- 2:12Speaker 1: But anything you do really helps us in the algorithm,
- 2:14Speaker 1: And so thank you in thank you Before we get
- 2:19Speaker 1: into this scintillating recap that we have planned, Beatrice, did
- 2:24Speaker 1: you have any takeaways about this episode. I'm just like,
- 2:28Speaker 1: I can't.
- 2:28Speaker 2: I can't believe the producers think we want to watch
- 2:31Speaker 2: this stuff.
- 2:32Speaker 1: I don't get it.
- 2:32Speaker 2: Like, I literally don't care about gins bike shop, I
- 2:35Speaker 2: don't care about Mary dating, I don't care about paid
- 2:38Speaker 2: and moving, and I certainly do not care about Cody
- 2:44Speaker 2: and his pheromones. Oh, lording into the MC mansion.
- 2:48Speaker 1: I'm just like what, I don't know. I just don't understand.
- 2:53Speaker 1: I checked the ratings again to see how they're trending.
- 2:56Speaker 1: It's only been three episodes obviously before this one, and
- 3:00Speaker 1: they only had wait did they have it? I don't know.
- 3:04Speaker 1: The views actually went up a little bit? What they
- 3:08Speaker 1: actually went up a little bit? I do not know, girl,
- 3:12Speaker 1: What is going on? Is it just us? I don't know.
- 3:15Speaker 1: Are we losing that loving feeling? Or is like anybody
- 3:18Speaker 1: else feeling the same way? Like, I just don't understand
- 3:20Speaker 1: what we are all doing in the dumpster here? Like
- 3:23Speaker 1: I want something new? Yeah, me too, want something fresh? Yeah,
- 3:27Speaker 1: keep me interested. This is just the regurgitation of everything
- 3:31Speaker 1: that's gone before. And I'm I'm sick of it too, girl.
- 3:37Speaker 2: But I watched it, Yeah, me too.
- 3:39Speaker 1: Did I have any takeaways?
- 3:40Speaker 2: You know?
- 3:41Speaker 1: Not? Really? Do I feel bad for Christine because half
- 3:44Speaker 1: of her kids are relocating to the other side of
- 3:47Speaker 1: the country. I mean kind of, I guess, But like,
- 3:50Speaker 1: we all make our choices in life and we all
- 3:52Speaker 1: move on. And I'm boring. I am agnoring, bitch.
- 3:56Speaker 2: It's so boring it is.
- 3:59Speaker 1: Did you guys like it? Are you liking it, let
- 4:01Speaker 1: us know. Let us know. You can write us via
- 4:03Speaker 1: ig or dropping the comments here on YouTube. We would
- 4:05Speaker 1: love to hear from you. Yes, without further ado, Let's
- 4:09Speaker 1: get into season twenty, episode four, entitled you need to
- 4:14Speaker 1: shut Up? Oh Yeah, Christine to Janelle.
- 4:17Speaker 2: Yeah, which I'm like, this should have been us to
- 4:20Speaker 2: Cody and Robin yet, Like, Okay, we're gonna tell Janelle
- 4:23Speaker 2: to shut up. But we start the episode off with
- 4:26Speaker 2: Mary at Jen's bike shop in Paowan. And this is
- 4:31Speaker 2: where we have Mary like swiping right on a bunch
- 4:35Speaker 2: of guys, or like showing guys, showing Jen guys that
- 4:39Speaker 2: she's liked on Tinder and plenty of fish or whatever.
- 4:42Speaker 2: And she's just talking about all these guys that she
- 4:44Speaker 2: thinks so handsome, and she wants us to know she
- 4:47Speaker 2: wants a guy who's tall and knows how to call.
- 4:50Speaker 1: You've said that every episode, and this is the fourth
- 4:53Speaker 1: episode where you are saying the same thing. Is there
- 4:56Speaker 1: a reason you're repeating yourself? Mary Brown, I.
- 4:59Speaker 2: Want a man that's tall and kind six foot two.
- 5:02Speaker 1: Okay, got it, we got it?
- 5:04Speaker 2: Yes, how about you go find a guy?
- 5:06Speaker 1: Yeah, please get out of your haunted B and B
- 5:10Speaker 1: go to Disneyland or whatever, find somebody in some Mickey
- 5:13Speaker 1: Mouse ears and date that man I know, and then
- 5:16Speaker 1: shut up about it. To shut up about it? How
- 5:21Speaker 1: about the arc where Mary goes to a seasoned hair
- 5:26Speaker 1: stylist and a closed stylist. Yeah, let's see that transformation.
- 5:32Speaker 2: That would be great. Well, And it's funny how she's
- 5:34Speaker 2: talking about she wants a man who knows what to
- 5:36Speaker 2: do with his hair. You know, I don't care if
- 5:38Speaker 2: it's long, as long as he knows how to comb
- 5:40Speaker 2: it and knows how to style it, which is like
- 5:42Speaker 2: subtle shade to Cody. But then I'm like, girl, look
- 5:45Speaker 2: at your hair for real.
- 5:48Speaker 1: But also I think she's trying to be slick. I
- 5:51Speaker 1: think she absolutely knew what she was saying when she
- 5:54Speaker 1: was saying it. Of course we have to pan over
- 5:56Speaker 1: to Jen, and Jen has to act all shocked. I
- 5:58Speaker 1: know that Mary is saying that, And then Mary's like,
- 6:00Speaker 1: oh my god, did I say that? Yes, you said that.
- 6:04Speaker 1: Say it with your full chest. Tell me how much
- 6:06Speaker 1: you hate this man. I hate him too. I would
- 6:08Speaker 1: love to hear from you, Mary.
- 6:10Speaker 2: It would be so great. It would really change my
- 6:13Speaker 2: tune on Mary a little bit. If she could just
- 6:15Speaker 2: throw more shade to Cody, but we're never gonna get it.
- 6:18Speaker 2: And then while she's like talking about all these guys
- 6:21Speaker 2: she's like meeting on apps and stuff. Then we pan
- 6:24Speaker 2: on over to the rest of the adults to get
- 6:26Speaker 2: their commentary about if they would want to meet people
- 6:30Speaker 2: on dating apps, and I'm like, I don't care about
- 6:32Speaker 2: none of y'all's opinions at all.
- 6:35Speaker 1: Two of you are married and one of you is
- 6:37Speaker 1: patently uninterested in getting on an app and or dating anybody.
- 6:41Speaker 2: And that's fine, but like Cody and Robbin's like shade
- 6:45Speaker 2: to Mary for trying to meet people online was really lame,
- 6:48Speaker 2: and I just don't understand why we had to include
- 6:50Speaker 2: that in the episode. The producers are driving me nuts
- 6:54Speaker 2: this year, and that's pretty much it.
- 6:57Speaker 1: Like, Okay, Mary go on a date that like, can
- 7:00Speaker 1: we see you actually doing something besides talking to your
- 7:04Speaker 1: girlfriends and subtly trashing Cody, Like can we do something different?
- 7:08Speaker 1: I mean, your life is full, right, You've got worthy
- 7:11Speaker 1: of You're a motivational speaker, you've got plans and a
- 7:15Speaker 1: business and stuff like that, Like can we talk about
- 7:18Speaker 1: something else?
- 7:18Speaker 2: Do you think or what I know well, and she
- 7:22Speaker 2: was talking about how she matched with Ron from the
- 7:24Speaker 2: speed dating or whatever, but nothing's happened. And her belief
- 7:28Speaker 2: is like, if I match with a guy, he needs
- 7:30Speaker 2: to be the one to reach out to me. And
- 7:31Speaker 2: I'm like, well, okay.
- 7:33Speaker 1: It's twenty twenty five. Yeah, and people do things differently
- 7:36Speaker 1: than they did it in the au B in nineteen
- 7:39Speaker 1: eighty six.
- 7:40Speaker 2: Bitch.
- 7:40Speaker 1: Yeah, Like you can talk to a man, you can
- 7:42Speaker 1: send him a little note, you can change your pattern
- 7:45Speaker 1: if you want something different. Yeah, that's what you should do.
- 7:48Speaker 2: But no, the men gotta come to you, which means
- 7:50Speaker 2: they're never going to write. That's mean, y, I take
- 7:53Speaker 2: that back.
- 7:54Speaker 1: I mean, are they coming to her now? I guess
- 7:56Speaker 1: they're swiping right on her, I guess or whatever. But
- 7:59Speaker 1: like she will do absolutely nothing because her standards are
- 8:02Speaker 1: so high.
- 8:03Speaker 2: Exactly, it's a privilege.
- 8:05Speaker 1: To be in my space. Not everybody gets access to
- 8:09Speaker 1: all of this. And I can understand that, and I
- 8:12Speaker 1: get that. I just wish she hadn't said that, yeah,
- 8:16Speaker 1: because it came off kind of arrogant. And it's good
- 8:19Speaker 1: that you're worthy ing up, sure, and that you know
- 8:21Speaker 1: you're worth but it's sounding a little bit cocky.
- 8:25Speaker 2: Yeah, and like she's trying to compensate for something it's unearned.
- 8:29Speaker 1: I don't really see why you're so cocky.
- 8:32Speaker 2: She puts herself up on this pedestal, and I'm just like,
- 8:34Speaker 2: maybe chill out a little bit, humble yourself. I don't know.
- 8:38Speaker 2: I'm just like, I'm over it. I'm actually not interested
- 8:40Speaker 2: in Mary's dating arc unless she actually.
- 8:43Speaker 1: Gives us something different. I'm the one who reached out
- 8:46Speaker 1: to mother's bit.
- 8:48Speaker 2: Yes I did.
- 8:49Speaker 1: I matched with him on Plenty of Fish back in the.
- 8:53Speaker 2: Day, got a dating app.
- 8:54Speaker 1: My god, you should have seen his profile. It was
- 8:56Speaker 1: so ridiculous, like all of these big words, like he
- 8:59Speaker 1: was just like such a what is that Sapiel sexual?
- 9:02Speaker 1: And he had these stupid pictures, Like one of the
- 9:04Speaker 1: pictures was like like half of his face was in
- 9:07Speaker 1: shadow and you just saw these beautiful blue eyes. That
- 9:10Speaker 1: was like, but I liked the words yea because he's
- 9:13Speaker 1: so smart, and I'm like, oh my god, Okay. I
- 9:16Speaker 1: matched with him and then I invited him to my Facebook,
- 9:20Speaker 1: and then I kept him on my Facebook for like
- 9:22Speaker 1: a year, and then I was the one who DMed
- 9:25Speaker 1: him and said, well, what's up? You're ever going to
- 9:27Speaker 1: make a move, Comebob. And so I took the initiative.
- 9:31Speaker 1: I took the initiative. And if I hadn't, he never
- 9:33Speaker 1: would have done anything right, And then where would I be?
- 9:36Speaker 1: I mean, married to some other man. No, there was
- 9:41Speaker 1: another contender at the time.
- 9:42Speaker 2: Oh yeah, you don't have to.
- 9:43Speaker 1: Get into all that. But it wasn't beneath me to
- 9:47Speaker 1: reach out to a good man and just like, shoot
- 9:49Speaker 1: my shot, and I'm glad I did.
- 9:50Speaker 2: Mary Brown, And you're a high quality woman, just like
- 9:53Speaker 2: Mary wants to believe that she is a high quality woman.
- 9:56Speaker 2: I'm like, you can reach out and make the first move. Girl.
- 9:59Speaker 2: She and everyone knows Mary wants to get some and
- 10:03Speaker 2: wants to have somebody, And that's fine, she deserves it.
- 10:06Speaker 2: But I'm just like, oh my god, if we're just
- 10:07Speaker 2: gonna talk about these guys on these apps and judge
- 10:11Speaker 2: like the shirts that they're wearing.
- 10:12Speaker 1: Well, we can't really even see them. We see an
- 10:14Speaker 1: apron that says kiss the cock, right, that was kind
- 10:18Speaker 1: of cute, but like we don't see their faces, we
- 10:20Speaker 1: don't see their keywords, you don't see their profile. Yeah,
- 10:24Speaker 1: I'm just bored.
- 10:25Speaker 2: I'm bored of it, super boring, and then we move
- 10:28Speaker 2: on to the next segment of the episode, which is
- 10:30Speaker 2: also turbo boring, and it's Peyden moving to North Carolina,
- 10:35Speaker 2: and I'm just like, do we have to watch all
- 10:36Speaker 2: the kids move to North Carolina? Because I don't really care?
- 10:40Speaker 2: Think so, I don't really care. But he's moving to
- 10:43Speaker 2: North Carolina because obviously, after Garrison passed away, he wants
- 10:47Speaker 2: to be near the rest of the family out there
- 10:49Speaker 2: and Janelle, and because Garrison was like his best friend
- 10:52Speaker 2: and obviously his brother, and he wants to be close
- 10:55Speaker 2: to them, and I respect that for sure. I guess
- 10:58Speaker 2: Paydon's out of the Was he in the guard I.
- 11:00Speaker 1: Don't know if he's in the movie. I know he
- 11:02Speaker 1: was in the Army, but I don't know if he
- 11:03Speaker 1: went into the guard in Arizona. I don't know. I
- 11:06Speaker 1: can't anything about it.
- 11:07Speaker 2: I don't know exactly what it was. But he got
- 11:09Speaker 2: out of whatever he was in, and so he's free
- 11:11Speaker 2: to do what he wants, and that's why he's moving
- 11:13Speaker 2: to North Carolina. And Christine's fucking but heard about it,
- 11:16Speaker 2: and I guess I understand it. But at the same time,
- 11:19Speaker 2: it's like Christine, you chose to move back to Utah,
- 11:22Speaker 2: like you bought your house and you got your new
- 11:24Speaker 2: man who's already established in Utah.
- 11:27Speaker 1: Even before that, you chose to leave Aspen and Maddie
- 11:31Speaker 1: in Las Vegas when you moved to Arizona. So you
- 11:33Speaker 1: have been moving around this entire time. So if your
- 11:35Speaker 1: kids are going to do the same, they're doing it
- 11:37Speaker 1: because you taught them to exactly.
- 11:39Speaker 2: So like I understand you're bitter about it, and I
- 11:42Speaker 2: understand it's hard to like watch your adult kids move
- 11:45Speaker 2: away and move very far away, especially when some of
- 11:48Speaker 2: them have kids and you want to be involved in
- 11:50Speaker 2: their lives and stuff. But like, obviously the family is
- 11:54Speaker 2: trending out east, so if you want to follow him,
- 11:57Speaker 2: you could, but you're too busy with your businesses.
- 12:01Speaker 1: David's got all of his kids in Utah, and we
- 12:03Speaker 1: still have Truly and Isabelle and Aspen that are in Utah.
- 12:08Speaker 1: But like, can we talk about Payden? What do we
- 12:10Speaker 1: think about this young man? I don't want to overly
- 12:13Speaker 1: judge him, but like he is such a male younger Christine,
- 12:17Speaker 1: just like Michelti is a younger female Christine. Like Peyden
- 12:23Speaker 1: has such a personality. Have you seen any of his
- 12:26Speaker 1: tiktoks as well?
- 12:27Speaker 2: No, I haven't.
- 12:28Speaker 1: I just I like just sat with his energy, and
- 12:31Speaker 1: I'm like, I just don't know what girl out there
- 12:35Speaker 1: is gonna wanna be in a relationship with someone with
- 12:40Speaker 1: that kind of frenetic, huge energy. Yeah, And is he
- 12:46Speaker 1: really looking for a girl in church? Because like, wasn't
- 12:48Speaker 1: he working at a strip club? Not that those two
- 12:50Speaker 1: things can't go together, sure, like I thought he was
- 12:53Speaker 1: working at a strip club. I know everybody's drinking in
- 12:56Speaker 1: the Brown family, and I think that probably includes Peyden.
- 12:59Speaker 2: Yeah, for sure.
- 13:00Speaker 1: He wants to do like a Christian churchy arc.
- 13:03Speaker 2: Yeah, I don't know. I mean, you know, whatever floats
- 13:06Speaker 2: your boat. It's like reesa seeking sister wife. He's a
- 13:10Speaker 2: little yeah no, but like he managed to find a way.
- 13:14Speaker 1: Are you saying Peyden is a little like that? Well,
- 13:17Speaker 1: they did say his father was a flamboyant gay or
- 13:20Speaker 1: they thought he was in high school. Peydon doesn't really
- 13:23Speaker 1: give me that. He just gives like this sort of
- 13:28Speaker 1: unorganized exuberance. Yeah, that is just kind of hard to contain.
- 13:33Speaker 1: I just don't know what kind of a relationship he's
- 13:35Speaker 1: going to end up, and not that he can't and
- 13:37Speaker 1: not that he won't. It's just like he's an interesting person,
- 13:40Speaker 1: that is all I am saying.
- 13:41Speaker 2: Yeah, I agree, and I even I was talking to
- 13:43Speaker 2: Ethel about it. She's like, I can't stand paid he.
- 13:46Speaker 1: Would annoy the the fought of me.
- 13:48Speaker 2: Yeah. Ethel was saying that he's the perfect mix of
- 13:51Speaker 2: Cody and Christine, which is just like a terrible combination.
- 13:56Speaker 2: Like most of Christine's kids are kind of out there
- 14:00Speaker 2: a little bit.
- 14:01Speaker 1: Is about Aspen. Both of them are truly truly's very
- 14:06Speaker 1: cool as well. She's not obviously grown up yet, so
- 14:09Speaker 1: we don't see her full personality, but she seems cool
- 14:11Speaker 1: af Yeah, but like there are just a couple of
- 14:14Speaker 1: her kids that are just like they're all, Wow, that
- 14:16Speaker 1: is a lot.
- 14:17Speaker 2: Yeah, it's just a lot of energy.
- 14:19Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 14:19Speaker 2: But good for you Peydon that you're moving at Caroline.
- 14:23Speaker 2: I also, I just don't care though, you know, like
- 14:24Speaker 2: I just don't care about you. I don't care about
- 14:28Speaker 2: you moving out there. That's cool, it's boring. It doesn't
- 14:31Speaker 2: make for good compelling TV. And then the bulk of
- 14:34Speaker 2: this episode moves on over to Cody and Robin. They're
- 14:38Speaker 2: still packing up their mcmanchon because they're hoarders and they
- 14:40Speaker 2: have too much crap. And this is where we have
- 14:43Speaker 2: Cody's younger.
- 14:45Speaker 1: Younger or youngest youngest and younger.
- 14:47Speaker 2: Brother, Michael. He's there helping them and also getting a
- 14:51Speaker 2: TLC paycheck. And we have Cody who's like kind of
- 14:55Speaker 2: sweaty and walking around with his hair flopping in the
- 14:59Speaker 2: wind his skull, and he starts talking about pheromones and
- 15:02Speaker 2: starts flirting and peacocking to Robin to be like, yeah,
- 15:07Speaker 2: you like my stink, you like my pheromones. And I'm
- 15:10Speaker 2: like again with this like flirtation, this weird energy, Like
- 15:15Speaker 2: nobody wants to see you guys act like a couple
- 15:18Speaker 2: or be in love. Nobody likes you, nobody likes your relationship.
- 15:22Speaker 1: Just stop, please stop. But you know, Robin does kind
- 15:26Speaker 1: of address this when she talks about how when they
- 15:29Speaker 1: were polygamists it was not appropriate in the family culture
- 15:34Speaker 1: to have public displays of affection, and so now they're
- 15:38Speaker 1: monogamous and they're doing something different. But like, she just
- 15:41Speaker 1: doesn't seem like a very warm person to me. She
- 15:44Speaker 1: doesn't seem to be receptive at all to Cody's peacockery. Yeah,
- 15:49Speaker 1: she just seems like she's constantly swerving him. She doesn't
- 15:52Speaker 1: want any of it, and she's only there for the money.
- 15:55Speaker 1: That's what I think. I don't think she really even
- 15:57Speaker 1: likes him.
- 15:58Speaker 2: That's what it feels like.
- 15:59Speaker 1: I could like him. I mean, really, he's unlikable. She
- 16:03Speaker 1: just doesn't seem interested in him at all, not at all.
- 16:06Speaker 2: It's really bizarre. Like she's only made a couple of
- 16:09Speaker 2: comments like here and there last season in this season
- 16:12Speaker 2: where she's like, oh, he looks handsome on a horse
- 16:15Speaker 2: or something. But I'm just like, do you believe that?
- 16:17Speaker 2: I don't think she saying that for us. And then
- 16:20Speaker 2: we have Cody and his talking head being like, yeah,
- 16:23Speaker 2: you know, my shy I'm pretty wife, I'm paraphrasing, but
- 16:26Speaker 2: my shy I'm pretty wife is just uncomfortable with PDA,
- 16:29Speaker 2: and like, I just hope that one day, you know,
- 16:31Speaker 2: we can walk around in a mall somewhere or somewhere
- 16:33Speaker 2: in public and she slaps my ass. I'm just like, why,
- 16:39Speaker 2: just why, why do you need to say that.
- 16:40Speaker 1: I think it's a cry for affection from his wife,
- 16:44Speaker 1: who is a cold fish and who's not demonstrably affectionate
- 16:48Speaker 1: to him, and he really really wants it. I don't understand,
- 16:50Speaker 1: and it's kind of ironic. It's kind of like how
- 16:54Speaker 1: karma works, Like, Okay, this is the wife you wanted,
- 16:57Speaker 1: and all the other wives wanted you. Now those wives
- 17:00Speaker 1: are gone, and the wife you want it doesn't want
- 17:03Speaker 1: you back.
- 17:04Speaker 2: Doesn't want you at all. But okay, go ahead and
- 17:07Speaker 2: buy her the two point one million dollar McMansion and
- 17:10Speaker 2: see if you can buy her affection. I just wonder.
- 17:13Speaker 2: I would love to be a fly on the wall
- 17:15Speaker 2: in their bedroom, just wonder what goes on there, because
- 17:19Speaker 2: the way she portrays herself on camera is just so
- 17:22Speaker 2: awkward and weird, and she seems disgusted by him, and
- 17:26Speaker 2: I am too. I get it, but I wonder how
- 17:29Speaker 2: it translates into their real life. And so as they're packing,
- 17:33Speaker 2: we have like a little conversation between Michael and Cody,
- 17:38Speaker 2: and it's about polygamy, because we have to keep talking
- 17:42Speaker 2: about it for some reason every season, even though we're
- 17:45Speaker 2: all we know Cody and Robin are monogamous.
- 17:48Speaker 1: This is what I'm I'm saying to you and everybody else.
- 17:52Speaker 1: This is me screaming into the void. Why like, really,
- 17:54Speaker 1: why are we having these repetitious conversations just going over retreading,
- 18:01Speaker 1: like the same thing we've already done to death, And
- 18:06Speaker 1: why is this a successful show? Why are we all
- 18:10Speaker 1: still watching this? Like we already know, yeah, your position
- 18:14Speaker 1: on polygamy. We know you consider yourself a monogamist. You know,
- 18:19Speaker 1: we know that you love only Robin, Like we understand
- 18:22Speaker 1: all of this. I'm just I don't understand why we
- 18:24Speaker 1: have to have another staged conversation. It would be one
- 18:28Speaker 1: thing if it was spontaneous, and like, this is a
- 18:31Speaker 1: conversation that occurred in nature, but it's not. They're creating content.
- 18:35Speaker 1: It's fake af It's not entertaining.
- 18:38Speaker 2: Not at all. And like I don't like that he's
- 18:41Speaker 2: drawing the comparison between him and his dad and being like, oh, yeah,
- 18:45Speaker 2: isn't it. I had this epiphany that you know, dad
- 18:48Speaker 2: got into polygamy at the exact age that I decided
- 18:51Speaker 2: to leave it. And it's like, shut up, like, you're
- 18:54Speaker 2: nothing like your dad, You're nothing like any good polygamist.
- 18:57Speaker 2: And we get into that a little bit later when
- 19:00Speaker 2: we see the North Carolina fam and they compare him
- 19:02Speaker 2: to Joe Darker, but it's just like I don't care
- 19:06Speaker 2: about this discussion about polygamy, and like you trying to
- 19:09Speaker 2: convince us and convince your brother not to do polygamy,
- 19:13Speaker 2: like he was never going to do it to begin with, Like,
- 19:15Speaker 2: just shut up. There was only one thing that was
- 19:17Speaker 2: interesting out of this conversation with Michael, where Cody talks
- 19:21Speaker 2: about how he's still angry at Christine. He's still bitter
- 19:24Speaker 2: about the whole situation in general, but he's so angry
- 19:27Speaker 2: at Christine that he can barely even say her name.
- 19:30Speaker 2: He doesn't even want to deal with her kids. Did
- 19:33Speaker 2: you catch that?
- 19:34Speaker 1: And then Michael corrected him.
- 19:36Speaker 2: Michael corrected him, No, your kids, and Cody's like, yeah, yeah, yeah,
- 19:39Speaker 2: our kids. But that's like a slip into how Cody
- 19:44Speaker 2: thinks about this whole family, Like he doesn't see these
- 19:47Speaker 2: kids as his kids. He sees them as each wife's.
- 19:50Speaker 1: Kid except for Robin's kids, Yeah, exactly, which are his kids.
- 19:54Speaker 1: But keep in mind that Cody has just been sued
- 19:59Speaker 1: by Christine, So like two months or whatever before they're
- 20:02Speaker 1: filming this scene Cody and Michael, he was sued by
- 20:05Speaker 1: Christine for child support for the future. And also I
- 20:09Speaker 1: think three years in a rear. So while he's trying
- 20:12Speaker 1: to finagle a new home loan for this new home,
- 20:17Speaker 1: he gets hit with this lawsuit. So I bet he's angry.
- 20:19Speaker 1: But like, as we're going through Christine's book on our
- 20:23Speaker 1: Patreon and we're reading the different sections, and we're learning
- 20:27Speaker 1: about how Cody truly thought about Christine from the very beginning,
- 20:32Speaker 1: how he treated her their sex life, which was dog shit.
- 20:37Speaker 1: He made Christine wear her garments for sex. Yep, he
- 20:42Speaker 1: did not want her to reveal her body in any way.
- 20:46Speaker 1: He was repulsed by her, like literally repulsed by her.
- 20:50Speaker 1: This is how this man treated Christine. And then for
- 20:52Speaker 1: him now in talking to Michael, to look back at
- 20:56Speaker 1: her decision to leave in the way that she did
- 20:58Speaker 1: and be so a fen buy. Yeah, Like I was blindsided,
- 21:02Speaker 1: But were you blindsided by her leaving? Like I don't
- 21:06Speaker 1: understand why you're so surprised that this woman wouldn't want
- 21:09Speaker 1: to be with you.
- 21:10Speaker 2: I mean, really, there's nothing redeemable about you. And like
- 21:13Speaker 2: you're gonna say this to Michael in this stage conversation
- 21:16Speaker 2: about how you were blindsided by Christine wanting to leave,
- 21:19Speaker 2: But then in your interstitial you'll say, well, yeah, like
- 21:22Speaker 2: I remember there was a time fifteen years ago where
- 21:24Speaker 2: Christine told me she hated polygamy, Like I should have
- 21:27Speaker 2: thought I should have saw the signs then, but I didn't.
- 21:30Speaker 2: And then turn it around again to like blame Christine
- 21:34Speaker 2: for wanting to leave and move on and be with
- 21:37Speaker 2: somebody else other than you.
- 21:38Speaker 1: It's just like and then to say I just chose
- 21:40Speaker 1: to ignore it, right, She told me this thing, and
- 21:43Speaker 1: I just was like, okay, well just deal with it.
- 21:46Speaker 1: And you know, I'm not going to try and heal
- 21:48Speaker 1: it or make it better for you. And I really
- 21:52Speaker 1: resent how Cody and Robin, but also production continue to
- 21:57Speaker 1: try to frame Cody's singular failure as a husband and
- 22:01Speaker 1: a father on polygamy as if the system and the
- 22:05Speaker 1: form and the function of polygamy is the whole problem.
- 22:08Speaker 1: And I think polygamy is a problem, and I think
- 22:11Speaker 1: it's exploitative to women and children. And we've discussed this
- 22:13Speaker 1: to death. I mean they're talking in this episode about
- 22:16Speaker 1: some polygamists who have successful unions, like Joe Darker, Like
- 22:20Speaker 1: we get into a little bit of that, but like
- 22:22Speaker 1: the reason your marriages and your family failed and broke
- 22:26Speaker 1: apart Cody is not because of polygamy. That didn't help, probably,
- 22:30Speaker 1: but it's because of you. It's because of what you
- 22:33Speaker 1: did and your preferences and how you wanted to set
- 22:36Speaker 1: up your new wife in this big mc mansion while
- 22:40Speaker 1: Janelle's down the street having to rent and you won't
- 22:43Speaker 1: even see her kids, not even outside during COVID, Like
- 22:47Speaker 1: that's why your shit fell apart. But for you to
- 22:50Speaker 1: sit in front of Michael and say this and like,
- 22:53Speaker 1: do you really believe that that's what caused all of
- 22:57Speaker 1: these things? Do you really have no cup whatsoever for
- 23:02Speaker 1: introspection to like take an accounting and an inventory of
- 23:05Speaker 1: your own shit, Like it's diabolical, it's pathological.
- 23:11Speaker 2: It is, And he has absolutely no ability to self
- 23:14Speaker 2: reflect because, like later in the episode, he talks about how,
- 23:17Speaker 2: you know, he created some of the jealousy that the
- 23:21Speaker 2: OG three felt, and he said he did that by
- 23:24Speaker 2: putting Robin in this first mcmonsion, But he did it
- 23:28Speaker 2: because he wanted to make sure she was safely kept,
- 23:31Speaker 2: and the OG three just had a problem with him
- 23:35Speaker 2: fighting so hard to make sure she was safely kept.
- 23:37Speaker 2: And it's like that's not even that's.
- 23:40Speaker 1: Not what happened. That's not what happened. And also that's
- 23:45Speaker 1: interesting language because we don't say that we keep our wives, right,
- 23:49Speaker 1: say we keep our mistress. Yeah, that's what we typically.
- 23:52Speaker 1: I mean, in the history of me hearing that term,
- 23:55Speaker 1: it's usually referred to as a side chick or as
- 23:59Speaker 1: a mistress that you're and that you're taking care of
- 24:01Speaker 1: her so she can be around, so that when you
- 24:03Speaker 1: want to fuck her you will or whatever. So it
- 24:05Speaker 1: was just really enlightening languaging that he was using. And
- 24:11Speaker 1: just when he talks and he says these bold lies,
- 24:17Speaker 1: I'm like, you cannot believe that's true. They're not jealous
- 24:19Speaker 1: because you wanted to see her safely kept. They're jealous
- 24:23Speaker 1: because allegedly you siphon the money out of the family
- 24:26Speaker 1: LLC that they were all contributing to in good faith,
- 24:29Speaker 1: and you took their money from the sale of their
- 24:32Speaker 1: homes in the cul de Sac and you funneled it
- 24:34Speaker 1: into the McMansion and then you bought all these assets.
- 24:36Speaker 1: That's why they're upset. While Janelle was living in an RV,
- 24:40Speaker 1: while Mary was having to rent her own home based
- 24:43Speaker 1: on her business that she was doing, which you were
- 24:45Speaker 1: still asking for money.
- 24:46Speaker 2: From that yep. And every time they tried to confront
- 24:50Speaker 2: you on it, and they tried to express like, hey,
- 24:53Speaker 2: you know, this feels inequal and this feels like you're
- 24:56Speaker 2: favoriting Robin. Every single time you blamed it on the OG,
- 25:00Speaker 2: it was always their fault and they were just jealous.
- 25:03Speaker 2: They were comparing their relationships to you and Robin. So
- 25:06Speaker 2: it's just like he can never he can never take
- 25:09Speaker 2: any responsibility or any kind of ownership for his shit.
- 25:12Speaker 2: And it's like when he goes on a show like
- 25:14Speaker 2: Special Forces, which I don't think we're gonna talk about
- 25:17Speaker 2: this week because he was like barely even on it.
- 25:19Speaker 1: It wasn't on it last week either, it wasn't.
- 25:21Speaker 2: But it's just like this show, right, is framed on
- 25:25Speaker 2: like you have to confront your crap, You have to
- 25:28Speaker 2: deal with your stuff, you have to really be at
- 25:31Speaker 2: war with yourself and like.
- 25:33Speaker 1: Work Special Forces.
- 25:34Speaker 2: Yeah, Special Forces, And like Cody's on this and it's like,
- 25:37Speaker 2: what kind of shit are you confronting on there? Nothing
- 25:40Speaker 2: nearly except your baldness.
- 25:43Speaker 1: And he's not even confronting that. Although wasn't there a
- 25:46Speaker 1: rumor on Reddit or something where somebody said they saw
- 25:49Speaker 1: him somewhere and he had short hair. Was yes, somebody
- 25:55Speaker 1: drop a link because I know that I saw that.
- 25:58Speaker 1: I don't think there's a picture, but somebody said they
- 26:01Speaker 1: saw him and he had short hair or shorn hair.
- 26:04Speaker 1: Like I don't know if he's just embracing the bald.
- 26:06Speaker 1: I don't know if he's seeing some of the footage
- 26:08Speaker 1: of like Mary and Jen making fun of him, and
- 26:11Speaker 1: like all the other people in the world making fun
- 26:13Speaker 1: of him, and he's just said, Yolo, I'm gonna shave
- 26:15Speaker 1: my head. Oh but that would be wonderful and the
- 26:18Speaker 1: right choice, honestly.
- 26:20Speaker 2: I mean really because his hair. I mean it's been
- 26:23Speaker 2: bad for so many years. I mean the entirety of
- 26:26Speaker 2: this show is like surrounded by his terrible hair. But
- 26:29Speaker 2: like this year it's really awful. Like it's just morphed
- 26:33Speaker 2: into a scullet with these like few little tendrils on top.
- 26:37Speaker 2: And then now you have this.
- 26:37Speaker 1: Douche go tea without a mustache, which is really weird,
- 26:41Speaker 1: very strange. But like he's also got like rubber bands
- 26:43Speaker 1: in his hair, and I think he's got like headbands.
- 26:46Speaker 1: Sometimes I'm a curly girl, like as you can see,
- 26:50Speaker 1: but like I have very long, curly hair. It takes
- 26:54Speaker 1: a lot bit. I have got to be very mindful
- 26:57Speaker 1: about how I take care of my hair. Otherwise it's
- 26:59Speaker 1: just a frisball, yeah, and it's very damaged and it's
- 27:02Speaker 1: a big drag. And so I know how, I know
- 27:05Speaker 1: how I have to take care of my hair, and
- 27:06Speaker 1: so I know he's doing the same thing. Yeah, But
- 27:09Speaker 1: like why I wouldn't be doing that if I was
- 27:11Speaker 1: largely bald, Honey, I would just Sinad O'Connor that and
- 27:14Speaker 1: I would I would Britney spears it, I would shave
- 27:17Speaker 1: my head and I would embrace it for real. It
- 27:19Speaker 1: can't because he's driven by image.
- 27:21Speaker 2: It's so embarrassing.
- 27:22Speaker 1: He's driven by ego.
- 27:23Speaker 2: Well, and it's like I've said before, like I don't
- 27:25Speaker 2: know why you didn't spend some of the money that
- 27:27Speaker 2: you siphoned from everybody on going to Turkey and getting
- 27:30Speaker 2: hair plugs, Like you would have had enough, Honey, with
- 27:32Speaker 2: all the stuff that you're buying, all the artwork and
- 27:34Speaker 2: the American girl dolls and all these cars and the mansions,
- 27:37Speaker 2: like you could have afforded some hair plugs so you
- 27:41Speaker 2: could have kept.
- 27:42Speaker 1: Maybe, I mean, Janelle kind of touches on the money
- 27:45Speaker 1: a little bit. And she does say in this episode
- 27:48Speaker 1: that she heard on social media along with everybody else,
- 27:52Speaker 1: that they were moving into this new house and that
- 27:54Speaker 1: this is like a really big mortgage. And so when
- 27:58Speaker 1: she learned that, it caused start a question, while does
- 28:01Speaker 1: this mean maybe something's going to happen with Coyote Pass
- 28:04Speaker 1: because he probably needs some money because that's a big
- 28:07Speaker 1: old mortgage. And she knows enough, doesn't she As the
- 28:10Speaker 1: former accountant or bookkeeper of the record, she knows how
- 28:15Speaker 1: much approximately they were actually working with, so she would
- 28:18Speaker 1: know that he's probably stretched pretty thin. And then when
- 28:21Speaker 1: while I was watching this boring episode, I was like,
- 28:24Speaker 1: what else can I do? Can I multitask? So I
- 28:27Speaker 1: looked up when the Browns moved to Lehigh, when the
- 28:33Speaker 1: Browns moved to Vegas, when the Browns moved to flag Staff.
- 28:39Speaker 1: So when they moved into the Lehigh House, Leon was
- 28:43Speaker 1: approximately ten or eleven years old. Okay, when they moved
- 28:48Speaker 1: to Vegas, it was like twenty eleven. They lived in
- 28:52Speaker 1: Vegas in the rentals for like a year year and
- 28:55Speaker 1: a half, So twenty twelve twenty thirteen is about when
- 28:59Speaker 1: they moved into the call de Sac. Okay, So it's
- 29:02Speaker 1: about five years because that's that's Leon's senior year, okay, okay,
- 29:08Speaker 1: And so about five or six years in the cul
- 29:12Speaker 1: de Sac, and then they move, and then they move
- 29:14Speaker 1: to flag Staff and Robin gets the McMansion and it's
- 29:19Speaker 1: five or six years later that they are now moving
- 29:22Speaker 1: to the second McMansion. So Lehi to Vegas about five years,
- 29:25Speaker 1: five six, Vegas to Flagstaff about five six, and then
- 29:31Speaker 1: Flagstaff one to Flagstaff two about five or six. Now
- 29:33Speaker 1: why am I saying this because we have spoken at
- 29:36Speaker 1: length about what kind of loans they are taking out
- 29:40Speaker 1: to mortgage these homes. And again Janelle saying in this
- 29:44Speaker 1: episode he needs money. Yep, that's why they're going to
- 29:47Speaker 1: be willing to move and negotiate on Coyote Pass because
- 29:50Speaker 1: I know he needs money. I bet they bought this
- 29:53Speaker 1: second McMansion on an interest only loan, which these typically
- 29:58Speaker 1: come in five or ten year loan structures, meaning you
- 30:03Speaker 1: pay interest only for the first five, seven or ten years,
- 30:06Speaker 1: and then after that the principle is due and for
- 30:08Speaker 1: the remaining twenty five years you pay the full amount. Oh,
- 30:11Speaker 1: so that is probably how they got into this new house.
- 30:14Speaker 1: I think they've been doing this the entire time, although
- 30:16Speaker 1: they held onto Lehigh for a while.
- 30:18Speaker 2: Right, it did, Yeah, they still owned it when they
- 30:20Speaker 2: ran in the cul de Sac and stuff allegedly.
- 30:22Speaker 1: Right right, And they go back and they're renovating and
- 30:24Speaker 1: they're doing stuff, and so I'm not quite sure, but
- 30:26Speaker 1: I just I think that's how they're structuring a lot
- 30:30Speaker 1: of their loans in order to facilitate this ostentatious lifestyle
- 30:37Speaker 1: that again is a house of cards that any wind
- 30:40Speaker 1: in any direction is going to knock over. And also,
- 30:44Speaker 1: we didn't get to it in our after party last week,
- 30:47Speaker 1: but somebody had left a comment about Special Forces. Was
- 30:50Speaker 1: it on YouTube? Oh yeah, was it on Patreon?
- 30:52Speaker 2: Let me pull it up. Okay, so this was on
- 30:54Speaker 2: our YouTube and it was from user gadget grim one
- 30:58Speaker 2: who says, apparently the payout for Special Forces is between
- 31:03Speaker 2: one hundred thousand to five hundred thousand. They can negotiate
- 31:07Speaker 2: for a higher payout if they have the clout. It's
- 31:11Speaker 2: possible they paid Cody even more than one hundred k.
- 31:15Speaker 1: Or even more than five hundred k. And so we're
- 31:17Speaker 1: all asking the question, like, why would you go on
- 31:20Speaker 1: Special Forces? I think first and foremost he's going on
- 31:24Speaker 1: Special Forces because he wants to be a real man.
- 31:27Speaker 1: He talks about when in this episode yet being a
- 31:30Speaker 1: real man Kyl even though like he wasn't able to
- 31:33Speaker 1: achieve what his father achieved with polygamy. You can tell
- 31:36Speaker 1: he really admires and looks up to his father. So
- 31:39Speaker 1: I think he went on Special Forces to show us
- 31:41Speaker 1: that he could and that he could excel. And to
- 31:43Speaker 1: my knowledge, I didn't watch the last one, sorry, import
- 31:46Speaker 1: but you may knowledge like he's excelling and he's doing well,
- 31:49Speaker 1: but secondarily or primarily, it's for the money. And you're
- 31:53Speaker 1: telling me that they're paying each person on Special Forces,
- 31:57Speaker 1: aren't there like fifteen of them?
- 31:58Speaker 2: Or yeah, seems it's crazy to me.
- 32:00Speaker 1: I know, one to five hundred thousand dollars that's a
- 32:03Speaker 1: good payday.
- 32:04Speaker 2: That is a really good payday, No wonder you have
- 32:06Speaker 2: people like Britney Carr right going on just to make
- 32:09Speaker 2: the money, even mortgage honey, yeah really because Jack screwed
- 32:13Speaker 2: her so bad. So I mean, if that's the case,
- 32:16Speaker 2: like he's just going to keep doing this, He's just
- 32:18Speaker 2: going to keep going to different various reality if he
- 32:22Speaker 2: can episodes if he's a.
- 32:23Speaker 1: Does he have enough cloud? I don't know, I don't.
- 32:26Speaker 2: I don't know. I mean people hate him.
- 32:28Speaker 1: Yeah, and he's and he's he's so toxic.
- 32:30Speaker 2: And people love that, like people love rage bait, and
- 32:33Speaker 2: people will watch it and people will pay money for it, unfortunately.
- 32:38Speaker 2: And I mean it's like even with this, like you know,
- 32:40Speaker 2: we covered Special Forces because he was on it, Like
- 32:43Speaker 2: we would never watch that show in general if he
- 32:45Speaker 2: wasn't really on it. I mean I wouldn't watch it
- 32:48Speaker 2: he wasn't on it. So I just think that rage sells,
- 32:51Speaker 2: so people are gonna watch whatever he's on.
- 32:54Speaker 1: I just don't know, like what other platform he would
- 32:56Speaker 1: be a fit for, maybe traders something like that, and
- 32:59Speaker 1: I bet that would be like a fantastic payday for
- 33:01Speaker 1: him as well. But they need money. They do at
- 33:03Speaker 1: this time that we're watching, and I think right now too,
- 33:06Speaker 1: they are incentivized by the paycheck. And that's because the
- 33:10Speaker 1: mortgage is what it is, even if they're just paying interest,
- 33:13Speaker 1: they're paying something. Then they've got all those cars and
- 33:15Speaker 1: they have to ensure everything, and they're probably doing renovations,
- 33:18Speaker 1: like it is a lot of money.
- 33:20Speaker 2: Well, and it's like watching this episode and watching this
- 33:23Speaker 2: season in general, I'm like, there really isn't a lot
- 33:26Speaker 2: of content here, and it's like, you know, with when
- 33:29Speaker 2: we get to the family in North Carolina. I have
- 33:32Speaker 2: nothing against the family that's out there. I think it's
- 33:35Speaker 2: great that Janelle's out there with her farm and she's
- 33:37Speaker 2: out there with the grandkids and stuff. It just doesn't
- 33:39Speaker 2: make for compelling TV. They don't have like exciting TV
- 33:43Speaker 2: lives that I want to watch, Like it's cool that
- 33:45Speaker 2: you got a flower farm, it's great that you want
- 33:48Speaker 2: to cut down Christmas trees and stuff.
- 33:50Speaker 1: Yeah, but let me like interrupt you by saying I
- 33:52Speaker 1: was actually charmed by that. I loved I actually loved
- 33:57Speaker 1: seeing them cut down the Christmas tree. I loved seeing
- 34:01Speaker 1: the grandkids. I mean, I have a sense of nostalgia
- 34:05Speaker 1: for the family. I want the kids and Janelle in
- 34:07Speaker 1: particular to succeed and be really happy. So I liked
- 34:11Speaker 1: I actually liked seeing that. But I get your point, like,
- 34:14Speaker 1: I don't want to see that every week. That's not
- 34:16Speaker 1: going to hold my interest for twenty episodes. You've got
- 34:20Speaker 1: to be bringing me something different, Like, but I do
- 34:22Speaker 1: have a curiosity, like, well, how is it going to
- 34:25Speaker 1: be when you when you break round and build your homes,
- 34:27Speaker 1: and how are you gonna make those choices? Like there
- 34:30Speaker 1: is some curiosity there for me, But maybe it's because
- 34:32Speaker 1: I'm like older or so did and I'm interested in that.
- 34:35Speaker 2: No. I mean, like, I think it's fine. It just
- 34:37Speaker 2: doesn't make for like a good hour long episode. I
- 34:40Speaker 2: guess like it'd be great for HDTV, you know what
- 34:42Speaker 2: I mean. Like, I think it's cool, and I like
- 34:44Speaker 2: to keep up with them. I could keep up with
- 34:46Speaker 2: them on social media. I guess. Like my point is
- 34:48Speaker 2: like these people don't have a lot of exciting things
- 34:53Speaker 2: to watch on TV, or like an exciting life to
- 34:55Speaker 2: watch on TV, And so I feel like this show
- 34:57Speaker 2: is only really sticking around because of Codine Robin. Maybe
- 35:01Speaker 2: that's why we're getting so much of them, because what
- 35:04Speaker 2: else is there to film with Christine and David, like
- 35:06Speaker 2: walking down their street and her complaining because the kids
- 35:09Speaker 2: seem to like Janelle more than HER's.
- 35:11Speaker 1: The only content that they're actually offering is safe content, right.
- 35:16Speaker 1: They don't want to reveal anything about themselves, and we
- 35:19Speaker 1: even had Mary say to production in her interstitial like
- 35:22Speaker 1: that's all you're gonna get I'm like, what do you mean,
- 35:24Speaker 1: that's all we're gonna get. You're getting paid for this,
- 35:28Speaker 1: This is your job. You entered into an agreement to
- 35:32Speaker 1: share your lives. This is why Andy Cohen, for example,
- 35:35Speaker 1: get so pissed off on at some of these real
- 35:38Speaker 1: housewives who decide to reserve portions of their lives, yeah,
- 35:43Speaker 1: to not share on the program that they're being paid
- 35:46Speaker 1: to show their lives on, and instead they're putting them
- 35:49Speaker 1: behind like a paywall, like Robin Dixon on Potomac, Like
- 35:52Speaker 1: she's like, no, you're gonna have to sign up to
- 35:53Speaker 1: my Patreon if you want to know like the intricacies
- 35:56Speaker 1: of my marriage or whatever. It is, Like, no, bitch,
- 35:58Speaker 1: we're paying you a very, very pretty pennies. Did you
- 36:01Speaker 1: share that now? And that you show us the ugly
- 36:03Speaker 1: stuff now, because that's why people are watching. But TLC
- 36:07Speaker 1: just has a culture of like safe content. Whether it's
- 36:11Speaker 1: the Goslins or the Duggers or a lot of these
- 36:14Speaker 1: little people just running around on pumpkin patches and stuff
- 36:17Speaker 1: like that, it's just very safe content. And we always
- 36:20Speaker 1: are in the position of having to be intuitive right
- 36:23Speaker 1: about what else is happening underneath and I'm just I'm
- 36:26Speaker 1: getting tired of that me too.
- 36:27Speaker 2: It is very curated, and you have like this specific
- 36:30Speaker 2: narrative that's sewn in from the producers, and we don't
- 36:33Speaker 2: know if it's like one true or if it's a
- 36:36Speaker 2: bunch of fakery. And it's really annoying, especially in a
- 36:39Speaker 2: show like Sister Wise where everybody's like analyzing the hell
- 36:42Speaker 2: out of it, and like this family blew apart two
- 36:45Speaker 2: seasons ago, so like why can't we just be raw,
- 36:48Speaker 2: honest and like spill the tea and get drama like
- 36:52Speaker 2: you guys would have so many more fans too, like.
- 36:54Speaker 1: Oh my god, yes, oh my god, people caught wind
- 36:57Speaker 1: that you were actually talking about things we all want
- 37:01Speaker 1: for you to talk about, like people would be people
- 37:03Speaker 1: absolutely would be frothing at the mouth and turning on
- 37:07Speaker 1: their televisions to watch. But we're not gonna get it.
- 37:10Speaker 1: I mean, in the preview, not to jump ahead, but
- 37:12Speaker 1: like we see Jen saying to Mary, like when are
- 37:15Speaker 1: you just gonna say like he's an asshole?
- 37:17Speaker 2: Right?
- 37:17Speaker 1: When are you gonna admit these guys the worst? Like
- 37:21Speaker 1: tell the truth, Mary.
- 37:22Speaker 2: Come on, weary up. But we're never gonna get it
- 37:24Speaker 2: from her. So after Cody Robin pack up their stupid
- 37:29Speaker 2: mansion and give us that fake spiel about polygamy and
- 37:32Speaker 2: blah blah blah.
- 37:33Speaker 1: And pray and bring the kids into the prayer circle, Brianna,
- 37:38Speaker 1: are you gonna be okay? And Brianna raises from her
- 37:42Speaker 1: coffin and she's like, well, I don't know how to food.
- 37:50Speaker 1: Just literally everyone's so morose in that family except for Cody.
- 37:56Speaker 2: I mean, really, though, could you imagine living in that family?
- 37:59Speaker 2: I would be so freaking depressed, Like I'm like Dayton
- 38:01Speaker 2: wherever the hell yeah is?
- 38:03Speaker 1: Thank god he got away.
- 38:04Speaker 2: Honestly, this is so depressing. But yeah, like I literally
- 38:08Speaker 2: wrote that in my notes, Cody Robin and their vampire
- 38:11Speaker 2: children go and pray and they're make Mangion like, stop it.
- 38:15Speaker 2: You guys are not godly people at all. Soever.
- 38:18Speaker 1: You shouldn't bring God into this. It's very blasphemous what
- 38:21Speaker 1: you have done to your family.
- 38:23Speaker 2: God doesn't want to be a part of your family. Shit.
- 38:25Speaker 2: But and then we have Robin, like Fate crying at
- 38:28Speaker 2: the end about like leaving the mansion, and I'm like,
- 38:30Speaker 2: I don't care about I.
- 38:31Speaker 1: Hate you so much, Robin. And after we saw all
- 38:35Speaker 1: of Maddy's stories. By the way, we talked about that
- 38:37Speaker 1: in our after show last week. I'm Patreon, but Mattie's
- 38:41Speaker 1: Maddie said something that was interesting to me. She's like,
- 38:43Speaker 1: you know, with my dad, I'm leaving the door open
- 38:45Speaker 1: a little bit. I don't know if he's capable. I
- 38:48Speaker 1: don't know if I can be in a relationship with
- 38:51Speaker 1: the person that he is. I'm just trying to face
- 38:53Speaker 1: who that is. Like, she had a little just a
- 38:56Speaker 1: little bit of grace for her father, but when it
- 38:59Speaker 1: came to Robin, she's like, if her lips are moving,
- 39:02Speaker 1: that bitch is lying. I don't trust a thing that
- 39:05Speaker 1: she says, and nobody else should either. So then we
- 39:08Speaker 1: get these scenes with Robin when she's like, you know,
- 39:11Speaker 1: I've cried in my own private movements. I don't believe
- 39:15Speaker 1: the thing you're saying, not at all.
- 39:16Speaker 2: I don't think she's unhappy about literally anything that has happened. Like,
- 39:20Speaker 2: I don't think she cares about any of the family.
- 39:22Speaker 2: She's so happy with her life with Maybe she's not
- 39:26Speaker 2: happy with Cody, but like, that's the life that you chose,
- 39:28Speaker 2: Those are the cards that you chose. But she's happy
- 39:31Speaker 2: that her kids get to live in a two point
- 39:32Speaker 2: one million dollar mc mansion while everyone else has to
- 39:35Speaker 2: figure their shit out. She thinks she got it made
- 39:37Speaker 2: with her ambient and her American.
- 39:39Speaker 1: Currently she does have it made. Yeah, like she has
- 39:42Speaker 1: achieved everything that she wanted. And so I'm sure she's
- 39:46Speaker 1: just very smugly happy. But is she happy with Cody?
- 39:51Speaker 1: I couldn't quite tell you. I mean, I wouldn't be.
- 39:53Speaker 1: I wouldn't be either. I'd be so annoyed by him, seriously.
- 39:56Speaker 2: And then the only other thing that came out of
- 39:58Speaker 2: this episode was the family in North Carolina talking a
- 40:01Speaker 2: little bit of smack about Cody and how he was
- 40:04Speaker 2: a big old failure with polygamy, because they mentioned the
- 40:07Speaker 2: Dargers and Joe Darker specifically, and how he's a man
- 40:11Speaker 2: that has done polygamy right and his family seems to
- 40:15Speaker 2: be very united and very happy. The wives seemed to
- 40:19Speaker 2: be very happy and united, and so therefore it's because
- 40:23Speaker 2: he's a great polygamist and Cody was not.
- 40:27Speaker 1: Right. I mean, and I could just make my Patty
- 40:30Speaker 1: little arguments. Having watched the season where Joe Darker brought
- 40:34Speaker 1: his wives and they went to California, or something to
- 40:37Speaker 1: the beach or whatever, Like Joe Darker seemed very militant,
- 40:41Speaker 1: and then we met his kids who were like legitimately
- 40:43Speaker 1: afraid of him. So I don't think he's this paragon
- 40:45Speaker 1: of spirituality in my opinion. And so I thought it
- 40:48Speaker 1: was weird that Janelle was extolling his virtues so much.
- 40:51Speaker 1: And even Cody sitting on the couch, was careful about
- 40:55Speaker 1: what he said about Joe Darker because we know that
- 40:58Speaker 1: Joe Darker, once these marriages started falling apart in Cody's life,
- 41:02Speaker 1: he like actually made a statement and he blamed Cody
- 41:05Speaker 1: for it. He did, And so Cody has a healthy
- 41:08Speaker 1: amount of respect for Joe Darker because he didn't come
- 41:10Speaker 1: for him.
- 41:11Speaker 2: No.
- 41:11Speaker 1: Yeah, and he could have.
- 41:12Speaker 2: He definitely could have. I did like that little tibbit.
- 41:16Speaker 2: I thought that was a little juicy, but it was
- 41:18Speaker 2: like not enough that this boring episode and then we
- 41:21Speaker 2: have Cody again like saying he struggled to be devoted
- 41:25Speaker 2: to all of the wives equally, but also they were
- 41:28Speaker 2: bad and not devoted to me either. It's like really
- 41:32Speaker 2: on them, It's not on me, Yeah, it's really on
- 41:34Speaker 2: them because they weren't attractive to me.
- 41:37Speaker 1: I just hate him. He's so he equivocates, he can't
- 41:40Speaker 1: take responsibility for anything. There's no humility. He's just a
- 41:44Speaker 1: terrible person. Yep, to have to watch every single week.
- 41:47Speaker 1: But I do it for you, I know, and I
- 41:49Speaker 1: do it for you. I do it for you. But
- 41:51Speaker 1: then I like have to pray. I know, I have
- 41:52Speaker 1: to center myself. I have to like do a little
- 41:55Speaker 1: meditation and just get back to the goodness in life
- 41:58Speaker 1: because it ain't Cody.
- 41:59Speaker 2: No, it ain't rob And honestly, he looks so freaking weird.
- 42:03Speaker 1: He doesn't look good. It's like he lost a lot
- 42:04Speaker 1: of weight in his training for Special Forces, so he
- 42:07Speaker 1: has like insufficient body fat now. And then he shaved
- 42:11Speaker 1: his mustache really bad and is weird like four veneers
- 42:17Speaker 1: that he has, so.
- 42:20Speaker 2: I can't not look at them now that you pointed
- 42:22Speaker 2: them out, I'm like, oh my god, you look bad
- 42:24Speaker 2: weird man.
- 42:26Speaker 1: Well, you know how, over the years and the seasons
- 42:30Speaker 1: that we have been watching, there's been an ongoing conversation
- 42:33Speaker 1: that we've been having about Robin, like where we try
- 42:36Speaker 1: to deeply question ourselves as to whether, like, is she
- 42:39Speaker 1: being a puppet master or is she kind of unconsciously
- 42:43Speaker 1: just playing out this drama that initiated with her mother
- 42:46Speaker 1: and her mother's marriage, Like where's she coming from? Like
- 42:50Speaker 1: I feel like though that question has been answered. I
- 42:54Speaker 1: think Robin is a despicable, lying, thieving a lie in
- 43:00Speaker 1: my opinion person. Yeah, and like she has orchestrated this
- 43:05Speaker 1: entire thing. Ye, And I believe Maddie when she says
- 43:08Speaker 1: if her lips are moving, she's lying. And I think
- 43:11Speaker 1: Cody knows. I think Cody participated in this, And so
- 43:15Speaker 1: I just don't think the questions remains as far as
- 43:18Speaker 1: we're concerned. Would you agree? Oh?
- 43:19Speaker 2: Yeah, I agree.
- 43:20Speaker 1: She's a terrible, terrible person.
- 43:21Speaker 2: She's so evil it's such a suckubuss and it shows
- 43:24Speaker 2: like in her appearance too, Like every season she's looking
- 43:28Speaker 2: a little bit worse and a looking well, we.
- 43:29Speaker 1: Do get older, honey, and then it happens.
- 43:32Speaker 2: I'm not even trying to like aig shamer or anything.
- 43:34Speaker 2: It's just like when you're so evil, the evil just
- 43:37Speaker 2: kind of like seeps into you and makes you kind
- 43:41Speaker 2: of leathery and looking, you know what I mean.
- 43:43Speaker 1: I'm just saying, we'll see definitely Cody, yeah, for sure,
- 43:48Speaker 1: and her too, well look great.
- 43:51Speaker 2: Well they don't look great. I'm sorry they don't. They're
- 43:53Speaker 2: evil people, they're gross as within. So without the body
- 43:58Speaker 2: keeps the score.
- 43:58Speaker 1: That's right, this good girl exactly.
- 44:02Speaker 2: So then we get to the preview for next week.
- 44:04Speaker 2: We have David telling Janelle to go on Farmers only
- 44:07Speaker 2: dot com, which I did like because we've been saying
- 44:10Speaker 2: that for a long time. And then we have Jen
- 44:13Speaker 2: like you had just mentioned, asking Mary like how much
- 44:16Speaker 2: longer until you realize that Cody's a piece of fucking shit?
- 44:19Speaker 2: And Mary's just gonna be like, well he was great
- 44:22Speaker 2: in the beginning, Well, but she's just gonna call for him.
- 44:26Speaker 2: And then we have Mary saying she doesn't know why
- 44:29Speaker 2: the four of them her Janelle, Cody, and Robin can't
- 44:32Speaker 2: just divide code who pass equally between the four of them?
- 44:36Speaker 2: Like why does it have to be like Cody and
- 44:38Speaker 2: Robin get fifty percent and they each get twenty five?
- 44:42Speaker 2: Don't know? And then we have Aurora dating a guy
- 44:46Speaker 2: named Brody, and now we're gonna have to watch content
- 44:49Speaker 2: about that about Aurora, who's like twenty four or something.
- 44:53Speaker 1: Yeah, dating a guy.
- 44:54Speaker 2: I don't care. Yeah, I literally don't care.
- 44:56Speaker 1: At all, Yeah, that's what it's going to be.
- 45:01Speaker 2: Oh my god, Geat wait, well.
- 45:04Speaker 1: Is there anything else that we need to say to
- 45:06Speaker 1: these beautiful raccoons before we get up on at Here Beadrid?
- 45:09Speaker 2: Well, if you love our podcast, please go to your
- 45:11Speaker 2: favorite podcast platform and leave us a glowing five star review.
- 45:15Speaker 2: It really helps us scrow the pod so more people
- 45:17Speaker 2: can join us in the dumpster. We really appreciate it,
- 45:19Speaker 2: so thank you very much.
- 45:20Speaker 1: I do just want to acknowledge that we're pretty negative
- 45:24Speaker 1: about this show.
- 45:25Speaker 2: We are a little bit like.
- 45:26Speaker 1: And I I I want to be entertained. I want
- 45:31Speaker 1: to have a lot of fun. Yeah, I don't want
- 45:33Speaker 1: to have like the primary fun that we have, like
- 45:35Speaker 1: just totally shitting all over these people, but like it
- 45:38Speaker 1: does end up that way. Yeah, And so I do
- 45:40Speaker 1: apologize if sometimes it's a bit more negative than other times.
- 45:44Speaker 1: It depends on the show that we're watching. Sometimes, like
- 45:46Speaker 1: we're so excited we're about to review the Merry Fields,
- 45:50Speaker 1: which as we've got some things to say for Seeking
- 45:52Speaker 1: Sister Wife, Like, we do have fun with some of
- 45:54Speaker 1: these shows, but like this season is awful. It's been
- 45:57Speaker 1: really tough. So I'm going to just try in the
- 45:59Speaker 1: future to just be a little bit more optimistic and
- 46:02Speaker 1: have some fun with it. I did like Micheltie's hair bit.
- 46:06Speaker 1: I'm trying to be positive.
- 46:08Speaker 2: She's very pretty.
- 46:09Speaker 1: She is still brought up.
- 46:10Speaker 2: She is very pretty.
- 46:11Speaker 1: I'll give her that, So I'm gonna be working on that.
- 46:12Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 46:13Speaker 1: Just note to self and note to all y'all. Okay,
- 46:15Speaker 1: we will be back later this week to talk seeking
- 46:18Speaker 1: sister wife. Make sure to come back for that, and
- 46:21Speaker 1: until that, please do not forget that we have nothing
- 46:23Speaker 1: but love for you and pease night.
- 46:28Speaker 2: Bye Ba
