- 0:21Speaker 1: What's going on?
- 0:22Speaker 2: Everybody? I'm the one, the only the w oh okay,
- 0:26Speaker 2: I e one misfits short of a happy meal. We
- 0:29Speaker 2: don't know what drass Car is doing.
- 0:32Speaker 1: He's in an airplane.
- 0:34Speaker 2: We assume totally legal things, but he's.
- 0:38Speaker 3: Probably flapping his wings or he's riding a brooming.
- 0:45Speaker 1: I think I think he could Harry Potter it up? Yeah, okay,
- 0:48Speaker 1: which Harry Wicked? Witch with a nose? Oh so you're
- 0:52Speaker 1: gonna go Wicked? Which I was gonna say, which? Which
- 0:54Speaker 1: house do we think that Drascore would be a part of?
- 0:56Speaker 1: If he is part of Harry Potter?
- 0:59Speaker 3: Uh?
- 1:01Speaker 2: Yeah, I was, Oh yes, loyal and friendly, drunk, definitely
- 1:15Speaker 2: into the concoctions. Yeah, absolutely, But we got some stuff
- 1:21Speaker 2: to go over. Kind of a quiet week and key
- 1:23Speaker 2: Forge this week only one article which has nothing to
- 1:27Speaker 2: pertain to anybody in the United States, but we're going
- 1:30Speaker 2: to read about it anyway because it.
- 1:33Speaker 3: Pertained to us.
- 1:34Speaker 2: How does it pertain? Okay? Anyway, we don't have oh okay,
- 1:39Speaker 2: but we got things to go through first, a little
- 1:41Speaker 2: bit of housekeeping. We need to go why suck at
- 1:43Speaker 2: key Forge? Our titular segment with Doctor Sheep, our resident
- 1:49Speaker 2: boob doctor sheep, sheep, why do you suck? At key Forge?
- 1:59Speaker 2: I keep playing for frod Why does that suck? I
- 2:02Speaker 2: don't understand why you're having so many issues.
- 2:06Speaker 3: I don't know why I'm having so because it doesn't
- 2:08Speaker 3: keep up. Man, It's just it's tough in this like
- 2:12Speaker 3: new meta of token spam, and if isn't token spam,
- 2:17Speaker 3: it's dishand disruption where you just can't handcraft and you
- 2:22Speaker 3: can't you can sort of still archive craft until you
- 2:27Speaker 3: hit that dirty pke siphon atack. But so like the
- 2:33Speaker 3: combos that happen with the current sets are just way
- 2:38Speaker 3: way stronger.
- 2:40Speaker 2: Too strong. Well, does that mean Fraud's back on the market.
- 2:44Speaker 3: Froud's been on the market since like six months after
- 2:47Speaker 3: I bought it. Oh no offers, Uh nothing that has
- 2:52Speaker 3: blowed up?
- 2:53Speaker 2: Oh okay, all right, so we'll keep you guys posted
- 2:58Speaker 2: on the fraud off here at Arcand's Corner, your number
- 3:02Speaker 2: one news source for everything KeyForge. I just made that
- 3:06Speaker 2: up perfect.
- 3:09Speaker 3: I mean, what else can we be the number two?
- 3:12Speaker 3: I don't know, maybe after their website fair enough, But sheep,
- 3:19Speaker 3: we have another segment coming up.
- 3:23Speaker 2: I mean this with sheep.
- 3:25Speaker 1: Okay, so before sheep gets into op news, I had
- 3:29Speaker 1: this sweet key Forge op goes into full swing email
- 3:33Speaker 1: come from gig. Have you guys seen the new.
- 3:36Speaker 3: Key three op articles linked in it?
- 3:40Speaker 1: It did, but for anyone following along because some people
- 3:44Speaker 1: like the live show. I think this is where Das
- 3:47Speaker 1: Corp is. I think the second section that says vault
- 3:49Speaker 1: where twenty twenty five begins this month, and then there's
- 3:53Speaker 1: a nice drink in this shadowy is character here? This
- 3:58Speaker 1: is Dascore.
- 4:00Speaker 2: Ooh you think Jascar is a shadows character? I don't
- 4:03Speaker 2: think so.
- 4:04Speaker 1: No, no, no, no, I think that's Ope. I think this.
- 4:07Speaker 1: I've not seen this art before, so it's amazing. But
- 4:10Speaker 1: if this is not paying homage to Drascore in the
- 4:12Speaker 1: Dras Corps experience, I just I love the nod. I
- 4:16Speaker 1: think that it was very well done. So if you
- 4:18Speaker 1: have not checked it out, that's the little tidbits yep.
- 4:21Speaker 2: And where did this go to?
- 4:23Speaker 1: This is the key Forge newsletter from who April nance Galaxy?
- 4:29Speaker 1: It was Galaxy, man.
- 4:30Speaker 2: I don't think I got an email. How did I
- 4:32Speaker 2: not get an email? They don't like me?
- 4:34Speaker 1: Yeah, you don't subscribe to echos Galaxy.
- 4:37Speaker 2: Ghost Galaxy and no, I just maybe it's in this email.
- 4:42Speaker 2: I don't know. I got a lot of emails. Let
- 4:43Speaker 2: me check my x spam. Oh, check spam. Oh jeez.
- 4:49Speaker 3: The Nascourt doesn't wear a hat.
- 4:51Speaker 1: He could, I understand. But I think this is very
- 4:55Speaker 1: well done and I like that they're thinking about Drascore
- 4:59Speaker 1: and the experience.
- 5:00Speaker 2: So yeah, okay, no facial hair either. Dascar definitely has
- 5:04Speaker 2: a beard.
- 5:09Speaker 1: All right, Well, I'm just gonna sit over here by
- 5:11Speaker 1: foreigner and think about this and we're gonna move on
- 5:13Speaker 1: and be said, all right, let's let's let's keep it going.
- 5:16Speaker 2: But we have new op news again, nothing that affects
- 5:20Speaker 2: US as a whole, sheep tell us about what we're
- 5:22Speaker 2: not getting in twenty twenty five as a US.
- 5:26Speaker 3: Say, put out their Nationals article.
- 5:38Speaker 1: And hold back your enthusiasm, sheep man, if.
- 5:43Speaker 3: You're getting a Vault tour, you're not getting the Nationals.
- 5:46Speaker 3: Sign up for Nationals here, yeah, which.
- 5:48Speaker 1: That is definitely what it says. We knew this ahead
- 5:52Speaker 1: of time, but good go sign up if you are international.
- 5:58Speaker 1: We had quite a few international listeners, and there's some
- 6:01Speaker 1: great areas. If you don't have a Vault, I did there.
- 6:04Speaker 2: Were click, I haven't what OVERUS places are getting vaults.
- 6:10Speaker 1: Yeah, no, no, there are a number of international vaults. But
- 6:12Speaker 1: if if you basically get a vault, LOOKI you're not
- 6:16Speaker 1: getting a national, which means we have vaults here in
- 6:18Speaker 1: the States, we're not getting a national. There are spots
- 6:23Speaker 1: that are getting vaults internationally, they will not be getting
- 6:26Speaker 1: a national.
- 6:27Speaker 2: Do you guys remember regionals and all that fun stuff
- 6:29Speaker 2: or we call those prime Yeah, those were fun to
- 6:35Speaker 2: go to.
- 6:37Speaker 1: It gave reason to be able to travel. I do
- 6:39Speaker 1: say now that we've finished up the store championships, there's
- 6:42Speaker 1: a little bit of travel that happened with those store
- 6:45Speaker 1: champs and so not to the same level. I think
- 6:47Speaker 1: the primes were really nice. One they had actual, like
- 6:50Speaker 1: good prize kits and something to go after. That's that's
- 6:53Speaker 1: actually where the little metal geese first came from. For
- 6:57Speaker 1: the nineteen and twenties, they were fun.
- 7:01Speaker 2: But oh yeah, I know you're right, the little metal ones.
- 7:03Speaker 2: Yeah nineteen Yeah, the little metal.
- 7:05Speaker 1: But they're nice because they're smaller so they fit in
- 7:08Speaker 1: it with a deck. But I missed that. But I
- 7:12Speaker 1: will say I did enjoy the store Championship. I thought
- 7:14Speaker 1: it was fun, it was something to participate in, and
- 7:16Speaker 1: it did get me out to be able to try
- 7:19Speaker 1: some different local stores. I thought it was easy to
- 7:21Speaker 1: be able to find on the map. So I give
- 7:23Speaker 1: props to Josh for that and the GG team for
- 7:26Speaker 1: putting it together. But yes, I do miss primes.
- 7:30Speaker 3: Well, they do have the price on it's two hundred
- 7:34Speaker 3: and fifty dollars plus shipping, plus.
- 7:36Speaker 2: Duties plus duties. What duties?
- 7:41Speaker 1: But that's not the TA word for tariffs, but by
- 7:47Speaker 1: it sooner.
- 7:51Speaker 3: Yeah, doesn't actually say what's in the kit. It just
- 7:55Speaker 3: says it's two hundred and fifty dollars and the kit
- 7:58Speaker 3: supports thirty two players for three tournaments.
- 8:02Speaker 2: Yeah, so what happens? What do you think would happen
- 8:05Speaker 2: if we applied, we just get shut down.
- 8:08Speaker 1: You'd be shut down. We're in the States. Do you
- 8:10Speaker 1: think they just talked about this? Do you think they
- 8:12Speaker 1: know really?
- 8:14Speaker 3: Well? Yeah, you know, Sidney's putting it on on the boat.
- 8:17Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 8:18Speaker 2: Every port has a different has a different national You
- 8:23Speaker 2: have the Cuban National Championships. Uh wait, which coast are
- 8:28Speaker 2: we going down?
- 8:33Speaker 1: You're you're leading this you're you are you are leading
- 8:37Speaker 1: this cast captain, Which coast do you want to go down?
- 8:41Speaker 2: I would say the East coast? No, is the East
- 8:43Speaker 2: coast better than the West coast? Probably probably a horse.
- 8:48Speaker 3: Organizers must avoid age restricted venues and venues with political
- 8:54Speaker 3: or religious associations. No church forward, sir.
- 9:01Speaker 1: A lot of fresh forage going on. Oh but typically
- 9:05Speaker 1: those venues will have a little bit more space because
- 9:08Speaker 1: they'll have a larger.
- 9:10Speaker 3: Yeah, there's a lot of cure basements.
- 9:13Speaker 1: Yeah, picture that they are used multiple times a week,
- 9:19Speaker 1: but at most what two three times? So there are
- 9:23Speaker 1: open days and a lot of space.
- 9:26Speaker 2: Do you imagine having your having your sealed national championship
- 9:29Speaker 2: on a Sunday? Oops? Battling the choir Now, I'll just
- 9:38Speaker 2: let my imagination right. I'm glad we're getting somewhere here tonight.
- 9:41Speaker 2: This is a great episode. I love all of you.
- 9:43Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, I'm sorry. I'm not giving you the feedback
- 9:46Speaker 1: that you want.
- 9:47Speaker 2: I'm not You're not You're not giving me the bounce
- 9:50Speaker 2: back that I need. You can't make fun of when
- 9:53Speaker 2: there's no bounce back. Alight, give me more, but we'll
- 9:59Speaker 2: do making a bounce back. Final Refrain has wrapped itself
- 10:03Speaker 2: up well.
- 10:04Speaker 1: While he's talking about Final Refrain, I'm gonna bounce over
- 10:07Speaker 1: you if you apply apply by May the fifth.
- 10:11Speaker 2: Oh, may the fifth be with you? Or no, it's
- 10:13Speaker 2: Revenge of the fifth.
- 10:14Speaker 1: I'm sorry, it's Revenge of the fifth the fourth, but yeah,
- 10:17Speaker 1: May fifth five is when applications are open to so
- 10:20Speaker 1: definitely go check it out.
- 10:22Speaker 2: If you're not getting a vault to her, I might
- 10:26Speaker 2: apply just to waste Gigi's time. That's why they don't
- 10:31Speaker 2: come on this show.
- 10:33Speaker 1: But we don't invite them on the show. So we're
- 10:36Speaker 1: good with that.
- 10:38Speaker 2: Invite it again, Invite we We've gone through this. Invite
- 10:41Speaker 2: them for what? What are they going to tell us
- 10:44Speaker 2: that we don't already know?
- 10:45Speaker 3: One of them live?
- 10:47Speaker 2: You you want to make fun of them to their face?
- 10:50Speaker 2: We do comment we two every week. All you gotta
- 10:53Speaker 2: do is listen. So, Josh, what is it like? Or
- 11:01Speaker 2: so final refrain wrapped up? What was that this past
- 11:04Speaker 2: Sunday Sundays, This past Sunday, This past Sunday we had
- 11:10Speaker 2: Pastor asked nim Rod going up again to record keeper
- 11:14Speaker 2: Lucida Latrivic. Oh gosh, very nice, bookie vit trekt trek
- 11:22Speaker 2: there we go. That was trickier than it looks, and uh,
- 11:28Speaker 2: go ahead, I'm gonna say, And Pastor asked, taking it
- 11:31Speaker 2: two to one kind of shocking, where'd you guys have
- 11:34Speaker 2: your chips on that?
- 11:37Speaker 1: Well all first? While Sheep is thinking about that, Congrats
- 11:40Speaker 1: to Harmed and Pastor asked for being there. Actually, congrats
- 11:43Speaker 1: to everyone who participated. It was a fun event to
- 11:47Speaker 1: be able to participate in. Even though I got bounced
- 11:49Speaker 1: in round one. It was very interesting to see what
- 11:53Speaker 1: decks were played in a lot of great players there.
- 11:56Speaker 1: So props to both of our pilots who are able
- 12:01Speaker 1: to go ahead to make it to the finals. Some
- 12:03Speaker 1: great decks to be able to go up against. But
- 12:04Speaker 1: Harms and past Or ass taking it down, so way
- 12:08Speaker 1: to go. It is a very very very special deck.
- 12:10Speaker 1: After playing it in the open, it's got some duels.
- 12:15Speaker 3: I did make that prediction at the start that harm
- 12:17Speaker 3: would win it.
- 12:21Speaker 1: It is. It is a phenomenal deck.
- 12:23Speaker 2: So who owns ass? Don key for.
- 12:28Speaker 1: Yeah, donkey, George, we'll get it.
- 12:30Speaker 2: We'll get into that in a little bit, but I
- 12:32Speaker 2: haven't watched the video yet. Record Keepers. Still hell of
- 12:37Speaker 2: a deck though, uh oh yeah, it is very very
- 12:42Speaker 2: ember oppressive and very difficult to play making it all
- 12:47Speaker 2: the way. I mean I lost, I lost to a finalist,
- 12:50Speaker 2: you know, Deck, I don't think I have too much
- 12:53Speaker 2: to hang hang my head on. But we had this thought,
- 12:59Speaker 2: me and me and mister Ewok were talking. Now number one.
- 13:04Speaker 2: We didn't put this in the notes, but we're going
- 13:07Speaker 2: into We had Vault Tours about two weeks away. Two
- 13:10Speaker 2: weeks away will be the first Vault Millennium games in Rochester.
- 13:14Speaker 2: I'm assuming there will be a stream. We don't know yet,
- 13:17Speaker 2: but we're all assuming there will be one. We have
- 13:21Speaker 2: more attendees or less. It's a year later, right, are
- 13:24Speaker 2: we gonna have more people coming out to Vaults or less?
- 13:30Speaker 2: And has excuse me, it might have changed within Oh
- 13:35Speaker 2: you got it on it. It might have changed in
- 13:38Speaker 2: the last couple of weeks. No, so everybody's thoughts on this.
- 13:44Speaker 3: I mean, I can't see.
- 13:47Speaker 1: The Canadians.
- 13:50Speaker 3: Yeah, I can't see how the head count goes up.
- 13:53Speaker 3: There hasn't been any real push to put more people
- 13:57Speaker 3: in the game.
- 13:58Speaker 2: Right, Yep, That's kind of what I was saying. I mean,
- 14:00Speaker 2: we've gained a couple of new people in the server
- 14:04Speaker 2: that we know are kind of new to the game.
- 14:05Speaker 2: But other than that, I mean not not, not many.
- 14:11Speaker 1: Yeah, so I know that our discord blew up actually
- 14:15Speaker 1: after our weekly Tuesday when we were talking about this,
- 14:17Speaker 1: and we did not even put fuel on this. My
- 14:21Speaker 1: question just came for all the returning we have four
- 14:23Speaker 1: out of the five US vaults. Rochester, Roseville, Baltimore, and
- 14:26Speaker 1: Vegas are all repeats from last year, Portland being new.
- 14:29Speaker 1: So my question is we have numbers from last year.
- 14:31Speaker 1: Would those numbers be higher? And honestly, coming in, I thought, yeah,
- 14:37Speaker 1: I think that the games are here, we should be
- 14:40Speaker 1: able to go ahead, especially for Roseville, like we should
- 14:42Speaker 1: be able to get into the forties. And the short
- 14:46Speaker 1: answer is yeah, wokie, you were you were adamantly against me,
- 14:50Speaker 1: and now seeing Rochester, I think it's gonna be the
- 14:52Speaker 1: first glimpse. What she said is true. We haven't put
- 14:55Speaker 1: anything into really bringing the game. There can be an
- 14:58Speaker 1: argument about discovery, but even discovery, how has it reached
- 15:03Speaker 1: new players?
- 15:04Speaker 3: I mean, I know I've heard some people, but yeah,
- 15:07Speaker 3: just discovery isn't really about Vault to her attendance at
- 15:12Speaker 3: this point. No, like a person who just learned about
- 15:18Speaker 3: the game through discovery since it's released, is not the
- 15:21Speaker 3: person who's likely to be traveling to.
- 15:23Speaker 1: A vault not likely to travel, but if they're in
- 15:26Speaker 1: the local area. And that's now a quick johnt where Hey,
- 15:30Speaker 1: I'm within.
- 15:32Speaker 3: You know, pay to go play a game that you
- 15:39Speaker 3: just learned. I'm not saying it can't happen.
- 15:41Speaker 1: Yeah, I was just thinking that there's still reason for
- 15:44Speaker 1: people to come out and the side events and different
- 15:49Speaker 1: items that happen in a vault, just to check it out.
- 15:51Speaker 1: I thought that that could increase our numbers. But I
- 15:54Speaker 1: get what you're saying.
- 15:58Speaker 2: I just I had a tickle go down my spot.
- 16:00Speaker 2: What if Sealed is going to be Discovery.
- 16:04Speaker 3: Now?
- 16:05Speaker 2: But what if I didn't say it was happening? I said,
- 16:07Speaker 2: what if?
- 16:09Speaker 3: Why would you say such awful things?
- 16:13Speaker 2: Back to the old a Sealed days? Oh, I don't know.
- 16:19Speaker 3: Well, I don't know. We need to find out next
- 16:21Speaker 3: week when we actually run what we said we'd run.
- 16:24Speaker 3: But nobody showed up to play, so we we did
- 16:26Speaker 3: not play Discovery at our store. Although it's scheduled to
- 16:29Speaker 3: be Discovery this month. We are discovered nobody is showing
- 16:33Speaker 3: up because like.
- 16:36Speaker 1: Everybody about it, nobody everybody.
- 16:40Speaker 3: When everybody at the store we are at already knows
- 16:43Speaker 3: there's a group playing key Forge and they're not showing
- 16:45Speaker 3: up like we've advertised on their page and on all
- 16:49Speaker 3: that stuff. For I don't know. We've been consistently going
- 16:52Speaker 3: for two years to that store.
- 16:53Speaker 2: Now, right, yep, and we've gained two people. Well, we
- 16:58Speaker 2: gained a person, we gained Pete.
- 17:01Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, I mean we initially gained two. Then we
- 17:04Speaker 1: had a slip. And that's part of why I could
- 17:07Speaker 1: potentially to get back for attendance. I could see us
- 17:10Speaker 1: dropping down, is that there have been some people who've
- 17:12Speaker 1: left for other games. I think it'll be really interesting
- 17:15Speaker 1: because Roosevelt was really small as is. If our numbers
- 17:20Speaker 1: are dwindling even further, that's a bit of a bummer
- 17:22Speaker 1: because again we have a really good community of the group.
- 17:25Speaker 2: I don't think a lot of Canadians are showing up
- 17:27Speaker 2: this year.
- 17:28Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 17:28Speaker 1: Well, And that was what came out later this week
- 17:30Speaker 1: is with the increase in just cost and chance to
- 17:36Speaker 1: be able to travel, it's not going to be as
- 17:38Speaker 1: easy and some people don't feel safe and so they
- 17:41Speaker 1: weren't willing to make that trans transit across the into
- 17:47Speaker 1: our country, So I don't know, it'll be interesting to
- 17:50Speaker 1: see with this first ball just I mean two weeks
- 17:52Speaker 1: away is pretty interesting.
- 17:54Speaker 2: I mean, and it's in Rochester, so it's the perfect
- 17:57Speaker 2: I mean, it's the easiest place to hop the border
- 18:00Speaker 2: besides for maybe Minnesota to you know, come play for
- 18:04Speaker 2: a Rochester. Yeah. Yeah, it's it's the easiest, you know,
- 18:08Speaker 2: besides maybe Minnesota. Maybe it maybe not, you know, I mean,
- 18:13Speaker 2: I don't know what equally, I don't know what distance
- 18:15Speaker 2: it is, but I know that they I think they
- 18:18Speaker 2: had quite a number of Canadians traveled downward to come
- 18:22Speaker 2: play Key Forge. I think they had what's sixty last year?
- 18:28Speaker 1: Yeah, no, they had a really substantial group. I don't know.
- 18:31Speaker 2: Okay, Well, I mean it was quite a number last year,
- 18:34Speaker 2: and I know it was high because that was after
- 18:39Speaker 2: the Roseville event, and I think we were all shocked
- 18:41Speaker 2: at how high it was. But knowing just where the
- 18:43Speaker 2: dense population, I'm I gotta say it's going to be
- 18:48Speaker 2: lower this year, substantially low. I mean, well maybe not substantially,
- 18:53Speaker 2: but I lower ten people lower at least, well area.
- 19:01Speaker 1: Part of this went in. You know, what would numbers
- 19:05Speaker 1: look like for arkhun versus Alliance versus Sealed where we're
- 19:10Speaker 1: all there some interesting thought process, but we will soon
- 19:14Speaker 1: find out.
- 19:14Speaker 2: Boys, and I wonder you and I had an interesting conversation.
- 19:18Speaker 2: We didn't get Sheep's input on it. Maybe I want
- 19:21Speaker 2: I want Sheep's input now. So with the new ascension rules,
- 19:26Speaker 2: I know Sheep, you don't care personally, you could give
- 19:29Speaker 2: two squirts. But with the new ascension rules, will this
- 19:33Speaker 2: possibly chase some people away? Because oh, I was going
- 19:37Speaker 2: to borrow a friend from a deck, or I was
- 19:39Speaker 2: going to borrow a deck from a friend, and now
- 19:41Speaker 2: if I ascend it, they can't play it at VTS anymore.
- 19:46Speaker 2: Therefore they're no longer going to borrow me said deck.
- 19:50Speaker 3: And I don't think that's going to have attendance at all.
- 19:54Speaker 1: No, I don't think that I was one hundred percent
- 19:58Speaker 1: with Sheep here, honestly, especially for ARCon, you're looking at
- 20:01Speaker 1: two decks for ARCon. I know Josh can go out
- 20:05Speaker 1: and put out that there's eight, but you're really looking
- 20:07Speaker 1: at three decks times two in order to make the
- 20:11Speaker 1: different pods. It's really more three pods, and it's a
- 20:14Speaker 1: select group for Alliance.
- 20:17Speaker 2: But we're looking at ARCon I didn't even I know, but.
- 20:21Speaker 1: That's where like, that's why he came up with That's
- 20:24Speaker 1: why he came up with eight. And then looking across
- 20:26Speaker 1: the ten vaults, we're looking at eighty decks and it's
- 20:30Speaker 1: just not that amount. If you're looking at two decks
- 20:33Speaker 1: times here's our five, you're looking at ten decks across
- 20:36Speaker 1: the US vaults. Do ten decks have somewhat of an impact? Sure?
- 20:40Speaker 1: But is it more even localized from the east coast
- 20:43Speaker 1: all the way to the west coast from beginning to
- 20:45Speaker 1: end with the vaults, I think you're going to see
- 20:47Speaker 1: that range, and I think there are more than ten
- 20:49Speaker 1: decks that are viable. So I think it has an impact.
- 20:54Speaker 1: I think it's good for the game, but I don't
- 20:55Speaker 1: think that it has a monster impact. Because we had
- 20:58Speaker 1: actually taken a step further with and we had talked
- 21:01Speaker 1: what about going ahead and qualifying the top four just
- 21:04Speaker 1: hypothetical qualifying the top four for worlds and then elimiting those.
- 21:07Speaker 1: Now all of a sudden, you have four decks instead
- 21:10Speaker 1: of two, so you're doubling that. Do you go of
- 21:13Speaker 1: the top eight and eight times you know you're ten?
- 21:17Speaker 1: That would be there in the US five so forty decks.
- 21:21Speaker 1: I don't know where that sweet spot is. But it's
- 21:23Speaker 1: just an interesting thought process to kind of walk through
- 21:30Speaker 1: what we can I mean, because we can bring this
- 21:34Speaker 1: back to Final Refrain. Final Refrain, you saw thirty two
- 21:37Speaker 1: solid decks being played, but it was across it was online,
- 21:40Speaker 1: it was across the world, and they were being borrowed.
- 21:44Speaker 1: Will you see that, well.
- 21:47Speaker 2: You see decks now going forward?
- 21:49Speaker 1: Oh yeah, I think there's a number of people still
- 21:51Speaker 1: borrow because I can't make it to a vault or
- 21:53Speaker 1: I have more than one. Again, there are multiple there
- 21:56Speaker 1: are people who own multiple decks that fall into that
- 22:00Speaker 1: a tier versus an S tier. Is a enough to
- 22:03Speaker 1: be able to make it in the top, Yes, I mean.
- 22:08Speaker 2: Cheap is a enough to make it into the tap?
- 22:12Speaker 3: Sometimes it is.
- 22:14Speaker 1: It comes down to your matchups when you're going through.
- 22:17Speaker 1: Sometimes you just end up with a cleaner line than others.
- 22:21Speaker 1: Even looking at even looking at the Final Refrain, I
- 22:23Speaker 1: would argue that who was matched up And there was
- 22:27Speaker 1: some feedback about oh it was single one and done. Yes,
- 22:31Speaker 1: it was a bummer that I got matched up. To
- 22:32Speaker 1: be honest, I think they did it really well. Single matchup,
- 22:34Speaker 1: you win or you lose, and we move on. And
- 22:36Speaker 1: that's okay. If you're looking to do a double elimination
- 22:40Speaker 1: or something else, it just gets much much longer. This
- 22:43Speaker 1: was very fitting with March Madness basketball, where that first
- 22:47Speaker 1: day or two there's just so much happening to watch,
- 22:51Speaker 1: and so I really like the first round of Final Refrain.
- 22:53Speaker 1: There were a lot of matches and yeah, you pull
- 22:56Speaker 1: it or you don't.
- 22:58Speaker 2: Well, with everyone being for Malak across the world, it
- 23:02Speaker 2: was difficult at time.
- 23:03Speaker 1: Frame for tim. Yeah, but think about all the casters
- 23:07Speaker 1: who are there, who are recording. I mean again, the
- 23:09Speaker 1: media team and the casters did a phenomenal job for
- 23:12Speaker 1: Final Refrains. I give them true props. But as it
- 23:15Speaker 1: went on for the events, you were still scheduling across
- 23:20Speaker 1: international lines. But it worked out. You just had a
- 23:23Speaker 1: higher proportion of games that were played on the weekends
- 23:27Speaker 1: versus necessarily during the week Yeah.
- 23:32Speaker 2: I just I don't know how. I mean, I have
- 23:35Speaker 2: to imagine we don't see the Bandolas of the world.
- 23:40Speaker 2: I have to imagine we don't see I think you
- 23:43Speaker 2: can see it, and then just wins depending goes on. Well, right,
- 23:49Speaker 2: but okay, Pastor s.
- 23:51Speaker 1: Will be played in one again. Donkey Forge, if I'm correct,
- 23:55Speaker 1: should be from the Netherlands. That seems to be the area.
- 23:59Speaker 1: And if you're looking, there should be a German, there
- 24:01Speaker 1: should be a French vault.
- 24:05Speaker 2: Well, they'll at least be there will at least be
- 24:07Speaker 2: a Nationals.
- 24:09Speaker 1: I know we.
- 24:11Speaker 3: We they have all those and yeah, we have be
- 24:18Speaker 3: saved for that play group to play it at their stuff.
- 24:21Speaker 3: That makes sense. I don't know. I was just just
- 24:25Speaker 3: thinking it's interesting where we used to say, I don't
- 24:30Speaker 3: know the and I used to say that there were
- 24:32Speaker 3: no S decks.
- 24:35Speaker 1: I wonder if that's true.
- 24:37Speaker 3: Not true anymore because the top tier stuff is so Yeah.
- 24:43Speaker 1: But I think that there are some decks. It's still
- 24:47Speaker 1: a very very small amount.
- 24:49Speaker 2: But what what would be the S decks cheap? I
- 24:54Speaker 2: know you're going to say Pastor?
- 24:56Speaker 3: I feel that is yeah, even those all those decks
- 25:00Speaker 3: technically have a hole, and I'm right, like, yes.
- 25:09Speaker 2: I mean yes, I mean Pete has a deck that
- 25:13Speaker 2: beat up past are pretty good. The only problem is
- 25:15Speaker 2: it's got to make it through the rest of the field.
- 25:18Speaker 2: Then that might be the bigger issue. It does. It
- 25:22Speaker 2: does shut down Pastor nicely, but will it shut down
- 25:24Speaker 2: the rest of the field, And then answer is maybe
- 25:26Speaker 2: maybe not.
- 25:28Speaker 3: Well.
- 25:28Speaker 1: So here's the thing about Pastor that I think a
- 25:31Speaker 1: lot of people miss both Geistid mars On Tamed. Immediately.
- 25:36Speaker 1: People look and see, okay, it's got double winds of death,
- 25:39Speaker 1: key abduction, double key abduction. But what really is missing
- 25:44Speaker 1: is that it is a very very very high high ceiling.
- 25:48Speaker 1: With the double doctors, UFOs, replay pod your ironics, rebel them,
- 25:53Speaker 1: Mars can go absolutely off. That's what's there. You have
- 25:58Speaker 1: options in order to be able to to purge key
- 26:01Speaker 1: pieces and to be able to eliminate things. I will
- 26:05Speaker 1: actually say the I was playing a Master in the
- 26:09Speaker 1: open and the target was able to target basically pushed
- 26:17Speaker 1: through and then grab the winds of Death. And while
- 26:21Speaker 1: winds of Death would have been problematic for me the
- 26:24Speaker 1: cursed Tomb, so playing Curse Tom and then dropping winds
- 26:27Speaker 1: of Death to wipe out thirteen of the cards that
- 26:29Speaker 1: were on board, that does something to a deck. So
- 26:36Speaker 1: the Geistoid with the elimination and the purge that can
- 26:38Speaker 1: actually come from it is definitely something. But you also
- 26:42Speaker 1: have the key cheet with spooky charge, you have the
- 26:45Speaker 1: nep seat. There you have the haunting, which to just
- 26:48Speaker 1: throw out some creatures and gain amber. So there are
- 26:52Speaker 1: lots of different lines for it to take. But notice
- 26:56Speaker 1: Pastor does not have any hard r It's amber control
- 27:00Speaker 1: is pretty limited. You get skeletal, more mook. So there
- 27:07Speaker 1: there are lines, there are things that it can do,
- 27:11Speaker 1: but putting everything into the archives, there's only so many
- 27:14Speaker 1: decks that have the archive hate. If we look anything
- 27:18Speaker 1: f f G it does, it just doesn't have an
- 27:21Speaker 1: impact on it, which is why we can look at
- 27:24Speaker 1: some of the newer decks.
- 27:25Speaker 2: But look, some of the chant is saying ban Dola
- 27:28Speaker 2: is ban Dola s S tiered deck.
- 27:34Speaker 1: Prob.
- 27:35Speaker 2: I don't feel it is. It's I mean it's it's
- 27:40Speaker 2: high up there. For maybe there are still no S
- 27:42Speaker 2: tier decks.
- 27:43Speaker 3: I don't know.
- 27:44Speaker 2: But Van Dola's lost plenty of games. Well okay, but.
- 27:49Speaker 1: Are you considering require like no losses sure, because that
- 27:55Speaker 1: that I don't see.
- 27:57Speaker 2: It's had high level losses. I mean it it didn't.
- 28:02Speaker 2: It didn't win worlds.
- 28:04Speaker 1: Sure.
- 28:05Speaker 2: The only the only thing you give Pastor kind of
- 28:08Speaker 2: a pass on is that it wasn't involved in worlds,
- 28:12Speaker 2: So we can't really say that like, oh, you know,
- 28:15Speaker 2: it didn't win, So it's not as here.
- 28:17Speaker 1: Pastor was involved in Worlds. It was in the Open
- 28:20Speaker 1: and it took second, right, So.
- 28:23Speaker 2: I don't know, it wasn't involved.
- 28:24Speaker 1: It was.
- 28:25Speaker 2: It was involved in the Arkon Open, it was not
- 28:28Speaker 2: involved in Worlds. There are two very different things.
- 28:31Speaker 1: I would argue that you had some very very very
- 28:34Speaker 1: good decks in the Arkon Open.
- 28:36Speaker 2: But you didn't have world level decks in the Open.
- 28:40Speaker 3: That is not correct. Was over there?
- 28:43Speaker 1: Yeah, Pastor as was over there and it didn't win.
- 28:46Speaker 1: That's what I'm saying, is like right there, that should
- 28:49Speaker 1: I mean, yes, maybe that's the argument is that it's
- 28:51Speaker 1: not as tire, but it just it ran into something
- 28:54Speaker 1: that could go ahead and disrupt its plan, and that's
- 28:57Speaker 1: it's going to have issues. Looking at Bandola playing against Bandola,
- 29:03Speaker 1: I will tell you it is absolutely brutal. I don't know.
- 29:10Speaker 1: I can it lose, sure, But I do think that
- 29:13Speaker 1: both of those fall into s tear for me, and
- 29:16Speaker 1: maybe that's where I'm just wrong, But.
- 29:19Speaker 2: I don't know. I just Bandola went to every Vault
- 29:22Speaker 2: tour last year. What what did it win? Two or three?
- 29:29Speaker 3: I think it only one one? I don't know. I
- 29:32Speaker 3: don't actually track that stuff close enough to know.
- 29:34Speaker 2: One Rose, it got June her Worlds, and it got
- 29:40Speaker 2: Can't Marrow Worlds? Right, yeah, yeah, so did they get
- 29:49Speaker 2: I think it did. Did it got Mike in the
- 29:51Speaker 2: Worlds too?
- 29:51Speaker 1: Right?
- 29:54Speaker 2: Who?
- 29:54Speaker 1: And I.
- 29:57Speaker 3: Yes, he played in world It did that at Canadian Nationals.
- 30:01Speaker 2: Oh so okay, so one two? So I don't know.
- 30:06Speaker 1: Yeah, I mean so you can see flicks over here
- 30:09Speaker 1: saying uh, a deck can be S tier and have
- 30:11Speaker 1: bad matchups. I agree with that S tier means it
- 30:14Speaker 1: is above A which is extremely viable worth playing it vaults.
- 30:18Speaker 1: But I think the definition of what S tier is
- 30:21Speaker 1: is really the hinge point, and that's probably what needs
- 30:24Speaker 1: to be clearly defined. So when Z would talk about
- 30:28Speaker 1: S tier and she when we're looking at S tier,
- 30:32Speaker 1: that's not just that it's what we consider as a
- 30:38Speaker 1: I don't know that definition for S tier is really
- 30:41Speaker 1: important in my opinion.
- 30:42Speaker 2: Well, according to it's definition, itself representing the highest rank
- 30:49Speaker 2: signifying the best or most desirable and right now.
- 30:53Speaker 1: Yeah, now, yeah, that's that's bandola and that's faster.
- 31:00Speaker 2: There are S tier decks back of the day. Then
- 31:01Speaker 2: if that's the definition we're using.
- 31:04Speaker 3: Probably yeah, I mean yeah, I think the the gap
- 31:12Speaker 3: between the toppest stuff and the mid top stuff is.
- 31:17Speaker 2: Bigger before.
- 31:21Speaker 3: Yeah, that the rarity edge case stuff makes way stronger
- 31:28Speaker 3: decks because it's it's you know, like in the Code
- 31:32Speaker 3: of Days and sure, the sets were a little bigger.
- 31:34Speaker 3: So it was like, could I get the same rare
- 31:36Speaker 3: multiple times? Now it's do I get the rare rares
- 31:40Speaker 3: with an enhancement on them to make the stuff.
- 31:43Speaker 2: Even more gross?
- 31:45Speaker 1: Yeah, it is, say a lottery pick for one hundred percent. Sure,
- 31:50Speaker 1: but when you hit it, these decks are ridiculous, not unbeautiful,
- 31:56Speaker 1: but but but pitcher. Now we're putting them into it
- 32:00Speaker 1: l system where they have to lose twice. And statistically speaking,
- 32:07Speaker 1: these S tier decks do have a higher probability of
- 32:09Speaker 1: being able to be successful. You still have a draw,
- 32:13Speaker 1: you still have the pilot and people who have to
- 32:15Speaker 1: be able to run it, but you have a higher probability.
- 32:18Speaker 1: And again that's when you're coming to a vault to whur.
- 32:21Speaker 1: When you're playing competitive, you don't want to come in with, hey,
- 32:24Speaker 1: here's an easy matchup a fifty to fifty. If you're
- 32:28Speaker 1: not playing something that's broken. It's you got to push
- 32:32Speaker 1: harder for it.
- 32:35Speaker 2: I keep I feel like every time in q Forge,
- 32:38Speaker 2: when something comes out that's really really good, we all
- 32:41Speaker 2: just go it's broken.
- 32:42Speaker 1: It's broken good until that gets beated.
- 32:45Speaker 2: But that's well. I mean, we've only really honestly had
- 32:51Speaker 2: one cent one set since.
- 32:55Speaker 3: We never said what was broken.
- 32:57Speaker 2: Yeah, that's not true at all.
- 33:02Speaker 3: Yeah, guys might not much agreed that Woe was about right?
- 33:08Speaker 1: What was about right it? It actually allowed a few
- 33:12Speaker 1: decks still to be to remain viable, but at the
- 33:16Speaker 1: same time it pushed a higher probability that Woe was
- 33:20Speaker 1: going to be successful. Gr just broke that wide open
- 33:23Speaker 1: and said I could care less what you're going to
- 33:25Speaker 1: do well, and we're blowing everything out of the water.
- 33:30Speaker 1: I also disagree about the amount of sets. Now, you
- 33:32Speaker 1: could make an argument that here's your tournament legal sets,
- 33:36Speaker 1: here's what has been released. But you had Amber Skies,
- 33:40Speaker 1: you had Talk, we had MMM, you had Discovery. Not
- 33:45Speaker 1: all of these are tournament worthy and viable and producing
- 33:48Speaker 1: at a very very high rate. But there have been
- 33:51Speaker 1: a lot of sets that have been released. Well, okay,
- 33:57Speaker 1: that's a whole another thing. I'm a where Wookie, And
- 34:01Speaker 1: again I'd much rather lean into let's do two sets
- 34:04Speaker 1: a year and do them well. But that's just where
- 34:07Speaker 1: I am.
- 34:08Speaker 2: Well, but the problem now is you released gr so
- 34:11Speaker 2: you have to match that energy.
- 34:14Speaker 1: Well. And so there was a comment in our discords
- 34:17Speaker 1: earlier this week that came out, do we need to
- 34:20Speaker 1: really be in a for our vaults? Do we need
- 34:24Speaker 1: to have what was our Vault Warrior idea, and that is,
- 34:29Speaker 1: here's the day where these sets are going to be legal,
- 34:34Speaker 1: these sets are not. And then from there we're going
- 34:37Speaker 1: to go ahead and dig into a second day with
- 34:40Speaker 1: here's this next grouping of sets and then sealed the
- 34:44Speaker 1: combination of all that.
- 34:45Speaker 3: They certainly can't bother running an event that doesn't include
- 34:50Speaker 3: the sets that they have printed recently like that, that's
- 34:55Speaker 3: just dumb. Wow. That is at a Vault tour as
- 35:00Speaker 3: a serious event. I mean now as some side event
- 35:03Speaker 3: or some you know, like the adaptive folks are like, well,
- 35:07Speaker 3: we want to do adapt event. We only want to
- 35:08Speaker 3: play f FG sets. Yeah whatever, but gg to say, hey,
- 35:14Speaker 3: our stuff's too good, We're gonna run an event where
- 35:17Speaker 3: you only can use your old crap. So sheep can
- 35:19Speaker 3: feel real good about owning fraud. That's that's just dumb.
- 35:23Speaker 1: Oh no, No, I'm one hundred percent in agreement with you,
- 35:26Speaker 1: But I will say it was brought up, it was
- 35:28Speaker 1: talked about for online events and for other items. But
- 35:30Speaker 1: when we're we're actually talking here that for Vault Warrior,
- 35:34Speaker 1: the idea was not to go ahead and just have
- 35:36Speaker 1: old sets. It was actually to lean into the newer sets.
- 35:40Speaker 1: And so the older sets is what they're limiting. That's
- 35:43Speaker 1: a whole nother talent.
- 35:46Speaker 3: Now in that quality that exists now, that's I feel
- 35:51Speaker 3: is even wider than it used to be.
- 35:54Speaker 1: I am with you. I'm just saying that the idea
- 35:57Speaker 1: for Vault Warrior was brought up again. So it's interesting.
- 36:01Speaker 3: I just don't see how it fixes any of the
- 36:03Speaker 3: current problems. Like what Vault Warrior was all about was like,
- 36:06Speaker 3: how do we kick the overpowered code of stuff out?
- 36:10Speaker 1: Yes, and so what that would do now that's just
- 36:13Speaker 1: not a thing. Yeah, but you're not worried about CODA
- 36:16Speaker 1: right now. What you're worried about is GR and so
- 36:19Speaker 1: you simply push.
- 36:20Speaker 3: Not that worried about GR. It's good. Faster is really good.
- 36:25Speaker 1: I agree, and I agree of both accounts, But I'm
- 36:28Speaker 1: telling you a lot of people in the community are.
- 36:30Speaker 1: In my opinion, I think that you fix it kind
- 36:32Speaker 1: of going forward with some of this stuts. But I
- 36:35Speaker 1: also think that if you really were worried about that,
- 36:38Speaker 1: you could do the Vault Warrior, where essentially woe becomes
- 36:41Speaker 1: here's one legal set and then now it's GR and
- 36:45Speaker 1: then we're out of GR. That's how you could phase
- 36:47Speaker 1: it out if you were going to go ahead.
- 36:49Speaker 2: And I don't think I don't think it's it that's dumb,
- 36:53Speaker 2: because then at that point, let's just let's just do
- 36:56Speaker 2: what I originally said and just ascend to the top
- 36:58Speaker 2: two decks forever, because why.
- 37:03Speaker 3: Would you even.
- 37:05Speaker 2: I don't know how that comes into this conversation. Well,
- 37:08Speaker 2: it's a way, but then you're you're it's a way
- 37:11Speaker 2: to limit what's out there, right, and it's a way
- 37:13Speaker 2: to bring new stuff in. Correct, If that's this is
- 37:16Speaker 2: what I'm hearing, It's a way to eliminate the top
- 37:19Speaker 2: most broken ship.
- 37:20Speaker 3: No, no, yeah, sure, yeap, it eliminates the top most.
- 37:29Speaker 1: If I'm wrong, the.
- 37:32Speaker 2: Next one, right, tell me where I'm wrong, then, Jared,
- 37:35Speaker 2: tell me where It's not about just eliminating.
- 37:37Speaker 3: I think you have ruined why the game where nobody
- 37:42Speaker 3: will buy decks anymore, because we have literally, if we're
- 37:47Speaker 3: looking at playing for a vault and you want to
- 37:50Speaker 3: be competitive, we have such a low probability of being
- 37:55Speaker 3: able to go out and open it up as.
- 37:57Speaker 1: Is, We're gonna go ahead and turn we have all
- 38:00Speaker 1: these paper weights. Now I'm going to turn my top
- 38:03Speaker 1: two decks into paper weights. That nothing nothing like no
- 38:08Speaker 1: decks were one dollar digital whatevers. Yeah, okay, take them away,
- 38:13Speaker 1: but at the price and the right that we I
- 38:18Speaker 1: just like that that if they've made it where you're
- 38:23Speaker 1: going to lose your best act, then you've wrecked the
- 38:27Speaker 1: secondary market. You've the secondary market's already wrecked. It's already bad.
- 38:33Speaker 1: There's no good, there's nothing.
- 38:36Speaker 3: At all.
- 38:37Speaker 1: I won't exist at all, which is even worse.
- 38:39Speaker 2: Or when it exists more because now people are like,
- 38:42Speaker 2: all right, my top decks on. So now I'm gonna
- 38:44Speaker 2: go find something different.
- 38:46Speaker 3: No, because people want more than a hundred bucks, because
- 38:48Speaker 3: you're just going to lose it.
- 38:49Speaker 1: In theory, maybe.
- 38:55Speaker 2: I mean, because it's all just doing is just a
- 38:58Speaker 2: different form of deck ascension, except it just to sends
- 39:02Speaker 2: a whole set, but.
- 39:04Speaker 1: There's nothing to be gained by it. Like the whole
- 39:07Speaker 1: thing for other games is if that deck goes ahead
- 39:10Speaker 1: and becomes super successful, there's something you're just saying, sorry, goodbye.
- 39:15Speaker 1: There's nothing to be gained by it, So why invest
- 39:18Speaker 1: any money in the game.
- 39:20Speaker 2: Well, then where's the where's the investment if you're if
- 39:25Speaker 2: you're ascending sets, because because the Vault Warrior idea is
- 39:28Speaker 2: essentially as sended sets, where sets just became nothing.
- 39:32Speaker 3: Well but that was only for those events.
- 39:35Speaker 1: Now it was just for a vaultable event.
- 39:37Speaker 2: I thought you enough enough. Ever, but they when they're
- 39:40Speaker 2: talking about it in the chat, and I saw that
- 39:42Speaker 2: they're tired. They're talking about Vault tours are now basically
- 39:45Speaker 2: the Vault Warrior format. That's what they're talking about.
- 39:49Speaker 3: I mean, like, I think we go back to what
- 39:51Speaker 3: we talked about the other day. It's our counton sealed
- 39:54Speaker 3: one day and alliance and sealed the next day.
- 39:57Speaker 1: I love love it.
- 40:00Speaker 2: If if if you had ar Con and then the
- 40:02Speaker 2: buy get three, pick one and you like make your choice.
- 40:06Speaker 3: Out, there be a one hundred and fifty dollars ticket
- 40:09Speaker 3: for the weekend.
- 40:10Speaker 2: I'm in I'm perfectly fine with that. Give me six decks,
- 40:13Speaker 2: I'm perfectly fine with doing all of that. So the
- 40:17Speaker 2: point of having any of these decks because we never
- 40:18Speaker 2: play ARCon with them.
- 40:21Speaker 1: I mean, but the sweet spot for the game, Yeah,
- 40:25Speaker 1: the sweet spot for the game is in sealed. But
- 40:29Speaker 1: it comes back to will attendance be higher if we're
- 40:32Speaker 1: if we're dropping down and you're in the twenties, Yeah,
- 40:40Speaker 1: I don't.
- 40:42Speaker 3: The what the well, it's vaults not breaking even, but
- 40:50Speaker 3: I wonder at what point do they go we're done
- 40:56Speaker 3: running vaults. I wonder what that population numbers.
- 41:02Speaker 1: Hopefully we won't see it. We have a good community.
- 41:04Speaker 1: It's really a fun time. But man, that would be sad.
- 41:09Speaker 2: I think that would essentially probably be the death of
- 41:12Speaker 2: the game.
- 41:16Speaker 3: Mm hmm, yeah, it would be hard.
- 41:20Speaker 2: It would be hard to come even though.
- 41:22Speaker 3: I'm going, I'm only getting to go to one vault
- 41:24Speaker 3: this year, if like. But I mean, we made it
- 41:29Speaker 3: through the first proxy death of the game.
- 41:36Speaker 1: We made it through the loss of the algorithm, we
- 41:38Speaker 1: made it through the pandemic.
- 41:40Speaker 2: We like, but this was all thoughts of its Well,
- 41:45Speaker 2: it'll come back someday, It'll come back someday. It'll come
- 41:49Speaker 2: back someday.
- 41:50Speaker 1: But there have been other games that have been revamped
- 41:53Speaker 1: or picked up by someone else that's more like essentially
- 41:56Speaker 1: our community members. I know we had we talked for
- 42:00Speaker 1: a key chain, but even Keychain and the community run
- 42:03Speaker 1: ope that they are throwing together, which we'll get to
- 42:06Speaker 1: not today but in the future. Like the community as
- 42:11Speaker 1: a whole honestly can do a better job at times.
- 42:14Speaker 1: We saw that with Star Wars Minis. That's where it's
- 42:16Speaker 1: being run right now. So is that what this is
- 42:20Speaker 1: eventually going to come to?
- 42:21Speaker 2: But I could see it thinking about Star Wars. Okay,
- 42:24Speaker 2: Star Wars Minis is one thing, but Star Wars Minis
- 42:26Speaker 2: is dead. Nobody like lays claim to that. How do
- 42:30Speaker 2: you run an event on something where there's a there's
- 42:35Speaker 2: a company that still owns the game.
- 42:40Speaker 1: Well, no, it'll have to it'll have the sunset first,
- 42:43Speaker 1: and then once the game has been sunset and lost
- 42:46Speaker 1: and not being produced, then someone will pick it up.
- 42:48Speaker 1: The difference is for Star Wars mini Is, what we
- 42:50Speaker 1: did is we took basically your cars, because there's a
- 42:53Speaker 1: figure and a card, and the figure stayed the same,
- 42:56Speaker 1: but you basically created a digital version of the that
- 43:00Speaker 1: was different or modified, and so that allowed us, as
- 43:04Speaker 1: you know, homegrown people to be able to modify, change it,
- 43:07Speaker 1: create those sets. It was used within the community, and
- 43:10Speaker 1: that was competitive group of players who went ahead and
- 43:12Speaker 1: did that.
- 43:13Speaker 2: Sure, I mean the same thing. It's how Star Wars
- 43:16Speaker 2: CCG is still around.
- 43:17Speaker 1: It's yeah, but I don't see that as I don't
- 43:20Speaker 1: see that happening with the algorithmically generated decks here. That
- 43:27Speaker 1: would be really challenging to do.
- 43:29Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean, yeah, it would be. But I mean, yeah,
- 43:34Speaker 2: if you lose Vaults, I don't think key Forge is
- 43:37Speaker 2: much far behind it. I mean I don't. There's there's
- 43:41Speaker 2: no we're already not given many reasons to come to
- 43:44Speaker 2: our local store and play key Forge, and we're all
- 43:50Speaker 2: ready and then you lose the big events.
- 43:54Speaker 3: Well, I mean that definitely kills key Forge for us.
- 43:57Speaker 2: Sure, but what I mean, what what's left.
- 44:01Speaker 3: Playing a good game with your friends.
- 44:06Speaker 1: He's really saying, why would you not play another board
- 44:08Speaker 1: game or something else that's there? And I get that
- 44:11Speaker 1: because what this game is and everything's drawing your attention
- 44:16Speaker 1: in time, but there's always a new hot toy, So
- 44:19Speaker 1: I get it. I get the chance.
- 44:21Speaker 3: I don't know.
- 44:22Speaker 1: I don't know what the answer is.
- 44:24Speaker 2: I mean, it's just and again, it's when it comes
- 44:26Speaker 2: down to it, when it comes down to key Forge itself. Right,
- 44:30Speaker 2: Why wouldn't I go buy a board game which I
- 44:33Speaker 2: buy kind of once and done and I can have
- 44:35Speaker 2: fun with over and over and over again instead of
- 44:39Speaker 2: key Forager. It's like, well, I can buy new stuff again.
- 44:43Speaker 1: This is where this fel comes in the chance. I mean,
- 44:47Speaker 1: while I have absolutely skunked the last two weeks, both
- 44:52Speaker 1: in the decks that I've pulled and then the amount
- 44:54Speaker 1: of wins that I've had, there's still a chance. Like
- 44:57Speaker 1: I'm hanging out with friends, it's still a better investment
- 45:00Speaker 1: then going to movies. I enjoy the time, I enjoy talking,
- 45:03Speaker 1: and you know, just I enjoy the process of throwing
- 45:08Speaker 1: some cards down for a short period of time. Would
- 45:12Speaker 1: it make it more enjoyable if they were more competitive
- 45:16Speaker 1: and I could go ahead and get more use out
- 45:18Speaker 1: of them. Sure, but I'm okay surviving at this point.
- 45:23Speaker 2: That's what Alliance was supposed to do. It's supposed to
- 45:25Speaker 2: make all your old decks good. It didn't happen for
- 45:31Speaker 2: all the bro Sorry spoiler alert, Yeah, it didn't happen.
- 45:36Speaker 2: An alliance just became more decrepit than ever.
- 45:40Speaker 1: And I don't I don't want to lean to that.
- 45:42Speaker 1: But if our numbers are decreasing for the vaults, do
- 45:45Speaker 1: we see hitting how low? Maybe that's the question. How
- 45:53Speaker 1: low will our ARCon numbers go this year for our
- 45:57Speaker 1: US vaults and how low will our Alliance numbers go?
- 46:01Speaker 1: Because I think we had one that was sixteen or
- 46:03Speaker 1: seventeen people last year, some people qualified after hitting the
- 46:07Speaker 1: second round was done?
- 46:10Speaker 2: Uh in US? Yeah, I didn't think we had that
- 46:14Speaker 2: loaded were one.
- 46:17Speaker 3: That didn't even have eight I really no, No, we
- 46:21Speaker 3: have that. But that's all right because they've stacked last year.
- 46:27Speaker 1: He's stacked.
- 46:28Speaker 3: Yeah, I I really think there's going to be four
- 46:30Speaker 3: player Alliance events this year.
- 46:33Speaker 2: They stack. They're going to stack again.
- 46:36Speaker 3: No, they.
- 46:38Speaker 1: They can't.
- 46:40Speaker 2: They've said, they've said so many different things, so many times,
- 46:43Speaker 2: and how many times do they just go, well, you know,
- 46:46Speaker 2: this is kind of what we got to do because
- 46:47Speaker 2: reasons they're going to stack. If it is twenty people,
- 46:53Speaker 2: they're going to stack, it's going it's going.
- 46:56Speaker 3: To happen at twenty.
- 46:59Speaker 2: Yeah, I think at thirty people they stack as well,
- 47:05Speaker 2: like especially because I mean.
- 47:07Speaker 3: Well, hopefully attendance is better than we think.
- 47:10Speaker 1: Yeah, hopefully they surprise it out. I just hope that
- 47:16Speaker 1: it's consistent. I mean, that's the big issue that I have,
- 47:19Speaker 1: is that it needs to be consistent. I don't think
- 47:22Speaker 1: that we should be stacking. If they said don't stack,
- 47:24Speaker 1: then we stick true and we don't stack.
- 47:26Speaker 2: When have they ever stuck true to anything they've ever said?
- 47:31Speaker 1: Yeah? Well, I mean it helps us in some regards
- 47:34Speaker 1: for the game that they're flexible and willing to be
- 47:37Speaker 1: able to justice the year goes on, But it's not great.
- 47:43Speaker 2: So I'm telling you, if you're going to Roosevelt or
- 47:45Speaker 2: if you're going to Rochester bringing a Lions deck, you're
- 47:48Speaker 2: gonna need it. You will need it. You're going to
- 47:54Speaker 2: need it. You're not gonna I highly doubt you're going
- 47:58Speaker 2: to have the Canadians this year. And then not only
- 48:03Speaker 2: on top of that, you've got it highlighted right here.
- 48:06Speaker 2: Y'all want some ball Master, y'all want some All Master
- 48:08Speaker 2: twenty five? No, the answer is no, I don't watch
- 48:13Speaker 2: your shitty Vault Master twenty five.
- 48:16Speaker 1: Yeah, don't worry, it's already there. I'm well aware.
- 48:18Speaker 2: I don't know if you miss, and if.
- 48:20Speaker 1: You miss, Josh going ahead and talking fast because of
- 48:24Speaker 1: when the update was for t r G Vault Master
- 48:29Speaker 1: twenty five will be tournament legal right away to play
- 48:36Speaker 1: at the first vault that is Rochester.
- 48:40Speaker 2: Sure does it even matter? I'm gonna take that as
- 48:49Speaker 2: a no from everyone? Does it?
- 48:51Speaker 1: It doesn't.
- 48:53Speaker 3: Here's the.
- 48:55Speaker 1: Here's the short answer, wikie, it doesn't. Snicker will try it,
- 48:58Speaker 1: but it does not make matter until it matters, meaning
- 49:04Speaker 1: one of those that people will bring it. But if
- 49:06Speaker 1: you open something that's super spicy and we don't know
- 49:10Speaker 1: what the card pool is, what's there, do you get
- 49:13Speaker 1: some shock and awe and maybe you go ahead and
- 49:15Speaker 1: take it a little bit further.
- 49:16Speaker 3: The arc because it's all reprint cards.
- 49:20Speaker 2: It's all reprint cards number one, number two. We know
- 49:22Speaker 2: they always focus heavy on creatures, involve master sets, and
- 49:27Speaker 2: you know as well as anyone that it is not
- 49:31Speaker 2: creatures which make an art conduct ARCon work.
- 49:34Speaker 1: No. No, it needs to be actions. Yeah.
- 49:39Speaker 2: So will it be tournament It'll be tournament legal, but
- 49:42Speaker 2: it won't be tournament viable. There may be one or
- 49:46Speaker 2: two that's like there, you know, get get the get
- 49:52Speaker 2: the Arcon's blessing of actual goodness. But it's just it's
- 49:58Speaker 2: not It's again they just I feel like they continue
- 50:04Speaker 2: to say We've listened to you, but it's like, have
- 50:08Speaker 2: you have you listened to us at all? Because I
- 50:12Speaker 2: feel like you listen to us when you want to
- 50:14Speaker 2: and when it is convenient for you, but when it
- 50:18Speaker 2: is more difficult and things we actually want and need,
- 50:24Speaker 2: Like how long have we been asking for just fucking
- 50:26Speaker 2: ope at our local scene? We offered money to get
- 50:32Speaker 2: ope at our local scene anything.
- 50:36Speaker 1: Oh, don't worry, wookie, we have local op. Well, yeah,
- 50:42Speaker 1: I guess does that participate in buying products? Have their
- 50:46Speaker 1: own store backing on the back of the decks Cool,
- 50:49Speaker 1: we did the Mars event. Cool. We have the key,
- 50:56Speaker 1: the Discovery key chain key charms. Cool. The problem that
- 51:03Speaker 1: you're really talking about is consistency. And again, as someone
- 51:07Speaker 1: who's run and we talked about this for two plus
- 51:10Speaker 1: years at our local store, what is really important is
- 51:14Speaker 1: to show up every single week. In order to build
- 51:18Speaker 1: your long term you have to have advertising. We have
- 51:23Speaker 1: to be able to get out. There has to be
- 51:24Speaker 1: something that entices people to come back.
- 51:27Speaker 2: We've had more, we've been advertising at games Universe for
- 51:31Speaker 2: two years.
- 51:32Speaker 1: I understand, but I'm saying like there has to be something.
- 51:35Speaker 2: There, has something adenticing people to come back. Yeah, there
- 51:39Speaker 2: has to be all those in a while.
- 51:42Speaker 1: But it can't just be here that's coming from us
- 51:46Speaker 1: as players. The game has.
- 51:49Speaker 2: Here's another ship deck that you probably are going to
- 51:51Speaker 2: go in your pile of shame, probably not going to
- 51:54Speaker 2: be unwrapped, and uh, it's got a cool stamp on
- 51:59Speaker 2: the back.
- 51:59Speaker 1: Half fun, we're we're buying and then we're playing where
- 52:04Speaker 1: we're not going ahead and having unwrapped.
- 52:10Speaker 2: Right, I mean, and Discovery, I mean, what a failure
- 52:14Speaker 2: that thing was. I don't even know how that's gonna
- 52:17Speaker 2: be any fun for new players because any player that's like,
- 52:20Speaker 2: I'm gonna buy this Discovery deck is just gonna get
- 52:22Speaker 2: mallywomped by anyone playing them well.
- 52:26Speaker 1: I mean discovery, and Discovery is offering something and as
- 52:29Speaker 1: a way to be able to introduce the game, it
- 52:32Speaker 1: reduces the complexity level versus what you are seeing in
- 52:37Speaker 1: Amber Skies or grimm reminders or woe or tokens of
- 52:40Speaker 1: change like. So it was needed. It was desperately needed, competitive, viable,
- 52:47Speaker 1: no but you're really you're really looking at two very
- 52:50Speaker 1: very very different groups.
- 52:52Speaker 2: But you you're having fun to want to come back
- 52:55Speaker 2: to a game.
- 52:57Speaker 1: Well, I can go ahead and have fun with Discovery.
- 52:59Speaker 1: It doesn't mean if we're playing Discovery and Discovery, I
- 53:02Speaker 1: can have fun.
- 53:03Speaker 2: You can have fun because you know the game, you've
- 53:05Speaker 2: played the game, you're familiar with the game. You you
- 53:08Speaker 2: know this is like a one and done type deal.
- 53:10Speaker 2: But if this is your first experience and you're going
- 53:13Speaker 2: in on Discovery and just getting your teeth kicked in,
- 53:18Speaker 2: I guess where is that fun?
- 53:20Speaker 3: Well?
- 53:20Speaker 1: I guess here. Here's the thing. You're thinking that Discovery
- 53:23Speaker 1: is going to be played against all other sets and
- 53:25Speaker 1: in that manner, yeah, Discovery is not going to be there,
- 53:27Speaker 1: but just Discovery against Discovery having people who haven't played
- 53:32Speaker 1: it is I think that it would still provide a
- 53:35Speaker 1: good gaming experience. I can't say that it's not.
- 53:39Speaker 2: M I have my doubts. We'll find out next week.
- 53:43Speaker 1: We again, we've all we've opened, we've opened some of
- 53:46Speaker 1: the decks, we've looked at, and we've played. That's that's
- 53:48Speaker 1: not necessarily the issue here. But yeah, and did you
- 53:52Speaker 1: did you have fun?
- 53:54Speaker 3: Yeah?
- 53:54Speaker 1: Because I was with my friends playing key for it.
- 53:56Speaker 2: Did you no, no? Did you have fun playing the
- 53:59Speaker 2: dack or were you incredibly frustrated playing the deck?
- 54:04Speaker 1: It was somewhere in the middle most of the games.
- 54:06Speaker 1: That's where it is.
- 54:07Speaker 2: I feel like you're just giving me all the non answers.
- 54:11Speaker 2: You're like, like, it was I I.
- 54:16Speaker 1: Didn't play it this past week or the week before.
- 54:19Speaker 1: To be honest, I don't remember the deck well enough.
- 54:22Speaker 1: I remember we played it.
- 54:24Speaker 2: It was a game.
- 54:25Speaker 1: But could I tell you what decks that were not
- 54:29Speaker 1: Discovery that I've played within the last month. No, there's
- 54:32Speaker 1: most of them of shame.
- 54:34Speaker 2: And we're like, hey, yeah, you're playing your pussy clock deck.
- 54:38Speaker 3: Hey, you know what.
- 54:40Speaker 1: On the puss and cocks. It's fun. It's silly fun.
- 54:45Speaker 1: And I again.
- 54:46Speaker 3: Sealed, are we just at this point.
- 54:51Speaker 1: He's there. Yeah, he's trying every week more than I do.
- 54:57Speaker 1: You're you were playing over on the side and the
- 54:58Speaker 1: other thing that I actually on the same stuff every week. Yeah.
- 55:03Speaker 1: So the question that I actually had on here was
- 55:06Speaker 1: we are two weeks out from Millennium Games Rochester, so
- 55:09Speaker 1: if you're in that area, please go. I think that
- 55:12Speaker 1: it's a wonderful experience.
- 55:13Speaker 3: Doe go have fun.
- 55:15Speaker 1: Yeah. Please, but that's for both playing key Forge, for
- 55:20Speaker 1: opening Cracking Sealed, playing ark On and Alliance, but also
- 55:23Speaker 1: for spending time with the community afterwards. I think is
- 55:27Speaker 1: all worthwhile. But my question is, boys, have you seen
- 55:30Speaker 1: anything for prising for the vaults this year? We're two
- 55:33Speaker 1: weeks away?
- 55:33Speaker 2: Well, master, what do you mean?
- 55:36Speaker 3: Nah? Well, yeah, I mean I can't see it being
- 55:41Speaker 3: anything except identical the last year's. Yeah, wide play mats
- 55:46Speaker 3: instead of the narrow playmats. I can't disagree with you either.
- 55:50Speaker 3: I just haven't seen anything, so I didn't know if
- 55:52Speaker 3: I was missing it. If I'm I'm looking forward to
- 55:55Speaker 3: like hinting gig. If you want to incentivize.
- 55:59Speaker 1: People, this is this is where don't don't tell them
- 56:05Speaker 1: what you're you're doing, because because yes, let people show off.
- 56:08Speaker 3: There, they're not going to be happy, So don't show them.
- 56:15Speaker 3: Let's just say when you don't have prize support at
- 56:18Speaker 3: this point, it's because it's not going to overwhelm you, right,
- 56:25Speaker 3: So because it's it is worse for ticket sales to
- 56:27Speaker 3: show underwhelming prizes than it is to just let people hope.
- 56:33Speaker 1: Okay, how about this at.
- 56:34Speaker 3: The point if they release what the prizes are and
- 56:37Speaker 3: they're bad, all that does is get some locals who
- 56:42Speaker 3: were drive in to maybe go. Who cares because anybody
- 56:47Speaker 3: has already bought their tickets, right, and showing amazing prizes
- 56:52Speaker 3: just pisss off people who went, God damn, I would
- 56:56Speaker 3: have gone if I'd known they're going to be that good.
- 57:00Speaker 3: So I can't see why they would release anything.
- 57:03Speaker 1: But if they were, If if they were that good,
- 57:06Speaker 1: do you feel that we would get an increase. You
- 57:11Speaker 1: have your procrastinators, but people just sitting on the fence
- 57:14Speaker 1: and going, you know, that's a long drive, but this
- 57:17Speaker 1: prize is they look amazing.
- 57:21Speaker 3: I mean, I'm actually if they were truly amazing, and
- 57:23Speaker 3: it might met a player or two.
- 57:26Speaker 1: I know this is odd, but even the silly keys
- 57:29Speaker 1: for the Primes, well, you were talking Primes earlier. We
- 57:33Speaker 1: drove further than we normally would have to go to
- 57:37Speaker 1: some of the primes.
- 57:37Speaker 3: Because it was also World Championship invites, so you have
- 57:42Speaker 3: access to worlds you had Primes.
- 57:43Speaker 1: Yeah, I agree with you.
- 57:48Speaker 2: There was good stuff, but the Primes, the boxes, the
- 57:51Speaker 2: boxes were good stuff. The play mats were good stuff.
- 57:56Speaker 2: I'm trying to think of what else was this?
- 57:58Speaker 1: The Grim Reaper mats were not great. Man, I Wills
- 58:02Speaker 1: my favorite map. Yeah, but once you got one, it
- 58:05Speaker 1: was like, and then you give it, you give it
- 58:09Speaker 1: to somebody else wants a Grim Reaper mat. Oh I
- 58:15Speaker 1: got mine, so she Sheep gave me him. Here you go,
- 58:19Speaker 1: you can take this.
- 58:20Speaker 2: I was like, sweet grim Reaper mat.
- 58:23Speaker 1: That's how Pete's getting all of his decks.
- 58:25Speaker 2: Now Tuesday, here's some decks.
- 58:29Speaker 1: Show up every Tuesday, get some more.
- 58:32Speaker 2: None of them are worth having, but here you go.
- 58:36Speaker 2: Keep telling you we should do the win it of that.
- 58:38Speaker 2: It should be a big event. Win it or been it.
- 58:41Speaker 2: Everybody shows up with their entire collection and just plays
- 58:44Speaker 2: until they're out of decks. No, no, it's a horrible idea.
- 58:49Speaker 2: We'll sit there for years years. All right, maybe didn't
- 58:53Speaker 2: bring ten decks, but if you lose, you gotta destroy it.
- 58:59Speaker 2: Got a No, nobody wants that idea. Huh yeah fine,
- 59:07Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 59:09Speaker 1: So to kind of go here, I would like to
- 59:11Speaker 1: see surprising if what if they just surprised us in
- 59:18Speaker 1: the future, like alternate universe, ah, and they actually want
- 59:22Speaker 1: to had and put out really good prizing like not
- 59:25Speaker 1: just I'm not talking money. I'm actually talking here's boxes
- 59:29Speaker 1: or cases of product.
- 59:32Speaker 2: A Vault Master twenty five, No, not Vault.
- 59:35Speaker 1: Master of just whatever the newest set is. We don't
- 59:40Speaker 1: need to do the extra work for Vault Master. You
- 59:43Speaker 1: want to go ahead and do tags for the winners
- 59:47Speaker 1: some of your presence set that you're working on. Great,
- 59:50Speaker 1: that's a little stamp that you put on. You put
- 59:52Speaker 1: it over on the side that goes to your top
- 59:53Speaker 1: A easy to calculate. Done. But if we were to
- 59:58Speaker 1: put in a case, is that more incentive?
- 1:00:03Speaker 2: I think?
- 1:00:03Speaker 1: So we we know what other games will go ahead
- 1:00:08Speaker 1: and do.
- 1:00:15Speaker 2: I think you need some cool little trinkets that you
- 1:00:17Speaker 2: could play with that okay you why why not some?
- 1:00:21Speaker 2: Why not some? Uh? Why not some Vault Well what
- 1:00:25Speaker 2: is it? Vault Warrior. That's that's the thing they stole,
- 1:00:29Speaker 2: right yeah, Vault Warrior. Why not keys that you know,
- 1:00:33Speaker 2: Vault Warrior, Roseville Vault Warrior, Rochester Vault Warrior. I mean
- 1:00:38Speaker 2: you're pretty much putting these in the same place.
- 1:00:41Speaker 3: How many copies of keys do you need?
- 1:00:43Speaker 2: If I had a set of how many play mats
- 1:00:46Speaker 2: do you need? But yet I still use the one
- 1:00:48Speaker 2: that says I got second place at Nationals. Sure, but
- 1:00:55Speaker 2: I mean like, if you were to tell me you
- 1:00:58Speaker 2: had one that said Vault Warrior san Antonio, you wouldn't
- 1:01:03Speaker 2: use them. You didn't be like, yeah, Vaul voice is
- 1:01:05Speaker 2: what I want from when I want to It's a way.
- 1:01:08Speaker 3: To Vault Warrior san Antonio. Play mat?
- 1:01:14Speaker 2: Have I seen it does the same vault wordor does
- 1:01:16Speaker 2: it just say champion? I don't know. You come with
- 1:01:17Speaker 2: a pile of play mats every week.
- 1:01:22Speaker 3: Two that I brought from.
- 1:01:25Speaker 1: I'm the one who was trying to actually like cycle
- 1:01:28Speaker 1: through mine. She just brings the same. I don't know
- 1:01:34Speaker 1: the reason I throw this idea out. Let's say that
- 1:01:36Speaker 1: you win the lottery, just if we had money to
- 1:01:39Speaker 1: be able to put in I'm just curious, what would
- 1:01:41Speaker 1: what would people actually like? So hit us up on discord,
- 1:01:44Speaker 1: go to leave that behind?
- 1:01:45Speaker 2: Oh my god, what I like? I would like U
- 1:01:49Speaker 2: ember right, remember those uh where I'm going to this
- 1:01:52Speaker 2: conversation we have for the past, But we need word
- 1:01:57Speaker 2: token still. We need uh.
- 1:02:02Speaker 1: Like, in all seriousness, you don't want ward tokens.
- 1:02:05Speaker 2: Yes I do.
- 1:02:05Speaker 1: I don't have any any cool word tokens I have.
- 1:02:11Speaker 1: I still have the crummy cardboard ones.
- 1:02:14Speaker 2: I don't have any.
- 1:02:15Speaker 1: Cool you can just be like Loco Car and use cardboard.
- 1:02:20Speaker 2: No, I hate those things. And he does it to
- 1:02:23Speaker 2: piss people off, which it's just he he does. He
- 1:02:28Speaker 2: does it to be different and just it's like trolling.
- 1:02:33Speaker 2: You're not trolling anyone because nobody cares. It's just like whatever.
- 1:02:38Speaker 2: It was funny for a little bit, and now it's
- 1:02:41Speaker 2: just like whatever now you have now you just have
- 1:02:44Speaker 2: to explain it. Be like that's Loco Car. Uh, he
- 1:02:47Speaker 2: does weird ship because he thinks he's trolling people, right, yeah,
- 1:02:53Speaker 2: now you just have to explain it to people. I'm
- 1:02:55Speaker 2: trying to think out one of thoes we had ward
- 1:02:58Speaker 2: and in rage. Yeah no, there's no good enraged tokens
- 1:03:03Speaker 2: out there.
- 1:03:04Speaker 3: Nope. I still yeah, it's my crappy burgerer token ones.
- 1:03:08Speaker 3: And then like the fancy ones from from Luxury are
- 1:03:13Speaker 3: just too big and too expensive in my opinion. Oh
- 1:03:16Speaker 3: they're huge, pretty, but they're way too big, you.
- 1:03:20Speaker 2: Know, or some stuff that you know is branded with
- 1:03:23Speaker 2: that Vault tour, Vault Tour Roosevelt t shirts, Vault to
- 1:03:30Speaker 2: her Roosevelts. How about just vaults then.
- 1:03:39Speaker 3: Also just the expense to p I mean, like then
- 1:03:42Speaker 3: they might as well just create up Okay, maybe not
- 1:03:44Speaker 3: T shirts.
- 1:03:45Speaker 1: T shirts are tough T shirts.
- 1:03:47Speaker 3: Create just create a spreadshirt and let people buy whatever
- 1:03:50Speaker 3: they want.
- 1:03:54Speaker 2: It's almost like you could gain like this weird digital
- 1:03:57Speaker 2: currency and then go spend it somewhere.
- 1:04:01Speaker 1: Yeah, but that's but then.
- 1:04:02Speaker 3: They have to make the digital have to pay have value.
- 1:04:05Speaker 1: Yeah right, I'm not honestly, I can't do it.
- 1:04:10Speaker 3: Just too much out there that they didn't create.
- 1:04:13Speaker 1: I'm actually not even saying for Gigi, just we have
- 1:04:17Speaker 1: a great community here. What do you want to see?
- 1:04:21Speaker 1: Because Marcus went ahead and brought in the sweet patches,
- 1:04:24Speaker 1: I really like those if there's.
- 1:04:26Speaker 2: Something going for you.
- 1:04:29Speaker 1: But I think if there's something that's of interest, curious,
- 1:04:33Speaker 1: get your man for someone who is going to go
- 1:04:36Speaker 1: ahead and win the lottery and play key forge, what
- 1:04:38Speaker 1: what can we go ahead and put because we can
- 1:04:40Speaker 1: make this better ourselves.
- 1:04:41Speaker 2: The pins are also worth it very much. So I
- 1:04:44Speaker 2: like the pins, I like the patches. I'm trying to think,
- 1:04:52Speaker 2: like there's just there's my list. Tokens are all like
- 1:04:56Speaker 2: always at the top of my list. I mean expect
- 1:05:00Speaker 2: actually now you have you could have, I mean, you
- 1:05:03Speaker 2: could have super cool archived cards that aren't actual cards.
- 1:05:08Speaker 2: That kind of frustrates me a little bit that we're saying.
- 1:05:11Speaker 3: The big, heavy duty like poker chip things.
- 1:05:14Speaker 2: Yes, those that that would be a cool thing to have.
- 1:05:18Speaker 2: You have prophetic visions now, which is going to have
- 1:05:21Speaker 2: the prophecy indicator you've got, Uh, you could have Haunted
- 1:05:27Speaker 2: not Haunted tokens, because we all need one of those.
- 1:05:31Speaker 1: Now.
- 1:05:34Speaker 2: I would say chain tracker, but they've got not the
- 1:05:38Speaker 2: ship ones that we've got a million of that are plastic, like,
- 1:05:42Speaker 2: make them heavy duty like they used to be. Not
- 1:05:44Speaker 2: that we use them a ton, but I remember some
- 1:05:47Speaker 2: of the Honor they used to be. So in L
- 1:05:51Speaker 2: five R. You used to have like the Honor trackers
- 1:05:54Speaker 2: and they were big and they were metal and they
- 1:05:56Speaker 2: were heavy duty, and the trackers and Magic right, very
- 1:06:01Speaker 2: similar to that. You could have that, but they've got
- 1:06:04Speaker 2: to be that have not this plastic crap. It's easy
- 1:06:06Speaker 2: to carry around, but it's got to be like a
- 1:06:08Speaker 2: heavy duty type deal.
- 1:06:09Speaker 3: I'm totally happy with my plastic one. Yeah, I also
- 1:06:14Speaker 3: never use it. Well yeah, that's I mean I put
- 1:06:18Speaker 3: counters on top of my deck.
- 1:06:20Speaker 1: What about it?
- 1:06:21Speaker 2: Way easier chains as keys. He's like, I have a key,
- 1:06:25Speaker 2: I do?
- 1:06:28Speaker 3: I just take a random token out of my bin
- 1:06:30Speaker 3: and I'm like, I forged.
- 1:06:31Speaker 2: It doesn't even matter. It could be a dice. He'd
- 1:06:34Speaker 2: be like, that's my key.
- 1:06:36Speaker 3: Something that changed. I forged the burger. I definitely forge
- 1:06:39Speaker 3: armor tokens.
- 1:06:40Speaker 1: Do you forge anything that is not an actual key? No,
- 1:06:44Speaker 1: when you're talking, guy, I actually had the question right
- 1:06:47Speaker 1: before that on my mind because going to gen Con,
- 1:06:50Speaker 1: they'll have their special die. What about just having a
- 1:06:52Speaker 1: simple D six that's set up for the vaults, like,
- 1:06:55Speaker 1: so that can be used for determining who's going to
- 1:06:57Speaker 1: go first?
- 1:06:58Speaker 2: Going first?
- 1:06:59Speaker 1: Easy enough to be able to produce in a quantity
- 1:07:02Speaker 1: that is going to break your bank.
- 1:07:04Speaker 3: You really want a pocketful of dice? Pack?
- 1:07:09Speaker 1: Yeah, I would take dice. What gamer doesn't love dice?
- 1:07:13Speaker 3: I don't need any more dice. I have lots of dice.
- 1:07:15Speaker 3: I've got all kinds of personalized or whatever dice, and
- 1:07:18Speaker 3: they're all enough.
- 1:07:19Speaker 2: But I don't care about even aren't they producing? I
- 1:07:23Speaker 2: think I feel like we've had this conversation before too.
- 1:07:25Speaker 2: Aren't they producing? They're producing those pink. Well, they're not pink.
- 1:07:29Speaker 2: They're all whatever color you want them to be.
- 1:07:32Speaker 3: Well, no, they have a brand with those, but I
- 1:07:35Speaker 3: don't think they produce them.
- 1:07:37Speaker 2: You don't think they produce them here?
- 1:07:38Speaker 3: No, I think those were all outsourced done. Yeah, I
- 1:07:45Speaker 3: don't think they have a plastic extruder.
- 1:07:48Speaker 2: Alright, I think that would be cool.
- 1:07:50Speaker 1: I mean, you.
- 1:07:52Speaker 2: And make something with those.
- 1:07:54Speaker 3: I think those little tokens with a tiny VT and
- 1:07:57Speaker 3: a date and a map or whatever.
- 1:07:59Speaker 1: I think.
- 1:08:00Speaker 3: I agree.
- 1:08:01Speaker 2: I like it because I like those. I at first
- 1:08:04Speaker 2: I wasn't a fan.
- 1:08:05Speaker 1: Now I'm in love.
- 1:08:06Speaker 2: I love those things. Those they are great, But it's
- 1:08:10Speaker 2: kind of one of those like, once you have them,
- 1:08:11Speaker 2: you really don't need anymore.
- 1:08:13Speaker 3: Right, Well, this is where they got to do them
- 1:08:16Speaker 3: and small enough quantities that they're desirable, and then make
- 1:08:23Speaker 3: them collectible and tradable and then off you go. Oh,
- 1:08:29Speaker 3: kirkman man, you can't count on them to provide sleeves
- 1:08:31Speaker 3: you'd want to put your deck in.
- 1:08:33Speaker 2: Yeah, if you've ever used Vault Tour sleeves, they like
- 1:08:38Speaker 2: shuffle with sand paper.
- 1:08:40Speaker 3: I mean, you know, they could get dragon shields. But
- 1:08:42Speaker 3: there are even some people who don't like dragon.
- 1:08:44Speaker 2: Shields or like dragon shields. That's okay.
- 1:08:48Speaker 1: What if I take sandpaper and turn it into sleeves?
- 1:08:51Speaker 1: Would that bother you? Guys?
- 1:08:53Speaker 2: Well, I mean I have some of those right here.
- 1:08:55Speaker 2: They have brabnar on them.
- 1:08:58Speaker 3: I don't use sleeves.
- 1:09:01Speaker 2: I mean I I don't use sleeve. I haven't used
- 1:09:03Speaker 2: sleeve for sealed unless I'm at a vault tour in years.
- 1:09:06Speaker 1: You're not about protection, boys, That's what I'm here and
- 1:09:09Speaker 1: got it, you know.
- 1:09:10Speaker 2: That's how I got in the situation i'm in.
- 1:09:12Speaker 3: You know, But.
- 1:09:15Speaker 1: Is what it is.
- 1:09:16Speaker 2: You win, some you loose, you take just it takes
- 1:09:19Speaker 2: just chances.
- 1:09:21Speaker 1: Well, I have all of this written down. If I
- 1:09:23Speaker 1: win the lottery, you know, I'd love to be able
- 1:09:27Speaker 1: to provide.
- 1:09:29Speaker 3: Yeah, why not?
- 1:09:30Speaker 1: Actually I was looking at crylic printer, like three D printer,
- 1:09:39Speaker 1: Yeah three D. Well, you have three D printer, you
- 1:09:40Speaker 1: have a crylic Actually I was looking at a C
- 1:09:43Speaker 1: and C for being able to go ahead and do
- 1:09:47Speaker 1: some woodwork kind of etching.
- 1:09:51Speaker 2: I should walk into. I have a cricket machine. I
- 1:09:55Speaker 2: don't know why I've never put it to use, probably
- 1:09:58Speaker 2: because the acrylic blade is like one hundre dollars. But
- 1:10:02Speaker 2: I should really take a take a bigger peek into
- 1:10:06Speaker 2: that and see what I can make. I bet I
- 1:10:08Speaker 2: can make something. I'll have to take a look ato that.
- 1:10:14Speaker 2: But this is all I mean. Again, We've talked about
- 1:10:17Speaker 2: all this so many times. I feel at this point,
- 1:10:21Speaker 2: I just feel failed.
- 1:10:23Speaker 3: If you click on the why to attend a Vault
- 1:10:27Speaker 3: Tour thing, it still takes you to the twenty twenty
- 1:10:30Speaker 3: four article where it says twenty twenty four players will
- 1:10:34Speaker 3: get a copy of their duck printed.
- 1:10:36Speaker 1: That still hasn't happened.
- 1:10:38Speaker 2: Oh yeah, you haven't gotten a.
- 1:10:41Speaker 1: All right, So yeah, we've really gone rounding round here
- 1:10:45Speaker 1: we had Uh.
- 1:10:47Speaker 3: Yeah, I got more. I started clicking on things again.
- 1:10:50Speaker 1: National Championships, go sign up by you.
- 1:10:55Speaker 2: Have you found a new favorite boob breddit?
- 1:10:58Speaker 1: No? I have not.
- 1:10:59Speaker 2: No, I'll let you know you've got any good bootreddits
- 1:11:07Speaker 2: sending them to We only want classy boobs, not raunchy ones. Okay,
- 1:11:15Speaker 2: that's right.
- 1:11:16Speaker 1: I don't even know how anyone listens to this amazing cast.
- 1:11:19Speaker 1: Please go check out.
- 1:11:26Speaker 2: In the Like past episodes, it's always this kind of
- 1:11:29Speaker 2: stuff that pops in there. It's it's never like, oh man,
- 1:11:33Speaker 2: I really like what you guys had to say about
- 1:11:35Speaker 2: prophetic visions. It's always like immediately after I dropped the
- 1:11:39Speaker 2: last episode, it was like d S nine is absolutely
- 1:11:41Speaker 2: the best star Trek ever.
- 1:11:44Speaker 1: Yes, you guys would all have a task about which
- 1:11:47Speaker 1: star Trek.
- 1:11:48Speaker 2: Yeah, and now now past episode nothing.
- 1:11:53Speaker 3: But you don't believe me, j R. But people don't
- 1:11:56Speaker 3: care about us talking about they writed, listen to us
- 1:12:00Speaker 3: talk about other stupid things and here how dumb we
- 1:12:03Speaker 3: really are?
- 1:12:04Speaker 2: Yep. And now now the only thing that we'll be
- 1:12:07Speaker 2: in there is boom breddits. It'll just be linked to
- 1:12:10Speaker 2: boom breddits mm hmm.
- 1:12:13Speaker 3: That's not even appropriate for our discord.
- 1:12:16Speaker 2: Yeah, maybe we'll see.
- 1:12:19Speaker 1: All right, thanks for another great cast.
- 1:12:22Speaker 3: Guess to make sure you watch the mask, send you
- 1:12:25Speaker 3: some links JR.
- 1:12:29Speaker 2: Nothing but the best though, and they're class text.
- 1:12:32Speaker 3: Extra class for you. Almost almost boo breddits almost Yeah,
- 1:12:39Speaker 3: it's like side boob Yes, yeah, there you go.
- 1:12:44Speaker 2: You know, but that's gonna do it for us this week? Uh,
- 1:12:48Speaker 2: future updates for the show. What do we got coming up?
- 1:12:51Speaker 2: We got our six hundredth episode coming up, right, Jare
- 1:12:54Speaker 2: That is right?
- 1:12:55Speaker 1: And we have a special guest who you will want
- 1:12:59Speaker 1: to hear that is right, a special special guest.
- 1:13:05Speaker 2: I'm gonna guess we don't want to reveal it. We
- 1:13:07Speaker 2: do want to talk about keychain. We might have to
- 1:13:10Speaker 2: get one of the keychain guys on. I think dead
- 1:13:13Speaker 2: sinc was in the Yeah, he's in there, so maybe
- 1:13:16Speaker 2: we get dead snc on. I believe he's one of
- 1:13:18Speaker 2: the one running keychain, right, we're one of the ones
- 1:13:20Speaker 2: running keychain.
- 1:13:21Speaker 1: Yeah, dead sink.
- 1:13:24Speaker 2: In the Sloppy lab boys, yep, So maybe we can
- 1:13:27Speaker 2: get dead sinc on talk a little bit about keychains
- 1:13:30Speaker 2: because again, another fantastic community project, community project.
- 1:13:38Speaker 1: Honestly, I do look forward to talking about it because
- 1:13:40Speaker 1: the work that's already been put in by these guys
- 1:13:42Speaker 1: is amazing. So there's no jokes about it. They've really
- 1:13:47Speaker 1: put in time and effort, and I think it's a
- 1:13:49Speaker 1: going to be a great ope addition for your local setup.
- 1:13:53Speaker 2: So yeah, so we're going to talk about those in
- 1:13:55Speaker 2: the future weeks. Hopefully we can get something set up
- 1:13:57Speaker 2: with him. We'll kind of go from there. But with
- 1:14:02Speaker 2: that being said, we'll see you all next week.
- 1:14:07Speaker 1: May the Forge be with you.
