- 0:02Speaker 1: This is an Unspoiled Network podcast.
- 0:07Speaker 2: This is spoil Me, covering one Piece episodes eight twenty
- 0:15Speaker 2: nine through eight thirty one. Loofy engages in a secret maneuver,
- 0:21Speaker 2: The wedding full of conspiracies starts, soon, the family gets together,
- 0:26Speaker 2: the hellish tea party starts, and the broken couple Songy
- 0:32Speaker 2: and Pudding enter. In these episodes, we are just starting
- 0:39Speaker 2: to do our table setting here for everything that is
- 0:42Speaker 2: about to come. But I have got to be honest,
- 0:45Speaker 2: you guys, it's taking a little too long to get
- 0:49Speaker 2: around to doing something. We gotta we gotta just fucking start,
- 0:54Speaker 2: can't we just start?
- 0:57Speaker 1: Welcome to spoil Me.
- 1:17Speaker 2: Welcome to the show everyone. I am Natasha. Thank you
- 1:21Speaker 2: very much to Florian for commissioning this episode.
- 1:27Speaker 1: Yeah, I like, look, I'm gonna be honest with you guys.
- 1:31Speaker 1: I have been really enjoying this.
- 1:33Speaker 2: Arc so far, y'all know that. But this trio of
- 1:36Speaker 2: episodes was very much not it. It's funny because I
- 1:40Speaker 2: had just been saying how it feels like Oda has
- 1:43Speaker 2: figured out a nice balance for showing us a bunch
- 1:46Speaker 2: of characters, and like he has figured out how to
- 1:50Speaker 2: drop everything into the story in a way that's like
- 1:55Speaker 2: easier to comprehend than just front loading everybody at once.
- 2:00Speaker 1: Little did I know.
- 2:02Speaker 2: That there are going to be even more people showing
- 2:05Speaker 2: up than we had already seen. I don't know about y'all,
- 2:09Speaker 2: but we don't need more characters in the mix here.
- 2:13Speaker 2: We just don't need it. It's so overpacked as it
- 2:16Speaker 2: is that I'm genuinely startled at the fact that we're
- 2:21Speaker 2: doing this, that we have like another whole crew that
- 2:25Speaker 2: comes in.
- 2:25Speaker 1: It's just weird, and you know, I feel like.
- 2:32Speaker 2: It feels like we're starting to get into a kind
- 2:39Speaker 2: of ratio where it feels more like Marine Ford.
- 2:44Speaker 1: You know.
- 2:44Speaker 2: I don't think that I was anticipating just how intense
- 2:53Speaker 2: everything here was going to get regarding they were all
- 3:01Speaker 2: battle because I am picturing it as We've got all
- 3:04Speaker 2: the people that are here for the wedding that are
- 3:06Speaker 2: like part of the family, either Big Mom's family or
- 3:10Speaker 2: Sanji's family, and that's already a pretty big crew because
- 3:14Speaker 2: Big Mom has all these husbands and so all these kids,
- 3:18Speaker 2: and then just the people who are like cohorts of hers,
- 3:22Speaker 2: and many of them are also family.
- 3:26Speaker 1: So in my mind.
- 3:30Speaker 2: That was already just like a good two hundred people
- 3:35Speaker 2: at least, and it never occurred to me that there
- 3:40Speaker 2: were people who still hadn't even shown up. So we're
- 3:45Speaker 2: now getting into a level of like new people, new abilities,
- 3:52Speaker 2: new names coming into the mix, and I don't know
- 3:57Speaker 2: how I am going to be able to keep all
- 3:59Speaker 2: of it straight. I'm probably going to need to like
- 4:02Speaker 2: use the wiki, which I don't like to do because
- 4:05Speaker 2: occasionally it can like very vaguely spoil it really is
- 4:09Speaker 2: pretty good. I can see that they put in effort
- 4:12Speaker 2: to not do that, but there are times where it's
- 4:16Speaker 2: just sort of sneaks in there.
- 4:18Speaker 1: You know.
- 4:18Speaker 2: It's like any wiki where there's a bunch of people
- 4:20Speaker 2: working on it and assembling it, so you've just you're
- 4:24Speaker 2: doing the best you can, but it's not perfect. And
- 4:29Speaker 2: I just I don't know how many of these people
- 4:34Speaker 2: are going to matter right away, how many of these
- 4:37Speaker 2: names I really need to keep in mind, or how
- 4:39Speaker 2: many of them are going to you know, And I
- 4:43Speaker 2: also have to be honest y'all that like, I'm concerned
- 4:46Speaker 2: about it on another level as well, where more than
- 4:50Speaker 2: just whether or not I personally can keep everybody straight,
- 4:54Speaker 2: there's also like, now we have so many different baddies
- 4:57Speaker 2: that we may have to defeat that it was already
- 5:04Speaker 2: a booked lineup as far as I was concerned, And
- 5:11Speaker 2: now I cannot imagine how we are going to not
- 5:18Speaker 2: overstretch this arc in a way that's going to get
- 5:22Speaker 2: really tedious really quickly. You know, It's just such a
- 5:26Speaker 2: fine balance and it can be done, I guess, but
- 5:33Speaker 2: I feel like it was already going to be difficult
- 5:36Speaker 2: to pull off with a number of people we already had.
- 5:39Speaker 2: I was like at a point where I felt pretty
- 5:41Speaker 2: good about it, but I was sort of like reteetering.
- 5:45Speaker 1: Now that we have thrown all of.
- 5:47Speaker 2: These other folks into the mix, I am officially on
- 5:49Speaker 2: the side of like, I don't think this is.
- 5:51Speaker 1: Going to be good. I'm worried.
- 5:55Speaker 2: I'm feeling like he's bitten off more than he can
- 5:58Speaker 2: chew here in a way, it's going to drag on forever.
- 6:03Speaker 2: And you know, this has been repeatedly something that has
- 6:09Speaker 2: happened with this show, where a new arc really captures
- 6:12Speaker 2: my fancy and I'm super into it and it feels
- 6:15Speaker 2: like we're getting reveals and interesting backstory and stuff at
- 6:21Speaker 2: a pretty good clip, and then all of a sudden
- 6:26Speaker 2: we hit the brakes and it all it's like the
- 6:30Speaker 2: same three or four episodes repeated over and over again
- 6:35Speaker 2: for like thirty episodes in a row. So I don't like,
- 6:42Speaker 2: I'm trying to decide exactly how to say this, because
- 6:46Speaker 2: I feel like that's how I have felt about even
- 6:51Speaker 2: the arcs that I have mostly liked, is that they
- 6:54Speaker 2: just dragged on too far at the end. You know,
- 6:57Speaker 2: I actually like Dress Rosa, but the end just takes
- 7:01Speaker 2: forever and a thriller Bark is another one that's like
- 7:04Speaker 2: a particular favorite of mine, and you guys know how
- 7:07Speaker 2: I felt out about that. So I just want this
- 7:11Speaker 2: show to ever like nail the ending of an arc.
- 7:18Speaker 2: I want that for them. I'm rooting for them, and
- 7:23Speaker 2: there's a real feeling for me of like maybe that's
- 7:28Speaker 2: just never gonna happen. I'm on episode eight hundred and thirty,
- 7:33Speaker 2: like maybe this is just how it's gonna be every time.
- 7:38Speaker 2: I don't want to believe that. And I'm not trying
- 7:41Speaker 2: to be negative overall about the show, because you guys
- 7:45Speaker 2: know that I have a great time covering this, But
- 7:50Speaker 2: is there any arc that it doesn't feel like the
- 7:55Speaker 2: same thing happens toward the end as well, where and
- 8:00Speaker 2: I'm saying toward the end, where like there's an optimism
- 8:05Speaker 2: in me saying that to begin with, because this isn't
- 8:08Speaker 2: toward the end, I would hazardou guess based on the
- 8:12Speaker 2: way things are being talked about that actually this is
- 8:17Speaker 2: toward the middle where it's feeling like we should be
- 8:22Speaker 2: on our way. If I were watching this as a
- 8:24Speaker 2: regularly paced show, all of this stuff that's happening here,
- 8:30Speaker 2: this would be out of a ten episode season. This
- 8:34Speaker 2: would all be happening in episode eight, and the next
- 8:38Speaker 2: episode from here would be the battle, and it would
- 8:42Speaker 2: last an episode and then we would go into wrap
- 8:46Speaker 2: up for the next season. Obviously, there's like there's I'm
- 8:51Speaker 2: saying this as just like an example. I understand that
- 8:53Speaker 2: there's really no point in even making that comparison because
- 8:57Speaker 2: the way the show is stretched out, like it's just
- 8:59Speaker 2: there's no way.
- 9:01Speaker 1: There's no way.
- 9:03Speaker 2: But all I'm saying is that the way that I
- 9:07Speaker 2: think about the story unfolding, my brain can sort of
- 9:11Speaker 2: be locked in that thinking. And so you will catch
- 9:16Speaker 2: me saying things like towards the end of the arc,
- 9:20Speaker 2: when if I really stop and.
- 9:21Speaker 1: Think about it. I good and god damn, well, no,
- 9:23Speaker 1: this is not toward the end. That's not it at all.
- 9:27Speaker 2: I just thought that, and now I'm getting signals that's
- 9:29Speaker 2: not where we are, and I'm beginning to get worried
- 9:32Speaker 2: about it, you know. So all this to say, I
- 9:38Speaker 2: just really I want to be wrong, and I was
- 9:46Speaker 2: feeling very very good about everything pretty much until this
- 9:51Speaker 2: trio of episodes. And we'll see, because if I'm wrong,
- 9:58Speaker 2: nobody will be happier about it. There are things I
- 10:01Speaker 2: don't want to be right about.
- 10:02Speaker 1: We'll get there. Okay, So.
- 10:05Speaker 2: Let's start with Lufy engages in a secret maneuver. Now
- 10:11Speaker 2: we don't actually find out much about what this maneuver
- 10:15Speaker 2: is going to entail, but I will say, at the
- 10:19Speaker 2: very least my idea earlier about the fact that Lufy
- 10:24Speaker 2: is unlikely to follow the plan that he and Beije
- 10:32Speaker 2: undertook to set up. I feel like, yeah, this is
- 10:38Speaker 2: like gonna be a real He says something at one
- 10:41Speaker 2: point about planning for his funny entrance, and rightfully, BEGGI
- 10:48Speaker 2: is like, wait, what does that mean?
- 10:52Speaker 1: Why funny? You don't have to be funny? What are
- 10:54Speaker 1: you doing?
- 10:56Speaker 2: And the way that Lufy is like running in and
- 10:59Speaker 2: out of Beggi's body as well.
- 11:02Speaker 1: It is all.
- 11:03Speaker 2: Very much giving. Loofy doesn't understand the stakes right now.
- 11:08Speaker 2: There's just a sense of like he doesn't get it,
- 11:11Speaker 2: and it's it's a little bit like surprising to me
- 11:19Speaker 2: how much we wildly swing back and forth with him
- 11:25Speaker 2: where And I'm not even saying that this is like
- 11:28Speaker 2: not true to character, because I actually think it is.
- 11:32Speaker 2: But I just have to reflect on the fact that,
- 11:34Speaker 2: you know, he is all like I'm saving my friend,
- 11:38Speaker 2: let's do this, let's see, you know, very serious, and
- 11:42Speaker 2: then this trio of episodes, it's like everything is a
- 11:44Speaker 2: complete joke to him, even though this is supposed to
- 11:47Speaker 2: be a pretty big deal. You know, it's supposed to
- 11:51Speaker 2: be pretty serious what they are about to launch, and
- 11:56Speaker 2: it's like he has totally lost touch with the gravity
- 11:59Speaker 2: of this situation. And like I said, I think this
- 12:03Speaker 2: is actually fairly in character because he is so easily
- 12:07Speaker 2: distracted that in the moment where he like looks up
- 12:12Speaker 2: and realizes this guy's body is crazy and I can
- 12:15Speaker 2: run in and out of it and do all this stuff,
- 12:17Speaker 2: he's not thinking about things rationally, you know, he's not
- 12:21Speaker 2: looking at the whole situation. He is fully and completely
- 12:27Speaker 2: oh my god, this guy's body and distracted at what's
- 12:29Speaker 2: going on right now at this very instant. And that's
- 12:32Speaker 2: as much as his little peanut brain can handle. But
- 12:36Speaker 2: it's difficult because I always wind up getting just a
- 12:42Speaker 2: little bit suckered into expecting more of him. You know,
- 12:50Speaker 2: I don't know's it's. I feel like I can't decide
- 12:57Speaker 2: if I'm annoyed at my self.
- 13:01Speaker 1: Or wishing that there was more growth with him or what.
- 13:07Speaker 1: I don't know.
- 13:08Speaker 2: I'm a part of me appreciates the consistency, and another
- 13:13Speaker 2: part of me does feel like, shouldn't we be able
- 13:16Speaker 2: to expect more from him by now? So anyway, this
- 13:23Speaker 2: first episode is like, there's very when you really look
- 13:29Speaker 2: at what's going on, there isn't that much movement in
- 13:33Speaker 2: this episode. We get a very little first. We're sort
- 13:38Speaker 2: of like wrapping up this meeting with Beggie and we're
- 13:41Speaker 2: figuring out exactly how all of this is going to work.
- 13:45Speaker 2: He says, as soon as we know that big Mom's out,
- 13:48Speaker 2: this boob is going to enter the scene, and I
- 13:52Speaker 2: love it. Caesar just says, leave it to this boobe
- 13:55Speaker 2: and then wait, what did you call me? I appreciate
- 13:59Speaker 2: Cesar every time he turns up. I just think he's fun.
- 14:02Speaker 2: I really have missed him a little bit, like you know,
- 14:08Speaker 2: and he like because the straw hats are sort of like,
- 14:12Speaker 2: why do we even have to work with this fucking dude?
- 14:14Speaker 1: He sucks? And he's like, use your brain.
- 14:17Speaker 2: Since I can fly, I'll dive onto the scene with
- 14:21Speaker 2: a mirror to create an easy escape route for everyone
- 14:25Speaker 2: courtesy of her ability, and Brulet in the background is
- 14:31Speaker 2: just like, ah shit, this, I'm gonna get fucking nailed
- 14:36Speaker 2: to the wall for letting them use me like this,
- 14:40Speaker 2: And I actually did feel for her a little bit.
- 14:42Speaker 2: Like There's another character later, the little egg Plant dude,
- 14:46Speaker 2: who similarly is just like, oh, I am about to
- 14:48Speaker 2: be in so much trouble if anybody finds out that
- 14:52Speaker 2: I like showed up or that I slipt on the
- 14:55Speaker 2: job and let Sanji get out and YadA YadA, and
- 15:01Speaker 2: I couldn't help, but like, think about what would it
- 15:07Speaker 2: be like to run an organization where everybody wasn't constantly
- 15:13Speaker 2: terrified of being in trouble? Would it be possible that
- 15:18Speaker 2: things might go better because they communicate and actually decide to, like,
- 15:24Speaker 2: you know, take responsibility for things and bring it up
- 15:28Speaker 2: when there's a problem and address it. You Know what
- 15:31Speaker 2: I'm saying, not that I know how to be that
- 15:37Speaker 2: kind of leader, because you do need people in order
- 15:40Speaker 2: to be a good leader, to be a little, if
- 15:43Speaker 2: not afraid, at least in awe of you to a point,
- 15:47Speaker 2: you know, and balancing that with being understanding enough that
- 15:55Speaker 2: they feel comfortable coming to you when something's gone wrong.
- 16:00Speaker 2: I just I don't know how you strike that balance.
- 16:05Speaker 2: And I'm all I'm saying is I don't have all
- 16:08Speaker 2: the answers, but I can't help but think about it,
- 16:13Speaker 2: because I'm sure there has to be some organization out
- 16:18Speaker 2: there that functions with that kind of like lack of toxicity.
- 16:22Speaker 2: And maybe that lack of toxicity means that they are
- 16:27Speaker 2: less famous because they actually don't become so hyper powerful
- 16:33Speaker 2: or notorious.
- 16:35Speaker 1: And that's sort of the way.
- 16:37Speaker 2: The world works in general, isn't It feels like the
- 16:39Speaker 2: people who are willing to be the most ruthless and
- 16:42Speaker 2: the most ethically compromised are the ones that get to
- 16:49Speaker 2: be famous and the people who are actually running things
- 16:53Speaker 2: in a way that's like above board and caring about
- 16:57Speaker 2: everyone involved. They don't have achieve that kind of ascension
- 17:04Speaker 2: because in order to do that, you have to compromise,
- 17:07Speaker 2: and they just don't do it anyway. Just thinking out
- 17:11Speaker 2: loud here, So the bruleet is going to be key
- 17:18Speaker 2: to this, and I'm really really worried about her. So
- 17:22Speaker 2: much of our plan is hinging on being able to
- 17:27Speaker 2: use her for a quick escape, and I am just
- 17:32Speaker 2: not sure that is going to work out for them.
- 17:38Speaker 2: I was going to say, I'm not sure that's wise,
- 17:40Speaker 2: and the truth is it's not wise. But also there's
- 17:44Speaker 2: not really another choice. They don't have a good alternative.
- 17:48Speaker 2: So I'm not even like mad at them about it,
- 17:50Speaker 2: because you're going to take advantage of the tools that
- 17:53Speaker 2: you have at your disposal, granted, and what are you
- 17:59Speaker 2: not going to factor the insane thing that Brulet can
- 18:02Speaker 2: do into your plan. You've gotta You've absolutely fucking got to.
- 18:07Speaker 1: But I just it feels like we are depending on
- 18:12Speaker 1: it so much.
- 18:13Speaker 2: And I just don't see that going well. The fact
- 18:19Speaker 2: that she is still under their control even now is
- 18:24Speaker 2: actually kind of incredible, you know, I mean this, at
- 18:32Speaker 2: this point, I really do think we have had her
- 18:37Speaker 2: in custody for longer than I would have expected if
- 18:40Speaker 2: you had asked me to predict it. Yeah, I think
- 18:47Speaker 2: that I would have said she'd have escaped at this point.
- 18:51Speaker 2: So still having a hold of her like pretty good,
- 18:56Speaker 2: pretty impressive. That said, though, I am like, how smart
- 19:04Speaker 2: is she? It's hard for me to tell, you know,
- 19:07Speaker 2: I run into this with all kinds of new characters
- 19:11Speaker 2: when they turn up, trying to get a sense of
- 19:13Speaker 2: like what do they actually accomplish?
- 19:17Speaker 1: What are their goals?
- 19:18Speaker 2: And do they get close? And Brulai, the only thing
- 19:21Speaker 2: that she was meant to do was to like distract
- 19:25Speaker 2: Loofy long enough that what's his face was able to
- 19:29Speaker 2: swoop in Cracker. I would argue she did achieve that
- 19:35Speaker 2: it was a simple.
- 19:36Speaker 1: Thing and she managed it.
- 19:40Speaker 2: But you know, then getting captured, all of this this
- 19:46Speaker 2: is pretty bad, pretty rough, and.
- 19:51Speaker 1: I can't like, she hasn't.
- 19:53Speaker 2: Really made any move to free herself or trick them
- 19:56Speaker 2: or anything. It's all been her going, no, you can't
- 19:59Speaker 2: do no, you can't do that, let me go, let
- 20:02Speaker 2: me out of here, the most ineffectual kind of like
- 20:08Speaker 2: half attempts. And I don't know, man, maybe she won't
- 20:16Speaker 2: but here's what's probably gonna happen. Actually, when I think
- 20:19Speaker 2: about it, is she's not gonna free herself. Somebody is
- 20:23Speaker 2: gonna like come in and rescue her somehow.
- 20:25Speaker 1: I bet that's probably like more likely what's going to happen.
- 20:31Speaker 2: And I suppose, you know, because like she sure she
- 20:36Speaker 2: isn't totally competent, So I guess that makes sense. But
- 20:43Speaker 2: I'm not looking forward to seeing them all like probably
- 20:46Speaker 2: being trapped in whatever the place is that they wind
- 20:49Speaker 2: up in, because I figure that's where we're heading. So anyway,
- 20:53Speaker 2: I'm spending too much time on this.
- 20:55Speaker 1: I'm sorry, guys.
- 20:55Speaker 2: I'm just sort of thinking out loud throughout this episode,
- 20:57Speaker 2: and so there's gonna be a lot of stops and.
- 20:59Speaker 1: Starts with the I'm talking about things.
- 21:02Speaker 2: But yeah, Capone says, as soon as you finish your work,
- 21:05Speaker 2: dive right into his mirror. Big Mom is still going
- 21:07Speaker 2: to be shrieking your head off, So you should have
- 21:09Speaker 2: just enough time. Once we're in the mirror dimension, we
- 21:12Speaker 2: can run away safely and you'll come out on your ship.
- 21:17Speaker 2: So think of a mirror big enough for you to
- 21:19Speaker 2: fit through. And this as an idea was great. This
- 21:24Speaker 2: didn't even enter my mind that they should be able
- 21:28Speaker 2: to escape directly out onto one of their own ships.
- 21:31Speaker 2: That's pretty rad like, or one of their own ships
- 21:34Speaker 2: onto their own ship. I'm bringing in everybody into this
- 21:37Speaker 2: equation because we've got, you know, a variety of people here.
- 21:40Speaker 2: But and again, I think this sounds great, but we'll
- 21:47Speaker 2: see how this actually goes. And Pedro is the one
- 21:49Speaker 2: who's like, the problem with this plan is that everything
- 21:55Speaker 2: depends on every other thing going exactly the way that
- 21:58Speaker 2: we intend it to go, and that's.
- 22:00Speaker 1: Not really very likely.
- 22:02Speaker 2: And Jim Bay chimes in and says the same thing.
- 22:05Speaker 2: It's just like, yeah, we really have to make sure
- 22:08Speaker 2: this is like exact. Now here's my issue as well.
- 22:16Speaker 2: Beij is underhanded as a person. We have seen the
- 22:23Speaker 2: way that he just took for himself and left no
- 22:29Speaker 2: crumbs for anybody. I think that I need to begin
- 22:35Speaker 2: to suspect him more than I currently am. I think
- 22:40Speaker 2: it would behoove me to be more suspicious and concerned
- 22:45Speaker 2: about what it is he is going to do when
- 22:50Speaker 2: push comes to shove, because right now I'm just thinking
- 22:54Speaker 2: about like things that could go wrong because of the enemy,
- 22:58Speaker 2: But I really should be thinking even further ahead, excuse me,
- 23:01Speaker 2: further ahead than that, and considering what could go wrong
- 23:08Speaker 2: because he intends it to go wrong, what could go wrong?
- 23:13Speaker 2: Because it's actually going right for Beggie? Ah, you know
- 23:19Speaker 2: what I'm saying, Like it's a problem. Genuinely, it's like
- 23:26Speaker 2: he who knows what he has up his sleeve? And
- 23:30Speaker 2: I don't even have, like because the thing that has
- 23:32Speaker 2: been mentioned already is that he tended to like take
- 23:37Speaker 2: money in possessions. What is it that he might want
- 23:42Speaker 2: to take The first thing that I think of is
- 23:46Speaker 2: the ship itself. The other thing is the rubbing of
- 23:52Speaker 2: the pony glyph. I am not sure he is aware
- 23:57Speaker 2: they have this rubbing to begin with, So that's a
- 24:02Speaker 2: big question.
- 24:03Speaker 1: It's just like what does he know?
- 24:05Speaker 2: And it's not an overtly valuable thing in terms of like,
- 24:12Speaker 2: you know, it's not gold and diamonds, it's not flashy.
- 24:15Speaker 2: This is something that would have to be sold by
- 24:17Speaker 2: a middleman or himself to an interested.
- 24:21Speaker 1: Buyer, and it would be a whole thing.
- 24:22Speaker 2: Is that the type of shit he's into? Does he
- 24:25Speaker 2: put forth that sort of effort? I It's a thing
- 24:30Speaker 2: about the rubbing, too, is that it's super portable, So
- 24:34Speaker 2: the way that he could like make off with that
- 24:36Speaker 2: and nobody notice for like a good bit the ship,
- 24:40Speaker 2: I just don't see how that could work because he's
- 24:45Speaker 2: got this whole little world inside him. But I don't
- 24:48Speaker 2: know if he can pull that ship up into it.
- 24:51Speaker 1: Could he do that?
- 24:51Speaker 2: Could he steal the sunny? I really don't know if
- 24:53Speaker 2: that's even possible. Yeah, I don't know, guys, But anyway,
- 25:01Speaker 2: there's just a I am excited that we're working with Beggie.
- 25:06Speaker 2: For the record, I want to I want this to
- 25:09Speaker 2: go forward because it's interesting and they don't really have
- 25:13Speaker 2: any other good options, so things working out this way
- 25:17Speaker 2: make sense to me. But I also know the way
- 25:23Speaker 2: that things like this often shake out is by somebody
- 25:27Speaker 2: getting stabbed in the back eventually, And I don't like
- 25:34Speaker 2: there's a part of me that weirdly likes Beggie, and
- 25:38Speaker 2: I think that's part of what I'm bumping up against
- 25:42Speaker 2: is just the fact that I'm like, Ah, he's gonna
- 25:44Speaker 2: fucking ruin things, and I'm gonna be so sad to
- 25:48Speaker 2: see it happen because I actually like this guy, you know,
- 25:53Speaker 2: and the way that he is with.
- 25:55Speaker 1: His little kid. I'm it's just very adore. It's cute.
- 26:02Speaker 1: I'm so sorry. I want this terrible man to wind.
- 26:08Speaker 2: Up being a good guy somehow, and it's just like,
- 26:12Speaker 2: it's just not likely, Natasha. It's just probably not gonna happen.
- 26:15Speaker 2: So I got to deal with it anyway. The tea
- 26:22Speaker 2: party doesn't kick off till ten o'clock, so we have two.
- 26:27Speaker 1: And a half hours. I better head back to my room.
- 26:29Speaker 2: They'll be looking for me, and Beggie says, yeah, we
- 26:34Speaker 2: better get moving because we need to pretend to be security.
- 26:38Speaker 2: And this is when Lufy comes up to him and
- 26:40Speaker 2: he's like, hey, can you do me a favor when
- 26:41Speaker 2: I make my big funny entrance And he's like, wait,
- 26:44Speaker 2: what do you mean? Why are you trying to be funny?
- 26:48Speaker 1: It cuts off there.
- 26:49Speaker 2: And I just wanted to see what Lufy's response to
- 26:53Speaker 2: this was. I was very very curious. So then we
- 27:00Speaker 2: go to this uh I keep forgetting his name, the
- 27:04Speaker 2: guy who has this book power, and he is finding
- 27:08Speaker 2: out that Bobin was killed. Now I just want to
- 27:11Speaker 2: register my surprise here because I fully expected that, like Bobin.
- 27:18Speaker 1: Was gonna be fine.
- 27:19Speaker 2: Loofy deals with him, I think in the hall, or
- 27:22Speaker 2: is it just as he gets outside. Either way, I
- 27:26Speaker 2: you know, nobody dies in this show, and he's talking
- 27:29Speaker 2: about him as if he's for sure dead. So I'm
- 27:31Speaker 2: sort of going with it, and I never expected this
- 27:36Speaker 2: to be a permanent thing. Also a little sad because
- 27:41Speaker 2: Bobin is so unsettling and I was weirdly enjoying him.
- 27:47Speaker 2: I like, I don't really know how else to say it.
- 27:50Speaker 2: He is unsettling in a way that I think really
- 27:53Speaker 2: often works well for the story. And his overall costume
- 27:59Speaker 2: is super simple, which is what makes him unsettling on
- 28:04Speaker 2: a certain level. There's something about the simplicity of it
- 28:07Speaker 2: that it almost makes me think of the kinds of
- 28:10Speaker 2: super creepy Halloween costumes that they used to wear in
- 28:13Speaker 2: like the twenties and like even earlier turn of the century,
- 28:19Speaker 2: you know what I'm saying, where there's a almost disconnect
- 28:25Speaker 2: between the elements of the costume, and so it doesn't
- 28:28Speaker 2: really make sense to our eye the way it does
- 28:31Speaker 2: with costumes today, where we always pick a specific theme
- 28:34Speaker 2: and then we dress up on every level to go
- 28:38Speaker 2: with that theme. And they just didn't used to do
- 28:41Speaker 2: that with costumes. It was just sort of wear a weird,
- 28:45Speaker 2: big smock and then a mask of any random type.
- 28:50Speaker 2: And I think that's why Beget is so like just creepy.
- 28:55Speaker 2: That friggin' cloth just sort of draped over his face. Anyway,
- 29:02Speaker 2: So book guy is like, do you think the straw
- 29:06Speaker 2: hats killed him?
- 29:07Speaker 1: And Gallette?
- 29:09Speaker 2: I saw her name because of the subtitles, No way,
- 29:13Speaker 2: Opera was watching him and the cat Burglar. He said
- 29:16Speaker 2: he burned them to death. Remember Montdor, that's his name.
- 29:21Speaker 2: No offense to him. Once I see the bodies and
- 29:24Speaker 2: not a moment sooner. So I'm really everybody is hiding something,
- 29:33Speaker 2: considering that he was Opera was like saying he killed them.
- 29:38Speaker 2: We have a bunch of people just really like dropping
- 29:41Speaker 2: the ball and then covering it up. So then there's
- 29:47Speaker 2: the mention of Soanji being out and about. I think
- 29:51Speaker 2: that the soldiers, the little chess men just call him
- 29:55Speaker 2: the groom something like that. So this is suspicious and
- 30:00Speaker 2: it results in Montdor being like, all right, well let's
- 30:04Speaker 2: go check on this guy and see what the fuck
- 30:05Speaker 2: is going on. Montdor is the really only like competent
- 30:09Speaker 2: one in the mix right now?
- 30:11Speaker 1: It feels like so.
- 30:15Speaker 2: We see Sanji just fucking booking it through the woods
- 30:19Speaker 2: trying to get back to his room in time, and
- 30:22Speaker 2: he's already too late because Montdor is at his like
- 30:27Speaker 2: chamber door, knock, knock, knocking at his chamber door, and
- 30:33Speaker 2: he keeps knocking, and we have this little egg plant
- 30:37Speaker 2: man who had been asleep like waking up and panicking
- 30:43Speaker 2: because he's looking around realizing that Sonji is not here,
- 30:47Speaker 2: somebody is here to see him. He was asleep in
- 30:50Speaker 2: Sanjy's bed and like, just the way in which he
- 30:55Speaker 2: utterly fucked up here cannot be overstated. So he's buying
- 31:02Speaker 2: time standing there as they keep knocking and banging and
- 31:05Speaker 2: shaking the door, and he's like, what do I do?
- 31:08Speaker 1: Fuck? What do I do? How is this?
- 31:10Speaker 2: And then suddenly the door opens and there is Sanji
- 31:15Speaker 2: and mont Door rightfully is just like, why'd you take
- 31:21Speaker 2: so long?
- 31:22Speaker 1: Were you even in there? You were here the whole time?
- 31:25Speaker 1: I doubt it?
- 31:27Speaker 2: And Sanji is just like, yeah, but I was asleep
- 31:30Speaker 2: because it's very late.
- 31:33Speaker 1: So what are you doing?
- 31:35Speaker 2: Leave me the fuck alone. I gotta get ready for
- 31:37Speaker 2: the wedding. And pretty much like a way to get
- 31:43Speaker 2: any one of these sort of lower level guys off
- 31:45Speaker 2: your back is to just remind them that big Mom
- 31:50Speaker 2: is extremely fixated on this wedding going perfectly, and you
- 31:56Speaker 2: are about to do something to fuck that up.
- 31:59Speaker 1: Is that really what you want to do?
- 32:03Speaker 2: Is this how you want to spend your time? And
- 32:06Speaker 2: mostly it seems like people instantly begin to back off
- 32:09Speaker 2: because they don't want to be the one to ruin
- 32:12Speaker 2: this event. Rightfully so, because I don't think any amount
- 32:16Speaker 2: of explanation of like, no, no, no, but this is
- 32:19Speaker 2: what was happenings. She's not the bit she's gonna listen.
- 32:23Speaker 2: She's just not She's gonna fucking lose her mind and
- 32:29Speaker 2: yell at you or accuse you of something. You know
- 32:32Speaker 2: what I'm saying. So what else is there to do
- 32:35Speaker 2: but fucking cover it up, I guess. So let's see, I'm.
- 32:41Speaker 1: Trying to find the spot here. Oh right.
- 32:43Speaker 2: So after he gets out of there, he's like talking
- 32:46Speaker 2: an eggplant guy who's like, but what were you actually doing?
- 32:51Speaker 2: And you're just like, whatever, shut up, don't worry about it.
- 32:54Speaker 2: We get an interstitial, we get the beginnings of all
- 32:57Speaker 2: of the town's people.
- 33:00Speaker 1: Oh right, we go to like the let's see what
- 33:03Speaker 1: is it called.
- 33:04Speaker 2: It's called like peanuts something island we go to like
- 33:08Speaker 2: the Chocolate Island. We go all over the place and
- 33:11Speaker 2: we get to see how everybody is celebrating. It's like
- 33:15Speaker 2: they have pulled off, pulled out all the stops for
- 33:18Speaker 2: all of the surrounding islands to have the day.
- 33:24Speaker 1: As a holiday for all of them.
- 33:28Speaker 2: And some of the soldiers are talking about how like,
- 33:31Speaker 2: I guess today is a day of peace and they
- 33:33Speaker 2: won't need us, which is important, I think, because we
- 33:38Speaker 2: are going to eventually get to a point where we
- 33:43Speaker 2: need these guys and they are not going to be available,
- 33:48Speaker 2: and it may not be that they're like completely unavailable,
- 33:53Speaker 2: but that they're just not ready right now that we're
- 33:58Speaker 2: going to have to wait for them how And uh,
- 34:02Speaker 2: I'm kind of looking forward to that moment to all
- 34:04Speaker 2: these dudes who really thought they were about to have
- 34:06Speaker 2: the day off. You know, they really expected that they
- 34:10Speaker 2: could just chill for fucking once and relax, and it
- 34:15Speaker 2: all has gone up in flames. You know, life comes
- 34:19Speaker 2: such a fast boys, sorry about it. So, uh, we
- 34:25Speaker 2: have all of the guys from Jurma being woken up.
- 34:29Speaker 2: Rageu is like wandering around and we see her again later.
- 34:34Speaker 2: But there's a mention of like where is she and
- 34:38Speaker 2: her being in another room check like getting her preparations ready.
- 34:44Speaker 2: And the dude who is telling them this is I
- 34:48Speaker 2: don't remember having seen him before. We maybe we have
- 34:51Speaker 2: and I just don't remember. I think that he is
- 34:53Speaker 2: part of Big Mom's crew, but I may be wrong.
- 34:58Speaker 2: He's got this top hat and this very weird sort
- 35:01Speaker 2: of ovoid like blush on his cheeks, but otherwise he
- 35:05Speaker 2: looks pretty ordinary, and he is assuring them that Regi
- 35:09Speaker 2: is fine. But there was a sense of like the
- 35:13Speaker 2: expression on his face that it looked like he was
- 35:16Speaker 2: sneering or like smirking to himself, and I couldn't tell
- 35:19Speaker 2: if I was supposed to be interpreting something from that.
- 35:25Speaker 2: So then we have everybody like running into Big Mom's
- 35:28Speaker 2: bedroom because she is crying and yelling, and we get
- 35:33Speaker 2: something happening here that is way different than what I
- 35:38Speaker 2: thought we were gonna get. My by expectation, I thought
- 35:47Speaker 2: for sure we're gonna have her wake up, see that
- 35:51Speaker 2: Brooke is gone, that there's a decoy, and be like,
- 35:54Speaker 2: oh shit, no, they're up to no good, what's going
- 35:57Speaker 2: on here? Instead, she sees this decoy and still thinks
- 36:07Speaker 2: it's Brooke and that it's simply his dead body. I mean,
- 36:16Speaker 2: like I said, it's just I never thought for a
- 36:19Speaker 2: moment that she would think this was Brooke. And when
- 36:24Speaker 2: I stopped to consider, you know, Brooke doesn't have a heartbeat, right, Like,
- 36:30Speaker 2: how do you know that he's alive by the fact
- 36:33Speaker 2: that he's moving around, not buy anything, like, you know,
- 36:38Speaker 2: him being warm to the touch like a regular person.
- 36:43Speaker 2: So I guess if you just have this weird dummy
- 36:47Speaker 2: that's like pretty close to how he looks, and it's
- 36:50Speaker 2: just inert that you would take that as like, no,
- 36:54Speaker 2: this is him, but the life's gone out of him.
- 36:57Speaker 1: I just it's surprise.
- 36:59Speaker 2: I'm I'm not mad at this. I just want to
- 37:01Speaker 2: be clear about that. I think that this is kind
- 37:03Speaker 2: of delightful because it obviously gives our friends a lot
- 37:08Speaker 2: of room since the idea that he has escaped doesn't
- 37:13Speaker 2: enter her mind. There's no further like searching for him.
- 37:16Speaker 2: But I just never ever even considered that she was
- 37:20Speaker 2: going to think this was actually Brooke.
- 37:24Speaker 1: So she starts to cry.
- 37:26Speaker 2: She's super upset, and then Prometheus and Zeus both swooped
- 37:32Speaker 2: down and they're like, hey, look on the bright side,
- 37:36Speaker 2: today is the big day, and you know what that means.
- 37:40Speaker 2: And she just starts chanting wedding cake and like waving
- 37:44Speaker 2: her arms in the air and is so delighted.
- 37:47Speaker 1: Now.
- 37:48Speaker 2: I don't know if there is something really specific about
- 37:52Speaker 2: this wedding cake because she does nothing but talk about it,
- 37:56Speaker 2: or if it's just you know, a bitch loves kate.
- 38:01Speaker 2: It could be that fucking simple. She really loves cake
- 38:04Speaker 2: and she's excited to have some. And if that's all
- 38:07Speaker 2: it is. If it turns out that there is nothing
- 38:10Speaker 2: at all really significant about the cake except that it
- 38:13Speaker 2: is delicious, I will love that.
- 38:17Speaker 1: I just want to.
- 38:18Speaker 2: Put that out there right now. I personally think that
- 38:24Speaker 2: would be a wonderful surprise, because I have got it
- 38:30Speaker 2: in my head the way that this is like probably
- 38:34Speaker 2: going to shake out, but the cake is going to
- 38:38Speaker 2: be very significant somehow. I don't even have a good
- 38:44Speaker 2: explanation on what that means. But I personally can get
- 38:53Speaker 2: very fixated on food related things myself, and it would
- 38:58Speaker 2: be deeply relatable if she were just very excited about
- 39:04Speaker 2: a regular but extremely well made and delicious wedding cake
- 39:07Speaker 2: and that was it and there was no warlike significance
- 39:11Speaker 2: to it. It had nothing to do with her master plan.
- 39:14Speaker 2: And you know, maybe it's like a kind of celebratory
- 39:17Speaker 2: thing where she's like after I finished taking down drama.
- 39:22Speaker 2: Because like the way that wedding cake usually fits into
- 39:26Speaker 2: the wedding day is you complete the ceremony, you have
- 39:32Speaker 2: your little cocktail hour, you have dinner, and then you
- 39:35Speaker 2: go into dancing, and then eventually the dancing is brought
- 39:40Speaker 2: to a halt for a bit for the cutting of
- 39:43Speaker 2: the cake and distributing of the pieces. Music comes back
- 39:47Speaker 2: on and some people go back out on the dance floor,
- 39:50Speaker 2: and other people decide to sit with their cake and
- 39:52Speaker 2: chat and whatever. I am not sure if this goes
- 39:56Speaker 2: differently in Japan, because I don't even know if like
- 40:02Speaker 2: a wedding cake the way that I imagine it is
- 40:04Speaker 2: traditional in Japan either. So what I have been thinking
- 40:11Speaker 2: kind of in the back of my mind this whole
- 40:13Speaker 2: time has really been that the cake is meant to
- 40:16Speaker 2: be consumed.
- 40:17Speaker 1: After the win.
- 40:20Speaker 2: You know that we have all of our plans go
- 40:24Speaker 2: exactly right, and we managed to pull it off and
- 40:31Speaker 2: then have our celebratory cake because we actually did something incredible,
- 40:37Speaker 2: and now I have all this power and I got
- 40:40Speaker 2: my exact wish and everything is wonderful and we'll see,
- 40:47Speaker 2: we'll see, guys. I just I keep saying that, and
- 40:51Speaker 2: that's just the way storytelling works. So there's also this
- 40:56Speaker 2: interesting moment. So we've got first, uh what's his name,
- 41:03Speaker 2: Oh my god, Peckham's and he is demanding from Aladdin.
- 41:11Speaker 2: Jimbay is like, kind of a second, I don't know
- 41:13Speaker 2: if that's really true.
- 41:15Speaker 1: I was about I was saying this.
- 41:16Speaker 2: Then I was like, why do I assume he's subordinate
- 41:18Speaker 2: to Jimbay? But he has got Peckhams tied up, and
- 41:23Speaker 2: Peckham's is demanding to be let go, and he's like,
- 41:30Speaker 2: you're trying to sneak off without so much as a word,
- 41:33Speaker 2: and you're just gonna leave me here, And Aladdin straight
- 41:36Speaker 2: up is just like, yeah, I'm sorry, but uh bye,
- 41:41Speaker 2: And he's like, this is a betrayal of Mama if
- 41:45Speaker 2: you leave, like you're not allowed to, and Aladdin is like, well,
- 41:49Speaker 2: why would I go face her? If you try to leave,
- 41:52Speaker 2: you die? So yeah, we're just gonna take off without
- 41:57Speaker 2: saying anything like what exactly would you suggest that wouldn't
- 42:01Speaker 2: get us killed? And then he says, jim May sends
- 42:06Speaker 2: his regards and Peckhams asks what does that mean? And
- 42:12Speaker 2: we have a bit of a flashback here where it's
- 42:16Speaker 2: Aladdin talking with Jimbay about Beje's plan and he's saying that, like,
- 42:23Speaker 2: it seems kind of far fetched, but if Loofy finds
- 42:27Speaker 2: out about this, he'll brave any danger to rescue Sanji.
- 42:30Speaker 2: The lives of his entire crew will be at risk,
- 42:33Speaker 2: and I can't sit back and watch them perish. I'm
- 42:37Speaker 2: left with no other choice. I must raise a rebellion.
- 42:44Speaker 2: I will betray Big Mom openly. I felt a sense
- 42:48Speaker 2: of duty to her, so I tried telling her directly
- 42:51Speaker 2: that I wanted to leave. But that plan was a
- 42:54Speaker 2: failure thanks to the sacrifice required by her. Roulette written
- 43:00Speaker 2: upon that cruel device represent the lives of my comrades.
- 43:06Speaker 2: That's why I need all of you to flee from
- 43:09Speaker 2: this place. The price that Big Mom required of me
- 43:13Speaker 2: was an unreasonable sanction, extended far past the value of
- 43:16Speaker 2: my own life. On the day of the tea party,
- 43:21Speaker 2: the Odour ships will be busy escorting the guests instead,
- 43:27Speaker 2: and attention will be even further diverted. If something shocking
- 43:30Speaker 2: happens at the tea party, it will be the perfect
- 43:33Speaker 2: chance to escape, and Aladdin is like, okay, sounds good,
- 43:39Speaker 2: We'll get ready to leave. We appreciate you, and Jimmy
- 43:44Speaker 2: says you oh, he says to him, you need to
- 43:48Speaker 2: get your head on straight.
- 43:50Speaker 1: Though.
- 43:50Speaker 2: We support you and there's nothing that we want more
- 43:53Speaker 2: than for you to be free. But joining straw hat,
- 44:00Speaker 2: It's like, I get you wanting to do that, but
- 44:03Speaker 2: you are way too eager to just throw your life away.
- 44:07Speaker 1: And jim Bay does the whole like it.
- 44:09Speaker 2: Would be my honor and privilege and duty et cetera,
- 44:13Speaker 2: et cetera to offer my life to a worthy captain
- 44:18Speaker 2: as for when I've already made up my mind, And
- 44:25Speaker 2: Aladdin realizes like, oh, okay, you're set on dying here,
- 44:31Speaker 2: and he says, all right, well, I want you to
- 44:35Speaker 2: at least try to save your own life if you can.
- 44:42Speaker 2: Jimbae also mentions that she might turn her fury on
- 44:45Speaker 2: her own home when she discovers that we betrayed her.
- 44:51Speaker 2: So there's a mention of the Reyugu Kingdom and the
- 44:54Speaker 2: fact that, like you know, we need to fight and
- 44:58Speaker 2: protect them. They are worth it. Also, I just want
- 45:05Speaker 2: to mention. I can't remember her name. I know that
- 45:07Speaker 2: we learned it. But the woman that I think he
- 45:12Speaker 2: is married to Aladdin. She's got that real crazy like
- 45:16Speaker 2: hair and rolls that stick way out from the sides
- 45:18Speaker 2: of her head, and the sharp teeth.
- 45:19Speaker 1: She's like a mermaid.
- 45:22Speaker 2: She is there the whole time that they talk this
- 45:26Speaker 2: plan through, and I can't help but worry about that
- 45:31Speaker 2: because she is so obviously still like a big mom
- 45:35Speaker 2: stand that I have to assume she goes and tells
- 45:38Speaker 2: her everything, Like that's immediately what I'm thinking when I see.
- 45:42Speaker 1: Her here, you know.
- 45:46Speaker 2: So they leave Peckham's tied to this to this rock
- 45:52Speaker 2: and just get on the ship. We don't actually see
- 45:55Speaker 2: them leave, and I'm assuming that you know, they are
- 45:57Speaker 2: waiting for everything to really fly off the handle. But uh,
- 46:02Speaker 2: I felt bad for Peckhams because he just has been
- 46:06Speaker 2: gripped up by like one person after another, and he
- 46:12Speaker 2: I'm not gonna say he deserves a break, because he doesn't,
- 46:15Speaker 2: but I will say that at least he seems.
- 46:20Speaker 1: He seems tired. I guess that's it.
- 46:24Speaker 2: So then we have all of the party from German Kingdom,
- 46:31Speaker 2: like the actual Vince smokes and they are heading in
- 46:36Speaker 2: to begin the tea party, and his sister is just like,
- 46:40Speaker 2: she just heard that they spoke to him this morning
- 46:43Speaker 2: and that he's getting ready, and so she's like, I
- 46:46Speaker 2: gave him the chance to fucking escape. Why did he
- 46:49Speaker 2: not take it?
- 46:50Speaker 1: What the fuck?
- 46:52Speaker 2: And we cut then to him getting dressed and he's
- 46:56Speaker 2: wearing full white, and it's extremes.
- 47:00Speaker 1: Realmly funny because we have him like he goes to see.
- 47:08Speaker 2: Pudding and you know, this whole tradition is different as well,
- 47:12Speaker 2: because we have this thing where you can't see the
- 47:15Speaker 2: bride before the wedding day, which is, honestly, when you
- 47:17Speaker 2: think about it, a really strange tradition. But uh, he
- 47:22Speaker 2: and putting hang out a little bit beforehand, after she
- 47:25Speaker 2: is like dressed and in her gown. And I love
- 47:30Speaker 2: the fact that the plan with Bejet, the whole thing
- 47:33Speaker 2: was meant to like sort of revolve around when you
- 47:38Speaker 2: kiss Pudding. He insists he is not going to kiss her.
- 47:45Speaker 2: He's just absolutely fucking.
- 47:48Speaker 1: Adamant, and.
- 47:53Speaker 2: Then when he sees her, when he actually sets eyes
- 47:56Speaker 2: on her, he comple completely loses all of his shit
- 48:04Speaker 2: and instantly begins to nosebleed and sway wildly. The way
- 48:12Speaker 2: that he does it is something to see. I didn't
- 48:19Speaker 2: expect this of him. It's completely in character. And I
- 48:22Speaker 2: must say that overall I really approve of this because
- 48:27Speaker 2: him being completely resistant to her charms. I mean, it
- 48:31Speaker 2: just wouldn't really make sense with who he is. But
- 48:35Speaker 2: I didn't expect this to be as dramatic a struggle
- 48:42Speaker 2: as it is. I expected it to be that he
- 48:45Speaker 2: had slightly better control over himself but kept having the
- 48:48Speaker 2: urge to, like, you know, And it starts off that way,
- 48:53Speaker 2: but eventually it comes to a point where it seems
- 48:56Speaker 2: like he's completely gone. He is just totally he has
- 49:02Speaker 2: lost the battle with himself. And it's her like him saying,
- 49:07Speaker 2: I could just kiss you on the cheek instead of
- 49:09Speaker 2: on the lips if you're shy about being in front
- 49:11Speaker 2: of all these people, and she says.
- 49:15Speaker 1: Just kiss me on the lips.
- 49:17Speaker 2: We're about to be married, after all, and he shoots
- 49:22Speaker 2: into the ceiling and lodges so firmly there that when
- 49:26Speaker 2: some of the staff comes in the door after they
- 49:28Speaker 2: hear the thunk, they look up and they're like, what
- 49:30Speaker 2: the fuck? And then he finally loosens from the crater
- 49:35Speaker 2: he made and falls to the floor, and I when
- 49:43Speaker 2: he is later introduced and he is beside her, I
- 49:48Speaker 2: can't remember who it is. I think it's Beggie who's
- 49:50Speaker 2: watching him and is like, huh, he's really selling this
- 49:58Speaker 2: that he's in love with her. And there's a tone
- 50:03Speaker 2: to Beji that's feeling like he can see, oh maybe
- 50:08Speaker 2: this is real.
- 50:09Speaker 1: Oh no, you.
- 50:11Speaker 2: Know I I really wonder if he's going to be
- 50:19Speaker 2: able to adhere to the plan, how is it going
- 50:22Speaker 2: to work? And like, is this going to be a
- 50:25Speaker 2: major part of having to deal with the enemy, is
- 50:31Speaker 2: that we need to somehow recapture Sanji's heart because he
- 50:38Speaker 2: begins to like sway toward believing in this fake relationship,
- 50:47Speaker 2: which I could actually kind of see, you.
- 50:51Speaker 1: Know what I mean, Like.
- 50:54Speaker 2: He is struggling not to forget what it is that
- 51:00Speaker 2: he saw and heard, and he has to tell himself
- 51:04Speaker 2: more than once because he just like there's a moment
- 51:08Speaker 2: where he's even like maybe that was just a dream.
- 51:11Speaker 2: Maybe I didn't even see anything, and I was like,
- 51:15Speaker 2: holy shit, dude, you are really gone, like you're about
- 51:19Speaker 2: to question reality. He snaps back at that moment pretty
- 51:24Speaker 2: quickly and is like, no, what am I saying?
- 51:26Speaker 1: Oh my god? But then when he hits the ceiling, Ah,
- 51:35Speaker 1: I don't know, man.
- 51:36Speaker 2: I feel like that's sort of a rap. So anyway,
- 51:41Speaker 2: I love this for the record, I really do.
- 51:45Speaker 1: I like it a lot, but I.
- 51:47Speaker 2: Just find it like it's opening a lot of doors
- 51:53Speaker 2: and making me ask a lot of questions about like
- 51:55Speaker 2: where are we going to end up from here? I'm
- 52:00Speaker 2: taking a lot of time. I'm sorry, guys, I'm like
- 52:03Speaker 2: just chewing over everything. So we have the beginning of
- 52:07Speaker 2: the reception, or I'm saying the reception, but what I
- 52:11Speaker 2: mean is literally we are receiving the guests as they arrive,
- 52:14Speaker 2: not the reception part of the wedding, and we get
- 52:22Speaker 2: all kinds of new people turning up, and I'll tell you, guys,
- 52:24Speaker 2: I'm just not going to go through them all. I
- 52:26Speaker 2: just don't think that it's necessary or worthwhile. Right now,
- 52:30Speaker 2: all we need to know is that there are a
- 52:32Speaker 2: lot of new players, and there is one particular guy
- 52:36Speaker 2: named the organ Dealer, who tries to behave as if
- 52:39Speaker 2: he's just a guest like any other guest, but then
- 52:43Speaker 2: quickly attempts to like attack them all and has to
- 52:47Speaker 2: get shot by a jellybean I think it is that's
- 52:53Speaker 2: being used as the bullet, and Benje is like, what
- 52:57Speaker 2: the fuck? This guy was a guest but also looks
- 53:00Speaker 2: like he was about to start some trouble and that's
- 53:02Speaker 2: supposed to be the type of thing that you stop
- 53:05Speaker 2: from happening, Beggie, so you're not really doing a good
- 53:07Speaker 2: job keeping your cover up. And oh god, and before
- 53:13Speaker 2: I forget, there's this whole other thing, you guys, there's
- 53:17Speaker 2: this whole other thing where Smoothie is greeting people and
- 53:22Speaker 2: offering them a drink, and she has a woman who
- 53:28Speaker 2: stabbed someone a I can't remember the first thing. And
- 53:34Speaker 2: then a giraffe that makes a funny sound when it screams,
- 53:38Speaker 2: or that sounds funny when it screams, and they decide
- 53:46Speaker 2: they squeeze each of these creatures to get a drink
- 53:50Speaker 2: out of them.
- 53:51Speaker 1: So these folks choose.
- 53:52Speaker 2: The giraffe, and like, the liquid that comes out of
- 53:56Speaker 2: the giraffe is evidently a champagne like substance. It's sparkling,
- 54:05Speaker 2: whatever it is. I hated this so much, like this
- 54:11Speaker 2: power I already didn't like, but seeing it in action
- 54:17Speaker 2: and it just being like, we think it's funny to
- 54:19Speaker 2: torture this animal.
- 54:22Speaker 1: I mean, I already don't.
- 54:24Speaker 2: Like her, but that really sealed it for me. I mean,
- 54:29Speaker 2: I mean, oh, I hated this so much. But okay,
- 54:33Speaker 2: So talking about not keeping his cover up, Begi is
- 54:39Speaker 2: not considering the implications of there being a bunch of
- 54:50Speaker 2: innimate objects around him. He is playing it real fast
- 54:59Speaker 2: and loose with who he talks about his secret plans with,
- 55:04Speaker 2: and the door is listening in and he simply doesn't
- 55:11Speaker 2: even think of that, which isn't great. And it's him
- 55:18Speaker 2: and Caesar just basically talking about every single aspect of
- 55:26Speaker 2: their plan, I mean everything. It's one of those conversations
- 55:30Speaker 2: where people are talking in a way that's very unnatural
- 55:36Speaker 2: because we need them to say the thing, you know
- 55:40Speaker 2: what I'm saying. So it feels like kind of silly
- 55:46Speaker 2: as you're watching it, because you're sort of going, why
- 55:49Speaker 2: would they even say this now or say this that way?
- 55:54Speaker 2: And the reason is simply because we need to blurt
- 55:59Speaker 2: it all out for the sake of the story. That's
- 56:02Speaker 2: purely it.
- 56:03Speaker 1: And I'm not even like mad about it.
- 56:06Speaker 2: It's like, because like I get what we're doing, but
- 56:10Speaker 2: there are a few moments, especially with Caesar, that I
- 56:13Speaker 2: was sort of like, all right, okay, like why why
- 56:17Speaker 2: would you even need to say that out loud to begi?
- 56:19Speaker 1: You know what I'm saying.
- 56:20Speaker 2: Anyway, the door is listening in and like the door,
- 56:28Speaker 2: she's not even hiding herself, you know what I'm saying,
- 56:33Speaker 2: Like she's her face is visible, she's clearly like talking
- 56:41Speaker 2: to folks who are walking by and walking through her,
- 56:44Speaker 2: and I don't feel like it's at all hidden that
- 56:48Speaker 2: the door is alive. She's put her face out there
- 56:50Speaker 2: a few times, but they are still just not considering
- 56:57Speaker 2: and can like the thing that I had said earlier
- 57:02Speaker 2: about how is it that really is going to get
- 57:05Speaker 2: out of this? And then I came to the conclusion
- 57:08Speaker 2: that she's going to be rescued. I feel it has
- 57:11Speaker 2: to be based on this that someone the door is
- 57:15Speaker 2: going to like alert somebody, and that is going to
- 57:20Speaker 2: be how they managed to get it. And I don't
- 57:22Speaker 2: know how they get into.
- 57:25Speaker 1: The mirror world. I'll say that like.
- 57:30Speaker 2: The way in which this actually mechanically is going to work,
- 57:34Speaker 2: I don't know, but it does seem like it's a
- 57:37Speaker 2: given we're going to have a wrench thrown in the
- 57:42Speaker 2: work somehow is she going to go straight to Big Mom?
- 57:47Speaker 2: I'm not even sure how she goes anywhere.
- 57:50Speaker 1: She's gonna just have to hail a soldier, I guess.
- 57:55Speaker 2: But is anybody who gonna want to tell Big Mom
- 57:59Speaker 2: this because it's going to ruin the day. I feel
- 58:02Speaker 2: like they just want to keep her as calm as possible,
- 58:06Speaker 2: So even when shit's really starting to pop off like
- 58:09Speaker 2: it is here, I feel like they're going to just
- 58:14Speaker 2: still continue to hide stuff from her.
- 58:17Speaker 1: I don't know. We'll see, We'll see, I guess. And
- 58:23Speaker 1: let's see.
- 58:24Speaker 2: I'm trying to like scrub through this now because I
- 58:26Speaker 2: have gone through my whole hour and I have not
- 58:28Speaker 2: finished talking about all of this, the whole thing. The
- 58:34Speaker 2: organ salesman or whatever it is. He's called that name,
- 58:38Speaker 2: organ dealer, that's what it is. Way to make me
- 58:42Speaker 2: instantly hate a person with a name like that. I
- 58:45Speaker 2: was like when he got shot, I was like, oh, well,
- 58:48Speaker 2: good fuck him. And he may not even literally do
- 58:51Speaker 2: what his name suggests, but it sure look like that.
- 58:55Speaker 1: That's all I'm saying.
- 58:59Speaker 2: And you know, there's a like one of the guys
- 59:02Speaker 2: literally yells to another as he's like trying to take
- 59:06Speaker 2: him down. We're gonna make a killing off of all
- 59:09Speaker 2: of your organs, So just like telling people, hey, we're
- 59:13Speaker 2: gonna we're gonna cut you open and take your parts
- 59:16Speaker 2: out and sell them.
- 59:18Speaker 1: Yikes.
- 59:19Speaker 2: And this chain wraps around this dude that he's yelling at,
- 59:22Speaker 2: who I think his name is Oven. I'm not positive,
- 59:27Speaker 2: but I feel like it has to be him, because
- 59:31Speaker 2: like he heats up and he's able to melt all
- 59:33Speaker 2: of the chains off himself, and even there's this real
- 59:35Speaker 2: creepy clown off to the side that's part of like
- 59:38Speaker 2: the organ dealer crew, and he is looking at his
- 59:42Speaker 2: little rapiers melts it down to the hill and he's.
- 59:45Speaker 1: Just sort of like what happened to my sword?
- 59:49Speaker 2: And then there's a the landing of another like big Wig.
- 59:54Speaker 2: I can't remember this dude's name either, because I'm so sorry.
- 59:57Speaker 2: He lands hard and like lays everybody out, like there's
- 1:00:02Speaker 2: a shock wave from the contact with.
- 1:00:05Speaker 1: The ground and they all are flattened.
- 1:00:10Speaker 2: There's this huge cloud of smoke that when it clears away,
- 1:00:15Speaker 2: you see all the enemy laying face down on the ground.
- 1:00:19Speaker 2: And one of the guys goes up to that clown
- 1:00:21Speaker 2: and just it's oven steps on his back and just
- 1:00:24Speaker 2: like his foot is so hot that it sears through
- 1:00:27Speaker 2: the back of this clown's suit.
- 1:00:30Speaker 1: It's pretty grib.
- 1:00:33Speaker 2: Loofy is in the woods trying to catch animals for
- 1:00:39Speaker 2: reasons that I don't really want to know, and he
- 1:00:45Speaker 2: catches some monkeys, it seems like. But that's pretty much
- 1:00:49Speaker 2: all we get of that, not a lot more, and
- 1:00:52Speaker 2: then Sanji and Pudding enters the third episode, which I
- 1:00:58Speaker 2: had already talked a lot about, like what's going on
- 1:01:01Speaker 2: with the two of them. There's also some guys that
- 1:01:05Speaker 2: are working with Beggi who are trying to like sneak
- 1:01:09Speaker 2: into the basement area, and they run across a chef
- 1:01:14Speaker 2: or like a line cook or something. They are in
- 1:01:18Speaker 2: the right uniform, but they're heading in the wrong direction.
- 1:01:22Speaker 2: And this one dude who tries to be like, oh,
- 1:01:26Speaker 2: we're just looking for booze. He's attempting to appeal to
- 1:01:29Speaker 2: this cook because he's clearly drunk.
- 1:01:32Speaker 1: But the cook starts.
- 1:01:33Speaker 2: To realize, like, this doesn't really make a lot of
- 1:01:36Speaker 2: sense to you, being like heading in this direction. And
- 1:01:40Speaker 2: then here comes Vito, and this chef is like, hey,
- 1:01:44Speaker 2: I think these guys might be intruders.
- 1:01:47Speaker 1: I've never seen them before.
- 1:01:49Speaker 2: And Vito says, well, better not leave any loose ends,
- 1:01:55Speaker 2: don't you think Gotti? And Gotti slices this cook and
- 1:02:05Speaker 2: kills him. It seems like he's dead. You know, I
- 1:02:08Speaker 2: may be wrong about this now. I thought it was
- 1:02:11Speaker 2: odd because the whole thing with like Veto and Gotti,
- 1:02:14Speaker 2: like these are bug names. You know, they're part of
- 1:02:17Speaker 2: the mafia, like Miueu. So I was sort of like
- 1:02:20Speaker 2: they're working with.
- 1:02:21Speaker 1: Mom specifically, is that?
- 1:02:23Speaker 2: But they are evidently with Beggie, So we've got, you know,
- 1:02:27Speaker 2: a whole other group that's that's taking her out from
- 1:02:32Speaker 2: the inside. I say a whole other and it's like
- 1:02:37Speaker 2: not because it's they're part of Beggie's crew obviously, but
- 1:02:40Speaker 2: they felt like they were higher level, and I think
- 1:02:43Speaker 2: it's that they're related to Big Bomb. Am I right
- 1:02:47Speaker 2: about this. I'm recording this episode later than usual, so
- 1:02:50Speaker 2: there's nobody in the chat today, so you know, y'all
- 1:02:53Speaker 2: are gonna have to get back at me after the fact.
- 1:02:57Speaker 2: We have a brief moment of Big Mom just accept
- 1:03:00Speaker 2: do all of these various treasures as a gift from
- 1:03:03Speaker 2: people to sort of suck up to her, and there's
- 1:03:09Speaker 2: that particular box that she's really looking forward to opening.
- 1:03:12Speaker 1: The Tomago box is.
- 1:03:15Speaker 2: How it's what it's called, and she like, I feel
- 1:03:22Speaker 2: like the way that she's talking about it is that
- 1:03:25Speaker 2: she doesn't want to open it in front of everybody.
- 1:03:27Speaker 2: She's looking forward to it, but it seems like she thinks,
- 1:03:30Speaker 2: I better do this in private. So this is the
- 1:03:36Speaker 2: point where Caesar shows up and starts to like say
- 1:03:41Speaker 2: the whole plan to got to Gotti to Beggie. We
- 1:03:45Speaker 2: have Loofy like ducking in and out of Beggie's body
- 1:03:50Speaker 2: as well, and the general sort of sense of restlessness
- 1:03:56Speaker 2: as everybody waits for the moment to strike. And eventually
- 1:04:01Speaker 2: Lufy just falls asleep because of course he does. Like
- 1:04:04Speaker 2: everyone else is very tense sitting at this table, just
- 1:04:07Speaker 2: sort of sitting silently thinking it all through, and Lufy
- 1:04:11Speaker 2: is the only one that's just absolutely out because there's
- 1:04:16Speaker 2: nothing else to do right now, thinking why would I
- 1:04:18Speaker 2: do that? What's the point. Eventually we have the thing
- 1:04:24Speaker 2: with Sanjy and his nose bleed and hitting the ceiling.
- 1:04:29Speaker 2: He has to like change because he gets blood all
- 1:04:31Speaker 2: over himself. I enjoyed putting, thinking to herself, what the
- 1:04:36Speaker 2: hell is with this freak? And as he walks away,
- 1:04:41Speaker 2: and she's got this sweet look on her face, she
- 1:04:45Speaker 2: just thinks, I can't wait to blow your brains out,
- 1:04:50Speaker 2: And I am here for her, I really am.
- 1:04:53Speaker 1: She says, I can't wait to blow your dumb brains out.
- 1:05:00Speaker 2: And fucking Sanchi who knows this, He knows, and it
- 1:05:03Speaker 2: doesn't matter shit is fucking hilarious. I really I enjoy
- 1:05:08Speaker 2: it a lot.
- 1:05:10Speaker 1: So this is.
- 1:05:11Speaker 2: When we have like the fireworks going off and the
- 1:05:14Speaker 2: introductions of all of our guests and the bride and
- 1:05:19Speaker 2: groom and YadA YadA, and it's very dramatic and I
- 1:05:25Speaker 2: can't help but admire deciding to put this much money
- 1:05:27Speaker 2: into a wedding that isn't even really gonna happen. Fully,
- 1:05:31Speaker 2: I mean it will, but you know what I'm saying,
- 1:05:33Speaker 2: Like the Red Wedding, part of the hint that this
- 1:05:38Speaker 2: was not going to be what it looked like was
- 1:05:41Speaker 2: the fact that everything was done on the cheap and
- 1:05:44Speaker 2: it didn't seem like they had planned for a wedding
- 1:05:47Speaker 2: at all, which in retrospect makes sense. But this is
- 1:05:52Speaker 2: fully like a wedding that's happening.
- 1:05:54Speaker 1: It's being done. We've got all of the bells and
- 1:05:56Speaker 1: whistles going, so.
- 1:06:00Speaker 2: Yeah, fucking Sanji, he's like trying to resist, but we
- 1:06:05Speaker 2: have that like weird anime language of its his nostrils
- 1:06:09Speaker 2: being very large and wide open, which apparently means that
- 1:06:13Speaker 2: you're horny. And I still don't really know where that
- 1:06:15Speaker 2: comes from, but I know that's a thing, and uh,
- 1:06:19Speaker 2: Veggie looking worried about it. And that is the end
- 1:06:23Speaker 2: of the episode. All right, friends, I have got to
- 1:06:27Speaker 2: wrap up. Appreciate everybody who's listening. I hope you're enjoying
- 1:06:30Speaker 2: the coverage, and thank you to everybody commissioning episodes. Thank
