Day 4 Walking through Perilous Times "The Danger of a Dead Form"
"Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof." This is the most frightening verse in the entire passage — not because it describes an atheist, but because it describes a churchgoer. Someone who knows the pew number, the order of service, the pastor's name — and has never, not once, experienced the transforming power of the Holy Ghost.
Day Four is the hardest devotional in this series because it asks the most uncomfortable question: Is your faith a living relationship or a religious performance?
