  Yeah, so let's start with your recent move and then we'll talk a little bit about your
• 1:29
  book and about other, so many other things you have going on.

  Your recent move, you know, you said before we got on the program here that you never expected
• 1:39
  to leave Texas and now God put a move on your heart to start this new church in Florida.
• 1:46
  Tell us about that.
• 1:47
  Yeah, brother.
• 1:48
  It was quite a journey.
• 1:50
  I've lived long enough, David, that my 11 children that are still with me.
• 1:56
  I had 13 altogether, but the 11 that are still with me, I've lived long enough that
• 2:02
  they're provoking me to love and good works, which is an awesome, that's an awesome deal.
• 2:09
  And really my, my children contacted me and said, Dad, we want to do life together.
• 2:14
  We want to serve the Lord together.
• 2:17
  And that began a journey of prayer for about a year or so.
• 2:22
  And we just began praying, seeking the Lord about the possibilities, we kind of spied
• 2:27
  out the land a little bit and it all shook out in Melbourne, Florida.
• 2:34
  And through many witnesses and specific prayers answered, we discerned it was the will of
• 2:42
  God.
• 2:43
  And brother, I have lived long enough to know that no and Lord do not go together at this
• 2:51
  stage of my life, you know, I'm 67 years old.
• 2:55
  I just saluted the heavens and said, yes, sir, reporting for duty.
• 3:00
  So here we are church planting in, in Florida.
• 3:04
  So I mean, that must have taken not only a lot of prayer, but connections.
• 3:10
  Did you know anybody in that area in Florida that you moved to the preparations behind
• 3:15
  all that to getting, getting a church going, tell us a little bit more about that?
• 3:20
  Yeah, we do, we had a lot of local contacts, brothers and sisters in Christ who had served
• 3:28
  alongside us with Operation Rescue Operations, Save America.
• 3:33
  My son was already down here with his wife and two grandsons and who are part of our
• 3:41
  worship team at the church.
• 3:44
  So we had family here, we had friends here, we had fellow brothers and sisters in Christ
• 3:50
  that we had fought many a battle, many a battlefield throughout the nation.
• 3:55
  And so we really had a pretty solid foundation coming into Florida, plus we have a pretty
• 4:05
  strong, good and godly vision for the church and it just resonates David, everybody sees
• 4:13
  it and hears about it like people are actually packing up and moving from where they live
• 4:19
  into Florida to join the vision and mission.
• 4:23
  And then basically it's based on the four F's, faith, fatherhood, family and freedom.
• 4:33
  And so we're desiring a church that will point to North again and really act as an antidote
• 4:41
  to the poison that's seeking to destroy this generation and this nation.
• 4:47
  And so we're investing heavily in young men, because I am convinced whoever gets the
• 4:55
  men gets the future, whether it's the kingdom of darkness or the kingdom of God.

  And we know that manhood has just been absolutely pummeled in this nation to the point.
• 5:08
  I meet a lot of young men and they're ready to throw in the tile, but they feel like
• 5:12
  they're beating their head against the wall.
• 5:14
  Why should I become a man?
• 5:15
  Because everybody hates me, you know?
• 5:18
  And so yeah, we got our work cut out for us.
• 5:22
  There's no doubt about that brother, but we're Holy Spirit determined and God governed
• 5:27
  by his word to present this vision and mission and lay the foundation upon Christ and then
• 5:35
  just be careful that we build according to God's word.
• 5:39

  Well, it's a school that along with this church, David, this church vision, American

  Reformation Church and the school kingdom leadership instituted was download years ago,

  like decades ago.

  It was always in my heart.
• 6:29
  It was always percolating.
• 6:31
  It was always something I was praying about, but my issue, brother, was was this something
• 6:36
  for me to accomplish or was it going to be my sons and that that was never clear.
• 6:45
  But as we saw the Lord and and we think shook out, it became clear.
• 6:50
  No, it's not for your sons.
• 6:53
  They may inherit it, but you got to get it up and running, get it functional.
• 6:58
  And so the kingdom leadership institute concentrates on three main field fields of study.
• 7:07
  First, the ministry aspects of the school to train up faithful pastors and the elders in
• 7:15
  the body of Christ that will no longer just equip the church to do the work of the ministry,
• 7:23
  but to fight the Lord's battles.
• 7:26
  And in other words, no longer dumb dogs that refuse to bark when our master and his creation
• 7:34
  is being assaulted.
• 7:35
  That's right.
• 7:36
  So we're looking up to raise up quality pastors that will be men of integrity, men of courage,
• 7:43
  men of letters, knowledge, understanding and wisdom, but also what's been lacking men
• 7:49
  of action.
• 7:50
  Praise God.

  We have that aspect of the school.
• 7:53
  And then we have an entrepreneur business, financial aspects of the school to train up
• 8:01
  young men to be future paymasters in the body of Christ.
• 8:06
  In other words, when they go into the business world and the treasures of this world are yielded
• 8:12
  to them, but it's not for self and grand disment and personal well, it's to fund the kingdom
• 8:19
  of God.
• 8:20
  We need resources, David, and we need quality young men that will go out and get those
• 8:25
  resources and dedicate it to the kingdom of God.
• 8:29
  And then finally, the political statesmen aspect of the school, where we're going to train
• 8:37
  up young men in a biblical worldview of civil government.
• 8:42
  You've had on Pastor Machel Wella, you know, the doctrine of interposition, the doctrine
• 8:47
  of the lesser magistrate, understanding our founding documents and how we have strayed
• 8:53
  from them.
• 8:54
  And then what's the nuts and bolts of running a successful campaign and getting elected?

  We have been very blessed of the Lord in converting magistrates to the Lord and also to the
• 9:10
  abolition of abortion.
• 9:13
  So, but we're thinking long term here, David, so instead of having to convince people
• 9:19
  to persuade people as a magistrate of their duty, we're going to train up our own that
• 9:25
  already have the goods, already have the worldview, and know what their duty is before
• 9:32
  God when they enter the political sphere.
• 9:36
  Praise God, Rusty, what you just said, just give me like a recharge, my soul.

  You're going after the young people, Satan hates the image of God in mankind, and he's
• 9:48
  going after the youth, and he's using his earthly minions to reach them via the government
• 9:53
  schools, via the Hollywood and the entertainment industry and corporations.

  Thank God that you guys are doing your part to try to train young people up, because
• 10:05
  man, we've been losing that battle.
• 10:07
  So thank you for that, that really is encouraging to hear.

  You said you had 13 children at one point, I know Jeremiah was one of those, and there's
• 10:18
  a website called JeremiahStrong.com, and there's a video right on the homepage that says,

  Jeremiah Thomas, your son, a call to my generation.

  So Rusty, if you can just take a couple minutes and share who Jeremiah was, what he stood
• 10:34
  for, and we can direct people to the website for more information.

  Yeah, well, I just got to miss that young man, yeah, he was, he was a, you know, he was
• 10:48
  a quirky average American teenage Christian guy, you know, had his issues, and no doubt
• 10:57
  about it.
• 10:58
  David got put a special call in his life and called him to bear across, and it was a very
• 11:05
  difficult one.
• 11:06
  He suffered greatly, a lot of pain, and I can remember him going through his trial, because
• 11:14
  this guy, you know, David, he was the real deal guy, he was the answer.
• 11:19
  He was witty, he was strong, you know, he just, he was the full package, young man, you
• 11:26
  know, such a bright future, I had to have, and his, you know, his aspirations was the
• 11:31
  follow me in the ministry, he was studying apologetics and just incredible, and then, you
• 11:39
  know, he got, he got struck down in his youth with an aggressive bone cancer, and he was
• 11:46
  like, you know, all-star state champion football player, I mean, he was being recruited
• 11:51
  by college football teams, and I mean, he just had so much going for him, and then, you
• 11:58
  know, this thing came along, blindsided him, blindsided to our entire family, and as he's
• 12:04
  going through the ordeal, he's looking at his, you know, my wife and I, and say, you
• 12:09
  know, dad, mom, am I doing this well?
• 12:13
  In other words, am I suffering and dying well, you know, for my Lord?
• 12:18
  Wow, and, and he was brutally, I mean, brutally, cruelly attacked because he, you know,
• 12:26
  he, his dying wish was to meet with Governor Abbott of Texas, and to call upon him to do his
• 12:34
  duty as a governor to outlaw abortion in the state of Texas, he said, that's my dying wish,
• 12:41
  and the Lord opened that door, it was incredible, and here's my son, he's, you know, he's
• 12:47
  laid up in the hospital, he's all chemo-brained, you know, he's at the last stages of dying,
• 12:53
  and the governor, you know, to his credit, you know, called my son and spent about 20 minutes
• 13:01
  to a half an hour on the phone and being very personable with him, and then my son, I'm just
• 13:07
  telling you, but before he got this phone call, my wife was like even convincing him not to take
• 13:13
  the phone call brother, he was throwing up, he was, he was, he was a great paid, the chemo was
• 13:22
  affecting his brain, and he said, mom, I got to do this, I got to do this for the babies, you know,
• 13:28
  I got to do it, so he took the throw up bag, he threw it away, wiped his mouth, took the phone
• 13:34
  call, and then I'm telling you brother, they're going through the conversation, and then something
• 13:39
  just hits my son, and he's a boy, but I'm going to tell you at that point, he became a man,
• 13:46
  he just laid it out, I mean, he just convicted governor Abbott on his duty, you know,
• 13:55
  as a magistrate, to defy the federal beast and protect the life of these precious children who
• 14:02
  are made in the image of God, and it's called Jeremiah's wish, and his stand, and what God did,
• 14:10
  it literally touched the world, David, I'm talking about nations, his videos, his message,
• 14:18
  whereas headline news all over the world, we heard personally from 35 nations, we did,
• 14:24
  wow, and it touched Hollywood, Chris Grant reached out to him, it touched the sports world,
• 14:33
  professional football, basketball, college teams, it's just the Lord in about a five-month, six-month
• 14:45
  period, took my son, and what I could not do in 40 years of intense labor, I mean,
• 14:54
  insulated, you know, he got accomplished through my son in about five months bro, wow, and so God
• 15:03
  answered all our prayers, except one, well he did answer it, he did heal him, but he healed him
• 15:12
  by bringing him home. Wow, his ways are above our ways and his thoughts are above our thoughts,
• 15:17
  God used Jeremiah, it's something that you were working for for decades, but I want to direct
• 15:22

  David to be screenplay friendly, because you know, my background is acting Hollywood, that's my

  it has all the elements of a great story, and so any filmmaker that is interested in inspiring

  people, we actually wrote the book, so it's not going to be a large leap to go from the book

  into a screenplay, and really a feature film, and that's our hope that God will continue to use

  in the hospital, just big smile, brother, let me say something about that brother, because that
• 16:52
  is his moniker, because you know, when this thing hit him, you know, obviously it was a struggle,

  but every time he turned around, the news went from bad to worse, you know, just when we thought
• 17:09
  it couldn't get any worse, it got worse, and every single time, and I'm not saying he's perfect in
• 17:15
  this, David, he had his moments of struggle and doubt, but typically his response was a smile,
• 17:23
  he would he would put his thumbs up and he would smile, and of course our friends and our foes
• 17:31
  could not understand, like, doesn't this isn't this kid in reality, doesn't he understand what he's
• 17:37
  up against, and he did, David, but he also had his lord, and his lord was close to him,
• 17:46
  very near to him, and he knew it, and so even brother, this is the gospel truth,
• 17:53
  five minutes, because he passed away in our hole, this is the gospel truth brother, five minutes
• 18:00
  before he took his last breath, gets what he does, thumbs up and a smile,
• 18:10
  and then five minutes later, he goes home. Well, I will say good for him, he's where we want to be,
• 18:20
  and prayers for you Rusty and your family as you continue to miss him greatly, but thank God

  So now Rusty, let's switch gears for the last part of the program today and talk about your book,

  biblical strategies to abolish abortion. We had talked about it in the past, and now we've got

  you on World View Matters to share some of the bullet points that can encourage people
• 19:28
  who want to protect human life and mother's womens, but don't know what they can do.
• 19:34
  So let's just start right there Rusty. It's a big battle in America. We are a divided nation
• 19:41
  on the issue of murder of the preborn. I don't know how we got here, but we weren't. We used to be
• 19:47
  more of a godly nation, protecting life, all life human life from the womb to the tomb,
• 19:55
  and now we've got legalized euthanasia in five or six states, Dr. Assistant Suicide. We've got
• 20:03
  Planned Parenthood getting federal funding with our tax dollars, and since the Biden administration
• 20:08
  came into power, they've gotten a raise even since the Roe v. Wade was overturned. Planned
• 20:13
  Parenthood has even gotten more money. So let's talk about what we can do at the ground level,
• 20:19
  state by state, to abolish abortion. Rusty, go ahead. Well, you've opened up a whole can there,
• 20:26
  brother. Obviously, you know, the couple of minutes that we have, but let's just say that the church
• 20:35
  in the pro-life movement have not really fought this battle according to God's will, his word,
• 20:43
  and his way. And that's why for 50 years and counting, you know, the Holocaust continues.
• 20:54
  Obviously, I'm promoting the abolition of abortion, not just being pro-life. In other words,
• 21:03
  in a sense, I prefer that our nation not murder the preborn, but promoting what is the most
• 21:12
  biblically consistent response to a Holocaust that's taking place under our watch. And in my book,
• 21:22
  I lay out different chapters like foundations, you know, the governments of God, the order of God,
• 21:32
  and what I kind of show is that we have a lot of folks who, again, would call themselves pro-life,
• 21:42
  but they're very, kind of silent when it comes to, let's say, the name of Jesus and the Christian
• 21:53
  faith, they want to, they want to kind of fight this battle on secular, humanistic grounds.
• 22:02
  And so a lot of our pro-life strategies are based on marketing and, you know, studying the culture,
• 22:12
  demographics, things of this nature, the problem with that, David, according to the scriptures,
• 22:18
  as we have built this movement on sinking sand and not the solid rock of our Lord and Savior,
• 22:26
  Jesus Christ. Amen. And so when I wrote this book, I'm coming explicitly from a Christian,
• 22:36
  biblical world view. Yes, yes. Where we're beginning our marching orders not from political
• 22:43
  pundits and talking heads, but straight from the Lord our God, all right? And we have to understand,
• 22:51
  and we look at the scriptures, obviously, God's people have faced many battles, both old and
• 23:00
  new testament, and in every case, God gave instructions, gave strategies on how to deal with that
• 23:10
  battle and how to overcome in the battle. And that's the purpose of the book. Like, what does God
• 23:17
  say about this? You know, is it true that both the mother and the child are victims? In some case,
• 23:26
  is the abortionist of victim of this Holocaust? Well, these are some of the ideas, let's say,
• 23:32
  like the pro-life movement has floated, but is that true? Biblically. And so what we're seeking to
• 23:39
  accomplish here, David, is it's just, it's very simple. Yep. Equal protection and equal justice,
• 23:48
  you know, for all of us, born and preborn, God puts no difference between that child and the
• 23:56
  womb and a child outside of the womb. So how we as a nation treat that child outside of the womb
• 24:05
  is the same way we should treat the child inside of the womb. But unfortunately, the pro-life
• 24:12
  movement hasn't done that. We have made a lot of compromises, incremental strategy, you know what I
• 24:22
  mean? And when we do that, we're not standing for square upon thus say of the Lord, God said,
• 24:29
  thou shalt not murder. And he didn't give any caveat or appendage. That is his commandment.
• 24:37
  And according to God's word, we are to disciple the nations to make sure they keep his commandments.
• 24:45
  So any nation that's committing child sacrifice, the shedding of innocent blood, and for rating their
• 24:52
  sin like Sodom, this is not a nation that's being correctly disciple by the church of Jesus Christ.

  And that's why I wrote the book, brother. Amen. I want to just piggyback something you said.

  We need to recognize the Bible considers a pregnant woman to be with child.
• 25:12
  Many places in scripture with child, that's what God sees. Excuse me, when a woman becomes pregnant,
• 25:18
  she has a baby, a child in her womb. Remember, we just celebrated Christmas when Mary went to visit
• 25:24
  her cousin, Elizabeth, the first thing John the Baptist recognized Jesus when John the Baptist
• 25:29
  was yet a baby in the womb. And he leaped for joy because she said, the baby in my womb leaped
• 25:35
  for joy at the sound of your voice. So we need to get back to the biblical, you're right, the
• 25:41
  biblical strategy. These ideas that human life is worth protecting. And I just want to share this
• 25:46
  quote and let you wrap up with your final thought here, Rusty, we've got about a minute and a half
• 25:51
  left. Greg Cocoal has a great quote on this. He said, if the unborn is not a human person,
• 25:58
  no justification for abortion is necessary. However, if the unborn is a human person, no justification
• 26:06
  for abortion is adequate. Rusty Thomas, your final thoughts? Well, brother, first of all, thank you

  for this opportunity to be with you, brother David and cover these issues and topics because

  they're so critically important, brother. I think all of us, brother, we want a future and a
• 26:27
  hope for our children and our grandchildren. And so we've got to get busy with our father's
• 26:36
  business and really get a little bit more serious, a little more conscientious and deliberate,
• 26:42
  how we're serving God in these days. And let's be a faithful people that will not shrink back
