Latest / Brett Keane and Eve Show / #indianajones Sucks: How Political Agendas Can Ruin Movies By Brett Keane
Transcript
- 0:38Hello, ladies and gentlemen. My name is Brett keen and you
- 0:41were watching and listening to the bright Keen show.
- 0:44You know, I was lucky enough to be born in 1976 around Christmas
- 0:49time back. Then a lot of movies and
- 0:52television shows that name rely on special effects or CGI, they
- 0:57realize it didn't have a big budget.
- 0:59They Eliza didn't have a lot of the tools and CGI and special
- 1:06effects that they have nowadays. So they had to depend on good
- 1:10writers in order to create storylines and movies.
- 1:13That would come out. Good nowadays unfortunately CGI
- 1:20and special effects seem to be what dominate a film Noir show.
- 1:25A lot of the storylines. Don't seem to be very there
- 1:30anymore and it's strange too because a lot of these companies
- 1:34like Disney, they ended up buying the lucasfilm's
- 1:38franchise, they got ahold of Indiana, Jones, stall Wars and a
- 1:42lot of these great movies and It's like, did they even watch
- 1:49the shit the day even? I wonder if Kathleen Kennedy
- 1:53whenever she was as she ever actually sat down and read.
- 1:56Any of the books is Star Wars or any of the movies having to do
- 2:02with Indiana, Jones? Did, she was she sitting there
- 2:05the whole time thinking to herself.
- 2:07Boy, it would be great if we just killed Luke Skywalker and
- 2:11killed all these characters and put a woman in the place,
- 2:15because we really need a The nest and let's put a homosexual
- 2:19Yoda in there as well, you know, because that's what everybody
- 2:23wants to see, right? Everybody wants to see Yoda,
- 2:26have a game moment with another you Odeon creature, or whatever,
- 2:29the hell, the things are called. I remember whenever I was
- 2:33younger and I would watch Star Wars.
- 2:38And I remember thinking this is such a cool ass movie all the
- 2:42way up to Return of the Jedi. I kept thinking to myself, If I
- 2:46remember it was kind of like Evil Dead for me where I had to
- 2:50watch it with my friends over and over and over again.
- 2:54It was one of them things where you were like, hey they got a
- 2:56new movie, a stall Wars and you're like, yes and everybody's
- 3:00like getting their shit together.
- 3:02And getting ready and making themselves accountable and
- 3:05everybody's extremely excited. How many times nowadays has any
- 3:11of you out there felt excited about a new movie coming out a
- 3:16lot of You are feeling dread because the don't seem to make
- 3:21very good. Casting choices, take justice
- 3:24league. For example, as you're a Miller,
- 3:27this is a psychotic loser, with a terrible haircut, shitty
- 3:33acting skills dumb and every type of way a criminal in real
- 3:38life and they chose to use this person as the flash, whenever
- 3:43there was just recently a successful television.
- 3:46A show about the flash ran by a different character that was
- 3:50loved and cared about and respected.
- 3:52It's like why would you even change this person out?
- 3:55Then we get Henry Cavill as Superman and for the longest
- 4:00time a lot of us weren't willing to get our get our eyes off of
- 4:05guys like Christopher Reeves who originally played the role we
- 4:08adored Christopher Reeve and we thought that there was no one
- 4:11that could come along to do better and they surprised us
- 4:15with Man of Steel. Came out with Henry Cavill.
- 4:18And he was like the perfect representation physically,
- 4:22mentally, emotionally spiritually, had it all down,
- 4:26and the beauty of it was that Henry Cavill actually respected
- 4:32the comic books, he respected the video games, he respected
- 4:35the storylines. He felt that if he was going to
- 4:39play a character then he needed to completely immerse himself
- 4:42into it. He was like a what you would
- 4:45consider a trade. True actor.
- 4:47He wanted to play a role that he cared about and he actually
- 4:51cared about Superman, he cared about The Witcher, he cared
- 4:54about everything that he got involved in.
- 4:58And then now they just kind of cast him to the side and they
- 5:03want to put a younger group ab. And of course at younger group
- 5:07for the longest time, I've heard them arguing about wanting to
- 5:10make a black Superman or a gay Superman and that's not even
- 5:14what Superman was about. Superman wasn't about racial
- 5:18ties. He wasn't about some political
- 5:21agenda. In fact Superman we believe that
- 5:25we needed Superman because the government then Politics were so
- 5:28fucked up that we needed a savior that would fly around and
- 5:32say people not somebody that would get involved in political
- 5:36agendas, someone who give a shit.
- 5:39There was a time and the Superman franchise with
- 5:42Christopher Reeves, where he decided at some point in time to
- 5:46get involved. And that's because Humanity was
- 5:49destroying itself with nukes. He felt he needed to get
- 5:52involved that way, but in the end he finally said, fuck it.
- 5:56You know what men And women are going to do what they're going
- 5:59to do. And he left it alone.
- 6:01And he said, look, if you fall out of a fucking building or
- 6:04you're about to be ran over by a locomotive, then I'll see if I
- 6:08can come through and save your dumb ass and that's what it was
- 6:12about. And around the early 90s, they
- 6:16started getting to a point in comic books and movies where
- 6:19they wanted to start killing Heroes.
- 6:22I don't know if many of you notice us, but they wanted to do
- 6:24comic books for the killed Batman or the Joker.
- 6:28Somehow successfully killed, Batman or Superman, got killed
- 6:32by doomsday. I remember seeing that Superman
- 6:36giving it everything. He's got, beat the son of the
- 6:39bitch that was killing everything in sight, and then
- 6:42they just have them. Inked and then to make matters,
- 6:46worse less than a decade later, they end up having it to where
- 6:50the Joker does. Some kind of strange chemicals
- 6:53aren't Superman somehow it worked and Superman thought his
- 6:57own wife, Lois Lane who was pregnant with this child was
- 7:03actually he believed he was hallucinating and was convinced
- 7:07that his own wife was doomsday and he slammed her out in the
- 7:11space. Killed his own wife because of
- 7:15something The Joker dead. And I'm thinking to myself.
- 7:18Why, why even go that route? Who the fuck are these?
- 7:22People riding this shit saying, hey, what's I wonder?
- 7:26What would happen to Superman if you took the most important
- 7:30thing in his life away or took away his baby and his wife and
- 7:34then turn him into an asshole. That wants to start killing all
- 7:37the other superheroes. And this is kind of like, what
- 7:42we've been seeing with All this. I remember the new Star Wars
- 7:46coming out, they take Luke Skywalker, they not only kill
- 7:51him but they destroy the very character that he was, Luke
- 7:54Skywalker used to be this optimistic young man who came
- 7:59from a hard way of life. He was kind of like the, the
- 8:03rocky of the Galaxy. Right went through hell,
- 8:06trained. Really hard became this
- 8:10character that felt that he could save his From the Dark
- 8:14Side, Darth Vader and so on. We all know the story one of the
- 8:18most epic classic stories of all times.
- 8:21And then the end he succeeds to bring some light into his
- 8:24father's life. But somehow after all that shit,
- 8:30Luke Skywalker becomes this empathetic than competent week.
- 8:38Weak ass, hold man, who lives by himself, like a Hermit on the
- 8:43top of the fucking Mountain out in the middle of nowhere.
- 8:45That no one even knows anything about all of this Talent.
- 8:49All of this skills, basically gone to waste, basically
- 8:53becoming a tired old man with no interest or desire to help
- 8:57anybody or do the shit anymore. And I'm thinking to myself who
- 9:03the fuck comes up with this shit?
- 9:06Why would you do that for Four. Is there not enough fucking
- 9:10bullshit going on in the world for us?
- 9:12Do they not realize that when we watch Disney or any of these
- 9:16television shows that a lot of us were not happy with reality.
- 9:22We don't like the fact that we don't actually have real
- 9:24superheroes in the world. We don't like the fact that the
- 9:27people that we love and care about, if they do happen to fall
- 9:30out of window and I ain't nobody gonna fly down and save their
- 9:33ass. If a fucking plane explodes or a
- 9:36helicopter runs into a They even said, there ain't no superhero
- 9:41that's going to make green shit. Come out of the ring on their
- 9:43finger and fix that. Really movies television and
- 9:48books. Have always been our Escape.
- 9:49It's supposed to be our fantasy, not here about, you know, what
- 9:54you want to do, sexually hear what your fucking sexual
- 9:57preferences are, or how you feel about men or that.
- 10:02You think that you know, there's some kind of masculine toxicity.
- 10:06No one ever looked at Our Manor, Batman.
- 10:09And thought, Oh man, these are toxic characters.
- 10:13They need to be humiliated and humbled, and embarrassed and
- 10:16shit. Let's break their back with
- 10:18Bain. Let's fucking in prison them.
- 10:21Let's make the world. Look at them, like they're
- 10:23criminal. I started noticing more and more
- 10:26that the villains seem to be getting all the great lines and
- 10:31they were getting more and more hits and on the superheroes.
- 10:36Now, normally I would suggest that that in order to have a
- 10:39good hero in a movie, a memorable hero, the hero does
- 10:43got to take some struggle. There's got to be some
- 10:46obstacles. Sometimes you got to get knocked
- 10:47down a couple times, but not having your back broke, not
- 10:52having it to where your fucking blown up, not having it to where
- 10:56your fucking killed and now you're like walking around with
- 10:59synth Parts, like they did with Picard Jesus.
- 11:05So Along Comes Indiana Jones, right?
- 11:11This was a simple story. It's about a guy who is in dark
- 11:16geology and he goes to Adventures, trying to find old
- 11:20ancient relics. It's as simple as that.
- 11:23It's just that it's got really epic music going on and you got
- 11:27really sweet ass action scenes and you never know what the hell
- 11:31is going to happen next. You feel like there's this
- 11:33constant intensity of what's happening and plus they somehow
- 11:37with all that going on mix humor involved with it.
- 11:41It, but Disney being the greedy fucking concert they are they
- 11:47decided to say, you know what Harrison Ford's like 80
- 11:50something years old. Why don't we go ahead and well
- 11:54to be fair before I get into that fucking rant, let's be
- 11:58fair. The last Indiana Jones movie was
- 12:01absolute horrible and Kathleen. Kennedy didn't even have nothing
- 12:06to do with that piece of shit. That was just a greedy pulled by
- 12:09Lucas Films. Was done by Lucas himself.
- 12:12He decided that he wanted to make one more movie.
- 12:16Where Harrison, Ford doesn't even capable of stepping out of
- 12:19the wheelchair at this point, they just said, we got to do it
- 12:23one more time. It was perfect.
- 12:25All the way up to 3, but he decided he needed to go that
- 12:28extra mile. Make them a little bit of money
- 12:30on the side. Can't blame the old motherfucker
- 12:32for sure. But when the man is now 80 to 90
- 12:36years old and then you bring a feminist.
- 12:39And, and by the way, Hey, not an attractive one, she's not
- 12:43attractive, she's not fun to listen to a complete and utter
- 12:47bitch. The kind of person that if you
- 12:49heard that she was going to be showing up at your family's
- 12:52Thanksgiving, you would be making a call making excuses on,
- 12:55why you don't want to show up because you do not want to set,
- 12:58even in the same proximity, Is this biatch?
- 13:02She's annoying. She's irritating and they
- 13:06decided that she needed to be the new Indiana Jones.
- 13:09Who the fuck is Riding this garbage of slop.
- 13:16I didn't even bother to go. I didn't I didn't bother to go
- 13:20watch this movie whatsoever, nowadays in the last 10 years
- 13:25movie theaters, Tardes people up the ass, it's fucking burglary,
- 13:29it's robbery it's test they make you pay $20 and then they try to
- 13:34fucking, you know, pushy and buying a bunch of expensive food
- 13:38that you normally could have bought it.
- 13:40All these for under a buck. They make you pay five ten bucks
- 13:43for you, fuck. A cup of soda, get the fuck out
- 13:46of here. That's a five-dollar fucking
- 13:48figure right there just so you can sit there in a movie and
- 13:51then find yourself halfway through it and needing to take a
- 13:54piss because you drank that expensive, a soda and then you
- 13:57miss like 90% of the rest of the movie.
- 14:02So nowadays instead of wasting $20 to see shit, I just wait
- 14:06until it comes out and I also read reviews and look at what
- 14:10people say and I watch countless Clips or of what people seen
- 14:13during Means and all that because I don't want to commit
- 14:18myself, the two hours of watching, something that's going
- 14:21to fucking piss me off. If a lot of people say it's
- 14:25good, it's decent. I give it a shot.
- 14:28If it turns out to be fucking dumb and the case of Indiana
- 14:32Jones and a lot of movies nowadays, they literally spoil
- 14:37these movies and the trailers, you remember, back in the 80s
- 14:41and shit when you watch a trailer, you weren't exactly
- 14:44sure. Who was going to win it.
- 14:46Made it feel like there was some drama suspense and mystery.
- 14:50You got an idea of what a movie was going to be about and you
- 14:54got to see who is acting in it but you had no idea what where
- 14:59the movie like that would go or how it would end but nowadays,
- 15:04it's like you watch a movie and they make sure they got their
- 15:07homosexuals right up front. Are there?
- 15:09Black counterfeit replacement actors playing characters that
- 15:14were Generally white, our some fucking whiny bitch e feminine
- 15:20guy like Ezra Miller fucking babbling incoherently and not
- 15:25doing any real acting skills. And you just you're not feeling
- 15:31it's like how many of you out there watch this new fucking
- 15:34trailer of Michael Keaton and Ezra Miller is it just me or did
- 15:40you all get all hyped up when you seen Michael Keaton but you
- 15:43were like all fuck why? Why is Ezra Miller and there?
- 15:46Am I, the only one am? I the only one that felt like a
- 15:49little bit of nostalgia? And that's the game that a lot
- 15:53of these movie companies play nowadays, because they know
- 15:55their characters. And the people that they picked
- 15:58are so shitty that in order to make a movie like this, even
- 16:02watchable, or make people want to go.
- 16:04See it is, if you take something from the past that, you know,
- 16:07was fucking awesome. Something that was
- 16:10groundbreaking and simply peel the character off of that.
- 16:14Luger that old thing that was good and put it in even if it's
- 16:19for a minute, they think that that's what's going to drive the
- 16:22film. Because they know their own
- 16:24imaginations and creativity is fucking bankrupt.
- 16:29They know that they can't get you to go just for Ezra Miller,
- 16:32so that's why they added Ben Affleck, which is a good actor.
- 16:35I personally think I didn't have a problem with this version of
- 16:38Batman and you got Michael Keaton, who of course, was a
- 16:42very founder due to Burton of being the great Batman series of
- 16:47the Des. Ladies and gentlemen, they did
- 16:51exactly the same thing that they did was stalled Wars that they
- 16:55did with Indiana Jones. Indiana Jones is now this old
- 16:58fucking guy who's losing his business?
- 17:01He's weaker now, he's got anxiety, he's scared.
- 17:06He's, he's just not Indiana Jones anymore.
- 17:09He's a senior citizen. That's ready to go to a nursing
- 17:12home and die. That's basically what he has.
- 17:15There's nothing inspirational about Indiana Jones anymore.
- 17:19And they basically embarrass him throughout all the clips that
- 17:22are shown of him to make the feminist woman look like the
- 17:27boss of the movie, right? That's what they want.
- 17:31Make the guy look like an idiot. Make the guy look, you know,
- 17:33week, you relevant don't even bother appreciating all the cool
- 17:38shit he's ever done and and go for it.
- 17:42But they couldn't even be bothered to put a decent actress
- 17:46and the place of if you're going to make a female Indiana Jones,
- 17:51which I don't see why you'd even bother if I were them I would
- 17:55say. Hey, Indiana, Jones, had a son
- 17:57or something like that, or a daughter.
- 17:59And then have that like pass on the torch but no, she's a nobody
- 18:04she's garbage. I think she's related in some
- 18:07way like a cousin or a Neath. What is it?
- 18:11I don't know what the fuck she is.
- 18:13I don't know, I don't give a fuck, really?
- 18:16I'm not going to watch the movie.
- 18:17I'm not going to spend 20 bucks. Bucks in the shed and I won't
- 18:20watch it whenever it's free or Netflix or something.
- 18:23Well technically Netflix's and fucking free or Disney.
- 18:27There is a subscription order to watch his fucking garbage.
- 18:32But that's how I feel. I feel like this is what they
- 18:39do. They push some political agenda,
- 18:41they take a bunch of stuff from the Stars Ur and then they put
- 18:44that in the trailer in order to lure us.
- 18:47But remember what I was saying about the trailers?
- 18:50A lot of the trailers give away too much.
- 18:53You know. One of the, one of the things I
- 18:57noticed, right off the bat that they shouldn't have showed, they
- 19:00showed entire fight scene, between Sade and thus, new super
- 19:04girl who's Latino or whatever the fucker, do you Liz?
- 19:07And I'm thinking why are you showing all this?
- 19:10This is like a, this is like a scene that should be where
- 19:14you're in the movie theater and when it happens you're like
- 19:17shocked. You're Blown Away in the
- 19:19reaction of the crowd would be going crazy.
- 19:23Why are you showing this happening for It's like they're
- 19:26showing Zod actually get his ass.
- 19:28Kicked by Supergirl, that's not what you do.
- 19:32You don't show the villain get killed or beaten and the fucking
- 19:35trailer. Then what's the point of
- 19:36watching it for Well, I figured I'd share a bet.
- 19:42I'm not excited about Indian Jones.
- 19:45I'm not excited about the new Justice League set.
- 19:48I stopped caring about Justice League after Zack Snyder.
- 19:53Got taken out of the picture. I'm just not interested anymore.
- 19:57Like I said in the beginning of the video, It's All About
- 20:00special effects CGI, in political agendas.
- 20:02Now, I just don't enjoy it anymore.
- 20:06Nowadays, if I do watch television, I usually try to
- 20:09watch movies and television shows that have actors like
- 20:12James Spader in them, like, Boston Legal, The Blacklist or
- 20:16something. I enjoy that kind of stuff our
- 20:20Criminal Minds. I like a lot of criminal TV
- 20:22shows. It seems like there's still some
- 20:24thought process put into those, but I do feel a tad but awoke
- 20:29shit getting into those as well. Well, God bless have a wonderful
- 20:35day, folks.
