- 3:39Speaker 8: Whitney for legendary moments.
- 3:42Speaker 5: Alrighty, welcome back to the Son of a Boy Dad podcast. Today.
- 3:46Speaker 5: It is February twenty fourth. It's three forty pm. Late
- 3:54Speaker 5: episode today. Usually I feel like we record at like
- 3:57Speaker 5: seven am.
- 3:58Speaker 3: I wonder what happened? Why are we so of our
- 4:00Speaker 3: normal times?
- 4:02Speaker 5: Not me? I mean, we were supposed to start recording
- 4:04Speaker 5: at three thirty. I was here at three Tyler.
- 4:06Speaker 3: What time you thing?
- 4:06Speaker 5: I got in probably around two fifty.
- 4:09Speaker 1: You bet upstairs the whole time?
- 4:11Speaker 5: Yeah, and then here you're taking a nice little walk
- 4:14Speaker 5: to get yourself whatever that is?
- 4:16Speaker 1: Piss piss. I mean, I thought you'd be downstairs at
- 4:20Speaker 1: your desk.
- 4:21Speaker 5: I don't have a desk.
- 4:22Speaker 1: Yes you do. There's a fantasy football trophy delivered to
- 4:25Speaker 1: your desk.
- 4:25Speaker 5: Oh, that's where it is.
- 4:26Speaker 1: Yes, I've been looking for it's on your desk.
- 4:29Speaker 5: Never would have thought to look there.
- 4:30Speaker 3: You didn't think to text us that you were here
- 4:33Speaker 3: when both of us have been here.
- 4:35Speaker 5: Now I actually didn't at all for hours.
- 4:37Speaker 1: I'm gorging myself on bagels, just out of boredom.
- 4:40Speaker 3: Do you remember when I texted earlier this week?
- 4:41Speaker 5: There was no there was first of all, this was
- 4:43Speaker 5: the plan the whole time. Oh, it wasn't like I
- 4:45Speaker 5: told you guys, I was going to be here at ten.
- 4:47Speaker 3: Do you remember when I said, hey, sass, how are
- 4:49Speaker 3: you looking on timing? Because I have a lot of
- 4:51Speaker 3: shit I need to get to get well. Then you
- 4:54Speaker 3: texted back, you're on time. Yeah, So wouldn't that make
- 4:57Speaker 3: you think that you if you got here early, it
- 5:00Speaker 3: might behoove us to know so we could start.
- 5:03Speaker 5: Well, I assumed you were here. I assumed Rome wasn't.
- 5:06Speaker 5: Be fully honest, Well, he was here. Oh I was here,
- 5:09Speaker 5: not that I'm aware of. I mean, as far as
- 5:10Speaker 5: I know. Francis came in right around three thirty and
- 5:13Speaker 5: you came in at three forty.
- 5:14Speaker 1: I mean you made an ask of you and me, but
- 5:16Speaker 1: you did.
- 5:17Speaker 5: So I was just in Massachusetts and I just flew back,
- 5:21Speaker 5: and uh, this was what I wanted to tell you
- 5:24Speaker 5: guys about. But so I don't know if it let
- 5:27Speaker 5: me know if this is crazy or not. But so
- 5:29Speaker 5: I got sat in. It's the tiny plane, it's the
- 5:33Speaker 5: Delta connections the Shuttle, and I got sat in. I
- 5:37Speaker 5: was in Comfort plus, totally fine with that. And uh,
- 5:40Speaker 5: there was one seat to be upgraded to and in
- 5:44Speaker 5: first class and it was one B and I was
- 5:46Speaker 5: first on the list. And then I scanned my boarding
- 5:49Speaker 5: pass and I was expect fully expected to get upgraded.
- 5:52Speaker 5: And then I didn't get upgraded. And I was like,
- 5:54Speaker 5: oh whatever. I mean, it's like a thirty minute flight.
- 5:56Speaker 5: So I didn't really give a fuck at all. But
- 5:58Speaker 5: I had I have all my luggage and you know,
- 6:01Speaker 5: I have my backpack under the seat, I had my
- 6:04Speaker 5: my bu Duffel bag in the overhead storage. And we're
- 6:07Speaker 5: you know, I'm like headphones on, eyes closed, ready to
- 6:10Speaker 5: take off. And one of the flight attendants comes up
- 6:12Speaker 5: to me and she's like, you got upgraded to one
- 6:14Speaker 5: BEE and I was like, I don't want to sit
- 6:17Speaker 5: It was like, I don't want to sit there. I
- 6:20Speaker 5: was like, can I stay here? And she was like, well,
- 6:23Speaker 5: you're already in the system, is sitting in one BEE
- 6:26Speaker 5: because we upgraded you first. They just never told you
- 6:28Speaker 5: at the gate. But like the overhead bins are all
- 6:31Speaker 5: filled and stuff, and I'm like, I'm like, I don't
- 6:34Speaker 5: really want to sit up there and then have to
- 6:35Speaker 5: like do that awkward thing where I have to like
- 6:37Speaker 5: wait for everyone to get off and then go back
- 6:40Speaker 5: to my seat or try to like barrel through. And
- 6:43Speaker 5: then the dude next to me is like can I
- 6:45Speaker 5: take it? And I was like yeah, sure, and he's like, dude,
- 6:48Speaker 5: are you crazy? You don't want to sit in first class?
- 6:52Speaker 5: I was like, and this is like there's people trying
- 6:55Speaker 5: to board still, the flight attendants standing there, and I'm like, yeah, no,
- 6:59Speaker 5: I really don't. To be honest, I was like, I
- 7:01Speaker 5: don't like sitting in that front row. And it was
- 7:04Speaker 5: like he was he was losing his mind over the
- 7:06Speaker 5: fact that I didn't want the upgrade.
- 7:08Speaker 3: Yeah, what would you do?
- 7:09Speaker 5: You think that's a crazy move.
- 7:11Speaker 3: I think you are the laziest person that has ever
- 7:13Speaker 3: walked the face.
- 7:14Speaker 5: I don't think that that's that crazy, though I hate
- 7:16Speaker 5: that seat because you can't put your backpack in that seat.
- 7:19Speaker 5: They make you put your backpack in the overhead, but
- 7:21Speaker 5: the overhead was already.
- 7:22Speaker 3: You invent the most specious reasons for not walking five,
- 7:27Speaker 3: I don't think.
- 7:28Speaker 5: I don't think it was like I had that thought
- 7:31Speaker 5: in my head. I was like, if they upgrade me,
- 7:32Speaker 5: I'm gonna try and stay and then I get two.
- 7:34Speaker 5: I got two comfort plus seats to myself.
- 7:37Speaker 1: Well you didn't know that. That's completely lucky. But what
- 7:41Speaker 1: did you check to see if there was overhead space?
- 7:44Speaker 2: Uh?
- 7:44Speaker 1: Like in the front of the plane.
- 7:46Speaker 5: Yeah, there wasn't.
- 7:47Speaker 1: There wasn't, There was not.
- 7:48Speaker 5: They were already all closed.
- 7:49Speaker 1: So I guess that that's not that that crazy. I
- 7:52Speaker 1: don't think if that's the reasoning.
- 7:53Speaker 5: Especially because I have my PlayStation in there and I
- 7:55Speaker 5: was worried that they were going to try and make
- 7:56Speaker 5: me check my bag.
- 7:59Speaker 3: Look, I think that would have been the question, is
- 8:02Speaker 3: there any overhead space above the seat?
- 8:04Speaker 5: Oh no, that was like my main reasoning for not
- 8:07Speaker 5: if there was.
- 8:07Speaker 3: But did you ask her? You didn't ask her though,
- 8:09Speaker 3: you assume because it was closed.
- 8:11Speaker 5: No, because I boarded after and they were already there
- 8:13Speaker 5: was already people in first class like scrambling, like trying
- 8:16Speaker 5: to find somewhere to put their bag.
- 8:18Speaker 1: I think that's what you got to say. I just
- 8:19Speaker 1: don't I'll move, but I just don't want to have
- 8:21Speaker 1: to check these bags.
- 8:23Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 8:23Speaker 5: No, I just said I don't want to have to
- 8:25Speaker 5: move my bag.
- 8:26Speaker 3: And then in that event, sometimes what they'll do is
- 8:28Speaker 3: they'll even take your bag and put it in that
- 8:31Speaker 3: captain's closet that's in the front.
- 8:33Speaker 1: Yeah, but sometimes they'll say that's completely off limits, as
- 8:36Speaker 1: if it's horrific that they don't know other planes exist
- 8:40Speaker 1: where the captain's closet is so just getting used by everybody.
- 8:44Speaker 5: Right exactly. Yeah, I don't know. It's my first I've
- 8:46Speaker 5: never declined a first class upgrade before.
- 8:48Speaker 3: But I think that for me, I would have known
- 8:52Speaker 3: that there were probably people around me who you know,
- 8:55Speaker 3: have never sat in first class. Yeah, and that if
- 8:58Speaker 3: I were offered it, I wouldn't want to dishonor their
- 9:04Speaker 3: belief that it is what it is.
- 9:06Speaker 1: Oh wow, I thought you're gonna say he would give
- 9:08Speaker 1: it to.
- 9:08Speaker 3: This no, no, no, I would never. I would never
- 9:11Speaker 3: give it.
- 9:11Speaker 5: I mean I first of all, I felt like the
- 9:13Speaker 5: man for giving it to that guy. He was fucking fired,
- 9:16Speaker 5: was he he was fired?
- 9:17Speaker 3: He was like, are you crazy? Yeah, because you're like, yeah, whatever,
- 9:21Speaker 3: I don't even want it. It's not that great. I
- 9:24Speaker 3: can't even put my bags, blah blah. Look how far
- 9:27Speaker 3: away it is.
- 9:29Speaker 5: I think you're over I think you're overthinking the far
- 9:33Speaker 5: The far away thing wasn't really much of a factor.
- 9:35Speaker 5: You made it a.
- 9:35Speaker 1: Factor because you said you didn't want to have to
- 9:37Speaker 1: go all the way back to your bag.
- 9:39Speaker 5: No, I didn't want to do that because I had to.
- 9:41Speaker 5: I had to do the podcast. So I was like,
- 9:42Speaker 5: I don't want to have to be put in a
- 9:43Speaker 5: situation where I'm gonna have to stand at the front
- 9:46Speaker 5: of the plane while everyone's getting off. Listen to this
- 9:48Speaker 5: and wait until he says.
- 9:51Speaker 3: He didn't want to be late for the pod by
- 9:54Speaker 3: having to go wait for everyone to get.
- 9:55Speaker 5: Off to my family explaining it, and I said, I
- 9:58Speaker 5: have to get off the plane.
- 9:59Speaker 3: If that's true, then why did you not fucking text
- 10:03Speaker 3: us when you got here forty minutes early?
- 10:05Speaker 5: Because I was I didn't text you guys when I
- 10:08Speaker 5: got here, because I knew you were here, and I
- 10:10Speaker 5: thought you were gonna come up.
- 10:12Speaker 1: You knew I was here.
- 10:13Speaker 3: You we didn't know you're here. You come up to
- 10:15Speaker 3: the third floor, I think.
- 10:17Speaker 5: Right now, I go to the second floor.
- 10:18Speaker 3: Yeah, and then you just go right up the stairs.
- 10:21Speaker 5: I just assume, you know, three thirty, like people are
- 10:23Speaker 5: gonna be in there. Like I didn't text time and hey, guys,
- 10:26Speaker 5: come start recording.
- 10:27Speaker 1: They were were downstairs holding court. We were fucking just ripping,
- 10:32Speaker 1: uh like the TikTok.
- 10:33Speaker 5: When if I ever texted you guys and said, hey,
- 10:35Speaker 5: I'm on, we were.
- 10:36Speaker 1: Downstairs fucking just busting it up with all of our
- 10:39Speaker 1: co workers. We were about to start a union if
- 10:41Speaker 1: they gave us fifteen more minutes.
- 10:43Speaker 5: You're on you, guys, that's on you. We were can
- 10:46Speaker 5: go unionized downstairs.
- 10:47Speaker 1: I'm saying that we're down there like having the time
- 10:49Speaker 1: of our life. If you would just peach your head
- 10:51Speaker 1: around the corner, you would have heard our booming voices
- 10:53Speaker 1: on our shopboxes talking about I assumed because we're.
- 10:56Speaker 5: Already up here waiting for me. So I just barreled
- 10:58Speaker 5: right up. And I also had to take a big ship,
- 11:01Speaker 5: which I already explained to Francis pre podcast, so that
- 11:04Speaker 5: should you should know from that that I was, And
- 11:07Speaker 5: that was the reason I wasn't saying, come up.
- 11:09Speaker 3: I don't even know what. I don't know what it's
- 11:11Speaker 3: like trying to talk to you. It's because it's like you.
- 11:15Speaker 3: You have the maturity and the wit of an adult
- 11:20Speaker 3: with the reasoning of a child, and it's a very
- 11:24Speaker 3: powerful combination because you can't argue with you because I
- 11:28Speaker 3: know you're I respect you.
- 11:30Speaker 5: This wasn't the This wasn't the.
- 11:32Speaker 3: Logic is so fucking tangled.
- 11:35Speaker 5: This wasn't the point of the of the topic. The
- 11:37Speaker 5: topic was to see if you guys thought if you
- 11:39Speaker 5: guys would ever give up a first class seat.
- 11:41Speaker 3: I was willing to address the topic as you presented
- 11:44Speaker 3: it until you said that you knew you were going
- 11:47Speaker 3: to be late for the podcast if you had to
- 11:49Speaker 3: go back to get your bags, which was so at
- 11:51Speaker 3: odds with what you told us as to about getting
- 11:55Speaker 3: here to fit.
- 11:55Speaker 5: Well, realistically, I probably wouldn't have been late because I
- 11:58Speaker 5: got here early. Regardless.
- 12:00Speaker 3: Well then there goes that reason.
- 12:02Speaker 5: Yeah, but that was my mindset when I was on
- 12:04Speaker 5: the plane. I couldn't predict the future.
- 12:08Speaker 3: I give up.
- 12:10Speaker 5: You don't. You've never had that problem where you're where
- 12:12Speaker 5: you're get where you're up front, but your bags are
- 12:14Speaker 5: in the back, and you're like, fuck, this is gonna suck.
- 12:16Speaker 3: Yeah. I think what I will typically do, especially if
- 12:18Speaker 3: it's a really small plane. I know those planes, is
- 12:20Speaker 3: I might pass the.
- 12:21Speaker 5: Old Tell those planes, what are they?
- 12:23Speaker 3: There's one seat on the left and two on the what's.
- 12:26Speaker 5: The name of the plane?
- 12:27Speaker 3: Oh no, that's not what I meant.
- 12:28Speaker 5: CRJ nine hundred.
- 12:29Speaker 3: Great, how many trains are you playing with?
- 12:32Speaker 5: Like, just we can't you can't be thrown out. I
- 12:37Speaker 5: know those planes.
- 12:38Speaker 3: I meant I am familiar with the layout of your plane.
- 12:43Speaker 3: And what I would have done in that situation is
- 12:46Speaker 3: I might have played the telephone game and passed the
- 12:48Speaker 3: word back. How many seats back? Was was your your
- 12:51Speaker 3: comfort plus to first? That's not many seats.
- 12:54Speaker 5: It would have been six seats.
- 12:55Speaker 3: Six seats you can get word back to someone. It's
- 12:58Speaker 3: a duffel back, but it's not even a roller.
- 13:00Speaker 5: It's fragile.
- 13:01Speaker 3: There's a bunch of gorillas that are going to be
- 13:06Speaker 3: banging pretty much.
- 13:07Speaker 5: Yeah, you should see how they handle their roller back.
- 13:09Speaker 3: I'm so sorry.
- 13:10Speaker 5: I have all like one middle hanging off of them.
- 13:13Speaker 3: Whatever it is. Tell them there's glassware inside.
- 13:16Speaker 5: There's better than glassware, fine plastic.
- 13:20Speaker 3: And you get word to someone six rows back. It's
- 13:23Speaker 3: like at the end of Crocodile dundee.
- 13:26Speaker 5: You know, that's what That's what I didn't like was
- 13:28Speaker 5: that when the guy took my seat, he goes, he goes.
- 13:31Speaker 5: His first thing, he says, he goes, You're gonna have
- 13:33Speaker 5: to give me my bag though when we land, and
- 13:36Speaker 5: I was like, no, that's not that's the reason that
- 13:38Speaker 5: I'm not taking the seat.
- 13:40Speaker 3: You are such an asshole.
- 13:41Speaker 5: I mean I helped him with his bag, obviously.
- 13:43Speaker 3: Right, and that was totally fine.
- 13:46Speaker 1: Yeah, and it proved Francis's point that it was possible. Yeah,
- 13:50Speaker 1: the guy could get his bag. I don't know was
- 13:52Speaker 1: he first went off still or did he have to wait.
- 13:54Speaker 5: From not the first one. I think I was off
- 13:56Speaker 5: before he was, so.
- 13:57Speaker 1: He waited for you to come by with his bag.
- 14:00Speaker 3: Yes, is that true?
- 14:01Speaker 5: He waited and he waited like he was not even
- 14:03Speaker 5: close to the first person off go back and get
- 14:06Speaker 5: his bag, and then he had to go back and
- 14:07Speaker 5: get his carrying.
- 14:08Speaker 3: But you said that, you you you only brought one
- 14:11Speaker 3: of his bags.
- 14:12Speaker 5: He had two bags. He had one that was in
- 14:14Speaker 5: the overhead, and then he had the backpack that was
- 14:16Speaker 5: under the seat, which he had to put above somewhere.
- 14:19Speaker 5: I don't know where he put it. He was scrambling.
- 14:22Speaker 3: M hmm.
- 14:22Speaker 5: I saw, H'm gonna have him one of these, which
- 14:23Speaker 5: also proves that there's a space for your backpack to
- 14:26Speaker 5: go up ahead into the bag wasn't right above him.
- 14:28Speaker 5: I told you his back.
- 14:30Speaker 1: Student.
- 14:31Speaker 3: He had one.
- 14:31Speaker 5: He had one bag in five B and he had
- 14:33Speaker 5: one bag in thirty eight F.
- 14:34Speaker 3: I'm gonna go. I'm gonna go ahead right now. I'm
- 14:36Speaker 3: gonna say you're lying about what I think you're lying.
- 14:39Speaker 3: I think you've made up lies.
- 14:43Speaker 5: I texted you guys, and I said, I got a
- 14:44Speaker 5: good story. I want to talk about it.
- 14:46Speaker 3: But now we are deep into the weeds, and you
- 14:48Speaker 3: are adding more weeds.
- 14:50Speaker 5: There's weed, weeds have been at it. There you go,
- 14:54Speaker 5: there you go, because we found no idea how many
- 14:57Speaker 5: bags he had. You, you fucking cunt, I know. But
- 15:05Speaker 5: he was not the first person off the plane, and
- 15:08Speaker 5: I was off before he was.
- 15:13Speaker 1: About bags.
- 15:15Speaker 5: Well, I know, I found myself in a hole that
- 15:17Speaker 5: I was clearly losing, so I had to start adding
- 15:20Speaker 5: in details.
- 15:21Speaker 3: I know you, I know your game. I know your game.
- 15:26Speaker 1: I thought you were just exaggerating that it was thirty
- 15:28Speaker 1: eight f. I didn't know you're making a bag.
- 15:30Speaker 5: No, he did, definitely, he definitely he had a carry on.
- 15:33Speaker 5: I don't know where he put his back his other bag.
- 15:35Speaker 5: I know he had a bag above me.
- 15:36Speaker 3: Though, when you when you talk to like the rest
- 15:39Speaker 3: of the people in your life, do they just take
- 15:41Speaker 3: every youth everything you say at face value, because I
- 15:44Speaker 3: feel like you came in expecting to tell this story
- 15:47Speaker 3: and have us to be like, yeah, that you made
- 15:49Speaker 3: the right call.
- 15:50Speaker 5: No, but that's usually what happens. Usually I come in
- 15:52Speaker 5: with that idea and then you guys just shit all
- 15:54Speaker 5: over it. Usually I come in with I'm like, oh,
- 15:57Speaker 5: this is gonna be a good topic for the story,
- 15:59Speaker 5: and then it all this time and starts coming down
- 16:00Speaker 5: to like how I'm a bad person.
- 16:03Speaker 3: But if we just agreed with you, then it wouldn't be.
- 16:08Speaker 5: Also, and also, to answer your question, no, that doesn't
- 16:10Speaker 5: happened to me in real life because I'm not trying
- 16:12Speaker 5: to be funny when I'm talking to people all the time.
- 16:14Speaker 5: Fair enough trying to be funny on the podcast.
- 16:16Speaker 1: Still eat that part. Do not let people know you're
- 16:19Speaker 1: trying to be funny on the podcast.
- 16:21Speaker 5: Yeah, yeah, no I am. That's the goal of the show.
- 16:24Speaker 1: I think a lot of people's illusion is just that
- 16:27Speaker 1: you're just like living your life as you live your life.
- 16:30Speaker 5: Well, some of the things are Like the thing about
- 16:32Speaker 5: me recording my outfits was for some reason, people were
- 16:36Speaker 5: like really riled up about that.
- 16:39Speaker 3: Why I told you they would be.
- 16:41Speaker 5: Yeah, people were saying I was gay.
- 16:43Speaker 3: I didn't think that a people calling me.
- 16:45Speaker 5: Gay, gay man, you're gay? A flamer. Some were saying, yeah,
- 16:51Speaker 5: you're gay.
- 16:53Speaker 3: Hurt.
- 16:55Speaker 5: You know what that does to me? It makes me upset. No,
- 16:58Speaker 5: not think there's anything wrong with being.
- 16:59Speaker 1: Gay, but it's just a misrepresentation.
- 17:02Speaker 5: Misrepresentation of who I am as a person.
- 17:04Speaker 3: Did you do the outfit check today? No? You said
- 17:08Speaker 3: you have thousands of videos if I do what I
- 17:11Speaker 3: told you.
- 17:11Speaker 5: I told you. If it's an outfit that I've already
- 17:12Speaker 5: worn multiple times, I don't need to check this. On
- 17:15Speaker 5: the Monday episode.
- 17:16Speaker 1: Last week with the Red sox.
- 17:18Speaker 5: No, I don't think I wore the red sox. Someone
- 17:20Speaker 5: could check.
- 17:20Speaker 3: I might have.
- 17:21Speaker 1: In no way, what do you washed your socks in between?
- 17:25Speaker 3: Then?
- 17:26Speaker 5: No, I washed my I washed my clothes at home yesterday.
- 17:28Speaker 1: Oh so those are fresh socks, so it could be
- 17:29Speaker 1: the same socks.
- 17:30Speaker 5: It could be the same socks, yes.
- 17:32Speaker 1: Because if you wash them, that would be the bottom
- 17:34Speaker 1: of one pile the top of the next pile.
- 17:37Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 17:37Speaker 5: I don't know what that means. So when I washed
- 17:38Speaker 5: my clothes, it's just all one pile, fair bottom, more top.
- 17:46Speaker 3: I have sides. Do you want to Is there more?
- 17:49Speaker 3: Is that good?
- 17:50Speaker 5: No? No, no's just let's just start here, honestly, scratch
- 17:53Speaker 5: scratch that.
- 17:54Speaker 3: Wait a minute, I think there's some there's some fairness
- 18:00Speaker 3: to your decision. You knew that you cannot put your seat,
- 18:04Speaker 3: your bags under your seat. You're already settled, you have
- 18:07Speaker 3: a it's a very short flight. Yeah, it's not the
- 18:09Speaker 3: craziest thing to not move.
- 18:12Speaker 5: That's all I wanted to hear. I don't know why,
- 18:13Speaker 5: I'm why I'm just hearing this now though.
- 18:17Speaker 1: We just had well into it.
- 18:19Speaker 3: I think initially I was trying to answer in a
- 18:21Speaker 3: funny way, myself, which was to trek, you're making the
- 18:24Speaker 3: blue collar guy feel he was not blue cu he
- 18:27Speaker 3: was wearing a suit. Yeah, but he's that's a men's warehouse.
- 18:31Speaker 3: It was men's warehouse for sure, because he.
- 18:33Speaker 5: Was stunned that was a cross suit.
- 18:36Speaker 3: Yeah, he's stunned that anyone wouldn't take the upgrade to
- 18:41Speaker 3: a first class seat on a flight to New York
- 18:43Speaker 3: from Boston, which is thirty five to forty minutes.
- 18:45Speaker 5: Yeah, but I think I I think I ended up
- 18:47Speaker 5: getting the better seat. Could be because the dude next
- 18:51Speaker 5: the dude in the aisle next to me was the
- 18:52Speaker 5: was we know, and it does randomly. There's like another
- 18:54Speaker 5: pilot on the plane. There was a pilot, and he
- 18:57Speaker 5: had two comfort place seats to himself, and I'm assuming
- 19:01Speaker 5: they probably asked him if you wanted to sit first class.
- 19:04Speaker 3: No, they never give the pilots that really, not really,
- 19:06Speaker 3: as far as I've ever seen, they never put the
- 19:09Speaker 3: pilots that are, you know, jumping a board.
- 19:11Speaker 5: Yeah, I guess that makes sense, but you know, me
- 19:14Speaker 5: and him, we were comfortable.
- 19:16Speaker 1: It probably changed that guy's life who got upgraded to
- 19:19Speaker 1: first class.
- 19:19Speaker 5: He didn't get upgraded.
- 19:20Speaker 1: I still got upgraded, but who got who sat in
- 19:23Speaker 1: first class?
- 19:23Speaker 5: That I actually kind of was worried about that. I
- 19:27Speaker 5: was like, can they scratch that upgrade from my record?
- 19:29Speaker 5: Because I don't want them thinking like well, because maybe
- 19:31Speaker 5: next time they're gonna be like, well, he got upgraded
- 19:33Speaker 5: last week, so we're not going to give him money.
- 19:34Speaker 3: It was more like, he got upgraded, but he didn't
- 19:38Speaker 3: take except take it. This is a guy who doesn't
- 19:42Speaker 3: appret we do nice things for him. It's the same
- 19:46Speaker 3: reason I would never buy you a gift.
- 19:48Speaker 5: But it's not they're not. First of all, they're not
- 19:49Speaker 5: doing nice things for me. I got upgraded because I
- 19:52Speaker 5: give them boatloads of money.
- 19:54Speaker 3: That's entitlement.
- 19:55Speaker 5: How is that entitlement?
- 19:56Speaker 3: You're entitled?
- 19:57Speaker 5: That's not entitled.
- 19:58Speaker 3: You're saying I got upgraded because I to be upgraded.
- 20:01Speaker 5: I got upgrady because I fly more than everyone else
- 20:03Speaker 5: on that finmentitlement. That's not entitlement. That's the truth. That's
- 20:06Speaker 5: how the system.
- 20:07Speaker 3: You're saying you deserve to be upgraded more than that
- 20:10Speaker 3: that men's warehouse guy.
- 20:11Speaker 5: I know it's not at all what I'm saying. I'm
- 20:13Speaker 5: saying I obviously was upgraded first because I was the
- 20:16Speaker 5: only I think I was the only Diamond Medallion member
- 20:18Speaker 5: on the flight.
- 20:19Speaker 3: Big assumption.
- 20:20Speaker 1: That's a crazy assumption.
- 20:21Speaker 5: And why would I. I checked in like an hour
- 20:23Speaker 5: before the flight and I was instantly bumped up to
- 20:25Speaker 5: number one.
- 20:26Speaker 1: Are these going to count for your m q ms,
- 20:28Speaker 1: the first class m q ms, because there's a multiplier
- 20:31Speaker 1: on the mqms if you sit in first class?
- 20:33Speaker 3: Right, yeah, but they don't. They don't give you. They
- 20:35Speaker 3: only give you the original price of the ticket. They
- 20:37Speaker 3: don't they don't give you more mpuds as a result
- 20:40Speaker 3: getting mompds.
- 20:41Speaker 5: No, it won't affect my mpds. M q ms don't
- 20:46Speaker 5: even really exist.
- 20:47Speaker 3: They don't exist anymore. It's all mqds that's been flying
- 20:50Speaker 3: this year.
- 20:51Speaker 1: I haven't flying it. I've been landlocked.
- 20:53Speaker 5: Kind of feel like, why do I see you plateauing
- 20:55Speaker 5: at silver this year?
- 20:57Speaker 1: I really, I really might. I wish it would roll
- 21:01Speaker 1: over miles.
- 21:02Speaker 3: All right, Well, speaking of credit, let's talk about the
- 21:05Speaker 3: steaks really quick. Okay, I want to talk about the
- 21:08Speaker 3: stakes first of all, brilliant set up from Rome. Checkout
- 21:13Speaker 3: rone dot com. Show's flying. It's gonna be bigger than
- 21:15Speaker 3: Son of a Boy Dad in a matter of weeks.
- 21:17Speaker 1: It's not true at all. But it's hilarious that I'm
- 21:20Speaker 1: getting any credit for doing this video when it was
- 21:23Speaker 1: just YouTube got just being hilarious and cooking steaks. I
- 21:27Speaker 1: didn't do anything or anything funny. I just kind of
- 21:29Speaker 1: stood there in the background.
- 21:31Speaker 3: Well, that's like game on.
- 21:31Speaker 1: The group project.
- 21:32Speaker 3: That's like saying that, you know, America's Got Talent would
- 21:35Speaker 3: be just the same without Nick Cannon. We all know
- 21:38Speaker 3: he's the secret sauce.
- 21:41Speaker 5: Is he on America's Got Talent?
- 21:42Speaker 3: Jerry Terry Cruse or is that.
- 21:44Speaker 1: The voice he's on the sideline. He's like on the
- 21:47Speaker 1: side stage and he always has like their mom and
- 21:50Speaker 1: like stepdad there like look he's about to do it.
- 21:54Speaker 1: Make mm hmm. Well it went well though, And you guys, uh,
- 22:00Speaker 1: I mean, there's a lot of people kind of lobbying
- 22:02Speaker 1: for both of your steaks who have tasted better, which
- 22:04Speaker 1: is a crazy thing to loby for if you.
- 22:06Speaker 5: Know, I don't think anyone was. I didn't see anyone
- 22:09Speaker 5: lobbying for mine. A lot of people are everyone. A
- 22:12Speaker 5: lot of the people in Boston, everyone that came up
- 22:14Speaker 5: to me. The first thing they said there was like
- 22:15Speaker 5: they were like, dude, you do not know how to
- 22:17Speaker 5: cook a snake, and I was like, oh yeah, thanks.
- 22:20Speaker 5: I was like, what about this? Did you like the show?
- 22:24Speaker 5: I just put everything I have into that show, and
- 22:28Speaker 5: all they wanted to say was talk about the steak video?
- 22:30Speaker 3: Yeah?
- 22:31Speaker 1: Did it move tickets though? Did it move overs?
- 22:34Speaker 2: No?
- 22:34Speaker 5: I have no idea.
- 22:35Speaker 1: Yeah, or the show's already sold out? Yeah, dude, I
- 22:39Speaker 1: got you sold out in Boston off that video. I know,
- 22:42Speaker 1: pretty crazy least I could do, But I mean I
- 22:44Speaker 1: think that it's important to note that, Well, I don't know,
- 22:48Speaker 1: maybe if there is a debate about it, that everybody
- 22:51Speaker 1: tried the steaks and everybody thought franstance.
- 22:53Speaker 5: Everyone, everyone, even like Owen was pulling for me. And
- 22:56Speaker 5: then he took a bite of it and then he
- 22:57Speaker 5: spit it out.
- 22:59Speaker 1: Well he was choking.
- 23:00Speaker 3: Yeah, he's a vegetarian as a result of what he
- 23:04Speaker 3: tasted from your steak. But here's the thing, ready, So
- 23:08Speaker 3: Ron set up this fun idea that whoever won would
- 23:12Speaker 3: get to choose how much of the cash they took home.
- 23:15Speaker 3: And he had laid it all out in a big bundle,
- 23:18Speaker 3: and Sas had been you know, up my ass. The
- 23:22Speaker 3: whole time, talking a ton of shit, putting my brain
- 23:25Speaker 3: in a blender, causing me to misread the meat thermometer,
- 23:29Speaker 3: probably bring my steak to a medium instead of a
- 23:32Speaker 3: medium rare, which is what I ultimately wanted. Just very distracting, hurtful.
- 23:37Speaker 5: Medium is a stretch.
- 23:38Speaker 3: It was medium, there was pink, well done. No it wasn't.
- 23:43Speaker 3: It wasn't. You're out of your mind. I don't even
- 23:46Speaker 3: want to There's nothing you said. I've never seen someone
- 23:52Speaker 3: cook a steak the way you did. Well to say
- 23:55Speaker 3: in like fucking chunks, cooked it in chunks.
- 23:59Speaker 5: That's honestly, I will not lie. That is. I've cooked
- 24:01Speaker 5: many steaks like that before. Go for I've cooked them
- 24:04Speaker 5: and I've been like, no, that's completely raw, and then
- 24:06Speaker 5: just throw them back in and halves.
- 24:08Speaker 3: It's not that hard. You should do it the way
- 24:11Speaker 3: I did. That's the basic way to do it.
- 24:13Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 24:13Speaker 3: No, see, you're both sides in a cast iron and
- 24:16Speaker 3: finish in the oven.
- 24:17Speaker 5: You shouldn't have even I don't have an oven.
- 24:19Speaker 3: Yes you do.
- 24:21Speaker 5: I swear on my life. You don't have an oven.
- 24:24Speaker 3: An oven. You don't have an oven.
- 24:26Speaker 5: You've been to my apartment, did you see an oven.
- 24:28Speaker 3: I saw you have burners.
- 24:29Speaker 5: I have burners, and.
- 24:30Speaker 3: There's no oven where.
- 24:32Speaker 5: There's a refrigerator beneath it. Where would the oven? You
- 24:34Speaker 5: have a refrigerator beneath your burners? I dud, I told
- 24:38Speaker 5: you I have a hot plate. That is all I
- 24:41Speaker 5: have is hot I.
- 24:42Speaker 3: Never heard of the hot cold hybrid.
- 24:47Speaker 5: Burner burners and pull them off of the counter in
- 24:53Speaker 5: order to do what I'm just saying. There's nothing like
- 24:56Speaker 5: they're not They're just hot plates.
- 24:59Speaker 3: You four hot plates? It's two only two?
- 25:02Speaker 1: Four?
- 25:02Speaker 3: Are they coils?
- 25:04Speaker 5: No?
- 25:05Speaker 1: Bro?
- 25:06Speaker 3: What what is your son? Dude?
- 25:10Speaker 5: It's literally a hot plate. You can you can buy
- 25:13Speaker 5: a hot How did you sign this lease? Because I
- 25:16Speaker 5: didn't care about having a stove?
- 25:19Speaker 3: That's such a basic.
- 25:21Speaker 5: Come on, I have like one of those, like an
- 25:23Speaker 5: apartment microwaves.
- 25:25Speaker 3: Wait wait that came with the apartment.
- 25:28Speaker 1: Yeah you also have a fireplace. Yeah?
- 25:31Speaker 5: True, I could put them in the fireplace, throw the
- 25:36Speaker 5: steaks over the fire and boil and chuck them in
- 25:40Speaker 5: the fireplace. Is not active?
- 25:43Speaker 3: Oh my god, somehow I'm gonna get fucking mox for
- 25:46Speaker 3: being like classist for assuming that you would have an oven.
- 25:50Speaker 3: But to me, that is I've never.
- 25:53Speaker 5: I've had an oven in every other apartment I've lived in.
- 25:55Speaker 3: That's such a basic. I think that's his basic, almost
- 25:58Speaker 3: as like having a shower.
- 26:01Speaker 5: Yeah, pretty much.
- 26:04Speaker 1: So I guess you're just not baking. I mean ovens
- 26:06Speaker 1: are it had?
- 26:08Speaker 5: Like the microwave claims you can bake in it.
- 26:11Speaker 3: It's probably a convection microwave.
- 26:13Speaker 5: I don't know, but I don't know if I trust that.
- 26:15Speaker 5: All right, let's leave in the microwave.
- 26:18Speaker 3: No, you're not doing that well. It the way you.
- 26:22Speaker 5: If I put a cast iron in my microwave, it
- 26:24Speaker 5: would explode.
- 26:26Speaker 3: Yes, you can't put metal in your microwave. I don't think.
- 26:31Speaker 5: We don't know, we don't know what kind of microwave
- 26:33Speaker 5: it is.
- 26:33Speaker 3: That's how you that's how you ignite a home. After
- 26:36Speaker 3: you've ripped the gas valve out and the bad guys
- 26:39Speaker 3: are coming in after you, you throw a bunch of
- 26:42Speaker 3: you throw a set it to baked potato, and then
- 26:46Speaker 3: you haul ass set it to bake.
- 26:48Speaker 5: There is a baked potato setting for sure.
- 26:50Speaker 3: Yeah. So okay, what was I going to say? Well, okay,
- 26:55Speaker 3: so you you uh you? I I went in and
- 27:00Speaker 3: I took the money, and he said it was like
- 27:02Speaker 3: five hundred plus dollars. I know exactly how much it was.
- 27:05Speaker 3: It was like, uh, I don't I don't even was
- 27:10Speaker 3: it five hundred six hundred? No? But how much I took?
- 27:14Speaker 5: Oh, I have no idea.
- 27:15Speaker 1: It was four hundred.
- 27:16Speaker 3: Something, Yeah, four hundred something.
- 27:18Speaker 1: I said it eighty six dollars it was. I didn't
- 27:20Speaker 1: take the time to count it, and it wound up
- 27:22Speaker 1: being yeah, right, there were one hundred and sixteen dollars
- 27:24Speaker 1: left over, so you took.
- 27:26Speaker 3: Oh really, wow, that's bad.
- 27:29Speaker 1: Or maybe it was more.
- 27:30Speaker 3: I thought I left you more. Point is I took
- 27:34Speaker 3: whatever all that amount, and then you went in and
- 27:37Speaker 3: took five dollars and you came out and said you
- 27:40Speaker 3: wanted to leave the money for the crew. And you
- 27:43Speaker 3: got the credit for being the generous mister Sasquatch that
- 27:47Speaker 3: the world thinks you are, which is the biggest load
- 27:50Speaker 3: of horseshit of all time, because then you just walked
- 27:55Speaker 3: out and counted out stacks of money and handed each
- 28:01Speaker 3: person fifty bucks.
- 28:03Speaker 5: Look that's you going over the top because you saw
- 28:05Speaker 5: that I did a good fact.
- 28:06Speaker 3: I had no idea you had said that you never
- 28:09Speaker 3: gave any money to anybody.
- 28:11Speaker 5: I didn't need to put it in their pockets.
- 28:12Speaker 3: Did that extra loose money get rounded up and brought
- 28:15Speaker 3: to the crew, No.
- 28:16Speaker 5: Sask and took it out, not even close to us.
- 28:21Speaker 3: That your first class protection.
- 28:24Speaker 5: That's actually that's like I could take you to court
- 28:26Speaker 5: over that. That is it's mustard on my jacket, ruining
- 28:32Speaker 5: my reputation on video, And it's not. I didn't take
- 28:35Speaker 5: dog shit. I took five dollars, to be honest with you.
- 28:39Speaker 1: Definitely took the five and then you took the rest
- 28:41Speaker 1: of it. And Francis doled out stacks of fifty fifty
- 28:45Speaker 1: one dollars.
- 28:46Speaker 5: My exact this is exactly what cre I walked in.
- 28:49Speaker 5: Roan said, I let Francis say, decide how much you
- 28:52Speaker 5: guys get, decide how much you think you deserve. And
- 28:55Speaker 5: I said, I think I deserve five dollars. And then
- 28:57Speaker 5: my exact words were, I took five dollars like Trump
- 29:00Speaker 5: taking one dollar for his salary as president. I don't
- 29:03Speaker 5: know if he did that this time around. I think
- 29:04Speaker 5: he did that the first time around.
- 29:06Speaker 1: This time he needs the money.
- 29:07Speaker 5: He needs the money this time. But uh, and then
- 29:10Speaker 5: I said, I left my and I was just I
- 29:11Speaker 5: think I was just talking out of my ass. I said,
- 29:13Speaker 5: I left it for the crew.
- 29:15Speaker 3: Yeah, and then everyone gave you credit for being magnanimous,
- 29:17Speaker 3: but the truth was that you were not magnanimous.
- 29:20Speaker 1: I saw him take one of the fifty dollars stacks
- 29:22Speaker 1: that you would put out for the crew. No, he
- 29:24Speaker 1: was counting himself as a writer.
- 29:25Speaker 5: Yeah, well, definitely, I.
- 29:27Speaker 3: Don't mind if you took that fifty dollars stack if
- 29:30Speaker 3: it means I buy yourself a fucking oven. Probably what
- 29:33Speaker 3: they called I.
- 29:34Speaker 5: Don't think ovens cost fifty dollars.
- 29:36Speaker 1: Easy bake oven is basically a child's toy.
- 29:38Speaker 5: Well, you know I have an I guess that's still
- 29:41Speaker 5: a burner.
- 29:42Speaker 3: You could probably get one at a yard sale.
- 29:46Speaker 5: An oven, Yeah, I gotta be pretty tough to move.
- 29:50Speaker 3: Let's let's start inventing reasons why you can't get an
- 29:53Speaker 3: oven or just.
- 29:53Speaker 1: Put what do you put it in?
- 29:54Speaker 5: Them?
- 29:54Speaker 3: On the fire? Here?
- 29:55Speaker 5: Am I? I think there's pretty clear reasons as to
- 29:58Speaker 5: why I haven't bought an oven. Where am I gonna
- 30:01Speaker 5: put the oven in the fireplace? Throw it in the
- 30:05Speaker 5: smack in the middle of the living room.
- 30:07Speaker 3: Look, man, I don't know how you range your apartment.
- 30:10Speaker 3: But all I know is that you said you had
- 30:12Speaker 3: no room for a mirror. Now you're telling me there's
- 30:14Speaker 3: no room for an oven.
- 30:15Speaker 5: There's no Next, you're gonna tell me there's.
- 30:17Speaker 3: No room for you know me to come hang out.
- 30:20Speaker 5: There isn't. There definitely isn't.
- 30:22Speaker 1: But you've got the biggest couch.
- 30:24Speaker 3: Man, you have a.
- 30:26Speaker 5: Nice couch.
- 30:27Speaker 1: It's a big couch, right, It's huge, But it's a good.
- 30:30Speaker 3: Couch, perfect place to sleep if you're in town. It
- 30:33Speaker 3: is to see a friend hosting SNL.
- 30:35Speaker 1: Yeah, I mean that that is true, But I don't
- 30:40Speaker 1: that you could have used a smaller couch and put
- 30:42Speaker 1: the rest of the ship in your in your apartment.
- 30:47Speaker 5: So you think if I went like with a smaller couch,
- 30:49Speaker 5: I could have just thrown an oven in the middle.
- 30:51Speaker 5: I think, Look, do you think the couch was taking
- 30:53Speaker 5: up the oven space? Yes, you have a wrapper around
- 30:56Speaker 5: Where would the oven go?
- 30:59Speaker 1: Your couch trickle down your hallway and it curls into
- 31:02Speaker 1: your kitchen.
- 31:03Speaker 5: I have a three person couch.
- 31:04Speaker 3: Let me ask you something. Can I ask you an
- 31:06Speaker 3: honest question?
- 31:06Speaker 5: Yes?
- 31:07Speaker 3: I want you to just drop all pretense for one second. Yes,
- 31:10Speaker 3: I want you to look me in the eye and
- 31:12Speaker 3: talk to me straighty. Okay, are you going to take
- 31:16Speaker 3: any of the stuff that he and I say with
- 31:19Speaker 3: you forward in life?
- 31:21Speaker 5: What like, give me an example of what I should
- 31:24Speaker 5: be taking forward.
- 31:25Speaker 3: I don't know that you should have a full length mirror,
- 31:28Speaker 3: that you should have an oven.
- 31:31Speaker 5: Dude, the oven. I don't think you guys are understanding
- 31:33Speaker 5: the oven situation. Where would I put an oven? Is?
- 31:36Speaker 5: We're acting like an oven is something that you're just
- 31:38Speaker 5: like put in your pocket. I think that fucking it's
- 31:41Speaker 5: the size of my keys. I don't know. I think, yeah,
- 31:45Speaker 5: I'm aware I should have an oven. There's nothing I
- 31:47Speaker 5: can do about.
- 31:47Speaker 3: These, among many of the sort of lessons that we
- 31:51Speaker 3: have countered against your very opaque logic over the years.
- 31:57Speaker 3: And my question is, at some point, this strange world
- 32:01Speaker 3: that you live in is not going to make sense
- 32:04Speaker 3: anymore as a twenty eight year old, as a thirty
- 32:06Speaker 3: year old.
- 32:07Speaker 5: I'm sure I'll figure I'm sure I'll figure that out
- 32:09Speaker 5: by the time that I'm thirty, But.
- 32:10Speaker 3: But you're you're not figuring it out, not thirty.
- 32:14Speaker 5: I'm seven years until i'm thirty.
- 32:16Speaker 3: I'm I love it because it cracks me up and
- 32:19Speaker 3: it's endearing. However, at some point I will start to
- 32:22Speaker 3: worry about you. I think.
- 32:25Speaker 1: At some point, dude, just get married and like an
- 32:27Speaker 1: oven and a mirror in the house.
- 32:30Speaker 3: Good, good, Okay, that's fair.
- 32:33Speaker 5: That's I get the mirror thing like I get. Yeah,
- 32:35Speaker 5: I should have a mirror. First of all, I have
- 32:37Speaker 5: a mirror. There's a mirror in my bathroom. It's just
- 32:40Speaker 5: a face mirror though. But uh so, don't say I
- 32:43Speaker 5: don't have any It's not like I have No, it's
- 32:44Speaker 5: not there's no way seeing myself and I have a phone,
- 32:48Speaker 5: and and then the oven. It's just you guys have
- 32:53Speaker 5: been to my apartment. There's nowhere from me. I've never
- 32:56Speaker 5: I didn't even know you could do that in New
- 32:58Speaker 5: York City. Well, I didn't know you could just buy
- 33:00Speaker 5: your own oven and put it in the apartment.
- 33:04Speaker 1: You head out, get a head over to Blackendecker, go
- 33:07Speaker 1: to Home Depot or Low's or something. Yeah, yeah, get
- 33:10Speaker 1: a nice oven. They sell ovens.
- 33:12Speaker 5: Yeah, I'll do that. I'll get an oven.
- 33:14Speaker 3: You could get one of those.
- 33:15Speaker 5: I'll go buy an oven and figure out where that's
- 33:17Speaker 5: gonna go. You could get one of those just on
- 33:19Speaker 5: the carpet bread ovens, those toaster ovens. Yeah, and you
- 33:23Speaker 5: can cook stuff in that. You should get an air fryer.
- 33:27Speaker 5: Air fryers cook everything, yes, yeah, but you don't cook.
- 33:31Speaker 5: But I don't cook, So then we'll do away with
- 33:33Speaker 5: this conversation. Yes, but can you promise me that in
- 33:36Speaker 5: your next home that you move into, I just resigned
- 33:39Speaker 5: my lease great, like a week ago.
- 33:41Speaker 1: You did.
- 33:42Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 33:42Speaker 1: Did they bump the price up on you.
- 33:44Speaker 3: One hundred bucks? That's pretty solid. Yeah, they know it's
- 33:47Speaker 3: a piece of shit.
- 33:48Speaker 5: It's not a piece it's actually a great apartment.
- 33:50Speaker 3: They're getting away with charging you multiple thousands of dollars
- 33:53Speaker 3: a month and they have not given you an oven.
- 33:55Speaker 5: It's a great space in one of the nicest neighborhoods.
- 34:00Speaker 3: Only believe that they are illegally renting you your apartment because.
- 34:05Speaker 1: I don't have an oven, and because they rob every
- 34:07Speaker 1: piece of mail that comes to do that. That's vicious.
- 34:11Speaker 3: I wonder if that is legal for you not to
- 34:13Speaker 3: have some means of cooking.
- 34:16Speaker 5: The first apartment that I was gonna rent had like
- 34:19Speaker 5: it didn't even have a sink. Like when I was
- 34:23Speaker 5: moving to New York. Like, if you think my apartment
- 34:25Speaker 5: is like on the lower scale of apartments.
- 34:28Speaker 3: I'm not saying that. I'm not saying because because there
- 34:30Speaker 3: is space and it is good light.
- 34:33Speaker 5: Is there's really just a it was just a room.
- 34:35Speaker 3: You have a decorative fireplace, you have good stuff. I
- 34:39Speaker 3: lived in an apartment that was smaller than yours when
- 34:41Speaker 3: I lived in New York, when I was.
- 34:43Speaker 5: Lived in multiple that are smaller than mine. This is
- 34:44Speaker 5: the biggest apartment I've ever lived in.
- 34:46Speaker 3: I'm not saying it's a bad a huge couch.
- 34:48Speaker 5: It's got a big, big living room, and it's got
- 34:51Speaker 5: a long hallway that is unnecessarily long in a very
- 34:54Speaker 5: small bedroom.
- 34:56Speaker 1: And a fireplace that has wood in it.
- 34:58Speaker 5: No, there's no wood in the fireplace.
- 34:59Speaker 1: And there you used to be, would no?
- 35:01Speaker 3: Do you have a bed?
- 35:02Speaker 5: Yes?
- 35:03Speaker 3: Off the ground? Yeah? When'd you get that?
- 35:07Speaker 5: When did I get a bed? The day I moved in?
- 35:10Speaker 5: And when it got off the ground, Oh, that's the question,
- 35:13Speaker 5: was probably eight months later.
- 35:17Speaker 3: Because when I saw it, I don't think you had
- 35:19Speaker 3: a I don't think you had a frame.
- 35:21Speaker 5: No, I think I would have By the time you
- 35:24Speaker 5: guys went to my apartment.
- 35:25Speaker 3: How far off the ground. Is it two feet? Okay?
- 35:30Speaker 5: Just a standard?
- 35:32Speaker 3: Do you have a box spring? No, it's a platform bed. Yeah. Nice.
- 35:37Speaker 1: How'd you get the platform? Had you elevated? You did
- 35:40Speaker 1: it on your own or did you call over some
- 35:42Speaker 1: of the guys to come help you pick it up?
- 35:44Speaker 5: No? I did it by myself.
- 35:45Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 35:47Speaker 5: Was that something you would call your friends over to do?
- 35:49Speaker 1: It's awkward. It's it awkward to pick up a single
- 35:51Speaker 1: mattress on your own. Your room is like kind of
- 35:54Speaker 1: it's a little bit narrow.
- 35:55Speaker 5: It's really actually not. You just pick it up and
- 35:57Speaker 5: you put it against the wall, and then you set
- 36:00Speaker 5: up the the bed frame and then you just take
- 36:04Speaker 5: it and you just tip it over and it falls
- 36:06Speaker 5: right on the onto the frame.
- 36:07Speaker 1: I know you killed this weekend in Boston.
- 36:11Speaker 5: Yeah, I did.
- 36:13Speaker 3: It's got you get some oven money in there.
- 36:16Speaker 5: Yeah, I could buy ten ovens.
- 36:20Speaker 1: I just feel it radiating off you that you crushed
- 36:22Speaker 1: this weekend.
- 36:23Speaker 5: No, I did. Fine.
- 36:25Speaker 1: You definitely crushed.
- 36:26Speaker 5: I mean I crushed. I would say if.
- 36:30Speaker 1: You crush more than two shows.
- 36:32Speaker 5: Oh, definitely crushed more than two. I would say three
- 36:37Speaker 5: of the five I crushed. The first two were fine,
- 36:41Speaker 5: but everyone and then I after the Friday early show,
- 36:44Speaker 5: I was like that sucked. But then everyone else was like, no,
- 36:48Speaker 5: it was really good, and I was like, I don't
- 36:50Speaker 5: think it was. And then I brought it to the
- 36:52Speaker 5: next level.
- 36:54Speaker 1: Act outs usually usual.
- 36:56Speaker 5: I mean in the sky, I was an out of
- 36:58Speaker 5: body experience.
- 37:00Speaker 1: Did you hump the stool?
- 37:01Speaker 5: I was humped. I was throwing the stool. I had
- 37:03Speaker 5: to get a new stool because I broke the stool
- 37:05Speaker 5: on stage.
- 37:06Speaker 1: That's how hard you went. Yeah, when's your guys new Brunswick.
- 37:09Speaker 3: Show March eighth, March eighth.
- 37:12Speaker 1: I gotta get out to that.
- 37:13Speaker 3: You know I'm gonna I'm gonna tip you out, really nicely.
- 37:17Speaker 5: Tip me out. Yeah, I don't need tips. I'll tip
- 37:21Speaker 5: you out.
- 37:21Speaker 3: You want to pay me to do my show? Okay,
- 37:26Speaker 3: you should, I'll take it.
- 37:29Speaker 1: It's a good opportunity for you to get tipped out. No,
- 37:32Speaker 1: to get on his show, you should tip him out. Yeah,
- 37:36Speaker 1: paid a player, you should be tipping his ass out.
- 37:39Speaker 3: I'm gonna tip you out with oven money.
- 37:41Speaker 5: How are you gonna get there?
- 37:43Speaker 3: Tesla drive?
- 37:45Speaker 5: I'm gonna rent a car, why so I can lock in?
- 37:51Speaker 3: Not ride with me?
- 37:53Speaker 1: So you could practice your bits at full voice in
- 37:55Speaker 1: the car.
- 37:55Speaker 3: I actually, I actually have to drive to my god
- 37:58Speaker 3: daughter's birthday which is in Philly earlier in the day,
- 38:03Speaker 3: and then I'm going to be coming back from there.
- 38:05Speaker 3: If you want to take the train, I'll pick you
- 38:07Speaker 3: up at the train station and then I'll drive us
- 38:11Speaker 3: back and drop you at your house.
- 38:14Speaker 5: A wrinkle has been thrown in the New Brunswick shows.
- 38:17Speaker 5: No ride you just said you were from the headline.
- 38:20Speaker 5: No ride from the Headliner to Philly.
- 38:22Speaker 3: You want to come to a children a two year
- 38:24Speaker 3: old's birthday?
- 38:24Speaker 5: So what time is the birthday party?
- 38:26Speaker 3: It's two o'clock and it's in a trampoline park.
- 38:30Speaker 1: Two years old is a little bit no man's land
- 38:33Speaker 1: for gifts.
- 38:34Speaker 3: Though I got a really good gift, but yet I
- 38:36Speaker 3: can't say. She hasn't opened it yet. She listens. This
- 38:42Speaker 3: is the white noise to which she falls asleep.
- 38:44Speaker 5: That's good.
- 38:45Speaker 1: Mm hmmm, Hey, you got to go to this birthday party? Otherwise,
- 38:48Speaker 1: no New Brunswick show.
- 38:49Speaker 5: Who else is going not to the party to No,
- 38:58Speaker 5: who's going to the show. Who's just like hosting? Does
- 39:03Speaker 5: he have a car?
- 39:05Speaker 3: I don't know?
- 39:05Speaker 1: Well, why doesn't why doesn't Francis take the train down
- 39:09Speaker 1: to Philly.
- 39:09Speaker 5: You take the train down to Philly. I'll pick up
- 39:11Speaker 5: the car. I'll pick you up at the train station.
- 39:13Speaker 3: You don't know how to drive.
- 39:15Speaker 5: I am such a better driver than you.
- 39:17Speaker 3: Now we go.
- 39:19Speaker 5: Challenge.
- 39:20Speaker 3: That's the next challenge.
- 39:23Speaker 1: What can we judge this song?
- 39:24Speaker 3: Do do a fucking license test? Get a proper like
- 39:29Speaker 3: uh rules of the road, and have us do a
- 39:34Speaker 3: test to get our licenses?
- 39:36Speaker 5: Are we gonna have to do in New York City?
- 39:37Speaker 5: Or are we going to do it in Can we
- 39:39Speaker 5: do it in the suburb?
- 39:39Speaker 3: Let's in the suburbs?
- 39:40Speaker 5: Yeah, I grew up in Yeah, I can't do that.
- 39:43Speaker 5: I can't do the parallel parking in the city. That's
- 39:45Speaker 5: too much pressure.
- 39:47Speaker 1: You don't want to have like one in one area,
- 39:49Speaker 1: one and the other. Or we'll do it.
- 39:51Speaker 5: In the Let's do it in like a big parking
- 39:52Speaker 5: lot somewhere if.
- 39:53Speaker 1: Someone if there's a parking authority in New Jersey or
- 39:58Speaker 1: in Long Island.
- 39:59Speaker 5: I don't even think we need I think you could
- 40:00Speaker 5: just do it where. Yeah, parking lot and count that's.
- 40:05Speaker 3: Not a bad idea. You ride along and you have
- 40:07Speaker 3: the checklist.
- 40:08Speaker 1: Yeah, I need a car that where I can have
- 40:10Speaker 1: a wheel and a brake so I can slam on
- 40:13Speaker 1: the brake if somebody's fucking have you ever seen the
- 40:16Speaker 1: driving instructors?
- 40:19Speaker 3: You're gonna need that for him because he's gonna show
- 40:21Speaker 3: up high. What Why that weed you've been smoking?
- 40:26Speaker 5: Why would I show up high to the drivers?
- 40:29Speaker 3: You don't take anything?
- 40:30Speaker 5: Are you of your mind? Your head?
- 40:35Speaker 3: And then you're going to fail your test and then
- 40:36Speaker 3: you're going to turn to run and be like, isn't
- 40:38Speaker 3: there anything I can do? I don't know if you've
- 40:41Speaker 3: seen that new porn that.
- 40:43Speaker 5: You're taking it now, you're taking it too far.
- 40:45Speaker 3: It's I think it's called bad driver by bad driving
- 40:48Speaker 3: instructor or something like that.
- 40:49Speaker 5: The Bang Bus.
- 40:50Speaker 3: No, no, no, no, no, no no. They're all British for some reason.
- 40:54Speaker 3: There's taxi, fake agent, they're all great.
- 40:59Speaker 1: The bang bus. It's always a big ass taxi.
- 41:03Speaker 3: Why do I cite porn more than anyone on the show.
- 41:05Speaker 3: I shouldn't be the freak because you're a freak.
- 41:07Speaker 1: Well, those British taxis are almost built for porn.
- 41:11Speaker 3: Yes they are, you know what I mean.
- 41:12Speaker 1: There's just like a big ass space in the middle a.
- 41:14Speaker 3: Huge and they've seats. They had that little bucket seat
- 41:17Speaker 3: that faces the other way.
- 41:19Speaker 5: Do they really it's weird?
- 41:21Speaker 3: Have you?
- 41:21Speaker 1: Oh, bro, you gotta go to England, Broland, change your
- 41:25Speaker 1: line in London.
- 41:26Speaker 3: Definitely, we should definitely do that.
- 41:29Speaker 5: Yeah, I would definitely do that. Talk to We've talked
- 41:31Speaker 5: about this multiple times.
- 41:32Speaker 3: I forgot.
- 41:34Speaker 1: Maybe maybe maybe I pop out there with you guys,
- 41:37Speaker 1: just do a little sight seeing.
- 41:38Speaker 3: Hell, definitely the Yeah, what.
- 41:40Speaker 1: We call when are we saying for this twenty eight?
- 41:44Speaker 1: For the Olympics?
- 41:45Speaker 3: Yeah? Is that where they are in twenty twenty eight? No?
- 41:47Speaker 1: I think they're in the US, in the US.
- 41:50Speaker 5: Aren't they in La La?
- 41:53Speaker 3: Wow?
- 41:54Speaker 1: And then the World Cups in the US too?
- 41:56Speaker 3: Wow? We finally signed.
- 41:58Speaker 1: To be It's a good time to be in a
- 41:59Speaker 1: working up in New York City, Isn't it?
- 42:02Speaker 5: Like at my life?
- 42:03Speaker 3: It'll be all over?
- 42:05Speaker 5: Got it? They don't just play all the games in one.
- 42:09Speaker 3: No, there's a lot of games.
- 42:10Speaker 1: They spread it out for in case of terrorism. It's
- 42:14Speaker 1: like the lone Survivor makes sense, just in case.
- 42:18Speaker 3: I watched The Brutalist yesterday.
- 42:21Speaker 5: I want to see that.
- 42:23Speaker 3: It's good. It's very long. You have to start it
- 42:27Speaker 3: at the height of energy and focus and a half.
- 42:32Speaker 3: Three and a half is brutalist Adrian Brody look peers,
- 42:42Speaker 3: it's pretty good. It's uh. I don't know what to
- 42:45Speaker 3: say about it. I'm kind of still actually working my
- 42:49Speaker 3: thoughts out about it. It's pretty upsetting, really, but beautifully shot.
- 42:53Speaker 1: Is it about the Holocaust?
- 42:55Speaker 3: There are Holocaust themes. He's an immigrant survivor of the camps.
- 43:00Speaker 3: I's over and has to sort of start from scratch,
- 43:02Speaker 3: even though he was a heralded architect in Hungry.
- 43:05Speaker 1: And then they find out that he was making it
- 43:07Speaker 1: all up, know that there was no Holocaust at all,
- 43:10Speaker 1: and he's just that's fit?
- 43:13Speaker 5: Is this? Did you see this in theaters or did
- 43:16Speaker 5: you know? I watched it on at home.
- 43:18Speaker 3: I watched it at home. It's probably twenty bucks.
- 43:22Speaker 5: Twenty bucks.
- 43:24Speaker 3: I mean it's a three and a half hour movie. True, true,
- 43:27Speaker 3: A big piece of meat. You own that movie now
- 43:29Speaker 3: that I bought Oppenheimer at home, and I've watched it
- 43:34Speaker 3: no fewer than ten times. Yeah, that makes sense.
- 43:36Speaker 5: Really, I've seen like six times.
- 43:38Speaker 3: Just when I'm on a flight and I forgot to
- 43:42Speaker 3: I have it downloaded to my phone. So whenever I
- 43:44Speaker 3: forget to actually download new episodes or something else, Yeah,
- 43:48Speaker 3: I just revert to watching Oppenheimer.
- 43:50Speaker 8: Movie gets better a Memento or I watched on my
- 43:54Speaker 8: phone at every I just have it downloaded, so I
- 43:57Speaker 8: just watch it on planes, to the point where I'm
- 43:59Speaker 8: just piecing together Seene to Memento, where it's actually like Memento.
- 44:07Speaker 3: He's in this movie.
- 44:08Speaker 5: Toomento what we were saying about it was a little too
- 44:11Speaker 5: heady for me.
- 44:12Speaker 1: Yeah, you couldn't keep up with your little brain.
- 44:15Speaker 5: I couldn't with my stupid fucking head. Such a fucking idiot, are.
- 44:22Speaker 1: All Chris Christopher Nolan movie is supposed to be like that?
- 44:24Speaker 1: I guess not Batman. But Tenet was tough. Tenant was
- 44:28Speaker 1: too heady for me.
- 44:28Speaker 3: I can't watch it.
- 44:30Speaker 1: Then it was too much. But Inception was just heady enough.
- 44:34Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 44:34Speaker 5: I didn't think Exception was too hard to follow. Interstellar
- 44:39Speaker 5: too hard, But I love that movie. But that movie
- 44:42Speaker 5: is definitely that's a confusing one. What else what other
- 44:46Speaker 5: movies says? You have Dunkirk, that one's hard to follow
- 44:49Speaker 5: because I was falling asleep the whole time. Fucking trash.
- 44:52Speaker 3: I love that movie.
- 44:53Speaker 5: Nolan's worst.
- 44:55Speaker 3: Yeah, well, what's his name says it's amazing in Tarantino.
- 45:00Speaker 5: Yes, when Tarantino was always yapping about something, you're in
- 45:04Speaker 5: a mood.
- 45:05Speaker 1: That's how you could tell he killed in Boston.
- 45:07Speaker 5: Tarantino said that The Social Network was the best movie
- 45:09Speaker 5: of the two thousands.
- 45:10Speaker 3: I think I don't hate that too.
- 45:11Speaker 5: I don't hate it either. I love that movie. That's
- 45:15Speaker 5: a banger. They don't make him like that anymore.
- 45:18Speaker 1: But you see Eisenberg trying to distance himself from Zuckerberg.
- 45:23Speaker 1: He's like, I don't want people to associate me with
- 45:25Speaker 1: that character. I don't want people to look at me
- 45:27Speaker 1: and think of like Mark Zuckerberg at all, Like it's
- 45:31Speaker 1: something I did, but I don't want the people.
- 45:34Speaker 3: Isn't it funny that before it would have been I
- 45:36Speaker 3: don't want people to associate me with Mark Zuckerberg because
- 45:39Speaker 3: he's this loser nerd. And yeah, it's like, I don't
- 45:42Speaker 3: want people to associate me with him because he's starting
- 45:45Speaker 3: to lean to the right and go on Joe Rogan's
- 45:47Speaker 3: podcast and learn jiu jitsu. Yeah, he's like cut his
- 45:51Speaker 3: body fat down at six percent. Yeah, he's become cool. Yeah,
- 45:55Speaker 3: And now I don't want that.
- 45:56Speaker 1: Yeah, it's a different class of people not wanting him.
- 45:59Speaker 3: I want to associate with Mark Zuckerberg. I want people
- 46:03Speaker 3: to be like you two were you guys in the
- 46:06Speaker 3: same class? And I was like, yeah, you know. I
- 46:08Speaker 3: tried to talk him out of dropping out because even
- 46:11Speaker 3: if Facebook hadn't worked out, at least he'd have his
- 46:13Speaker 3: degree to fall back on, but he would not be deterred.
- 46:16Speaker 5: Wait, how old is That?
- 46:18Speaker 3: Shows me how wrong I was?
- 46:19Speaker 5: How how far off were you from overlapping with him years? Really,
- 46:27Speaker 5: he can't be that much older.
- 46:29Speaker 1: I don't know. I don't think he's forty yet. It
- 46:31Speaker 1: would be my guess. Forty on the dot.
- 46:33Speaker 5: Really looks great, looks great for forty.
- 46:36Speaker 3: Yes, so, I guess I But he dropped out a
- 46:39Speaker 3: sophomore year or something. I think, Yeah, so I would
- 46:43Speaker 3: not have overlapped with him for any years, and he had,
- 46:48Speaker 3: like he left three years before I got there.
- 46:53Speaker 1: Facebook coming out was a fucking.
- 46:55Speaker 3: But the Wingleboss Twins stayed all the way through, and
- 46:59Speaker 3: people they where you could still feel them.
- 47:01Speaker 5: Yeah on camp, I'm sure you could probably feel their anger.
- 47:05Speaker 3: Just the Yeah, you could feel their presence. They were
- 47:08Speaker 3: they were spoken of, they were talked about. They were
- 47:10Speaker 3: big tunas.
- 47:12Speaker 1: And they're coming still.
- 47:13Speaker 5: Yeah, they still want that bad. They're not getting it.
- 47:16Speaker 3: I once met on. I once met the guy who
- 47:20Speaker 3: was their third co founder, the Indian guy who's played
- 47:24Speaker 3: by that actor in the Social Network, who's actually British.
- 47:28Speaker 3: I think, do you know what I'm talking about?
- 47:32Speaker 5: No, not at all.
- 47:33Speaker 3: I think he's I think he's Indian. He's their third
- 47:36Speaker 3: founder with the Winklevoss twins.
- 47:40Speaker 5: There's a Pakistani guy.
- 47:41Speaker 3: Maybe that's what he is.
- 47:43Speaker 5: Oh, yeah, you're probably thinking of that.
- 47:44Speaker 1: You're probably thinking of a Pakistani.
- 47:46Speaker 5: Guy now I'm kidding.
- 47:47Speaker 1: Yeah, they're a shri lunking guy.
- 47:50Speaker 3: Do you know what you think? He's the smaller guy
- 47:55Speaker 3: who's with the Winklevoss Twins coming.
- 47:58Speaker 5: Up kind of vaguely, remember, No, that's that's.
- 48:04Speaker 3: Moskovitz is one of the Facebook founders.
- 48:07Speaker 5: He's talking about one of the guys I was working
- 48:09Speaker 5: with the Winklevoss guys.
- 48:10Speaker 3: Yeah. I met him at a night club many years
- 48:14Speaker 3: ago when I was a club rat, and we started
- 48:17Speaker 3: talking and it did not take long for him to
- 48:20Speaker 3: tell me how much money he made in the settlement.
- 48:22Speaker 5: How much.
- 48:24Speaker 3: Divvy Narendra, that's who it is. How much did he make,
- 48:28Speaker 3: That's who it is.
- 48:29Speaker 1: I'm not gonna say fourteen billion.
- 48:31Speaker 5: We could just google it. Just tell us, no, it's
- 48:32Speaker 5: not open. It's not open.
- 48:34Speaker 3: No.
- 48:34Speaker 5: I settled for a nun disclosed amount billion.
- 48:38Speaker 3: No, No, they did not. That's why the Winklevoss twins resued.
- 48:42Speaker 5: Yeah, because they only got paid like fifty mail each.
- 48:44Speaker 3: Yeah, and then they and they thought that the shares
- 48:46Speaker 3: were counted at the wrong value in the settlement. Whereas
- 48:51Speaker 3: Eduardo made over a billion, and he would come back
- 48:54Speaker 3: to campus and throw parties at the Phoenix, which is
- 48:58Speaker 3: the final club that he was a member at, and
- 49:01Speaker 3: he would just buy a whole bunch of bottles of
- 49:03Speaker 3: like magnums of Belvitere. That was the thing. He would
- 49:07Speaker 3: just supply all the boots and throw these parties.
- 49:09Speaker 5: So that's what Eduardo did after he got cut out.
- 49:13Speaker 3: Well, he's worth you know, he's got a billion dollars,
- 49:15Speaker 3: well over a billion dollars. Yeah, but now the Winklevoss
- 49:18Speaker 3: twins are worth billions too because of their crypto holdings. Yeah,
- 49:22Speaker 3: they've gone heavy into that.
- 49:24Speaker 1: Well, that's what we're saying they're coming still, they're coming
- 49:26Speaker 1: for Zuck.
- 49:27Speaker 3: You couldn't hold them back Olympia.
- 49:29Speaker 5: Yeah, but Zuck is worth like one hundred.
- 49:31Speaker 3: Six and thirty pounds and there's two of me.
- 49:34Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 49:34Speaker 3: Sure.
- 49:35Speaker 5: I hate that scene.
- 49:35Speaker 1: I don't like when he says that, what do you
- 49:37Speaker 1: have against Twins?
- 49:38Speaker 3: Bro?
- 49:40Speaker 5: Nothing careful, well done, well done, half stuff against Army Hammer.
- 49:44Speaker 3: I guess we know who. The Godfather won't.
- 49:48Speaker 1: Cross your name off the list.
- 49:49Speaker 5: I bet the Winklevoss Twins are probably like, we don't
- 49:51Speaker 5: want to be associated with Armie Hammer. I mean they
- 50:01Speaker 5: got they got it way worse than they got I mean,
- 50:03Speaker 5: they got double fucked. They just can't stop getting fucked.
- 50:07Speaker 5: They got fucked out of Facebook. And then they were like, finally,
- 50:10Speaker 5: at least, like a hot, tall dude is gonna play
- 50:12Speaker 5: us in the movie. And then they were like, shit,
- 50:15Speaker 5: he's eating people.
- 50:17Speaker 1: He's drinking blood.
- 50:21Speaker 3: Well, speaking of eating ribs I made.
- 50:23Speaker 1: Yeah, we were gonna have Danny Masterson play Sorry.
- 50:28Speaker 3: Speaking of eating ribs, I had short ribs. I mean
- 50:32Speaker 3: I made short ribs this weekend.
- 50:34Speaker 5: That's fun.
- 50:35Speaker 3: Ever do something like that. Never, it's hard sounds hard him?
- 50:39Speaker 3: I cooked No, I cooked him over the course of
- 50:41Speaker 3: five or six hours.
- 50:42Speaker 1: Oh my god.
- 50:43Speaker 3: And then I brought put them in the fridge and
- 50:47Speaker 3: left them overnight so that the next day I could
- 50:50Speaker 3: scrape off a layer of fat that was probably an
- 50:52Speaker 3: inch thick, which is pretty gross. Yeah, and I used
- 50:58Speaker 3: I scraped all that off, But that makes the great
- 51:00Speaker 3: be much more concentrated and flavor.
- 51:02Speaker 1: That sounds so nice.
- 51:02Speaker 3: And then I reheated it very slowly on a low flame.
- 51:06Speaker 3: Then I served it over some cauliflower mash that I
- 51:08Speaker 3: had made.
- 51:10Speaker 1: What'd you put in the cauliflower mash?
- 51:11Speaker 3: Some butter, butter, semle cauliflower. I didn't use any milk.
- 51:15Speaker 3: I didn't feel the need to butter, garlic, mustard, some
- 51:20Speaker 3: djon and salt, pepper. That was it. Purate it in
- 51:25Speaker 3: a food processor.
- 51:27Speaker 5: Do you ever get Do you ever get into smoking?
- 51:29Speaker 3: See, I've tried.
- 51:30Speaker 5: That would be a good birthday present for Francis to
- 51:32Speaker 5: get on one of those green eggs.
- 51:33Speaker 3: I had one, really, yeah, and I used it all
- 51:36Speaker 3: the time. The problem I had with the green egg
- 51:37Speaker 3: was that it was just so labor intensive and so
- 51:39Speaker 3: touchy that if you wanted to just do a simple
- 51:42Speaker 3: grill of something, it was a ton of work.
- 51:45Speaker 1: Yeah, I thought you talked about this before getting rid
- 51:47Speaker 1: of your green egg.
- 51:48Speaker 3: I did get rid of it. I sold it to
- 51:50Speaker 3: a neighbor on my way out.
- 51:52Speaker 5: Would you like another one?
- 51:53Speaker 3: I don't know that. I don't have the space for it.
- 51:56Speaker 5: How big is it?
- 51:57Speaker 3: They're big, like than Rogan. Let's put it this way.
- 52:01Speaker 3: I can't fit my green egg in my living room.
- 52:04Speaker 1: You could fit a green egg in your living room though,
- 52:06Speaker 1: they're that big. How big do you think they are?
- 52:09Speaker 1: Do you put like a rack of ribs on it?
- 52:10Speaker 5: I thought it was like the size of like the
- 52:12Speaker 5: Rogan kettlebelly.
- 52:12Speaker 3: You can cook pizzas on it, Oh, full pizzas. Okay,
- 52:16Speaker 3: Well they make different sizes, but the one you want
- 52:19Speaker 3: is probably the large of the excel.
- 52:22Speaker 1: Well you need Loki is one of those indoor heaters,
- 52:25Speaker 1: those like circular heaters and just you cook some you know,
- 52:29Speaker 1: like the indoor fire pits or.
- 52:31Speaker 5: Oh yeah, smokeless yeah yeah things. Don't you have one
- 52:33Speaker 5: of those?
- 52:34Speaker 3: Yeah? I have one of those.
- 52:35Speaker 1: You should use one of those and just throw one
- 52:37Speaker 1: of those in your living room and kind of just
- 52:38Speaker 1: cook over the open flame like that.
- 52:40Speaker 5: I feel like that would still be like pretty dangerous.
- 52:43Speaker 1: Those can't be dangerous to just have.
- 52:45Speaker 5: One of those in the middle of my living room.
- 52:47Speaker 3: No, you could do that.
- 52:49Speaker 5: Yeah, I don't know if I really want that. I
- 52:51Speaker 5: don't know if I want to be like playing video
- 52:53Speaker 5: games and be like bumping into my fucking cauldron in
- 52:57Speaker 5: the center.
- 52:57Speaker 3: Of the center of it's an open flame.
- 53:00Speaker 5: Oh really?
- 53:01Speaker 3: Yeah? I could see you standing over it with your
- 53:03Speaker 3: fingerless gloves warming the tips of your hands.
- 53:07Speaker 5: That would be nice.
- 53:07Speaker 1: Just pressure opening a can of beans. Is a true hobo?
- 53:10Speaker 1: You are? You can always fall back on hobo.
- 53:13Speaker 5: I keep forgetting it to bring in my jet boil
- 53:15Speaker 5: and make these m rs. I know we've been talking
- 53:19Speaker 5: about doing this for months.
- 53:20Speaker 3: You have a jet boiler.
- 53:21Speaker 5: I have a jet boil.
- 53:23Speaker 3: What's that?
- 53:24Speaker 5: It's like a little mini It's for camping.
- 53:28Speaker 3: That's that's how you cook.
- 53:31Speaker 5: No, but when you when you camp, yeah, you can
- 53:33Speaker 5: heat up water.
- 53:34Speaker 1: Really is the thing?
- 53:35Speaker 3: Right?
- 53:36Speaker 5: Heats up water less than sixty seconds.
- 53:40Speaker 1: Yeah, you got to come and make make our m rs.
- 53:44Speaker 5: Yeah, I think I've We've talked about the jet boil
- 53:46Speaker 5: for sure.
- 53:46Speaker 1: Why don't you make them on Thursday or Wednesday?
- 53:49Speaker 5: Yeah, I'll do it. I'll bring him in.
- 53:51Speaker 1: We gotta have Dana on again sometime soon before he
- 53:54Speaker 1: moves to Chicago.
- 53:55Speaker 3: What he's moving to Chicago? No?
- 53:57Speaker 1: Is he so that fucking Betty does?
- 53:59Speaker 3: Dude?
- 54:00Speaker 5: He definitely will.
- 54:01Speaker 3: I don't know about that fucking lib.
- 54:03Speaker 1: Wow, you're saying that New York is the non lib
- 54:07Speaker 1: city and that he's moving to a lib city.
- 54:10Speaker 5: If there's a city that's more lib, Chicago's definitely more
- 54:13Speaker 5: LIB than but in New York you think so? Yeah,
- 54:17Speaker 5: lib central out there. Yeah, maybe trying to find the
- 54:26Speaker 5: video of my jet boil. But I'll show it to
- 54:28Speaker 5: you after.
- 54:29Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 54:30Speaker 3: Cool, that's pretty sick. I'd like to see it.
- 54:31Speaker 5: You'd like it.
- 54:32Speaker 1: Yeah, I'm struggling like about, Like, obviously I want to
- 54:36Speaker 1: have more videos of you guys going head to head
- 54:38Speaker 1: and stuff.
- 54:39Speaker 5: Well, I think the car the car test will definitely
- 54:41Speaker 5: be a good one, but that would be quick because
- 54:44Speaker 5: I feel.
- 54:44Speaker 3: Like, oh, it's not that quick.
- 54:48Speaker 5: Takes like five minutes.
- 54:49Speaker 3: No, a driver's licensed test. Yeah, I don't think so.
- 54:54Speaker 5: I mean I did it like ten years ago, eight
- 54:58Speaker 5: years ago.
- 54:59Speaker 3: I remember it being probably at least half an hour,
- 55:02Speaker 3: half an hour. Yeah, we drove around.
- 55:05Speaker 9: There's gonna be some driving around really, so literally ours
- 55:09Speaker 9: was literally get in the car, do a three point turn,
- 55:12Speaker 9: go parallel park, and then like, I'm sure you know
- 55:14Speaker 9: how to use your blinkers and your windshield?
- 55:16Speaker 3: Am I Am? I crazy? And thinking that I drove
- 55:19Speaker 3: on the highway.
- 55:20Speaker 1: Yeah, definitely, probably changed lanes on the highway.
- 55:22Speaker 3: I had to go through intersections. I had to we
- 55:24Speaker 3: had to go drive to a place where it was
- 55:27Speaker 3: a long sort of empty road in a residential neighborhood
- 55:30Speaker 3: or whatever, and there was a straight sidewalk curb and
- 55:34Speaker 3: I had to back up. That was the most challenging
- 55:37Speaker 3: part of the test, which is the turn No. One
- 55:40Speaker 3: hundred yard back up where you put your arm around
- 55:43Speaker 3: the thing and you look back and you keep it
- 55:45Speaker 3: straight the whole way.
- 55:46Speaker 5: Damn No, we didn't.
- 55:47Speaker 1: The hardest part of mine was they like when you
- 55:49Speaker 1: had to put the car in neutral and let it
- 55:52Speaker 1: roll into a lake and then break.
- 55:54Speaker 5: The window.
- 55:56Speaker 1: To escape. I feel like it's one of the most parts.
- 56:01Speaker 5: He had to cut the seat belt off.
- 56:06Speaker 3: Unfortunately, you didn't have one of those hammers with the
- 56:08Speaker 3: fine points. Use the letto that was left behind from
- 56:12Speaker 3: the last girl who tried to pass the well.
- 56:14Speaker 1: They had various things scattered through the car and to
- 56:17Speaker 1: kind of use them all.
- 56:20Speaker 3: It's just an escape room.
- 56:21Speaker 5: That would be awesome. It's like Navy seal training. You
- 56:26Speaker 5: just pre jam your seat belt.
- 56:32Speaker 3: Some point the guy on the side just opens the
- 56:34Speaker 3: door and rolls out as you're heading off a pier,
- 56:39Speaker 3: like in the game. Have you seen the movie The Game?
- 56:41Speaker 3: I think with Michael Douglas.
- 56:43Speaker 5: I think, and it's is that the one where he
- 56:46Speaker 5: wears like the mask at the end and they show
- 56:48Speaker 5: like the videotape. I think I've seen that movie, and
- 56:51Speaker 5: I think it's a fucking heat.
- 56:53Speaker 3: It's an unbelievable a thriller.
- 56:55Speaker 1: Yeah, are you taking a point break?
- 56:59Speaker 5: No?
- 56:59Speaker 3: I think you're thinking of clockwork Orange.
- 57:03Speaker 5: I'm definitely not.
- 57:05Speaker 3: Maybe you're thinking of No. I've seen this movie The
- 57:08Speaker 3: Game with Michael Douglas. Yes, where his brother sets him
- 57:12Speaker 3: up and it's Sean Penn. Yes. Bah, Yeah, that's a
- 57:15Speaker 3: good movie.
- 57:16Speaker 5: But I was thinking of another movie.
- 57:18Speaker 1: If we do the driver's test, we'd have to the
- 57:21Speaker 1: other person would have to be in the back seat
- 57:23Speaker 1: just to audit it.
- 57:24Speaker 3: Oh and talk shit.
- 57:25Speaker 1: Well, I didn't say anything about talking shit. But I
- 57:27Speaker 1: guess just to make sure then it goes off the
- 57:29Speaker 1: same way.
- 57:30Speaker 3: Just bring a bullhorn, yell, make crazy loud distracting noises, clam,
- 57:37Speaker 3: bake the car.
- 57:38Speaker 5: We should get one that we can just wreck. Like
- 57:42Speaker 5: for the beginning of the video, what it was just
- 57:45Speaker 5: raarallel park Can you just sail the car through a
- 57:48Speaker 5: fucking brick wall.
- 57:50Speaker 1: Let's just rent the car and then just return it
- 57:52Speaker 1: after like two hours, and it's just yeah, let's just
- 57:58Speaker 1: get like the insurance. It's like, oh yeah, two bucks,
- 58:00Speaker 1: churchs like we probably won't need it.
- 58:02Speaker 5: Y yeah, yeah, I could come back and just all
- 58:06Speaker 5: the windows are broken, bumpers hanging off.
- 58:09Speaker 1: I was parallel parking.
- 58:11Speaker 3: No, I'm sorry, we drove by a opera practice, no joke.
- 58:15Speaker 5: The hardest part of the hardest part, the part of
- 58:17Speaker 5: the test for me was the part that I was
- 58:20Speaker 5: the most nervous for was when the windshield wipers in
- 58:22Speaker 5: the headlights, because it's different on every car, like it's
- 58:28Speaker 5: it's genuary, it's generally the same. But like we were
- 58:30Speaker 5: supposed to know like exactly where it was when we
- 58:33Speaker 5: got in. But didn't you the card one of their cars?
- 58:38Speaker 3: Oh see, I brought my own car.
- 58:39Speaker 5: So we did like so like I would be in
- 58:41Speaker 5: like my mom's car, and I'd be like, all right,
- 58:42Speaker 5: windshield wipers, headlights, all that ship. I know where it
- 58:45Speaker 5: all is. And then you get in their car and
- 58:47Speaker 5: it's like completely new layout and you're supposed to know immediately.
- 58:52Speaker 1: All right.
- 58:53Speaker 5: I failed once, but it was because my permit was destroyed. Wow,
- 58:58Speaker 5: you failed, So I I got there, I had a permit.
- 59:01Speaker 3: I'm just saying, I'm surprised you have the confidence going
- 59:04Speaker 3: into this having failed it.
- 59:07Speaker 5: Oh so I didn't actually fail. I failed.
- 59:10Speaker 3: We go I failed. Let's move that goalpost.
- 59:12Speaker 5: Well I didn't. Like, I didn't fail. It wasn't like
- 59:13Speaker 5: I fucked up the parallel parking. It was it was
- 59:17Speaker 5: exactly how you would imagine. I failed. I showed up.
- 59:20Speaker 5: And you need your permit because when you passed the test,
- 59:22Speaker 5: they signed your permit, and now that's your license until
- 59:24Speaker 5: you get your license in the mail. And I showed up.
- 59:27Speaker 5: My permit had been through the washing machine twice and
- 59:30Speaker 5: it was covered in tape, and I tried to re
- 59:34Speaker 5: sign it with my name and it was just like
- 59:37Speaker 5: all destroyed. And I got in the car for the
- 59:40Speaker 5: test and They were like absolutely not question. They were like,
- 59:43Speaker 5: you can't take the test.
- 59:44Speaker 3: With this question. Did it go through the wash in
- 59:48Speaker 3: your wallet or were you just keeping your permit? It
- 59:51Speaker 3: was in my wallet.
- 59:52Speaker 5: I think I think I destroyed it in my wallet.
- 59:54Speaker 1: I see, Yeah, you washed your wallet twice.
- 59:57Speaker 5: Yeah, something happened. It was fucking dis like it was
- 1:00:01Speaker 5: in It couldn't have been in less than forty paces.
- 1:00:04Speaker 1: I think you were carrying your promen life puzzle.
- 1:00:08Speaker 5: It was literally like.
- 1:00:09Speaker 1: Just dissolve, like it was like a child's blanket.
- 1:00:11Speaker 5: There was so much tape on it you.
- 1:00:14Speaker 3: Could have thrown it out of the window of a
- 1:00:15Speaker 3: cargo plane to let the villagers know to evacuate it.
- 1:00:19Speaker 5: Yes, yes, yes.
- 1:00:20Speaker 1: Right, damn. I didn't fail mine. I know that for
- 1:00:23Speaker 1: a fact.
- 1:00:24Speaker 5: My dad did his in Manhattan and he failed three
- 1:00:28Speaker 5: times because he had a parallel park in Manhattan.
- 1:00:32Speaker 3: That does sound harder.
- 1:00:33Speaker 1: We're well into twenty twenty five now, which means New

- 1:01:36Speaker 3: Did you have a strong suit from a test taking perspective?
- 1:01:39Speaker 3: Was there a subject or part of tests that you
- 1:01:41Speaker 3: thought you were especially adept at?
- 1:01:45Speaker 5: Now, Like, I mean, if I studied it, I would
- 1:01:48Speaker 5: do well. Maths I usually felt like I could like
- 1:01:53Speaker 5: I would not know what I was doing because I
- 1:01:56Speaker 5: wouldn't pay attention, and then the test would come around
- 1:01:59Speaker 5: and I would like feel like sometimes I was able
- 1:02:01Speaker 5: to like teach myself how to do it. But then
- 1:02:04Speaker 5: when I got to like a certain age, I was like,
- 1:02:07Speaker 5: I no longer am smart enough to be able to
- 1:02:09Speaker 5: teach myself.
- 1:02:09Speaker 3: Like in real time.
- 1:02:11Speaker 5: Yeah, all of these like algorithms, right.
- 1:02:14Speaker 1: The smartest I ever felt was like doing physics like uh,
- 1:02:18Speaker 1: in like senior year of high school, like to figure
- 1:02:21Speaker 1: in the ship, figuring out an equation or something like that,
- 1:02:24Speaker 1: and that stuff leaves you like the second that you stop.
- 1:02:27Speaker 3: Looking at it.
- 1:02:28Speaker 5: Yeah, it does suck that you don't really use math
- 1:02:30Speaker 5: in the real world, like the ship that they teach you.
- 1:02:32Speaker 5: Because like when I when you know what you're doing
- 1:02:35Speaker 5: in math and you get like the fucking sheet of
- 1:02:38Speaker 5: equate like of like of problems to solve, it's like,
- 1:02:41Speaker 5: actually pretty fond.
- 1:02:42Speaker 3: It's empowering. Yeah.
- 1:02:43Speaker 5: Yeah, when you're like you're like it feels like you're
- 1:02:45Speaker 5: cracking codes, so you're like, this is sick.
- 1:02:47Speaker 1: And imagine being actually great mathematician and like at a
- 1:02:52Speaker 1: college level, yeah, or at like a post grad level
- 1:02:55Speaker 1: of like being great at math.
- 1:02:57Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:02:58Speaker 5: That was the smartest I ever felt was I had
- 1:03:00Speaker 5: a math test and I didn't pay I knew the
- 1:03:02Speaker 5: test was coming up, and I knew I hadn't paid
- 1:03:04Speaker 5: attention at all the entire build up to this test,
- 1:03:08Speaker 5: and so the night before I studied for like six
- 1:03:11Speaker 5: hours straight, and I like aced the test, and I
- 1:03:14Speaker 5: was like, I was like, damn, I'm just gonna do
- 1:03:17Speaker 5: that every time. I was like, I'm just not going
- 1:03:19Speaker 5: to pay attention during class every time and just study
- 1:03:21Speaker 5: hard as fuck the night before. And then the next
- 1:03:23Speaker 5: time came around and I went to study and I
- 1:03:25Speaker 5: was like, yeah, I definitely needed to pay attention to class.
- 1:03:28Speaker 5: I don't even know what the fuck any of this is.
- 1:03:31Speaker 5: It was like insane new formulas that I had no
- 1:03:33Speaker 5: idea how to do.
- 1:03:34Speaker 1: But you were off the adderall.
- 1:03:36Speaker 5: No, I don't think I was on aderall. At this point.
- 1:03:39Speaker 5: I stopped taking adderall. I think in ninth grade.
- 1:03:42Speaker 3: You say it's a shame that we don't use math
- 1:03:43Speaker 3: in our real lives. But what I would say is
- 1:03:45Speaker 3: that every we don't. But the people I know who
- 1:03:51Speaker 3: were really good at math and followed it all the
- 1:03:54Speaker 3: way through college and stuff are the people I know
- 1:03:57Speaker 3: who are making the most money of anyone.
- 1:04:00Speaker 5: Like people who like by far, people who like majored
- 1:04:02Speaker 5: in math.
- 1:04:03Speaker 3: Yes, yeah, or or were just adept at mathy. Maybe
- 1:04:08Speaker 3: they were econ majors but with a math heavy focus. Yeah,
- 1:04:12Speaker 3: and actually applied math into their profession.
- 1:04:16Speaker 1: Yeah, so they use a lot of math to this day.
- 1:04:18Speaker 3: Yes. Yes.
- 1:04:19Speaker 1: My only friends who use math to this day are
- 1:04:21Speaker 1: like union laborers who have dealers. So a quarter.
- 1:04:28Speaker 3: Stringer bell stringer bell was good at math.
- 1:04:31Speaker 1: Yeah, good at business too.
- 1:04:32Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:04:33Speaker 5: Yeah, I don't.
- 1:04:35Speaker 3: I don't know.
- 1:04:35Speaker 5: I don't really use math anymore. Like I still know
- 1:04:37Speaker 5: pem daz obviously.
- 1:04:39Speaker 1: I love whenever they serve up a pem Daz on
- 1:04:42Speaker 1: the timeline, just saying.
- 1:04:43Speaker 5: It has people in a blender.
- 1:04:46Speaker 1: Yeah, people everyone.
- 1:04:49Speaker 5: I don't understand how people get the wrong answer. It's like, dude,
- 1:04:51Speaker 5: it's it's just pemdaz. It's so simple.
- 1:04:54Speaker 3: There's some hard ones, there's a hard there are hard
- 1:04:56Speaker 3: ways to present a pemdest problem. Do you want me
- 1:05:01Speaker 3: to draw you one?
- 1:05:02Speaker 1: Yeah, that'd actually be nice. We got a whiteboard right there,
- 1:05:06Speaker 1: give us some pemdas like, yeah, but I don't know how.
- 1:05:08Speaker 5: Good that's going to be for the podcast.
- 1:05:10Speaker 3: What we'll do? What you want to go back to
- 1:05:13Speaker 3: talking about airplanes again? Yeah?
- 1:05:16Speaker 1: You know who uses math the airplane guys, I also
- 1:05:20Speaker 1: don't want to fail. Yeah, you're scared to get the
- 1:05:22Speaker 1: pemdas wrong.
- 1:05:23Speaker 5: You see if I can find good because I just
- 1:05:27Speaker 5: said how dumb people are that they can't follow pemdaz
- 1:05:29Speaker 5: and now I feel like I'm gonna get it wrong.
- 1:05:32Speaker 5: I feel I've already taken a couple l's this episode.
- 1:05:35Speaker 5: I'm not trying to stack them.
- 1:05:36Speaker 1: You have, I don't think you have, or you don't.
- 1:05:38Speaker 1: It doesn't seem like you're taking damage.
- 1:05:40Speaker 5: Oh I am, I'm hurting over here.
- 1:05:43Speaker 1: Oh, I don't say that. It's probably just klarma because
- 1:05:46Speaker 1: you killed so hard in Boston this weekend. I know,
- 1:05:49Speaker 1: I know you and Mooke were doing some maths at
- 1:05:51Speaker 1: the seven eleven.
- 1:05:52Speaker 3: Late night.
- 1:05:54Speaker 5: I got burger King. I went full mook on Saturday night. No,
- 1:06:00Speaker 5: MIC probably just picked up the noise my stomach's making
- 1:06:03Speaker 5: from the burger King gurgling. Still, dude, I've said it before,
- 1:06:06Speaker 5: but since I stopped drinking, the most hungover, like the
- 1:06:10Speaker 5: most thing that the thing that's replicated to hang over
- 1:06:12Speaker 5: the most more than anything has been when I get
- 1:06:16Speaker 5: McDonald's or like real fast food, not like not like
- 1:06:20Speaker 5: if I get like Papa John's or like or like
- 1:06:23Speaker 5: like Popeyes.
- 1:06:24Speaker 3: Or something like that.
- 1:06:24Speaker 5: I'm talking like Burger King McDonald's if I get If
- 1:06:28Speaker 5: I get McDonald's or Burger King at night, the next day,
- 1:06:32Speaker 5: I feel like I literally I feel like I drank
- 1:06:34Speaker 5: forty beers the night before.
- 1:06:35Speaker 1: You feel it in your head.
- 1:06:36Speaker 5: I feel it in my head, my skin, my stomach, everywhere.
- 1:06:41Speaker 5: Like yesterday, the whole day I was just like like
- 1:06:44Speaker 5: groaning and fucking discomfort.
- 1:06:46Speaker 1: How much how many did you have?
- 1:06:48Speaker 5: I didn't even eat a lot. I had a burger
- 1:06:50Speaker 5: and nuggets and fries.
- 1:06:51Speaker 1: At like what time one?
- 1:06:54Speaker 3: Damn?
- 1:06:55Speaker 1: It does fuck up your day eating that, like.
- 1:06:57Speaker 5: Fox up your day. But I also it's like I
- 1:06:59Speaker 5: didn't really have a lot of time, like I ate
- 1:07:01Speaker 5: earlier in the day, and then I don't like eating
- 1:07:02Speaker 5: too close to the shows. And then the Saturday late
- 1:07:06Speaker 5: show was the one that I had. Like my family
- 1:07:08Speaker 5: came and all my friends came, so we all went
- 1:07:10Speaker 5: to the bar right next door and hung out.
- 1:07:12Speaker 1: Did Nate's family wand up coming?
- 1:07:14Speaker 5: His cousins and stuff came? Yeah?
- 1:07:16Speaker 1: How many of them?
- 1:07:17Speaker 5: Six?
- 1:07:17Speaker 1: That's sick.
- 1:07:18Speaker 3: He's six cousins.
- 1:07:19Speaker 5: Well like his brother, cousins.
- 1:07:23Speaker 3: From both sides of his family, like his mom's.
- 1:07:26Speaker 5: I think it is both sides.
- 1:07:29Speaker 3: Yeah, actually they're close. I don't know.
- 1:07:31Speaker 5: I think they just all live in there. They all
- 1:07:33Speaker 5: live in Massachusetts, still live there.
- 1:07:35Speaker 3: Yeah, Yeah, the whole Nate family has remained in Massachusetts,
- 1:07:41Speaker 3: some of them. Where did the others go?
- 1:07:43Speaker 5: I have no idea. I don't know. Can you hit
- 1:07:46Speaker 5: him up and ask where all of his cousins live?
- 1:07:50Speaker 1: Yeah?
- 1:07:51Speaker 3: Yeah, because I'm just wondering why there would be such
- 1:07:53Speaker 3: a concentration in Massachusetts and then a few have flaked
- 1:07:56Speaker 3: off to go elsewhere.
- 1:07:58Speaker 1: It's probably just their jobs, right, But you could just
- 1:08:00Speaker 1: find out.
- 1:08:01Speaker 3: Were they the older ones or the younger ones?
- 1:08:03Speaker 5: They're all older.
- 1:08:05Speaker 3: No, but I'm saying in the hierarchy of the family tree, like,
- 1:08:07Speaker 3: did the older siblings remain or were they the sort
- 1:08:11Speaker 3: of what the first ones to sort of break out
- 1:08:12Speaker 3: and then the younger ones stayed behind.
- 1:08:15Speaker 5: I don't know, dude, I have no idea. Like, his
- 1:08:17Speaker 5: two older siblings don't live in Massachusetts.
- 1:08:19Speaker 3: There you go, that's an answer, But.
- 1:08:21Speaker 5: His younger sibling does, and then his cousins.
- 1:08:22Speaker 3: Do, and the cousins are probably the younger ones too.
- 1:08:25Speaker 5: I don't know. I don't know his cousins, his older
- 1:08:27Speaker 5: siblings live. I don't know. I don't really feel like
- 1:08:29Speaker 5: discussing it, to be.
- 1:08:29Speaker 3: Honest, would you can just give the state and now
- 1:08:31Speaker 3: I'm not going to I'm gonna guess Colorado.
- 1:08:34Speaker 1: No.
- 1:08:35Speaker 3: You know the states though, Yes, is it out west?
- 1:08:38Speaker 3: I will not say it's out west.
- 1:08:40Speaker 5: It's not. Depends on how you describe out west. What
- 1:08:43Speaker 5: do you think out west? Is you think like you're
- 1:08:45Speaker 5: thinking like Colorado?
- 1:08:47Speaker 3: Now so Midwest? No?
- 1:08:50Speaker 5: No, it's Ohio?
- 1:08:53Speaker 3: Then, No, why would they move to Ohio?
- 1:08:56Speaker 5: I have no idea.
- 1:08:57Speaker 3: They didn't.
- 1:08:57Speaker 5: They didn't Indiana.
- 1:08:59Speaker 3: They're now in Indiana.
- 1:09:00Speaker 5: No, none of them live in the Midwest.
- 1:09:02Speaker 1: So it's like Virginia. No, oh West, Virginia, d C. Nope,
- 1:09:08Speaker 1: Michigan is still the Midwest.
- 1:09:10Speaker 3: Are they music? Are they musical?
- 1:09:12Speaker 5: No? No, what do you mean musical?
- 1:09:15Speaker 1: At Tennessee?
- 1:09:15Speaker 3: I was gonna say Nashville. They live in Nashville. Now
- 1:09:18Speaker 3: to pursuing their musical.
- 1:09:19Speaker 1: Interests, because then they be down there with Peters.
- 1:09:22Speaker 5: Peters doesn't live in Nashville anymore.
- 1:09:24Speaker 1: More.
- 1:09:25Speaker 3: He gave up on the music.
- 1:09:27Speaker 1: He gave up on his music, so like Louisiana.
- 1:09:31Speaker 3: Nope, Oh they're in Are they in the South? Now?
- 1:09:33Speaker 3: You said it depends on what you define as the West.
- 1:09:37Speaker 5: There's two of them, and I said, yeah, depends on
- 1:09:39Speaker 5: what you define as the West.
- 1:09:40Speaker 1: Are you talking in California?
- 1:09:41Speaker 3: Are you talking West Coast?
- 1:09:43Speaker 5: There's one in West Coast?
- 1:09:44Speaker 3: Is it California now or yes?
- 1:09:47Speaker 5: Yes, it is California, North.
- 1:09:48Speaker 3: Cal or so cal cal La Now, wow, San Diego.
- 1:09:53Speaker 3: They live in San Diego.
- 1:09:54Speaker 5: One of them does Pacific Beach. I don't know.
- 1:09:58Speaker 1: You have to find out.
- 1:09:59Speaker 3: I'm not make me.
- 1:10:02Speaker 1: La joyauh No, if they don't.
- 1:10:06Speaker 5: Think anyone, I think only that live in Lahoya are
- 1:10:08Speaker 5: old people and rich people. Yeah. Is that where you're
- 1:10:12Speaker 5: going in San Diego? Or are you doing American Comedy club?
- 1:10:16Speaker 3: I'm doing American comedy club.
- 1:10:18Speaker 1: Wait, we're close to where the other one lives.
- 1:10:20Speaker 3: Yeah, we've got San Diego and then the other one.
- 1:10:25Speaker 5: La Joya is beautiful.
- 1:10:27Speaker 1: We said Texas. Yeah, yeah, no, Texas, not Texas West.
- 1:10:33Speaker 1: Both of them were West, but of course everything's west.
- 1:10:35Speaker 5: I never said both of them are West.
- 1:10:37Speaker 1: Oh, so someone's in like Maine or something like that.
- 1:10:40Speaker 3: Nope, Uh, New York.
- 1:10:43Speaker 5: Yes, it took you guys like that. I mean you
- 1:10:49Speaker 5: missed you. You just you guys were leaving off the
- 1:10:51Speaker 5: most populated cities.
- 1:10:52Speaker 3: But all that said, you wouldn't tell us, and then
- 1:10:56Speaker 3: we got it out of you so easily.
- 1:10:59Speaker 5: Well, I mean I wasn't going to go for another
- 1:11:01Speaker 5: thirty minutes of just saying no.
- 1:11:02Speaker 3: You could have been like, stopped, don't ask anywhere, I'm
- 1:11:04Speaker 3: not telling you, But then you kept being like warmer, warmer.
- 1:11:10Speaker 5: I was like, how have they not guessed in New
- 1:11:12Speaker 5: York City yet?
- 1:11:12Speaker 1: I love that about you, and it's so it's that
- 1:11:15Speaker 1: they're in Manhattan.
- 1:11:17Speaker 3: One of them is, yeah, you're like that. Uh, you're
- 1:11:19Speaker 3: like the Austin Powers character. Excuse me, You're like the
- 1:11:23Speaker 3: Will Ferrell character in Austin Powers when he's like, I
- 1:11:27Speaker 3: have this ridiculous condition where if someone asks me a
- 1:11:30Speaker 3: question three times, I have to answer it. Where is
- 1:11:34Speaker 3: doctor Evil? I'll never tell where is doctor Ebel? I
- 1:11:38Speaker 3: spit in your face, damn three times I find he
- 1:11:43Speaker 3: finds it irritating. You just couldn't handle us asking the question.
- 1:11:47Speaker 1: Is it Upper West or Upper East?
- 1:11:49Speaker 5: I have not genuinely I don't know.
- 1:11:51Speaker 1: So they're like downtown, I don't know. I mean they're
- 1:11:55Speaker 1: gonna be obviously south of Chelsea.
- 1:11:59Speaker 5: You can and keep on listing neighborhoods. I don't know
- 1:12:01Speaker 5: where they live.
- 1:12:03Speaker 1: You feel like I'm just getting to the bottom of
- 1:12:05Speaker 1: it pretty quickly.
- 1:12:06Speaker 3: Do you think we could get Nate on the horn
- 1:12:08Speaker 3: at some point, not on the pod, just to talk
- 1:12:10Speaker 3: to him. Yeah, he's that close.
- 1:12:14Speaker 5: Now, What do you mean he's that close now?
- 1:12:16Speaker 3: Well, I know that for a long time. He was
- 1:12:18Speaker 3: kind of like four.
- 1:12:19Speaker 5: He's been one of my best friends since I was
- 1:12:21Speaker 5: in middle school.
- 1:12:22Speaker 3: Yes, but you, Oh, it was always you Bo and
- 1:12:25Speaker 3: Peters and sometimes.
- 1:12:28Speaker 5: Nate because Bo and Peters both lived in Colorado and
- 1:12:31Speaker 5: Nate lived in Tampa.
- 1:12:33Speaker 3: You lived in New York, and you got the nod
- 1:12:35Speaker 3: ahead of Nate to go out and hang out.
- 1:12:37Speaker 5: I visited, I visit. We all visited Nate and Tampa
- 1:12:40Speaker 5: before we visited Colorado.
- 1:12:41Speaker 3: All three of you. Yes, but when you went to
- 1:12:43Speaker 3: Colorado and Nate didn't come. Now, so there you go.
- 1:12:47Speaker 5: Why because all of them don't have jobs?
- 1:12:50Speaker 1: Why didn't Nate go Because he couldn't.
- 1:12:53Speaker 5: Afford to go and I could afford to go to Colorado,
- 1:12:56Speaker 5: and they could afford to go to coloradgause they already
- 1:12:57Speaker 5: lived in Colorado, right.
- 1:12:59Speaker 1: I think could easily pay for Nate to go.
- 1:13:02Speaker 5: Yeah, I didn't want to.
- 1:13:06Speaker 1: And that show's Nate. He comes to support you, spends
- 1:13:09Speaker 1: his hard earned money on you. But when the time
- 1:13:11Speaker 1: comes for you to spend some money on Nate.
- 1:13:13Speaker 5: The amount of money that I've spent on my friends
- 1:13:16Speaker 5: is unbelievable, dude.
- 1:13:17Speaker 3: The fact that the Nates all came out in force
- 1:13:21Speaker 3: to your shows in Boston and you couldn't just buy
- 1:13:24Speaker 3: him a ticket or you even use your companion certificate
- 1:13:27Speaker 3: that you got.
- 1:13:27Speaker 5: I didn't know what five years ago when i've when
- 1:13:29Speaker 5: when I went to Colorado for the first time, I
- 1:13:31Speaker 5: didn't know Nate was going to come see me headline.
- 1:13:33Speaker 1: In Boston with his whole family.
- 1:13:35Speaker 5: Yeah, I knew you didn't I knew didn't even know
- 1:13:38Speaker 5: who he was.
- 1:13:38Speaker 3: I know the type of guy he is.
- 1:13:41Speaker 1: But if it was just Barceol Nate talking about that's
- 1:13:47Speaker 1: just like shirtlessly best friends with him as they like
- 1:13:50Speaker 1: Canoe and Wyoming.
- 1:13:54Speaker 5: Yeah, it was a pretty solid weekend. Boston was great,
- 1:13:57Speaker 5: very fun, very fun to see people did you.
- 1:14:01Speaker 3: Go out to any restaurants or anything like that.
- 1:14:05Speaker 5: No, we stayed. Uh, I guess the first night or
- 1:14:08Speaker 5: so we got in Thursday, we I think we just
- 1:14:12Speaker 5: got food at the club or something. I forget what
- 1:14:15Speaker 5: we did Thursday. But Friday we went to we got lobster.
- 1:14:20Speaker 5: I got a lobster roll somewhere. Like, we went down
- 1:14:22Speaker 5: towards the water.
- 1:14:25Speaker 3: It was so.
- 1:14:25Speaker 5: Goddamn cold and it was been so cold fucking windy,
- 1:14:30Speaker 5: and it was like Me, Derek and Mooke and we
- 1:14:35Speaker 5: got food and then I was like, I gotta find
- 1:14:36Speaker 5: jewel pods somewhere, even though I know they're not legal
- 1:14:39Speaker 5: in Massachusetts. So me and Mike were like, Mooke was like,
- 1:14:43Speaker 5: I'll go with you, and we like ubered to some area,
- 1:14:46Speaker 5: went to a smoke shop they didn't have them, and
- 1:14:48Speaker 5: then we walked and.
- 1:14:49Speaker 3: It was.
- 1:14:51Speaker 5: So unbelievably windy.
- 1:14:53Speaker 3: Are you wearing this?
- 1:14:56Speaker 5: Uh?
- 1:14:57Speaker 3: No?
- 1:14:57Speaker 5: I think I had another jacket on.
- 1:14:58Speaker 3: You did, Yeah, because you wear this as your warm outfit. No,
- 1:15:03Speaker 3: I don't. I've seen you do it and I couldn't
- 1:15:06Speaker 3: believe it.
- 1:15:08Speaker 5: No, but I don't do that.
- 1:15:09Speaker 3: What's your warm jacket?
- 1:15:10Speaker 5: The other jacket that I wear all the time Patrick
- 1:15:14Speaker 5: one and has like a white fur collar. It's reversible.
- 1:15:20Speaker 3: This doesn't sound real.
- 1:15:22Speaker 5: It's in my bag right now? I mean, are you
- 1:15:24Speaker 5: out of your This is what pisses me. This grinds
- 1:15:26Speaker 5: my gears so fucking much. When people say I wear
- 1:15:28Speaker 5: the same thing every day, and it's like every time
- 1:15:31Speaker 5: they say that I wear the same thing every day,
- 1:15:32Speaker 5: it's a different outfit.
- 1:15:33Speaker 3: I'm not even kidding you. Can you break out that
- 1:15:35Speaker 3: jacket and we can decide if we've ever seen this before,
- 1:15:38Speaker 3: because the way you're describing it, I have no white
- 1:15:42Speaker 3: fur coat.
- 1:15:43Speaker 5: It's not fur, It's just it's fleece.
- 1:15:46Speaker 3: So you've bought it inside?
- 1:15:48Speaker 5: No, I actually don't even know where I got the jacket.
- 1:15:51Speaker 3: Okay, can we see it now? I'll repack your bag. No,
- 1:15:55Speaker 3: what do you mean why? I think because I want
- 1:15:57Speaker 3: you to.
- 1:15:57Speaker 5: I want you to try try a little bit, Try
- 1:15:59Speaker 5: to try to go into the memory.
- 1:16:01Speaker 3: All right, take a dive. It's a it's a is it? Is?
- 1:16:09Speaker 3: It made of Dalmatians? Man?
- 1:16:10Speaker 5: You guys are I think we might have to take
- 1:16:12Speaker 5: Wednesday episode off. You guys are grinding my gears today.
- 1:16:18Speaker 5: You know the jacket that I'm talking about.
- 1:16:20Speaker 3: No, we don't. I'm all, yes, you see.
- 1:16:24Speaker 5: I've literally worn.
- 1:16:25Speaker 1: Wore it on the sideline of Super Bowl three.
- 1:16:27Speaker 5: I remember, Mmm, I wore it to New Orleans and
- 1:16:32Speaker 5: I had to carry it around because it was so
- 1:16:34Speaker 5: hot out.
- 1:16:36Speaker 3: It's is it down Is it a down filled jacket? No,
- 1:16:41Speaker 3: sort of a wind breaker.
- 1:16:43Speaker 5: It's a thick jacket that is reversible.
- 1:16:47Speaker 1: I think it's equally crazy for you to just go
- 1:16:49Speaker 1: to an area to try and find jewel pods.
- 1:16:52Speaker 5: We didn't go to an area. We went to a
- 1:16:54Speaker 5: smoke shop.
- 1:16:57Speaker 3: By the way.
- 1:16:58Speaker 5: Why would we just go to an area?
- 1:17:00Speaker 3: Do you guys know this jacket he's talking about?
- 1:17:03Speaker 5: Yeah, you know?
- 1:17:04Speaker 3: Ohen do you know that jacket?
- 1:17:06Speaker 5: The only other jacket that I have worn in the
- 1:17:08Speaker 5: last three months.
- 1:17:11Speaker 1: I think you're just describing it funny.
- 1:17:12Speaker 5: I don't think I'm describing it funny at all. I said,
- 1:17:14Speaker 5: it's a black jacket and the collar has a fleece
- 1:17:17Speaker 5: white inside, and it's reversible. And on the other inside
- 1:17:20Speaker 5: part the body, it's green and it's a nauticat jacket.
- 1:17:27Speaker 1: Oh man, I need to see it.
- 1:17:28Speaker 5: You're not going to so that's all? Yeah, I have
- 1:17:33Speaker 5: I have my Patriots windbreaker of course.
- 1:17:35Speaker 3: But that's not warm.
- 1:17:37Speaker 5: That's not warm at all. No, God, it's like a napkin.
- 1:17:40Speaker 5: That's more just for style points.
- 1:17:42Speaker 1: Same with the Duxberry golf.
- 1:17:45Speaker 5: Yeah, style points.
- 1:17:46Speaker 3: I've thought that was Dartmouth Golf this entire time.
- 1:17:49Speaker 5: Everyone comes up to me and they're like, Dartmouth Golf,
- 1:17:51Speaker 5: and I'm like, yeah, of course, yeah, I definitely I
- 1:17:53Speaker 5: have a Dartmouth golf.
- 1:17:54Speaker 3: I thought it from some friends.
- 1:17:57Speaker 5: With my last name on the side of it.
- 1:17:59Speaker 3: Saw that, and if I did, I assumed it was
- 1:18:02Speaker 3: a software company.
- 1:18:03Speaker 1: You must have just got that stitch onto your arm.
- 1:18:06Speaker 5: Yeah, you're yeah, I did. I bought a Duxbury golf
- 1:18:09Speaker 5: jacket and then I went home and stitched my name on.
- 1:18:13Speaker 1: You had your mom personalized.
- 1:18:16Speaker 3: That is a sick coat, now that I know it's
- 1:18:18Speaker 3: truly yours.
- 1:18:19Speaker 5: Yeah it is.
- 1:18:19Speaker 3: I like that.
- 1:18:20Speaker 1: Not bad, that's cool, very nice and waspy.
- 1:18:25Speaker 3: Okay, So you went to that other you walked around.
- 1:18:28Speaker 3: Did you finally find your jewel pods?
- 1:18:30Speaker 5: No, we didn't, but uh, we went to that restaurant.
- 1:18:32Speaker 5: It's like seventy five something.
- 1:18:34Speaker 1: I don't hard. Seventy five lopsterol was dog shit.
- 1:18:38Speaker 5: M did you ever get a lobster role where you're
- 1:18:40Speaker 5: like pumped for a lobsterole and then it shows up
- 1:18:42Speaker 5: and it's just Mayo and fucking Celery. Yeah, that's ice cold.
- 1:18:46Speaker 3: If you want to.
- 1:18:47Speaker 5: Really sitting in a freezer for the last day.
- 1:18:49Speaker 3: If you want a really good lobster role in Boston,
- 1:18:52Speaker 3: it's within walking distance from Laft Boston.
- 1:18:54Speaker 5: Yeah. Uh, and it's called Luke's Lobster.
- 1:18:58Speaker 3: No, there's a I used to play lacrosse against him
- 1:19:00Speaker 3: in high school and Luke he's from Maine, great Golden
- 1:19:03Speaker 3: he went to Cap Elizabeth.
- 1:19:04Speaker 5: Isn't there Luke's Lobster in New York?
- 1:19:05Speaker 3: There's one hundreds of yea, they are doing the best.
- 1:19:09Speaker 1: He's good at math?
- 1:19:10Speaker 5: Does he's gonna I was gonna ask if he's good
- 1:19:11Speaker 5: at math.
- 1:19:12Speaker 3: I would have to assume he's good at math. But
- 1:19:15Speaker 3: he's a main boy. And he took Maine lobster and
- 1:19:18Speaker 3: he created an incredible easy lobster simple company.
- 1:19:22Speaker 5: It's pretty sick.
- 1:19:23Speaker 3: They have like ninety five locations. Yeah.
- 1:19:24Speaker 5: People probably thought he was fucking nuts when he did that.
- 1:19:27Speaker 5: They were like, you're going to open up another lobster place.
- 1:19:30Speaker 5: In Maine.
- 1:19:31Speaker 3: No, but I don't. Well, they their Marquee Woner, their
- 1:19:34Speaker 3: their headquarters restaurant or whatever is in Portland. Yeah.
- 1:19:39Speaker 5: Uh, it's a tough competition. It's tough tough thing to
- 1:19:42Speaker 5: get into.
- 1:19:42Speaker 3: And maybe they make a good lobster. Yeah. And also
- 1:19:44Speaker 3: everyone knows he's a local boy, he's a lefty. They
- 1:19:47Speaker 3: lit us up.
- 1:19:48Speaker 1: Does he farm? Does he farm the lab for himself?
- 1:19:51Speaker 3: They own? I think they. I think that's a big
- 1:19:53Speaker 3: part of their business is that they owned the lobster
- 1:19:56Speaker 3: kind of operation there? What is it vertically integrated? Do
- 1:20:02Speaker 3: they own all parts of the assembly line, supply line
- 1:20:05Speaker 3: or is it horizontally integrated? I can never remember.
- 1:20:09Speaker 5: I'd literally have no idea what you're talking about.
- 1:20:11Speaker 3: I'll look this up.
- 1:20:13Speaker 1: Some good business terminology. It sounds like but just math shit.
- 1:20:17Speaker 1: But don't they so lobsters? Do they like factory farm
- 1:20:20Speaker 1: lobsters like they do with salmon? Or like is there
- 1:20:25Speaker 1: like I don't know? Or are you just setting more
- 1:20:28Speaker 1: traps than anybody else in Massachusetts?
- 1:20:30Speaker 5: I know there's a just like there's traps everywhere.
- 1:20:32Speaker 3: Vertical integration is a business strategy where a company controls
- 1:20:35Speaker 3: more of its supply chain. So it's like if you
- 1:20:38Speaker 3: you know Amazon for example, right, what they did was
- 1:20:42Speaker 3: they bought up all their own shipping trucks yeah, and
- 1:20:44Speaker 3: warehouses so that they wouldn't have to rely on ups
- 1:20:47Speaker 3: and FedEx.
- 1:20:48Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 1:20:48Speaker 3: And that's how they managed to somehow find a way
- 1:20:50Speaker 3: to get goods to you within a day that doesn't
- 1:20:54Speaker 3: fry their sales and margins. I see you learned something. Yeah.
- 1:21:02Speaker 5: But when we were walking through Boston trying to find
- 1:21:04Speaker 5: the jewel Pods, it was so windy, and in my head,
- 1:21:08Speaker 5: I was going, you know, this is definitely windier than Chicago.
- 1:21:13Speaker 5: And I've had this thought before walking through Boston about
- 1:21:16Speaker 5: how windy it is, and then I looked it up.
- 1:21:18Speaker 5: Chicago's not even top ten windy estates in or cities
- 1:21:20Speaker 5: in the country.
- 1:21:21Speaker 3: No, it's not named the windy city as a result
- 1:21:23Speaker 3: of its wind Do you know where that name came from?
- 1:21:26Speaker 1: No, Chicago Fire.
- 1:21:28Speaker 3: No. When it had to do with the Democratic National
- 1:21:32Speaker 3: Convention which was held there, and all the politics and
- 1:21:35Speaker 3: the people were talking in a long winded way, and
- 1:21:38Speaker 3: it was like the talk of politics as being coined
- 1:21:43Speaker 3: as wind.
- 1:21:45Speaker 1: Oh so it's oh so it's like a derogatory term.
- 1:21:48Speaker 3: It's like a tongue in cheek term. Really.
- 1:21:50Speaker 1: Yeah, now I learned something.
- 1:21:52Speaker 5: Now I learned something.
- 1:21:53Speaker 1: Definitely taking that fucking stat to somebody, I'm about to
- 1:21:56Speaker 1: call my fucking parents or something.
- 1:21:57Speaker 5: Boston's number six, if anyone's here. A lot of the
- 1:22:01Speaker 5: top ones are in like Texas.
- 1:22:02Speaker 1: Uh yeah, tumbleweeds. Yeah, I wonder why they get so
- 1:22:07Speaker 1: much damn wind in Texas. I guess tornado alley. Yeah,
- 1:22:11Speaker 1: tornadoes coming.
- 1:22:12Speaker 5: Through Boston is like I've always I've always thought that
- 1:22:15Speaker 5: Boston was like colder than New York and Chicago. It's
- 1:22:20Speaker 5: like the oldest I've ever been is been in Boston
- 1:22:22Speaker 5: every single time.
- 1:22:24Speaker 1: Yeah, but you probably spent more time. And are you're
- 1:22:26Speaker 1: saying Boston or Massachusetts.
- 1:22:28Speaker 5: I'm saying Boston specifically. Yeah, huh yeah, I mean mass
- 1:22:33Speaker 5: Chusetts as a whole is cold.
- 1:22:34Speaker 3: I don't know if I'm right about this now. That
- 1:22:37Speaker 3: is one of the explanations. But another is the weather.
- 1:22:42Speaker 3: They say there's like four parts of the etymology. One
- 1:22:44Speaker 3: has to do with the eighteen ninety three World's Fair.
- 1:22:47Speaker 5: I was pretty sure it had something to do with
- 1:22:49Speaker 5: the wind because everyone talks about.
- 1:22:51Speaker 1: The weed didn't push back.
- 1:22:53Speaker 5: Well, I mean he's.
- 1:22:54Speaker 3: Learning in ap Us history that it had more to
- 1:22:56Speaker 3: do with the politics and how people were talking about
- 1:23:00Speaker 3: were like braggadocious or something like that.
- 1:23:05Speaker 1: Now you got member is blustering politicians.
- 1:23:08Speaker 3: Yeah, that's exactly right. Yeah, WHOA.
- 1:23:11Speaker 1: Now I don't know what to believe, because I would
- 1:23:14Speaker 1: Chicago to call my dad.
- 1:23:16Speaker 5: Chicago's definitely a windy city.
- 1:23:18Speaker 3: The best lobster role in Boston that I've had is
- 1:23:22Speaker 3: at Neptune Oysterco which is in the West End, but
- 1:23:25Speaker 3: barely in the West End, and it's amazing. You do
- 1:23:28Speaker 3: have to get in line. It usually takes about forty
- 1:23:30Speaker 3: five minutes standing there, so with your you know, imaginary coat,
- 1:23:33Speaker 3: I don't know if you're gonna be warm enough.
- 1:23:35Speaker 5: I don't know if anyone was waiting in line. It
- 1:23:37Speaker 5: was so goddamn cold here.
- 1:23:38Speaker 1: I'm gonna give you three types of lobster roles, filling wise,
- 1:23:42Speaker 1: I want to know which one you prefer.
- 1:23:44Speaker 3: Good game, the one.
- 1:23:45Speaker 1: Where it's so full that lobster is literally falling onto
- 1:23:50Speaker 1: whatever plate or tray, where it's just full enough that
- 1:23:55Speaker 1: you kind of have to squeeze it around and contain everything,
- 1:23:59Speaker 1: but it's enough where it's not going to fall out
- 1:24:02Speaker 1: if you have a good balance, or where it's like
- 1:24:05Speaker 1: pretty roll heavy, and it's just like the kind of line.
- 1:24:09Speaker 5: Like the one that I had in New Orleans. Yes,
- 1:24:11Speaker 5: remember that one?
- 1:24:12Speaker 1: Yeah, I mean that was that was.
- 1:24:14Speaker 5: A slim gym of lobster. It was literally the bun
- 1:24:17Speaker 5: was not separated at all, literally just a line of lobster.
- 1:24:23Speaker 5: It was great. Dude next to me was furious though,
- 1:24:26Speaker 5: because he got it too, and he was like, no,
- 1:24:27Speaker 5: I'm gonna need something more than that, remember.
- 1:24:30Speaker 1: And then they were like, Sarah, it's gonna take forty
- 1:24:32Speaker 1: minutes into the kitchen. So backed up and he stormed out.
- 1:24:37Speaker 1: He was, he was so mad.
- 1:24:39Speaker 3: That's great. Love it when you guys reminisce on your
- 1:24:41Speaker 3: great time. It was.
- 1:24:42Speaker 5: It was a great lobster roll, way better than the
- 1:24:44Speaker 5: lopsterol I had it in Boston. I would didn't finish mine.
- 1:24:47Speaker 3: To answer your question, it's bulging, yeah, spilling lobster.
- 1:24:52Speaker 5: Because when you have that, you could just move it off,
- 1:24:59Speaker 5: eat the lobster role and and then eat the lobster
- 1:25:00Speaker 5: after you got more lobster left over.
- 1:25:02Speaker 3: That's nice. Yeah, yeah, best lobsterroll I've ever had, is
- 1:25:06Speaker 3: that even tied? In Portland, Maine. It's the brown buttered
- 1:25:08Speaker 3: lobsterroll made on a bow bun, esteemed bow bun. It's incredible.
- 1:25:12Speaker 3: It's beyond belief. They're not that big, so you can
- 1:25:15Speaker 3: eat like three or four of them.
- 1:25:16Speaker 5: Mmmm.
- 1:25:17Speaker 3: Wow.
- 1:25:18Speaker 1: How much lobster they put on?
- 1:25:20Speaker 3: Not a ton, but it's it's just beyond belief.
- 1:25:22Speaker 5: I don't know what my top lobsteroll is. Probably I
- 1:25:25Speaker 5: think I've had some good ones in like Nantucket, Martha's Vineyard, Natttucket.
- 1:25:30Speaker 1: How many times you've been to Nantucket?
- 1:25:32Speaker 3: People say that reds and Wiscasset has a really good lobsteroll.
- 1:25:35Speaker 3: There's always a big line. There's interesting.
- 1:25:37Speaker 5: I've been to Nantucket probably three times, maybe four, Nate.
- 1:25:42Speaker 5: I've been to Martha's Vineyard probably three times, maybe four
- 1:25:45Speaker 5: with the family or with Nate. I went to Martha's
- 1:25:47Speaker 5: Vineyard with my family when I was younger. We used
- 1:25:49Speaker 5: to go because my grandparents grew up, like my mom's
- 1:25:52Speaker 5: from the Cape, so we used to just go like
- 1:25:54Speaker 5: on day trips to like Martha's Vineyard or Nantucket.
- 1:25:57Speaker 3: That's cool.
- 1:25:58Speaker 1: Take the ferry.
- 1:25:59Speaker 5: Yeah, it was fun.
- 1:26:00Speaker 1: The fairy is nice.
- 1:26:01Speaker 3: Yeah, if you made you know, oodles and noodles of money,
- 1:26:06Speaker 3: money was no object, and you could buy a summer home. Yeah,
- 1:26:09Speaker 3: where would you buy it?
- 1:26:10Speaker 5: Martha's Vineyard?
- 1:26:11Speaker 3: Really?
- 1:26:11Speaker 5: Yeah, definitely class.
- 1:26:13Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:26:13Speaker 5: I always like Martha's Vinyard way more than Nantucket. Why
- 1:26:17Speaker 5: I feel like it's more like like I feel like
- 1:26:20Speaker 5: Nantucket's very like shoppy. You know, it's like a lot.
- 1:26:25Speaker 5: It's a lot of like walking around and looking at like, oh,
- 1:26:27Speaker 5: there's so look at this piece. Maybe that's just because
- 1:26:30Speaker 5: I have I grew up with three sisters and all
- 1:26:33Speaker 5: girl cousins. But like my entire childhood was just walking
- 1:26:36Speaker 5: around and like sitting on a stool at like an
- 1:26:38Speaker 5: Abercrombie Abercrombie Abercrombie.
- 1:26:42Speaker 3: Wait, did you get it?
- 1:26:43Speaker 5: I don't know.
- 1:26:44Speaker 1: You still didn't say I.
- 1:26:45Speaker 5: Don't think I did say it right, But I'm not
- 1:26:46Speaker 5: gonna try again. That is another l But uh, yeah,
- 1:26:51Speaker 5: we used to like we used to like go to
- 1:26:52Speaker 5: like Nantucket and ship and I would just have to
- 1:26:54Speaker 5: like stand outside while they would like shop and.
- 1:26:56Speaker 1: What's Martha's Vineyard? Like I've been in Nantuck and I
- 1:26:59Speaker 1: haven't been to Martha's Vinyard.
- 1:27:00Speaker 5: I just remember, like in the beaches in Martha's Vineyard
- 1:27:02Speaker 5: more they're stllar waves.
- 1:27:04Speaker 3: They're a little quieter, right, it's a little more grown up,
- 1:27:07Speaker 3: a little class a little big, classier, touristy.
- 1:27:12Speaker 5: The waves in Martha's Vineyard are stellar. I just remember
- 1:27:15Speaker 5: having one of those, one of those body surfing waves,
- 1:27:18Speaker 5: and I hit it and I scorpioned full scorpion, you
- 1:27:22Speaker 5: know what I'm talking about. My feet are in front
- 1:27:24Speaker 5: of my face and not like this like around. And
- 1:27:30Speaker 5: I remember being I was underwater and the wave was
- 1:27:32Speaker 5: so big and I caught it too low. Maybe I
- 1:27:35Speaker 5: caught it too high that it just launched me down.
- 1:27:38Speaker 5: And I remember like hitting like legitimately, like big boulders underwater,
- 1:27:43Speaker 5: just getting thrown around, and I genuinely believed. I was like,
- 1:27:48Speaker 5: I'm going to die right now. And then I got
- 1:27:50Speaker 5: out of water, out of the water, and I think
- 1:27:52Speaker 5: I was like screaming, crying.
- 1:27:53Speaker 3: Do you know that that's the third most common cause
- 1:27:56Speaker 3: of paralysis in the United States? His bodies surf is
- 1:28:00Speaker 3: being tossed on your neck in too shallow water. Body
- 1:28:03Speaker 3: surfing what really? Yeah, one of the first two number
- 1:28:07Speaker 3: two is diving into pools that are too shallow and
- 1:28:12Speaker 3: breaking your neck on the bottom. You almost did that, yeah,
- 1:28:14Speaker 3: And number one is car accidents.
- 1:28:16Speaker 5: Yeah. Interesting, Oh my god, it is like a shocking feeling. Yeah,
- 1:28:24Speaker 5: like there's really no other way to replicate that.
- 1:28:26Speaker 3: Feels so much more dangerous to the degree that you know,
- 1:28:30Speaker 3: body surfing is so fun, but it's rare that you
- 1:28:33Speaker 3: find water deep enough that the wave is breaking oh yeah,
- 1:28:37Speaker 3: without a fear of being tossed on your neck. Yeah,
- 1:28:40Speaker 3: down down below.
- 1:28:41Speaker 5: But there is nothing better than getting like a good
- 1:28:43Speaker 5: wave and then going all the way.
- 1:28:45Speaker 3: All the way you got your arm out, Well that's
- 1:28:48Speaker 3: not what I mean, you know, just out ahead of
- 1:28:50Speaker 3: you like that.
- 1:28:51Speaker 5: No, but it is nothing better than when you when
- 1:28:53Speaker 5: you get when you get up, like you're like, you know,
- 1:28:55Speaker 5: the rides over and you open your eyes and you're
- 1:28:57Speaker 5: just on the beach.
- 1:28:59Speaker 3: Yeah yeah, and it's like you gotta walk back out. Yeah.
- 1:29:04Speaker 5: That's so good, such a good feeling.
- 1:29:06Speaker 3: That's so good, and you're going so long that you think, boy,
- 1:29:09Speaker 3: I need to breathe. Yeah, but I'm not going to
- 1:29:12Speaker 3: bail now, taking me all the way to the picnic blanket. Yeah, yep.
- 1:29:17Speaker 5: I remember. I remember when we were when I was
- 1:29:19Speaker 5: younger and me and my dad were bodysurfing. I remember
- 1:29:21Speaker 5: there was this one dude bald, so he moves better
- 1:29:23Speaker 5: in the water, but he was he had this technique
- 1:29:26Speaker 5: that we had never seen before we were we were,
- 1:29:28Speaker 5: me and my dad were mostly just going in like
- 1:29:30Speaker 5: like swimming and then and then catching it. He would
- 1:29:32Speaker 5: go he would go both arms and then dive in
- 1:29:37Speaker 5: and he would just he would just sail back to
- 1:29:39Speaker 5: the shore.
- 1:29:40Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:29:40Speaker 5: I mean a true professional.
- 1:29:42Speaker 3: The really good ones kind of go at an angle
- 1:29:44Speaker 3: the way that a surfer does, and they owe one
- 1:29:47Speaker 3: arm out I think, and one arm back.
- 1:29:49Speaker 1: What I've seen, that's amazing.
- 1:29:51Speaker 5: I always preferred, preferred, preferred, uh, bodysurfing to like boogie boarding.
- 1:29:56Speaker 5: Boogie boarding. I always felt like the risk of injury
- 1:29:59Speaker 5: was way higher.
- 1:30:00Speaker 3: Oh, I disagree.
- 1:30:01Speaker 5: I feel like I would get on the boogie board
- 1:30:03Speaker 5: and I feel like I would again I would catch
- 1:30:05Speaker 5: the wave too high and I'd be like above and
- 1:30:07Speaker 5: I'd be like, I know this is about to be bad,
- 1:30:11Speaker 5: and then I would like get launched in the boards,
- 1:30:14Speaker 5: like smacking you in the head while you're underwater.
- 1:30:16Speaker 3: You're not attaching the ripcord to you. No.
- 1:30:18Speaker 5: I would attach wrist, which was almost a mistake. Sometimes
- 1:30:21Speaker 5: I wish I didn't attach. It was just banging me
- 1:30:23Speaker 5: up the whole way down. Then I kill a rash
- 1:30:28Speaker 5: on my belly.
- 1:30:28Speaker 3: You didn't wear a rash card, No, I had to.
- 1:30:31Speaker 5: I never did sun protection.
- 1:30:34Speaker 1: Fuck the good old days.
- 1:30:36Speaker 5: I gotta get in the ocean. This summer, I didn't
- 1:30:39Speaker 5: hit the ocean once. Last week, Are you for real, dude?
- 1:30:42Speaker 5: This past summer was my record for number of days
- 1:30:45Speaker 5: the swimming in the ocean. Yeah, I didn't hit once,
- 1:30:48Speaker 5: by far my record. I gotta get in.
- 1:30:50Speaker 3: I had probably probably like sixty days really that I
- 1:30:55Speaker 3: taught that I swam in salt water. Yeah.
- 1:30:59Speaker 5: The last time I went the ocean was because I
- 1:31:01Speaker 5: always have been anti the ocean because I'm afraid of sharks.
- 1:31:05Speaker 5: And but the last time I went in the ocean,
- 1:31:07Speaker 5: I think I was in California, and I remember, and
- 1:31:12Speaker 5: I remember it was probably four or five years ago,
- 1:31:15Speaker 5: and I remember I was I was like, I don't
- 1:31:17Speaker 5: want to go in the water, and then I got
- 1:31:19Speaker 5: in the water and I didn't get out of the
- 1:31:20Speaker 5: water for four hours.
- 1:31:21Speaker 3: That's the best.
- 1:31:22Speaker 5: I was just by myself, just body surfing for hours,
- 1:31:26Speaker 5: so fun.
- 1:31:27Speaker 3: I used to when I was a kid. I would
- 1:31:29Speaker 3: put on a snorkel mask, or not even a snorkel,
- 1:31:33Speaker 3: just a mask, yeah, and I would just sort of
- 1:31:37Speaker 3: be in the shallows of a calm beach where the
- 1:31:40Speaker 3: water was sort of just pushing you back and forth
- 1:31:43Speaker 3: like this, looking at shells and little tiny sea life
- 1:31:48Speaker 3: and things like that. Sometimes truly for hours, to the
- 1:31:50Speaker 3: point that, looking back, I don't know why my parents
- 1:31:53Speaker 3: didn't check in on me. Yeah, because I was floating
- 1:31:56Speaker 3: face down.
- 1:31:57Speaker 1: Yeah, I'm probably singing loud enough that they could hear
- 1:32:02Speaker 1: you from the shore, Yeah, singing full voice into your snore.
- 1:32:06Speaker 3: I always believed that if I stayed in the water
- 1:32:09Speaker 3: long enough with a mask on, that I would find
- 1:32:11Speaker 3: cash that had fallen out of someone's pocket floating. Did
- 1:32:15Speaker 3: you ever one time in a pool but it was
- 1:32:18Speaker 3: only five dollars?
- 1:32:19Speaker 5: Probably like someone probably was like, we got to get
- 1:32:21Speaker 5: him out of the water, and they just threw a
- 1:32:22Speaker 5: five dollar bill.
- 1:32:23Speaker 3: And they could. But the reason that I had this
- 1:32:26Speaker 3: belief was that one time I was on a co
- 1:32:29Speaker 3: family trip with one of my sister's friends. Yeah, family,
- 1:32:32Speaker 3: and then they had that girl's family had younger sisters,
- 1:32:37Speaker 3: and one of them found a fifty dollars bill floating Dame.
- 1:32:40Speaker 3: And from that day on, I always believed that the
- 1:32:43Speaker 3: ocean was this just this treasure trove of cash.
- 1:32:48Speaker 1: Yeah, saw too for real.
- 1:32:50Speaker 3: Yeah. I spent an in order amount of time following
- 1:32:56Speaker 3: through on this. It was my way of combing the
- 1:32:59Speaker 3: bee with a metal detector, I.
- 1:33:01Speaker 1: Think, because that's where the metal detector guys are scared
- 1:33:04Speaker 1: of the water, they won't go in and go the
- 1:33:06Speaker 1: extra mile. She probably just found a wallet though, took
- 1:33:09Speaker 1: the money out, chucked the wallet.
- 1:33:12Speaker 3: Dude, whatever it was, I mean, fifty dollars at that time, like,
- 1:33:15Speaker 3: I'd never seen a fifty dollars bill before. I was
- 1:33:18Speaker 3: probably eight nine. Yeah, do you know many that's like
- 1:33:21Speaker 3: two mouths of teeth. You don't have to lose to
- 1:33:25Speaker 3: get that much money. Yeah, And that was really at
- 1:33:29Speaker 3: that time, my primary way of generating income was losing time.
- 1:33:33Speaker 1: I wasn't even getting cash for teeth. My parents were
- 1:33:35Speaker 1: giving me like fucking hot wheels and shit like that.
- 1:33:38Speaker 3: That's pretty nice, That's what I would buy with the money.
- 1:33:41Speaker 5: I think I got cash for teeth once and then
- 1:33:44Speaker 5: I never did it like then I would get like
- 1:33:46Speaker 5: like occasionally I'll get like a couple.
- 1:33:47Speaker 3: Like quarters, I would get, I would get.
- 1:33:49Speaker 5: I don't even want silver dollars.
- 1:33:52Speaker 3: Or the fifty cent pieces, which, by the way, now
- 1:33:55Speaker 3: today create my favorite ballmarkers on golf courses. A fifty piece, Yeah,
- 1:34:01Speaker 3: those are great.
- 1:34:03Speaker 5: I love a good ball marker.
- 1:34:04Speaker 1: I like to throw a sack ate your way down
- 1:34:06Speaker 1: horror poker chip.
- 1:34:07Speaker 3: Poker Chip's a good move, but poker chips make it
- 1:34:09Speaker 3: harder for people if you're in someone's line to putt Oh,
- 1:34:12Speaker 3: good call. That creates a ridge.
- 1:34:14Speaker 5: Yeah. The best ones are just the small plastic ones.
- 1:34:16Speaker 3: No fifty piece. No one's going to tell you to
- 1:34:19Speaker 3: move it necessarily, and if they do, they're not as
- 1:34:21Speaker 3: angry as they would be if it were a poker chip.
- 1:34:23Speaker 5: And I gotta get back on the links to this summer.
- 1:34:25Speaker 3: Yeah represent Duxbury.
- 1:34:27Speaker 1: Yeah, I mean that's definitely gonna love that.
- 1:34:29Speaker 5: I love that feeling and someone's like, could you move
- 1:34:31Speaker 5: your marker? And then you put the powder down, you
- 1:34:32Speaker 5: move it again. One is let me go left or right? Yeah,
- 1:34:36Speaker 5: up to you, brother, you're lie.
- 1:34:39Speaker 1: The series that I want to do with you guys
- 1:34:41Speaker 1: is breaking one hundred, but it doesn't limit to eighteen
- 1:34:46Speaker 1: holes of golf, and so it's like, how many holes
- 1:34:49Speaker 1: does it take you until you get to one hundred.
- 1:34:51Speaker 3: That's kind of cool. I don't know.
- 1:34:55Speaker 5: I feel like that would be just eighteen for me. Yeah,
- 1:34:58Speaker 5: that would be for you, Yeah you would, Yeah, definitely,
- 1:35:03Speaker 5: I'm shooting under one hundred right now. Really, I mean,
- 1:35:06Speaker 5: it's if you play by the actual The thing is
- 1:35:09Speaker 5: a lot of people don't play by the actual rules
- 1:35:11Speaker 5: of golf. So a lot of people, like I remember
- 1:35:13Speaker 5: like being in high school and people were like, yeah,
- 1:35:14Speaker 5: I just shout a seventy three and you're like really,
- 1:35:17Speaker 5: and then it's like, but they don't count like the
- 1:35:19Speaker 5: out of bounds and like the that's ridiculous, shooting out
- 1:35:21Speaker 5: of hazards and stuff like that.
- 1:35:23Speaker 3: That's crazy. I don't know anybody who would tell me
- 1:35:27Speaker 3: they've shot seventy three and not play out of bounds.
- 1:35:31Speaker 5: Yeah, but you're also not thirteen.
- 1:35:33Speaker 3: Sure, fair point, how do you know?
- 1:35:39Speaker 5: But like you know, like like people that play golf casually,
- 1:35:41Speaker 5: like they're usually chopping a couple yeah strokes of their
- 1:35:45Speaker 5: off their final color me, I play with, I play
- 1:35:48Speaker 5: with full honesty.
- 1:35:50Speaker 3: Doesn't bother me. Do you know why? It bothers a
- 1:35:53Speaker 3: lot of people, But it doesn't bother me because to
- 1:35:57Speaker 3: me now, my handy cap, the whole purpose of my
- 1:36:02Speaker 3: handicap is in order to play in you know, tournaments
- 1:36:07Speaker 3: or whatever, fun tournaments at clubs, or to play for
- 1:36:11Speaker 3: money against other people. Yeah, and I don't want my
- 1:36:16Speaker 3: handicap to be low. Yeah, so I put my scores
- 1:36:20Speaker 3: in honestly. Yeah, I don't sandbag. I don't inflate my
- 1:36:24Speaker 3: handicap unnaturally is what some people do. And I think
- 1:36:27Speaker 3: that's probably even worse honestly, But you know, if I
- 1:36:31Speaker 3: hit it up out of bounds, I'm taking the proper
- 1:36:34Speaker 3: strokes for that. Yeah.
- 1:36:35Speaker 5: But I think also people don't realize it's a lot
- 1:36:37Speaker 5: more strokes than they think.
- 1:36:38Speaker 3: The penalty is My point being though, that people who
- 1:36:40Speaker 3: do you know, put their scores in, if you end
- 1:36:43Speaker 3: up playing them in a tournament, they're fucked. Yeah.
- 1:36:46Speaker 5: Have you ever played in a tournament though, with someone
- 1:36:48Speaker 5: that cheats?
- 1:36:49Speaker 3: Yeah, I've called someone out before really for it. Well, yeah,
- 1:36:52Speaker 3: it was a big tournament.
- 1:36:53Speaker 1: Yeah, the way what they say it was, it.
- 1:36:57Speaker 3: Was a best ball teams to. I mean, it was
- 1:37:01Speaker 3: the invitational, it was the tournament and h it was
- 1:37:05Speaker 3: the last hole we were tied and uh, the guy,
- 1:37:12Speaker 3: the member's partner hit. It was a par five. The
- 1:37:15Speaker 3: members partner hit his second shot into the fescue on
- 1:37:18Speaker 3: the right. Yeah, and he went to go identify his ball,
- 1:37:24Speaker 3: even though you know, it was pretty clear that his
- 1:37:26Speaker 3: ball's gone. No, it was just in. It was. It
- 1:37:29Speaker 3: wasn't in like shit, it was on a dune that
- 1:37:32Speaker 3: had you know, rescue h but like you could see it.
- 1:37:37Speaker 3: But what you're supposed to do is you're supposed to identify.
- 1:37:40Speaker 3: If you need to identify your ball, you're supposed to
- 1:37:42Speaker 3: pick it up, look at it, and then put it
- 1:37:45Speaker 3: back down exactly the way that it was. You're not
- 1:37:49Speaker 3: supposed to improve your lie in identifying your ball. And
- 1:37:53Speaker 3: he went over. First of all, I didn't even think
- 1:37:55Speaker 3: he needed to identify his ball. I think I think
- 1:37:58Speaker 3: he said something like, oh, I think that's it, and
- 1:37:59Speaker 3: I was like, that's your ball. Great, yeah, because I
- 1:38:03Speaker 3: was I was helping him. Look, so I'm right there
- 1:38:05Speaker 3: with him. And he picked it up, looked at it,
- 1:38:10Speaker 3: put it down. Then he picked it up again and
- 1:38:14Speaker 3: moved it and then set it down, at which point
- 1:38:18Speaker 3: I was like, whoa.
- 1:38:20Speaker 5: And even if you're dropping, you're supposed to drop.
- 1:38:22Speaker 3: No he was, but he's not supposed to drop.
- 1:38:24Speaker 5: Well I'm saying, but like even if you even if
- 1:38:26Speaker 5: he was supposed to drop, he he so flagrantly improved
- 1:38:31Speaker 5: his lie after identifying his ball in front of me.
- 1:38:35Speaker 3: I'm talking. I'm with him. Yeah, uh that I and
- 1:38:40Speaker 3: it was hugely important, and I was like, well you can't.
- 1:38:43Speaker 3: I was like, I said something like, well, you can't
- 1:38:46Speaker 3: keep improving your lie, and he threw a fit and
- 1:38:50Speaker 3: he goes, you know what, fine, I'm out of the hole,
- 1:38:51Speaker 3: and he picked up his ball and put in his
- 1:38:53Speaker 3: pocket and then marched off, which.
- 1:38:55Speaker 5: Meant he knew.
- 1:38:57Speaker 3: He didn't protest. He was mad that I was falling
- 1:39:00Speaker 3: it straight. But this was dude, I genuinely money on
- 1:39:04Speaker 3: the line. There's a hat pool we put yeah, like,
- 1:39:06Speaker 3: you know, you can't, you don't fuck around.
- 1:39:09Speaker 5: I think that when people play golf, like for the
- 1:39:13Speaker 5: most part, like I know you play golf like seriously, yeah,
- 1:39:16Speaker 5: but like I think most people probably aren't even aware
- 1:39:20Speaker 5: that they're probably shooting like ten strokes higher than what
- 1:39:23Speaker 5: they think they are because of all the shit that
- 1:39:25Speaker 5: they do, right, Like that's like a lot of people
- 1:39:28Speaker 5: just play like that and then you go into it
- 1:39:30Speaker 5: like when I did tournaments, dude, like in height, Like
- 1:39:33Speaker 5: I did tournaments for three years in high school and
- 1:39:36Speaker 5: then I did them over the summer too, and everyone cheats.
- 1:39:41Speaker 5: I've told it. I've talked about it before. But like
- 1:39:43Speaker 5: if you if you went if like say you're playing,
- 1:39:45Speaker 5: uh and you're in a foursome and you all suck
- 1:39:48Speaker 5: and you all got like a so you got like
- 1:39:50Speaker 5: you all got like a triple bogie on like a
- 1:39:52Speaker 5: par five. You get one dude every single time, without
- 1:39:55Speaker 5: a doubt, one dude to be like bars all around,
- 1:39:58Speaker 5: and then everyone like some and would have to be like, dude,
- 1:40:01Speaker 5: we can't do that, Like.
- 1:40:01Speaker 3: It's fucking crazy.
- 1:40:03Speaker 5: Dude, knock We're knocking like three strokes a hole off.
- 1:40:07Speaker 3: This is the one thing that makes me happy that
- 1:40:09Speaker 3: I didn't really pursue individual sports more because it's true.
- 1:40:13Speaker 3: And this happens in tennis as well up to a
- 1:40:16Speaker 3: certain age. Yeah, you're playing competitive tennis, you're calling your
- 1:40:19Speaker 3: own lines, yeah, yeah, and people fuck each other. Yeah,
- 1:40:23Speaker 3: and it's so it can be so egregious. Yeah, because
- 1:40:27Speaker 3: you know, what's the point in being honest? Integrity of
- 1:40:30Speaker 3: the sport great, Like I have a scholarship on the line. Yeah,
- 1:40:34Speaker 3: I'm not you know what I mean? Like so, I golf,
- 1:40:39Speaker 3: tennis are are big sports where that happens, where you
- 1:40:42Speaker 3: don't have a you don't have a referee.
- 1:40:44Speaker 5: Now, yeah, it is very funny, Like it's crazy how
- 1:40:48Speaker 5: how often people cheat at golf.
- 1:40:51Speaker 1: But you guys think, Thank goodness, you guys are whistleblowers.
- 1:40:54Speaker 5: I mean, I'm not a I'm not one hundred percent
- 1:40:56Speaker 5: of whistleblower. Honestaps like the lie, I probably would have
- 1:41:00Speaker 5: to let that slid. I also don't know, you wouldn't
- 1:41:02Speaker 5: have not I knew the stakes of this tournament. Yeah,
- 1:41:04Speaker 5: and you were still playing golf to the degree that you, yeah,
- 1:41:07Speaker 5: were playing in this tournament and cared you wouldn't have Yeah,
- 1:41:10Speaker 5: I promise you. I definitely called people out in high school,
- 1:41:13Speaker 5: but like I would call I would never call out
- 1:41:14Speaker 5: like the when I was a senior I was in.
- 1:41:18Speaker 3: High school, you would have called this guy out, I
- 1:41:20Speaker 3: promise you.
- 1:41:21Speaker 5: Yeah, Yeah, you're probably right. When I when I was
- 1:41:23Speaker 5: a senior in high school, I was like kind of
- 1:41:27Speaker 5: being rotated out of the starting lineup because only only
- 1:41:30Speaker 5: six guys would play, but there'd be eight.
- 1:41:32Speaker 1: People on varsity and you were tapped out potentially.
- 1:41:35Speaker 3: I was like seven or eight.
- 1:41:36Speaker 5: Pretty much of a single time. But so the because
- 1:41:38Speaker 5: the coach was like, we already suck, like we were
- 1:41:41Speaker 5: having a bad year, and he was like, we suck.
- 1:41:43Speaker 5: I'm just gonna I'm just I'm gonna start having the
- 1:41:45Speaker 5: younger guys start. Yeah, because there's no reason, like I'm
- 1:41:47Speaker 5: not going to college for golf. There was really no
- 1:41:49Speaker 5: reason for me to be sure.
- 1:41:50Speaker 3: And uh did that hurt? No?
- 1:41:52Speaker 5: I didn't care. I was terrible, but uh are you sure?
- 1:41:55Speaker 1: Boy?
- 1:41:55Speaker 5: You could talk about it like I wasn't Like I
- 1:41:58Speaker 5: wasn't terrible, Like I could shoot like low forty, but
- 1:42:00Speaker 5: like there were kids on the like one of the
- 1:42:01Speaker 5: kids on our team when I was a sophomore went
- 1:42:03Speaker 5: to like Notere Notre Dame for golf. Oh yeah, so
- 1:42:07Speaker 5: like there was good kids, but uh yeah, we would.
- 1:42:11Speaker 5: But it got to the point where we were like
- 1:42:13Speaker 5: the me and some of the other seniors would have
- 1:42:15Speaker 5: to like compete to see who would start, and there
- 1:42:18Speaker 5: were a couple of times where some of those boys
- 1:42:20Speaker 5: were doing some doing some uh some trickery cocaine, and
- 1:42:25Speaker 5: you'd have to step in and be like, dude, no cool.
- 1:42:27Speaker 3: Yeah, so you did care?
- 1:42:29Speaker 5: Yeah, I definitely think I told on someone to the
- 1:42:31Speaker 5: captain at one point. For sure.
- 1:42:32Speaker 3: That's not a guy who doesn't care.
- 1:42:35Speaker 1: What did you say?
- 1:42:36Speaker 5: I texted him and I was like, dude. I mean,
- 1:42:38Speaker 5: I was like, because I was friends, I was good
- 1:42:39Speaker 5: friends with the captain, and I was like, dude, we're
- 1:42:42Speaker 5: doing these like tournaments to see who's getting in. I
- 1:42:45Speaker 5: was like, everyone is cheating.
- 1:42:47Speaker 3: And you gave him a name. I didn't.
- 1:42:49Speaker 5: I don't think I gave him names. I think I
- 1:42:50Speaker 5: just said I was like, dude, everyone's cheating.
- 1:42:52Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:42:53Speaker 5: I was like no, because I came in with like
- 1:42:55Speaker 5: a forty eight and the other two dudes were like
- 1:42:57Speaker 5: thirty seven, and I was like, neither of them have
- 1:43:01Speaker 5: the ability to shoot one over par ever, that's crazy.
- 1:43:06Speaker 5: So you know, sometimes you gotta like I didn't want
- 1:43:08Speaker 5: to be like I didn't cheat, but I didn't want
- 1:43:10Speaker 5: to be like I'm that much worse than these guys.
- 1:43:13Speaker 5: You know, that was more what I was saving.
- 1:43:15Speaker 1: Reputation you should have started cheating.
- 1:43:17Speaker 5: Then, No, there's nothing. It doesn't feel there's nothing that
- 1:43:20Speaker 5: feels good about cheating in golf. Like you get to
- 1:43:23Speaker 5: the end and you're like, oh wow, I shot par
- 1:43:25Speaker 5: but it's like, no, you didn't. No I didn't. Yeah,
- 1:43:26Speaker 5: like you know, in your head, you're like, I didn't
- 1:43:28Speaker 5: come close to shooting parr. I was closer to fifty
- 1:43:31Speaker 5: than I was to.
- 1:43:31Speaker 3: Par ethical king, but you're ethical. Yeah, I respect it.
- 1:43:37Speaker 3: We did the Club Championship qualifier a couple of years ago,
- 1:43:41Speaker 3: I mean is probably seven years ago now, six years ago,
- 1:43:45Speaker 3: and J R. Smith was in my flight. Yeah, you
- 1:43:49Speaker 3: know he's a golfer, right, yeah, yeah. I think this
- 1:43:51Speaker 3: was maybe he'd retired at this point. Actually maybe he
- 1:43:54Speaker 3: was still playing. I don't know either way. And the
- 1:43:56Speaker 3: top eight guys qualified. We had to play from the tips,
- 1:44:00Speaker 3: which is hard, and it was stroke play ball in
- 1:44:03Speaker 3: hole caddies, So you're there's nowhere to cheat. You cannot get,
- 1:44:08Speaker 3: you cannot hide, and is that not.
- 1:44:10Speaker 5: What you guys do in those tournaments is a typically
- 1:44:12Speaker 5: best ball?
- 1:44:13Speaker 3: Well, I think after after that, if you qualified for
- 1:44:19Speaker 3: the Club Championship, then there was quarterfinal match, semi final, match.
- 1:44:24Speaker 3: Both of those were match play, and then the championship.
- 1:44:27Speaker 3: The top two guys did a thirty six hole stroke
- 1:44:32Speaker 3: play final. Jesus, which is crazy. But I qualified for
- 1:44:38Speaker 3: the Club Championship in the qualifier out of a field
- 1:44:41Speaker 3: of sixteen, I came in seventh from the Tips shot
- 1:44:45Speaker 3: eighty five ball in hole, which I was pretty fucking
- 1:44:49Speaker 3: happy with. J R. Did not qualify. Beat him. I
- 1:44:52Speaker 3: think he finished ninth or something. Pro athlete, yeah, and
- 1:44:56Speaker 3: now I think now he's a pretty spectacular golf.
- 1:45:00Speaker 1: But he played college golf too.
- 1:45:02Speaker 3: For a little bit after that was like high stakes
- 1:45:06Speaker 3: ball in hole. You gotta make three footers. Yeah, no
- 1:45:10Speaker 3: one's giving you a play you if you miss it
- 1:45:13Speaker 3: three footer, you want to die. Yeah, and uh yeah,
- 1:45:19Speaker 3: you know from the Tips tournament pressure shot eighty three.
- 1:45:25Speaker 1: If you hit it, you get twenty million dollars. If
- 1:45:27Speaker 1: you miss it, year in jail, you take your voice
- 1:45:30Speaker 1: taking that.
- 1:45:33Speaker 5: I'm great from three feet depends on the three foot sorry,
- 1:45:35Speaker 5: five footer, No, definitely, I think I'd rather take a
- 1:45:40Speaker 5: ten footer than a five footer.
- 1:45:42Speaker 1: For twenty million dollars.
- 1:45:43Speaker 5: I got a good long putt. That was That was
- 1:45:45Speaker 5: my That was The savor of my game was my
- 1:45:48Speaker 5: chipping and my putting.
- 1:45:49Speaker 1: I'm really trying to make us into the next four play.
- 1:45:51Speaker 1: We're just gonna lift their questions I talk of golf.
- 1:45:56Speaker 5: Oh, I would dust all those fools.
- 1:45:58Speaker 3: Here we go.
- 1:46:00Speaker 5: No, I wouldn't. I played with Frankie. He was pretty good.
- 1:46:02Speaker 3: He's fucking good. Yeah.
- 1:46:03Speaker 5: I thought Frankie was gonna be a lot worse than
- 1:46:05Speaker 5: he was. And then I was like, I guess it
- 1:46:07Speaker 5: makes sense. He plays golf every single day on like
- 1:46:10Speaker 5: the hardest courses in the country. I played on a
- 1:46:14Speaker 5: public course. That course he plays that thing on his
- 1:46:18Speaker 5: is not easy though, Which one the one in a
- 1:46:20Speaker 5: Long Island?
- 1:46:21Speaker 3: Yeah? I did that too. Yeah, that was not an
- 1:46:23Speaker 3: easy course.
- 1:46:24Speaker 1: No, Yeah, it's tough.
- 1:46:27Speaker 3: The greens are hard fast, Yeah, very fast, colonial springs.
- 1:46:32Speaker 5: I gotta get back to I gotta get to the range.
- 1:46:34Speaker 5: I'll go to the range of all. Once we get
- 1:46:36Speaker 5: some warmer out, I'll start going to the range and
- 1:46:38Speaker 5: then we'll do a video golfing.
- 1:46:39Speaker 3: I played hit. I hit on the simulator this weekend. Yeah,
- 1:46:43Speaker 3: how was it good? Got my new Taylor Made P
- 1:46:46Speaker 3: nineties club I was fit for by Taylor Made I
- 1:46:51Speaker 3: hit blade. No, no blades, No, they're cavity back. I'm
- 1:46:56Speaker 3: not good enough to hit blades. Be ridiculous for me
- 1:46:58Speaker 3: to have them, but I had. I also had the
- 1:47:02Speaker 3: new q I thirty five driver. All these new clubs,
- 1:47:05Speaker 3: they had to take the plastic off, and I felt
- 1:47:08Speaker 3: bad taking the plastic because they're so pure, they're so beautiful.
- 1:47:11Speaker 5: Oh yeah, it's like when you get like a new
- 1:47:12Speaker 5: like TV.
- 1:47:13Speaker 3: Yeah yeah, and I'm hitting them strips exactly more new iPhone.
- 1:47:17Speaker 3: You're gonna put thumbprints all over it. But I uh,
- 1:47:20Speaker 3: I hate. I hated, you know, hitting the turf below
- 1:47:25Speaker 3: and scraping up the beautiful heads. Yeah yeah, yeah.
- 1:47:30Speaker 5: I remember when I first got like a I got
- 1:47:31Speaker 5: like a nice set of clubs, and I remember after
- 1:47:33Speaker 5: every time I would play, I would clean them for
- 1:47:35Speaker 5: like for like two hours strip with a brush. I'd
- 1:47:39Speaker 5: be like in the kitchen with like soap and water,
- 1:47:42Speaker 5: like scrubbing them down.
- 1:47:43Speaker 3: So you do as a kid, Yeah yeah.
- 1:47:46Speaker 5: And then eventually one day you don't clean them, and
- 1:47:48Speaker 5: then you never clean them again.
- 1:47:50Speaker 3: It doesn't matter, nothing matters anymore.
- 1:47:53Speaker 5: Yeah, it's literally like that's how I am about work.
- 1:47:56Speaker 5: That's how I was about working out too. It was
- 1:47:58Speaker 5: like I worked out every day and then one day
- 1:47:59Speaker 5: I did it, and then I just never did again.
- 1:48:02Speaker 5: I was like, well, I guess I'm never going to
- 1:48:03Speaker 5: do that again. I realized it's way easier to not
- 1:48:06Speaker 5: It is so much easier to never do it. Yeah,
- 1:48:09Speaker 5: we should do a golf video. Yeah, because when we
- 1:48:12Speaker 5: played in Saint Louis, that was fun.
- 1:48:14Speaker 3: That was fun.
- 1:48:15Speaker 5: We played with Andrew Colin.
- 1:48:18Speaker 1: Yeah, what's the So what's the premise of the video
- 1:48:22Speaker 1: going to be?
- 1:48:22Speaker 5: I think we I think if I train hard enough,
- 1:48:24Speaker 5: I think we could do one.
- 1:48:25Speaker 3: That word, you're not going to train hard enough.
- 1:48:27Speaker 5: I will.
- 1:48:28Speaker 3: You won't switch seats that are four seats away on
- 1:48:32Speaker 3: an airplane.
- 1:48:32Speaker 1: So what's the what's the handicapping?
- 1:48:35Speaker 3: Will handicap it?
- 1:48:36Speaker 5: No, I don't want to handicap it. I'm thinking we
- 1:48:38Speaker 5: do this like a while from now, in the summer,
- 1:48:42Speaker 5: in the summer, at the end of the summer, in
- 1:48:44Speaker 5: the summer where it's like nothing's going on, like there's
- 1:48:46Speaker 5: no good sports on.
- 1:48:48Speaker 3: It's just how are you going to prepare? Where are
- 1:48:51Speaker 3: you going to train?
- 1:48:53Speaker 5: It's my living room.
- 1:48:55Speaker 1: You're not going to play more golf? Than Francis this summer.
- 1:48:58Speaker 5: No, I don't think I need to work on I mean,
- 1:48:59Speaker 5: you seen my my irons. I'm strong with my irons.
- 1:49:02Speaker 3: You're surprisingly better at golf than I would have thought.
- 1:49:06Speaker 5: Oh, I got a beautiful swing like Butter. Anytime someone
- 1:49:10Speaker 5: sees my anytime my swing goes on the internet, people
- 1:49:12Speaker 5: are just like, damn, like Butter, I just have to work.
- 1:49:16Speaker 5: I just have to get back on my chipping and
- 1:49:18Speaker 5: my putting game.
- 1:49:19Speaker 1: So just eighteen, just pure eighteen.
- 1:49:22Speaker 5: You're eighteen.
- 1:49:23Speaker 1: Mm hmmm.
- 1:49:24Speaker 5: Because when you see me when I when I when
- 1:49:26Speaker 5: I perfect my chips.
- 1:49:28Speaker 1: But I just don't want the video to be over
- 1:49:30Speaker 1: halfway through.
- 1:49:31Speaker 5: It won't be because I'll crumble for sure. That's what
- 1:49:35Speaker 5: I was gonna say. When you were talking about the
- 1:49:36Speaker 5: guy spazzing out. I was like golf like brings out
- 1:49:39Speaker 5: emotions and people that like they don't even know they have,
- 1:49:42Speaker 5: Like I've like come to the verge of tears on
- 1:49:44Speaker 5: the course before.
- 1:49:45Speaker 3: Yeah, I threw a putter in a quarry.
- 1:49:49Speaker 5: Yeah. Once it gets like, dude, the thing that you
- 1:49:52Speaker 5: were saying, the thing that you were saying about how
- 1:49:54Speaker 5: there was no gimmes in putting. I would do tournaments
- 1:49:57Speaker 5: where it's like the last hole and like the entire
- 1:50:00Speaker 5: team and families are watching, and I've like, I like
- 1:50:04Speaker 5: three putted from like one foot, yeah, and you have
- 1:50:07Speaker 5: to count all of those strokes like it is devastating,
- 1:50:11Speaker 5: Like you just lost your team the tournament because you
- 1:50:14Speaker 5: just three putted under pressure. The worst was the tee
- 1:50:19Speaker 5: off though. They call your name, Harry, Harry Subtle, and
- 1:50:23Speaker 5: then you go and you just fucking just eat the
- 1:50:26Speaker 5: grass three feet before you hit the ball. It rolls
- 1:50:29Speaker 5: two feet.
- 1:50:31Speaker 1: And you just play it from there.
- 1:50:32Speaker 5: You gotta play it from there. All right, solid episode,
- 1:50:41Speaker 5: long episode. Hopefully you like golf. If you don't like golf,
- 1:50:49Speaker 5: maybe skip the second hour.
- 1:50:53Speaker 3: I thought you were talking about the next like three months.
- 1:50:58Speaker 3: In their New Fixation in New Brunswick, New Jersey, March eighth,
- 1:51:02Speaker 3: with Harry, I'll.
- 1:51:04Speaker 5: Be I'm also I'm not headlining, so keeping people. Someone
- 1:51:08Speaker 5: was like saying that we were, I'm doing like fifteen
- 1:51:10Speaker 5: to twenty minutes stops.
- 1:51:11Speaker 3: Yeah, I'm gonna be in Providence April eighth and ninth.
- 1:51:16Speaker 3: We canceled the Thursday show, so your tickets will be
- 1:51:19Speaker 3: if you're able, will be moved to the Friday or
- 1:51:22Speaker 3: Saturday show. Just I guess reach out to the clever
- 1:51:25Speaker 3: whatever figure that out.
- 1:51:28Speaker 1: So yeah, and I'm in Atlanta next weekend with a
- 1:51:31Speaker 1: new Brunswick show coming up.
- 1:51:33Speaker 5: Like Francis said, I'm in Atlanta. I'm in Atlanta this weekend.
- 1:51:37Speaker 3: That's what I just said.
- 1:51:38Speaker 5: Five shows. I guess. It's very far from Atlanta. It's
- 1:51:42Speaker 5: in some other suburb, like thirty minutes away. But please come.
- 1:51:46Speaker 1: We'll get some tickets sold for you. We'll probably you know,
- 1:51:49Speaker 1: make a little golf video or something.
- 1:51:50Speaker 5: Yeah, it'll be a good time. Harrisonilla website dot com.
- 1:51:53Speaker 3: Please come punch up dot live slash Francis alas, thank you.
- 1:51:59Speaker 1: Wow, was a.
- 1:52:16Speaker 10: Still still under ground, So I looked on out to
- 1:52:28Speaker 10: you game a rise. I was only falling one way.
- 1:52:39Speaker 5: I was only.

- 1:53:25Speaker 10: only a phone the stream dot ta. I was falling
- 1:53:49Speaker 10: one way.
- 1:54:01Speaker 5: See just a just the best basketball.
- 1:54:05Speaker 10: Paper the call just a tap of ducis blys j.
- 1:54:53Speaker 3: J st
- 1:55:00Speaker 10: H
