- 0:01Speaker 1: Ja, Kadi and Josh six one hundred sorts of health
- 0:05Speaker 1: stories out this morning. This one that's really kind of long.
- 0:09Speaker 1: I'll try to zip through it. It's the ten health
- 0:12Speaker 1: trends that are starting to scare doctors and nurses, and
- 0:16Speaker 1: number one is vaping. And I feel like vaping has
- 0:18Speaker 1: been scaring doctors and nurses.
- 0:20Speaker 2: For quite a few years now. Yeah, it's not good
- 0:23Speaker 2: for you.
- 0:24Speaker 3: Didn't we know that, right? Why is it a health trend?
- 0:27Speaker 2: I don't know. Ketamine has made the list.
- 0:29Speaker 1: It's causing serious bladder dysfunction, sleep deprivation, and energy drinks
- 0:36Speaker 1: as a daily survival tool.
- 0:37Speaker 2: Yeah, your bodies aren't meant to run like that. You guys.
- 0:41Speaker 1: All the GLP one drugs, we don't really know the
- 0:44Speaker 1: long term effects of all of that. What's the nitrous
- 0:47Speaker 1: oxide abuse? I don't know that one. So as you
- 0:49Speaker 1: can get chemical burns on the inside of your mouth
- 0:51Speaker 1: and throat. I don't want that. Are those there?
- 0:56Speaker 2: Those whippets? I guess, oh, you do not want to
- 0:58Speaker 2: do that.
- 1:00Speaker 1: Owners and e bikes made the list. Influencer medicine, essentially
- 1:04Speaker 1: taking influencer advice when it comes to medical stuff.
- 1:08Speaker 2: Yeh, don't do that.
- 1:09Speaker 1: And then the parasite cleanses from TikTok that are causing.
- 1:14Speaker 3: On your body. I don't want to do that.
- 1:18Speaker 1: No, No, another story out this morning. You know, we've
- 1:22Speaker 1: heard all the stories that if you sit too much
- 1:26Speaker 1: throughout the day you'll develop heart and health issues.
- 1:30Speaker 2: If you're sitting too.
- 1:31Speaker 1: Much, yeah, now they're saying if you sit too little
- 1:36Speaker 1: you'll develop issues as well.
- 1:39Speaker 4: You've got to find a sweet spot when it comes
- 1:42Speaker 4: to what is happening.
- 1:43Speaker 1: They said, people who sat less than two hours a
- 1:46Speaker 1: day have a higher risk of health issues.
- 1:49Speaker 2: Now, so come on and a half hours.
- 1:53Speaker 5: What health issues do they say come from moving your body?
- 1:57Speaker 1: Because especial actually physical demanding jobs like farming and construction.
- 2:02Speaker 1: I guess it's just the wear and tear then on
- 2:04Speaker 1: the on the joints, the bones, your your ligaments, your tendons,
- 2:10Speaker 1: all that. So it is funny though that if you
- 2:12Speaker 1: sit too much you're gonna get sick, but if you're
- 2:14Speaker 1: sitting too little, you're gonna get sick too.
- 2:17Speaker 2: The three but that gonna.
- 2:19Speaker 1: I'm gonna try to get in my you know, hour
- 2:21Speaker 1: a day of exercise, eat all my supplements and and
- 2:25Speaker 1: just kind of hope for the best.
- 2:27Speaker 5: You know, I don't think I'm doing life right right
- 2:30Speaker 5: now because you just mentioned the supplements and all the things, Like.
- 2:35Speaker 3: I don't know how many supplements are you taking?
- 2:38Speaker 2: Well?
- 2:39Speaker 1: I had take all mine with dinner, the pill ones
- 2:41Speaker 1: I take with dinner, and there is two, three, four,
- 2:45Speaker 1: five I take with dinner, and that's on top of
- 2:48Speaker 1: I do like an electrolyte drink throughout the day, and
- 2:50Speaker 1: some creatine, maybe some protein powder white.
- 2:54Speaker 2: What is your mouth hownyeven? How many supplements do you take?
- 2:58Speaker 3: I take my gummy vitamin. I don't take anything.
- 3:04Speaker 5: Then I bring this up because I was at my
- 3:06Speaker 5: friend's house the other day and she pulled out her
- 3:09Speaker 5: supplement package.
- 3:11Speaker 3: Yeah, better way to say that. She you know, all
- 3:13Speaker 3: of her vitamins. She's a pill box, she does.
- 3:15Speaker 5: I have a pillbox, like telling me all the stuff,
- 3:18Speaker 5: And I was like, am I supposed to be doing
- 3:20Speaker 5: this right now?
- 3:21Speaker 1: Like you should probably put a few things in there.
- 3:24Speaker 3: Here's the thing. People in their thirties, people in their twenties.
- 3:27Speaker 3: I know there are a lot of influencers.
- 3:28Speaker 5: Who are already getting into this kind of lifestyle, and
- 3:32Speaker 5: I don't know if it's just like muscle memory type stuff,
- 3:35Speaker 5: like you get in the habit of doing it, so
- 3:36Speaker 5: it's better that you keep doing it.
- 3:38Speaker 3: But I am so bad at any.
- 3:41Speaker 1: And I mean one of mine is a multi vitamin
- 3:43Speaker 1: that I'm taking, a little vitamin D. I do some
- 3:47Speaker 1: omega threes. Yeah, And then.
- 3:49Speaker 5: It's so funny though, like I've always thought that not
- 3:52Speaker 5: taking those things makes me healthy, like I've avoided, like
- 3:54Speaker 5: I barely take aspirin.
- 3:56Speaker 3: I do. I do not take any kind of pills.
- 3:59Speaker 5: I'm very like homeopathic in that way.
- 4:03Speaker 3: I don't I don't take any again.
- 4:04Speaker 5: My vitamin is the only thing, and that's where I
- 4:07Speaker 5: feel like I get a lot of the nutrients I
- 4:09Speaker 5: need out of the There's some stuff in there.
- 4:13Speaker 3: There's stuff in there, but I I feel like I'm
- 4:16Speaker 3: missing the mark.
- 4:17Speaker 5: I think I need to be a little bit more
- 4:18Speaker 5: proactive about taking supplements.
- 4:21Speaker 1: I guess I truly would love to sit down with
- 4:24Speaker 1: like a nutritionalist at some point in somebody who's a
- 4:26Speaker 1: supplement expert and find out if any of this really
- 4:30Speaker 1: is doing anything, because the amount of money you're putting
- 4:32Speaker 1: out and all I hear is you take this stuff
- 4:34Speaker 1: and you pee it out.
- 4:35Speaker 5: Yes, that's what I've heard. It's why I don't take them, Like,
- 4:38Speaker 5: that's why.
- 4:38Speaker 1: I like, you're like, you gotta take your flax seed
- 4:41Speaker 1: and your fish oil for your heart and the lycopene
- 4:44Speaker 1: for the prostate, and well see I do.
- 4:47Speaker 5: Take like cheese seeds and flax seed, like I take those.
- 4:50Speaker 1: Supplement that.
- 4:52Speaker 4: Form.
- 4:53Speaker 5: Yeah, Like I'm actually grinding them up in my shakes
- 4:56Speaker 5: that I drink, you know, Like, so it's not a
- 4:58Speaker 5: pill I'm taking.
- 4:59Speaker 3: I'm taking them.
- 5:02Speaker 5: And taking a couple of tablespoons of it and putting
- 5:04Speaker 5: it in.
- 5:05Speaker 3: My you know shake.
- 5:06Speaker 2: Do you take any ranch capsules or no?
- 5:10Speaker 5: I get that from the straight old fashioned way, straight
- 5:12Speaker 5: out the bottle.
- 5:13Speaker 3: Thank you.
- 5:14Speaker 2: Are you the one that eats the frosting right out
- 5:16Speaker 2: of the container.
- 5:17Speaker 5: Yeah, yeah, that's a nice little sweet tree.
- 5:22Speaker 1: Yeah. Is there a pill for that?
- 5:25Speaker 2: You might want to think about the vitamin C.
- 5:28Speaker 4: All right.
- 5:28Speaker 1: So I had to dig a little deeper on this
- 5:30Speaker 1: stuff that came up on the list of the stuff
- 5:32Speaker 1: doctors are scared of, because I didn't know the not
- 5:34Speaker 1: nitrous oxide abuse is the whipp its. Okay, so it's
- 5:39Speaker 1: inhaling or huffing through small steel canisters. So is that, Like,
- 5:42Speaker 1: if you're huffing spray paint on the parking out of
- 5:45Speaker 1: your business before you go.
- 5:46Speaker 2: Into you don't take on the day.
- 5:48Speaker 4: It's the air compressor stuff. Like you can do that
- 5:50Speaker 4: with whipped cream if you don't tip the can upside Oh.
- 5:52Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, I do that all the time before I
- 5:53Speaker 1: go into an all staff meeting.
- 5:55Speaker 2: Very dangerous to the day.
- 5:57Speaker 4: Do not do.
- 5:58Speaker 1: And then the parasite is they think they're saying, if
- 6:02Speaker 1: you think you have some sort of parasite issue within
- 6:04Speaker 1: your body, people are drinking too much wormwood or black
- 6:09Speaker 1: walnut herbal supplements. I don't know what any of that is,
- 6:12Speaker 1: but they have unproven scientific evidence and carry potential health risks.
- 6:18Speaker 1: I don't think I want to eat anything called wormwood
- 6:20Speaker 1: exactly black walnut.
- 6:23Speaker 3: Miss me with both of those.
- 6:24Speaker 1: Yeah, they say real parasitic infections are rare and require
- 6:28Speaker 1: prescription medication, not a wormwood detox. All right, I guess
- 6:34Speaker 1: now we know, Although now I'm not gonna lie. I'm
- 6:37Speaker 1: a little curious though, like, what does what does wormwood
- 6:40Speaker 1: taste like?
- 6:40Speaker 3: Yeah?
- 6:42Speaker 2: It just eat more fruit, right, Katie.
- 6:43Speaker 3: Yeah, exactly.
- 6:44Speaker 5: Well, and that's something I've been trying to do just
- 6:47Speaker 5: again get my vitamins and you know, nutrients in different ways.
- 6:50Speaker 5: Did I tell you about freezing fruits like and then
- 6:53Speaker 5: grating them into a nice little snowy.
- 6:56Speaker 2: Treat that's just snow cone?
- 6:58Speaker 3: Yeah, kind of.
- 6:58Speaker 5: So I saw this on TikTok where you take like
- 7:01Speaker 5: a peach or you know, whatever kind of fruit you
- 7:04Speaker 5: like a strawberry, and you take a cheese grater on
- 7:07Speaker 5: the little side and you grate your frozen fruit into
- 7:11Speaker 5: a bowl and it makes like an icy kind of treat.
- 7:14Speaker 2: But it's brilliant.
- 7:15Speaker 3: It is so good, I'm telling you. So it's just
- 7:18Speaker 3: the way you eat your fruit matters. And so I
- 7:21Speaker 3: think that this is just one more way for you
- 7:23Speaker 3: to get it in.
- 7:24Speaker 1: You know, yeah, just eat the peach normal, don't have
- 7:30Speaker 1: to freeze.
- 7:30Speaker 5: It can, but people get sick of eating the same
- 7:33Speaker 5: thing over and over, so this is this a way
- 7:35Speaker 5: to change it up.
- 7:36Speaker 4: Well, And freezing things can bring out different things of
- 7:38Speaker 4: the fruit, like more antioxidants and blueberries or blackberries, so
- 7:41Speaker 4: it changes the way that the fruit is made up
- 7:43Speaker 4: a little trying to shred a little.
- 7:47Speaker 3: I was trying to mention the larger fruits, so you
- 7:50Speaker 3: get a good grip, big
