Latest / The Mark Simone Show / Hour 3: Mamdani's 9-11 motives.
Transcript
- 0:00Speaker 1: Mark Simone, the issues you really care about on 710WOR.
- 0:07Speaker 2: Well, Mayor Mangani plotting, scheming, plotting all kinds of 9-11 crap.
- 0:15Speaker 2: I don't know what he's up to, but as mentioned,
- 0:19Speaker 2: as you know, when he signed the bill about fighting terrorism,
- 0:23Speaker 2: he hands the pen to the terrorist lawyer to signal
- 0:27Speaker 2: that he's not really behind this bill. He's showing up
- 0:30Speaker 2: at the 9-11 ceremony, totally unwanted. And the families, of course,
- 0:36Speaker 2: have all signed that petition. A lot of people have
- 0:39Speaker 2: signed the petition that he not come to the 9-11
- 0:42Speaker 2: ceremony on Friday. 100,000 signatures on there. And this might
- 0:48Speaker 2: look like a good act on his part. He released
- 0:54Speaker 2: all the secret documents showing that the government, the city, state, local, Federal,
- 1:00Speaker 2: all the government people all knew the air quality was
- 1:03Speaker 2: dangerous and bad and covered it up. So Mamdani appeared
- 1:08Speaker 2: alongside 9-11 families and John Stewart was there. He's always
- 1:12Speaker 2: been latching onto this cause. And he released the documents.
- 1:18Speaker 2: It's about 150,000 pages of documents saying they absolutely knew
- 1:23Speaker 2: the air quality was poisonous. They knew it was bad.
- 1:27Speaker 2: They covered it up. You remember the famous Christine Todd Whitman,
- 1:30Speaker 2: who was in the administration at the time, administration official,
- 1:37Speaker 2: saying the air quality is fine, nothing to worry about.
- 1:39Speaker 2: So why would he do this? This seems like a
- 1:43Speaker 2: good thing to do to release all this. He put
- 1:45Speaker 2: out a searchable portal so you can search through the
- 1:48Speaker 2: documents and look at stuff. And apparently this is not it.
- 1:52Speaker 2: There's 150,000 pages of documents, but apparently there's a lot
- 1:55Speaker 2: more that could be coming out. So why would he
- 1:58Speaker 2: release that? I mean, if I had to guess, I
- 2:02Speaker 2: think he's in some kind of war with this 9-11 stuff.
- 2:06Speaker 2: And that's why he would hand the pen to the
- 2:09Speaker 2: lawyer of terrorists, of Al-Qaeda terrorists. And I think by
- 2:13Speaker 2: releasing this, he's looking to discredit everybody that's thought of
- 2:18Speaker 2: positively with 9-11. He's looking to discredit George Pataki, Rudy Giuliani,
- 2:26Speaker 2: all the figures that were there on 9-11, all the
- 2:29Speaker 2: heroes of 9-11 government. I think he's looking to discredit
- 2:33Speaker 2: them completely by releasing this. Because people are already saying, well,
- 2:38Speaker 2: how could Christine Todd Whitman make those statements if she
- 2:41Speaker 2: knew all this stuff? Well, they're going to start to think, well,
- 2:43Speaker 2: wait a minute. Why didn't George Pataki let us know?
- 2:46Speaker 2: Why didn't Rudy Giuliani let us know? Why didn't all
- 2:49Speaker 2: those commissioners and officials and everybody let us know? Why
- 2:53Speaker 2: didn't the city government let us know? Why didn't the
- 2:56Speaker 2: Bloomberg administration let us know if they had these documents?
- 2:58Speaker 2: If Mamdani found them, why didn't the Bloomberg administration find them?
- 3:02Speaker 2: Why didn't the de Blasio administration find them? So I
- 3:05Speaker 2: think that's his purpose in releasing this, just to totally
- 3:09Speaker 2: discredit the establishment government. It's sort of become him against
- 3:14Speaker 2: all the 9-11 government figures. He's looking to discredit them.
- 3:18Speaker 2: That's why he released it. And it's getting some attention,
- 3:24Speaker 2: not as much attention as you think, but that could build.
- 3:28Speaker 2: The steel from the World Trade Center, that big chunk
- 3:34Speaker 2: of steel from 9-11, it's been touring the country to
- 3:38Speaker 2: honor first responders. It's been going to various cities. It
- 3:43Speaker 2: arrived at the White House this morning and There's a
- 3:46Speaker 2: ceremony today, Tunnel to Towers brought the steel to the
- 3:49Speaker 2: White House with a lot of first responders, very solemn
- 3:56Speaker 2: event today. The president will speak at this. This will
- 3:59Speaker 2: be really his 9-11 speech. He's not going to come
- 4:03Speaker 2: to Ground Zero, and not because they wouldn't let him speak.
- 4:05Speaker 2: Nobody ever speaks. They don't have speeches at the Ground
- 4:09Speaker 2: Zero ceremony. It's just the family speak. No politicians ever speak.
- 4:13Speaker 2: And that's been the case for many, many, many years.
- 4:16Speaker 2: There'll be a ceremony at the Pentagon as well on Friday.
- 4:20Speaker 2: President will go to that. But today he'll make what
- 4:24Speaker 2: is his 9-11 speech as he honors the first responders
- 4:29Speaker 2: today at the White House. It's after Labor Day. Don't worry.
- 4:33Speaker 2: It's still summer. This is still summer. You got another
- 4:36Speaker 2: couple weeks of summer. 80 and sunny today. This is
- 4:39Speaker 2: summer weather. Hey, You know, there's a show called Comics Unleashed,
- 4:46Speaker 2: and it's on CBS. They canceled Colbert, threw him the
- 4:49Speaker 2: hell out of there, and replaced it. Byron Allen actually
- 4:53Speaker 2: made a deal where he pays for the time. He
- 4:55Speaker 2: buys the hour from CBS. And, you know, Byron Allen
- 4:59Speaker 2: was a comedian, but he became this big producer, became
- 5:03Speaker 2: a billionaire, literally a billionaire in show business. And he
- 5:06Speaker 2: produces this show, Comics Unleashed. And it's just funny. It's
- 5:09Speaker 2: not political at all. It's not pushing any agenda. It's
- 5:13Speaker 2: just funny. It's just comedians, and it's very funny. Byron
- 5:17Speaker 2: Allen interviews them. A lot of funny interviews. So it's
- 5:20Speaker 2: been running in that time period. Well, it's now beating
- 5:24Speaker 2: Fallon and Kimmel, crushing them, actually, in the ratings, in
- 5:29Speaker 2: what's the most important thing, the 18 to 49 demo.
- 5:33Speaker 2: 18 to 49-year-olds. That's the key demo. That's what they're
- 5:39Speaker 2: after with television viewers. And in the big demo that
- 5:43Speaker 2: everybody's after, once again, Byron Allen, Comics Unleashed, beating Jimmy
- 5:51Speaker 2: Fallon and Jimmy Kimmel badly. Now, Kimmel, don't expect him
- 5:57Speaker 2: to stay around too long. They got rid of Colbert,
- 5:59Speaker 2: and they're doing much better with Comics Unleashed. Kimmel only
- 6:04Speaker 2: has a few months left on that contract. When his
- 6:07Speaker 2: contract ended last year, they wouldn't give him a new one.
- 6:10Speaker 2: They just gave him a one-year extension, which is a
- 6:13Speaker 2: real slap in the face insult. So when that ends
- 6:17Speaker 2: by the end of the year, they're going to look
- 6:19Speaker 2: at Comics Unleashed, the great success it's having. Kimmel and
- 6:22Speaker 2: Fallon get much older viewers. But in the 18 to 49,
- 6:26Speaker 2: Comics Unleashed, a big, big hit. So they may be
- 6:30Speaker 2: looking at replacing Jimmy Kimmel with an actual comedy show,
- 6:34Speaker 2: not an angry, vicious political show. but an actual comedy show,
- 6:39Speaker 2: which was the original idea of late night TV, was
- 6:42Speaker 2: that you have some laughs, you have some entertainment, a
- 6:45Speaker 2: few laughs before you go to sleep, not an angry,
- 6:48Speaker 2: vicious political guy getting you all riled up before you
- 6:51Speaker 2: go to sleep. Hey, this new rules, they're going in
- 6:54Speaker 2: New York City schools everywhere, but no phones, you're not
- 6:57Speaker 2: allowed to have your phone in school. I guess it's
- 7:00Speaker 2: because the kids get distracted, they'll take out their phone,
- 7:02Speaker 2: they'll look at their phone while they're in school. You know,
- 7:09Speaker 2: it's like when you go to dinner with people, you're
- 7:11Speaker 2: having dinner with some people and one of them takes
- 7:12Speaker 2: out their phone and they're looking at their phone. You
- 7:14Speaker 2: can get mad if you want. Put down your phone.
- 7:18Speaker 2: I mean, I'm listening. But it's really your fault. If
- 7:22Speaker 2: you're having dinner and you're talking and they take out
- 7:24Speaker 2: their phone, obviously you're not holding their attention. You know,
- 7:28Speaker 2: I do a lot of speeches all over the place
- 7:30Speaker 2: and I'm always speaking at some event or emceeing some.
- 7:33Speaker 2: You get up there and you're talking and you see,
- 7:35Speaker 2: you look in the front row and they're taking out
- 7:37Speaker 2: their phone It means you're not doing your job. Make
- 7:40Speaker 2: it better. Make it funnier. Make it more interesting. Get
- 7:43Speaker 2: them to put down the phone. Same thing if you're
- 7:45Speaker 2: having dinner with people and they take out the phone.
- 7:47Speaker 2: Don't get mad. Pick up the pace a little or
- 7:51Speaker 2: change the subject. Whatever you're talking about is boring the
- 7:54Speaker 2: hell out of them. I mean, if you're really riveting,
- 7:57Speaker 2: nobody's taking out their phone and looking. It's the same
- 7:59Speaker 2: thing in school. If they're all taking out their phone,
- 8:02Speaker 2: it means they're not listening to what you're teaching. Hey,
- 8:05Speaker 2: when I was in this school, especially high school, I
- 8:09Speaker 2: couldn't listen to any of that. I didn't know what
- 8:10Speaker 2: the hell they were talking about. I didn't learn a
- 8:12Speaker 2: damn thing. I didn't learn anything. And what did I take?
- 8:17Speaker 2: We took biology. What the hell do I need to
- 8:21Speaker 2: take biology for? And especially math class, algebra, calculus. You're
- 8:25Speaker 2: going to need this later in life. You know, it's
- 8:27Speaker 2: much later in life. It never came up once, that
- 8:30Speaker 2: algebra stuff. Never once did I ever need it. I
- 8:35Speaker 2: like to go find these old teachers. You know, you
- 8:37Speaker 2: were wrong. It never came up once that I needed
- 8:40Speaker 2: algebra or calculus or even, uh, English. You know, they'd
- 8:44Speaker 2: have you read these books. Silas Marner. I don't know
- 8:48Speaker 2: what the hell this book was about. No, what the
- 8:50Speaker 2: hell I'm reading. Or sometimes the great book, the great
- 8:54Speaker 2: Gatsby is my favorite book. I mean, yeah, what an
- 8:57Speaker 2: incredible book, but they had me read it when I
- 9:00Speaker 2: was 14, 14. I don't know what the hell this
- 9:01Speaker 2: book is about. So, uh, Maybe start thinking about switching
- 9:05Speaker 2: high school to actually teaching something that somebody might be
- 9:09Speaker 2: interested in. Teach them how to do their taxes. Teach
- 9:11Speaker 2: them how to invest. Teach them skills they can actually
- 9:15Speaker 2: use somewhere instead of this stuff. So, hey, a weird
- 9:19Speaker 2: thing happened on MSNOW. Everybody's talking about it. Normally, you
- 9:25Speaker 2: can shoot your mouth off on CNN or MSNBC. You
- 9:28Speaker 2: can accuse Trump of all kinds of things. You can
- 9:30Speaker 2: say all the fake lies you want. Nobody ever bothers you. So,
- 9:36Speaker 2: ex-lawyer of Trump's, Ty Cobb, who now hates Trump, he's
- 9:39Speaker 2: on MSNBC now, or MSNBC, whatever they call it, and
- 9:42Speaker 2: he kept calling Trump a rapist. President Trump, a rapist.
- 9:47Speaker 2: The host on the show was Jonathan Capehart. He actually interrupted.
- 9:51Speaker 2: He said, nope, nope, nope, he's not a rapist. Well,
- 9:54Speaker 2: he was convicted of rape. No, he wasn't. It was
- 9:56Speaker 2: sexual assault. Well, but they said he was a rapist. No,
- 10:00Speaker 2: sexual assault. So nobody knows why. But Jonathan Capehart, good
- 10:04Speaker 2: for him, actually corrected the guy. Now, it could be
- 10:09Speaker 2: a memo has gone out to everybody at the network
- 10:12Speaker 2: because they did that on ABC on the Sunday show
- 10:16Speaker 2: with George Stephanopoulos. Trump sued. And ABC had to settle
- 10:20Speaker 2: for like $ 15 million. They had to give Trump $ 15 million.
- 10:23Speaker 2: And Trump is currently suing NBC over Kristen Walker, that
- 10:28Speaker 2: fake news corrupt Sunday show host, for some lie she
- 10:31Speaker 2: put on the air. So they're going to have to
- 10:33Speaker 2: make a settlement there. So a memo has probably gone
- 10:36Speaker 2: out to everybody. Although MSNOW is no longer a part
- 10:39Speaker 2: of NBC, but they probably sent a memo out to
- 10:42Speaker 2: everybody not to accuse Trump of totally fake things because
- 10:47Speaker 2: they don't want to get sued. And MSNBC, MSNOW, it's
- 10:51Speaker 2: no longer part of NBC. They would have to defend themselves.
- 10:54Speaker 2: They would have to pay their own settlement. And I
- 10:57Speaker 2: don't think they want to do it. You know, you'll
- 11:00Speaker 2: hear people call Trump a pedophile or make these pedophile jokes. Well,
- 11:06Speaker 2: Donald Trump has never, ever been accused of being a pedophile.
- 11:11Speaker 2: There is nothing out there, nothing in the Epstein files,
- 11:14Speaker 2: absolutely nothing anywhere that even suggests he had anything to
- 11:19Speaker 2: do with pedophilia, nothing. So if anybody says that, that
- 11:23Speaker 2: is absolute, total fake news. Hey, the Wall Street Journal,
- 11:27Speaker 2: did you see this piece they did on John Fetterman?
- 11:30Speaker 2: You know, the guy with the shorts and the hoodie?
- 11:33Speaker 2: It's interesting. You know, why would you not wear a
- 11:36Speaker 2: suit and tie in Congress? You show up in your
- 11:40Speaker 2: basketball clothes or you show up like you're there to
- 11:42Speaker 2: move furniture or something. Why?
- 11:44Speaker 3: Why?
- 11:46Speaker 2: Well, I guess it makes it look like you're there
- 11:47Speaker 2: to work. You're going to work hard. Well, no. Big
- 11:50Speaker 2: report from the Wall Street Journal. Apparently, Fetterman is the
- 11:54Speaker 2: laziest guy in the history of Congress. Never shows up.
- 11:59Speaker 2: Doesn't really do anything. He had a meeting scheduled with
- 12:02Speaker 2: paralyzed veterans. And all of a sudden, they got word
- 12:07Speaker 2: that he's sick. He's got laryngitis. He can't come to
- 12:11Speaker 2: the meeting. And there's TVs on in the office there.
- 12:16Speaker 2: And so the staff says, we'll hold it. We'll discuss
- 12:20Speaker 2: it with you. The staff will hold the meeting. But
- 12:24Speaker 2: a few minutes later, they notice on the TV, wait
- 12:26Speaker 2: a minute, there's Fetterman on Fox News. He stood them
- 12:29Speaker 2: up to go do a Fox News interview. So there's
- 12:34Speaker 2: more and more of this. He's backed out from attending funerals.
- 12:39Speaker 2: He found a way to get marked present at certain
- 12:42Speaker 2: hearings when he's not really there He'd walk in, get
- 12:45Speaker 2: Mark present, and just leave. Cancels meetings all the time
- 12:49Speaker 2: with constituents and lawmakers. There was one funeral for police
- 12:53Speaker 2: officers killed in his hometown. It was supposed to be there.
- 12:56Speaker 2: Then he got there. He found out the funeral's three hours.
- 12:59Speaker 2: And he said, that's a deal breaker. And left. Wouldn't
- 13:03Speaker 2: show up at the funeral. So that's apparently the real
- 13:07Speaker 2: Fetterman behind the scenes. But it's starting to come out. Hey, Costco,
- 13:15Speaker 2: you know the most popular thing? It's this pumpkin stuff
- 13:17Speaker 2: is everywhere now. Pumpkin everything is showing up everywhere. But
- 13:21Speaker 2: Costco has the greatest food. Nobody has a better hot dog.
- 13:24Speaker 2: It's the finest hot dog with the best hot dog bun.
- 13:28Speaker 2: They now have a copy of the Dairy Queen Blizzard.
- 13:32Speaker 2: Costco is just a place to go eat. It's phenomenal.
- 13:36Speaker 2: And the bakery, amazing stuff. But one of the most
- 13:38Speaker 2: popular things is the pumpkin cheesecake. It's back. It's unbelievable.
- 13:44Speaker 2: The pumpkin cheesecake, whipped pumpkin topping, sprinkle of cinnamon, nutmeg.
- 13:49Speaker 2: Everybody's been waiting for this. It's finally back. A little early,
- 13:52Speaker 2: but that's okay. The other thing about Costco, everything is
- 13:55Speaker 2: so cheap there. Now, this pumpkin pie is 10 ounces,
- 13:58Speaker 2: made fresh daily. How much do you think it is? $ 5. 99. $ 5. 99.
- 14:03Speaker 2: It'd be $ 30 anywhere else. $ 5. 99 at Costco. Hey, do
- 14:07Speaker 2: you drink coffee every day? Well, if you drink too
- 14:11Speaker 2: much coffee, believe it or not, Sorry to break this
- 14:14Speaker 2: to you. Latest study. It's associated with higher, actually lowering
- 14:21Speaker 2: your bone density, especially around the hips. Hip bone mineral
- 14:26Speaker 2: density can be lowered by coffee. Too much coffee can
- 14:29Speaker 2: do that. Now listen to this. If you drink tea,
- 14:32Speaker 2: it gives you a higher hip bone mineral density. That's
- 14:36Speaker 2: very important as you get older, that bone density. So
- 14:39Speaker 2: tea helps it. Coffee hurts it. Latest research, I'm sorry
- 14:44Speaker 2: to tell you, but especially if you drink five cups
- 14:48Speaker 2: of coffee or more per day can really lower bone
- 14:51Speaker 2: density around the hips. Hey, we'll take some calls next.
- 14:55Speaker 2: 800-321-0710 is the number. Don't forget, it's 9 to noon
- 14:59Speaker 2: every day. We're now three hours. 9 to noon every day.
- 15:04Speaker 2: We'll take some calls next.
- 15:05Speaker 3: 800-321-0710. 321-0710.
- 15:08Speaker 2: Welcome back to The Mark Simone Show. Live from the
- 15:12Speaker 2: WOR LifeVac studios. Hey, let's take some calls. 800-321-0710 is
- 15:23Speaker 2: the number. 800-321-0710. Let's go to Chris in West Hampton. Chris,
- 15:29Speaker 2: how you doing?
- 15:30Speaker 3: Good morning, Mark. I'm okay, thanks. Have a good weekend? Yes.
- 15:32Speaker 3: I really want to know. Yes.
- 15:34Speaker 1: Oh, good.
- 15:35Speaker 2: Okay. And what's going on in West Hampton? You ever
- 15:38Speaker 2: go to that new Donahue's that just opened?
- 15:40Speaker 4: No, I don't go there. There's two good restaurants that
- 15:43Speaker 4: I like. There's Baby Moon and Tres Diamante, which is
- 15:46Speaker 4: a Spanish restaurant.
- 15:47Speaker 2: Well, Donahue's, though, is a legendary restaurant, 64th and Lexington.
- 15:50Speaker 2: They closed and they moved to West Hampton. It's called
- 15:53Speaker 2: Donahue's East. Go try that.
- 15:55Speaker 5: Well, okay.
- 15:56Speaker 4: I never ate in it when it was in Manhattan,
- 15:57Speaker 4: but anyway. Two things I want to ask you about.
- 16:01Speaker 4: I know you have a great.
- 16:02Speaker 3: This guy's always in panic. I'm not happy.
- 16:04Speaker 4: I'm panicking, yes. I'm panicking about Ilhan Omar.
- 16:07Speaker 2: About what?
- 16:08Speaker 4: Ilhan Omar. You remember a couple... In July, I called
- 16:12Speaker 4: and I asked you why nothing was being done about her,
- 16:14Speaker 4: if she did marry her brother, if she was involved
- 16:16Speaker 4: in the Medicare fraud, and you told me not to
- 16:19Speaker 4: worry about it, that they're looking into it.
- 16:21Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 16:21Speaker 4: And I said, well, they're waiting for November because we're
- 16:23Speaker 4: going to get smoked in November. Why is nobody doing
- 16:28Speaker 4: this Tim Walz stuff and all the fraud?
- 16:31Speaker 2: They are. They are.
- 16:32Speaker 4: But who's the day?
- 16:33Speaker 2: The government, Justice Department. People are getting busted day and
- 16:36Speaker 2: night in the Medicaid fraud.
- 16:38Speaker 4: Okay, if Ilhan married her brother, is that immigration fraud?
- 16:44Speaker 2: Calm down. You know where you are right now? You're
- 16:47Speaker 2: in West Hampton. I don't know if you know this.
- 16:48Speaker 2: They have a beach there.
- 16:50Speaker 4: Yeah, I'm going to the beach later on. I went
- 16:52Speaker 4: yesterday and I went today.
- 16:53Speaker 2: I want you to go to the beach and I
- 16:55Speaker 2: want you to put on some music and I want
- 16:56Speaker 2: you to relax. I don't want you to sit there
- 16:58Speaker 2: and go into panic about Elon, Omar. They'll get to it.
- 17:01Speaker 3: But it's not. But we're going to get killed.
- 17:03Speaker 4: Everything Trump is doing is going to get reversed. Never
- 17:05Speaker 4: mind they're going to tear down the ballroom.
- 17:07Speaker 2: Okay, there's proof right there that he's going to win big.
- 17:10Speaker 2: Anytime you say he's going to lose, he always wins big.
- 17:11Speaker 4: I hope you're right, but I'm not wrong.
- 17:13Speaker 2: You're always wrong every time. It never fails.
- 17:16Speaker 4: Food is so expensive.
- 17:18Speaker 2: No, it's not.
- 17:18Speaker 4: Gas is expensive. No, it's not.
- 17:20Speaker 3: Yes, it is.
- 17:21Speaker 4: No, it's not.
- 17:23Speaker 2: Gas is cheaper now than it was in the George W.
- 17:25Speaker 2: Bush administration, literally.
- 17:27Speaker 4: Okay, let's wait, okay? Because oil's up again for another
- 17:30Speaker 4: $ 2 or something.
- 17:31Speaker 5: I was just looking.
- 17:32Speaker 4: I look at something different.
- 17:34Speaker 3: All right.
- 17:34Speaker 2: Let's check the record. We don't want to do this
- 17:36Speaker 2: to you, but we could record you every election. You're
- 17:39Speaker 2: always 100% wrong every time. From your mouth to God's ears.
- 17:43Speaker 2: You are the most reliable reverse barometer. You remember last
- 17:48Speaker 2: time around you told me we were going to lose
- 17:49Speaker 2: the whole thing.
- 17:49Speaker 3: With the abortion, yes.
- 17:50Speaker 2: I still can't believe it.
- 17:51Speaker 4: I said that last time. I can't believe that that
- 17:53Speaker 4: was not a bigger issue. Well, it's true.
- 17:56Speaker 3: Everybody in New.
- 17:56Speaker 4: York was bringing their daughters.
- 17:58Speaker 2: You've got to calm down. This is some kind of
- 17:59Speaker 2: mental thing with you. You can look at actual data
- 18:02Speaker 2: and metrics. You don't have to just guess. At the time,
- 18:05Speaker 2: abortion was not coming up as an issue with any voters.
- 18:08Speaker 2: It was like number 17 on the list of issues
- 18:11Speaker 2: in every survey, every poll, every study. Now, not only that,
- 18:17Speaker 2: abortion has nothing to do with the president. He has
- 18:19Speaker 2: no say whatsoever about abortion anywhere.
- 18:22Speaker 3: Right, but it had to do with the Republicans.
- 18:24Speaker 4: And just like Trump is saying, vote like I'm on
- 18:26Speaker 4: the ballot right now.
- 18:27Speaker 2: The Republicans have nothing to do with abortion. It's a
- 18:29Speaker 2: local issue now. The Congress has nothing to do with
- 18:32Speaker 2: abortion anymore. It's a local issue now.
- 18:35Speaker 1: All right.
- 18:36Speaker 4: Well, anyway, thank you. You're my favorite show, no matter what.
- 18:38Speaker 4: Not that there's ever been anything wrong, but, you know.
- 18:40Speaker 2: All right. Thanks for calling.
- 18:42Speaker 3: All right.
- 18:43Speaker 2: Take care. Thanks. He's a nice guy, but you can
- 18:45Speaker 2: listen to any show, anywhere, on any station. He's calling up,
- 18:49Speaker 2: and at the end, you're my favorite show. Nice guy, though.
- 18:52Speaker 2: Let's go to Blauvelt in Florida. Blauvelt, how are you doing?
- 18:56Speaker 5: Hello.
- 18:57Speaker 1: Oh, man, he's a good caller, that guy, Chris.
- 18:59Speaker 2: He's a good caller, but you hear him on every station,
- 19:02Speaker 2: every show. You can put on WBZ in Boston. There
- 19:06Speaker 2: he is calling Dan Ray. Every show.
- 19:09Speaker 1: I haven't called in a while. I hope you haven't
- 19:11Speaker 1: missed me that much.
- 19:12Speaker 2: We did.
- 19:14Speaker 1: Hey, listen, what is the real story behind Maria?
- 19:18Speaker 2: Well, the real story is she's always had a rocky
- 19:21Speaker 2: relationship with management. She's a very nice person in real life,
- 19:25Speaker 2: but at work she's always, I don't know, she's always
- 19:27Speaker 2: in a clash with management. Ratings weren't so good. I mean,
- 19:31Speaker 2: they were okay, but not big. I mean, Varney gets
- 19:34Speaker 2: much bigger ratings. Kudlow gets enormous ratings.
- 19:38Speaker 1: I watched her every morning. I prefer that over Fox
- 19:41Speaker 1: and Friends.
- 19:43Speaker 2: It's a different type of show. Fox and Friends is
- 19:45Speaker 2: more for the general public. This was more for, the
- 19:48Speaker 2: investor class. But it's a small audience she had, but
- 19:52Speaker 2: a very good audience. She was always pushing the envelope
- 19:56Speaker 2: with questionable stories, the China AI centers. There was a
- 20:01Speaker 2: Kevin O'Leary segment that Fox had to issue multiple apologies for.
- 20:05Speaker 1: You know, you mentioned O'Leary. I heard him on an interview,
- 20:08Speaker 1: and he's talking about he's trying to open up a
- 20:09Speaker 1: data center out in Ohio. And he says these things
- 20:13Speaker 1: don't use any water, more than water than a golf course.
- 20:17Speaker 2: Well, that's true. Yeah. Yeah, I mean, one by one,
- 20:22Speaker 2: they're solving all the problems. The water, they figured out
- 20:25Speaker 2: how to recycle it. They don't use that much water. Good, good, good. Energy,
- 20:29Speaker 2: they're figuring out how to power themselves.
- 20:32Speaker 1: Could you do me a favor?
- 20:33Speaker 3: Could you ask.
- 20:34Speaker 1: Vincent, what are the names of the little pepper biscuits
- 20:37Speaker 1: at Adios Bakery in Arthur Avenue in the Bronx? I
- 20:41Speaker 1: can't remember the name of those things. The little pepper
- 20:43Speaker 1: biscuits at Adios Bakery.
- 20:46Speaker 2: I don't mean to sound like a genius. I mean,
- 20:49Speaker 2: this is the most brilliant thing in the world I've
- 20:51Speaker 2: come up with. You ever think of calling the Adios
- 20:54Speaker 2: Bakery and saying, what are the names of those biscuits?
- 20:58Speaker 2: If you know the name of the bakery, look up
- 21:00Speaker 2: the number.
- 21:00Speaker 5: And call them.
- 21:02Speaker 1: I'd rather hear it from Vincent.
- 21:04Speaker 2: Oh, I mean, if you know the bakery, go to
- 21:07Speaker 2: their website. Go to their Instagram. I'm sure it's right
- 21:09Speaker 2: on their menu there. Anyway, let's go to Rich in
- 21:12Speaker 2: Myrtle Beach. Rich, how are you doing?
- 21:14Speaker 3: Hey, thanks, Mark.
- 21:15Speaker 5: You know, you're right. The Costco hot dog is the
- 21:18Speaker 5: best hot dog in the world. It's even better than Nathan's.
- 21:20Speaker 5: I'm not thrilled with the bun because they're steamed.
- 21:22Speaker 3: No, but it's.
- 21:23Speaker 5: A beautiful bun.
- 21:24Speaker 2: It's got great flavor in it.
- 21:26Speaker 5: Yeah, it's got a nice flavor, but I like them toasted,
- 21:28Speaker 5: you know, but they don't do that. But the pizza
- 21:30Speaker 5: I wouldn't eat, but the sundae is my next thing
- 21:32Speaker 5: on the agenda. You know, we're down here in Myrtle
- 21:34Speaker 5: Beach in the land of golf courses. You see sprinkles,
- 21:37Speaker 5: dozens of gallons of water every minute all over the
- 21:40Speaker 5: streets and all over the golf courses down here. So
- 21:42Speaker 5: I'm not worried about the data centers. But, you know,
- 21:44Speaker 5: we're down here in Myrtle Beach. Gas is supposed to
- 21:46Speaker 5: be 250 down here. It's 360 to 369 to 372.
- 21:50Speaker 5: It changes sometimes three or four times a day. If
- 21:53Speaker 5: Trump doesn't get this gas price under control by the
- 21:55Speaker 5: end of September, he's going to blow the midterms for it.
- 21:59Speaker 2: Not necessarily. Gas prices were much, much, much higher during
- 22:03Speaker 2: the Biden administration.
- 22:04Speaker 5: And, uh, but that's apples and oranges because Biden was
- 22:07Speaker 5: a dope. Trump promised us cheaper gas has started to
- 22:10Speaker 5: come down. He got involved with Iran, which I fully support,
- 22:13Speaker 5: but either wrap this thing up in Iran or get
- 22:16Speaker 5: out of it, but just bomb the hell out of
- 22:17Speaker 5: them and get rid of everybody. They all want to
- 22:19Speaker 5: die anyway.
- 22:20Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 22:21Speaker 5: Well, make an omelet. You got to kill a few citizens,
- 22:24Speaker 5: but they all got to go.
- 22:25Speaker 2: I understand. But you got to remember, uh, we've been
- 22:27Speaker 2: through this before with the straight, the straight home roots
- 22:29Speaker 2: always closes in every war. Uh, A good example was
- 22:33Speaker 2: the Iraq War. They closed the Strait of Hormuz. Gas
- 22:35Speaker 2: had been $ 60 a barrel. And when the Strait of
- 22:40Speaker 2: Hormuz closed, panic set in. It went to $ 100 a barrel,
- 22:43Speaker 2: $ 110 a barrel. But once the whole thing got settled,
- 22:46Speaker 2: it not only went back to $ 60, it plunged to
- 22:49Speaker 2: $ 40 a barrel. You had the cheapest gas ever. So
- 22:52Speaker 2: once they wrap up the Iran thing, which could happen
- 22:54Speaker 2: at any point, it'll not only go back down, it'll plunge.
- 22:57Speaker 2: It always does that after. Every time it increases like this. Hey,
- 23:01Speaker 2: when we come back, Bill O'Reilly. We'll talk to Bill
- 23:03Speaker 2: O'Reilly next on 710WOR. No. The Mark Simone Show. Nine
- 23:09Speaker 2: till noon weekdays. More Mark.
- 23:14Speaker 3: 710WOR.
- 23:15Speaker 2: Well, the number one TV anchor for decades. The number
- 23:19Speaker 2: one best-selling non-fiction author on earth. His latest book is
- 23:23Speaker 2: coming out, Confronting America. You should pre-order it right now. And,
- 23:28Speaker 2: of course, he does a great podcast. We'll do it live.
- 23:31Speaker 2: He's got his YouTube channel, Bill O'Reilly on YouTube. And,
- 23:35Speaker 2: of course, the website BillOReilly.com has everything there. You can
- 23:39Speaker 2: get the book, the podcast, the TV show, the column, BillOReilly.com.
- 23:44Speaker 2: Bill O'Reilly, how are you doing?
- 23:47Speaker 3: Lamenting the end of summer. I'm lamenting today.
- 23:51Speaker 2: It's not over yet. You've got another couple of weeks.
- 23:53Speaker 3: You know, with the book promotion, though, it's crazy. All
- 23:58Speaker 3: my time is taken by that. And I want to
- 24:01Speaker 3: tell you an interesting story. So I sent advance copies
- 24:06Speaker 3: to you and a few other people of Confronting America,
- 24:10Speaker 3: What Has to Change. And I sent it to people
- 24:14Speaker 3: that I knew would read it or at least most
- 24:16Speaker 3: of it. I don't want to waste book copies on
- 24:19Speaker 3: people I know aren't going to read anything. So in
- 24:22Speaker 3: the process, I sent copies to three of my liberal friends.
- 24:27Speaker 3: and three of my moderate conservative friends, not far right.
- 24:31Speaker 3: And the liberals weren't crazy left either. And I said, look,
- 24:35Speaker 3: just do me a favor and read as much as
- 24:39Speaker 3: you can and then give me a report on whether
- 24:41Speaker 3: you like the book or not. Okay. So it comes
- 24:45Speaker 3: back where the three moderate conservatives are delirious with joy.
- 24:52Speaker 3: They read the book in a day, most of them,
- 24:54Speaker 3: and it is great, blah, blah, blah, blah. But all
- 24:57Speaker 3: three liberals, who I've known for many years, hated the book. Really?
- 25:03Speaker 3: Hated it.
- 25:03Speaker 2: What's to hate in that book?
- 25:06Speaker 3: Well, the reason, because obviously I asked them, was that
- 25:13Speaker 3: I placed blame on the individual American for things that
- 25:24Speaker 3: are going wrong. Which I do.
- 25:27Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 25:29Speaker 3: I mean, every problem is caused by an individual or individuals.
- 25:37Speaker 3: Human beings. AI isn't causing the problem. Okay? It's folks
- 25:43Speaker 3: that are causing the problems. And they won't fix them
- 25:46Speaker 3: or they're, you know, making them worse or whatever it
- 25:49Speaker 3: may be. And I said to them, I said, look,
- 25:52Speaker 3: if you... If you read the thing, and there's not
- 25:55Speaker 3: a lot of ideology in this book. I mean, it's
- 25:57Speaker 3: not a conservative book. It's not a pro-Trump or anti-Biden book.
- 26:01Speaker 3: That's not what we do. We say, here is the problem.
- 26:05Speaker 3: Kids in New York City can't read. How do you
- 26:10Speaker 3: fix it? How did it happen? And it happened because
- 26:16Speaker 3: of derelict parents. That's why it happened. Now, you can
- 26:21Speaker 3: fix it. But that's going to take discipline, which the
- 26:26Speaker 3: left does not want to apply to anything. It's always
- 26:30Speaker 3: society's fault. It's never the individual's fault. And so that
- 26:37Speaker 3: was a very interesting analysis that I got back. I'm
- 26:41Speaker 3: going to do a big thing, big take on this
- 26:42Speaker 3: tonight on the No Spin News, because we're not in
- 26:47Speaker 3: the midterms voting for people. We're not voting for people
- 26:51Speaker 3: in the midterms. Okay, no matter who's on the ballot
- 26:54Speaker 3: in your district, whatever senators, you're not voting for that person.
- 27:00Speaker 3: You are voting for movements. So if you support the
- 27:07Speaker 3: Democratic candidate and that candidate is too afraid to confront
- 27:13Speaker 3: the radical socialists, then you're voting for radical socialism.
- 27:18Speaker 2: You!
- 27:19Speaker 3: You! You're not voting for Ossoff in Georgia. You're voting
- 27:25Speaker 3: for the damage that's going to be done by his party.
- 27:31Speaker 3: And also, if you are a Trump supporter and you
- 27:35Speaker 3: love everything that Trump does, okay, you're voting for semi-madness
- 27:42Speaker 3: and changing the names of everything. I don't even know
- 27:44Speaker 3: what the names are anymore. I used to know the
- 27:47Speaker 3: Great Lakes. I don't know that now. New Mexico? What
- 27:51Speaker 3: are we doing? We don't need to do this. Trump
- 27:54Speaker 3: is a good economic story to tell if he would
- 27:57Speaker 3: only tell it. So, anyway, I hate to go on
- 28:01Speaker 3: a diatribe, but that was a very, very interesting thing
- 28:07Speaker 3: that happened over vacation.
- 28:09Speaker 2: Well, it's a great book. It's called Confronting America. Now,
- 28:12Speaker 2: it's coming out Tuesday.
- 28:15Speaker 3: September 15th, a week from today.
- 28:18Speaker 2: Yeah, pre-order it right now. In fact, you pre-order, you
- 28:21Speaker 2: usually get it early. You just go to Amazon or
- 28:24Speaker 2: BillOReilly.com and pre-order the book Confronting America. Hey, there's a reason,
- 28:29Speaker 2: I forgot what it was, why all the books come
- 28:30Speaker 2: out on Tuesday. They figured out that's the best day
- 28:33Speaker 2: to release a book.
- 28:35Speaker 3: Yeah, and, you know, the publishing houses don't want to
- 28:40Speaker 3: get caught up in weekend madness where people are going
- 28:43Speaker 3: to the movies or they're doing stuff. So Tuesday is
- 28:46Speaker 3: kind of a day where not much happens. So they
- 28:52Speaker 3: put the books out and they hope that the books
- 28:56Speaker 3: will have legs, which means that people will buy them,
- 28:59Speaker 3: tell their neighbor, and then the neighbor will buy it.
- 29:02Speaker 3: And that's how it goes down.
- 29:03Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 29:05Speaker 2: Hey, but the average American, what's the average American supposed
- 29:07Speaker 2: to do? You know, they come home from work. They
- 29:10Speaker 2: put on the nightly news on the network. They don't
- 29:12Speaker 2: realize it's now slanted, biased, totally corrupt. The Sunday shows
- 29:15Speaker 2: are totally corrupt. Send their kids to college. The professors
- 29:18Speaker 2: are indoctrinating them. What is the average American supposed to
- 29:21Speaker 2: do about that?
- 29:23Speaker 3: Well, you have to run your own home. And that's
- 29:27Speaker 3: the danger of the democratic socialist communist movement, that the
- 29:35Speaker 3: far-left radicals want to take parental authority away. they want
- 29:41Speaker 3: to take power away from the individuals and very simple
- 29:45Speaker 3: how much more tax can we pay how much more
- 29:50Speaker 3: can you pay i got my tax bill today you
- 29:54Speaker 3: know i have to pay in advance uh because um
- 29:59Speaker 3: There's a bunch of numbers and corporations and things like that.
- 30:03Speaker 3: And I'm just looking at myself going, I can't pay
- 30:07Speaker 3: any more. And they're going to tax every blanking thing.
- 30:13Speaker 3: If you vote for a Democrat, no matter who it is, moderate, radical,
- 30:19Speaker 3: you are going to be taxed more. You are going
- 30:24Speaker 3: to lose more of your take-home pay. Because the party
- 30:29Speaker 3: is bent on redistributing income. That's what they want to do,
- 30:33Speaker 3: and they will do it. So the less money you have,
- 30:39Speaker 3: the less power you have. That people can abuse you.
- 30:44Speaker 3: That you can't live in a neighborhood you want to
- 30:46Speaker 3: live in. Can't drive a car you want. Because the
- 30:50Speaker 3: government is taking your money away from you. And that's
- 30:56Speaker 3: the Democratic Party. And they don't deny it. You don't
- 31:01Speaker 3: hear any denials, oh, we're going to cut taxes. Wait
- 31:05Speaker 3: a minute. The Democrats haven't cut taxes since Grover Cleveland.
- 31:11Speaker 3: When are you going to start? I mean, this is insane.
- 31:16Speaker 3: So I'm trying to get everybody to stop with the
- 31:20Speaker 3: individual stuff. I hate Trump. So what? What good does
- 31:25Speaker 3: that do the country that you hate Trump? Or you
- 31:28Speaker 3: love them. What good does it do? It doesn't do
- 31:30Speaker 3: the country any good. What does is that you're recognizing
- 31:35Speaker 3: the big picture and how it will affect you and
- 31:38Speaker 3: your family. And the Democratic radicals want to take away
- 31:45Speaker 3: your power. And you do that by taking away your money.
- 31:52Speaker 3: And New York City is the best example in the
- 31:55Speaker 3: world of that. Yeah.
- 31:58Speaker 2: Well, hopefully they get that together, the messaging on that
- 32:00Speaker 2: and get that across. Hey, we're just about out of time.
- 32:04Speaker 2: The podcast, we'll do it live. Everybody should be watching this.
- 32:07Speaker 2: And you have a great interview with J.D. Vance. And
- 32:10Speaker 2: what's coming up next on the podcast?
- 32:13Speaker 5: Monica Crowley.
- 32:14Speaker 2: Oh, very good. Excellent.
- 32:16Speaker 3: So Monica's got a fascinating story. She worked for Richard
- 32:23Speaker 3: Nixon after he was a civilian.
- 32:27Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 32:28Speaker 3: And she got to see all the impeachment stuff that,
- 32:31Speaker 3: you know, they were going to throw him out anyway
- 32:33Speaker 3: and then pardoned him today. It was the anniversary of
- 32:38Speaker 3: the Nixon pardon today. So Monica saw all that. And
- 32:42Speaker 3: now Monica is an ambassador. Did you know that?
- 32:45Speaker 2: Yeah. She creates all the foreign leaders.
- 32:47Speaker 3: She's an ambassador.
- 32:48Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 32:49Speaker 3: So I want to know exactly what she does. And
- 32:54Speaker 3: I've known Monica forever. And she was not treated very
- 32:58Speaker 3: well by some people. And, you know, I didn't like
- 33:01Speaker 3: that very much. So I took a little action. I
- 33:06Speaker 3: protect my friends.
- 33:08Speaker 2: Well, everybody watch this. Watch Bill O'Reilly's YouTube channel. Watch
- 33:12Speaker 2: the podcast. We'll do it live. You can get everything,
- 33:14Speaker 2: links to everything, at BillOReilly.com. And order the new book,
- 33:18Speaker 2: Confronting America. It comes out Tuesday. Just go to BillOReilly.com.

- 34:16Speaker 2: It's after Labor Day, but it's not the end of summer.
