- 0:00Speaker 1: Here's more of the Mark Simone show on wor Well
- 0:07Speaker 1: and Culture. The best selling author and the great columnists
- 0:11Speaker 1: also does a lot of speeches all over the country.
- 0:13Speaker 1: In fact, if you're in Massachusetts tomorrow night, she'll be
- 0:17Speaker 1: speaking at MIT of all places, six o'clock MIT, and
- 0:21Speaker 1: she's with us right now. And Culter, how you doing fantastic?
- 0:25Speaker 2: How are you? Marximon?
- 0:27Speaker 1: Good? You know, I do a lot of speeches, but
- 0:28Speaker 1: it's always in some normal place. Mit. You got to
- 0:32Speaker 1: sound pretty smart there, I know.
- 0:35Speaker 2: I hope they don't ask me any math questions.
- 0:39Speaker 1: So that's pretty good. Now, all over America they got
- 0:45Speaker 1: and we heard this was going to happen. The Democrats
- 0:47Speaker 1: have like twenty five other Mam Donnis. They're gonna run.
- 0:50Speaker 1: They run this woman in Tennessee, who's another Mam Donnie.
- 0:53Speaker 1: No resume, history of saying crazy things, but charming, great
- 0:58Speaker 1: on social media, an influencer. What is this? Who are
- 1:03Speaker 1: these Democrats voting for these people?
- 1:07Speaker 2: Well, luckily not enough to elect her. Your listeners, being
- 1:12Speaker 2: normal people, probably don't know this, but I bet you do.
- 1:16Speaker 2: All week on MSNBC, they've been pushing this progressive woman
- 1:20Speaker 2: and you know this was going to be a test
- 1:22Speaker 2: for Trump, And here it was. It's in Tennessee represented
- 1:27Speaker 2: by a Republican. Now this is going to be big tests,
- 1:29Speaker 2: big test. You know, they don't set something up as
- 1:32Speaker 2: a big test unless they're expecting to win. So they
- 1:35Speaker 2: were pushing this woman like mad. And she lost last
- 1:39Speaker 2: night by ten points. So I was listening to the
- 1:41Speaker 2: coverage today and I don't know CNN or MSNBC. I
- 1:44Speaker 2: have a new definition of a close election. It's where
- 1:49Speaker 2: a Republican wins by ten points. But apparently that was
- 1:55Speaker 2: that was a nail bier.
- 1:56Speaker 1: But what is this all about? Voting for people that
- 1:59Speaker 1: have no resume on paper? They think, But they keep
- 2:02Speaker 1: yelling this word affordability and it sounds good. But if
- 2:07Speaker 1: you know, like in New York, Democrats have run every
- 2:10Speaker 1: inch of New York for fifteen years. If there's an
- 2:12Speaker 1: affordability crisis, why would you vote for them?
- 2:16Speaker 2: Yes, and unless it is Democrats with their idiotic laws
- 2:21Speaker 2: and regulations making things more expensive, as with run control,
- 2:26Speaker 2: as with Obamacare. Mostly what people are talking about, I mean,
- 2:31Speaker 2: I mean Trump is right. This is just a word
- 2:33Speaker 2: they use. It's like for years, I don't know, I
- 2:36Speaker 2: had doubt politicians run on this anymore. But years, for decades,
- 2:40Speaker 2: every every single presidential candidate would run on bringing people together. Okay,
- 2:47Speaker 2: those are words, and affordability is a word. What you're
- 2:49Speaker 2: talking about is inflation or democratic policies. That's what makes
- 2:54Speaker 2: things expensive. I mean, as we've discussed, there's been no
- 2:57Speaker 2: matter how liberal the economist is, just economy after economists
- 3:00Speaker 2: after economists has pointed out, rent control goes into effect,
- 3:05Speaker 2: housing prices go through the roof. And every place there
- 3:08Speaker 2: is rent control, in New York City and San Francisco,
- 3:12Speaker 2: in you know, small burghs, throughout the nation. Every place
- 3:15Speaker 2: rank control is in effect, the housing is out of
- 3:19Speaker 2: reach for normal people. Thomas All writes a lot about this.
- 3:22Speaker 2: It's it's it's the most basic economic principle. Restrict the
- 3:26Speaker 2: supply prices go up.
- 3:30Speaker 1: Yeah, you know, they're the ones.
- 3:34Speaker 2: I mean. The healthcare thing just drives me absolutely nuts.
- 3:38Speaker 2: Yet everybody knew this. That's why every single Republican voted
- 3:42Speaker 2: against Obamacare. As I think I've said before, when Republicans
- 3:46Speaker 2: say we're going to fix something, we fix it, and
- 3:47Speaker 2: then we lose it as an issue to run on.
- 3:49Speaker 2: When Democrats say they're going to fix something they got
- 3:52Speaker 2: an issue until the end of time is they just
- 3:55Speaker 2: make things worse.
- 3:56Speaker 1: Yeah, you know, like they go crazy about tariffs. Tariffs
- 3:59Speaker 1: are the worst thing. They hate tariffs, but then they
- 4:02Speaker 1: put on more tariffs than anybody. They call it the
- 4:04Speaker 1: corporate tax increase, but that's the same thing. It's a
- 4:07Speaker 1: teriff on of business.
- 4:08Speaker 2: So, oh, that's a great point.
- 4:10Speaker 1: How did they get away with this? But well, I
- 4:13Speaker 1: know how there's no media to expose it. But it's
- 4:18Speaker 1: never going to change. So what does this mean for
- 4:19Speaker 1: the midterms?
- 4:22Speaker 2: Well, as I keep warning you, my friends, your listeners,
- 4:27Speaker 2: midterms generally go against the party in power, which is
- 4:30Speaker 2: why I don't know why the Trump administration hasn't done
- 4:35Speaker 2: this yet. I've surely talked about it on your program before.
- 4:38Speaker 2: So the census is taken in twenty twenty under Donald
- 4:41Speaker 2: Trump in twenty twenty one. The year after a census,
- 4:45Speaker 2: they always go back and check, do we make any mistakes?
- 4:48Speaker 2: Do we get this right? They do spot checks that
- 4:50Speaker 2: sort of thing. Under the Biden administration they realized, oh
- 4:53Speaker 2: my gosh, we made a lot of mistakes, and they
- 4:56Speaker 2: ended up taking away net about ten congressional seats from
- 5:02Speaker 2: Republicans and giving them to the Blue States. They counted
- 5:06Speaker 2: the Blue states as being much bigger and about ten
- 5:10Speaker 2: on each side, and Red states as being much smaller.
- 5:13Speaker 2: So I don't know Ron DeSantis should sue. This is
- 5:17Speaker 2: the administration finding its own mistake. Why can't the Trump
- 5:20Speaker 2: administration say fix the mistake? I mean that gives us
- 5:25Speaker 2: ten seats right there, and other than that, it's probably
- 5:28Speaker 2: going to be a blowout against us, especially looking at
- 5:30Speaker 2: what I didn't think. I didn't think there was any
- 5:32Speaker 2: way California could squeeze any more Democrats seats out of
- 5:36Speaker 2: that state, but apparently they have. So Democrats are they
- 5:39Speaker 2: have an auto pickup of five states in California. And
- 5:44Speaker 2: this isn't like some tricky, you know, jerrymandering trick. It's
- 5:48Speaker 2: just it's just following the Constitution and creating congressional districts
- 5:52Speaker 2: the way they are supposed to be created. So I
- 5:55Speaker 2: really think Trump has got to get on that.
- 5:57Speaker 1: Yeah, but again you got this new breed a Democrats
- 6:01Speaker 1: no resume saying crazy things, but they just look good
- 6:05Speaker 1: on social media and they're great influencers. And are there
- 6:09Speaker 1: any Republicans who can counter that? Who can do the
- 6:11Speaker 1: same trick.
- 6:16Speaker 2: I hate to sound snobbish, but I think most Republican
- 6:18Speaker 2: voters are smarter. They really are Democrats. We deserve stupid
- 6:23Speaker 2: voters too. I mean, I don't know we're getting some now,
- 6:25Speaker 2: but but Democrats really have a lock on the stupid voters.
- 6:29Speaker 2: And I am not referring to, you know, young people.
- 6:33Speaker 2: I don't think it's just young people. A lot of
- 6:35Speaker 2: young people are are very thoughtful. But well, I guess
- 6:38Speaker 2: I am referring to my gender. A lot of especially women,
- 6:43Speaker 2: especially you know, identity politics types. They they they know nothing,
- 6:51Speaker 2: they think nothing, They go along with the crowd. Group
- 6:55Speaker 2: think is very powerful.
- 6:57Speaker 1: Yeah. So, hey, the other this war crimes hoax. You know,
- 7:02Speaker 1: this is some terrible war crimes taking place, is this? Well,
- 7:06Speaker 1: Democrats get away with this defending these coke boats, these
- 7:09Speaker 1: narco boats.
- 7:11Speaker 2: Oh, I'm so glad you brought that up. I wanted
- 7:13Speaker 2: to make two points about that. One is it's funny
- 7:17Speaker 2: listening to the liberal media. They're trying to get hag
- 7:21Speaker 2: Seth to you know, quote take responsibility as if as
- 7:25Speaker 2: if that's that's okay, and then we'll all go away.
- 7:28Speaker 2: You say you're responsible, the media plays this trick a
- 7:31Speaker 2: million times. I was just thinking of tweeting out hegg sess,
- 7:34Speaker 2: do not quote take responsibility. This is what they did
- 7:37Speaker 2: to rum Fells over Abu Grab. They run this campaign,
- 7:41Speaker 2: you just got to take response. Be a man here.
- 7:44Speaker 2: They did it with the first George bush On on
- 7:46Speaker 2: you gotta raise taxes and he broke his read my
- 7:50Speaker 2: lips pledge. And the final thing, second thing, and only
- 7:52Speaker 2: thinks is probably running out of time, is I don't
- 7:54Speaker 2: care what they do to these Venezuelan boats. I mean,
- 7:57Speaker 2: since the end of Reagan. This is the first time
- 8:00Speaker 2: in my life the American military has been used to
- 8:04Speaker 2: protect American lives, not alives in the Middle East, not
- 8:08Speaker 2: lives in Afghanistan, not lives in the Balkans. For the
- 8:13Speaker 2: first time, the military is being used to protect America.
- 8:19Speaker 2: So I don't care what you do.
- 8:21Speaker 1: That's a very good point, excellent point. Hey, So, if
- 8:24Speaker 1: you're in Massachusetts, we got a lot of listeners there
- 8:27Speaker 1: and Culture is speaking tomorrow night at MIT. Aren't they
- 8:32Speaker 1: kind of left wing kooks there? How are you going
- 8:34Speaker 1: to speak to them?
- 8:35Speaker 2: Well, I'm hoping some of your listeners will come. You
- 8:38Speaker 2: sign up on Google it's linked on my Twitter feed,
- 8:41Speaker 2: and I happen to notice on the Google page they're
- 8:43Speaker 2: apparently not releasing the undisclosed location until I don't know
- 8:48Speaker 2: a few hours before the speech, but it obviously will
- 8:51Speaker 2: be near MIT, and I think all marksima own listeners
- 8:55Speaker 2: should come so I could at least get some smart
- 8:58Speaker 2: questions that don't involve.
- 9:01Speaker 1: Well, it's a bunch of left wing cooks there at MIT,
- 9:04Speaker 1: but it's quite a beautiful campus.
- 9:06Speaker 2: And probably fewer left wing cooks because remember they were
- 9:10Speaker 2: the first college to well first get rid of the
- 9:13Speaker 2: SAT and then immediately bring it back.
- 9:18Speaker 1: Yeah, it's a beautiful campus and it's right on the
- 9:20Speaker 1: Charles River. You get a beautiful view and you'll have
- 9:23Speaker 1: a good time there talking to those eggheads. But it's
- 9:26Speaker 1: a great unit. It's on one of our great universities.
- 9:28Speaker 1: So tomorrow, yeah and Culter at MIT six o'clock. Just
- 9:32Speaker 1: go to her Twitter. You can get the place to
- 9:34Speaker 1: sign up for it, and of course follow on Twitter.
- 9:37Speaker 1: Make sure you follow on substack. It's Andculter dot substack
- 9:41Speaker 1: dot com and Culter thanks for being with us.
- 9:44Speaker 2: Good to talk to you, Mark Slone, Bye.
- 9:46Speaker 1: Bye all take care, Hey, don't forget tonight. You got
- 9:50Speaker 1: Buck and Clay coming up at noon today, but don't
- 9:52Speaker 1: forget tonight. Every night excellent news show Jimmy Fla. It's fascinating,
