- 3:26Speaker 4: Good evening and welcome to Believe in the Journey podcast
- 3:29Speaker 4: where I am your host, Trevita Harris. As you guys know,
- 3:33Speaker 4: I am in South Carolina and we are still recovering
- 3:37Speaker 4: from Halen the hurricane. So I am using my phone
- 3:41Speaker 4: tonight for doing this show. So please bear with me.
- 3:46Speaker 4: If we go in and out. Are the connection as chopping.
- 3:50Speaker 4: I had to switch rooms in order to be able
- 3:53Speaker 4: to get a better connection. I'm using my phone. The
- 3:56Speaker 4: towers are still not producing the very strong signals, so
- 4:01Speaker 4: just bear with me. But I did not want to
- 4:03Speaker 4: cancel the show because I believe what we need to
- 4:07Speaker 4: talk about tonight is what God intends for the ears
- 4:11Speaker 4: to hear. So before we do anything, I want to
- 4:14Speaker 4: go to God in prayer. Dear Heavenly Father, thank you
- 4:17Speaker 4: for bringing us together tonight, as you do each and
- 4:19Speaker 4: every time we're in front of you. A lot of
- 4:22Speaker 4: us are still recovering, but you kept us covered and
- 4:24Speaker 4: you protected us through the storm. Even though the storm
- 4:28Speaker 4: is over, many of us are still struggling to make
- 4:32Speaker 4: the best of a situation, but we know that you
- 4:35Speaker 4: have provided each and everything that we've needed to get
- 4:37Speaker 4: through to this day, in this moment, Continue to watch
- 4:41Speaker 4: over us and continue to provide everything that we stand
- 4:44Speaker 4: in need of, things spoken and those things that are unspoken.
- 4:48Speaker 4: You know what it is that we need. Let the
- 4:50Speaker 4: words of my mouth fall upon the ears that need
- 4:53Speaker 4: to hear Tonight. Everything that we do is because of you.
- 4:56Speaker 4: Everything that we are is because of you. Help us
- 4:59Speaker 4: to continue to walk on the path that you have
- 5:01Speaker 4: directed for us. This storm was only a temporary thing,
- 5:05Speaker 4: and it cleared out some things that we didn't even
- 5:07Speaker 4: know needed to be cleared. Continue to give us the
- 5:10Speaker 4: grace and mercy that we need to walk the path
- 5:13Speaker 4: that you have for us. This was just a temporary
- 5:16Speaker 4: detour for us to get to where you have us going.
- 5:19Speaker 4: There is purpose behind everything that has happened. Let us
- 5:24Speaker 4: keep focused on the purpose and not what happened, because
- 5:28Speaker 4: what happened was necessary and your pressure, Holy name, Jesus,
- 5:34Speaker 4: I pray amen. Tonight. My guest is author Fredrika Win
- 5:39Speaker 4: and we're gonna be talking to her because not only
- 5:42Speaker 4: is she an author, she's so a nominee for the
- 5:45Speaker 4: Distinguished Author Distinguished Author's Guild Award that is coming up
- 5:49Speaker 4: on November the tenth. Let's welcome my guest's author, Fredrika Win. Hey, girl,
- 5:58Speaker 4: how are I am good? How about yourself? I'm good, well, awesome.
- 6:06Speaker 4: I'm grateful to have you on the show. Now I
- 6:09Speaker 4: want you to tell them a little bit about yourself
- 6:12Speaker 4: and then we're gonna get into this conversation about God's favor.
- 6:17Speaker 2: Okay, Well, I'm from Milwaukee, Wisconsin. I am a self
- 6:21Speaker 2: published author. Of course, I have four books that I
- 6:25Speaker 2: have published. I have two children's books, and I have
- 6:28Speaker 2: a self care book, and I also have a biraphy.
- 6:32Speaker 2: I work around kids. I'm also a school bus driver.
- 6:34Speaker 2: I do daycare teaching around daycare facilities. So yeah, I
- 6:41Speaker 2: do a Lot's.
- 6:45Speaker 4: Be wrong with doing a lot. I know, if you
- 6:49Speaker 4: have kids, they're consistently trying to tell you when you
- 6:52Speaker 4: need to sit down and when you need to rest
- 6:54Speaker 4: and all of those things. At least that's what I
- 6:56Speaker 4: get from my kids, because they tell me all the
- 6:59Speaker 4: time that they're having a hardest time raising me. I
- 7:02Speaker 4: don't think I'm not bad, but let my kids tell it.
- 7:06Speaker 4: I'm a bad a bad child who doesn't listen, who
- 7:12Speaker 4: needs a babysitter?
- 7:16Speaker 2: So that yea, My kids tell me what I need
- 7:23Speaker 2: to do and what I don't need to do. So
- 7:25Speaker 2: we have a very good relationship.
- 7:32Speaker 4: Hell, my kids, they tend to think that they're the
- 7:35Speaker 4: parent of me versus the other way around. But I'm
- 7:39Speaker 4: not I'm not gonna complain about it, because you know,
- 7:41Speaker 4: some kids don't really have a good relationship with their parents.
- 7:46Speaker 4: So it's it's a good thing and it's a blessing. Okay.
- 7:51Speaker 4: Now I want to ask you when you started, like
- 7:55Speaker 4: you started writing as a team and that carried on.
- 7:58Speaker 4: What led you to actually self publishing your first book?
- 8:04Speaker 2: Well through the time. When I first did my first book,
- 8:07Speaker 2: which was Discernment, I did that right around Kobe, okay,
- 8:12Speaker 2: and it was time for me to write. I always
- 8:15Speaker 2: thought about writing, but during that time, I was in
- 8:19Speaker 2: a very very very dark place with a lot of
- 8:22Speaker 2: different things that I was juggling with. I had lost
- 8:25Speaker 2: my sister, my older sister, in twenty fourteen. Right after that,
- 8:32Speaker 2: some years twenty twenty one, I went through a very
- 8:37Speaker 2: traumatic relationship. So I was going through a lot at
- 8:41Speaker 2: the time, and I needed something to help me vent
- 8:46Speaker 2: to get it out because a lot of the times
- 8:48Speaker 2: when we hold a lot of different things in, you know,
- 8:53Speaker 2: I was going through things while I start like shutting down,
- 8:58Speaker 2: so you know, interacting with family. You know, I really
- 9:02Speaker 2: don't have very many friends. So it was just time
- 9:07Speaker 2: at the time, I think right around cobD it was
- 9:09Speaker 2: a lot going on at that time, so it was
- 9:12Speaker 2: it was just time for me to just start putting
- 9:14Speaker 2: it on paper.
- 9:16Speaker 4: Yeah, I agree with you on that. I think once
- 9:18Speaker 4: you're able to actually put it out of your system,
- 9:22Speaker 4: put it on paper, whether you write it in a
- 9:24Speaker 4: journal or anything of that nature, getting that stuff off
- 9:27Speaker 4: of you is a healing in itself. Now, it's very
- 9:31Speaker 4: difficult to do, and I commend you for taking that
- 9:35Speaker 4: step to do that. People don't seem to understand that
- 9:39Speaker 4: when you walk around carrying all of those burdens, it
- 9:43Speaker 4: tends to get heavy and you got to release it.
- 9:47Speaker 4: And not everybody's willing to listen to what you got
- 9:50Speaker 4: going on. And that's that's one of the things that
- 9:53Speaker 4: I think we mostly internalize things, but we don't understand
- 9:57Speaker 4: the weight that we carry to we start to release it.
- 10:01Speaker 4: And when you start to release it, you feel lighter
- 10:05Speaker 4: in a sense. Did you feel lighter after you did that?
- 10:09Speaker 2: When I got done writing my book, when I say
- 10:14Speaker 2: God was he was working through me. So going through
- 10:18Speaker 2: the floor, all I knew was I was writing one
- 10:21Speaker 2: word from the next word, a sentence from a paragraph,
- 10:24Speaker 2: and before I knew, I had a whole book. So
- 10:26Speaker 2: I was just like duty. So yeah, I felt await lift. Definitely.
- 10:37Speaker 4: Yeah, I can say that for myself when I wrote
- 10:41Speaker 4: Overcoming Childhood Trauma, My Journey to Healing. When I wrote
- 10:44Speaker 4: that one, it was a release and I didn't realize
- 10:48Speaker 4: how much I had been holding in trying to keep
- 10:52Speaker 4: everyone else, you know, happy, and trying to keep the
- 10:57Speaker 4: peace and trying to keep the the arguments down and
- 11:01Speaker 4: all of that. I was holding myself back from actually
- 11:05Speaker 4: being free. And I wrote a poet I forgive Me,
- 11:11Speaker 4: you know, and doing that it was like, Okay, this
- 11:15Speaker 4: was a moment for me to actually do. But I
- 11:18Speaker 4: was hesitant. I will tell you the truth. I was
- 11:21Speaker 4: hesitant on completing that book. But I had an accountability partner,
- 11:25Speaker 4: which is my oldest son. Anytime I had some free time,
- 11:29Speaker 4: so to speak, he'd be like, Okay, what you're doing?
- 11:32Speaker 4: You not writing what a laptop, what a pen, what
- 11:35Speaker 4: a paper? You got a deadline? And I'm like, son,
- 11:38Speaker 4: you don't understand the last stuff that I wrote. It
- 11:41Speaker 4: took me to a place I wasn't ready to be in.
- 11:45Speaker 4: But God was also working in that space for me
- 11:49Speaker 4: to actually complete it. And when you are completing that
- 11:54Speaker 4: journey of writing that story, yours was called discernment. You
- 11:59Speaker 4: had a lot of discernment in there because you were
- 12:03Speaker 4: dealing with the death of your sister, you were dealing
- 12:05Speaker 4: with the grieving of leaving a traumatic relationship. So all
- 12:10Speaker 4: of those things played a major part in releasing And
- 12:16Speaker 4: did you feel better about letting all of that go?
- 12:21Speaker 4: And did you allow other people to read your final
- 12:25Speaker 4: draft or your manuscript before you actually published it or
- 12:28Speaker 4: did you just say, God, I'm trusting you and I'm
- 12:31Speaker 4: completing this without you know, anybody else's okay?
- 12:38Speaker 2: When I got finished writing the book, I was pretty
- 12:40Speaker 2: much because I was new to like self published. I
- 12:44Speaker 2: didn't know anything, So I was following around. I was
- 12:48Speaker 2: asking a bunch of questions, not knowing really what questions
- 12:52Speaker 2: to really ask. I started to go through this publishing
- 12:56Speaker 2: company with this guy, and you know, long story short,
- 13:02Speaker 2: like that didn't work out, so I had to go
- 13:05Speaker 2: outside of him and then get the working and connecting
- 13:09Speaker 2: with different other people. And when I take like, even
- 13:12Speaker 2: though through all the delays I have to go through,
- 13:14Speaker 2: like the suthing is my bad. Because I went through,
- 13:21Speaker 2: I was like in one place for the next I
- 13:23Speaker 2: was getting frustrated. I was just like, Okay, I'm ready
- 13:25Speaker 2: to give up. But God was like, no, we're gonna
- 13:28Speaker 2: keep it going. You're gonna you're gonna get this book
- 13:30Speaker 2: out there because this is what you're supposed to be doing.
- 13:33Speaker 2: So I knew then right, it was a greater purpose
- 13:37Speaker 2: for that book. You know, a lot of the things
- 13:40Speaker 2: that I was sharing that book is just some of
- 13:42Speaker 2: the stuff that I went through traumatically, you know, just
- 13:45Speaker 2: through my childhood, traumas, relationships, you know, think around just
- 13:51Speaker 2: family wise. So it was a lot. But I can
- 13:54Speaker 2: definitely say just through me publishing it, I've learned a
- 13:58Speaker 2: lot and now I got four books. So you know,
- 14:03Speaker 2: it's one of the things like you know when God,
- 14:05Speaker 2: when you know God is telling you to do something,
- 14:07Speaker 2: he's telling you to move, then move. Yeah, whether door
- 14:11Speaker 2: closes and one opens is God's favor. You can't you
- 14:15Speaker 2: can't ask no questions?
- 14:17Speaker 4: Yeah, right, I think for me it's always God will
- 14:22Speaker 4: definitely show you when you pray and you ask God
- 14:26Speaker 4: for to the start discernment, also asking him are you
- 14:30Speaker 4: doing the right thing? Even though you're going down one
- 14:33Speaker 4: path and then you got to stop because there's a detour,
- 14:36Speaker 4: there's a roadblock, there's something, and you're like, God, am
- 14:39Speaker 4: I really supposed to be doing this? Because it seems
- 14:42Speaker 4: like every time I get close, something is coming along.
- 14:46Speaker 4: And He's like, just stay focused, just stay focused, and
- 14:50Speaker 4: I promise you the end is going to be better
- 14:52Speaker 4: than what you're going through. You just gotta stay focused.
- 14:56Speaker 4: And you like, okay, God, this person over here didn't
- 15:00Speaker 4: give me the right information, but you told me to
- 15:02Speaker 4: go ask them. God say, I ain't tell you to
- 15:05Speaker 4: go and ask them nothing. You decided to go over
- 15:07Speaker 4: there and ask them something and they didn't give you
- 15:09Speaker 4: to answer. I told you to trust me, and if
- 15:12Speaker 4: you trusted me, stay on the path, stay focused and
- 15:16Speaker 4: listen to what I'm telling you. Because God all revertions,
- 15:21Speaker 4: He all tells us what we need to be doing,
- 15:23Speaker 4: what we need to be doing. However, it's that free
- 15:25Speaker 4: will that we make those own decisions for ourselves, and
- 15:29Speaker 4: we're like, hold up, God, I'm gonna do it this way,
- 15:33Speaker 4: and not be like, Okay, I'm gonna let you go
- 15:36Speaker 4: on over there because you think you know what you're doing.
- 15:38Speaker 4: I'm gonna let you go over there, and you're gonna
- 15:40Speaker 4: bump your hand. You're gonna come right back over here
- 15:42Speaker 4: to do what I told you to do the first time.
- 15:45Speaker 4: I know I've been guilty of doing that, Like, God,
- 15:47Speaker 4: I'm gonna try this way because that seemed like that's
- 15:50Speaker 4: the long path around, but I'm gonna go this way,
- 15:53Speaker 4: and then i gotta turn around to come back and
- 15:55Speaker 4: be like, yep, I told you. I told you not
- 15:58Speaker 4: to go down the street, but yet you want to
- 16:00Speaker 4: be hard headed and gone over there. Now, when you
- 16:03Speaker 4: were writing Discernment, how many detours did you have in
- 16:09Speaker 4: that in that moment of trying to get that done,
- 16:12Speaker 4: because you said you felt like giving up and not
- 16:15Speaker 4: wanting to do it. What was one of those hardest
- 16:18Speaker 4: moments that you were like, I just don't want to
- 16:21Speaker 4: do this.
- 16:24Speaker 2: It was more so the frustration with trying to connect
- 16:30Speaker 2: with the right people. Okay, that's one of my biggest
- 16:34Speaker 2: things because I feel like as long as we have
- 16:36Speaker 2: faith and we believe, even if we can't see it,
- 16:40Speaker 2: you know, as long as we got faith, we know
- 16:44Speaker 2: God is gone. He gonna do the rest. But yeah,
- 16:48Speaker 2: the frustration, it was a lot of people that I
- 16:50Speaker 2: felt like was giving me the run around. Like I said,
- 16:54Speaker 2: with just the publishing guy that I was going through.
- 16:57Speaker 2: I had paid this man in full and I had to.
- 17:01Speaker 2: So it was a learning experience because a lot of
- 17:04Speaker 2: the stuff that I learned throughout the way, I found
- 17:09Speaker 2: out you know, I have to do my own research.
- 17:11Speaker 2: So it was like, you know, now that I'm I'm
- 17:14Speaker 2: able to uh connect with the right people. And then
- 17:17Speaker 2: when I eventually did meet the right people, it was like, Okay,
- 17:20Speaker 2: this is God what God was showing me, like you know,
- 17:22Speaker 2: just keep going, keep going, like don't stop. But so.
- 17:28Speaker 6: It was a lot.
- 17:29Speaker 2: It was a very tough.
- 17:34Speaker 4: Deserve.
- 17:35Speaker 7: It took me there, but through God's It's like I said,
- 17:42Speaker 7: I got four books that I have published, and now
- 17:44Speaker 7: I'm getting ready to work on like.
- 17:47Speaker 2: Doing my own LLC where I'm going to be helping others.
- 17:50Speaker 2: So it's a blessing.
- 17:53Speaker 4: Yay. See that That's what I like to hear because
- 17:57Speaker 4: being able to take what you've learned and show other
- 18:01Speaker 4: people how to do it. I'm a true believer in
- 18:05Speaker 4: not keeping what you've learned to yourself, because what good
- 18:09Speaker 4: does it do to keep it all to yourself when
- 18:11Speaker 4: you can clearly share it with someone else because someone
- 18:14Speaker 4: else is going through a hard time and don't know
- 18:17Speaker 4: how they can get it out, how they can make
- 18:19Speaker 4: it to the next level. I think sometimes we get
- 18:22Speaker 4: so caught up and get so we feel embarrassed by
- 18:26Speaker 4: what we've gone through in life, but not understanding that
- 18:29Speaker 4: that is the testimony that we need to share with
- 18:32Speaker 4: someone else. Because yes, you may have been down in
- 18:34Speaker 4: the valley, going through some dark moments, dark times and everything,
- 18:39Speaker 4: and God said, just keep moving, keep walking. The darkness
- 18:43Speaker 4: may be here, but it's only temporary. I'm gonna bring
- 18:47Speaker 4: you out to the other side. And what I need
- 18:49Speaker 4: you to do is share that with someone else. And
- 18:52Speaker 4: all you need is one person to be changed by
- 18:55Speaker 4: what it is that you're sharing with them, because that
- 18:58Speaker 4: one person is going to take it to maybe too people.
- 19:00Speaker 4: Those two people gonna take it to five people, and
- 19:03Speaker 4: so on and so forth. But never be I always
- 19:07Speaker 4: tell people, never be ashamed of what you've gone through
- 19:09Speaker 4: because it was gone. You went through it for the
- 19:12Speaker 4: simple fact of being able to share what God has
- 19:15Speaker 4: done for you. Because there have been moments in life
- 19:20Speaker 4: where there was nobody but God who brought you out.
- 19:23Speaker 4: And when you know that it was nobody but God,
- 19:27Speaker 4: that's all you got right there. That's that's it in itself.
- 19:31Speaker 4: God brought me out of this, and God put me
- 19:34Speaker 4: in this position. So when he closed this door, I
- 19:37Speaker 4: had to let go of the handle because I couldn't
- 19:39Speaker 4: open that door no more. I had to walk through
- 19:41Speaker 4: the next one that he had in front of me.
- 19:43Speaker 4: I let go of this handle. He opened two more
- 19:46Speaker 4: doors for me, and we get so stuck on trying
- 19:49Speaker 4: to hold long to what God is saying, Okay, let
- 19:53Speaker 4: it go. You causing yourself more harm, more pain than
- 19:57Speaker 4: hold than letting go. So let go move on and
- 20:00Speaker 4: let God do what he said he was gonna do,
- 20:02Speaker 4: because if He brought you to it, he's definitely gonna
- 20:05Speaker 4: bring you through it. He's never put in positions to
- 20:08Speaker 4: where he's not going. Yes, he's never gonna put us
- 20:11Speaker 4: in positions that he's not going to provide the provisions
- 20:14Speaker 4: that we need to get through. It's just that sometimes
- 20:17Speaker 4: we the hard headed ones that don't want to listen
- 20:19Speaker 4: to what God is saying. Do Now, you got some
- 20:22Speaker 4: children's books out there? Yes, what led you to writing
- 20:27Speaker 4: children's books? Uh?
- 20:30Speaker 2: The children's books I wanted to give my kids outside
- 20:35Speaker 2: of just my story. I wanted to give them where
- 20:39Speaker 2: they can feel like, you know, they they also had
- 20:42Speaker 2: a voice because they had some things. So you know,
- 20:49Speaker 2: it was more so like my greatest purpose is to
- 20:52Speaker 2: give my kids something that I didn't have so well
- 20:56Speaker 2: for me and change that I didn't get, you know,
- 21:00Speaker 2: like I didn't have my mother and father. I like
- 21:02Speaker 2: my grandmother raised me. You know, I come from a
- 21:07Speaker 2: very disoriented family. Like we're very dysfunctional. So a lot
- 21:11Speaker 2: of the things that I wanted to give my kids
- 21:13Speaker 2: was to show them that y'all are loved. And not
- 21:17Speaker 2: only that, but I want y'all to have something to
- 21:19Speaker 2: where when y'all get older, y'all won't feel like y'all
- 21:21Speaker 2: just left out here to just figure it out, you know,
- 21:23Speaker 2: because I didn't give you. I've been in group homes,
- 21:26Speaker 2: I've been in foster homes. My story. When I say
- 21:30Speaker 2: people will look at me, it look like you don't
- 21:32Speaker 2: even look like what you've been through, and I don't.
- 21:35Speaker 2: But that's why you can't judge a book by its covered.
- 21:39Speaker 2: It's like, oh, you know, like how people be looking
- 21:41Speaker 2: at be just you know, sizing you up and stuff
- 21:44Speaker 2: like that. But it's like, I'm blessed because God gave
- 21:48Speaker 2: me favor, a favor, you know. It's like, in order
- 21:53Speaker 2: for me to see and believe that God got my
- 21:57Speaker 2: back and whatever He has in store for me, I
- 22:00Speaker 2: gotta have faith to know that is gonna happen. So
- 22:05Speaker 2: that's where I'm at.
- 22:07Speaker 4: And that's definitely God's favor right there, Like you don't
- 22:11Speaker 4: look like what you've been through, and that is definitely
- 22:14Speaker 4: God's grace, God's favor, God's protection and coverage for you
- 22:19Speaker 4: because going through being in group homes, foster care, not
- 22:24Speaker 4: being raised by your biological family or parents or anything
- 22:29Speaker 4: like that. This is one thing that I always say,
- 22:32Speaker 4: it is always by God's design that you meet the
- 22:35Speaker 4: people that you're supposed to meet along the way. I
- 22:38Speaker 4: was raised by neither one of my parents. I didn't
- 22:40Speaker 4: have a good relationship with my mom or my dad.
- 22:43Speaker 4: But with that being said, my mom passed away in
- 22:48Speaker 4: June of last year. However, we were able to find
- 22:53Speaker 4: closure in peace in the final you know, six months
- 22:57Speaker 4: that she was still here, and that let me know
- 23:02Speaker 4: that God answered prayers. And one thing the prayer that
- 23:05Speaker 4: I had was to not let my mom die alone,
- 23:09Speaker 4: because I wanted to be there with her. Now. My
- 23:12Speaker 4: mom had been gone. She's been in and out of
- 23:14Speaker 4: my life the majority of my life, and I grieved
- 23:19Speaker 4: her as a child growing up, but I always knew
- 23:22Speaker 4: that there would be an opportunity for us to reconnect,
- 23:25Speaker 4: whether it's months here or there or whatever. But when
- 23:28Speaker 4: it came time to her getting older, my prayer was always, Godden,
- 23:33Speaker 4: don't let my mom die in a space where she's
- 23:35Speaker 4: not surrounded by loved ones or myself. Now, I will
- 23:40Speaker 4: be completely honest, I was not trying to be there.
- 23:44Speaker 4: I was tired because I've been doing it since I
- 23:46Speaker 4: was fourteen years old, and I was like, my siblings
- 23:50Speaker 4: are going to have to take the lead on this. God,
- 23:52Speaker 4: I don't want to do it. I just don't want
- 23:54Speaker 4: to do it because I've given so much of myself.
- 23:58Speaker 4: But at the end of the day, no matter how
- 24:00Speaker 4: hard I was like fighting against that, I was there
- 24:04Speaker 4: with my mom. Literally I would go to work, I
- 24:07Speaker 4: would get off work, go see her at the facility,
- 24:10Speaker 4: and then go pick my son up and then redo
- 24:13Speaker 4: all of that. I think I missed maybe three days
- 24:17Speaker 4: because my mom told me, don't bring your butt up here,
- 24:20Speaker 4: stay home and rest, and I was like, Okay, I'm
- 24:22Speaker 4: a rest today, but I'll be there tomorrow. And we
- 24:26Speaker 4: were able to connect in a way that my mom
- 24:31Speaker 4: didn't have love and affection that she needed growing up,
- 24:35Speaker 4: and so she didn't know how to receive love at
- 24:38Speaker 4: all that didn't come with pain, and so it was
- 24:42Speaker 4: a hard thing for her to understand that she didn't
- 24:45Speaker 4: have to go through life being considered not worthy or
- 24:51Speaker 4: anything that she deserved love that didn't come at a cost.
- 24:55Speaker 4: And I think she was able to receive that in
- 24:59Speaker 4: a sense of I didn't care that you can't get
- 25:05Speaker 4: out of this band no more so the love that
- 25:07Speaker 4: I've been trying to give you my whole life, you
- 25:09Speaker 4: can no longer run from it. And it was good
- 25:12Speaker 4: to see. But it was one thing that my mom
- 25:14Speaker 4: said that has resonated with me that I think a
- 25:18Speaker 4: lot of us carry a lot of and that is
- 25:21Speaker 4: they were changing the bandages on her feet, and it
- 25:25Speaker 4: was excruciating pain for her, and I know that it was.
- 25:29Speaker 4: And I was holding her hand and I said, Mom,
- 25:33Speaker 4: you can scream, you can let it out, you can yell,
- 25:36Speaker 4: you can cuss, and do whatever you need to because
- 25:38Speaker 4: I know this moment is painful for you. And the
- 25:41Speaker 4: thing that my mother said in that moment when I
- 25:44Speaker 4: was telling her that was that she didn't know how
- 25:46Speaker 4: to release the pain because she'd been holding it in
- 25:49Speaker 4: for so long. And I think that's one of the
- 25:52Speaker 4: things that we go through life and also as women,
- 25:57Speaker 4: not knowing how to release when we're going through something
- 26:01Speaker 4: because we gotta be strong for everyone else, especially if
- 26:05Speaker 4: we got kids. I'm the oldest of my siblings, so
- 26:08Speaker 4: most of the time, nobody wants to see me down
- 26:13Speaker 4: and out or anything to where they don't know how
- 26:17Speaker 4: to handle that. And prime example, I had a stroke
- 26:20Speaker 4: in two thousand and nine and I'm laying in the
- 26:23Speaker 4: hospital bed and my brother walks in and he was like,
- 26:26Speaker 4: I'm not used to seeing you like this. You gotta
- 26:28Speaker 4: get better, and I'm like, you're absolutely right, I gotta
- 26:32Speaker 4: get better. I don't want to see myself like this,
- 26:35Speaker 4: but this is all I can do right now, you know.
- 26:39Speaker 4: But he wasn't used to seeing me in a weak state.
- 26:42Speaker 4: I wasn't used to being in a weak state. But
- 26:46Speaker 4: I couldn't do anything else, you know. There was nothing
- 26:49Speaker 4: that I could do. And I tell people all the
- 26:52Speaker 4: time that my stroke was a gift and a curse
- 26:54Speaker 4: for me because it made me sit down. Number one,
- 26:58Speaker 4: It also let me know that God was gonna provide
- 27:02Speaker 4: everything that I needed, because when I look back now
- 27:05Speaker 4: over what I've gone through, no one knew what God
- 27:11Speaker 4: was about to do for me. And I didn't even
- 27:13Speaker 4: know what God was about to do for me. Where
- 27:16Speaker 4: I am right now, even in this moment, in this
- 27:19Speaker 4: space was God's plan, you know, And I oftentimes run
- 27:24Speaker 4: from it. I still run, but God is like, I'm
- 27:28Speaker 4: gonna catch you. Your legs ain't that long, so you're
- 27:30Speaker 4: not gonna be running too far. You ain't before eight
- 27:33Speaker 4: So come on. You got too far, but you can
- 27:37Speaker 4: try to run. But when God has you covered, God
- 27:43Speaker 4: is going to connect you to the people that you
- 27:45Speaker 4: need to actually bring forth everything that He has instilled
- 27:51Speaker 4: in you. So you didn't go through anything by chance.
- 27:54Speaker 4: It was by God's design. It is for the purpose
- 27:58Speaker 4: of who you've been created to do. Miss Natalie has
- 28:02Speaker 4: a question for you, and that is what's the best
- 28:04Speaker 4: thing about being an.
- 28:06Speaker 2: Author telling my story having a voice that you know,
- 28:12Speaker 2: when I was in my younger years, I didn't feel
- 28:14Speaker 2: like I had a voice. I was one of them
- 28:19Speaker 2: kids that kind of stood off and kind of just observed,
- 28:23Speaker 2: but was just that funny and weird all the time.
- 28:26Speaker 2: But now, like some people probably still call me or
- 28:31Speaker 2: think that I wear but it's like I'm one of
- 28:34Speaker 2: a kind, you know. Yeah, I'm not like I don't
- 28:38Speaker 2: live my life how the world is revolved and things
- 28:41Speaker 2: like that. I'm a very high spiritual person. So I
- 28:45Speaker 2: believe that if God's put something on my heart for
- 28:49Speaker 2: me to do, or rather if I cross paths with
- 28:51Speaker 2: different people rather if it's to talk or share something.
- 28:55Speaker 2: I can meet somebody out, you know, at the grocery
- 28:57Speaker 2: store and I knowing through one of the people like
- 29:01Speaker 2: give me a hug, you know. So it's like I
- 29:04Speaker 2: don't know, I'm just here. I'm blessed and to be here,
- 29:09Speaker 2: and it's just a lot. It's a lot to be.
- 29:14Speaker 4: Listen, you are just like I am. Like I will
- 29:17Speaker 4: meet people in the grocer store, and it drives my
- 29:19Speaker 4: kids crazy for the simple fact I'm usually just walking
- 29:24Speaker 4: in the grocery store and passing and I might speak
- 29:27Speaker 4: to somebody, but whatever they may be going through, we
- 29:31Speaker 4: end up having a whole hour long conversation. And my
- 29:34Speaker 4: kids like, do you not meet a stranger? And I'm like,
- 29:37Speaker 4: it wasn't me that started the conversation. You saw. All
- 29:41Speaker 4: I said was high. That was it, and they started
- 29:45Speaker 4: talking and I just started listening. And then we went
- 29:48Speaker 4: from there. And for a while I used to be like, Okay, God,
- 29:54Speaker 4: why they telling me the story? Why they talking to me?
- 29:58Speaker 4: I don't know anything about it, what they're talking about.
- 30:01Speaker 4: But you know, what God has instilled in me is
- 30:05Speaker 4: a listening ear to be able to have empathy and
- 30:09Speaker 4: compassion for what someone else is going through. And half
- 30:13Speaker 4: the time I don't know. I can only speak from
- 30:16Speaker 4: the experience that God has given me and what I've
- 30:19Speaker 4: lived through. And I feel like what we're talking about
- 30:23Speaker 4: right now is definitely God's favor because he brought us
- 30:28Speaker 4: to this space, to this moment, because it's a greater
- 30:33Speaker 4: purpose behind what this is. Because this is going to
- 30:37Speaker 4: be shared to multiple platforms, in multiple places, and something
- 30:41Speaker 4: that we are saying tonight is going to touch somebody
- 30:44Speaker 4: in a way that we didn't even know they were
- 30:47Speaker 4: gonna need. But whatever we are speaking about is for
- 30:52Speaker 4: someone else, it's not for us. But I'm taking what
- 30:56Speaker 4: I need from this conversation, and I hope you take
- 30:58Speaker 4: what you need from this conversation and move on, because,
- 31:03Speaker 4: like I said at the beginning of this podcast, I
- 31:07Speaker 4: could have canceled this because we still don't have internet
- 31:10Speaker 4: service since the hurricane here, and it would have been
- 31:14Speaker 4: easy to say, you know what, let me just cancel.
- 31:17Speaker 4: I don't want to have to deal with it because
- 31:19Speaker 4: I can't. I can't get on and it's gone out
- 31:24Speaker 4: a few times. But I'm not gonna let the devil
- 31:26Speaker 4: win because he ain't got nothing to do with this,
- 31:28Speaker 4: and I ain't even finna acknowledge him because he ain't
- 31:30Speaker 4: got no place in this space. So I'm here because
- 31:35Speaker 4: God said, go ahead and do what you're supposed to do,
- 31:38Speaker 4: because there's a reason that you needed to be on
- 31:42Speaker 4: here tonight, and we're gonna make it happen. And we're
- 31:46Speaker 4: making it happen because God, I said. So I had
- 31:49Speaker 4: to change rooms. So the light is brighter in the
- 31:52Speaker 4: other room. It's a little dim, but it don't matter.
- 31:55Speaker 4: You can hear my voice, and that's all that needs
- 31:57Speaker 4: to be done. You can hear my voice, see my
- 32:00Speaker 4: face great and it ain't that special. But anyway, as
- 32:03Speaker 4: long as you can hear my voice, we're good. Also,
- 32:08Speaker 4: my throat hurts tonight. I had listen, this is a
- 32:11Speaker 4: crazy story. I'm forty five years old. I just had
- 32:15Speaker 4: heartburn for the first time two o'clock this morning, and
- 32:20Speaker 4: I think that's why my throat hurts. But at the
- 32:23Speaker 4: end of the day, I've never had heartburn. I got
- 32:26Speaker 4: three kids, and you know, they tell you you're gonna
- 32:27Speaker 4: have heartburn, indigestion out and stuff, and if you don't,
- 32:31Speaker 4: your kid's gonna be bowt here all three of them
- 32:33Speaker 4: came out with a head full of hair, never had heartburn,
- 32:36Speaker 4: never had indigestion, never had any of that. So last
- 32:39Speaker 4: night when it happened at two o'clock in the morning
- 32:42Speaker 4: and it woke me up, I'm like, oh lord, I
- 32:44Speaker 4: don't know what this is. I'm up eating a dog
- 32:47Speaker 4: on ice cream cone at o'clock in the morning just
- 32:52Speaker 4: to get this to calm down. So anybody who deals
- 32:55Speaker 4: with this, Lord, bless you, because I don't ever want
- 32:59Speaker 4: to experience that again because it's just not it's not fair,
- 33:03Speaker 4: it's not nice, it's not nice at all. What's the
- 33:08Speaker 4: next book that you're currently working on.
- 33:12Speaker 2: Right now, I'm just really focused on my LC launched
- 33:18Speaker 2: that hopefully by next year to be in that January.
- 33:22Speaker 2: So outside of that, I'm really just looking to network
- 33:28Speaker 2: with different authors. I even started supporting different authors on
- 33:33Speaker 2: and off on Facebook where I'm going luckily purchasing two
- 33:38Speaker 2: authors books, just working around with some of the nominees
- 33:43Speaker 2: on and off with Dad. You know, that's that's that's
- 33:47Speaker 2: a huge blessing.
- 33:48Speaker 4: So the show coming up, I am.
- 33:55Speaker 2: When I say like that that that sticks barn By
- 33:59Speaker 2: myself like that's an adorsem for me. Okay be thea
- 34:04Speaker 2: now some of the nominees and Gina and ms Carolyn
- 34:07Speaker 2: that that that was God speaking to me saying, Okay,
- 34:10Speaker 2: this this is favorite right here, this this is what
- 34:12Speaker 2: I had just like, oh my God, this is what
- 34:16Speaker 2: I've been praying for. I'm like, God, send me my people,
- 34:19Speaker 2: send me the right people, send me in front of
- 34:20Speaker 2: the right people, Like I'm tired of people that you know,
- 34:24Speaker 2: how people tell their story, but they can't really relate
- 34:27Speaker 2: to your story and they kind of look at you
- 34:28Speaker 2: like and try to be judgmental. You know what, Dad
- 34:32Speaker 2: can relate to what I what I've been through because
- 34:35Speaker 2: we all have our story right with somebody and be
- 34:39Speaker 2: either a vessel in some type of way to either
- 34:41Speaker 2: help somebody or say something or or put something on
- 34:45Speaker 2: somebody's mind to help them, help them, you know, get
- 34:48Speaker 2: through whatever they do. Then that's what I want to do.
- 34:51Speaker 2: So this DAG the Dag's nominees and being able to
- 34:57Speaker 2: be in the position that I'm in right now, it's
- 35:00Speaker 2: a huge blessing.
- 35:02Speaker 4: And you started this pretty much during COVID. Do you
- 35:06Speaker 4: think had COVID not happened, would you be in the
- 35:10Speaker 4: space where you are right now? Would you think that
- 35:13Speaker 4: you would have that push? Because I feel like COVID
- 35:17Speaker 4: pushed a lot of people out of their comfort zone,
- 35:20Speaker 4: you know what.
- 35:21Speaker 2: It really did, because a lot of people have found
- 35:24Speaker 2: out they talent and some of them purpose. But honestly,
- 35:29Speaker 2: I'll say this, I think during that time, because I
- 35:32Speaker 2: had a lot of more times on a time on
- 35:34Speaker 2: my hands, huh, you know, it was easier for me
- 35:38Speaker 2: to push through it. It took me about for a
- 35:40Speaker 2: month to write the book. Even if COVID didn't happen,
- 35:45Speaker 2: I think that I still would have wrote it, but
- 35:49Speaker 2: I probably would have got sidetracked sometimes I would because
- 35:54Speaker 2: you know how you start on something and then you go,
- 35:57Speaker 2: you man, I ain't even finished that, but like that right, But.
- 36:01Speaker 4: Yeah, I think COVID definitely pushed us all out of
- 36:07Speaker 4: our comfort zones in a way that I wrote in
- 36:11Speaker 4: twenty twenty. I also did a virtual conference for the
- 36:15Speaker 4: first time in twenty twenty, and that was God's right there,
- 36:18Speaker 4: because when the lady asked me about speaking, I in
- 36:25Speaker 4: my mind I said no, but before I could realize,
- 36:29Speaker 4: I had already responded yes. And I was like, God,
- 36:32Speaker 4: who told you to tell this lady that I'm gonna
- 36:35Speaker 4: I don't speak in front of people. That's not what
- 36:38Speaker 4: I do. But that was all God's grace and direction,
- 36:42Speaker 4: and I'm like, okay, so I'm supposed to speak now,
- 36:45Speaker 4: mind you.
- 36:45Speaker 2: It was in.
- 36:48Speaker 4: The end of July early August when she asked me
- 36:52Speaker 4: I had to prepare for October, and I was like,
- 36:57Speaker 4: Lord Jesus, I don't know. I don't told this lady yes,
- 37:01Speaker 4: and I really want to say no, but it's here
- 37:04Speaker 4: in black and white. Am I really up to doing
- 37:07Speaker 4: what you asked me to do? But my prayer was, God,
- 37:11Speaker 4: connect me to the people that are connected to the
- 37:13Speaker 4: destiny and what you have for me, and help me
- 37:16Speaker 4: to step outside of my comfort zone. That was my
- 37:18Speaker 4: prayer going into twenty twenty. Now he has connected me
- 37:23Speaker 4: to the people that are connected to my destiny. He
- 37:26Speaker 4: has removed people that I never thought would be gone,
- 37:29Speaker 4: because you know, when you asking God for something, he
- 37:32Speaker 4: gonna deliver. Now, you gotta be okay. And I had
- 37:36Speaker 4: to also put that in there. Help me to be
- 37:38Speaker 4: okay with who you release me from because they're not
- 37:43Speaker 4: connected to the destiny that you have. That was a
- 37:47Speaker 4: tough one for me because it's like, I've been knowing
- 37:50Speaker 4: this person for years and now I gotta let him go.
- 37:53Speaker 4: Why do I need to let him go? Okay, don't
- 37:56Speaker 4: let him go. If you don't let him go, God
- 37:58Speaker 4: gonna show you. He gonna make you hurt in a
- 38:01Speaker 4: way that you didn't need to hurt in order for
- 38:03Speaker 4: you to see why he was making you let that
- 38:06Speaker 4: person go. Are those people go? Discernment is definitely a
- 38:11Speaker 4: title for all books when you want to release, and
- 38:16Speaker 4: so you released a lot during that that part and
- 38:21Speaker 4: during that journey where you are right now, do you
- 38:26Speaker 4: feel better in releasing all of that or do you
- 38:30Speaker 4: feel like there's more to discernment? Will they be a
- 38:34Speaker 4: discernment two or three or will you make it a series?
- 38:40Speaker 2: So my self Care book is more like The Guy, So,
- 38:44Speaker 2: okay I have I'm gonna just saw you because I
- 38:48Speaker 2: know I got my batter back here. The cover is
- 38:54Speaker 2: kind of like me battling between myself and trying to
- 38:58Speaker 2: find my way. Yeah, reulations, and then I came out
- 39:02Speaker 2: with this book last year, which is The Guy to Discernment.
- 39:06Speaker 2: So this is basically breaks down in my book. So
- 39:12Speaker 2: it's like kind of like what I helped me throughout
- 39:15Speaker 2: the like all my darkest moments, So like everything that
- 39:18Speaker 2: helped me ground myself makes me emotionally physically, because you know,
- 39:24Speaker 2: I was battling a lot just with my past relationship,
- 39:28Speaker 2: Like I was shot, so you know, going through that
- 39:32Speaker 2: relationship at the time, it was it was a lot.
- 39:37Speaker 2: It was a lot to so many different things. It
- 39:41Speaker 2: was hard for me to get around. At the time.
- 39:43Speaker 2: I was working two jobs. I had to let one
- 39:46Speaker 2: job go because I couldn't even really get around much.
- 39:49Speaker 2: You know. It was a lot, So a lot was
- 39:51Speaker 2: weighing on me at the time, and I couldn't understand,
- 39:53Speaker 2: like God, why why me? Like why why would this
- 39:56Speaker 2: happen to me? Like I'm a good person, And like
- 39:59Speaker 2: you just said, a lot of times when God tell
- 40:01Speaker 2: us to let go of things and we don't listen,
- 40:05Speaker 2: He's gonna show you, sit you down, like well you
- 40:10Speaker 2: know when you don't. Now now you ain't got no
- 40:14Speaker 2: toys but to sit you but down. So you know,
- 40:18Speaker 2: I'm just thankful and like I said, I'm blessed to
- 40:22Speaker 2: be here because I cannot be here, you know. So
- 40:24Speaker 2: even with my kids, my kids, that's that's that's my world,
- 40:29Speaker 2: that's that's that's all I like. If it's not about
- 40:33Speaker 2: my kids and whatever my purpose is that God is
- 40:36Speaker 2: sending me down to tell me to do, I don't
- 40:38Speaker 2: want no part of.
- 40:38Speaker 4: Them, right, I agree with you. My kids and now
- 40:44Speaker 4: I got two grandkids. Are what I do? My kids
- 40:47Speaker 4: say I've gotten sought. When it comes to the grandkids,
- 40:50Speaker 4: I don't treat them the same. I let them get
- 40:52Speaker 4: away with a lot more and I'm like, it's not
- 40:56Speaker 4: really that I'm letting them get away with a lot
- 40:59Speaker 4: more than you guys as did. It's just this is
- 41:02Speaker 4: the miniature version of you guys. So I'm getting to
- 41:05Speaker 4: watch you guys grow up in a way that I
- 41:08Speaker 4: didn't get to see because I was working. I had
- 41:12Speaker 4: my daughter when I was seventeen years old, so I
- 41:15Speaker 4: was in school. I didn't get to see a lot
- 41:17Speaker 4: of the milestones. But I get to see these milestones
- 41:21Speaker 4: with my granddaughter and my grandson, So I get to
- 41:24Speaker 4: see what I didn't get to see, and I'm grateful
- 41:29Speaker 4: for that. Having a space and having a support system
- 41:34Speaker 4: outside of your children, do you have anything like that.
- 41:39Speaker 2: As far as support, Yeah, my biggest support system is
- 41:45Speaker 2: God himself. I'm gonna just think him because I mean
- 41:50Speaker 2: I have very selected few people that has like really
- 41:55Speaker 2: came through. Like I said, my family, you know, they
- 41:58Speaker 2: in and out. But it's taken a lot on me
- 42:03Speaker 2: because I have to remold my I have to remold myself.
- 42:06Speaker 2: I have to relearn things about myself. So over that time,
- 42:11Speaker 2: like even just through trying to heal, and I'm still healing,
- 42:13Speaker 2: you know, it's the healing process, but I think now
- 42:18Speaker 2: I'm just in a place where I just I just
- 42:20Speaker 2: want I just want to be at peace. That's that's it.
- 42:23Speaker 2: I won't. I want God to really show me fully
- 42:26Speaker 2: who I am potentially on who I need to be
- 42:29Speaker 2: for myself, and to also you know, be there for
- 42:32Speaker 2: my kids and also show.
- 42:33Speaker 4: Them the white Yeah, okay, have you ever thought about
- 42:38Speaker 4: doing like? This is something that I did when I
- 42:41Speaker 4: was going through a tough time ending of a marriage,
- 42:46Speaker 4: ending of a relationship me and my kids father. We
- 42:48Speaker 4: were together for thirteen and a half years, and when
- 42:51Speaker 4: we separated, first I did a self inventory of myself
- 42:57Speaker 4: of things that I felt good about myself with things
- 43:01Speaker 4: that I felt like I needed to change, things that
- 43:04Speaker 4: I felt like were good for me, and I didn't
- 43:07Speaker 4: need to change those. But that one thing that I
- 43:11Speaker 4: did in that moment I still now do every three
- 43:14Speaker 4: to six months for myself to see whether or not
- 43:18Speaker 4: I've grown, if I still need to work on this,
- 43:20Speaker 4: if I still need help in this area, and learning
- 43:24Speaker 4: how to allow people in because most of my life
- 43:28Speaker 4: I've been stuck in survival mode and that's all I've
- 43:32Speaker 4: known is being in survival. And I think with this
- 43:37Speaker 4: hurricane that happened like we were without in my my
- 43:41Speaker 4: neighborhood was what we were without power for ten days.
- 43:45Speaker 4: And that's a hard thing for most people when they're
- 43:49Speaker 4: used to having, you know, the luxury of electricity. But
- 43:55Speaker 4: I stayed prayed up, I stayed talking to God and
- 43:59Speaker 4: my my younger kids. When their dad had power, they
- 44:03Speaker 4: left me in the dark and they were like, my
- 44:07Speaker 4: daddy got power. Mom, we out, you know, we not
- 44:12Speaker 4: finna be here no more until the power comes back on.
- 44:16Speaker 4: But my youngest son told me, he talk about, Mam,
- 44:18Speaker 4: you built different, you know, you toughed it out. And
- 44:21Speaker 4: I was like, I enjoyed the peace and the solitude
- 44:25Speaker 4: because God was with me. He kept me covered and
- 44:29Speaker 4: so I didn't have a worry. I didn't have a concern. No,
- 44:33Speaker 4: the lights wasn't on, but yeah, I still had the
- 44:36Speaker 4: habit of trying to flip the switch going into the
- 44:39Speaker 4: bathroom even though I knew the power wasn't on. But
- 44:42Speaker 4: it was just the habit of doing that. But I
- 44:45Speaker 4: was always connected to the source, and so regardless of
- 44:48Speaker 4: me not having actual power, God kept me covered, He
- 44:52Speaker 4: kept me protected, he kept me you know, and everything.
- 44:55Speaker 4: I did not go without food I did not go
- 44:59Speaker 4: without water, I did not go without coverage. I did
- 45:02Speaker 4: not go without having clean clothes. I didn't go without anything.
- 45:08Speaker 4: And so I'm grateful that God provided. Now, there have
- 45:12Speaker 4: been many people, and there's still some people that are
- 45:15Speaker 4: complaining over the things, but they're not focused on the
- 45:18Speaker 4: fact that God kept you covered, He kept you, He
- 45:21Speaker 4: provided everything. Yes, it's a little inconvenient that we don't
- 45:24Speaker 4: have internet service. Yeah, you gotta pull out those DVDs
- 45:28Speaker 4: and watch those right now. You gotta go to places
- 45:31Speaker 4: that have well Wi Fi connection. Those are little inconveniences.
- 45:35Speaker 4: But you need to be thankful that God spared your life.
- 45:39Speaker 4: He spared you for a different purpose. Yes, And if
- 45:42Speaker 4: you can't focus on why God spared you, you're focused
- 45:46Speaker 4: on the wrong thing. Focus on why God kept you covered.
- 45:50Speaker 4: God kept you in a space because when I drive
- 45:53Speaker 4: through my neighborhood. Now, yes there's still trees down, there's
- 45:56Speaker 4: still power lines, but there's a couple of houses just
- 46:00Speaker 4: even on my street. And I'll say this and then
- 46:03Speaker 4: I'm gonna talk about something else. But there's a tree
- 46:06Speaker 4: that was struck by lightning, and right across it was
- 46:12Speaker 4: there's some trees that caught on fire now where we are.
- 46:16Speaker 4: Had that fire expanded, no one on my street would
- 46:22Speaker 4: be in an existence right now. And so I didn't
- 46:26Speaker 4: realize that until I was sitting in my car charging
- 46:30Speaker 4: my phone and I was looking at the tree that
- 46:33Speaker 4: had got struck by lightning, and then I looked directly
- 46:36Speaker 4: across and I saw the discoloration, and I told my kids,
- 46:40Speaker 4: I said, look, you guys have been complaining about not
- 46:44Speaker 4: having power, but look at the power that God saved
- 46:48Speaker 4: all of us on this street. So I need you
- 46:51Speaker 4: to stop being so one sided and one focused on
- 46:56Speaker 4: not having power, and look at how God's spared not
- 47:00Speaker 4: just us, but everybody on this street because all of
- 47:04Speaker 4: us are able to get out, move around. No one
- 47:07Speaker 4: was hurt. So focus on the bigger picture, not just
- 47:11Speaker 4: what you see. Is there anything that you see for
- 47:15Speaker 4: yourself in the next year with I know you're talking
- 47:19Speaker 4: about your LLC that's gonna happen probably before the end
- 47:24Speaker 4: of the year, even going into the next year. But
- 47:27Speaker 4: I see it happening before the end of the year
- 47:29Speaker 4: for you because that's your number one focus. But you
- 47:32Speaker 4: probably won't start doing anything with it until the first
- 47:36Speaker 4: of the year because you want to make sure that
- 47:39Speaker 4: you got everything in place so that you are already
- 47:42Speaker 4: ready for your first person that comes to you. But
- 47:45Speaker 4: I already see that by the end of the year,
- 47:47Speaker 4: that's gonna be your thing. Do you have a name
- 47:50Speaker 4: for it?
- 47:52Speaker 2: Yes? I do. But I'm not going to going to this.
- 48:00Speaker 2: Just say this God, let me tell you how God
- 48:03Speaker 2: is working. Like I kept sat guessing myself around this LLC.
- 48:10Speaker 4: But like it.
- 48:12Speaker 2: Was because you know, I went through so much just
- 48:15Speaker 2: with my first book and then like my even with
- 48:18Speaker 2: the children's book, like I had to wait things out
- 48:22Speaker 2: when I say, I was going through so many delays,
- 48:25Speaker 2: but even delays, like God still gave me favorite. So
- 48:29Speaker 2: this that's why I'm like, yeah, this LC, I gotta
- 48:32Speaker 2: get this going and going and popping. But God did already. People.
- 48:37Speaker 2: Uh yeah, I've been beating a lot of people that's
- 48:42Speaker 2: been asking me questions, asking me how to So when
- 48:46Speaker 2: I say I got people and they just they just waiting,
- 48:49Speaker 2: and then God just like, well, yep, and the bourse,
- 48:55Speaker 2: So what you're going to do. I'm though, I'm definitely goinged.
- 49:02Speaker 4: Well, listen, I am proud of you for doing that
- 49:06Speaker 4: because that is the next step. God will not put
- 49:09Speaker 4: you in a position that he's not gonna provide the
- 49:11Speaker 4: provisions and the people to help you be successful, because
- 49:16Speaker 4: that is just a given. Whenever you keep God included
- 49:19Speaker 4: and everything that you do, there is no reason for
- 49:22Speaker 4: you to fail unless you decide that you just want
- 49:24Speaker 4: to be heart headed and not listen to what God
- 49:26Speaker 4: is telling you to do. Now, sometimes we get a
- 49:29Speaker 4: little pig headed and be like, God, I already know
- 49:32Speaker 4: what I need to be doing, And the instant you
- 49:34Speaker 4: say you know what you need to be doing, God
- 49:36Speaker 4: gonna be like, all right, let me just go on
- 49:39Speaker 4: over here and sit out, because I know you're gonna
- 49:40Speaker 4: come right on back because you won't be heart headed.
- 49:43Speaker 4: You thank you ground, Yeah, ain't ground because you still
- 49:46Speaker 4: need help. So I'm gonna let you tek you know
- 49:51Speaker 4: what you're doing. But God is not gonna put you
- 49:53Speaker 4: in a position to where he's not going to provide
- 49:58Speaker 4: give you the provision, give you the people that are
- 50:01Speaker 4: going to help elevate you to where you need to be.
- 50:05Speaker 4: Going through a season of isolation, I'm sure you went
- 50:08Speaker 4: through that and you was like, God, it's just me
- 50:10Speaker 4: and you. Is there somebody else that's gonna come along
- 50:14Speaker 4: that I need to be looking out for and God,
- 50:17Speaker 4: like I told you to focus on me, I got you.
- 50:20Speaker 4: I don't need you to focus on anybody else. But
- 50:23Speaker 4: also in that time, God might send somebody. I'm like, God,
- 50:27Speaker 4: you sent this person over here? Are they really supposed
- 50:29Speaker 4: to be over here? Or am I just tripping? Now?
- 50:32Speaker 4: Got to give you a sign. When you ask for confirmation,
- 50:35Speaker 4: when you ask for discerning, when you ask for guidance,
- 50:38Speaker 4: when you ask for under God provides all of those things. Now,
- 50:44Speaker 4: sometimes you just definitely have to be mindful when you
- 50:47Speaker 4: praying and ask God. Sometimes he answers that where's immediately,
- 50:51Speaker 4: But we don't want to hear what he's trying to
- 50:53Speaker 4: say to us because it don't look like what we
- 50:56Speaker 4: envisioned it to look like. And that's the missake that
- 51:00Speaker 4: we make sometimes because we like God. The way I
- 51:03Speaker 4: envisioned it was step by step, and you don't took
- 51:07Speaker 4: me around the corner, up the way down in the
- 51:09Speaker 4: valley and that this this ain't what I saw And
- 51:13Speaker 4: am I am I really supposed to be doing this?
- 51:18Speaker 4: This don't look like what I thought it was supposed
- 51:20Speaker 4: to look like. So but I am so proud of you.
- 51:27Speaker 4: I'm grateful that God allowed our paths to cross, because
- 51:31Speaker 4: if they didn't cross, I feel like if they didn't
- 51:35Speaker 4: cross today, they would definitely cross somewhere along the lines
- 51:38Speaker 4: because there is no coincidence. When God is included, everything
- 51:43Speaker 4: that we do, every person that we meet, is always
- 51:46Speaker 4: by God's design because God is all knowing. God knows
- 51:51Speaker 4: who we need, who we need to talk to. So
- 51:54Speaker 4: you may not have a lot of friends, but you
- 51:55Speaker 4: got a new one right here. So I will get
- 51:58Speaker 4: on your nerves, So just be prepared because I am
- 52:03Speaker 4: that person. I will get on your nerves. I will
- 52:06Speaker 4: annoy you, but that's only because I'm checking in on you,
- 52:10Speaker 4: holding you accountable for what you said you're gonna do.
- 52:13Speaker 4: So now I know that the LLC is coming. Definitely,
- 52:18Speaker 4: No that you're gonna hear from me again, because I'm
- 52:20Speaker 4: gonna be like, Okay, what's happening? Are we ready to go?
- 52:25Speaker 4: Are we got this? But if you need my health,
- 52:33Speaker 4: got my.
- 52:34Speaker 2: Books and everything, and I see my books along how
- 52:39Speaker 2: far off my books?
- 52:41Speaker 4: No?
- 52:41Speaker 2: I know, like I know the I have, like I
- 52:45Speaker 2: know what I can do. So it's like, yeah.
- 52:50Speaker 4: Okay, okay, I'm gonna hold you to it. I'm gonna
- 52:53Speaker 4: keep checking in and see where we're going. But tell
- 52:56Speaker 4: the people how they could get in touch with you
- 52:59Speaker 4: and how they can get your book.
- 53:01Speaker 2: Yes, I have a website which is author Frederica Winn
- 53:06Speaker 2: dot com. That's my first and last name. I'm also
- 53:10Speaker 2: on Facebook author Frederica Winn, which is my name again.
- 53:15Speaker 2: Also have a YouTube channel which is author win Frederica.
- 53:19Speaker 2: So everything is pretty much my name.
- 53:23Speaker 4: Okay, see y'all, that's just how I am. I don't
- 53:26Speaker 4: need all of these, you know, catchphrases and all of
- 53:30Speaker 4: that kind of stuff, because then I can't keep up
- 53:32Speaker 4: with it. Then people spell stuff. My name is already lit.
- 53:37Speaker 4: My name is already one of those. And this is
- 53:40Speaker 4: a little cheesy thing that I give people to remember
- 53:42Speaker 4: my name. And when I say it's cheesy, it's definitely cheesy.
- 53:46Speaker 4: If you can say el Vita like the cheese, you
- 53:50Speaker 4: can say Trevita, so you'll never forget. But it works.
- 53:59Speaker 4: But I told you it was cheesy, so if it's cheesy,
- 54:03Speaker 4: you're gonna remember. I don't know why it works, but
- 54:07Speaker 4: it does. But I want to thank you for being here,
- 54:10Speaker 4: Congratulations on being nominated, and I hope that you win
- 54:15Speaker 4: because it's a beautiful story, a beautiful journey, and we
- 54:21Speaker 4: shall meet again. Now before I end my show, this
- 54:25Speaker 4: is one thing that I always say, and that is
- 54:28Speaker 4: stay out of God's business. The only thing that God
- 54:30Speaker 4: needs you to do is be obedient to what He's
- 54:32Speaker 4: called you to do. So until next time, I will
- 54:36Speaker 4: be seeing you guys again on October the twenty six,
- 54:39Speaker 4: and I have another nominee. Plus I also have doctor
- 54:44Speaker 4: Carolyn as well on the show on October the twenty six,
- 54:49Speaker 4: So you guys tune in and I thank you for
- 54:52Speaker 4: tuning in tonight, and congratulations again. And I have enjoyed
- 54:57Speaker 4: talking to you.
- 54:59Speaker 2: Thank you having me.
- 55:02Speaker 4: Yes, ma'am, y'all have a good one.
- 55:05Speaker 1: Bye, Oh Mercy nursing me.
- 55:12Speaker 2: All things ain't one things too stupid?
- 55:17Speaker 3: Where they headed all the blue skies, but boys and
- 55:23Speaker 3: is don
