- 0:00Bubbles, billionaires and what it means for silver and gold.
- 0:06Let's start with bubbles. How do you feel about it?
- 0:09Do you think we're living in one of the greatest financial
- 0:12bubbles of all time? Some of the smartest guys in the
- 0:16room, including the billionaires, think that's the
- 0:20case. But we know one thing for sure.
- 0:23There's no bubble in the silver price or the gold price.
- 0:28But everywhere else we look, whether it be the stock market,
- 0:32the real estate market, even the bond market, a lot of the
- 0:37smartest people are seeing, and you're likely seeing as well,
- 0:42that we are in bubble territory. We know unlimited money
- 0:47printing, unlimited debt, unlimited everything has led to
- 0:52asset price appreciation like most of us could never have
- 0:56imagined would occur in our lifetime.
- 1:00Everything except for silver and gold.
- 1:05But is that about to change? And are we living through one of
- 1:10the greatest bubbles of all time?
- 1:16Let's go to our friend Extra's Pyramid and see what they can,
- 1:21what he can show us about a bubble.
- 1:23When we look at Extras, Pyramid guys, everything above gold and
- 1:28silver, remember those are the real assets.
- 1:32Those are the base of the entire monetary system.
- 1:37This of course is according to John Exter who worked for the
- 1:40New York Federal Reserve and just died a few decades ago.
- 1:46Everything above gold and silver, the real assets, the
- 1:50base of the system. That would include base money,
- 1:53bank money, government bonds, corporate debt, non monetary
- 1:57commodities, derivatives, even crypto currencies.
- 2:01All of that rests on this base of gold and silver.
- 2:07And when you look at the sheer volume, the sheer size of all
- 2:11those synthetic components again base money upwards in relation
- 2:19to the size of the gold and silver market, it is crazy, I
- 2:24heard someone recently say, what happens when Extra's pyramid
- 2:28gets inverted. That doesn't mean gold and
- 2:31silver go to the top. Gold and silver remain at the
- 2:34bottom, but the pyramid becomes a regular shaped pyramid where
- 2:39all that money that's at the top filters into gold and silver.
- 2:45That means we have tremendously higher prices for gold and
- 2:51silver. Are we in a bubble?
- 2:53That begs the question? Well hey, let's have some fun.
- 2:56Let's move over to this interesting political cartoon
- 3:01that says first comes the bubble, then comes the bath,
- 3:06next one, OK, there's the stock market.
- 3:08Everyone's out there yelling for encore, encore.
- 3:12And there's the bear, right? And there's the director and the
- 3:16bear saying now, now, right, the bulls out there right now, right
- 3:20And the bear saying now, now, and the director saying not yet,
- 3:24but your time will soon come. Finally, let's look at this, a
- 3:28fancy hedge fund specializing in highly complex derivatives and
- 3:32exotic financial instruments for discriminating investors.
- 3:37And what's the hedge fund manager saying?
- 3:39Buy gold. Are we seeing that?
- 3:42Let's go back to extras pyramid, right?
- 3:45Are we seeing that now the size of the derivative markets
- 3:49measures in the quadrillions. OK, remember a trillion right?
- 3:55And a quadrillion is 1000 times a trillion.
- 3:59But a trillion alone is 1,000,000 * 1,000,000.
- 4:03We could be in for major major changes in the gold and silver
- 4:09price if and when any of that synthetic components above the
- 4:15gold and silver, just a little bit of that money starts to
- 4:19filter down into the precious metals again.
- 4:22Imagine this diagram with gold and silver remaining on the
- 4:27bottom, remaining the base, but instead of it being an upside
- 4:30down pyramid, now a right side up pyramid.
- 4:34And when you imagine that, it doesn't take a lot to imagine
- 4:37that we could get tremendously higher silver and gold prices.
- 4:41But what about the billionaires? I promised you some information
- 4:45about that. What are the billionaires saying
- 4:47about silver and gold? Jeffrey Gunlock, right.
- 4:51Double Line capital, One of the smartest guys in the room
- 4:54recently said he'd consider cash and gold.
- 4:58As financial markets are displaying, quote, increasingly
- 5:02grabby behavior by investors. Jeffrey Gunlock talks about
- 5:07gold. What about Paul Singer?
- 5:09Billionaire, right? Elliott Management.
- 5:11He's moving some of his assets into gold, right?
- 5:15And this This isn't Warren Buffett, everybody.
- 5:18That's the only billionaire Bill Gates and Warren Buffett that a
- 5:22lot of us know. Guys, there's a lot of non name
- 5:25brand billionaires out there. We're seeing is an increased
- 5:30interest in their behalf in the silver and gold market.
- 5:33We're going to talk about One last Billionaire, but before I
- 5:36do that, I'm going to say thanks to our channel sponsors, First
- 5:39Mining Gold. You can learn more about them at
- 5:42firstmininggold.com, Fortuna Silver.
- 5:45You can learn more about them at fortunasilver.com and of course
- 5:49our friends at Pinbex who you want to check out Next time
- 5:53you're thinking about buying yourself some silver, gold or
- 5:56platinum like some of the billionaires are doing, go check
- 6:00out Pinbex. They've got great prices, great
- 6:03selection, and great service. But you need to discover that
- 6:07for yourself. Throw them into the mix.
- 6:08Next time you're online shopping for precious metals, I think
- 6:13you'll find what I found. With Pinbex, you always get more
- 6:16metal for your money. Who's the final billionaire that
- 6:20we want to talk about today? How about Stanley Druckenmiller?
- 6:24Everybody knows Stanley Druckenmiller and he's been
- 6:27moving some assets into gold oriented investments, more
- 6:33specifically into gold mining stocks.
- 6:35But nonetheless, we're seeing the billionaires, Maybe they're
- 6:40joining us here in the basement. Maybe what we're talking about
- 6:43is making sense to them when this extras pyramid does invert
- 6:47when there are cracks in the wall, right?
- 6:50And it always happens, doesn't it?
- 6:52I know every day goes by and it feels like everything's normal,
- 6:57all that normalcy bias or recency bias.
- 7:00But if we look at back at history guys, we know that
- 7:03financial cracks will emerge. It's like the the mag magma
- 7:08under the surface of the earth, right?
- 7:10Eventually it finds its way and we have big fundamental issues
- 7:15in the system right now. Do you think it's safe to say
- 7:19that math shows no forgiveness on the altar of truth in the
- 7:24math behind the current financial system can certainly
- 7:28be called into question after any big party.
- 7:32And I'm telling you, for the last 30-40 years in this
- 7:35country, we've had quite a party, right?
- 7:38We borrowed money like there's no tomorrow, spent like drunken
- 7:43sailors. But doesn't there always come a
- 7:46hangover? Don't the hens always come home
- 7:49to roost? Hey, you need to make up your
- 7:51mind for yourself. But when I look at all the
- 7:54evidence, when the hens do come home to roost, I want to make
- 7:58sure that I'm protecting at least part of my wealth with
- 8:01precious metals. Thank you for joining me today.
- 8:04You are the most important part of Ron's basement.
- 8:07I hope you enjoyed your time here and I'll look forward to
- 8:10seeing you again soon.
