- 0:07Speaker 2: have the answer. I have no idea. Yeah, I actually
- 0:09Speaker 2: have no idea. Men just have They're born with it. Yeah.
- 0:13Speaker 2: Too much audacity, Yeah, the audacity to man's playing.
- 0:16Speaker 1: The audacity to moan after taking a peers, the audacity
- 0:20Speaker 1: to leave the door open while pissing, the audacity to
- 0:23Speaker 1: try and argue they're leaving the toilet set up is normal.
- 0:25Speaker 2: The audacity to not make your partner finish, the audacity
- 0:30Speaker 2: to say I just don't know what you want me
- 0:32Speaker 2: to say, The audacity to not go up and knock
- 0:35Speaker 2: on the door on the first day, or the audacity
- 0:38Speaker 2: to honk that's what it is. Fuck you know, the
- 0:41Speaker 2: audacity to cry when caught cheating.
- 0:54Speaker 1: The Relatables podcast is hosted by myself Forty Clark Ak.
- 0:58Speaker 1: My partner in crime is Jake Craig aka Daddy Yeah
- 1:02Speaker 1: and Jake Yeah. We have a confession what this is
- 1:08Speaker 1: a confession session episode. We are addicted to something.
- 1:12Speaker 2: Do you know what it is? Drugs?
- 1:14Speaker 1: Drugs not drugs. It's a type of drug, a type
- 1:17Speaker 1: of drug. I'm addicted to this phone, Jake, are you
- 1:20Speaker 1: addicted to this phone?
- 1:21Speaker 2: Very you guys are. We had a couple of good
- 1:25Speaker 2: chats about this on Patreon actually in last couple of
- 1:27Speaker 2: hours O of patroons, So go over there. It's five
- 1:28Speaker 2: dollars a month to dollars seventy to twenty five a week,
- 1:30Speaker 2: seventy cents a day support your boys. What did you
- 1:33Speaker 2: just say, like a dollar seventeen eighty five per cents
- 1:36Speaker 2: a day. It's cheapest chip, that's all you gotta know.
- 1:40Speaker 2: Cheapers chips? Is that at Australian Yeah, it's got to
- 1:43Speaker 2: be cheapest chips. Well, then know what I mean?
- 1:45Speaker 1: That's cheap anymore? Chips used to be like two dollars.
- 1:47Speaker 1: Growing up, fish and chip shop with your mates, gold
- 1:49Speaker 1: coin two dollars and you'd get a bag full of chips, chicken,
- 1:54Speaker 1: saltant sauce.
- 1:55Speaker 2: That's reminiscing anyone that's not from Australia. We call French
- 1:58Speaker 2: fries hot chips. Yeah, that's what we're talking about right
- 2:01Speaker 2: now is hot chips.
- 2:01Speaker 1: A day in the sun with your mates, some hot chips.
- 2:04Speaker 1: After all you needed was a gold coin from your
- 2:08Speaker 1: mum or dad. You hit me in the nostalgia.
- 2:11Speaker 2: Yeah, it was good, that's all.
- 2:13Speaker 1: But that's not we're going to talk. It's not we're
- 2:15Speaker 1: going to talk about today, Jake.
- 2:16Speaker 2: Those are the days. Man. We are addicted to this phone.
- 2:19Speaker 2: But we have a solution.
- 2:20Speaker 1: Jake, let me introduce you to the cat S twenty two. Wait,
- 2:26Speaker 1: ring me, ring me, pretend you're ringing ring ring ring.
- 2:30Speaker 1: Yeld's up.
- 2:31Speaker 2: He just checking my time of recording today and I'm.
- 2:33Speaker 1: Busy, sorry, should look at this thing? So we have
- 2:39Speaker 1: gone out and bought dumb phones. Yes, and the whole
- 2:43Speaker 1: purpose of this is to have a weekend phone to
- 2:46Speaker 1: get off this and unaddicted.
- 2:49Speaker 2: Mate, look at it.
- 2:51Speaker 1: So this weekend Jake and I are planning to not
- 2:56Speaker 1: use our usual phones and only use this, which will
- 2:59Speaker 1: get us off social media and everything in general.
- 3:02Speaker 2: Maybe we should this weekend have like some sort of
- 3:07Speaker 2: alarms set or something to try. Got something in my
- 3:11Speaker 2: throat to try and remember to just film how we're feeling. Yeah,
- 3:16Speaker 2: that's a good idea, to be honest. You can film
- 3:18Speaker 2: it on this thing. What's a mic?
- 3:20Speaker 3: Like? Ah?
- 3:23Speaker 2: So, Jake, here is yours.
- 3:27Speaker 1: But before you open it, I have another confession. I
- 3:32Speaker 1: might have fucked up why just a little bit. So
- 3:37Speaker 1: my SIM card is in it and it's not working
- 3:41Speaker 1: oh yet.
- 3:43Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 3:43Speaker 1: And the reason I bought these is I did my research.
- 3:47Speaker 1: Don't open it properly yet. Okay, that's what I said before.
- 3:50Speaker 2: Man, listen, Well, you can't give me something new and
- 3:52Speaker 2: then expect me not to open it. I said, don't
- 3:54Speaker 2: open it yet. Let me explain.
- 3:56Speaker 1: Well, I want to see if your SIM card works
- 3:58Speaker 1: in this because you're with tell S trying you op,
- 4:00Speaker 1: this isn't working.
- 4:01Speaker 2: Okay.
- 4:02Speaker 1: So the reason I bought these is I went on
- 4:04Speaker 1: Reddit and they said you can activate them, but we
- 4:06Speaker 1: have two solutions. Solution one is your SIM card goes
- 4:09Speaker 1: in and it works and it's Tells and I'll just
- 4:10Speaker 1: change my seam anyway. Option two is we go into
- 4:13Speaker 1: Aerono and get someone to put in the settings to
- 4:15Speaker 1: get it to unlocked properly. Oh yeah, yeah yeah, because
- 4:18Speaker 1: so so it will work.
- 4:19Speaker 2: Do you know it's only three G? Wait it's only
- 4:23Speaker 2: three G? Yeah? So does that mean even if we
- 4:26Speaker 2: want to use something, it's not going to work? Three
- 4:28Speaker 2: G is so ship? Now do they do they still
- 4:31Speaker 2: use three G? Like? Are the service still up? Probably not?
- 4:34Speaker 2: If the service up it doesn't work at all, Like
- 4:36Speaker 2: you can't even use it for a phone call.
- 4:37Speaker 1: So I might have fucked up. So we have to
- 4:39Speaker 1: go through those steps and if not, we can return them.
- 4:42Speaker 2: That's what I said.
- 4:42Speaker 1: Don't open it, okay, okay, okay, and we'll just go
- 4:45Speaker 1: to JBI five. We'll just get a different one. We'll
- 4:47Speaker 1: buy an actual proper shit or should we that doesn't
- 4:49Speaker 1: have Spotify?
- 4:50Speaker 2: Should we? Because there's these actual ones that are called
- 4:53Speaker 2: what are they called?
- 4:56Speaker 1: They called nothing phones, but they're about six hundred USDE.
- 5:02Speaker 1: I felt bad because these were two hundred au D each. Yeah,
- 5:05Speaker 1: and I felt bad. I was like, oh fuck, maybe
- 5:07Speaker 1: these weren't even work.
- 5:08Speaker 2: Ah, it is what it is.
- 5:09Speaker 1: But they're six I set it up with Wi Fi
- 5:11Speaker 1: and stuff at home, which works. Okay, so you can okay,
- 5:14Speaker 1: So it's like I think workable. Here's here's actually something
- 5:18Speaker 1: I have to say, A little knocky a burner phone.
- 5:22Speaker 2: Yeah that works. Yeah, this kid is gonna work. Yeah,
- 5:26Speaker 2: we might just need to buy a specific SIM card.
- 5:28Speaker 2: That's what I think the problem might be.
- 5:30Speaker 1: And hoping if we take it out O yours can
- 5:33Speaker 1: you're going to try to set your phone off after.
- 5:34Speaker 2: With that anyway. Mate.
- 5:37Speaker 1: Oh it's sexy a what look, guys, I'm hoping it works,
- 5:43Speaker 1: praying to God's the phone, God's please right now?
- 5:46Speaker 2: Does it just not? You can't go into anything.
- 5:49Speaker 1: I just I reseid it too, like because I thought
- 5:51Speaker 1: maybe if I because I put my SIM card in
- 5:53Speaker 1: after I connected to Wi Fi and stuff, I was like, oh,
- 5:55Speaker 1: maybe I'll just reset the whole thing again and then
- 5:56Speaker 1: do the whole process again.
- 5:57Speaker 2: But it didn't work. It's full touch screen as well.
- 6:00Speaker 2: It's a touch screen.
- 6:01Speaker 1: It actually works pretty good. It's waterproof, air tight, waterproof. Yeah,
- 6:05Speaker 1: that's what it's built for. It's like a back button.
- 6:06Speaker 1: CAT is predominantly like a truck company. Yeah, like heavy
- 6:11Speaker 1: duty ship.
- 6:12Speaker 2: So this would be what their supervisors and like all
- 6:14Speaker 2: the people they would supply this for their work. Yeah. Yeah,
- 6:16Speaker 2: I need to try this up on my actual year. Hello,
- 6:21Speaker 2: it's sick.
- 6:22Speaker 4: It's cool.
- 6:24Speaker 1: Yeah, dude, I'm hoping it works well. You can have
- 6:28Speaker 1: a go after putting you my SIM card in. I
- 6:30Speaker 1: gotta find one of those little things to get my
- 6:31Speaker 1: sim card out. Oh that's a pain in the ass.
- 6:33Speaker 2: One of the Joanne will have an ear ring or something.
- 6:35Speaker 1: Yeah, facts backs back so good. But I'm care to
- 6:38Speaker 1: try and get off my phone, get unaddicted, and we're
- 6:42Speaker 1: going to document the process. Yes where you are thinking,
- 6:45Speaker 1: maybe we'll write notes, like don't record our voices, let's
- 6:48Speaker 1: write notes.
- 6:49Speaker 2: Cool.
- 6:49Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, see I'm already getting healthier heard on the
- 6:54Speaker 1: radio somewhere.
- 6:55Speaker 2: That's grate for Well, we both been. I've been doing
- 7:01Speaker 2: it for a little over a month now, and you've
- 7:02Speaker 2: just started today. I bought a notebook. I need bought
- 7:04Speaker 2: a notebook and we've been doing to do list. Jake's
- 7:06Speaker 2: got me onto it.
- 7:07Speaker 1: I told Jake before this that I started writing notes
- 7:10Speaker 1: and then my notes for the day were edit Patreon
- 7:14Speaker 1: what stimulated, And I was like, gods.
- 7:17Speaker 2: I don't think I'm going to forget to do that.
- 7:21Speaker 2: But I'll even put I've been putting in mine. So
- 7:24Speaker 2: I put the work that I want to do for
- 7:26Speaker 2: the day. But then I'll also put go grocery shopping, right,
- 7:31Speaker 2: change the bed sheets.
- 7:32Speaker 1: So I got to get more intricate.
- 7:33Speaker 2: So I'll have ten things I want to do in
- 7:36Speaker 2: a day, but some of them take two seconds. One
- 7:39Speaker 2: of them could just be to remember to call Telstra
- 7:41Speaker 2: about something or call the landlord needs to be emailed
- 7:44Speaker 2: about something, you know, just see ittle simple things because
- 7:46Speaker 2: I forget otherwise, Yeah, you do forget.
- 7:48Speaker 1: I don't forget, but I'm thinking it might help my
- 7:50Speaker 1: brain capacity because I'm feeling held down. Yeah, there's too
- 7:53Speaker 1: much to think about in there.
- 7:54Speaker 2: Yeah. And sometimes do you do you feel like if
- 7:59Speaker 2: you get a message or something about something, do you think, well,
- 8:05Speaker 2: I want to do it right now, so I don't forget. Yes?
- 8:09Speaker 2: Has that ever happened to you?
- 8:10Speaker 1: All the time, I'm like, and then always I'm falling asleep,
- 8:12Speaker 1: and I was like, I better write this down.
- 8:13Speaker 2: I forget, and then you almost stress yourself out and
- 8:18Speaker 2: see more busy than you actually are, because I'm happy
- 8:21Speaker 2: to admit I'm actually probably the least busy personal life.
- 8:23Speaker 2: Like I write it to do this with ten things
- 8:25Speaker 2: to do each day, but fifty percent of its work.
- 8:27Speaker 1: Well from the sounds of your to do list, change
- 8:29Speaker 1: your sheets made little thing. I would literally not do
- 8:33Speaker 1: it if I didn't write it down. Really, I would
- 8:35Speaker 1: fully forget to do you like, just look at your
- 8:36Speaker 1: bed and like, oh, yeah, I.
- 8:37Speaker 2: Remember to change my sheets. I make my bed each day,
- 8:40Speaker 2: so I look at a clean bed and it won't
- 8:41Speaker 2: cross my mind. I need to change them. Funny, I'm
- 8:45Speaker 2: going to start doing that. Yes, start doing it, and
- 8:46Speaker 2: it a little put jim, put Jim on it. Ok
- 8:48Speaker 2: go Jym. If you if you want to cook, like
- 8:51Speaker 2: some meal prep that day, put me put cook on it.
- 8:53Speaker 2: There's little things simple and then when you check them off,
- 8:56Speaker 2: you're just like feeling a compliment. I hear it.
- 8:58Speaker 4: I like it.
- 8:59Speaker 1: Good for the mental Yeah, I think it will be
- 9:00Speaker 1: really good for We're all about health.
- 9:02Speaker 2: Yeah, we're leveling up LEVELO development. Yeah. You might have
- 9:07Speaker 2: an early on in front of LB of development happening
- 9:08Speaker 2: because you're not twenty five years Oh, I can feel it.
- 9:10Speaker 2: I can feel something going on day cool. Yeah, I
- 9:12Speaker 2: can feel it. You let me know when you tell
- 9:13Speaker 2: some kids in the park to stop squaar and I'm
- 9:17Speaker 2: actually planning to go for a run after this, I
- 9:18Speaker 2: might see some kids kicking a ball where they're not
- 9:20Speaker 2: meant to hang Okay, stop? Wait? Is full frontal load
- 9:25Speaker 2: development accepting that cyclists aren't that bad.
- 9:28Speaker 1: If that's the case, I never want to. Yeah, do that,
- 9:30Speaker 1: I might get my front leve come out cut out.
- 9:34Speaker 1: I reckon, I have frontal lobe development from my bedtime,
- 9:37Speaker 1: and like when people play loud music around my house
- 9:39Speaker 1: plus ten pm, I'm thinking about going over there.
- 9:41Speaker 2: Some of us have to go to work. Mate. I
- 9:43Speaker 2: picked my younger sister up from the airport today, right,
- 9:46Speaker 2: I'm on the way here. Yeah, And I just asked
- 9:48Speaker 2: how the family's going, how she's going. And then I said,
- 9:52Speaker 2: I said, how's Ethan going. He's my younger brother, yes, fifteen,
- 9:55Speaker 2: And she said because Joanna had just gone to Queensland
- 9:58Speaker 2: a seam and she said, oh, you know in that phase.
- 10:00Speaker 2: He's in a phase puberty. Yeah, And I said so,
- 10:03Speaker 2: I said, oh, I do want to see he's in
- 10:04Speaker 2: a phase. And she goes, yes, Oh my god. He's
- 10:06Speaker 2: such a pain like Dad and Kate. They can never
- 10:09Speaker 2: do anything right or he's mad at them. He's She goes,
- 10:12Speaker 2: he slept. He sleeps in until one pm. Really he's
- 10:15Speaker 2: on school holidays, but he sleeps in until one pm.
- 10:18Speaker 2: And I was like, what time has he got to bed?
- 10:21Speaker 2: I see?
- 10:22Speaker 1: I was like, he must be going to bed at
- 10:24Speaker 1: six am, yeah, legit.
- 10:25Speaker 2: And and so when you bring up bedtime, I was
- 10:29Speaker 2: like trying to think of the last time I went
- 10:31Speaker 2: to bed past eleven, especially because you don't drink. Yeah,
- 10:35Speaker 2: and so I couldn't really think of a time. And
- 10:37Speaker 2: I've been going about like nine yeah, I got about
- 10:39Speaker 2: at like nine thirty nine forty five. Yeah, every night
- 10:42Speaker 2: and I love it. And you know what Ethan needs
- 10:44Speaker 2: to listen to this podcast? Yeah, you should put him
- 10:46Speaker 2: onto it. Up, his up, his health, up, his front
- 10:49Speaker 2: of local development. Mate. Going to bed at like six
- 10:52Speaker 2: am is insane. I don't even think I ever did
- 10:54Speaker 2: that when I was young, making it relatable, but I
- 10:56Speaker 2: don't think I ever did it either.
- 10:58Speaker 1: But I definitely didn't have the same appreciation for sleep
- 11:01Speaker 1: back then. Like he probably doesn't know what it's like
- 11:03Speaker 1: to feel like shit after having a good feels like.
- 11:06Speaker 2: No, you probably he just always feels like it.
- 11:08Speaker 1: Also, that age, you always just have so much energy,
- 11:10Speaker 1: Like you didn't get bounced back, you didn't get hungover
- 11:13Speaker 1: like you used to drink twenty or a million beers.
- 11:15Speaker 1: Next day you're like, oh, I'm ready to go to
- 11:17Speaker 1: the gym, but now six six pack of beers and
- 11:19Speaker 1: you're like, I never doing that again.
- 11:21Speaker 2: On on Saturday, Johanna came to Sydney and stayed at
- 11:25Speaker 2: beth and Es and we went out for dinner and
- 11:27Speaker 2: Johanna had one approle spirits and Beth had half of
- 11:30Speaker 2: a margarita. Beth was sweet, but Joanna said the next
- 11:33Speaker 2: day she woke up feeling hungover. She's old, and I
- 11:35Speaker 2: was like, bro, you're not sad. It's freaking crazy. She's
- 11:41Speaker 2: like twenty seven.
- 11:42Speaker 1: Yeah, I'm just looking forward to twenty five and my
- 11:45Speaker 1: frontal lobe development happens. Yes, yes, yes, but I reckon
- 11:48Speaker 1: we can show a bit of our new lobal development
- 11:51Speaker 1: in the IG question of the week. Ja yeah, buddy,
- 11:55Speaker 1: I want you to explain this. Actually, you'll do a
- 11:57Speaker 1: better job.
- 11:58Speaker 2: It was your idea. Oh okay, So it was this
- 12:01Speaker 2: argy question actually came from Beth and it started off
- 12:04Speaker 2: as a joke and it was it was like a
- 12:07Speaker 2: finished this sentence, and then I started the sentence on
- 12:10Speaker 2: the Instagram with why do men? And then everyone could
- 12:14Speaker 2: finish the sentence. Very broad spectrum, very broad spectrum. Yeah,
- 12:18Speaker 2: and I mean the answers kind of show it, yeah,
- 12:21Speaker 2: show it from what I found. At least.
- 12:22Speaker 1: I like that because it will keep everyone on your
- 12:24Speaker 1: toes because you don't know what's happening exactly.
- 12:26Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, yeah, I'll do Yeah, I'll do the first one.
- 12:30Speaker 2: Why do men always miss the toilet bowl? And then
- 12:34Speaker 2: in all caps they wrote, it's huge.
- 12:38Speaker 1: That's not how it works. Hey, we can actually give
- 12:41Speaker 1: a little bit of insight here. Yeah, it's different for
- 12:44Speaker 1: you too.
- 12:44Speaker 2: Fuck.
- 12:44Speaker 1: This might be TMI when you have a four skin
- 12:47Speaker 1: has not pulled back like the perfect amount or like
- 12:49Speaker 1: in the right angle, it'll spray a.
- 12:51Speaker 2: Little bit everywhere too.
- 12:52Speaker 1: Okay, So it's not about like trajectory of hitting it.
- 12:54Speaker 1: It's like physically, like my anatomy is saying, the stream
- 12:57Speaker 1: isn't going straight.
- 12:58Speaker 2: Coming from a circumcised man who who literally doesn't have
- 13:02Speaker 2: a foreskin but still get some spray. I can, I can,
- 13:06Speaker 2: I can sort of relate. But it must be worse.
- 13:09Speaker 1: For you or you don't want to know after a
- 13:11Speaker 1: boner too, oh something if it hasn't come all the
- 13:14Speaker 1: way back, you're like.
- 13:15Speaker 2: Something also something about right after you've come. Oh that
- 13:20Speaker 2: P is different. It's like it glues it shut semi
- 13:22Speaker 2: a bit, and so then P has to like open
- 13:25Speaker 2: it out story time and then it just goes. You
- 13:28Speaker 2: don't know what to do story time. This is fucked.
- 13:32Speaker 1: Jake just mentioned he got back from picking his sister
- 13:35Speaker 1: up from the airport and then came straight here like
- 13:37Speaker 1: an hour and a half drive, and I was already
- 13:39Speaker 1: at the studio waiting for him with just talking to
- 13:41Speaker 1: his sister and stuff.
- 13:43Speaker 2: And he comes and goes, OK, take a piss. I
- 13:45Speaker 2: had to piss since the airport. It's nearly two hours RNG.
- 13:50Speaker 2: Go straight to the toilet. You hear the stream.
- 13:51Speaker 1: He doesn't close the door, and then like pause for
- 13:55Speaker 1: a solid thirty seconds, and then he.
- 13:57Speaker 2: Just goes me Joanna and Jake's ivisister Haley, who's like
- 14:05Speaker 2: hell she seventeen eighteen eighteen, just like pause, like are
- 14:10Speaker 2: you okay? It's just I don't know, have you ever
- 14:16Speaker 2: have you ever had to piss so so bad? And
- 14:20Speaker 2: you want it to be coming out with the with
- 14:23Speaker 2: the strength of a fucking furying river with a glacier
- 14:27Speaker 2: running into it, But it just straight away, it doesn't
- 14:30Speaker 2: doesn't happen like that. It kind of it kind of
- 14:32Speaker 2: hurts a little bit bladders, Like halfway through, I really
- 14:35Speaker 2: let it go. Yeah, my body really thought, okay, we're safe,
- 14:38Speaker 2: and that's when it started to feel the best. So
- 14:39Speaker 2: I was like, oh, you sounded like an eighty year
- 14:42Speaker 2: old manual. You're almost orgasm in there. I would have
- 14:45Speaker 2: thought you had. I nearly did.
- 14:48Speaker 1: Fucking great, bro, it felt amazing al. Why do men
- 14:52Speaker 1: have the audacity?
- 14:53Speaker 2: Oh? Fact that was so popular. I don't have the answer.
- 14:57Speaker 2: I have no idea. Yeah, I actually have no idea.
- 14:59Speaker 2: Men just have They're born with it.
- 15:02Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 15:02Speaker 2: Audacity, it's a word too. What is born with? The audacity?
- 15:06Speaker 2: Audacity to do anything as well? Yeah? Too much audacity? Yeah,
- 15:08Speaker 2: the audacity to man's playing, The.
- 15:10Speaker 1: Audacity to moan after taking a peers, the audacity to
- 15:14Speaker 1: leave the door open while pissing, the audacity to try
- 15:17Speaker 1: and argue.
- 15:18Speaker 2: They're leaving the toilet set up is normal. The audacity
- 15:20Speaker 2: to not make your partner feelings, the audacity to say
- 15:25Speaker 2: I just don't know what you want me to say,
- 15:28Speaker 2: the audacity to not go up and knock on the
- 15:30Speaker 2: door on the first day, or the audacity to honk,
- 15:33Speaker 2: that's what it is, fucking hew, the audacity to cry
- 15:36Speaker 2: when caught cheating.
- 15:40Speaker 1: The audacity to just hear when I'm out the front.
- 15:42Speaker 2: Next ig question is how do we word like audacity
- 15:47Speaker 2: is give them to go from that? What do men
- 15:48Speaker 2: have the audacity to do. Yeah, something like that. We'll
- 15:51Speaker 2: figure something out. Yeah, that's a mental note in the
- 15:53Speaker 2: frontal love development. Man, we normally don't come up with
- 15:56Speaker 2: ideas on the spotlight this. We've got to think about it.
- 15:58Speaker 2: That's a good point. They rolled off the song that's
- 16:01Speaker 2: scary and good. Yeah, scary because that's our gen.
- 16:04Speaker 1: I feel like we're becoming like Dart Fader or something.
- 16:07Speaker 1: I just finished Star Wars, so like I'm in my
- 16:10Speaker 1: era started watching Mandalorian again.
- 16:12Speaker 2: Is it just as good the second time? Yeah?
- 16:15Speaker 1: Well I forgot about it because there's three seasons, so
- 16:17Speaker 1: the first season, like, oh, I forgot about this, So
- 16:18Speaker 1: the first.
- 16:19Speaker 2: Season would have come out in like twenty twenty.
- 16:20Speaker 1: And now I know it's Pablo Pascal, like you don't
- 16:23Speaker 1: know forever. Yeah, it's but when we first started, like
- 16:25Speaker 1: I didn't look up who the casting was. But now
- 16:28Speaker 1: that I know it's him, it's even better because.
- 16:30Speaker 2: He's like sexy. I'm going to save you to what
- 16:32Speaker 2: Pedro Pascal? Okay, so you said Pablo, I was gonna
- 16:35Speaker 2: let it go. I didn't want someone to comment and
- 16:36Speaker 2: think that I also don't know it. What happened to
- 16:40Speaker 2: that shirt?
- 16:40Speaker 4: You own.
- 16:41Speaker 2: I wear it last. I wore it last right to bed. Oh,
- 16:42Speaker 2: I wear in to bed right. It's a great Yeah,
- 16:44Speaker 2: that's a great shirt from you. Yeah. Why do men
- 16:48Speaker 2: have birthdays because they never grow up? Oh? That's intricate
- 16:53Speaker 2: birthday because we want presents and we have your audacty
- 16:55Speaker 2: to ask for them. All right, Yeah, yeah, we just
- 16:57Speaker 2: want free shit. We still ate. Yeah that's all we have.
- 17:02Speaker 2: We have age. We may not grow up, but we
- 17:04Speaker 2: a yeah.
- 17:04Speaker 4: That's it.
- 17:05Speaker 1: Yeah, there's a difference, all right. Why do men disappear
- 17:09Speaker 1: like ghosts? Reappear like submarines? Like, sir, it's not a
- 17:13Speaker 1: stealth mission?
- 17:14Speaker 2: Fuck? Intricate?
- 17:15Speaker 1: Yeah, bro, the Ghirlipop's got intricate for this one.
- 17:19Speaker 2: That is, I mean fair. Yeah, that's what I do.
- 17:23Speaker 1: Like, have you ever No, we haven't done that, but
- 17:25Speaker 1: I feel like that's relatable for a lot of people listening. Like, guys,
- 17:29Speaker 1: you think everything's on and it just goes out nowhere
- 17:31Speaker 1: for like no particular reason, and then a couple of
- 17:34Speaker 1: months down the track he's just like, hey.
- 17:35Speaker 2: You wa and who gave him the audacity?
- 17:39Speaker 3: Yeah?
- 17:43Speaker 2: Why do men all put chapstick on the same way that?
- 17:49Speaker 2: It's like, why do men put chapstick on wrong? Yeah?
- 17:51Speaker 2: I don't know. Is there a wrong way to do
- 17:53Speaker 2: it if it's applied? You know what I'm saying.
- 17:56Speaker 1: Is there a wrong way to do it if it
- 17:57Speaker 1: is applied?
- 17:58Speaker 2: That's too much frontal low development there, mate, I think
- 18:00Speaker 2: we just do it. I'm asking the heart hitting questions.
- 18:03Speaker 2: I'm asking the questions that they can't answer. I just
- 18:06Speaker 2: I feel like I'm giving the ick when I put
- 18:07Speaker 2: chapstick on. That's the same effect.
- 18:09Speaker 1: I've come to a conclusion that I would prefer to
- 18:12Speaker 1: have dry lips then apply chapstick in public.
- 18:16Speaker 2: The only way to put chapstick on without giving someone
- 18:19Speaker 2: the air is to kiss it off your girlfriend. Yeah. Yeah,
- 18:21Speaker 2: my girlfriend's been wearing that spicy shit, no bro, And
- 18:25Speaker 2: like she just applies and then gives me a kiss
- 18:27Speaker 2: and she's like, oh sorry.
- 18:28Speaker 1: I'm like it's alright, it's all right, it's not I
- 18:32Speaker 1: hate that.
- 18:33Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 18:36Speaker 1: Why do men that barely fives act like nine point
- 18:39Speaker 1: five's s.
- 18:45Speaker 2: Elasity? I like how she said nine point five because
- 18:48Speaker 2: she knows tens aren't real. Yeah, she's the true stuff.
- 18:51Speaker 2: She's a listener. She's seen things. Yeah, she's been through
- 18:54Speaker 2: stuff in the girl world. Actually, do tens exist? Is
- 18:58Speaker 2: it the same ratings as a man's. We've rated this before, like,
- 19:05Speaker 2: I can't remember the exact list it was. Again, it's
- 19:07Speaker 2: about personal preference. It was like nines of unicorns.
- 19:11Speaker 1: We used like stupid analogies, like another magical creature was
- 19:15Speaker 1: like an eighth down to a seven.
- 19:21Speaker 2: Okay, I I do this. I hope you do it. Okay,
- 19:25Speaker 2: and you get it. Why do men like to just
- 19:29Speaker 2: cross that bridge when they get there? Like you're not
- 19:32Speaker 2: a troll?
- 19:34Speaker 1: Oh wait, let me I can figure this out frontal
- 19:36Speaker 1: load development activated. I don't deal with the problem until
- 19:41Speaker 1: it has to be dealt with.
- 19:43Speaker 2: Is that it? I mean to be fair way to live. Yeah, Like,
- 19:49Speaker 2: if there's an issue and I know it's going to
- 19:50Speaker 2: come up in two weeks, I won't deal with it now.
- 19:52Speaker 1: I'll just wait the two weeks and then deal with it.
- 19:55Speaker 1: It's also based a lot off of if if it
- 19:57Speaker 1: comes up. If it comes up, that's when I cross
- 20:00Speaker 1: that bridge.
- 20:00Speaker 2: It's living life on the edge. Literally, I'm not going
- 20:03Speaker 2: to create a problem that hasn't come yet. I'm also
- 20:05Speaker 2: not going to fix a problem that hasn't come yet.
- 20:07Speaker 2: This sounds a little bit toxic.
- 20:11Speaker 1: Like if you've done something wrong and you're going to
- 20:14Speaker 1: cause a problem, Oh, I think you should bring it up.
- 20:16Speaker 2: But if like, yeah, I'm talking about like I don't know,
- 20:20Speaker 2: maybe hmm. Let's think we accidentally put a tiny little
- 20:24Speaker 2: ding in the wall and saying we need to fix
- 20:27Speaker 2: it or else in real estate when and give us
- 20:28Speaker 2: our bond back, and I'll be like, I'll cross that bridge,
- 20:29Speaker 2: and yeah, that's what I would use it. I was
- 20:33Speaker 2: thinking the audacity of men like slept or cheated with
- 20:37Speaker 2: a girl's like friend and in two weeks there's like
- 20:39Speaker 2: a dinner together. Yeah, okay to that two weeks. It's
- 20:46Speaker 2: an anxious two weeks for him. So the torture, Honestly,
- 20:49Speaker 2: he deserves your turn, right.
- 20:53Speaker 1: Why do men just fight air? Like literally just punch
- 20:57Speaker 1: the air.
- 20:58Speaker 2: You eve't shadow boxing for ages.
- 21:04Speaker 1: I'm still the world champion, Guys, still the fucking world champion.
- 21:09Speaker 2: Bod He used to full shadow box all the time.
- 21:12Speaker 2: Everyone was scared of me. That's why damn you stop
- 21:16Speaker 2: shadow boxing. Yeah, I don't know.
- 21:18Speaker 1: I feel like it's just like a well, I tell
- 21:19Speaker 1: you a story when I was in Bali on so
- 21:22Speaker 1: Indonesia has Silent Day. I told you about it on
- 21:24Speaker 1: Patreon Nappy Day, yep. And the whole day you're not
- 21:27Speaker 1: allow to leave your villa. And we had a very
- 21:30Speaker 1: nice villa that like overlooked very nice rice paddies, and
- 21:34Speaker 1: you could see into like three or four other people's
- 21:36Speaker 1: villas right just like very far away. They kind of
- 21:38Speaker 1: look like ants.
- 21:39Speaker 2: Yeah oh yeah, okay, but you coud see him walking around, yeah, yeah,
- 21:42Speaker 2: yeah yeah.
- 21:42Speaker 1: And I was looking at one of them while swimming
- 21:44Speaker 1: in the pool. And this guy he just went for
- 21:46Speaker 1: a swim over. He had his tower around his waist,
- 21:47Speaker 1: he still had shorts on. Thankfully I wouldn't by the way.
- 21:52Speaker 2: I saw him take his towel off, just drop it
- 21:54Speaker 2: and in the middle of his living room just started
- 21:56Speaker 2: going to down. If I wasn't in the pool, I
- 22:01Speaker 2: would have filmed it.
- 22:02Speaker 1: And I was like, every single male does this, and
- 22:05Speaker 1: there was no one watching.
- 22:07Speaker 2: And also here's the thing is he probably he probably
- 22:12Speaker 2: doesn't do it all the time. He probably does it
- 22:15Speaker 2: once a year, and that's just the time that the
- 22:18Speaker 2: the craving of the urge struck. It was a good time.
- 22:22Speaker 2: It was whereas I'm trying to think. I I don't
- 22:26Speaker 2: get it that often. He went for a solid three
- 22:27Speaker 2: minutes he did. Yeah, it was long. He does it
- 22:30Speaker 2: a lot. Yeah, you know, he does it a lot.
- 22:32Speaker 2: Then I was gonna say, you don't really do it. No, No,
- 22:34Speaker 2: I don't really do it. You should up that those numbers. Okay,
- 22:44Speaker 2: now this is I do this and for good reason. Yeah,
- 22:47Speaker 2: why do men pinch and roll? Because it's better than scratching. Okay,
- 22:53Speaker 2: so much more efficient, so much more effective. I disagree.
- 22:57Speaker 2: You introduced me to the theory of pinch and roll.
- 23:00Speaker 2: Oh you didn't do it. No, I wasn't even introduced
- 23:03Speaker 2: to it. That was just something I thought I created
- 23:04Speaker 2: that I found out the whole world.
- 23:05Speaker 1: Does I scratch? We're talking about balls ACKs?
- 23:09Speaker 2: Light is your ball sack? It's unscratchable. What do you
- 23:12Speaker 2: mean it's like loose skin? Yeah, like you just like
- 23:14Speaker 2: you don't like scratch it like a like an itchy scab,
- 23:17Speaker 2: like you scratch it just like trying to pinch and roll.
- 23:20Speaker 2: I don't really understand the pinch and roll technique. Just
- 23:22Speaker 2: where it's itchy, you just pinch and just like roll
- 23:24Speaker 2: one hundred percent. Don't do that. Yeah, I do that.
- 23:27Speaker 4: Nah.
- 23:27Speaker 1: I just like I just like move it around, like
- 23:29Speaker 1: put my hand on it and like move it around.
- 23:30Speaker 2: Shit, Nah, you gotta get a pinch and roll like this.
- 23:34Speaker 2: In the Prophacy of your Own Heart, I saw a
- 23:35Speaker 2: lot of ones were like, why do we put our
- 23:36Speaker 2: hands down our pants? It's comfortable? Yeah? Actually yeah, that's like.
- 23:40Speaker 2: I saw a lot of them too, and I was like,
- 23:41Speaker 2: you're asking a question that's being answered. It's hetorical.
- 23:43Speaker 1: Yeah, it's like my girlfriend does it, and I always
- 23:46Speaker 1: trying to take a picture of her. She puts her
- 23:47Speaker 1: hands on it, like just like the top of her
- 23:49Speaker 1: like just like half her fingers because it's warm, and
- 23:52Speaker 1: I always trying to staff a picture of like what
- 23:53Speaker 1: are you doing?
- 23:56Speaker 2: Wait, the funniest thing happened this morning. So girls obviously
- 24:01Speaker 2: do gross shit behind closed doors. Okay, why the reason
- 24:07Speaker 2: you're saying pause is not gross? Okay, it's just things
- 24:10Speaker 2: everyone does. H But this is gross. It's really funny.
- 24:13Speaker 2: So in what situation would you have like a mad
- 24:19Speaker 2: itchy inner bum cheek and itch it?
- 24:23Speaker 1: What situation maybe like after like a sweaty run and
- 24:25Speaker 1: like I've let the sweat dry, Yeah, something like that.
- 24:28Speaker 1: But where would you be comfortable to do that, ye
- 24:31Speaker 1: said action.
- 24:31Speaker 2: Yeah, like if you were first thing in the morning
- 24:33Speaker 2: in a coped with my own home. Yeah's a good place. Yeah. Okay,
- 24:37Speaker 2: So this morning I got out of bed before Beth
- 24:41Speaker 2: and I went downstairs fucking around, and then Henry was
- 24:45Speaker 2: down there with me, and I walked back upstairs and
- 24:47Speaker 2: the door was open. I just I just like went
- 24:49Speaker 2: in and she kind of quickly jolted, and I didn't
- 24:52Speaker 2: actually see anything, right, she like quickly jolted. She was
- 24:54Speaker 2: in a pajama, she was like fully clothed, and I
- 24:57Speaker 2: just stick. I didn't think anything of it. Then she
- 25:00Speaker 2: goes and then she started laughing, and she goes, you
- 25:03Speaker 2: just caught me scratching my eyes. And I was like,
- 25:08Speaker 2: and I was thinking, because that's kind of like equivalent
- 25:10Speaker 2: of just hands in the pants. She had butt crack
- 25:12Speaker 2: and she scratched. That's not even that bad. No, it's
- 25:14Speaker 2: not that bad at all, But it was just it
- 25:16Speaker 2: was funny. I was like, it's funny. I would be
- 25:18Speaker 2: in two seconds earlier because she would have been deep
- 25:20Speaker 2: into it, like fake nails and all of you know.
- 25:24Speaker 2: I bet you they scratched better too. The claws oh,
- 25:28Speaker 2: we don't know the feeling.
- 25:29Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 25:30Speaker 2: No, why do men ask for snap at the ripe
- 25:34Speaker 2: age of thirty two? This is a re occurring thing.
- 25:37Speaker 1: Yeah, I think this is a call out for men.
- 25:39Speaker 1: Snapchat should stop as soon as you finished school. Yeah,
- 25:43Speaker 1: unless it's for the group chats.
- 25:45Speaker 2: Yeah, and unless Snapchat was to pay us. I'm going
- 25:48Speaker 2: to say this right now. It just should never start.
- 25:52Speaker 1: One thing I don't understand is like these Snapchat subscriptions.
- 25:55Speaker 2: Is it like only fans? No?
- 25:57Speaker 1: No, no, no, just like like you're a celebrit and
- 26:00Speaker 1: then you have some people paid to watch this. Yeah,
- 26:03Speaker 1: they get bank on Snapchat. Man, what like, have you
- 26:07Speaker 1: ever been on your Snapchat and then you got a
- 26:08Speaker 1: stories in an undernath.
- 26:09Speaker 2: Or no, you subscribe to a story so you see
- 26:11Speaker 2: someone because the stories go public, just some random guy
- 26:13Speaker 2: who's like making bank.
- 26:14Speaker 1: And then I'm like, how did he start this? How
- 26:16Speaker 1: do you become like dude?
- 26:17Speaker 2: Yeah? No, people make millions of dollars on Snapchat? Yeah,
- 26:19Speaker 2: because like the ads that go in between. There just
- 26:21Speaker 2: the concept I don't understand. I don't understand why do
- 26:25Speaker 2: people start following on Snapchat? Like, I don't get it.
- 26:27Speaker 2: They must just be really filming everything. Absolutely, we actually
- 26:35Speaker 2: were we know someone, like, we don't know them very
- 26:38Speaker 2: well that personally we met them before. I'll tell you
- 26:41Speaker 2: after you're not gonna remember who it is. But we
- 26:43Speaker 2: were told this person because we were got by old management.
- 26:46Speaker 2: We were trying to get convinced to get on Snapchat. Yeah,
- 26:48Speaker 2: because we make money and they were probably gonna try
- 26:51Speaker 2: and take some of it. Yeah, that's why they wanted
- 26:53Speaker 2: us to do it. And so they had another talent
- 26:58Speaker 2: at the same agency, and they said that this talent
- 27:01Speaker 2: was making at least six hundred bucks a week from it. Yeah, no,
- 27:04Speaker 2: that I do remember exactly, but they had to be posting.
- 27:08Speaker 2: I think it was like one hundred stories a day.
- 27:10Speaker 1: Me and Jake had this conversation and we're just like
- 27:13Speaker 1: being relatable, Like our life isn't exciting, No, Like it's
- 27:17Speaker 1: like everyone else listening. Wake up, have breakfast, do some work,
- 27:21Speaker 1: go to the gym, might record that's the exciting bit
- 27:23Speaker 1: of the week, yeah.
- 27:24Speaker 2: And then edit all week. Yeah. I'm like, what are
- 27:26Speaker 2: we going to take pictures of my food? I know,
- 27:28Speaker 2: but it's like people want to see it apparently because
- 27:30Speaker 2: I dare say that person's life wasn't all that exciting. Yeah, yeah, yeah,
- 27:33Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 27:33Speaker 1: I just feel like snaptats is taking it to that
- 27:35Speaker 1: next level when I know everyone films, I film stuff
- 27:37Speaker 1: on Instagram and slightly hypocritical.
- 27:40Speaker 2: I don't know, though, I feel like if Instagram did it,
- 27:42Speaker 2: I would actually post stories just because I don't go
- 27:44Speaker 2: on Snapchat. Something about Snapchat is just like childish and
- 27:48Speaker 2: I yeah, it's giving a bit of childish to me.
- 27:50Speaker 2: Sorry to anyone that uses it. I never maybe there
- 27:55Speaker 2: was this certain maybe like eraror of people that once
- 27:59Speaker 2: all that was rolled out, they liked it once I
- 28:04Speaker 2: wasn't on Snapchat when it rolled out or something. I
- 28:06Speaker 2: don't you know what I mean. Yeah, I understand what
- 28:08Speaker 2: you're saying. It is a bit weird.
- 28:10Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 28:10Speaker 2: I actually have one thing to bring up that's quite funny.
- 28:13Speaker 2: Oh okay, So Jake doesn't have his notifications on for Snapchat, right, Yeah,
- 28:17Speaker 2: I don't have it off for anything but text messages.
- 28:19Speaker 2: Oh that's why I only reply to text. Okay, okay, okay,
- 28:21Speaker 2: good to know. But anyway, sorry, the tactic of that
- 28:24Speaker 2: was to keep me off my phone didn't work. I
- 28:26Speaker 2: still just go on my phone.
- 28:29Speaker 1: But when I'm like editing and I need like Jake's
- 28:31Speaker 1: advice or something. I'll send him a text him being like,
- 28:34Speaker 1: go on Snapchat because it's the best platform too send
- 28:38Speaker 1: a video, send a video.
- 28:38Speaker 2: I'll give him that. Yeah, yeah, like it's good for
- 28:40Speaker 2: that anyway.
- 28:42Speaker 1: I have Snapchat notifications on, so every time I set it, Jake,
- 28:48Speaker 1: can you go watch a video? He'll reply, he reply
- 28:51Speaker 1: on Snapchat, I'll get the notification and then he will
- 28:53Speaker 1: text me and go just just send you the snap
- 28:58Speaker 1: I've never broken it to you, being like I've got
- 29:00Speaker 1: notifications on.
- 29:01Speaker 2: Do okay, listen listen, listen, listen, listen listen because some motherfucker,
- 29:06Speaker 2: because I remember, for a while, I think you didn't
- 29:11Speaker 2: know I didn't have my notifications on. Yeah, So then
- 29:13Speaker 2: you were like, why don't you ever reply? Because I
- 29:15Speaker 2: take ages? And so then I was like, start sending
- 29:19Speaker 2: me a text when you've sent me a stap chat.
- 29:21Speaker 2: And I was just trying to do the nice common
- 29:23Speaker 2: courtesy of doing it back to you of what I
- 29:24Speaker 2: was getting you to do to me, because I actually
- 29:26Speaker 2: was just fifty fifty whether or not you had them on,
- 29:28Speaker 2: and I was like, well, if he doesn't have them on,
- 29:29Speaker 2: he's not going to know I reply, so I may
- 29:31Speaker 2: as well tell them my reply. But I love saying
- 29:34Speaker 2: the double like I see Jake Craig stepshauted you there
- 29:37Speaker 2: like five seconds later, replied, so dumb, And I'm thinking
- 29:43Speaker 2: you're thinking like, oh, yeah, I'm I'm doing the right thing.
- 29:45Speaker 2: That's right.
- 29:46Speaker 1: I'm literally thinking that I'm just like this dumb motherfucker.
- 29:54Speaker 4: It.
- 29:54Speaker 2: Yeah, you go, why do men not wash their feet?
- 30:02Speaker 2: Because why would you? The soap runs down.
- 30:06Speaker 5: It does those things a chat, Okay, most humans. Yeah,
- 30:14Speaker 5: if you're not in a house, you're wearing shoes, socks
- 30:17Speaker 5: and shoes, might I add, yeah, yeah.
- 30:19Speaker 2: Most of the time, my feet don't get dirty.
- 30:22Speaker 1: Yeah, we're not raw dogging it all right.
- 30:24Speaker 2: And also the only things I scrub is the upper
- 30:27Speaker 2: parts because that's where Beth or someone made brush shoulders
- 30:30Speaker 2: with me.
- 30:31Speaker 1: Is that why you do it?
- 30:34Speaker 2: Not for your own smell? No, I don't smell myself.
- 30:37Speaker 2: Everyone's always blind to their own smell.
- 30:39Speaker 1: Let's break this down with some frontal lobe development. Yeah,
- 30:42Speaker 1: like the water runs down so it hits your feet,
- 30:45Speaker 1: but also the water pools a little bit at the
- 30:47Speaker 1: bottom of the shower that soaps. Yeah, do my little
- 30:50Speaker 1: bath bomb type thing at the bottom.
- 30:52Speaker 2: My new shower is one of the bath showers. Am
- 30:54Speaker 2: I gonna lie?
- 30:55Speaker 1: That's got a notch in it exactly more waters just
- 30:57Speaker 1: sitting there.
- 30:58Speaker 2: I don't rate it. I prefer to the other type
- 31:00Speaker 2: of shower. But yes, you have to like step over
- 31:03Speaker 2: it too. Yes, but naked like a cold day, it
- 31:10Speaker 2: doesn't even hang down. I remember when Cassie lived in Sydney,
- 31:15Speaker 2: she had she had a bath one and I had to.
- 31:17Speaker 2: I had to.
- 31:17Speaker 1: I was button naked. You'd step over it and then
- 31:20Speaker 1: my head wouldn't fit under it, So I'm like half
- 31:23Speaker 1: squatting to get my head. I'm like if someone walked
- 31:26Speaker 1: in on here, I'm such an ick.
- 31:28Speaker 2: The only thing good about mine is that you can
- 31:31Speaker 2: customize the high. Yeah, so it is good. Why do
- 31:35Speaker 2: men have the longest, prettiest eyelashes for no reason? I've
- 31:39Speaker 2: been told that same. I can't do anything about it. Audacity.
- 31:42Speaker 2: The game's game, and the game is I'm lucky, all right?
- 31:46Speaker 1: Why do men pretend like they're not in love?
- 31:50Speaker 2: Good question, really good question. We don't have the answer,
- 31:53Speaker 2: Actually don't have the answer. I feel like maybe because
- 31:55Speaker 2: we're scared of our feelings. Yeah. I think if that's
- 32:01Speaker 2: the answer, I think I hate it. Now I've got it.
- 32:04Speaker 2: It's because we want to be seen as nonchalant, so
- 32:07Speaker 2: we're like, oh no, I don't like you. It's a
- 32:09Speaker 2: good point. Yeah, we want to be cool. It's a
- 32:11Speaker 2: good point. We're showing emotion. Men think is out of
- 32:14Speaker 2: a game. Yeah, it's part of it's because it's part
- 32:17Speaker 2: of the game, part of the chase. It's how we
- 32:18Speaker 2: keep you interested. Yeah. I mean we're not us, which
- 32:22Speaker 2: is toxic. But there we say we but it's not.
- 32:25Speaker 2: But we're pulling ourselves in that gender. Yeah, but I
- 32:28Speaker 2: swear we don't do it. Christ Yeah, why do men
- 32:31Speaker 2: hat fish?
- 32:33Speaker 4: Oh?
- 32:34Speaker 2: Do you know what this is? Yes? I pray to God.
- 32:40Speaker 1: In a couple of years, you have to start hat fishing.
- 32:43Speaker 2: Yeah yeah yeah, yeah. Is that why you wore today? Yeah?
- 32:47Speaker 2: That hairline? Hat fishing? Eh.
- 32:53Speaker 1: Imagine like a couple dates deep, you're thinking you found
- 32:56Speaker 1: the one, and then like date four or five is comfortable.
- 33:00Speaker 2: Hat comes off.
- 33:02Speaker 1: Big old devon patch. If I had a Devon, I'll
- 33:06Speaker 1: just shave everything.
- 33:07Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 33:07Speaker 1: It's capable, like you can cop a widow's peak and
- 33:09Speaker 1: just have like you can cop a widow's peak.
- 33:11Speaker 2: That's genetics. Good old Walt Goggins, Who've been seeing him
- 33:14Speaker 2: all over the place lately. Who's Goggins? Is an actor?
- 33:18Speaker 2: He's in The White Lotus.
- 33:20Speaker 1: Sounds like David Goggins, like cousin.
- 33:22Speaker 2: Or a white dude. He's also in that show that
- 33:26Speaker 2: was made off a video game, Fallout, right. Yeah, And
- 33:30Speaker 2: basically all these videos are coming out that's saying, like
- 33:34Speaker 2: what Goggins is proving that hairlines don't make you sexy,
- 33:37Speaker 2: Aura makes you sexy. This man has a he rocks
- 33:42Speaker 2: this widow's peak. It's so far back, bro, it's crazy.
- 33:46Speaker 2: At what point, like how far back until you've got
- 33:48Speaker 2: to shave it? Like how far are we're talking? I
- 33:51Speaker 2: don't know. I guess not everyone's Walt Goggins.
- 33:53Speaker 1: I'm thinking like tea bag in prison Break.
- 33:55Speaker 2: Remember him? No, it's not a good show. I've watched
- 33:57Speaker 2: it prison Break after mad Men.
- 34:01Speaker 1: Yeah, okay, okay, okay, prison Break is a show. I
- 34:03Speaker 1: wish I could watch that again, and I've never seen
- 34:04Speaker 1: any of it. That's one of the ones where like
- 34:06Speaker 1: I remember everything, I can't watch it again.
- 34:08Speaker 2: Yeah, but it's really good. I hate watching shows that
- 34:11Speaker 2: have a humongous twist in them because you can't watch
- 34:12Speaker 2: them again. That's what it is, right, Yeah, Okay, the
- 34:14Speaker 2: story devo storyline is too good that I remember it,
- 34:19Speaker 2: like it starts to fiddle out, you know, like The
- 34:21Speaker 2: Walking Dead, like the first couple of seasons, but good,
- 34:23Speaker 2: and then like it just kept going, like how is
- 34:25Speaker 2: this still going? Yeah? Prison Breakslaw did that at the end. Okay,
- 34:28Speaker 2: So yeah, it's like they do a bit of a
- 34:29Speaker 2: money grab season. They five or six money grab seasons
- 34:32Speaker 2: because people still watch it. Yeah, whereas shows about like
- 34:34Speaker 2: I haven't watched Breaking Bad yet, but apparently that one
- 34:36Speaker 2: ended perfectly.
- 34:36Speaker 1: Yeah, Breaking Bad, I reckon it's like number one on TV.
- 34:40Speaker 1: You haven't watched that either, man.
- 34:41Speaker 2: You've got to watch the first episode and it didn't
- 34:43Speaker 2: drag me in. You gotta watch it, okay, Yeah, you
- 34:45Speaker 2: got okay, Okay. Why do men round up when measuring height?
- 34:51Speaker 2: Isn't that what everyone does for That's why? Yeah, we
- 34:56Speaker 2: think everyone does it, that's why. Yeah, moving on, moving on.
- 35:01Speaker 1: Why do men get scared of commitment in their thirties?
- 35:05Speaker 2: Oh god, I know the answer, because we have birthdays
- 35:11Speaker 2: and we don't grow up, but we do age. I
- 35:16Speaker 2: got two more.
- 35:16Speaker 1: Why do men blow their nose with their hands?
- 35:19Speaker 4: Ew?
- 35:20Speaker 6: What?
- 35:22Speaker 4: No?
- 35:22Speaker 2: If I was to ever do that, I do it,
- 35:24Speaker 2: and I really let the snot like this propose not wrong,
- 35:26Speaker 2: and I don't want it to touch my hands. I
- 35:28Speaker 2: do both. And then just really, why do you do it?
- 35:31Speaker 2: Tell us convenience? I love it? Well.
- 35:33Speaker 1: I only do it when like I'm in a scenario
- 35:35Speaker 1: where I'm active and I'm going to go home and
- 35:38Speaker 1: wash myself. Like I wouldn't do it if I was
- 35:40Speaker 1: wearing these clothes, I wouldn't do it.
- 35:41Speaker 2: No, no, no, if I if you were out for
- 35:43Speaker 2: a run. Yeah, when I last it started last year
- 35:46Speaker 2: when we were both going to do the marathon and
- 35:48Speaker 2: I was running during that, I would fucking snot rock
- 35:51Speaker 2: it like a motherfucker. Yeah, let's not like joke here.
- 35:53Speaker 1: Everyone running has like done something and it's not just
- 35:56Speaker 1: like sat on your side of your face, yeah.
- 35:59Speaker 2: Or your mouth has gotten all that really and it
- 36:02Speaker 2: goes and it is right across your face and it's
- 36:05Speaker 2: like a spider man's web and you're just like trying
- 36:07Speaker 2: to get it off you. It doesn't work, all right,
- 36:09Speaker 2: my last one. Why do men full stop? So many
- 36:15Speaker 2: people said that, they were like, that's just it, that's
- 36:17Speaker 2: why do men deimately? Why do they? Okay, everybody, this
- 36:29Speaker 2: is super exciting. Welcome to the Relatables Daddies book Club.
- 36:36Speaker 3: Oh yeah, welcome to Relatables book Club, where we will
- 36:43Speaker 3: buck on a journey reading some of the finest pieces
- 36:47Speaker 3: of literature.
- 36:48Speaker 2: If you have ever laid eyes by is if that's
- 36:51Speaker 2: your preferred way to consume a book on, Yeah, how
- 37:00Speaker 2: did you make that? How the fun did you make that?
- 37:02Speaker 4: Secrets?
- 37:03Speaker 2: I know you obviously did it like audition or something
- 37:05Speaker 2: or garage?
- 37:06Speaker 4: Ben? Yeah?
- 37:08Speaker 2: Do I want to know? So?
- 37:12Speaker 7: I just thought I thought this is this For some reason,
- 37:15Speaker 7: this segment new segment of Relatables about his book club
- 37:19Speaker 7: is hands down the most excited Evince for a segment
- 37:21Speaker 7: since Dilemmas.
- 37:23Speaker 2: All right, and I thought, we need a proper opening. Now, yeah,
- 37:28Speaker 2: that doesn't have to be it. I just was going
- 37:29Speaker 2: to come week to week. No, let's go. That's the
- 37:33Speaker 2: opening of Relatables Batty book Club. Why'd you like it?
- 37:38Speaker 6: I was, so?
- 37:38Speaker 1: Should I add at the end of it, a court
- 37:40Speaker 1: of thorns and roses? Yeah, we can make a new
- 37:42Speaker 1: each time, we'll keep that and then each time the books. Yeah,
- 37:45Speaker 1: the book we're reading, and maybe like the chapter, so
- 37:47Speaker 1: we read three chapters guys.
- 37:49Speaker 2: A Court of Thorns and Roses by Sarah j. Mass. Yeah,
- 37:52Speaker 2: three chapters deep. I like to call us Sarah Jane Mass.
- 37:54Speaker 2: Now I'm on first term basis. Yeah, okay, so far. Quickly,
- 37:58Speaker 2: I want to add, what do you think of the
- 38:01Speaker 2: first three episodes? Because I wrote notes? I wrote notes,
- 38:03Speaker 2: I did mine, none as long as yours. I've got
- 38:06Speaker 2: like five words, okay, okay. Initial impressions, I want to say,
- 38:11Speaker 2: I've never read a book like this neither. It was
- 38:14Speaker 2: a little bit hard to get into because the dialogue
- 38:17Speaker 2: was fucking descriptive, okay, and then after a little bit,
- 38:20Speaker 2: I'm like, because we have to do it for relatables,
- 38:21Speaker 2: I was like, yeah, let's get into this sin the groove.
- 38:23Speaker 2: And I had to really like conceptualize the characters in
- 38:26Speaker 2: my head. And I really got into it, and I'm
- 38:28Speaker 2: liking it. I do have a few thoughts, but first impressions,
- 38:34Speaker 2: I'm like, Okay, this is new to me, but I'm intrigued. Yeah,
- 38:38Speaker 2: that's the best way to put it. Same I'm intrigued.
- 38:40Speaker 2: I don't know. I think right off the bat, my
- 38:43Speaker 2: mindset was like, this is for the podcast, Yeah, so
- 38:47Speaker 2: I want to be into it, so when we talk
- 38:50Speaker 2: about it, I'm into it.
- 38:50Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 38:51Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 38:51Speaker 2: And so from just from the get go, I was like,
- 38:52Speaker 2: this book's the best book I've ever ever read. Before
- 38:54Speaker 2: I opened it, I was like, this is going to
- 38:55Speaker 2: be the best book I've ever read, and so so
- 38:57Speaker 2: far I'm loving it. Okay, Okay, I wrote down all
- 39:00Speaker 2: these notes, and this is more. These notes is just
- 39:03Speaker 2: kind of like what we know so far, and I
- 39:05Speaker 2: thought it might just help us both to talk about. Okay,
- 39:08Speaker 2: so a Court of Thorns and Roses it is in
- 39:12Speaker 2: this world. They live on a continent that consists of
- 39:16Speaker 2: the Prithian and then also the Mortal Lands. Centuries ago,
- 39:21Speaker 2: the High Fay of Prithian used the mortals of the
- 39:24Speaker 2: Mortal Lands as slave labor until a war broke out
- 39:28Speaker 2: and was only stopped once an invisible wall was placed
- 39:30Speaker 2: between between Prithian and the Mortal Lands and a treaty
- 39:33Speaker 2: was made. Now, the mortals that we know so far, yes,
- 39:37Speaker 2: is the main character? Is it Favra or Freyer? I
- 39:41Speaker 2: think it's frey Ra.
- 39:43Speaker 1: I don't mind calling her Favra.
- 39:45Speaker 2: She's the youngest daughter of three, the only real provider
- 39:50Speaker 2: for her father and two sisters. She doesn't hate her sisters,
- 39:53Speaker 2: but I get the sense that she's a little jealous
- 39:55Speaker 2: of them.
- 39:56Speaker 1: Oh, I wasn't gonna say jealous. I thought the rest
- 39:59Speaker 1: of her family getting a free ride.
- 40:02Speaker 2: Yeah. See, you know, tell me, I'm going to say
- 40:04Speaker 2: this because I wrote, like, what I kind of think?
- 40:05Speaker 2: You told me what you think after I said, so
- 40:07Speaker 2: that's what I think of of favor. Yeah. Is that
- 40:09Speaker 2: so she's the provider? Yeah, and that I get the
- 40:13Speaker 2: sense that because she she talks about things that her
- 40:15Speaker 2: sisters do that annoy her, but she's not once hated them.
- 40:20Speaker 2: She's never once like she has said, I'm keen ads
- 40:24Speaker 2: for them to be married off.
- 40:25Speaker 1: But but to me, it sounded like she was doing
- 40:28Speaker 1: it out of guilt because her mom died. Oh yeah,
- 40:32Speaker 1: her mom made her her mom promise, made her promise
- 40:35Speaker 1: to provide for the family, even though she's not the
- 40:37Speaker 1: eldest daughter. And then she's like doing it because she
- 40:40Speaker 1: made that promise to her mum who's died. But then
- 40:43Speaker 1: like the back of her head she's like, these girls
- 40:45Speaker 1: are bitches.
- 40:45Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, okay, Okay, that's how I dook it. Yeah,
- 40:48Speaker 2: and you're not wrong, Yeah, you are not wrong.
- 40:50Speaker 1: And then the dad's just like got a broken knee
- 40:53Speaker 1: and isn't able to do anything exactly.
- 40:54Speaker 2: Yeah. So Elaine is the middle daughter of three. She
- 40:58Speaker 2: seems to be a real girly girl who is always
- 41:01Speaker 2: cheery and in denial about the fact that they are
- 41:06Speaker 2: poor and.
- 41:07Speaker 1: Apparently they're poor, poor, poor. What they kept saying like
- 41:10Speaker 1: iron something they used to have. I didn't understand what
- 41:13Speaker 1: that is.
- 41:13Speaker 2: I don't know what it was, but it was like
- 41:15Speaker 2: iron jewelry. Yeah, I didn't. And so the reason people
- 41:18Speaker 2: where iron jewelry is too apparently the Faiary and the
- 41:25Speaker 2: high Fay don't like it. But it's all kind of
- 41:27Speaker 2: a myth, right yeah, Nesta, Yes, the oldest of three
- 41:31Speaker 2: honestly just kind of a bitch. And yeah, it's I'm
- 41:34Speaker 2: getting it. She's just a bitch. Yeah. The sisters both
- 41:36Speaker 2: were a bit and she I reckon, she's jealous of
- 41:39Speaker 2: Fate roll Yeah. Yeah. The father, I don't think they've
- 41:42Speaker 2: said his name. I didn't take it into it. If
- 41:45Speaker 2: they did, I said, I'm not sure they've mentioned his name.
- 41:48Speaker 2: He has a bad knee and signed an it kind
- 41:50Speaker 2: of just sounds useless because he used to be pretty rich.
- 41:53Speaker 1: Yeah, and so what I didn't get is like someone
- 41:57Speaker 1: came into the house and then it was it's like
- 42:00Speaker 1: debt collectors, but like they didn't explain what the debt was,
- 42:02Speaker 1: and then they didn't have the money, so they just
- 42:04Speaker 1: broke his knee and then it took like two years
- 42:06Speaker 1: to recover. And now he kind of even walked like
- 42:07Speaker 1: past the k Yeah, yeah, he still can't. Yeah, he's
- 42:09Speaker 1: just fuck Yeah, he's just fun. And the cold weather.
- 42:11Speaker 2: They're in winter now, and apparently the cold weather just
- 42:13Speaker 2: like makes it flair up. Yeah, Okay. And then Isaac
- 42:17Speaker 2: is that the one she slept with. Yeah, so Isaac
- 42:21Speaker 2: is Faara's secret lover and he has just gotten married. Yeah.
- 42:25Speaker 2: Getting the vibes that he's kind of hot but nerdy
- 42:28Speaker 2: at the same time, he's the son of a decently successful,
- 42:31Speaker 2: successful local farmer. I got the vibe that.
- 42:37Speaker 1: What's his name, Isaac, Isaac and Farah are going to
- 42:40Speaker 1: sleep together and they're going to cheat. I think what
- 42:43Speaker 1: the vibe I get in the near the end of
- 42:45Speaker 1: the last chapter was that when they were in the
- 42:50Speaker 1: village and she saw Isaac from a distance, she said
- 42:54Speaker 1: something like he we don't try and fully hide our loving,
- 42:59Speaker 1: but we do try to keep it discreet.
- 43:01Speaker 2: Yeah, And so then he goes. She goes like he
- 43:06Speaker 2: kind of does a nod and walks into this empty barn,
- 43:09Speaker 2: and then she says to her sisters like, I'll see
- 43:11Speaker 2: you at home. So I think they did go fuck
- 43:13Speaker 2: at the end of the team, I think they go upset.
- 43:15Speaker 2: And then at that the last paragraph is her saying,
- 43:20Speaker 2: just at home, sitting around the fire, because now they're
- 43:22Speaker 2: back home.
- 43:23Speaker 1: I took it as Isaac was going to get married.
- 43:25Speaker 1: He's not married yet, and I don't know if they're
- 43:28Speaker 1: if engagement is a thing. Yes, So he's like, because
- 43:30Speaker 1: they do like families, like I'm going to marry Jake's
- 43:33Speaker 1: family because he has good sheep.
- 43:34Speaker 2: Yes. Yeah. And so Nesta the bitch sister has a
- 43:38Speaker 2: boyfriend is a wood blogger. Apparently he's the woodcutter's son
- 43:42Speaker 2: and is apparently going to propose to Nesta. But Fayer
- 43:47Speaker 2: is kind of like, bitch, you have nothing to work
- 43:49Speaker 2: for his family. He is not going to propose to you.
- 43:51Speaker 2: He's just leading you on.
- 43:52Speaker 1: Yeah, No, he just wants that because she's apparently hot. Yeah,
- 43:55Speaker 1: she's supposed to be good looking. They want that pussy, Yeah,
- 43:57Speaker 1: he wants that's what the sister. The game is the
- 44:00Speaker 1: game in this book apparently, yeah, I know. And okay, okay,
- 44:03Speaker 1: So initial impressions, I liked it.
- 44:06Speaker 2: I liked it. I liked it. Very mystical, magical. Yeah,
- 44:09Speaker 2: I have two more. Okay, so I'll read. So that
- 44:11Speaker 2: was the Mortals and of the Perthian. This is what
- 44:14Speaker 2: we know. Who exists is the High Fae. Not much
- 44:17Speaker 2: said yet except that they're evil wheeled, magic, are unkillable,
- 44:22Speaker 2: and pretty much just beast all around.
- 44:23Speaker 1: With the High Fray, they have that like magical barrier
- 44:26Speaker 1: so that the Mercenary was talking about it.
- 44:27Speaker 2: They're north of that war. And then also the the
- 44:31Speaker 2: Faiye I believe, or the Fairy. They're monsters that live
- 44:35Speaker 2: above the wall. Seemingly the pets of the High pay
- 44:38Speaker 2: very very hard to kill now I believe far at
- 44:46Speaker 2: the start of the book, when she kills that wolf,
- 44:49Speaker 2: it was a That's what I'm thinking we're going to
- 44:51Speaker 2: get into. Okay, okay, okay, so I think Freira, you
- 44:56Speaker 2: know how she just sold the wool pelts and wolf
- 45:00Speaker 2: and deer skin to the mercenary, the mercenary that beats
- 45:04Speaker 2: of a cheek with like scars. I think Freyer is
- 45:06Speaker 2: going to become a mercenary. That's my prediction. That, Yeah,
- 45:11Speaker 2: that's what I think.
- 45:11Speaker 1: And then she's like, I don't know, do they hunt
- 45:13Speaker 1: those magical mystical beings?
- 45:16Speaker 2: M Maybe that's my prediction.
- 45:18Speaker 1: Okay, but I don't know how she's gonna provide.
- 45:20Speaker 2: For the family while doing that. Maybe she's gonna sunk off.
- 45:24Speaker 2: Wouldn't blame her seriously?
- 45:29Speaker 1: Yeah, I also, okay, I'm going sharp left turn.
- 45:34Speaker 2: I reckon Freyer. I might have some same sex like
- 45:36Speaker 2: funny business in this. Oh okay, you don't do some exploring.
- 45:40Speaker 2: I like it.
- 45:41Speaker 1: I like what I'm here, and I love it all
- 45:43Speaker 1: the way she described the mercenary like the skin.
- 45:46Speaker 2: Tone described the mercenary like it was turning her on. Yeah,
- 45:49Speaker 2: the shade.
- 45:49Speaker 1: I was like, I was like, why are you?
- 45:54Speaker 2: But then she went and had sex with Isaac or
- 45:56Speaker 2: and she's also atted to it. She's like the same,
- 45:59Speaker 2: she could be by, she could be by. She's also
- 46:02Speaker 2: she's the main provider for her family. She goes out
- 46:04Speaker 2: and hunts, She goes out and sells the pelts, the
- 46:07Speaker 2: animal pelts to get money. She does everything. Yeah, so
- 46:11Speaker 2: she's kind so like she has Maybe that's some masculine
- 46:14Speaker 2: energy as well. She's got a lot to offer. Yeah.
- 46:17Speaker 1: Wow, And maybe some men can't realize it that the women.
- 46:20Speaker 2: Would like she's hot. You never do know she's hot. Man,
- 46:24Speaker 2: I'm not gonna lie. I'm like making Okay. I want
- 46:26Speaker 2: to read just for people that haven't read the book
- 46:28Speaker 2: and are thinking of reading the book. I want to
- 46:30Speaker 2: read just the last couple of words from the last
- 46:34Speaker 2: chapter that we read, last couple of words of chapter three,
- 46:36Speaker 2: which got me so keen to reach chapter four.
- 46:38Speaker 1: I was thinking about or maybe I'll read chapter four,
- 46:40Speaker 1: and like, like, I just stopped my dialogue of talking
- 46:43Speaker 1: at chapter three because the cliffhanger.
- 46:45Speaker 2: Man, it's fucking try. I just read this. Ah yeah, basic, Okay.
- 46:49Speaker 1: Get like a feel for the dialogue they're talking about.
- 46:53Speaker 2: Later, after another dinner of venison, which is dear, when
- 46:57Speaker 2: we were all gathered around the fire for the quiet
- 47:00Speaker 2: hour before bed, I watched my sisters whispering and laughing together.
- 47:04Speaker 2: They'd spent every copper I'd given them on what I
- 47:07Speaker 2: didn't know though. Elaine had brought back a new chisel
- 47:10Speaker 2: for our father's wood carving. The cloak and boots they'd
- 47:13Speaker 2: wind about the night before had been too expensive, but
- 47:16Speaker 2: I hadn't scolded them for it, not when Nesta went
- 47:18Speaker 2: out a second time to chop wood without my asking. Mercifully,
- 47:23Speaker 2: they avoided another confrontation with the children of the bless,
- 47:26Speaker 2: which we should say something about. After this, my father
- 47:29Speaker 2: was dozing in his armchair, his cane laid across his
- 47:32Speaker 2: gnarled knee. As good a time as any to broach
- 47:35Speaker 2: the subject of Thomas Mandry with Nesta. I turned to her,
- 47:39Speaker 2: opening my mouth, but there was a roar that half
- 47:42Speaker 2: deafened me, and my sisters screamed as snow burst into
- 47:46Speaker 2: the room and an enormous growling shape appeared in the doorway.
- 47:51Speaker 2: That's the end of chapter three, guys. The shame is
- 47:53Speaker 2: never fucking creepy. That's why I think she killed a
- 47:56Speaker 2: Fayory and like his mates are coming to get her
- 47:59Speaker 2: for it. Was going to say, is it that mercenary
- 48:01Speaker 2: chick coming back? Oh shit, is she that much of
- 48:04Speaker 2: a beast though, she's.
- 48:05Speaker 1: Going to come back a bill or is she I
- 48:07Speaker 1: want to teach.
- 48:07Speaker 2: You, is she a high Fai and their magic? Maybe?
- 48:10Speaker 1: Or so you want to talk about those kids who
- 48:12Speaker 1: are like so, yeah, what are they called?
- 48:14Speaker 2: The children of the Blessed? It's kind of like a
- 48:17Speaker 2: real word situation in this village. There's these there's a
- 48:19Speaker 2: cult like.
- 48:20Speaker 1: It's it's quite hard to conceptualize all the different terminologies.
- 48:23Speaker 1: In the start, I will say that, like only three
- 48:25Speaker 1: chapters in, I'm sure I'll get a swing of it.
- 48:27Speaker 1: Oh yeah, but yeah, they seemed annoying and like they're
- 48:29Speaker 1: trying to persuade people that the high Fay are actually good.
- 48:33Speaker 1: Yeah yeah, yeah, and you can like worship ship them
- 48:36Speaker 1: like gods or something.
- 48:37Speaker 2: Yeah yeah. And they were like we sent our cousin
- 48:39Speaker 2: to the wall and she never returned. She is the
- 48:41Speaker 2: bride of one of the high Fay, and one of
- 48:43Speaker 2: them is like, bitch, she just got eaten. Yeah. That
- 48:46Speaker 2: was the one moment I liked. One of the sisters. Yeah,
- 48:48Speaker 2: say yeah, they were like she's dead, make have some sense.
- 48:51Speaker 1: It's funny because it's obviously like written as though it's
- 48:55Speaker 1: like I don't know, seventeen or eighteen hundreds. Yeah, but
- 48:57Speaker 1: then also some of the dialogues like this, yeah, yeah,
- 49:00Speaker 1: it's just chilling.
- 49:01Speaker 2: Yeah, it's chilling. It's kind of funny, like bit she's dead. Yeah,
- 49:04Speaker 2: and so Thomas Mandre that name I just said he was,
- 49:07Speaker 2: he's the woodcutter sun so far was going to ask
- 49:09Speaker 2: her something about that, but then we were interrupted. Okay,
- 49:12Speaker 2: so for next episode, Okay, yeah, how many things I
- 49:17Speaker 2: read them? Quick?
- 49:18Speaker 1: How many chapters do you want? Five or ten?
- 49:22Speaker 2: Let's do ten? Ten chapters? Let's do ten? And what
- 49:25Speaker 2: we need to do though after each chapter is actually no,
- 49:30Speaker 2: let's do this because I think we need to do
- 49:32Speaker 2: something to stay on top of it is let's do
- 49:34Speaker 2: seven chapters. Okay, just one a day basically, right, So
- 49:38Speaker 2: should we do if we do one tonight and then
- 49:41Speaker 2: up until to make it day night, just do ten? Okay,
- 49:45Speaker 2: we'll do ten chapters. After each chapter or after like
- 49:49Speaker 2: every two chapters or something, we need to just write
- 49:51Speaker 2: a couple of notes, some notes. It's a good idea,
- 49:53Speaker 2: just so we can stay on top of it in
- 49:54Speaker 2: our head. Yeah, because we'll read a fair bit of stuff.
- 49:56Speaker 2: So I saw a lot of comments that were like,
- 49:58Speaker 2: I'm gonna read with you. So, yes, next episode will
- 50:02Speaker 2: be up to chapter thirteen. Yes, we will, we will
- 50:04Speaker 2: be okay, yeah, I ready listen, we will be up
- 50:06Speaker 2: to chapter thirteen next episode. Stay tuned that his book
- 50:09Speaker 2: club what do you do to Stott? Has stopped like
- 50:11Speaker 2: a book closed the book? Do you want me to?
- 50:13Speaker 4: Oh?
- 50:13Speaker 2: Yeah? Wow? What a good chapter?
- 50:20Speaker 4: Where did Jake go? Let me call him?
- 50:32Speaker 1: Your call has been he did not just hang up
- 50:35Speaker 1: on me. Let me call him again? What the where
- 50:41Speaker 1: are you? Where'd you go?
- 50:43Speaker 2: I'm just out of the airbnb. What do you mean
- 50:45Speaker 2: the airbnb? Sorry I didn't tell you. I booked a
- 50:49Speaker 2: guest favorite Airbnb last minute. Couldn't pass it up. You're
- 50:52Speaker 2: all good to finish the episode, right? What's a guest favorite?
- 50:55Speaker 2: Their airbnb? Is that other guests of love? So you
- 50:58Speaker 2: know you will too? Well? That sounds fun. Where are
- 51:00Speaker 2: you anyway? Just a couple hours of the code and
- 51:02Speaker 2: yeah it is fun.
- 51:04Speaker 7: Our place has a pool, a big garden.
- 51:06Speaker 2: Two bedrooms, is right near the beach. Plus it allows
- 51:10Speaker 2: dogs for Henry. Did you say two bedrooms anyway? Mate?
- 51:14Speaker 2: Got to run out Mummy aka Awkwards. I have a
- 51:24Speaker 2: deep segment. It's been a minute. It's been seven minutes, mate,
- 51:29Speaker 2: all right, if one minute is a week, it's been
- 51:32Speaker 2: seven minutes. All right. Pause? Oh you all right? Man,
- 51:35Speaker 2: just gotta ask that. I am good, Yeah, yeah, okay,
- 51:38Speaker 2: I am good. And I liked what I saw, Okay,
- 51:42Speaker 2: what I found? What I heard? What'd you find on
- 51:45Speaker 2: the radio? I saw a thing that said it was
- 51:50Speaker 2: titled relationship stuff. You're getting wrong because of dumb TikTok influences. Okay,
- 51:55Speaker 2: I like that. So they give a statement and then
- 52:02Speaker 2: they contradict said statement, right, okay, And what I wanted
- 52:05Speaker 2: to do was read them have a quick chat about
- 52:07Speaker 2: cheap one and each one and see if we excuse me,
- 52:09Speaker 2: I agree with it. Okay, Hey, when you gotta go,
- 52:13Speaker 2: you gotta go.
- 52:13Speaker 1: You're getting too comfortable on the pod. Last Patreon, you're farted,
- 52:17Speaker 1: now you're burket what's next?
- 52:19Speaker 2: Mate? I would like to add, you're going to be
- 52:20Speaker 2: pitching and rolling soon. I've definitely already done that.
- 52:24Speaker 1: I've definitely consciously do what I mean.
- 52:27Speaker 2: I would like to add to Patren last week that
- 52:30Speaker 2: that fart was added in by body. I did fart,
- 52:33Speaker 2: but it was silent. It was not.
- 52:36Speaker 1: You know when you're like driving home and somehow you
- 52:39Speaker 1: just like end up home and you don't remember any
- 52:41Speaker 1: of the trip. Me inserting that fart was the same concept.
- 52:45Speaker 2: You had to actively think of doing it. No, no, no, no,
- 52:47Speaker 2: this is my natural instinct. You're always inserting fart. No,
- 52:50Speaker 2: just it felt me. It felt right. And you're going
- 52:53Speaker 2: to be funny to listen to an episode where just
- 52:55Speaker 2: every now and then a little fart noise came up
- 52:57Speaker 2: and you were just like, what is that real or not?
- 52:59Speaker 1: Which one was to do an episode like fake fart
- 53:02Speaker 1: Counter and itever gets it right, like.
- 53:04Speaker 2: They win something win first person to comment the right answer,
- 53:09Speaker 2: and we're not going to tell you which episode it is.
- 53:11Speaker 1: Okay, deep Sorry.
- 53:15Speaker 2: Yeah, deep body. So relationship stuff you're getting wrong because
- 53:20Speaker 2: of dumb TikTok influences. They should love you unconditionally, Okay,
- 53:28Speaker 2: they said, no, baby, adult love is conditional, and unless
- 53:32Speaker 2: you are their parent, mess up and keep messing up
- 53:35Speaker 2: and be ready to lose them. No one has to
- 53:38Speaker 2: be with you and you don't have to be with them.
- 53:41Speaker 1: I really like that, Like unconditionally implies that I can
- 53:46Speaker 1: do no wrong. Yeah, whereas people can definitely do things wrong.
- 53:50Speaker 2: Exactly, Like you got to think of you know, like,
- 53:52Speaker 2: let's say your brother you love him unconditionally. Yeah, if
- 53:57Speaker 2: he cheated, god forbid, cheated on his girlfriend, going to
- 54:00Speaker 2: not love your brother anymore for it? No, my brother,
- 54:03Speaker 2: he's still your brother. Yeah, but if your partner did that,
- 54:05Speaker 2: if your partner cheats on you, you don't keep loving them.
- 54:08Speaker 3: No.
- 54:08Speaker 2: Kind of weird to say someone would think unconditional love
- 54:11Speaker 2: is if I've never thought about that either, that's good.
- 54:13Speaker 2: I like that. Yeah, that makes a lot of sense,
- 54:15Speaker 2: it does. Yeah, I mean that you would let them
- 54:16Speaker 2: get a little way with a lot of stuff though.
- 54:18Speaker 1: Oh yeah, yeah, yeah, I think there's like a good
- 54:20Speaker 1: point to catch yourself out where you're like, is this
- 54:24Speaker 1: something I should bring up? Like how do you phrase this?
- 54:29Speaker 1: Like I feel like in relationships you like kind of
- 54:33Speaker 1: oh where am my god with this brain?
- 54:35Speaker 2: Here we go frontal lobe come on picking and choosing
- 54:38Speaker 2: what to bring up and like have a tough conversation
- 54:39Speaker 2: about is that what you mean? Yeah?
- 54:41Speaker 1: Yeah, And sometimes you're like, because I love you, I
- 54:43Speaker 1: won't bring this up. Yeah, but in reality you should
- 54:46Speaker 1: bring it up no matter what.
- 54:47Speaker 2: Yes, agreed, Yeah, agreed. Yeah, that's something that I've admitted
- 54:50Speaker 2: to working on. Yeah, I'm getting good at it. Next
- 54:54Speaker 2: one is true love will be easy. That's the statement
- 54:58Speaker 2: who says that. I think a lot of people do
- 55:02Speaker 2: think that if it's the right person, it will be easy.
- 55:04Speaker 1: I think love is the hardest thing to juggle ever. Fact,
- 55:07Speaker 1: that's why it's the best emotion because when it works,
- 55:09Speaker 1: it works.
- 55:10Speaker 2: Every human is complex and has different experiences. Love shouldn't
- 55:15Speaker 2: be so hard that it ruins your life or mental health,
- 55:17Speaker 2: but it will consist of hard times and you having
- 55:19Speaker 2: to work together to create something beautiful one hundred percent.
- 55:23Speaker 2: And I think although a lot of people.
- 55:27Speaker 1: Aren't in said scenario, when two children of parents who
- 55:32Speaker 1: are still together start dating, I think they are in
- 55:36Speaker 1: is obviously best case scenario, the best position to make
- 55:39Speaker 1: love work, because they've seen so much hardship, but at
- 55:42Speaker 1: the end of the day, their parents still come together
- 55:44Speaker 1: and they still love each other, whereas you can't change
- 55:48Speaker 1: whatever happened to your parents, obviously, No, But like you,
- 55:51Speaker 1: for example, you've seen two people fight to a point
- 55:54Speaker 1: where they gave up. Yeah, yeah, yeah, Well I've never
- 55:57Speaker 1: seen that they gave up on their lives.
- 55:59Speaker 2: No fair, I understand. I remember, so I don't remember
- 56:02Speaker 2: my parents' divorce. I do though my mom's second marriage.
- 56:05Speaker 2: She's still with my stepdad, but I have seen them
- 56:08Speaker 2: have a lot of issues, and then also seeing that
- 56:11Speaker 2: and then the added issue of actually being a child
- 56:13Speaker 2: of divorce always made or just like I phrases, was
- 56:19Speaker 2: just like, oh, marriage just sounds like too much.
- 56:22Speaker 1: Yeah, whereas me opposite end of the spectrum, like I've
- 56:25Speaker 1: obviously seen my parents fight and bicker and do all
- 56:28Speaker 1: that shit, but the next day or the next week,
- 56:32Speaker 1: they resolve the problem.
- 56:33Speaker 2: Yeah, I don't know how they did it. No, he
- 56:35Speaker 2: I was the actually they did it. I wanted to
- 56:37Speaker 2: ask you, when you're older, you're married, and you have kids,
- 56:43Speaker 2: if you and your wife are having a fight or
- 56:45Speaker 2: an argument, because it happens all the time, you know,
- 56:47Speaker 2: like at least once a week, Beth and I will
- 56:50Speaker 2: have an argument about something that is then resolved within
- 56:53Speaker 2: ten minutes. But it happens all the time. Put the
- 56:56Speaker 2: seat down something like that all the time. Yeah, and
- 57:02Speaker 2: so you're gonna go You're gonna have so many just
- 57:04Speaker 2: little love tips with your partner. Do you want to
- 57:07Speaker 2: do it where it starts in front of your kids,
- 57:11Speaker 2: and you would move it elsewhere because one of them.
- 57:13Speaker 2: Should you have an argument in front of your children
- 57:16Speaker 2: and then maybe move it away, But then be like, Okay,
- 57:19Speaker 2: me and your mum had a fight. Sorry, you had
- 57:21Speaker 2: to see the start of that. Here's what happened, here's
- 57:24Speaker 2: how we resolved it. Like, do you reckon? That's a
- 57:27Speaker 2: good way to do it. Definitely, that's an approach I
- 57:30Speaker 2: think would deem to be healthy. Yeah.
- 57:32Speaker 1: I think if you're smart enough to recognize that when
- 57:37Speaker 1: you're fighting, pause, let's go solve this behind closed doors
- 57:42Speaker 1: and then explain to the kids what happened.
- 57:43Speaker 2: I think that's really healthy. Yeah. But in reality, when
- 57:47Speaker 2: you're in the heat of the moment, you fucking did this,
- 57:50Speaker 2: you did that, and your kids just there you don't
- 57:51Speaker 2: give a fuck. Yeah, but I think that's a great
- 57:53Speaker 2: tip if you can do it, If you can do it, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah,
- 57:56Speaker 2: you gotta be healthy enough, all right. Next one, Love
- 58:01Speaker 2: is a feeling. What do you think I'll tell you
- 58:06Speaker 2: the contradiction this This person said, No, it's a considered
- 58:11Speaker 2: action taken daily that you choose to do. Don't choose
- 58:15Speaker 2: it and you lose the love butterflies are simply hormones
- 58:18Speaker 2: being triggered that will not last forever.
- 58:21Speaker 1: Okay, that one I think is a mixture of both. Like,
- 58:26Speaker 1: if you want to get scientific, I agree with that, true. Yeah,
- 58:29Speaker 1: But if you want to believe in love, I think
- 58:31Speaker 1: it's a feeling.
- 58:32Speaker 2: Yeah. Same. Mostly I have times where I maybe I'm
- 58:36Speaker 2: alone and the realization that I miss Beth is like,
- 58:39Speaker 2: oh I love her, yeah yeah, And I feel like
- 58:41Speaker 2: it's a feeling. Yeah.
- 58:42Speaker 1: But there's definitely like moments in time where you have
- 58:44Speaker 1: to consciously make decision to be in love, which makes
- 58:49Speaker 1: sense because love technically is work.
- 58:51Speaker 2: Yeah, you have to, like it's not a big thing,
- 58:54Speaker 2: but you want to You want to remember to maybe
- 58:56Speaker 2: open the door for you want to remember to tell
- 58:58Speaker 2: her that she looks beautiful or that he looks handsome.
- 58:59Speaker 2: You want it's easy to forget to do those things.
- 59:02Speaker 2: You need to remember to give them a kiss each
- 59:04Speaker 2: time you see them. You need to remember to book
- 59:05Speaker 2: dates because it's so easy to especially once you start
- 59:08Speaker 2: living together. Best and I I haven't really been and
- 59:10Speaker 2: we've been on we have no even been on dates
- 59:12Speaker 2: since you're moving together. I want to get into that's
- 59:14Speaker 2: called housemate theory. But also it's funny.
- 59:17Speaker 1: How you just described how you view love and the
- 59:21Speaker 1: actions that like scientifically are backed behind love. Yeah, but
- 59:26Speaker 1: other men, everything you just described wouldn't be their version
- 59:29Speaker 1: of love really well. Yeah, like heaps of men would
- 59:32Speaker 1: just be like, oh, we're in love now. That just
- 59:33Speaker 1: means like that's.
- 59:34Speaker 2: It, Like I provide for you, Yeah, like I might
- 59:37Speaker 2: take it to the pub every once in a while. Yeah,
- 59:39Speaker 2: but all that shit that's just like must be nice
- 59:41Speaker 2: to a lot of people.
- 59:42Speaker 1: Interesting, Like that's your version of love, which I agree with. Interesting, Yeah,
- 59:45Speaker 1: But a lot of men they're versions of love which
- 59:48Speaker 1: they consciously choose to love their partner only entails, i
- 59:52Speaker 1: don't know, taking them to the pub or sex, putting
- 59:55Speaker 1: a roof over their head and sex and paying the mortgage.
- 59:59Speaker 1: Yeah that up shit, whereas yours was the actual feelings
- 1:00:03Speaker 1: involved in love?
- 1:00:04Speaker 2: Interesting, man, because that's what I like out of it.
- 1:00:07Speaker 1: So yeah, I think that's what makes it beautiful. But
- 1:00:12Speaker 1: going back to housemate theory, have you heard of this
- 1:00:15Speaker 1: kind of Yeah, Yeah, it's where like when you first
- 1:00:17Speaker 1: move in with your partner, a lot of people get
- 1:00:19Speaker 1: scared that all that like emotion and like that you
- 1:00:25Speaker 1: want to see them goes away because you're constantly with you,
- 1:00:27Speaker 1: like you wake up next to them, like you're twenty
- 1:00:29Speaker 1: four to seven, you're with them. Yeah, so how are
- 1:00:30Speaker 1: you feeling with that?
- 1:00:33Speaker 2: Oh? Good question, I do say, I freaking I love
- 1:00:37Speaker 2: being there. Housemaid theory.
- 1:00:42Speaker 4: Interesting.
- 1:00:45Speaker 2: I wonder I miss Beth when I'm not there, like
- 1:00:48Speaker 2: I miss Beth and Henry and I want to be there.
- 1:00:54Speaker 2: Maybe I'm trying to think about it right like busyness wise,
- 1:00:58Speaker 2: which isn't the greatest excuse. So we haven't been on
- 1:01:01Speaker 2: a date since we moved in together, and it's been
- 1:01:03Speaker 2: a little over a month, so maybe that's not one
- 1:01:06Speaker 2: thing I need to jump on. And then I don't
- 1:01:12Speaker 2: know we've been doing. I don't feel like a housemate yet,
- 1:01:17Speaker 2: And hopefully it never happens.
- 1:01:18Speaker 1: When you go on dates. Is it always you like, hey, Beth,
- 1:01:21Speaker 1: would you like to go on a date with me?
- 1:01:23Speaker 1: Or is it sometimes like you both sort of like
- 1:01:25Speaker 1: in a conversation and then like it's sort of like,
- 1:01:27Speaker 1: oh where'd you? And then like the next couple of days.
- 1:01:29Speaker 2: Sometimes every now and then it could be like oh
- 1:01:31Speaker 2: where do you? But quite often it would be either
- 1:01:35Speaker 2: one of us saying can I take you on a date? Yeah? Yeah,
- 1:01:39Speaker 2: it'll be like a little like special thing.
- 1:01:42Speaker 1: I always ask, But sometimes it's like where'd you? And
- 1:01:48Speaker 1: then I ask yeah.
- 1:01:49Speaker 2: It's like, wait, we've been on day for well, wait
- 1:01:51Speaker 2: do you want to go on a date. Yeah. Sometimes
- 1:01:52Speaker 2: I play around, I'm like, when are you gonna ask
- 1:01:53Speaker 2: me on a date?
- 1:01:54Speaker 4: Oh?
- 1:01:54Speaker 2: Yeah? All the time. It's definitely like ten, I do
- 1:02:02Speaker 2: that all the time. Okay's my last one? They should
- 1:02:08Speaker 2: just know and then it starts with their question do
- 1:02:13Speaker 2: you know everything? Everyone grew up differently and received love differently,
- 1:02:17Speaker 2: allows space to communicate needs and wants before you expect
- 1:02:20Speaker 2: things to just happen, hugely different from the bare minimum.
- 1:02:24Speaker 2: I love that one.
- 1:02:25Speaker 1: Actually, I think the biggest misconception about love is that
- 1:02:30Speaker 1: you should know that everything is going to be okay,
- 1:02:33Speaker 1: or you know what to do or you know how
- 1:02:35Speaker 1: to feel, where in reality, you change as the person,
- 1:02:39Speaker 1: your partner changes. She does something, you do something, the
- 1:02:42Speaker 1: world does something, and then you don't know how you
- 1:02:46Speaker 1: should be feeling.
- 1:02:47Speaker 2: No.
- 1:02:48Speaker 1: I think that like unknowingness should be more normalized, like
- 1:02:51Speaker 1: you're like, oh, whoa she like it's not doubt, but
- 1:02:54Speaker 1: it's like it's just a different feeling that you're like,
- 1:02:55Speaker 1: I don't know how to deal with this.
- 1:02:56Speaker 2: No, I agree. Yeah, I think that's a great tip. Yeah,
- 1:02:59Speaker 2: saying that they should just know. So if you're complaining
- 1:03:02Speaker 2: about something and a friend of yours goes, oh, well
- 1:03:05Speaker 2: he should just know or she should just know, I
- 1:03:08Speaker 2: would just be like, shut the fuck up. How are
- 1:03:09Speaker 2: they supposed to know? I haven't told them yet? Yeah yeah, yeah,
- 1:03:11Speaker 2: how are they supposed to know? They're not. No one
- 1:03:13Speaker 2: can be to read your mind.
- 1:03:14Speaker 1: And I also think it's like somewhat healthy to like
- 1:03:18Speaker 1: second guest things in your relationship. Yeah, that's like human nature.
- 1:03:22Speaker 2: Second guess everything.
- 1:03:23Speaker 1: Yeah yeah, and if you just like just know that,
- 1:03:25Speaker 1: like that's fine. Like it's like not trusting your guard.
- 1:03:29Speaker 2: It's a weird way to put it. But a relationship
- 1:03:31Speaker 2: is kind of like a business deal. Yeah yeah, yeah,
- 1:03:33Speaker 2: you know what I mean. Like, if you had a
- 1:03:34Speaker 2: business and a big, old fat deal came up, you'd
- 1:03:36Speaker 2: be thinking about every single aspect of it. You'd second
- 1:03:39Speaker 2: guess it.
- 1:03:39Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 1:03:40Speaker 1: Yeah, I think that's healthy too, human nature. And then
- 1:03:42Speaker 1: you communicate your second guesses with your partner and then
- 1:03:46Speaker 1: she like says, oh no, this hell is and you're like,
- 1:03:48Speaker 1: oh that makes.
- 1:03:49Speaker 2: Me feel better exactly. Yeah, yeah, but it's normal A
- 1:03:51Speaker 2: second guess, very yeah. I like that a lot.
- 1:04:00Speaker 1: You know what time it is, Batty sign off time.

- 1:05:14Speaker 6: Can I give some advice?
- 1:05:15Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 1:05:16Speaker 6: Okay, So my advice is that stress and all of
- 1:05:21Speaker 6: that is temporary, and if you stress too much about something,
- 1:05:25Speaker 6: you put yourself through it twice at the moment.
- 1:05:29Speaker 2: Well you can.
- 1:05:30Speaker 1: Yeah, so try and you can.
- 1:05:32Speaker 2: I love it. Yeah. I really thank you sort of
- 1:05:35Speaker 2: on them for the episode.
