- 0:55Speaker 1: it stopped.
- 0:56Speaker 3: Was terrible.
- 0:57Speaker 5: You should have taken that truck and then just parked

- 1:01Speaker 3: Just threw the hazards on it. Just figured it out.
- 1:04Speaker 2: You were just running in to grab something real quick.

- 1:16Speaker 1: Off 146.
- 1:17Speaker 2: You got pizza. Okay, cool.
- 1:19Speaker 3: It's the same strip mall that has handles in it.
- 1:23Speaker 2: Oh, crafters. Yes, crafters.
- 1:25Speaker 3: That's what we had. That is not a truck-friendly parking lot, okay?
- 1:29Speaker 2: That's tight.
- 1:30Speaker 3: As long as you're moving, though, I'm not the first
- 1:34Speaker 3: person who doesn't have air conditioning in their car, okay?
- 1:36Speaker 2: I get that.
- 1:37Speaker 1: As long as you're moving, it's tolerable. It's when you're

- 2:04Speaker 3: HankFM.com.
- 2:05Speaker 2: They did what?
- 2:08Speaker 5: The Minnesota State Fair kicked off last Thursday. And if
- 2:11Speaker 5: you didn't know, the Minnesota State Fair is like a
- 2:13Speaker 5: really big thing.
- 2:15Speaker 2: Like, think like month of May. Like, they go nuts. Insane, yes.
- 2:19Speaker 2: For their state fair.
- 2:20Speaker 5: It's celebrating the 100th anniversary of its Tilt-A-Whirl ride, which
- 2:27Speaker 5: debuted in 1926. Would you have any issues about riding
- 2:30Speaker 5: a 100-year-old carnival ride?
- 2:34Speaker 3: Oh, it's the same one. Well, that one's on the ground. Like,
- 2:40Speaker 3: it just spins around on the track.
- 2:42Speaker 2: That's pretty quick, though.
- 2:43Speaker 6: I know.
- 2:44Speaker 3: That one, I don't think I would.
- 2:45Speaker 2: You don't think you have a problem with the tilt-a-whirl?
- 2:47Speaker 4: No.
- 2:48Speaker 1: If you put me on a swing, the swings that
- 2:51Speaker 1: are on your swings?
- 2:52Speaker 3: No, no, no, no, no, no.
- 2:55Speaker 1: 97.1 Hank FM with Annie and Cole. I cannot believe
- 2:57Speaker 1: we are looking at the calendar, and it says September 1st.
- 3:00Speaker 2: Yeah, because it's so hot outside.
- 3:02Speaker 6: It is.
- 3:04Speaker 5: It's too hot for September. I get that sometimes September
- 3:07Speaker 5: is like a little warm, like it can be, you know,
- 3:11Speaker 5: mid to low 80s or whatever. Not like mid to
- 3:14Speaker 5: low 100s.
- 3:15Speaker 3: Not let's die if you go outside.
- 3:17Speaker 2: No, it's too hot. But I do have some things
- 3:19Speaker 2: for you to look forward to this month of September.
- 3:22Speaker 2: I'll list to share coming up after a couple songs
- 3:24Speaker 2: on Hank FM.
- 3:26Speaker 4: So shocking, it'll make your jaw drop. He clicked on
- 3:29Speaker 4: it so you don't have to. It's Clickbait Cole on
- 3:34Speaker 4: Hank FM.
- 3:34Speaker 5: I have this list of things to look forward to
- 3:37Speaker 5: in the month of September.
- 3:39Speaker 2: Let's start with a couple of big ones.
- 3:41Speaker 5: We've got a couple birthdays to celebrate this month.
- 3:45Speaker 2: Mine.
- 3:45Speaker 4: Yours.
- 3:47Speaker 3: Most importantly, my dog, Yeji's.
- 3:49Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 3:49Speaker 3: My niece, Grace.
- 3:50Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 3:51Speaker 3: Faith Hills. We got a lot of birthdays in September.
- 3:54Speaker 2: Baby Josie turns one in less than a week now.
- 3:58Speaker 2: That is six days away.
- 3:59Speaker 1: Insane.
- 4:00Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 4:00Speaker 5: It is kind of crazy. NFL kicks back off. We
- 4:03Speaker 5: are excited for the NFL. And there is a game
- 4:06Speaker 5: in Australia. to kick off the season. It actually kicks
- 4:11Speaker 5: off next Wednesday. Seattle will host New England in a
- 4:14Speaker 5: rematch of the Super Bowl, and then the 49ers take
- 4:16Speaker 5: on the Rams in Australia the following day.
- 4:19Speaker 2: Okay.
- 4:20Speaker 5: College football is back. It kind of started last weekend.
- 4:23Speaker 5: We really get started this weekend. IU will play North
- 4:26Speaker 5: Texas to kick off their season as they look to
- 4:28Speaker 5: repeat as national champions.
- 4:31Speaker 2: In theaters, if you want to go.
- 4:32Speaker 5: To the movies, Cars returns to the big screen this
- 4:35Speaker 5: Friday to celebrate its 20th anniversary.
- 4:38Speaker 2: Dude, that's not right. Practical Magic 2.
- 4:42Speaker 1: Yes.
- 4:43Speaker 2: Comes out on the 11th.
- 4:45Speaker 1: Also, they showed this interview of Nicole Kidman and Sandra
- 4:48Speaker 1: Bullock from the original Practical Magic, which was like 98-ish,
- 4:51Speaker 1: I would guess.
- 4:53Speaker 3: Why do they look better now than they did then?
- 4:56Speaker 2: That's insane.
- 4:57Speaker 5: There's an Avengers in-game encore as well. So it will
- 5:01Speaker 5: be back in theaters. And then the new Avengers comes
- 5:05Speaker 5: out in December. Do you watch any of these TV shows?
- 5:08Speaker 5: Dancing with the Stars, The Voice, Shark Tank, Survivor, Amazing Race,
- 5:12Speaker 5: The Traitors, New Blood, Real Housewives of New York City,
- 5:15Speaker 5: Salt Lake City, Secret Lives of Mormon Wives, American Horror Story,
- 5:18Speaker 5: South Park, The Paper, The Simpsons, and SNL.
- 5:20Speaker 2: Any of those stand out to you?
- 5:21Speaker 1: Zero.
- 5:22Speaker 2: Yeah. Not really for me either.
- 5:25Speaker 5: We get fall officially started towards the end of the month.
- 5:28Speaker 5: And finally, some silly holidays that we celebrate.
- 5:32Speaker 2: Talk like a pirate day on the 19th. National Coffee
- 5:35Speaker 2: Day on the 29th. like i share.
- 5:38Speaker 6: Eddie and cole on hank fm football season upon us
- 5:44Speaker 6: and in a recent survey of over 5 000 sports
- 5:47Speaker 6: fans it found that we now prefer a home gate
- 5:51Speaker 6: rather than a.
- 5:52Speaker 5: Traditional tailgate so similar idea just do it at home
- 5:57Speaker 5: rather than at the game so start hanging out and
- 6:01Speaker 5: drinking a few hours before you're still grilling hot dogs
- 6:04Speaker 5: and burgers or whatever. You're just doing all of that
- 6:06Speaker 5: tailgate stuff at home instead of in a parking lot
- 6:10Speaker 5: outside the stadium.
- 6:15Speaker 1: You know, usually if we do host people for football,
- 6:17Speaker 1: there is a little bit of the home getting going
- 6:19Speaker 1: on because be standing in the garage, hanging out a
- 6:22Speaker 1: little bit before coming in to maybe watch the game
- 6:25Speaker 1: or maybe just watch the game in the garage.
- 6:27Speaker 4: Yeah, I.
- 6:30Speaker 5: remember doing a lot of the tailgates at iu even
- 6:34Speaker 5: after i graduated when we had like a little like
- 6:36Speaker 5: because when you're there as a student you're basically just
- 6:38Speaker 5: popping around to like whose parent is doing a tailgate
- 6:41Speaker 5: that we can crash because we don't have money to
- 6:43Speaker 5: throw a real tailgate but yeah after graduation where we
- 6:46Speaker 5: had jobs and were able to do a little bit
- 6:48Speaker 5: of tailgate it was always a lot of fun it's
- 6:50Speaker 5: always a lot of work it was always very early
- 6:52Speaker 5: too you have a game that starts at noon and
- 6:54Speaker 5: the lots open at six or seven or whatever. So
- 6:57Speaker 5: that means you're up at five or six trying to
- 6:59Speaker 5: get there and get everything set up.
- 7:01Speaker 2: And then you also feel like you have to end
- 7:03Speaker 2: it early.
- 7:04Speaker 5: Because you want to get into the game. So we
- 7:06Speaker 5: got to start tearing down like an hour before the
- 7:08Speaker 5: game starts. It is a lot of work compared to
- 7:10Speaker 5: just like rolling out the cooler at home. My other
- 7:14Speaker 5: question for you on this is there, I feel like
- 7:17Speaker 5: I hear a lot of people say this and I
- 7:19Speaker 5: do not agree with it, that they would rather watch
- 7:21Speaker 5: the game at home than at the stadium.
- 7:24Speaker 2: Like I'm, It depends on the sport. Not around a
- 7:27Speaker 2: bunch of people.
- 7:27Speaker 5: I have the comfort of my own couch and my
- 7:30Speaker 5: own bathroom and cheap drinks and cheaper food.
- 7:33Speaker 1: I always argue with my husband because he and his
- 7:36Speaker 1: friends used to like go to the bar and watch
- 7:38Speaker 1: the game. And to me, no, I'd rather be on
- 7:40Speaker 1: my couch than the bar than the bar. Would I
- 7:44Speaker 1: rather be at the event?
- 7:45Speaker 6: Probably.
- 7:46Speaker 3: I mean, it depends on the weather.
- 7:48Speaker 2: That's fair.
- 7:49Speaker 3: You know what I mean?
- 7:50Speaker 2: Like it's like raining sideways and kind of cold. Then yeah,
- 7:53Speaker 2: I'd rather be on the couch too.
- 7:54Speaker 3: Danny and Cole 97, one Hank FM.
- 7:56Speaker 1: We were just talking about tailgating and home gating and
- 7:59Speaker 1: the football season's almost here.
- 8:01Speaker 3: I just spent way too much time.
- 8:03Speaker 1: If you go to hankfm.com right now, there is an
- 8:06Speaker 1: article that matches a country song to every starting quarterback.
- 8:12Speaker 1: in the NFL based on sort of their journey to
- 8:14Speaker 1: a starting quarterback. Daniel Jones, starting quarterback for the Colts,
- 8:20Speaker 1: got Ain't Always the Cowboy by John Porter.
- 8:25Speaker 3: So loud, John.
- 8:39Speaker 1: It says a guy who's had rough stretches took the hit,
- 8:42Speaker 1: still saddling back up for another go.
- 8:45Speaker 2: Okay.
- 8:46Speaker 5: Boy, I am just like scrolling through all these now.
- 8:49Speaker 4: Right?
- 8:50Speaker 3: Some of them are kind of funny.
- 8:52Speaker 1: If you want to check it out online, the full
- 8:54Speaker 1: story's up at HankFM.com.
- 8:56Speaker 3: Do you really want to know?
- 8:58Speaker 2: Annie and Cole want to know.
- 9:00Speaker 1: What's the last thing you were charged for that you're like, why? One,
- 9:04Speaker 1: why are you charging for that? And two, why does
- 9:06Speaker 1: it cost so much money? This guy's gone viral going
- 9:10Speaker 1: to his favorite sandwich shop and ordering a sub sandwich.
- 9:13Speaker 3: He wants it toasted. And they charged him for it.
- 9:18Speaker 2: Never in the history of me going to. Have they
- 9:22Speaker 2: ever charged a toast? Toast is free. That's crazy, bro.
- 9:26Speaker 3: Toast is free.
- 9:28Speaker 2: Have you?
- 9:29Speaker 3: I don't know if I've if I have never been
- 9:31Speaker 3: paid attention that they're charging me to toast my sandwich.
- 9:34Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 9:35Speaker 2: How much? How much was it?
- 9:38Speaker 1: I don't know he went on a full rant i
- 9:39Speaker 1: didn't watch it all that doesn't yeah i don't i'm
- 9:42Speaker 1: not paying for that this happened the other day though
- 9:45Speaker 1: as someone uh i went to go get ice cream
- 9:47Speaker 1: one of my favorite ice cream places that i always
- 9:49Speaker 1: stop at often and i was like hey do you
- 9:51Speaker 1: guys have pop cups like yeah of course we do
- 9:53Speaker 1: and they hit a button and I saw them bring
- 9:55Speaker 1: it up a dollar 30 for a pop cup.
- 9:59Speaker 2: Pop cups are always free.
- 10:01Speaker 1: My thing was, I wasn't, it's just, it was whipped
- 10:03Speaker 1: cream and like a ketchup.
- 10:05Speaker 2: It wasn't even like a big cup of it. It
- 10:07Speaker 2: was just like a tiny little thing.
- 10:08Speaker 1: It looked like, you know, if you were to fill
- 10:10Speaker 1: your ketchup up to dip your fries, like that size
- 10:12Speaker 1: container of whipped cream, I was charged a dollar 34. No,
- 10:15Speaker 1: that's what i wanted to be like i don't i
- 10:18Speaker 1: don't want it anymore but i couldn't you know what
- 10:20Speaker 1: i mean like i didn't want to look cheap but
- 10:23Speaker 1: i was like i've never gotten charged for a pop
- 10:24Speaker 1: cut before now a dollar thirty for whipped cream basically
- 10:28Speaker 1: a shot of whipped cream yeah you could have just
- 10:31Speaker 1: sprayed it right in his mouth a dollar thirty cheaper
- 10:33Speaker 1: yeah it was like what is going on here but
- 10:38Speaker 1: is there something like this that you were charged for
- 10:40Speaker 1: that you're like i don't Where did this come from?
- 10:43Speaker 4: Annie and Cole.
- 10:44Speaker 2: Text or give us a call. 317-663-9797. Hank FM.
- 10:49Speaker 4: Be a.
- 10:51Speaker 2: Part of the show.
- 10:52Speaker 4: Call or text 317-663-9797. Annie and Cole. 971 Hank FM.
- 10:59Speaker 1: When's the last time you were charged for something and
- 11:01Speaker 1: you're like, no, that's too much. Why are you charging
- 11:04Speaker 1: it for me? Because I was charged $ 1. 30 for a
- 11:07Speaker 1: whipped cream shot pop cup the other day.
- 11:11Speaker 2: No, that's. Pup cups should always be free.
- 11:13Speaker 5: Matt on the Armor Air text line says they were
- 11:17Speaker 5: also charged for a pup cup last week.
- 11:18Speaker 6: No.
- 11:19Speaker 3: What country are we currently living in? This isn't the
- 11:22Speaker 3: one I want to be a part of.
- 11:23Speaker 2: Free pup cups always.
- 11:25Speaker 5: Kimmy said that a popular taco spot, 90 cents for
- 11:30Speaker 5: sour cream.
- 11:30Speaker 2: That's excessive. You know what actually bothers me the most
- 11:33Speaker 2: about that? Just make it a dollar. Hot dog.
- 11:38Speaker 5: I want to deal with the 10 cents extra, whatever.
- 11:41Speaker 5: Just make it a dollar.
- 11:47Speaker 1: Are you a fan of rotisserie chicken? Because if you are,
- 11:50Speaker 1: Walmart sees you and has a.
- 11:53Speaker 3: Purse made especially for you.
- 11:57Speaker 1: Saw this woman dancing around with a rotisserie chicken bag
- 12:00Speaker 1: on TikTok the other day.
- 12:01Speaker 3: She's like, look at my new purse. Isn't it fabulous, y'all?
- 12:04Speaker 1: And Walmart has now decided that they're selling basically just
- 12:09Speaker 1: the rotisserie chicken bag without the chicken in it and
- 12:12Speaker 1: marketing it as its iconic rotisserie chicken bag for $ 5.
- 12:17Speaker 3: 97 each.
- 12:20Speaker 4: What?
- 12:20Speaker 1: It went on sale online, 8 o'clock. I think they're
- 12:24Speaker 1: still available. They have a traditional chicken purse, a lemon
- 12:27Speaker 1: pepper chicken purse. You also can buy charms for your
- 12:32Speaker 1: purse as well, including great value Louisiana hot sauce charm bag,
- 12:37Speaker 1: lemon pepper seasoning bag charm.
- 12:41Speaker 3: I mean, it's real. This is real. The Spark Shop
- 12:45Speaker 3: at Walmart.com.
- 12:47Speaker 5: I had to get up and walk around to the
- 12:49Speaker 5: other side of the desk here just to take a
- 12:51Speaker 5: look at this.
- 12:51Speaker 3: Just to look at it?
- 12:53Speaker 5: Because what I was seeing on my computer, I was like,
- 12:54Speaker 5: there's no way.
- 12:57Speaker 2: Are you looking at the same thing? And you were.
- 12:59Speaker 3: Yeah, this is it. This is what I'm talking about.
- 13:01Speaker 3: Would you pay $ 5. 97 for a rotisserie chicken bag?
- 13:05Speaker 2: I suppose at least it's only $ 5. Danny and Cole.
- 13:09Speaker 4: Weekday mornings 6 to 10 on 97.1 Hank FM.
