- 0:00Speaker 1: NHL on T ANDD Post Games Show presented by Banda Pharmaceuticals.
- 0:04Speaker 1: No team has climbed out of an O three hole
- 0:06Speaker 1: to win a conference final series. Tonight Carolina took its
- 0:09Speaker 1: first step. They avoid the suite. They stay alive. That
- 0:14Speaker 1: man right there a big reason why. Great defensive effort, Jacobs,
- 0:18Speaker 1: Lavin and company of three nothing shutout for the Carolina Hurricanes,
- 0:23Speaker 1: and we will see a game five in the Eastern
- 0:25Speaker 1: Conference Final and Carolina breaks the drought. It is over.
- 0:32Speaker 1: It was fifteen straight conference final losses, eleven of those
- 0:35Speaker 1: with Rod Brendamore as the head coach, a whole lot
- 0:39Speaker 1: of them to this Florida Panthers team. But they get
- 0:41Speaker 1: the win here. And as we wait to talk to
- 0:44Speaker 1: Logan Stankovin, I will go over to you. Coach. We
- 0:46Speaker 1: talked about it feeling a lot more familiar to Rod
- 0:49Speaker 1: Brenda Moore. This had to look a lot more familiar.
- 0:51Speaker 2: They paid the price to win the game, so we're
- 0:54Speaker 2: going to talk a lot with the block shots now.
- 0:56Speaker 2: But they also didn't hesitate to get our loose pucks
- 0:59Speaker 2: and take a hit to make play. They did all
- 1:01Speaker 2: the little things they needed to do to win.
- 1:03Speaker 3: The game.
- 1:04Speaker 2: They didn't fool around with the puck in the in
- 1:05Speaker 2: the D zone as much. They were flipping it out
- 1:08Speaker 2: more and they were putting a lot of pressure on
- 1:10Speaker 2: Florida all over the ice. Their gaps were really good
- 1:12Speaker 2: in the neutral zone. So Florida had a tough time
- 1:15Speaker 2: generating offense again, and give Roddy a lot of credit.
- 1:18Speaker 2: And the guys's been talking about it. The top players
- 1:20Speaker 2: showed up. He challenged them after that Game three, he did.
- 1:23Speaker 2: They weren't going anywhere until those top players showed up.
- 1:26Speaker 2: And give them credit. Al Hoo's line was excellent. Tonight
- 1:30Speaker 2: orlov bounce back. We're going to talk a lot about him.
- 1:32Speaker 2: He bounced back from a tough night, So and Anderson
- 1:35Speaker 2: give him a lot of credit. He made the saves
- 1:38Speaker 2: he had to make at the right time. Man, he
- 1:40Speaker 2: came up huge for them. So they paid the price
- 1:43Speaker 2: and they played on their toes. They played North. Give
- 1:45Speaker 2: them full marks.
- 1:46Speaker 3: And to me, win or lose in a game like this,
- 1:50Speaker 3: you want to go out playing your style of hockey.
- 1:55Speaker 3: Carolina Hockey is officially in the conference finals. We haven't
- 1:58Speaker 3: seen it. Tonight saw it. So I think that along
- 2:02Speaker 3: Loan must feel good for them. When they watch these
- 2:05Speaker 3: clips tomorrow preparing for next game, they're like, Okay, this
- 2:08Speaker 3: is how we should look. We didn't really see much
- 2:12Speaker 3: of that in the first few games, so a lot
- 2:14Speaker 3: of credit to how they executed this game.
- 2:17Speaker 4: Yeah, the right mindset, Hank. You know, outshot or outscored
- 2:20Speaker 4: sixteen to four the first three games. Florida Panthers, missing Mikola,
- 2:24Speaker 4: missing Ryan Hart. That's a lot of offense. So the
- 2:26Speaker 4: Caroline Hurricanes came this game the right defensive mindset. Try
- 2:29Speaker 4: to win a hockey game one nothing and for the
- 2:31Speaker 4: most part, Biz, that's exactly what this game was tonight.
- 2:33Speaker 5: Yeah, and just to compete early on, I'll just roll
- 2:36Speaker 5: one quick clip where you know we've seen Florida and
- 2:38Speaker 5: poser will and bully the Carolina Hurricanes the first three games.
- 2:41Speaker 5: I really liked this early on. We interviewed Mark before
- 2:44Speaker 5: the game and this is the type of stuff. There's
- 2:46Speaker 5: a pushback. They're emotionally invested early. No, you're you know
- 2:49Speaker 5: you're going to get the sticky mit from Kachuk. But
- 2:51Speaker 5: he's right there. Five guys defending their goaltender and all
- 2:55Speaker 5: really getting involved. That's what you want to see during
- 2:57Speaker 5: those scrums. You want to see this one guy hanging out.
- 3:00Speaker 5: You want to see them getting it done as a pack.
- 3:01Speaker 5: And I felt from early on between their forward group
- 3:05Speaker 5: imposing their will getting in there on the for check
- 3:08Speaker 5: really being a lot more direct, and of course their
- 3:10Speaker 5: d man need full marks for the way they played
- 3:12Speaker 5: tonight like slave in twenty eight minutes four blocks shot
- 3:16Speaker 5: on that plus three like there's really nothing more that
- 3:19Speaker 5: he could have done as far as the defenseman and
- 3:21Speaker 5: how he played.
- 3:21Speaker 1: And we've spoken at linked as to what this team
- 3:25Speaker 1: can do when they play with the lead. They finally
- 3:27Speaker 1: got a lead in this series. Logan Stankovin was the
- 3:30Speaker 1: reason why. An absolute snipe from him, he joins us
- 3:32Speaker 1: right now, Logan, congrats, great game. I do I have
- 3:36Speaker 1: to ask Rod Brendamore what was said after last game
- 3:39Speaker 1: and what was said before tonight to get you guys
- 3:42Speaker 1: going for this one.
- 3:44Speaker 6: I think it's just the mentality of no quit and
- 3:47Speaker 6: we knew in the group there we had more and
- 3:49Speaker 6: it showed tonight, so we got to build on it.
- 3:52Speaker 3: Logan hank here, you just look quicker, all of you
- 3:55Speaker 3: guys making decisions, especially offensively, and that led to a
- 3:59Speaker 3: lot of offense us something you talked about going into
- 4:01Speaker 3: this game to just be quicker.
- 4:04Speaker 6: Yeah, I think, uh, try and impost our well and
- 4:07Speaker 6: playing our toes more. I think that's key. I think
- 4:11Speaker 6: they play a really aggressive style as well, and you know,
- 4:13Speaker 6: I thought way to do a better job in these
- 4:16Speaker 6: coming games, and tonight it showed so well.
- 4:19Speaker 4: Going to say, hell of a game tonight, You're only
- 4:21Speaker 4: twenty two years old, You're already playing in your second
- 4:24Speaker 4: conference final. How much of that experience playing in the
- 4:27Speaker 4: conference final last year help you go into this year's
- 4:29Speaker 4: Eastern Conference Final.
- 4:31Speaker 6: Yeah, it was huge. You know, it's meaningful hockey and
- 4:35Speaker 6: there's no place you'd rather be at this time. So
- 4:38Speaker 6: I think last year it was hard, hard to come
- 4:40Speaker 6: by goals and to put up points. So you know,
- 4:45Speaker 6: I think I learned how to stay patient and you
- 4:47Speaker 6: never know when space is going to open up for you,
- 4:49Speaker 6: so you just got to stay ready and put yourself
- 4:51Speaker 6: in the best position possible to get chances.
- 4:54Speaker 5: Stank Biz, your congrats on a great game. I thought
- 4:57Speaker 5: you were one of the most noticeable forwards out there.
- 5:00Speaker 5: Was gonna shift my focus to the back end. Alexander
- 5:03Speaker 5: nikishin a major language barrier with him coming over from Russia.
- 5:06Speaker 5: In the KHL, I thought he stepped in and did
- 5:09Speaker 5: a tremendous job. The last few games he has the
- 5:11Speaker 5: primary assists on your goal. What can you say about
- 5:14Speaker 5: him hopping the lineup and playing the way that he's
- 5:16Speaker 5: played given everything I just mentioned.
- 5:19Speaker 6: Yeah, he's been an absolute monster for us, and it's
- 5:22Speaker 6: not easy for him coming over overseas so quickly and
- 5:26Speaker 6: getting integrated with us. So yeah, it was just a
- 5:28Speaker 6: great play by him there, quick up and yeah it's
- 5:32Speaker 6: nice to pot that, but he's being unbelievable. So you know,
- 5:36Speaker 6: when one guy's when one guy goes down, you know
- 5:38Speaker 6: it's nice staff guys like that step up.
- 5:40Speaker 1: So good jopped him Logan final one for me after
- 5:44Speaker 1: last game, I'm curious what if anything was said in
- 5:47Speaker 1: the locker room by the guys about the idea that
- 5:49Speaker 1: maybe they were getting in your face and you guys
- 5:51Speaker 1: weren't pushing back. Was there an effort or something said where, hey,
- 5:56Speaker 1: we have to have each other's backs going forward.
- 5:59Speaker 6: Yeah, of course, I think you just got to bring
- 6:00Speaker 6: that swagger each game. You know, it's not crossing the line,
- 6:04Speaker 6: but it's being there. For your teammates and you know,
- 6:08Speaker 6: being together that's the main thing. So you know, it's
- 6:11Speaker 6: just part of the game. But you got to stand
- 6:13Speaker 6: there and you know they should own and take it.
- 6:16Speaker 1: Too show tonight.
- 6:17Speaker 4: Congratulations, great game, congrats, thank you.
- 6:22Speaker 1: Pretty cool. Twenty two years old. Scored in the Western
- 6:25Speaker 1: Conference Final last year, scored in the Eastern Conference Final
- 6:28Speaker 1: this year. But this was the defensive efforts you mentioned it.
- 6:31Speaker 1: Sixteen goals against the first three games. That's not Carolina
- 6:34Speaker 1: hockey at all. The fact, that's what Rod, Brinda Brocord.
- 6:37Speaker 2: You look like this.
- 6:38Speaker 1: I don't even recognize what I'm seeing out there. What
- 6:42Speaker 1: Jacob Slavin did tonight is the reason we've talked about
- 6:46Speaker 1: creating a new trophy for the best defensive defenseman out there,
- 6:49Speaker 1: mainly because he'd win it easily.
- 6:51Speaker 4: Oh incredible, just incredible, the way he sacrifices his body,
- 6:54Speaker 4: the way forces the opposition to pass plots through him,
- 6:58Speaker 4: and time and time again, we're back in you room,
- 7:00Speaker 4: were like, oh my gosh, another block. Who's that Slaven?
- 7:02Speaker 4: Oh great play, who's that Slaven? Like he was everywhere
- 7:06Speaker 4: out there for the Carolina Hurricanes and Hank Man. I mean,
- 7:09Speaker 4: you must just love the defenseman playing in front of you.
- 7:11Speaker 4: I think Dan Gerdier is simmar kind of defenseman New
- 7:14Speaker 4: York Rangers that just did whatever, took the deep pocks,
- 7:17Speaker 4: block shots, make like miserable for the opposition, and make
- 7:20Speaker 4: your job a lot easier.
- 7:21Speaker 3: Yeah, you know too, you watch all these clips. He's
- 7:24Speaker 3: just so good position wise. If you started with that alone,
- 7:29Speaker 3: it's going to help you so much as a defenseman.
- 7:31Speaker 3: It also helps the goaltender when you're demon is not
- 7:33Speaker 3: running around. It's just half a step far away from
- 7:37Speaker 3: his opponents, so he can always step in with the
- 7:40Speaker 3: stick you saw getting closed. And they love the way
- 7:42Speaker 3: he goes down blocking shots one knee like that. Sometimes
- 7:45Speaker 3: I don't think players understand how small of a surface
- 7:49Speaker 3: they actually need to cover when they're far away from
- 7:52Speaker 3: the net to make a good block. Sometimes you see
- 7:54Speaker 3: guys just goes straight out and it's just screened the goal.
- 7:58Speaker 3: But when one leg down, you pretty much we're talking
- 8:02Speaker 3: a square this wide, maybe this high. When you're that
- 8:05Speaker 3: far out, that will take away the entire net. So
- 8:09Speaker 3: when you understand that, you just need to go down
- 8:11Speaker 3: one leg, be solid. If you miss the body there,
- 8:15Speaker 3: you're going to miss the net. So he made a
- 8:16Speaker 3: couple of those blocks tonight that it just for me
- 8:19Speaker 3: as a goal, I'm like, that's what I'm talking about.
- 8:21Speaker 3: That's what I want to see from my d Like
- 8:23Speaker 3: solid body covered, a great block like that, but just
- 8:27Speaker 3: the way he plays, the physicality, you know what he's
- 8:30Speaker 3: bringing every shift. That's it's a great great to watch.
- 8:35Speaker 5: Four blocks, Yeah, four block that the timing on the blocks,
- 8:38Speaker 5: and it's the positioning and obviously the sacrifice and just
- 8:41Speaker 5: how he trusts his skating and his stick. Right there's
- 8:43Speaker 5: a few plays there you think he's out of position
- 8:46Speaker 5: or maybe he's not going to get there in time,
- 8:47Speaker 5: and right on Barkoff, stick on puck there and not
- 8:50Speaker 5: many times you see someone manhandle Barkoff like that in
- 8:52Speaker 5: the corner. So it was a full fledge effort from him.
- 8:55Speaker 5: Also on the offensive side, keeping plays alive. You know
- 8:58Speaker 5: you saw that shot on net, keeping it low, shooting
- 9:01Speaker 5: for rebounds and not making it easy on Bob so
- 9:04Speaker 5: start to finish. He was their catalyst tonight and full
- 9:07Speaker 5: marks to him as well as Orlov like he last game.
- 9:10Speaker 5: I mean, that's just as rough as a playoff game
- 9:12Speaker 5: as anybody's going to have so to mentally be able
- 9:15Speaker 5: to bounce back knowing that you're playing on the road
- 9:17Speaker 5: like that and you are a little bit thin on
- 9:19Speaker 5: the back end. I thought he was tremendous as well
- 9:21Speaker 5: as Burns too. Like Barkov had that one play where
- 9:23Speaker 5: he walked in the slot. It looked like he was
- 9:25Speaker 5: going to be all alone, but last second he got
- 9:28Speaker 5: the poke as well. So I really felt like their
- 9:30Speaker 5: their leaders and their big guys on the back end
- 9:33Speaker 5: were the ones to drive this victory.
- 9:35Speaker 2: A guy like Slave and like he plays hard minutes,
- 9:37Speaker 2: he doesn't get enough shift off. He plays against the
- 9:40Speaker 2: best players. He kills penalties, which is hard work. And
- 9:43Speaker 2: you saw him battling Barkob Barkhoff is a big, strong
- 9:46Speaker 2: guy and for him to win that battle like he
- 9:48Speaker 2: was all in tonight, and you love that. A guy
- 9:50Speaker 2: like Orlov takes a lot of pride in his game,
- 9:53Speaker 2: and you saw it tonight, like he probably didn't sleep
- 9:55Speaker 2: for two nights. He was so upset with how he played.
- 9:58Speaker 2: That was a tough night. Nothing went well for right.
- 10:00Speaker 2: So you got to bounce back. You gotta be honest
- 10:02Speaker 2: with yourself. You gotta look at how you played. Okay,
- 10:05Speaker 2: these are the situations. I gotta be better. I've got
- 10:07Speaker 2: to compete, I've got to move I got to move
- 10:08Speaker 2: the puck better. Whatever it was, give him full marks
- 10:11Speaker 2: to bounce back. That's not an easy game to bounce
- 10:13Speaker 2: back from, so give him full marks for that.
- 10:16Speaker 1: It's late in twenty eight minutes tonight. You've called him
- 10:18Speaker 1: the ultimate wet blanket. I mean, the guy goes out
- 10:20Speaker 1: there and just smothers things, doesn't talk a whole lot,
- 10:23Speaker 1: just gets the job done, doesn't take penalties pretty much. Ever,
- 10:27Speaker 1: even though he's playing a physical game, then he goes
- 10:29Speaker 1: out and kills penalties. Works even beyond the game though.
- 10:32Speaker 1: Talking with Jackie Redmond as well.
- 10:36Speaker 7: Well, Jacob, there was a lot of people that called
- 10:38Speaker 7: this series over after Game three. What can you say
- 10:41Speaker 7: about the effort tonight and the character of the room
- 10:44Speaker 7: to come out and have your best game of the series.
- 10:46Speaker 8: I mean, that's huge routine, that it's resilient that never quits,
- 10:50Speaker 8: and so we're just going out there giving it our
- 10:52Speaker 8: best effort. I was definite our best effer of a
- 10:54Speaker 8: series so far, and so I just wanted to ge
- 10:56Speaker 8: have a game out of time here and just got
- 10:58Speaker 8: to keep playing that way, it.
- 10:59Speaker 7: Was a hell of an effort, especially defensively. There were
- 11:02Speaker 7: stretches where Florida had nothing, I think fourteen minutes at
- 11:04Speaker 7: one point without a shot. How were you able to
- 11:06Speaker 7: shut down their offense and open up your own?
- 11:09Speaker 8: I think for us it was just managing the puck well.
- 11:10Speaker 8: I mean the first three games we kept turning pucks over,
- 11:13Speaker 8: trying to get out of a zone, trying to get
- 11:14Speaker 8: through the neutral zone, and so it's just managing the
- 11:16Speaker 8: puck well. And that gives us better offense because we're
- 11:18Speaker 8: getting the puck in. But then on the defensive side,
- 11:21Speaker 8: rock giment on anion not given the chances that they
- 11:23Speaker 8: don't need.
- 11:24Speaker 7: Rod Brindemore relied very heavily on both you and Brent Burns.
- 11:26Speaker 7: But I want to ask you about the rookie nikishin.
- 11:28Speaker 7: He had a hell of a game. It's very difficult
- 11:31Speaker 7: to be a rookie defenseman in this league, even harder
- 11:33Speaker 7: when you don't speak English. What can you say about
- 11:35Speaker 7: his game?
- 11:35Speaker 8: He played great. I mean, hut, you got Saham forgetting
- 11:37Speaker 8: in this first point, but yeah, I mean he played
- 11:40Speaker 8: a heck of a game, came in here, steppedup played
- 11:42Speaker 8: some big minutes and I mean he's got a good
- 11:44Speaker 8: head on his shoulder, lots of smiles for him, and
- 11:47Speaker 8: he's having fun out there.
- 11:48Speaker 7: Well, it all starts with one. You got one. I
- 11:51Speaker 7: know you're a big team USA guy as well. A
- 11:53Speaker 7: huge win for them yesterday. Anything you want to add
- 11:55Speaker 7: about that.
- 11:55Speaker 8: Yeah, No, that's a huge win for them. And obviously
- 11:58Speaker 8: with Memorial Day being the day, I think that's just
- 12:00Speaker 8: even even more special. And so kno, congrats to that.
- 12:03Speaker 8: That's awesome, good couple of days for you.
- 12:05Speaker 7: Thank you for this. In congrats on the wind tonight,
- 12:06Speaker 7: thank you.
- 12:09Speaker 4: As you were talking about his active stick, she decides
- 12:12Speaker 4: the guy's forums just now, Yeah, looked like popua hot,
- 12:15Speaker 4: like you.
- 12:17Speaker 5: Want to shake weight, not hose. Yeah at incredible in
- 12:21Speaker 5: the rice bucket.
- 12:22Speaker 1: Incredible, well team, he was a one of the World
- 12:24Speaker 1: Championships of the first time since nineteen thirty three. His
- 12:26Speaker 1: team trying to make some history, A long way to
- 12:29Speaker 1: go there and coming back in the conference final, they
- 12:31Speaker 1: get a game here Freddie Anderson. They went to get
- 12:35Speaker 1: Chekhov in the last game. Freddy Anderson comes back in
- 12:37Speaker 1: this one again not spectacular, but the word boost kept
- 12:41Speaker 1: using is just how calm he was throughout this.
- 12:43Speaker 3: Entire Yeah, he looked calm and he was able to
- 12:46Speaker 3: find the pucks through screens, something he's struggled a little
- 12:50Speaker 3: bit with the first few games. But there was also
- 12:52Speaker 3: a lot of funny goals the first couple of games, a.
- 12:55Speaker 9: Lot of bounces on his own teammates, through the guys
- 12:59Speaker 9: through the tonight. Everything just felt cleaner.
- 13:03Speaker 3: His game felt cleaner.
- 13:04Speaker 9: The way they played in front of him felt cleaner,
- 13:07Speaker 9: and a lot of times that goes hand in hand.
- 13:09Speaker 9: If you want to have a great game as a goalie,
- 13:12Speaker 9: you need clean performance in front of you, and he
- 13:15Speaker 9: got that. But you got to be happy for him
- 13:17Speaker 9: the way he responded, that's the kind of response you
- 13:19Speaker 9: want to see from your starting goalie after being benched.
- 13:23Speaker 3: You come in here in a huge game and he
- 13:26Speaker 3: plays his best game of the series so far. So
- 13:29Speaker 3: it's gonna be interesting to see now. You know, they
- 13:32Speaker 3: do have a lot of confidence at home. They found
- 13:34Speaker 3: their game here. Can they shake things up here a
- 13:38Speaker 3: little bit going back to Raleigh and win that one,
- 13:40Speaker 3: then we have.
- 13:41Speaker 4: A series And speaking of find their game, Hank, like
- 13:43Speaker 4: I thought, Sebastianaho was Okay, you know, I've got pretty
- 13:46Speaker 4: high standards for him, but maybe scoring that empty net
- 13:48Speaker 4: goal could give him just that enough, like a little
- 13:51Speaker 4: bit of a nudge to make him feel better about
- 13:53Speaker 4: himself going to this next game back at home.
- 13:55Speaker 1: They get the two empty net goals, that makes a
- 13:57Speaker 1: three nothing. I want to take it back though, to
- 14:00Speaker 1: fairly early in that third period, about four and a
- 14:02Speaker 1: half minutes and when it's still a one nothing game,
- 14:04Speaker 1: because there's a play here with Nakish defending and he's
- 14:07Speaker 1: going to be called for a slash. As Lundell streaks
- 14:11Speaker 1: to the net and was looks like he's in front.
- 14:13Speaker 1: I know it's coming from an angle, but he certainly
- 14:15Speaker 1: looks like he's in front. And all of us are
- 14:17Speaker 1: watching this, looking at it and wondering if this is
- 14:20Speaker 1: going to be a penalty shot. Is there any reason
- 14:22Speaker 1: why this should not have been a penalty shot?
- 14:24Speaker 2: Bald No, I can't think of one, and I can't
- 14:27Speaker 2: see one of the somebody saw a different angle than
- 14:30Speaker 2: I did. I'm looking at that he's walking in clear
- 14:32Speaker 2: to the net. That's a penalty shot in my mind.
- 14:34Speaker 3: Don't you feel that holding back a lot of times
- 14:37Speaker 3: to call that there's so many times I watch it,
- 14:39Speaker 3: that's a penalty shot and they go for a two
- 14:42Speaker 3: minute minor instead. I know, I don't know what it is.
- 14:45Speaker 2: I went through a stretch for a while there in
- 14:46Speaker 2: the league, like every game there's a penalty shot. It was,
- 14:49Speaker 2: it was unreal. And now all of a sudden, you're
- 14:51Speaker 2: in the playoffs and it's a tight game and you
- 14:53Speaker 2: see that opportunity. That's a great chance for me to say,
- 14:56Speaker 2: call a penalty shot. That's he's in, right, he took
- 15:00Speaker 2: away a scoring opportunity.
- 15:02Speaker 5: I think he was distracted by that toe drag by
- 15:04Speaker 5: Brad Marshawn. I'm still marveling at what he was able
- 15:07Speaker 5: to do there.
- 15:08Speaker 1: But it's an interesting timing too, because remember at the
- 15:10Speaker 1: start of this series, Florida was on fire on the
- 15:13Speaker 1: power play for their first five they cash in on,
- 15:15Speaker 1: but they're oh for their last eight. So there probably
- 15:17Speaker 1: would have been a ton earlier on when you were like, oh,
- 15:20Speaker 1: we don't want the pealty shot, we want to be in.
- 15:21Speaker 1: That was not the time they would have preferred the
- 15:23Speaker 1: pealty shot in that situation. But Florida in general, you
- 15:25Speaker 1: have Carolina who's going to be confident going to the
- 15:28Speaker 1: next game. Did it feel like Florida's energy, maybe a
- 15:32Speaker 1: little bit of their nastiness dipped in this game.
- 15:36Speaker 5: Yeah, I don't think they looked like that same team
- 15:38Speaker 5: who's imposed there well the first three. Now keep in
- 15:41Speaker 5: mind they got Ryan Hart and Nicola out of the lineup,
- 15:43Speaker 5: so Greer as well. Yeah, Greer as well, So you
- 15:46Speaker 5: can plug and play so much to have success. I
- 15:49Speaker 5: thought bothus was tremendous last game, but ultimately at a
- 15:52Speaker 5: certain point you're going to see some drop off, and
- 15:55Speaker 5: you know, I don't think that they were able to
- 15:56Speaker 5: get to the inside the way that they have in
- 15:58Speaker 5: the first three games. But once again, and that's a
- 16:00Speaker 5: credit to what Carolina was able to do as far
- 16:02Speaker 5: as their d and also as a five man group.
- 16:05Speaker 5: So credit to one side, but definitely didn't look like.
- 16:08Speaker 3: I do think the biggest change was Carolina, not so
- 16:11Speaker 3: much Florida. Maybe a little drop, slight drop, but there
- 16:14Speaker 3: was more Carolina. They talked themselves about going into this one,
- 16:17Speaker 3: we've been beating ourselves. They didn't do that tonight. So
- 16:21Speaker 3: that was the biggest biggest change in my mind in
- 16:23Speaker 3: this game.
- 16:24Speaker 4: I'm with you, Hanking. It starts off. The face offs too.
- 16:26Speaker 4: I know if you've got time to show it. But
- 16:28Speaker 4: the face offs to me or start to give me
- 16:30Speaker 4: an indication whether or not a team is ready. And
- 16:33Speaker 4: here's a face off that you go to see in
- 16:34Speaker 4: the offensive zone. There's Burns and he switched aside. Now
- 16:38Speaker 4: he's got to stick on the inside the left handed
- 16:39Speaker 4: defense and on the.
- 16:40Speaker 8: Other side too.
- 16:41Speaker 4: Now that's Jackson Blake going right to the net. Guys,
- 16:43Speaker 4: there's no hesitation here. This is all with intent and purpose.
- 16:47Speaker 4: Get that pucks your partner, you're on a one timer
- 16:49Speaker 4: position there, and shoot the pucket of the net. I
- 16:51Speaker 4: got off to Carolina Hurricanes Hockey. There's no hesitation, there's
- 16:55Speaker 4: no will do I hold on to it?
- 16:56Speaker 5: What do I do with it?
- 16:57Speaker 4: No, it's direct, it's with a purpose set through and
- 17:00Speaker 4: then they get on their horse and try to get
- 17:02Speaker 4: those loose pucks and those rebounds, like when the Carolina
- 17:03Speaker 4: Hurricanes usually do against the opposition.
- 17:06Speaker 3: They want to.
- 17:08Speaker 2: If it's going to Burns, it's going to the net.
- 17:10Speaker 2: He doesn't hesitate shooting the puck. You watch both those forwards,
- 17:13Speaker 2: they're going comes to Brent Burns. The puck is going
- 17:15Speaker 2: to the nets.
- 17:16Speaker 5: No doubt,
