- 0:24Well, happy national school choice week.
- 0:27That that's yes, we are in the throes right here in the throes of school choice week.
- 0:34And do we actually have a choice?
- 0:36I guess that's the question.
- 0:37And the answer is yes.
- 0:39We have a choice.
- 0:41We we have a choice of which school we want to put our children in without government saying you have a choice without these choice programs.
- 0:52But I understand the draw to the choice programs, excuse me, or the pull or even the necessity.
- 1:00It's that parents are already paying taxes to their local school district.
- 1:08And if they're going to go somewhere else, why shouldn't those tax dollars follow them?
- 1:11I get that.
- 1:12It's it's legitimate.
- 1:14So there are organizations out there attempting to figure this out, attempting to find a way to make school choice uh become an affordability issue.
- 1:28So our friends over at the American Federation for Children have uh released this statement.
- 1:35He sent it to me a couple days ago, but I didn't get to it.
- 1:38Monday morning they sent it.
- 1:41Tommy Schultz is the CEO over there, and he's been on the program before.
- 1:46Uh very good uh conversations with him.
- 1:52And uh I mean, again, I I don't disagree with with the premise or with the concept of school choice.
- 2:03I'm just I'm concerned about how we get there.
- 2:06That's all.
- 2:06It's just a legitimate concern on how we arrive.
- 2:11Uh Tommy Schultz says, as we celebrate National School Choice Week, we embark on what will be a golden age in American education, supercharged by a belief that all families should have access to the educational environment that best meets their needs.
- 2:29And then he goes on to talk about you know the number of states uh, including DC.
- 2:34There's 32 states, including the District of Columbia that have some sort of school choice program, and other states are talking about it.
- 2:43Other programs are forthcoming.
- 2:49And he says we celebrate this week and we continue to do the critical work of delivering school choice to every family in America, which again is laudable.
- 2:58I I applaud the work that he's doing over there and the work of that organization.
- 3:05Um, whatever I can do to help it along, I will, but I want it to be I want it to be done in such a way that tax dollars follow parents without the government intervention.
- 3:22You know, we were in government class this past week.
- 3:28We are reading a book called 1913.
- 3:33And the that book highlights some detrimental things that took place in 1913, and and two of those things were constitutional amendments.
- 3:45The 16th amendment to the constitution initiated uh the federal income tax.
- 3:53It gave the government the authority to tax citizens directly.
- 4:01Now, since that time, you know, the government feels like it's it's their money, that the money belongs to them.
- 4:08Well, it doesn't.
- 4:08The money belongs to the citizens.
- 4:10You you know, before 1913, the Constitution was operating in a way that it was supposed to operate, it had three branches of government, and actually there was a fourth branch of government that we don't talk a lot about, but it was the states.
- 4:29Article 4 talks about the states, and the states were not above the federal government, but they weren't below the federal government either.
- 4:40The states supplied somewhat of a of a check and balance on the federal system.
- 4:48It was designed before the 16th amendment that when the federal government needed money, it went to the states, and it had to ask the states for some money.
- 5:01And then the states could decide if what the federal government wanted to spend their money on was appropriate or not.
- 5:09And and the states then had a financial check, excuse me, upon upon federal power.
- 5:18But then the 16th amendment comes along.
- 5:22And the 16th amendment allows the federal government to bypass the states directly and take money immediately from citizens as that money is made, and it comes out of their checks before the citizens even see it.
- 5:43So it's it is um uh what's the word I'm looking for?
- 5:50Not not surreptitious.
- 5:52I mean, it is kind of secretive.
- 5:55It's underhanded, it's out of sight, out of mind.
- 5:58I guess that's that's a good way to describe it.
- 6:00We don't see it, we just know it comes out, and if we're not paying to our check stuff, all we do is we look at the net.
- 6:08We don't pay attention to the girls, we look at the net.
- 6:10That money goes to the government, and then the government has now this unchecked system where they've got truckloads of money coming into the treasury every single day, every single week, every single month, year upon year upon year, and it's unchecked.
- 6:36What we we trust bureaucrats to to check it.
- 6:41It's the it's the bureaucratic system that got us here, of course, with the help of the abdication of Congress.
- 6:51The senators abdicated.
- 6:53See, and then in conjunction with the 16th amendment, you had the 17th Amendment, which doesn't really directly apply to this conversation, but yet it does because senators gave up their um their position by removing the voice that the states once had in Congress because the state legislators before the 17th amendment voted for the two state senators, and those two state senators were to represent the interest of the states.
- 7:30Well, the 16th and the 17th Amendment come along side by side and remove the authority that the states had on a financial check, and it also took away the voice that the states had in Congress.
- 7:47And so here we are.
- 7:58And they they want that to happen without the government feeling like it's it's the government's money because it's not, it's not Uncle Sam's money, it's your money, it's my money.
- 8:09It's money that we've earned at our jobs, doing whatever it is we do.
- 8:16But the government thinks to the 16th Amendment, weasels their hand in our pockets and pulls out what what percentage they think they deserve.
- 8:27I saw this post the other day by um General Flynn.
- 8:33I wonder if I could uh wonder if I could pull that up real quick.
- 8:39Okay, here it is.
- 8:40So General Flynn looks like he posted this to X a couple days ago, but I saw it on Instagram.
- 8:48He says our federal income tax, uh, our federal income taxes were once used to fix things like roads, bridges, and national defense.
- 8:57And now they are used to pay for the worthless politicians and their pay-to-play schemes that seem more like a patronage system instead of a revenue generating system designed to help those Americans in greatest need.
- 9:12Today that feels like most Americans.
- 9:16Anyway, here's the question.
- 9:19Should we bring the current federal income tax system to an abrupt end?
- 9:25Uh and the comments are um are telling, yes, absolutely.
- 9:34Abolish the IRS and the Federal Reserve, create an actual luxury sales tax system paired with tariffs and stop taxing life essentials like food and property.
- 9:45Uh taxes are funding everyone and everything, but the people that pay them, no more taxes.
- 9:51Yes, sir, absolutely.
- 9:53No American citizen should pay another penny in income tax until all funds are recovered that were stolen.
- 10:00And all those involved in prison.
- 10:02This isn't even a discussion at this point.
- 10:06It would be great if we if we all had a Boston Tea Party.
- 10:11Absolutely, absolutely.
- 10:12Yes, absolutely.
- 10:16Isn't World War I over?
- 10:18Federal income taxes have to stop.
- 10:20Abolish the IRS and the Federal Reserve.
- 10:23Which, by the way, I didn't even mention this.
- 10:25The Federal Reserve was also created in 1913.
- 10:29In 1913, you had this trifecta that took place.
- 10:42And those three things designed in conjunction with each other, all is spearheaded by Senator Aldridge, who was a Republican, by the way, a greedy powerthirsty Republican.
- 10:56So you know, it's not look, I bash the Democrats quite often, and rightly so they deserve it.
- 11:04They're an evil party.
- 11:06Any party that that would support slavery and create the KKK to keep a uh to keep a race of people down, that's an evil party.
- 11:19But the Republicans, and and I should say it this way, many Republicans aren't any better.
- 11:24And Senator Aldridge is among them, spearheading this three-headed monster, this beast from within the 16th, 17th amendments and the Federal Reserve.
- 11:40Um, all three together in conjunction are evil.
- 11:44Uh back to the comments here, because I I enjoy scrolling through the comments.
- 11:49They make me laugh.
- 11:50The American people are being fleeced of their hard-earned money.
- 11:54In turn, public service representatives are making millions.
- 11:58What's the secret?
- 11:59How do you turn 150,000 salary into double-digit millions in a couple of years?
- 12:05IRS agents want to see where your 600 went, but the millions being robbed from we the people, yay, nothing to see here.
- 12:13Um it's true.
- 12:16You know, Nancy Pelosi, I mean, she's just one.
- 12:20And there are, again, there are Republicans on board with this Pelosi train of the apparent insider stock trading.
- 12:30These guys are making millions because they they know what's coming down the pike because of their own legislation.
- 12:38And sometimes that makes me wonder is this led uh legislation being enacted so they can get an early jump on something.
- 12:46And then you've got really this whole comment, I think by by Flynn is spearheaded by what's happening in Minnesota and then what's being uncovered elsewhere.
- 12:55It really began with Doge, and Doge began to find waste in government agencies, and now we're finding it in other places in states that are spearheaded by Democrats.
- 13:12Now, look, I'm sure it's in states that are spearheaded by Republicans because corruption doesn't recognize political party.
- 13:22I mean, again, Madison said if men were angels, uh, you know, but look, the corruption lies in the in the heart of humanity.
- 13:31And without a proper education founded in morality, there is there is very little recourse that we have to combat corruption, especially when our young people are being brought up in it.
- 13:47Yeah, I feel like I'm kind of feeling I'm kind of going all over the map here today.
- 13:53I started out by by celebrating school choice week, and it's taken us to to the 16th and 17th amendments, which need to be abolished because the money belongs to you.
- 14:10It doesn't belong to the federal government.
- 14:12And I think Flynn and his his posing his question here should we abolish the income tax?
- 14:19Should the 16th Amendment be repealed?
- 14:21I think it's time that we begin having that discussion.
- 14:25Should the 16th Amendment be repealed?
- 14:30And then people would um uh have the I I guess I shouldn't say at that point, people would have the ability to, you know, for their tax dollars to follow them.
- 14:46I know here in Michigan, it's property taxes that uh that pay for the local public schools.
- 14:55Well, your property taxes that you pay in your property uh should be allowed to follow you to the school of your choice.
- 15:03Look, if it is truly about education, if if the property taxes are truly in place to educate a populace, then it should be the the parents' choice where that money goes.
- 15:21It should be, you know, even my choice.
- 15:25I I don't have kids that are in school anymore.
- 15:29But should I not get a get a say to where my property taxes go?
- 15:35It's my property.
- 15:37And I understand my property is in a particular school district.
- 15:41I get that, and I understand that particular district wants and needs money to operate, but shouldn't that come from the parents who send their children to the school in that district?
- 16:00And what if I want to support another school?
- 16:03I mean, I run a school, I run a private school.
- 16:07What if I want my property taxes to support Waterbrook?
- 16:12Or maybe some other school.
- 16:15I mean, I would obviously I would choose Waterbrook.
- 16:18I I think these discussions are valid discussions, and I I think the more that we see unfold in Minnesota and in other places, I think that the more these discussions are going to come to light.
- 16:34And you've got people like like General Flynn here.
- 16:38Um, he's got hundreds of comments on this post.
- 16:42Hundreds of of people, and and I'm I'm scrolling through here, and I'm not seeing a single person say, oh no, I like income tax.
- 16:53End it.
- 16:53Arrest every politician for being complicit with the destruction of this country.
- 16:57Okay, stop paying them.
- 17:00Please abolish the IRS correction.
- 17:03Those taxes never went to fund anything other than corrupt political bank accounts.
- 17:08No more taxes.
- 17:10I mean, I I can literally go down the list here.
- 17:18And oh, someone says, why hasn't President Trump put General Flynn somewhere in his administration to help fight this?
- 17:24Yeah, I mean, he was in his first administration.
- 17:27He should probably be somewhere in a second.
- 17:30I want my money back all in caps.
- 17:32Yes, please, I'm tired of working 80 hours a week to survive and having a third of my check going to fraud.
- 17:39And that's what a lot of people are seeing.
- 17:41We're seeing that our tax system is a good portion of it has gone to support fraud.
- 17:49I mean, that's what we're doing.
- 17:51We are supporting not only Somali fraud, but fraud across the board.
- 17:58And again, this is fraud that is uh riddled in both parties.
- 18:04It's not just one party.
- 18:07Well said they've abused their authority and our money in prison, all those who line their own pockets.
- 18:13Uh absolutely enough of this non-nonsense.
- 18:16Yeah, I'm just I'm literally just, yep, stop, make it truly voluntary.
- 18:21Okay.
- 18:22I mean, that's interesting.
- 18:23Make it voluntary.
- 18:26Oh, I love this one here.
- 18:27The federal income tax is an illegal tax that goes to pay the national debt created by the criminal counterfeit money printing bank of the Federal Reserve.
- 18:37Their enforcement branch of government called the IRS needs to be abolished.
- 18:41We need to seize all assets of the Federal Reserve, and they've been acting illegal illegally under our constitution and have stolen the wealth of this nation.
- 18:52The sixth, oh, here it is.
- 18:53This person knows what he's talking about.
- 18:54The 16th Amendment needs to be repealed because it's in violation of the 10th Amendment.
- 18:59The whole system needs needs an overhaul to bring it back into compliance with our constitution and bill of rights.
- 19:06All right.
- 19:06So there's there's some interesting decent good comments here.
- 19:11The bottom line is there's not a single person in these 500 plus comments, at least that I've seen that have said, ah, no, I like the federal government robbing me, absolutely robbing me of my money.
- 19:29Um, okay, so listen up.
- 19:32I brought this up because we're in school choice week.
- 19:36And I I I don't know that I'm 100% behind school choice programs only because I know the government feels like it's their money.
- 19:48And where their money goes, they're going to attempt to impose their influence, impose their will and impose their demand.
- 19:58And I don't want the federal government.
- 20:00Or the state governments for that matter imposing their their will and imposing their demands on the education that my pa that that the families want that attend Waterbrook.
- 20:13They're there because they want a particular education.
- 20:16I mean, it's just like what we talked about in Minnesota.
- 20:19They want apparently those families want their kids to be indoctrinated.
- 20:25And there are representatives that are saying the federal government needs to stop funding some of those charter schools.
- 20:32Needs to stop giving them federal dollars because of the anti-American education those kids are getting.
- 20:38But those parents want that.
- 20:39And they're funneling those kids there.
- 20:41They they can read the website.
- 20:44They know what these charter schools are about.
- 20:47And and they're sending their kids there because that's the education that they want.
- 20:52Well, the same holds true for my school.
- 20:54My parents and families want an excellent classical Christian education.
- 21:01They want their young people to be raised in American values and morality and an understanding of the great conversation brought to us through the great books.
- 21:20And to understand the deep questions that Socrates and Plato and Aristotle bring out and how to how to fleece out the answers and how to how to think about things critically.
- 21:36That's what my parents want.
- 21:38And they don't want and I don't want the federal government sticking their hands deep in our pockets, which are shallow enough to begin with.
- 21:48And demanding that we teach and do a certain thing.
- 21:54Now I I might be confident in this particular administration.
- 21:58But I'm not confident beyond that.
- 22:01I don't know what future administrations are going to do.
- 22:05And so we're pretty adamant.
- 22:06We're not taking federal dollars.
- 22:08And we're not going to be duped into a scheme, albeit it might be uh thought of uh legitimately to actually help families choose a school that that is going to provide a proper education, but yet down the road can be manipulated and twisted and turned by a uh by a future administration to to do its bidding.
- 22:34That is that's my only concern.
- 22:36Okay.
- 22:37I am I I love school choice, I I love the concept.
- 22:42My concern is what happens down the road once all the language is is fleeced out.
- 22:49The language, it's all about the language.
- 22:51That's all about how these how these bills and programs are written and crafted.
- 22:56And they have to be crafted, they have to be written, they have to be designed in a particular way, that it is pretty clear.
- 23:04I shouldn't say pretty, that it's extremely clear and concise that the money is the parents and the parents choose where the money goes.
- 23:17The money is not the federal government, therefore the federal government does not have a say in the program and the educational program and the educational curriculum and the and the educational philosophy.
- 23:30That's um that's that's a must.
- 23:33All right, went a little long in this break.
- 23:34Let's let's pick up this conversation on the other side because I'm enjoying it.

- 27:40So I implore you, give this give this a shot.
- 27:44All right.
- 27:45So we we started out here today by by celebrating school choice week.
- 27:50I mean, we're right here smack dab in the middle of it.
- 27:53And I was reminded as we're here talking about this.
- 28:00I was reminded of the book 1913.
- 28:04This is the book that I'm I'm taking the the government class through right now.
- 28:08Now don't you don't you want, don't you wish that your child or your grandchild was in an education system that not only taught the good of America, but also taught and discussed where things have gone wrong.
- 28:28Because I I don't believe we can just sugarcoat a thing.
- 28:32I don't think we can gloss over American history.
- 28:36I think we have to pinpoint where things turned.
- 28:41And then we have to talk about why those things turned.
- 28:44And we have to educate our young people in what happened and what we can do to fix the problem, what we can do to offer a course correction.
- 28:56And there were three things that went dastardly wrong in 1913, and two of them were constitutional amendments.
- 29:03The 16th and 17th Amendment.
- 29:07And the the kids at Waterbrook are receiving this education.
- 29:11They're understanding that they are understanding what uh the the financial constraints placed upon the federal government before the 16th Amendment.
- 29:23Where the the states had a voice in the financial structure.
- 29:28The states were positioned to be a a check and a balance against government spending.
- 29:37But when the 16th Amendment came along, the federal government no longer had to ask the states for permission.
- 29:48They could now just take it.
- 29:51They didn't have to ask anybody.
- 29:53They took it.
- 29:54They took it directly from the people.
- 29:56It became law.
- 29:56And this and the state signed off on this.
- 30:01The Congress signed off on this.
- 30:04And I don't know, we were sleeping while we slept.
- 30:06Were we concerned about, you know, we just came out of an election, Woodrow Wilson?
- 30:14Were we uh worried about world politics?
- 30:18Were we, you know, what hell mirror?
- 30:21What in the world was was taking place in 1913 with the populace, where we just where we fell asleep at the wheel.
- 30:32And then in conjunction, you had the 17th Amendment where the senators decided, yeah, we we don't want the states to have a voice.
- 30:41And we want to be elected by the popular vote of the people.
- 30:45The 16th and the 17th amendments were direct assaults upon the states.
- 30:50And they were also amendments that would boost the the authority and the financial power and ability of the federal government in conjunction with the federal reserve system.
- 31:06So listen, this is the education that I would want my kids to get.
- 31:11I would want my kids to learn about this.
- 31:13I would want my children to understand what took place in 1913 and how we got here, because now when General Flynn says, hey, should we abolish the income tax?
- 31:25My students, the seniors in my government class, the juniors in our economics class, they understand what he's talking about.
- 31:35They can now engage in these types of discussions.
- 31:39I mean, I'm sure some of them, I was about to say, instead of you know, scrolling videos on TikTok, I'm sure they are.
- 31:46You know, it's that generation, but but while they're doing that, at least they have a semblance of an understanding.
- 31:53And it's my hope that that understanding grows, that they continue to long to be educated.
- 32:00Uh, and so they can engage in these in these discussions because we need a citizenry that understands the debate and can engage in the discussions, and not just a citizenry that knows how to do whatever fad dance is happening on TikTok.
- 32:20Um look, I'm not opposed to entertainment, you know, you know, be entertained.
- 32:26Uh, but I am opposed when that's all we are is entertained, when we engage ourselves in 24-7 entertainment.
- 32:36Uh, you know, I love football, watch football, you know.
- 32:42I enjoy the weekends and the and the winter and the fall time uh because I enjoy that entertainment, but um so I'm I'm not saying let's not be entertained.
- 32:52I'm not even saying, you know, don't watch funny videos on TikTok.
- 32:56But when that becomes our life, and we're absorbed and we are then ignorant to the um to the debates happening around us and and the premise of of those debates, then we're in trouble.
- 33:12And we need a citizenry that understands that understands the debate, that understands what in the world General Flynn's talking about when he references the 16th Amendment, or you know, if we're going to do the 16th Amendment, we should probably do the 17th Amendment, but then you've got to can you know convince people, and I don't know that they understand.
- 33:29I think they think it's great that the senators are elected by you know popular vote.
- 33:36Everybody should get to vote for their senator.
- 33:39But the design was that the states would have a voice, and so then they need to understand the Constitution and Article 4 and the purpose of the states.
- 33:49And since we have essentially stopped teaching that aspect of things in our government classes and in our civics classes and in history class and in American public education, our students, our young people, this up and coming citizenry, they don't understand.
- 34:09They don't get it.
- 34:11And so now you've got parents in Minnesota that want their kids to be indoctrinated and are looking for those types of schools.
- 34:19Uh, you know, we talked about that yesterday.
- 34:22So here so here we are.
- 34:23We're celebrating national school choice week.
- 34:29And which again, I keep circling back on behind.
- 34:33I think that there should be school choice, but it's got to be done in a particular way.
- 34:40And all right, so I've I've spent some time here with that particular way is.
- 34:50Why do we need uh an affordable alternative to free?
- 34:56I mean, public education isn't free, we call it free because you don't pay a monthly bill at the um at the local public school, like you do, you know, for my school.
- 35:09My parents pay monthly tuition or quarterly or annually, or you know, we can set it up a variety of ways, but the the point is that they pay.
- 35:18They pay for the education their kids are receiving.
- 35:21And and often in the industry, we say it's hard to compete with free, but it's not really free.
- 35:27Public education isn't free.
- 35:28You are you your tax dollars are paying for it.
- 35:32All right, so here we are.
- 35:34We need a uh a viable alternative.
- 35:38We need a viable alternative for families who are not uh being charged twice.
- 35:45They're they're being charged their taxes to pay for a public education they're not taking part of, and then they dip into their hard-earned income to pay additional expenses for an education that they want.
- 35:58They want for their kids to have.
- 36:00Um, here in Michigan, and this is a reason why we need something viably alternatively affordable.
- 36:09The state board of education uh at their September meeting, introduced a new health standards framework that they want uh the education in the state of Michigan to adopt these uh the standards that are part of this new health framework, uh, include as part of a mandatory K-12 health class, sexual health.
- 36:40Sexual health would be now mandatory in health class for kindergarten through 12th grade.
- 36:48Instead of optional sex education that is shaped by their parents, by their pastors, or by medical professionals that they know and trust.
- 36:57This would be a mandated class.
- 37:03Uh the current health standards in Michigan focus on teaching things like hygiene, nutrition, first aid, CPR, drug prevention, other age-appropriate things that children should know for a healthy lifestyle.
- 37:19That's the current framework.
- 37:21This new proposed framework focuses on a progressive social health, and it involves embedding language that would affirm critical theory, climate activism, reproductive health.
- 37:36And you know, you know what reproductive health is.
- 37:38It's abortion.
- 37:40That's what they term uh reproductive health.
- 37:44You've got to be able to kill the baby, or you know, that's reproductive health.
- 37:48It's healthy.
- 37:50It's healthy, it's healthy for your reproductive system to get pregnant and then murder the child.
- 37:55Um, reproductive health.
- 37:57That's what they call it.
- 37:59Also, as a part of this new proposed framework, uh, is gender uh a queer gender theory added to the curriculum.
- 38:10Did you know that?
- 38:11Were you were you aware of that?
- 38:13No, okay, heads are shaking.
- 38:16Well, at least one head was shaking.
- 38:18No, uh, the proposed changes threaten the well-being of every child, every family, every parental right that takes place here in the state of Michigan.
- 38:29It would utterly destroy religious liberty.
- 38:34Uh Christians and people that are God fearing have a biblical duty to stand in the gap, safeguard their kids.
- 38:43And we talked about this the other day, that um 1957, that plaque that hangs in the millington pavilion and the in the uh Millington school grounds here in Michigan, and it's a dedication plaque.
- 39:01And the the plaque is dedicating their new elementary building, 1957, and they state the school board at that time states that they were in partnership with the church and the family and the school.
- 39:15It was a tri-une partnership and raising kids and and raising kids to be particular individuals, and the the things that are listed there in that dedication, excuse me, is that they wanted children to be law-abiding, God fearing citizens.
- 39:36That was the objective.
- 39:38Law abiding, God fearing citizens, 1957 in Michigan.
- 39:43Now here we are at the September state school board meeting, and the Board of Education is proposing a um a new mandate on sexual health and to be embedded in every K 12th classroom.
- 40:02And it's and it's being done in such a way that kids aren't being raised anymore to be God fearing law-abiding citizens.
- 40:11They're being raised to be citizens of another sort.
- 40:16And when your new framework includes social health, or I'm sorry, when your new when your new framework of social health includes critical theory, climate activism, reproductive health, queer gender theory.
- 40:44And we're not going to let it happen.
- 40:46Those of us that live and reside here in Michigan, we're not going to become Minnesota.
- 40:53So here's what every citizen needs to know.
- 40:55I'm looking at this update here from the organization who sent me this notice here in Michigan.
- 41:20And so sex education is being transformed into health education.
- 41:28It's kind of how abortion was transformed into reproductive health.
- 41:34And we need to be aware of this.
- 41:47Health class is required for K-12 students in Michigan.
- 41:53So these standards will affect millions of children across the state.
- 41:57And there's there's no opt-out availability for a class that's required.
- 42:04Dangerous unhealthy behavior is being normalized to our children, pushing sexual promiscuity, queer gender theory, other perversions as early as sixth grade, and probably even sooner if this is being incorporated into K-12.
- 42:27And just like Minnesota here in Michigan, children will be taught to become activists.
- 42:36And many of these quote unquote social issues violate their families' sincerely up religious beliefs.
- 42:43And furthermore, they violate scientific truth.
- 42:48And that is uh that's an affront to actual education.
- 42:54Um, so here's what parents need to be aware of here.
- 42:58Uh, no notice.
- 42:59These standards don't require schools to notify parents before teaching about sex or sexual orientation or gender and health classes takes place.
- 43:09It's there is no um parents aren't given that ability.
- 43:16They're they're not afforded that uh luxury of a notification.
- 43:21So they need to be aware of this.
- 43:23There is no opt-out policy.
- 43:25These standards don't protect the right of every parent to opt their child out.
- 43:31It's a required class.
- 43:33Uh health class is required.
- 43:35You can't opt out of it.
- 43:36And guess what?
- 43:36You're not going to be notified when they bust out uh gender queer theory on your kidneer.
- 43:43Uh school discipline without a clear opt-out provision.
- 43:48Local districts could initiate truancy charges if a parent did not permit their child to attend.
- 43:54Is that what you want?
- 43:56You want a truancy officer knocking on your door asking where little Johnny is?
- 44:00And how come you are keeping him from being educated?
- 44:05And so now you you're the bad guy if you're the parent here.
- 44:09And lastly, is uh trust issues.
- 44:12From the earliest ages, these standards require government schools to teach your children how to talk to you about their feelings, and so distrust between parents, teaching children to question if their parents are safe and if their parents are trusted.
- 44:34And there's a reference here in the uh uh in this framework from the uh from the Michigan Education Department, section 2.2, pages 15 to 16, where children are encouraged to question their parents, and and and children are being taught to wonder if their parents are safe and if their parents should be trusted, sowing uh seeds of distrust and discord within the family unit.
- 45:12And my friends, that that's the objective is to, it's always been the objective, is to break up the family unit.
- 45:23Let's let's put the state in charge.
- 45:26Let's have the kids trust the educators and the classroom more so than their parents.
- 45:33So, yes, we do need we do need viable options.
- 45:38And and so having school choice week here and national school choice week is important because we've got to talk about what the viable options are because families need alternatives to this.
- 45:50Okay, now again, this hasn't been enacted yet, but it's on the table.
- 45:55This was their discussion at the September meeting.
- 45:59And I'm sure it wasn't just Michigan that this conversation is is being discussed.
- 46:05I'm sure it's happening in every blue state in the in the country.
- 46:11Who knows?
- 46:12Maybe even some red states.
- 46:14All right, I'm looking at the clock.
- 46:15There's some other elements to this I want to get to, so we will do that uh coming into the third segment.
- 46:22You're listening to the dean's list on America Out Loud Talk Radio.

- 47:59Well, did you see Google quietly updated its AI principles removing its pledge not to use AI for weapons or surveillance?
- 48:09A promise they agree to in 2018.
- 48:12Well, the American people have seen Google's track record.
- 48:16Is Google an untrustworthy player in the AI race?
- 48:24Now is our time, my fellow Americans.
- 48:28America outloud.news, liberty and justice for all segment two, both of those segments.
- 48:44So segment three is going to be shortened.
- 48:47But I want to uh wrap up this discussion here on why we need an alternative to public education by highlighting what's happening here in Michigan with this move, this push to take sexual health and incorporate it into health classes here in Michigan, K-12.
- 49:10Health classes that are mandated.
- 49:13Um, and sexual health classes that aren't.
- 49:16Sexual classes, parents can opt out of health classes, they can't.
- 49:20And the move here in Michigan is to encompass it and make it all one.
- 49:25So they have an easy target at indoctrinating our children.
- 49:29And again, this is why we need some alternatives here, some affordable alternative.
- 49:34We have alternatives, but they're in many cases that they're not affordable.
- 49:40And if there were, if parents had the right to have their tax dollars, their property tax dollars follow them to the school of their choice.
- 49:51This would change things.
- 49:53This would unleash uh this would break the monopoly, the the
- 50:00Monopoly that Marxists have on our current education system.
- 50:04This would destroy it.
- 50:06All right.
- 50:06So just some other things I want to highlight here.
- 50:08Maybe uh maybe what pastors need to know.
- 50:11And again, I'm referring to this Michigan situation.
- 50:15The standards seek to remove pastors from the conversation by reclassifying sex education as health education.
- 50:22Currently, in the state of Michigan.
- 50:27Currently, uh MCL 380.1507, which is state law.
- 50:35Current sex education law requires that clergy as spiritual advisors and spiritual shepherds of their communities should serve on sex education advisory boards.
- 50:46It's state law.
- 50:48It's got to happen.
- 50:50However, MCL 380.1170, which speaks about health education law, this requires no such provision.
- 51:04Therefore, health education boards don't need clergy.
- 51:11It's not a requirement.
- 51:13And if sex health is being absorbed into health, or I'm sorry, if sex education is being absorbed into health education, it removes any aspect of a member of clergy being being a part of those boards.
- 51:30Even if sex education advisory boards continue to meet the standards proposed by the state for teaching sexual health, require children to be taught values that clearly violate God's word.
- 51:45Therefore, these standards are put in place to silence clergy.
- 51:51All right.
- 51:52So what do Christian families need to know about this?
- 51:56These standards that are being proposed.
- 52:00Introduce a very real religious liberty threat to those who teach health class in public schools.
- 52:06They will require teachers to instruct and explain to students that gender identity or gender expression or sexual orientation are distinct components of every child's individual identity.
- 52:22And further teachers will be required to explain to students that a romantic or an emotional or a sexual attraction can be towards an individual of the same gender and or different genders, which would violate the religious beliefs of any Christian teachers who are to be teaching these health classes.
- 52:59And furthermore, on top of all of this, Christian colleges and universities who train teachers are going to face similar hardships.
- 53:06As a matter of fact, that reminds me, I saw this the other day.
- 53:09I'm going to pull this up.
- 53:15This involved the Moody Bible College in Chicago.
- 53:22This article here.
- 53:50Chicago public schools has blocked Moody's elementary education students from participating in its student teaching program.
- 54:00So it's already happening.
- 54:01It's already happening in Chicago, Illinois, where Moody Bible College, who has they train teachers.
- 54:11They have a uh a teaching program.
- 54:16They are being blocked by Chicago public schools from their students participating in their student teacher programs.
- 54:26Prospective teachers from Moody are fully qualified to participate in the student teaching program.
- 54:32Chicago public schools are desperately need to fill these vacancies.
- 54:37But yet the school district is discriminating against Moody and its students instead of staffing their classrooms.
- 54:47When Christian organizations are prevented from hiring staff with aligned beliefs, their mission is undermined as their Christian foundation is stripped away.
- 54:57And so here we are.
- 55:10That there is a clear difference in Michigan law between health education and sex education.
- 55:15And these proposed standards are going to usurp legislative authority.
- 55:21Without regard for governance, the state board of education proposes to administratively enact many curriculum changes that failed to pass the legislature as recently as last year.
- 55:33And the standards steal local control from local boards of education and local sex education advisory boards and those closest to the children know their needs best.
- 55:52And these standards are so burdensome that even if input were allowed, local communities would not be able to substantially alter them without risking non-compliance andor funding loss.
- 56:04So we need alternatives.
- 56:06And this is a prime example here in Michigan.
- 56:10But why we need alternatives.
- 56:24But we would love it if the if the language of the various laws that are coming out and the states would make it clear that the tax dollars that are following the parents to the school of their choice is the money of the parents.
- 56:44And it's not the federal government's money.
- 56:47And therefore the federal government has no say in the curriculum of choice.
- 56:52That is our that's our thing.
- 56:54I will repeat it often, early and often, as they say when you're voting in Chicago.
- 57:00All right, my friends, thank you for joining me today.
- 57:03Thank you for joining me this week.
