A heartbreaking tragedy unfolded Sunday night in Fayetteville when a 46-year-old woman, Anya Owens-Ray, was fatally stabbed by her own husband, 70-year-old Leon Ray, during a violent home attack. Police responded to Lansdowne Road around 9:06 PM, found Anya critically injured, and she later died at the hospital. Leon Ray was arrested nearby and charged with first-degree murder after her death. He appeared in court Monday morning, held without bond, with his next hearing scheduled for July 15th.
