- 1:15topic.
- 1:16And that topic that we kicked off with
- 1:17was really, really cool, which we kicked off
- 1:21just the other day, you know, basically understanding
- 1:25the compassion, right?
- 1:28And so let's dive right into it.
- 1:30But before we do, if you are thirsty,
- 1:32hungry, if you're parched, if you are, I
- 1:35don't know, if you're anything, and you're just

- 1:52actually eat or drink?
- 1:53You can do that pretty easily, very easy
- 1:56to do.
- 1:57And all you need to do, basically, is
- 1:59to basically all you need to do is
- 2:02grab that and come on back to the
- 2:04show.
- 2:05All right.
- 2:06Again, it is such a privilege and pleasure
- 2:08to be with everyone on the Inspirations for
- 2:12Your Life show.
- 2:13I say thank you to everyone, I really
- 2:15do.
- 2:16One thing you may not know about me,
- 2:18I'll introduce myself, but I do want to
- 2:20welcome to the Inspirations for Your Life show.
- 2:22It's season five series, which is the show
- 2:2424.
- 2:25Episode number two.
- 2:27Well, I'm John Morley.
- 2:28I'm a serial entrepreneur.

- 2:30I am a marketing specialist.
- 2:32I'm a video producer.
- 2:34I'm a podcast host, coach, keynote speaker, graduate
- 2:37student, passionate lifelong learner, and I'm so grateful
- 2:40to be a published author.
- 2:41Today's episode is titled Understanding Compassion Over Criticism.
- 2:46Yes.
- 2:46Before we get going, a new segment on
- 2:49the Inspirations for Your Life show.
- 2:50We've been doing some shows, actually, as you
- 2:53know, in studios, some when I'm traveling and
- 2:56other locations, but we're broadening out here in
- 2:582026 and we're reaching out to the local
- 3:01New Jersey community.
- 3:02Today, we have a shout out to a
- 3:05local pastry place and we want to give
- 3:09them a shout out because they are family
- 3:12run, but also because we'd like to ask
- 3:14them to invite us to come in to
- 3:16shoot a live show.
- 3:18We picked this week, we picked the Artist
- 3:20Baker.
- 3:22It's a bakery cafe.
- 3:23The Artist Baker is located at 16 Catano
- 3:25Avenue in Morristown, New Jersey.
- 3:27It's located just off the green and behind
- 3:29the Century 21 department store there.
- 3:32All their products are crafted in their own
- 3:34kitchen, from cakes and pastries to their preserves
- 3:38and even pickles.
- 3:39The Artist Baker opened in 2009 and apparently
- 3:42they have a lot of delicious baked goods
- 3:44and pastries and they say you're going to
- 3:45enjoy the experience.
- 3:47We want to take this opportunity to, first
- 3:51of all, welcome them and give them a
- 3:54shout out.
- 3:54You definitely want to check them out.
- 3:56They are at 16 Catano Avenue, Morristown, New
- 3:59Jersey, 973-267-5540.

- 4:07guys to consider us to shoot a live
- 4:10show at your facility.
- 4:12There is no cost to do the show.
- 4:14The show is basically about 27, 28 minutes.
- 4:18The whole process will take about an hour
- 4:19with our setup, which is 15 minutes for
- 4:22setup and 15 minutes for breakdown and then
- 4:2427 minutes for the show.
- 4:26Anybody is welcome to come and anybody is
- 4:29welcome to come on camera if they so

- 4:41we look forward to hopefully being invited to
- 4:43shoot a live show at your place.

- 4:48easy.

- 4:57request put in, you know, you were invited
- 4:59by us to do a show at your
- 5:04location.
- 5:05So we would love to do that.
- 5:07All right, guys.
- 5:08So again, big shout out to them.
- 5:10Thank you so much for all you do.
- 5:11And so, you know, Leigh Shulman, in a
- 5:13world that reacts quickly and judges even faster,
- 5:16choosing compassion is not just powerful, it is
- 5:19necessary.
- 5:20Let's walk through about 30 key truths that
- 5:23can transform how you show up in your
- 5:25life and for others.
- 5:26Because, you know, sometimes we don't show up
- 5:28because other people stop us.
- 5:30You know, that's no excuse, guys.
- 5:31No excuse.
- 5:32Okay.
- 5:32You never know what someone is carrying or
- 5:35what they're going to say, but that should
- 5:36not impact what you're going to do.
- 5:39Most people need support, not a lecture.
- 5:41I get it.
- 5:42Right.
- 5:42So judgment is easy.
- 5:44Understanding takes courage.
- 5:45And I think some people are like, oh,
- 5:46wait a minute, I might have done something
- 5:48wrong or I might need to get, what's
- 5:51that big F word, feedback.
- 5:53And people fear feedback because they don't realize
- 5:57it's part of life.
- 5:58It's part of growing.
- 5:59Now, ladies and gentlemen, you can disagree without
- 6:03dehumanizing someone.
- 6:05I mean, I've known people, been in fields
- 6:08for a long time where people literally demean
- 6:11others because, well, they get their job, at
- 6:13least it'd be nasty to people.
- 6:15And I'm here to tell you, it should
- 6:17be consistent, constructive feedback.
- 6:19It should never be dehumanizing feedback.
- 6:24It costs nothing, guys, to be kind.
- 6:26So my question is, why aren't people kind?
- 6:29All right.
- 6:30That's a very good question.
- 6:30And the reason people aren't kind, I'm going
- 6:32to tell you, they're selfish.
- 6:35That's it.
- 6:35They're selfish.
- 6:37It costs nothing to be kind, nothing, absolutely
- 6:41nothing.
- 6:42You don't have to clap back at everything
- 6:46that happens.
- 6:47You don't even have to agree with everything
- 6:49they say.
- 6:49You can actually agree to disagree.
- 6:51I remember many years ago when I didn't
- 6:53agree with someone, I said, you know, I'd
- 6:55like to agree.
- 6:56Oh, that's great.
- 6:58I'd like to agree to disagree with you.
- 7:00I'm like, huh?
- 7:01I understand what you're saying.
- 7:03And I also disagree with what you're saying.
- 7:06So I respect what you're saying, but I
- 7:08don't agree with it directly.
- 7:09Now, guys, not every mistake needs a public
- 7:13dragging, just being honest.
- 7:15Treat people like they're more than their worst
- 7:18day.
- 7:19Curiosity, what happened?
- 7:22Beats assumptions.
- 7:23I know exactly who you are is where
- 7:25it comes from, right?
- 7:26You can set boundaries and still be compassionate
- 7:29every single day.
- 7:31All right.
- 7:31But a lot of people, they get stuck
- 7:33in this mode.
- 7:33So let's pause for just a moment if
- 7:36we could there.
- 7:38Compassion does not mean weakness.
- 7:40It does not mean you accept everything.
- 7:42It means you choose a higher ground or
- 7:45a level of awareness in how you choose
- 7:47to respond.
- 7:48It's a choice.
- 7:49Our life is a choice.
- 7:50Now, let's just continue for a moment, OK?
- 7:53Holding people accountable does not mean putting them
- 7:56hostage, does not mean humiliating them, does not
- 8:00mean demeaning them, does not mean harming them,
- 8:04hurting them, harassing them.
- 8:07There's a whole plethora of them hazing them,
- 8:11right?
- 8:11Being rude to them.
- 8:12Absolutely, absolutely not.
- 8:15Compassion is not weakness, guys.
- 8:16It is emotional intelligence.
- 8:19And I think the quicker our world wakes
- 8:20up to that, the quicker life is going
- 8:22to change for people.
- 8:23You need a second chance before, too.
- 8:26So why aren't you willing to give somebody
- 8:28a second chance, right?
- 8:29I'm not perfect.
- 8:31I know a lot of the people in
- 8:32this world, they're not perfect.
- 8:33I know a lot of people claim to
- 8:34be perfect.
- 8:35They probably are not.
- 8:37Speaking softly can land harder than shouting.
- 8:41I think people shout, I'll tell you why,
- 8:43because they feel that if they shout, they're
- 8:46going to get the most.
- 8:49Really, they're going to come off like an
- 8:50idiot.
- 8:51I'm just being honest.
- 8:54And I think we have to ask ourselves
- 8:56a question.
- 8:57Are we trying to do what we're doing
- 8:59to help somebody, or are we trying to
- 9:00create a scene?
- 9:02That's really the problem.
- 9:03I have another one for you.
- 9:04Are you okay, ladies and gentlemen, is a
- 9:07powerful question.
- 9:08And sometimes people don't ask it in the
- 9:12manner you think it is for if you're
- 9:14okay.
- 9:14They're using it as a power contortion.
- 9:17You can be right and still be kind.
- 9:20Empathy will build trust every single day of
- 9:22your life.
- 9:23Shame builds silence.
- 9:24Everybody is learning in real time.
- 9:27And you're not required to have a harsh
- 9:30opinion.
- 9:31If you disagree with something, you're okay to
- 9:35disagree with something.
- 9:36But it doesn't mean that you need to,
- 9:38like I said, shame everybody, embarrass people.
- 9:41But yet I see people doing this.
- 9:43Maybe they think that if they do this,
- 9:45they're going to protect their own stature.
- 9:47Really what they're doing is they're slowly eroding
- 9:50the little bit of trust and reputation that
- 9:53they still have and dignity.
- 9:56Sometimes ladies and gentlemen, the kindest thing is
- 9:58listening.
- 10:00Think about that for a moment.
- 10:02How often do we listen to respond?
- 10:05Instead of listening to understand, right?
- 10:08Most people, they're listening so they can butt
- 10:10in with what they want to say.
- 10:12Is that really great?
- 10:14No.
- 10:16People do it every day though.
- 10:19People think it's about power.
- 10:22Okay.
- 10:22They think it's about power.
- 10:23And that power, I think, hurts a lot
- 10:26of people because they don't get what they're
- 10:28expecting.
- 10:29They don't get what they're expecting.
- 10:30So I think when we think about other
- 10:33people, all right, and we think about maybe
- 10:36something they're doing, okay?
- 10:38Maybe they're doing something, maybe they're trying to
- 10:40copy us, right?
- 10:41Maybe they're trying to do something to become
- 10:45better, but they're using our magic glue in
- 10:49place.
- 10:50As long as it's not copyrighted, no big
- 10:52deal, right?
- 10:53But I know people do this and then
- 10:56they don't give credit back for the people
- 10:58they got the idea from.
- 11:00And I think that's a very big problem
- 11:02in today's age.
- 11:04We get the success, we get the accolades,
- 11:08we get the praise, but then we don't
- 11:11have the decency to say, hey, you know,
- 11:15I was talking to X yesterday and I
- 11:17got this idea.
- 11:19I think that's an amazing one.
- 11:24And I want to tell you that it's
- 11:26about listening.
- 11:30It's about being human, okay?
- 11:33People say, oh, well, John, they're not going
- 11:34to make a profit if we're human.
- 11:36I got news for you.
- 11:38If you are human, if you act with
- 11:41authenticity, if you act with who you really
- 11:43are and not with who you're pretending to
- 11:46be, people are going to like you more.
- 11:49People are going to want to be around
- 11:51you, right?
- 11:53That's hard for many people to, let's say,
- 11:57rationalize, but it is the truth.
- 12:01And when we can understand something and we
- 12:05can think about it and we can know
- 12:08that that made us better, that's great.
- 12:11But when something's not going right, I'll give
- 12:14you a perfect example.
- 12:15I was in a car the other day
- 12:17going to the airport and the driver, which
- 12:22I use, I think it was, I'm not
- 12:24going to mention which car service, but it
- 12:25was one of the car services.
- 12:27And I was going to the airport and
- 12:31I said to the driver, you know, make
- 12:32this first ride, it'll be easier when you
- 12:34come out of here, go through this parking
- 12:35lot.
- 12:36Then when I told him, come out, make
- 12:37the first ride on 287.
- 12:38Okay, okay, okay.
- 12:40He goes past 287.
- 12:43I said, excuse me, sir, I mean, yeah,
- 12:44yeah, don't worry.
- 12:45He goes, he goes, be quiet a little
- 12:46bit.
- 12:47He's like, I'm going the other way.
- 12:48Please, please let me do my thing.
- 12:51And I'll bet you, but I was very
- 12:53disappointed with that.
- 12:57Did that mean I was going to be
- 12:58rude to him?
- 12:59No, but I did stop talking to him
- 13:01for that whole ride.
- 13:02I was annoyed that he didn't take my
- 13:05way.
- 13:05He took me through towns that were not
- 13:08safe at very early hours in the morning.
- 13:10And as a customer, as a client, I
- 13:13have a right to the way I want
- 13:15to be traveling.
- 13:16Well, this way is less miles.
- 13:19My way was less time and it was
- 13:21safer.
- 13:22Okay, the way he took me was through
- 13:24inner cities.
- 13:26And when it came time for his evaluation,
- 13:28I didn't give him an F.
- 13:30I gave him a four to five.
- 13:31I should have given him a three, but
- 13:32I said, you know, I can't let my
- 13:34ego make the decision.
- 13:35He does get a four because he was
- 13:37not fair to me.
- 13:41I did still give him a tip.
- 13:42I still gave him 15%, not the typical
- 13:4420.
- 13:45And I didn't give him 10.
- 13:45I said he deserved to get some.
- 13:47I gave him 15.
- 13:47But my point is, it didn't pay for
- 13:51me to get upset.
- 13:52It didn't pay for me to get angry.
- 13:54All I did was I took a nice
- 13:55little paragraph that I wrote after I got
- 13:57out of the car at North Liberty International
- 13:59Airport.
- 14:00And I wrote to them and I said,
- 14:01hey, after I put all this down very
- 14:03nicely, please don't ever match me with this
- 14:06person again.
- 14:08So you can actually get your point across
- 14:10without coming across as rude, inconsiderate.
- 14:17And today, most people think the only way
- 14:20you can get your point across is to
- 14:21be rude.
- 14:22I'm here to tell you guys that does
- 14:24not mean that all the time.
- 14:29Sometimes people think that if you're quiet, it's
- 14:33not going to go anywhere.
- 14:33I think most people feel
- 14:44that if you're one voice, you're not going
- 14:47to have an impact.
- 14:49I was at a donut shop for National
- 14:52Donut Day on Friday.
- 14:56And I was doing my donut tour.
- 14:58And one of the donut shops I stopped
- 15:00at was a Dunkin' Donut shop.
- 15:01I'm not going to tell you which store.
- 15:04But I was at the store and I
- 15:06asked for my donut.
- 15:07It was like the last stop.
- 15:08I stopped at like four or five donut
- 15:10places, some bakers, et cetera.
- 15:11And I stopped at this place and I
- 15:14said, I'll have a donut.
- 15:15I'll have a cinnamon jelly donut.
- 15:21He goes, what do you want to buy
- 15:23the drink?
- 15:24I said, nothing.
- 15:25He goes, oh, you don't buy a drink.
- 15:27You don't get a donut.
- 15:29That's what I mean.
- 15:30He said, oh, we're participating, but you have
- 15:31to buy something first.
- 15:33So I politely said, OK, I will make
- 15:35a note.
- 15:36I'll tell my father.
- 15:36I said, what do you mean?
- 15:36I'm just making a note here, letting people
- 15:39know in town that this Dunkin' Donuts does
- 15:42not participate in the National Free Donut Day.
- 15:46You are required to make a purchase.
- 15:48And I'm going to put that in my
- 15:49notes when I post later.
- 15:53I'm not even five feet from the doors.
- 15:55Whoa, whoa, whoa.
- 15:55Come back, come back, come back.
- 15:56He goes, here's your donut.
- 15:57He said, you take the donut.
- 15:58He said, don't say anything bad about us.
- 16:00Now, when I post content, for those who
- 16:02don't know me, I don't post things to
- 16:04be belligerent.
- 16:07I post the truth about what's happening to
- 16:10me, whether it's good or whether it's bad.
- 16:14And I usually don't put people's names.
- 16:16I just put the store name, you know,
- 16:20and I usually don't even put that on
- 16:22camera.
- 16:23But I just usually tag and say I
- 16:25had didn't have a great experience here.
- 16:28And so why did that change?
- 16:31Well, he knows I have thousands of followers.
- 16:33He doesn't want me putting that video up
- 16:36of me saying something.
- 16:38And I think it's sad when that becomes
- 16:42the crux point, right?
- 16:45So these are very important things that a
- 16:48lot of people, I think, you know, they
- 16:49stumble upon.
- 16:50So let's bring all this home, right?
- 16:53Because we've talked about a lot, right?
- 16:56People can manipulate you day in and day
- 16:59out.
- 16:59And that is unfair.
- 17:02Will it get you to stop doing what
- 17:05you want to do?
- 17:06Yeah, it will.
- 17:08I was at church the other day and
- 17:12I'm talking to my mom.
- 17:17I'm not talking very loudly.
- 17:18And this guy comes out of nowhere.
- 17:20And I've seen this guy before.
- 17:21He goes, oh, you're back in town again.
- 17:25He goes, oh, he says, can you not
- 17:28talk?
- 17:29Or if you guys didn't talk, could you
- 17:29like go outside there?
- 17:30Because your voice echoes all through the church.
- 17:34He wasn't even talking that loudly.
- 17:36The funny thing was around, I think it
- 17:43was maybe just before mass started, he'd get
- 17:47back and he said, you know, you have
- 17:48a lovely voice.
- 17:49He said, you know, it's very loud, but
- 17:50you have a lovely voice.
- 17:52What do you use it for?
- 17:52I told him, an author, a speaker, a
- 17:55show host.
- 17:56Oh, that's wonderful.
- 17:59Before mass ended, he came up to me,
- 18:01he says, I hope you have a wonderful
- 18:03day.
- 18:04Somebody comes back that many times, they've got
- 18:06guilt.
- 18:07But my point is I treated them with
- 18:10kindness.
- 18:11I didn't get upset.
- 18:13I didn't yell at them.
- 18:14I just said, OK, this person's just a
- 18:17little bit deranged.
- 18:21And I didn't really judge them.
- 18:25I just said, this is crazy.
- 18:27So ladies and gentlemen, you can walk away
- 18:31instead of escalating, right?
- 18:33And that's what I chose to do in
- 18:35this situation.
- 18:36Why didn't I do that in the Dunkin'
- 18:38Donut one?
- 18:38Well, I was walking away and I wasn't
- 18:40escalating.
- 18:41But I wanted to make my truth as
- 18:43a journalist known that this place does not
- 18:46participate in the national Free Donut Day.
- 18:53And when they started realizing what I was
- 18:57doing and going back to my phone and
- 18:58social media, they panicked like you don't know
- 19:01what.
- 19:01I never threatened people.
- 19:04I just started walking away.
- 19:05I said, OK, no problem.
- 19:06I'll just let my followers know that this
- 19:09store is not participating in national Free Donut
- 19:12Day.
- 19:13They require you to make a purchase before
- 19:16they give you a donut.
- 19:19Interesting, right?
- 19:20So ladies and gentlemen, what I want to
- 19:21say to you is don't confuse bluntness with
- 19:24honesty.
- 19:28So I was being honest.
- 19:30Was I being blunt?
- 19:31No, I was being honest about this particular
- 19:33Dunkin' Donuts.
- 19:35Now, I went to a couple other Dunkin'
- 19:36Donuts and they all just gave me the
- 19:39donut.
- 19:39They asked, did you like anything else?
- 19:40I said, no.
- 19:41They gave me the donut first and said,
- 19:42can we get anything else?
- 19:43I said, no.
- 19:43And they said, OK, here you go.
- 19:45And that's how it's supposed to be, right?
- 19:49Ladies and gentlemen, something else.
- 19:51You can forgive without forgetting.
- 19:56That's wacky, I know.
- 19:58So you can forgive what somebody did to
- 20:00you and you don't have to forget what
- 20:02they did, but you can forgive the fact
- 20:04that they did that.
- 20:06And I know that's a hard thing for
- 20:07some people to forgive, right?
- 20:13Maybe something hurt you very badly.
- 20:16But the secret is not to rebel, not
- 20:20to come back and say, you know what?
- 20:21You did this and I'm going to be
- 20:2310 times nasty to you.
- 20:26What is that proof, right?
- 20:29What is that proof?
- 20:32Compassion, OK?
- 20:34And let's take a look at the word
- 20:35compassion from Merriam-Webster, OK?
- 20:41So according to Merriam-Webster, compassion, well, it's
- 20:44a word, OK?
- 20:46And it is a noun.
- 20:49Sympathetic consciousness of others distressed together with desire
- 20:53to alleviate it.
- 20:54Well, that's a very, let's say, ornate way
- 20:58to say what compassion is.
- 21:00What is it in English?
- 21:02Compassion is kindness.
- 21:04Compassion is feeling, mercy, humanity, condolence, understanding.
- 21:12Humaneness, sensitive to people's feelings.
- 21:18But everything has to be drama for a
- 21:20lot of people.
- 21:23And the drama winds up causing more danger
- 21:25than what was happening.
- 21:26So in that store, I didn't get upset.
- 21:30I just said, OK, let my followers know.
- 21:34I didn't say, well, you better give me.
- 21:35I didn't threaten.
- 21:36I just walked away and started commenting.
- 21:38And they got nervous with me starting to
- 21:41type.
- 21:44So compassion includes yourself too.
- 21:46We need to be kind to others, yes.
- 21:49But you know what we need to be
- 21:49before we're kind to anybody?
- 21:51We first got to be kind to ourselves,
- 21:53right?
- 21:54We got to be kind to ourselves.
- 21:55We got to be our own best friend.
- 21:57Try asking this question, OK?
- 21:59What would I want to hear if I
- 22:02were them?
- 22:05What would I want to hear if I
- 22:06were them?
- 22:07And it basically puts the shoe, OK, on
- 22:11your foot for a moment.
- 22:14Now, whether you're online or you're offline or
- 22:17anything else in between, there is a real
- 22:20person on the other side.
- 22:21I think we've got to understand that, OK?
- 22:23You can model a better way to disagree.
- 22:26And I said the one that I like,
- 22:28which is to agree to disagree.
- 22:30People rarely change from being humiliated.
- 22:32So why do it?
- 22:34They change from feeling seen.
- 22:35They change from how you made them feel.
- 22:39People forget things you tell them.
- 22:40But they never forget how you made them
- 22:43feel.
- 22:43Remember that, ladies and gentlemen.
- 22:45Compassion ages better than clapbacks, right?
- 22:51And a lot of this becomes something for
- 22:55someone.
- 22:56It's like, oh my gosh, I can't deal
- 22:57with this anymore.
- 22:59And finally, I want to say, ladies and
- 23:00gentlemen, that kindness is always a choice.
- 23:03Even when it is not the easiest one,
- 23:06this is what true strength looks like.
- 23:09Not reacting, not attacking, not tearing down, but
- 23:13building up yourself and others, understanding more, choosing
- 23:16intention over an impulse.
- 23:18Because ladies and gentlemen, at the end of
- 23:20the day, your legacy is not defined by
- 23:23how loud you were, right?
- 23:25Whether you had a megaphone or not.
- 23:27It's defined by how you made people feel,
- 23:30right?
- 23:30Doesn't matter what you buy them.
- 23:33Doesn't even matter what you say to them.
- 23:34It's how you made them feel.
- 23:36Now, there may be times when you need
- 23:38to use a megaphone to get people's attention.
- 23:40But that's just for the moment, right?
- 23:43That's not going to stay with them.
- 23:45The fact that I was at a megaphone
- 23:46saying, you know, you need to get to
- 23:48the right, or you were at Disney, and
- 23:50they told you to go a certain way
- 23:51because there was an accident.
- 23:53You're going to forget about that after the
- 23:55situation drops.
- 23:57So ladies and gentlemen, this week is about
- 23:59more than just inspiration.
- 24:02It's about truth.
- 24:04It's about growth.
- 24:05And it's about renewal.
- 24:07So I want to ask you something.
- 24:09How will you choose to show up this
- 24:11week?
- 24:12With criticism or compassion?
- 24:15That choice, my friends, is up to you.
- 24:17But I can tell you, if you choose
- 24:19compassion, more compassion will be shown upon to
- 24:24you.
- 24:25The boomerang effect.
- 24:26Hey, ladies and gentlemen, do you know who
- 24:28I am by now?
- 24:29If you don't, allow me to reintroduce myself.
- 24:32But first, I want to say thank you.
- 24:34And again, a very big shout out to
- 24:37our local bakery, The Artist Baker.
- 24:41We look forward to hearing from them.
- 24:43And hopefully they will invite us to come
- 24:45and do a live show at their cafe
- 24:48and taste some of their wonderful goodies.
- 24:51All right.
- 24:51So I am John C.
- 24:53Morley.
- 24:53And this has been Inspirations for Your Life.
- 24:56Please catch more episodes and transformational content.
- 25:01That's short-form content.
- 25:03That's long-form content.
- 25:05That's articles.
- 25:06That's reels.
- 25:09Right?
- 25:10This show, other shows.
- 25:13And you can catch all that where, guys?
- 25:15You can catch all that at BelieveMeAchieved.com.
- 25:18So Inspirations for Your Life, for those of
- 25:21you who don't know, started off as an
- 25:22accident.
- 25:23I had a tech show before.
- 25:25And I said, you know, I want to
- 25:28get a message out to people.
- 25:33And so I got on just maybe once
- 25:37or twice a week.
- 25:37And I was like, this isn't going anywhere.
- 25:40Then I said, I need to put structure,
- 25:42right?
- 25:42What do you need for success?
- 25:43You need consistency.
- 25:44You need structure.
- 25:44So what do I do?
- 25:46I am on the air every day.
- 25:48Consistency and structure.
- 25:50I am very passionate about what I deliver.
- 25:54And even if I affect one person or
- 25:56I affect five or 10 or a million,
- 25:58I enjoy delivering this message.
- 26:00And I hope that you'll be able to
- 26:02deliver this message to other people.
- 26:04And now with our reach out to the
- 26:05community program and our plans of building a
- 26:08studio very soon, I believe that it's community,
- 26:13it's people.
- 26:14And when we can make people feel a
- 26:16certain way, that's something that's priceless.
- 26:19That's something that, you know, no commercial is
- 26:22going to leave with you.
- 26:24That's something that's not a facade.
- 26:27Remember we talked about TV sets the other
- 26:28day?
- 26:30It's not a facade.
- 26:31It's about truth.
- 26:32It's about integrity.
- 26:34So another question you might be asking me,
- 26:35and it's a very great question, John, why
- 26:38don't people do this?
- 26:40I'll tell you.
- 26:42Because they don't see an ROI.
- 26:44And because they don't see an ROI, they're
- 26:46like, why should I do this?
- 26:47Why should I bother?
- 26:50Why should I bother?
- 26:52That's an important one to understand.
- 26:55And the reason you should bother is when
- 26:58you can make someone feel good, it will
- 27:03help them and it will last their lifetime
- 27:05and beyond.
- 27:08We've just got to stop operating from the
- 27:11ego and operate more from our heart.
- 27:18Our heart is more than an organ that
- 27:20just pumps blood.
- 27:22Our heart is the epicenter for creating our
- 27:27feelings, for allowing us to feel things, both
- 27:31sorrow, good, happy, exciting, joyful.
- 27:39I know you're going to want to keep
- 27:40following me, so don't forget to check out
- 27:42BelieveMeAchieved.com.
