- 0:35Speaker 2: Where are you? What are you doing? There?
- 0:37Speaker 1: Are you forgetting something important? Something like maybe the fate
- 0:41Speaker 1: of the world is in your hands?

- 0:58Speaker 1: Roland Grace please spoke up from a coma.
- 1:02Speaker 2: There's several light years from my apartment. And I'm not
- 1:06Speaker 2: an astronaut. I'm not an astronautic flashback, I'm not an astronaut.
- 1:13Speaker 2: If you don't go, you die with the rest of us. Well,
- 1:20Speaker 2: the sun is dying. You're the only scientists too might
- 1:25Speaker 2: know what this is. I'm just a teacher at Grover
- 1:28Speaker 2: Cleveland Middle you have a doctorate in molecular biology. I
- 1:32Speaker 2: need you to come with us. This is project Tell Mary,
- 1:36Speaker 2: the Sun is not the only star dying. Every star
- 1:39Speaker 2: was infected by its neighbor except one. Why, which is
- 1:44Speaker 2: why we build a ship to go there and find
- 1:47Speaker 2: out it's eleven point nine light years away. The astronauts
- 1:50Speaker 2: dye in space. That's what you Americans would call a
- 1:53Speaker 2: lung shot. Hell, Mary, I get it. Well on Earth's
- 1:57Speaker 2: going to sign off for this? No, we do nothing.
- 2:03Speaker 2: Everything on a planet.
- 2:04Speaker 1: Book on Extinct. You'll find a solution. You are my solution.
- 2:11Speaker 2: I put the knot an astronaut. I've never done anything.
- 2:14Speaker 2: I've never done a space I can't even moon walk.
- 2:17Speaker 2: So you get the plot.
- 2:18Speaker 1: Okay.
- 2:18Speaker 2: Now this is based on a book by Andy Ware
- 2:21Speaker 2: who wrote The Martian, which was great. So it's going
- 2:23Speaker 2: to be very science So yeah, that very accurate.
- 2:26Speaker 1: Very man, This is a it's a great looking trailer.
- 2:33Speaker 1: I wish you could see it, but we get kicked
- 2:35Speaker 1: off of YouTube whenever we throw a lot of things
- 2:38Speaker 1: happening at the Steaks. I do like this. It's in
- 2:43Speaker 1: the classroom.
- 2:45Speaker 2: What is counting on you? This might be very hard
- 2:51Speaker 2: for you.
- 2:51Speaker 1: To understand. But some people are not good at things.
- 2:57Speaker 2: You know who you are, You're gonna do great. Coco
- 2:59Speaker 2: Zerota five outs.
- 3:04Speaker 1: So while he's doing all the sciencey, oh my god,
- 3:09Speaker 1: well an alien spaceship shows up just to make matters
- 3:12Speaker 1: where it goes.
- 3:16Speaker 2: So this thing looks great.
- 3:17Speaker 1: It's uh, it's it's coming out soon and you can
- 3:20Speaker 1: go watch the trailer.
- 3:22Speaker 2: Very very interesting. I'm yeah, I'm in. I was you know,
- 3:25Speaker 2: was it sure until I saw the trailer? Who besides a.
- 3:29Speaker 1: Bunch of people you've I don't know if you've heard
- 3:31Speaker 1: of or not, but I mean it's it's it's going
- 3:33Speaker 1: to be Ryan Gosling on screen in every shot, basically
- 3:36Speaker 1: mostly him.
- 3:37Speaker 2: So because even like in The Martian there's uh, it
- 3:40Speaker 2: was all damon.
- 3:42Speaker 1: Yeah. Let's see San Diego Comic Con coming up here
- 3:46Speaker 1: very soon. And Predator bad Lands is going to be
- 3:49Speaker 1: featured tron Aries and apparently Trent Reznor is very proud
- 3:55Speaker 1: of the soundtrack for tron Aries. He says, he says,
- 3:58Speaker 1: I don't want to sound pretend or anything, but we've
- 4:01Speaker 1: really we've changed what movie soundtracks can be. So he's
- 4:06Speaker 1: very excited about that. There will be a lack of
- 4:08Speaker 1: Marvel at this year's convention, So take that in. But
- 4:13Speaker 1: while you're thinking about Predator, bad Lens going on Netflix
- 4:18Speaker 1: and watch a Killer of Killers, Predator, Killer of Killers.
- 4:22Speaker 2: I can't watch. I watched some of that.
- 4:24Speaker 1: Yeah, it's anime and it's three stories about three people
- 4:29Speaker 1: in different timelines. And I didn't know what to expect.
- 4:33Speaker 1: I didn't expect to like it.
- 4:35Speaker 2: But here we are. It was quite good.
- 4:39Speaker 1: And James Gunn is warning us that the hopefulness of Superman,
- 4:44Speaker 1: which opens this weekend.
- 4:46Speaker 2: Oh okay, I think it's this weekend. Anyway, it's holiday weekend.
- 4:49Speaker 2: I probably is. It's it's a.
- 4:51Speaker 1: Movie filled with hope, he said, don't expect the same
- 4:54Speaker 1: when I make the Supergirl movie. Here's what he had
- 4:58Speaker 1: to say, Flashback Krypton are always a possibility, but I
- 5:02Speaker 1: think those things are really integral to the two characters
- 5:05Speaker 1: and the differences between them, and that Clark really does.
- 5:09Speaker 1: He had a happy childhood, a good upbringing. He had
- 5:13Speaker 1: parents who loved him, easygoing upbringing. That makes him the
- 5:17Speaker 1: least dysfunctional of superheroes in so many ways. Supergirl, however,
- 5:22Speaker 1: especially our DCU Supergirl, is a mess. I mean she's
- 5:27Speaker 1: had real issues growing up, and it's all based on
- 5:29Speaker 1: this comic book by Tom King, who's an excellent writer,
- 5:32Speaker 1: where she watched person after person after person dying in
- 5:36Speaker 1: front of her as her piece of the planet is disintegrated.
- 5:40Speaker 2: Well, that never makes for a good personality. That's not
- 5:43Speaker 2: a hopeful superhero. That's a yeah.
- 5:46Speaker 1: But I encourage you to try to find that comic book.
- 5:48Speaker 1: It's called Supergirl World or Girl of Tomorrow. I think
- 5:51Speaker 1: it's a real moment by Tom King, very very good,
- 5:55Speaker 1: so check it out.
