- 0:12Speaker 2: You worked for Chris Christie, have been POLLOISI on a
- 0:14Speaker 2: lot of public service stuff. Rich Valdez calmunist now with
- 0:17Speaker 2: the Washington Times. This is America, Richiev. You're on the
- 0:20Speaker 2: air with the Nation. Nation with America with your host,
- 0:24Speaker 2: Rich Valdez. What's up America. I am Rich Valdes Valdez
- 0:29Speaker 2: with an s at Rich Valdez on all of the
- 0:32Speaker 2: social media. Happy to be here with you this Friday,
- 0:35Speaker 2: and it is truly a blessing. And check this out.
- 0:38Speaker 2: You've got mister Mamdani heads to Washington to meet with
- 0:41Speaker 2: President Trump in the White House. Then Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Green,
- 0:46Speaker 2: MTG has resigned from Congress effective next year. And this
- 0:52Speaker 2: all comes after her beef with a Trompito and Aldis Magnus,
- 0:55Speaker 2: the forty fifth and forty seventh president of these United States.
- 0:58Speaker 2: Plus how House military veterans from the Republican Conference have
- 1:03Speaker 2: clapped back at the Democrat members and their seditious video.
- 1:07Speaker 2: So we're going to get into a bunch of this stuff. Tonight,
- 1:09Speaker 2: plus a little bit on Niccolo Machiavelli, because I think
- 1:12Speaker 2: it's so appropriate given the know how things are playing
- 1:17Speaker 2: out in politics right now. But I want to start
- 1:19Speaker 2: with a question, and my question is, would you be
- 1:23Speaker 2: against an America where we had less crime, less polarization,
- 1:28Speaker 2: and people actually got along. Is that something you'd be
- 1:30Speaker 2: opposed to? Some of our friends on the left, even
- 1:33Speaker 2: some on the right, are typically opposed to being colonized, right,
- 1:37Speaker 2: I don't think anybody likes that. Would you be opposed
- 1:39Speaker 2: to being colonized? I think I would. I don't want
- 1:42Speaker 2: to be colonized. Now, what would you say when people
- 1:46Speaker 2: from a different place, a different land, come to your
- 1:49Speaker 2: land in large numbers, wishing to make a change on
- 1:54Speaker 2: your land? Is that enough to characterize what's going on
- 1:58Speaker 2: as being colonized? Are these colonizers coming after you in
- 2:03Speaker 2: your way of life and your culture and things like that?
- 2:08Speaker 2: When you see the culture around you changing, in particular
- 2:11Speaker 2: in the Western hemisphere, North America, whatever, in particular religious culture,
- 2:19Speaker 2: is this not colonizers taking over? I don't know the
- 2:24Speaker 2: answer to that. Maybe you do. I'm just asking for
- 2:27Speaker 2: a friend, But we're going to ponder that question throughout
- 2:30Speaker 2: the program tonight, because those are things that matter, right
- 2:35Speaker 2: when you change language, when you change faith, these are
- 2:41Speaker 2: things that are truly, truly what make up a tribe, right,
- 2:46Speaker 2: and America has been a melting pot of many tribes.
- 2:50Speaker 2: And I get that, right. I mean, you go to
- 2:53Speaker 2: Puerto Rico, most people there are Christians. You go to
- 2:55Speaker 2: the Dominican Republic, most people there are Christians. You go
- 2:59Speaker 2: to Cuba, I don't know that most people there are Christians.
- 3:04Speaker 2: I believe if they are religious, they're likely split amongst
- 3:09Speaker 2: atheism because it's a communist country and they're not allowed
- 3:11Speaker 2: to celebrate Christmas. It's also a country that's steeped in
- 3:17Speaker 2: spiritual tradition, similar to the other islands, where you know
- 3:22Speaker 2: you have these what is that stuff called not voodoo.
- 3:27Speaker 2: I'm forgetting Santia, so I understand that too. But I
- 3:33Speaker 2: think by and large, the contiguous forty eight here in
- 3:37Speaker 2: the United States match what you see in the Caribbean,
- 3:42Speaker 2: match what you see in most of North America, if
- 3:45Speaker 2: not skewing in the other direction. Now that's not to
- 3:49Speaker 2: say that you know this is always going to be
- 3:54Speaker 2: the case, right, I don't think it is. I think
- 3:56Speaker 2: We're seeing a quick change, a vast change in that,
- 4:01Speaker 2: and I want to ponder that as we go through
- 4:05Speaker 2: this evening. Right, this is kind of like a tease
- 4:07Speaker 2: to put that out there, to wet the appetite. Wet
- 4:10Speaker 2: with an h and I'm gonna shift gears a little
- 4:14Speaker 2: bit to a meeting that occurred today, a meeting between
- 4:20Speaker 2: the President of the United States, and I was gonna say,
- 4:25Speaker 2: Barak Hussein Mamdani, and I didn't mean that to be funny.
- 4:27Speaker 2: I was saying that, you know, I guess Freudian slip
- 4:30Speaker 2: if you will, But between Mayor elect Zoran Mamdani and
- 4:36Speaker 2: a Trompezo DONALDUS Magnus to forty fifth to forty seventh
- 4:39Speaker 2: president of these United States.
- 4:42Speaker 3: And my.
- 4:44Speaker 2: Initial reaction to this, and you get most of it,
- 4:47Speaker 2: I just only saw these videos a little while ago,
- 4:50Speaker 2: is that there's been a real shift in the tone.
- 4:53Speaker 2: Right Zarah Mamdani was talking about I Am going to
- 4:56Speaker 2: be his worst nightmare. Remember that. I think I have
- 4:59Speaker 2: a clip of that. Play the clip.
- 5:04Speaker 1: My administration would be Donald Trump's worst nightmare. Thank you President.
- 5:10Speaker 2: That's today at the White House.
- 5:12Speaker 1: I appreciated the meeting with the President and as he said,
- 5:15Speaker 1: it was a productive meeting focused on a place of
- 5:18Speaker 1: shared admiration and love, which is New York City. And
- 5:22Speaker 1: listen to that, my administration would be Donald Trump's worst nightmare.
- 5:28Speaker 2: So what happened to his administration being Donald Trump's worst nightmare?
- 5:32Speaker 1: Right?
- 5:32Speaker 2: Where's all that that grand standing, Where's all that that
- 5:36Speaker 2: tough guy talk. Now he's dealing with somebody. He's way
- 5:40Speaker 2: out of his league. He's a sharp guy. I can't
- 5:42Speaker 2: I'm not going to say he's he's dumb. I think
- 5:44Speaker 2: oftentimes I think my comments get you know, read the
- 5:48Speaker 2: wrong way. Just because I make fun of somebody doesn't
- 5:50Speaker 2: mean I always think they're dumb. I may not agree
- 5:53Speaker 2: with them, some of their ideas may be dumb, and
- 5:56Speaker 2: some of their responses in the media may be dumb.
- 5:59Speaker 2: But I don't think they're dumb, right, I don't think
- 6:01Speaker 2: people that are really dumb as rocks actually win elections.
- 6:05Speaker 2: They're cunning, their slick, they're sly. So let me put
- 6:11Speaker 2: that out there to preface that. But I'm gonna say
- 6:15Speaker 2: Mamdani met with President Trump today and I thought this
- 6:18Speaker 2: was interesting because it really it was a master class
- 6:23Speaker 2: in the art of the deal in many ways. It
- 6:26Speaker 2: was a master class in understanding, uh, Machiavelli. Right. And
- 6:33Speaker 2: I'm not saying that either one of them is being
- 6:35Speaker 2: Machiavelli in per se. But Machiavelli was famous for you know,
- 6:40Speaker 2: they call him the godfather of modern political thought because
- 6:46Speaker 2: dealing with the body politic up until you know, his
- 6:50Speaker 2: thinking became popularized. At least my understanding of it was
- 6:55Speaker 2: based on one's morality, Right, you were in politics to
- 7:00Speaker 2: advance your morality, to advance kind of shared morality, to
- 7:03Speaker 2: maintain the morality and safety and security and order. And
- 7:10Speaker 2: Machiavelli had a different concept that was like, no, no, no,
- 7:13Speaker 2: this is politics. This is about balancing the influence of
- 7:16Speaker 2: power in my direction, gaining that power, amassing that power,
- 7:21Speaker 2: and influencing others. And in realizing that he would use
- 7:25Speaker 2: this pragmatic view that didn't focus on morality but focused
- 7:29Speaker 2: on political power it and you know, it creates opens
- 7:34Speaker 2: the door, opens up dialogue for an entire new dimension,
- 7:39Speaker 2: a new dynamic. And President Trump understands this. He understands
- 7:45Speaker 2: it better than most people because I think of his
- 7:47Speaker 2: experience as a businessman in New York. He realizes that look,
- 7:52Speaker 2: whether it's this mafia crime family, that mafia crime family,
- 7:56Speaker 2: the Ukrainians, whomever, waste management people, concrete people, electrical people,
- 8:03Speaker 2: inspectors that are on the take, you name it, Senators,
- 8:07Speaker 2: congress people, all sorts of people. I got to donate
- 8:09Speaker 2: to their campaigns. He knows he's got to get along
- 8:12Speaker 2: with everybody why to get his projects done. He's not
- 8:16Speaker 2: here to make enemies. He's here to make friends. So
- 8:19Speaker 2: when President Trump says things like, look, is it a
- 8:21Speaker 2: bad thing to get along? Is it a bad thing?
- 8:23Speaker 2: I love that. We need more of that in today's politics.
- 8:28Speaker 2: The problem is they attack him so much, and he's
- 8:30Speaker 2: so good at fighting back and coming up with these
- 8:33Speaker 2: great nicknames that cut right through the noise and these
- 8:36Speaker 2: catchphrases say you're fake news. Right. He's so good at
- 8:40Speaker 2: that that when he pushes back, he pushes back right.
- 8:44Speaker 2: They make a fifteen five six seven minute video he
- 8:47Speaker 2: comes back with saying one tweet, right, one truth social
- 8:50Speaker 2: post and his truth says punishable by death. That sedition
- 8:56Speaker 2: punishable by death. I mean, it's brilliant. Right. He cuts
- 8:59Speaker 2: through the noise each and every time. He's so scynct.
- 9:02Speaker 2: So we look at this and we say, what was
- 9:08Speaker 2: Trump's mo today? Why did he take the meeting to
- 9:11Speaker 2: elevate this guy as a rock star. I think it's
- 9:13Speaker 2: pretty clear he's already a rock star, right, whether you
- 9:16Speaker 2: like him or not. He won by great numbers. He
- 9:18Speaker 2: beat every single person on the ballot. Right, people that
- 9:21Speaker 2: are trying to say that Curtis Leeva did this, Curtis
- 9:23Speaker 2: Curtis lee was a patriot. In my opinion, he did
- 9:26Speaker 2: the right thing. And you could put all the votes,
- 9:30Speaker 2: even the ones that did writings, there wasn't enough votes
- 9:33Speaker 2: cast against mam donni for him to lose. That's the
- 9:37Speaker 2: bottom line. Doesn't matter. You put Cuomo together with Sliva,
- 9:41Speaker 2: with Eric Adams with writings. Still the math doesn't add up.
- 9:45Speaker 2: Mam Donnie still wits based on the numbers that we saw.
- 9:49Speaker 2: So what's Trump gonna do? He's already seen what this
- 9:53Speaker 2: guy does. This guy blows his load. I'm gonna be
- 9:56Speaker 2: Donald Trump's worst nightmare. Or Trump cannot take the high
- 10:00Speaker 2: road right publicly. He knows this guy's coming here to
- 10:02Speaker 2: yell at me. But this guy wants to cut a deal.
- 10:04Speaker 2: All right, Let's cut a deal. And what does Trump
- 10:06Speaker 2: do meet when I'm privately first and tell him, look,
- 10:09Speaker 2: you've already seen what went down here. You've seen Zelenski
- 10:12Speaker 2: come in here, uh and get embarrassed and walk right
- 10:17Speaker 2: out with meetings cut short. For all intent and purpose,
- 10:22Speaker 2: I'd say we've seen Zelenski get bounced out of the
- 10:25Speaker 2: White House. So if we've seen all of that, and
- 10:30Speaker 2: Mamdanni is a stute and has seen that too, then
- 10:34Speaker 2: it behooves Mamdani to try and be friend Trump. And
- 10:39Speaker 2: Trump uses this not as president. This is Trump as Trump.
- 10:44Speaker 2: This is Trump as the author of the art of
- 10:46Speaker 2: the deal. This is Trump as the businessman he is.
- 10:49Speaker 2: He uses this he ingratiates himself with people because he
- 10:53Speaker 2: knows that they like something about the Trump brand or
- 10:57Speaker 2: the power that he possesses, in this case, the Oval
- 11:00Speaker 2: Office and his command of the Federal Executive Branch resources
- 11:06Speaker 2: that New York needs. So Mom, Donnie says, look, I'm
- 11:09Speaker 2: going to satisfy the base when I you know, my
- 11:11Speaker 2: acceptance speech and all that, I'm gonna beat up Trump,
- 11:14Speaker 2: And in real life I'm gonna say, Trump, Donnie baby,
- 11:17Speaker 2: come on, let's do lunch. Type your people call my people,
- 11:20Speaker 2: let's make a deal and guess who likes making deals Trump?
- 11:25Speaker 2: So how do you think it goes down? Mo'm donnie
- 11:28Speaker 2: going understand affordability, affordability, affordability, affordability, affordability. And then and
- 11:34Speaker 2: then you have Trumpito saying I think we should make
- 11:40Speaker 2: things more affordable, right, isn't nobody said yesterday, the day before,
- 11:43Speaker 2: we got to make America more affordable again. So it
- 11:47Speaker 2: seems like they have something in common there. They're both
- 11:50Speaker 2: New Yorkers. Seems like they have something in common there too.
- 11:53Speaker 2: Now listen, this is not a glowing endorsement of mo'm donnie.
- 11:57Speaker 2: This is me saying what is Trump doing?
- 12:00Speaker 1: Right?
- 12:00Speaker 2: And I think what Trump is doing is saying, look,
- 12:02Speaker 2: I don't need another enemy. I've got plenty. Do you
- 12:05Speaker 2: do you want an enemy in this White House? Do
- 12:07Speaker 2: you want an enemy in me? Or do you want
- 12:10Speaker 2: to maybe stop with all of your song and dance
- 12:12Speaker 2: or guess what, sing your song and dance all you want,
- 12:15Speaker 2: But just know this is gonna go down like this.
- 12:18Speaker 2: You can call me a fascist, you can call me
- 12:20Speaker 2: whatever you want, but here's how it goes down. You're
- 12:23Speaker 2: gonna have more cops on the street. We're gonna have
- 12:26Speaker 2: these numbers down. Well, I don't know, mister President. All right,
- 12:29Speaker 2: I do know this. You can keep shouting at Tom
- 12:31Speaker 2: Holman the way you did, because you're gonna be seing
- 12:33Speaker 2: a lot of him. You're gonna see a lot of people.
- 12:35Speaker 2: I'm gonna have I'm gonna have ice there and forcing
- 12:38Speaker 2: like you don't know. I'm gonna have the Federal Protective
- 12:41Speaker 2: Service on the streets outside every courthouse, at every single
- 12:44Speaker 2: federal building, Federal Applausas down the block from City Hall.
- 12:47Speaker 2: You watch, I'll be there. We'll be there all the time.
- 12:49Speaker 2: We will cost so much gridlock. Ahead, call my bluff,
- 12:54Speaker 2: right but in his Trump voice, go ahead, call my
- 12:57Speaker 2: bluffs or on my little Cami, my little COMI mayor
- 13:01Speaker 2: so I think President Trump basically said, look, this can
- 13:05Speaker 2: go poorly or it can go well. New York has
- 13:08Speaker 2: to improve, bottom line. Are you going to do it?
- 13:11Speaker 2: And I think mom Donnie turns around and says, well,
- 13:13Speaker 2: given that my bridge to nowhere project, or as he
- 13:16Speaker 2: would phrase it, millionaire, billionaire and taxpayer funded free quote unquote,
- 13:25Speaker 2: free air quotes, free subways isn't going to be a thing,
- 13:30Speaker 2: then maybe he can say, look me, personally, I'm a
- 13:33Speaker 2: socialist and I think you're a fascist. But I think
- 13:36Speaker 2: we can work together if we do things that you know,
- 13:38Speaker 2: if we can find those common areas. And this is
- 13:42Speaker 2: how politics works, and this is why maybe some of
- 13:48Speaker 2: you criticize me for it, but I've always felt this
- 13:51Speaker 2: is the only way that politics can work. You're always
- 13:54Speaker 2: going to have somebody that opposes to you, and you
- 13:56Speaker 2: can't just say I'm not going to make a deal
- 13:58Speaker 2: with you. You can sometimes right like President Trump. He
- 14:02Speaker 2: didn't bend at all on that government shutdown. Guess what,
- 14:05Speaker 2: he didn't blink. He stood his ground. The right thing happened.
- 14:11Speaker 2: But it's your experience, it's your ability to discern and
- 14:15Speaker 2: to be judicious that allows you to make these right decisions.
- 14:19Speaker 2: And then it's up to you whether you want to
- 14:22Speaker 2: kill with kindness or kill with a nuke. I think
- 14:26Speaker 2: Trump decided he wanted to kill with kindness. Listen to this,
- 14:30Speaker 2: mister President Republican.
- 14:31Speaker 3: At least Dephonic has campaigned multiple times by callings or
- 14:34Speaker 3: Amumdania Jahadist. Do you think you're standing next to a
- 14:36Speaker 3: Jahadis right now in the Oval Opera?
- 14:38Speaker 1: No? I know, but she's out there campaigning, and you know,
- 14:44Speaker 1: you say things sometimes in a campaign. She's a very
- 14:47Speaker 1: capable person, but you really have to ask her about that.
- 14:52Speaker 1: But I don't particularly I think I met with a
- 14:54Speaker 1: very I met with a man who's a very rational person.
- 14:58Speaker 1: I met with a man who wants.
- 14:59Speaker 2: To hold on a second. He's talking about Zora Mamdani.
- 15:03Speaker 2: He's standing right next to him, and he said, I
- 15:06Speaker 2: met with a man that's a very rational person. This
- 15:09Speaker 2: is the same rational person that was yelling at the
- 15:11Speaker 2: top of his lungs at Tom Homan, same rational person
- 15:15Speaker 2: that is called Trump a fascist, same rational person that
- 15:19Speaker 2: says he wants to arrest bebing At in Yahoo. So
- 15:22Speaker 2: what do you think happened in the first few minutes
- 15:24Speaker 2: of their conversation when they met, right, I say, probably
- 15:28Speaker 2: went something like this. Mamdani comes in and says, well,
- 15:30Speaker 2: mister President, thank you for the time. You know, I
- 15:33Speaker 2: really do appreciate it. And you know, all things considered,
- 15:36Speaker 2: as you know, having run for a president you know
- 15:39Speaker 2: multiple times, and having the experience you do on the
- 15:43Speaker 2: campaign trail that sometimes things get heated, sometimes things are said,
- 15:48Speaker 2: and I do want to say, outside of anything, I
- 15:52Speaker 2: respect your ability to win despite the odds. I had
- 15:55Speaker 2: you pegged for going to jail, and I'll be between
- 15:58Speaker 2: you and million the four walls. Listen. I thought that
- 16:02Speaker 2: what they did to you was a raw deal. I mean,
- 16:04Speaker 2: come on, this crime of falsifying documents wasn't even a
- 16:09Speaker 2: crime until they created it for you. Right now, I
- 16:11Speaker 2: think he gave him some area to say, oh, you know,
- 16:14Speaker 2: thank you, Zonon, my little commie. And you know, honestly,
- 16:17Speaker 2: you are a comedi, but you're a nice COMMI and
- 16:19Speaker 2: you know if you want to work with me, there's
- 16:21Speaker 2: none of that commy bs. I'm just telling you right now,
- 16:23Speaker 2: right And then they have this conversation and then eventually
- 16:26Speaker 2: Trump says, look, I have all the cards. You don't
- 16:29Speaker 2: have the cards. All you can do is bark and
- 16:32Speaker 2: fight for four years if I don't work with you,
- 16:36Speaker 2: and you're going to be fighting against me. And you
- 16:39Speaker 2: know the saying, if you're not able to ever go
- 16:42Speaker 2: on offense and you're spending all your time on defense,
- 16:46Speaker 2: you're not doing anything. You're not advancing if all you're
- 16:49Speaker 2: doing is fighting back. And Trump knows that firsthand. That
- 16:53Speaker 2: was his first term, right trying to advance forward yet
- 16:56Speaker 2: constantly having to fight back against the deep State. So
- 17:01Speaker 2: he gets to this place and now he's saying, Trump
- 17:03Speaker 2: makes a decision, what do I do?
- 17:05Speaker 3: Do?
- 17:06Speaker 2: I say, my little Kami, I told him, listen, if
- 17:08Speaker 2: you don't do what I say, what That leads right
- 17:10Speaker 2: into the whole fascistic stuff right O. He's holding it
- 17:15Speaker 2: over his heads. So what does Trump do? High Road?
- 17:18Speaker 2: I don't know. At least I fand it called the
- 17:20Speaker 2: guy at your hot It's not me. I think the
- 17:22Speaker 2: guy's rational. I met with somebody who wants what's the
- 17:25Speaker 2: best for New York play the tape.
- 17:27Speaker 1: Really wants to see New York be great again? And
- 17:29Speaker 1: I can say again because New York was great. You
- 17:33Speaker 1: know when I came down to Washington, initially the city
- 17:37Speaker 1: was so hot, it was doing great. We were having
- 17:41Speaker 1: some telltale signs and problems. We had a mayor that
- 17:44Speaker 1: was not doing a great job, but still it was
- 17:47Speaker 1: moving along. And it went bad. It really went, you know,
- 17:53Speaker 1: pretty bad, and he can. I think it's been at
- 17:56Speaker 1: lower points, but it went pretty bad. I think he
- 17:59Speaker 1: can bring it back.
- 18:00Speaker 2: Now.
- 18:00Speaker 1: The question is will we bring it back all the way?
- 18:02Speaker 1: Will he bring it back greater than ever before? Which
- 18:06Speaker 1: is I guarantee that's his wish. I think it wants
- 18:08Speaker 1: to make it greater than ever before. And if he can,
- 18:11Speaker 1: we'll be out there cheering. I'll be cheering for him. Okay,
- 18:14Speaker 1: thank you very much, everybody.
- 18:16Speaker 2: So President Trump cheering for Kami Mamdani. Right, Maybe this
- 18:19Speaker 2: is why he got involved in the race. Maybe they
- 18:21Speaker 2: had a deal ahead of time. Who knows, right, this
- 18:24Speaker 2: is politics. I wasn't privy to any of those deals.
- 18:26Speaker 2: You know where I stood on that race. I wanted
- 18:28Speaker 2: courteously with the person who I thought was best to
- 18:31Speaker 2: win that race, who I think would have worked very
- 18:32Speaker 2: well with President Trump. But from President Trump's perspective, if
- 18:35Speaker 2: I were in his shoes, if Mamdani has the gravitas
- 18:40Speaker 2: to popularity to win, but not the experience to govern well,
- 18:47Speaker 2: but the popularity and the energy to govern poorly, then
- 18:52Speaker 2: perhaps Trump can try to intervene, being an elder statesman
- 18:56Speaker 2: and saying, look, you could drive this thing off a cliff,
- 18:58Speaker 2: or you can't. And I think his view with Curtis
- 19:02Speaker 2: Sliwa might have been we haven't gotten along ever. I
- 19:06Speaker 2: don't know that we're going to get along better now.
- 19:09Speaker 2: And he made his choice, right. I think he thought
- 19:12Speaker 2: to himself. I'd probably do best with Andrew Cuomo if
- 19:15Speaker 2: I'm being frank, So you know, it is what it is.
- 19:19Speaker 2: I don't know his thought process. I haven't had this
- 19:21Speaker 2: conversation with the president. I'm just deducing what I see
- 19:24Speaker 2: based on the media reports. And one thing about Trump,
- 19:27Speaker 2: people say, oh, he lied, he lied, he lied. Trump
- 19:29Speaker 2: typically tells you the truth every single time, right, including
- 19:33Speaker 2: the things you don't want to hear, including the things
- 19:36Speaker 2: that hurt people's feelings. So again, my take on this
- 19:43Speaker 2: is that President Trump is trying to do what's right
- 19:46Speaker 2: for New York City. He's trying to amass some power.
- 19:50Speaker 2: Now in a Machiavellian way, What do you mean, Rich,
- 19:54Speaker 2: I don't mean that in a bad way. I mean
- 19:56Speaker 2: that in a good way. The enemy of my enemy
- 19:58Speaker 2: is my friend, right, Like from Machiavelli's book to the Prince.
- 20:03Speaker 2: So Mamdani while he's yelling at Trump, yelling at Trump,
- 20:08Speaker 2: yelling at Trump, who are his allies? Alexander Soros? AOC? Now,
- 20:17Speaker 2: if AOC is coming after Schumer, that means Mamdanni can
- 20:27Speaker 2: come after Schumer. And Mamdannie was just in a back
- 20:29Speaker 2: and forth with do I endorse the guy that's going
- 20:31Speaker 2: with Hakim Jeffries or not. And at first he did,
- 20:34Speaker 2: then he didn't, right. I think that's how that went,
- 20:36Speaker 2: you know, kind of calling off the dogs. So the
- 20:39Speaker 2: person that has the power here to run the primary
- 20:42Speaker 2: is Mamdani. He's the shot caller. I don't think Chuck
- 20:45Speaker 2: Schumer can say we've got a beautiful moderate candidate. We're
- 20:49Speaker 2: gonna run him. We're gonna run him against Mamdani. You're
- 20:51Speaker 2: gonna see because we've been seeing guys like Chuck Schumer
- 20:54Speaker 2: lose when they run against the Democrat Socialists of America,
- 20:58Speaker 2: when they run against the Burns, the Elizabeth Warrens, the
- 21:01Speaker 2: AOC all out crazy. So what happens? So Trump now
- 21:05Speaker 2: gives a what I would say is a tacit endorsement.
- 21:09Speaker 2: Listen to this.
- 21:10Speaker 1: Would you feel comfortable living in New York City under
- 21:13Speaker 1: a MANDI? Yeah, I would, wrote, especially after the meeting. Absolutely,
- 21:18Speaker 1: what makes you comfortable? We agree on a lot more
- 21:21Speaker 1: than I would have thought. I think he's I want
- 21:25Speaker 1: him to do a great job, and we'll help him
- 21:27Speaker 1: do a great job. You know, he may have different views,
- 21:30Speaker 1: but in many ways. You know, we were discussing when
- 21:33Speaker 1: Bernie Sanders was out of the race. I picked up
- 21:35Speaker 1: a lot of his votes, and people had no idea
- 21:38Speaker 1: because he was strong on not getting ripped off in
- 21:40Speaker 1: trade and lots of the things that I've practiced and
- 21:42Speaker 1: have been very successful on tariffs, a lot of things
- 21:47Speaker 1: Bernie Sanders and I agreed on much more than people thought,
- 21:50Speaker 1: and when he was put out of the race, I
- 21:54Speaker 1: think quite unfairly. If you want another truth, many of
- 21:58Speaker 1: the Bernie Sanders voters voted for me, and I felt
- 22:02Speaker 1: very comfortable, frankly, and seeing that and saying that, and
- 22:04Speaker 1: you know, it just turned out to be a statistical truth.
- 22:09Speaker 1: But no, I feel very comfortable.
- 22:12Speaker 2: I would be.
- 22:12Speaker 1: I would feel very very comfortable being in New York,
- 22:15Speaker 1: and I think much more so after the meeting.
- 22:17Speaker 2: There you go, Where does all that come from? Well,
- 22:19Speaker 2: a number of things. Number one is Trump and nine
- 22:21Speaker 2: to five working stiff. He's definitely more than nine to five, right.
- 22:25Speaker 2: He's like four in the morning to four in the
- 22:27Speaker 2: morning kind of guy. Right, guys, twenty four hours a day,
- 22:30Speaker 2: maniac work ethic. God bless him. He also has serious
- 22:35Speaker 2: real estate holdings in New York City. Like me, He's
- 22:37Speaker 2: a New Yorker born in New York City. I think
- 22:39Speaker 2: you have a conversation with somebody and you say, listen.
- 22:42Speaker 2: Part of life is if you put your guard down
- 22:45Speaker 2: for a second and really have that conversation, which I
- 22:48Speaker 2: believe Trump does in his interactions with people. At least
- 22:52Speaker 2: when I've met with him personally, he was extraordinarily engaged
- 22:57Speaker 2: in the conversation we were having. I think Charlie Kirk
- 23:01Speaker 2: was also the same way. I think you have this
- 23:05Speaker 2: conversation between zoron Mumdani, who goes in there and has
- 23:09Speaker 2: enough sense to realize, I'm not going to get Trump
- 23:12Speaker 2: to tattoo a hammer and a sickle on his bicep,
- 23:15Speaker 2: but I might just get him to not kick me
- 23:18Speaker 2: out and try to deport me.
- 23:21Speaker 3: Right.
- 23:21Speaker 2: So each of them has an agenda going into this meeting,
- 23:25Speaker 2: and now it's the political calculus. What do we do?
- 23:29Speaker 2: How do we figure things out? So for Trump, a
- 23:32Speaker 2: friend in Mamdani goes one of two ways. Either A,
- 23:37Speaker 2: I can now I have I have the ammunition. I
- 23:40Speaker 2: now have an alliance with the enemy of some Democrats,
- 23:46Speaker 2: many who have Schumer and others like him over a
- 23:51Speaker 2: barrel Number one. Number two, I've got him over a
- 23:57Speaker 2: barrel because he needs funding and I can and ruin
- 24:00Speaker 2: his trajectory here. So either he can play ball on
- 24:05Speaker 2: the agenda that I have for New York, which is
- 24:07Speaker 2: you're gonna work with ice. You could yell about it,
- 24:10Speaker 2: but you're gonna do it. You're going to make sure
- 24:13Speaker 2: that you know there's not people getting mugged in front
- 24:16Speaker 2: of Trump Tower because New York City's great, we want
- 24:19Speaker 2: it to be great again. And guess what, maybe just
- 24:22Speaker 2: maybe you get re elected if you play my game
- 24:27Speaker 2: or we make you look so bad for the whole
- 24:30Speaker 2: time that you're in office that you become the next
- 24:33Speaker 2: Derek Adams, a one term losing mayor. And I think
- 24:38Speaker 2: that is again, what politics looks like. I'm not saying
- 24:42Speaker 2: it's what I like. I'm not saying it's what should
- 24:44Speaker 2: be done. I'm saying it's what I've learned in the
- 24:46Speaker 2: years of having worked in government and being around politics,
- 24:49Speaker 2: and I've seen it some parts of the country. I
- 24:52Speaker 2: think Democrats don't even talk to Republicans in places like
- 24:55Speaker 2: New York, places like New Jersey, where I think everybody
- 24:57Speaker 2: here's a rhino. That's not the case. It's just that
- 25:01Speaker 2: you're outnumbered so you have to learn how to play ball,
- 25:05Speaker 2: and that's part of this game too, learning how to
- 25:08Speaker 2: play ball, learning how to get along, learning how to compromise,
- 25:11Speaker 2: learning the art of the deal. So that's my thought
- 25:15Speaker 2: on that, and well, you know, we'll chime back in
- 25:17Speaker 2: on that as we go through the evening. But what
- 25:21Speaker 2: do you think was this a machiavellian move with Mamdanie
- 25:25Speaker 2: visiting El Trumpito? Is this, like they say, four dimensional chess?
- 25:31Speaker 2: Or is it a you know, Trump just being gracious
- 25:33Speaker 2: and maybe he's getting duped. I tend to not think
- 25:36Speaker 2: that's the case, but either way, I want to hear
- 25:39Speaker 2: your thoughts. Hit me up at Rich valdesk on all
- 25:42Speaker 2: of the social media and straight ahead Marjorie Taylor Green.
- 25:47Speaker 2: She says loyalty should have been a two way street
- 25:50Speaker 2: with President Trump. Instead it was only a one way street.
- 25:54Speaker 2: Their battle ending with her saying no mas more after.
- 25:58Speaker 1: This, this is a Maria.
- 26:02Speaker 2: This is a Maria.
- 26:03Speaker 1: He's brown, he's bald, and he's.
- 26:06Speaker 2: Breaking it down. Oh he's still had someome what's his name,
- 26:09Speaker 2: Rich Beldaz. All right, he goes, welcome back and we
- 26:14Speaker 2: can take to the conversation. This Friday evening with Marjorie
- 26:19Speaker 2: Taylor Green, Representative Green announcing in a very lengthy video
- 26:26Speaker 2: released to Twitter and other social media that she is
- 26:29Speaker 2: resigning her position effective January fifth, twenty twenty. So I
- 26:35Speaker 2: guess at the end of this current term before the
- 26:37Speaker 2: next Congress gets sworn in. And she explained a lot
- 26:41Speaker 2: of things. I can't play the entire eleven minute video,
- 26:45Speaker 2: but I can give you a couple of minutes of it.
- 26:47Speaker 2: Listen to this.
- 26:48Speaker 3: Standing up for American women who were raped at fourteen
- 26:53Speaker 3: years old, trafficked and used by rich, powerful men should
- 26:56Speaker 3: not result in me being called a trader, threatened by
- 27:00Speaker 3: the President of the United States, whom I fought for.
- 27:04Speaker 2: Wow, shots fired. She's not playing games. She also goes
- 27:08Speaker 2: on to say there is no plan to save the world.
- 27:10Speaker 2: There is no four dimensional chess listens it is.
- 27:15Speaker 3: However, while yes hurtful, my heart remains filled with joy,
- 27:20Speaker 3: My life is filled with happiness, and my true convictions
- 27:23Speaker 3: remain unchanged because my self worth is not defined by
- 27:27Speaker 3: a man, but instead by God, who created everything in existence.
- 27:32Speaker 3: You see, I have never valued power, titles, or attention.
- 27:36Speaker 3: In spite of all the wrong assumptions about me. I
- 27:39Speaker 3: do not cling to those things because they are meaningless
- 27:43Speaker 3: and empty traps that hold too many people in Washington.
- 27:47Speaker 3: I believe in term limits and do not think Congress
- 27:50Speaker 3: should be a lifelong career or an assisted living facility.
- 27:54Speaker 3: My only goal and desire has ever been to hold
- 27:57Speaker 3: the Republican Party accountable for the prom us as it
- 28:00Speaker 3: makes to the American people and put America first.
- 28:04Speaker 2: Let me tell you that line about term limits, I'm clapping.
- 28:09Speaker 2: I'm giving a standing ovation for that one. Go ahead.
- 28:12Speaker 3: And I have fought against Democrats damaging policies like the
- 28:15Speaker 3: Green New Deal, wide open, deadly unsafe border policies, and
- 28:19Speaker 3: the trans agenda on children and against women. With that
- 28:24Speaker 3: has brought years of non stop, never ending personal attacks,
- 28:28Speaker 3: death threats, law fair, ridiculous slander, and lies about me
- 28:33Speaker 3: that most people could never withstand even for a single day.
- 28:37Speaker 3: It has been unfair and wrong not only to me,
- 28:40Speaker 3: but especially to my family, but it's been wrong to
- 28:43Speaker 3: my district as well. I have too much self respect
- 28:47Speaker 3: and dignity. I love my family way too much, and
- 28:51Speaker 3: I do not want my sweet district to have to
- 28:54Speaker 3: endure a hurtful and hateful primary against me. By the
- 28:57Speaker 3: president that we all thought for only to fight and
- 29:00Speaker 3: win my election, while Republicans will likely lose the midterms
- 29:05Speaker 3: and in turn be expected to defend the President against
- 29:09Speaker 3: impeachment after he hatefully dumped tens of millions of dollars
- 29:13Speaker 3: against me and tried to destroy me. It's all so
- 29:17Speaker 3: absurd and completely unseerious. I refuse to be a battered
- 29:21Speaker 3: wife hoping it all goes away and gets better. If
- 29:24Speaker 3: I am cast aside by the President and the MAGA
- 29:27Speaker 3: political machine and replaced by Neo Cohn's big pharma, big tech,
- 29:32Speaker 3: military industrial war complex, foreign leaders, and the elite donor
- 29:37Speaker 3: class that can never ever relate to real Americans, then
- 29:41Speaker 3: many common Americans have been cast aside and replaced as well.
- 29:46Speaker 3: There is no plan to save the world or a
- 29:49Speaker 3: four D chess game being played. When common American people
- 29:54Speaker 3: realize and understand that the political industrial complex of both
- 29:58Speaker 3: parties is ripping this country apart, that not one elected
- 30:02Speaker 3: leader like me is able to stop Washington's machine from
- 30:06Speaker 3: gradually destroying our country, and instead the reality is that
- 30:10Speaker 3: they common Americans, the people, possess the real power over Washington.
- 30:16Speaker 3: Then I'll be here by their side to rebuild it.
- 30:20Speaker 2: That's Marjorie Taylor Green and again announcing that she's retiring
- 30:25Speaker 2: from Congress. Again, she said, regular Americans, there is no
- 30:31Speaker 2: plan to save the world. There is no four D
- 30:35Speaker 2: chess game. Is she talking to the QAnon people? I
- 30:40Speaker 2: want to know. I'm just asking for a friend. She's
- 30:42Speaker 2: got a couple more seconds here, go ahead, let her rip.
- 30:46Speaker 3: Until then, I'm going back to the people that I love.
- 30:49Speaker 3: To live my life to the fullest as I always have,
- 30:54Speaker 3: and I look forward to a new path ahead. I'll
- 30:57Speaker 3: be resigning from office, with my last being January fifth,
- 31:01Speaker 3: twenty twenty six, and I look forward to seeing many
- 31:05Speaker 3: of you again sometime in the future. May God bless
- 31:08Speaker 3: you all, and may God bless America.
- 31:12Speaker 2: Well amen, I'm happy for her if this is good
- 31:16Speaker 2: for her. I've only met her one time, very very briefly.
- 31:19Speaker 2: She was in a either in the suite I was
- 31:22Speaker 2: in at the Madison Square Garden rally or the sweet
- 31:24Speaker 2: next to us, and honestly, very nice, very nice, very
- 31:28Speaker 2: very chill, very calm person. I guess you know those
- 31:31Speaker 2: moments where she gets agitated and she is, you know,
- 31:35Speaker 2: yelling at Jasmine Crockett about her eyelashes, which I think
- 31:38Speaker 2: look nice on Jasmine Crockett, by the way, you know,
- 31:42Speaker 2: you get that one side of her, But there's two
- 31:45Speaker 2: sides to everybody, right, And you also see President Trump
- 31:48Speaker 2: fighting back against the Median in real life. I think
- 31:50Speaker 2: he's a charming guy. She's a nice person. So anyway,
- 31:54Speaker 2: I want to know, this is going to be reported,
- 31:57Speaker 2: of course, over the weekend and into Monday as Maga
- 32:00Speaker 2: civil war Trump, you know, out for blood, blah blah blah.
- 32:05Speaker 2: But again, this is yet another casualty of war in politics.
- 32:09Speaker 2: That's just how it works in the media, in politics,
- 32:16Speaker 2: in sales, in so much of any industry that's based
- 32:20Speaker 2: on in meritocracy, you're only as good as your last day. Right,
- 32:24Speaker 2: there's change lives there. The sharks are always there, and
- 32:29Speaker 2: that goes both ways. It's not like, you know, you're
- 32:31Speaker 2: always the guppy that's about to get swallowed by the
- 32:33Speaker 2: big fish. Sometimes you're the guppy that says, I'm not
- 32:36Speaker 2: interested in swimming in this pond anymore. Guess what I
- 32:40Speaker 2: can go over here, do a little lot less swimming
- 32:42Speaker 2: and eat more. Right, Sometimes there's better opportunities than other places.
- 32:46Speaker 2: Sometimes the grasses and greener. These are the risks get
- 32:49Speaker 2: take in life, right, These are the political calculations that
- 32:51Speaker 2: people make. But make no mistake, this is not a tyranny. Right.
- 32:58Speaker 2: People have a choice to run for office, they have
- 33:00Speaker 2: a choice to get out of public life. They have
- 33:03Speaker 2: a choice to make a different move. We all make
- 33:06Speaker 2: those choices. So I say, God, speak to you, Marjorie
- 33:11Speaker 2: Taylor Green, good luck. I applaud your decision to do
- 33:15Speaker 2: what you think is right with your life, and say
- 33:19Speaker 2: what I am. Right, We continue because what else are
- 33:22Speaker 2: we going to do. We can't sit here and beat
- 33:23Speaker 2: ourselves up over this. And I think, honestly it was
- 33:27Speaker 2: it was a fair thing to do. She realizes she's
- 33:29Speaker 2: a single person, that how can she how can she continue? Right,
- 33:36Speaker 2: she's part of the mega movement, the mega people may
- 33:40Speaker 2: or may not re elect her. She thinks she could win.
- 33:44Speaker 2: She probably could, right, she knows her district. But what
- 33:48Speaker 2: happens there, It creates this contention. It's more fodder, it's
- 33:51Speaker 2: more distraction for the media and for her. And if
- 33:55Speaker 2: she's sincere when she says she doesn't care about the accolades,
- 33:59Speaker 2: the power and the attention, and I believe her. I
- 34:01Speaker 2: take her out her word on that. I think she's
- 34:03Speaker 2: had more more of that than anybody would want, quite frankly, right,
- 34:07Speaker 2: And you look at guys like Kanye West justin Bieber.
- 34:10Speaker 2: People think people get into certain businesses because they love
- 34:13Speaker 2: the adulation, they love the adoration. But no, sometimes people
- 34:19Speaker 2: think they like that and then they find it to
- 34:21Speaker 2: be incredibly overwhelming. It's no longer what it once was,
- 34:25Speaker 2: and they're not interested. That's not everybody. Some people still
- 34:28Speaker 2: thrive on that, I guess, But this is why you
- 34:31Speaker 2: have so many celebrities that wear dark glasses and a
- 34:33Speaker 2: baseball cap and they're like using the back door in
- 34:35Speaker 2: places because they don't want to be bothered. They just
- 34:38Speaker 2: want to work and that's it. So anyway, again, I'm
- 34:41Speaker 2: getting off the deep end here, but Marjorie Taylor Green says,
- 34:47Speaker 2: I'm walking away. I recently had to walk away myself.
- 34:50Speaker 2: But people make decisions in life, and sometimes it's not
- 34:53Speaker 2: always the way you want it to be, right, just
- 34:57Speaker 2: sometimes what you kind of gotta do. So I unders
- 35:00Speaker 2: I understand where she's at, and I really do wish
- 35:03Speaker 2: her God's speed because you know, she fought for a
- 35:07Speaker 2: lot of good things and She's right when she says
- 35:09Speaker 2: she had a very conservative record a couple of issues
- 35:12Speaker 2: where she was going the other way, and she was
- 35:14Speaker 2: very critical of net Yahoo and moreover, of foreign policy
- 35:17Speaker 2: in general. And this is an area where she and
- 35:20Speaker 2: I would disagree because I think the United States is
- 35:24Speaker 2: the major player in foreign policy globally. That's just how
- 35:29Speaker 2: it works. And you could say, but it shouldn't work
- 35:32Speaker 2: that way, right, this is what Thanksgiving dinner sounds like
- 35:35Speaker 2: with my brothers and I. You know, we start talking
- 35:38Speaker 2: about the richie. It shouldn't be that way, And I say,
- 35:40Speaker 2: but that's exactly Joe, why it is the way it is? Right?
- 35:44Speaker 2: That is again, it's power. The United States maintains our power.
- 35:48Speaker 2: We are the world's reserve currency. You've got bricks chopping
- 35:51Speaker 2: at the bit to come and take us out. How
- 35:53Speaker 2: do we maintain our competitive edge? But for maintaining our
- 35:57Speaker 2: competitive edge the United States dollar, which is backed by
- 36:02Speaker 2: the full faith and credit of the United States military
- 36:06Speaker 2: and every last bomb and gun that we have, because
- 36:08Speaker 2: we make sure we do what we got to do.
- 36:10Speaker 2: That is what protects our dollar, That is what protects
- 36:13Speaker 2: our everything. If we didn't have the military, might that
- 36:16Speaker 2: we do. They would have knocked us off a long
- 36:18Speaker 2: time ago in more ways than one. But we have that.
- 36:22Speaker 2: We have money, so we've invested in infrastructure, in particular education.
- 36:26Speaker 2: We still lead the way we higher ed. I don't
- 36:28Speaker 2: know for how long, but we do. So we got
- 36:32Speaker 2: to take advantage of the places we have power. So again,
- 36:34Speaker 2: this is part of why I get up, I stand
- 36:36Speaker 2: on two feet night slow clap for Donald Trump elo
- 36:40Speaker 2: Why because this is important. Making the United States the
- 36:44Speaker 2: ai capital of the world is a huge deal Making
- 36:49Speaker 2: the United States the crypto capital of the world is
- 36:52Speaker 2: a huge deal making Sure the United States is not
- 36:56Speaker 2: looking like Europe and so many other parts of this
- 36:58Speaker 2: world that are era seeing their own national identity. And
- 37:03Speaker 2: I don't mean whiteness. I'm not white, but I am
- 37:07Speaker 2: saying Americanists right, Americanism, the american ness that we all share, patriotism,
- 37:17Speaker 2: these things should never be erased. I've seen people be
- 37:22Speaker 2: critical of me for loving America. I've seen people be
- 37:25Speaker 2: critical of people that come to America from other countries
- 37:29Speaker 2: and you know, after working for ten years, they finally
- 37:32Speaker 2: go they apply for citizenship and they become a citizen.
- 37:35Speaker 2: And then sometimes instead of people saying, hey, congratulations. Some
- 37:38Speaker 2: people come and hate on them. Why, Well, the reason
- 37:42Speaker 2: people do that is because they they hate America and
- 37:45Speaker 2: they want everybody else to hate America. But the reality
- 37:49Speaker 2: is that's not always going to be the case. There
- 37:52Speaker 2: are people that come from other countries that love this country.
- 37:55Speaker 2: There's a guy on social media. It's very funny. He's
- 37:57Speaker 2: got a very thick Spanish accent, and he's funny about
- 38:01Speaker 2: it too. And he goes in there and I talked
- 38:03Speaker 2: to it. I think I even played it in the past.
- 38:06Speaker 2: But he comes into a store and he says, he's
- 38:09Speaker 2: too much money. When you go to this store, you inflation.
- 38:12Speaker 2: He's getting in your pocket. Let me tell you what
- 38:14Speaker 2: you gotta do. There's a place we call it dollar three.
- 38:18Speaker 2: Dollar three. You go with a dollar twenty five. At
- 38:21Speaker 2: dollar twenty five, you get this ant a twenty five,
- 38:23Speaker 2: you get eggs, a dolla twenty five, you buy bread.
- 38:26Speaker 2: And it's so funny. And I just thought to myself,
- 38:30Speaker 2: it's great. And this guy is talking about the American dream.
- 38:34Speaker 2: He's saying and then he says, he says, you don't
- 38:37Speaker 2: need more food stamps, you don't need snap or you
- 38:39Speaker 2: need you need a job I love. That right reminded
- 38:43Speaker 2: me of the things my dad taught me growing up
- 38:46Speaker 2: and didn't sound too differently from that guy. These are
- 38:49Speaker 2: things that we all share, at least we used to.
- 38:52Speaker 2: Now today we have a new generation that's very easily
- 38:55Speaker 2: offended by a lot of people, and we have a
- 39:00Speaker 2: situation where people are willing to to just give up
- 39:04Speaker 2: on things and they don't want to work. And if
- 39:06Speaker 2: it's not for this, I don't want to do it.
- 39:08Speaker 2: And listen, you're allowed to know your worth. You're allowed
- 39:12Speaker 2: to say, hey, look, I've worked a long time in
- 39:14Speaker 2: this or at this, and I need this or I
- 39:16Speaker 2: need this type of flexibility here. But not when you're
- 39:21Speaker 2: out of school and looking for your first gig. This
- 39:24Speaker 2: is grind time, you know. I switched careers in my
- 39:27Speaker 2: thirties to get into radio, and guess what it was
- 39:31Speaker 2: grind time for me. I had to do a lot
- 39:33Speaker 2: of grinding. I have literally slept on the floor in
- 39:36Speaker 2: a studio that I knew had mice. I've slept on
- 39:41Speaker 2: the couch, the leather couch in a New York City
- 39:44Speaker 2: studio and guess what the heat goes off in those
- 39:46Speaker 2: buildings at night? It was freezing in there, but I
- 39:50Speaker 2: was doing a morning show. Those start at four AM,
- 39:54Speaker 2: and I had just finished a show that ended at
- 39:56Speaker 2: one am. So you do the math three hours before
- 40:00Speaker 2: I had to do it again. I need to sleep
- 40:02Speaker 2: for those three hours. There's no time to go home.
- 40:05Speaker 2: Point is, that's the type of grind you got to
- 40:07Speaker 2: put in when you want to make it in an industry.
- 40:10Speaker 2: And I've got to say, in less than a decade
- 40:12Speaker 2: I now spent it's my eighth year going into my
- 40:17Speaker 2: eighth year. I've spent four four and a half years
- 40:22Speaker 2: in local radio and the balance of that nearly half
- 40:26Speaker 2: of my career in national syndication until recently. And I'm
- 40:32Speaker 2: enormously proud of that, right, And these are just opportunities
- 40:35Speaker 2: that exist when you work hard and you find that
- 40:38Speaker 2: inner drive. So anyway, when it comes to that whole
- 40:42Speaker 2: gen Z stuff, I don't buy all that. Going to
- 40:45Speaker 2: pause right here, and I want to continue with the
- 40:49Speaker 2: reaction that the military has. Right, the military folks are
- 40:52Speaker 2: clapping back at El trumpito the attack on him right
- 40:59Speaker 2: from the Democrats in Congress. We played that one yesterday.
- 41:02Speaker 2: Well today you've got Republicans that have now weighed in
- 41:05Speaker 2: and they've got plenty to say, plenty to say, so
- 41:09Speaker 2: we're going to do that. Plus we're going to talk
- 41:11Speaker 2: about the colonizers I was talking about before, what happens
- 41:14Speaker 2: with that, what's the future look like. And we're also
- 41:19Speaker 2: going to talk about a guy named Jelly Roll. You
- 41:22Speaker 2: ever heard of him? Don't go anywhere. I'm Rich Valdez.
- 41:25Speaker 1: This is America.
- 41:27Speaker 2: This is America.
- 41:29Speaker 1: The forty fifth President Donald Trump thinks it's an honor
- 41:32Speaker 1: to speak with Rich Valdez.
- 41:34Speaker 2: Oh, very good, thanks, Rich. The honor is all yours.
- 41:42Speaker 2: Conservative talk with a dash of sofrito. Now here's Rich Valdez,
- 41:49Speaker 2: all right, and he goes, welcome back, thank you for
- 41:51Speaker 2: sticking with me. It's Rich Valdez. And of course at
- 41:54Speaker 2: Rich Valdesz on all of the social media urging you,
- 41:57Speaker 2: reminding you to please like, sub debscribe, Share this program
- 42:01Speaker 2: with your friends, send them a link texted to them,
- 42:03Speaker 2: send it to them on emails, share it on your
- 42:05Speaker 2: social media. Let somebody know about the program. If you're
- 42:09Speaker 2: enjoying it, please feel free to drop a review. Right,
- 42:13Speaker 2: there's a bunch of I think we have over five
- 42:15Speaker 2: hundred at this point. Excuse me, over five hundred five
- 42:20Speaker 2: star reviews or close to five star reviews, and I'm
- 42:24Speaker 2: enormously proud of that. So thank you each and every
- 42:27Speaker 2: one of you for that. So this is America with
- 42:30Speaker 2: rich Valdees, and we talk about everything that's going on
- 42:33Speaker 2: in America in the daytime, in the nighttime, anytime. And
- 42:38Speaker 2: part of what's going on right now is a bunch
- 42:40Speaker 2: of Republicans who have served their country and served their
- 42:43Speaker 2: country faithfully have decided I've had enough with these guys,
- 42:50Speaker 2: and we are going to make sure that we clap back.
- 42:54Speaker 2: So the military members of the House of Representatives that
- 43:00Speaker 2: are in the Republican Conference, they're not playing And I
- 43:06Speaker 2: thought this was just terrific. I want you to listen
- 43:09Speaker 2: to this.
- 43:10Speaker 3: We must be loyal to the oath that we swore
- 43:12Speaker 3: to stand firmly with America.
- 43:14Speaker 1: I'm Congressman Jim Bart, Representative John Maguire, Representative Keith sel,
- 43:18Speaker 1: Congressman Richmond Corn, Representative Barry Moore, represented Rick Crawford, August Fluer,
- 43:22Speaker 1: Congressman Andre Klain.
- 43:23Speaker 3: Congressman Tom Barrett, former Navy, former Vietnam Army combat.
- 43:26Speaker 1: Vetter, retired Colonel of the South Army National Guard.
- 43:29Speaker 2: Marine court pilot farmer, members of Alabama National Guard.
- 43:32Speaker 3: Former Army Special Forces green Beret, former US Army.
- 43:36Speaker 2: Soldier, an Air Force veterans, twenty eight year Navy officer,
- 43:38Speaker 2: United States Army.
- 43:39Speaker 1: After my active duty service, I joined the intelligence.
- 43:42Speaker 2: Community as a former Navy Seal veteran.
- 43:44Speaker 3: I want to speak directly to the members of the
- 43:46Speaker 3: military and our intelligence community.
- 43:49Speaker 1: I want to speak directly to the members of the
- 43:51Speaker 1: military and the intelligence community.
- 43:53Speaker 2: I want to speak directly to the members of the
- 43:55Speaker 2: military and the intelligence community. Like you. I raised my
- 43:59Speaker 2: right hand because I love this country. I believe in
- 44:01Speaker 2: something bigger than myself.
- 44:03Speaker 1: That freedom is not free.
- 44:04Speaker 2: Mouth was cleared uphold the Constitution, that it is powerful.
- 44:07Speaker 2: We all understand the importance of the chain of command.
- 44:10Speaker 2: Troops listen up.
- 44:11Speaker 1: Any service member who refuses a lawful order is subject
- 44:15Speaker 1: to court martial for violating the Uniform Code of Military Justice.
- 44:19Speaker 3: We study what's lawful and what's not lawful, and the
- 44:21Speaker 3: Democrats stunt insinuating that their illegal or unconstitutional orders.
- 44:26Speaker 2: It's done right, dangerous, it is corrosive. It is meant
- 44:29Speaker 2: to weaken our country and weaken the military to I
- 44:32Speaker 2: give in stand farm.
- 44:33Speaker 1: And your duty protect the American populace from an enemy
- 44:36Speaker 1: that would do us harm.
- 44:37Speaker 2: That's the right thing to do, and that is a
- 44:39Speaker 2: lawful order.
- 44:40Speaker 1: Your commitment to this nation is vital.
- 44:42Speaker 2: Stay focused on the mission.
- 44:44Speaker 3: Defend the constitution, and remember the oath we took to
- 44:47Speaker 3: defend America.
- 44:48Speaker 2: Remember the promise we may so help us. God, so
- 44:51Speaker 2: help me, God, so help me, Gun, so.
- 44:53Speaker 3: Help me God, troops, Thank you for serving.
- 44:57Speaker 2: Continue to prepare for the fight. Well. I thought that
- 44:59Speaker 2: was fan tastic that was released by the House Republicans
- 45:03Speaker 2: and great response. Excellent. We needed to hear that. People
- 45:06Speaker 2: needed to hear that. And again it wasn't don't give
- 45:09Speaker 2: up the ship. It was so help me God, that's
- 45:12Speaker 2: your oath. Stick to your oath. Thank God, right, Thank
- 45:15Speaker 2: god they pointed out the facts, and again I don't
- 45:17Speaker 2: think they always need to be pointed out. Quite frankly,
- 45:20Speaker 2: if there was any difference of opinion I would have
- 45:23Speaker 2: with the Democrats doing that, I would just say, let
- 45:25Speaker 2: them say what they want to say. I don't care,
- 45:28Speaker 2: because ultimately I think we have people that we trust
- 45:32Speaker 2: enough to arm and we trust enough for them to
- 45:36Speaker 2: put their own lives on the line in defense of
- 45:39Speaker 2: our nation, which I take as in defense of me,
- 45:43Speaker 2: in defense of my children, in defense of my ability
- 45:45Speaker 2: to go and talk smack. So if I can trust
- 45:49Speaker 2: you enough for that, I can trust you to decipher
- 45:51Speaker 2: whether the Democrats are going to fool you or not.
- 45:55Speaker 2: I trust you to make a good decision. I'm not
- 45:58Speaker 2: going to sit here. I've never believed that, you know,
- 46:00Speaker 2: I need to shut you up because I don't trust
- 46:03Speaker 2: you enough to make a good judgment for yourself. I
- 46:06Speaker 2: don't believe that that may be true in certain individual situations,
- 46:11Speaker 2: you know, with children and things like that. I mean,
- 46:13Speaker 2: I have the life experiences why they have parents and guardians. However,
- 46:17Speaker 2: I'm never gonna look you in the face and say,
- 46:19Speaker 2: oh no, no, no, no, turn off the MSNBC. It's
- 46:21Speaker 2: gonna I might say it jokingly, right and even half heartedly,
- 46:25Speaker 2: you know, yeah, turn off that MSNBC. It's gonna make
- 46:27Speaker 2: your mind mush okay, true, but it's not because I'm
- 46:30Speaker 2: afraid that if you hear Rachel Maddow you might start
- 46:33Speaker 2: hating America. That's a choice you're gonna have to make,
- 46:36Speaker 2: and I've got to trust you enough to say, hold on,
- 46:38Speaker 2: a second, what do you actually believe what too do
- 46:41Speaker 2: you stand on? Are you standing on ten toes or not?
- 46:45Speaker 2: If I could trust you to die for this country,
- 46:47Speaker 2: I gotta be able to trust you to hear some
- 46:49Speaker 2: bs from the Democrats. That's just how that goes, you know, Otherwise,
- 46:53Speaker 2: what are we gonna do? Next? Thing we do is
- 46:55Speaker 2: people that hate America, don't don't listen to the Iranians.
- 46:58Speaker 2: They hate us. No, no, no, no, no oh. They
- 47:00Speaker 2: are Islamists that run the Malas and around and all that.
- 47:06Speaker 2: Come on, let them all talk, let them all say
- 47:10Speaker 2: what they got to say. Go ahead, go for it,
- 47:12Speaker 2: knock yourself out. We have to win in the battle
- 47:17Speaker 2: of ideas, in the marketplace of ideas. That's where we
- 47:20Speaker 2: win this thing, winning the hearts and minds, right, because otherwise,
- 47:25Speaker 2: you know, look at the what's happening in Sudan, what's
- 47:31Speaker 2: happening in Syria, what's happening in Nigeria? Right? Christians being
- 47:36Speaker 2: slaughtered for their faith. Now, this is not just like,
- 47:42Speaker 2: oh my gosh, I can't believe you're a Christian. I'm
- 47:43Speaker 2: going to kill you. No, no, this is more like,
- 47:46Speaker 2: oh my gosh, these people are organized and there's hundreds
- 47:48Speaker 2: of them. Maybe thousands of them. This is a direct competition,
- 47:52Speaker 2: a direct threat to what we believe. And we will
- 47:55Speaker 2: not debate you. We will not prove to you that
- 47:58Speaker 2: our faith is better than your faith. Not live our
- 48:02Speaker 2: lives by example and allow the marketplace of religious ideas
- 48:07Speaker 2: to be the judge. Nope, We're just gonna eliminate you
- 48:10Speaker 2: so that we're the only game in town that's cheating.
- 48:13Speaker 2: And I'm not that guy. You don't like it, you
- 48:17Speaker 2: don't like it, all right. I sit here and I
- 48:19Speaker 2: do this show. I've been doing the show for a
- 48:20Speaker 2: long time, since twenty eighteen, and I could tell you this.
- 48:25Speaker 2: Some people start and listen and they like it. Some
- 48:27Speaker 2: people get halfway into God, this guy's blowing it out
- 48:30Speaker 2: the wrong end. Forget about them. Peace and the majority,
- 48:34Speaker 2: like ninety percent of you, I think, is the listen
- 48:36Speaker 2: rate on this program, listen to the whole thing. And
- 48:41Speaker 2: I'm grateful for it. But you gotta trust people. I'm
- 48:44Speaker 2: not gonna sit here and change what I'm saying because
- 48:46Speaker 2: I'm my God. They might not listen, they might turn
- 48:49Speaker 2: off the radio, they might stop their phone, they might
- 48:52Speaker 2: hit pause on their Alexa device. By the way, here,
- 48:56Speaker 2: let me mess you up a little bit, Alexa play
- 48:58Speaker 2: this is America, Rich VALDEZK. Now, we have those smart
- 49:02Speaker 2: speakers all over the country going crazy. Haha. I did
- 49:05Speaker 2: that once and on the radio, and I thought it
- 49:08Speaker 2: was pretty funny. So anyway, bottom line here, I'm not
- 49:12Speaker 2: afraid to get into the engagement here of what I
- 49:16Speaker 2: believe and what you believe and what's better. And we
- 49:20Speaker 2: have to engage in those ideas. We have to because
- 49:23Speaker 2: otherwise we're lost. Anyway, I'm gonna pause right here. I'm
- 49:28Speaker 2: gonna come back talk a little bit about jelly Roll,
- 49:30Speaker 2: a little bit about Machiavelli, and if there's time, I'll
- 49:33Speaker 2: get into some of your comments. You guys have a
- 49:35Speaker 2: lot of comments that have been putting out, a lot
- 49:37Speaker 2: of nice words, a lot of nice things. I promise you,
- 49:39Speaker 2: as soon as I'm able to make a formal announcement
- 49:41Speaker 2: in January, I will and I do want to thank
- 49:45Speaker 2: a lot of people for a lot of things. But
- 49:48Speaker 2: you know I've been sworn to secrecy. Hush hush, mush mush. Right,
- 49:51Speaker 2: That's just how the nature of certain contracts go. So anyway,
- 49:56Speaker 2: keep it locked right here. I am Rich Valdez. We're
- 49:58Speaker 2: coming right back. Don't go anywhere. This is America. This
- 50:05Speaker 2: is America, but englis or primal norodos bara rich Valdez.
- 50:15Speaker 1: S nos America.
- 50:17Speaker 2: Awara, all right, I mean he goes, that's still me,
- 50:22Speaker 2: is rich Valdez. There's that little bump that gets me
- 50:25Speaker 2: in trouble.
- 50:26Speaker 1: There, that little.
- 50:26Speaker 2: Return where people hey, hold that it's America, speak English.
- 50:30Speaker 2: What's going on here? Valdez? Listen. I like the ruffles
- 50:33Speaker 2: of feathers every now and again. You know, it's like
- 50:36Speaker 2: Dora the Explorer. You get to learn a little Spanish
- 50:38Speaker 2: along the way. Anyway, that voice, by the way, is
- 50:42Speaker 2: the amazing Chris Libertini, the old school in this game
- 50:48Speaker 2: of imaging and being a production director at the world
- 50:52Speaker 2: famous WABC in New York City. Great guy, great talent.
- 50:56Speaker 2: I want to talk about Machiavelli a little bit, right
- 50:59Speaker 2: because because we're looking at some of what's happening here,
- 51:02Speaker 2: much of it, I'm going to say Machiavellian. Machiavelli was
- 51:06Speaker 2: famous for coming up with this well several books. Right.
- 51:12Speaker 2: He was, you know, after he was a philosopher of sorts,
- 51:16Speaker 2: you know, a political theorist, political scientist. But he was
- 51:20Speaker 2: one of the first thinkers to kind of separate politics
- 51:22Speaker 2: from morality. And I'm not applauding this. I'm not a
- 51:25Speaker 2: fan of that. I think when when you hear me
- 51:28Speaker 2: talk about a biblical worldview or a christ centered worldview,
- 51:31Speaker 2: and I don't want to hold myself out to being holy.
- 51:33Speaker 2: I am the guy that wakes up and prays, gets
- 51:36Speaker 2: in my car and it all goes out the window,
- 51:38Speaker 2: and I'm just like, man, I wish I could run
- 51:40Speaker 2: these people off the road. And it was Jesus that said,
- 51:43Speaker 2: you know, as a so man thinketh in his heart
- 51:47Speaker 2: right how it goes? So is he?
- 51:48Speaker 3: So?
- 51:49Speaker 2: Yeah, I am guilty of sin, but I will tell
- 51:53Speaker 2: you that we should still be guided by morality. I'll
- 51:57Speaker 2: make another confession to you, not a confession, but I
- 51:59Speaker 2: wouldn't make this confession if it were true. If I
- 52:02Speaker 2: were severely addicted to I don't know, crystal meth, crack, cocaine,
- 52:07Speaker 2: some sort of controlled substance, I would not. I don't
- 52:11Speaker 2: believe in good mind turn around to my children or
- 52:15Speaker 2: yours and be like, oh, guys, you gotta try this.
- 52:17Speaker 2: It's so good. When I don't have it and it's
- 52:20Speaker 2: not running through my veins anymore, I get really itchy,
- 52:22Speaker 2: and I get really sick feeling, and I have these
- 52:24Speaker 2: horrible withdrawals. You're gonna love it. Try this, right, I've
- 52:28Speaker 2: never heard of that. I've never heard of anybody was like, oh,
- 52:31Speaker 2: you know, but when you go, hey, hey, have a
- 52:32Speaker 2: drink toast, let's do salute, And then they're like, ah, no,
- 52:35Speaker 2: I don't drink. And after, you know, twenty minutes hanging
- 52:39Speaker 2: out with this person, you find out, yeah, no, excit.
- 52:41Speaker 2: You know, one of my parents was an addictor one
- 52:43Speaker 2: of my parents was an alcoholic. That's never happening. You
- 52:46Speaker 2: never bumped into somebody like that. I have many times,
- 52:48Speaker 2: and I say kudos to them, right, they have their
- 52:53Speaker 2: heart and their head in the right place. So I
- 52:57Speaker 2: bring up that example to say, even people that are
- 53:00Speaker 2: in a bad spot, they know the difference between right
- 53:03Speaker 2: and wrong, and they're still guided by morality even in
- 53:06Speaker 2: the midst of their sin. But Machiavelli separated it. He
- 53:12Speaker 2: kind of secularized the leadership function within public service. And
- 53:21Speaker 2: this is what he's famous for it. Right, He wrote
- 53:22Speaker 2: this book called The Prince you know, talks about many
- 53:25Speaker 2: of these ideas and the most famous, I would say
- 53:28Speaker 2: the most famous is the enemy of my enemy is
- 53:30Speaker 2: my friend, right, you know, summarized that way. And that
- 53:36Speaker 2: is the point that I want to make here, is
- 53:39Speaker 2: that there are people that still use this type of thinking.
- 53:44Speaker 2: It's not old, it's new, it's every day. And instead
- 53:46Speaker 2: of thinking through what's the best way I can bless
- 53:49Speaker 2: these people? What's the best way I can be used
- 53:51Speaker 2: by God? Today? And again I'm not saying I do
- 53:53Speaker 2: this either, right, I want to. This is what I
- 53:55Speaker 2: aspire to do. There are times I do and times
- 53:57Speaker 2: I don't, and the times I do, I'm enormously proud
- 54:01Speaker 2: and grateful and humbled that I was able to do
- 54:05Speaker 2: it right. But there are people that don't look at
- 54:09Speaker 2: everything as in, how can I be of use? How
- 54:12Speaker 2: can I be of service? How can I help? And
- 54:14Speaker 2: there's some of the thing. How can I help myself
- 54:15Speaker 2: to this? How can this person help me? How can
- 54:17Speaker 2: I be you know, how can I make this more
- 54:19Speaker 2: advantageous for my situation? And I think in life, some
- 54:22Speaker 2: of that is survival and you need to have that.
- 54:24Speaker 2: You need to have those instincts, you need to have both.
- 54:27Speaker 2: You need to know when to navigate that way and
- 54:29Speaker 2: when to kind of retreat and not. I think the
- 54:33Speaker 2: majority of people exists in one of those two camps,
- 54:37Speaker 2: and there's a small handful that exists in the middle
- 54:40Speaker 2: where they can do both, and they turn it off
- 54:42Speaker 2: and on. I don't know, maybe I'm wrong, but either way, Machiavelli.
- 54:48Speaker 2: So using the example from today with El Trumpezo and Mamdani,
- 54:53Speaker 2: I think there are Machiavellian principles that are at play there, right.
- 55:00Speaker 2: I also think you have President Trump as a very
- 55:06Speaker 2: good relationship with Netan Yahoo and the Israeli people and
- 55:11Speaker 2: the Jewish community, and now he allows this man to
- 55:14Speaker 2: come to his office, who said terrible things, who supported
- 55:18Speaker 2: the Holy Land five, who said he would arrest Netan Yahoo,
- 55:22Speaker 2: who has called for maybe not through himself, but through
- 55:27Speaker 2: his proxies his campaign people a ghad right, a moral
- 55:35Speaker 2: war for their faith, And why would he do such
- 55:41Speaker 2: a thing and risk Well, maybe that's the political calculus
- 55:44Speaker 2: or part of it. Okay, I've given this guy. At
- 55:47Speaker 2: the time of day, I'm going to look fair and
- 55:48Speaker 2: balanced and great, and hey, maybe listen, I love you,
- 55:53Speaker 2: I love you, baby, I do, but miss Trump right
- 55:56Speaker 2: bybe I love you, I love you, but I need
- 55:58Speaker 2: you to work with me. We got to say, stopped
- 56:00Speaker 2: the bombing of Hamas, we got disarmed Hamas. It's so
- 56:03Speaker 2: important to disarm them. And maybe that's the angle. I
- 56:07Speaker 2: don't know, right, I don't know all of the the
- 56:12Speaker 2: answers here. I do know that it's very easy to
- 56:15Speaker 2: criticize people that are working in the government, and you know,
- 56:21Speaker 2: having worked for Governor Christie, and then he hugged Obama
- 56:24Speaker 2: and it was over right. People stopped caring about the guy.
- 56:27Speaker 2: They didn't care what he did for New Jersey during
- 56:29Speaker 2: the Hurricane Sandy debacle. They didn't care about anything other
- 56:32Speaker 2: than he went too far. And maybe something in that
- 56:36Speaker 2: particular situation, I don't think he did. He greeted the
- 56:39Speaker 2: guy with a hug, and that was like, oh my gosh,
- 56:42Speaker 2: he's hugging Obama. It was a time in New Jersey
- 56:46Speaker 2: where people look at my house. We had no power
- 56:48Speaker 2: for five days. Now, we also had a generator, so
- 56:50Speaker 2: we had you know, we didn't lose any meat. We
- 56:53Speaker 2: had the generator hooked up to a couple of lights
- 56:55Speaker 2: and the refrigerator. Okay, so far, so good. Right, things
- 56:59Speaker 2: were functioning for us. We were living a somewhat normal life.
- 57:02Speaker 2: Some of the rooms were dark, you know, couldn't put
- 57:04Speaker 2: juice in everything. But we had enough portable lanterns and
- 57:07Speaker 2: stuff like that. We got through the five days. It
- 57:10Speaker 2: was October or whatever it was, so it wasn't freezing. Now,
- 57:15Speaker 2: there were some people who had water up to their
- 57:17Speaker 2: knees had to evacuate. So it was brutal. The Jersey
- 57:23Speaker 2: short it's infamous for some people and famous for others,
- 57:27Speaker 2: all right, for being such a great time, was ripped up.
- 57:29Speaker 2: The beach was destroyed, the wood was had flown away,
- 57:33Speaker 2: it was just eaten up by the hurricane. So when
- 57:37Speaker 2: you got the president of the United States and you're
- 57:39Speaker 2: a sitting governor and he shows up here, and you know,
- 57:44Speaker 2: you're very grateful for the support he brings. Again, that
- 57:47Speaker 2: was Obama coming say, look, I'm gonna ingratiate myself with
- 57:49Speaker 2: this guy. I know he's a loud mouth. I know
- 57:52Speaker 2: he can be tough, I know he likes to bully
- 57:54Speaker 2: people around. Blah blah blah blah blah. I'm gonna try
- 57:56Speaker 2: and kill him with kindness. And guess what they shared
- 58:00Speaker 2: an embrace in a moment of trying to get federal
- 58:04Speaker 2: funding to help the people in New Jersey. And this
- 58:07Speaker 2: was Christy's done a lot of things, but this was
- 58:10Speaker 2: the one where people it really messed them up. Listen,
- 58:13Speaker 2: I get it, But I will say something I learned
- 58:15Speaker 2: from going to Christy. He basically said, it's very, very
- 58:23Speaker 2: difficult to hate people to their face. And that's true, right.
- 58:30Speaker 2: It's easy to criticize people when a you don't know them,
- 58:34Speaker 2: be there, not in front of you. So I've always
- 58:37Speaker 2: tried to keep that close. Tried right. Don't get me wrong.
- 58:40Speaker 2: If you've listened to me for any extended time, you'll
- 58:42Speaker 2: know I make fun of a whole lot of people.
- 58:44Speaker 2: It's kind of what I do. But but I try
- 58:47Speaker 2: to keep that in mind and realize that sometimes if
- 58:49Speaker 2: I'm making a caricature of someone on the radio or
- 58:52Speaker 2: on a podcast or on television, or if I'm creating
- 58:55Speaker 2: a foil and a story that I'm telling, it's just that, right,
- 58:59Speaker 2: it's for the sake of illustration, is for the sake
- 59:01Speaker 2: of trying to show you how dire these ideas can be.
- 59:05Speaker 2: And that's important for illustrative purposes. And sometimes it is
- 59:09Speaker 2: very real, and sometimes you have to call these things
- 59:11Speaker 2: out for what they are, right, We've got to try
- 59:13Speaker 2: to be a straight shooter as much as we can be,
- 59:17Speaker 2: and all we can do is do our best and
- 59:19Speaker 2: live and learn. Now, speaking of doing our best and
- 59:22Speaker 2: living and learning, there's an artist named jelly Roll. And
- 59:25Speaker 2: this guy has a phenomenal voice, and I want to
- 59:30Speaker 2: get into a little story about him. Straight ahead, don't
- 59:33Speaker 2: move a muscle.
- 59:35Speaker 1: This is America, This is America.
- 59:43Speaker 2: He's making podcasting great again. This is America with Rich Valdez,
- 59:52Speaker 2: all right, and he goes, welcome back Rich Valdez at
- 59:54Speaker 2: Rich Valdez on all of the social media. Thank you
- 59:58Speaker 2: for sticking with me and and be in here tonight,
- 1:00:01Speaker 2: and of course always check out the flagship Richbaldest dot com,
- 1:00:07Speaker 2: richvaldees dot com. Now Jellyroll he is a huge sensation
- 1:00:12Speaker 2: out in uh where's that Nashville and all over the country. Right,
- 1:00:18Speaker 2: he's really uh great in the country music scene. And
- 1:00:21Speaker 2: he's more than country music. It's like one of those
- 1:00:23Speaker 2: like Teddy Swims. He's got this very soulful voice going on.
- 1:00:29Speaker 2: But Jelly Roll he's married to a woman and that
- 1:00:32Speaker 2: thank god right named Bunny XO, and she's going to jail.
- 1:00:37Speaker 2: This is being reported by Page six New York Post,
- 1:00:40Speaker 2: and she's gonna be vlogging the experience with a video blog.
- 1:00:44Speaker 2: How about that Jellyroll's wife, Bunny, she was an escort
- 1:00:50Speaker 2: some time ago. She's a little younger than me, beautiful woman,
- 1:00:53Speaker 2: forty five years old. She took her quote unquote dumb
- 1:00:58Speaker 2: Blonde podcast. That's what it's called the title of it. Today.
- 1:01:02Speaker 2: She took it upstate so listeners could hear what happened
- 1:01:07Speaker 2: with this what she's calling unintentional trouble with the law.
- 1:01:11Speaker 2: She said, you guys, I'm going to jail. What should
- 1:01:14Speaker 2: we talk about? And she began, you know, just talking
- 1:01:18Speaker 2: on her episode. She got a ticket back in twenty
- 1:01:20Speaker 2: twenty in Alabama. Now she lives in Nashville with her
- 1:01:23Speaker 2: musician husband, who's forty years old, and she began the
- 1:01:27Speaker 2: episode again talking about this legal issue, saying she'd completely
- 1:01:32Speaker 2: forgotten about the ticket when she got pulled over last
- 1:01:34Speaker 2: month while she was driving. And you know, I guess
- 1:01:39Speaker 2: since he's a big guy that's rich and famous. Now,
- 1:01:42Speaker 2: she said she was driving a car that quote looked
- 1:01:44Speaker 2: like a drug dealer's vehicle. I can understand that you know,
- 1:01:50Speaker 2: drug dealers like nice cars, and most people like nice
- 1:01:52Speaker 2: cars too, especially if they could afford him. The officer
- 1:01:55Speaker 2: asked her for a driver's license and ran it through
- 1:01:57Speaker 2: the system, which showed that her license was suspended, obviously
- 1:02:01Speaker 2: for not paying the ticket she forgot, and she says,
- 1:02:04Speaker 2: I was like, what, when, how? How could this happen?
- 1:02:07Speaker 2: Bunny recalled, responding, insisting that she's an upstanding citizen these days.
- 1:02:12Speaker 2: The officer explained to her that her license got suspended
- 1:02:15Speaker 2: because of the unpaid ticket that she got in Alabama,
- 1:02:18Speaker 2: so he let her go with a warning, but told
- 1:02:20Speaker 2: her get it fixed. So Bunny went home and paid
- 1:02:23Speaker 2: it and assumed that meant her license got reinstated, and
- 1:02:28Speaker 2: she was wrong. The other day she was driving the
- 1:02:31Speaker 2: same car might have been speeding, she says, on a
- 1:02:33Speaker 2: highway and got pulled over again. She was overcome with
- 1:02:36Speaker 2: anxiety as she thought to herself, as my driver's license
- 1:02:39Speaker 2: still suspended, it shouldn't be. Bunny claimed the officer was
- 1:02:43Speaker 2: being an efing d word when he informed her that
- 1:02:49Speaker 2: she was going eighty eight miles per hour. He asked
- 1:02:51Speaker 2: her for her license, ran it through the system, and
- 1:02:54Speaker 2: let her know she was in fact still suspended, calling
- 1:02:57Speaker 2: it an arrestable offense. However, the officer said he would
- 1:03:01Speaker 2: not arrest her as long as she agreed to go
- 1:03:03Speaker 2: down to the jail and book herself in within a week.
- 1:03:06Speaker 2: Well that's things, and I know a little bit about that.
- 1:03:09Speaker 2: I had a very similar story once, Bunny said. She
- 1:03:12Speaker 2: later learned that the ticket was paid on October twenty fourth,
- 1:03:15Speaker 2: so she's confused as to why her license would still
- 1:03:17Speaker 2: be suspended, adding that her attorney is on the case.
- 1:03:21Speaker 2: She finishes with saying looks like she's going to have
- 1:03:23Speaker 2: to book herself, and you know, went on to saying,
- 1:03:28Speaker 2: you know, you guys have seen all my previous mugshots.
- 1:03:30Speaker 2: Hopefully I'm glammed up so that I look really good,
- 1:03:33Speaker 2: and I'm going to bring the vlog along so that
- 1:03:35Speaker 2: we can document everything. So you know, she's taking it
- 1:03:39Speaker 2: in stride and making a light of it. She's not
- 1:03:42Speaker 2: the only one. In all reality, this happens to a
- 1:03:45Speaker 2: lot of people. And I can tell you that something
- 1:03:49Speaker 2: similar happened to me once a couple of years back,
- 1:03:51Speaker 2: like ten or twelve years ago. I was giving my
- 1:03:54Speaker 2: brother a ride somewhere in his car. He was like, hey,
- 1:03:57Speaker 2: can you take me in my car. I got to
- 1:03:59Speaker 2: do something, but I need to you know, I don't
- 1:04:02Speaker 2: know what it was, but he had to work on
- 1:04:04Speaker 2: his laptop on the way, and I was about to
- 1:04:06Speaker 2: go out with my kids. He's like, oh, you know what,
- 1:04:07Speaker 2: we'll all go to lunch right after what I got
- 1:04:09Speaker 2: to do as quick, so we all went. I grabbed
- 1:04:11Speaker 2: my kids they were younger, and got in the car
- 1:04:14Speaker 2: with him. And as we're all getting in the car,
- 1:04:16Speaker 2: I was the last one to get in. So I
- 1:04:17Speaker 2: was going to drive since he was going to use
- 1:04:19Speaker 2: his laptop. And I see a police car right next
- 1:04:23Speaker 2: to my car, right outside my house. But it's there
- 1:04:26Speaker 2: for a while, and you never see the cops on
- 1:04:28Speaker 2: my block. So I thought to myself, what's going on here?
- 1:04:33Speaker 2: So I look over and I go, you know, just
- 1:04:35Speaker 2: to look at my car, and like, did I park
- 1:04:36Speaker 2: in the wrong place, you know, on the yellow line?
- 1:04:39Speaker 2: Like what's going on? And as I look, you know,
- 1:04:41Speaker 2: behind my car, I could see inside the police car
- 1:04:44Speaker 2: and I see a picture of my face on his screen.
- 1:04:47Speaker 2: Of course, I don't think he's listening to This is
- 1:04:50Speaker 2: America on iHeartRadio, and he could see my face on
- 1:04:54Speaker 2: the screen. So I go over and I say, hey,
- 1:04:56Speaker 2: everything all right, and he looks at me as he
- 1:04:59Speaker 2: has the picture of my face up on his screen,
- 1:05:01Speaker 2: and he goes, is this your car? I said yes.
- 1:05:03Speaker 2: I felt like saying clearly it's my car because you
- 1:05:06Speaker 2: ran the plate and my face came up, but I
- 1:05:08Speaker 2: said yes it is. And he said, well, it's showing
- 1:05:12Speaker 2: that your license is suspended, and I was like really,
- 1:05:18Speaker 2: from parked In my head, I was thinking how did
- 1:05:21Speaker 2: he run my license as I was parked. I guess
- 1:05:23Speaker 2: it all comes up with those automatic plate readers and
- 1:05:27Speaker 2: I said, I said that can't be and he said, well,
- 1:05:31Speaker 2: it's showing Oh no, excuse me. It wasn't my license
- 1:05:34Speaker 2: was suspended. It was you have an outstanding ticket and
- 1:05:39Speaker 2: they've issued a warrant because you didn't pay the ticket
- 1:05:43Speaker 2: because you missed court or something like that. And I said,
- 1:05:45Speaker 2: well that can't be because I paid that ticket. It
- 1:05:48Speaker 2: was a parking ticket. And he says, well, you got
- 1:05:51Speaker 2: proof that you paid it, and I said, yeah, I do.
- 1:05:53Speaker 2: I took a screenshot, so I show him that it
- 1:05:56Speaker 2: was paid and he goes, yep, looks like that's the
- 1:05:58Speaker 2: same ticket number and showing paid but I guess they
- 1:06:00Speaker 2: didn't take it out of the system. He's like, so
- 1:06:02Speaker 2: you're gonna have to come with me. We're gonna have
- 1:06:04Speaker 2: to go clear this up in the police station. I
- 1:06:06Speaker 2: was like, well, i'll pass by later because right now
- 1:06:08Speaker 2: I'm going you know, I'm going out with my family,
- 1:06:10Speaker 2: going to the movies after an appointment that I have.
- 1:06:13Speaker 2: And he says, no, I don't think I understand you.
- 1:06:15Speaker 2: You have to come with me. I was like, I
- 1:06:17Speaker 2: have to come with you. I'm walking on the street.
- 1:06:19Speaker 2: I'm not even driving the car. The cars parked. I
- 1:06:21Speaker 2: just came over because I saw you next to my car,
- 1:06:25Speaker 2: and you know, now we're going back and forth and
- 1:06:27Speaker 2: I was like look, and he's like, well, you got
- 1:06:28Speaker 2: to come with me. I was like, right then, if
- 1:06:29Speaker 2: I have to do it now, then i'll do it now.
- 1:06:31Speaker 2: I'll meet you there, but it's gotta be quick. And
- 1:06:33Speaker 2: he tells me, no, no, no, you got to come
- 1:06:35Speaker 2: with me. I was like, oh, now you want me
- 1:06:37Speaker 2: to sit in your car. I was like, for what,
- 1:06:39Speaker 2: it's two blocks away. You know where I am. I'm
- 1:06:41Speaker 2: not running away anywhere. I came to you voluntarily. I
- 1:06:46Speaker 2: don't see what's going on. Here, and this is a
- 1:06:48Speaker 2: parking ticket we're talking about. He's like, oh, listen, our
- 1:06:52Speaker 2: rule is that you got to ride with us. I'm thinking,
- 1:06:54Speaker 2: oh my goodness, this is so Now my neighbors have
- 1:06:56Speaker 2: to see me go in a police car, and I'm thinking,
- 1:06:58Speaker 2: this is this is Insand to me. As I get
- 1:07:01Speaker 2: to the police car, I see him grabbing his handcuffs.
- 1:07:03Speaker 2: I go, what are you doing now, and he says, well,
- 1:07:05Speaker 2: it's policy if you're in the car. I got a
- 1:07:06Speaker 2: handcuffe you for my safety. I was like, for your safety.
- 1:07:08Speaker 2: I'm walking on the street and not bother at anybody.
- 1:07:11Speaker 2: I did ride with him. I did not use handcuffs.
- 1:07:14Speaker 2: He did agree not to put the hair. And I
- 1:07:16Speaker 2: was thinking, why am I negotiating so much for a
- 1:07:18Speaker 2: ticket that I've clearly paid. And this whole thing is
- 1:07:21Speaker 2: that obviously you get some very gung ho cops that
- 1:07:24Speaker 2: don't know how to use a lot of common sense.
- 1:07:25Speaker 2: My children were ten feet away watching me with this
- 1:07:29Speaker 2: look of fright on their face. Tad is everything okay?
- 1:07:31Speaker 3: You know?
- 1:07:31Speaker 2: I was like, yeah, the nice officers just being a
- 1:07:34Speaker 2: t bag, you know. I mean I didn't say that,
- 1:07:35Speaker 2: but you know, it's clear that this guy was having
- 1:07:38Speaker 2: a field day because he had nothing better to do. Again,
- 1:07:40Speaker 2: I live in Jersey on the you know, the Jersey
- 1:07:43Speaker 2: side of the Hudson River. There's been a homicide in
- 1:07:45Speaker 2: my town since nineteen fifty four. I'm proud of that,
- 1:07:48Speaker 2: but I mean, come on, stop harassing the local residents
- 1:07:52Speaker 2: who have proof that they paid the ticket. So I
- 1:07:54Speaker 2: walk into this place and he's like, oh, you got
- 1:07:56Speaker 2: to talk to the clerk or whatever. It's a little window.
- 1:07:59Speaker 2: I go to the window and I tell the lady, look,
- 1:08:00Speaker 2: the cop came. He told me how to come here
- 1:08:02Speaker 2: right now and do whatever because this other town two
- 1:08:05Speaker 2: towns over said they issued a warrant because of whatever.
- 1:08:08Speaker 2: But I paid this ticket. I show her the proof.
- 1:08:11Speaker 2: She looks it up in the computer, because show them
- 1:08:12Speaker 2: paid to me. She goes, oh, but I guess there
- 1:08:15Speaker 2: is a thing here. She's like, all right, you know,
- 1:08:16Speaker 2: I'll just put a note on here that you know
- 1:08:18Speaker 2: it was paid and that you came in. I was like,
- 1:08:19Speaker 2: I'm not going to get locked up to this, like
- 1:08:21Speaker 2: you shouldn't. She's like, I'll even call just to have
- 1:08:23Speaker 2: them lifted if they haven't lifted anything. Sometimes, you know,
- 1:08:26Speaker 2: these things happen, but you should be okay. And I
- 1:08:28Speaker 2: was like, oh, thank you lady for being so nice
- 1:08:29Speaker 2: and normal and kind and you know, and the cop
- 1:08:32Speaker 2: was standing right next to me, like realizing, Wow, what
- 1:08:34Speaker 2: a jerk he was. And he was a jerk. What
- 1:08:37Speaker 2: can I say? You know, I still support the men
- 1:08:39Speaker 2: and women in law enforcement. My brothers served in law enforcement.
- 1:08:43Speaker 2: I was a volunteer for a little bit. I was
- 1:08:45Speaker 2: a chaplain for a couple of years. And it doesn't
- 1:08:48Speaker 2: change my view of law enforcement. It just changes my
- 1:08:50Speaker 2: view of that dude. He was El Prico is what
- 1:08:54Speaker 2: we're gonna call him. So anyway, that's that story, and
- 1:08:57Speaker 2: kudos to Jelly Roll. He lost a lot of weight,
- 1:08:59Speaker 2: by the way, and I'm glad that hopefully. I'm glad
- 1:09:04Speaker 2: that things worked out with his wife. Anyway, that's all
- 1:09:06Speaker 2: I got for now. Don't be machiavellian unless you have
- 1:09:09Speaker 2: to be. If you stand for something, you're good. If
- 1:09:13Speaker 2: you stand for nothing, you'll fall for anything. That's a
- 1:09:17Speaker 2: quote from Lord Acton, and also Hamilton is credited with
- 1:09:22Speaker 2: saying that, as are many others. And as always, I
- 1:09:26Speaker 2: say take care, good night, God bless you America. I'm
- 1:09:30Speaker 2: rich Valdez and this is America.
- 1:09:33Speaker 1: This is America.
