- 0:26Speaker 1: Welcome to your Wednesday, October 14th on Mix 102.9. It's
- 0:30Speaker 1: Billy the Kid. Candace Lopez is here. Producer Pooh is here.
- 0:33Speaker 1: Good morning, Candace. How are you?
- 0:35Speaker 6: I'm good.
- 0:35Speaker 7: I noticed something yesterday that I'm like completely obsessed with.
- 0:38Speaker 5: Me?
- 0:38Speaker 8: Me and Pooh?
- 0:39Speaker 6: With you and Pooh.
- 0:40Speaker 7: Yeah, I am completely obsessed with you guys. That's why
- 0:43Speaker 7: I show up here so early every day. No, I
- 0:46Speaker 7: was at the fair yesterday, and Enzo was like, Mom,
- 0:48Speaker 7: which game are we going to do first? And he remembered,
- 0:51Speaker 7: and I just hadn't crossed my mind in so long.
- 0:53Speaker 7: You know, I go to the fair once a year.
- 0:54Speaker 1: I know which one you're talking about.
- 0:56Speaker 6: What?
- 0:57Speaker 1: The one that I'm obsessed with is the one where
- 0:59Speaker 1: you smack the chicken. No, no, no, no. No.
- 1:05Speaker 7: He brought it up to me and I was like,
- 1:07Speaker 7: I can't believe you remember. That's my favorite game because
- 1:09Speaker 7: it took me a second because I love skeeball.
- 1:11Speaker 6: I love playing the basketball games. No, it's the one
- 1:13Speaker 6: where you like shoot.
- 1:14Speaker 7: The water at the thing and the balloon blows up.
- 1:17Speaker 8: Oh, yeah.
- 1:18Speaker 7: I love or like the horse goes across or whatever
- 1:21Speaker 7: like that.
- 1:22Speaker 1: Yeah. It could be the balloon. It could be the horse.
- 1:24Speaker 1: It could be whatever.
- 1:24Speaker 6: Yeah, it could be lights, whatever it is.
- 1:26Speaker 7: But I am obsessed with that game. I don't know why. Like,
- 1:29Speaker 7: you don't have to press a button. You just, like,
- 1:31Speaker 7: aim the water at the thing, and then it just goes.
- 1:34Speaker 8: I don't know.
- 1:35Speaker 7: That's my favorite game. And I, like, wish I would
- 1:37Speaker 7: have played a few more times yesterday.
- 1:39Speaker 1: Did you win?
- 1:40Speaker 6: No, I didn't win. I was so close.
- 1:42Speaker 7: Denzel almost won. He was like, I mean, his balloon
- 1:44Speaker 7: was about to pop, and the game stopped.
- 1:47Speaker 1: Oh, that game is fun.
- 1:48Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 1:49Speaker 1: I love that.
- 1:49Speaker 7: I love that game, but that should be, like, in
- 1:51Speaker 7: more places. Like, why isn't that, you know, a thing
- 1:54Speaker 7: in life?
- 1:54Speaker 1: It should be at bars.
- 1:55Speaker 7: Yeah, it should be at bars. It should be, like,
- 1:57Speaker 7: Dave and Buster's.
- 1:58Speaker 1: Yeah, and then when you get to the end, if
- 2:00Speaker 1: you win, you get, like, a free drink or something.
- 2:02Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 2:02Speaker 1: Can we start an adult carnival?
- 2:04Speaker 7: Yeah, exactly. I mean, the State Fair kind of is
- 2:07Speaker 7: an adult.
- 2:07Speaker 6: Carnival if you're with adults.
- 2:09Speaker 1: Kind of is. But y'all had fun?
- 2:11Speaker 6: Yeah, such a good time yesterday. It was so hot, though.
- 2:13Speaker 7: There were so many people just laying on the floor
- 2:15Speaker 7: in the auto building.
- 2:17Speaker 6: Just getting A.C.
- 2:18Speaker 7: We're like, I've never seen so many people just laying
- 2:20Speaker 7: on this dirty floor.
- 2:21Speaker 1: It was also just so humid yesterday.
- 2:24Speaker 6: Yeah, it was a hot day to go, but it
- 2:26Speaker 6: was worth it.
- 2:27Speaker 1: Oh, good. I do love that chicken game, though.
- 2:29Speaker 6: Yeah, I didn't see that.
- 2:30Speaker 1: What? No, I don't know. The sledgehammer with the chicken
- 2:34Speaker 1: and you sling it in the air? No, I remember.
- 2:36Speaker 7: You played it last year or the year before, but I.
- 2:38Speaker 6: Didn't see it.
- 2:39Speaker 1: I've never won. Really? I think I've played it for
- 2:42Speaker 1: 30 years and I've never won.
- 2:43Speaker 6: Well, where did we get that gold chicken in the
- 2:45Speaker 6: other room? Didn't you win that there?
- 2:47Speaker 1: Yeah, I thought Ryder did something. No, I think I
- 2:49Speaker 1: got that one from playing basketball. I usually only win
- 2:52Speaker 1: on basketball and the shooting game with the star.
- 2:54Speaker 8: Oh, yeah.
- 2:54Speaker 1: I win, like, big prizes on that thing.
- 2:56Speaker 6: Nice.
- 2:57Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 2:58Speaker 1: Oh, speaking of shooting, man, thankfully I'm here.
- 3:02Speaker 6: Yeah, I wasn't sure if you were coming to work
- 3:03Speaker 6: today or not.
- 3:04Speaker 1: I wasn't sure either, but Pooh and I.
- 3:05Speaker 6: For multiple reasons.
- 3:06Speaker 1: Pooh and I... Multiple reasons? What do you mean?
- 3:08Speaker 7: Well, because, you know, if you got recruited by the
- 3:11Speaker 7: Tarrant County Sheriff's Office, you know, maybe you were going
- 3:12Speaker 7: to call in.
- 3:13Speaker 6: Today or quit or.
- 3:14Speaker 1: They wanted me. Yeah, they did. Yeah, you know, I
- 3:17Speaker 1: said I had a job to do, and I didn't
- 3:18Speaker 1: want to let you down. But Pooh and I were both...
- 3:20Speaker 1: I mean, we were pretty much sought after yesterday. So
- 3:24Speaker 1: thank you to Sergeant Opta. He's awesome, by the way.
- 3:28Speaker 1: Everyone over there is so nice, but we had the
- 3:30Speaker 1: best time. I got in the SWAT vehicle, the Tarrant
- 3:32Speaker 1: County Sheriff SWAT vehicle.
- 3:34Speaker 6: Is that like the giant van?
- 3:35Speaker 1: Yes. It ain't no van. It's a tank.
- 3:37Speaker 6: Well, yeah, like a tank and not a van. I've
- 3:40Speaker 6: seen it on the news before where they're having a
- 3:42Speaker 6: standoff or something.
- 3:42Speaker 1: Yes, that thing was awesome. I talked to their hostage negotiators.
- 3:46Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 3:47Speaker 1: This is all stuff you can do.
- 3:48Speaker 6: Wow.
- 3:49Speaker 1: I'm like, you know what? I mean, if you're just
- 3:51Speaker 1: looking to do something and you're trying to figure out
- 3:53Speaker 1: what you want to do in life, why would you
- 3:55Speaker 1: not do that?
- 3:56Speaker 6: Right.
- 3:56Speaker 7: It's got to take a lot of training, right, to
- 3:58Speaker 7: be a hostage negotiator?
- 4:00Speaker 1: Yeah, but you could do it. I could do it
- 4:01Speaker 1: as much as the stuff I do and deal with
- 4:04Speaker 1: Pooh and everyone else.
- 4:05Speaker 6: Do you call the hostages?
- 4:07Speaker 7: Do you speak on the speaker outside of the SWAT vehicle?
- 4:10Speaker 1: Well, Candace, it depends on the situation. They got a
- 4:13Speaker 1: whole little set up. They have a van that they
- 4:15Speaker 1: show up, and sometimes they'll even dangle off the building
- 4:18Speaker 1: to talk to you if you're threatening to jump. It's
- 4:20Speaker 1: serious what they do. They're pretty awesome.
- 4:23Speaker 6: Yeah, we need those people.
- 4:24Speaker 1: And then Pooh and I got tased.
- 4:26Speaker 6: How was that?
- 4:28Speaker 5: Man.
- 4:29Speaker 1: You want to talk about catching the spirit. So they
- 4:32Speaker 1: have these gloves that detention officers can wear if an
- 4:37Speaker 1: inmate is not complying with And they'll just touch you.
- 4:42Speaker 1: And I swear to you, I'm like, this thing's not
- 4:46Speaker 1: going to take me down. He put on those gloves
- 4:49Speaker 1: and they're like, you ready? And we're like.
- 4:50Speaker 8: Are there levels or is it.
- 4:53Speaker 6: Like one level?
- 4:53Speaker 1: We were on this low level. Oh, wow. And it
- 4:56Speaker 1: took us down to the mat.
- 4:59Speaker 4: Yes.
- 5:00Speaker 1: Nice. So either way, thank you to Sergeant Op-Dop. He's awesome.
- 5:03Speaker 1: So much fun. We had such a good time. Yeah,
- 5:07Speaker 1: it was awesome. Yeah, but I'm here. So, yeah, they
- 5:09Speaker 1: wanted us pretty bad.
- 5:11Speaker 6: Well, they can have you guys after 10.
- 5:13Speaker 1: Okay.
- 5:13Speaker 8: But we're loyal to you.
- 5:14Speaker 1: We came on in.
- 5:15Speaker 5: Thank you.
- 5:15Speaker 1: Yeah. But they did give me a pager just in
- 5:18Speaker 1: case they need to call me. Yeah, that's how they
- 5:20Speaker 1: do it because they can't, you know, they keep it real.
- 5:23Speaker 8: Oh, for special ops?
- 5:24Speaker 1: Yeah, you can work your regular job, but if they
- 5:26Speaker 1: paid you. I got to go. Really? Yeah, because, yeah,
- 5:29Speaker 1: they want me for some hostage negotiation stuff. Okay. And
- 5:33Speaker 1: to work the pepper ball gun.
- 5:34Speaker 9: Yeah, yeah.
- 5:35Speaker 1: And to be on the SWAT team. It's a whole thing.
- 5:37Speaker 1: I'm doing a lot.
- 5:37Speaker 8: I'm busy. I can tell, yeah.
- 5:39Speaker 1: Either way, Producer Poo, what's up with you? Yeah, I
- 5:41Speaker 1: think I got a tapeworm.
- 5:43Speaker 8: A tapeworm?
- 5:44Speaker 1: Yeah, here's the reason why. So yesterday was my sister's...
- 5:46Speaker 1: Because you're hungry all the time?
- 5:48Speaker 9: Yeah, my sister's birthday was yesterday. We took her out
- 5:50Speaker 9: to Osaka over there in Saksie.
- 5:53Speaker 6: Osaka?
- 5:54Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 5:54Speaker 1: Osaka? Yeah, Osaka. It's a hibachi grill. Yum. Look, I
- 5:59Speaker 1: got edamame.
- 6:01Speaker 8: Okay.
- 6:01Speaker 1: Yakitori. Who? Sashimi. Sashimi? And some calamari.
- 6:06Speaker 6: Yum.
- 6:07Speaker 1: And then a California roll. And then a little bit
- 6:09Speaker 1: of fried rice.
- 6:10Speaker 8: God, good Lord.
- 6:11Speaker 1: But, I mean, I didn't eat the majority of that, but, yes,
- 6:13Speaker 1: I did. Good.
- 6:14Speaker 6: All for you, or were you guys sharing all that?
- 6:16Speaker 9: No, the majority was for me, because I worked up
- 6:19Speaker 9: an appetite being with Billy.
- 6:22Speaker 1: At the Sheriff's County thing.
- 6:24Speaker 9: But after I got done, we got done about 8.30
- 6:28Speaker 9: or so, dropped everybody off.
- 6:30Speaker 1: Tell me why I went through Whataburger. Oh, come on.
- 6:35Speaker 1: It was like I didn't even eat.
- 6:37Speaker 9: But I did good. I didn't get a burger. I
- 6:41Speaker 9: got grilled chicken. And I took off the bun.
- 6:44Speaker 1: It doesn't matter. And ate the chicken.
- 6:45Speaker 6: You just got some protein.
- 6:47Speaker 1: Yeah, but I was hungry. Okay, poop. It was like
- 6:50Speaker 1: I didn't eat all that.
- 6:51Speaker 9: What time did you eat sushi at? 7, 15.
- 6:55Speaker 1: We stayed there until about... What time is it? Then
- 6:57Speaker 1: you ate a Whataburger after? There's not even time enough. Yeah,
- 6:59Speaker 1: I dropped everybody. Dropped the kids off. Dropped my sister off.
- 7:02Speaker 1: On the way home from dinner, you ate dinner. Yes.
- 7:04Speaker 9: That's what I'm trying to tell you. I think there's
- 7:06Speaker 9: something wrong with me. I need to check it out
- 7:08Speaker 9: because I shouldn't.
- 7:09Speaker 1: Have been that hungry.
- 7:10Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 7:10Speaker 1: But a head of mommy and all that don't fill
- 7:12Speaker 1: you up. You got BBS.
- 7:14Speaker 4: Who?
- 7:14Speaker 6: You need to drink water.
- 7:14Speaker 1: You got BBS. What's a BBS?
- 7:16Speaker 2: What's that?
- 7:17Speaker 1: Big Back Syndrome.
- 7:17Speaker 5: What? The new Mix 102.9.
- 7:22Speaker 2: It's Texas Top Stories on the 10s with Billy the
- 7:25Speaker 2: Kid in the Morning.
- 7:26Speaker 5: Only on the new Mix 102.9.
- 7:28Speaker 1: Candace Lopez, what is going on over there?
- 7:31Speaker 7: Well, the Plano City Council approved the school's School districts
- 7:34Speaker 7: plans to contribute.
- 7:35Speaker 6: Up to $ 250.
- 7:37Speaker 7: Million in tax revenue to help fund the new Dallas
- 7:40Speaker 7: Stars Arena. This agreement would allow Plano ISC to have
- 7:43Speaker 7: graduation ceremonies and other events at the arena. I think
- 7:47Speaker 7: right now high schools are doing those at the Star
- 7:50Speaker 7: in Frisco.
- 7:51Speaker 6: So that would be interesting.
- 7:52Speaker 7: But some residents say they don't understand why we would
- 7:55Speaker 7: want to spend our tax dollars that should go to schools.
- 7:58Speaker 7: in a time where schools are closing due to attendance
- 8:01Speaker 7: and a challenged budget.
- 8:02Speaker 1: That's what I was confused by. I'm not a Plano resident.
- 8:04Speaker 1: I'm next door in Carrollton, but I've lived in Plano before,
- 8:06Speaker 1: and I was like, this is a lot of money
- 8:08Speaker 1: to be thrown at an arena that I feel like
- 8:10Speaker 1: should be paid for with other dollars.
- 8:13Speaker 6: Right.
- 8:13Speaker 7: And that agreement would go, you know, that money is
- 8:16Speaker 7: coming for 25 years to the possible Dallas Stars arena.
- 8:20Speaker 6: But it's just a lot of back and forth right now.
- 8:23Speaker 7: Considering they don't have, you know, exact plans for what
- 8:26Speaker 7: the arena would be like.
- 8:27Speaker 1: What gets me so upset about it is if you
- 8:30Speaker 1: have that much money, millions of dollars, take a couple million.
- 8:35Speaker 1: Take a few million and pay the teachers.
- 8:38Speaker 8: Right.
- 8:38Speaker 1: What are we doing? Right.
- 8:40Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 8:40Speaker 1: Why do teachers have to go on Amazon and get
- 8:44Speaker 1: necessities that they need if we're paying for a hockey arena?
- 8:47Speaker 6: Right.
- 8:48Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 8:48Speaker 5: It's a little silly.
- 8:49Speaker 1: Why is that getting me so upset? I don't know
- 8:51Speaker 1: why it gets me so mad. I'm like, why are we?
- 8:53Speaker 7: People are very passionate about this whole project for multiple reasons.
- 8:57Speaker 1: What's 10 million?
- 8:58Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 8:58Speaker 1: If you're spending $ 250 million. Take $ 10 million. Pay the
- 9:01Speaker 1: teachers more. Get them what they need. Make them happy.
- 9:06Speaker 1: That in turn will make the kids happy and more
- 9:08Speaker 1: educated and better educated.
- 9:10Speaker 6: Yeah, yeah, it's a no-brainer.
- 9:12Speaker 7: If you ask me, I don't live in Plano, but
- 9:14Speaker 7: I'll definitely keep you posted.
- 9:16Speaker 6: Guys, you want some cool food news this morning?
- 9:18Speaker 1: Please, yes.
- 9:19Speaker 7: Wingstop says they are going all in this Halloween with
- 9:22Speaker 7: their new Sour Patch Kids-inspired wing flavor.
- 9:25Speaker 6: Do we need this, guys? It's called Wicked Punch.
- 9:28Speaker 7: It's basically sour, then sweet. It's like a red berry
- 9:33Speaker 7: glaze with, you know, the Sour Patch Kids bits, and
- 9:36Speaker 7: then they would add this to wings, tenders, or chicken sandwiches.
- 9:41Speaker 1: You know, it's one of those weird things that you're like,
- 9:43Speaker 1: that sounds gross, but watch it be great.
- 9:45Speaker 5: Right.
- 9:45Speaker 6: I kind of want to try it.
- 9:46Speaker 1: And poo, really? You're saying gross? You literally eat Sour
- 9:51Speaker 1: Patch Kids every day. Sour Patch on my chicken? On
- 9:54Speaker 1: my chicken wings? I just don't know.
- 9:56Speaker 6: Be better than you think i.
- 9:58Speaker 1: Mean i'm thinking of sweet and sour chicken like a
- 10:00Speaker 1: chinese restaurant okay yeah now i'm down sweet and sour
- 10:02Speaker 1: chicken's good yeah i'd be.
- 10:04Speaker 7: Down with the glaze now the little bits of sour
- 10:06Speaker 7: patch kids i don't know if i'm if i.
- 10:08Speaker 9: Need that i don't need that on my yeah you can.
- 10:12Speaker 7: Try it soon though it's available to club wing stop
- 10:14Speaker 7: members october 23rd the nationwide october 27th uh it just
- 10:18Speaker 7: lasts like a week or so though november 5th it's
- 10:20Speaker 7: gone So just a heads up. And real quick, guys,
- 10:24Speaker 7: we need to get up to speed with this Kelly
- 10:25Speaker 7: Clarkson and the singing bird drama.
- 10:28Speaker 1: Wow. She's been in.
- 10:29Speaker 7: This public dispute with the store in Brooklyn.
- 10:32Speaker 6: This is like the wildest beef.
- 10:35Speaker 7: So to get you caught up Saturday, Kelly posted online
- 10:37Speaker 7: accusing this store.
- 10:39Speaker 6: It's called Art of Play.
- 10:40Speaker 7: She accused them of basically treating her like she couldn't
- 10:43Speaker 7: afford a $ 15, 000 mechanical bird. She claimed employees were rude
- 10:48Speaker 7: to her and lied about the price of the bird.
- 10:50Speaker 7: The store owner is now responding, you know, saying this
- 10:53Speaker 7: bird wasn't for sale. This was all a misunderstanding. Well,
- 10:58Speaker 7: then Kelly shot back posting a photo where you can
- 11:00Speaker 7: see the price tag. Next to the bird calling them out,
- 11:04Speaker 7: the store owner is now speaking out, though.
- 11:06Speaker 1: Yeah, and he went on, and I guess he's saying
- 11:08Speaker 1: he's getting death threats. And the funny part was is
- 11:12Speaker 1: I just look at this whole story and go, these
- 11:14Speaker 1: are two rich people fighting over ridiculous rich people stuff.
- 11:17Speaker 6: Right, it's a mechanical singing bird.
- 11:20Speaker 1: It's a $ 15, 000 mechanical bird, and what are we doing?
- 11:23Speaker 1: You know I'm going to ride for Kelly no matter what.
- 11:25Speaker 1: She's from Texas.
- 11:26Speaker 6: Yeah, no, I get it.
- 11:27Speaker 7: He's saying, you know, she was upset she didn't get
- 11:29Speaker 7: special treatment. And now, you know, if someone walks in
- 11:32Speaker 7: with $ 15 million, they'll sell the bird.
- 11:34Speaker 1: $ 15 million? Yes. I'll kick that bird across a tollway.
- 11:37Speaker 1: So I think some of the— It's not real. I'm
- 11:40Speaker 1: going to get a real bird for $ 15 million.
- 11:43Speaker 7: The misunderstanding was that she could have that bird made
- 11:46Speaker 7: for her for $ 15, 000, but that specific bird named Molly
- 11:50Speaker 7: in the store was not for sale. So I think
- 11:53Speaker 7: that's kind of where it kind of escalated.
- 11:55Speaker 9: Okay.
- 11:55Speaker 1: Well, the store owner said this.
- 11:56Speaker 10: We are afraid for the safety of our shopkeepers. Kelly
- 11:59Speaker 10: Clarkson has put us in danger. Not just our people
- 12:02Speaker 10: showing up in person, but our neighbors are getting doxxed
- 12:07Speaker 10: and review bombed. People are getting threatened on the street.
- 12:10Speaker 10: And the worst part is nothing happened in this shop
- 12:14Speaker 10: to justify her scolding our shopkeeper on.
- 12:17Speaker 1: The way out. But I could let that go. Things
- 12:19Speaker 1: changed dramatically.
- 12:20Speaker 10: When she used her platform to attack us it's just
- 12:23Speaker 10: it's asymmetrical.
- 12:24Speaker 7: Social warfare social warfare that's an interesting review bombed i've
- 12:29Speaker 7: never heard of that review yeah i mean.
- 12:32Speaker 6: I mean she has a lot of power.
- 12:33Speaker 1: I mean apparently more than we thought.
- 12:35Speaker 7: People don't think about that when they post you know
- 12:38Speaker 7: i remember like trying to call out places on twitter
- 12:40Speaker 7: back and they like everyone wants to call out the
- 12:41Speaker 7: airlines and whatever and someone had to tell me like hey,
- 12:44Speaker 7: maybe that's not a good idea to call them out
- 12:46Speaker 7: on Twitter.
- 12:47Speaker 1: Yeah, I'm sure.
- 12:47Speaker 6: When you're just venting, you know.
- 12:48Speaker 1: The thing about Kelly is she's rich, she's powerful, but
- 12:52Speaker 1: she's also just like a Texas girl that's sometimes like,
- 12:55Speaker 1: that's ridiculous the way they treated me and wants to
- 12:56Speaker 1: say something. Right. So she was upset, like a normal
- 12:59Speaker 1: person would be upset. Her platform just happens to be
- 13:02Speaker 1: way bigger than ours.
- 13:03Speaker 7: Yeah, and we weren't there to hear how she was
- 13:05Speaker 7: treated in the store or what the employee said, you know.
- 13:08Speaker 6: So that's her take.
- 13:09Speaker 1: I'm sure.
- 13:09Speaker 6: That's all we have.
- 13:10Speaker 1: She didn't think it was going to blow up like this.
- 13:11Speaker 2: Yeah, for sure.
- 13:12Speaker 8: For sure.
- 13:12Speaker 1: I mean, this thing is ridiculous. This is rich people stuff.
- 13:16Speaker 1: Problems that come to the real world, guys.
- 13:18Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 13:19Speaker 1: Who cares about this stupid bird? Right. That bird sucks.
- 13:22Speaker 5: No.
- 13:23Speaker 1: You couldn't give me $ 15, 000 to take that bird. The
- 13:26Speaker 1: bird annoys me.
- 13:27Speaker 8: Did you see it?
- 13:29Speaker 2: I did.
- 13:30Speaker 1: It's cute.
- 13:30Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 13:30Speaker 1: It's not cute. It's ugly.
- 13:32Speaker 8: It's cute.
- 13:32Speaker 1: All right. I'm Candace Lopez.
- 13:33Speaker 6: Those are your Texas Top Stories.
- 13:37Speaker 1: Is that from Armageddon, right?
- 13:38Speaker 5: Yes.
- 13:39Speaker 1: I've never seen that movie, but still.
- 13:41Speaker 5: What?
- 13:41Speaker 1: I know. Don't make fun of me.
- 13:43Speaker 6: It's everything in high school.
- 13:45Speaker 1: It's Mix 102.9, Ability Kid, Candace Lopez, Pooh. I don't
- 13:50Speaker 1: remember that movie. I mean, I remember it being the
- 13:53Speaker 1: song in that movie, but I've never seen Armageddon.
- 13:56Speaker 2: I know.
- 13:56Speaker 1: I messed up. Either way. You want me to put
- 13:58Speaker 1: that on my list of things I'm going to watch?
- 13:59Speaker 5: Yes.
- 14:00Speaker 1: Armageddon. What's it about? Armageddon? Yes, kind of. Don't spoil it.
- 14:05Speaker 1: You already spoiled Titanic for me before I saw it.
- 14:08Speaker 6: I'm sure I spoiled that.
- 14:09Speaker 1: Let's hook you up. Smashing Pumpkins. We're going to be
- 14:11Speaker 1: out at Thrillvania, which is such a good place. It's
- 14:14Speaker 1: so much fun. It's going to be the perfect day.
- 14:16Speaker 1: We get to smash pumpkins, get some prizes. So you
- 14:18Speaker 1: got to win your spot. Who's this?
- 14:20Speaker 11: Tiffany.
- 14:21Speaker 1: Tiffany, what's up? You're caller number one. Tiffany, congratulations.
- 14:24Speaker 6: No way.
- 14:25Speaker 1: Yeah, congrats. Where are you from?
- 14:28Speaker 7: McKinney, Texas.
- 14:29Speaker 1: Well, congratulations. Yeah, you got some passives to come out
- 14:32Speaker 1: and smash some pumpkins with us. So you can win
- 14:34Speaker 1: some more prizes when you're there, too. Yeah. What are
- 14:38Speaker 1: you doing right now? Going to work?
- 14:39Speaker 8: Driving to work.
- 14:40Speaker 1: What do you do?
- 14:42Speaker 11: Work at a dealership in North Richland Hills.
- 14:45Speaker 1: Oh, you got to drive then. Good Lord.
- 14:47Speaker 8: Good Lord.
- 14:49Speaker 1: Yes. Well, they're getting that new airport in McKinney. So
- 14:52Speaker 1: how do you feel about that? You can just fly
- 14:54Speaker 1: to North Richland Hills. Yeah, pretty much, right?
- 14:57Speaker 6: Like an airplane.
- 14:58Speaker 8: Seriously.
- 14:59Speaker 1: Well, please drive safe. Stay right there so we can
- 15:01Speaker 1: hook you up.
- 15:02Speaker 8: Awesome.
- 15:02Speaker 3: Thank you so much.
- 15:03Speaker 1: You're welcome. Oh, yeah. We'll have more spots to win
- 15:06Speaker 1: this afternoon with Zan at 4 o'clock if you want
- 15:08Speaker 1: to smash some pumpkins. Are you ready for real or
- 15:11Speaker 1: fake news?
- 15:11Speaker 4: Yep.
- 15:12Speaker 1: Let's do it. I'm going to give you three headlines.
- 15:14Speaker 1: You've got to tell me which one is the fake
- 15:16Speaker 1: one out of the three. And the news is crazy.
- 15:19Speaker 1: Headline number one, college professor charged for putting urine on
- 15:23Speaker 1: student's backpack.
- 15:25Speaker 6: What?
- 15:26Speaker 1: Yep. Hate when that happens. College professor charged for putting
- 15:31Speaker 1: urine on a student's backpack. Headline number two. Airport passenger
- 15:35Speaker 1: misses flight after refusing to abandon 11 pounds of frozen
- 15:39Speaker 1: brisket at security. Airport passenger misses flight after refusing to
- 15:45Speaker 1: abandon 11 pounds of frozen brisket at security. Headline number three.
- 15:50Speaker 1: Woman was forgotten at a doctor's office and was trapped
- 15:54Speaker 1: inside for the night. Woman was forgotten at a doctor's
- 15:59Speaker 1: office and was trapped inside for the night. Three headlines
- 16:04Speaker 1: right there. You got to tell me, which one do
- 16:05Speaker 1: you think is the fake headline? Candace, we let you
- 16:09Speaker 1: pick first. You can choose to go or you could
- 16:11Speaker 1: pass it to Pooh.
- 16:13Speaker 6: This is so hard today.
- 16:14Speaker 7: My gut was telling me to go with the pee backpack,
- 16:17Speaker 7: but I'm going against my gut and going.
- 16:18Speaker 6: With the frozen brisket story.
- 16:20Speaker 4: Really?
- 16:20Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 16:21Speaker 1: Okay.
- 16:21Speaker 6: Lock me in for that second one.
- 16:22Speaker 1: You don't think somebody would leave frozen brisket at a
- 16:25Speaker 1: security checkpoint at the airport?
- 16:26Speaker 6: 11 pounds?
- 16:27Speaker 1: Depends on where it's from.
- 16:29Speaker 8: True.
- 16:30Speaker 1: You know what I'm saying? Like if it's Hutchins brisket,
- 16:32Speaker 1: I'm not abandoning it. Yeah, I'm missing my flight. I'm
- 16:35Speaker 1: missing everything. I'm driving to wherever I got to go.
- 16:37Speaker 8: Okay.
- 16:37Speaker 1: Okay, but you are locked in.
- 16:38Speaker 6: Thank you.
- 16:39Speaker 1: All right, Producer Poo, which one do you think is
- 16:42Speaker 1: the fake story?
- 16:44Speaker 9: Let's go with that last story. I don't think somebody
- 16:46Speaker 9: could get left in a doctor's office that long.
- 16:48Speaker 1: Really? Yeah, they check out all the rooms before you leave.
- 16:52Speaker 9: Okay.
- 16:52Speaker 1: Yeah. Lock me in. Are you sure?
- 16:54Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 16:55Speaker 1: People make mistakes, though. That's a big mistake.
- 16:58Speaker 5: All right.
- 16:58Speaker 1: Just leave me in there. Lock me in. You are
- 17:03Speaker 1: locked in. Officially. And the winner today is....
- 17:08Speaker 5: Candice! Candice!
- 17:14Speaker 1: And you're good at this game. You're killing it again.
- 17:16Speaker 1: She's back.
- 17:17Speaker 4: Thanks.
- 17:18Speaker 1: Airport passenger misses flight after refusing to abandon 11 pounds
- 17:21Speaker 1: of frozen brisket is a fake story that I made up.
- 17:24Speaker 1: There you go. You were right, Candace, once again. Let's
- 17:28Speaker 1: get to the real stories. Which one do you want first?
- 17:30Speaker 6: The pee backpack.
- 17:31Speaker 1: You want the pee backpack?
- 17:32Speaker 2: I got to know.
- 17:32Speaker 5: All right.
- 17:33Speaker 1: Let me get to that one. Pee backpack. Here you go.
- 17:35Speaker 1: College professor charged for putting urine on a student's backpack. Yeah.
- 17:42Speaker 1: A former Macalester College professor faces a felony property damage
- 17:46Speaker 1: charge after urine damaged a student's backpack last year. Now
- 17:50Speaker 1: he's facing the charges now. His name is Paul Fisher.
- 17:52Speaker 1: He allegedly told police he had a habit of urinating
- 17:55Speaker 1: into cups and emptying them into the campus trash cans
- 17:58Speaker 1: or sinks.
- 17:59Speaker 8: A habit?
- 18:00Speaker 1: Yeah. I hate when that happens. I can't stop doing it.
- 18:04Speaker 1: He said he might have accidentally spilled some on the
- 18:07Speaker 1: bag while disposing of a cup near the office. The
- 18:10Speaker 1: student reported about $ 2, 000 in damage.
- 18:13Speaker 11: What?
- 18:14Speaker 1: On a backpack?
- 18:15Speaker 6: Was there a laptop in there or something?
- 18:16Speaker 1: I don't know. Investigators found six earlier reports of urine
- 18:20Speaker 1: in unusual places on campus. Turns out when they checked
- 18:24Speaker 1: the cameras, Fisher was just peeing everywhere. Yeah, and leaving
- 18:29Speaker 1: the cups just all over the place. He resigned during
- 18:33Speaker 1: the college's investigation, and he faces up to five years
- 18:35Speaker 1: in prison if convicted, which he won't get. Everybody relax.
- 18:40Speaker 1: But still, you can't just, come on, what are you doing?
- 18:42Speaker 7: Don't you know there's a restroom on campus, sir?
- 18:46Speaker 1: I know, but you know what the thing is? Professors
- 18:48Speaker 1: and people like that that are very smart, they're quirky. Like,
- 18:51Speaker 1: he's a very smart, very intelligent man.
- 18:54Speaker 7: Right, so he should be smart enough to walk to
- 18:55Speaker 7: the restroom.
- 18:56Speaker 1: I know. Candace, I get it, but that's why I like.
- 18:58Speaker 6: Go pee-pee in the potty.
- 18:59Speaker 1: Yeah, I know. I learned that, too, and I had
- 19:01Speaker 1: Cheerios in there, and I was hitting the Cheerios. Good job.
- 19:04Speaker 1: So I wouldn't hit the toilet seat. Oh, wow. But
- 19:06Speaker 1: there's some very smart people who can't even tie their
- 19:08Speaker 1: own shoes. Like, you know, Albert Einstein. They say he
- 19:11Speaker 1: couldn't tie his shoes.
- 19:12Speaker 5: What?
- 19:13Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 19:13Speaker 1: Really? Yeah, you never heard that?
- 19:15Speaker 5: No.
- 19:15Speaker 1: So, I know Pooh is very intelligent. Thank you. Look,
- 19:19Speaker 1: I appreciate that. He can't... That's why he wears Velcro shoes.
- 19:22Speaker 5: Oh, no!
- 19:24Speaker 1: Slip-ons? Yeah, that's why it was those Skechers slip-ons.
- 19:29Speaker 6: So convenient.
- 19:30Speaker 1: Unk Force Ones. All right, a woman was forgotten at
- 19:35Speaker 1: a doctor's office and got trapped inside for the night.
- 19:39Speaker 5: How?
- 19:39Speaker 1: This sounds like a scary movie for real. So I
- 19:42Speaker 1: guess she suffered an asthma attack. She went to urgent care.
- 19:47Speaker 1: This was in New Hampshire. She had been exposed to
- 19:49Speaker 1: a catapult. and she's allergic to cats okay everything was
- 19:53Speaker 1: fine at first they gave her a shot they said
- 19:55Speaker 1: to just hey listen hang tight we're gonna be back
- 19:56Speaker 1: to check on you nobody returned about an hour and
- 20:01Speaker 1: a half later she starts getting a little bit restless
- 20:04Speaker 1: she's like I don't know what's going on let me
- 20:05Speaker 1: see what's happening she popped her head out the door
- 20:08Speaker 1: and Everything's dark. Everyone's gone. Yep. She had to call
- 20:16Speaker 1: 911 because she couldn't figure out how to get out
- 20:19Speaker 1: of the urgent care. So police came. They rescued her. Whatever.
- 20:24Speaker 1: She's fine. She did not suffer another asthma attack. She's
- 20:27Speaker 1: all good, but She said she probably won't be going
- 20:30Speaker 1: back to that urgent care.
- 20:31Speaker 6: I wouldn't either.
- 20:32Speaker 1: Isn't that insane? Yeah. Like this is urgent care. But
- 20:36Speaker 1: those urgent cares I feel like are everywhere now.
- 20:38Speaker 5: Right.
- 20:39Speaker 6: And you're waiting for a long time.
- 20:41Speaker 1: When I broke my hand, I'm not even kidding you.
- 20:43Speaker 1: I had to go out and check. I thought I
- 20:45Speaker 1: got locked in. Right. Because nobody came back. And I
- 20:48Speaker 1: was like, is anybody here? And there was nobody. And
- 20:52Speaker 1: when I went to the surgery, there was not one
- 20:53Speaker 1: car in the parking lot. Not one. So I was like,
- 20:57Speaker 1: maybe it's closed. Then I opened the door open. She
- 20:59Speaker 1: was like, oh, hey, welcome in. And I was like,
- 21:02Speaker 1: is anybody else here? She's like, I'm like, it seems
- 21:05Speaker 1: kind of slow. She's like, no, I mean, it's pretty average.
- 21:08Speaker 8: Oh, wow.
- 21:09Speaker 1: An hour and a half later, like, are you ready
- 21:11Speaker 1: to get x-rays? Yeah, my bone's sticking out of my hand.
- 21:15Speaker 1: Are you ready?
- 21:16Speaker 6: For sure.
- 21:17Speaker 1: Good Lord. Okay, Pooh went. Well, you know what? Actually,
- 21:20Speaker 1: I don't know if Pooh went on a date 100% yet. Oh, yeah,
- 21:22Speaker 1: I don't either. So we had an update because the
- 21:25Speaker 1: girl stood him up on the weekend, but then she
- 21:27Speaker 1: reached out and said she did want to hang out,
- 21:29Speaker 1: made the effort. Can we figure out what's happening with
- 21:32Speaker 1: that coming up next? Yeah. Yes, we can. Pooh's love life.
- 21:35Speaker 1: It's almost as scary as real or fake news.
- 21:37Speaker 8: Oh, God.
- 21:39Speaker 5: We'll do it next. The new Mix 102.9.
- 21:46Speaker 1: Thankfully, Ella's okay. It's Mix 102.9. Bill and the Kid,
- 21:49Speaker 1: Candace Lopez, Producer Pooh. Did you see, though, on Friday
- 21:52Speaker 1: they had to cancel their show because there was a
- 21:54Speaker 1: security threat in Tulsa. Yeah. And I felt so bad
- 21:58Speaker 1: because I was gone. I had left to go to
- 21:59Speaker 1: ACL because they called me up there. I know.
- 22:01Speaker 6: She could have used you in the Tarrant.
- 22:03Speaker 1: County Sheriff's Department. I know.
- 22:05Speaker 5: Yes.
- 22:06Speaker 11: In Tulsa.
- 22:06Speaker 1: They got jurisdiction way up there.
- 22:08Speaker 8: Yeah, for sure.
- 22:08Speaker 1: They don't, but when you're special ops, you roam.
- 22:12Speaker 6: Yeah, you can get paged to go anywhere, right?
- 22:14Speaker 1: Exactly.
- 22:15Speaker 9: Oh, that means special opportunity to, you know. Something like that.
- 22:19Speaker 1: To disperse something. Yeah.
- 22:20Speaker 9: Okay.
- 22:21Speaker 1: I was going to go up there, but I just
- 22:22Speaker 1: couldn't because I had other security threats at ACL that
- 22:24Speaker 1: I didn't. But obviously there was no issues, so. No,
- 22:28Speaker 1: we were training yesterday. I say we were training. With
- 22:32Speaker 1: the Tarrant County Sheriff's Department, so thank you to Sergeant Opta. Oh,
- 22:35Speaker 1: it was so much fun, Candace. I loved it.
- 22:37Speaker 6: Sounds like it.
- 22:39Speaker 1: We got tased. It was so awesome. Those gloves, they
- 22:42Speaker 1: have gloves that tase you. Oh, my God. Jeez, those things.
- 22:47Speaker 6: So wild.
- 22:47Speaker 1: If Pooh got tased, I was going to get tased.
- 22:50Speaker 8: Yeah, he did.
- 22:51Speaker 4: So we did.
- 22:51Speaker 1: I was like, wow. It was fun.
- 22:53Speaker 6: Where did they tase you at? On your arm?
- 22:55Speaker 1: In the arm.
- 22:55Speaker 9: Oh, no.
- 22:56Speaker 1: I did not play it. The canine dog was out there.
- 23:00Speaker 1: The SWAT truck was out there. I think I'm going
- 23:03Speaker 1: to go work for them soon.
- 23:04Speaker 7: Well, like I said, at 10, you're free to go
- 23:06Speaker 7: to Tarrant County.
- 23:07Speaker 1: All right. So I can be a superhero.
- 23:09Speaker 6: We just need you here until 10.
- 23:10Speaker 1: After 10?
- 23:11Speaker 4: Right.
- 23:11Speaker 1: All right. Gotcha. Then put on your cape. But thank
- 23:14Speaker 1: you to them. It was incredible. Also, then we left there,
- 23:16Speaker 1: and I've been dying to know if Pooh, because yesterday
- 23:19Speaker 1: before we left, so he was going to go on
- 23:20Speaker 1: this date. On Saturday. The date canceled. She canceled last minute,
- 23:25Speaker 1: like an hour and a half beforehand. He was irritated
- 23:27Speaker 1: because she didn't really say why. It was last minute.
- 23:30Speaker 1: Then she reached out the other day, which I was like, oh,
- 23:32Speaker 1: good for her for reaching out.
- 23:34Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 23:34Speaker 1: And trying to reschedule it. She put in the effort.
- 23:36Speaker 6: She didn't completely ghost you.
- 23:37Speaker 1: Right. But then there was a dilemma because you had
- 23:39Speaker 1: your sister's birthday yesterday. So you were like, well, I
- 23:41Speaker 1: don't know if I can meet because she gave you
- 23:42Speaker 1: like a window to meet. Yeah.
- 23:44Speaker 9: From 5 to 630. And I'm coming from Fort Worth.
- 23:48Speaker 9: For the training, it was just like, wow.
- 23:50Speaker 1: But people are busy, so I don't look at that
- 23:52Speaker 1: as a thing that's like a red flag.
- 23:54Speaker 6: Adulting is hard.
- 23:55Speaker 1: Yeah, she's a mom, first of all. But you're a mom.
- 23:58Speaker 1: You got stuff you got to do. It is what
- 24:00Speaker 1: it is. I take that into consideration.
- 24:02Speaker 9: Plus, I wasn't, honestly, I wasn't going to go because
- 24:05Speaker 9: she didn't respond to me when she said something came up.
- 24:08Speaker 1: And I said, well, let me know if you need anything.
- 24:10Speaker 1: And then that was it. It was crickets.
- 24:11Speaker 9: And even people online were like, poo, don't go because
- 24:15Speaker 9: she ghosted you.
- 24:16Speaker 1: She didn't ghost you. Like Tracy online and Lisa. Everybody
- 24:20Speaker 1: hit me up. Okay. Well, that's cool. And I love that.
- 24:22Speaker 1: But ghosting is when you don't hear from her. You
- 24:25Speaker 1: heard from her.
- 24:26Speaker 6: That's true.
- 24:27Speaker 1: So you didn't get ghosted. She told you something came up.
- 24:30Speaker 1: And in fairness to her, you didn't ask her. What
- 24:33Speaker 1: came up? And good, because you shouldn't. I wasn't going
- 24:36Speaker 1: to ask. Well, but why do you expect an answer
- 24:38Speaker 1: to something you tell me? Hey. Did you go on
- 24:41Speaker 1: the date? Yes, we did. Yesterday? Yeah, we met up yesterday.
- 24:44Speaker 8: You did?
- 24:45Speaker 1: Yeah, we did meet up yesterday.
- 24:46Speaker 6: Yay.
- 24:47Speaker 1: So how'd it go? You went for coffee? What did
- 24:49Speaker 1: you do? Yes, we did go for coffee. Okay. Yeah.
- 24:52Speaker 9: And?
- 24:53Speaker 1: We talked and stuff, and she did. I will give
- 24:56Speaker 1: her this. She did tell me what came up, and
- 24:59Speaker 1: it did have something to do with her kids. Good.
- 25:01Speaker 5: Good.
- 25:02Speaker 1: Good call on that, Candace.
- 25:03Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 25:03Speaker 1: She did tell me. Okay. Why are you so stuck
- 25:06Speaker 1: on that? Because, dude, I just, look, I've been single
- 25:11Speaker 1: for a long time. We know.
- 25:13Speaker 9: And, you know, this is hard for me to just
- 25:16Speaker 9: put myself out there.
- 25:17Speaker 1: I'll be honest with you.
- 25:18Speaker 5: Okay.
- 25:18Speaker 9: You know, and I just don't want to, I don't
- 25:20Speaker 9: want to be one of the victims that get ghosted,
- 25:22Speaker 9: you know?
- 25:22Speaker 1: You didn't get ghosted. I know, but. All right. Well, good.
- 25:26Speaker 1: I feel like I deserve an explanation. You know what
- 25:30Speaker 1: I mean? Okay.
- 25:30Speaker 9: So anyway, we talked. And laughed and stuff. And we're
- 25:35Speaker 9: going to go out on an actual dinner.
- 25:37Speaker 1: Date next week.
- 25:38Speaker 6: Oh, good.
- 25:39Speaker 1: Okay, that's good. Yeah. Well, it sounded like it went well. Yeah,
- 25:42Speaker 1: it's not going to be any wedding bells or anything
- 25:44Speaker 1: like any time soon. Well, you don't know that. Why not?
- 25:46Speaker 1: Would you never get married? You've never been married. I've
- 25:48Speaker 1: never been married. So would you never get married ever?
- 25:51Speaker 1: I probably would if I felt, yeah. the right person,
- 25:53Speaker 1: I probably would. Well, then why would you say there's no...
- 25:55Speaker 1: Stop being so negative about it.
- 25:56Speaker 7: I think he's just being realistic and saying we're not
- 25:59Speaker 7: moving fast.
- 25:59Speaker 6: This is like one... We've had one coffee.
- 26:01Speaker 1: No, I mean, and that's the way it should be.
- 26:03Speaker 1: That's fine. Hey, kudos to her. She did pay for
- 26:06Speaker 1: your boy's coffee. Oh, see, that's tacky. I was trying
- 26:09Speaker 1: to pay.
- 26:09Speaker 5: Whoa.
- 26:10Speaker 1: I knew he was going to say I didn't want
- 26:11Speaker 1: to tell you. Did she feel guilty, though?
- 26:12Speaker 6: Was it because she felt.
- 26:13Speaker 8: Guilty about canceling?
- 26:13Speaker 9: I didn't want to tell Billy that, but yeah, she did.
- 26:15Speaker 9: She's like, let me pay. I owe you that much.
- 26:18Speaker 1: I was like, no, I got it, girl. I can
- 26:20Speaker 1: pay for coffee.
- 26:20Speaker 7: Good for her.
- 26:21Speaker 1: Yeah. Listen, when Pooh says, I got it, girl, the
- 26:26Speaker 1: difference between Pooh and I saying that is I'm jumping
- 26:29Speaker 1: in front of her at the register. Pooh's six feet
- 26:32Speaker 1: back like it's still COVID. Going, oh, no, don't. Please don't. Stop.
- 26:39Speaker 1: Not even reaching for his wallet.
- 26:40Speaker 2: Don't, don't, don't.
- 26:41Speaker 1: You let her pay? Yeah, she paid.
- 26:43Speaker 9: She threw it out real quick. And I told her, oh,
- 26:46Speaker 9: that's embarrassing. And the girl was like, no, no. The
- 26:50Speaker 9: girl behind the counter, she was like, Hey, let her pay.
- 26:53Speaker 9: She's a strong, independent lady.
- 26:55Speaker 1: I was like, okay, all right. I'm not saying it's
- 26:58Speaker 1: the end of the world, but it just wouldn't be
- 26:59Speaker 1: my move. But hey, it doesn't matter.
- 27:00Speaker 6: You definitely got to pay for the dinner date next.
- 27:02Speaker 9: Oh, yeah, I got that. Now I'm going to need
- 27:04Speaker 9: some dinner suggestions. But hey, I'm going to tell you,
- 27:07Speaker 9: we had a long, thorough talk. I will say that.
- 27:09Speaker 9: Thorough talk.
- 27:10Speaker 5: Good.
- 27:10Speaker 7: Thorough?
- 27:11Speaker 1: Yeah, thorough, because she was asking, you know, what do
- 27:13Speaker 1: I expect? Oh, that's a lot. Single parents, you know,
- 27:17Speaker 1: we got to make sure. There ain't no flags waving.
- 27:20Speaker 7: Well.
- 27:21Speaker 1: You know, that's interesting, but what? What was, you know
- 27:24Speaker 1: what I'm saying? Like, what do you mean? You're on
- 27:26Speaker 1: a coffee date. How much are you going to get? Like,
- 27:28Speaker 1: you guys are diving in deep, it sounds, which could
- 27:31Speaker 1: be good or bad.
- 27:31Speaker 9: Yeah, I mean, we utilized that whole hour. We talked
- 27:35Speaker 9: for about an hour and 15 minutes. Did she sit
- 27:37Speaker 9: you down with a PowerPoint?
- 27:39Speaker 6: There's something I'm looking for. Here's what I expect you
- 27:41Speaker 6: to do.
- 27:41Speaker 1: All right, this is what I need.
- 27:42Speaker 6: Here's my boundaries.
- 27:44Speaker 1: This is what you need. It does happen, though, when
- 27:46Speaker 1: you get a little bit older. You're like, all right,
- 27:48Speaker 1: let's skip to all the crap.
- 27:49Speaker 6: Yeah, just put in an AI and see if this
- 27:50Speaker 6: is going to work or not.
- 27:53Speaker 1: I wish it was that easy. I wish. We have
- 27:56Speaker 1: a dirty little secret coming up at 730, which I'm
- 27:58Speaker 1: a little bit nervous about today. I hope I don't
- 28:00Speaker 1: regret this.
- 28:00Speaker 5: Bye.
- 28:01Speaker 1: Well, this guy, it's just his secret is interesting. I
- 28:05Speaker 1: wasn't going to put him on.
- 28:06Speaker 6: It's not about his wife.
- 28:06Speaker 1: No, it's about his ex. And that's what kind of
- 28:09Speaker 1: gets me. And I got to make sure it's not
- 28:10Speaker 1: too bad. But we'll do it at 730. Hopefully I
- 28:13Speaker 1: don't regret it.
- 28:13Speaker 2: It's Texas Top Stories on the 10s with Billy the
- 28:17Speaker 2: Kid in the Morning.
- 28:18Speaker 5: Only on the new Mix 102.9.
- 28:20Speaker 1: And then we got our cash cow coming up. So
- 28:22Speaker 1: if you want some money, there she is. There's Mudana.
- 28:26Speaker 1: Big old heifer. Yeah. Full of cash, though. So thousands
- 28:31Speaker 1: of dollars. First shot to win $ 1, 000. We'll do it
- 28:33Speaker 1: at like $ 840, and then we do it in the
- 28:35Speaker 1: $ 40s all day. So make sure you listen. Candace, what
- 28:37Speaker 1: is going on?
- 28:38Speaker 7: Well, Southlake is the latest city to crack down on e-bikes.
- 28:41Speaker 6: They're changing a lot.
- 28:42Speaker 7: So heads up, these new regulations have requirements for lights
- 28:45Speaker 7: and reflectors. Riders under 18 can't use mobile devices or
- 28:49Speaker 7: wear headphones while riding them. And then the speed limit
- 28:52Speaker 7: to ride on trails and sidewalks. It's now 15 miles
- 28:55Speaker 7: per hour. The helmet requirement is for everybody on the e-bike.
- 29:00Speaker 6: So if kids aren't.
- 29:01Speaker 7: Wearing them, then the kids or parents could be violating
- 29:05Speaker 7: the ordinance. And some of those come with fines of
- 29:07Speaker 7: up to $ 500.
- 29:09Speaker 6: So, yeah, put a helmet on if you're riding these e-bikes.
- 29:12Speaker 1: Adults don't have to wear them, though, do they?
- 29:14Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 29:14Speaker 6: All e-bike riders will have to wear them in Southlake.
- 29:17Speaker 1: But adults don't have to wear helmets on motorcycles.
- 29:19Speaker 6: It's crazy.
- 29:20Speaker 1: What is going on?
- 29:21Speaker 7: I mean, Southlake says they got around 100 complaints last
- 29:24Speaker 7: year just about e-bikes being ridden at night, which is true.
- 29:28Speaker 7: If you don't have lights or like reflectors, like sometimes
- 29:31Speaker 7: you can't see these kids on these e-bikes.
- 29:33Speaker 1: You got to have reflectors on a regular bike. Yeah,
- 29:36Speaker 1: I think by regulation. So, I mean, yeah, you want
- 29:38Speaker 1: to be safe, but. it makes no sense that you're
- 29:41Speaker 1: going to say, well, if I'm going to e-bike as
- 29:43Speaker 1: an adult, I have to wear a helmet. But I
- 29:45Speaker 1: could drive 70 down the tollway on a Harley and
- 29:48Speaker 1: I don't need a helmet. Yeah.
- 29:49Speaker 7: I mean, the whole thing is tricky. I don't like
- 29:52Speaker 7: these e-bikes. I see the kids riding them all the
- 29:54Speaker 7: time or like two or three kids on one e-bike.
- 29:56Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 29:56Speaker 6: Call me a granny or whatever.
- 29:58Speaker 7: But even like, you know, hospital staff always say like
- 30:00Speaker 7: these are dangerous. Majority of injuries we're seeing come in
- 30:04Speaker 7: are from e-bikes.
- 30:05Speaker 1: Yeah. You got to be careful. You definitely kids should
- 30:07Speaker 1: definitely wear a helmet. I wear a helmet when I
- 30:09Speaker 1: wear my son's. I mean, I'm just saying, or when
- 30:11Speaker 1: I ride my son's e-bike. But, yeah, you got to
- 30:14Speaker 1: be safe. But, I mean, we're getting a little too crazy.
- 30:16Speaker 6: Guys, listen to this.
- 30:17Speaker 7: Hundreds of supermarket refrigerator systems in France were hacked this week,
- 30:22Speaker 7: sparking fires and spoiling food. So these hackers were reportedly
- 30:27Speaker 7: able to remotely trigger the defrosting features in these markets
- 30:31Speaker 7: across the country.
- 30:32Speaker 5: What?
- 30:33Speaker 7: This is such a wild use of AI and hacking.
- 30:36Speaker 7: You just don't think about some of these things that
- 30:38Speaker 7: can be hacked until, like the impact until it happens.
- 30:41Speaker 1: Yeah, I mean, I have cameras in my fridge. Yeah, exactly.
- 30:43Speaker 5: Why do I do that?
- 30:44Speaker 7: So if someone could hack it and do like they
- 30:46Speaker 7: did and turn these refrigerators up to 122 degrees.
- 30:50Speaker 6: Spoil all the food.
- 30:51Speaker 1: Somebody's probably staring at my leftover meatloaf right now. I
- 30:56Speaker 1: don't know. But yeah, God, this guy's a slob. He hasn't. Oh,
- 30:59Speaker 1: he's still got that in his fridge. Yeah. It's just
- 31:02Speaker 1: so weird. The stuff they can hack.
- 31:04Speaker 2: It is.
- 31:04Speaker 7: And like, I don't know if you heard about this,
- 31:06Speaker 7: but open AI also said that they found a sophisticated
- 31:10Speaker 7: recording device hidden in one of their offices and they
- 31:12Speaker 7: think it was planted by an employee or So they're
- 31:15Speaker 7: like sending that to the FBI. People are trying to
- 31:18Speaker 7: get some, some dirt on these AI companies.
- 31:21Speaker 1: Yeah. Well, it's scary what's going on.
- 31:25Speaker 7: So guys real quick, the first episodes of love is
- 31:27Speaker 7: blind season 11 are now streaming on Netflix. So this
- 31:32Speaker 7: time 30 bachelors and bachelorettes are from the Boston area.
- 31:35Speaker 7: They range in age from 28 to 40 among the women.
- 31:39Speaker 7: There's a skincare guru, a neonatal ICU nurse. And then
- 31:43Speaker 7: among the men, a retired baseball player, a beekeeper, and
- 31:47Speaker 7: then a bouncer at South Boston's Busiest Bar.
- 31:51Speaker 6: Such a good show if you have time for it.
- 31:53Speaker 7: I haven't watched the last couple of seasons, but episodes
- 31:56Speaker 7: one through five are out now.
- 31:58Speaker 1: Maybe I do need to watch it because.
- 32:00Speaker 6: You'd be locked in for sure.
- 32:02Speaker 1: That's what I'm worried about, though. That's why I don't
- 32:04Speaker 1: turn on my TV. It's like not because I'm too
- 32:05Speaker 1: cool for TV. I just get hooked on stupid shows. Yeah.
- 32:08Speaker 7: Well, the good news is they just put new episodes
- 32:11Speaker 7: out every week until the finale on November 4th, because
- 32:14Speaker 7: when it first came out, you could just binge watch
- 32:15Speaker 7: the whole thing.
- 32:16Speaker 1: It was like, oh, that's what I kind of want
- 32:17Speaker 1: to do.
- 32:18Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 32:18Speaker 6: Well, wait till November 4th and you can watch the
- 32:20Speaker 6: whole season.
- 32:21Speaker 1: OK, maybe I will. Yeah.
- 32:22Speaker 6: There you go.
- 32:22Speaker 7: I'm Candace Lopez. Those are your Texas top stories.
- 32:26Speaker 1: We are getting ready for the banger right now. It
- 32:27Speaker 1: is Mix 102.9, Ability Kid, Candice Lopez, Producer Pooh. We
- 32:31Speaker 1: have some advice for Pooh. Well, Natasha does. I don't.
- 32:35Speaker 1: For dating advice, you don't want to listen to mine. Okay,
- 32:37Speaker 1: but Pooh went on a date. Things are going well.
- 32:39Speaker 1: I mean, I guess it sounded like it went well.
- 32:41Speaker 1: It was a coffee date.
- 32:42Speaker 6: It was going to be a second date, so that's good.
- 32:45Speaker 1: He's going to do dinner, which we don't know where
- 32:47Speaker 1: he's going to go or what he's going to do.
- 32:49Speaker 1: And you know what? That's okay. Listen. He's going to
- 32:51Speaker 1: do whatever he wants to do. And I say that because...
- 32:56Speaker 1: I don't want him to go to certain places that
- 32:58Speaker 1: he can't afford.
- 32:59Speaker 6: Right.
- 33:00Speaker 1: I learned my lesson today. Good. And I say that
- 33:03Speaker 1: meaning just be real.
- 33:04Speaker 8: Yeah, be reasonable.
- 33:05Speaker 1: Be reasonable.
- 33:06Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 33:07Speaker 1: Have fun. Just do what you want to do, but, like,
- 33:10Speaker 1: don't set yourself up for failure. But, Natasha, you wanted
- 33:12Speaker 1: to say what?
- 33:12Speaker 12: My advice is to really learn from every relationship. You're,
- 33:20Speaker 12: you know, you weren't married, but I was married, and
- 33:23Speaker 12: I just had to do it without being, like, what
- 33:25Speaker 12: was I... continually doing and learn.
- 33:28Speaker 1: From it yeah you have to be real with yourself
- 33:30Speaker 1: though that is that's the key you're right right there
- 33:33Speaker 1: you got to be real totally self-aware and ready to
- 33:36Speaker 1: be wrong.
- 33:37Speaker 12: Sometimes exactly and then you know i was fighting it
- 33:41Speaker 12: i'm i when i met somebody and i was i
- 33:44Speaker 12: was really happy and serious my kids were older my
- 33:47Speaker 12: daughter's 19 she goes Mom, I've never seen you happier. Like,
- 33:50Speaker 12: stop fighting it. If you found the one, you found
- 33:53Speaker 12: the one. And I got married in March, so thank you.
- 33:56Speaker 1: Oh, congratulations. Yay. That's really good advice. Well, congratulations. Yeah,
- 34:03Speaker 1: just be yourself. Don't fight it.
- 34:06Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 34:06Speaker 1: That's what I try to do. But I'm telling you, dating,
- 34:08Speaker 1: the older you get, I will say this. The worst
- 34:11Speaker 1: dating gets. Candice Lopez, just be happy. Be happy that
- 34:16Speaker 1: you don't have to deal with this crazy stuff. Get
- 34:19Speaker 1: it off your chest.
- 34:20Speaker 2: It's Dirty Little Secret with Billy the Kid in the
- 34:23Speaker 2: Morning on Mix 102.9. Brought to you by Mint Dentistry.
- 34:27Speaker 1: It's Billy the Kid, Candice Lopez, producer Pooh. If you've
- 34:30Speaker 1: got a secret, bring it on anytime you want.
- 34:31Speaker 5: 833-787-1029.
- 34:32Speaker 1: Don't forget, we've got money today. Our cash cow. Our
- 34:36Speaker 1: big heifer cash cow. Got so much money. She is
- 34:40Speaker 1: giving away. It's Mudana. She loves giving away cash.
- 34:43Speaker 6: She's full of money.
- 34:44Speaker 1: So friendly. We got her back here with poo. Okay.
- 34:47Speaker 1: So if you want some, 840 kicks off. Get $ 1, 000.
- 34:50Speaker 1: We do it on the 40s all day. So get
- 34:52Speaker 1: some money. Why not? You need it this time of
- 34:53Speaker 1: the year. We're kicking off the holidays soon. It's going
- 34:55Speaker 1: to be intense. So, all right. If you have a
- 34:57Speaker 1: dirty little secret, bring it. Now you have one. What
- 35:00Speaker 1: is going on? Hey, y'all.
- 35:02Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 35:03Speaker 8: So I have a secret about my ex-girlfriend.
- 35:06Speaker 5: Okay.
- 35:07Speaker 1: Okay.
- 35:07Speaker 8: But before you judge me, I swear I'm doing it
- 35:10Speaker 8: for the right reasons.
- 35:11Speaker 1: That makes me nervous. What's going on?
- 35:14Speaker 4: So we broke up almost a year ago. Well, it'll
- 35:16Speaker 4: be a year in February, actually. And we were together
- 35:20Speaker 4: for a long time. And honestly, I still love her.
- 35:23Speaker 4: We just had some issues we couldn't work through. But
- 35:26Speaker 4: that doesn't mean that I quit caring about her, you know?
- 35:29Speaker 8: Right. I still love her very much. And I always will.
- 35:34Speaker 1: So.
- 35:35Speaker 8: Anyway, she started dating this new guy.
- 35:37Speaker 4: And when I mentioned his name to a buddy of mine,
- 35:40Speaker 4: he immediately told me this dude was bad news.
- 35:43Speaker 8: Apparently he's got a history.
- 35:45Speaker 4: Of abusing his ex-wife and getting in trouble with the law.
- 35:48Speaker 8: So naturally, I started doing some digging myself.
- 35:52Speaker 4: And sure enough, I found multiple arrests online for drug
- 35:56Speaker 4: and domestic violence.
- 35:58Speaker 1: On this guy that she's dating now. Okay.
- 36:01Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 36:01Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 36:02Speaker 4: Which, you know, for obviously freaked me out because I
- 36:07Speaker 4: still care about this girl, you know?
- 36:09Speaker 8: And the last thing I want is for something bad
- 36:12Speaker 8: to happen to her.
- 36:13Speaker 1: No, of course not. Even if you're not together, you
- 36:15Speaker 1: don't want that. So that's, is that your secret that you,
- 36:18Speaker 1: you were creeping on him or what's, what's the secret?
- 36:22Speaker 8: Well, no, no.
- 36:23Speaker 4: I mean, like I went ahead and I, I texted
- 36:25Speaker 4: her about him and she got super defensive and basically
- 36:28Speaker 4: stopped me.
- 36:29Speaker 8: Uh, like she quit responding and.
- 36:33Speaker 4: To me and but here's my secret okay i still
- 36:37Speaker 4: keep tabs.
- 36:38Speaker 8: On her without her knowing what.
- 36:41Speaker 1: You keep tabs on her without what do you mean
- 36:43Speaker 1: without her knowing.
- 36:44Speaker 4: Well yeah well i mean i got a new job
- 36:47Speaker 4: after we broke up that she doesn't know about and
- 36:49Speaker 4: i drive a new company truck she won't recognize so
- 36:52Speaker 4: she has no idea what i'm what i'm driving in
- 36:56Speaker 4: and so it makes it pretty easy so i can
- 36:58Speaker 4: check on her without her recognizing me And sometimes on
- 37:01Speaker 4: my lunch break, like, I'll drive by her house just
- 37:03Speaker 4: to make sure everything's okay, you know?
- 37:05Speaker 8: Because especially if.
- 37:07Speaker 4: His car's there, I'll occasionally drive by her work to, like,
- 37:10Speaker 4: just to make sure she works at the first coast.
- 37:13Speaker 4: So I make sure that her car is there when
- 37:15Speaker 4: it's supposed to be so I know she's safe.
- 37:18Speaker 1: And, like, don't get me wrong.
- 37:20Speaker 4: Like, it's not like I'm, like, sitting out there for
- 37:22Speaker 4: hours on a stakeout or anything. I just make my rounds.
- 37:25Speaker 4: So and make sure that you're patrolling.
- 37:28Speaker 1: Well, I mean, yeah, I know. Like you're a cop
- 37:30Speaker 1: or something. Just call it what it is. You're basically
- 37:33Speaker 1: spying on your ex.
- 37:34Speaker 4: Yeah. I'm just all I do is just make it
- 37:38Speaker 4: a regular part of the of what I do to just.
- 37:41Speaker 8: Check on her, make sure she's OK.
- 37:42Speaker 4: And then I go about my day and I mind
- 37:44Speaker 4: my own business.
- 37:44Speaker 8: But I but I worry about it. That's it.
- 37:46Speaker 1: Right. But you understand how it would sound a little
- 37:49Speaker 1: bit creepy, to be honest.
- 37:50Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 37:51Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 37:54Speaker 1: Right. I mean, you know, I'm not saying your intentions
- 37:57Speaker 1: are bad, but you could see how somebody would take
- 38:00Speaker 1: this the wrong way.
- 38:01Speaker 7: Once I could see that happening, it's hard to deal
- 38:04Speaker 7: with breakups and things, but making rounds, this is a
- 38:07Speaker 7: routine for you?
- 38:08Speaker 1: Right.
- 38:09Speaker 4: I mean, when you put it like, I mean, I
- 38:10Speaker 4: hear where you're coming from when you put it that way,
- 38:13Speaker 4: but I swear it's not about jealousy or trying to
- 38:16Speaker 4: get her back or anything like that. I'm just, you know,
- 38:20Speaker 4: I'm genuinely worried about her safety.
- 38:23Speaker 1: Okay. I mean, we don't talk anymore.
- 38:25Speaker 8: Like we barely talk.
- 38:26Speaker 1: So it's really more about the, it's more about the
- 38:29Speaker 1: guy you, so you did text her. You told her
- 38:31Speaker 1: about the guy. Now I feel like it's almost like
- 38:33Speaker 1: her decision to do with that information, what she wants,
- 38:36Speaker 1: if she knows about it, whatever. I feel like you
- 38:37Speaker 1: did your part. So, but you feel like you would
- 38:40Speaker 1: be able to, to help her in some way if
- 38:42Speaker 1: something were to go wrong and you were checking up
- 38:44Speaker 1: on her.
- 38:45Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 38:46Speaker 8: She and I are ancient history. It's just knowing she's
- 38:49Speaker 8: with someone else. With that kind of history doesn't sit
- 38:53Speaker 8: right with me.
- 38:54Speaker 4: And look, I realize coming on here, people are going
- 38:57Speaker 4: to think that I'm crossing the line or whatever. But
- 39:01Speaker 4: when you love somebody, when you love somebody, that instinct
- 39:04Speaker 4: to protect them doesn't just disappear because you broke up.
- 39:08Speaker 8: And I do not. Trust this guy. And I never will.
- 39:12Speaker 1: No, I get what you're saying. And I, I know
- 39:14Speaker 1: what you mean. And I'm trying to, it's a.
- 39:16Speaker 6: Tough place to know that information about him.
- 39:18Speaker 1: Sometimes I'm super negative, you know, and I'll be honest.
- 39:21Speaker 1: Sometimes I have my guard up and I don't trust people.
- 39:23Speaker 1: So I'm going to be honest with you. How it
- 39:24Speaker 1: comes across to me is a little invasive. But I
- 39:28Speaker 1: understand that you don't stop loving somebody and caring for
- 39:31Speaker 1: somebody when you immediately just break up. There's still feelings there.
- 39:34Speaker 1: But at some point, there's a line. And that's all
- 39:38Speaker 1: I'm saying.
- 39:38Speaker 7: You're never going to detach from that relationship.
- 39:43Speaker 8: I hear you, but I'm not being invasive.
- 39:46Speaker 4: I'm just saying, if she ever needs someone to protect her, Yeah,
- 39:50Speaker 4: I promise you, I will be the first person there.
- 39:55Speaker 8: That's all I'm saying.
- 39:56Speaker 1: OK, I'm going to put you on hold for one second. OK,
- 39:59Speaker 1: stay right there. OK, this is I got to be honest.
- 40:04Speaker 1: I feel like this is on a fine line of stalking.
- 40:09Speaker 1: And I don't I don't want to be rude to
- 40:11Speaker 1: this guy. And I don't want to, you know, accuse
- 40:13Speaker 1: him on on our show on the air. and try
- 40:18Speaker 1: to humiliate him, but I don't feel right about it.
- 40:20Speaker 1: As a woman, if you heard this, how would you.
- 40:22Speaker 7: I would absolutely want to know if my ex were
- 40:24Speaker 7: spying on me.
- 40:25Speaker 1: For real, yeah, exactly. I wonder if she would come
- 40:28Speaker 1: on the air with us. And I don't know if
- 40:30Speaker 1: she would. I mean, who knows? I'm going to leave
- 40:32Speaker 1: him on hold. Okay, he did say where she worked.
- 40:36Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 40:37Speaker 1: See if you can get her name from him.
- 40:40Speaker 8: Okay.
- 40:40Speaker 1: I almost feel like if she agrees to go on
- 40:43Speaker 1: the air, I want to hear her side of this,
- 40:44Speaker 1: because I'm very nervous... that it's completely different.
- 40:48Speaker 6: Yeah, I know.
- 40:49Speaker 7: I don't know if we're going to blindside her with this,
- 40:52Speaker 7: or I don't know what she would think or say.
- 40:54Speaker 1: I don't either, really, but I would feel a lot
- 40:57Speaker 1: better if... If she doesn't want to go on the air,
- 41:00Speaker 1: I still feel like I'd want to tell her. Don't
- 41:02Speaker 1: get me wrong. It's not about being on the air.
- 41:04Speaker 1: I mean, of course, it's our show, so it's a living,
- 41:05Speaker 1: breathing thing, and it's live, and if we can, great.
- 41:08Speaker 1: I'd love to hear two sides of every time. This side,
- 41:11Speaker 1: this is different, though, because it just feels different.
- 41:15Speaker 6: Right. She should know.
- 41:17Speaker 1: Let me try to talk to her, get her on
- 41:18Speaker 1: the phone and see if we we might have to
- 41:20Speaker 1: push Candace Court and see if we can do. Let's
- 41:22Speaker 1: see if we talk to her coming up next. I just. Yeah.
- 41:27Speaker 1: And I want to know your thoughts, too. At Billy
- 41:28Speaker 1: on the radio, on Instagram, call us 833-787-1029. I just
- 41:32Speaker 1: don't feel right about it. Well, a dirty little secret
- 41:35Speaker 1: that I didn't expect to mix one on two point nine.
- 41:38Speaker 1: Bailey to keep Candace Lopez producer who is here. So
- 41:43Speaker 1: we got this guy on the phone right now. And
- 41:45Speaker 1: I'm not trying to hide anything from him, by the way.
- 41:47Speaker 1: And I don't think he's an evil person. I just
- 41:51Speaker 1: feel like I've been put in a weird situation because,
- 41:54Speaker 1: I don't know, my gut told me something was a
- 41:56Speaker 1: little bit off on this. Needless to say, he basically
- 41:59Speaker 1: is saying that he keeps an eye on his ex.
- 42:01Speaker 1: He keeps, quote, what he said, tabs on her. And
- 42:05Speaker 1: it's coming across a little overbearing to me. Yeah. And
- 42:08Speaker 1: I'm not saying he's got bad intentions. I want to
- 42:11Speaker 1: make that clear because I don't know. Right. But I
- 42:14Speaker 1: also feel like this is a situation where she should
- 42:16Speaker 1: kind of know. But I'm usually not this guy that
- 42:19Speaker 1: if someone shares a secret with me, I don't say anything.
- 42:22Speaker 8: Right.
- 42:23Speaker 1: Unless I feel like someone should really, really know because
- 42:28Speaker 1: of an ongoing issue or safety or whatever.
- 42:31Speaker 8: Right.
- 42:32Speaker 1: And like Nancy, Nancy on Instagram says, no, he shared
- 42:35Speaker 1: a secret with you. Don't say anything. Yeah. Like you
- 42:37Speaker 1: shouldn't call her.
- 42:37Speaker 6: I get it.
- 42:38Speaker 1: And I get that. Totally get that. Now, Hunter's on
- 42:41Speaker 1: the phone. What did you say, Hunter?
- 42:42Speaker 3: As a woman, I think she 100 percent has a
- 42:46Speaker 3: right now and a need to know, because the way
- 42:48Speaker 3: he just described their breakup for unreconcilable issues, like it
- 42:55Speaker 3: sounds like she has a reason to have no contact.
- 42:58Speaker 3: And it sounds like he's continuously overstepping boundaries.
- 43:01Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 43:01Speaker 3: There's no borderline stalking that stalking.
- 43:04Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 43:05Speaker 3: The audacity and the boldness to go on a radio
- 43:08Speaker 3: station and admit to this, like, it's not an issue.
- 43:11Speaker 3: That just shows how out of touch he is.
- 43:13Speaker 1: Okay. That's what I was thinking, too. Thank you, Hunter,
- 43:17Speaker 1: by the way. Thank you. I appreciate that because the
- 43:20Speaker 1: story was a little bit different when he told us. Yes.
- 43:22Speaker 1: And then he came on and said something different.
- 43:25Speaker 6: Yeah, it's more alarming now.
- 43:27Speaker 1: Because I don't think I would have put him on
- 43:29Speaker 1: if I knew what he would have said in the first.
- 43:31Speaker 1: Is she on the phone? Yeah, I got on the phone,
- 43:33Speaker 1: but I don't know if she wants to go on
- 43:34Speaker 1: the air. OK, play this. Let me talk to her
- 43:37Speaker 1: off here. I don't want to because we're blinds on her.
- 43:40Speaker 1: But I want to make sure because I want to
- 43:41Speaker 1: give every every side an opportunity to talk if possible.
- 43:45Speaker 1: We'll talk to her next, hopefully. I'm Mix. Hang out. Sorry, Candace.
- 43:48Speaker 6: No worries.
- 43:49Speaker 1: The court got a little crazy.
- 43:50Speaker 6: Yeah, I didn't expect this.
- 43:51Speaker 1: Me either. It's Mix 102.9. Ability Kid, Candace Lopez is here.
- 43:55Speaker 1: Producer Poo is here. A lot going on behind the scenes,
- 43:57Speaker 1: but we did her a little secret, and the guy
- 43:58Speaker 1: called up, and he basically said that he confessed he
- 44:01Speaker 1: was keeping tabs on his ex because he was worried
- 44:03Speaker 1: about her, and she's dating this new guy, and the
- 44:06Speaker 1: guy has a history of crime or domestic violence, which
- 44:10Speaker 1: I get, and You know, but it just felt like
- 44:13Speaker 1: there might be we might be walking a fine line
- 44:16Speaker 1: here of doing too much and maybe violating her privacy.
- 44:21Speaker 1: And he mentioned where she worked. I'm like, if I
- 44:23Speaker 1: would love to hear both sides of the story, if possible, because,
- 44:26Speaker 1: I mean, ideally, that would always be the case.
- 44:28Speaker 4: Oh, yeah.
- 44:29Speaker 6: I love that.
- 44:29Speaker 1: In Dirty Little Secret. It's fair. Sometimes it's a secret
- 44:33Speaker 1: that happened 10 years ago. It's like, well, you know, whatever. Yeah.
- 44:36Speaker 1: This is happening now. And I'm reading my DMs, and
- 44:39Speaker 1: I appreciate it. I'm going to try to get back
- 44:40Speaker 1: to everybody here soon, but there are some people saying
- 44:42Speaker 1: call her, don't call her. Either way, she is on
- 44:45Speaker 1: the phone. And I know she's probably like, what is
- 44:48Speaker 1: going on? How are you?
- 44:49Speaker 11: I'm okay.
- 44:52Speaker 1: And I know you're working, so I'm not going to
- 44:55Speaker 1: keep you. And I appreciate you hopping on the air
- 44:58Speaker 1: with us. What's going on? Well, long story short, we
- 45:00Speaker 1: do a segment called Dirty Little Secret. We have your
- 45:04Speaker 1: ex-boyfriend that called in.
- 45:06Speaker 5: Hmm.
- 45:08Speaker 1: He basically told us a secret that I feel, for
- 45:11Speaker 1: whatever reason, compelled to tell you, and I don't think
- 45:15Speaker 1: necessarily he's a bad guy, and I don't want to
- 45:17Speaker 1: frame him like he's the worst, but he basically just
- 45:19Speaker 1: called us and told us that he's keeping his eye
- 45:22Speaker 1: out on you and kind of watching over you because
- 45:25Speaker 1: he still cares, and he loves you, and he's worried
- 45:28Speaker 1: about this new guy that you're dating.
- 45:29Speaker 8: Okay, let me get somewhere where I can talk.
- 45:33Speaker 1: Right. And I'm sorry to hit you up like this
- 45:36Speaker 1: because I don't know the situation, but he did text you.
- 45:41Speaker 1: He said and warned you about this particular man that
- 45:43Speaker 1: you're dating now. And I don't know if he said
- 45:45Speaker 1: he had some issues, a criminal record, and he's worried
- 45:48Speaker 1: about you. But I feel like I wouldn't be doing
- 45:50Speaker 1: the right thing if I didn't tell you that this
- 45:52Speaker 1: guy's your ex is driving around your workplace. It doesn't
- 45:56Speaker 1: feel right if I don't say something.
- 45:59Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 45:59Speaker 11: Whatever he's saying, do not listen to. Okay. My ex
- 46:03Speaker 11: is a pathological liar.
- 46:06Speaker 1: Really?
- 46:06Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 46:08Speaker 11: No, like a narcissist, hardcore. Like he was the one
- 46:11Speaker 11: who had the drug problem. He's been the one that's
- 46:14Speaker 11: been abusive. It's really none of his, his, his damn
- 46:17Speaker 11: business who I'm dating. And like, I had to block
- 46:21Speaker 11: him and I'm blocking him for a reason. Like also
- 46:23Speaker 11: I'm not even dating that guy anymore.
- 46:25Speaker 12: But like, that's not even the problem.
- 46:27Speaker 4: Like is the problem.
- 46:29Speaker 1: Oh, okay. I'll bleep that out. I'm so glad that
- 46:34Speaker 1: you said that. Now I feel weird for even putting
- 46:37Speaker 1: him on the air in the first place, but I
- 46:39Speaker 1: didn't know. Yeah, he acted like he was protecting you. Well,
- 46:42Speaker 1: he's on the phone. If you want me to bring
- 46:44Speaker 1: him on the phone, I will, but if you don't
- 46:45Speaker 1: want me to, I won't. Oh, no, no, no, no.
- 46:48Speaker 11: Absolutely not. He's blocked, and I don't want to talk
- 46:51Speaker 11: to him. He's blocked, and I have just nothing to
- 46:54Speaker 11: do with him. Tell him I would call the police.
- 46:57Speaker 11: This is not the first time he's done this, and I.
- 47:01Speaker 1: Know he's going to do it again. I just... I
- 47:04Speaker 1: don't know.
- 47:05Speaker 11: Maybe I need to get a restraining order because this
- 47:07Speaker 11: has become a saying and I have to go back
- 47:10Speaker 11: into work and go.
- 47:11Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, yeah. I'm sorry.
- 47:14Speaker 12: I mean, if I could get a recording of what
- 47:16Speaker 12: he said or like hear.
- 47:18Speaker 11: It myself, because I just I really need some kind
- 47:21Speaker 11: of proof. To know that he's doing this.
- 47:23Speaker 1: All right. I'm going to put you on hold. And
- 47:26Speaker 1: I know you got to go back to work. I'll
- 47:27Speaker 1: give you whatever you need. Just stay there so we
- 47:30Speaker 1: can get you. I know we called you at work,
- 47:31Speaker 1: so I know you got to get back in. But
- 47:33Speaker 1: I'll get your number so we can get you whatever.
- 47:35Speaker 1: And if it's okay with you, I'm going to tell
- 47:37Speaker 1: him that. I'm going to just tell him and be
- 47:39Speaker 1: honest with him, if that's cool.
- 47:42Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 47:42Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 47:43Speaker 11: I mean, he knows what's going on.
- 47:45Speaker 3: He's been doing this.
- 47:45Speaker 1: Okay. Stay there. Hold on. And I'm not hiding it
- 47:49Speaker 1: from him, by the way. He's still on hold. He's
- 47:51Speaker 1: still on hold, right?
- 47:51Speaker 4: Yeah, he's still.
- 47:52Speaker 1: He can hear what's going on. I mean, I don't
- 47:54Speaker 1: want to. I'm not lying to anybody. No.
- 47:57Speaker 6: He called us. Yeah.
- 47:58Speaker 1: I'm not. I told him straight up when I put
- 48:01Speaker 1: him on hold. I'm going to call her because I
- 48:02Speaker 1: feel like she should know.
- 48:03Speaker 10: Yeah.
- 48:04Speaker 1: Because if you're telling the truth, then there's nothing to
- 48:06Speaker 1: hide here. Yeah. So, yeah, I don't know. Maybe I'll
- 48:09Speaker 1: put him on. Maybe if he wants to, cool. If not,
- 48:11Speaker 1: we'll figure it out next. But, geez. Before we do
- 48:15Speaker 1: Texas Top Stories, Mix 102.9, it's Bailey the Kid, Candace Lopez,
- 48:19Speaker 1: Producer Pooh. We had a wild, dirty little secret that
- 48:23Speaker 1: this guy called in. He confessed that he was keeping
- 48:25Speaker 1: tabs on his ex. Long story short, I felt like
- 48:28Speaker 1: it was a little much. And I felt like it
- 48:31Speaker 1: was something that was just a little invasive to the ex.
- 48:33Speaker 1: So I told her, called her. He didn't she didn't
- 48:36Speaker 1: want to talk to him about it on the air.
- 48:38Speaker 1: Respect that.
- 48:39Speaker 6: Yeah, I wouldn't either.
- 48:40Speaker 1: I got off the air. So what? So, you know,
- 48:42Speaker 1: what just happened? I got off the air. He was
- 48:44Speaker 1: still on the phone. I didn't hide anything from him.
- 48:46Speaker 1: I was telling him exactly what I was going to do.
- 48:48Speaker 1: And I just didn't want to put them on together
- 48:50Speaker 1: because I felt like that was just too like, no,
- 48:52Speaker 1: I'm not going to do that. So needless to say,
- 48:54Speaker 1: I told him off the air. Hey, here's what just happened.
- 48:57Speaker 1: You heard it. I'm just and I was talking to
- 48:59Speaker 1: him like a friend almost. And if you want to
- 49:02Speaker 1: go back on the air, you can. If you don't
- 49:03Speaker 1: totally respect that. I didn't want to just go, hey,
- 49:05Speaker 1: you're on. Don't you feel stupid? Right. It's not what
- 49:08Speaker 1: I wanted to do to him. But he wants to
- 49:11Speaker 1: go on. He's like, I just want to say one
- 49:13Speaker 1: thing real quick. And I'm like, okay. So she said,
- 49:16Speaker 1: I don't appreciate it back off. I told him that now,
- 49:18Speaker 1: what did you want to say? Cause I want to
- 49:20Speaker 1: respect that you have something to say and get off
- 49:22Speaker 1: your chest.
- 49:23Speaker 8: No, no, I hear you. No, it's seen. That is
- 49:26Speaker 8: her problem. She always just pushes the way people that,
- 49:30Speaker 8: that she loves.
- 49:33Speaker 4: And she wants to be extra dramatic about every single situation,
- 49:37Speaker 4: but trust me, I know that guy is no good.
- 49:40Speaker 1: Okay, okay. I'm not the problem.
- 49:43Speaker 8: I'm not the problem here, but okay.
- 49:45Speaker 1: I'm not saying you are the problem. She said she
- 49:48Speaker 1: would literally call the police if it doesn't stop.
- 49:50Speaker 6: Yeah, that's serious.
- 49:51Speaker 1: And I don't want that.
- 49:52Speaker 8: Oh, for hell.
- 49:54Speaker 1: Well.
- 49:54Speaker 4: You know what? Look, that's just how she is. Just
- 49:59Speaker 4: like I said, she can call the police. I haven't
- 50:02Speaker 4: done anything wrong whatsoever.
- 50:05Speaker 8: Like I said, I still love her. I care about her.
- 50:06Speaker 4: This guy is not good, and I honestly... I care
- 50:09Speaker 4: too much about her. Well, and I will never under,
- 50:11Speaker 4: she will never understand that. And I have good intention.
- 50:14Speaker 1: And I'm just going to tell you, man to man,
- 50:15Speaker 1: maybe she won't. And maybe you are the nicest guy ever.
- 50:18Speaker 1: You sound like a nice guy. Maybe she won't ever
- 50:22Speaker 1: understand it. Maybe it's all her fault. I don't know,
- 50:24Speaker 1: but I will tell you what she just told me.
- 50:26Speaker 1: I would back off.
- 50:28Speaker 8: I look, I appreciate you.
- 50:29Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 50:29Speaker 8: I'll just, you don't, you don't know her.
- 50:31Speaker 1: I know.
- 50:31Speaker 8: All right. You're right.
- 50:33Speaker 1: Well, good luck with everything. Okay.
- 50:34Speaker 8: All right. You too.
- 50:36Speaker 1: Thank you. You're welcome. She's not even dating the guy anyway. Okay,
- 50:41Speaker 1: there we go. It's over.
- 50:42Speaker 2: It's Texas Top Stories on the 10s with Billy the
- 50:44Speaker 2: Kid in the Morning.
- 50:45Speaker 5: Only on the new Mix 102.9.
- 50:47Speaker 1: You see what I mean when I say love sucks?
- 50:50Speaker 1: Look what it does to you.
- 50:51Speaker 6: Yeah, that's a lot.
- 50:51Speaker 1: What's going on?
- 50:53Speaker 6: I hate that, guys.
- 50:54Speaker 7: Let's talk about the weather hot again today.
- 50:57Speaker 6: If you haven't noticed, it's already 81. It feels like
- 50:59Speaker 6: 86 outside.
- 51:01Speaker 7: We're going to get up to 90, but by Friday,
- 51:03Speaker 7: our high may not even get above 70.
- 51:06Speaker 1: Oh, I love that.
- 51:07Speaker 6: Yeah, the low, 48. Yeah, so fall is coming, guys.
- 51:11Speaker 6: Get ready and listen to this.
- 51:12Speaker 7: Wingstop just announced their new Sour Patch Kids inspired wing flavor.
- 51:17Speaker 7: So it's called Wicked Punch. This is basically, you know,
- 51:20Speaker 7: sour then sweet. It's a red berry glaze with Sour
- 51:24Speaker 7: Patch Kids bits. You can add it to your wings,
- 51:27Speaker 7: tenders or chicken sandwiches.
- 51:29Speaker 6: Wild idea there, Wingstop.
- 51:32Speaker 1: It sounded gross at first, but then I was thinking
- 51:33Speaker 1: to myself, like, we like sweet and sour chicken a lot.
- 51:36Speaker 6: Love sweet and sour chicken.
- 51:37Speaker 4: Yeah, we do.
- 51:37Speaker 1: You know, like Chinese food. Yeah. So why not feel,
- 51:40Speaker 1: I mean, it might be different. I don't know about
- 51:42Speaker 1: the chunks.
- 51:43Speaker 7: Yeah, the little bits I could do, you know, without.
- 51:46Speaker 7: But it's available to Club Wingstop members October 23rd and
- 51:49Speaker 7: then nationwide October 27th through November 5th. And let's update
- 51:54Speaker 7: you on this whole Kelly Clarkson drama that's been going
- 51:56Speaker 7: on since the weekend with this singing bird. So she's
- 52:01Speaker 7: been in this public dispute with the store in Brooklyn.
- 52:04Speaker 6: I guess it started Saturday.
- 52:06Speaker 7: Kelly posted online accusing that store. It's called Art of Play.
- 52:10Speaker 7: She accused them of basically. treating her like she couldn't
- 52:13Speaker 7: afford a $ 15, 000 mechanical bird which.
- 52:16Speaker 1: This bird is ridiculous it's like cute controlled by strings
- 52:19Speaker 1: it's pretty much a puppet and and and i love
- 52:22Speaker 1: kelly so it doesn't matter like you know we're gonna
- 52:24Speaker 1: ride for our girl kelly i'm on her side she's
- 52:25Speaker 1: from texas yeah burleson girl i don't know what the
- 52:28Speaker 1: store owner says but i don't agree.
- 52:30Speaker 7: With him Yeah, well, she claimed that the employees were
- 52:33Speaker 7: rude to her and that they lied about the price
- 52:35Speaker 7: of the bird, basically giving her, you know, the pretty
- 52:37Speaker 7: woman treatment. The store owner responded saying the bird wasn't
- 52:41Speaker 7: even for sale and said this was all a misunderstanding.
- 52:45Speaker 6: Well, then Kelly shot.
- 52:45Speaker 7: Back, posting a photo with the price tag next to
- 52:48Speaker 7: the bird, calling them out.
- 52:49Speaker 6: But now the store owner is speaking out. You should
- 52:51Speaker 6: hear what he says.
- 52:52Speaker 10: We are afraid for the safety of our shopkeepers. Kelly
- 52:55Speaker 10: Clarkson has put us in danger. Not just are people
- 52:58Speaker 10: showing up in person, but. Our neighbors are getting doxxed
- 53:03Speaker 10: and review bombed. People are getting threatened on the street.
- 53:06Speaker 10: And the worst part is nothing happened in this shop
- 53:10Speaker 10: to justify her scolding our shopkeeper on.
- 53:12Speaker 1: The way out. But I could let that go. Things
- 53:15Speaker 1: changed when.
- 53:16Speaker 10: She used her platform to attack us.
- 53:18Speaker 1: It's just.
- 53:19Speaker 10: It's asymmetrical social warfare.
- 53:21Speaker 1: He said social warfare.
- 53:23Speaker 6: That's an interesting term.
- 53:24Speaker 1: That's a bunch of rich people problems. Kelly, if you're listening,
- 53:28Speaker 1: you don't need that bird anyway.
- 53:29Speaker 2: No.
- 53:29Speaker 1: Bird's stupid.
- 53:30Speaker 7: Yeah, well, he's saying she was upset because she didn't
- 53:33Speaker 7: get special treatment, and now he's like, well, hey, if
- 53:35Speaker 7: someone wants to walk in with $ 15 million, the bird
- 53:38Speaker 7: is for sale.
- 53:40Speaker 6: So, yeah, just a lot of drama over Molly, this bird.
- 53:43Speaker 1: That's the bird's name?
- 53:44Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 53:44Speaker 1: Never trust a Molly. No.
- 53:47Speaker 11: Of course.
- 53:47Speaker 7: I'm Candace Lopez. Those are your Texas Top Stories.
- 53:50Speaker 4: All right.
- 53:52Speaker 2: It's time for Candace Court. It gets settled here with
- 53:56Speaker 2: Billy the Kid in the morning.
- 53:58Speaker 1: Y'all can stay seated if you want. I'm tired. I'm exhausted.
- 54:02Speaker 6: Have a seat.
- 54:02Speaker 7: You're fine.
- 54:03Speaker 1: Can I sit down?
- 54:04Speaker 6: Yeah, you can sit.
- 54:04Speaker 1: Your Honor, thank you.
- 54:05Speaker 6: Just today.
- 54:07Speaker 1: All sit down for the Honorable Judge Candace Lopez. That's
- 54:12Speaker 1: what we should do. Our court everybody has to sit down.
- 54:15Speaker 5: I'm busy.
- 54:16Speaker 1: We're tired. Dirty little seeker wore me out. All this drama.
- 54:20Speaker 1: Either way, that's why we moved Candace Court here. Usually
- 54:22Speaker 1: we do it around, I don't know, 750 or so.
- 54:24Speaker 1: But hey, how you doing? Here we are. Court's in session.
- 54:27Speaker 1: If you've got a problem, Candace can help you at
- 54:29Speaker 1: Candace on air on Instagram at Candace on air. No
- 54:32Speaker 1: matter what the drama is, no matter what's going on,
- 54:35Speaker 1: doesn't matter. We've had all sorts of cases today. Let
- 54:38Speaker 1: me read you the problem from this woman who says,
- 54:40Speaker 1: and I'll keep it anonymous. I almost said her name
- 54:42Speaker 1: by accident because it's on her message. Maybe I'm being dramatic.
- 54:46Speaker 1: But I'm seeing someone new who I'm really into. Even
- 54:50Speaker 1: though it's only been a few months, I feel like
- 54:51Speaker 1: there's definitely something here. That's good news.
- 54:54Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 54:55Speaker 1: Well, last weekend, we go to the fair. And it
- 54:58Speaker 1: was perfect. I had the best time. And for whatever reason,
- 55:02Speaker 1: I felt like I literally fell in love with him
- 55:05Speaker 1: in that moment. Oh, wow.
- 55:08Speaker 8: Nice.
- 55:09Speaker 1: I mean, the fair is magical.
- 55:10Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 55:11Speaker 1: It can happen like that. I was so happy. Well, Monday...
- 55:15Speaker 1: I was looking at his Instagram.
- 55:18Speaker 6: Oh, God.
- 55:19Speaker 1: This is how it all starts. Monday, I was looking
- 55:22Speaker 1: at his Instagram, and I started looking at posts from
- 55:25Speaker 1: back in the day, which I never have before. See,
- 55:28Speaker 1: what are you doing?
- 55:29Speaker 6: Doing what everyone does.
- 55:32Speaker 1: No, we don't.
- 55:33Speaker 6: Okay, go ahead.
- 55:34Speaker 1: I don't care what happened after eight weeks. I'll creep
- 55:38Speaker 1: it to eight weeks, and then that's my no zone. Oh, wow.
- 55:41Speaker 8: Okay.
- 55:41Speaker 1: And then that's the cutoff. Whatever happened eight weeks ago
- 55:43Speaker 1: is beyond whatever. Fair. Either way, she says, for whatever reason,
- 55:48Speaker 1: I usually don't do that, but my curiosity got the
- 55:49Speaker 1: best of me, said every person ever.
- 55:53Speaker 8: Oh.
- 55:54Speaker 1: Well, I see that him and his ex-girlfriend used to
- 55:58Speaker 1: go to the fair every single year.
- 56:00Speaker 5: Oh.
- 56:03Speaker 1: It was their quote-unquote thing.
- 56:05Speaker 5: Okay.
- 56:06Speaker 1: It was their thing. I just don't know why he
- 56:09Speaker 1: would take me if it's something with his ex.
- 56:12Speaker 5: Oh.
- 56:14Speaker 1: Isn't that not weird? I feel like saying something, but
- 56:18Speaker 1: I don't know if I should. If it's bothering me,
- 56:20Speaker 1: I guess it's worth it or no. Candace, help. Yeah, Candace,
- 56:24Speaker 1: help her out. What's she going to do? What is
- 56:27Speaker 1: going on?
- 56:27Speaker 6: I mean, your coffee shop is your thing. Your happy
- 56:30Speaker 6: hour spot is your thing.
- 56:31Speaker 7: I think the fair is everyone's thing. It's the state
- 56:34Speaker 7: fair of Texas. It's all of our thing every year
- 56:37Speaker 7: for three weeks. It's a thing we prepare for every year.
- 56:41Speaker 7: It's a tradition for all of us.
- 56:42Speaker 1: I understand that. And let me play devil's advocate here
- 56:45Speaker 1: because I do feel like some people make it more
- 56:48Speaker 1: of a thing than others.
- 56:49Speaker 7: Okay.
- 56:50Speaker 1: So what I'm saying is if you're a Texan, you
- 56:52Speaker 1: go to the state fair of Texas.
- 56:54Speaker 6: I see what you mean.
- 56:55Speaker 7: Like if it's we're first day fair people, opening day
- 56:58Speaker 7: fair people, or last day fair people.
- 57:00Speaker 1: I wish I could see these posts because there's part
- 57:03Speaker 1: of me that says, you know, if you're taking a
- 57:05Speaker 1: picture of you, you and your ex are like, hey, yeah,
- 57:08Speaker 1: we're at the state fair of Texas.
- 57:09Speaker 6: We all take a picture with big Tex.
- 57:11Speaker 5: Right.
- 57:11Speaker 1: If it's you and big Texas butt and you're eating
- 57:13Speaker 1: a corny dog. Right. Then like, well, that's what we do.
- 57:16Speaker 1: That's what we do.
- 57:18Speaker 2: If.
- 57:18Speaker 1: The post is like, this is our thing.
- 57:22Speaker 7: If you're on like the gondola or on the Ferris
- 57:26Speaker 7: wheel together, that might have been their thing.
- 57:29Speaker 1: What if they're like, you know, we're at the fair and,
- 57:33Speaker 1: you know, he posted, this is where we met and
- 57:36Speaker 1: this is where we come every year. Thank you, Big Tex.
- 57:39Speaker 5: You have a point.
- 57:41Speaker 1: Thank you, Big Tex, for bringing me love and corny dogs.
- 57:45Speaker 7: Like if you like come find us on the corny
- 57:47Speaker 7: dog walk now and that's your thing and you're going
- 57:50Speaker 7: to bring a new girlfriend.
- 57:51Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 57:52Speaker 6: Okay.
- 57:53Speaker 1: Like there's people who come to the corny dog walk
- 57:54Speaker 1: every year to get free tickets and it's like husband
- 57:57Speaker 1: and wife, boyfriend and girlfriend. I'm like, Billy, we find
- 58:00Speaker 1: you Candace and poo. We find you guys. And then
- 58:02Speaker 1: what we do is we go straight to the fair.
- 58:03Speaker 1: It's our thing.
- 58:04Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 58:05Speaker 1: So, um, but you're right, but there is a difference sometimes.
- 58:10Speaker 6: If you're taking the picture.
- 58:11Speaker 7: In the same place, like if, He took you to
- 58:13Speaker 7: take a picture in the exact spot where the Ferris
- 58:16Speaker 7: wheel meets the midway and all that. Then I can
- 58:20Speaker 7: see where it would be kind of ache, but like,
- 58:22Speaker 7: don't say anything, you know, about the fair. Say something
- 58:25Speaker 7: about him not deleting the pictures.
- 58:27Speaker 1: Oh, really?
- 58:29Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 58:29Speaker 1: So not. Okay.
- 58:30Speaker 6: So you're saying I have more of an issue with that.
- 58:33Speaker 1: You have a problem with him having pictures of his ex.
- 58:36Speaker 1: So he can't have a past is what you're saying.
- 58:37Speaker 8: He can't.
- 58:38Speaker 6: I don't want to see it though.
- 58:39Speaker 1: So, well, you don't have to go on his Instagram.
- 58:41Speaker 6: Yes, I do.
- 58:43Speaker 1: You gotta delete them pics.
- 58:44Speaker 3: Right.
- 58:45Speaker 1: Oh, really? Yeah. Now we can't even have a pickup
- 58:49Speaker 1: from 10 years ago at the fair? No, ain't nobody
- 58:52Speaker 1: going to see what happened 82 weeks ago. Guys, we're
- 58:54Speaker 1: not 18.
- 58:55Speaker 9: It doesn't matter. Girls trip on small things sometimes.
- 58:59Speaker 6: Yeah, it's your profile. It's your social being. It's your life.
- 59:03Speaker 1: Can I just take it online? Can I have a
- 59:04Speaker 1: minute to toot my own horn?
- 59:06Speaker 6: Toot it. Why are we tooting it?
- 59:08Speaker 1: Well, I'm tooting because even a couple of years ago,
- 59:12Speaker 1: I would have been like that. Now I'm just like,
- 59:15Speaker 1: I don't care if she has a picture of her
- 59:17Speaker 1: ex up, whatever.
- 59:18Speaker 5: No.
- 59:18Speaker 1: Now, hold on. No, Candace. And I knew you were
- 59:23Speaker 1: going to say that. I knew you were going to
- 59:24Speaker 1: say that. But with conditions, meaning if it was just like... two,
- 59:30Speaker 1: three years ago, whatever. If it's like seven weeks ago, well,
- 59:36Speaker 1: then yeah, maybe that's weird. Or if it's a certain
- 59:39Speaker 1: kind of picture, then it's like, okay, I don't need
- 59:42Speaker 1: To see you guys make it out on your page. Right.
- 59:44Speaker 1: But I know people have a past. It's whatever. I'm
- 59:47Speaker 1: just getting, I'm old enough to where I'm like, yeah.
- 59:49Speaker 7: Yeah, maybe it was like a romantic picture. Are they
- 59:51Speaker 7: kissing in the picture or like doing something?
- 59:54Speaker 1: Right. Are they feeding each other, you know, a corny dog?
- 59:57Speaker 1: A corny dog like Lady and the Tramp? Right. I
- 1:00:00Speaker 1: don't know. Maybe they are.
- 1:00:02Speaker 7: I mean, unless they were feeding each other corn dogs
- 1:00:04Speaker 7: that way, and now he fed you.
- 1:00:05Speaker 6: A corn dog that way.
- 1:00:06Speaker 8: Then I can see.
- 1:00:07Speaker 6: Where that's your thing.
- 1:00:08Speaker 1: Yeah, intertwine your arms.
- 1:00:09Speaker 11: Right.
- 1:00:10Speaker 1: It doesn't matter what we think. So you think she
- 1:00:12Speaker 1: shouldn't say anything.
- 1:00:14Speaker 7: No, you can't say anything about him taking you to
- 1:00:16Speaker 7: the fair.
- 1:00:16Speaker 6: Everybody goes to the fair. We go to the fair.
- 1:00:19Speaker 6: It's our thing as Texans.
- 1:00:20Speaker 1: Okay. But she should say something about the picture still
- 1:00:24Speaker 1: being up.
- 1:00:24Speaker 12: Yeah.
- 1:00:25Speaker 6: Yeah, for sure.
- 1:00:26Speaker 7: This guy's guilty of being an archive Andy.
- 1:00:28Speaker 1: Wow.
- 1:00:30Speaker 6: No one wants to see your archives.
- 1:00:32Speaker 7: Tweet it and delete it if it involves your ex.
- 1:00:35Speaker 7: We just don't want to see it. We know you
- 1:00:36Speaker 7: had a past. Everyone has one.
- 1:00:38Speaker 1: Archive Andy. Yeah. I don't know if that's fair, but
- 1:00:42Speaker 1: you know what? You're the judge, and I do not
- 1:00:44Speaker 1: mess with the judicial system. Thank you.
- 1:00:46Speaker 5: The new Mix 102.9.
- 1:00:48Speaker 1: Good morning.
- 1:00:49Speaker 11: Right?
- 1:00:49Speaker 1: I'm stressed out. It's Mix 102.9. Ability Kid, Candace Lopez,
- 1:00:53Speaker 1: Producer Poo. You know what makes me happy, though?
- 1:00:56Speaker 5: What?
- 1:00:56Speaker 1: Is a good list. A good list. When I see
- 1:00:59Speaker 1: a good list, I'm like, that's what I like. Structure. Yeah. Organized, ranked.
- 1:01:04Speaker 6: Music to go along with it.
- 1:01:05Speaker 1: Music. I get excited. So when I saw this, because, well,
- 1:01:08Speaker 1: I love a list and I love dumb. Two things.
- 1:01:11Speaker 1: I love a good list and I love dumb. Doctors who,
- 1:01:15Speaker 1: you know, shout out to all our doctors, our nurses, EMS.
- 1:01:18Speaker 1: You know, we were out yesterday, Tarrant County Sheriff's Department.
- 1:01:21Speaker 1: I mean, all our first responders in general are incredible.
- 1:01:24Speaker 1: But right. So. Healthcare workers were talking about the dumbest
- 1:01:28Speaker 1: things that patients have ever done. Oh, God. Are you
- 1:01:31Speaker 1: ready for some of these? Yeah. You got to hear
- 1:01:34Speaker 1: this because, I mean, they deal with some crazy stuff.
- 1:01:36Speaker 1: So this doctor said a man removed a knife from
- 1:01:41Speaker 1: his torso and he called 911. And their first piece
- 1:01:44Speaker 1: of advice was to, hey, don't pull the knife out.
- 1:01:47Speaker 8: Right.
- 1:01:47Speaker 1: They tell you don't pull the knife out because you're
- 1:01:49Speaker 1: going to bleed.
- 1:01:49Speaker 11: Okay.
- 1:01:51Speaker 1: He already did.
- 1:01:52Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 1:01:53Speaker 1: So when paramedics arrived, they saw him trying to put
- 1:01:56Speaker 1: the knife back in.
- 1:01:57Speaker 8: No!
- 1:01:59Speaker 1: So he was re-stabbing himself. Buddy. Yeah, he's like, oh,
- 1:02:04Speaker 1: I took it out. Hold on real quick. Let me
- 1:02:06Speaker 1: stab myself real quick. He had not the smartest.
- 1:02:09Speaker 3: No.
- 1:02:10Speaker 1: But I'll give him a pass because he's dealing with
- 1:02:12Speaker 1: some trauma and he's not all there.
- 1:02:14Speaker 6: For sure.
- 1:02:14Speaker 1: I don't know if I'd give this a pass, though.
- 1:02:17Speaker 1: A mother brought her healthy three-month-old baby to the ER
- 1:02:20Speaker 1: because he was, quote, laughing inappropriately.
- 1:02:23Speaker 5: What?
- 1:02:26Speaker 6: A three-month-old?
- 1:02:27Speaker 1: Three-month-old, the baby was laughing inappropriately. How does a three-year-old
- 1:02:30Speaker 1: laugh inappropriately? They don't.
- 1:02:32Speaker 6: It's always appropriate.
- 1:02:33Speaker 1: Right. It's the best sound in the world.
- 1:02:35Speaker 6: More, please. Don't stop laughing.
- 1:02:37Speaker 1: A three-month-old baby laughing?
- 1:02:40Speaker 7: Wow.
- 1:02:41Speaker 1: Take him to the hospital immediately. What about this one?
- 1:02:44Speaker 1: A man was handed earplugs for his MRI.
- 1:02:47Speaker 8: All right.
- 1:02:48Speaker 1: And he swallowed him. What? And the doctor's like, excuse me,
- 1:02:52Speaker 1: what are you doing? He's like, oh, I thought they
- 1:02:54Speaker 1: were pills. Oh.
- 1:02:57Speaker 4: Oh, no.
- 1:02:57Speaker 7: Are you kidding?
- 1:02:59Speaker 1: Now you got to wait for those to come out.
- 1:03:00Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 1:03:01Speaker 1: You're going to be back in ER. A patient had
- 1:03:04Speaker 1: to take some pills before his eye surgery. And he said,
- 1:03:06Speaker 1: I just don't know how we're going to get the
- 1:03:07Speaker 1: pills in my eyes, though. Are people really this crazy?
- 1:03:11Speaker 7: I can't imagine that they are. How am I going
- 1:03:14Speaker 7: to get the pills.
- 1:03:14Speaker 1: In my eyes? He was like, well, the pills are
- 1:03:16Speaker 1: for my eyes because the doctor said these pills are
- 1:03:18Speaker 1: for your eyes. Oh. And he said, well, how am
- 1:03:19Speaker 1: I going to get them in there?
- 1:03:20Speaker 6: You're not, sir.
- 1:03:24Speaker 1: Oh, okay. This guy said one man really didn't know
- 1:03:26Speaker 1: how vasectomies worked. He asked the doctor, can I keep
- 1:03:28Speaker 1: them once you finish the surgery? I think you thought
- 1:03:33Speaker 1: they were going to cut something off.
- 1:03:35Speaker 5: Right. Yeah.
- 1:03:36Speaker 1: Imagine going in there thinking that was going to happen
- 1:03:38Speaker 1: and you were committed to it.
- 1:03:39Speaker 4: Right.
- 1:03:40Speaker 6: You haven't Googled this already?
- 1:03:41Speaker 1: Come on. Take them off. Souvenir. A woman and her
- 1:03:45Speaker 1: boyfriend were both taking birth control pills because they thought
- 1:03:47Speaker 1: that's how that worked. Oh. Yeah. So you take one.
- 1:03:51Speaker 1: I'll take one.
- 1:03:52Speaker 5: No.
- 1:03:54Speaker 1: A patient complained that he coughed whenever he inhaled water
- 1:03:57Speaker 1: in the shower. And the doctor said, yeah, that's called drowning.
- 1:04:04Speaker 6: What do you think?
- 1:04:06Speaker 1: I know. What do you think is like the dumbest
- 1:04:07Speaker 1: thing you've ever done?
- 1:04:09Speaker 6: Oh, my God.
- 1:04:10Speaker 1: We've all done it. We've all done. Like, I can
- 1:04:13Speaker 1: tell you confidently I did the dumbest thing I've ever
- 1:04:15Speaker 1: done this past weekend.
- 1:04:17Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 1:04:18Speaker 1: Like the one of the. Well, mommy, I'm one of
- 1:04:20Speaker 1: the dumbest things. So I'm leaving ACL. Right.
- 1:04:24Speaker 11: Yeah.
- 1:04:25Speaker 1: Now, I love Austin. I've been to Austin five million times.
- 1:04:27Speaker 1: I'm not kidding. At one point in my life, I
- 1:04:29Speaker 1: was going there every two weeks.
- 1:04:31Speaker 8: Right.
- 1:04:31Speaker 1: For a week at a time. I leave ACL. I
- 1:04:34Speaker 1: leave Austin. I'm coming back to Dallas. Life is good. Blah, blah, blah.
- 1:04:37Speaker 1: I'm listening to some music. I'm in the zone. I'm
- 1:04:40Speaker 1: driving down 35, and I'm looking around. All of a sudden,
- 1:04:44Speaker 1: I'm like, this does not look familiar at all. I
- 1:04:47Speaker 1: don't know why. I know I haven't been down here
- 1:04:49Speaker 1: in a while, but it can't change that much. Right.
- 1:04:51Speaker 1: You know? I see a sign that says, welcome to
- 1:04:56Speaker 1: San Antonio.
- 1:04:57Speaker 5: Ha!
- 1:05:02Speaker 1: I was going the wrong way.
- 1:05:04Speaker 8: How?
- 1:05:05Speaker 1: I did not know. I've never done, I've never felt
- 1:05:09Speaker 1: more stupid in my entire life.
- 1:05:13Speaker 6: 35 North, right?
- 1:05:15Speaker 1: Every time.
- 1:05:15Speaker 6: That's literally it.
- 1:05:16Speaker 1: Literally don't, why would I ever need to pull up directions?
- 1:05:19Speaker 1: I know it only goes two ways.
- 1:05:21Speaker 5: Right.
- 1:05:22Speaker 1: North, South, and shocker, but I know where Dallas is
- 1:05:25Speaker 1: on a map.
- 1:05:25Speaker 5: Oh, God.
- 1:05:26Speaker 1: Lived here for almost 30 years. But nope. Welcome to
- 1:05:30Speaker 1: San Antonio.
- 1:05:31Speaker 8: Ah.
- 1:05:33Speaker 1: Go Spurs. I'm like, what? I'm not kidding you. I
- 1:05:37Speaker 1: pulled over and I sat on the side of the
- 1:05:39Speaker 1: road and I was going to eat because I was
- 1:05:41Speaker 1: going to pull over and eat. And I said, I
- 1:05:42Speaker 1: don't deserve to eat. I don't deserve food. Are you
- 1:05:46Speaker 1: mad at yourself? I got I'm telling you on the way.
- 1:05:49Speaker 1: I immediately turned around, headed north. Good. I'm thirty five.
- 1:05:53Speaker 1: And I I at least I got in a fight
- 1:05:55Speaker 1: with myself at least three times on the way home.
- 1:05:58Speaker 1: I yelled at myself nonstop. Can you believe that?
- 1:06:01Speaker 6: No, I can't. That's insane.
- 1:06:02Speaker 1: What an absolute idiot.
- 1:06:04Speaker 6: That's really dumb.
- 1:06:05Speaker 1: Welcome to Houston.
