So ⁓ thank God. I was I was working so I'm glad it's over 'cause it was very annoying and it was just there was a lot of things it was just getting to the point where I was getting agitated and ⁓ annoyed. So I'm glad work's over, but I gotta go back tomorrow, so Shamus: And working the weekend would always piss me. Man, I hated that. Yeah. ⁓ man. I'll tell you what else is annoying. But I am now single again. What? Yeah. Yeah. And it wasn't that the relationship was annoying because she was actually a pretty cool chick. Herbie: ⁓ Shamus: It was annoying in the way that I don't know. I don't know what I did. I don't know what happened. So it just kind of ended. And she kind of ⁓ earlier the the year we were talking on the phone and I just kind of ⁓ we texting and I kind of mentioned like, hey, if this is how it's gonna be, I was helping another friend who was a female. Yeah. Nothing was going on there. I'm that guy, you know how I am. Yeah. ⁓ but she was just like, Well, I don't want you doing this, this and I was just like, Listen, I have a lot of female friends that I help out along the way. Yeah. If this is how it's gonna be, like I can't this is not gonna work. And she gave me whole I can't believe you're gonna break up with me over text. And I was like, I didn't break up with you. I'm just letting you know. Like we could talk through this, but I'm just letting you know there's gonna be a problem. Guess who broke up with your boy over text? Herbie: Yeah, but this is gonna be like a habitual pro What the hell? ⁓ Shamus: I got the hey ⁓ you wanna go talk about this, maybe go get a coffee or something. She was just like, I don't see the point. Wow. I'm gonna relax this summer and you know, spend time with my kids and all. And and I'm taking a high it's like I said, she wasn't a bad person. It just didn't work out. ⁓ I I guess she got pissy towards the end. Damn. ⁓ but it was definitely a pet peeve. I hate when people tell me one thing and then do another. Can't stand that shit. Herbie: Well yeah, 'cause ⁓ you are like like that kind of straightforward person. Like especially for you, dude. If you have a friend that needs help, you just help ⁓ regardless. So it's not like there's like a hidden agenda because if it's a girl, there's like a hidden agenda to help her for Shamus: Well you know Meg. Yeah. I've known Meg for twenty years. Yeah. We kind of dated on and off in the early part of knowing each other. Yeah. But after that we became to the point like we're like brother and sister. Yeah. Like I love her like she's family. Yeah. if she call if I'm dating somebody and she calls and needs something or one of her kids needs something, I'm there. Yeah. It's just the way it is. It has nothing to do with relationships or sexual stuff or any of that stuff. She's she's family. Herbie: It's the same thing with you help me with the boat. I'm like looking at I want to get the boat. You're like, yeah, let's go get it. I was like okay Shamus: Yeah, so I don't know, I guess she a little jealous or something like that. But yeah, that was definitely a pet peeve that you know, I can't believe you're breaking up with me over text and then she ended up breaking up with me over text, so ⁓ Herbie: Man, so what are we we gonna are we gonna talk about pet peeves? 'Cause I have like a thing where I could go on a goddamn rant 'cause I just Shamus: Give me we can do that, man. What's one of your pet peeves, bro? Wow. All right. Well I'm in one of those moods, man. I'm just letting you ready. I know we always stay positive and we'll we still won't talk about religion and politics, but I'm I'm gonna talk some shit today that kind of chaps my ass a bit. Herbie: Well, I guess so. I'm glad you asked 'cause I can break it up Yeah. Well, I'm sure the listeners too, man. There's stuff that pisses them off, so it's like, what the hell, man? Like I guess I could break mine up into like, you know, food, people, and animals. All right, brother. Now don't get me wrong, I love animals, so it's not really it's just like certain types of animals. But definitely for for food. Like a lot of people that really know me, like especially like my work wives at work, they know that I hate goddamn pulp and orange juice. I just I hate it. Shamus: You mentioned that before, man. That's a thing. Don't like your orange juice crunchy? Herbie: I hate it. I even have a c ⁓ no. I don't like any floaty bits, man. I hate floaty bits in any type of drink. It just reminds me of like like backwashing. Some ⁓ I just I c yeah, I can't do it. I can't do it. Can't do it. Shamus: I could take it with or without. It doesn't matter. Herbie: No, no, no, I can't do it, man. That or coconut bits. I mean I love coconut water, but I I can't drink it with the bits. No bits. Herbie, don't do bits. yeah, I could do that. You know, quail eggs when and the sake bomb shot. Yeah, I could do that. Also even have a theory on goddamn ⁓ our grapefruit, or I believe that the devil actually created grapefruit. If you want I can elaborate on that one. Shamus: Tequila with the worm? I'm gonna I'm gonna agree with you on that 'cause grapefruit is ⁓ God, that is I know they say coffee is the devil's urine, but yeah. Man, grapefruit is woo. Herbie: All right, well let me tell you my theory about grapefruits. So they were like, you know, God makes oranges, right? So it's good for you. It's got vitamin C, it's good to drink and everything. And I just had a feeling that Satan was like, you know what? Everyone's enjoying oranges. Let me do something to mess with it. Cause you know, God creates and the devil just corrupts. So pretty much everyone's drinking orange juice and he's like, ⁓ I hit you with the goddamn pulp in the orange juice. And then he gotta one up it again. Then he decides to take a goddamn orange and then create it into a grapefruit. So basically what he does is he's like, hey, I'm gonna make this other thing that looks just like an orange, but bigger, so the humans are gonna think, ooh, more orange cause it's bigger and stuff. Shamus: I'll tell you what, they do look delicious when they're cut open and they're just sitting there. The pink ones. Herbie: They do, but they taste like Yeah. ⁓ yeah. Yeah. They they look like nice. And that's gonna bring you in. But deep down inside, they really taste like ass sweat, regret, and depression. I just I hate ⁓ And not only that too, the goddamn grapefruit, you know what it does to medications? It fucks it up. So that you know the goddamn devil made that shit. ⁓ there's like some kind of medication. There's something in in grapefruits that actually counteracts certain types of medications. Shamus: What does it fuck it up? Really? Does Orange do that or is it just great? Herbie: Yeah. No, that's cause God made oranges and then the devil made this goddamn ass sweat orange. Shamus: I didn't know that. I didn't think there was a di I d ⁓ it's all citric acid. Herbie: Yeah, but I think it's like a different type and it just tastes like just goddamn ass wet. I don't know I don't know what ass wet tastes like, but I'm just s like when I tasted it for the first time, I like, Jesus Christ. I couldn't do it. I couldn't do it. Yeah it's disgusting. Grapefruits are disgusting. That that's why the devil made that shit. Shamus: Okay. All right, my number one pet peeve is I was raised right. ⁓ huh. So every time I go to a certain place to like say food shopping or something, or you know, the ATT store to get a new phone or whatever, which is like every five years because I don't give a shit about technology and that round. But like anytime I'm talking to somebody, and it's usually older people, this really fucking chaps my ass, dude. Like I'll be like, all right, ma'am, or sir. It's usually the women. Thank you, ma'am. Man, do I look that old? I'm like, it's a sign of respect. Like, calm the fuck down. And then they're and then they get all uppity and shit. So I'm like, Well, what would you prefer? Asshole. Thanks, asshole. Hey jerk golf. I appreciate it. Herbie: Yeah you know my favorite fuck face. Shamus: Hey sir, do I look like a sir to you? I hate it in the military when you used to do that to an NCO. Yeah. Hey and like you being civilian clothes. Hey sir, I'm not a sir. I work for a living. Okay, well go fuck yourself. Herbie: Yeah, I want I get that shit too sometime. Shamus: I don't need fucking feedback on it, dude. Just like, hey, thanks, bud. Jerk offs. I fucking hate that. I can't stand it. Instead of looking at me going, hey man, that guy's parents did a fucking great job. Yeah. He has respect for his elders or I mean, I even do it to like, you know, I'm forty nine years old next week. So like I even do it to like kids that work at Wendy's and shit, like my or Wawa when I go to pick up. Hey, thanks, sir. I appreciate it. Hey, thanks, ma'am. I mean most of those people have no idea what the fuck I'm talking about. Like the older people, and she usually women are just like, Man, do I look like your grandmother? And blah blah blah. Hey, you look like ⁓ you know, a fucking douchebag. Yeah. So yeah, that pisses me off. ⁓ What pisses you off? Or your pet peeve. Herbie: Pip peeve, like cauliflower. I don't trust it. It's a goddamn like it's alb it's it's an albino. No, I I it just I don't trust it. It's just like it grows in the sun, right? The leaves are green, but the goddamn like the the thing itself is albino white and it looks like a brain. I just don't trust it. Shamus: That's a pet peeve more of a dislike. You know what I don't get? First of all, why they rice that shit. Yeah. Because they'll chop it up real fine and people substitute it as rice. Well, what the fucking problem? Like, millions of Asian people are eating rice and they have like zero obesity problems. Right. So why the fuck not just I know people are like, ⁓ the carbs were, you know, why are we chopping up cauliflower to simulate Herbie: Because it makes people feel better, man, because everyone's doing like the bottomless breadsticks of freaking Olive Garden and stuff like that. That's why. Or the goddamn garlic knots at work. You know what mean? That's what that crap is. Shamus: I refuse to taste them pizzas that have the cauliflower the cauliflower crust or whatever. I'm like I like cauliflower, it doesn't bother me. Like I if I I get like ⁓ the California blend 'cause I love vegetables, dude. Yeah. Like frozen vegetables and if it's in with like the broccoli and the carrots and all I I just won't eat cauliflower, like I'll think of it. But I'm the if it's in a mix or something, I'm fine. Herbie: Nope. Well I've had cauliflower rice before and I like, God damn, this actually not bad, but I'm not gonna pick cauliflower or eat it. And it's I just can't I just I just I can't do it. Shamus: I'll tell you what, when it too mushido, it has the same 'cause I've had goat brains over in the Middle East. And it's got that same consistency that we're Yeah. So Herbie: Can't do beats either, cause like it's no matter how many times you wash goddamn beats, it still tastes like dirt. Shamus: I don't mind beats. I mean I can't sit down and eat a jar of ⁓ I'll have like one or two. Herbie: No, I can't do it. Can't do it. Same thing with like what the hell is that? You know, we're ⁓ like ambrosia. We've talked about ambrosia before. That's just like a mishmash of a whole bunch of like pulp Shamus: I've had my eye out for it. It's a summertime now, but I've been looking I'm getting a cup of it, bringing it back to the house. Herbie: Don't do it. Don't do it, man. That and hot cereal. I hate hot cereal. I know you like hot cereal, but if you gotta add a bunch of shit to it to make it taste like food, I'm like, forget it, man. And cottage cheese, I think it looks like girdled milk. Can't do it. Nope. Shamus: I know you mentioned that. I love cottage. You know what I hate? ⁓ my pet beav is. And I don't get road raids, but I cannot stand when people do not use their turn signal. ⁓ like if you're on a and there's a lot of them around here. Yeah, there's a lot of them around here where they're just like single, you know, like 206, it's just a highway, but it's like single lane and stuff. And you'll be driving and like, not that I tailgate and I take my time and stuff, but the person in front of me would just like hit their brake, they're slowing down. You're like, all right, maybe there's a deer coming up, or they're trying to, and they just at the last second dip off, and you're like, Herbie: Some highway stuff. No turns Dude, that scumbags. Well, that brings us back to the Shamus: ⁓ that runs me the wrong way, man. Cannot stand that shit. Especially and then when they stop and they have to wait for traffic and there's nothing blanket or just stop. So you're like And you're just kinda like what the fuck is going on? And all of a sudden they turn and you ⁓ my God Herbie: Yeah, yeah. Shamus: Just ⁓ that drives me nuts. Herbie: Well also like stick with the road stuff. I'm still sticking with the goddamn Lance Armstrong people and the frickin' bicycles. I hate you people, man. It they just put everyone else in danger. It's like it's like a whole you ever see like the like National Geographics where it's like like just a big frickin' like thing of sardines just swimming around? It's like them on the goddamn road. And you're trying to go around them, you're trying to be aware of them, and you're trying to be cautious of them, and they're all wearing those tidy Shamus: Cyclist people. Herbie: frickin' outfits and the stupid dork helmet. I just try they they still drive me nuts. Shamus: Do what I do, man. I heckle. As I'm driving by him and stuff, you always find the guy without like the headphones and shit. I'm like, yo, should you be wearing that speed or that shit makes you look fat. Fuck Yeah. Then you like swerve at him and they're like I talk shit, man. Herbie: Yeah. ⁓ I I do too. I but and a lot of times I'm just like But do I hate ⁓ though. They drive me nuts, man. I'm like Shamus: I do hate those people. And trust me, when they get off the bike and get a shower and all that stuff like that, I'd probably know that and like like them as people. But when they're on those bikes, man. Herbie: Yeah, and they're just like like self-entitled snobs about it too, man. I'm like, I have a right to the road. Okay, so do I. And you're going under the speed limit of a forty-five or fifty mile an hour zone. Like you scumbags. I just ⁓ hate it. I'm sorry. Shamus: I cannot stand one of my peppies is dumb questions. ⁓ yeah. I mentioned this on the pod before. The day the the F-150 died and they were dropping it. They were dropping it off the flatbed in my driveway. My neighbor just happened to walk by and he was like, Hey, having car problems? Nope. Got the lows and thought to myself, hey, today's a beautiful day to have somebody tow my fucking truck back and I'll just ride shotgun with him. Because hey I got two hundred fifty dollars. Yeah. Why not have somebody else drive this shit? The fuck out of here. That or when a cop pulls you over and and me being law enforcement for all those years, I I laugh because like you'll be you'll get pulled over and they as soon as they walk up to like life's registration insurance. And I never asked what I did because I pretty much know. Or like you know how fast you're going. No. Why don't you fucking tell me, sport? Yeah. Fucking well, I love the whole I smell alcohol. Have you been drinking tonight? Well, I'm the only person in this fucking car, dude. ⁓ so it's either me or you. What do you Herbie: Maybe both. You never know, man. Shamus: Yeah, what have you been doing tonight? I can't stand that shit. Herbie: Maybe next time try that, man. But like, what were you drinking, officer? Like, what? Shamus: He'll be doing so I hate when people like when you're doing something. ⁓ like just got done mowing my grass and let go of the lawn mower and stuff, go to grab the thing and your neighbor comes out like mowing the lawn, huh? Nope. Yeah. Like, what the fuck does it look like I'm doing? Herbie: Bob. It reminds me of like Albert and something like that. Just getting done work. Jesus Christ, Albert. ⁓ Rest in peace, Albert. We miss you, man. Shamus: Yeah, but I can't stand dude and especially and most of the time I'm like, yeah, hey, what's going on, man? Or yeah, that's what I'm doing. But like in my head, like that little devil dude just like tell him to fuck himself. Yo like we're doing jerk all Herbie: ⁓ yeah. I'm glad you say it, because you what actually pisses me off too, because like at the hospital we we use elevators. So say for example, if I'm going up and there's people that don't really look and they walk in the elevator with me, and then I'm pressing up to go up to like, you know, seventh floor or something like that, and then they press ground. Then they look at me like I'm the asshole that like I took their elevator. I just want to give them like the goddamn Street Fighter Ryu fucking ⁓ show do you can uppercut right in god damn face, man. Just trust me not. They just look at you like with like, why'd you take my elevator? Like you just ⁓ It just makes me wanna just she want a bottle. Shamus: ⁓ what? thing that ties in with that is I can't stand people like it's supposed to be 106 degrees or something like that this Thursday. Yeah. And you'll be outside and somebody like man it's gotten hot. It's like a sauna out here. Or like if you're in a sauna and somebody walks in like man it's hot in here. It's like a sauna in here. I'm like how about this heat? What get away from me. Hate that. Go ahead Herbie: Yeah. All right, let me see. ⁓ people who like to say, I'm a foodie. I'm like, yeah, no shit. Everyone likes to eat food. That's like saying you're a breathy because you like to breathe air. You know what I mean? It's either like like everyone loves food, okay? Just because you ate a taco bell doesn't mean you're a pro on Mexican food. Just like all these other people that have like, ⁓ I know everything about sushi. I'm like, no, you freaking don't. You'd even know the goddamn etiquette to nothing, but you're a freaking foodie. Ugh. Shamus: What i I mean I never understood like how does one is there like a university that you have to go to to be ⁓ yeah become a fo like is there like a certified a degree or something like that or you're I'm a or you're just an asshole that goes on yelp when you you know granted I get a bad hamburger every once in a while, but I'm not going on Yelp to burn the fucking place down. Herbie: Yeah. That is basically it. One star. ⁓ Shamus: Foodies. Get out of here. Cr I hate critics. of everything just suck. Herbie: Like a food review at a bodega. The atmosphere was lackluster and there was a cat sleeping in the corner. ⁓ One star. Like Jesus Christ, what the f you expect? Shamus: ⁓ well we'll know if you're a foodie and you're listening to this, we'll know who you are. Because the minute I look at the Apple with their Spotify ratings and it's one star, that motherfucker's Herbie: We know who you are. Also, I'd like you the other one I had ⁓ like ⁓ the f white people telling me how good avocado is with everything bagel seasoning as avocado toast. I fing hate that shit and you guys mark up the price at avocado now. I'm like Jesus Christ. Like every Puerto Rican like every every Latino that like we Avocado or avocate is like just lemon and salt. That's it. You don't need to mash it up. You know, I mean you can use guacamole to sabe, pero you don't need freaking everything bagel seasoning and put it on toast and be like, ⁓ my god, like I just discovered this avocado toast, it's delicious. I've eaten that shit since I was born. Shamus: You know why that's a thing now? It's all over the health magazine and Herbie: That's why I don't like even to like there's a lot of like ingredients for like like Latin and all these other like cultures that actually have ingredients that are healthy, ⁓ that are cheap and can feed a family, a full family, and then white people gotta be like, ⁓ my god, it's a it's it's a superfood it's a superfood, so now I gotta get it at Whole Foods and it's gotta be thirty dollars for I don't see Jesus Christ. They just marked up a price. Especially for something like that for people that are struggling. Where p just people that have like that, the culture that actually doesn't have to spend a lot of money but has a big family and they can use that. And then all of a sudden you got a bunch of white people that want to buy up all those ingredients and now it's just like they just ruined the Latinos dinners. Shamus: I'm gonna piggyback off of that because I'm the I'm a like when I eat, I just sometimes I just don't give a shit. Yeah. Like I ain't got time, like especially when you're law enforcement stuff. You ain't got time to sit down and spread avocado out on toast and stuff. So I used to just take it, cut it in half, rip it in half, pull the seat out, and then just take a plastic spoon and just scoop it out and And you always get that man. You were gonna eat that like that? You should put that on toast or something. I'll tell you what. I should put it across your fucking lip, you fucking get away from. Herbie: Say And it's gotta have everything bagel seasoning on it. Shamus: Don't tell me how to fucking yeah, I hate that's another thing. Man, you were gonna put all that you're gonna put spicy mustard and mayo on that turkey? What? Well mayo and just shut up. Herbie: Actually, you what's funny too because like I I I hate when people are nosy and want to be all in your business. And say for example, like if they they're like, ⁓ what's what what are you talking about? Like, ⁓ it's nothing important that you that you would really even care to talk about or not even care at all. And like, no, no, no, no, no. Tell me, tell me, tell me. And it takes you more time to tell them what this minor thing is that you didn't include them in. And when you tell them, they just go, ⁓ I'm like, Jesus Christ, you made me waste all that goddamn time to explain it to you. And I told you, you're not gonna care. You're not gonna wan really wanna know. But that nosy curiosity and shit, it just makes him go. ⁓ After you wasted time telling him, I just wanna ⁓ yeah, just Street Fighter again. Just give him the shortayuke and uppercut. Shamus: I'm gonna go 180 degrees on that. We I can't stand when people butt into conversations or not the one up there. We had this guy I worked with and I'm not gonna mention anything. ⁓ we had this guy who knew everything and knew how to get everything. So me and my one buddy were sitting in the break room and I was just kind of like, let's fuck with this dude a little bit. He was like, Leah, let's fuck with him. I said every time he walks in, like if we see him coming, we're gonna start up a fake conversation about something so fucking ridiculous and see if Herbie: And uppers. Shamus: He knew because he was like the Cliff Claven of like in cheer. Like he knew everything. So he was walking towards us one day and I was like, yo, E. My buddy's name was Eric. I yo, E. I here he comes, check this shit out. Follow my lead. He was like, all right. I was like, yeah, so I don't know. The coach asked me if I knew where to get five thousand gallons of fucking pickle juice. And I have no fucking idea where to get pickle juice. And this guy was like, How many you need? I was like, five thousand gallons. He was like, five thousand gallons. I was like, yeah, he was like, Well I know a guy who used to own a deli, and I could probably get it for you at a discount. And I was just kind of like, we started laughing. I said, Get me a number. Get me a number. You never got me a number. So, like a week later, we saw him coming again. So my my buddy E was just like, Yeah, ⁓ you know, she's 600 pounds, but she loves to do ballerina, but they just don't make shoes in her size. And he was like, What are you talking about? And he was like, ⁓ my fucking brother's wife's fucking cousin or something like that is seriously overweight, but she's very mobile. Like she's like almost 600 pounds. Yeah. But like, and she wants to start taking ballerina lessons. But she wears like a fucking like something that would fit like a grizzly bear footwise. And we're trying to figure out where we get like ballerina shoes for her. And he was just like, I might know a guy. Let me know. You know, but Well you know where the ballerina shoe originates from like it. Herbie: Right. Shamus: We threw everything at him and he was and he never picked up on it. He was never phased. Yeah. You could have asked him how many f like gallons of jet fuel does it take to fly me, you, and this podcast, all the equipment to Mars and back. And he would just be, give me like five minutes. Let me get a calculator. And he would So we just everything we talked about he knew about or he knew some guy or so yeah, that guy pet to man. Herbie: What? ⁓ This other like but also like the one-uppers that really they always like overdo your story like, ⁓ I did that too. ⁓ yeah, I did that, but I did it better. I'm like, Jesus, I f I hate you too. Or actually the other people who say, I don't want to be rude, but continue to be rude. Those people. Shamus: Yeah, it's the same people like, all due respect, I'm like, here it comes. Yeah. We gonna have to fight. Herbie: Or people who call seltzers beers, I hate that shit. Shamus: That whole well and I've I drink ⁓ every once in a while, but that whole Wake Law wasted, like that I mean, that's a college thing, I get it. Yeah. But like that whole movement for a minute there, I was just kinda like ⁓ Herbie: I mean don't get me wrong, if you enjoy seltzers, fine. But don't call ⁓ beers because they're not goddamn beers. I can't shit on those ⁓ twisted teas though. I I talk shit about I I talk shit about them. I got pretty freaking loaded on them things, man. That's another story for another one. Like ⁓ my God. Or also another thing that annoys the hell out of me, cause I play like a lot of phones on my game. I mean ⁓ like games on my phone and you get like these goddamn ads all the time, and the only way you can actually get the awards is actually watching these ads. So I'm sick of the goddamn Calci ads and that one chick that does the Swiffer commercials. She drives me freaking nuts, dude. Makes me hate the products even more because I just want to play the game on my break. Shamus: I sent a message to YouTube because like you said, they had that nozzle thing. The mayor of your town is gonna shut this down because this nozzle is negating all pressure washers. And I saw that Christ advertisement like 90 times this year. So I sent a thing to ⁓ YouTube. I was like, be advised, you know, as a subscriber, I am no longer buying anything that you guys advertise on this shit. Herbie: Just yeah, ads just make you hate the products either without calci either. And it's always like three every three seconds is goddamn calci ad. I'm like, good for you with your business, but I don't care. Shamus: Yeah, it went from that nozzle thing that you hooked to your phone to I guess there's protein ramen now. Ramen noodles for protein and I was just kinda like, dude, I'm not buying any of this shit because these people just drive me f nuts. Herbie: Well, I'm just gonna go easy too. ⁓ the Boston Red Sox. Shamus: ⁓ yeah. Here's a pet peeve. I saw on because I'm not paying for cable door in the summer because I'm never here. ⁓ I saw on my phone like ⁓ benches clear, Red Sox Yankees. And I was just like, ⁓ let me check this out. And it was just kind of like the one guy flipped his bat and he started yapping and bench-I'm like, why come off that's a pet peeve. Why come if nobody's throwing a punch on everybody? And here come the pitchers and we're gonna run all the way to the outfield just to go, hey, are you fighting? No, let's go back. Yeah. Herbie: It's just clickbait for like the the news people to say something. Shamus: I'm saying, like if you're gonna come running from the bullpen, yeah, when people say, throw punch, don't just run it like that. I'm just like, man, this is some straight bitch shit. Herbie: Yeah. Or even like the weight from the bat, like you the weight thing they put on the bat, just use that as a discus and chuck it. Yeah. Shamus: I never understood that. You're joling as you're walking up the thing and everybody starts coming out at it, Doug. Bro, I'm not talking to you. I'm talking to him. Yeah. If we start fighting, come out, but other than that, sit the f fags. Herbie: Yeah, just fight. ⁓ actually, you know what drives me nuts too? I l I love beautiful women, but when they do this like they're snort up the s ⁓ my god. Like and they're like sucking down snot, I'm just like just you go from like an eight to a solid one point two, man. I can't do it. It's just like that that it's just I don't know, it's just nasty. I know women have their functions, their bodily functions. I totally get that. But when you start Shamus: You can't do that in public. Herbie: ⁓ man, it's just and it's like Shamus: 'Cause I try that's I can't stand Herbie: Can't do it. Shamus: I can't stand girls who curse, spit, Herbie: No, Shamus: Listen, you can you can like yay fuck but like when you walk in, like you you're Andrew Dice Clay's sister, and you're like fuck this, fuck that, man. And like you spit, you fart, you burp. I cannot stand women like that. So that's a huge thing. But like I said, but I'm also that same guy. I'll never spit in front of a girl. I try not to burp or fart, like I'll walk away, or if I do, you know, I'll walk away or blow my nose. Like when I go to blow my nose, I don't do it at a table. I get up, I walk into the bathroom where I walk away from people. If I sneeze I walk away. So yeah, I'm with you on that, man. Herbie: That whole ⁓ god. And you just hear like all the snots like rolling right down the back of their throat. I'm like Shamus: You can get maybe one, especially during cold and flu season, you can get one from me. But if you're one of the people that just kind of Herbie: Don't be hot and do it all the time, man. It's just like you're just like Jesus Christ. It's just ⁓ God. Shamus: You know what I hate? ⁓ Slow walkers. ⁓ Because when you get stuck behind those people, for some reason, they could be like six foot, like 80 pounds. They could build, they could be built like the animations on 101 Dalmatians, like them skinny English people and shit. But when they walk slow, you can't get around them. Yeah. Like you cannot get around these. But I don't know what it is. It's like some, especially when you're at the mall because traffic goes one way. I cannot stand people that just walks like now, I get it if you're older, elderly and stuff like that, but when you're one of those people that are just or you're on your phone, you're looking straight down and you're just kind of meandering and ⁓ Yeah. Herbie: Or sometimes you got like a a group of four people, so they actually got a wall. And then when you're trying to get around them, they're looking at you like you're some kind of like serial killer or some shit. I'm like, no, just get out of the way. Shamus: Well, the first thing I notice is they're usually looking down at their phones. Yeah. And I'm thinking to myself, they are the easiest start. Like for them idiots that play the knockout game. Yeah. Or if a mugger wanted to one by and grab her purse, or if it's a dude, like somebody could just like push them over, grab the wallet and take off. Yeah. I'm like, you guys are fucking because I when I'm walking. Yeah. ⁓ I try not to be on my phone at all. You always gotta be alert of your situation. And even if I do have to pull up my phone, I usually put my back up against a wall. Yeah. And I have my phone like I hold it up shoulder level. So I can kind of see things from my peripheral and all that stuff. ⁓ but these people are sheep, man. They're just they're just walking with their phone down or just like and I was like, they have no idea. Like there could be ⁓ like an RPG coming through this wind like and I could look and go, holy shit, man, that guy across the street's getting ready to shoot. And I'm ducking and you're just kinda like Herbie: Like the album was like scroll, scroll, scroll. Shamus: Boom. But in the meantime, you're holding me up, so get out of the way. Herbie: Actually, you know, it's another thing. Going back to like to animals, I can't I'd like ⁓ God help me, I cannot fathom the idea of hairless cats. They just creep me out, dude. They look like goddamn like d like their consistency of like their skin is like consistency of like chewed bubblegum, dude. And there's veins running through them. I just ⁓ my god, I I Shamus: I always say I always say they look like they're covered in elbow skin. Herbie: Yeah, it's it's yeah, it's weird, man. Because like it's almost like they're it's not a complete cat. You know, I'm like, where's the rest of ya? You know? They look like the goddamn from the Stephen King movie, like Sleepwalkers, those cat demon things. You know, they're sucking souls out of virgins' mouths and stuff. I'm like, or like this ⁓ I'm just like, what the hell is this thing? I know it's a Sphinx cat and it's it's expensive. I I wish the cat's well, but I just don't wanna pet ⁓ Shamus: You know who had one? There was a fat ass Jennifer Anison on that episode of Friends. Really? Yeah. Herbie: I messed with a chick that had one and it just creeped me out. I actually think that it's like it's part of a dark magic, dude. Because I swear to God, this cat was able to teleport from room to room. Even if you it was you could be like in the living room ch chilling out with the girl. And then next thing you know, the cat's there in the living room and once is nice enough to come up and want you to pet it and stuff. And I have no pro ⁓ because I love animals, but it was just like I just felt weird petting this thing because it really did feel like chewed bubblegum. And I was just like Shamus: It's like I said, they look like they have the consistency of Velbo skin. Herbie: And then like we of course like we w you know the cat Yeah. It's just like you know, and you got it's got like these veins running through it, and it's just I'm like, ⁓ my god. And I was just thinking sleepwalkers the whole time I seen this thing. So when I'm sitting there and then we you know we move the festivities to the bedroom, and the cat was still in the in the living room. Close the door. Shamus: Elbow skin is Herbie: And then after a little while, like, you know, I'm starting to feel something warm and warm bubblegum like you're just like when you're you know, laying in bed and stuff like that, you're just chilling. And it just felt like this warm little bubblegum body on my back 'cause we were like kinda like spooning. And I just and I saw the cat. The d no, it was like spooder and the cat was like, I don't know how the hell the cat got in the room, dude. That's why I think it's sorcery. It teleported or some shit. Got into the room with a closed door, mind you. Cause the last time we left, the cat was in the goddamn living room. And then it made it ⁓ magically found a way to get into the bedroom. And then like that, just lay on my right side where my kidneys were. I just felt like this warm body. And I freaked out. Dude, it was just weird, man. And I was just I had to go. It didn't work out. I was just like, I I'm I'm sorry, I had to go. Shamus: It's funny when you said it was like all veining stuff. I I thought of that movie Waiting when they were doing the junk show and game and he's like, here's a batwing bitch and he like he's like you gotta pull your testicle skin apart where it's like a batwing. Herbie: It looks like a bat No, it's tr ⁓ just I don't know. I like I'm and it's I just feel bad because like if that cat is engineered that way, I still think that's animal cruelty, man. 'Cause like it there's so much things with the with the Shamus: I don't think they are 'cause they're really they're I mean, they've been documented throughout ancient like Egypt and stuff like that. Like the Sphinx and all that stuff like that. There those were like there was cats, like I mean and there was no veterinarians around saying Herbie: How'd they even survive in Egypt? There's nothing but sun there. Shamus: Well that's what I maybe because of the heat they just kept them inside, but like the heat they just didn't grow hair. Herbie: Maybe that's Maybe that's why they wrapped him up like mummies or some shit. Shamus: Yeah. But I mean they're di they're doc they're documented that they've been around Herbie: ⁓ dude, I I feel bad because like it's not a complete cat. I swear to God. Like they finished. It's almost like, you know, like 90% of it when they made it, and they're like, ⁓ it's good enough. Like, no, it's not. That thing's gonna die on its own. It's like I feel bad. And then there's goddamn sleepwalkers where they're sucking the like life force energy out of virgins and shit. ⁓ don't watch sleepwalkers and and have a Sphinx cat in your house, dude. It's it's crazy. ⁓ these beers are good. Shamus: Anyway. I can't stand one of my pet peeves is when people touch me. Especially when people I I can't stand when people I know touch me. Yeah. But when people you don't know, like, hey fella, how are you? When they like they they put their like their hand on your shoulder or something and they do that little shuffle, like, what's up, buddy? And you're just kinda like, get off me. Who the fuck are you? I can't stand that. Or like somebody walks up and they put their arm around you and you don't know who they are, they're like, Hey, are you here for the like especially it happens at weddings all the time. Hey man, are you here for the party? And I'm like, Yeah. Are you? You're not gonna make this party if you don't get off me. Get off me. Yeah. Herbie: Who walked? Who are you? Well, that's you know, like the pep, you know, for me it's I I feel the same way because especially me being short, you got like some people that walk up and like want to put their their their arm on my shoulder like they're like I'm a fucking leaning post. Or actually used to be back in the day, like you go to the clubs and you got like the one dude wearing like the white t-shirt that was like way too tight. He's got his arms out, he's like he's walking through crowd and he's like, excuse me, chief, move out the way, chief. And then they touch you. Shamus: I can't stand that. Herbie: I hate that shit too. Like don't talk about a car accident on when they go home. Shamus: I can't stand what people I know touch me. Yeah. Especially when I'm like upset, angry, or excited or something like that. Don't that yeah. But like if I'm just standing there and some fucking it's usually some older guy who thinks he's the coolest guy in the room or something like that, you know, somebody's grandfather's like, hey, how you doing? Everybody, what's up, buddy? And they grab you and you're just like, get off me. Herbie: Be like, unhand me, Paw Paw. Shamus: That and the the piggyback off of that and I know Seinfeld did that, but I cannot stand people in my personal space. ⁓ Yeah. ⁓ usually if it's in anger or something, they get that closer. I mean, we're going. It's just way to but when I'm just talking to somebody and you're just like, ⁓ really? And they're just and you're just kinda like Herbie: Yeah. Bubble breakers. I call ⁓ bubble breakers. Shamus: Because I first of all I cannot stand I don't give a shit if you got breath mincer or not. I cannot stand smelling other people's breath, whether it's good or not. Like to me that you're way too close. Yeah. But secondly, when you're that close to me, I'm just like, dude. Yeah, you're like, get away. Like now you're in my personal space. Like now I don't have I try to keep everybody at arm's length. That's one thing I've always tried. And like now you're in my Herbie: I feel the same way, dude. Shamus: Now you're inside. Yeah. You know what I mean? Like you're in that spot where if I have breakers. If I have to throw a punch, now you're inside. Like I can't so I was just kinda like, man, get the fuck. And I so then you take a little step back or you slide to the left or something. And they're just like, Hey man, they still follow you. And you're just like, dude. So after a while I'm always like, Hey my man, or if it's chick, depending on what she looks like, but it's usually dude. And I'm like, Hey my man, you need to take a step. Like, can you do me a favor? Herbie: You gotta do like that quit. You try to get like you. Shamus: Back up my man, back up, and we're good. Herbie: Put yourself in between an object to actually kinda Ain't that ain't that loud. Yeah, dude. Yeah, 'cause actually I had like a couple of things like that where a pet well not really a pet peeve, but like there I had a friend of mine that was, you know, a a bubble breaker, had a lazy eye. So I just felt bad because it would break the bubble, to be all in your face, and you had it like that awkward two seconds of which eye you gotta look into in order to finish the conversation. And it's like it's just like you're you're darting back and forth to see which one you can actually look at to finish the conversation or tell them to back away while they're like right here in front of your face. I feel bad about that. I do. I feel bad, but it's it's just it's bubble breakers are a bet pet peeve. I it's just Shamus: Me. Me and a coworker guy could not stand. We're getting ready. I mean, we were in uniform the whole nine and we were getting ready to go. I we're going back and forth. Fuck you, whoop your rat. And we had this sergeant, and I'm not gonna mention any names. ⁓ he was a good dude, good sergeant, and all that stuff, but he had the the wall I the Marty film. He came up and walked like right up next to us, like if Herbie: The gecko wise. Shamus: We were face to face. He still like right to our left to his right. Yeah. And he just he never mentioned names. He just ripped us. ⁓ Fucking You're wrong. And he walked away. And we were both looked at each other and I was like, Is he talking to me or you, dude? He was like, I don't know. And I was like, Go fuck yourself. I'll meet you in the park a lot after work. We were like Like he just ripped like But he specifically called one of us out. We just and he didn't mention like hey McKnight or hey whatever. He was just kinda like chewed one of us out and he was looking at both us. I don't even know who was talking to. Herbie: It's kinda like Bobby Boucher's dad, you know, he's like when he's like with the w eyes all over the place. Yeah. It's like the goose. Shamus: It's also the same guy when he gave him paperwork. He was always like He held it to the left side of his face and he held it like Herbie: But it's just like yeah, but like what do you do? Like how what's the proper etiquette? Like you act like you don't you don't notice and stuff. Shamus: He was a I it's like I said, he was a great sergeant. I I did ⁓ i former MP. ⁓ Herbie: I hope it wasn't a sniper. Definitely it wasn't gonna be an advantage. Shamus: Like you know me. Like the first time I saw that I'm like, Hey sorry, you sniffing at ink or like what the fuck is going on? It's black ink, dude, it's not blue. Yeah. You don't have to taste it. It's not the old Herbie: Ditto paper from school and so where you can sniff the ditto paper. Shamus: ⁓ I see we got a comedian here. I was like, you realize I have an eye condition. And I like, Yeah, I'm over here, dude. But I'm he was a great dude. I I it's like I said, ⁓ I I'm sure he's not listening. He moved way up north. ⁓ but yeah, he was a good dude, but man. Herbie: I feel bad, but it's like yeah, it's just like it you just you feel like an asshole either way. Cause you're still trying to like figure out what eye to look into. Shamus: Yeah. And he was a close talker too. Because of that he was a close talker. ⁓ So And he smoked cigarettes. And that's another thing. He smokes cigarettes and drink coffee and I can't stand that breath. I was But I mean, super nice guy, but I was just kinda hey man. Back up a little bit. Herbie: It was a bubble, so he was Yeah. Got the googly cookie monster eyes and shit. ⁓ gotcha. Shamus: Yeah, I can't stand close to I can't stay and like I said, I don't care. You could just brush your teeth and chew nine pieces of big red. If I feel the heat from your breath, it fucks me up. I can't get away with me. Back up. Back up. You can have jalapecia, you can have I mean whatever that shit is where you have bad breath all the time, halitosis, whatever. Yeah. And yeah. ⁓ Herbie: Different type of heat too, man. He said alopecia. Alpacapisha Shamus: I th my one buddy had halitosis where it just if you're not taking the medication for it, yeah. It's nothing he's not doing like he's brushing his teeth and all that stuff. It's just something in your stomach that just kicks out this odor. And if you don't take medication, it didn't matter if he was breathing on me or if like I said, somebody brushed their teeth and ate ten pieces of gum. If I feel ⁓ your breath only, get away from me. Yeah. I cannot stand that. Herbie: Well I still I still to this day I still don't like people that smell like crock pot soup. I don't trust them. I'm telling you. People are like, what the hell is that? I'm like, trust me. Shamus: I won't leave my house. ⁓ speaking when I used to smoke, ⁓ I didn't give a shit if I was drinking, but after I quit smoking, I started drinking coffee. My doctor told me I needed caffeine. So I won't leave this house until I get up. First thing I do is drink coffee and then brush my teeth and then get because I hate coffee breath, dude. ⁓ that's Herbie: Yeah. A lot of times I try to do that like after work. Like I'll you know, I'll have like a cup of coffee but have some gum afterwards and stuff. Yeah, I mean it's just like kinda get like that taste out 'cause you can kind of feel it. It's like ⁓ Shamus: Hate people that go to the gym and don't wash the goddamn gym and they wear the same shit for like three or four days straight. Herbie: That's the and like the socks can stand up by themselves. Where like the ones that really, really sweat like a lot and then they don't wipe down the equipment. Shamus: Yeah. Well, there's a lot of there. I mean, we could do a whole episode on the gym. ⁓ there's a c there's this one guy in particular. Nice dude. ⁓ I don't talk at the gym. That's one thing I don't do when I put headphones on, man. I don't make friends at the gym. If I know you, like ⁓ a lady friend of mine from work at the state, she lives up the street. ⁓ she goes to the gym. So if I see her, I'll wave and we'll talk for a couple minutes. But I do not talk at the gym. But like every once in a while you and it goes both ways. Yeah. He'll walk by me and I'm like Like on Monday he's fine, but Thursday he's wearing the same ship. Yeah. You can see like the salt deposit like stains around. And you're just kinda like, dude, come on, man. And like I walk by and like there's times like if he's working on the bench next to me or doing something, I have to get up Yeah towards the end of the week. ⁓ in the same sense you've got them older people that come in and they're desked down with like the cheapest like Elizabeth Taylor diamonds at Walmart, like that fucking cheap. Herbie: Yeah. Shamus: perfume and they come in they're doused in with it and you're just kind of like, ⁓ my god. Yeah. You can't breathe and ⁓ it's just so bad. ⁓ my God. I was like, I'm where's that stinking dude at? Like I'll go hang out with that guy. Herbie: It makes sense though, because like when you go to the gym, you don't really want like you don't want to really talk too much because you you guys are there to work out, you know? And ⁓ I used to get like that when I used to go to the gym way back in the day. Shamus: That's another pet peeve I have because some of us are in there just to get it done. And yeah, listen, I'm not that grumpy dude. I goddamn kid. But like there's something about the kids in Medford in this area that just go to the gym and hang out. Like and I'm not talking like two or three dudes just hanging out, like talking, like, ⁓ we'll do a couple reps and then we'll just talk. We're talking like eight, nine dudes at a time just hanging out and then like God forbid if there's one or two Like attractive looking women in that place. They follow them around or they're all now they're looking in the mirror and they're trying to flex and they're trying to get her a 10. I'm just like bro. Man, get the fuck. And I do shit that really like lets them know like I'm not here for this dude. Like the one like 185 on the bench and he was like and then he got up and he's all you know, just like, hey man, you done with this? And he was like, Yeah, and I just curled it. Herbie: We wouldn't only put the weights away either. You know what I mean? Shamus: They just looked and I was just like and gave him that look like fucking beat it. Yeah. I can't, I can't say, or they want to wrestle with each other, you know, because there's girls around and shit. And like I did all that shit when I was a kid, but I didn't do it at the gym. Like, come on, man. Get out of I can they're in the locker rooms with their phone and they're posing and all that shit. I mean, don't do it on the gym floor and stuff, but like, dude, my locker locker room. Herbie: Yeah, no is you Shamus: Yeah, don't yeah, my locker's here, man. Get the fuck out of the way. Yeah. I'm I'm definitely I w I think my thing's up in October. You saw the gym I'm building here. Yeah. I'm pretty much done. I can't stand people anymore. I will miss some of them girls in here, though. That is a pro. Herbie: I'm not a big fan of stuff like that either. We'll just yeah, but you know, it's like you're right though. With people the way they use their phones and stuff now, it's just they they're they want to be the center of attention but no one in the background. And you're going in public places. You know? Even though like I saw like a one video of like the girl who went to like a I forget like a concert or something like that. And it's always like that video of of like not her videoing herself, like someone else videoing her, and she's like walking all glamorously through like the crowd and she's getting pissed off because they're in her shot. I'm like, bitch, you were in a concert with thousands of people. You're not gonna you know ⁓ just ⁓ Shamus: There's one guy, and we're gonna give him a shout out. ⁓ his name's Joey Swole. He has an Instagram or thing, and he calls all them people out, man. Like at the gym. Yeah. Like one guy was doing a and I I'll I'm telling you right now, I'll go to jail. This one guy had his phone out and he was doing leg raises or something. And a guy just went was walking by, like in between, and he stuck his leg out and kicked the dude. Bro, we'd have been fighting. That guy was like, Yo, what's your deal? And he was like, You're in my shot, blah, blah, blah. And So I guess this guy Joey Swole finds like when you submit a video to him, he's like, What's the name of Jim? And he calls it Jim and he was like, Yo, I'm putting this shit online. You can't let this shit and then they get rid of these people. So and he's got like a huge following. But I'm not sending you a video, Joey Swole. If somebody kicks me when I walk by, yo, I'm not even he's not even gonna get a chance to respond. 'Cause as he's coming up, I'm just Yeah the fuck out of here. ⁓ my god. Herbie: Yeah, I'm not a big fan of that. I I just that's why I know the reason why like I guess like being older, like this the goddamn phones just kind of ruins it for a lot of lot of people because they now they gotta be like the center of attention or they're an influencer. Yeah, for me, like especially like an in I'm an influencer. I'm a I'm a food blog. I posted your your restaurants, you know, I should eat for free. I'm like, no, man. Just ⁓ I just don't like it's just very selfish and self centered and very Shamus: That's a huge pet peeve. Yeah. Herbie: It's like, you know, vain. Like vanity is just running amok with these with these phones and stuff. Because people are just not just not really good people and they have this opportunity to be like ⁓ the center of attention. And it's just like it just makes me just not want to be around people like that. Shamus: ⁓ make no mistake about it. I'm not the toughest guy in the world. And most of the time I I lost more fights than I ever won. That's why I look the way I do. I used to be a lot better looking. But like these people piss me off to that point where it's like I said, if some chick was doing that, and she'd be like, ⁓ and start ripping. I'm like, yo, is your boyfriend here? Yeah. Yeah, go get him. Because I can't punch you, but I'm gonna fuck this. And he's probably like some fucking 300 pound gorilla bench pressing 600 pounds. And when he comes around the quarter, I'm like, shit. I'm still gonna be like, yo. Herbie: ⁓ don't worry, man. Just like- Or just or if anything like that happens again, she just like ball me up and ⁓ just throw me at him and I'll just come at him like a spider monkey. Just give him a quick hit my. Shamus: Just start biting his ankles and shit and beat up his kneecaps. Herbie: Yeah, definitely, dude. Shamus: Yeah, that that that the gym is just full of pet peeves. Yeah. Because I'm the guy, like you said, I wipe down my equipment. I always put my stuff back. ⁓ when I'm in the locker room, I try not to take up too much time. Yeah. Because other people want to use the benches or whatever to in there. And then when I'm leaving, I always hold the door open for people if they're behind me or that's another thing. And I'm not expecting it, but if I hold the door open, don't be on your phone and just walk by me and not say hey thanks or something like that. I'm like Yeah. Herbie: I don't blame you, 'cause like it's like it's just common decency, common courtesy, and just overall common respect. And only that just have like the type of respect for like your your your environment. You know what I mean? Like say for example, like, you know, like ⁓ like at buffets, you got people like just leaning in there and just being doing like coughing over shit or just like just touching shit. I'm like, don't be disgusting, man. Because you got people that are actually they're they're they're so picky about eating food out And they're not like, ⁓ well I think that's nasty and I'm like, Okay, well I'm sure the way you eat at home you're probably eating out of a goddamn trough. So it can go either way. They could be really dirty. like wow but this this but Olive Garden's breadsticks are nasty. I'm like sh shut fuck but like people that just like abuse like the you know the buffets and stuff like that or you know as soon as like Shamus: Crack bottom soup we're eating tonight, Mom. You mean like stuff like that? Because I'll tell you what, man, I bring some pain to buffets, bro. But I'm like I'm sanitary about it, but man, I listen, I'll probably and I know well Walker I'm I'm gonna mention names because I know they don't live. I think Walker's in Georgia, O'Neal's in Colorado, and Boone's in Herbie: Well yeah. Don't be dirty about it. Disgusting. Shamus: North Carolina? Yeah. I haven't talked to these guys in 20 years. We were in the military together. And the three of them could have been the starting left hand side of any NFL football team when we were in the military. Yeah. And I was just a dude who could eat. We we literally, and this is no bullshit. And if I can find a way to prove we got thrown out of a buffet because we ate too much. We bring we bring the noise, bro. Herbie: Yeah. Yeah. Well as long as you like that's another thing I don't like too. Like people that waste food, like they get a bunch of food and they waste it. ⁓ Shamus: ⁓ no, not us. Not well I was raised to clean my plate so Herbie: It's just ⁓ like th you know, like there's plenty of stuff there to eat. Just like just eat what you want and then just come back and get some more. Shamus: Bro, we were in there one time. It was a buffet in Georgia. See, no, I never do that. I can't I can't do that at a buffet. But we were in, it was like the okay, ⁓ what was it called? The golden crown or something like that. It was there was one in Georgia, and the Miss Georgia pageant had stopped there for lunch. So, like, all these girls are getting off the bus and like there's our fat ass. And we're just like I'm at the buffet with this plate that's just like six and seven inches high. Just like, hey, what's up? Herbie: People that take all the goddamn crab legs. All right. Barbecue sauce like Shamus: In your mouth. One girl's like, Boy, you sure do look hungry. Yeah, man. We didn't care. Like, we watched them all go by. We're yeah, no crowd like we're here for the food. We don't and that guy came out, like, yo, y'all eat what you guys have been here for like an hour and a half, non-stop. You got it. Back then it was like 15 bucks. He was like, Yeah. You guys got your 15. Get out. Herbie: ⁓ he was like big boy. Just tear yeah, that kinda sounds like Yeah, you definitely got your fifteen. I happen to those a couple times there were a couple of Chinese buffets and stuff, like around in like the Mount Holly area. There used be one. ⁓ yeah. ⁓ yeah, I love that one. But also there was used to be one right next to ⁓ in Mount Holly where it used to be the Ponderosa. Remember? Love that place. And then after that there was a Chinese buffet that opened up there, dude. We just like wreck shop on ⁓ yeah, dude, that's fine. Shamus: There's one right near Harbor Freight. We gotta hit a buffet too. All right, I know this is gonna piss you off and probably piss off Andy and I don't know, I'm not sure about Dana but Jason and stuff like that. Another PP pet peeva I have is as a Philadelphia fan, I am so sick of the world like, ⁓ you're an Eagles fan, you guys are horrible. You know, you guys threw snowballs to Santa Claus. And then you see the shit that just happened with the Knicks. Yeah. And then you see you know, and other teams, it's not just the Knicks, like other people ride so and we're just we had a a Super Bowl parade back in two thousand seventeen. I think like six people out of four million people there got arrested. Herbie: Yeah. No, I agree with that. I'm not a big fan. Shamus: No property damage, da da da and Eagles fans and Philadelphia fans are still fucking scumbags. I mean That is a huge pet peeve Herbie: Yeah, but there are some women and children that get affected at those games if you're not wearing a green jersey. But you're right though. Shamus: And and listen, don't get me wrong. Veterans Stadium days was like the Roman Coliseum. No, yeah. Like we would eat our own. Like everybody it it didn't matter, bro. once Lincoln Financial came in, they started doing Citizens Bank Park and then they started making, you know, they got Excity Live down there, they went to Wells Fargo. Now they're re they're building a new facility for the Sixers and the Flyers and all that stuff. They've really kind of cracked I mean, somebody shot a flare gun on Monday Night Football. Herbie: Ha ha Shamus: And one section to another section and stuff. They had that the judge, ⁓ Seamus McCaffrey and the basement of the vet. And when word got out about that, the city of Philadelphia and all the organizations, like, we gotta stop it. So it has ri in the last 30 years, it's really calmed down. Yeah. ⁓ we don't riot, we don't do any of that stuff. Yeah, we might heckle you and there's still assholes out there. I get that. There's still assholes in Philadelphia. ⁓ but man, yeah, I am so tired of that old rhetoric. When you see like What the the Knicks fans were doing, I was just kind of like, You gotta be shit me, Sixers fans would not and I don't care what anybody ⁓ well the Sixers will never win or da da da. If the Sixers were to win next season, that shit is not happening in Philadelphia. Herbie: Like you no, I I know what you mean though, man. Even like back in the day, remember when you guys like, ⁓ man, you come to the Eagles game, well I'm like, dude, there's no way I'm gonna have a good time there. But you're right though. I do not agree with what ⁓ a lot of those Knicks fans did. It's just like it almost seems like not just a mix of Knicks fans, 'cause like they were beating people up and taking their jerseys. I'm like, bro, don't do like just that whole idea that people do that stuff in st at other stadiums. I'm just like, just don't do that. Shamus: Well, you what it is? It's in Philadelphia we are so 'cause make no mistake about it. W we have people, you know, transplants and stuff who like other teams. Yeah. But Philadelphia is blue collar and so is New York City. But New York City is more of a Yeah, like when you're from Philadelphia, you're from Philadelphia. And like New York has like a bunch of and I'm not saying this in a bad way, negative like immigrants and stuff like that. Like most people don't really give Yeah. Herbie: Metropolitan area. Shamus: Too much about sports because like New York City Well the Yankees is a national internet. They're probably the most famous brand in all the world next to, and I hate to say it, the Dallas Cowboys. ⁓ but like I said, like we live and die for our sports. Yeah. And I would like to think because we're smaller than New York City and all that stuff, it's more of a condensed it's like a small town feeling kind of deal. So like we love our sports teams, we love the players. And if we hate if you don't play hard, we hate you. ⁓ yeah. So it's not like just Herbie: Yankees. Shamus: Like in New York City was like, I don't even watch basketball, but the Knicks are going, let's just go down there and fuck shit up. Yeah, down there. And that's what it is. And like LA's the same way. Like when the Lakers won, they had all that shit going on a couple years ago. Because people were like, I don't give a shit about basketball. But we can go down there, right, get a free TV or burn up a school bus and shit, and it'll be cool. We'll put it on fucking Facebook. Philadelphia is more based on this is our team, our city, and we're not gonna fuck this up because we actually watch these teams. You know what I mean? Like so Herbie: that shit. Right. I've always been like into the ⁓ like sportsmanship of it's Shamus: Nick suck anyway. Them dudes came from Villanova. They came from Philadelphia. Herbie: I that's that I said before, man. I gotta thank Villanova and Wu-Tang clan, man, because yeah, helding it down. Shamus: And of course they forgot where they came from because the one dude was just like, Man, I thought Philadelphia had more fans than Burr. No, it was the other Listen, that guy's a problem. Yeah. Because they don't know how to Villanob preached all that old school basketball shit. He's an old school player. He's a throwback. And they don't know how to handle him. You're right. I mean, they'll figure on they'll catch on to it eventually. ⁓ he's he's probably gonna be hopefully a hall of famer. Herbie: Brunson wears a goddamn Eagle shirt? I'm just saying like Brunson though, he's Just fundamental. Yeah, but the way he even plays too though, man, he could be under duress and that's that he's still hitting buckets. Like got b Shamus: Another pet peeve I have is yeah LeBron's way better than Jordan. ⁓ Herbie: Yeah, I know. That that that that discussion completely Shamus: He's not even in the top five. What do you mean? I'm like, listen, it's Jordan and one B might be Kobe. Yeah. If he doesn't get hurt, Penny's in that conversation. Yeah. Larry Bird, it was a nast, nasty and then you got Magic Johnson. Yep. So where does LeBron fit in? Herbie: Isaiah Thomas. Shamus: And and not to mention that LeBron's not even surviving playing the error that Herbie: No dude. He'd be too b like he it's almost like he's like daytime soap active. Every time he just like that floppin' shit just ⁓ that's my it's just drives me nuts, man. Shamus: Yeah. Now make no mistake, he was a big boy. He's a big boy, but he was he's not stop it everybody. He's not Jordan. He's not in the top five. No. Herbie: Nope. I know people are gonna be you know, fuck all that like no. Shamus: I'm not even talking centers. I'm not talking Abdul Jabbar. I'm not talking Shaq. I'm talking like just forwards of guard. He's not even in the top five. Yeah. Herbie: I agree, man. I agree. 'Cause like that flopping stuff is just like ⁓ maybe best actor in the NBA. Shamus: And the minute he retires, yeah, his son's career's over too, 'cause that guy sucks. Herbie: He's like see them at the Espies like, and the world goes to best acting in drama. LeBron James. Shamus: That's why I hate soccer so much because I you go to slide tackle, you're not even five feet, and that guy just falls over. He's a crowd's tackle, yeah. I'm like, come on. Yeah. Me and my brother went out to dinner with my nephew before he left on ⁓ Saturday, because this is coming out Thursday. ⁓ so it was last night, and we were it was on the TV at the diner. Shout out to the Pandora Diner up on 206. That place is ridiculous, bro. The food they give you Herbie: And gets back up and walks off like ⁓ come back. ⁓ my god. Shamus: I got a chicken croquette that came out looked like a dinosaur egg. I was like, what the f and I got two of them. I was like, like when you were a kid, they were like size of baseballs. This thing was like like an e like an evil egg size. Herbie: That's all they maybe. Shamus: Big shout out to the Pandora Diner. ⁓ there's four of them. If you guys get a chance, check it out because you're paying twenty dollars for about three days worth of food. Yeah. ⁓ we were watching a f and I was You following any of this? And my brother, me and my brother have that same mindset. And he was like, No, I don't like girl sports. And I was like, Yeah, me I was like, I, you know, it's once in a life, but my brother's like, they flop all the fucking time. They they yell and scream, and then they hold up some kind of card. I don't know what the fuck is going on. And I was Yeah, me either. So Herbie: Ha ha ha. Shamus: But yeah, flopping, ⁓ the Jordan thing, Jordan's the goat, get over it, people. Yeah. ⁓ slow walkers, fucking hairless cats. Yeah. ⁓ dumb questions, cauliflower, it all pet peeves and they all suck. And breaking up with your boyfriend on text messaging after you told them you shouldn't text message and break up with people. Pet peeve. Herbie: I'm shamus. Shamus: And let me tell you, I hope a lot of like one of my other lady friends was like, ⁓ you're single now? It make no mistake about it, I am done. Another pet peeve I have is I have no idea what women want anymore. None. Yeah. Zero Nathan nada. So it's nothing but professionals and cold showers from here on out. Herbie: ⁓ no, I like they torture. I gotta find a way, man. Yeah, that's true. That's true. That's true. ⁓ that's the professional part. ⁓ my god. Shamus: That's the professional part of that. All right, we're gonna wrap this up. All right, everybody. If you like what you heard, or please, if you have a pet peeve. Yeah. And I hope it's not the show. Yeah. Please let us know in our mailbox. It's still not set up, so hit me off. The summer just started. ⁓ the first week was hectic. I will get that up and running probably tomorrow. ⁓ hit us up on our ⁓ Instagram, Facebook. Even if you got something for Herbie. If you're one of Herbie's people that listen, hit him up. He'll send it to me. Yeah. And ⁓ Herbie: Did you Shamus: We have to do mailbag next week or the next episode. ⁓ if we don't have a guest on on Monday, we'll do mailbag stuff. ⁓ if not we'll push it to Thursday. Herbie: You know, the the listeners, thanks for listening to our rants. You know, hopefully, you know hopefully no one was upset about it, but like we're, you know, just having fun. Shamus: I got a feeling gauging the temperature of our crew that I've seen on a lot of those guys are like fuck, right? And girls are just She shouldn't have broke up with you on a text message or slow walkers suck. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah, if you get a chance, man, tell them cyclists they suck. Yeah. Herbie: Okay, you're right. So thanks for listening everybody. Like it's like Seamus said, just like, you know, write right in, let us know. And ⁓ thanks for listening, man. Hope you guys had a good time again. Shamus: And to give you quick update on the thing, Herbie's laid w like witness to some of the stuff, the construction stuff going on with the studio. Yes. ⁓ we made some more decisions today. ⁓ it's currently under construction. Yeah. Yeah, it's getting there. So ⁓ all the video equipment's here. The stage and the backdrop and all that stuff is being made. The ⁓ this the interview desk and all that stuff is Yeah. Yeah, so we're getting there. So about another week or two.
