Jazz Flutist & Composer Yulia Musayelyan on the 2024 CD Strange Times
Welcome to a new edition of the Neon Jazz interview series with Jazz Flutist & Composer Yulia Musayelyan on the 2024 CD Strange Times .. The last time we caught up with her was during June of 2020 as COVID roared on. Today, we reconvene to talk about her new contemplative release that showcases both her prowess as a performer and her depths of creativity as an arranger with her masterful blends of Latin American folk traditions, especially those of Argentina, and modern jazz aesthetics. We cover how the pandemic effected this album, live shows and what is going on today. Enjoy.
