- Mark Hayes (00:02.798) Alright ladies and gentlemen, welcome back. Another exciting edition live of Two Men in Black and White and Honest Conversation. A couple of yahoos with streaming capability looking at the shit show that is the political circus of America through the black and white community lenses. Settle down, fella. I got my dog here. Even he's sick of it. We've moved on from the shooting. We said our thoughts and prayers Saturday night and forgot all about it. Just like they do with school shootings, President at the White House Correspondents' Dinner, I don't know why they're having it at the Hilton anyway. They keep talking about how difficult it is to lock it down. But Brock, my issue, we just had eight years of perfect protection with the only black president ever in the history of time. And we didn't have one single incident. And he had more death threats than anybody. ever has had while occupying the Oval. And here we got four so-called assassination attempts by, you know, against this Yahoo. I don't buy it. I don't buy it. I'm saying it was staged probably again. Brock Ganeles (01:18.836) You're going with the stage. think it's, I don't go stage because I'm not, don't go conspiracy theory. And I don't think that the Trump team is smart enough to figure out how to stage something and not have it be leaked. So I just don't buy that they're slick enough to even pull it off and not get caught right away. I think almost every aspect of the shooting and the aftermath and the video we see, you know, in it is a clown show. Mark Hayes (01:20.162) I'm going with the stage situation. Mark Hayes (01:29.112) Well, that's it. Brock Ganeles (01:48.724) Like every aspect. First of all, shoot the would be assassin is kind of a clown supposedly is a technical whiz. Like how the fuck did he possibly think that plan was going to work? Mark Hayes (02:01.43) He didn't. He didn't expect it to work. He couldn't have. Not a guy with that level of intelligence. What is he, an engineer? Like, a rocket scientist? Like, this guy is smart. And you mean to tell me you thought you were going to get through uniform division, secret service, then jog the half mile to the front of the dais to get a shot off at the president? Come on. Brock Ganeles (02:27.071) So this might be like the poster child for being book smart versus street smart because he wasn't street smart. He was going to get through the whole lobby of all the Secret Service. He was going to get down the stairwell into the main room and get shots off at Trump. Mark Hayes (02:33.422) Brock Ganeles (02:45.319) So he, mean, was that the strategy he sat down? He plotted that he had that game planned out. mean, so starting with the shooter, just idiotic, maybe out of death, maybe has mental issues. Maybe he wanted to die. I don't understand why he wasn't shot and killed. Mark Hayes (03:03.139) Right. Brock Ganeles (03:03.443) Like they chose to tackle him and like pull his shirt off. guess they were seeing if he had a bomb strapped to him or whatever the photo first photos that came out of the shirt off. So why was he tackled if he actually had guns and that kind of weaponry? Why would the first reaction be to tackle him and not shoot him? So even the good guy with a gun theory didn't seem to play out. So that was kind of odd. The reaction in the room was really funny. Mark Hayes (03:22.702) Alright. Mark Hayes (03:31.84) It was weird. Brock Ganeles (03:33.055) It was weird. Everything about it was, Cash Patel, head of FBI, is hiding under a table. Mark Hayes (03:36.119) Yes. Dunk it under the table. Brock Ganeles (03:42.106) RFK Jr. is sprinting out of the room with security while Cheryl Hines is behind him in high heels trying to catch up and step over tables. I said earlier, Larry David would have shown more courage in the moment. Mark Hayes (03:51.884) Wait for me, honey. Mark Hayes (03:59.263) You Brock Ganeles (03:59.796) Then you had the random guy who just sat there continuing to eat his meal like a guy on the deck of the Titanic playing violin as if nothing was going on around him. And then my favorites was the people who were like the crows, the vultures who were running around scooping bottles of liquor off the tables. their party was not going to be derailed. Mark Hayes (04:04.654) you Mark Hayes (04:10.999) Okay. Mark Hayes (04:24.254) Unbelievable. That's not gonna be such a... Brock Ganeles (04:28.831) They were not gonna be denied The free cocktails that they were promised because they were like, they didn't want to go but the boss is like free cocktails. I'm in So that's what struck me and before I turn it back to you and the other is like just the embarrassment of the press corps Which shouldn't have been there Mark Hayes (04:39.144) Right. Mark Hayes (04:47.772) Ugh. Ugh. Brock Ganeles (04:49.501) But like the wolf blitzer, recklessly reporting from the bathroom, like it was like they pulled that dinosaur, didn't realize he was still alive. Like given in, you you think he was in the front lines of Vietnam pretending like the whole fucking thing was some, you know, dramatic moment. It was a nothing burger and typical for the Trump administration. was a combination of farce and company and incompetence. Mark Hayes (05:03.406) Right. Mark Hayes (05:10.83) Thank Mark Hayes (05:17.3) Ineptitude, yeah, incompetence. Yeah, you know, we were in the middle of a couple of cocktails in a basketball game when the breaking news coverage broke in and I was thoroughly annoyed. I just, you know, and we happened to be sitting with a Homeland Security official was in the building. enjoying some cocktails with us and I asked him if he could hear anything in his little earpiece. He said he didn't have it on but you know it was just a joke. I even them and I know because I've tried to do this before with Breaking News Story where you're trying to make it look as if it's important for the viewer right and that's not easy to do and that's what it felt like. It felt like somebody saying stretch you know, until we can get somebody on the phone or until we can get somebody live, right? And, you know, it didn't, it just didn't carry any weight for me. You know, this guy was locked down inside of what, a minute, two minutes, and you know it's inconsequential when they keep showing the same stuff over and over again, right? Because, They're waiting for other stuff to come in and there's nothing coming. There was nothing to send, right? Brock Ganeles (06:46.039) Nothing else. The story's over. He never got close. He was a joker. He got tackled. Story's over. Cancel the party. Everybody go home. There was no steak after the sizzle. And the whole thing was boring. Mark Hayes (06:52.629) Yeah! Mark Hayes (07:04.014) And you know the funny thing? Yeah, the funny thing I saw our guide Troubled Waters, Reese Waters on YouTube yesterday. He had the clip from Caroline Lyon-Levitt that said prior to the event that shots will be fired. Wow. Too soon? Too soon, ma'am. She is, you know, I... When is she going on maternity leave? Brock Ganeles (07:34.592) She was supposed to go. came back in to handle the barrage of questions that were going to come in relative to the shooting. she's asked to put another. She's decided she needs to be that voice because she's the trusted voice of the administration. So she needs that she needs to tow that party line. But it became even more of a mockery with the immediate segue to an argument about why there needs to be a ballroom. Mark Hayes (07:39.422) now we're too in soup. Mark Hayes (07:50.294) Yes. Mark Hayes (07:54.082) the operative word you trust. Brock Ganeles (08:04.925) for like, like it really, became a whole play. Like the, the entire MAGA movement was in lockstep that you gotta talk ballroom now. And Trump scrambles back to the White House to do, I guess you can't go out a press conference cause there's no press, but just to make a statement and immediately just launch into why. You know, they need to like have an injunction and no, I have an override to the injunction against the ballroom for security reasons. So like everything becomes as usual, some corrupt grifting game. You know, we know just the payments already going out relative to that ballroom are already skeptical and shady and somehow became a national discussion on Trump's fucking ballroom. Once again, America does not fucking care about his ballroom. Doesn't care. They don't have food on the fucking table. Their electricity bills are quadrupled. Mark Hayes (08:44.34) Mm-hmm. Yep. Yep. Mark Hayes (08:55.202) Do it. At all. Mark Hayes (09:01.772) Right, right. And you know, here's the thing too, Brock. You know, that thing's not even on solid legal footing that he was able to do that. I mean, he just did it and basically, you know, steamrolled. What, 245 years of history? He wasn't supposed to be able to do that. That's our house. Brock Ganeles (09:28.605) Yeah, he still might not be able to. That's the court issue that's being disputed and he's trying to get it fast-tracked because his work around is for security reasons. Mark Hayes (09:32.172) Right? Brock Ganeles (09:42.768) So now he's saying, if there's a shooting at the hotel, this is why we need a ballroom to host events like this, because it's not safe out there. So I thought the funniest thing I saw on social media was someone who said like, every every every school needs a ballroom. Mark Hayes (09:50.369) Mm-hmm. Mark Hayes (09:58.752) Right, right, right, absolutely. You know, where the students can all go and be safe. All right? Brock Ganeles (10:01.631) Yeah, because and safe. Yeah, because there's no safety anywhere. Everyone needs their ballroom. We all need a personal ballroom just to get through the day because we can't have gun control. So we just need ballrooms everywhere. Mark Hayes (10:15.786) and how about the pedophile line on 60 Minutes, where Noah O'Donnell asked Chido Mussolini about the manifesto from Coley Cole, and Coley Cole, like I know him, Cole Allen, the suspect there, where he called the president and others, pedophiles, and said he wouldn't have his hands dirtied. you know, buy these folks. And he just said, you know, excuse me, excuse me, you're terrible person. All he does is start, you're upset because the alleged shooter called you a name, but then you immediately started calling this woman a name, telling her she's terrible and she's a joke. Brock Ganeles (11:07.379) But she really nailed him because because manifesto just said leadership and didn't. And then Trump said that he's not a pedophile. I think she said something like, you know, he didn't say that you were you weren't mentioned specifically. But actually, the man I didn't read the whole manifesto, but the little burbs that I saw is like, Jesus, I mean, I kind of I agree with Cole Allen. Yeah. Yeah. He's upset about the policies that are negatively impacting him and the American people. Mark Hayes (11:18.058) You're right. Mark Hayes (11:29.454) I mean Mark Hayes (11:35.692) Surprise. Brock Ganeles (11:35.784) I mean, Cole Allen had better messaging than the Democratic Party. This manifesto was pretty spot on. Now, we're not saying that you should like, although he bought his firearms legally, you should be running through the lobbies of hotels trying to get at the president with firearms. But the manifesto had some pretty valid points in it. Mark Hayes (11:40.224) Immediately. Somebody should grab that manifesto. What it is. What it is is commercial. Mark Hayes (11:56.45) trying to kill people. Mark Hayes (12:03.468) Yep. And here's the thing too, Brock. I mean, we're talking about living on the edge here with political violence. See, immediately whose fault is it? Well, it's the Democrats' fault. That's the messaging out of, you know, MAGA world on Earth three over there, Earth two, wherever the hell they are now, you know, talking all crazy how the, you know, Democrats have, you know, stoked this fire, you know, for people to come after. the greatest president of all time. I mean, it's a joke that the constant and steady flow of political violence, you know, because they didn't care anything about the Hortmans up in Minnesota when they were gunned down, right? Nothing stopped, right? But we had the flags that have staff for Charlie Kirk, right? A man who was a racist right down to his very last breath. Brock Ganeles (13:02.975) So Mark, let me ask you this. First of all, that was very much a white person's event last night. Maybe what? Five, 10 people in the room that were people of color, right? The administration, all white people, the press, pretty much all white people. Maybe there were a couple, you you just, you saw the videos panning the room, right? That was a white person's event. But since we like to talk about things in the scope of black and white, Mark Hayes (13:13.11) Did you see that, Mark Hayes (13:20.141) Yeah! Mark Hayes (13:27.181) This is... Brock Ganeles (13:32.839) Was the shooter white or black? Mark Hayes (13:35.438) He looked biracial. He had curly hair. Could have been biracial. Brock Ganeles (13:42.556) And once again, it's going to lead me to the topic of why race is such a fucking joke as a construct, because we have no fucking idea. We have no idea. Could be mixed, could be that. We have no fucking idea from the photos we've seen so far, white or black. And it doesn't matter, but it matters to lot of MAGA, right? There's a lot of people in this country who it really matters to. I still haven't word. Mark Hayes (13:48.128) Right. He's human. Mark Hayes (13:59.321) Well, it matters to Trump. Yeah. Brock Ganeles (14:09.727) 36 hours past the event and I still haven't seen any identification of the shooter. They may be going through his family tree to try to find some black heritage just to make sure they can pin it down. Mark Hayes (14:14.998) identifiers. Yeah. Well. Mark Hayes (14:22.722) Just so they can blame it on us? I mean, come on now. That's what they like to do on that side. Brock Ganeles (14:30.781) Yeah, but they're not going to want to acknowledge it's a black guy with all those degrees and that kind of science background. He doesn't fit the mold that well. So it's a little trick. It's a little tricky for them. They have to admit the guy's really smart and well-schooled, but he's also violent and dangerous. They all are like stereotypes are to are buttoned into each other on this one. So think they're just leaving it alone. Mark Hayes (14:38.222) Yeah. He's smarter, isn't he? The angster. Mark Hayes (14:51.736) Right. Yeah. Well, because they can't tell, you know, and I've only seen it. Yeah, yeah, they're going to live party. Brock Ganeles (14:56.647) Yeah, He's a Lib target. He's a Democrat. So just throw him in the Democrat camp. That's easier. Easier to paint him that way than actually figure out who he is as a human being. Mark Hayes (15:05.59) Right, right. But you know, getting back to the political violence, it's really, it's out of control. We should not be in such a violent society. But this is why there are travel warnings to the United States. This is exactly why, because there's too much gun play in all of our major cities. I don't care if you live in Chicago, Seattle, Baltimore. Atlanta, Brooklyn. Brock Ganeles (15:36.978) I think it's beyond our beyond our major cities like there's guns everywhere. Look at all these shootings They're happening in random Davenport, Iowa and like, you know rural Texas like I mean Is there a safe haven in America? You know member the bitch shooting in Maine last year guy went in and gunned down like ten people at a bar like Mark Hayes (15:40.514) Right. Yes! Mark Hayes (15:58.361) Yes! Yes! Brock Ganeles (16:01.139) I just, I think it's always been viewed as an urban problem, but I think we're way beyond that. Parkland, Florida. Mark Hayes (16:08.674) Yeah, but remember, the media can't sell it beyond the urban issue, right? Because if you sell it beyond the urban issue, now we've got to talk to white folks about the way they handle guns. Brock Ganeles (16:23.325) Kyle Rittenhouse was in like Waukesha, Wisconsin or something that ain't any urban urban center is like that's like. Mark Hayes (16:27.373) Yep. Yeah, but he was a soldier. He was going there to save building and to protect property. And his mom bought him. So he had permission to be there. Just didn't have permission to take that massive firearm across state lines. But let's not call that a crime. That's not a federal offense or anything. And then, of course, his tear ducts were removed, I think, while he was on house arrest or something. Brock Ganeles (16:35.273) protect. yeah. Mark Hayes (17:00.076) But nonetheless, the media can't sell a problem with guns in the white community. Right? Think about how that goes over. That goes over like a lead balloon, buddy. That's just, white people are just not gonna tolerate being talked to like that. Right? You're not gonna come out here and tell us, know. There you go. There you go. Brock Ganeles (17:20.211) White people are responsible gun owners. Responsible gun owners just invoking their Second Amendment rights. They're not thugs that we need to be afraid of. Mark Hayes (17:29.28) All day, every day. Right. And that's the same. I don't know if you've seen the crack cocaine epidemic, but it really focuses on the media's, you know, vilification of the black woman. If you ever get a chance to take a look at the crack epidemic documentary on Netflix, crack, it's called crack. Yeah. Take a look at it. It is absolutely frightening. Brock Ganeles (17:54.793) What's it called? Mark Hayes (18:01.602) with the way the entire epidemic went down. And if you don't believe that our government was complicit in it, you will after you watch that and you put two and two together. But back to the political violence, we're only gonna see more as these races ramp up, they get tighter. We're gonna have one down here. We got Keisha Lance Bottoms, former mayor of Atlanta. going against any number of Ruby Red Republican Maga types. And you know it's gonna get, because it's gonna be the urban centers versus rural Georgia. And that's the battle. Brock Ganeles (18:50.143) That's you're gonna say versus real America. Mark Hayes (18:52.204) Yeah, yeah, yeah. Because we know where real America lives. Out there. Brock Ganeles (18:57.535) Well also as lives get more desperate and anger boils up, mean people can't afford their insulin, they're going to turn to violence. They can't eat, can't get their health care, like desperation leads to desperate times, leads to desperate acts. So I just feel like America is more afraid. Guns are obviously readily available. Mark Hayes (19:08.215) Yes. Yes. Mark Hayes (19:25.868) More afraid or angry. Less healthy. Brock Ganeles (19:26.031) and there's just going to be more and more incidents. It's easy to boil over. More angry people, quicker to the trigger. Mark Hayes (19:34.062) Another movie reference, the movie Crash, I don't know if you've seen that, it talks about how... Crash, I mean, isn't that the perfect word for what we're doing right now as our communities are constantly crashing into each other through violent means? And, you know, it's gotta stop. Brock Ganeles (19:38.417) Of course I've seen Crash Academy Award winner. Brock Ganeles (19:56.992) It doesn't have to be that way. could be, you know, not crashing into each other. We could be like reaching out to each other. We could be trying to make each other's lives better. We could be working together to restore fabric of America. We could be putting, we could be embracing our differences, not always equating difference with conflict. Right? Me and you are different. Mark Hayes (19:59.789) You're right, right. Could be talking to each other. Brock Ganeles (20:22.899) doesn't mean we have to start with conflict. it's just, they're not necessarily synonymous, but like we make them synonymous, right? We make it like factions, almost like we have a bunch of gangs, you know, like our cultures are gangs and like, there's no, you know, sad reality is younger generations don't think that way for the most part or less so. And we're so much more intermingled. Like you said, the shooter may have been biracial. Mark Hayes (20:29.566) No! No! Mark Hayes (20:34.797) Right? Mark Hayes (20:40.558) Good luck. Mark Hayes (20:44.366) Right. Mark Hayes (20:51.938) Yep. Brock Ganeles (20:52.935) So he got the best and worst of all of us in him, right? Mark Hayes (20:55.798) And Brock, think about who is least representative in our government, right? The people who least think like those who are in government. Our young people are not well represented in government. And they are the ones who are likely to get us out of this mess, out of this, you know, these, I see all kinds of kids hanging out together. You know, walk through them all sometimes. Now take a look at the kids that you see, you know, hanging out together. They are all kinds of flavors. Brock Ganeles (21:31.539) You can make me walk through the mall. I'll watch the documentary, but don't make me walk through the mall. I gotta do a field trip now to the mall? shit. Mark Hayes (21:34.958) Well, take a look at Summer House. Brock Ganeles (21:41.391) I ain't spending money because I'm boycotting like 50 % of the companies that are in there. Jesus Christ, I can't find anyone I can buy from anymore. Mark Hayes (21:44.974) But you know what I'm saying, I mean these kids are... Yeah! Brock Ganeles (21:53.313) I know I hear you. No, no, younger. It's different. Yeah, but they're not. But but 92 year old Chuck Grassley is fourth in line for the presidency right now. Mark Hayes (22:02.112) Right. And couldn't get out of the way of a mashed potato. I mean, he was what, the last one out of there? As he's hollered, he's screaming at the top of his lungs, nobody can hear him, eating that breath left. Good gracious. You know, but it is what it is, And, you know, unfortunately, or fortunately, we're gonna keep having these conversations until somebody listens or we shake somebody loose. Brock Ganeles (22:29.93) mean, it's going to be more violence. don't know. Once again, we're going to test America's breaking point for these types of things. Let's subject jump a little, I'm curious your take. What's your take on King Charles and Queen Camilla coming to visit our mad king? I think they landed this evening for a couple of days of bonding. Mark Hayes (22:50.486) Yeah, well, you know, again, the royal family, are the original, right? They're the original racists. If you look at Britain and how little diversity they have in their culture, in their ecosystem, if you will, it doesn't surprise me that they're a fan of the Mad King or they want to be allied with him. But I thought they had a little more cooth. I thought they would stay out of the way because they obviously differ on what should happen to those who have participated in the Epstein saga. know, Trump is a bull in a China shop. He doesn't have anywhere near the grace or the polish to be in a room with royalty, whether you believe they're royalty or not. I'm surprised. I was surprised that they held an audience for him over there when he went over there. Brock Ganeles (23:57.121) So you're really surprised that they made the trip. Yeah. I hadn't thought of that angle on the Epstein files because Charles was harsh on Andrew when he stepped in, So I'm conflicted on it because first of all, I hate the Royal family. think the whole construct is total bullshit and fucking waste of money. Although they do have one job, which is to be sort of um, ceremonial heads of state and do trips like this. So as much as Mark Hayes (23:59.79) Yeah. Mark Hayes (24:04.917) Very much so. Mark Hayes (24:12.27) Good job. Mark Hayes (24:19.458) Yep. Yes. Right. Brock Ganeles (24:23.488) And you know, by the way, Charles was really big on green energy, too, which Trump is a fossil fuel fucking zealot. And so they clash really philosophically. But they got me to thinking today I was going to cut him a little bit of a break because I'm like, God damn, they're earning their paycheck on this one because I can't imagine King Charles got up one morning and said, well, I really want to fly across the Atlantic and spend some time with Donald Trump. Like someone must have someone must have convinced him or coerced him that this Mark Hayes (24:47.778) Hmm. Brock Ganeles (24:53.602) was important could help the relations between the two countries. So he's stuck coming over here and fucking having to spend 48 hours or so with Trump shitting in his pants and talking crazy shit and Melania sneering. So like maybe this is one of those few times where the royal family earns their paycheck because he's doing the dirty work. No one else really wants that assignment, right? Mark Hayes (24:54.496) necessary. Mark Hayes (25:10.421) Right. Right. Mark Hayes (25:21.962) at all. And then you've got to touch, you got to shake his hand. I mean, who wants to do that? I mean... Brock Ganeles (25:25.152) Ugh. Sit next to him at dinner and hear him like rant about shit? Wind farms and shit like that? Mark Hayes (25:31.893) He might adjust his diaper. He might adjust the diaper and then stick his hand out to shake yours. What are gonna do? You got 30,000 cameras standing there. You know, he comes up with a, you know, a handful of chunky jif and, you know, smears it in your palm. Anyway, the whole thing for Prince, for the royal family, for the royals rather, Charles and Camilla, Brock Ganeles (25:41.662) Yeah. Top of Simon. Mark Hayes (26:02.006) has got to be like punishment. you know, someone add an axe to grind with them to make them come and sit next to those two, you know, for hours at nauseam and talk about nothing because Trump's going to forget everything he said five minutes ago. Brock Ganeles (26:10.516) Yeah. Yeah. Brock Ganeles (26:16.864) Yeah, I'm actually going to tune in and see some if they do joint press conference or something like this. I just want to see the body language and kind of watch because, you know, no one's stuffier than than the king, King Charles, and then no one's more less cooth. Mark Hayes (26:27.353) yeah. Oof. Brock Ganeles (26:32.318) than our fucking dementia ridden food. So there might be some comedy at least that comes out of it. But most of the world is just walking away from us. So I guess England is still sort of engaging. Canada is out creating like a sovereign wealth fund that's going to get them investing around us. German Chancellor was out basically saying that Iran is embarrassing us in the war and telling us like in essence to get our shit together and clean this shit up. Mark Hayes (26:33.57) Mm-hmm. Mark Hayes (26:58.552) Yep. Brock Ganeles (27:01.054) Fix it, end it, right? Spain's already said we can't use their fucking air. A lot of Spain and others have said they can't use their airspace. Trump tried to barrel in and get Iran kicked out of the World Cup and told Italy they could replace them. Italy refused. They said, no, we earn it. We didn't win. We're not being inserted into the World Cup by you fucking asshole leader of America. Mark Hayes (27:16.994) Mm-mm. Right. Mark Hayes (27:25.208) Right. Brock Ganeles (27:26.58) Yeah, I mean, we're just being like mocked, laughed at, ignored, worked around by just about everyone else in the world. Mark Hayes (27:34.953) And as a rhyme keeps putting out these Lego mix tapes and they are hitting hard. If you stop and listen to the lyrics, I mean, they are going in on all of our sore spots. They're talking about taxes. They're talking about. You know, this being Israel's war, you know, they're talking about the Epstein files. They're talking about a president lying to us. They're talking about JD Vance and his, you know, and I mean, they are hitting us where we live. Brock Ganeles (28:07.796) They turned around a video, a Lego video on the shooting. looked like within like 12 hours. Yeah, they turned one out mocking the whole event, you know, just making fun of us in every which way about our love for guns. mean, they hit us on everything. Mark Hayes (28:13.739) in hours? Yeah! Mark Hayes (28:20.95) Yes! Mark Hayes (28:25.15) everywhere. it's a steady, they're like Iran MTV over there, Lego MTV, they are killing it. And again, winning the propaganda war. Brock Ganeles (28:37.682) and arguably winning the war because nothing's happening. Like they're just showing more power. They're outlasting us and they've mucked up the entire international economy. So they're feeling more powerful and it seems like we're reticent to keep bombing them because it made us look like war criminals and was hurting Trump's polling basically. You know, when you bomb and kill 168 school children, it's bad for Trump's approval numbers. Mark Hayes (28:50.222) Mm-hmm. Mark Hayes (29:03.838) it's bad for anybody's numbers, especially his, you know, and we're only in this because of his alleged crimes against children, which makes it even worse. You know, again, you know, I wish I could teleport 125 years, 150 years into the future and read the history books, this section only, just to see how history remembers These morons. Brock Ganeles (29:34.144) We as the American people during this time are not going to be written about kindly either because it's going to be similar to what citizens in other countries are saying right now is like when are you the American people going to do something about this is affecting all of us and they're wondering when we're going to act. Mark Hayes (29:40.086) Finally, either. No. No. Mark Hayes (29:48.63) gonna do something. Right, right, right. We're impacting people half a global way and doing nothing about it. Doing nothing about it. What a joke. Yeah, yeah. Brock Ganeles (30:03.456) waiting for the midterms. Someone in the chat said that they had a photo with an Israeli army shirt on the shooter. Could be Israeli. I don't know. We're gonna let that sort out. Someone's gonna figure out. In the end, not that it even matters, but we wanna know. All right. Mark Hayes (30:12.494) Mark Hayes (30:17.335) Yeah. That didn't matter. It only made for propaganda. What do you got for a quick hit? Let's get out of here. Brock Ganeles (30:26.226) Okay, let's talk a little sports. And let's talk through the lens of black and white. I'm not sure these are sports questions, but they're sports adjacent. Mark Hayes (30:28.949) Okay. Brock Ganeles (30:36.52) What's the chatter in the black community on the Klay Thompson Megan D. Stallion thing? In fact, if this is a woman show, I already showed my misogyny by putting Klay Thompson first. It's probably a Megan D. Stallion Klay Thompson story. She's in her prime. He's sort of at the end of his career. But what's the, what's the read? My feed is being filled up with comments. Mark Hayes (30:51.5) Yeah. Yeah. Yeah, yeah, mean, it's definitely a hot story. Now here's the thing. Meghan has caught some strays because of her issue with the Tory Lane's deal. know, Tory Lane's is serving, I think a 10 year sentence maybe in LA for firing a weapon that actually injured her, shot her in the foot. Yeah, yes, Tory Lane's is actually still in prison. Brock Ganeles (31:18.88) the shot in the foot, that guy. the one she got shot in the foot. Okay. Mark Hayes (31:27.596) I don't know where the lie was, but apparently there was some sort of indication that, you know, Meg may have lied on Tory Lane's at some point. don't, now that's too deep into the culture for me. I just watch documentaries. I'm not actually part of the culture anymore. I'm too old. But you know, there's also, you know, this... Brock Ganeles (31:40.809) Okay. Brock Ganeles (31:44.927) Okay. Mark Hayes (31:57.237) Ugly rumor going around that Megan is not the the best girlfriend to have around your man She'll steal. She's mr. Steal your man or Mrs. Steal your man. So I don't know what's going on You know clay Thompson You know for for for the most part hell of a player But has been a great citizen off the off the court. You haven't heard anything about clay getting in trouble you know, worked with his uncle over at NBA Entertainment years and years ago. But, you know, you never, never hear anything about him getting in trouble, you know, making any kind of off-color comedy. He just goes about his business and, you know, has a history of dating really, really gorgeous women. Brock Ganeles (32:47.89) Is there consensus on who's in the wrong? Before you answer that, would I find? mean, to me, it's just like entertaining to see it you know, scroll by and that the story is going on is like the thing that catches me is that like, why are people so invested in celebrity couples? Why does anybody care whether they're happy, sad together, not together? Like. It doesn't impact anyone else's life, so why is there such? You know. Mark Hayes (33:04.556) I was gonna say the same thing. Mark Hayes (33:16.014) I don't know. Yeah, I have no idea why people are so invested in someone else's romance. You you got two multi, multi, multi millionaires, right, trying to figure it out. I mean, you gotta, I'm thinking to myself, how do two rich kids like that not figure it out? You know? Brock Ganeles (33:17.214) That's me of interest. Brock Ganeles (33:40.353) Okay, I'm going to leave it at, Clay's like 10 years older than her. I don't think that shit ever really, really works. They're in different points in life and shit goes sideways. Second quick hit is related. We're still in sports. You're a media guy. Is it in or out of bounds that the media is asking Paige Becker's and Ozzy Fudd about their personal relationship? Mark Hayes (33:44.588) It could, yeah, could be a little bit of a gap there. Yeah. Brock Ganeles (34:08.86) in press conferences that are ostensibly about being basketball teammates. Mark Hayes (34:15.2) Yeah, I mean, if I was working media right now. I mean, I'm sure my desk would want me to ask that question, but I wouldn't. It's not my business. Doesn't impact anything on the court. I mean, to me, you know, they're professionals now. We never asked that question of any NFL guys, NBA guys, right? because we didn't know whether or not they were having a relationship. Why are we having two different standards? You know, I just don't think it's fair. You should be able to love who you wanna love, marry who you wanna marry in a free country, in a free society. And I think it's patently unfair to treat these women like this and to try to bully them. Not a sports question. Brock Ganeles (35:03.36) You're saying out of bounds, not a sports question unless unless something happens on the court in terms of performance that it's it's out of bounds. That's basically what Paige Becker's told the media today that it's not that she actually came out and said it's none of their business and nothing has ever affected their performance on the court. So she actually got asked the question again and answered it. I think she tried to put a Mark Hayes (35:12.376) Right. Mark Hayes (35:18.198) Yeah, good for her. Good for her, Pete. Mark Hayes (35:27.792) I wouldn't. Brock Ganeles (35:32.586) put a lid on future questions on the topic. Mark Hayes (35:32.822) a button on it. Right. Well, you know what? You know, the media thinks they can bully people with their microphone and they can't. You know, and, you know, all she has to do is pull, you know, pull a Dennis Rodman or, you know, one of the other, un-media friendly types, you know, from the bad Brock Ganeles (35:54.878) Marshawn Lynch, I'm here because they're gonna find me or whatever. Mark Hayes (35:58.167) Yeah, I'm just here so I don't get fined. Brock Ganeles (36:00.871) I'm sorry. One of the greatest press conferences of all time. All What do got for me? Mark Hayes (36:02.989) There you go. All right, Jam Master Jay. One more man is left to be sentenced in the killing of Jam Master Jay, man. Just the sad, sad loss of a legend. know, as soon as the song came out, I went out and bought a pair of Adidas. You know, I had to get the ones with no shoestrings in them. I did not win them. I bought them off the ad with the black lead denims. I like to sport them. That's why I bought them. So I had to have my Adidas. you know, I just remember 2002, he was murdered. And I remember a good friend of mine that I came up in the business with, Kathy Hobbs was working at WPIX in New York and was reporting on the on the murder and I was like, I was hurt, man. And come to find out it was an old friend and I think a godson or something like a loosely related relative, you know, that were the major perpetrators of the crime. you know, all through, you know, hip hop history, we'd always heard great things about Run DMC. You never remember hearing any issues with Run DMC. And they're the pioneers of this thing. And being from New York, I mean, you always had this kind of hometown pride about these guys. I mean, we weren't from Queens, but they were from New York and we claimed them as much. Brock Ganeles (37:31.368) years. Brock Ganeles (37:42.058) Yeah. So today, somebody admitted, right, one of the perpetrators actually admitted to the crime that many years later. Mark Hayes (37:46.903) If it had guilt, yeah. Yeah. Yeah. So I guess this guy was holding the door or something as the other two guys were firing away at Jay. you know, it's just sad, sad, sad end to that saga. And, you know, there was, again, more senseless violence in the hip hop industry. And I think I sent you a blurb on a guy talking about The dangers, basically what they're calling it now is crash out music. know, violent hip hop lyrics, gangster rap, whatever you want to call it. And we're wondering why these kids are so violent, but yet the entire generation is listening to violent hip hop music, right? Which all changed if you go back to 1991, right in line with the crime bill. and you saw the prison population numbers skyrocket exponentially. We went from 700,000 incarcerated individuals to 2.3 million. And now we even have states, and I'm gonna do the, I gotta get the exact states because my mind is playing tricks on me. We have states now that are being sued by private prison groups because, the states are not providing enough prisoners. They're at 50 % capacity. The states promised 80%. And the private prison company wants them to make up the difference with cash payments. And the states can't afford it. Brock Ganeles (39:29.29) Yeah, we're too busy filling the concentration camps that we're not filling the prisons. Mark Hayes (39:34.402) Boom. How you like them apples? How's that for capitalism? You promised me bodies. Brock Ganeles (39:42.024) Unbelievable. We need more bodies. We'll make marijuana illegal again. Mark Hayes (39:48.866) Yeah, you promised me bodies. States change their laws and all of sudden, whoa, the prison population shrinks. How about that? You need to pay for that. Brock Ganeles (39:59.913) Unbelievable. Mark Hayes (40:01.912) Sad stuff, huh? Yeah, man, it's awful. All right, buddy, that's it for us. We're outta here. Revolution. Yes, sir. Brock Ganeles (40:03.444) That's terrible. Brock Ganeles (40:07.712) All right, Mark, always a pleasure. All right, talk to you tomorrow.
