  Speaker 1: OK.
• 0:00
Speaker 2: And then I said, yeah, he's a dumb guy. And
• 0:02
  Speaker 2: then I said he's a Democrat. And I don't know
• 0:04
Speaker 2: if people are going to like that term or not,
• 0:06
Speaker 2: but it's true that policies are insane and they would
• 0:10
Speaker 2: drive our country into ruin. And we've got to do
• 0:13
Speaker 2: great in the midterms, and if we don't, they will
• 0:15
Speaker 2: do everything they can to destroy our country.
• 0:17
Speaker 3: There's something wrong with them.
• 0:19
Speaker 1: You're listening to the forty seven Morning Update with Ben ferguson.
• 0:23
  Speaker 3: Good Saturday morning.
• 0:24
Speaker 4: It's nice to have you with us on the forty
• 0:25
Speaker 4: seven Morning UPDAT, and we've got two major stories for you.
• 0:28
Speaker 4: First up, the midterms are getting really close. So what
• 0:32
Speaker 4: is it that the present needs you to do and
• 0:34
Speaker 4: what does he have to do to sell the country
• 0:37
Speaker 4: to make sure that we don't lose control of the
• 0:39
Speaker 4: House or the Senator both in the midterm elections.
• 0:42
Speaker 3: We break it down.
• 0:43
Speaker 4: Up next in a shocking story, the Southern Poverty Law
• 0:47
Speaker 4: Center may be putting their radical political agenda inside of
• 0:52
Speaker 4: your kids and your grandkids' heads in our.
• 0:55
Speaker 3: Public schools all over the country.
• 0:58
Speaker 4: Just how much influence does their career kill him have
• 1:01
Speaker 4: and where is it being used?
• 1:02
Speaker 3: I'll give you that as well.
• 1:03
Speaker 4: It's a forty seven morning update and it starts right now.
• 1:07
Speaker 3: Story number one. President Donald Trump.
• 1:10
Speaker 4: He is very concerned about the midterm elections, and it's
• 1:14
Speaker 4: clear that he's trying to be president of the United
• 1:16
Speaker 4: States of America. But he also understands that if he
• 1:20
Speaker 4: doesn't turn into Donald Trump the campaigner right now, that
• 1:23
Speaker 4: we could have major problems come November. Now, President Trump
• 1:28
Speaker 4: is making it very clear that the Republicans better get
• 1:32
Speaker 4: their act together, saying that the midterm elections are not
• 1:35
Speaker 4: just another political fight, but in his words, they are
• 1:39
Speaker 4: make or break for his presidency, his agenda in the
• 1:42
Speaker 4: future direction of the country. We also are learning now
• 1:46
Speaker 4: that behind closed doors, it's also getting really intense. Trump
• 1:52
Speaker 4: has been warning Republicans that if they lose control of Congress,
• 1:56
Speaker 4: Democrats will immediately move to cripple's second term with investigation, subpoenas,
• 2:01
Speaker 4: and potentially even another impeachment effort. Democrats have said they're
• 2:05
Speaker 4: actually willing to go further than Donald Trump and impeach
• 2:08
Speaker 4: the Vice President j. D Vance and also go after
• 2:12
Speaker 4: and try to impeach cabinet members as well. There was
• 2:15
Speaker 4: a House Republican retreat that happened earlier this year. Trump
• 2:20
Speaker 4: bluntly told the lawmakers, you gotta win the mid terms,
• 2:24
Speaker 4: and he warned that if Republicans lose, they'll find a
• 2:27
Speaker 4: reason to impeach me. Now, whether you love President Trump
• 2:31
Speaker 4: or hate him, there's no denying the political reality behind
• 2:34
Speaker 4: what he's saying. This is a party, and I'm talking
• 2:38
Speaker 4: about the Democratic Party that's made it clear they are
• 2:41
Speaker 4: going to weaponize government to subpoena and to destroy anyone
• 2:45
Speaker 4: that is around Donald Trump.
• 2:48
Speaker 3: Why. Because that's all they have to run on.
• 2:50
Speaker 4: They hate Donald Trump, and it seems to make their
• 2:53
Speaker 4: base want to show up to vote. The White House
• 2:56
Speaker 4: knows that if Democrats retake the House, the next two
• 3:00
Speaker 4: years will turn into non stop political warfare. And it's
• 3:04
Speaker 4: exactly what they did back in twenty sixteen, twenty eighteen,
• 3:08
Speaker 4: and really every year even when Joe Biden was in office.
• 3:11
Speaker 4: There will be committee investigations. They will explode overnight. I'm
• 3:15
Speaker 4: quoting Democrats. They've already said that hearings will dominate cable news.
• 3:21
  Speaker 4: It's not a legitimate agenda for America. It's a legitimate
• 3:25
Speaker 4: agenda destroy the presidency of the United States of America,
• 3:29
Speaker 4: and that's why Donald Trump has been aggressively pressuring Republicans
• 3:33
Speaker 4: to unify around a simple message. We secure the border,
• 3:37
Speaker 4: we strengthen the economy, we lower prices, we restore law
• 3:42
Speaker 4: and order, and you compare that to the radical Democrat chaos.
• 3:47
  Speaker 2: Now.
• 3:47
Speaker 4: The President also saying this about the midterms at the
• 3:51
  Speaker 4: White House earlier.
• 3:53
Speaker 2: Good then I said, you know, he's a dumb guy,
• 3:54
  Speaker 2: and then I said he's a Democrat. And I don't
• 3:56
Speaker 2: know if people are gonna like that term or not.
• 3:59
Speaker 2: It maybe catches and maybe it doesn't. But it's true
• 4:01
Speaker 2: that policies are insane and they would drive our country
• 4:05
Speaker 2: into ruin. And we've got to do great in the midterms,
• 4:09
Speaker 2: and if we don't, they will do everything they can
• 4:11
Speaker 2: to destroy our country. There's something wrong with them. The
• 4:13
Speaker 2: flow of deadly fedonyl across our border is down, by
• 4:17
Speaker 2: the way, by over sixty percent, which is a record.
• 4:20
Speaker 2: Nobody ever thought it was even possible. And coming in
• 4:23
Speaker 2: by sea, it's down by ninety seven percent. And again
• 4:27
Speaker 2: we're trying to find the three percent because we consider
• 4:30
Speaker 2: them to be among the bravest people anywhere in the world.
• 4:33
Speaker 2: Anybody willing to get into one of those votes. After
• 4:35
Speaker 2: what they've witnessed, we would consider them to be among
• 4:39
Speaker 2: the bravest in the world. These gains have been the result.
• 4:42
Speaker 2: And what a job our military and others are doing.
• 4:46
  Speaker 3: With respect is.
• 4:47
Speaker 2: That right, Paul, With respect to drugs coming in by sea,
• 4:50
Speaker 2: meaning drugs coming in by water, by the ocean, by
• 4:53
Speaker 2: the say, a lot of people don't know what I
• 4:54
  Speaker 2: mean by sea.
• 4:56
Speaker 4: President Trump talking at the White House and again making
• 4:59
Speaker 4: it clear the control of the House is literally going
• 5:02
Speaker 4: to come down to just a handful of districts in
• 5:05
Speaker 4: states like Arizona, Pennsylvania, Georgia, Michigan, Nevada, Wisconsin, the swing states.
• 5:13
Speaker 4: In many of those races, President Warrens will be decided
• 5:16
Speaker 4: by suburban swing voters who have bounced back and forth
• 5:20
Speaker 4: between Republican candidates and Democratic candates over the last several
• 5:25
Speaker 4: election cycles. Trump is also facing another challenge presidents always
• 5:30
Speaker 4: encounter in the midterms. There is a voter complacency. The
• 5:34
Speaker 4: team that's in charge usually they stay home because they
• 5:38
Speaker 4: feel like everything's fine, and the team that hates the
• 5:41
Speaker 4: leadership in Washington, they show up, they're focused, they're angry,
• 5:45
Speaker 4: and they want to get rid of conservatives. When your
• 5:48
Speaker 4: side wins the White House, some supporters actually, well, they relax, right.
• 5:53
Speaker 4: The opposition is energized, and as we know from the
• 5:56
Speaker 4: Democratic leaders, they're angry now. Democrats are already organizing around
• 6:01
Speaker 4: abortion rights, healthcare costs, and accusations of course, that Trump
• 6:06
Speaker 4: is abusing his executive power. Republicans now fear that there's
• 6:12
Speaker 4: a real enthusiasm gap. I'm one of those, and that's
• 6:16
Speaker 4: why Donald Trump is making it very clear he may
• 6:19
Speaker 4: not be on the ballot come November, but his agenda
• 6:23
Speaker 4: certainly is. He's essentially telling Republicans, if you want this
• 6:28
Speaker 4: presidency to succeed, you have to treat the midterms like
• 6:32
Speaker 4: a presidential election. And behind the scenes, the stakes are enormous.
• 6:37
Speaker 4: Trump's entire legislative agenda depends on Congress. We're talking about
• 6:43
Speaker 4: things that matter to everyday Americans. The most incredible tax
• 6:47
Speaker 4: cuts of our lifetime, energy independence and expansion in the US,
• 6:53
Speaker 4: immigration reform, judicial appointments, which have been phenomenal for President Trump.
• 6:59
Speaker 4: Budget fight, Yes, the President saying we're spending too much money,
• 7:02
Speaker 4: getting rid of waste fraud and of use and military spending,
• 7:06
Speaker 4: which Democrats always hate. You even have the fight over
• 7:10
Speaker 4: the Save Act election law changes. All of it becomes
• 7:14
Speaker 4: dramatically harder if Democrats regain power. In many ways, Donald
• 7:20
Speaker 4: Trump is now saying the twenty twenty six is literally
• 7:23
Speaker 4: the firewall protecting the rest of his presidency. And there's
• 7:28
Speaker 4: another major factor here as well. Republicans like to stay
• 7:32
Speaker 4: home when they're in power historically, and what the President
• 7:36
Speaker 4: is saying is the Democrats aren't going to stay home,
• 7:39
Speaker 4: so you shouldn't either.
• 7:41
  Speaker 3: Now.
• 7:41
  Speaker 1: Story number two.
• 7:42
Speaker 4: Southern Poverty Law Center, Yeah, things aren't going well for them.
• 7:47
Speaker 4: The far left quote anti racism group, right, Well, we
• 7:53
Speaker 4: now found their curriculum has been found in classrooms as
• 7:56
Speaker 4: early as kindergarten. A new watchdog group is exposing apparently
• 8:03
Speaker 4: the Southern Poverty Law Center currently facing federal fraud charges
• 8:07
Speaker 4: over an alleged covert paid informant program worth three million dollars,
• 8:12
Speaker 4: well as the liberal activists organization is facing those charges.
• 8:17
Speaker 4: An education watchdog group warned that the group continues to
• 8:21
Speaker 4: integrate its far left content and its materials into your kids' classrooms,
• 8:29
Speaker 4: and they're doing this as early as kindergarten in more
• 8:33
  Speaker 4: than forty states.
• 8:35
Speaker 3: Across the United States.
• 8:37
Speaker 4: Of America, the president of Defending Education, which was once
• 8:42
Speaker 4: actually labeled this is not a joke, an extremist group
• 8:45
Speaker 4: by the Southern Poverty Law Center, told Fox News Digital
• 8:49
Speaker 4: that unbeknownst to parents, the Southern Poverty Law Center has
• 8:53
Speaker 4: been poisoning your children's minds around the country for years
• 8:57
Speaker 4: with its quote toxic curriculum. Defending Education published a new expose,
• 9:05
Speaker 4: and it details how the Southern Poverty Law Center's education program,
• 9:09
Speaker 4: called the Learning for Justice, formerly it was known This
• 9:13
Speaker 4: is Not a Joke, as teaching tolerance is now heavily
• 9:17
Speaker 4: integrated into K through twelve lesson plans and materials and
• 9:21
Speaker 4: more than one hundred and sixty nine school districts not
• 9:23
Speaker 4: schools school districts in forty two states plus washingt d C.
• 9:29
Speaker 4: According to the report, the program's design is to reinforce
• 9:36
Speaker 4: far left culture and political ideologies, including what they describe
• 9:42
Speaker 4: as anti racism, black lives matter, gender ideology, and most importantly,
• 9:50
Speaker 4: with your tax dollars, queer theory, with a side of
• 9:54
Speaker 4: white privilege, white supremacy, whiteness, and then, of course, trans genderism.
• 10:01
Speaker 4: This is in a one hundred and sixty nine school
• 10:04
Speaker 4: districts and forty two states. What does that mean? More
• 10:08
Speaker 4: than likely your tax dollars have been going to fund
• 10:10
Speaker 4: this curriculum in our schools now. The watch Stock Group
• 10:14
Speaker 4: said that due to the Southern property law centers integration
• 10:17
Speaker 4: in schools, issues such as queer theory, white privilege, and
• 10:24
Speaker 4: anti racism have well become traditional coursework in your kid's
• 10:30
Speaker 4: history classes, your kids' social studies classes, and other core
• 10:34
Speaker 4: curriculum classes, teaching children of you, themselves and others to
• 10:39
Speaker 4: the lens of identity politics and that America is forever
• 10:43
Speaker 4: stained by its quote original sin is part of the
• 10:46
Speaker 4: curriculum now. According to the Watchstaw Group, the material intentionally
• 10:52
Speaker 4: so division and mistrust between students at a formative stage
• 10:58
Speaker 4: of their development, adding that is deeply disappointing that administrators
• 11:02
Speaker 4: and educators believe this is an appropriate use of the
• 11:05
Speaker 4: finite classroom time and resources. But let's be clear, the
• 11:08
Speaker 4: majority of public schools in America are failing your kids
• 11:11
Speaker 4: at reading, writing, and arithmetic. And you may wonder why, Well,
• 11:15
Speaker 4: it's probably because of this type of radical ideology that
• 11:19
Speaker 4: has now been indoctrinated in your kid's mind, claiming that
• 11:23
Speaker 4: it's actually education when it really isn't now. The Southern
• 11:27
Speaker 4: Property Law Center has not responded to requests or comment
• 11:30
Speaker 4: for Defending Education's report. The report also reveals to the
• 11:35
Speaker 4: Southern Property Law Center's website and documents can be found
• 11:38
Speaker 4: actually on your school district web pages, also in teacher
• 11:43
Speaker 4: professional development and Trainings, classroom lessons, district wide curriculum, social
• 11:49
Speaker 4: emotional learning, social justice standards, and district anti racism and
• 11:55
Speaker 4: equity policies and resources. The learning for just this program,
• 12:01
Speaker 4: which the report said is focused on quote, Education for
• 12:04
Speaker 4: Liberation encourages the implementation of a set of anchor standards
• 12:10
Speaker 4: and then they call them age appropriate learning outcomes divided
• 12:14
Speaker 4: into domains of number one identity, then diversity, then justice,
• 12:21
Speaker 4: and then action. Now under the action category, they say
• 12:24
Speaker 4: students are encouraged to commit to join the diverse people
• 12:30
Speaker 4: to plan and carry out collective action against exclusion, prejudice,
• 12:35
Speaker 4: and discrimination. And also the plan says you should be
• 12:39
Speaker 4: thoughtful and creative in our actions in order to achieve
• 12:43
  Speaker 4: our goals.
• 12:45
Speaker 3: And silly me, I thought that school was supposed to
• 12:47
  Speaker 3: just be.
• 12:47
Speaker 4: About reading, writing, and arithmetic, but apparently not anymore. Defending
• 12:52
Speaker 4: Educations to the New York State Education Department added equity
• 12:55
Speaker 4: revisions to its New York Social Emotional Learning bench that
• 13:00
Speaker 4: align the benchmarks with the Southern Poverty Law Centers Social
• 13:04
Speaker 4: Justice standards. So they're not just doing the curriculum, they're
• 13:08
Speaker 4: mandating and directing how it is actually being taught in
• 13:13
Speaker 4: America's schools now. The report also notes that the Smithsonian
• 13:17
Speaker 4: National Museum of the American Indian actually lists Learning for
• 13:22
Speaker 4: Justice as a recommended resource in certain lesson materials, so
• 13:28
Speaker 4: our government is backing it as well. It further points
• 13:32
Speaker 4: to guidance and then curriculum resources for the California Department
• 13:36
Speaker 4: of Education and the Illinois State Board of Education, as
• 13:40
Speaker 4: well as Chicago Public schools that include or reference the standards.
• 13:45
Speaker 4: Now let me just hit pause there, and I'm going
• 13:47
Speaker 4: to give you some homework. I want you to Google
• 13:50
Speaker 4: or use AI and ask AI or Google where does
• 13:55
Speaker 4: California's education standards rate? Where does Illinois State Board of
• 14:01
Speaker 4: Education standards rate? Where is the Chicago Public school system rate?
• 14:06
Speaker 4: And you tell me that at the three places that
• 14:09
Speaker 4: they're saying are amazing or so good that you should
• 14:13
Speaker 4: be mimicking their lesson plans on all this woke ideology,
• 14:18
Speaker 4: ask them. The question a simple question. Why are they
• 14:21
Speaker 4: failing their kids so badly in the school system. That's
• 14:24
Speaker 4: a question you should be asking right now.
• 14:26
