  today's play from Jeremiah 7. You steal,

  murder, commit adultery, swear falsely,

  offer to bail, and go after other gods

  you have not known. Then you come and

  stand before me in this house that bears
• 0:26
  my name and say, "We're saved." so that
• 0:29
  you can go on doing these abominations.

  Do you regard this house which bears my
• 0:34
  name as a cave for bandits? I can see
• 0:36
  for myself what's going on, says Adoni.

  Rather, what I did order them was this.

  Pay attention to what I say. Then I will

  be your God and you will be my people

  and everything. Live according to the

  way that I order you so that things will

  go well for you. This is a terrifying

  indictment. Men, we need to have an

  honest conversation. God is exposing

  religious hypocrisy. People living in

  open rebellion, then claiming security
• 1:04
  because they show up in in God's house.

  And we are watching this play out in our
• 1:10
  culture. A young black man this past
• 1:13
  weekend nearby kills a child with his
• 1:15
  car, then shoots the parents and a
• 1:17
  neighbor trying to help. A young white
• 1:19
  man in Canada last week, immersed in
• 1:22
  gender confusion, kills his mother and
• 1:24
  brother and attempts more violence at
• 1:26
  school. These are not random headlines.

  They're fruit. Fruit of homes without
• 1:31
  spiritual leadership. Fruit of fathers
• 1:34
  absent or passive. Fruit of a culture
• 1:37
  that worships self instead of God. We've
• 1:40
  abandon the truth. We've replaced thus
• 1:42
  says the Lord with this is my truth. And
• 1:45
  when everyone becomes their own
• 1:46
  authority, chaos follows. Jeremiah says
• 1:50
  people worshiped false gods and then
• 1:52
  stood in the temple claiming safety.

  That's today. Church attendance without
• 1:57
  obedience. Christian language without
• 1:59
  submission. Profession without
• 2:01
  repentance. God says, "I see what's
• 2:04
  going on. He sees the hypocrisy. He sees
• 2:06
  the compromise. He sees the rebellion.
• 2:09
  And he's not fooled. The solution is not
• 2:12
  politics. It's not policies. It's not
• 2:14
  programs. It's repentance. Pay attention
• 2:17
  to what I say. Live according to my
• 2:20
  ways." Men, revival doesn't start in
• 2:22
  Washington. It starts in living rooms.

  It starts when fathers lead. It starts
• 2:27
  when we repent. Run today's play.

  Examine yourself. Are you obeying Jesus

  or are you identifying as Christian?

  Second, lead your home. Open the word.

  Pray out loud. Teach truth. Model

  repentance. Third, refuse cultural lies.

  Stand calmly, but stand clearly and

  stand biblically. And finally, speak the

  gospel. Jesus alone forgives sins. Jesus

  alone restores homes and Jesus alone
• 2:56
  brings peace. God's not impressed with
• 2:58
  religious talk. He wants obedience. Our

  culture is collapsing because we've
• 3:03
  rejected his ways. But restoration is
• 3:05
  possible if we will listen, if we will
• 3:08
  repent, and if we will obey. Men, don't
• 3:12
  just stand in the house. Walk in his
• 3:14
  ways and lead others to do the same. If
• 3:16
  this huddle helps you know God better so
