- 0:00Speaker 1: Welcome to We Talk Back Podcast, a production of iHeartRadio
- 0:04Speaker 1: and the Black Effect Network.
- 0:07Speaker 2: We're just two unapologetically Black women with an opinion who
- 0:13Speaker 2: talk back.
- 0:16Speaker 3: What's up, y'all boys? Your girl AJ Holiday. What's up, Tam?
- 0:20Speaker 2: What up, y'all boy?
- 0:21Speaker 4: That don't even sound right coming out of my mouth.
- 0:26Speaker 2: Hey, y'all.
- 0:27Speaker 4: I love y'all.
- 0:28Speaker 2: Thank y'all for coming back again.
- 0:30Speaker 4: This sweet.
- 0:31Speaker 2: Am I going to ask you about your weekend?
- 0:37Speaker 4: I guess.
- 0:37Speaker 3: I ain't do much. It was Labor Day weekend. I
- 0:40Speaker 3: didn't even realize it initially. I bought a new bicycle.
- 0:46Speaker 4: Okay. Oh, I saw you was riding.
- 0:48Speaker 2: Yes.
- 0:48Speaker 3: I'm not circulating. No more money this month, y'all. Okay.
- 0:51Speaker 3: I spent a lot of money on this bike. Mm-hmm.
- 0:54Speaker 1: And I still got to get out of little bells
- 0:56Speaker 1: and whistles, like literal bells and shit like that for.
- 0:59Speaker 3: When I'm riding. But I love riding bike. And I
- 1:01Speaker 3: learned that my.
- 1:03Speaker 1: Old bike was stolen by maintenance around this motherfucker. Yeah,
- 1:07Speaker 1: I thought it was in storage all this time.
- 1:09Speaker 3: They moved it and said they stored it. And then
- 1:11Speaker 3: when I went to go store the new bike.
- 1:14Speaker 2: It was gone.
- 1:14Speaker 3: Mm-hmm.
- 1:15Speaker 2: So what, are they going to reimburse you for it?
- 1:18Speaker 3: I'm going to see.
- 1:18Speaker 1: I hadn't been over there yet. But I haven't ridden
- 1:21Speaker 1: my bike in like a year. So I wanted a
- 1:25Speaker 1: new bike anyway. But still now, my boyfriend don't have
- 1:28Speaker 1: a bike to ride when he come. We got to
- 1:29Speaker 1: get him a bike. Y'all, riding bike really brings out
- 1:34Speaker 1: your inner child. Same with like flying the kites and
- 1:37Speaker 1: shit like that.
- 1:38Speaker 3: It's just so fun, man.
- 1:39Speaker 4: I like it too.
- 1:41Speaker 3: It's so fun. Like I rode the Whole Foods. It's
- 1:44Speaker 3: like five miles one way. And then coming back. So
- 1:48Speaker 3: I rode like maybe like 11 miles or something like that.
- 1:50Speaker 3: It was just so fun. It started raining on me.
- 1:54Speaker 3: I felt like a kid. But that's all I did.
- 1:59Speaker 3: Did anybody even cook out? Did anyone you know cook out?
- 2:02Speaker 2: I did hear that some people were cooking out, but
- 2:05Speaker 2: I didn't go. And the only reason I had every
- 2:07Speaker 2: intention to go, but me and Janae, shout out to
- 2:11Speaker 2: my bestie Janae. We just like bad for each other
- 2:14Speaker 2: in a way because we be getting drunk together.
- 2:16Speaker 4: That's a good time. We be bad influences. Like, yeah,
- 2:21Speaker 4: let's do one another.
- 2:22Speaker 2: Yeah, I'll take another.
- 2:23Speaker 4: And then it just before you know. Yes, before you know,
- 2:26Speaker 4: we fucked up.
- 2:27Speaker 2: So on Monday, I was like, stayed in bed all
- 2:30Speaker 2: day because I couldn't function. It take a whole day
- 2:34Speaker 2: to recover after you drink. That's the part that sucks.
- 2:38Speaker 2: And we always say we're not going to do it
- 2:39Speaker 2: no more.
- 2:40Speaker 4: And then we do it again.
- 2:42Speaker 3: That's why I don't drink like that, man.
- 2:44Speaker 1: Like very few and far in between do I actually drink.
- 2:48Speaker 1: And I have a good time when I'm drunk, but
- 2:50Speaker 1: I don't enjoy ruining my next day.
- 2:52Speaker 2: It's the next day. But it wasn't always this way.
- 2:56Speaker 2: I don't know what it is.
- 2:59Speaker 3: Maybe our liver and shit ain't that good no more.
- 3:01Speaker 3: We got to drunk it out when I'm young.
- 3:04Speaker 1: I used to get so fucked up living in Columbia.
- 3:06Speaker 1: I never understood it. I never understood why I was
- 3:09Speaker 1: so drunk in college and shit.
- 3:11Speaker 4: Because everybody's drunk in college for the most part.
- 3:13Speaker 3: I don't know how I got home. Who the fuck
- 3:16Speaker 3: drove me? It was God. Yeah, every time.
- 3:18Speaker 2: Every time.
- 3:19Speaker 4: Bitch, I could have been dead.
- 3:22Speaker 2: I just think about some of the choices I made.
- 3:24Speaker 2: And that's why we be trying to give y'all some game,
- 3:26Speaker 2: y'all young girls that's listening to the show, because some
- 3:30Speaker 2: of the shit is just a blessing I'm still here,
- 3:32Speaker 2: you know?
- 3:33Speaker 1: And that's a helpless feeling speaking to the younger generation
- 3:36Speaker 1: because I already know y'all ass gonna still do the
- 3:38Speaker 1: dumb shit cause most people gonna have to learn from
- 3:41Speaker 1: their own experience you can't tell them they can't learn
- 3:44Speaker 1: vicariously through us they gotta go actually do all the dumb.
- 3:48Speaker 3: Bitch shit we done told you about right.
- 3:52Speaker 1: Just recently on Lil Duval page, this girl posted a,
- 3:57Speaker 1: she was like twerking in a bathing suit, posting all
- 4:00Speaker 1: these different men, like, and talking shit about them. And
- 4:03Speaker 1: I commented, I said, who going to tell her that
- 4:06Speaker 1: this is like, this makes her look bad more than
- 4:08Speaker 1: it does them. Right. So I guess she didn't, she
- 4:13Speaker 1: didn't appreciate that. So then she started coming for my
- 4:15Speaker 1: old ass in the comments. Meanwhile, I look way younger
- 4:19Speaker 1: than this 20 something year old little girl.
- 4:21Speaker 4: That's how they always love to do. That's the first. Yes.
- 4:25Speaker 1: And you trying to publicly shame these men without taking accountability.
- 4:28Speaker 3: You are who you beat. There is an aspect of
- 4:32Speaker 3: these niggas in you, little bitch.
- 4:36Speaker 4: That is how you attracted them. I'm sorry to this man.
- 4:39Speaker 3: I do not know this.
- 4:40Speaker 4: Once it's over, I've never seen you a day in
- 4:41Speaker 4: my life.
- 4:42Speaker 3: Yes, because you changed, right?
- 4:43Speaker 1: So the version of you that would even fuck with
- 4:45Speaker 1: him no longer exists. You would not be twerking on
- 4:49Speaker 1: the internet publicly trying to shame them when you still
- 4:52Speaker 1: look like them.
- 4:53Speaker 3: Right.
- 4:53Speaker 1: Your energy signature still look like them niggas you're trying
- 4:57Speaker 1: to shame.
- 4:58Speaker 4: Me, I'm like, what niggas? I've never seen them niggas
- 5:02Speaker 4: a day in my life.
- 5:02Speaker 3: There would be no evidence.
- 5:05Speaker 1: One thing black men be right about is that black
- 5:08Speaker 1: women do not like to take accountability.
- 5:11Speaker 2: I've never seen a man a day in my life.
- 5:16Speaker 1: But the difference, I think, between us and men is
- 5:19Speaker 1: that we understand that about women, right? Because we are
- 5:23Speaker 1: friends with women. Women show up the same way in
- 5:25Speaker 1: their friendships as they show up in these relationships. Men
- 5:29Speaker 1: don't know how these niggas be bitch ass niggas at
- 5:32Speaker 1: home because they be completely different to their friends versus.
- 5:35Speaker 3: How they are in their relationship.
- 5:37Speaker 2: Yes.
- 5:38Speaker 1: But yes, I know the bitches because the bitches is
- 5:40Speaker 1: still the bitches.
- 5:41Speaker 3: And the friendships.
- 5:42Speaker 2: I saw this video where this nigga was laid up
- 5:44Speaker 2: with his girl.
- 5:45Speaker 4: He was like... I'm scared of the thunder and the lightning.
- 5:48Speaker 2: She said, oh, my baby's scared. He said, mm-hmm.
- 5:51Speaker 4: It went boom, boom.
- 5:53Speaker 2: And then he turned and saw that the camera was
- 5:56Speaker 2: on him.
- 5:56Speaker 4: He's like, man, get that fucking camera out of my face, man.
- 5:58Speaker 4: You fucking playing too much. Oh, now you tough.
- 6:01Speaker 3: Right.
- 6:02Speaker 2: Because you was just in here scared of thunder.
- 6:05Speaker 4: Talking about this boom, boom. Right, man.
- 6:10Speaker 1: So, yeah, we know women retarded. Y'all be trying to
- 6:13Speaker 1: gaslight us. If you're a heterosexual man, you don't know
- 6:17Speaker 1: how these men are in relationships.
- 6:19Speaker 3: You'll never know. They'll never show you that side of them.
- 6:22Speaker 2: I be feeling like niggas, and I might be wrong,
- 6:27Speaker 2: but I feel like men relationships are very superficial anyway.
- 6:30Speaker 2: And that's how they stay friends so long. Because y'all
- 6:33Speaker 2: don't even know each other for real.
- 6:35Speaker 3: They don't.
- 6:36Speaker 1: They don't ask any questions. One of my homeboys, Ken,
- 6:38Speaker 1: he be telling me stuff sometimes. I'm like, okay, did
- 6:40Speaker 1: you ask such a... They don't even ask questions. They
- 6:43Speaker 1: really don't give a fuck about each other, dog.
- 6:45Speaker 3: They really don't.
- 6:47Speaker 1: Even like their close cousins and stuff like that, they
- 6:49Speaker 1: don't really care. They don't ask enough questions to understand...
- 6:53Speaker 1: the dynamic in these people's lives.
- 6:55Speaker 4: Who they are. They know what team they like and
- 6:58Speaker 4: maybe what liquor they drink. That's it.
- 7:01Speaker 3: Right.
- 7:02Speaker 1: I had a friend, like, him and his best friend
- 7:04Speaker 1: stopped talking for, like, two years.
- 7:06Speaker 3: And maybe he's lying to me, but I'm like, what happened?
- 7:11Speaker 3: What happened? And, like, why did y'all stop talking? Like,
- 7:13Speaker 3: y'all never... Y'all just... Started back hanging out and y'all
- 7:16Speaker 3: back cool? No. I need closure.
- 7:18Speaker 2: I need to understand.
- 7:19Speaker 4: I need clarity on what is going on.
- 7:21Speaker 1: Before, I stopped being friends with a bitch and I
- 7:24Speaker 1: really can't start being friends with you ever again in life.
- 7:27Speaker 1: Because now I'm not comfortable telling you my secrets no more.
- 7:30Speaker 1: The whole dynamic of the relationship has changed.
- 7:32Speaker 4: It's over.
- 7:33Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 7:33Speaker 3: Like, I don't even know how to converse with you
- 7:36Speaker 3: no more for real. Like, hey, hi. That's all I
- 7:38Speaker 3: got for you. Right.
- 7:40Speaker 4: It is silent.
- 7:40Speaker 3: Men are weird.
- 7:43Speaker 4: Men are weird.
- 7:44Speaker 3: We love y'all.
- 7:45Speaker 4: Cause you know, they be getting mad at us.
- 7:47Speaker 2: Anytime we say anything about them, they be so angry.
- 7:49Speaker 4: We love y'all. We don't want to live without y'all.
- 7:52Speaker 1: But my thing is, this is a female podcast. This
- 7:55Speaker 1: is a woman's podcast. So most of our perspectives, It's
- 7:58Speaker 1: going to be coming from a woman. Just about every perspective.
- 8:02Speaker 3: Yes. It's our perspective on whatever the thing is.
- 8:06Speaker 1: Somebody commented, and I know it's actually one of my friends.
- 8:10Speaker 1: He commented and was like, can I throw a monkey
- 8:12Speaker 1: wrench in this?
- 8:13Speaker 2: No, you can't.
- 8:15Speaker 1: We're women, and it's our perspective. Go get your own
- 8:18Speaker 1: platform and throw a monkey wrench over there. I don't
- 8:20Speaker 1: feel like conversing with you niggas in 200 to 300.
- 8:24Speaker 3: 300 characters on Instagram.
- 8:27Speaker 2: Like, how you mad because I don't think it's a
- 8:30Speaker 2: date if we're both paying?
- 8:31Speaker 4: Yeah, it's not a date. It's not a date. Why
- 8:34Speaker 4: are you mad about that?
- 8:35Speaker 3: Yeah, it's not a date. It's just not.
- 8:38Speaker 1: You know?
- 8:39Speaker 3: Now, I mean, to each his own, right? I wouldn't
- 8:42Speaker 3: mind paying.
- 8:43Speaker 1: If I... Somebody commented and said, what if the day
- 8:46Speaker 1: $ 460 and you ask this person to pay $ 76, which
- 8:50Speaker 1: would probably be like around a tip or something for
- 8:52Speaker 1: that amount. First of all, $ 460 for a dinner is
- 8:56Speaker 1: excessive as fuck. I don't know any place food is
- 8:59Speaker 1: that good that I need $ 460 worth of it.
- 9:02Speaker 3: We could have went to Whole Foods, my boy.
- 9:05Speaker 4: Got me some groceries for my house. But I've had
- 9:07Speaker 4: that happen.
- 9:08Speaker 2: Me and Janae getting drunk at Del Frisco. Bill came
- 9:11Speaker 2: back $ 560. He's like, God damn.
- 9:14Speaker 3: Did y'all flinch? Did you say, bitch, you going to
- 9:17Speaker 3: eat my ass for half of this?
- 9:18Speaker 1: No.
- 9:19Speaker 4: I wanted to.
- 9:19Speaker 3: They be wanting us to pay. I'm going to tell Janae.
- 9:25Speaker 3: Don't tell her. They be wanting us to pay for
- 9:27Speaker 3: dinner and head.
- 9:29Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 9:29Speaker 3: You want me to, like, pay half? Like, you want
- 9:32Speaker 3: me to pay half and possibly still suck your dick tonight? No, sir.
- 9:35Speaker 4: That's crazy.
- 9:36Speaker 3: If I put my card on this table.
- 9:39Speaker 2: We two bad bitches having dinner, like me and Janae.
- 9:42Speaker 2: It might as well have been me and Janae at dinner.
- 9:45Speaker 2: That's it.
- 9:46Speaker 3: Yeah, like, no.
- 9:47Speaker 1: So if that's what you want, you know, we're friends.
- 9:50Speaker 1: Don't be looking at me. You just got a discount
- 9:52Speaker 1: on dinner and discount pussy.
- 9:54Speaker 3: No. No.
- 9:55Speaker 4: Get out of here.
- 9:56Speaker 3: This is not a bargain box. What the fuck?
- 10:00Speaker 4: This ain't no rollback pussy.
- 10:03Speaker 3: This ain't no fucking bogo hoe. Fuck out of here.
- 10:09Speaker 4: Girl, let's get into sins.
- 10:10Speaker 2: We just talked 10 minutes. They did a single sin.
- 10:12Speaker 2: All right.
- 10:12Speaker 3: What do we got? What do we got?
- 10:16Speaker 2: What do we got?
- 10:16Speaker 1: What do we got?
- 10:17Speaker 3: All right, so you were in Charlotte. This weekend was
- 10:20Speaker 3: Labor Day. Did you not go to, what's it called?
- 10:24Speaker 4: No Knife.
- 10:25Speaker 2: I wanted to go to No Knife. Why? Why didn't
- 10:29Speaker 2: I go? Because I knew it was going to be
- 10:31Speaker 2: stupid crowded. The line was wrapped around the building. I
- 10:34Speaker 2: want my waffle, when I go for my waffle, I
- 10:36Speaker 2: want my waffle to be fresh and not, you know,
- 10:39Speaker 2: I don't want it to be super busy. So I'm
- 10:41Speaker 2: going to wait a little while before I go. And
- 10:43Speaker 2: I need them to iron out all the kinks.
- 10:45Speaker 4: Before I get there.
- 10:52Speaker 1: So the baby has the internet uh well maybe it's
- 10:55Speaker 1: just the charlotte people um up in arms all right
- 10:58Speaker 1: it says oop the baby repost uh supporters 40 a
- 11:01Speaker 1: seed for banana pudding and chicken amid backlash over his
- 11:05Speaker 1: charlotte restaurant charging 45 for a loaded waffle and six
- 11:10Speaker 1: dollars for bottled water y'all just cheap as hell that's
- 11:15Speaker 1: what he said So, yeah, so you have all the
- 11:20Speaker 1: Charlotte residents. They are complaining about the prices at No Knife,
- 11:26Speaker 1: the baby's new restaurant in Charlotte, North Carolina.
- 11:29Speaker 3: And, I mean, let's look at a couple of the
- 11:31Speaker 3: prices here.
- 11:32Speaker 1: So he has this innovative, okay, soul food cornbread waffle menu.
- 11:37Speaker 1: that has collard greens. I mean, I wouldn't order it
- 11:39Speaker 1: because it got meat all up in there. It might
- 11:41Speaker 1: be smoked turkey or something.
- 11:42Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 11:43Speaker 1: Collard greens, candy yams, and mac and cheese on a
- 11:45Speaker 1: cornbread waffle. And that is $ 45. I think that's the
- 11:50Speaker 1: highest ticket item on the menu. He has a nine
- 11:54Speaker 1: ounce lobster tail, but then it says $ 40, but then
- 11:59Speaker 1: it also says market price. So that could actually be
- 12:02Speaker 1: more than $ 40 at some point, I guess.
- 12:04Speaker 3: I don't know.
- 12:04Speaker 2: Yeah, because the price on meat just be changing every day.
- 12:07Speaker 2: It's like the stock market now.
- 12:08Speaker 3: It's like gas.
- 12:10Speaker 4: Yeah, it's ridiculous.
- 12:12Speaker 1: So one waffle, plain Jane waffle is $ 15. Banana pudding
- 12:16Speaker 1: is $ 25.
- 12:16Speaker 3: Is that a waffle?
- 12:18Speaker 4: Banana pudding waffle.
- 12:20Speaker 3: Okay, okay.
- 12:21Speaker 4: So this is all like waffles right here.
- 12:23Speaker 1: Different flavors of, okay, sweet potato waffle, $ 25.
- 12:28Speaker 4: Now, I saw a picture.
- 12:29Speaker 1: DJ Chuck T posted, the baby actually brought his plate
- 12:33Speaker 1: to the table.
- 12:34Speaker 3: I doubt all y'all would get that type of service.
- 12:37Speaker 1: The baby probably won't be serving you your food, but
- 12:40Speaker 1: he served DJ Chuck T.
- 12:42Speaker 3: And the fucking waffle was like in a pizza box.
- 12:44Speaker 3: It was just that big.
- 12:46Speaker 4: It's big. And, you know, you don't have to go here.
- 12:52Speaker 4: You don't have to eat here.
- 12:53Speaker 3: I don't even go here.
- 12:54Speaker 1: Right.
- 12:55Speaker 4: You don't have to eat here. You know, the prices.
- 12:57Speaker 2: And that's what I don't get because y'all go to
- 13:00Speaker 2: these restaurants, you'll go to Ruth Chris and pay $ 40
- 13:03Speaker 2: for a piece of chicken stuffed with cheese and won't
- 13:07Speaker 2: bat an eye and won't complain about anything because you
- 13:09Speaker 2: know that this is their price. So why you go
- 13:12Speaker 2: to his shit and do that? You don't have to go.
- 13:14Speaker 2: If you like Waffle House prices, go get your waffle
- 13:18Speaker 2: from Waffle House.
- 13:18Speaker 4: It's not a problem. He won't be mad at you.
- 13:22Speaker 4: That's what I don't like.
- 13:22Speaker 2: And I hate that black people do that, that they
- 13:24Speaker 2: feel like because it's black-owned, it needs to be discounted. Absolutely.
- 13:29Speaker 1: Yeah, and I mean, so I guess most black people
- 13:32Speaker 1: like the experience, right? Ruth Chris, to me, is not
- 13:35Speaker 1: like that spectacular of an experience.
- 13:38Speaker 3: I don't know that no restaurant is.
- 13:40Speaker 1: I finally ate at STK in Vegas. Just so underwhelming.
- 13:47Speaker 1: You know what I'm saying? The food was like, okay,
- 13:50Speaker 1: I could have made this at the house. It was
- 13:52Speaker 1: just not that great. What's the restaurant, the steakhouse we
- 13:54Speaker 1: ate at the other day where I had that bronzini?
- 13:58Speaker 4: We was at Dean's.
- 13:59Speaker 3: Now, Dean's was busting.
- 14:01Speaker 4: Yeah, that was good.
- 14:03Speaker 3: Dean's was busting.
- 14:03Speaker 1: The check was busting to $ 300- some dollars at our ass. Yeah,
- 14:08Speaker 1: but I'm willing to pay for quality because I don't
- 14:11Speaker 1: fuck around with food.
- 14:13Speaker 3: I'm not eating it. This shit is trash. I'm not
- 14:15Speaker 3: the type of person to leave a review.
- 14:18Speaker 1: I just won't come back, and I'll probably word of
- 14:20Speaker 1: mouth tell people your shit is trash. But I'm never
- 14:23Speaker 1: like going to make a post about people's prices. Now,
- 14:26Speaker 1: I do feel like black people do be price gouging
- 14:28Speaker 1: their people sometimes because white people really don't frequent black
- 14:32Speaker 1: establishments like that. So your clients, your customers is usually
- 14:36Speaker 1: going to be another black person. And if I can
- 14:39Speaker 1: go to another place that's comparable to yours owned by
- 14:44Speaker 1: another ethnicity and get cheaper prices, I am then questioning
- 14:49Speaker 1: why are you charging.
- 14:50Speaker 3: $ 50 for a double shot? Of liquor. Yeah. Y'all are. Yeah,
- 14:54Speaker 3: I get it. Something to get your price gouging on.
- 14:58Speaker 4: But the waffle was the size of a steering wheel, though.
- 15:00Speaker 4: That's the thing.
- 15:02Speaker 1: No, I'm going to go there. I'm going to eat there.
- 15:05Speaker 1: I love me a good-ass fucking waffle.
- 15:07Speaker 3: Okay?
- 15:08Speaker 1: I won't get chicken, but I definitely would throw a
- 15:10Speaker 1: lobster tail on there or some crab cakes or something
- 15:12Speaker 1: like that if he has it.
- 15:14Speaker 3: I'll probably pay the $ 45 for that.
- 15:17Speaker 1: It's a place in Vegas I just went to a
- 15:19Speaker 1: couple months ago, and it's like a famous chicken and
- 15:22Speaker 1: waffle type spot. And the meal that my people had,
- 15:31Speaker 1: that one plate was $ 95.
- 15:33Speaker 3: I didn't even realize it.
- 15:36Speaker 1: It had all the different meats, lobster tails, shrimp, all
- 15:39Speaker 1: that shit on the waffle.
- 15:42Speaker 3: Mm-hmm. $ 95.
- 15:43Speaker 4: Yeah, but you got all that meat.
- 15:47Speaker 3: And it's a black-owned restaurant.
- 15:50Speaker 2: But y'all, first of all, shit, everything is expensive right now.
- 15:55Speaker 2: Name one thing that ain't. Everything is expensive. We can't
- 15:59Speaker 2: get nothing cheap right now. So why you think you
- 16:01Speaker 2: gonna come to his shit and get something cheap? Exactly.
- 16:03Speaker 4: You know? I don't know.
- 16:04Speaker 1: Stay your ass at the house, man. That's the cheapest
- 16:07Speaker 1: place you could be. But if you anything like me,
- 16:10Speaker 1: you under them covers is still spending money.
- 16:12Speaker 3: In the dark.
- 16:13Speaker 4: Yeah, man.
- 16:13Speaker 2: Let me tell you. It's my mama birthday. When y'all
- 16:17Speaker 2: hear this, it'll be my mom's birthday. Happy birthday to
- 16:19Speaker 2: my mom. We plan her birthday. My sister baby shower
- 16:23Speaker 2: next month. We planning that. One of my friends is
- 16:26Speaker 2: another one that's having a baby. She's expecting a good
- 16:29Speaker 2: gift from me and I got to get her something nice.
- 16:31Speaker 2: Then I got another bridal shower to go to. Baby,
- 16:33Speaker 2: I got a can of sardines and crackers. That I'm
- 16:36Speaker 2: in this bitch eating tonight. Just so I can show
- 16:39Speaker 2: up for everybody.
- 16:41Speaker 3: I made some pasta last night. You know how long
- 16:43Speaker 3: that'll last?
- 16:44Speaker 4: Shit, a couple days.
- 16:45Speaker 3: You can at least get two meals out of that
- 16:47Speaker 3: for $ 30.
- 16:47Speaker 4: Okay?
- 16:49Speaker 3: Listen, stay your ass in the house and stop breathing.
- 16:53Speaker 2: Right.
- 16:54Speaker 3: If you're concerned about... The place in Vegas is called
- 16:56Speaker 3: Stuff My Turkey. You ever eat there?
- 16:58Speaker 4: Mm-mm. Is it black-owned?
- 17:00Speaker 3: Black-owned, yes.
- 17:02Speaker 1: Food bussin', though. Bussin', bussin'. But it's not cheap. You know,
- 17:06Speaker 1: I really don't want cheap food.
- 17:08Speaker 3: That's what I'm saying. If the quality is good, I'll
- 17:11Speaker 3: wait for it.
- 17:11Speaker 1: I don't mind waiting a while for my food because
- 17:13Speaker 1: I understand good food takes a while to cook.
- 17:15Speaker 3: I don't want shit fast. Yeah, me too.
- 17:18Speaker 4: That's the thing.
- 17:19Speaker 2: If you putting out bullshit for $ 45, then that's a problem.
- 17:23Speaker 2: But if it's good, Big Mama gone. What you got
- 17:26Speaker 2: built for Big Mama for real?
- 17:30Speaker 3: Shame. What else we got going on the stupid internet
- 17:33Speaker 3: news this week, Chai?
- 17:35Speaker 4: Okay, let's look at this.
- 17:38Speaker 2: So, a mother who previously shared footage, y'all probably saw this,
- 17:42Speaker 2: of her son's behavior issues shares this video where she
- 17:45Speaker 2: called the police after he attacked her and pulled her
- 17:48Speaker 2: hair out. And it's a video of this woman trying
- 17:51Speaker 2: to practice some restraint and not kill her little baby
- 17:55Speaker 2: boy in that house. Because he's about 10 or so.
- 17:59Speaker 2: He getting big. He ain't no little, he ain't no small,
- 18:02Speaker 2: small child.
- 18:02Speaker 3: I think he's a teenager. I think he's like 13
- 18:04Speaker 3: years old.
- 18:05Speaker 2: Oh, really?
- 18:06Speaker 3: Mm-hmm.
- 18:07Speaker 2: Yeah, because he looked like he a little older. He
- 18:09Speaker 2: ain't no small child. Like, he can hurt her. You know,
- 18:12Speaker 2: he at an age where he can physically hurt her.
- 18:14Speaker 2: And he is, like, for real crashing out. And she's
- 18:17Speaker 2: on the phone with the police. And they're having... I mean,
- 18:22Speaker 2: with the operator. And the operator was pissing me off
- 18:25Speaker 2: in the video, y'all.
- 18:27Speaker 4: I feel like the.
- 18:27Speaker 2: Operator was trying to get her in trouble for child
- 18:31Speaker 2: abuse instead of, like.
- 18:32Speaker 3: Yeah, it sounded like something to me. Mm-hmm.
- 18:34Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 18:35Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 18:35Speaker 4: You know, like treat her like the victim.
- 18:39Speaker 2: And a lot of people were suggesting that this is
- 18:42Speaker 2: what happens when a father is not in the home.
- 18:47Speaker 2: And we don't have any proof that the father is
- 18:49Speaker 2: not in the home.
- 18:50Speaker 4: It doesn't say that.
- 18:51Speaker 2: He might not just be home for all we know.
- 18:54Speaker 2: But what it seems to me is this child has
- 18:57Speaker 2: like some mental illness.
- 19:00Speaker 1: Yeah, he definitely has some behavioral issues, right? And there's
- 19:03Speaker 1: a lot of men who were raised by black women,
- 19:05Speaker 1: single black women who came out.
- 19:07Speaker 3: Okay.
- 19:07Speaker 1: So I, that narrative kind of absolutely does rub me
- 19:11Speaker 1: the wrong way.
- 19:13Speaker 3: Okay. And it's like, they say it to, to, to
- 19:16Speaker 3: be like a slight.
- 19:18Speaker 4: To women.
- 19:18Speaker 3: To women.
- 19:19Speaker 4: Instead of the men.
- 19:21Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 19:21Speaker 1: The men, you know, they, they basically, they aren't exempt
- 19:26Speaker 1: because they weren't there.
- 19:27Speaker 3: Right.
- 19:28Speaker 1: They chose they, and most men, cases, they are choosing
- 19:32Speaker 1: not to be in the children's lives.
- 19:33Speaker 4: So why are the.
- 19:34Speaker 1: Women being blamed once again for the decisions of men?
- 19:39Speaker 3: It's disgusting.
- 19:40Speaker 1: And I wish people were really stopping. But I don't
- 19:45Speaker 1: blame her for recording him. Now, the internet is ink,
- 19:49Speaker 1: it's not pencil. You can't erase it. I don't blame
- 19:52Speaker 1: her for recording him, but posting that shit online is whack. Okay,
- 19:55Speaker 1: your son, he might be having a manic episode of
- 19:57Speaker 1: some sort, possibly. To me, he just looks like a
- 19:59Speaker 1: spoiled brat. She started taking things away from him and
- 20:03Speaker 1: then he started acting out.
- 20:05Speaker 3: Even more.
- 20:06Speaker 4: And he clearly watched baddies.
- 20:08Speaker 2: You need to cancel his Zeus network account because he.
- 20:12Speaker 4: Act like a baddie.
- 20:13Speaker 1: He act just like, just all his behavior is giving baddies. Yeah,
- 20:18Speaker 1: she's on the phone with dispatch and he's attacking her. Initially,
- 20:21Speaker 1: he started trying to fake cry and then he hopped
- 20:24Speaker 1: on her again. Now, recently, it's a 39-year-old mother, Kimberly King, Milwaukee.
- 20:34Speaker 3: Her 21-year-old daughter stabbed her.
- 20:37Speaker 1: 12 times in a Chick-fil-A parking lot two days ago.
- 20:43Speaker 1: With her child and her grandchild in the car.
- 20:46Speaker 3: No, it didn't kill her. She had to get out
- 20:48Speaker 3: the car. She pulled over.
- 20:49Speaker 1: Because they got into an argument. They were driving from
- 20:51Speaker 1: Florida to Milwaukee or some shit like that.
- 20:52Speaker 3: They were on the highway.
- 20:54Speaker 1: And she got out the car. She ran into the Chick-fil-A.
- 20:58Speaker 1: And they had to help stop the bleeding. She stabbed
- 21:02Speaker 1: her mom 12 times in her head. All over black
- 21:05Speaker 1: people also. So it is not bad that she's recording
- 21:10Speaker 1: him because children do kill their parents.
- 21:12Speaker 3: Right.
- 21:13Speaker 1: It seems like she's been trying to show restraint and
- 21:16Speaker 1: not hurt him.
- 21:17Speaker 2: That's what I gave. That's what it gave. She trying
- 21:20Speaker 2: not to kill this little boy in this house.
- 21:22Speaker 4: That's what it seemed like.
- 21:23Speaker 3: Because I'm pretty sure she could.
- 21:25Speaker 2: Yeah, because he ain't that big where he can't get,
- 21:27Speaker 2: you know, the business. And all this with a lot
- 21:30Speaker 2: of people were in the comments like he would have
- 21:32Speaker 2: touched every wall in that building.
- 21:34Speaker 1: No, I definitely would clean the fucking house with him. Yeah.
- 21:37Speaker 3: I promise.
- 21:39Speaker 1: I don't believe in really hitting little people. When they
- 21:41Speaker 1: get that age right there, you got to beat them up.
- 21:44Speaker 1: You fail somewhere and you got to course correct this
- 21:46Speaker 1: little motherfucker at some point.
- 21:48Speaker 3: But he definitely needs to go get evaluated.
- 21:50Speaker 2: Yeah, I probably would have went to jail behind that
- 21:52Speaker 2: that day because he was like pulling her hair and
- 21:54Speaker 2: doing all that.
- 21:56Speaker 4: I'm about to take you up out.
- 21:59Speaker 1: But maybe sometime in a facility we'll correct that behavior.
- 22:02Speaker 4: You know what I'm saying?
- 22:04Speaker 1: That's why they have programs like Scared Street and things
- 22:08Speaker 1: like that. And also because he does seem to be,
- 22:13Speaker 1: you know, a lot of people had choice words, right?
- 22:16Speaker 1: He does seem to probably be gay to me, right?
- 22:21Speaker 3: She needs to explore that too. Because he's a young boy.
- 22:28Speaker 3: What happened? Did something happen?
- 22:31Speaker 4: Yeah, discover what, if anything happened.
- 22:33Speaker 3: Is he angry? Yeah, is he angry for a reason?
- 22:36Speaker 1: As a mom, you will never want to fail your kid.
- 22:40Speaker 1: Right now, they both failing.
- 22:41Speaker 3: Mm-hmm. It is a sad state of affairs, but she.
- 22:46Speaker 1: Taking it to the internet and creating content off of
- 22:48Speaker 1: it is disgusting.
- 22:52Speaker 2: So that's what I didn't understand. Like, why did you
- 22:54Speaker 2: take it to the internet? Like, are you just, like,
- 22:57Speaker 2: trying to get help and this is the only way
- 22:59Speaker 2: you know how? Like, have you tried all the things
- 23:02Speaker 2: locally and you just feel like you're not getting any results?
- 23:05Speaker 2: So now you're taking it to a broader audience to
- 23:07Speaker 2: see who can assist? Because what was the purpose of
- 23:11Speaker 2: showing us all of that?
- 23:12Speaker 3: Yeah, I don't know.
- 23:13Speaker 1: She seemed a little bit off to me, too, posting
- 23:18Speaker 1: that online.
- 23:19Speaker 4: Yeah, because... A little bit.
- 23:22Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 23:23Speaker 2: Because even just how she communicate with him just sound like,
- 23:27Speaker 2: you know. But I mean, he was acting like a
- 23:29Speaker 2: nigga off the street. So sometimes you got to talk
- 23:31Speaker 2: to him like that nigga off the street.
- 23:33Speaker 1: Right.
- 23:34Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 23:36Speaker 2: So, hold on. I have a question real quick before
- 23:38Speaker 2: we go on to the next scene. Because I'm trying
- 23:42Speaker 2: to work on my communication and how I talk to
- 23:45Speaker 2: people and how I respond to things. And I said to,
- 23:51Speaker 2: on the phone with this guy, I said, nigga, yeah,
- 23:57Speaker 2: I like flowers, nigga.
- 23:59Speaker 4: Like that, right?
- 24:00Speaker 3: Mm-hmm.
- 24:01Speaker 2: And he took it, he said that nigga to him
- 24:05Speaker 2: was the same thing as if he called me a bitch.
- 24:12Speaker 3: Oh, so he, I mean, he doesn't like to be
- 24:13Speaker 3: called nigga, so note taken. Yeah.
- 24:16Speaker 4: Yeah, note taken.
- 24:17Speaker 2: But he said that was across the board for men.
- 24:20Speaker 2: If it was another man calling him a nigga, that
- 24:23Speaker 2: it would be okay. But if it was a woman, when.
- 24:25Speaker 3: A woman called him a nigga. Not nigga.
- 24:28Speaker 4: That's how I felt. We are niggas.
- 24:31Speaker 2: That's what I said.
- 24:32Speaker 4: I didn't feel.
- 24:33Speaker 2: I was like, well, I said it as a term
- 24:36Speaker 2: of endearment. He was like, yeah, just like how women
- 24:38Speaker 2: say bitch to each other as a term of endearment.
- 24:40Speaker 2: But if I say it to them, it's a problem.
- 24:42Speaker 2: That's how men feel about a nigga, and I ain't
- 24:44Speaker 2: never heard that before.
- 24:45Speaker 3: Never ever in my life have I heard that. Okay,
- 24:48Speaker 3: I thought I was crying.
- 24:50Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 24:50Speaker 2: No.
- 24:50Speaker 3: Boy, he was trying to start a debate about nothing.
- 24:54Speaker 1: Black people, nigga is not exclusive to black men. Yeah. Boy. What?
- 25:01Speaker 3: Oh, excuse me. Let me not call him a boy.
- 25:03Speaker 1: Then that would also be a problem.
- 25:07Speaker 3: Yeah. You know, what?
- 25:10Speaker 4: Yeah, that's what he said.
- 25:10Speaker 2: I'd never heard that before. But I was like, you
- 25:12Speaker 2: know what? I won't call you a nigga anymore. And then, like,
- 25:15Speaker 2: literally two sentences later, I was like, nigga, please.
- 25:18Speaker 4: And I was like, you know what? My bad.
- 25:22Speaker 1: I mean, if it was a situation where he doesn't
- 25:24Speaker 1: use the term at all, and he's saying that, understandable.
- 25:28Speaker 3: But you use nigga, and you think.
- 25:30Speaker 1: That women aren't supposed to say nigga because it's like
- 25:34Speaker 1: a man saying bitch?
- 25:35Speaker 3: That don't make any sense to me. Come on.
- 25:37Speaker 2: I never heard that.
- 25:37Speaker 3: Okay.
- 25:39Speaker 4: Y'all tell me if y'all ever heard that before.
- 25:41Speaker 3: I never heard that. Ever, ever, ever. Which one are these?
- 25:46Speaker 3: What are we doing? I feel like I left something
- 25:49Speaker 3: off here. Hold on a second.
- 25:55Speaker 2: On the boat.
- 25:57Speaker 3: Okay.
- 25:59Speaker 4: Hold on.
- 26:00Speaker 3: Hold on, hold on. Do y'all follow this Muppet Kiki? Who?
- 26:05Speaker 3: This Muppet. Kiki on Instagram. Do you follow her?
- 26:09Speaker 2: No, I've never heard of her.
- 26:10Speaker 3: Man, I want to get Kiki on the podcast. She's
- 26:14Speaker 3: a Muppet.
- 26:15Speaker 1: And you know, I had the idea to get a
- 26:17Speaker 1: Muppet created once before and then somebody popped up on
- 26:20Speaker 1: Instagram with the Muppet and child, she be having her
- 26:23Speaker 1: lace laid.
- 26:25Speaker 3: She got a son.
- 26:27Speaker 1: Anyway y'all so uh man gets confronted on cruise after
- 26:31Speaker 1: allegedly scamming a woman out of $ 1, 100 and taking her
- 26:35Speaker 1: name off the reservation actual cost of the trip was
- 26:39Speaker 1: only $ 500.
- 26:40Speaker 3: Carnival cruising right out of Charleston.
- 26:42Speaker 1: At that probably right I want my motherfucking money back
- 26:46Speaker 1: period So she pulls up on him and his friends
- 26:51Speaker 1: and they are in the jacuzzi, child.
- 26:53Speaker 3: She's like, oh, you thought I wasn't going to get
- 26:55Speaker 3: on this boat, huh? Yeah.
- 26:58Speaker 1: Woman says she thought she was booking an MSC cruise
- 27:02Speaker 1: from August 30th through September 6th with the former associate
- 27:05Speaker 1: she met abroad, another MSC cruise in December 2025. According
- 27:11Speaker 1: to her, the two made plans and she sent nearly
- 27:13Speaker 1: $ 1, 100 after receiving what she claims were fake itineraries, booking
- 27:19Speaker 1: numbers and invoices. But while traveling to Galveston to board
- 27:23Speaker 1: the MSC Seascape cruise, She says the man suddenly stopped responding.
- 27:30Speaker 3: That is so fucked up.
- 27:31Speaker 1: She's traveling to get on a cruise. The man suddenly
- 27:33Speaker 1: stops responding to her text and blocked her number. After
- 27:36Speaker 1: calling the cruise line, she claimed she learned he had
- 27:39Speaker 1: only paid $ 524 for the cruise, which left her wondering
- 27:43Speaker 1: where the rest of the money went.
- 27:45Speaker 3: Instead of turning around and going home, the woman.
- 27:48Speaker 1: Says she purchased a completely separate reservation aboard the same
- 27:53Speaker 1: ship departing that day. Once on board, she says another
- 27:58Speaker 1: passenger spotted the man on a hookup app.
- 28:03Speaker 4: Girl, ew.
- 28:05Speaker 3: His face just popped up on the screen with him
- 28:07Speaker 3: doing that.
- 28:10Speaker 4: That nigga lip was quivering.
- 28:11Speaker 2: He was scared.
- 28:12Speaker 3: Yes! He's like, he's going to put hands on me.
- 28:15Speaker 1: And helped him arrange a surprise meeting. Helped her arrange
- 28:19Speaker 1: the surprise meeting. She recorded the confrontation and said she
- 28:22Speaker 1: never intended to physically harm him, but she wanted him
- 28:26Speaker 1: to admit what allegedly happened so she could report the
- 28:31Speaker 1: matter to the crew of security and law enforcement.
- 28:34Speaker 2: Yeah. That's messed up.
- 28:36Speaker 3: He's a thief. He in there with a brassiere on.
- 28:38Speaker 1: Right.
- 28:39Speaker 4: A little tiny ass brassiere.
- 28:42Speaker 3: In the jacuzzi with that girl money.
- 28:45Speaker 2: And then talk about somebody said, yeah, I think I
- 28:47Speaker 2: want to move to Charlotte.
- 28:49Speaker 4: I don't come to Charlotte with that bullshit y'all on.
- 28:52Speaker 3: That's what he said?
- 28:53Speaker 4: Yeah. Uh-uh. Don't come over here. That bullshit.
- 29:00Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 29:01Speaker 3: That's terrible, man.
- 29:01Speaker 4: People be thieves, man.
- 29:02Speaker 2: People will take advantage of you and use you. And
- 29:05Speaker 2: I want to know where y'all went for that many
- 29:07Speaker 2: days for $ 500.
- 29:09Speaker 1: I feel like the one time in my life that
- 29:12Speaker 1: I have been on a cruise and I hate them. Um,
- 29:15Speaker 1: It was on a carnival cruise out of Charleston. And
- 29:18Speaker 1: that shit was around about 500 something dollars. It was
- 29:20Speaker 1: like a three, four day cruise.
- 29:22Speaker 2: Four days?
- 29:24Speaker 3: Yeah. But it was an interior room. It was terrible.
- 29:27Speaker 3: We didn't have no, we had like the little hole
- 29:29Speaker 3: in the wall because I booked it last minute. No balcony.
- 29:33Speaker 3: Oh my God. I feel like I was in a
- 29:35Speaker 3: cheap motel on the ocean.
- 29:36Speaker 2: Yeah. That's why I don't like, I don't like cruises.
- 29:39Speaker 2: It just made me feel poor.
- 29:40Speaker 1: And then you realize like we on a boat in
- 29:45Speaker 1: the middle of the fucking ocean for an extended period
- 29:47Speaker 1: of time this is not safe yeah eating this fucking
- 29:51Speaker 1: same cardboard pizza every day and unlimited ice cream.
- 29:54Speaker 4: Like, that shit is trash, actually.
- 29:56Speaker 3: I hate it.
- 29:57Speaker 2: But you know, I just went on a cruise and
- 29:59Speaker 2: I had a ball.
- 30:00Speaker 4: And I typically don't.
- 30:04Speaker 2: Like, that's why I was like, it was like our Christmas,
- 30:06Speaker 2: like we do a Christmas thing every year. And last
- 30:08Speaker 2: year we did a cruise and I hated it. Like,
- 30:11Speaker 2: I hated the idea of it. But because it was
- 30:13Speaker 2: the group, I was like, okay, I'm down. And when
- 30:15Speaker 2: I tell you I had, we went to Coco Cay
- 30:17Speaker 2: and I cut up at Coco Cay so bad. And
- 30:21Speaker 2: I kept saying, I don't have my fucking kids. So
- 30:24Speaker 2: that could be my excuse for acting, behaving the way
- 30:26Speaker 2: I did.
- 30:28Speaker 3: You don't got your kids.
- 30:29Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 30:31Speaker 1: I think any trip is fun when you got a
- 30:33Speaker 1: bunch of people. Because when you're ready to lay down,
- 30:34Speaker 1: somebody ready to go.
- 30:36Speaker 3: You know what I'm saying?
- 30:36Speaker 1: Like, it's just fun when you got a bunch of people.
- 30:39Speaker 1: You can make anything pop into it. But I don't know.
- 30:42Speaker 1: I'll pass on the cruises. I'd rather take the flight
- 30:44Speaker 1: to wherever island or wherever I want to go at.
- 30:47Speaker 4: Me too.
- 30:48Speaker 3: Now, my daddy wife, she worked for like a luxury.
- 30:50Speaker 1: Well, it's a logistics company she works for, but they
- 30:55Speaker 1: own like a cruise line. So they have like all
- 30:57Speaker 1: these like discounts, international cruises. You just fly to Europe, whatever,
- 31:02Speaker 1: all over. It might be MSC. It might be MSC.
- 31:05Speaker 1: I got to ask her again.
- 31:07Speaker 4: Yeah, find out.
- 31:07Speaker 2: What's up?
- 31:08Speaker 4: What's good with that?
- 31:10Speaker 1: Look, actually at the live show this year, We've met
- 31:14Speaker 1: this young lady before. She's the avid listener of the show,
- 31:17Speaker 1: and I cannot remember her name.
- 31:18Speaker 3: I'm so sorry, Sweet Pea. But she pulled up on
- 31:21Speaker 3: me again this year. We took a picture. She takes
- 31:24Speaker 3: a picture with us every year. I don't know if
- 31:26Speaker 3: you remember her. She was with her mom the first year.
- 31:29Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 31:31Speaker 3: Yeah, but she was like, y'all should do a cruise.
- 31:33Speaker 1: I'm like, you think people are going to book it?
- 31:35Speaker 1: You think people are really going to come if we
- 31:37Speaker 1: do a trip or a cruise or something like that?
- 31:39Speaker 3: Like if we talk back something?
- 31:41Speaker 4: Yeah, I think that would be fun.
- 31:42Speaker 2: Holler at your people and see if we can get, like,
- 31:44Speaker 2: something set up. Because that would be good.
- 31:46Speaker 4: After we just finished talking about how we hate it.
- 31:49Speaker 1: And it's poor.
- 31:51Speaker 3: No, but it would be something, okay, kind of affordable.
- 31:53Speaker 3: We can get a group of people together. It would
- 31:55Speaker 3: be a good trip. You know what I'm saying? Yeah.
- 31:57Speaker 3: I don't know.
- 31:58Speaker 4: I'm down for that.
- 31:59Speaker 3: Just a thought. We still got to do.
- 32:00Speaker 1: Listen, I literally was thinking, like, really jotting down ideas
- 32:05Speaker 1: for campings.
- 32:08Speaker 4: I'm with it, too.
- 32:09Speaker 2: I'm kind of scared of that, but I'm with it.
- 32:11Speaker 2: If we're going to do it, we need to do
- 32:12Speaker 2: it soon before it gets too cold. Mm-hmm.
- 32:15Speaker 3: Y'all, because it ain't no such thing as I don't
- 32:17Speaker 3: need no nigga in the woods.
- 32:19Speaker 4: Yeah, fuck that.
- 32:20Speaker 2: Yes, I do.
- 32:21Speaker 3: And so I have another, like, I'll tell you about
- 32:23Speaker 3: it when we get off here.
- 32:24Speaker 2: Anyway.
- 32:25Speaker 4: All right.
- 32:27Speaker 3: But I want it to be like some funny Blair
- 32:29Speaker 3: Witch type shit.
- 32:30Speaker 4: Oh, girl, fuck out of here. See, I ain't got
- 32:32Speaker 4: time for that. Funny Blair Witch. Bitch, ain't shit funny
- 32:36Speaker 4: about that? What the fuck you talking about?
- 32:40Speaker 2: But I wanted to talk about Todd Tucker, but we'll
- 32:43Speaker 2: talk about.
- 32:43Speaker 4: That on Patreon. Y'all come on over to Patreon.
- 32:46Speaker 2: We gonna get on to Todd-ass and talk about that. Shame.
- 32:50Speaker 3: Alright, so this week, y'all. This is reality check.
- 32:55Speaker 1: Like the other check, the British spelling of check. We
- 32:59Speaker 1: have Joanna Colbert on We Talk Back this week. And
- 33:03Speaker 1: we're talking about, you know, a reality show type shit
- 33:06Speaker 1: because your girl right here is doing a reality show.
- 33:09Speaker 3: Yeah, I am.
- 33:12Speaker 2: We'll be right back. We got a guest this week.
- 33:20Speaker 3: Yes, we have a very special guest on We Talk Back.
- 33:23Speaker 1: We have Joanna Colbert. She is a reality star personality
- 33:29Speaker 1: from selling Tampa. And we want to talk about the
- 33:34Speaker 1: transition from reality to reality.
- 33:36Speaker 2: Right. That part. That part.
- 33:39Speaker 3: I would agree. It's a transition.
- 33:42Speaker 2: So you're in Charlotte now.
- 33:44Speaker 3: I'm in Charlotte.
- 33:45Speaker 2: And Tampa.
- 33:45Speaker 3: Back and forth. Tampa has my heart too.
- 33:48Speaker 2: Okay. What brought you back to Charlotte?
- 33:50Speaker 3: Family, more so family. But I used to live in
- 33:53Speaker 3: Charlotte years ago.
- 33:54Speaker 5: A lot of people, I don't know, they may know that,
- 33:56Speaker 5: know that about me. But I love Charlotte. It always
- 34:00Speaker 5: was something that was in my heart.
- 34:01Speaker 3: I love the weather here. I love the people.
- 34:03Speaker 5: And so, yeah, it was it was time for me.
- 34:05Speaker 2: It was an easy transition.
- 34:06Speaker 3: It was easy.
- 34:07Speaker 2: Listen, I left Charlotte and I was like, fuck Charlotte, right?
- 34:10Speaker 3: Oh, no. 2024, I left.
- 34:13Speaker 2: I was like, I'm never coming back to Charlotte. Went
- 34:15Speaker 2: to L.A., broke my foot, left L.A., went to New York.
- 34:20Speaker 2: And then I like New York. I just don't like
- 34:22Speaker 2: New York in the wintertime.
- 34:24Speaker 4: It was just miserable.
- 34:25Speaker 2: And the noise pollution in New York, I don't know
- 34:28Speaker 2: how y'all do it.
- 34:28Speaker 3: I don't sleep.
- 34:29Speaker 2: We would be recording.
- 34:30Speaker 3: I'm like, girl, we got to wait for the train
- 34:32Speaker 3: to go by.
- 34:32Speaker 1: Right.
- 34:33Speaker 2: And Tammy plays.
- 34:33Speaker 3: So true. Yes.
- 34:35Speaker 2: It was just bad. And then I realized like, Charlotte
- 34:38Speaker 2: is not that bad. Charlotte is a great city. So
- 34:40Speaker 2: it's just, sometimes you have to leave where you at
- 34:43Speaker 2: to appreciate where you at. That's so true.
- 34:45Speaker 3: It's like relationships. Sometimes you leave them, then you back
- 34:49Speaker 3: in them.
- 34:49Speaker 2: Right.
- 34:50Speaker 1: I never, I used to live here for a while too.
- 34:52Speaker 1: I never hated Charlotte. I think Charlotte is a good
- 34:54Speaker 1: place to raise kids.
- 34:54Speaker 2: It is.
- 34:55Speaker 3: It's just neutral. You know what I'm saying?
- 34:57Speaker 1: It's just a good, it's not like, nothing super bad
- 34:59Speaker 1: or super good, it's just a growing still also. So
- 35:03Speaker 1: I think it was a good place for black people
- 35:04Speaker 1: to get money too.
- 35:05Speaker 4: I would agree.
- 35:07Speaker 3: Always something to do.
- 35:08Speaker 2: Always.
- 35:08Speaker 3: Something to eat.
- 35:10Speaker 2: Now that's the thing. It's so many restaurants. You could
- 35:12Speaker 2: try a different restaurant in Charlotte every day and not
- 35:14Speaker 2: go to the same place.
- 35:15Speaker 3: That's what I've been doing.
- 35:16Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 35:17Speaker 3: Charlotte Chamber of Commerce. So, okay.
- 35:21Speaker 2: Tell us who was Joanna before reality TV?
- 35:26Speaker 5: Joanna was really living in reality.
- 35:30Speaker 3: That's what it is. I worked.
- 35:32Speaker 5: I was in economic development. I raised my son. I
- 35:36Speaker 5: was just enjoying life. I was eating like I still do,
- 35:39Speaker 5: going to restaurants, enjoying my family. And When we had
- 35:43Speaker 5: the opportunity to do the show, obviously my life changed
- 35:46Speaker 5: a little bit. But in general, I'm the same person,
- 35:50Speaker 5: always have been, and always will be.
- 35:52Speaker 2: So you were already living in Tampa when you joined
- 35:54Speaker 2: the show?
- 35:55Speaker 3: I was.
- 35:55Speaker 5: I moved to Tampa in 2017, because at the time
- 35:59Speaker 5: I was married, And my husband got stationed in McDeal.
- 36:03Speaker 5: So it's an Air Force base in Tampa. That's how
- 36:05Speaker 5: I got to Tampa.
- 36:06Speaker 3: OK. Yeah. OK.
- 36:07Speaker 2: And then how did you decide that you wanted to
- 36:09Speaker 2: participate in a reality show?
- 36:11Speaker 4: Because it's not easy to do.
- 36:13Speaker 5: I didn't choose it. It chose me. I can't say
- 36:17Speaker 5: that I did anything other than just be at the
- 36:19Speaker 5: right place at the right time. I got my real
- 36:21Speaker 5: estate license. I end up going to work for a brokerage.
- 36:25Speaker 5: We went. What happened was we did a photo shoot
- 36:28Speaker 5: for Women's History Month. And it was all women and
- 36:33Speaker 5: were decent looking women. And it just got a lot
- 36:35Speaker 5: of publicity. And at the time, Selling Sunset was looking
- 36:40Speaker 5: at doing another concept of reality docuseries on real estate.
- 36:45Speaker 5: And they wanted minority women.
- 36:47Speaker 3: So they reached out to us.
- 36:48Speaker 2: Oh, nice.
- 36:48Speaker 3: And so that's how it happened.
- 36:51Speaker 2: So let me ask you this. Do you feel like
- 36:54Speaker 2: your reality... difference differs from reality TV like what we
- 36:59Speaker 2: saw on reality TV versus your real life uh-huh like
- 37:03Speaker 2: was it dramatized yeah like was it extremely different or
- 37:06Speaker 2: was it that reality I can only speak for me
- 37:10Speaker 2: okay because a little bit just okay don't move it
- 37:13Speaker 2: too much because it's special.
- 37:15Speaker 3: Okay hold on no no no don't move the mic
- 37:16Speaker 3: I mean don't.
- 37:17Speaker 1: Move the stand but oh what about this yeah that's
- 37:19Speaker 1: good is it okay you hear her good right Okay, sorry.
- 37:22Speaker 3: Okay, cool. No problem. We don't have to edit. Just go. No, no. Sorry.
- 37:25Speaker 2: That's fine.
- 37:25Speaker 3: We're going to work it out.
- 37:26Speaker 1: Okay.
- 37:27Speaker 5: I would say for me personally, that was really who
- 37:30Speaker 5: I am. I didn't try to put on for a show.
- 37:33Speaker 5: I was myself and I can stand proud in that.
- 37:37Speaker 5: Do I think some of the other ladies put on?
- 37:39Speaker 3: Absolutely.
- 37:40Speaker 5: But I have no issues with that. Some people just...
- 37:44Speaker 5: want to be more extra.
- 37:46Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 37:47Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 37:47Speaker 3: And that's okay.
- 37:48Speaker 5: But for me, it was, it was my reality.
- 37:51Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 37:51Speaker 5: I remember crying on there and I couldn't believe that
- 37:54Speaker 5: I cried.
- 37:54Speaker 3: I want to know.
- 37:57Speaker 5: I'm a Capricorn.
- 38:04Speaker 3: Until I'm not. Capricorns be mean to men. Like the
- 38:08Speaker 3: female Capricorns, they be mean to men. Sometimes. I'm not
- 38:12Speaker 3: going to say me. I could be a little bit cold.
- 38:15Speaker 3: I can be very not understanding. That's what it is. Okay. Okay.
- 38:25Speaker 4: What was the question?
- 38:26Speaker 2: What were you crying about?
- 38:27Speaker 5: Oh, I was crying because I was sharing at the
- 38:31Speaker 5: time with my friend at the time that I was
- 38:34Speaker 5: going through a divorce and I hadn't told anybody.
- 38:37Speaker 3: And it was just very, it was a tough time
- 38:40Speaker 3: for me. And the producers knew that. I didn't want
- 38:44Speaker 3: to talk about it.
- 38:45Speaker 2: Oh, that's what I was about to ask.
- 38:46Speaker 3: But they kind of like pushed me to talk about it.
- 38:49Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 38:50Speaker 2: So you shared that on reality TV and then the
- 38:53Speaker 2: world got to see you very vulnerable.
- 38:55Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 38:55Speaker 2: Did you feel like remorse for sharing that on reality TV?
- 38:59Speaker 2: Was there any like backlash or people saying shit to
- 39:02Speaker 2: you like, bitch, you don't know my life? No.
- 39:04Speaker 3: None of that? No, none of that.
- 39:06Speaker 5: I would say I probably was kind of relieved a
- 39:09Speaker 5: little bit. But no, I think people were even more understanding.
- 39:14Speaker 5: I think a friend to this day saw that episode
- 39:18Speaker 5: and she was going through a divorce and she reached
- 39:20Speaker 5: out to.
- 39:21Speaker 3: Me and we ended up speaking and became friends. Yeah,
- 39:24Speaker 3: I think people resonated with it.
- 39:27Speaker 4: Yeah, absolutely.
- 39:28Speaker 3: Do you ever go back and watch episodes? No. I
- 39:33Speaker 3: did not want to see me, hear me.
- 39:36Speaker 2: I do not. You didn't like it?
- 39:37Speaker 3: It's not that I didn't like it. It's just weird
- 39:39Speaker 3: looking at yourself. It's like the podcast. Do you really?
- 39:42Speaker 1: I mean, I do because I be looking at to
- 39:43Speaker 1: see like edits and stuff, but. I don't really, like,
- 39:47Speaker 1: I'm just now starting to like my voice for real.
- 39:49Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 39:50Speaker 2: I always feel like I sound like a fat ass man.
- 39:52Speaker 2: So I know what you mean.
- 39:54Speaker 4: I do.
- 39:54Speaker 2: I'm like, God damn, my voice deep as hell. And
- 39:57Speaker 2: then especially with my hair like this, when that outfit
- 40:00Speaker 2: I just took off, it was cute. I was like
- 40:02Speaker 2: asking her, do I look like a stem?
- 40:03Speaker 3: No, it was cute. What's a stem?
- 40:06Speaker 2: It's like a feminine stud.
- 40:09Speaker 3: Only the gays know.
- 40:10Speaker 4: Okay.
- 40:11Speaker 2: I'm not gay.
- 40:15Speaker 5: Okay.
- 40:15Speaker 3: Got it. I learned a new word today.
- 40:18Speaker 4: So do you feel like.
- 40:20Speaker 2: So I just actually was cast to do a reality
- 40:22Speaker 2: show here in Charlotte called Drama Queens.
- 40:24Speaker 3: Okay.
- 40:25Speaker 2: And we're filming right now. We're still filming. And sometimes
- 40:30Speaker 2: I feel like production is messy. Oh. Do you feel like...
- 40:34Speaker 2: And I was not prepared for that. So... I had
- 40:37Speaker 2: to learn like, uh-huh. Y'all dragging the bones. Y'all the
- 40:41Speaker 2: one dragging the bones.
- 40:42Speaker 1: Yeah, they are.
- 40:43Speaker 2: So was that your experience? Like, did it cause friction
- 40:46Speaker 2: for you as a cast member because of the bones
- 40:48Speaker 2: that were being dragged by production?
- 40:49Speaker 5: Not for me because nobody is going to make me
- 40:52Speaker 5: or intimidate me or push me to do something that
- 40:55Speaker 5: I don't want to do.
- 40:57Speaker 3: Am I fully aware of it?
- 40:58Speaker 1: Yes.
- 40:58Speaker 3: And will I feed into it when I want to? Yes.
- 41:00Speaker 2: Yes.
- 41:01Speaker 3: But in general, that is their role. I mean, what'd
- 41:04Speaker 3: you say the name? It's drama.
- 41:07Speaker 5: Reality TV and drama, they want to see friction. And
- 41:11Speaker 5: they're going to pull it out anyway. It could be true.
- 41:13Speaker 5: It could not be true. But they want to see
- 41:15Speaker 5: some friction. Now, do they necessarily want to see you fight? No,
- 41:19Speaker 5: probably not. But they want to see friction. And they
- 41:22Speaker 5: keep the drinks flowing. Drinks are flowing.
- 41:25Speaker 3: So spirits on the set.
- 41:27Speaker 1: Yes.
- 41:27Speaker 3: Yes.
- 41:28Speaker 1: Absolutely.
- 41:28Speaker 3: Absolutely.
- 41:30Speaker 2: Do you ever feel like there were parts of your
- 41:32Speaker 2: personality that was highlighted that maybe you didn't want or
- 41:35Speaker 2: were there parts that you might have wanted that was not?
- 41:40Speaker 3: That's a good question.
- 41:41Speaker 5: And I think in general, I was pretty happy with
- 41:45Speaker 5: how I was portrayed or what I shared and what
- 41:47Speaker 5: I showed.
- 41:48Speaker 3: It was very authentic. It was it was me.
- 41:52Speaker 5: And no, I think I was able to share with
- 41:57Speaker 5: with people what I wanted to share.
- 41:58Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 42:00Speaker 5: In general, I was happy with it.
- 42:01Speaker 2: See, I'm nervous because, you know, obviously the show that
- 42:04Speaker 2: I'm filming now isn't out yet. And I'm just scared
- 42:08Speaker 2: about how, like, because I feel like they can, They
- 42:11Speaker 2: posted some clips. Oh, yeah. And I said, I don't
- 42:14Speaker 2: give a fuck. The camera was not even supposed to
- 42:17Speaker 2: be rolling when I said that.
- 42:20Speaker 3: If the mic is hot, it's hot. You have no control.
- 42:22Speaker 4: That's what I'm learning.
- 42:23Speaker 2: That's what I'm learning. The mic is on.
- 42:25Speaker 3: You had a mean face while you said it?
- 42:27Speaker 5: I was like, I don't give a fuck.
- 42:30Speaker 2: And it was in the clip, and I was like,
- 42:32Speaker 2: I was horrified. Even though I will say that on here, obviously.
- 42:36Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 42:38Speaker 2: The context, there was no context with it, right? So
- 42:42Speaker 2: what I was saying is, you know, like how sometimes
- 42:44Speaker 2: production will have you talking about things that you don't
- 42:48Speaker 2: really give a fuck about. Yeah. And that's what I
- 42:50Speaker 2: was saying to her. Like, I don't give, like, I'm
- 42:53Speaker 2: about to talk to you about something that I really
- 42:55Speaker 2: don't give a fuck about. Yeah.
- 42:56Speaker 4: You know, and then all they.
- 42:58Speaker 3: Have is, I don't give a fuck.
- 42:59Speaker 2: And it just was like, I'm scared about how I
- 43:03Speaker 2: may be presented on the show.
- 43:05Speaker 3: You should be. Because editing is something serious. Yes, it is.
- 43:09Speaker 5: If they can edit in a way that makes it
- 43:11Speaker 5: look like you said something, even though you may have
- 43:13Speaker 5: said it, but not related to what they're saying it's
- 43:16Speaker 5: related to. And they have what they call carte blanche.
- 43:20Speaker 5: They can edit it the way they want. Like, especially
- 43:22Speaker 5: with new series, you have no control with how they
- 43:26Speaker 5: edit it.
- 43:27Speaker 3: Period.
- 43:27Speaker 1: Right.
- 43:28Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 43:28Speaker 2: So that means like, do you try to stay on
- 43:30Speaker 2: production's good side so you, they are happy to present
- 43:33Speaker 2: a good front of you?
- 43:35Speaker 3: No, they don't care. They don't care if your friends
- 43:37Speaker 3: are not. That's what you be doing?
- 43:42Speaker 2: They ain't going to do that.
- 43:44Speaker 3: No, because you're not paying them. You're not paying them.
- 43:47Speaker 3: You're there as a drama.
- 43:49Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 43:50Speaker 5: They need, they're going to do what they feel is
- 43:51Speaker 5: best to you.
- 43:53Speaker 3: Market the show.
- 43:54Speaker 2: That's it. So don't try to fake friendship.
- 43:57Speaker 3: No. If you want to stay on the show, you
- 43:58Speaker 3: got to be the drummer. But I'm not, though.
- 44:01Speaker 2: I think, you know, I'm more funny. Like, I'll come
- 44:04Speaker 2: in with the one-liners real quick and say some funny shit.
- 44:06Speaker 3: So you're quick. I'm not that quick.
- 44:08Speaker 2: That's me.
- 44:08Speaker 4: I'm not trying to argue with bitches.
- 44:10Speaker 3: Because I'm going to knock all this shit over. Okay.
- 44:13Speaker 5: You're going to take it serious.
- 44:15Speaker 3: Yeah. Like, I can't play around like that. Okay.
- 44:18Speaker 2: And I'm just laughing and joking. But I don't have
- 44:20Speaker 2: no drama. Like, I'm single.
- 44:21Speaker 4: I don't have kids.
- 44:22Speaker 3: But they create the drama, right? So now you got
- 44:24Speaker 3: beef with somebody you didn't even create that drama with. Exactly.
- 44:26Speaker 3: That you didn't even know you had.
- 44:27Speaker 2: Well, right now, I don't know that. Maybe at the reunion,
- 44:30Speaker 2: I'll see that somebody might have been saying some shit
- 44:32Speaker 2: that I didn't know.
- 44:33Speaker 3: Right.
- 44:34Speaker 2: But right now... You were knocked off over?
- 44:36Speaker 4: No, I'm over 40 years old.
- 44:37Speaker 3: You're not knocking nothing over. You're going to smile. You
- 44:42Speaker 3: might fall.
- 44:42Speaker 2: I just got my foot back.
- 44:45Speaker 3: You know she had a leg incident. She had God
- 44:48Speaker 3: knocking over it.
- 44:51Speaker 2: I'm not doing that.
- 44:52Speaker 1: I fell at the port-a-potty at a wedding the other
- 44:54Speaker 1: day and my whole body was hurting the next day.
- 44:58Speaker 3: We're too old to be.
- 44:59Speaker 2: That's why when I agreed to do the show, I
- 45:01Speaker 2: was like, is this one of them fighting shows for
- 45:03Speaker 2: Zeus Network? Because That's not my ministry. So that brings
- 45:09Speaker 2: me to the ministry.
- 45:11Speaker 3: Aesthetic. Fighting bitches.
- 45:15Speaker 2: The show didn't have a lot of seasons in comparison to...
- 45:19Speaker 2: the other shows similar selling, what was their selling? Sunset. Sunset.
- 45:24Speaker 2: And do you feel like that is associated with the
- 45:26Speaker 2: cast being all black? Because I had concerns with that.
- 45:28Speaker 4: Like, why is it this?
- 45:30Speaker 2: Because the show was this, it was good. Yeah.
- 45:32Speaker 4: And we were watching.
- 45:33Speaker 3: We enjoyed it. It was number one for like several weeks.
- 45:37Speaker 2: So what happened?
- 45:39Speaker 3: I don't really know.
- 45:39Speaker 5: What we were told was the numbers weren't where they
- 45:44Speaker 5: needed to be. And it was very difficult to find like,
- 45:47Speaker 5: so like, Think about it. In selling Sunset, they have
- 45:50Speaker 5: homes that are very luxurious, beautiful. The price point is
- 45:56Speaker 5: at a level where you're typically not going to have
- 45:58Speaker 5: that in Tampa. They're so far and few between. So
- 46:02Speaker 5: the markets are different. And I think they had a
- 46:05Speaker 5: concept of more luxury.
- 46:08Speaker 3: And it's just not.
- 46:09Speaker 5: Maybe now it's changed a little bit.
- 46:12Speaker 3: I really don't. I think because of us.
- 46:15Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 46:15Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 46:16Speaker 5: It was more so because of us. But I think
- 46:19Speaker 5: it's a combination. They said it was difficult to work
- 46:21Speaker 5: with some. When you're filming, you have to work with restaurants.
- 46:25Speaker 5: You have to work with locations. You have to secure things.
- 46:28Speaker 5: You can't film everything in one spot.
- 46:30Speaker 3: Right.
- 46:31Speaker 5: And so I think that was a little bit of
- 46:32Speaker 5: a challenge for them. And on top of the real estate,
- 46:36Speaker 5: I don't really know if it had to do with.
- 46:39Speaker 5: Us being black, I don't think so. But it could
- 46:44Speaker 5: have been a little bit. I mean, everything goes through
- 46:47Speaker 5: your head, right? When they say you're not getting a
- 46:49Speaker 5: season two. So yes, did we talk about it? Did
- 46:51Speaker 5: we think that could have been a reason? Of course, but-
- 46:54Speaker 5: I was disappointed.
- 46:55Speaker 3: I don't know. Yeah. A lot of people were. We were. Yeah.
- 46:58Speaker 2: I wanted to see more of that. So I just like,
- 47:01Speaker 2: why they do the black women like that? Y'all were
- 47:03Speaker 2: just as entertaining as any other season, if not more,
- 47:06Speaker 2: for me.
- 47:07Speaker 3: Were you a fan favorite? Or like, who was the
- 47:09Speaker 3: fan favorite from Tampa? Selling Tampa?
- 47:11Speaker 5: I think really, honestly, I think all of us, but
- 47:15Speaker 5: maybe more so Sherelle at the time.
- 47:17Speaker 3: Because she was dating Chad.
- 47:20Speaker 5: So maybe her, but I think we all had different
- 47:24Speaker 5: fans yeah and and for different reasons we all had
- 47:27Speaker 5: different personalities right we.
- 47:29Speaker 3: So we have a little mean girl yeah.
- 47:32Speaker 2: But I don't know if that's just like I said
- 47:33Speaker 2: production can portray you in a way how they want
- 47:36Speaker 2: yeah so it gave mean girl a little bit to
- 47:39Speaker 2: me next question so can a friendship survive when everybody
- 47:48Speaker 2: like because I mean with the show you want to
- 47:50Speaker 2: be interesting. You want to have things to say that
- 47:53Speaker 2: people align with and that they want you to come
- 47:55Speaker 2: back for season two. Do you feel like a friendship
- 47:57Speaker 2: can survive when everybody's trying to be interesting?
- 48:01Speaker 3: Yeah, I do.
- 48:02Speaker 5: I think if you have the mutual respect and you
- 48:05Speaker 5: have a mutual understanding of what the priority is and
- 48:10Speaker 5: where we're trying to be, absolutely. I think it could
- 48:12Speaker 5: sustain and And relationships, I think, can still be fine.
- 48:16Speaker 5: It's all about the person. And so I don't blame
- 48:20Speaker 5: anything on like TV or social media.
- 48:23Speaker 3: I think that's a cop out. Yeah. I think you
- 48:25Speaker 3: as a person should be able to control you. Yeah.
- 48:27Speaker 4: And that's what I think.
- 48:29Speaker 1: So when the things happened, did you feel like compelled
- 48:31Speaker 1: to overly explain anything on social media that happened on
- 48:35Speaker 1: the show?
- 48:36Speaker 4: No, I don't care.
- 48:37Speaker 3: Than any of the classmates.
- 48:38Speaker 1: Like, you know, like sometimes court of public opinion be
- 48:41Speaker 1: killing people.
- 48:42Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 48:42Speaker 5: So I will tell you when we before the show
- 48:45Speaker 5: first came out, like none of us had experience.
- 48:48Speaker 3: With TV and with people.
- 48:50Speaker 5: You know, knowing us with us not really knowing them.
- 48:54Speaker 5: They told us do not comment on the comments. Don't
- 48:58Speaker 5: look at the comments because everyone's going to have an opinion.
- 49:00Speaker 3: Some may be good, bad.
- 49:01Speaker 5: Or indifferent, whatever it is. You know what you represent
- 49:05Speaker 5: and what who you are. So I never really paid
- 49:08Speaker 5: attention to the comments. Do I see them?
- 49:10Speaker 3: Yeah, but.
- 49:11Speaker 2: And you ignored it?
- 49:12Speaker 3: Oh, yeah. Oh, I'm good at ignoring.
- 49:14Speaker 2: I'm so bad at that. Like, that's something that I
- 49:15Speaker 2: got to learn because, baby, if I got some free time.
- 49:19Speaker 3: Don't do it, man. Listen, I will... I think that comes.
- 49:21Speaker 1: I feel like it just comes from just knowing yourself.
- 49:25Speaker 1: And then the people who really know and love you,
- 49:26Speaker 1: fuck what you like. Fuck them people who don't really
- 49:29Speaker 1: know you.
- 49:29Speaker 3: But sometimes you want to be petty. You can call
- 49:31Speaker 3: me back. Sometimes you want to be petty.
- 49:33Speaker 5: But sometimes some people take it to heart.
- 49:36Speaker 3: Yeah. You had time that day.
- 49:39Speaker 2: Yeah, I had time that day. And now let me
- 49:41Speaker 2: go look at your page and see what you got
- 49:42Speaker 2: going on since you know so fucking much. And that's
- 49:45Speaker 2: the energy.
- 49:45Speaker 4: But.
- 49:47Speaker 3: Cash Doll did that shit recently. It was.
- 49:50Speaker 1: a guy, you know, one of the ones who be
- 49:52Speaker 1: having the wigs and beards. And she did her little
- 49:55Speaker 1: clap back, but she had her like the beard emoji.
- 49:58Speaker 3: Clapping back at her.
- 50:00Speaker 2: Yeah. Because she had time that day. And you never,
- 50:06Speaker 2: like you never responded to no one.
- 50:07Speaker 5: No, I'm not going to say that.
- 50:10Speaker 3: I'm not going to say that.
- 50:12Speaker 5: But not very often. I probably could count on one hand.
- 50:15Speaker 5: Maybe I said something, but not really that slick.
- 50:17Speaker 3: Maybe just responded. I don't, Yeah, I don't really get
- 50:21Speaker 3: into comments.
- 50:22Speaker 5: When I post on my page to this day, I
- 50:25Speaker 5: very rarely even like say thank you or heart it.
- 50:27Speaker 5: I just post and I move about my business. I
- 50:29Speaker 5: don't really comment. Even if it's a beautiful, you know,
- 50:32Speaker 5: nice comment, I really just don't do it.
- 50:34Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 50:35Speaker 2: You just avoid it.
- 50:36Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 50:37Speaker 2: Listen, I want to grow up like you one day.
- 50:39Speaker 3: Are you friends with anybody like from the cast now?
- 50:42Speaker 3: Do you guys keep in contact? No.
- 50:45Speaker 2: No. And see, that's why I say I feel like
- 50:50Speaker 2: it's hard. You might have been able to maintain.
- 50:52Speaker 3: These are co-workers, that's it.
- 50:53Speaker 2: They were.
- 50:54Speaker 5: Yeah, they were. Yeah, we just strictly real estate at
- 50:58Speaker 5: the time. But everyone kind of left Allure. I don't
- 51:02Speaker 5: think anyone is there. Maybe like one person. Everyone like
- 51:06Speaker 5: went to other brokerages.
- 51:07Speaker 2: Okay. Which would suggest something else.
- 51:10Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 51:10Speaker 2: That they all work.
- 51:11Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 51:12Speaker 2: Okay.
- 51:12Speaker 4: And nobody there no more.
- 51:15Speaker 3: That's okay. Y'all need to watch it.
- 51:16Speaker 5: I'm not getting paid from it.
- 51:19Speaker 2: Period.
- 51:20Speaker 3: No streams.
- 51:20Speaker 2: Yeah. All right.
- 51:24Speaker 4: So what does reality.
- 51:25Speaker 2: TV give you and what does it take from you?
- 51:30Speaker 5: It, it, What did it do or what could it?
- 51:32Speaker 5: So those are different questions, right? So for some.
- 51:35Speaker 3: People, it can give you more business.
- 51:39Speaker 2: What did it do for you specifically?
- 51:41Speaker 3: Nothing.
- 51:43Speaker 2: Nothing?
- 51:43Speaker 4: Absolutely nothing?
- 51:44Speaker 3: Not even a check? No, we got paid. No, we
- 51:47Speaker 3: got paid.
- 51:47Speaker 5: So that's valid.
- 51:48Speaker 3: We did get money. We got paid. Was it a
- 51:51Speaker 3: lot of money? No.
- 51:53Speaker 5: And a lot of times in your first season of anything,
- 51:56Speaker 5: you don't have really much very... You don't have very
- 51:59Speaker 5: much negotiation power. You can't... You're not getting paid a lot.
- 52:03Speaker 5: You're not getting paid a lot. In fact, we didn't even...
- 52:06Speaker 5: The only time we had our hair and makeup covered
- 52:10Speaker 5: is during confessionals.
- 52:11Speaker 3: Like, we had to.
- 52:12Speaker 5: Pay for our clothing, pay for our hair and makeup
- 52:15Speaker 5: other than during the confessionals. So think about, yeah, you're
- 52:18Speaker 5: making money, but you're also putting money out. And you're
- 52:21Speaker 5: taking away from the actual business because you have to
- 52:24Speaker 5: be on their schedule.
- 52:26Speaker 1: So.
- 52:27Speaker 5: I may be filming, so I can't be out here
- 52:28Speaker 5: doing real estate. So there's a little bit of a trade-off.
- 52:33Speaker 5: But do I think it gave me more opportunities to
- 52:37Speaker 5: do things I might not have otherwise done?
- 52:39Speaker 3: Absolutely. Do I think it resulted in more business? No,
- 52:43Speaker 3: I don't.
- 52:45Speaker 5: And I also think it made you more open and
- 52:48Speaker 5: susceptible to people to judge you and to think that
- 52:51Speaker 5: they know you and they really don't because they see
- 52:54Speaker 5: a few minutes of your life on TV. But overall,
- 52:58Speaker 5: am I happy?
- 52:58Speaker 3: I did it. Absolutely.
- 52:59Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 53:00Speaker 5: So I think it was a good experience.
- 53:02Speaker 2: Do you feel like people took you less serious as
- 53:04Speaker 2: an industry professional for being on a reality show with
- 53:07Speaker 2: real estate?
- 53:09Speaker 5: I've been told that no. Again, I was truly me.
- 53:13Speaker 5: I don't think I'm I'm more in general a professional person. Now,
- 53:18Speaker 5: being on a show with people that aren't acting professional
- 53:21Speaker 5: can still affect you. It's almost like birds of a
- 53:24Speaker 5: feather flock together. Right. That sort of concept. But in general, no,
- 53:28Speaker 5: I don't think it was negative. Do I think maybe
- 53:31Speaker 5: some people shy away from people who have been on
- 53:34Speaker 5: TV because they don't know? you know, maybe they don't
- 53:37Speaker 5: trust you or they feel like you're going to do
- 53:39Speaker 5: something just because you want people to, you want more attention,
- 53:42Speaker 5: then I think it makes a little, some people more
- 53:44Speaker 5: hesitant to trust you or to want to do business
- 53:47Speaker 5: with you.
- 53:48Speaker 3: But in general, I think it was fine. Would you
- 53:50Speaker 3: do some more reality TV? No, I don't know. It's
- 53:53Speaker 3: not really my thing. And no, I don't.
- 53:56Speaker 5: No, I actually was approached to do a dating show
- 54:00Speaker 5: that was on another network.
- 54:02Speaker 3: Pop the Balloon? No, no, no. It was before Pop
- 54:06Speaker 3: the Balloon. Oh, okay.
- 54:06Speaker 5: But I couldn't do it because even though we weren't
- 54:09Speaker 5: filming the show, when you signed, I was under a contract.
- 54:14Speaker 5: So I couldn't do a dating show because they had
- 54:17Speaker 5: a dating show.
- 54:19Speaker 3: So, yeah.
- 54:19Speaker 2: Oh, wow. So I didn't know it would be like
- 54:21Speaker 2: that because they have a dating show on their network. Correct.
- 54:24Speaker 2: You can't do a dating show for another network, even
- 54:26Speaker 2: though the show you're on is not.
- 54:28Speaker 3: How long was it? Known for a couple of years. Wow.
- 54:32Speaker 5: Like it started when we first signed the deal and
- 54:34Speaker 5: maybe it went on. They had first asked me to
- 54:37Speaker 5: be on that dating show, maybe, maybe about a year,
- 54:40Speaker 5: maybe six months after the show came out, but I
- 54:43Speaker 5: was still under. And they were going to be filming
- 54:45Speaker 5: it like soon. So it's not like I could say,
- 54:48Speaker 5: wait till I get out of my agreement.
- 54:52Speaker 1: I would think that NeNe Leakes would have done another,
- 54:54Speaker 1: like she's so entertaining, right? Like maybe she's under some
- 54:57Speaker 1: shit that's like lifelong damn near.
- 54:59Speaker 2: She didn't go to another network. She probably had some
- 55:02Speaker 2: type of something.
- 55:03Speaker 3: NeNe's getting paid. She's not about to jeopardize. She's not
- 55:06Speaker 3: going to jeopardize. A judge and stuff like that. But again,
- 55:10Speaker 3: After you have so many episodes and you are a
- 55:13Speaker 3: personality that brings in ratings and money, you have more
- 55:17Speaker 3: negotiation power. So maybe she's.
- 55:19Speaker 5: Like, hey, if you don't let me do this season
- 55:21Speaker 5: and do this, then I'm not doing this. Like there's
- 55:24Speaker 5: there's different things that can happen.
- 55:26Speaker 2: Did you ever see anything like in a reunion episode? Like,
- 55:29Speaker 2: I can't believe that bitch said that shit about me
- 55:31Speaker 2: and her confessional.
- 55:33Speaker 5: So we didn't have any reunion shows. We didn't do
- 55:35Speaker 5: any reunion, but we did have confessionals.
- 55:39Speaker 2: And did you see someone say something?
- 55:41Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 55:42Speaker 2: I was like, where'd that come from? Right.
- 55:44Speaker 3: I didn't know that way.
- 55:45Speaker 2: And like, you could have said that to me.
- 55:47Speaker 5: Well, I think they were boosted to say some things,
- 55:50Speaker 5: you know, you, yeah. Yeah, I was a little shocked
- 55:53Speaker 5: at some. So what happened before the show came out,
- 55:55Speaker 5: we all flew out to L.A. together to watch the
- 55:59Speaker 5: series together.
- 56:00Speaker 2: The entire series.
- 56:00Speaker 5: The entire series together. The production company covered that. We
- 56:04Speaker 5: were all we had a movie theater to ourselves. And
- 56:06Speaker 5: so we were able to see it before it came out.
- 56:09Speaker 5: And so, yeah, some of the things are mine.
- 56:11Speaker 2: So y'all walk down the theater like, bitch, y'all slacking.
- 56:14Speaker 3: Yeah. Like, don't smile at me. Girl, just for TV. Yeah.
- 56:20Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 56:21Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 56:21Speaker 2: Yeah. No, this is not just for TV. That's how
- 56:26Speaker 2: you really feel.
- 56:27Speaker 1: So what are some things you want, like, people to
- 56:29Speaker 1: know about you outside of television?
- 56:32Speaker 5: I want people to know that I, okay, number one,
- 56:34Speaker 5: I really do do real estate. I'm licensed in Florida
- 56:39Speaker 5: and in North Carolina.
- 56:41Speaker 3: And I.
- 56:43Speaker 5: Enjoy, I really do love real estate. It's something that
- 56:47Speaker 5: has always been near and dear to my heart. So
- 56:49Speaker 5: that's something that I love. I also am a part
- 56:52Speaker 5: owner of a wine and champagne bar in Fayetteville, North
- 56:54Speaker 5: Carolina called The Sip Room.
- 56:56Speaker 3: And we opened that. Okay.
- 56:58Speaker 5: So when I, The little money that I did get,
- 57:01Speaker 5: I was like, what can I do other than just
- 57:04Speaker 5: go spend it on clothes or shoes or a car
- 57:06Speaker 5: or something? So I invested, my business partner and I,
- 57:11Speaker 5: we did a wine and champagne bar in Fayetteville, North Carolina.
- 57:15Speaker 5: We've been open almost four years now. Yeah, she does
- 57:18Speaker 5: a great job. She runs everything. Yes, she's in Fayetteville.
- 57:22Speaker 5: So if you're in Fayetteville or know anyone, go to
- 57:24Speaker 5: the Sip Room. And then I also am doing a
- 57:29Speaker 5: business venture with my other business partner. She does it
- 57:32Speaker 5: in Fayetteville. It's called Pilates and Pretty Vibes. So I've
- 57:35Speaker 5: always been a workout person. Like I've always cared about
- 57:40Speaker 5: fitness and staying active. I ran track all through high school.
- 57:43Speaker 5: I got a track scholarship.
- 57:44Speaker 4: But.
- 57:46Speaker 5: It's called Pilates and Pretty Vibes Charlotte. And so we
- 57:50Speaker 5: are really making, I think, a good impact. I had
- 57:52Speaker 5: a class today.
- 57:52Speaker 3: Yeah, you said that.
- 57:54Speaker 2: We had to push, you know, time because you had
- 57:56Speaker 2: a class.
- 57:57Speaker 3: So I'm really excited about that. I want to come
- 57:59Speaker 3: try it.
- 57:59Speaker 2: Yes, I want you to. I've only gone to one
- 58:01Speaker 2: Pilates class and I about fucking died.
- 58:03Speaker 3: And it's mat Pilates, not reformer.
- 58:05Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah. I don't know. Yeah, that's what I did.
- 58:07Speaker 2: The mat Pilates.
- 58:08Speaker 3: That shit is way harder than the reformer. You got
- 58:10Speaker 3: to use your own body weight. Yeah. Yeah, they're both challenging.
- 58:13Speaker 2: Yeah, so I want to try again. I don't want
- 58:16Speaker 2: to be in the front. They had me up in
- 58:17Speaker 2: the front of the class. Don't fucking do that to me.
- 58:20Speaker 3: Wait, did you go to the front?
- 58:21Speaker 2: So what happened was, I did.
- 58:25Speaker 4: But here's the thing.
- 58:26Speaker 2: I was in another class before that and the instructor
- 58:29Speaker 2: was like, stay for the next class. You'll love it.
- 58:32Speaker 2: And I was already in the front and that was
- 58:33Speaker 2: like hit and I.
- 58:34Speaker 4: Can lift the weight.
- 58:35Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 58:36Speaker 2: But when we got to that Pilates bitch, I almost
- 58:38Speaker 2: threw up.
- 58:39Speaker 3: It's serious. It's different, man.
- 58:41Speaker 2: Yeah, it's different, but I do want to try it.
- 58:42Speaker 3: Yes. You're going to come.
- 58:44Speaker 2: Yes, I'm coming. Tell me when the next event or
- 58:46Speaker 2: class is.
- 58:46Speaker 3: There's several of them. So I'm going to send it
- 58:48Speaker 3: to you.
- 58:48Speaker 4: Yes, please.
- 58:49Speaker 5: So those are kind of things I'm working on and just.
- 58:52Speaker 5: Really doing some recruitment to the brokerage that I'm with.
- 58:56Speaker 5: I'm really passionate about people in real estate going to
- 59:00Speaker 5: the right brokerage that fit their business model and what's
- 59:04Speaker 5: going to work for them. So those are some of
- 59:06Speaker 5: the things that I'm doing.
- 59:08Speaker 3: Are you a broker? I am not a broker.
- 59:10Speaker 2: No.
- 59:12Speaker 5: I'm a provisional broker in North Carolina, but in Florida,
- 59:16Speaker 5: I'm a sales, I'm just a realtor. I can't open
- 59:19Speaker 5: my own brokerage in Florida.
- 59:21Speaker 3: Right. Yeah.
- 59:23Speaker 4: Are you dating here?
- 59:23Speaker 3: No. Let's get into it. I don't want to. OK,
- 59:31Speaker 3: so dating. Number one, I am a relationship person. I
- 59:34Speaker 3: was married. I enjoy being in a relationship and I
- 59:38Speaker 3: want to get married again.
- 59:40Speaker 4: But I'm dating.
- 59:41Speaker 3: Yeah. So to answer your question, I am.
- 59:43Speaker 2: So you're not taking.
- 59:46Speaker 3: Oh, that's a loaded question. Uh, I'm not like Capricorn.
- 59:52Speaker 2: No, like guys go watch the show and they go
- 59:55Speaker 2: and see you and they might be like ready to
- 59:57Speaker 2: slide in the DMs. But if you're taken, we're not
- 59:59Speaker 2: going to see them.
- 1:00:00Speaker 5: I'm not taking, I thought I was taken, but like
- 1:00:02Speaker 5: recently I don't feel like I am.
- 1:00:04Speaker 1: Period so fly guys we must get the dumb bitch
- 1:00:07Speaker 1: story shot.
- 1:00:08Speaker 2: Oh no we don't oh we haven't been doing we
- 1:00:09Speaker 2: didn't do one with taylor but we're gonna do one
- 1:00:11Speaker 2: with you what is that so we have a segment
- 1:00:13Speaker 2: and real quick a segment of our show is called
- 1:00:16Speaker 2: dumb bitch story okay and it's where you share a
- 1:00:18Speaker 2: time where you got played by the opposite sex because
- 1:00:21Speaker 2: we've all been there and we just want to be
- 1:00:22Speaker 2: relatable with our audience oh that's.
- 1:00:24Speaker 3: A good one i'm gonna think about that.
- 1:00:27Speaker 5: Like play like Like they played in my face or
- 1:00:31Speaker 5: I found out they played like it wasn't directly in
- 1:00:33Speaker 5: my face.
- 1:00:34Speaker 3: Either way.
- 1:00:35Speaker 4: Either way.
- 1:00:35Speaker 1: And really the dumb bitch part comes in when you
- 1:00:37Speaker 1: continue to fuck with them.
- 1:00:39Speaker 3: Ooh, I don't do that. I don't do that.
- 1:00:41Speaker 4: She a Capricorn.
- 1:00:42Speaker 3: I don't do that. Remember I told you the cold part.
- 1:00:44Speaker 3: She probably got Virgo in her eye placement somewhere. Virgo's
- 1:00:47Speaker 3: gonna never get played, Jess.
- 1:00:48Speaker 1: You look like Virgo a little bit, too.
- 1:00:53Speaker 3: What is the cutoff? I don't know.
- 1:00:54Speaker 5: Okay, no, like the dates.
- 1:00:57Speaker 2: I thought Virgo was like September.
- 1:01:00Speaker 5: We run a strict program. But I run a strict program. Like,
- 1:01:04Speaker 5: you're not about to play with me. Because I have two,
- 1:01:06Speaker 5: I don't have the time and there's too many other options.
- 1:01:09Speaker 1: Right.
- 1:01:10Speaker 3: Like I'm not, I'm not doing that.
- 1:01:17Speaker 2: No, I done definitely like circled back. When somebody like,
- 1:01:21Speaker 2: I'm over it now. Have you ever been like, you've
- 1:01:23Speaker 2: never been like that? Like some shit was kind of
- 1:01:26Speaker 2: bad and then you were mad as hell and then
- 1:01:28Speaker 2: you got over it and then went back a little bit.
- 1:01:32Speaker 5: I mean, only if I was mad, but something petty.
- 1:01:35Speaker 5: Like it was something for real, no. But if it
- 1:01:36Speaker 5: was something petty, I'm like, oh, I was just being extra.
- 1:01:39Speaker 3: Maybe.
- 1:01:40Speaker 2: Share your story, girl.
- 1:01:41Speaker 3: We waiting. Okay.
- 1:01:45Speaker 5: Look, I was, no, I don't have that. The, the
- 1:01:47Speaker 5: dumb bitch one, but is that what it's called?
- 1:01:49Speaker 2: Okay. Okay.
- 1:01:50Speaker 3: I don't have that one. You ain't never been a
- 1:01:51Speaker 3: dumb bitch.
- 1:01:52Speaker 2: Never in life. Never. We've all been a dumb bitch.
- 1:01:56Speaker 2: I ended it.
- 1:01:58Speaker 3: I ended it. I ended it just because. So he
- 1:02:00Speaker 3: a dumb bitch. Got it. Yeah. He got it. Yeah.
- 1:02:03Speaker 3: We're friends.
- 1:02:03Speaker 5: I mean, I say that because we're cool. I still, yeah.
- 1:02:06Speaker 5: He's a great person in general. Just didn't work out.
- 1:02:09Speaker 2: I think we need to change the name of a
- 1:02:11Speaker 2: segment because people hear dumb bitch and be like, I
- 1:02:13Speaker 2: ain't never been a dumb bitch. But it's not about
- 1:02:16Speaker 2: like really stupid. It's just like about loving somebody or
- 1:02:19Speaker 2: caring for someone. And then, you know, you get a
- 1:02:22Speaker 2: little egg on your face, you know, because.
- 1:02:24Speaker 5: Well, then that's probably in every relationship I've been in
- 1:02:27Speaker 5: or I would still be with a person. But I
- 1:02:30Speaker 5: think sometimes personalities, you just you once you get to
- 1:02:33Speaker 5: know someone, you just figure out it's not a good fit.
- 1:02:35Speaker 5: You get to know them a little bit better and
- 1:02:37Speaker 5: they get to know you and whatever reason just didn't
- 1:02:39Speaker 5: work out. But once I have seen something that I
- 1:02:42Speaker 5: know that is not going to work.
- 1:02:44Speaker 3: For me, I'm gone. Like there's no.
- 1:02:47Speaker 2: Give us an example.
- 1:02:47Speaker 5: There's no working it out.
- 1:02:49Speaker 3: Like there's no. You ain't got no story for us.
- 1:02:53Speaker 4: Give me a story, girl.
- 1:02:54Speaker 3: I'm not really good at stories. High school. Oh, I
- 1:02:58Speaker 3: was a dummy in high school.
- 1:03:00Speaker 2: Everybody. I was a dummy.
- 1:03:01Speaker 3: My son's father.
- 1:03:02Speaker 5: So I started dating my son's father when I was like,
- 1:03:07Speaker 5: 13 or 14, I was young.
- 1:03:09Speaker 3: He lived across the street from me. Oh, I was dumb.
- 1:03:12Speaker 5: The only fights I've gotten in in my life was
- 1:03:14Speaker 5: because of him. I've only been in two fights in
- 1:03:18Speaker 5: my whole life and they were both behind him.
- 1:03:22Speaker 3: Absolutely.
- 1:03:23Speaker 1: I told you she looked straight.
- 1:03:30Speaker 3: She tried to sue me. They took me to court.
- 1:03:33Speaker 3: And I was only in high school. I'm like, calm down.
- 1:03:37Speaker 3: One ass whooping up. You're going to get more.
- 1:03:44Speaker 5: But I would say definitely in high school, I knew
- 1:03:47Speaker 5: he was cheating on me.
- 1:03:48Speaker 3: And I still was like, oh, I love him. He's
- 1:03:50Speaker 3: going to be, you know, we're going to be married.
- 1:03:52Speaker 3: He's going to grow out of this. Oh, yeah. I
- 1:03:54Speaker 3: did that for years.
- 1:03:55Speaker 2: And then y'all had a kid together.
- 1:03:56Speaker 3: We had a kid together. But that is your ex-husband? No.
- 1:03:59Speaker 5: That was just my son's father. No, my ex-husband is
- 1:04:04Speaker 5: in Florida.
- 1:04:05Speaker 2: Military?
- 1:04:06Speaker 3: Yeah, ex-military.
- 1:04:07Speaker 2: He retired out of the military.
- 1:04:08Speaker 3: Okay, nice.
- 1:04:08Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah. So I was in an Air Force military relationship.
- 1:04:11Speaker 3: Okay, nice.
- 1:04:14Speaker 2: He deployed half the year, and that was my happiest
- 1:04:17Speaker 2: time of the year. Like, I felt like we stayed
- 1:04:19Speaker 2: together as long as we did because of deployment. And
- 1:04:23Speaker 2: I feel like military families, even though, like, you have
- 1:04:26Speaker 2: this idea of, like, this perfect structure, like, everything is
- 1:04:29Speaker 2: aligned in the military, kind of make sure, like, oh,
- 1:04:31Speaker 2: you have housing, you have this allowance, you have that allowance.
- 1:04:35Speaker 2: It's really not what it seems like. It's hard to
- 1:04:37Speaker 2: stay in a military marriage. It's hard to stay in
- 1:04:40Speaker 2: a military family because, one, they can be taken— and
- 1:04:43Speaker 2: shipped off to Guam real fast. And them motherfuckers be
- 1:04:47Speaker 2: having outside lives.
- 1:04:48Speaker 5: They got a lot of opposite sex friends.
- 1:04:51Speaker 2: And like when they deploy, It's like they're not even married,
- 1:04:55Speaker 2: they ain't in a relationship no more. They in their
- 1:04:58Speaker 2: own thing. So that happens a lot. Got a whole
- 1:05:01Speaker 2: deployment wife.
- 1:05:02Speaker 3: Yeah. That's true.
- 1:05:03Speaker 1: Y'all intentionally getting deployed together so y'all can be together.
- 1:05:07Speaker 3: Right.
- 1:05:08Speaker 2: And when them motherfuckers go to Osan and Kusan, I
- 1:05:11Speaker 2: see y'all. I know what y'all be doing out there.
- 1:05:14Speaker 2: What is that? Korea?
- 1:05:18Speaker 3: Yeah, Korea.
- 1:05:19Speaker 2: When they go to Korea for a year, because they
- 1:05:21Speaker 2: can't take their family with them to Korea.
- 1:05:23Speaker 3: There's a lot of boy girls out there.
- 1:05:25Speaker 5: Don't they call them like lady boys?
- 1:05:28Speaker 3: I know that term.
- 1:05:29Speaker 4: The juju girls, the jujus.
- 1:05:31Speaker 3: I didn't know jujus. And passport bros and military bros.
- 1:05:36Speaker 2: Alright, so if you wanted to leave our audience with
- 1:05:40Speaker 2: one thing about Juana, Say it to them for right now. Okay.

- 1:05:52Speaker 5: always contact me. And just in general, I love people.
- 1:05:56Speaker 5: I love supporting women. I'm really a good time, to
- 1:05:59Speaker 5: be honest. I'm super laid back. I just enjoy life.
- 1:06:03Speaker 5: And I just want to do whatever I can while
- 1:06:06Speaker 5: I'm here on this earth. We don't have a long time,
- 1:06:09Speaker 5: in my opinion, on earth. So we should enjoy it
- 1:06:11Speaker 5: and do things that we love, spend time. spend our
- 1:06:14Speaker 5: time with people that we truly care for and value.
- 1:06:17Speaker 3: And, um, that's all.
- 1:06:20Speaker 2: Thank you, girl. I appreciate you for coming.
- 1:06:24Speaker 3: Thank you.
- 1:06:24Speaker 2: Listen, cause I'm going through this reality world. I'm entering it.
- 1:06:28Speaker 3: Call me anytime.
- 1:06:29Speaker 5: It may not be the same, but, There's a lot
- 1:06:33Speaker 5: of similarities.
- 1:06:34Speaker 2: It's black women, so we're going to have some similar.
- 1:06:37Speaker 2: And I hope my experience is that we all get along.
- 1:06:40Speaker 2: But I imagine it's called drama queen.
- 1:06:43Speaker 3: And if you don't, you don't. Yeah. That's okay, too.
- 1:06:46Speaker 5: We're not going to get along. Everyone doesn't click with everyone.
- 1:06:49Speaker 5: It's just how you handle it.
