:36Speaker 2: What about?
- 21:39Speaker 1: And the hard thing when you're drunk is you don't.
- 21:40Speaker 2: Feel that shit No, that's a tomorrow feel.
- 21:43Speaker 1: One time I was so wasted and I was talking
- 21:46Speaker 1: to this guy and he was like, you have to
- 21:47Speaker 1: run off you're drunk. Like that's go out into the
- 21:49Speaker 1: cool air and like, run it off. I go outside
- 21:52Speaker 1: of Chandler's house in Foothill and I run. It's cold
- 21:56Speaker 1: as fuck, full speed trip and fall. I still have scars,
- 22:01Speaker 1: like dug out from my thumb, completely dig out the
- 22:05Speaker 1: top of my toe. It was horrendous, horrendous, And you
- 22:10Speaker 1: want to know who had to baby me was Dad?
- 22:13Speaker 2: He was very good at that.
- 22:14Speaker 1: I was so upset about the fact that I would
- 22:19Speaker 1: just go outside and try to run really fast, being
- 22:22Speaker 1: as drunk as I was.
- 22:23Speaker 2: Oh, it's not a sprint, it's like jog.
- 22:27Speaker 1: I sprinted and ate shit hard. So I think that
- 22:33Speaker 1: I'm glad that I'm sober. When I think about all
- 22:35Speaker 1: of the things that I did when I was drinking,
- 22:37Speaker 1: I'm like, you know what, this Saint Patty's Day. I'm
- 22:39Speaker 1: okay with having a Heineken zero Diet Green.
- 22:43Speaker 2: Yeah. Seeing everybody else get drunk is good enough for me.
- 22:47Speaker 1: Yeah. There's a few brands that I highly recommend for
- 22:51Speaker 1: if you do have a busy, busy day. Come Tuesday.
- 22:54Speaker 1: Heineken zero makes an excellent non alcoholic beer. Also Corona
- 23:02Speaker 1: and Estella Artois.
- 23:03Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 23:04Speaker 3: I just want to say being in the program, if
- 23:07Speaker 3: you are in the program, or anything like that, or
- 23:12Speaker 3: just be careful with Heineken zero because a.
- 23:14Speaker 1: Lot of well a lot of people, it's a trigger
- 23:17Speaker 1: for them. I'm talking about people who are totally normies,
- 23:20Speaker 1: but they know that Tuesday morning. I'm happy that you did.
- 23:22Speaker 1: Thank you for pointing that out. For those of you
- 23:25Speaker 1: who are normies and you have a long day Tuesday
- 23:28Speaker 1: where it's like they don't care that it's Saint Patty's Day,
- 23:30Speaker 1: you know, you can still feel like you're participating.
- 23:32Speaker 3: Wreck a beer and then have the Heinie zero, Yeah,
- 23:35Speaker 3: and another beer, and now you're just you're in a
- 23:38Speaker 3: great level field right.
- 23:39Speaker 1: Now, You've got a great leveled out feeling. You guys.
- 23:43Speaker 1: Happy Saint Patrick's Day. Please be safe, remember to uber
- 23:47Speaker 1: or call a lyft or have a designated driver, have
- 23:51Speaker 1: the best time and throw one back for me and
- 23:53Speaker 1: t t y. Yep, Happy Saint Patty's Day. We're gonna
- 23:56Speaker 1: catch you on Wednesday.
- 23:57Speaker 2: Bye.
