- 0:05Carmen Lezeth: We don't even know if we're going to let Rick in.
- 0:07Carmen Lezeth: Hi, cynthia.
- 0:07Carmen Lezeth: Hi, we're a little early because we're going to try.
- 0:12Carmen Lezeth: If Rick does not come on early, we're going to try to do a little recap on 9-1-1.
- 0:17Carmen Lezeth: Okay, do not slip up and tell me what happened.
- 0:21Carmen Lezeth: What I wanted to tell you about was I was a little bit stressed that Athena is that her name?
- 0:27Carmen Lezeth: Athena again is in a drama, and the last thing that what's his name, what's her husband's name, bobby?
- 0:35Carmen Lezeth: Hi, melanie, rick will be here soon.
- 0:38Carmen Lezeth: Rick will be here soon.
- 0:39Carmen Lezeth: Oh, you know what?
- 0:40Carmen Lezeth: I think Rick is here right now.
- 0:51Rick Costa: Yes, let's talk before rick gets here and I'm like, oh, okay, it's like that, wait.
- 0:54Carmen Lezeth: And you heard me the whole time.
- 0:55Carmen Lezeth: Right, wait, here's what's so funny.
- 1:01Carmen Lezeth: Is you know how you?
- 1:03Carmen Lezeth: You slide it out and then you slide it in for the chat room.
- 1:06Carmen Lezeth: So I couldn't see that you were on.
- 1:08Carmen Lezeth: So I was like hopefully he won't come on or whatever I was saying.
- 1:13Carmen Lezeth: And then I happened to just glance over and I see three people.
- 1:16Carmen Lezeth: I'm like, damn it, okay, we're just doing a little recap on 9-1-1, the third episode of the arc of the B-NATO, which I thought the first episode was dorky as all hail.
- 1:32Carmen Lezeth: Right, celia, you agreed with that.
- 1:34Carmen Lezeth: But the second episode, which aired last week, was so good and I'm just saying I'm stressed because I don't want Athena, which is played by Angela Bassett, to be in these situations anymore the poor thing just got off a boat that was sinking her whole house went on fire, right like right now, the whole fire.
- 1:58Carmen Lezeth: She almost lost Bobby, but they all die, almost die, like every other episode.
- 2:02Carmen Lezeth: All right, but you started watching tonight's episode because it's on right now or whatever.
- 2:09Carmen Lezeth: It's on at five, my time, your time.
- 2:12Carmen Lezeth: Eight o'clock, your time, oh my God.
- 2:17Carmen Lezeth: Okay, don't say nothing.
- 2:19Carmen Lezeth: You weren't supposed to watch any of it, so we could just critique episode two For 5 minutes.
- 2:26Carmen Lezeth: No, we're done now.
- 2:28Carmen Lezeth: No, because you know what happens, because the last scene is Bobby Running with Oliver Stark.
- 2:35Carmen Lezeth: That's his real name.
- 2:36Carmen Lezeth: What's his buck?
- 2:37Carmen Lezeth: His character's name is Buck and he's running with him off the movie set and he's like of course, she's driving the plane or whatever Flying the plane.
- 2:47Carmen Lezeth: I was like ah, rick, are you feeling FOMO?
- 2:53Rick Costa: Not really.
- 2:54Carmen Lezeth: No.
- 2:54Rick Costa: Not really.
- 2:57Carmen Lezeth: Rick watch the show.
- 2:59Cynthia Lopez: I promise you would love it.
- 3:01Cynthia Lopez: I even wore my shirt today.
- 3:02Cynthia Lopez: I know you're wearing it.
- 3:03Cynthia Lopez: I'm watching it, Los Angeles.
- 3:04Carmen Lezeth: Fire Department shirt today.
- 3:05Carmen Lezeth: No, you're wearing it.
- 3:05Carmen Lezeth: Los Angeles Fire Department t-shirt and the back is it's cool, right?
- 3:09Carmen Lezeth: It says emergency or whatever.
- 3:11Cynthia Lopez: It's really cool.
- 3:12Carmen Lezeth: Rick, how come you're resistant.
- 3:15Rick Costa: I just have too many things to watch, just like another thing to watch.
- 3:18Carmen Lezeth: No, I feel like we need you to step up.
- 3:23Carmen Lezeth: Look at what t-shirt I have for you, rick.
- 3:26Rick Costa: It's backwards, but it's Star Trek right it's not backwards.
- 3:28Carmen Lezeth: It's the camera.
- 3:29Carmen Lezeth: What do you want?
- 3:29Rick Costa: me to do?
- 3:30Carmen Lezeth: Hers is see, cynthia's is backwards.
- 3:32Carmen Lezeth: You didn't say nothing to her.
- 3:34Rick Costa: Because I don't care about the fire stuff.
- 3:38Carmen Lezeth: Oh wow.
- 3:39Carmen Lezeth: Well then, rick, it was nice having you on the show.
- 3:44Rick Costa: We all know why you like the fireman show it's for the fireman.
- 3:47Rick Costa: Let's be honest.
- 3:50Carmen Lezeth: Oh my God, Look who's on.
- 3:53Carmen Lezeth: Andrea.
- 3:54Carmen Lezeth: Andrea, I just finished telling Cynthia I know Andrea ain't going to be on today, because she always lets me know when she's going to be on.
- 4:03Andrea Nunez: You know what?
- 4:03Andrea Nunez: I just barely looked at the email, like three minutes ago, and then that's the kind of day it's been.
- 4:08Andrea Nunez: So here I am.
- 4:11Cynthia Lopez: Is it soccer practice?
- 4:12Cynthia Lopez: Again?
- 4:12Cynthia Lopez: It is yes.
- 4:15Rick Costa: Hopefully she's not mad at you again.
- 4:17Andrea Nunez: Perceivable future.
- 4:20Carmen Lezeth: Is Natalia mad at you again was the question.
- 4:23Andrea Nunez: Oh no, I think she's okay today.
- 4:26Carmen Lezeth: We had a bit of a tussle yesterday, but we're it's moment by moment it's so funny because I was thinking about you, not that I want to talk about your daughter, but just in general.
- 4:35Carmen Lezeth: You and I were having a conversation about kids and their addiction to makeup at such a young age, and I don't know if you saw the article in the LA Times.
- 4:45Carmen Lezeth: I read it and I was going to send it to you.
- 4:47Carmen Lezeth: It was.
- 4:47Carmen Lezeth: It came in today's paper and it was all about how they're called Sephora kids and these kids are starting at age eight.
- 4:55Carmen Lezeth: But it's actually a.
- 4:56Carmen Lezeth: It's a little scary.
- 4:58Carmen Lezeth: They're starting at age eight Whereas, like when they did the studies, like 10 years ago, they were starting at 12 with the obsession with skincare, the obsession with makeup, and they showed a picture of a young girl maybe she was nine and she's a TikToker, of course and she's telling people that they should use a night cream, blah, blah, blah.
- 5:19Carmen Lezeth: And so all of the makeup companies and all of these skincare, they're towing a line because, on the one hand, they know that the kids are too young, because their skin hasn't fully developed, but on the other hand, you know, they said it very diplomatically, but basically those are their people buying shit from them, so they want to keep them on and I'm like no, there's an easy solution Don't let the kids in the goddamn store if they're not with a parent, and I don't know.
- 5:47Andrea Nunez: Maybe don't give them money or don't buy that shit, but so did you guys see the article at all?
- 5:53Carmen Lezeth: It's.
- 5:54Carmen Lezeth: I mean, I know I wouldn't have thought of you guys, I thought of Andrea.
- 5:56Carmen Lezeth: I just read it this morning and it was a fascinating article.
- 5:59Carmen Lezeth: I'll send it to you on.
- 6:00Carmen Lezeth: Yeah, I didn't see it.
- 6:05Carmen Lezeth: Yeah, but it like, on the one hand, it made me feel better because a lot of kids are not doing anything different, but they're learning a lot of stuff from all of the like instagram and tiktok or whatever, and so they're learning all about.
- 6:14Carmen Lezeth: Melanie just said, at age eight I was lucky to have chapstick.
- 6:19Carmen Lezeth: My mother used to put vaseline on my face.
- 6:23Carmen Lezeth: I just remember when it was cold out especially, it would be like Vaseline on my face.
- 6:29Carmen Lezeth: You know what I mean?
- 6:29Carmen Lezeth: That's what I remember like on the bus, like whatever.
- 6:33Cynthia Lopez: Lather it on.
- 6:35Andrea Nunez: Yeah, what Andrea?
- 6:36Andrea Nunez: I just said wow.
- 6:39Cynthia Lopez: What.
- 6:39Andrea Nunez: Vaseline, yeah, the Vaseline, Like the thought of the thick Vaseline on your face just makes me like oh gosh.
- 6:49Carmen Lezeth: I have beautiful skin, though, so mama did something wrong.
- 6:51Carmen Lezeth: No, I know no.
- 6:53Andrea Nunez: I totally understand why, but I can imagine as a kid.
- 6:57Andrea Nunez: You're like someone slathering that on your face.
- 6:59Andrea Nunez: You're like you know what.
- 7:00Carmen Lezeth: I used to get embarrassed because she would do it on the bus, like it would be, like I guess she would see ashy skin or I don't know what, because I don't remember her saying ashy skin.
- 7:10Carmen Lezeth: That's not a term that was said in my household, but that's probably what it was like dry skin or something, because remember, it's a Spanish household, but I remember vividly on the bus and she would put, and it would.
- 7:22Carmen Lezeth: She'd be mad, like I didn't put it on to begin with, so it was my fault.
- 7:26Carmen Lezeth: You know what I mean.
- 7:26Carmen Lezeth: So that's it, did your mother?
- 7:29Andrea Nunez: okay, I will face the girls out of the house with sunscreen on my hand.
- 7:33Andrea Nunez: Let me like did you put it on your neck?
- 7:34Andrea Nunez: Is it on the back of your neck?
- 7:36Carmen Lezeth: oh, so it is a mother thing.
- 7:38Carmen Lezeth: Yeah, I do.
- 7:40Carmen Lezeth: Okay, cynthia, do you remember?
- 7:42Carmen Lezeth: Did your mother used to do that to you too?
- 7:44Carmen Lezeth: Was it it like a Honduras thing, or something?
- 7:46Cynthia Lopez: It wasn't Vaseline, but it was definitely cream, some type of lotion.
- 7:51Cynthia Lopez: Most of the time it was Eucerin.
- 7:53Cynthia Lopez: I still use Eucerin today.
- 7:58Carmen Lezeth: I still use Eucerin today.
- 7:59Carmen Lezeth: That is what I use on my skin, on my body Every day Moisturize, moisturize, moisturize.
- 8:06Carmen Lezeth: Look at Rick, Andrea.
- 8:08Carmen Lezeth: You missed last week's, when Rick got all befuddled because he wanted to talk about elderly people and masturbation and we were like wow, wow.
- 8:21Andrea Nunez: I have a story about that.
- 8:23Andrea Nunez: Oh, please share.
- 8:26Andrea Nunez: So, rick, now's your chance.
- 8:29Andrea Nunez: Okay, so one day about I don't know a year ago, I'm at Walmart.
- 8:34Andrea Nunez: I don't go to Walmart for all kinds of reasons, but I don't know what I was doing there and you know, everything's all locked up.
- 8:43Andrea Nunez: I think we were looking for some lotion or something like that.
- 8:46Andrea Nunez: Right, everything's all locked up.
- 8:47Andrea Nunez: So you know you have to like get a person.
- 8:49Andrea Nunez: So I'm walking around trying to find a person and I see someone like with the I guess it's a vest that they wear, and they're sort of off in the corner and then closer, I can hear the conversation and I'm starting to see where they are.
- 9:06Andrea Nunez: They're like in the area where there's like condoms and stuff like that, and there was.
- 9:11Andrea Nunez: I swear to god, I can't imagine they would have this at walmart, but I think there was some kind of sex toy and it was two elderly people asking the dude questions about the like.
- 9:24Andrea Nunez: I'm not even kidding, no, it's good, but like I was traumatized I mean I thought you were gonna say something was happening.
- 9:36Carmen Lezeth: In the corner live I was freaking out.
- 9:39Andrea Nunez: That's why I was like this it was like I mean, maybe and I know that I'm thinking about it like what, if it was like a tiktok that someone was doing or something like that, you know what I think question, and I'm like, and you're going in and out like, oh shoot, I'm not moving, though they were asking really in-depth questions, okay, um, but they were like really in their 80s, late 80s, or at least they looked like it.
- 10:09Andrea Nunez: One person has a walker.
- 10:11Andrea Nunez: It was a whole thing.
- 10:13Andrea Nunez: So I was traumatized and I was like okay, you know what you guys.
- 10:18Andrea Nunez: It was just like I'm happy that they're doing it and that they're getting toys and all of that.
- 10:23Andrea Nunez: I don't want to hear about it in a walmart.
- 10:25Carmen Lezeth: I guess you know what okay, listen, you're so crazy to even say that.
- 10:32Carmen Lezeth: Where else are they supposed to ask questions?
- 10:36Andrea Nunez: I don't know, man, I don't know, why you so uptight about sex and masturbation and toys here is really what my issue with it is, and this goes to like not on the list.
- 10:51Rick Costa: Not on the list, look at that she didn't want to hear about it from people to get social security checks why though go ahead, go ahead this was like.
- 11:04Andrea Nunez: This is why you shouldn't lock your shit up.
- 11:06Andrea Nunez: Let me just get my lotion.
- 11:08Andrea Nunez: I don't need to go talk to a person.
- 11:10Andrea Nunez: All of that stuff was locked up too.
- 11:12Andrea Nunez: Just let people buy what they want to buy.
- 11:14Andrea Nunez: I was just so frustrated about that aspect of it, like I gotta come up on what's really a personal conversation about their sex life just because I want to go buy some lotion.
- 11:25Andrea Nunez: Like that's the part that really gets me off.
- 11:27Carmen Lezeth: See, I would have been all up in it.
- 11:27Carmen Lezeth: I would be like go ahead, grandma, go ahead, get your shit.
- 11:32Carmen Lezeth: Go ahead, girl.
- 11:36Andrea Nunez: I am very pro-elderly sex.
- 11:38Andrea Nunez: Do it, do whatever you need to do.
- 11:41Cynthia Lopez: But let me get my lotion without having to hear about it.
- 11:45Carmen Lezeth: That's all I'm saying, cynthia saying again she didn't hear you keep it to yourself, keep it quiet, right?
- 11:52Carmen Lezeth: I'm all for it, but they don't want to see it, they don't want to hear it, they don't want to know about it, yeah okay, I'm just saying it's look at.
- 12:02Carmen Lezeth: I love that that Rick broached the subject last week.
- 12:06Carmen Lezeth: He did not.
- 12:09Rick Costa: He did bring it up, but not like that but it was an AARP and I just thought wow there was an article.
- 12:16Carmen Lezeth: I went and found it.
- 12:17Carmen Lezeth: It was a good article, andrea.
- 12:20Carmen Lezeth: There was an article on AARP that popped up and Rick saw it and it was about like what was it elderly and masturbation or something.
- 12:28Carmen Lezeth: And he was like I didn't want to see it.
- 12:30Carmen Lezeth: And I was like, on AARP, you can choose what articles you want to see.
- 12:35Carmen Lezeth: So we started making fun of him.
- 12:36Carmen Lezeth: What did you choose in your AARP subjects or whatever?
- 12:40Carmen Lezeth: But it was a good, informative article and that's probably where they got it from, like sex toys or whatever.
- 12:47Carmen Lezeth: Like they probably got information.
- 12:48Carmen Lezeth: Okay, again, not on the list.
- 12:50Carmen Lezeth: Um, it's funny, because I wouldn't think you would be that uptight about that, andrea.
- 12:59Carmen Lezeth: I'm just learning so much it was just that.
- 13:03Andrea Nunez: I guess it wasn't that I was uptight, it was just really like uncomfortable and I was like I'm just here for some freaking lotion and I hate being here and I didn't want to come here in the first place and now I gotta hear.
- 13:20Carmen Lezeth: listen, you're talking to the person that talked to my neighbor upstairs and I was was like honey, if you're going to be having sex at two in the morning, if you could be a little bit louder, because it's hard for me to hear it completely.
- 13:31Carmen Lezeth: But the thumping is and he's oh my God, I'm like I'm going to say it every time, cause you don't need to be that loud.
- 13:36Carmen Lezeth: And when a woman is screaming like and it's so fake, how do you not know that?
- 13:41Carmen Lezeth: Maybe fake, how?
- 13:46Cynthia Lopez: do you not know that?
- 13:46Cynthia Lopez: Maybe you don't care.
- 13:47Cynthia Lopez: That's how I am, I don't give a shit, I'm so mean.
- 13:48Carmen Lezeth: But I would love to know what the walmart worker thought of that conversation I thought he was psyched about you, said he was having a conversation with them, right?
- 13:56Andrea Nunez: he was.
- 13:57Andrea Nunez: He seemed pretty uncomfortable.
- 13:59Andrea Nunez: I'm never gonna get my lotion Like I can't interrupt this conversation.
- 14:08Andrea Nunez: Obviously, Right, there's not another person to be seen because they don't ever want to pay enough people to work there.
- 14:14Andrea Nunez: So I was like we got to go.
- 14:17Carmen Lezeth: We're not getting this is because they have everything.
- 14:19Carmen Lezeth: They have a lot of things locked up now because there's been so much of these kind of crash and dash and take stuff and steal stuff or whatever.
- 14:27Carmen Lezeth: I actually don't think that it's.
- 14:29Carmen Lezeth: I've never heard of it happened in my area and the other day, when I was in target, I'm like why are these like that?
- 14:35Carmen Lezeth: And they're like, oh, because I'm like when did it happen?
- 14:37Carmen Lezeth: Then, like what's never happened here, I'm like so why are we locking up toothpaste and deodorant?
- 14:42Carmen Lezeth: I I don't know what that's about it.
- 14:45Andrea Nunez: for sure has not happened in my area.
- 14:47Carmen Lezeth: No it hasn't.
- 14:49Andrea Nunez: As far as I'm concerned, it's okay.
- 14:50Andrea Nunez: So you want me to buy from Amazon?
- 14:52Andrea Nunez: That's what I decided.
- 14:54Carmen Lezeth: I'm like it's just not worth it now to go to your local store, like even CVS.
- 14:59Carmen Lezeth: Cvs has the same thing.
- 15:00Carmen Lezeth: They're all locked up and everything, and'm like I'm not doing this, I'll just order it from amazon.
- 15:11Carmen Lezeth: I don't care, like it's just, it's sad, but they're gonna.
- 15:12Carmen Lezeth: Here's the thing.
- 15:13Carmen Lezeth: They're gonna be out of business, right, they're gonna end up because no one goes there anymore.
- 15:15Carmen Lezeth: So, um, but even prescriptions you can get online.
- 15:17Carmen Lezeth: Now, yep, I mean from legit you could always get prescriptions online.
- 15:22Carmen Lezeth: But I'm just saying, but yeah, wow, this is so fascinating.
- 15:30Carmen Lezeth: I don't know where to go from here.
- 15:32Carmen Lezeth: I guess we're back in AARP's graces.
- 15:44Rick Costa: I never had my mom spread Vaseline over me, but she has.
- 15:47Rick Costa: When I got when I was a child, she put Vicks all over my chest to loosen up the sickness.
- 15:49Carmen Lezeth: Remember, vicks, the way you just said that after that conversation.
- 15:52Rick Costa: It didn't sound right.
- 15:55Carmen Lezeth: I'm the only one who saw that go weird.
- 16:01Andrea Nunez: Vaseline all over me.
- 16:02Andrea Nunez: What.
- 16:07Carmen Lezeth: Vaseline all over me, what I know.
- 16:08Carmen Lezeth: So, look, I think the Vaseline thing too was first of all, it's very protective in the winter, especially when it's not in Los Angeles, when you're in Boston and the snow, whatever.
- 16:14Carmen Lezeth: But I also think it was just one of those things.
- 16:15Carmen Lezeth: That's what she had in her bag as close to moisturize us.
- 16:19Carmen Lezeth: It was like you are not going to be looking like this or whatever, like it was never like a kind thing.
- 16:23Carmen Lezeth: It was like you messed up.
- 16:25Carmen Lezeth: So here you go, you know what I mean.
- 16:27Rick Costa: But she actually do it on the bus, because I thought that's what you said oh yeah, oh yeah.
- 16:32Carmen Lezeth: She put on my her bag and put it shoot, I'm gonna do a lot of things on the bus.
- 16:36Carmen Lezeth: You get smacked upside the head on the bus too.
- 16:38Carmen Lezeth: If you did something wrong hours ago and she remembered, yeah, the bus was at some sacred place where you did it, where family business was not done now.
- 16:51Carmen Lezeth: But yeah, I would just be like we'd be taking the bus somewhere.
- 16:54Carmen Lezeth: You know what I mean, or whatever I was young, it was really little.
- 16:58Carmen Lezeth: I think I was at first grade, first second grade.
- 17:00Carmen Lezeth: That's how I remember it, because I was at saint patrick's in roxbury.
- 17:03Carmen Lezeth: That's in roxbury, right?
- 17:04Carmen Lezeth: That's cool, yeah, when I lived on.
- 17:08Carmen Lezeth: Yeah, oh my God, that's so weird.
- 17:10Carmen Lezeth: Anyways, okay, rick, do you feel like you've gotten all the information you needed on elderly citizens and masturbation and sex?
- 17:19Carmen Lezeth: Do you have any more questions, rick or Andrea?
- 17:22Rick Costa: I am full to capacity.
- 17:23Rick Costa: Do you have any more questions?
- 17:24Rick Costa: Rick?
- 17:24Rick Costa: For Andrea, I am full to capacity Full to capacity.
- 17:30Carmen Lezeth: The church van is fixed and ready.
- 17:32Carmen Lezeth: All of the members will be in attendance.
- 17:36Rick Costa: I'm here to serve if you need more, it's quite all right.
- 17:39Rick Costa: You've done your part, thank you.
- 17:41Carmen Lezeth: So one of the things I put on the list was this idea of work-life balance.
- 17:45Carmen Lezeth: So we're going to switch gears completely, and the reason why I want to talk about it is because I had this really weird experience this weekend.
- 17:52Carmen Lezeth: And it wasn't a weird experience.
- 17:53Carmen Lezeth: Here's the simple truth of it.
- 17:55Carmen Lezeth: On Saturday mornings I have scheduled myself to do work because I don't have enough time during the week and by five six o'clock at night I'm exhausted.
- 18:03Carmen Lezeth: I can't keep doing more work that I hate for my clients.
- 18:07Carmen Lezeth: So Saturday morning I woke up it was like 530 in the morning and I'm like okay, have my coffee, I'm just gonna go through, I'm going to try to do all of these financial things we have to do.
- 18:16Carmen Lezeth: So turned around and just had to do all of these like financial statements, because taxes had to go out and everything, and I went to go do that and it was going to be like five different accounts, 20 different bank statements.
- 18:30Carmen Lezeth: It was a lot of work and my plan was to do most of it Saturday morning and then some of it Sunday morning and then go back into work on Monday and if I had anything left over, then try to do it then.
- 18:39Carmen Lezeth: So all of a sudden I go to my email and I'm about to log on and in the email the guy that I work with one of my coworkers, one of the people that I manage whatever had written in an email to me Friday night and said hey, carmen, just wanted to let you know I did all of the bank statements, everything is done, everything is updated.
- 19:01Carmen Lezeth: It should be all set.
- 19:02Carmen Lezeth: We can talk on Monday.
- 19:03Carmen Lezeth: I have a few questions, but I hope you have a great weekend.
- 19:05Carmen Lezeth: And I started I was like full on bawling, crying and I was wondering how you guys handle work-life balance, because clearly I'm not doing it correctly.
- 19:20Rick Costa: I mean one thing for me, like I said the other day on the program, is once work is done, I'm done.
- 19:27Carmen Lezeth: How do you do that mentally I?
- 19:29Rick Costa: just do it.
- 19:30Carmen Lezeth: But you clock out so you don't have to answer your phones anymore.
- 19:35Rick Costa: Yeah, the phone goes on.
- 19:36Rick Costa: Do not disturb, I don't hear anything anymore and I don't think about it.
- 19:39Rick Costa: Turn everything off and that's it.
- 19:40Rick Costa: I don't think about it until the next day.
- 19:43Cynthia Lopez: And one thing with me is I don't have my work emails connected to my cell phone, because if I did, it would just be going off.
- 19:49Carmen Lezeth: It's not about my cell phone.
- 19:50Carmen Lezeth: Nothing's on my cell phone.
- 19:52Carmen Lezeth: It's not that I'm just answering my cell phone.
- 19:54Carmen Lezeth: It's not that.
- 19:55Carmen Lezeth: Thank you.
- 19:56Carmen Lezeth: That's a good one too.
- 19:57Carmen Lezeth: People should do that.
- 19:58Carmen Lezeth: Why don't you tell everyone again?
- 20:01Carmen Lezeth: You only have your personal emails on your phone that you access regularly all the time.
- 20:04Carmen Lezeth: Yeah, Go ahead, Andrea.
- 20:08Carmen Lezeth: I know you have an answer.
- 20:11Andrea Nunez: I'm just thinking about it and I can't remember now if you, if you and I had this discussion, or if this was like a dream, cause you're a couple of my dreams over the last few weeks.
- 20:20Andrea Nunez: But you said you're just the kind of person who gives your all to whatever you do.
- 20:25Andrea Nunez: That's just your personality, yeah, but that's bad in this case.
- 20:29Andrea Nunez: So what I'm like, that's what I'm thinking about, it like it's in order for you to have a certain whatever the balance is you're looking for, you almost have to go against your natural way of being right.
- 20:46Andrea Nunez: So I don't know that I have a great answer for it.
- 20:49Andrea Nunez: I don't know that I have a great work-life balance.
- 20:51Andrea Nunez: It really was almost like forced on me because I used to really like power through and I would work on something until it's done and stay up till all hours of the night and all that kind of stuff, and I just physically can't do it anymore.
- 21:03Andrea Nunez: There's just a certain period, like a certain time it's usually about, I would say, three or four o'clock where it's I'm not getting anything productive done right now.
- 21:14Andrea Nunez: So I'm just just going to check out, you know, and I will still go back in, check emails or even answer emails or something like that, like later at night.
- 21:22Andrea Nunez: I'm also a night person, so sometimes I think more clearly at night or I am more creative.
- 21:28Andrea Nunez: Yeah, I'm a morning person for sure, but yeah, I mean what it ends up being, and of course, this is part of working from home and also working for yourself.
- 21:37Andrea Nunez: There's just not really an off button.
- 21:40Carmen Lezeth: Yeah, charlie just said.
- 21:41Carmen Lezeth: I guess if you love what you do, it makes the difference.
- 21:43Carmen Lezeth: Yeah, I don't love what I do at all.
- 21:47Andrea Nunez: Yeah, I mean maybe, but you're like, that's what you know.
- 21:51Andrea Nunez: I always have a problem with that.
- 22:00Carmen Lezeth: Like, if you love what you do, you'll never work a day.
- 22:02Carmen Lezeth: No, actually, you'll work your ass off.
- 22:02Carmen Lezeth: You will definitely be working.
- 22:03Carmen Lezeth: Yeah, all this, you see a lot of these tiktokers who end up in that same, like tiktokers who are becoming influencers or whatever.
- 22:06Carmen Lezeth: They love what they're doing or whatever.
- 22:07Carmen Lezeth: And then you see them burn out and they get off of tiktoks and I'm not saying that's what they thought they were going to be doing, but I know what you mean.
- 22:15Carmen Lezeth: Charlie, I totally agree with you that if I loved what I did, it probably would be easier.
- 22:21Carmen Lezeth: But I think I'm not at the point yet where I just physically can't do it anymore.
- 22:27Carmen Lezeth: I feel obligated, like I get paid so well, this has to get done.
- 22:32Carmen Lezeth: I fired people.
- 22:34Carmen Lezeth: We can't hire people till we have it cleaned up.
- 22:37Carmen Lezeth: You know what I mean.
- 22:42Carmen Lezeth: It's almost like it's if I don't get it done, then we can't actually solve the problem to get me from stop doing it.
- 22:45Carmen Lezeth: But there has to be a better way.
- 22:47Carmen Lezeth: And Dan, who did this?
- 22:48Carmen Lezeth: I sent him a thank you.
- 22:49Carmen Lezeth: I'm like I'll take you out to dinner.
- 22:50Carmen Lezeth: I was so happy.
- 22:51Carmen Lezeth: He just powered through it.
- 22:52Carmen Lezeth: He just was like, he just did it.
- 22:54Carmen Lezeth: And he's like and and you know the other thing, and I'll just say not that I want to complain about my hand.
- 22:58Carmen Lezeth: That's the other part.
- 22:59Carmen Lezeth: I've been in so much pain so it's harder to type, so everything is so much harder to do, you know what I mean.
- 23:06Carmen Lezeth: Do you guys do things like take me days, do you?
- 23:09Carmen Lezeth: Is that even a thing anymore?
- 23:10Carmen Lezeth: Do you take personal holidays?
- 23:12Carmen Lezeth: Do you lie to your boss about it?
- 23:13Carmen Lezeth: Yep, expand, do 10.
- 23:22Cynthia Lopez: Yeah, If I've had a rough couple days, whatever at work, I will take a personal day.
- 23:28Cynthia Lopez: Sometimes you just need it.
- 23:30Cynthia Lopez: But again, like Andrea said, it's harder when you work for yourself I think there are pluses and minuses.
- 23:40Carmen Lezeth: I don't know if I'm getting to the point now where I feel like, um, I see the truth in that, but there's pluses and minuses.
- 23:47Carmen Lezeth: Okay, andrea, no problem.
- 23:50Carmen Lezeth: Bye, thank you for stopping by.
- 23:52Carmen Lezeth: We love you.
- 23:52Carmen Lezeth: Bye, girl, and Andrea's dropping down because her connection keeps going up.
- 23:55Rick Costa: Thanks for the education on lubricant Sex toys and elderly.
- 24:00Carmen Lezeth: I'll tell her later.
- 24:01Carmen Lezeth: Bye girl, okay, let me take her off here.
- 24:03Carmen Lezeth: Bye guys, okay, cool, let's jump to the next thing.
- 24:10Carmen Lezeth: Do you guys want to feel old again?
- 24:11Carmen Lezeth: Okay, the movie Speed.
- 24:15Carmen Lezeth: Have you both seen the movie speed?
- 24:18Rick Costa: is that the one with the bus?
- 24:20Carmen Lezeth: yeah, keanu reeves.
- 24:21Carmen Lezeth: Oh yeah, do you know how old it is?
- 24:24Rick Costa: it's old, isn't it?
- 24:26Carmen Lezeth: 30 years.
- 24:27Carmen Lezeth: Wow, wait, here's what's gonna kill you.
- 24:31Carmen Lezeth: Even Do you know how old Keanu Reeves is?
- 24:37Rick Costa: No, See 60s yet.
- 24:40Carmen Lezeth: He's 60.
- 24:41Carmen Lezeth: No way, he is 60 years old.
- 24:44Carmen Lezeth: I'm like, oh my God, sandra Bullock, 60 years old.
- 24:49Carmen Lezeth: Sandra Bullock.
- 24:50Carmen Lezeth: Sandra Bullock looking fine as all hail too, and Keanu Reeves, too, making 60 look like 30.
- 24:55Carmen Lezeth: For sure, kevin Costner, he's not in speed, but you don't hold it, because I started going down this rabbit hole.
- 25:03Rick Costa: Is he pushing 70?
- 25:05Carmen Lezeth: 69.
- 25:06Rick Costa: Oh, I'm up.
- 25:07Carmen Lezeth: Ok, samuel L Jackson.
- 25:11Rick Costa: He's up there.
- 25:12Rick Costa: You got me up there.
- 25:12Cynthia Lopez: Yeah, he's in a 60, right 75.
- 25:20Carmen Lezeth: Yeah, I, he's up there.
- 25:21Carmen Lezeth: Yeah, he's in a 60s, right 75.
- 25:22Carmen Lezeth: Yeah, what?
- 25:22Carmen Lezeth: What?
- 25:22Carmen Lezeth: That's what I was saying.
- 25:23Carmen Lezeth: Okay, all right, here's one.
- 25:23Carmen Lezeth: Do you guys know who kathy bates is?
- 25:24Carmen Lezeth: Oh, yeah, yes, okay, she's starring in a new show too.
- 25:26Carmen Lezeth: It's the revival of member the show matlock.
- 25:29Carmen Lezeth: That our parents, oh yes.
- 25:31Carmen Lezeth: Oh, my god, there's a new matlock.
- 25:33Carmen Lezeth: She's the Matlock or whatever.
- 25:35Carmen Lezeth: Yeah, I haven't seen it, but that's why she was on the article.
- 25:38Rick Costa: She's one of those in misery, right, yeah, that's what I was going to say.
- 25:40Rick Costa: I remember her from that.
- 25:41Carmen Lezeth: And now she's all skinny and everything.
- 25:43Carmen Lezeth: And then the article they asked her like so how did you do your weight loss?
- 25:47Carmen Lezeth: And she's, I worked and then I lost the last 20 pounds with Ozempic.
- 25:54Carmen Lezeth: I knew it, I knew it I was like you know what that answer works.
- 26:03Carmen Lezeth: Girl, go ahead, that's going to be for you.
- 26:06Carmen Lezeth: Me too, I've been working really hard, and then I'm going to go take Ozempic and say that I worked really hard for 10 years.
- 26:15Rick Costa: At least she's honest.
- 26:16Carmen Lezeth: No, it was, but it made me laugh.
- 26:22Cynthia Lopez: I was like okay, she needed that last little push, yeah, but she is 76 years old.
- 26:29Carmen Lezeth: Wow, I couldn't believe it.
- 26:31Carmen Lezeth: I was dying.
- 26:32Carmen Lezeth: She looked good, she looked good.
- 26:34Carmen Lezeth: Okay, this one is the last one, but this shook me.
- 26:35Carmen Lezeth: I don't believe it.
- 26:35Carmen Lezeth: I was dying.
- 26:35Carmen Lezeth: She looked good, she looked good.
- 26:36Carmen Lezeth: Okay, this one is the last one, but this shook me.
- 26:38Carmen Lezeth: I don't know why.
- 26:38Carmen Lezeth: Danny DeVito.
- 26:42Rick Costa: He's got to be up there too.
- 26:43Rick Costa: He's got to be like pushing 80?
- 26:46Cynthia Lopez: He's 79.
- 26:47Carmen Lezeth: Wow, that's incredible.
- 26:51Carmen Lezeth: That's incredible to me.
- 26:53Carmen Lezeth: I'm just saying Wow, wow, yeah.
- 26:57Carmen Lezeth: What are you guys staring at, god?
- 26:59Rick Costa: bless them, oh I don't know.
- 27:01Carmen Lezeth: I know right, it's so weird, it's so amazing.
- 27:03Carmen Lezeth: Oh, how old?
- 27:05Carmen Lezeth: So Molly just asked how old is his wife, Rhea Perlman?
- 27:08Carmen Lezeth: Oh, I don't know.
- 27:10Cynthia Lopez: Oh, she's got to be around the same age.
- 27:13Carmen Lezeth: Yeah, oh she's got to be around the same age.
- 27:16Carmen Lezeth: Yeah, hey Google, how old is Rhea Perlman?
- 27:20Cynthia Lopez: 76 years old, 76.
- 27:22Cynthia Lopez: Wow, yeah, yeah, wow, and they all still look amazing.
- 27:26Rick Costa: Mm-hmm.
- 27:29Carmen Lezeth: Well, yeah, because they're all doing everything very natural, very demure, yeah, everything.
- 27:35Carmen Lezeth: I have an appointment tomorrow for botox, so I'm very excited I do it.
- 27:40Carmen Lezeth: I'm like can you see it?
- 27:42Carmen Lezeth: Can you see the wrinkle?
- 27:43Carmen Lezeth: Yeah, okay, see it.
- 27:46Carmen Lezeth: When you make that face?
- 27:47Carmen Lezeth: Yes, okay, wait, I just want to show the audience See the?
- 27:54Carmen Lezeth: Okay, you can't.
- 27:55Carmen Lezeth: Yeah.
- 27:56Carmen Lezeth: But this is usually really deep If you look at there's an actor who has it and every time I'm like, oh, just a little Botox would help me so much I think of who the actor is.
- 28:05Carmen Lezeth: It's a guy.
- 28:07Carmen Lezeth: It's a guy and it's really deep.
- 28:09Carmen Lezeth: I can't remember who it is, but every time I see it I'm like, oh dear, a little Botox would just help that dent in there, but usually it's really deep.
- 28:18Carmen Lezeth: So, anyway, I don't know.
- 28:19Carmen Lezeth: So, anyway, that's what I'm saying.
- 28:20Carmen Lezeth: Like everyone does everything naturally, you know what I mean.
- 28:23Carmen Lezeth: I just massage.
- 28:24Carmen Lezeth: I massage, that goes away, and I drink lots of water.
- 28:31Carmen Lezeth: Yeah, lots of water.
- 28:33Cynthia Lopez: Are you putting your night cream on in your Vaseline Vaseline?
- 28:38Carmen Lezeth: I think a lot of people used Vaseline back in the day, yeah, especially on my elbows and my knees.
- 28:44Rick Costa: Always.
- 28:45Carmen Lezeth: Always.
- 28:45Carmen Lezeth: That's why I don't have such bad dark.
- 28:47Carmen Lezeth: Audrey used to use it always as a chapstick.
- 28:49Carmen Lezeth: I still do.
- 28:51Carmen Lezeth: I just put it in these little jars.
- 28:56Cynthia Lopez: See, I couldn't do it on my lips because I've been licking it all the time.
- 28:59Carmen Lezeth: Really yeah.
- 29:01Rick Costa: What do?
- 29:02Carmen Lezeth: you use.
- 29:03Rick Costa: Does it taste weird?
- 29:05Carmen Lezeth: Vaseline.
- 29:08Rick Costa: I don't know.
- 29:09Carmen Lezeth: I'm not licking it.
- 29:10Rick Costa: I mean if it's on your lips.
- 29:14Carmen Lezeth: Those things are all the same.
- 29:15Carmen Lezeth: It's just petroleum, right, you know that it's.
- 29:17Carmen Lezeth: Did you know that petroleum it's just?
- 29:20Carmen Lezeth: It's from like when they dig oil wells.
- 29:23Carmen Lezeth: I never knew that People use Vaseline all the time.
- 29:27Carmen Lezeth: They don't know where it comes from.
- 29:28Carmen Lezeth: And then people found out I remember it was a group of people, I remember it was.
- 29:32Carmen Lezeth: We were on tour on a bus and I was like a group of people.
- 29:34Carmen Lezeth: I remember we were on tour on a bus and I was like why is everyone so upset?
- 29:37Carmen Lezeth: Like I was so confused.
- 29:38Carmen Lezeth: You eat fruits and vegetables, you kill animals and eat them, but all of a sudden, like somehow Vaseline is the enemy.
- 29:44Carmen Lezeth: And, by the way, vaseline is actually the brand name.
- 29:47Carmen Lezeth: It's actually petroleum jelly.
- 29:49Carmen Lezeth: It's like saying a Coke, coke is the brand name, but it's actually cola or something right Coke is the brand name, but it's actually cola or something right, or soda or pop or whatever.
- 30:00Carmen Lezeth: Okay, Let me see.
- 30:01Carmen Lezeth: Sitting is the new smoking.
- 30:03Carmen Lezeth: Did you know that?
- 30:05Rick Costa: No.
- 30:06Carmen Lezeth: What?
- 30:06Carmen Lezeth: Oh my God, really Sitting, yeah.
- 30:11Carmen Lezeth: So most people.
- 30:12Carmen Lezeth: Okay, wait, I'll have to send you guys these articles.
- 30:15Carmen Lezeth: These were great articles.
- 30:17Rick Costa: So instead of saying I'm going to go out for a smoke, you say I'm going to go out with Sid.
- 30:20Cynthia Lopez: No, no, no, no, health-wise.
- 30:24Rick Costa: Health-wise.
- 30:25Rick Costa: Oh okay, Now I got it.
- 30:26Cynthia Lopez: Oh, okay, yeah.
- 30:28Rick Costa: I was not See Cynthia, me and you I was not following at all.
- 30:32Carmen Lezeth: Me and Rick were on the same page, I think the people that got confused during this whole thing were you two, not me by all the comments, or whatever.
- 30:42Carmen Lezeth: Wait, I just got a text message and I have a feeling it's somebody I don't want to talk to.
- 30:47Carmen Lezeth: I have no idea, okay, anyways.
- 30:51Carmen Lezeth: Oh wait, it's about my appointment tomorrow for my Botox.
- 30:54Carmen Lezeth: I'm not even kidding.
- 30:54Carmen Lezeth: Wait, oh wait, it's about my appointment tomorrow for my Botox.
- 30:55Carmen Lezeth: I'm not even kidding.
- 30:56Cynthia Lopez: Wait, wait, wait.
- 30:57Cynthia Lopez: I have to get this.
- 30:58Cynthia Lopez: Everybody hold on it's about her Botox.
- 31:00Carmen Lezeth: Oh no, this is an important message.
- 31:03Carmen Lezeth: Please wait.
- 31:04Carmen Lezeth: This is Paula.
- 31:06Carmen Lezeth: We are just confirming your appointment with Brit.
- 31:09Carmen Lezeth: Absolutely yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, okay, all right, okay, okay, okay, okay.
- 31:17Carmen Lezeth: I'm sorry, I didn't realize that today has been a very tough live stream that's funny, okay, so I was reading this article about sitting is the new smoking, meaning that health-wise, it's doing more damage to us.
- 31:37Carmen Lezeth: And it is saying that now we are sitting and not moving more than ever before.
- 31:44Carmen Lezeth: So do you?
- 31:45Carmen Lezeth: I could not believe this.
- 31:47Carmen Lezeth: Most people are sitting 11 to 12 hours a day.
- 31:50Carmen Lezeth: Wow, that seems normal to you, cynthia?
- 31:54Carmen Lezeth: Yep, really, yeah, yep, that's very true.
- 32:05Carmen Lezeth: So they were talking about all these things you should do so that you don't do that, because sitting harms us.
- 32:07Carmen Lezeth: Being inactive it's the idea of being inactive and not moving, because our bodies should move.
- 32:11Carmen Lezeth: It can contribute to and I thought of you, rick, because you deal with this on a regular basis but it pertains to dementia.
- 32:18Carmen Lezeth: There were all these things that they can link it link horrible things to health-wise, and that was one of the things on the list, like dementia.
- 32:26Carmen Lezeth: Blood clots is another thing.
- 32:27Carmen Lezeth: Yeah, blood clots.
- 32:28Carmen Lezeth: They talked about that, and so they gave all these ways in which you should try to move every day and even if you're sitting at your desk, you should not sit still like you can move your feet while you're sitting at your desk, and people have bought like treadmills under their desk, which I think that's weird, but you do, you.
- 32:43Carmen Lezeth: I can't imagine we're at my office or whatever China.
- 32:48Cynthia Lopez: That's so funny is the other day I was on Yahoo and I was reading a little article and they were talking about the same situation, about people sitting for too long, and they were saying people end up with what's called a dead butt and basically because you're not using your muscles basically your butt muscles, your glutes, are what helps your back and your legs when you're walking, what helps your back and your legs when you're walking.
- 33:14Cynthia Lopez: So if you're sitting all day long, you're basically you know having a dead butt, your muscles in your butt.
- 33:25Carmen Lezeth: I feel like my butt is dead now I do.
- 33:26Carmen Lezeth: I used to have a nice butt.
- 33:28Carmen Lezeth: Now I feel like it's a little saggy and I'm very sad about it.
- 33:33Rick Costa: I've heard people say that it was pretty interesting.
- 33:35Rick Costa: Yeah, they say that the strength of your legs is a really good indicator of your health, especially when you get older.
- 33:42Rick Costa: Is there a?
- 33:44Carmen Lezeth: thing called dead boobs, because I got those too.
- 33:48Carmen Lezeth: I love the girls.
- 33:52Carmen Lezeth: I'm just saying this is Rick's favorite show.
- 33:56Carmen Lezeth: I can tell your leg strength and your I think abs are probably the like your core strength, your abs.
- 34:04Carmen Lezeth: If you have great abs you're probably going to do okay.
- 34:07Carmen Lezeth: But, like I'm suffering from really understanding how fit I've always been to, how hard it is to get back on it.
- 34:16Carmen Lezeth: My abs are shot, my butt is dead.
- 34:18Carmen Lezeth: I'm going to use that now all the time.
- 34:20Carmen Lezeth: My legs are not as strong as they used to be at all.
- 34:23Carmen Lezeth: Like, just trying to get back to that level of fitness is so hard.
- 34:27Carmen Lezeth: And I'll do this thing where I'll have a great workout, like I had one great workout the other day or something, and then I'm like dead for two days because I'm in so much agony and pain.
- 34:37Carmen Lezeth: So trying to get back into it is really hard.
- 34:39Carmen Lezeth: So are there things you guys do not to have a dead body?
- 34:44Carmen Lezeth: Please share, please share In my situation.
- 34:50Rick Costa: Yeah, I used to do that, but I can't do that anymore Not outside anyway, but I have to keep getting up to check mom.
- 34:53Rick Costa: So, even if I want to, I literally have to get up do that anymore.
- 34:54Rick Costa: Not outside anyway, but I have to keep getting up to check mom.
- 34:55Rick Costa: So even if I want to, I literally have to get up every once in a while and make sure I have cameras.
- 34:59Rick Costa: But I still sometimes I still can't tell what she's doing.
- 35:02Rick Costa: So I'm like let me go run and see what she's doing so she don't burn down the house or do something crazy.
- 35:06Rick Costa: But yeah, but it's definitely a bad thing Actually.
- 35:10Rick Costa: Out, I bought this thing and you put this on top of your desk and you put your keyboard up here and you stand up and then you just type on the keyboard so that way you're standing.
- 35:21Rick Costa: You're not sitting all the time.
- 35:24Carmen Lezeth: Mellon just said not me.
- 35:25Carmen Lezeth: I'm on my feet at least 10 hours per day.
- 35:28Rick Costa: Yeah, that's tough.
- 35:31Cynthia Lopez: Being on your feet for a long time too, though, is bad.
- 35:35Carmen Lezeth: Yeah, and they're also talking, but she's working.
- 35:38Carmen Lezeth: That's why she's saying she's working.
- 35:40Carmen Lezeth: I think, too, it's this thing where I really believe that you should be moving throughout the day.
- 35:45Carmen Lezeth: Right, it's just walking, or whatever.
- 35:47Carmen Lezeth: Like people are like, oh, I did 10,000 steps, I'm.
- 35:51Carmen Lezeth: Like that used to be my regular.
- 35:53Carmen Lezeth: Like that's not To me, like if I do, I don't do it now.
- 35:57Carmen Lezeth: I don't do it now.
- 35:58Carmen Lezeth: That's how.
- 35:58Carmen Lezeth: I know it's so painful, but there would never be a time that I wouldn't clock in and, by the way, I never cared about wearing a watch or whatever, but you were just so active.
- 36:08Carmen Lezeth: So now I realize how hard it is to get five or 8,000 steps in a day if I actually don't go to work and I'm at home.
- 36:16Carmen Lezeth: It's really hard, so interesting but how it?
- 36:20Carmen Lezeth: used to be.
- 36:20Carmen Lezeth: What do you do?
- 36:21Rick Costa: oh god, I'm sorry, this show was now sponsored by ozempic.
- 36:23Rick Costa: No, it's not, I'm just kidding.
- 36:24Rick Costa: No, and I don't know if we would.
- 36:28Carmen Lezeth: Would we be okay with ozempic?
- 36:31Rick Costa: I wouldn't want to do that why.
- 36:33Carmen Lezeth: Why?
- 36:34Carmen Lezeth: That's an interesting question.
- 36:34Rick Costa: Because I'm very natural, everything natural, really Anti, nah, if it's not natural.
- 36:41Rick Costa: Even if everything else that you've tried, If it's something I have no choice in is life-threatening, then of course, well, wait, wait, wait.
- 36:51Carmen Lezeth: I don't even want to say life-threatening.
- 36:52Carmen Lezeth: Let's change it.
- 36:53Carmen Lezeth: What about do you believe and again, I'm not attacking you Just great conversation, just whatever.
- 36:57Carmen Lezeth: What if it's somebody?
- 36:58Carmen Lezeth: Cause I used to feel the same way about antidepressants for people, cause my thing is, you need to be on in talk therapy, you need to talk your feelings out to it, cause you know Dr Carmen, who's a psychologist, all of a sudden, but I used to think these things, I would never say anything and I was always like, why are people taking so much?
- 37:22Rick Costa: medication and they're not just talking things out.
- 37:23Rick Costa: How do you feel about people taking medications?
- 37:24Rick Costa: I brought that up not long ago also with my mom.
- 37:25Rick Costa: I didn't realize I didn't have that one and she was like totally different personality, like violent, mean.
- 37:33Carmen Lezeth: I'll explain to people.
- 37:33Carmen Lezeth: You had called me and told whatever we were talking, and you said that you had forgotten to give your mom one of her pills yeah, I forgot that I had run out.
- 37:43Rick Costa: So I'm just filling up her little box of pills like here yeah not realizing that one was missing, because I called, and twice actually, and they just never got back to me, and then they just slipped my mind and I forgot.
- 37:57Carmen Lezeth: But you noticed a big change in her.
- 37:59Rick Costa: Oh my Jesus, oh my gosh.
- 38:02Rick Costa: Yes, so mean Just saying horrible things to me.
- 38:05Carmen Lezeth: Okay, so to get.
- 38:06Carmen Lezeth: I don't want to talk about your mom so much, but just to get to the point that we were talking about to begin with, so you can understand how medication helps the situation.
- 38:17Rick Costa: But you're okay with that.
- 38:18Rick Costa: Oh yeah, I know some people that I don't want to know you if you are not on your medication okay.
- 38:23Carmen Lezeth: So how come you don't feel the same way about something like ozempic, if people have a problem where they can't lose the weight in a way that is easier?
- 38:33Carmen Lezeth: They've tried, they, whatever, like.
- 38:35Carmen Lezeth: We can talk about oprah's a great example.
- 38:36Carmen Lezeth: She has all the money in a way that is easier.
- 38:36Carmen Lezeth: They've tried, they've whatever like.
- 38:36Carmen Lezeth: We can talk about Oprah's a great example.
- 38:37Carmen Lezeth: She has all the money in the world, could have all the trainers in the world and she went on.
- 38:40Carmen Lezeth: Whatever it is, she went on, but it's the kind of same thing and now is living her best life.
- 38:45Carmen Lezeth: Would you say that it's unfortunate because she didn't do it, naturally, you asked me.
- 38:51Carmen Lezeth: Yeah, I asked you what I would do.
- 38:52Carmen Lezeth: Yeah.
- 38:57Rick Costa: What I would do, yeah, what I would do.
- 38:58Rick Costa: If somebody else has to do that way and that's what they want to do, that's fine, you do you.
- 39:00Rick Costa: But me personally, unless it's like a life and death thing, I really don't want to take nothing like that.
- 39:05Carmen Lezeth: If there's any possible way to do it naturally, I'm gonna do it naturally so you would say if there's any way you could possibly do anything naturally with your mom not taking medication, you would rather that she not take medication and just do it naturally oh, if there was something heck yeah yeah, so I I have a different thought process on it.
- 39:22Carmen Lezeth: That's cool, I get it.
- 39:24Carmen Lezeth: But I will just say a little bit that there might be some like we're all making a little bit of judgments on people, and now I'm trying, I'm calling myself out because I used to feel that way about mental health until I started understanding that and this is how I understand it in my little simple brain when someone explained it to me was it's taken someone X amount of years to get to this place of depression.
- 39:48Carmen Lezeth: Right, like 35 years or whatever it is that they've gone through, they've gotten to this place and then they're in this depression place.
- 39:55Carmen Lezeth: What some of these medications do is they help speed up that part of the brain that helps you get back on track, and then that, along with talk therapy, helps you get through it faster.
- 40:08Carmen Lezeth: So it's not that they don't have to do any work, but and I don't know is it serotonin, is that what it is in the brain or whatever?
- 40:14Carmen Lezeth: I don't know what it is, but they were just saying that it helps fix that.
- 40:18Carmen Lezeth: So we're not waiting another 30 years to try to fix the problem.
- 40:21Carmen Lezeth: You know what I mean.
- 40:22Cynthia Lopez: Medication is an aid in that sense it helps to balance them out so that they're able to talk out their feelings, because with depression, they can't really find the way to express it.
- 40:34Cynthia Lopez: So the medication kind of balances that out so that they can get it out.
- 40:39Carmen Lezeth: And if you're like 30 years into some drama or whatever, it is like whatever has traumatized you or whatever, I ain't gonna make no judgment on how you get out of that.
- 40:48Carmen Lezeth: I hope it's not through alcohol and drugs, but that's why I understand Like people get mad at homeless people on the street.
- 40:53Carmen Lezeth: You try to walk a day in someone's life where they lost their husband because they had all these medical bills and he died of cancer and then you lost the house and then you lost everything.
- 41:05Carmen Lezeth: And now you're on the street You're begging for money because you haven't had a job in 30 years Cause your job was taking care of your husband and your kids or whatever.
- 41:12Carmen Lezeth: There were so many different stories.
- 41:14Carmen Lezeth: And then people get mad because there are homeless people who are like down on their luck and want to have a drink.
- 41:19Carmen Lezeth: I get it, I totally get it.
- 41:22Rick Costa: And then there's people that have a not a mental, a chemical imbalance in the brain.
- 41:28Rick Costa: It's no fault of their own.
- 41:29Rick Costa: There's nothing they can do about it.
- 41:31Rick Costa: They weren't traumatized, nothing happened to them, it's just something in their brain ain't working.
- 41:35Carmen Lezeth: You just said something that Oprah said about.
- 41:37Carmen Lezeth: I don't think she's using Ozempic, it's a different one.
- 41:40Carmen Lezeth: Whatever it is, it's not the Ozempic one, because I think that's the diabetics.
- 41:44Carmen Lezeth: That's the other one, whatever it is.
- 41:46Carmen Lezeth: Oh yeah, I've seen the commercial.
- 41:48Rick Costa: We go VO.
- 41:48Rick Costa: I've seen that commercial a million times.
- 41:52Rick Costa: I had to sing at some point during the broadcast, of course, but you sang a little bit too much.
- 41:59Carmen Lezeth: There was like a whole chorus.
- 42:01Rick Costa: I'm so sorry, I'm so sorry.
- 42:04Carmen Lezeth: So what she was saying is and again, however, people need to explain.
- 42:10Carmen Lezeth: Whatever they need to explain is fine with me, but I'm just sad that she even thought she needed to.
- 42:14Carmen Lezeth: That's what I felt bad about was you shouldn't have to explain to anyone why you do what you need to do to live your best life.
- 42:23Carmen Lezeth: But what she was saying is everyone who is obese isn't someone who has the same problem.
- 42:32Carmen Lezeth: So a lot of people can drink.
- 42:34Carmen Lezeth: It doesn't mean everyone is an alcoholic, and she was using it like like what you just said about the imbalancing.
- 42:40Carmen Lezeth: So there are a lot of people who are obese or whatever it is overweight, obese or whatever and they have a certain type of gene that isn't going to, no matter how much they starve themselves, no matter how much they exercise, they just can't get past that.
- 42:53Carmen Lezeth: You know what I mean.
- 43:00Carmen Lezeth: To me, when I heard her explain it and I've heard other people talk about it I'm kind of like hey, she said a long time ago, if she had found a pill she said this on one of her shows she'd be the person to buy it.
- 43:13Carmen Lezeth: She would buy it, she would sell it to everybody.
- 43:16Carmen Lezeth: And she found it and I'm like good for you, as long as it's not harming anyone else or it's not doing what we thought it was doing before, which was we thought it was taking away from diabetics drugs or whatever.
- 43:32Carmen Lezeth: I think that was a little myth that was going around.
- 43:34Carmen Lezeth: But I look at, I am struck.
- 43:35Carmen Lezeth: I'll tell you, right now I am struggling because it makes me feel gross not to work out and it's been like too long now.
- 43:43Carmen Lezeth: And here's what I mean.
- 43:45Carmen Lezeth: I'm walking every day, but that's not my.
- 43:48Carmen Lezeth: That's not what I need.
- 43:50Carmen Lezeth: I need the sweat, workout, the hardcore, whatever.
- 43:54Carmen Lezeth: And it's not happening.
- 43:55Carmen Lezeth: Sometimes it is, but it's not and it's getting really hard to do it, whatever Right.
- 43:59Carmen Lezeth: So I was talking to my doctor and I was like so can I get the own Zempik thing or whatever, like would that help me?
- 44:04Carmen Lezeth: And she started laughing Bitch.
- 44:08Carmen Lezeth: She was like no, no, you may not.
- 44:15Carmen Lezeth: She was like there's no need.
- 44:19Carmen Lezeth: She's like what you need to do is eat right.
- 44:23Carmen Lezeth: You know she was doing all that stuff you can get back.
- 44:24Carmen Lezeth: You got to do is eat right.
- 44:24Carmen Lezeth: She was doing all that stuff you can get back there.
- 44:25Carmen Lezeth: You got to do it slowly, whatever I was, just because she laughed at me in a way, it wasn't nice.
- 44:32Carmen Lezeth: I wasn't trying to cheat or anything.
- 44:35Carmen Lezeth: I was just saying am I someone who qualifies?
- 44:37Carmen Lezeth: You know what I mean?
- 44:38Carmen Lezeth: Because, and here's the thing, I don't know, and that they don't know, they don't know, and that they don't know, they don't know if you have to stay on it forever.
- 44:45Carmen Lezeth: That's going to be something they have to figure out, and what are the implications of that?
- 44:49Carmen Lezeth: But people who are diabetics have been on a similar drug, which is the Ozempic one, for a long time and the ramifications are not.
- 44:57Carmen Lezeth: They live, they do.
- 44:58Carmen Lezeth: Well, you know what I mean.
- 45:00Carmen Lezeth: So, yeah, I look at whatever's going to work to make people feel good.
- 45:06Carmen Lezeth: Cynthia, you haven't talked about it.
- 45:07Carmen Lezeth: What do?
- 45:07Cynthia Lopez: you think, yeah, no, I agree.
- 45:10Cynthia Lopez: I think anybody who's tried everything whether they've, you know, worked out, they've eaten right, they've done every single fad that's out there and nothing's worked.
- 45:22Cynthia Lopez: And it's true what you said there are genes in your body, there's hormones in your body that won't let you lose the weight or it doesn't let you know when you're full, so people just keep eating and they end up gaining weight.
- 45:35Carmen Lezeth: That's a good one.
- 45:36Cynthia Lopez: That's a good one and it's hard.
- 45:38Cynthia Lopez: So I think if you know, if it's a last resort cause you literally have tried everything, then I say go for it.
- 45:45Cynthia Lopez: That's why people do the gastric bypass thing.
- 45:49Rick Costa: I was just thinking about that because I know people that have done it and they're like you have to understand.
- 45:54Rick Costa: When you do this, you can't have sugar no more for the rest of your life.
- 45:59Andrea Nunez: Really, that's for everybody.
- 46:01Rick Costa: I know more than one person.
- 46:02Rick Costa: I know that they said first of all you have to lose weight before they even do it to prove that you're serious and that you can do it.
- 46:09Rick Costa: But then they're like you can't have sugar.
- 46:11Rick Costa: And most people that I know that have done it have gained the weight back and now you're screwed because you can't have sugar.
- 46:20Rick Costa: I remember one girl.
- 46:23Carmen Lezeth: it was a birthday party, but then how do you gain the weight back?
- 46:25Rick Costa: Because they just eat other stuff.
- 46:27Rick Costa: But I remember one girl.
- 46:28Rick Costa: She said I can't have that because she had one little bite of a birthday cake.
- 46:33Rick Costa: She had to go home sick.
- 46:33Carmen Lezeth: Yeah, maybe for some people it works and some people it doesn't.
- 46:38Carmen Lezeth: I don't know, because some people have it.
- 46:40Cynthia Lopez: There are some people that do very well with it and have it.
- 46:43Cynthia Lopez: There are some people that do very well with it and they keep the weight off.
- 46:44Cynthia Lopez: Wait who's?
- 46:45Carmen Lezeth: the guy in the morning.
- 46:46Carmen Lezeth: I used to watch him when I was little.
- 46:47Carmen Lezeth: Oh man, he was just on because of the hurricane.
- 46:50Rick Costa: Oh, NBC the black guy.
- 46:53Rick Costa: Yeah, yeah, yeah, he did it he looks good.
- 46:56Carmen Lezeth: He's doing good.
- 46:56Carmen Lezeth: He's been on it for a while, right.
- 46:58Carmen Lezeth: Whatever his name is, that weather guy he's the only one I know Well, because he talked about it all the time.
- 47:06Rick Costa: Come on chat.
- 47:06Rick Costa: Somebody must know in the chat what's his name.
- 47:12Carmen Lezeth: I don't have the chat on, so I don't know if you guys can see the chat.
- 47:15Carmen Lezeth: I don't know.
- 47:15Rick Costa: Yeah, I can see it.
- 47:16Rick Costa: I can see it.
- 47:17Carmen Lezeth: Yeah.
- 47:17Cynthia Lopez: But yeah, I do know others that have done it and they've gained some of the weight back.
- 47:22Cynthia Lopez: How do you gain the weight back if they make your stomachs problem Because they're not controlling?
- 47:27Cynthia Lopez: They're not controlling what they're eating, how they're eating, and they're not exercising and doing what they're supposed to do, because you have to keep up with it.
- 47:39Carmen Lezeth: Here's the thing I prefer people to try that pill than do the surgery.
- 47:43Carmen Lezeth: Surgery is no joke, man.
- 47:45Carmen Lezeth: I waited how many years before I had hip surgery.
- 47:49Carmen Lezeth: You know what I mean.
- 47:51Carmen Lezeth: I know I should have done it a long time ago, but I was not going to go under that knife.
- 47:57Carmen Lezeth: I was dragging during COVID walking outside like Frankenstein.
- 48:02Cynthia Lopez: I was in so much pain, had me doing research on the poor surgeon.
- 48:08Carmen Lezeth: I was because I was so afraid I think surgery should be the last resort and I think the thing I I do like about the pill that people are doing is that it has been used.
- 48:18Carmen Lezeth: I think that's always the best kind of surprise is when they find a drug that does really help for something else that's been helping for so long that, oh, a side benefit might be that it can help other people.
- 48:30Carmen Lezeth: And then they try to like it's not something new, that nobody has ever tried before.
- 48:35Carmen Lezeth: So there's a part of me that kind of likes that and I feel it's a safer thing than doing that surgery thing.
- 48:40Carmen Lezeth: I didn't know about the sugar thing.
- 48:42Carmen Lezeth: Oh Lord, no, I'm a sugar queen.
- 48:44Rick Costa: Some more chocolate cake I have chocolate cake.
- 48:48Carmen Lezeth: I do Tonight.
- 48:49Carmen Lezeth: I have a little chocolate cake for myself.
- 48:52Rick Costa: We're going to sit there on the same wavelength today.
- 48:55Carmen Lezeth: But you guys making fun of me because I like chocolate cake.
- 48:57Rick Costa: I love chocolate cake.
- 48:59Carmen Lezeth: Oh my God, that's my favorite.
- 49:01Rick Costa: I can't remember the last time I had it though.
- 49:02Carmen Lezeth: Wait, are you serious?
- 49:04Carmen Lezeth: Then that's not your favorite.
- 49:05Rick Costa: Because I try not to eat sweets ever, if I can yeah.
- 49:10Carmen Lezeth: Oh God, you're not living your best life.
- 49:13Carmen Lezeth: No, I treat myself at least twice a month at least, especially if I do a good workout or something.
- 49:23Carmen Lezeth: So, yeah, that's my Friday night or Thursday night pants, it's gonna be tonight because, we talk about it.
- 49:28Carmen Lezeth: I did buy it today, but I just buy one slice because if I buy, a whole cake is going it'll be gone that night.
- 49:34Carmen Lezeth: It'll be gone that night.
- 49:35Carmen Lezeth: Yeah, that's worse than wine for me.
- 49:37Carmen Lezeth: Yeah, like I don't buy sweets and have them in the house at all unless I'm going to have, but I always buy one slice.
- 49:44Carmen Lezeth: And people, you're so stupid.
- 49:45Carmen Lezeth: Why are you paying $12 for a slice of cake?
- 49:48Carmen Lezeth: Because that's how much they are when you go buy them whatever.
- 49:50Carmen Lezeth: And I'm like I know I could make a whole cake.
- 49:53Carmen Lezeth: I'd eat the whole cake and then I'd have a real dead butt.
- 49:58Rick Costa: Are brownies on the same level as chocolate cake or no?
- 50:06Carmen Lezeth: I'm same level as chocolate cake or no.
- 50:07Rick Costa: Oh, I'm not a big brownie person.
- 50:08Rick Costa: I can't eat them.
- 50:08Carmen Lezeth: I will eat them that I like too.
- 50:09Carmen Lezeth: Which one do you like better though?
- 50:10Carmen Lezeth: Chocolate cake or brownies?
- 50:14Rick Costa: that's a good question yeah, chocolate cake?
- 50:16Rick Costa: It's not, of course, you're not I would more likely eat brownies more than the cake, yeah all right, I think you're no longer in the cake.
- 50:23Carmen Lezeth: Yeah, all right, I take the cake.
- 50:24Carmen Lezeth: You're no longer in the cake world.
- 50:25Carmen Lezeth: You got cake always.
- 50:27Rick Costa: Yeah, but I love the cake too.
- 50:30Carmen Lezeth: Okay, what's a dessert you don't like that people always have?
- 50:32Carmen Lezeth: I don't know Whoever came up with that thing at Christmas.
- 50:35Carmen Lezeth: That's that fruitcake thing.
- 50:36Carmen Lezeth: I don't care who makes it, I don't care who delivers it, I don't care how bling-bling it is.
- 50:46Carmen Lezeth: Fruitcake sucks people.
- 50:47Rick Costa: It sucks Seriously who came up with that shit?
- 50:49Rick Costa: I don't know Somebody with a big garden.
- 50:53Carmen Lezeth: No, but you guys know what I'm talking about, right?
- 50:55Rick Costa: Yeah, I think so yeah.
- 50:56Carmen Lezeth: I think that's the worst thing I've ever seen or tried to taste.
- 50:59Carmen Lezeth: And people still come to your house at Christmas and stuff and they bring that shit Stop.
- 51:04Carmen Lezeth: And people still come to your house at Christmas and stuff and they bring that shit.
- 51:06Carmen Lezeth: They still bring it.
- 51:06Carmen Lezeth: Stop, because someone gave it to them, they just rewrapped.
- 51:09Rick Costa: Yeah, they re-gifted.
- 51:10Rick Costa: That's like pineapple on pizza for me.
- 51:12Cynthia Lopez: No, I don't think so I'm going to a party tonight.
- 51:14Cynthia Lopez: I'll bring it.
- 51:16Carmen Lezeth: Wait, you don't like pineapple on pizza.
- 51:19Rick Costa: I like pineapple, but not on pizza.
- 51:25Carmen Lezeth: Not on pizza Really.
- 51:25Carmen Lezeth: Yeah, I'm not a big pizza person, which I know is a big surprise to people, but I'm not.
- 51:28Carmen Lezeth: If we were hanging out in person and we ordered something you guys ordered pizza I probably wouldn't even eat any, unless I was really hungry.
- 51:37Carmen Lezeth: I only like really New York pizza.
- 51:39Carmen Lezeth: But yeah, are you guys both pizza people?
- 51:43Rick Costa: I like it, but I don't have it often though.
- 51:46Carmen Lezeth: So pineapple on pizza is your most thing.
- 51:50Carmen Lezeth: Okay, I don't know how we went to pineapple on pizza, but I said desserts, but okay.
- 51:56Rick Costa: Fruit.
- 51:57Rick Costa: We said that fruit thing on Christmas.
- 51:59Carmen Lezeth: Okay, that's right, right, right, right.
- 52:00Carmen Lezeth: Do you guys like?
- 52:02Carmen Lezeth: See, I don't like things that are.
- 52:04Carmen Lezeth: I don't like fruits and desserts together, so I don't like like carrot cake.
- 52:10Carmen Lezeth: That don't do nothing for me, that carrot cake, it just sounds like carrot cake.
- 52:13Carmen Lezeth: My mom loves it, Pumpkin cake or none of those things.
- 52:18Carmen Lezeth: None of those things work for me.
- 52:20Carmen Lezeth: Fruit and cake do not put it together for me ever.
- 52:23Rick Costa: For me, if it's gooey and a consistency that's gooey, I probably ain't going.
- 52:28Carmen Lezeth: I got to think about that for a moment.
- 52:29Rick Costa: Pie.
- 52:31Carmen Lezeth: You don't like pie, like apple pie.
- 52:32Carmen Lezeth: I love it, apple pie.
- 52:37Rick Costa: Flan.
- 52:37Rick Costa: My mom loves flan.
- 52:38Carmen Lezeth: No, no, I don't like flan.
- 52:39Carmen Lezeth: I don't like that.
- 52:40Carmen Lezeth: No, you don't like custards.
- 52:43Carmen Lezeth: No, like you.
- 52:46Carmen Lezeth: You don't like custards, but apple pie and got no custard in it.
- 52:47Rick Costa: You don't like custard.
- 52:48Carmen Lezeth: It's the consistency, I think just wow, there's so many things about you I don't like.
- 52:53Cynthia Lopez: Right now you're off the list different strokes for different folks since we're talking about favorite things, I I was watching the show Stranger Things, so I watched all four seasons.
- 53:06Cynthia Lopez: I don't know if you've seen it, stranger Things.
- 53:07Rick Costa: Even though there's a fireman in it.
- 53:08Carmen Lezeth: I saw the first few seasons, but I don't watch it anymore.
- 53:11Carmen Lezeth: It's too scary.
- 53:12Carmen Lezeth: It's not scary For me, it is.
- 53:15Carmen Lezeth: It's too scary.
- 53:16Carmen Lezeth: The upside down world.
- 53:17Carmen Lezeth: I remember.
- 53:18Cynthia Lopez: Anyway.
- 53:19Cynthia Lopez: So in one of the scenes one of the girls gets hypnotized by this creature and in order to save her and to get her out of there, they have to play her favorite song.
- 53:33Rick Costa: Oh yeah, I remember that.
- 53:34Cynthia Lopez: What would be your favorite song to get you out of a trance or to help you?
- 53:39Carmen Lezeth: OK, I just want you all to know that if you forget this, all you have to do is call my goddaughter, juliana, and she will tell you what it is.
- 53:45Carmen Lezeth: I will tell you right now.
- 53:47Carmen Lezeth: So it's recorded, it's.
- 53:50Rick Costa: George Michael's Carol's Whisper.
- 53:53Carmen Lezeth: Really.
- 53:53Carmen Lezeth: Look at this Really.
- 53:55Cynthia Lopez: Oh, absolutely yeah, that's Juan's favorite song too.
- 53:57Cynthia Lopez: What what, he loves that song.
- 54:09Carmen Lezeth: Would he answer the same way I just did?
- 54:10Carmen Lezeth: No, I I'm gonna ask him later on.
- 54:10Carmen Lezeth: George michael is my man right?
- 54:11Carmen Lezeth: You know that?
- 54:12Carmen Lezeth: That's george michael.
- 54:13Carmen Lezeth: Prince right, freddie mercury, aretha whitney those are the people right that's the same one.
- 54:18Rick Costa: That goes I'm never gonna dance again.
- 54:20Carmen Lezeth: That same song you know very well that's the song motherfucking.
- 54:24Carmen Lezeth: You just wanted to sing.
- 54:26Rick Costa: Oh, my God.
- 54:27Carmen Lezeth: It's like is that the one that goes?
- 54:29Carmen Lezeth: Yes, bitch, what would be yours?
- 54:37Rick Costa: It's probably a religious song that y'all never heard of, so there's no point in singing it.
- 54:40Rick Costa: It's not going to be a religious song.
- 54:41Carmen Lezeth: It's some nasty song, nasty by.
- 54:43Carmen Lezeth: Janet Jackson.
- 54:44Carmen Lezeth: Is that what it is?
- 54:45Carmen Lezeth: No, is it.
- 54:48Rick Costa: I'll say one that you know.
- 54:49Rick Costa: Let's say Smile.
- 54:51Carmen Lezeth: No, it's not Go ahead.
- 54:52Carmen Lezeth: Why don't you tell us All right, all right, for real.
- 54:54Carmen Lezeth: What is your song?
- 54:55Carmen Lezeth: If you were in a coma, what would it be?
- 55:03Rick Costa: this is a song by angela and veronica and it's called lifter of my head okay, you could sing a chorus.
- 55:11Carmen Lezeth: Go ahead it's.
- 55:15Rick Costa: I don't know something about it.
- 55:15Rick Costa: I can't.
- 55:16Rick Costa: I'll have to send it to you if I even knew a hint of the song.
- 55:18Carmen Lezeth: I'd be like rick.
- 55:20Carmen Lezeth: Is that the one that goes like this?
- 55:21Carmen Lezeth: I can't sing, but it'd be funny.
- 55:23Carmen Lezeth: Okay, what if it had to be?
- 55:28Carmen Lezeth: Okay, we're in a remote area.
- 55:31Carmen Lezeth: They only have top 40 songs from when we grew up.
- 55:34Carmen Lezeth: You have to be very specific with right.
- 55:37Carmen Lezeth: The doctor said it cannot be a religious song.
- 55:41Carmen Lezeth: What song would it be to get you out of the coma?
- 55:43Carmen Lezeth: That is the only medicine.
- 55:44Rick Costa: It would have to be by either Mariah Carey or Whitney Houston, probably.
- 55:50Carmen Lezeth: Okay, what song?
- 55:50Carmen Lezeth: Oh gosh.
- 55:53Carmen Lezeth: And I that might make me go back to sleep.
- 56:03Carmen Lezeth: I can't sing at all and that song is like the hardest song ever.
- 56:08Cynthia Lopez: And I, I, I.
- 56:10Cynthia Lopez: It'll be Carmen singing it to you.
- 56:14Rick Costa: Yes, I'll wake up and be like please stop.
- 56:20Cynthia Lopez: I'll do anything.
- 56:22Rick Costa: Wait, that is so funny, that would work, yes, oh my god, it's snow white with the kiss, finally wakes up that is so funny.
- 56:36Carmen Lezeth: Okay, we got it.
- 56:37Carmen Lezeth: Carmen singing whitney houston I will always love you, got it, got it.
- 56:41Carmen Lezeth: That song is so hard to sing and no one can sing it like she did.
- 56:45Carmen Lezeth: No one can oh.
- 56:46Rick Costa: I did see a girl on one of those shows the talent, whatever and wow, I was like Whitney we proud of you, girl.
- 56:55Carmen Lezeth: Well, I mean, I think people haven't done justice to it.
- 56:57Carmen Lezeth: I mean, Jennifer Hudson just sang it the other day and it was off the hook, but it was not Whitney.
- 57:02Rick Costa: Did she just get married or engaged who?
- 57:04Rick Costa: Off the hook, but it was not Whitney.
- 57:04Rick Costa: Did she just get married or engaged who?
- 57:05Rick Costa: Jennifer Hudson?
- 57:07Cynthia Lopez: I think she's married.
- 57:08Rick Costa: Let me text her.
- 57:09Rick Costa: Somebody with a talk show that was on American Idol.
- 57:11Rick Costa: I think just got engaged.
- 57:13Carmen Lezeth: I don't know the gossipy stuff.
- 57:15Rick Costa: Okay, I just happened to see it.
- 57:17Carmen Lezeth: Who is she engaged to?
- 57:19Rick Costa: I don't remember his name.
- 57:23Andrea Nunez: I'm just wondering, because you were so intrigued, hey Google, who is jennifer hudson, married to according to wikipedia, hudson met david otunga, a professional wrestler in the wwe and a harvard law graduate, and the couple became engaged in september 2008 in august is that who he're talking about?
- 57:46Cynthia Lopez: Somebody else, then I'm thinking of Maybe it was Jordan Sparks that got engaged?
- 57:50Cynthia Lopez: No, it wasn't her.
- 57:52Rick Costa: I know her for sure.
- 57:53Rick Costa: No, it wasn't her either.
- 57:55Carmen Lezeth: No, Jennifer Hudson's the one who sings.
- 57:57Rick Costa: She has a talk show.
- 57:59Carmen Lezeth: Yeah, so she's had a partner.
- 58:03Carmen Lezeth: Oh, it doesn't say whoever the recent person is, but she was married.
- 58:07Carmen Lezeth: Oh, she's dating Common.
- 58:10Rick Costa: Oh, I think that's the one.
- 58:11Rick Costa: I think that's the one yeah.
- 58:12Rick Costa: Common, that's the one.
- 58:14Carmen Lezeth: Oh, we love Common Okay.
- 58:16Rick Costa: That's the one.
- 58:17Rick Costa: That's the one.
- 58:17Carmen Lezeth: Yeah, okay, all right, they're not married.
- 58:20Carmen Lezeth: It just says it's her partner.
- 58:32Carmen Lezeth: All right, we got celebrity gossip out of the way, yeah, so anything else you want to know?
- 58:34Carmen Lezeth: Oh my god, it's already 115.
- 58:35Carmen Lezeth: Oh, yeah, wow, 15, 111 or something same thing, but we spent like 10 minutes talking about stupid chat room.
- 58:38Cynthia Lopez: Shit, what, what do you?
- 58:42Carmen Lezeth: want to know my song.
- 58:43Carmen Lezeth: I don't care you have wine.
- 58:46Carmen Lezeth: He should know your song, oh that was wine song, that's right.
- 58:48Rick Costa: What was yours then?
- 58:51Cynthia Lopez: down under by men at work.
- 58:53Carmen Lezeth: No no, you're in a coma and I'm gonna have that song.
- 58:57Carmen Lezeth: I love that song.
- 58:58Carmen Lezeth: Is it the same song?
- 59:01Carmen Lezeth: I'm thinking Okay, hum it or sing it for me.
- 59:03Carmen Lezeth: Do you come and land on a moon?
- 59:06Carmen Lezeth: Yeah, why, that's your favorite song.
- 59:11Carmen Lezeth: I love that song.
- 59:12Cynthia Lopez: What is the meaning?
- 59:13Cynthia Lopez: I don't know.
- 59:14Cynthia Lopez: I just love the song.
- 59:16Cynthia Lopez: It might have been because I've always wanted to go to Australia.
- 59:19Cynthia Lopez: I don't know.
- 59:20Carmen Lezeth: You want to go to Australia?
- 59:21Carmen Lezeth: Okay, we'll talk about that.
- 59:22Carmen Lezeth: Let's go to Australia.
- 59:26Carmen Lezeth: Okay, we'll talk about that.
- 59:27Carmen Lezeth: Let's go to Australia instead.
- 59:29Carmen Lezeth: It's a longer trip, yeah, that's a I would.
- 59:30Carmen Lezeth: Okay, you were surprised by mine, carol.
- 59:32Carmen Lezeth: At least mine is in the genre of George Michael.
- 59:35Carmen Lezeth: We like them.
- 59:36Carmen Lezeth: You weren't surprised.
- 59:37Carmen Lezeth: It's George Michael.
- 59:38Carmen Lezeth: What song would you have thought it was?
- 59:40Cynthia Lopez: I don't know, I thought you would have picked a Prince song.
- 59:43Carmen Lezeth: actually, yeah, no, people who know me, like my real friends it's George Michael and Prince have the same kind of place In my life, like the love.
- 59:55Carmen Lezeth: The love is there for both of them fiercely.
- 59:58Carmen Lezeth: But I have always, always been a George Michael fan, since day one, since he was doing Wham Rap.
- 1:00:05Carmen Lezeth: You know what I mean.
- 1:00:07Carmen Lezeth: It's so dorky back in the day in the 80s Prince was later on that I just fell in love.
- 1:00:13Carmen Lezeth: But it is, yeah, it's always George Michael probably.
- 1:00:17Carmen Lezeth: The reason why Juliana would know my goddaughter is because in my car I have a CD player still right, because it's an old car, right it turned 20 years old, october 4th, my car Wow, it's in perfect condition.
- 1:00:30Carmen Lezeth: Yeah, 70,000 miles.
- 1:00:32Carmen Lezeth: It finally turned over to the next yeah.
- 1:00:37Rick Costa: Who do you think is?
- 1:00:38Carmen Lezeth: prettier Prince or George Michael?
- 1:00:39Carmen Lezeth: Oh, they're two different, but they're both gorgeous.
- 1:00:41Carmen Lezeth: They're both just beautiful men, but they're different, right?
- 1:00:45Carmen Lezeth: Both gorgeous, they're both just beautiful men, but they're different, right?
- 1:00:47Carmen Lezeth: Yeah, they're very different.
- 1:00:47Carmen Lezeth: Who do you think is prettier, rick?
- 1:00:50Rick Costa: As a guy yeah.
- 1:00:54Carmen Lezeth: Or as a woman, however you want to call it.
- 1:00:55Rick Costa: I just think they're different, I'd probably lean towards George, honestly.
- 1:00:59Carmen Lezeth: I think Prince is such a sensual.
- 1:01:03Carmen Lezeth: There's just something.
- 1:01:05Carmen Lezeth: He's got like an exotic look An exotic look, but there's also just something really deeply sensual about him.
- 1:01:14Carmen Lezeth: He was probably the kid in school.
- 1:01:16Carmen Lezeth: Yeah, he was short or whatever and very tiny whatever, but he probably walked in the room and owned it even when he was seven.
- 1:01:24Carmen Lezeth: I think you can just see that he's that guy, that kid.
- 1:01:28Rick Costa: And the fact that he could play any instrument practically makes him the coolest.
- 1:01:31Carmen Lezeth: But he was self-taught too.
- 1:01:33Carmen Lezeth: It's pretty amazing to have that here.
- 1:01:35Carmen Lezeth: But George Michael, I think what I loved about him, I don't know I loved that he was a dorky guy who was singing rap and that somehow he was accepted into kind of the whole community.
- 1:01:49Carmen Lezeth: That was because he always gave props to black artists and like in a real authentic way and it was just interesting to watch him.
- 1:01:59Carmen Lezeth: But I always knew he was gay, but we were always hoping he wasn't or like when we had that moment where we thought we could change, was it him and aretha that did the song.
- 1:02:12Rick Costa: I knew you were waiting see I gotta go listen.
- 1:02:18Carmen Lezeth: so here's the thing in my car and my honda, the I mean I have a lot of CDs, that but it never changes.
- 1:02:24Carmen Lezeth: It is a CD of just George Michael's best songs, and every time I hang out when I used to hang out with Julia, cause you know Juliana because now she's older, now she's 16.
- 1:02:35Carmen Lezeth: And so she ain't got time for her godmother.
- 1:02:37Carmen Lezeth: You know what I mean, but we sing that song at the top of our lungs.
- 1:02:41Carmen Lezeth: Yeah, that's what she would know.
- 1:02:43Carmen Lezeth: Yeah, cynthia would have failed that answer.
- 1:02:46Carmen Lezeth: It's so sad, like you had a test on Carmen and if you failed it I would die, but if you got it right I would live.
- 1:02:54Rick Costa: I would be dead.
- 1:02:55Rick Costa: Wow, it's interesting too that we all picked the opposite sex for the song singer.
- 1:03:01Rick Costa: So I said Mariah or Whitney.
- 1:03:06Rick Costa: I said George, and you said no, I just said it's interesting yeah.
- 1:03:13Carmen Lezeth: I think if I was in a coma, if you put on music that I like, I would you know I wouldn't, because that's what they say.
- 1:03:19Cynthia Lopez: I guess why are we talking like that?
- 1:03:22Carmen Lezeth: Why are we talking like?
- 1:03:22Cynthia Lopez: that.
- 1:03:23Carmen Lezeth: It's weird, because if I'm in a coma play some music I like.
- 1:03:27Carmen Lezeth: I'm going to come and sing baby I'm going to come and sing.
- 1:03:30Rick Costa: I'm going to sing.
- 1:03:31Carmen Lezeth: I'm going to sing Smile.
- 1:03:33Carmen Lezeth: I'm going to sing songs I don't even know.
- 1:03:35Rick Costa: I'm going to pull the thing out of my mouth Shut up, stop, carmen.
- 1:03:48Carmen Lezeth: Hey, he's going to say I know Mariah, I know some Mariah songs.
- 1:03:53Carmen Lezeth: If I can't do Whitney songs, I really can't do.
- 1:03:56Carmen Lezeth: But yeah, okay, cool, this was fun.
- 1:04:00Carmen Lezeth: I'm sorry about the chat people.
- 1:04:02Carmen Lezeth: We didn't have a lot of people chatting afterwards, right, I guess it doesn't matter, it's okay.
- 1:04:07Carmen Lezeth: I want to say thank you to Melanie and Charlie and Andrea, of course, and yeah, I appreciate you guys coming on.
- 1:04:13Carmen Lezeth: Yeah, are you guys working tomorrow?
- 1:04:15Carmen Lezeth: Yep, okay, cynthia, you're going to watch the rest of 9-1-1 tonight.
- 1:04:19Carmen Lezeth: I know I'll watch it tomorrow, okay.
- 1:04:20Carmen Lezeth: Do you want to talk this weekend about it?

- 1:04:25Carmen Lezeth: Okay, I'm going to watch it right now.
- 1:04:26Carmen Lezeth: I am totally going to watch it and then we can talk about it.
- 1:04:29Carmen Lezeth: Are you going to be around?
- 1:04:29Carmen Lezeth: I love your t-shirt, thank you.
- 1:04:33Rick Costa: Cynthia, are you watching Agatha all along?
- 1:04:36Rick Costa: No, not yet okay, you're off the list.
- 1:04:41Carmen Lezeth: Oh wait do I be watching Agatha all along?
- 1:04:44Carmen Lezeth: You have?
- 1:04:44Rick Costa: Disney plus.
- 1:04:44Rick Costa: Do you know why I don't have Disney plus off the list?
- 1:04:46Carmen Lezeth: oh, wait, do I be watching agatha all along?
- 1:04:47Carmen Lezeth: Isn't that disney plus I can get?
- 1:04:47Carmen Lezeth: Okay, do you know why I don't have disney plus?
- 1:04:49Carmen Lezeth: Because if there's nothing to watch that you want to try it I don't keep streaming services just to keep paying monthly, but I could get it for a month.
- 1:04:57Carmen Lezeth: Should I watch it, or is it good?
- 1:04:59Carmen Lezeth: You want to give us a little recap?
- 1:05:01Rick Costa: if you liked wandavision a lot, then you maybe might like it.
- 1:05:05Rick Costa: If it's like this, then I'm not sure you're going to like it.
- 1:05:09Carmen Lezeth: Is it as good as or better than Loki?
- 1:05:12Carmen Lezeth: No, Okay, then no no.
- 1:05:15Rick Costa: Loki's up here, way up here, the bar has to go higher.
- 1:05:18Carmen Lezeth: For me, like I have to, is it better than WandaVision?
- 1:05:22Rick Costa: No.
- 1:05:22Carmen Lezeth: No, is it better than WandaVision?
- 1:05:24Rick Costa: No, no, okay, no A lot of similarities.
- 1:05:28Carmen Lezeth: Is it better than?
- 1:05:29Rick Costa: Deadpool.
- 1:05:29Rick Costa: Deadpool's a different animal, though, yeah, because Deadpool's designed to make you laugh and it was just designed to be crazy.
- 1:05:35Carmen Lezeth: I really want to fly to New York and see Hugh Jackman in his Broadway play that he's doing.
- 1:05:39Carmen Lezeth: Did you see that he's doing a show?
- 1:05:42Carmen Lezeth: Did you see what he so this?
- 1:05:46Carmen Lezeth: Did you see what he so he's on?
- 1:05:46Carmen Lezeth: I saw it on facebook.
- 1:05:47Carmen Lezeth: Actually, he's like all right, everybody, so I'm gonna do this.
- 1:05:48Carmen Lezeth: And he's sitting on a couch and there's a stairwell behind him.
- 1:05:51Carmen Lezeth: You know he's in his living room, whatever, and he's so I hope you guys will.
- 1:05:54Carmen Lezeth: And then, of course, ryan reynolds is that his name?
- 1:05:56Carmen Lezeth: Yeah, I was walking behind him and he's hey, you're gonna come watch me in the show.
- 1:05:58Carmen Lezeth: And he's like why am I in it?
- 1:05:59Carmen Lezeth: And he's yeah, sure.
- 1:05:59Carmen Lezeth: And he's like, hey, are you going to come watch me in the show?
- 1:06:01Carmen Lezeth: And he's like why Am I in it?
- 1:06:03Carmen Lezeth: And he's like, yeah, sure.
- 1:06:04Carmen Lezeth: And he's like, yeah, okay, I'll come, it'll be fun and it's totally.
- 1:06:07Carmen Lezeth: He's not going to be in it, but they're so cute together.
- 1:06:10Carmen Lezeth: But Hugh Jackman is going to be doing I think it's 30 Days in New York live on Broadway, and it's just going to be him.
- 1:06:27Rick Costa: Somebody wants to give me?
- 1:06:28Carmen Lezeth: an early birthday gift.
- 1:06:28Carmen Lezeth: My birthday's in January, but I keep buying myself stuff for my birthday.
- 1:06:30Rick Costa: I showed you guys, my new sneakers right.

- 1:06:32Carmen Lezeth: I wore them the other day.
- 1:06:32Carmen Lezeth: I got so many compliments.
- 1:06:33Carmen Lezeth: They're so cute.
- 1:06:35Rick Costa: I think a really funny running joke.
- 1:06:36Rick Costa: If Ryan wanted to be funny with you is like just Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman.
- 1:06:42Carmen Lezeth: Oh, I thought he said Hugh.
- 1:06:43Rick Costa: No, hugh, if Just Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman.
- 1:06:46Rick Costa: Oh, I thought he said Hugh.
- 1:06:46Rick Costa: No, hugh, if Ryan showed up and Hugh didn't even know and just walked past him.
- 1:06:48Rick Costa: Even if it's an interview or something be like till you're 90.
- 1:06:52Rick Costa: Which is from the if you saw the movie.
- 1:06:54Rick Costa: Yeah, that was so funny.
- 1:06:56Carmen Lezeth: You have to do that till he's 90.
- 1:06:57Carmen Lezeth: I wish I had kept the link because it would have been so funny.
- 1:07:02Carmen Lezeth: So there's this little.
- 1:07:09Carmen Lezeth: I don't know if you saw it on instagram.
- 1:07:10Carmen Lezeth: I'll tag you guys.
- 1:07:11Carmen Lezeth: I don't know how old it is, but it's hugh jackman saying, just to bring it all back, saying that the song that whitney houston sings, I will always love you.
- 1:07:15Carmen Lezeth: At the end she says I love hugh and she actually does say that and he's alone.
- 1:07:22Carmen Lezeth: Listen, everybody listen.
- 1:07:23Carmen Lezeth: And he's so cute because he thinks I'll tag you guys in it.
- 1:07:24Carmen Lezeth: It's on that and he's a little.
- 1:07:24Carmen Lezeth: Listen, everybody listen.
- 1:07:25Carmen Lezeth: And he's so cute because he thinks I'll tag you guys in it.
- 1:07:26Carmen Lezeth: It's on instagram and it's so adorable.
- 1:07:29Carmen Lezeth: But she actually does say I love, I'm not gonna try to sing it.
- 1:07:33Cynthia Lopez: She does say you gotta learn it, you gotta learn it for rick.
- 1:07:42Carmen Lezeth: I know the song.
- 1:07:43Carmen Lezeth: I want to really work on it a little bit.
- 1:07:46Carmen Lezeth: I know the song but I can't get those notes.
- 1:07:49Carmen Lezeth: You know what I mean, so I'm trying to work on it.
- 1:07:51Carmen Lezeth: That's the only problem with my singing.
- 1:07:53Carmen Lezeth: Poor Rick, good thing.
- 1:07:58Carmen Lezeth: I don't live in Connecticut, peaky.
- 1:07:59Cynthia Lopez: Millie Vanilliate.
- 1:08:00Cynthia Lopez: What Peaky Millie Vanilliate.
- 1:08:04Rick Costa: Oh my God.
- 1:08:04Rick Costa: God girl, you know, it's true.
- 1:08:06Carmen Lezeth: Oh my god the thing is, so many people lip sync now it's so weird, but they were.
- 1:08:14Carmen Lezeth: They never were singing the song.
- 1:08:16Carmen Lezeth: But I'm sorry, jennifer lopez, that's all I'm gonna say.
- 1:08:18Carmen Lezeth: I don't know but it wasn't their voices, though right.
- 1:08:21Rick Costa: It wasn't their voices, though right.
- 1:08:23Carmen Lezeth: It wasn't their voices, it was someone else's.
- 1:08:25Carmen Lezeth: That's different.
- 1:08:26Rick Costa: At least if it's you and you're lip-syncing and it's still you.
- 1:08:29Carmen Lezeth: Yeah, but if it's you and you're using a synthesizer, again, I could sing perfectly with a synthesizer.
- 1:08:34Carmen Lezeth: That's the whole problem I'm having.
- 1:08:35Carmen Lezeth: I'm sorry.
- 1:08:36Carmen Lezeth: That's why a lot of the artists today Jennifer Lopez is a good one they can't sing without equipment.
- 1:08:44Carmen Lezeth: We can all sing with fucking equipment.
- 1:08:46Rick Costa: Yeah, I saw a video come up in my feed on YouTube the other day with Michael Jackson.
- 1:08:51Carmen Lezeth: Nothing, no music no, nothing.
- 1:08:54Rick Costa: And it's brilliant, he's amazing.
- 1:08:56Carmen Lezeth: They do that with a lot of them now.
- 1:08:58Carmen Lezeth: They did it with Whitney, they did it with Prince, they did many of them with George Michael, but those are people who can actually sing, so then they did it with Jennifer.
