Latest / Solomonster Sounds Off / WWE Smackdown 3/13/26 Review | Randy Orton TURNS HEEL AND BLOODIES CODY RHODES
Transcript
- 0:00Speaker 1: Well, it is another Friday the thirteenth. It's very rare
- 0:03Speaker 1: we get two of them back to back like this.
- 0:05Speaker 1: I don't think this happens again for a very long time.
- 0:08Speaker 1: And it's very appropriate that what we got in the
- 0:11Speaker 1: closing segment tonight happened on Friday the thirteenth. Actually, this
- 0:15Speaker 1: entire show happening on this day is kind of appropriate
- 0:19Speaker 1: given that it is Friday the thirteenth. This was a
- 0:21Speaker 1: very scary episode of SmackDown, and one where if you
- 0:26Speaker 1: are of the belief that by road Dog no longer
- 0:30Speaker 1: being a part of the SmackDown creative team, that that
- 0:32Speaker 1: was in some way going to improve the overall quality
- 0:34Speaker 1: of SmackDown. I got bad news for you. We should
- 0:39Speaker 1: have had Wade Barrett stand up from the announced desk.
- 0:41Speaker 1: I'm afraid I've got some bad news. I told you
- 0:46Speaker 1: now to expect that, but now you know. You know
- 0:50Speaker 1: Drew McIntyre quit on tonight's show. He has since unquit,
- 0:56Speaker 1: but he quit on SmackDown tonight. I'm thinking about quitting
- 0:59Speaker 1: myself after sitting through three hours of this, or I
- 1:05Speaker 1: should say two hours and forty five minutes of this,
- 1:09Speaker 1: because the only redeeming part of tonight's show was, in fact,
- 1:12Speaker 1: the final fifteen minutes of the show. You don't have
- 1:15Speaker 1: to watch anything else that happened on SmackDown tonight outside
- 1:18Speaker 1: of the contract signing that they closed with. This was
- 1:21Speaker 1: as just nothing happening, boring, bad television as WWE has
- 1:30Speaker 1: put on all year. I don't know how we are
- 1:34Speaker 1: actually getting closer to WrestleMania, and somehow the show seemed
- 1:38Speaker 1: to be getting progressively worse. I don't understand how that works.
- 1:45Speaker 1: I just I don't know what to say at this point.
- 1:49Speaker 1: I don't know what to say at this point. Randy
- 1:53Speaker 1: Orton and Cody Rhodes, they had a contract signing for
- 1:55Speaker 1: WrestleMania because we know what the main event, presumably of
- 1:59Speaker 1: Night one is going to be for the WWE Championship,
- 2:02Speaker 1: and Cody and Randy are like this right, They're like
- 2:04Speaker 1: they're bosom buddies. Even though Randy Orton dropped him with
- 2:08Speaker 1: an RKO and the Elimination Chamber to win the chamber
- 2:11Speaker 1: and punch his tickets to WrestleMania, these two have known
- 2:15Speaker 1: each other for a very long time. These two we
- 2:19Speaker 1: have been well. A lot of people have been waiting
- 2:21Speaker 1: to see this match, and not just a match. I
- 2:24Speaker 1: mean we had them in the King of the Ring
- 2:25Speaker 1: Finals previously, but an actual story behind the match, one
- 2:30Speaker 1: that taps into the history between Cody Roads and Randy Orton.
- 2:33Speaker 1: As Cody Rhades said on the show tonight, the very
- 2:35Speaker 1: first match he had in WWWE in two thousand and seven,
- 2:38Speaker 1: the year I started the podcast, by the way, Okay,
- 2:41Speaker 1: so far back this goes. His very first match was
- 2:44Speaker 1: against Randy Orton, and then we know all this stuff
- 2:47Speaker 1: with legacy and everything that came after that, right, So
- 2:50Speaker 1: there's a lot of his history there to dive into.
- 2:53Speaker 1: We got a small little piece of it in the
- 2:55Speaker 1: contract signing. They were being awfully nice to each other.
- 2:58Speaker 1: They were being awfully chummy, which should have been a
- 3:00Speaker 1: sign that something was about to go down. Cody Road
- 3:05Speaker 1: signed the contract. Randy Orton had some trouble doing so.
- 3:10Speaker 1: He was expecting Drew McIntyre to be in this spot,
- 3:14Speaker 1: and Cody told him, look, when the bell rings, I
- 3:18Speaker 1: want you to bring your best. I want the best
- 3:20Speaker 1: Randy Orton, I want the viper. I want mister Rko
- 3:23Speaker 1: Randy Orton at WrestleMania. And Randy signed the contract and
- 3:28Speaker 1: at that point, Randy Orton. It's like as soon as
- 3:30Speaker 1: he put pen to paper and put his signature on
- 3:33Speaker 1: the contract, a switch got flipped all the way back
- 3:37Speaker 1: to two thousand and nine. Randy Orton, and he attacked
- 3:41Speaker 1: Cody Rhodes. He kicked him in the dick. It's like
- 3:45Speaker 1: John Cena a year ago all over again, only this
- 3:49Speaker 1: time we got a violent, bloody angle to close out
- 3:52Speaker 1: the show. He bloodied up Cody Rhodes. You know, and
- 3:55Speaker 1: we don't get to see this on WWE television very often.
- 4:00Speaker 1: So when they actually do it and you have Cody
- 4:03Speaker 1: in this case do a blade job, and he did
- 4:05Speaker 1: a hell of a blade job, because I mean there
- 4:07Speaker 1: was blood all over the place, on the announced desk,
- 4:09Speaker 1: on the floor, Randy had Cody's blood all over him
- 4:12Speaker 1: at the end. It is more effective given that we
- 4:14Speaker 1: don't get to see this very often here on WWE.
- 4:18Speaker 1: It was a violent attack, right leaving no doubt that
- 4:21Speaker 1: this was a Randy Orton heel turn. Except nobody clued
- 4:25Speaker 1: in the fans and Phoenix to this because for the
- 4:27Speaker 1: most part, and I don't want to make it sound
- 4:30Speaker 1: like there were no boos at all whatsoever. When the
- 4:33Speaker 1: angle was going on and he was beating him up.
- 4:35Speaker 1: On the outside. There were booze, but by and large,
- 4:38Speaker 1: especially at the end, they were cheering Randy Orton for
- 4:43Speaker 1: nearly killing Cody Roads. At the end of this show,
- 4:46Speaker 1: they went off the air tonight with the fans chanting
- 4:50Speaker 1: Randy as Cody Roads laid there in a pool of
- 4:53Speaker 1: his own blood being tended to by officials. And when
- 4:57Speaker 1: it was over, I was very conflicted. On the one hand,
- 5:02Speaker 1: I was very happy that we got something on this show.
- 5:05Speaker 1: This was a bad show. You want if you want
- 5:08Speaker 1: to talk about drumming up interest and excitement in your
- 5:11Speaker 1: biggest event of the year, okay, you can't be putting
- 5:14Speaker 1: out standard smackdowns. I understand that not every week the
- 5:17Speaker 1: television show could be a home run. It's three hours
- 5:20Speaker 1: of television that they have to write. Not every week
- 5:22Speaker 1: is going to be a grand Slam. That's not what
- 5:24Speaker 1: I'm saying. We are in a period right now where
- 5:26Speaker 1: we are five weeks away from what is supposedly their
- 5:29Speaker 1: biggest show of the year. And I mean I watched
- 5:33Speaker 1: this show and literally two hours into the show and
- 5:36Speaker 1: I realized we still had another hour left, not even
- 5:38Speaker 1: two hours when we were an hour ninety minutes into
- 5:41Speaker 1: this show, and I'm like, I'm like this, this is horrendous.
- 5:47Speaker 1: This is horrendous. You would never know that WrestleMania was
- 5:50Speaker 1: right around the corner. I would say that it was
- 5:54Speaker 1: a one match show, but it wasn't even a match.
- 5:57Speaker 1: It was a contract signing. That's all this show was.
- 6:02Speaker 1: So I was happy to get some kind of big
- 6:06Speaker 1: angle at the end here, right. So that was nice
- 6:09Speaker 1: because if we didn't get that, we wouldn't have had
- 6:12Speaker 1: nothing tonight. Okay, so that's number one. Number two. I
- 6:16Speaker 1: like that they went the bloody, violent route. I thought
- 6:19Speaker 1: that was effective. But I'm also watching this and going, man,
- 6:24Speaker 1: they should have If they were gonna do this, why
- 6:27Speaker 1: not save it until WrestleMania. I understand, you have five
- 6:30Speaker 1: more weeks and you got to try to make things interesting,
- 6:32Speaker 1: and there are ways that you could have done that.
- 6:34Speaker 1: Where again, they dig a little bit into their history
- 6:37Speaker 1: and you build the tension slowly over these next five
- 6:40Speaker 1: weeks between these two men and get people thinking that,
- 6:43Speaker 1: wait a minute, what something's gonna go down to WrestleMania, right,
- 6:46Speaker 1: whatever's gonna happen is gonna happen to WrestleMania, because I
- 6:50Speaker 1: take you back one year. I'm watching the fans here
- 6:54Speaker 1: tonight chanting for Randy Orton right when this show was over,
- 6:58Speaker 1: and it took me back to a year ago when
- 7:00Speaker 1: we went through this same thing with John Cena and
- 7:04Speaker 1: Cody Rhoades. As great as the initial angle was an
- 7:07Speaker 1: elimination chamber turning John Cena heel, the heel turn did
- 7:10Speaker 1: not work. And even when he was trying his hardest
- 7:14Speaker 1: last year, right, he was healing on the fans and
- 7:16Speaker 1: all you fans have treated me so badly for twenty
- 7:19Speaker 1: five years. Right. It was fucking terrible because John Cena
- 7:23Speaker 1: has been beloved for so many years, and it just
- 7:25Speaker 1: felt so forced and it just didn't work. And you
- 7:29Speaker 1: had people who knew that this was the last time
- 7:31Speaker 1: they were going to be able to see John Cena.
- 7:33Speaker 1: They did not want to boo that man, so it
- 7:36Speaker 1: it didn't work. It did not work, and here we
- 7:40Speaker 1: are again. And my fear is that they haven't learned
- 7:42Speaker 1: the lessons of the past, and they couldn't wait until WrestleMania.
- 7:46Speaker 1: They just what, we got to have a heel turn
- 7:48Speaker 1: as soon as the contract gets signed. Somebody's got to
- 7:50Speaker 1: go heal, and they turned Randy tonight, and now we
- 7:53Speaker 1: have five weeks of heal Randy Orton going into WrestleMania,
- 7:56Speaker 1: and it's like, man, they should have waited until Mania
- 7:59Speaker 1: to do it, which, of course, in hindsight, I look
- 8:02Speaker 1: at the John Cena thing and I feel the exact
- 8:04Speaker 1: same way. I don't think that WrestleMania main event last
- 8:06Speaker 1: year would have been as bad if they would have
- 8:09Speaker 1: saved the actual turn for Mania, and I think it
- 8:11Speaker 1: would have been more impactful. But that again, that's hindsight,
- 8:14Speaker 1: and that's twenty twenty vision there. So I do wonder
- 8:19Speaker 1: if they made a mistake by sort of jumping the
- 8:21Speaker 1: gun and doing this tonight instead of saving it for WrestleMania.
- 8:25Speaker 1: I know people are going to look at this and go,
- 8:28Speaker 1: they turn the wrong person. They should have turned Cody Roads.
- 8:33Speaker 1: And I've been talking about this recently, Like, again, there's
- 8:35Speaker 1: nobody that they have on that roster right now who
- 8:38Speaker 1: is prepared to be in that position. They have not
- 8:40Speaker 1: gotten anybody ready to be in the Cody Road spot.
- 8:44Speaker 1: If they wanted to turn Cody Roads or WrestleMania, I
- 8:46Speaker 1: don't see who that person is. Okay, So that's the
- 8:49Speaker 1: main reason why I don't see them turning Cody roads heel.
- 8:52Speaker 1: I understand the people are going to be very disappointed
- 8:54Speaker 1: in that they want to see Cody goheel. They're sick
- 8:56Speaker 1: and tired of babyface Cody, corporate Cody. It's not gonna happen.
- 9:01Speaker 1: It certainly doesn't seem like it's going to happen after
- 9:02Speaker 1: what they did tonight. So you got to you gotta
- 9:04Speaker 1: put that away for now. I'm just more like looking
- 9:07Speaker 1: at this wondering if the Randy turn came too early
- 9:12Speaker 1: and they felt like, oh, we got to do something
- 9:13Speaker 1: to really you know, heat things up. Let's just do
- 9:16Speaker 1: it now. Now we wait for the explanation, because why
- 9:19Speaker 1: would Randy Orton do what he did to Cody Rhodes now? Right?
- 9:24Speaker 1: Is it going to end up being a situation where
- 9:26Speaker 1: we're going to get the Randy Orton promo next week
- 9:28Speaker 1: where he talks about how you've been back in the
- 9:30Speaker 1: company now for three years or have him many four years,
- 9:35Speaker 1: you've been WWE champion. Because we've seen Randy Orton, and
- 9:38Speaker 1: I wouldn't be shocked if they put little clips of
- 9:41Speaker 1: this in the eventual video package just to illustrate the
- 9:44Speaker 1: point because I pointed this out numerous times, all of
- 9:47Speaker 1: the different times that Randy Orton was spotted right eyeballing
- 9:50Speaker 1: the championship and Cody would be sitting next to him
- 9:53Speaker 1: right and he'd be looking at the bell like it
- 9:56Speaker 1: was on his mind, and at no point did Cod
- 10:00Speaker 1: offer to give him a championship match. It's almost it's
- 10:03Speaker 1: almost like it's almost like the Mega Powers angle where
- 10:08Speaker 1: if you remember when Hogan and Savage had their split,
- 10:10Speaker 1: one of the things that Savage said to Hogan is
- 10:13Speaker 1: that man, a man, you never came at me asking
- 10:16Speaker 1: for a title shot. Right. Instead, Hogan was busy, you know,
- 10:20Speaker 1: groping his wife and doing all this other stuff. But
- 10:23Speaker 1: that was one of the things that really upset him,
- 10:25Speaker 1: is that you never asked me for a title shot.
- 10:28Speaker 1: Are we gonna get a similar story here where Orton
- 10:31Speaker 1: is like, you and I have been tight. I've bet
- 10:34Speaker 1: I've had your back, even at my own expense, because remember,
- 10:38Speaker 1: Randy has taking beatdowns for Cody in the past, right
- 10:41Speaker 1: from the Samoans, And is it going to be one
- 10:44Speaker 1: of those cases where you know, you never even thought,
- 10:48Speaker 1: you never even thought to come to me and say Hey,
- 10:50Speaker 1: do you want a shot at this? Right? Maybe they
- 10:52Speaker 1: could explore that as a possibility. I'm curious to see
- 10:56Speaker 1: next week unless they do one of these things where
- 10:59Speaker 1: Randy's like, I don't know anybody an explanation, But what
- 11:01Speaker 1: is the explanation the rationale for him doing what he
- 11:04Speaker 1: did tonight? Like it wasn't like Cody dropped him at
- 11:09Speaker 1: the elimination chamber. He dropped Cody. If anybody should be upset,
- 11:13Speaker 1: it should be Cody upset at Randy. And instead Randy
- 11:16Speaker 1: drops him at the elimination chamber to become the number
- 11:18Speaker 1: one contender and then he nearly destroys this man tonight.
- 11:23Speaker 1: Why now, right, we need to get that explanation for
- 11:26Speaker 1: Randy Orton. Why was it so important for him to
- 11:28Speaker 1: do that now? Or did he just lose his mind?
- 11:31Speaker 1: Maybe the voices got to him. What was that condition
- 11:34Speaker 1: that he had back in two thousand and nine? Ied?
- 11:38Speaker 1: Or I think it was IED right in the intermittent
- 11:41Speaker 1: explosive disorder, right, I think that's what they called it.
- 11:44Speaker 1: Maybe his IED flared up. I don't know, but the
- 11:48Speaker 1: timing of the heel turn is what I question right
- 11:51Speaker 1: now as an angle, though I thought it was effective.
- 11:55Speaker 1: Let me say this. It was effective in terms of
- 11:57Speaker 1: the violence. Was it effective in terms of what WW
- 12:00Speaker 1: he was going for. I don't know, just because they
- 12:02Speaker 1: were cheering for Randy Orton when they went off the air.
- 12:05Speaker 1: But I just feel like now we're going to be
- 12:07Speaker 1: in a situation like we were with John Cena a
- 12:09Speaker 1: year ago. I don't understand why it had to happen now. Now,
- 12:15Speaker 1: maybe five weeks from now, they'll convince me that this
- 12:18Speaker 1: was the right move, But I feel like this is
- 12:21Speaker 1: something that should have been saved for WrestleMania, and you
- 12:24Speaker 1: would have had people going into media wondering who's going
- 12:26Speaker 1: to turn heel? Could it be Cody, Could it be Randy. Well,
- 12:29Speaker 1: now you've already given the answer away unless he do
- 12:32Speaker 1: a double turn, and I don't see them doing a
- 12:34Speaker 1: double turn. You've already given the answer away. Now you've
- 12:37Speaker 1: taken some of the drama away, when I think it
- 12:40Speaker 1: would have been cool to kind of preserve that and
- 12:43Speaker 1: keep people guessing for the next few weeks. But that
- 12:46Speaker 1: was really, honestly, I mean, the only thing worth a
- 12:49Speaker 1: damn on this show. I mentioned Drew McIntyre him quitting.
- 12:53Speaker 1: He was very upset about being screwed out of the
- 12:56Speaker 1: champion or in his mind, being screwed out of the championship.
- 12:58Speaker 1: He quit, and then of course he came back before
- 13:00Speaker 1: the show was over to attack Jacob Fatu, which sets
- 13:04Speaker 1: up not a WrestleMania match, it sets up a SmackDown
- 13:08Speaker 1: match for next Friday, and we'll get into that. We
- 13:14Speaker 1: also had more MFTs and White six nonsense lantern stuff
- 13:21Speaker 1: here on I you know, I watched this show and
- 13:27Speaker 1: tonight was one of those nights. It is physically painful,
- 13:31Speaker 1: it is. It is. I get pains, like stomach pains
- 13:34Speaker 1: sometimes when I watch these shows. I don't know. Like
- 13:40Speaker 1: we had a few weeks ago where they got the
- 13:42Speaker 1: lantern back, right, made you think that maybe we finally
- 13:46Speaker 1: reached the climax here Uncle Howdie got the wind over
- 13:50Speaker 1: Solo Sokoa, just for Talatanga to steal the lantern back.
- 13:55Speaker 1: This must continue. So then we have a tag team
- 13:58Speaker 1: match tonight and again the White they win. The Babyfaces
- 14:03Speaker 1: have now won twice, now twice. Now usually in an
- 14:08Speaker 1: extended feud like this, you're building to the baby Faces
- 14:10Speaker 1: to get the win. Right, They've won twice and they
- 14:14Speaker 1: got the lantern back, but then Toma Tonga steals the
- 14:17Speaker 1: lantern back. They're gonna drag this shit out until WrestleMania,
- 14:21Speaker 1: because of course, they have nothing else for either one
- 14:23Speaker 1: of these factions to be doing other than to continue
- 14:26Speaker 1: to feud with each other, and they'll build some kind
- 14:28Speaker 1: of match of WrestleMania and the lantern will be returned
- 14:31Speaker 1: to the Wyatt family. In the meantime, we have five
- 14:33Speaker 1: more weeks of this shit. It's just it is awful television,
- 14:39Speaker 1: just brutal, brutal. The Bella Twins were back. They're getting
- 14:46Speaker 1: a tag team championship match next week and a WrestleMania
- 14:50Speaker 1: I'm sure, but yes, they were back Tonight's they're getting
- 14:53Speaker 1: their match, and Jelly Roll was on the show because
- 14:59Speaker 1: we got to have our obligatory celebrity appearance to WrestleMania.
- 15:02Speaker 1: So now jelly Roll is back and clearly they are
- 15:05Speaker 1: building to something a match for him at WrestleMania. I'll
- 15:10Speaker 1: say this, Jelly Roll is a better promo than most wrestlers.
- 15:13Speaker 1: He's pretty good at that. He's pretty good at that.
- 15:17Speaker 1: Do I need to see Jelly Roll and the mizz
- 15:20Speaker 1: wrestling of WrestleMania? No? I do not, but it looks
- 15:25Speaker 1: like that's where we're headed after the angle that they
- 15:28Speaker 1: shot here on this show tonight. I do want to
- 15:31Speaker 1: show you a sign. This is a sign that was
- 15:34Speaker 1: in the crowd on their own show tonight. This was
- 15:36Speaker 1: caught on television. Triple H has no fresh ideas. I
- 15:45Speaker 1: didn't say it, but that man right, well, actually, I
- 15:48Speaker 1: can't see who's holding this sign. I can't see if
- 15:50Speaker 1: that's a guy or a girl, but whoever's holding that
- 15:52Speaker 1: sign up, Triple H has no fresh ideas. That's exactly
- 15:58Speaker 1: what I felt after watching the MFTs and why at
- 16:01Speaker 1: six stuff. I can't say that I disagree with that sentiment.
- 16:08Speaker 1: I don't know. I don't know. I don't know what
- 16:10Speaker 1: to say. I knew when SmackDown went back to three
- 16:13Speaker 1: hours that this show was going to be brutal. I
- 16:17Speaker 1: didn't know it was going to be this bad. I really,
- 16:21Speaker 1: you know. I try to find the good in these
- 16:24Speaker 1: shows where I can, and normally this time of year
- 16:27Speaker 1: is very exciting and we're getting ready for the big show.
- 16:30Speaker 1: It's like the super Bowl is around the corner, and
- 16:33Speaker 1: I feel like, honestly, I feel like we're building to
- 16:36Speaker 1: like fucking bragging rights. I mean, we're building to like
- 16:42Speaker 1: Clash at the Castle or something. What are we doing here?
- 16:47Speaker 1: This is fucking horrendous. This is your Friday the thirteenth
- 16:54Speaker 1: SmackDown review. I can subscribe. That's are open. Appreciate all
- 17:02Speaker 1: the support. Boy do I need some support after watching
- 17:06Speaker 1: some of these shows. I'll be reading your messages as
- 17:08Speaker 1: we go along here. There is some wrestling coming up
- 17:13Speaker 1: this weekend. In case you were wondering, Texas Death is
- 17:19Speaker 1: coming for MJF and I am going to be live
- 17:23Speaker 1: for the aw Revolution review that will be on Sunday night.
- 17:28Speaker 1: Will be a very late night on Sunday. But if
- 17:32Speaker 1: you thought the ending of SmackDown tonight was violent and bloody,
- 17:36Speaker 1: oh boy, you just wait, you just wait. You're gonna
- 17:41Speaker 1: get that in the first probably thirty seconds of this match.
- 17:46Speaker 1: And I saw that Tony Kahn actually just tweeted their
- 17:48Speaker 1: revolution if it hasn't already a revolution, he claims, is
- 17:53Speaker 1: expected to sell out, well, should specify sell out of
- 17:59Speaker 1: their allotment to tickets. They're at the Crypto dot Com Arena.
- 18:03Speaker 1: I'm pretty sure that's like a twenty thousand seat building
- 18:05Speaker 1: thing getting twenty thousand people in that building. But if
- 18:08Speaker 1: they get eleven thousand, that's a healthy crowd, so good
- 18:10Speaker 1: for them. Anyway, that'll be on Sunday night. Let's spin
- 18:15Speaker 1: the wheel find out how many likes we need for
- 18:18Speaker 1: be the booker tonight. Let's take aver a spin. Four
- 18:31Speaker 1: sixty five is the magic number for tonight. That is
- 18:35Speaker 1: how many likes we need as the likes minimum for tonight,
- 18:38Speaker 1: four hundred and sixty five likes. So you guys know
- 18:41Speaker 1: what to do. We didn't get there on Wednesday, see
- 18:44Speaker 1: if we can get there tonight. But boy, oh man,
- 18:49Speaker 1: this show is a struggle, let me tell you. And
- 18:51Speaker 1: I know I'm not the only one who feels that
- 18:53Speaker 1: way because you were. You were commiserating with each other
- 18:55Speaker 1: in the live chat. I was dropping in and I
- 18:59Speaker 1: could feel your pain. It's just so lifeless. It's just
- 19:07Speaker 1: I don't know, man, I don't know. Drew McIntyre start
- 19:15Speaker 1: from the beginning here. Drew McIntyre was not happy about
- 19:18Speaker 1: what happened last week. We got a lot to talk
- 19:20Speaker 1: about here in this review. Drew McIntyre lost his WWE
- 19:24Speaker 1: championship to Cody Rhodes, so he came out of the
- 19:28Speaker 1: crowd to kick things off, and he was calling on
- 19:30Speaker 1: Nick all this to come on out and make things right.
- 19:35Speaker 1: Said that instead of protecting your golden boy, Cody Rhodes,
- 19:40Speaker 1: come on out here and fix this. So all this
- 19:44Speaker 1: walked out, got into the ring and he said there's
- 19:47Speaker 1: nothing to make right, said that you headbutted a referee
- 19:51Speaker 1: last week. These are the consequences of your own actions.
- 19:55Speaker 1: And Drew said, yes, aside from Jacob getting involved, you
- 19:58Speaker 1: and me we had a deal. Cody didn't win the
- 20:01Speaker 1: Royal Rumble, Cody didn't win the elimination chamber. Therefore Cody
- 20:05Speaker 1: should not be getting a shot at the WWE Championship.
- 20:10Speaker 1: He called all this a corporate stooge, and all this
- 20:14Speaker 1: called it rich that McIntyre comes out and complains about
- 20:17Speaker 1: getting screwed when he screwed Cody out of the championship
- 20:20Speaker 1: multiple times. So listen up. Drew did everything he could
- 20:25Speaker 1: to prevent Cody from getting a fair shot, and now
- 20:27Speaker 1: he understands why because the first time you did, he
- 20:31Speaker 1: beat you. So all this was in the ring saying this.
- 20:35Speaker 1: McIntyre was standing on top of the announced desk and
- 20:38Speaker 1: at that point Drew jumped down. He got into the ring,
- 20:40Speaker 1: he got right up in all this his face. He
- 20:43Speaker 1: called this bullshit and he said that all this is
- 20:47Speaker 1: going to make this right or else. So that brought
- 20:50Speaker 1: out Jacob Faugh too. So now all three men were
- 20:53Speaker 1: in the ring, and he said fix what. He said
- 20:57Speaker 1: that Drew never would have even been the champion if
- 20:59Speaker 1: it wasn't for me. He fixed the situation last week.
- 21:03Speaker 1: So Drew McIntyre is no longer WWE champion. So this
- 21:07Speaker 1: isn't about all this, This isn't about Cody or anybody else.
- 21:11Speaker 1: As Jacob was doing his promo, he was getting chance
- 21:14Speaker 1: of what from the crowd says, So Drew's pointing fingers
- 21:19Speaker 1: at everybody else. He's pointing fingers at the referee. He's
- 21:22Speaker 1: pointing fingers in Nick all this. But let's keep it real.
- 21:26Speaker 1: I'm the one that screwed your ass. So what the
- 21:29Speaker 1: hell is Drew going to do about it? And Drew
- 21:31Speaker 1: said what am I going to do about it? He said,
- 21:34Speaker 1: you and Nick and Cody and all of these people,
- 21:39Speaker 1: I'm done with it. And he walked right up to
- 21:42Speaker 1: Nick all this and he told him I quit. And
- 21:45Speaker 1: with that he left the ring and he exited through
- 21:48Speaker 1: the crowd. So If this sounds awfully familiar to you,
- 21:52Speaker 1: then it should for good reason if it's deja vus
- 21:55Speaker 1: that you're getting, Because this is not the first time
- 21:56Speaker 1: that Drew McIntyre has uttered the words I quit. I
- 22:00Speaker 1: don't mean in an I quit match. They ran the
- 22:03Speaker 1: same angle two years ago with him in cmpunk where
- 22:06Speaker 1: he quit the company. I quit. That was in twenty
- 22:09Speaker 1: twenty four. They ran the same angle with him again
- 22:13Speaker 1: here in twenty twenty six. So I guess every year
- 22:16Speaker 1: or two we're gonna have Drew McIntyre come out and
- 22:18Speaker 1: quit when he doesn't get his way. Actually, this was
- 22:22Speaker 1: more akin to what Brett Hart did in nineteen ninety seven.
- 22:25Speaker 1: If we're being perfectly honest. Brett Hart came out after
- 22:28Speaker 1: the Royal Rumble. Remember Stone Cold Steve Austin screwed him
- 22:31Speaker 1: out of a win in the Rumble, and Sean Michaels
- 22:34Speaker 1: had screwed him the month before out of winning the
- 22:36Speaker 1: WWE Championship. He got screwed by Sean, he got screwed
- 22:39Speaker 1: by Austin. He looked at Vince mcmahony, goes, I quit.
- 22:43Speaker 1: If I'm not getting a title match, I quit, And
- 22:47Speaker 1: before the night was even over. He was already back.
- 22:51Speaker 1: And the same thing happened tonight with Drew mcintarry before
- 22:54Speaker 1: this show was even over. He had already unquit and
- 22:58Speaker 1: come back. He's the modern day Brett Hart. Only Brett
- 23:03Speaker 1: had more time with the belt than Drew did. He
- 23:05Speaker 1: had he had more rains with it than Drew did.
- 23:08Speaker 1: But that's basically what this was like. We'll get back
- 23:11Speaker 1: to Drew MacIntyre later. This was not the last time
- 23:13Speaker 1: that we would see him here on this show. We
- 23:16Speaker 1: go to the back and we see Solo Socoa in
- 23:20Speaker 1: the MFTs and they're discussing strategy and he says that
- 23:25Speaker 1: to him and Talatanga, they're gonna be taken on Uncle
- 23:28Speaker 1: Howdie and Eric Rowan because this is the feud that
- 23:32Speaker 1: will not die. Solo asked Tomatoga, watch over the stolen lantern.
- 23:39Speaker 1: This is your responsibility tonight to make sure you are
- 23:42Speaker 1: the protector of the lantern. And so everybody but Tomatanga leaves.
- 23:47Speaker 1: He's standing there with the lantern and he can sense
- 23:49Speaker 1: someone's presence behind him and when he turns around, their
- 23:52Speaker 1: Shinsky Nakamore. This is apparently his only role on the
- 23:55Speaker 1: show is to torment Tomatonga every single week, and he
- 24:00Speaker 1: looks at Tomatonga and again he once again asked him,
- 24:03Speaker 1: when are you going to be your own man? But
- 24:06Speaker 1: Solo Sekoo walks back in and he warns, Knocka Morris,
- 24:10Speaker 1: stay the hell away before you get hurt. So after
- 24:14Speaker 1: a break, Jacob Fatu was with Nick Alldis. He was
- 24:17Speaker 1: not happy that Drew McIntyre just up and quit right
- 24:21Speaker 1: when he was about to whoop, and before he could
- 24:24Speaker 1: finish what he was going to say, Trick Williams interrupted
- 24:26Speaker 1: and Jacob wasn't very happy about that he'd chewed him out.
- 24:30Speaker 1: Trick was upset about being disrespected by Fatu and then
- 24:33Speaker 1: last week by Randy Orton, and he told Nick Aldas,
- 24:37Speaker 1: do your job. And so all this did, and he said, well,
- 24:41Speaker 1: I'm gonna make a match right now. It's going to
- 24:43Speaker 1: be you and Jacob Fatu later on tonight. So we
- 24:46Speaker 1: got an impromptu match here on this show. But after this,
- 24:50Speaker 1: unfortunately pain, I feel pain. We had Solo Socoa and
- 25:03Speaker 1: Talatoga against Uncle Howdie and Eric Rowan. When I saw
- 25:08Speaker 1: this in the preview, I cried on the inside, and
- 25:13Speaker 1: when it was over, I cried more you'll know why
- 25:17Speaker 1: here in a second. It went through a break to
- 25:22Speaker 1: complete and total apathy. Here from the crowd in Phoenix,
- 25:26Speaker 1: Solo tagged in. He tried to hit Sister Abigail on Howdy.
- 25:30Speaker 1: He got reversed though into a back suplex. So they
- 25:33Speaker 1: each tagged out and the big guys came in, Eric
- 25:36Speaker 1: Rowan Talatonga. They went at it for a little bit.
- 25:40Speaker 1: Rowan got him up on his shoulders. Solo, though blind,
- 25:42Speaker 1: tagged back in. That allowed Talatoga to escape anyway. Solo
- 25:47Speaker 1: tried to hit a big Samoan splash Eric Rowan, though
- 25:50Speaker 1: got the knees up. Howdy tagged in. He attempted Sister Abigail,
- 25:56Speaker 1: but that got countered into a Samoan spike and Rowan
- 25:59Speaker 1: broke up. The subsequent count he and Taalatanga they took
- 26:03Speaker 1: each other out of ringsight, so at this point things
- 26:05Speaker 1: broke down outside with the Wyatts and the MFTs. Solo
- 26:09Speaker 1: went to the floor. He took out Dexter Loomis and
- 26:11Speaker 1: Joe Gacy with samo and spikes, and as Solo got
- 26:14Speaker 1: back in the ring, he had Howdie imposition for a spike.
- 26:17Speaker 1: When he looked over and the lantern was unguarded sitting
- 26:24Speaker 1: there on the apron and Nicki Cross, who I'm pretty
- 26:28Speaker 1: sure has not wrestled the match at about six years.
- 26:31Speaker 1: At this point, I don't even know if she would
- 26:33Speaker 1: remember how to wrestle. But she slowly walks over towards
- 26:37Speaker 1: the lantern and Solo is looking at point, don't you dare?
- 26:41Speaker 1: And she takes possession of the urn and I'm thinking
- 26:44Speaker 1: it or the land, whatever the fuck it is the lantern,
- 26:46Speaker 1: and I'm thinking to myself, this is great. Yes, Nicky, run, run,
- 26:51Speaker 1: take it and go right. And she starts to make
- 26:55Speaker 1: off with the lantern, and that distraction opened up Solo
- 26:59Speaker 1: to Sister Abigail from Uncle Howdie, who picks up the
- 27:03Speaker 1: win for his team. And this actually got a reaction. Now,
- 27:06Speaker 1: I would like to think that this whole finishing sequence
- 27:09Speaker 1: here got a reaction because the people like me were
- 27:12Speaker 1: so happy that this was finally over. They were overjoyed,
- 27:17Speaker 1: and I'm thinking, thank god, it's finally over. The Babyfaces
- 27:23Speaker 1: have won again and they have taken possession of the lantern.
- 27:27Speaker 1: My joy, however, was short lived, because after the match,
- 27:33Speaker 1: as Howdy took possession of the lantern, he got blasted
- 27:36Speaker 1: from behind by Tomatonga with a hidden blade, and Tomatoga
- 27:41Speaker 1: took possession back of the lantern. The fucking MFTs took
- 27:49Speaker 1: the lantern back and they retreated to the back. They
- 27:55Speaker 1: are going to drag this shit all the way out
- 27:59Speaker 1: to wrestle Mania, and now I'm just left to wonder
- 28:03Speaker 1: what kind of a match are they going to have?
- 28:05Speaker 1: Is it going to involve solo? And howdy? Is it
- 28:08Speaker 1: going to involve all the members of both factions? What
- 28:13Speaker 1: could they possibly? Are they going to suspend the lantern
- 28:17Speaker 1: above the ring and have a ladder match between the
- 28:21Speaker 1: two factions, or better yet, maybe we could have a
- 28:24Speaker 1: lantern on a pole. We could have a pole match
- 28:28Speaker 1: at WrestleMania. I can honestly sit here and tell you,
- 28:33Speaker 1: and again I say it every week. This is not
- 28:35Speaker 1: a knock on any of the individual performers in this
- 28:39Speaker 1: I fucking hate this storyline. I am so done with
- 28:42Speaker 1: this and the fact that they are going to drag
- 28:44Speaker 1: this out all the way to WrestleMania makes me sick
- 28:48Speaker 1: because this is just one of those things where it's
- 28:50Speaker 1: so it is so lazy. This has been going on
- 28:53Speaker 1: for so long, it is the most just surface level,
- 28:57Speaker 1: bare bones form of storytelling that you could possibly think of,
- 29:02Speaker 1: that this is the best thing that they could come
- 29:04Speaker 1: up with, and they think this makes for good television.
- 29:09Speaker 1: I don't understand it. I just don't. The Babyfaces have
- 29:15Speaker 1: now been successful two separate occasions, and they have taken
- 29:19Speaker 1: possession back of the Lantern, only for the Heels to
- 29:23Speaker 1: just take it back so that we can drag this
- 29:26Speaker 1: out and prolong this even more. For all of the
- 29:31Speaker 1: time that they have now devoted to this feud, literal
- 29:35Speaker 1: months and months of this, They've gotten very little return
- 29:40Speaker 1: on their investment because every single time that some combination
- 29:44Speaker 1: of these guys are in the ring together, they are
- 29:47Speaker 1: just wrestling to no reaction. They are wrestling to crickets
- 29:51Speaker 1: and nobody cares. There was no engagement from the crowd.
- 29:54Speaker 1: There was no back and forth except for the finish,
- 29:57Speaker 1: where again people were just happy it was over with.
- 30:00Speaker 1: It's not just me watching from home on television. I'm
- 30:02Speaker 1: watching the same fucking show that everybody else is watching,
- 30:05Speaker 1: and I'm paying very close attention to whether the fans
- 30:09Speaker 1: are engaged. I'm thinking, maybe I'm just weird, Maybe it's
- 30:11Speaker 1: just me. Maybe I'm in the minority here, but I'm not,
- 30:15Speaker 1: But I'm not. Nobody seems to care about this. Why
- 30:19Speaker 1: are we still doing this? We go backstage, Damian Priest
- 30:30Speaker 1: is talking to Our Truth. They had just gotten done
- 30:33Speaker 1: watching what we all watched. Sorry for them. Our Truth
- 30:37Speaker 1: was wearing a stone cold Steve Austin T shirt as
- 30:39Speaker 1: we get ready for three sixteen Day. He has not
- 30:41Speaker 1: officially been announced for three sixteen Day, but it'll be
- 30:45Speaker 1: very disappointing if he's not there on the show. He'll
- 30:47Speaker 1: be on Busted Open Radio by the way, Monday morning,
- 30:50Speaker 1: so I'm sure Lugreca and then we'll ask him point blank,
- 30:54Speaker 1: are you going to be on raw tonight? Otherwise what
- 30:57Speaker 1: the hell is the point of even doing the interview?
- 31:00Speaker 1: They so Truth thought the MFTs were the Judgment Day,
- 31:05Speaker 1: and so Damian Priest had to correct him and tell
- 31:07Speaker 1: him that's not the Judgment Day. Priest said that when
- 31:10Speaker 1: they face those guys, though, they will become the WWE
- 31:13Speaker 1: Tag Team Champions. Who are the tag team Champions? Who
- 31:19Speaker 1: are the tag team champions on this show? Oh it's
- 31:26Speaker 1: the MFTs? Thank god? Oh my god. They're feuding over
- 31:35Speaker 1: the lantern. I totally forgot they have belts. Anyway, Los
- 31:45Speaker 1: Scarzis shows up. They complained about Priest and Truth stealing
- 31:49Speaker 1: the win after all they did talking about the match
- 31:53Speaker 1: last week, after all the hard work and the gauntlet
- 31:55Speaker 1: match that they put in, and Priest just remembered taking
- 32:00Speaker 1: them out quickly during that match, and then he said,
- 32:02Speaker 1: you know what, I'm going to go talk to Nick
- 32:03Speaker 1: all this and I'm going to make a match between
- 32:06Speaker 1: I'm going to make a match between the four of
- 32:08Speaker 1: us tonight. Yeah. Hey, look, yeah, I don't know what
- 32:12Speaker 1: to tell you. When that feud is so focused on
- 32:18Speaker 1: a lantern, it is hard to remember that the actual
- 32:23Speaker 1: tag team championships are involved as well, because the titles
- 32:26Speaker 1: have taken a back seat to the lantern. The lantern
- 32:29Speaker 1: is really the subject of this entire storyline, this whole
- 32:32Speaker 1: feud between them. It really doesn't have anything to do
- 32:34Speaker 1: with the tag team titles, and the tag team division
- 32:37Speaker 1: fucking sucks on this show, so it's easy to just
- 32:40Speaker 1: forget about the tag team titles altogether. Can't blame me
- 32:45Speaker 1: for that. Jade Cargill, the WWE Women's Champion, took on
- 32:53Speaker 1: Meechen tonight non title. Before the match, they cut to
- 32:58Speaker 1: comments that this was very weird. So they cut the
- 33:00Speaker 1: comments backstage earlier from Julia and Keana James, and they
- 33:07Speaker 1: were directed towards Tiffany Stratton. Keana said that Tiffany talks
- 33:10Speaker 1: a big game, and Julia asked, Tiffany, do you really
- 33:14Speaker 1: think that you could take this US title from me?
- 33:17Speaker 1: And I was very confused and I was racking my Now.
- 33:21Speaker 1: I was not here last week, although I did go
- 33:23Speaker 1: back and skim the important part of the show. I
- 33:26Speaker 1: was at House Glory last week. But correct me if
- 33:29Speaker 1: I'm wrong. Was there a segment or a promo recently
- 33:34Speaker 1: on the show where Tiffany Stratton said something about Julia
- 33:39Speaker 1: and Keanna James. The only time I could remember any
- 33:42Speaker 1: real interaction with them or maybe a mention of the
- 33:45Speaker 1: US title was back in October when they bumped into
- 33:49Speaker 1: each other backstage. So I'm watching this and I'm like,
- 33:53Speaker 1: this felt like something that was kind of forced in there,
- 33:55Speaker 1: because clearly the direction for WrestleMania is going to be
- 33:58Speaker 1: Julia and Tiffany Stratton. And they were like, well, we
- 34:01Speaker 1: got to do something here. But they're talking like Tiffany
- 34:04Speaker 1: had just cut a promo on them last week, or
- 34:05Speaker 1: had done something to disrespect them last week? Did I
- 34:08Speaker 1: miss something here? I mean, am I just totally out
- 34:13Speaker 1: to lunch on this particular storyline or are they just
- 34:16Speaker 1: pretending that something they're manufacturing something that doesn't exist. It
- 34:20Speaker 1: wouldn't shock me because with the way this WrestleMania build
- 34:22Speaker 1: has been going, if they just fucking rushed it and
- 34:24Speaker 1: forced it. But I was like, what are they talking about?
- 34:30Speaker 1: So Michen attacked right away, and she even caught Jade
- 34:34Speaker 1: with a suicide dive outside the ring, only for Jade
- 34:39Speaker 1: to just basically no sell it, come right back and
- 34:43Speaker 1: mow her down with a pump kick, and she took
- 34:45Speaker 1: over on offense. So Jade gave her a fallaway slam
- 34:48Speaker 1: on the floor outside and she kicked up into a
- 34:51Speaker 1: commercial break and it ended the way that you would expect.
- 34:54Speaker 1: Jade licked her and then gave her a choke slam
- 34:58Speaker 1: and then finished her off with the for the win.
- 35:02Speaker 1: As Jade matches go, there was really nothing technically bad
- 35:06Speaker 1: about it. I thought as a match it was fine.
- 35:09Speaker 1: I mean, he didn't have any heat, but outside of
- 35:12Speaker 1: that it was okay. Wasn't a squash or anything. I mean,
- 35:15Speaker 1: they gave Meechen more offense than you would expect. So
- 35:19Speaker 1: when the match was over, Kathy Kelly got in the
- 35:21Speaker 1: ring to interview Jade, and Jade very rudely snatched the
- 35:27Speaker 1: microphone out of her hand told her to get lost,
- 35:30Speaker 1: and Jade said, you know, the whole world thinks that
- 35:32Speaker 1: I should be scared of one woman, Rhea Ripley. She
- 35:36Speaker 1: said that she hasn't been afraid of anything her entire life.
- 35:39Speaker 1: She promised to beat Ripley at WrestleMania and that she
- 35:42Speaker 1: would always be on top, and that brought out Rhea
- 35:46Speaker 1: Ripley and Jade bailed outside. At that point, Rhea got
- 35:49Speaker 1: in the ring and Rhea said that at WrestleMania, Jade
- 35:52Speaker 1: wouldn't be that, she wouldn't be a she would be
- 35:57Speaker 1: her bitch. Is it really deep stuff? There? Really really
- 36:06Speaker 1: deep stuff here in this promo. Five weeks they have
- 36:11Speaker 1: five weeks to really try to put some heat on this.
- 36:14Speaker 1: I don't know how they do it. I don't know
- 36:16Speaker 1: how they do If this is what we're doing here,
- 36:17Speaker 1: We're every week they're just gonna say I'm that bitch. No,
- 36:21Speaker 1: I'm that bitch, you know what, I'm half expecting that,
- 36:25Speaker 1: like Vince McMahon is secretly texting Triple H stuff and
- 36:30Speaker 1: we're gonna or Bruce and we're gonna get a pose
- 36:33Speaker 1: down between them. That would totally be a Vince segment.
- 36:37Speaker 1: I'm waiting for the pose down between the Remember the
- 36:40Speaker 1: Triple H and Scott Steiner posed down back in the day. Honestly,
- 36:44Speaker 1: outside of like Jade doing something dastardly to EO Sky
- 36:49Speaker 1: as a way to get it Rhea, and I'd rather
- 36:52Speaker 1: not because Leo should have her own dedicated storyline and
- 36:55Speaker 1: match that she's preparing for for WrestleMania Oscar. Outside of
- 37:01Speaker 1: her doing something like that, I'm not even sure honestly
- 37:03Speaker 1: what they can do because clearly on the promo side,
- 37:07Speaker 1: you know, they're not leaning into any of the social
- 37:09Speaker 1: media stuff from last week, and on the promo side,
- 37:13Speaker 1: there ain't much there. There really isn't, you know. But again,
- 37:18Speaker 1: if she did something the EOEO obviously is best friends
- 37:21Speaker 1: with Rhea, they've established this, that would be something. But
- 37:26Speaker 1: you know, I wouldn't want her to do something that
- 37:27Speaker 1: takes you know, EO out of WrestleMania or anything like that.
- 37:31Speaker 1: He has rude and the Warrior forgot about that one too.
- 37:35Speaker 1: Maybe Jade will crack one of those workout bars across
- 37:39Speaker 1: Rhea's back. They'll have like a push up contest. Jade
- 37:42Speaker 1: was doing push ups in the middle of her match
- 37:44Speaker 1: with meechin tonight. I'm telling you we're gonna be getting
- 37:47Speaker 1: some kind of pose down type segment soon. You watch,
- 37:52Speaker 1: you watch. Cody Rhodes was backstage. She was chatting with
- 37:57Speaker 1: Nick all This about the contract signing later with Randy.
- 38:01Speaker 1: Orton said that day, I looked the contract over and
- 38:04Speaker 1: everything looks to be in order. So all This left
- 38:07Speaker 1: and said, I'll see you out there. Sammy's ain't showed up.
- 38:10Speaker 1: He's been stalking this man for weeks. Everywhere Cody goes,
- 38:13Speaker 1: he turns and there he is. I mean, he's like
- 38:17Speaker 1: Cody's Dan Housen, where he just turns around and he's there.
- 38:22Speaker 1: So Sammy said, look, I don't want to make a
- 38:25Speaker 1: big thing about this. I just want to congratulate you.
- 38:28Speaker 1: You went out and did exactly what you said you
- 38:30Speaker 1: were gonna do. You won the championship back last week,
- 38:33Speaker 1: so I just wanted to congratulate you for it. Cody, though,
- 38:37Speaker 1: he goes, look, I don't want to fight with you.
- 38:40Speaker 1: But he knows that Sammy said the same thing to
- 38:42Speaker 1: Randy right congratulating him after he won the elimination chamber,
- 38:48Speaker 1: so he says, Sammy deserves a title shot. You need
- 38:51Speaker 1: to stop beating around the bush and just come out
- 38:54Speaker 1: with it. So Sammy is offended by these comments, says
- 38:59Speaker 1: he gave Randy respect because he admires him. He looks
- 39:04Speaker 1: up to Randy. He doesn't look up to Cody, but
- 39:08Speaker 1: he doesn't look up to Cody because they're friends. He says,
- 39:11Speaker 1: as friends, they're supposed to be equals. Cody might be
- 39:15Speaker 1: champion again, but Sammy still thinks that they're equals and
- 39:18Speaker 1: he shouldn't be spoken down to. So Cody says he
- 39:22Speaker 1: would uh. He looks up to Sammy, he's inspired by him,
- 39:26Speaker 1: and Sammy might not look up to him, and that's fine,
- 39:28Speaker 1: but all he has to do is look at the title.
- 39:31Speaker 1: So Cody leaves and Sammy has another meltdown before Alistair
- 39:36Speaker 1: Black and Zelina Vegas show up, and Black wonders if
- 39:40Speaker 1: the title just might not be meant for Sammy, and
- 39:43Speaker 1: that really pisses Sammy off, and he gets up in
- 39:45Speaker 1: his face and Sammy tells him stay away. From me.
- 39:50Speaker 1: It is. It's actually hilarious to me that they have
- 39:54Speaker 1: literally literally taken the carrying cross and scarlet gimmick and
- 39:59Speaker 1: just transfer it's Alistair blackens like they're not even hiding it,
- 40:03Speaker 1: like it is literally the same thing. I just I
- 40:07Speaker 1: don't know. I guess they felt, you know what, we
- 40:11Speaker 1: don't really need to spend the money on the same act,
- 40:15Speaker 1: so we already got these guys under contract and we'll
- 40:18Speaker 1: just do it with them. Instead of having four, we
- 40:21Speaker 1: only have to pay two. I don't know, It's just
- 40:24Speaker 1: it's so funny to me. I mean, there's nothing different
- 40:28Speaker 1: about it. There is nothing different about it. Oh man. Yeah.
- 40:39Speaker 1: And then and then Black says, fight me, fight me.
- 40:43Speaker 1: I'm not sure if this is really all that much
- 40:45Speaker 1: better than him sitting in a dark room for six
- 40:48Speaker 1: weeks all those years ago, because he shows up for
- 40:52Speaker 1: like ten seconds and that's it. Now he does have
- 40:56Speaker 1: a win over Randy Orton. Remember that Randy Orton is
- 40:59Speaker 1: the number one contend for the WWE Championship. He is
- 41:02Speaker 1: going to be in one of the WrestleMania main events.
- 41:05Speaker 1: Are they going to circle back around to the fact
- 41:07Speaker 1: that Alistair Black has a win over him at some point,
- 41:11Speaker 1: especially if Randy wins the title of WrestleMania, Alistair Black
- 41:13Speaker 1: should show up the very next week on smack then
- 41:16Speaker 1: and go, hey, where's my title shot? I got to
- 41:19Speaker 1: win over the champion. I want my title shot. We
- 41:24Speaker 1: had Charlotte Flair and Alexa Bliss against Naya Jackson Lash legend.
- 41:30Speaker 1: This was for the women's tag team titles. The Bella Twins. Ugh,
- 41:43Speaker 1: this goes from bad tours. The Bella Twins come out
- 41:47Speaker 1: to the ring before the match and they addressed the
- 41:50Speaker 1: crowd and the sisters Bella said that it felt good
- 41:54Speaker 1: to be back on SmackDown, and the reason they're here
- 41:57Speaker 1: was that they were next in line for the women's
- 41:59Speaker 1: tag team title. I guess they said it, so that
- 42:03Speaker 1: makes it true. I guess. I okay, sure, why not?
- 42:10Speaker 1: So they said they're gonna be sitting at ringside to observe.
- 42:14Speaker 1: I'm gonna be scouting the competition tonight. So Bliss tried
- 42:19Speaker 1: to go for a diving cannon ball off the apron.
- 42:24Speaker 1: Nya caught her and slammed her on the ring apron.
- 42:27Speaker 1: Charlotte then dropped Nya with a dive, Lash took her
- 42:30Speaker 1: out with a big Boot and then they took another
- 42:33Speaker 1: commercial break, and it literally felt like they had just
- 42:36Speaker 1: come back from commercial like two minutes early. I didn't
- 42:40Speaker 1: time it with my stopwatch, but I'm like, didn't they
- 42:44Speaker 1: just take a commercial? And then the match just started
- 42:48Speaker 1: and they're already back to going to a commercial. And
- 42:54Speaker 1: then I realized something. And this has been something I
- 42:56Speaker 1: realized for a while, but it really hit me watching
- 42:59Speaker 1: this sh tonight. And I've I've watched WWE for most
- 43:04Speaker 1: of my life at this point, okay, well over thirty years,
- 43:08Speaker 1: so I've seen a lot of WWE television. I've seen
- 43:10Speaker 1: a lot of commercials, right, a lot of commercial breaks
- 43:13Speaker 1: on these shows. But one thing I can honestly, and
- 43:16Speaker 1: I'm not even trying to be funny. I'm not joking
- 43:19Speaker 1: or being facetious or anything when I say this, If
- 43:24Speaker 1: you watch these shows live that goes for raw and
- 43:27Speaker 1: SmackDown SmackDown, probably more so because it's three hours instead
- 43:32Speaker 1: of two and a half on Netflix. If you watch
- 43:35Speaker 1: these WWE shows live today in twenty twenty six, the
- 43:42Speaker 1: live viewing experience has never been worse. It is as
- 43:48Speaker 1: bad today as it has been in the thirty plus
- 43:52Speaker 1: years that I have been watching this product. H it's
- 44:04Speaker 1: very appropriate, but that's a pop up just now, thank
- 44:10Speaker 1: you Tuxedo. But in all seriousness, I mean the live
- 44:15Speaker 1: viewing experience is horrendous. Now. I watch the shows live, right.
- 44:20Speaker 1: I choose to because obviously I come on here with
- 44:22Speaker 1: you guys when the show is over and we talk
- 44:25Speaker 1: about it. So I don't have the luxury if this
- 44:28Speaker 1: is what I intend to do, and this is what
- 44:31Speaker 1: I do, this is my job. Obviously, I don't have
- 44:33Speaker 1: the luxury of just being like, eh, i'll watch it tomorrow.
- 44:37Speaker 1: I'll watch it in bits and pieces throughout the week.
- 44:40Speaker 1: That's how I used to watch Monday Night Raw there
- 44:42Speaker 1: for a while, because remember I used to talk about
- 44:44Speaker 1: the key stuff on Raw on the following Sunday Sound
- 44:47Speaker 1: of I didn't really start going live with the Raw
- 44:49Speaker 1: reviews on Monday Night until Vince left. When Vince left,
- 44:53Speaker 1: I said, Okay, let's give this a shot. I'm already
- 44:56Speaker 1: covering Dynamite Live and SmackDown. Let's throw Monday in there.
- 45:01Speaker 1: That's really where that started. But what I would do
- 45:06Speaker 1: sometimes is because I knew I had the whole week
- 45:08Speaker 1: to get through it. And you know, before I talked
- 45:11Speaker 1: about it on the Sound of I would sometimes it
- 45:13Speaker 1: would take me, sometimes three four five days to get
- 45:16Speaker 1: through an entire episode of Raw, because there were weeks
- 45:19Speaker 1: where Raw was pretty fucking rough. But if you watch
- 45:23Speaker 1: these shows live, the way they throw these commercial breaks
- 45:26Speaker 1: in there and during the matches, it's not even just
- 45:28Speaker 1: in between the matches, it's in the middle of the
- 45:30Speaker 1: fucking match so many fucking times. I don't I mean,
- 45:34Speaker 1: it's it's it's horrendous. It's horrendous. The viewing experience has
- 45:38Speaker 1: never ever been as bad as it is right now.
- 45:41Speaker 1: It's terrible. I don't know why. I don't know how
- 45:44Speaker 1: anybody who doesn't do this stomachs it, or why they
- 45:50Speaker 1: wouldn't just wait until the next day or some other
- 45:52Speaker 1: time and just, you know, fast forward through and just
- 45:54Speaker 1: watch what they want to watch. It's awful, absolutely awful.
- 46:02Speaker 1: So later on, Charlotte tried to move from the apron,
- 46:06Speaker 1: she got caught into a Samoan drop for a near fall.
- 46:09Speaker 1: Nya dragged Charlotte over to the corner she was looking
- 46:11Speaker 1: for the annihilator. Charlotte moved out of the way, followed
- 46:14Speaker 1: that with the moon Salt legend broke up the pin
- 46:17Speaker 1: but then fell victim to a tornado DDT from Bliss.
- 46:21Speaker 1: So outside the ring, Charlotte and Nya were going at it,
- 46:25Speaker 1: and it all ended with Nya pulling Nicki Bella out
- 46:29Speaker 1: of her chair into harm's way as Charlotte came in
- 46:33Speaker 1: with a big boot, so she inadvertently booted Nicki down
- 46:37Speaker 1: to the ground. Back in the ring flare connected with
- 46:41Speaker 1: natural selection, Alexa went up top. She was going to
- 46:44Speaker 1: go for twisted Bliss, but Breee Bella gets into the
- 46:48Speaker 1: ring and attacks Nya Jacks for the disqualification. Referee calls
- 46:54Speaker 1: for the bell and after the match was over, Nya
- 46:58Speaker 1: and Lash they laid everybody out and they stood tall,
- 47:01Speaker 1: and I just I wrote one word here in my
- 47:05Speaker 1: notes at the end of this chapter here, ug. That's it.
- 47:11Speaker 1: That's all I wrote, UG, because what else is there
- 47:16Speaker 1: to say. Now? Obviously they're building to a multi team
- 47:21Speaker 1: match of WrestleMania. That much is clear. Although later on
- 47:24Speaker 1: in the back, when the Bellas confronted Charlotte and Alexa,
- 47:27Speaker 1: they let them know we talked to all this and
- 47:31Speaker 1: we're up next, and it was announced that the Bella
- 47:34Speaker 1: twins are going to be getting a Tag Team Championship
- 47:36Speaker 1: match next week on SmackDown. Now. I'm sure Charlotte and
- 47:43Speaker 1: Alexa will be sitting ringside as observers watching their match
- 47:47Speaker 1: next week, and we'll get a very similar angle, and
- 47:51Speaker 1: this will all lead to multi team Madnissent Mania for
- 47:55Speaker 1: the tag belt. At least with Charlotte and Alexa and
- 47:58Speaker 1: the Bella Twins against Nay and Lash. They could end
- 48:02Speaker 1: up throwing one or two more teams in there. You
- 48:04Speaker 1: know who knows. We can get Bailey and Lyra as
- 48:07Speaker 1: a team, Raquel and Rock Sam. I mean, there's any
- 48:09Speaker 1: number of teams that you could throw in there. You
- 48:11Speaker 1: want to have five, six teams in there, turn it
- 48:14Speaker 1: into a ladder match if you won't, I'm not asking
- 48:16Speaker 1: for that. I'm just saying it could end up being
- 48:19Speaker 1: more than just those three teams. But this is very
- 48:21Speaker 1: clearly leading to something of media. So whatever's going to
- 48:23Speaker 1: happen next week is going to be very similar to
- 48:25Speaker 1: what happened tonight. That seems to be the direction here.
- 48:31Speaker 1: We go backstage and we see Jelly Roll is back
- 48:36Speaker 1: there and he's chatting with Damian Priest in Our Truth,
- 48:40Speaker 1: and after that, Jelly Roll spots his old friend Randy Orton.
- 48:45Speaker 1: He goes over to Randy and they're exchanging pleasantries with
- 48:49Speaker 1: each other. And I'm gonna be on Miss TV. What
- 48:54Speaker 1: do you recommend? And Orton says, well, if the miss
- 48:57Speaker 1: is a waxing on for too long, you should drop
- 49:00Speaker 1: his ass. That was his advice. But I'm watching this
- 49:04Speaker 1: and I'm going, why is Jelly Roll here? I mean,
- 49:08Speaker 1: I know they love their celebrities, and Jelly's cool, you know.
- 49:11Speaker 1: I mean when he was in that match at Summer
- 49:13Speaker 1: Slim last year, right, he did his part and I
- 49:15Speaker 1: thought he did very well. I can't say that I'm
- 49:20Speaker 1: excited to see him in the way that I would
- 49:22Speaker 1: be excited if they were bringing Bad Bunny back, because
- 49:25Speaker 1: Bad Bunny had a genuinely great fucking singles match with
- 49:28Speaker 1: Damian Priest once upon a time. I wouldn't mind seeing
- 49:32Speaker 1: him back. But I get why they want them on
- 49:34Speaker 1: the shows, right. They're very popular music artists, millions of downloads.
- 49:38Speaker 1: Jelly Roll just won three Grammy Awards, WrestleMania is coming up.
- 49:43Speaker 1: We got to get the obligatory celebrity on the show.
- 49:46Speaker 1: So now we got Jelly Roll back, and they're setting
- 49:49Speaker 1: him up here for a segment with the Mizz and
- 49:50Speaker 1: I'm like, don't tell me. They're doing jelly roll and
- 49:53Speaker 1: the Miz at WrestleMania. We'll get back to this. First
- 50:00Speaker 1: we have Damian Priest and our Truth against Los Garza
- 50:05Speaker 1: Truth wrapped to the ring, and then they went to
- 50:08Speaker 1: a commercial. They came back, they wrestled for maybe two
- 50:12Speaker 1: and a half minutes maybe, and then they went to
- 50:15Speaker 1: another fucking commercial. I shit you not. And then I'm
- 50:20Speaker 1: so I'm watching and they give you the counter in
- 50:22Speaker 1: the corner that tells you it's like seven commercials. You're
- 50:26Speaker 1: on commercial one of seven. I'm like, well, great, I'll
- 50:35Speaker 1: go fix a snack. I guess for myself. Come back
- 50:38Speaker 1: up here. We still were only on commercial five of seven. So, like,
- 50:43Speaker 1: we have these matches and it's hard to even like
- 50:46Speaker 1: rate or judge the quality of the matches because you
- 50:50Speaker 1: miss half of them. It just makes the matches completely inconsequential.
- 50:54Speaker 1: It doesn't even matter. And sometimes it's interesting because and
- 50:59Speaker 1: I use the VPN, so I'm watching these smackdowns on
- 51:03Speaker 1: Netflix technically, and maybe it depends on what server you
- 51:06Speaker 1: connect to, but it's very inconsistent because some commercial breaks,
- 51:10Speaker 1: it'll fade to black and then come right back and
- 51:12Speaker 1: you can watch the action right which you can't do
- 51:14Speaker 1: on USA network. But I would say at this point,
- 51:17Speaker 1: you know half the shows, you get the commercials, you
- 51:20Speaker 1: get the commercials. So it might depend on what country
- 51:23Speaker 1: you're connected to, but I do think they're trying to
- 51:27Speaker 1: force more of them in there, but it's like I
- 51:30Speaker 1: would say, it's a probably half and half split. I
- 51:34Speaker 1: think with a Jade match, of all the matches on
- 51:36Speaker 1: this show, I got to see what was going on
- 51:38Speaker 1: with the Jade match during commercial. That's gee. Thanks. These
- 51:45Speaker 1: WrestleMania commercials are annoying as fuck. Well that could very
- 51:50Speaker 1: well be because think about it, we have been watching
- 51:52Speaker 1: these WrestleMania commercials with Aerosmith since November because they were
- 51:58Speaker 1: very very like, we got to sell tickets for WrestleMania
- 52:01Speaker 1: this year, so when tickets went on sale in November,
- 52:04Speaker 1: we've been seeing these commercials since November, and it's kind
- 52:10Speaker 1: of sad that they still five weeks out don't even
- 52:13Speaker 1: have forty thousand tickets out for either night. Now they'll
- 52:18Speaker 1: make a metric fuck ton of money and set a
- 52:20Speaker 1: new Gate record because of the ticket prices they're charging,
- 52:24Speaker 1: but yeah, last night checked, it was still right around
- 52:26Speaker 1: thirty seven thousand each night. We're five weeks out. Not great.
- 52:33Speaker 1: Angel avoided a South of Heaven late in the match. Priest, though,
- 52:35Speaker 1: dropped him with a razor's edge. Truth tag back in
- 52:39Speaker 1: and that set up stereo finishes. Truth hit the attitude adjustment,
- 52:43Speaker 1: Priest hit the South of Heaven and they picked up
- 52:46Speaker 1: the win. The fans were into the finish at least
- 52:49Speaker 1: when they hit the double finishing moves there. Honestly, I
- 52:52Speaker 1: will say this pairing Damian Priest off with Our Truth,
- 52:57Speaker 1: even though it makes pri seem less than because Truth
- 53:00Speaker 1: is not someone that really is focused on at a
- 53:03Speaker 1: very high level here on this show. So to come
- 53:06Speaker 1: out of this long feud with Alistair Black that he
- 53:09Speaker 1: won and then just get paired off with Our Truth,
- 53:12Speaker 1: it's a step down. But Truth is likable. He's over
- 53:16Speaker 1: with the audience and it allows them to do you know,
- 53:20Speaker 1: comedy in the back. And I actually think it benefits
- 53:23Speaker 1: Damian Priest because Damian Priest was very cold, and I
- 53:26Speaker 1: do think Priest is better when he is paired off,
- 53:28Speaker 1: either with someone or a group, because he has not
- 53:32Speaker 1: been able to recapture what he had when he was
- 53:35Speaker 1: with the Judgment Day and in the immediate aftermath of that,
- 53:38Speaker 1: like when him and Rheas split away from the Judgment
- 53:40Speaker 1: Day on Rowthy were super over, and ever since he
- 53:44Speaker 1: moved over to SmackDown and he's been by himself, he
- 53:46Speaker 1: has not been able to recapture that at all. So
- 53:49Speaker 1: I do think he's someone who is better off, frankly,
- 53:52Speaker 1: being paired off with at least one other person. So
- 53:54Speaker 1: I think for him, you know, it probably benefits him.
- 53:58Speaker 1: It's still sad though, that they felt the need to
- 54:00Speaker 1: even put these two together. It's a sad commentary on
- 54:02Speaker 1: the state of the tag team division on this show.
- 54:06Speaker 1: Speaking of which, that's the perfect segue talking about the
- 54:10Speaker 1: sad state of the tag team division as we go
- 54:13Speaker 1: to the back and Johnny Gargano, who was no longer
- 54:16Speaker 1: in a tag team but he used to be, and
- 54:19Speaker 1: I'm sure he would still love to be, but apparently
- 54:22Speaker 1: he is firmly entrenched in his WWE contract according to
- 54:25Speaker 1: fight Fuls, so he is not going anywhere anytime soon.
- 54:29Speaker 1: So anybody looking forward to the diy FTR rematch in
- 54:34Speaker 1: aw You're gonna have to wait a little bit longer,
- 54:37Speaker 1: But they go to the back and there he is,
- 54:40Speaker 1: and Johnny Gargano is laying face down on another production case,
- 54:43Speaker 1: as he's been doing every single week. He's been laying
- 54:46Speaker 1: down on a crate. And Candice Larray is standing there
- 54:50Speaker 1: and Alec Shelley is standing there as well, and they're
- 54:54Speaker 1: trying to figure out what to do with this guy.
- 54:57Speaker 1: The bigger story here, honestly, much bigger than any of
- 55:00Speaker 1: this bullshit, is what was going on in the background.
- 55:03Speaker 1: Did you notice what was going on in the background
- 55:07Speaker 1: during this segment? Off in the distance, Jade Cargill was
- 55:12Speaker 1: having a conversation with b Fab and then they walked off.
- 55:17Speaker 1: They left together, So it looks like Jade maybe getting
- 55:21Speaker 1: herself a new Batty soon. You know, wouldn't that be
- 55:26Speaker 1: something at WrestleMania if rear Ripley loses because of b Fab,
- 55:34Speaker 1: what a finish that would be to that WrestleMania match.
- 55:37Speaker 1: I actually don't mind, and I don't know that this
- 55:40Speaker 1: is where they're going with it, but I did float
- 55:43Speaker 1: that as a possibility a few months ago where maybe
- 55:46Speaker 1: they would put b Fab with Jade and maybe even
- 55:50Speaker 1: find one other person, because you know, when Jade was
- 55:52Speaker 1: in aw she had the batties, she had Leila Gray,
- 55:54Speaker 1: and I forgot who the other one was. But I
- 55:59Speaker 1: don't think that's a terrible idea if they wanted to
- 56:00Speaker 1: do something like that here and put a couple of
- 56:03Speaker 1: people with her. But yeah, keep your eye on the beefab.
- 56:07Speaker 1: Something's cooking there. But after Candas rolled Johnny away on
- 56:13Speaker 1: his case, Chris Saban showed up and he told Shelley
- 56:19Speaker 1: that he had just spoken with Nick all this and
- 56:21Speaker 1: he got them a match with Fhraxium on the show
- 56:23Speaker 1: next week, and Shelley was all excited, and Saban was
- 56:27Speaker 1: still upset with Shelley for what happened last week. I
- 56:31Speaker 1: guess we're just paying more attention to Johnny Gargano because
- 56:34Speaker 1: he really thinks he can help Johnny, and he's like,
- 56:37Speaker 1: you're paying more attention to this guy than our team.
- 56:41Speaker 1: So next week, he's expecting Shelley to prove himself that
- 56:46Speaker 1: he still stands for the Motor City machine Guns. Elsewhere
- 56:50Speaker 1: in the back, the Miz is walking and he runs
- 56:54Speaker 1: into Dan Hausen. Dan Housen shills his new T shirt,
- 56:58Speaker 1: which apparently is selling very well well, and MSS is
- 57:01Speaker 1: surprised that Dan Housen even has merch. He's been here
- 57:03Speaker 1: for a week, and Dan Housen says, well, I have
- 57:05Speaker 1: my new T shirt the very first night I came in,
- 57:08Speaker 1: which it is very interesting, isn't it how that we
- 57:11Speaker 1: talk about contracts and contract tampering and all this stuff,
- 57:15Speaker 1: And clearly Dan Housen was still under contract to AW
- 57:19Speaker 1: until like the night before he debuted, because that's when
- 57:23Speaker 1: they pulled him off the roster page. It's like when
- 57:25Speaker 1: the clock struck midnight the day of the elimination chamber. Right,
- 57:29Speaker 1: he became a free agent, and they had It's like
- 57:31Speaker 1: they had everything already laid out, like they had the
- 57:35Speaker 1: entrance and they had the music, and they had the
- 57:38Speaker 1: T shirts made. It's like, hmm, how how far at
- 57:42Speaker 1: advance did they have this deal made? Is what I
- 57:44Speaker 1: would like to know. So he says that I've got
- 57:49Speaker 1: my idea for my own talk show to I missus
- 57:52Speaker 1: like he's doing miss TV. But Dan Housen has all
- 57:55Speaker 1: these ideas about you know, I'm gonna do this show
- 57:58Speaker 1: and we'll call it this, and mis didn't want to
- 58:00Speaker 1: hear about it. He blew him off. So dan Housen
- 58:05Speaker 1: cursed him again, so you knew exactly where this next
- 58:10Speaker 1: segment was going here, which was miss TV. And his
- 58:15Speaker 1: microphone was not working, of course, not because he's cursed,
- 58:20Speaker 1: so he asked for another one, and then he brought
- 58:22Speaker 1: out Jelly Roll to the ring Jada Parker. See that's interesting.
- 58:30Speaker 1: See that could work. B fab and Jada Parker as
- 58:34Speaker 1: Jade's new batties. That could work. It would be one
- 58:41Speaker 1: way to introduce Jada to the main roster. Is she ready? Though?
- 58:49Speaker 1: I haven't watched too much NXT of late because I
- 58:52Speaker 1: think Jada disappeared for a while. She may have been hurt,
- 58:56Speaker 1: so I haven't seen some of her recent work. Is
- 58:58Speaker 1: she ready for a main roster? Well, I'm sure she is.
- 59:00Speaker 1: I mean, they got fucking Lash Legend on the main roster,
- 59:03Speaker 1: so if Lash is good enough to be on the
- 59:06Speaker 1: main roster, I don't see why Jada Parker shouldn't be.
- 59:12Speaker 1: So Jelly Roll comes out and said that there was
- 59:15Speaker 1: no way he was gonna miss his boys, Randy Orton
- 59:17Speaker 1: and Cody Rhoads, and they're big contracts signing here tonight
- 59:20Speaker 1: in Phoenix, and the fans actually reacted. They showed signs
- 59:25Speaker 1: of life here in this segment, so Miss tried to
- 59:28Speaker 1: convince Jelly to take him on as a mentor, and
- 59:32Speaker 1: mister Roll was not interested in that. He knows the
- 59:36Speaker 1: history of Miss stabbing partners in the back. Mis mentions
- 59:39Speaker 1: Jelly's redemption story, but he pointed out that two years ago,
- 59:44Speaker 1: two years ago, at SummerSlam, Jelly, you know, he basically,
- 59:49Speaker 1: if you remember, at SummerSlam, he did a spot I
- 59:51Speaker 1: want to say it was with Austin Theory, right, he
- 59:53Speaker 1: gave I think he gave Austin Theory a big choke
- 59:55Speaker 1: slam or something, and he couldn't get He trouble getting
- 1:00:00Speaker 1: up because he was just morbidly obese. As Miz pointed
- 1:00:04Speaker 1: out here, like your your obese body, you were not
- 1:00:07Speaker 1: able to get up off the mat. You had to
- 1:00:08Speaker 1: be helped up. And he goes, that was the moment
- 1:00:12Speaker 1: that Jelly knew he needed to change his life. So basically,
- 1:00:16Speaker 1: it's as if he's taking credit for Jelly having this
- 1:00:18Speaker 1: realization that I've got to make a change here in
- 1:00:21Speaker 1: my life. Right. So he got very hot about that
- 1:00:24Speaker 1: and asked if MS was actually trying to take credit
- 1:00:27Speaker 1: for him losing two hundred and fifty pounds, Well, that
- 1:00:33Speaker 1: would be that would be the ozempic, right, It's a
- 1:00:36Speaker 1: combination of ozempic and exercise and everything out. I mean,
- 1:00:39Speaker 1: it's so crazy. I see these pictures of all these
- 1:00:41Speaker 1: celebrities and you see it in their face. I saw
- 1:00:44Speaker 1: something I couldn't even believe. I thought it was Ai
- 1:00:46Speaker 1: or something. There was a god. Who was it? Was
- 1:00:50Speaker 1: it Ozzie's daughter. She used to be on a talk show.
- 1:00:54Speaker 1: I don't remember the name of the talk show. Maybe
- 1:00:56Speaker 1: she still is, I don't know. But there was something
- 1:00:59Speaker 1: that came across my timeline and had her name on there,
- 1:01:03Speaker 1: Kelly Kelly Osbourne, and I'm like, that's not Kelly O's.
- 1:01:06Speaker 1: I thought the caption was incorrect. I thought that they
- 1:01:10Speaker 1: were taking her name and inadvertently attaching it to somebody else.
- 1:01:15Speaker 1: I had no idea that that was her, Like, she
- 1:01:18Speaker 1: doesn't even look like the same person. I was like, wow,
- 1:01:22Speaker 1: I had no idea. I had no idea. And then
- 1:01:28Speaker 1: there were people in the comments that were like piling
- 1:01:30Speaker 1: on her and everything else, and I, you know, that's
- 1:01:33Speaker 1: awful and terrible, but like I legit had no idea
- 1:01:36Speaker 1: that this was the same person. It's like, wow, anyway,
- 1:01:42Speaker 1: So he got very upset with Mis for trying to
- 1:01:45Speaker 1: take credit for his massive weight loss. He called Mis
- 1:01:48Speaker 1: a disgusting person. So then Mis said that he liked
- 1:01:52Speaker 1: Jelly better when he was fat. Jelly says, fat or skinny,
- 1:01:56Speaker 1: I'll whip your ass. It's like when a Stone told
- 1:02:00Speaker 1: CM Punk wherever they had that backstage segment. This is
- 1:02:06Speaker 1: why I hope Austin's on the show on Monday. I
- 1:02:08Speaker 1: would love one more backstage interaction with him in Punk.
- 1:02:12Speaker 1: But they had that show all oh god, what year
- 1:02:14Speaker 1: was that? That had to be twenty twenty eleven, right,
- 1:02:18Speaker 1: twenty eleven, twenty twelve, twenty eleven, Yeah, it was definitely.
- 1:02:22Speaker 1: It was definitely June of twenty eleven. And they were
- 1:02:27Speaker 1: in the back and Punk said like, have you taken
- 1:02:32Speaker 1: a breathalyzer? He wants him to take a breathalyzer? Can
- 1:02:35Speaker 1: you spell the alphabet backwards? And Austin's like, well, now
- 1:02:39Speaker 1: I could whip your ass backwards. I'm it's a fucking
- 1:02:41Speaker 1: great come on, we need another segment with them on Monday.
- 1:02:47Speaker 1: Come on, you cowards. So a misdemanded respect because he's
- 1:02:52Speaker 1: the locker room leader and Jelly roll called him a
- 1:02:55Speaker 1: locker room loser. This brings out Kit Wilson and he
- 1:03:01Speaker 1: says that miss should stop wasting time talking with Jelly
- 1:03:04Speaker 1: because Jelly is the problem. He says. Jelly says he
- 1:03:07Speaker 1: likes Kit. We all like Kit, and then he does
- 1:03:11Speaker 1: the Kit Wilson pose where he liked gyrates. So Wilson
- 1:03:16Speaker 1: doesn't like Jelly's face tattoos or his criminal history, and
- 1:03:19Speaker 1: he says the Jelly Roll is someone running away from
- 1:03:22Speaker 1: who he really is. And then he calls it Jelly
- 1:03:25Speaker 1: Roll fat phobic, and he says the Jelly doesn't inspire anyone,
- 1:03:31Speaker 1: He just promotes an unhealthy beauty standard. And he calls
- 1:03:34Speaker 1: Jelly Roll toxic. So they get to shoving and Jelly
- 1:03:40Speaker 1: Roll throws a punch. Kit Wilson gets out of the way,
- 1:03:44Speaker 1: and of course, because he's cursed, mis gets punched by accident.
- 1:03:49Speaker 1: That is how the segment ended. I will say the
- 1:03:52Speaker 1: Jelly Roll is not a bad promo. Again, he is
- 1:03:55Speaker 1: better than most wrestlers I see on TV. And the fans,
- 1:03:59Speaker 1: you know, cheered, they were behind Jelly Roll. He had
- 1:04:02Speaker 1: a certain intensity about his promo that really worked for him.
- 1:04:08Speaker 1: That's probably the best thing I could say about this.
- 1:04:11Speaker 1: Am I excited to see Jelly Roll against the Miz
- 1:04:14Speaker 1: of WrestleMania? I am not. I know it will be
- 1:04:17Speaker 1: the It'll be the obligatory comedy match, kind of like
- 1:04:22Speaker 1: come down entertainment match of the nights, you know, like
- 1:04:26Speaker 1: what we had with Sammy Zine and Johnny Knoxville all
- 1:04:29Speaker 1: those years ago, or was that WrestleMania thirty eight, which,
- 1:04:32Speaker 1: to be fair, that match ended up being a lot
- 1:04:35Speaker 1: of fun. So I'm not saying this can't be a
- 1:04:37Speaker 1: lot of fun. But I'm just saying, like I can't
- 1:04:39Speaker 1: sit here and tell you I'm excited to see it.
- 1:04:42Speaker 1: I hope it all works out where maybe it'll end
- 1:04:44Speaker 1: up being one of the sleeper matches of the show.
- 1:04:46Speaker 1: But do I care about any of this? No, No,
- 1:04:50Speaker 1: I do not. But my guess is it'll be miss
- 1:04:56Speaker 1: against Jelly. Dan Housen will end up being in Jelly
- 1:04:59Speaker 1: Roll's corner, Kit Wilson will end up being in Missus corner,
- 1:05:04Speaker 1: and that's gonna be the match of WrestleMania. Really not
- 1:05:06Speaker 1: much else to say about this. We did find out
- 1:05:09Speaker 1: that Kit Wilson is going to be calling out Jelly
- 1:05:12Speaker 1: Roll on next week's show, so apparently he'll be back.
- 1:05:16Speaker 1: They cut to the back and we see Apollo Cruise
- 1:05:20Speaker 1: and il you, dragon Of. They have an Ilia Dragonof
- 1:05:22Speaker 1: hanging out now with Apollo Cruise in the back. The
- 1:05:26Speaker 1: last person we saw hanging out with Apollo Cruise was
- 1:05:28Speaker 1: Matt Cardona, who I don't think we've seen since. But
- 1:05:32Speaker 1: they're they're in the back having just watched the segment
- 1:05:36Speaker 1: that we saw, and they this was just they're reacting
- 1:05:42Speaker 1: to it in the phoniest of ways, especially dragon Of.
- 1:05:47Speaker 1: Dragonoff was like, oh wow, Like I'm like, dude, Like
- 1:05:52Speaker 1: he can't even he can't even fake his enjoyment of
- 1:05:55Speaker 1: that segment. He's trying, but it's just it's not working.
- 1:05:59Speaker 1: So Carmelo Hayes shows up. He wants to have a
- 1:06:01Speaker 1: chat with Dragonov, who said that he was stuck between
- 1:06:04Speaker 1: two extremes. Ilia said ultimate confidence on one hand, self
- 1:06:10Speaker 1: doubt on the other, and Hayes asked him to lock
- 1:06:14Speaker 1: in unless there was something more to why he couldn't
- 1:06:17Speaker 1: just fight him, and Dragonov said that he couldn't fight
- 1:06:21Speaker 1: Hayes right now because he was fighting himself. Deep doesn't
- 1:06:29Speaker 1: really make for exciting television, now, does it. When this
- 1:06:32Speaker 1: is what how many weeks in a row? Now that
- 1:06:34Speaker 1: Ilia Dragonov has said I can't fight you, and he
- 1:06:37Speaker 1: really hasn't given us a straight answer about why how
- 1:06:40Speaker 1: many weeks has this been going on for? It's a
- 1:06:43Speaker 1: match I want to see, and if they do it
- 1:06:45Speaker 1: at WrestleMania, that's great. But every fucking week I can't
- 1:06:49Speaker 1: fight you. I can't fight you. I can't fight you.
- 1:06:52Speaker 1: I'm having an internal struggle. I can't fight you. Doesn't
- 1:06:56Speaker 1: really make for very interesting TV. So as Tiffany Stratt,
- 1:07:01Speaker 1: we go to Tiffany Stratt, she's looking into the camera
- 1:07:05Speaker 1: and she's addressing Julia and Keana James, and Chelsea Green
- 1:07:10Speaker 1: rolls up behind her in her wheelchair and as soon
- 1:07:14Speaker 1: as she rolls up, Tiffany just takes the wheelchair and
- 1:07:17Speaker 1: just pushes it and off goes Chelsea. And then Tiffany
- 1:07:21Speaker 1: turns back to the camera and just continues to cut
- 1:07:23Speaker 1: her promo and in the background you see Alba Fire
- 1:07:27Speaker 1: just running trying to catch up to Chelsea. So that
- 1:07:29Speaker 1: was kind of amusing, and Tiffany said what she said,
- 1:07:33Speaker 1: It's gonna be Tiffy time. She was on her way
- 1:07:35Speaker 1: to the ring for her match elsewhere. Dan Hausen appeared
- 1:07:39Speaker 1: again with his jar of teeth, and he asked the
- 1:07:42Speaker 1: miss if he got any of his teeth knocked out
- 1:07:43Speaker 1: by Jimmy jam because he wanted to add more to
- 1:07:46Speaker 1: his collection. And dan Housen then reminded Miss, you know
- 1:07:49Speaker 1: there was one way. There's only one way to reverse
- 1:07:52Speaker 1: the curse, and miss was about to tell him off,
- 1:07:55Speaker 1: but again when he turned around, dan Hausen was gone.
- 1:08:00Speaker 1: Tiffany stratting against Keana James. After a break, Chelsea Green
- 1:08:05Speaker 1: was rolled down to the ring by Alba Fire. Keana
- 1:08:09Speaker 1: went for a power bomb stratt encountered with the rolling
- 1:08:12Speaker 1: sent on. She was getting ready to hit the prettiest
- 1:08:14Speaker 1: moon Salt ever when Julia pulled Keana out of the ring,
- 1:08:17Speaker 1: and so Tiffany decided to hit a dive out onto ball.
- 1:08:20Speaker 1: James and Julia at ringside. So in all of the chaos,
- 1:08:24Speaker 1: Chelsea stands up out of her wheelchair. She's got her
- 1:08:27Speaker 1: walking boot on for her broken ankle, which is legitimately broken.
- 1:08:32Speaker 1: She stands up out of the wheelchair and she is
- 1:08:35Speaker 1: wielding what appears to be a pink wrench, and she
- 1:08:41Speaker 1: is teasing that she is going to hit Tiffany with
- 1:08:43Speaker 1: the wrench. Julia, though, gets in the way and stops her.
- 1:08:48Speaker 1: Tiffany ends up getting back in the ring. Julia gets
- 1:08:50Speaker 1: up on the apron and grabs Tiffany, so Keana comes
- 1:08:54Speaker 1: in with a big boot. Tiffany moves and she inadvertently
- 1:08:57Speaker 1: boots Julia, who gets knocked off the apron, and she
- 1:09:00Speaker 1: on top of Chelsea and Alba and and awkwardly kind
- 1:09:04Speaker 1: of falls on them and wipes them out. At ringside
- 1:09:07Speaker 1: and then back in the ring, Stratton finishes things off
- 1:09:09Speaker 1: with the rolling sent on and the prettiest moon salt
- 1:09:13Speaker 1: ever for the win. It was actually a solid match
- 1:09:17Speaker 1: before all of the wackiness there at the end. Tiffany
- 1:09:20Speaker 1: and Julia for the US title was the match I
- 1:09:24Speaker 1: talked about a couple weeks ago. It just seemed to
- 1:09:27Speaker 1: me to be the obvious direction for Tiffany just by
- 1:09:29Speaker 1: process of elimination, because what else would Tiffany be doing
- 1:09:33Speaker 1: on the show, right, She's got to be doing something.
- 1:09:36Speaker 1: Julia was the only one who has a championship who
- 1:09:39Speaker 1: had no obvious opponents, so just put the two of
- 1:09:41Speaker 1: them together, So that clearly is the direction for many.
- 1:09:45Speaker 1: The question though, is where does Chelsea Green fit into
- 1:09:47Speaker 1: all this, because it feels to me like for weeks
- 1:09:50Speaker 1: now we've seen Tiffany interacting with Chelsea and Alba, so
- 1:09:56Speaker 1: they've been building something with them. If they think that
- 1:09:59Speaker 1: Chelle he is going to be back in time and
- 1:10:01Speaker 1: cleared in time for WrestleMania, and again she's got I
- 1:10:05Speaker 1: think it's a small break, but there is a break
- 1:10:07Speaker 1: in her ankle. I don't know how long she's been
- 1:10:10Speaker 1: out already for. If there's a possibility that she will
- 1:10:13Speaker 1: be back in time for WrestleMania, they can make it
- 1:10:15Speaker 1: a triple threat. But right now it looks like it's
- 1:10:18Speaker 1: gonna be Tiffany and Julia one on one and great,
- 1:10:22Speaker 1: there's no reason for that title not to be represented
- 1:10:24Speaker 1: on a show where every other women's championship is going
- 1:10:28Speaker 1: to be defended, Like, you can't do that. You can't
- 1:10:32Speaker 1: defend every other women's title and leave this one off
- 1:10:34Speaker 1: the show. What message does that? Senid? So I'm happy
- 1:10:38Speaker 1: they found something for Julia to She's probably gonna lose,
- 1:10:41Speaker 1: but I'm happy they found something for her to do
- 1:10:44Speaker 1: on the show. If you're gonna have the two world
- 1:10:46Speaker 1: titles and the women's I see and the women's tag
- 1:10:49Speaker 1: belts all represented at WrestleMania. You can find room for
- 1:10:53Speaker 1: the US title on that show, right, and again there's
- 1:10:55Speaker 1: talk that there could be five or six women's matches
- 1:10:57Speaker 1: on the card. Fine, as long as this is one,
- 1:11:01Speaker 1: and if Chelsea happens to be clear, then they could
- 1:11:03Speaker 1: just throw her in there. Chrise, it would be nice
- 1:11:05Speaker 1: for Chelsea to get a roll on the show too.
- 1:11:08Speaker 1: If not, she could sit in her wheelchair a ringside.
- 1:11:12Speaker 1: Now backstage, Kathy Kelly interviewed Trick Williams about his upcoming
- 1:11:16Speaker 1: match with Jacob fought Too. Sammy's ain showed up. This
- 1:11:19Speaker 1: is his new thing now, he just shows up and
- 1:11:22Speaker 1: he told Trick to keep talking. He remembered Trick saying
- 1:11:25Speaker 1: that he would walk into the main event of WrestleMania
- 1:11:27Speaker 1: and put the company on his back. And he also
- 1:11:29Speaker 1: remembered Trick saying that he couldn't get the job done
- 1:11:32Speaker 1: he being Sammy. Sammy said, Trick runs his mouth, but
- 1:11:35Speaker 1: he can't back it up. He says Trick is embarrassed
- 1:11:39Speaker 1: as he should be. So Trick says, you're lucky that
- 1:11:43Speaker 1: I have a match coming up where I would drop
- 1:11:45Speaker 1: your ass and Sammy said, I'm here every week. I'm
- 1:11:50Speaker 1: not a hard man to find, so I'll see you around.
- 1:11:55Speaker 1: I just love how Sammy's Ain's new gimmick is that
- 1:11:58Speaker 1: he's just backstage stirring up shit with everyone. He's just
- 1:12:01Speaker 1: like the resident shit stir in the back. He's just
- 1:12:05Speaker 1: you know, sidling up to Cody picking fights with Trick Williams.
- 1:12:10Speaker 1: He's walking up to Randy Orton, He's being confronted by
- 1:12:13Speaker 1: Alistair Black. He's got a lot, He's got more going
- 1:12:17Speaker 1: on backstage than he does in the ring. Still has
- 1:12:21Speaker 1: no WrestleMania match, although I would think Trick Williams would
- 1:12:24Speaker 1: be the obvious match for him. So he had Jacob
- 1:12:27Speaker 1: Fatu against Trick Williams. We finally got a good match
- 1:12:30Speaker 1: on this show. Finally Trick lined up the trick shot.
- 1:12:34Speaker 1: Fa Tu landed a super kick and then a pop
- 1:12:37Speaker 1: up samo and drop fa Towu went up top for
- 1:12:39Speaker 1: the swanton bomb, only got a near fall out of it,
- 1:12:42Speaker 1: so Trick rolled out of the ring. Fatu followed and
- 1:12:45Speaker 1: both men they wind up in front of the announced
- 1:12:47Speaker 1: desk outside. But guess who's back. He quit, but now
- 1:12:54Speaker 1: he unquit because Drew McIntyre showed up unbeknownst to the
- 1:12:58Speaker 1: referee and he attacked put him back in the ring.
- 1:13:02Speaker 1: That set up a Trick shot, and Trick Williams gets
- 1:13:05Speaker 1: the pin on Jacob Fatu. So you had to see
- 1:13:10Speaker 1: that coming, right, I mean, you knew, you knew it
- 1:13:13Speaker 1: was gonna be a fuck finish in this match of
- 1:13:15Speaker 1: some kind. Up until that point, though, what we got
- 1:13:17Speaker 1: from these two I thought was good before we got
- 1:13:20Speaker 1: the you know, the obvious Drew McIntyre return. After the match,
- 1:13:25Speaker 1: McIntyre took out Fatu in the ring with a Claymore
- 1:13:28Speaker 1: kick and before the main events segment. This is skipping
- 1:13:33Speaker 1: ahead a little bit, but when Nick all this was
- 1:13:34Speaker 1: in the ring for the contract signing, before he even
- 1:13:37Speaker 1: went into that, he did make an announcement, which is
- 1:13:40Speaker 1: that he wanted to welcome back Drew and also let
- 1:13:44Speaker 1: him know that next week on SmackDown, he's got a
- 1:13:47Speaker 1: match with Jacob Fatu. So they're doing the match on
- 1:13:52Speaker 1: TV next week. This is going to lead to a
- 1:13:55Speaker 1: rematch at Wrestle Media. And this actually kind of makes
- 1:13:59Speaker 1: sense because there's been rumors there was a report it
- 1:14:03Speaker 1: might have been from Wrestle Votes that WWE was looking
- 1:14:06Speaker 1: to really load up a lot of matches of WrestleMania
- 1:14:10Speaker 1: with stipulations, you know, in part because they have these
- 1:14:13Speaker 1: the first hour of WrestleMania on both nights is on
- 1:14:16Speaker 1: ESPN two and ESPN. But they want to have stipulations
- 1:14:20Speaker 1: for some of the undercard matches on the show. And
- 1:14:23Speaker 1: so it makes sense that they're gonna do the first
- 1:14:25Speaker 1: match between them next week. We're not going to get
- 1:14:27Speaker 1: a clean finish or a decisive finish, and then they'll
- 1:14:30Speaker 1: run it back at WrestleMania with a stipulation. And I
- 1:14:33Speaker 1: just looked back to last year. What was Drew McIntyre
- 1:14:35Speaker 1: doing on the WrestleMania card. Last year? He was wrestling
- 1:14:38Speaker 1: Damian Priest in a Sin City street fight. Would not
- 1:14:42Speaker 1: at all be shocked if they put Drew back in
- 1:14:44Speaker 1: the Sin City street fight again this year or some
- 1:14:47Speaker 1: or some sort of stipulation, but some kind of street
- 1:14:50Speaker 1: fight stipulation would make sense. That's what this feels like
- 1:14:53Speaker 1: to me. So I think that's what they're gonna end
- 1:14:54Speaker 1: up doing. And you know, as soon as you lost
- 1:14:57Speaker 1: the championship, this was the obvious match. And I still
- 1:15:01Speaker 1: sit here. I still sit here, and I maintain I
- 1:15:05Speaker 1: am not convinced that Drew McIntyre was the one who
- 1:15:11Speaker 1: kicked Jacob's teeth out of his mouth. Now, maybe they're
- 1:15:16Speaker 1: just going to abandon that story altogether. Maybe Drew will
- 1:15:20Speaker 1: pop up on television one of these weeks and he'll
- 1:15:22Speaker 1: cop to it and say, you know what, I lied,
- 1:15:24Speaker 1: I really did do it. But I'm just telling you,
- 1:15:28Speaker 1: I still think it's gonna end up being either Randy
- 1:15:30Speaker 1: Orton or sammy'san. I was leaning towards Orton, and actually
- 1:15:35Speaker 1: him doing what he did to Cody tonight kind of
- 1:15:37Speaker 1: lends more credence to that, to be honest with you,
- 1:15:39Speaker 1: but I am still not convinced that it was Drew
- 1:15:43Speaker 1: McIntyre behind that attack. But they closed the show with
- 1:15:48Speaker 1: the only segment of the night that really mattered, if
- 1:15:51Speaker 1: we're being perfectly honest here, It was the contract signing
- 1:15:54Speaker 1: for the WWE title match between Cody Rhodes and Randy Orton,
- 1:15:59Speaker 1: and came out, he was cheered. Cody came out and
- 1:16:04Speaker 1: he got booze. Wasn't booed out of the building, but
- 1:16:06Speaker 1: he got booze noticeable booze certainly more than what well
- 1:16:10Speaker 1: Randy didn't get any booze, but he certainly got booze himself.
- 1:16:14Speaker 1: So Cody and Randy are in the ring and they
- 1:16:16Speaker 1: hug and they sit right next to each other at
- 1:16:19Speaker 1: the table. Randy even asked him, he is a little
- 1:16:21Speaker 1: awkward the two of us sitting so close together. He
- 1:16:23Speaker 1: was being awfully nice. This should have been a dead
- 1:16:25Speaker 1: giveaway something was going down here. So Cody said, you know,
- 1:16:28Speaker 1: in two thousand and seven, his very first match in
- 1:16:32Speaker 1: WWE was against Randy Orton, and he would then go
- 1:16:37Speaker 1: on to watch Randy win the Royal Rumble in main
- 1:16:40Speaker 1: event wrestle Mania, and yeah, that terrible main event, and
- 1:16:45Speaker 1: he thought if he could be like that one day,
- 1:16:49Speaker 1: And then he left, and Randy put a post out
- 1:16:53Speaker 1: after Cody left about how he thought that Cody could
- 1:16:55Speaker 1: be a world champion one day. So he's always been
- 1:16:59Speaker 1: proud to be r Andy's boy. And with that, Cody
- 1:17:01Speaker 1: signed the contract. Randy Orton's turned down, but he hesitates.
- 1:17:06Speaker 1: He goes to sidne it, he stops short, he stands up,
- 1:17:09Speaker 1: He goes in the corner. He bows his head like
- 1:17:11Speaker 1: he's conflicted about something, and he takes the microphone. He
- 1:17:16Speaker 1: goes he doesn't think Cody understands, like I need this,
- 1:17:21Speaker 1: and he's pointing up of the WrestleMania sign like I
- 1:17:24Speaker 1: need this. But this wasn't supposed to be this hard.
- 1:17:28Speaker 1: It was supposed to be Drew. It was supposed to
- 1:17:31Speaker 1: be him against Drew for the championship. But now Cody
- 1:17:34Speaker 1: is the champion. And Cody gets up and he tells him,
- 1:17:36Speaker 1: let me let me take this weight off your shoulders.
- 1:17:39Speaker 1: When the bell rings at WrestleMania, right he says, we
- 1:17:43Speaker 1: get to watch the best Randy Orton that there's ever been.
- 1:17:46Speaker 1: He gets the legend killer, the one that JBL said,
- 1:17:49Speaker 1: if you built a wrestler from the ground up, it
- 1:17:52Speaker 1: would be Randy. Orton says he knows that they get
- 1:17:56Speaker 1: the master of the RKO. But that's when the bell rings,
- 1:18:01Speaker 1: and after it's over, he wants him to know he
- 1:18:04Speaker 1: will always love him. So Randy goes and he signs
- 1:18:10Speaker 1: the contract and with that the two of them shook hands.
- 1:18:16Speaker 1: Right now, I'm waiting, I'm waiting to see someone coming out.
- 1:18:19Speaker 1: Is Randy goet to do? I thought Randy was just
- 1:18:20Speaker 1: gonna drop him on the spot with an RKO. But
- 1:18:25Speaker 1: they shake hands and then Randy rams him. Randy the
- 1:18:28Speaker 1: ram he rams him face first into the table and
- 1:18:33Speaker 1: then he just kicks him square in the dick. And
- 1:18:36Speaker 1: I just got flashbacks to a year ago with the
- 1:18:38Speaker 1: John Cena stuff. But he kicks him in the dick.
- 1:18:43Speaker 1: He rips Cody's shirt off, he throws him out of
- 1:18:46Speaker 1: the ring. He goes outside. He throws Cody over the
- 1:18:49Speaker 1: announced desk, and then he picks up the ring steps
- 1:18:53Speaker 1: and he hits Cody in the head with them when
- 1:18:55Speaker 1: Cody gets back up, So nick All, this comes over
- 1:18:58Speaker 1: because we got to get away from Cody here for
- 1:19:00Speaker 1: a minute. Let Cody do his business. Nick All, this
- 1:19:04Speaker 1: comes over and Randy shoves him down on his ass.
- 1:19:09Speaker 1: So now when they cut back to Cody, Cody comes
- 1:19:11Speaker 1: up and he is busted wide open. I mean, he
- 1:19:17Speaker 1: looked like he hit a good one here. He's got
- 1:19:19Speaker 1: blood just pouring out of his head and it's all
- 1:19:21Speaker 1: over his tie and his shirt and everything. Randy places
- 1:19:26Speaker 1: him on top of the announced desk and he's just
- 1:19:28Speaker 1: punching away at his forehead. And Randy leans the steps
- 1:19:33Speaker 1: up against the announced desk and he places Cody's head
- 1:19:38Speaker 1: that Cody is laying on the desk. He places Cody's
- 1:19:41Speaker 1: head in the crevice of the ring steps, like what
- 1:19:45Speaker 1: are they going to do here? So Jelly Roll, who
- 1:19:50Speaker 1: was in the crowd watching this, Jelly Roll now comes over.
- 1:19:55Speaker 1: I guess he's trying to calm down Randy. What are
- 1:19:57Speaker 1: you doing, Randy? Or I sing of a fucking song.
- 1:20:00Speaker 1: Randy turns around and he shoves jelly Roll down. So
- 1:20:05Speaker 1: Randy looks down at himself and he sees, you know,
- 1:20:09Speaker 1: Cody's blood is all over his arms, and Cody's blood
- 1:20:12Speaker 1: is all over his chest, and he looks stunned at
- 1:20:16Speaker 1: his own actions, like again like he snapped, can't believe
- 1:20:21Speaker 1: what he's done, and he goes to leave. So all
- 1:20:25Speaker 1: this gets back up, Jelly Roll gets back up, and
- 1:20:28Speaker 1: they go over to check on Cody, who again is
- 1:20:31Speaker 1: laying on the desk. His head is in the crevice
- 1:20:33Speaker 1: of the steps, and all the officials are there checking
- 1:20:35Speaker 1: on him. Randy eventually comes back though. He's got a
- 1:20:38Speaker 1: steel chair and he climbs up on top of the
- 1:20:40Speaker 1: announced desk and he smashes the steps right, so we're
- 1:20:43Speaker 1: supposedly he's caving Cody's heading with the chair, but he
- 1:20:47Speaker 1: hit the steps and so it made a nice loud sound.
- 1:20:53Speaker 1: And at that point, you know, they got this great
- 1:20:56Speaker 1: shot of Randy who is standing on top of the
- 1:20:58Speaker 1: announced desk with a share in his hand, and you
- 1:21:01Speaker 1: see the WrestleMania sign behind him off in the distance.
- 1:21:05Speaker 1: So then Randy gets in the ring, he grabs the
- 1:21:07Speaker 1: WWE title and he sits down in a chair and
- 1:21:11Speaker 1: he's just holding the belt up against his waist as
- 1:21:14Speaker 1: he's sitting there, and they're going off the air, and
- 1:21:17Speaker 1: you just hear the fans chanting Randy, Randy, Randy, even
- 1:21:24Speaker 1: though he just tried to murder Cody Rhodes right the
- 1:21:27Speaker 1: Golden Boy, they are cheering for Randy Orton and chanting
- 1:21:32Speaker 1: his name as the show goes off the air. Now,
- 1:21:36Speaker 1: there were some booze when the initial turn happened and
- 1:21:40Speaker 1: he had Cody outside and he was bleeding and Orton
- 1:21:42Speaker 1: was attacking him and he shoved down, you know, jelly
- 1:21:44Speaker 1: roll like I don't want to make it selling. There
- 1:21:46Speaker 1: were no booze, and they were just like cheering wildly
- 1:21:50Speaker 1: for him the entire time. But they were cheering for
- 1:21:52Speaker 1: Randy Orton, and especially when the show went off the air,
- 1:21:55Speaker 1: they were chanting the man's name which you would think
- 1:21:58Speaker 1: is not the reaction that you would be going for
- 1:22:00Speaker 1: in a situation like this. That's going to be a
- 1:22:02Speaker 1: problem going forward. Now, that's going to be a problem.
- 1:22:06Speaker 1: And it just felt to me like this is twenty
- 1:22:08Speaker 1: twenty five all over again. You know where they did
- 1:22:11Speaker 1: the turn with John Cena before WrestleMania instead of waiting
- 1:22:14Speaker 1: until Mania, which in hindsight, would have been the better
- 1:22:17Speaker 1: thing to do. As great as that angle was an
- 1:22:18Speaker 1: elimination chamber, I think looking at what they did, it
- 1:22:23Speaker 1: would have been better to save the turn. It would
- 1:22:25Speaker 1: have been more impactful to save the turn if you
- 1:22:28Speaker 1: were going to turn Sena save it for WrestleMania. Instead,
- 1:22:33Speaker 1: he went into the match already as a heel. He
- 1:22:35Speaker 1: worked the match is a heel. Nobody wanted to see that.
- 1:22:38Speaker 1: And then we had that dog shit ending with Travis
- 1:22:40Speaker 1: Scott no Rock. So we got a belt shot in
- 1:22:43Speaker 1: a nut shot and he wins number seventeen. That will
- 1:22:46Speaker 1: forever be a stain on Triple h and his booking
- 1:22:49Speaker 1: of that WrestleMania last year. I don't care what anybody says.
- 1:22:53Speaker 1: They ruined number seventeen last year. Now, imagine if Sena
- 1:22:57Speaker 1: had gone into that match. One of my concerns about
- 1:23:01Speaker 1: even doing that match at all last year was they
- 1:23:03Speaker 1: were so alike. Cody is basically trying to be this
- 1:23:07Speaker 1: generation's version of John Cena, So you know, it could
- 1:23:11Speaker 1: be a very boring build up to wrestle Mania. If
- 1:23:14Speaker 1: you just have two baby faces like Sena and Cody
- 1:23:16Speaker 1: being nice to each other. They would have had to
- 1:23:18Speaker 1: come up with a way to build tension between them.
- 1:23:20Speaker 1: But again, how much better would it have been if
- 1:23:23Speaker 1: people really didn't see it coming and he's so desperate
- 1:23:27Speaker 1: to win seventeen he resorts to a nutshot or a
- 1:23:31Speaker 1: belt shot, and it's like, oh my god, not only
- 1:23:33Speaker 1: did he set the record, he turned fucking heel right
- 1:23:36Speaker 1: in the main event. And now I'm kind of looking
- 1:23:40Speaker 1: at this a year later and I'm like, I hope
- 1:23:41Speaker 1: I don't end up feeling the same way when this
- 1:23:43Speaker 1: WrestleMania is over, where it's like, shit, this would have
- 1:23:45Speaker 1: been so much better if they would have saved the
- 1:23:48Speaker 1: turn for Mania itself instead of maybe just doing a
- 1:23:51Speaker 1: title change. Right, If Randy goes in there and wins
- 1:23:54Speaker 1: the belt from him, I'll happily eat my words. If
- 1:23:58Speaker 1: WrestleMania goes off the air with them doing some sort
- 1:24:01Speaker 1: of double turn. I don't I mean, that's just I
- 1:24:03Speaker 1: don't even see how that would work. So, assuming that's
- 1:24:07Speaker 1: not the case, I think that was a mistake. We'll
- 1:24:11Speaker 1: see what Orton's explanation is for why he did what
- 1:24:13Speaker 1: he did. Cody was being very magnanimous and very respectful
- 1:24:18Speaker 1: of him and saying all the right things. You know,
- 1:24:21Speaker 1: when the bell rings, you go out there and you
- 1:24:23Speaker 1: be Randy Orton, you know, like I love you like
- 1:24:27Speaker 1: a brother, and I'm your boy, and I respect you
- 1:24:30Speaker 1: and all this stuff, and then Orton just decided to
- 1:24:34Speaker 1: fucking murder the guy. Now we need to know the why,
- 1:24:39Speaker 1: and what is this build now going to look like
- 1:24:41Speaker 1: between now and then is Cody Is Cody going to
- 1:24:44Speaker 1: forgive him for what he did? Is Cody going to
- 1:24:46Speaker 1: want to rip his head off? I would imagine Cody,
- 1:24:48Speaker 1: you'll have the same exact reaction he had to John
- 1:24:50Speaker 1: Cena last year, where he has all this like infinite
- 1:24:54Speaker 1: respect for this guy, right, but he was very angry
- 1:24:58Speaker 1: and they had, you know, officials come out to get
- 1:25:00Speaker 1: in between them so Cody wouldn't kill him. Only when
- 1:25:04Speaker 1: Cody finally won face to face with John c And and
- 1:25:06Speaker 1: he could have put his hands on him, he didn't,
- 1:25:09Speaker 1: So I don't know. I just don't want to go
- 1:25:11Speaker 1: through this shit again. Right. The build last year was
- 1:25:14Speaker 1: very underwhelming, and I just fear like, here we are
- 1:25:17Speaker 1: again and they haven't learned from those mistakes, and I
- 1:25:20Speaker 1: just don't want them to do the exact same thing
- 1:25:22Speaker 1: they did last year. But I'm watching this going okay.
- 1:25:26Speaker 1: I mean, I didn't expect them to do this angle tonight.
- 1:25:32Speaker 1: It kind of felt rushed in that regard. I just
- 1:25:35Speaker 1: hope that they didn't rush it for the sake of, Oh,
- 1:25:37Speaker 1: we got to get something going here, because the build
- 1:25:39Speaker 1: has been very underwhelming for this wrestlemedia. We got something
- 1:25:42Speaker 1: over here with Roman and punk on raw. We got
- 1:25:46Speaker 1: to do something big here on the SmackDown side. So
- 1:25:48Speaker 1: let's just do the turn now, right and get a
- 1:25:50Speaker 1: viral moment out of it. I really hope there's a
- 1:25:53Speaker 1: good plan for this. I really do, because Randy's going
- 1:25:57Speaker 1: to continue to get these kinds of reactions, and this
- 1:26:01Speaker 1: is in the lead up to the show. It would
- 1:26:02Speaker 1: have been one thing if he would have still been
- 1:26:03Speaker 1: a babyface, right, people still would have cheered for Randy Orton.
- 1:26:08Speaker 1: Cody would have gotten more split reactions, And now it's
- 1:26:12Speaker 1: just going to be very weird if he's coming out
- 1:26:13Speaker 1: there trying to play heel and people don't want to
- 1:26:15Speaker 1: boo him, Like, are we really going to go through
- 1:26:18Speaker 1: this again two years in a row. You know, that's
- 1:26:23Speaker 1: my only gripe with it. But obviously it was the
- 1:26:26Speaker 1: best thing on the entire show by a country mile.
- 1:26:28Speaker 1: Nothing else they did tonight even comes close. I literallyzed
- 1:26:32Speaker 1: sat around waiting the entire night for this fifteen minute
- 1:26:35Speaker 1: contract signing at the end of the show, and it
- 1:26:38Speaker 1: shouldn't be that way where it's like, I can't wait
- 1:26:41Speaker 1: for this fucking show to be over. I mean, this
- 1:26:45Speaker 1: was a tough show to sit through. Tonight. They just
- 1:26:49Speaker 1: seem to be getting worse. I don't understand it. It's
- 1:26:54Speaker 1: inexcusable with the talent they have and the resources that
- 1:26:58Speaker 1: they have at their disposal, and the creative minds that
- 1:27:01Speaker 1: they could have sitting in the room planning out their
- 1:27:02Speaker 1: biggest show with the fucking year to be putting on
- 1:27:05Speaker 1: television shows like the one that they gave us tonight,
- 1:27:09Speaker 1: or that raw show from a couple of weeks ago.
- 1:27:13Speaker 1: I mean, we're barely even three months into the year
- 1:27:16Speaker 1: and there've already been multiple candidates for worst show of
- 1:27:18Speaker 1: the year before we even get to WrestleMania. Are they
- 1:27:23Speaker 1: trying to set the expectations for this show so low
- 1:27:26Speaker 1: that when we get there they blow us away with
- 1:27:28Speaker 1: an amazing show? Right? Are they playing four D chests
- 1:27:31Speaker 1: like what's going on here? It's gonna take a lot
- 1:27:36Speaker 1: more than what we saw in that main event tonight
- 1:27:38Speaker 1: to save this show week after week if they think
- 1:27:41Speaker 1: they could just turn out one big angle at the
- 1:27:43Speaker 1: end of three hours. So the Twitter poll, what did
- 1:27:50Speaker 1: you think of SmackDown from Phoenix? Forty three percent thumbs
- 1:27:54Speaker 1: up and about fifty seven percent thumbs down. Yeah, I mean,
- 1:28:00Speaker 1: if it wasn't for that closing angle, those numbers would
- 1:28:02Speaker 1: be that gap would be a lot bigger than it is.
- 1:28:06Speaker 1: A lot of that forty three percent I'm telling you
- 1:28:08Speaker 1: right now was that closing segment. It's just unbelievable. And
- 1:28:15Speaker 1: they have the audacity to charge the kinds of ticket
- 1:28:18Speaker 1: prices they charge for these shows. Somehow the shows get
- 1:28:22Speaker 1: worse and the prices go up. I mean, if that
- 1:28:26Speaker 1: isn't a slap in the face. I don't know what is.
- 1:28:29Speaker 1: I really don't shout out to Joseph. Happy Friday to you, brother.
- 1:28:48Speaker 1: I wish SmackDown gave you a better show. Maybe road
- 1:28:58Speaker 1: Dog quit because he just couldn't stand his name being
- 1:29:00Speaker 1: attached to these shows. It's like, I can't I can't
- 1:29:04Speaker 1: take it no more. I gotta get out of here.
- 1:29:08Speaker 1: I'm tired of being blamed for this. Joseph. I'm a
- 1:29:17Speaker 1: Tony Montana guy. When it comes to al Pacino roles,
- 1:29:22Speaker 1: Tony Montana and de Niro for me, Godfather one or two,
- 1:29:32Speaker 1: I'll go, well, Godfather too. Cape Fear, Yeah, saw that
- 1:29:39Speaker 1: many years ago. He was very He was a very
- 1:29:43Speaker 1: disturbing character in that movie Goodfellas or Godfather Goodfellas, Goodfellas
- 1:29:52Speaker 1: or Casino Goodfellas. Did I know that Cape Fear movie
- 1:29:56Speaker 1: is a remake of No? I did not know that. Spielberg, Scorsese.
- 1:30:05Speaker 1: Why does WWE want Randy Orton to have the most
- 1:30:07Speaker 1: world title wins after John Cena? Who says they? Do
- 1:30:13Speaker 1: you say that as if it's a guarantee that Randy
- 1:30:15Speaker 1: Orton is going to break John Cena's record. I don't
- 1:30:17Speaker 1: think that's the case. At all, far from a guarantee.
- 1:30:23Speaker 1: Will you be going to see the new Robert Pattinson's
- 1:30:26Speaker 1: Zendaijah Move No, No, I will not, and the Michael
- 1:30:31Speaker 1: Jackson movie. No. I have about five or six movies
- 1:30:33Speaker 1: on my list of movies I'd like to see this year,
- 1:30:35Speaker 1: and neither one of those are on my list. I
- 1:30:40Speaker 1: was I a fan of The Godfather Three. No, Joseph,
- 1:30:44Speaker 1: I hope you have a great weekend. See I try
- 1:30:48Speaker 1: to give Joseph my answers in a snappy way. Some
- 1:30:51Speaker 1: of these some of these are so easy. I don't
- 1:30:53Speaker 1: even have to think about them. Death Sithe says, just
- 1:30:58Speaker 1: like Hulk Hogan, Roman Reigns has always been a heel.
- 1:31:00Speaker 1: Sometimes he likes the masquerade as a baby face. He
- 1:31:03Speaker 1: even poisoned Stephanie McMahon's drink. What what are you talking about?
- 1:31:22Speaker 1: Triple h poison Stephanie's drink paid off somebody too at
- 1:31:28Speaker 1: the bachelorette party? Right? We got big money? Is that?
- 1:31:35Speaker 1: Bossmo Jackson? I think it might be big money? Jackson.
- 1:31:41Speaker 1: Can you see Uncle Howdie getting a title run in
- 1:31:43Speaker 1: WWE outside of the tag team titles? No? Will Drew
- 1:31:49Speaker 1: show up on Raw next week? Well, now you got
- 1:31:51Speaker 1: your answer. He was already back before the show was
- 1:31:54Speaker 1: even over. Am I a fan of Jamaican food? Might
- 1:32:00Speaker 1: be if I ever had some? I've never eaten it before.
- 1:32:03Speaker 1: Your favorite Terminator movie? Terminator two Judgment Day, one of
- 1:32:08Speaker 1: the best movies ever made? Are you a fan of
- 1:32:10Speaker 1: the Vanity Project in NXT? I have not seen enough
- 1:32:14Speaker 1: of them to say one way or the other. Rhea
- 1:32:17Speaker 1: looks like she is Edward Scissorhans's sister. Well, she's a
- 1:32:24Speaker 1: lot sexier than Edward Scissorhands, that's for sure. Alistair Black
- 1:32:28Speaker 1: needs a change to Raw keep him away from Sammy.
- 1:32:32Speaker 1: If they move him to Raw, he will not be
- 1:32:34Speaker 1: doing anything much different than what they have him doing now.
- 1:32:38Speaker 1: It would just be a lateral move. Broley says Bedala
- 1:32:46Speaker 1: was the one who first reported Mariah May leaving AW
- 1:32:48Speaker 1: has been teasing Statlander potentially leaving AW suits first. I'm
- 1:32:54Speaker 1: hearing about it. I haven't heard anything else about it.
- 1:32:56Speaker 1: I don't know what her contract status is. If she
- 1:32:58Speaker 1: becomes available, I think wwe would be crazy not to
- 1:33:01Speaker 1: scoop her up. She would be a great addition to
- 1:33:07Speaker 1: that roster. What would her name be? Half these people,
- 1:33:11Speaker 1: they make them change their names. Half of them don't.
- 1:33:16Speaker 1: I'm pretty sure she would be one of the people
- 1:33:17Speaker 1: that would have to change her name. What would her
- 1:33:22Speaker 1: new name be? Dry Chicken says, I dare Jade car
- 1:33:28Speaker 1: Gill to bring a bag full of baby products send
- 1:33:31Speaker 1: a message to the RIA defenders by calling them the
- 1:33:33Speaker 1: RIA crybabies. Yeah, don't do that, Big Mo Jackson. I
- 1:33:47Speaker 1: love Drew McIntyre, but I hate his booking. It's not fair. Yeah,
- 1:33:51Speaker 1: I mean, look, you got your WWE title run. That's
- 1:33:54Speaker 1: about as good as you're gonna get. Chris O'Neill thoughts
- 1:34:03Speaker 1: on Ricky Sosa. Very talented young man, very excited to
- 1:34:09Speaker 1: see how high he can climb. I'm very impressed by
- 1:34:15Speaker 1: what I've seen. What was it the God? What did
- 1:34:21Speaker 1: I see him use the other day? Wasn't the Blue Thunderbomb?
- 1:34:23Speaker 1: It was like the Blue thunder Slam. I'm already a
- 1:34:27Speaker 1: fan venom Ktetsu with two bucks. I ever played Smash
- 1:34:34Speaker 1: TV or Total Carnage on arcade. I did not play
- 1:34:37Speaker 1: Smash TV. I did play Total Carnage, but not in
- 1:34:40Speaker 1: the arcade. I actually played it on MS DOS on
- 1:34:46Speaker 1: a computer. Very different experience. I'm sure than playing it
- 1:34:50Speaker 1: in the arcade. Josh Herman with a nine ninety nine. Hey, solo,
- 1:34:55Speaker 1: where do you like to sit for wrestling events? I've
- 1:34:58Speaker 1: only been to one and I sat on the floor
- 1:35:00Speaker 1: a few rows back. But I found out once people
- 1:35:03Speaker 1: stand up, it's hard to see the ring. Thanks for
- 1:35:07Speaker 1: the advice. Well, especially if they have signs. If they
- 1:35:10Speaker 1: stand up and they hold up their signs, that's a
- 1:35:14Speaker 1: double whammye I mean, where do I like to sit?
- 1:35:19Speaker 1: I like to sit in the front row if I could,
- 1:35:22Speaker 1: if I could afford it, which if I went to
- 1:35:24Speaker 1: a WWE show, I wouldn't. So if you're not in
- 1:35:28Speaker 1: the front row, my advice is even the first two rows.
- 1:35:32Speaker 1: You could be in the first two rows, that's great.
- 1:35:36Speaker 1: Anything past that, it's not even worth it being on
- 1:35:38Speaker 1: the floor. You want to be one level up. So
- 1:35:41Speaker 1: what is that section one hundred or something that to me,
- 1:35:43Speaker 1: that's the best place to be. You're still close, but
- 1:35:46Speaker 1: you're not so close that your view is going to
- 1:35:48Speaker 1: be obstructed. But it all comes down to your budget.
- 1:35:52Speaker 1: If we're talking to WWE show, brother, I mean, I
- 1:35:55Speaker 1: honestly don't think it's worth it to go to a
- 1:35:57Speaker 1: WWE show at these prices, I think it's for the
- 1:36:00Speaker 1: product that they are putting out right now. It is
- 1:36:03Speaker 1: insulting the prices that they are charging. This week's episode
- 1:36:07Speaker 1: is sponsored by WIS. We got to talk about Wis's
- 1:36:10Speaker 1: new Harmony editor. This thing makes it incredibly easy to
- 1:36:13Speaker 1: create a website from scratch, right down to the way
- 1:36:16Speaker 1: that you always pictured it in your head. It's insane.
- 1:36:19Speaker 1: I only wish this existed years ago and I created
- 1:36:22Speaker 1: my first website. Would have saved me a lot of grief.
- 1:36:25Speaker 1: It is the new way to create websites. You just
- 1:36:29Speaker 1: type in a prompt and you can get yourself set
- 1:36:31Speaker 1: up with a professional website in no time. And my
- 1:36:33Speaker 1: favorite part is the way that it allows you to
- 1:36:35Speaker 1: jump back and forth between AI and hands on editing
- 1:36:39Speaker 1: whenever you want, so you get the speed and efficiency
- 1:36:42Speaker 1: of AI and your own personal AI agent named Aria,
- 1:36:45Speaker 1: along with the precision of your own hands so you
- 1:36:48Speaker 1: stay in control of every little detail to help you
- 1:36:51Speaker 1: build your site and manage your business, whatever that may be.
- 1:36:55Speaker 1: It could be for your podcast like this one that
- 1:36:57Speaker 1: you're listening to right now, It could be a to
- 1:37:00Speaker 1: service anything, literally anything, and enjoy easy domain registration with
- 1:37:05Speaker 1: web hosting included. It's the new way to create websites.
- 1:37:10Speaker 1: Trust Wix with yours and see what they can do
- 1:37:12Speaker 1: for you. Visit wis dot com slash harmony. That's wix
- 1:37:17Speaker 1: dot com slash harmony. Broley Triple A should let talent
- 1:37:22Speaker 1: help write their build, just like Punk Roman, Orton Cody
- 1:37:26Speaker 1: are helping write their own build. Differences are night and day, yes,
- 1:37:31Speaker 1: but that would negate the need for a creative team.
- 1:37:34Speaker 1: They have people that they pay to do that sort
- 1:37:36Speaker 1: of thing. It's one thing to have the talent give input,
- 1:37:39Speaker 1: which I think is great, but also keep in mind
- 1:37:43Speaker 1: that not everybody, you know, not everybody is going to
- 1:37:45Speaker 1: put together something like Shawn Michaels and Chris Jericho did
- 1:37:48Speaker 1: when they put basically their whole few together in two
- 1:37:50Speaker 1: thousand and eight. Not everybody has such a creative mind
- 1:37:55Speaker 1: that that is a good idea. There are a lot
- 1:37:57Speaker 1: of wrestlers and talents out there who have terrible ideas,
- 1:38:01Speaker 1: and believe me, it could be a lot worse. So
- 1:38:04Speaker 1: you got to be careful when you say that. You
- 1:38:06Speaker 1: might have some guys that they got it up here,
- 1:38:08Speaker 1: they're very creative, and then you may have some where
- 1:38:10Speaker 1: it's like, Eh, yeah, that's not a good idea, let's
- 1:38:13Speaker 1: not do that. But I think you want to work
- 1:38:17Speaker 1: in concert with the creative team and give your input,
- 1:38:19Speaker 1: and I think you do want to give the talent
- 1:38:21Speaker 1: some flexibility to a point, you know, But you got
- 1:38:24Speaker 1: to understand it. They have people whose job it is
- 1:38:26Speaker 1: to come up with these ideas. They're just going to
- 1:38:28Speaker 1: outsource it to the talent, then what's the point of
- 1:38:30Speaker 1: having a creative team. Vibes and stuff. Cody fell forward again, Lesnar, Sena,
- 1:38:42Speaker 1: and Orton all turned on him. When will he learn
- 1:38:46Speaker 1: the ruthless aggression eraror can't be trusted? Well, I'll tell
- 1:38:54Speaker 1: you you would think that now would be a good
- 1:38:57Speaker 1: time to learn. If he did go, heal, he would
- 1:38:59Speaker 1: have good reason. He's been turned on too many times
- 1:39:02Speaker 1: by men. Let me rephrase that he's been turned on.
- 1:39:06Speaker 1: He's been turned on by too many men. Here, Okay,
- 1:39:09Speaker 1: you know what, forget this vibes and stuff. You know
- 1:39:11Speaker 1: what I mean? We have TF Addict eighty six with
- 1:39:16Speaker 1: a five dollars super chat Happy Friday the thirteenth solo.
- 1:39:20Speaker 1: What's your favorite kill scene from Part six? Jason Lives Undead?
- 1:39:27Speaker 1: Zombie Jason is the best. What do you think? Yeah,
- 1:39:32Speaker 1: he's pretty cool. He's pretty cool. My favorite kill scene
- 1:39:48Speaker 1: from part six I don't know. I think the sleeping
- 1:39:52Speaker 1: bag scene was from part seven, right, and then they
- 1:39:55Speaker 1: recreated it in Jason X. I don't know offhand. I
- 1:40:06Speaker 1: don't know. I remember how they brought him back to
- 1:40:10Speaker 1: life and Tommy went with his friend to go dig
- 1:40:13Speaker 1: him up. But from part six, I don't know. I
- 1:40:16Speaker 1: don't know that I have one from part six. It's
- 1:40:19Speaker 1: been a while since i've seen it. See all the
- 1:40:30Speaker 1: see all the rainbow emojis for Cody in the chat
- 1:40:35Speaker 1: Ah the r is that one? Okay? Yeah, okay, So
- 1:40:37Speaker 1: the r V kill isn't that one? I think I'll
- 1:40:39Speaker 1: go with that one with the face the face imprints
- 1:40:43Speaker 1: in the r V, it might be that one. Cody
- 1:40:52Speaker 1: is like Sting back in the day. He never learns.
- 1:40:57Speaker 1: Sting never learned his lesson when it came to the horse,
- 1:41:02Speaker 1: Eat Sleep, repeat, Eat, Sleep, Eat repeat. Thank you for
- 1:41:05Speaker 1: the dollar. Death Side says if Cody thought the rock
- 1:41:10Speaker 1: gave him problems, well, sick prick Randy Orton will give
- 1:41:13Speaker 1: him worse. Just ask the McMahon's Triple H Jeff Hardy
- 1:41:16Speaker 1: and Sean Spears. Will I be at h Og in Vegas? Yes,
- 1:41:25Speaker 1: I will. I will be there. I will be at
- 1:41:28Speaker 1: the Palms Casino Resorts, and then I will be in
- 1:41:32Speaker 1: Los Angeles two weeks later. I'll be at the Globe Theater.
- 1:41:39Speaker 1: We got Ragnarok no Oba the Bella Twins wrestling for
- 1:41:44Speaker 1: the titles next week, an eight month Wyatt's MFT feud
- 1:41:48Speaker 1: Alex Shelley suddenly caring about Johnny. This show sucks, Yes,
- 1:41:54Speaker 1: it does. SmackDown sucks. Do with a super chat. Cody
- 1:42:01Speaker 1: bleeds before every Mania Rock Sena and Orton. He's trying
- 1:42:09Speaker 1: to do his part. He's trying to put some heat
- 1:42:11Speaker 1: on this thing that sythe forgot to mention. Randy Orton
- 1:42:16Speaker 1: tried to set John Cena on fire at Bragging Rights.
- 1:42:19Speaker 1: Then he tried to blow him up all right with
- 1:42:22Speaker 1: the pyro that was in the Ironman match. Maybe Cody
- 1:42:25Speaker 1: shall watch out when he does his woe. During his entrance,
- 1:42:30Speaker 1: Basbeers says, have you seen the ovw incident? I have, Yes,
- 1:42:35Speaker 1: I'll talk about that on the sound of It's disgusting
- 1:42:40Speaker 1: that side. Can we get a segment with Brett Hart
- 1:42:42Speaker 1: and Drew McIntyre because Brett can lecture Drew about what
- 1:42:46Speaker 1: it truly means to be screwed. I don't think Brett
- 1:42:49Speaker 1: wants to have anything to do with this show. Hulkling
- 1:42:57Speaker 1: ninety three. Me and my bro laughed our asses off
- 1:43:00Speaker 1: for the recurring weekly segment. Sammy hates water bottles. They're
- 1:43:04Speaker 1: always conveniently there after he gets angry. Yeah, that's become
- 1:43:07Speaker 1: part of his stick now. The end of every interaction
- 1:43:11Speaker 1: with Cody in the back, it's always a water bottle
- 1:43:16Speaker 1: sitting nearby and he smacks it away. The sheltered kid,
- 1:43:26Speaker 1: Let's take a moment to appreciate you for doing God's
- 1:43:29Speaker 1: work by being our shield from awful shows. Five dollars
- 1:43:32Speaker 1: is not enough to show thanks, but it's all I got. Well, brother,
- 1:43:35Speaker 1: believe me, it's much appreciated. I appreciate you, Hulkling ninety three.
- 1:43:46Speaker 1: Since last week, I've predicted Meechin and Beefab to link
- 1:43:50Speaker 1: with Jade, mainly for Rhea to have bodies to lay
- 1:43:53Speaker 1: waste to during the build more so than anything. Yeah,
- 1:43:55Speaker 1: it could be Mechen as well. I'm just saying. In
- 1:43:57Speaker 1: that one segment she was talking to be fab not
- 1:44:02Speaker 1: mitchin Bace bears. We saw the carrion scarlet ripoff from
- 1:44:10Speaker 1: a mile away tuxedo with the conveniently timed Bremode. Thank you, brother,
- 1:44:21Speaker 1: you nailed that one. Death side. I've been staying sober
- 1:44:25Speaker 1: since your TNA Impact review two months ago, but these
- 1:44:28Speaker 1: shows are making it harder and harder not to give
- 1:44:30Speaker 1: in and fall off the wagon. Well, don't do that.
- 1:44:36Speaker 1: These shows are not worth it. You gotta stay the course.
- 1:44:47Speaker 1: Let me be the one to fall off the wagon.
- 1:44:50Speaker 1: I'm tempted myself. Cornell Bryant, I put a good word
- 1:44:56Speaker 1: in for you, by the way, the other day, Cornell,
- 1:44:59Speaker 1: it's like, yeah, ask me to Randy turned babyface Cody
- 1:45:02Speaker 1: will get booed. Yes, it's exactly basically bass Beer says,
- 1:45:10Speaker 1: do you think Darby Allen wakes up with back pain?
- 1:45:12Speaker 1: I think Darby Allen wakes up with all kinds of
- 1:45:14Speaker 1: pain because he has also said he's straight edged, so
- 1:45:18Speaker 1: he doesn't take pain pills or anything. There's no way
- 1:45:21Speaker 1: that you could put your body through the kind of
- 1:45:22Speaker 1: abuse that he does and not wake up in just
- 1:45:26Speaker 1: great pain. And you know what, that's hey, that's his
- 1:45:32Speaker 1: cross to bear. I mean, that's that's his choice. He's
- 1:45:36Speaker 1: not a stupid part wow. I mean he does stupid things,
- 1:45:40Speaker 1: but he's not dumb enough to know that that isn't
- 1:45:42Speaker 1: the consequence of what he does. So it's like, Okay,
- 1:45:44Speaker 1: we all make choices in life. You know, sometimes people
- 1:45:51Speaker 1: have to learn the hard way. Uh. Skip Bayless says
- 1:45:57Speaker 1: USA Canada WBC game was more fun than SmackDown. Oh,
- 1:46:01Speaker 1: I'm sure it was. I one hundred percent believe that.
- 1:46:11Speaker 1: I think on one of the channels I have access to,
- 1:46:14Speaker 1: there's a fucking test pattern. I think that's more entertaining
- 1:46:16Speaker 1: than SmackDown. I may watch that tonight. Shout out to Leo.
- 1:46:24Speaker 1: I'm trying to be positive. I'm not happy about Keana
- 1:46:27Speaker 1: taking the loss, but at least it wasn't a clean loss.
- 1:46:30Speaker 1: I will I will say I am frustrated. It seems
- 1:46:34Speaker 1: like she will not have a match of WrestleMania, and
- 1:46:36Speaker 1: it's frustrating after the great year that she has had
- 1:46:38Speaker 1: so far. I wouldn't say she's had a great if
- 1:46:42Speaker 1: you're going back to last year, I wouldn't say it's
- 1:46:43Speaker 1: been a great year. She had a great showing in
- 1:46:45Speaker 1: the elimination chamber, and I think that she's got I
- 1:46:51Speaker 1: think she's got a pretty high ceiling. But she's still
- 1:46:53Speaker 1: very very early into her run. So if she hasn't
- 1:46:57Speaker 1: have a match of WrestleMania this year, I don't look
- 1:47:00Speaker 1: at it as any great thing because they haven't really
- 1:47:05Speaker 1: focused on her too much, you know, And I think
- 1:47:07Speaker 1: as long as she's still attached to Julia that will
- 1:47:09Speaker 1: not be the case. But like by this time next
- 1:47:12Speaker 1: year at WrestleMania, she should be in a better spot.
- 1:47:16Speaker 1: I still think it's just very early for her. Like,
- 1:47:19Speaker 1: I wouldn't get too discouraged if she's not If she's
- 1:47:22Speaker 1: not in an actual match, she'll be nothing else. She'll
- 1:47:25Speaker 1: be in Julia's corner for her match. But in terms
- 1:47:28Speaker 1: of her not having a match herself, I wouldn't be
- 1:47:29Speaker 1: too discouraged by that. Mactub Who do you? Who do
- 1:47:38Speaker 1: you you more? Oh? I don't even know what you're
- 1:47:40Speaker 1: trying to say? Who do you you more? Overall? And
- 1:47:44Speaker 1: why I don't know what you're trying to say? Uh? Cool, bro,
- 1:47:55Speaker 1: I was at the show. Cody got booed so bad.
- 1:47:58Speaker 1: I'm shocked. I wouldn't say I'm shocked. I think that
- 1:48:05Speaker 1: it was probably to be expected putting him in there
- 1:48:07Speaker 1: with somebody like Randy who the fans love. Mac Tubbs says,
- 1:48:18Speaker 1: why is that Hogan in eighty seven seemed more well
- 1:48:21Speaker 1: known worldwide than Austin did in ninety eight, even though
- 1:48:24Speaker 1: Attitude era is considered the peak of WWE and Austin
- 1:48:29Speaker 1: was its face. It was the national expansion, and wrestling
- 1:48:33Speaker 1: was just more mainstream in a way that it wasn't
- 1:48:36Speaker 1: in the late nineties. You know, wrestling was very popular
- 1:48:40Speaker 1: in the late nineties, and it was mainstream to a degree,
- 1:48:44Speaker 1: but just not in the way that wrestling was or
- 1:48:47Speaker 1: in specifically WWE when it got hot in the late eighties.
- 1:48:50Speaker 1: Hogan really was the right guy in the right place
- 1:48:52Speaker 1: at the right time. Why do you think Triple H
- 1:49:00Speaker 1: has so many WrestleMania duds despite being a top star
- 1:49:04Speaker 1: who has afforded the best conditions to excel H Well,
- 1:49:11Speaker 1: I'll mean, look, there is a reason why Triple H
- 1:49:13Speaker 1: is not on my Mount Rushmore. I think Triple H
- 1:49:18Speaker 1: was very good. I think in some respects by some
- 1:49:21Speaker 1: people he's overrated. Not to say that he wasn't very
- 1:49:26Speaker 1: good and didn't have great matches. He did, but he
- 1:49:30Speaker 1: was never that guy. You know, he was not Rock,
- 1:49:33Speaker 1: he was not Austin, he was not that super charismatic,
- 1:49:38Speaker 1: you know, just great dynamic performer. There was just there
- 1:49:41Speaker 1: was an element there to him that was just missing,
- 1:49:45Speaker 1: you know that the real top top guys had that
- 1:49:48Speaker 1: he just didn't because he has he has had a
- 1:49:54Speaker 1: lot of duds of WrestleMania, you know, him and Jericho
- 1:49:59Speaker 1: in in the SkyDome. A lot of that had to
- 1:50:02Speaker 1: do with their match going on last after Rock Hogan.
- 1:50:05Speaker 1: No one was going to be able to follow that.
- 1:50:07Speaker 1: That was a terrible decision putting that match on in
- 1:50:10Speaker 1: the main event. I know why because it was for
- 1:50:12Speaker 1: the title, but that was a terrible decision. They would
- 1:50:15Speaker 1: have benefited greatly by going on earlier in the show.
- 1:50:21Speaker 1: But I also think that when Triple H initially came
- 1:50:23Speaker 1: back in OH two, he was all roided up and
- 1:50:26Speaker 1: he just wasn't the same performer that he was when
- 1:50:28Speaker 1: he left with the injury in two thousand and one.
- 1:50:30Speaker 1: I always say, like in Ring two thousand, Triple H
- 1:50:34Speaker 1: two thousand into two thousand and one, to me, that's
- 1:50:36Speaker 1: peak Triple H. That is like Triple H at his
- 1:50:40Speaker 1: physical peak as an in ring performer was during that
- 1:50:45Speaker 1: period when he came back, he was too big, He
- 1:50:48Speaker 1: put on too much muscle mass. It wasn't the same.
- 1:50:53Speaker 1: He just wasn't working the same. Maybe the speed there
- 1:50:56Speaker 1: were just there were certain elements to his style that
- 1:51:00Speaker 1: when he decided to just right up and put on
- 1:51:04Speaker 1: all that muscle mass, and I think that affected him too.
- 1:51:08Speaker 1: Retro Koh, I think Cody should have been the one
- 1:51:11Speaker 1: to turn. It would have been far more interesting. Okay, well,
- 1:51:15Speaker 1: then who ends up in his place? Randy Orton? Forty
- 1:51:20Speaker 1: seven year old Randy Orton? Really, who takes his place?
- 1:51:30Speaker 1: He turned Cody into a superheel. Who takes his place?
- 1:51:35Speaker 1: Who's that guy? Who's that guy doing all the appearances
- 1:51:38Speaker 1: on the side of the truck that you build, you
- 1:51:41Speaker 1: build the brand around, you build the company around. Who
- 1:51:43Speaker 1: is that? Give me an answer? Uh? Omg, it's Winky
- 1:51:54Speaker 1: Wi Whiz MZ and Dan Housen against Jelly Roll and
- 1:51:58Speaker 1: Blank Jericho WrestleMania. Bro forgive my awful Vince Russo booking
- 1:52:04Speaker 1: with how bad things are anything is possible? Is that
- 1:52:07Speaker 1: is pretty bad? If that was the goal, you nailed it. Kreflow,
- 1:52:13Speaker 1: rest in peace to the great Ernie anasts I'll never
- 1:52:15Speaker 1: forget when he said keep fucking that chicken on Channel five.
- 1:52:20Speaker 1: Ernie Anasts was a New York news icon. I remember
- 1:52:26Speaker 1: Ernie Anastas as the anchor on Channel seven Eyewitnesses, and
- 1:52:30Speaker 1: he was on multiple stations, but when I was younger,
- 1:52:34Speaker 1: he was the anchor, one of the anchors on eyewitness
- 1:52:37Speaker 1: news here. And to me, when I think of like
- 1:52:40Speaker 1: news anchor, I think of Ernie Anastas, and yeah, he
- 1:52:43Speaker 1: just passed away at eighty two the other day. Remember
- 1:52:47Speaker 1: Ernie Anastis and Roz Abrams, Bill b Tell and Slipper
- 1:52:53Speaker 1: House extra extra with a four ninety nine double Babyface
- 1:52:58Speaker 1: versus baby Face wrestle many the main events. Triple H
- 1:53:02Speaker 1: is still the top heel baby dragged my ass through
- 1:53:09Speaker 1: broken glass. These quote storylines, death scythe clarify. Roman poisoned
- 1:53:21Speaker 1: Stephanie's drink in twenty fourteen to get into a Battle Royal,
- 1:53:25Speaker 1: where the winner qualified for a ladder match for the
- 1:53:27Speaker 1: WWE title and money in the bet. What what are
- 1:53:34Speaker 1: you talking about? He poisoned her drink to get into
- 1:53:38Speaker 1: a match. I have no memory of this. Twenty fourteen
- 1:53:47Speaker 1: is the year where he first split away from the Shield,
- 1:53:52Speaker 1: he wrestled Randy Orton. Didn't he get that summer slim
- 1:53:55Speaker 1: in twenty fourteen? When did he poison Stephanie's drink? I
- 1:54:01Speaker 1: guess I've mentally blocked part of the Authority era out
- 1:54:05Speaker 1: of my mind. I have no memory of that whatsoever,
- 1:54:10Speaker 1: which is which is weird because I'm sure I talked
- 1:54:12Speaker 1: about it and reviewed it on the SoundOff. But I've
- 1:54:16Speaker 1: done a lot of these soundofs. I've done nine hundred
- 1:54:20Speaker 1: and fifty four of them, so forgive me if I
- 1:54:23Speaker 1: don't remember every detail. Bader Mohammad, we need Randy to
- 1:54:28Speaker 1: deliver an RKO to Brandy Rhoades. Also, do you think
- 1:54:32Speaker 1: he's winning at Mania to enhance the heel turn? I
- 1:54:35Speaker 1: think he should. I don't know if he will, but
- 1:54:38Speaker 1: I think he should also. I finished watching The Shield
- 1:54:44Speaker 1: a few months ago. That was a great crime slash
- 1:54:47Speaker 1: drama TV show. The Shield is one of my favorite,
- 1:54:50Speaker 1: like top three TV shows of all time. Fucking love
- 1:54:53Speaker 1: that show. I recommend it to anybody who has never
- 1:54:57Speaker 1: seen it, and I have yet to have one person
- 1:54:59Speaker 1: right me back and go, man, I wish you didn't
- 1:55:04Speaker 1: tell me to watch that show. Man, what a waste
- 1:55:06Speaker 1: of time, not once, not once, they all thank me
- 1:55:11Speaker 1: for it, Mays the Great Solo. Even if the shows
- 1:55:17Speaker 1: were great regularly, that still does not justify these prices.
- 1:55:21Speaker 1: And even if this was prime attitude area, it would
- 1:55:25Speaker 1: still be insane. Sure it would still be more tolerable
- 1:55:30Speaker 1: at least, but I don't disagree. Have I seen the
- 1:55:34Speaker 1: Wire I have. I didn't like it as much as
- 1:55:36Speaker 1: the Shield. A lot of sitting around in a car doing nothing. Luis,
- 1:55:50Speaker 1: I take back everything I said in the chat before
- 1:55:52Speaker 1: SmackDown about Randy Orton being in the position John Cena
- 1:55:56Speaker 1: was in for twenty plus years. Okay, I'm glad you
- 1:56:01Speaker 1: got that off your chest, Luise, Mystic Jay. No offense
- 1:56:05Speaker 1: to the man, But why is Jelly Roll always their
- 1:56:08Speaker 1: go to guy? They love their celebrities, he likes wrestling,
- 1:56:14Speaker 1: and so they're going to try to use him as
- 1:56:15Speaker 1: much as possible. If you just watch the show every week,
- 1:56:20Speaker 1: I mean, they spend plenty of time making sure that
- 1:56:25Speaker 1: you are aware of all of the celebrities that are
- 1:56:28Speaker 1: in the crowd, even if it's somebody that you have
- 1:56:31Speaker 1: never heard of before. They love showing them. Although they
- 1:56:36Speaker 1: did show Mark Kerr. He was in the crowd tonight
- 1:56:38Speaker 1: UFC Hall of Famer. He was the subject of the
- 1:56:42Speaker 1: movie The Smashing Machine. He was there. Who else was there? Oh?
- 1:56:46Speaker 1: Who's the girl that was there? She was holding that
- 1:56:50Speaker 1: replica WWE belt upside down the silver belt. Yeah, they
- 1:56:55Speaker 1: showed her in the crowd too, John Jay, am I
- 1:57:03Speaker 1: the only one that doesn't like ring announcer Mark nash Man.
- 1:57:06Speaker 1: I miss Samantha. Where would you rank her with Fink, Chimmel,
- 1:57:10Speaker 1: Roberts and Garcia. I think I might have her behind think. Honestly,
- 1:57:20Speaker 1: in terms of WWE, I would put her behind think,
- 1:57:27Speaker 1: which is crazy to say because it wasn't even something
- 1:57:29Speaker 1: that she ever aspired to do. It just she was
- 1:57:33Speaker 1: naturally great at it. She never wanted to be a
- 1:57:36Speaker 1: ring announcer, She never wanted to be an announcer of
- 1:57:39Speaker 1: any kind. And a mac tub think Heal Punk with
- 1:57:46Speaker 1: Evil Triple H would be a good idea. No, No,
- 1:57:52Speaker 1: I don't. I really don't have any desire to see
- 1:57:55Speaker 1: Triple H as a character on the show at this point.
- 1:57:57Speaker 1: And I just feel like if you did something like
- 1:57:59Speaker 1: Corporate n I'm just not a big I'm just not
- 1:58:05Speaker 1: a big fan of that. Somebody asked me about that recently.
- 1:58:08Speaker 1: It's basically what it would be. It would be corporate punk.
- 1:58:10Speaker 1: I'm like, eh, I'm not feeling it. Hank. What pay
- 1:58:19Speaker 1: per view do you recommend from the Vince Senior era?
- 1:58:23Speaker 1: They didn't have pay per views back then, so I
- 1:58:25Speaker 1: recommend none of them. But they did do a big
- 1:58:28Speaker 1: show at Shay Stadium in nineteen eighty that had one
- 1:58:32Speaker 1: of the earliest Hogan Andre matches. Not the earliest, but
- 1:58:37Speaker 1: one of the earliest Hogan Andre matches was on that show.
- 1:58:39Speaker 1: That was in nineteen eighty. I think that also had
- 1:58:42Speaker 1: Bruno and Zubisco. I believe in the main event, pay
- 1:58:47Speaker 1: per views did not become a thing until the mid eighties.
- 1:58:50Speaker 1: I think Vince Senior was dead by then. He had
- 1:58:56Speaker 1: closed circuit. Vanessa Hudgens, That's who it was. Well, we're
- 1:59:07Speaker 1: currently sitting at five hundred and seventy nine likes. I
- 1:59:11Speaker 1: believe the goal was four to sixty five. Yes, so
- 1:59:16Speaker 1: we did beat that goal. Corporate punk in corporate Orton,
- 1:59:25Speaker 1: Oh God, not that again. We already had corporate Orton.
- 1:59:29Speaker 1: We had Orton with the authority. No thank you once
- 1:59:33Speaker 1: was enough? Is it time? To be the booker it is.
- 1:59:42Speaker 1: In just a second here, I gotta get to retro
- 1:59:43Speaker 1: Koh though I admit I don't have an answer for
- 1:59:48Speaker 1: who takes Cody spot. Nobody can. But Cody just feels
- 1:59:52Speaker 1: like Rinse repeat for the past four WrestleManias seasons. I
- 1:59:56Speaker 1: don't disagree. He hasn't really evolved his his character in
- 2:00:01Speaker 1: any sort of meaningful way. Neither did Hogan for all
- 2:00:05Speaker 1: those years. But it was a while before people started
- 2:00:08Speaker 1: really booing Hogan. I mean, they really got a lot
- 2:00:10Speaker 1: out of him during that first run. Cody is not Hogan.
- 2:00:16Speaker 1: He doesn't have the charisma that Hogan had. Cody has charisma,
- 2:00:20Speaker 1: but it is a very different, more subtle charisma. Few
- 2:00:25Speaker 1: people had the charisma that Hogan had. There's a reason
- 2:00:27Speaker 1: why Hogan got over the way he did. Even though
- 2:00:29Speaker 1: he looked at a young age. He looked like a
- 2:00:34Speaker 1: I don't know, middle aged, middle aged, like washed up
- 2:00:39Speaker 1: muscle beach bodybuilder, with you know, the fucking ring around
- 2:00:43Speaker 1: his head. I think he came out of the womb
- 2:00:45Speaker 1: like that, didn't exactly have the coolest look, but he
- 2:00:49Speaker 1: made it work for him. Cody is not that. But
- 2:00:56Speaker 1: like I said, they don't have that obvious person to
- 2:00:59Speaker 1: step in and take his place, And so you got
- 2:01:00Speaker 1: to look at it from a business perspective. It doesn't
- 2:01:03Speaker 1: make any sense to turn him heel unless you have
- 2:01:05Speaker 1: that person who can just step right into his shoes.
- 2:01:09Speaker 1: Can't do that. Mactub. Do you think Savage is Rushmore
- 2:01:17Speaker 1: level or just below? I'd like to say that he's
- 2:01:20Speaker 1: on Rushmore, but I think he's probably just outside the ring.
- 2:01:26Speaker 1: Like if you have four on Mount Rushmore, I probably
- 2:01:28Speaker 1: have him at like five. I think he just misses
- 2:01:31Speaker 1: the mark for me. But if you told me that
- 2:01:34Speaker 1: he was on yours, I wouldn't disagree. Savage is one
- 2:01:38Speaker 1: of my all time favorites. Savage and Brett are my
- 2:01:40Speaker 1: two favorites of all time. To me, he was the
- 2:01:48Speaker 1: perfect pro wrestler in many ways. I mean he could work.
- 2:01:53Speaker 1: He could do it all really in the ring. I
- 2:01:54Speaker 1: mean he could work. He could sell, very entertaining, very charismatic,
- 2:02:00Speaker 1: great on promos, had that from the voice to everything else,
- 2:02:05Speaker 1: like you can believe like that that's him, That's who
- 2:02:09Speaker 1: he was, like he lived it, colorful outfits, he was great.
- 2:02:20Speaker 1: It's time to be the booker, ladies. You gentlemen, it
- 2:02:24Speaker 1: is now time to be the booker. Is La Knight
- 2:02:30Speaker 1: stuck in mid card for life? Yes? Yes, he is
- 2:02:37Speaker 1: just being honest with you. You don't want me to
- 2:02:40Speaker 1: lie to you, now, do you? I only tell the truth.
- 2:02:50Speaker 1: Savage is one of the rare few who covers every
- 2:02:53Speaker 1: area of being a great wrestler. Honestly, when I think
- 2:02:58Speaker 1: of that criterias, Savage and Kurt Angle come to mind.
- 2:03:04Speaker 1: They did everything well. They got what wrestling is, and
- 2:03:14Speaker 1: they excelled in every aspect of wrestling that you could
- 2:03:18Speaker 1: think of. Kurt Kurt was one of those guys who
- 2:03:25Speaker 1: he was a machine. He could wrestle obviously won a
- 2:03:28Speaker 1: fucking gold medal with a broken neck. He could be
- 2:03:31Speaker 1: the serious wrestling machine and he could also be the
- 2:03:34Speaker 1: biggest goof on the planet. I can't tell you how
- 2:03:36Speaker 1: many times I laughed out loud watching Kurt Angle segments
- 2:03:39Speaker 1: when he first debuted, like those first couple of years,
- 2:03:44Speaker 1: or even during the invasion stuff with Austin. You know,
- 2:03:48Speaker 1: they're just there's some guys that just they check every
- 2:03:52Speaker 1: single box that you could imagine. Randy Savage and Kurt
- 2:03:56Speaker 1: Angle are the top two when it comes to that
- 2:04:04Speaker 1: We have the Acclaimed former aw World Tag Team Champions
- 2:04:10Speaker 1: also coming to House of Glory next weekend. The Acclaimed
- 2:04:14Speaker 1: will be in action at SuperClash. Maybe we'll all Scissor together.
- 2:04:21Speaker 1: Wouldn't that be something? Scissor be solid Monster the Acclaimed
- 2:04:31Speaker 1: against men on a Mission Down says, I hope be
- 2:04:42Speaker 1: the booker is better than SmackDown. Well, we're not off
- 2:04:45Speaker 1: to a great start here. Women's be the booker. We
- 2:04:53Speaker 1: have Charlotte Flair, who's going to be wrestling for the
- 2:04:57Speaker 1: tag team titles this year. Hmm. Charlotte Flair's opponent is
- 2:05:07Speaker 1: who Alexa Bliss? Look at that I had the balls
- 2:05:18Speaker 1: to do a wwe wouldn't do a WrestleMania. I'm putting
- 2:05:21Speaker 1: them together in a one on one. No where's Bliss fan?
- 2:05:23Speaker 1: Bliss Fan's gonna love this. Charlotte Flair against Alexa Bliss.
- 2:05:30Speaker 1: There you go. See that should have been the WrestleMania match.
- 2:05:35Speaker 1: So be the booker knows. There you go, predicting the future.
- 2:05:50Speaker 1: All right, tiebreaker, no clean sweep tonight, but we gotta
- 2:05:54Speaker 1: get the tiebreaker. Big Eie former WWE champion Big Ee
- 2:06:05Speaker 1: Actually I think he's isn't he a Grand Slam or
- 2:06:10Speaker 1: Triple Crown. He's WWE champion, he was an intercontinental champion.
- 2:06:20Speaker 1: I believe tag team champion, Money in the bank winner, yeah,
- 2:06:39Speaker 1: big ee against the Undertaker Purple Glove Undertaker. This is
- 2:06:47Speaker 1: nineteen ninety four. Undertaker ninety four into ninety five. I
- 2:06:55Speaker 1: could tell just by the gloves. When did he stop
- 2:06:59Speaker 1: using the purple gloves. It was in ninety five, right,
- 2:07:01Speaker 1: because I don't remember him wearing them in ninety six. No,
- 2:07:06Speaker 1: maybe he was wearing them in ninety six though, because
- 2:07:08Speaker 1: he didn't go back to the gray until ninety seven
- 2:07:10Speaker 1: for that WrestleMania. Yeah, maybe he did wear them into
- 2:07:14Speaker 1: ninety six. I guess this could be. Actually, you know what,
- 2:07:18Speaker 1: I think I'm wrong. I think this is nineteen ninety six.
- 2:07:21Speaker 1: Now that I think about it, I believe this is
- 2:07:24Speaker 1: nineteen ninety six because it looks like I don't know.
- 2:07:27Speaker 1: It's funny how I could kind of look at a
- 2:07:28Speaker 1: photo and tell I think this might have been during
- 2:07:30Speaker 1: his Mankind feud. Yeah. Anyway, two out of three is
- 2:07:39Speaker 1: not bad. A nice little recovery there for be the Booker,
- 2:07:42Speaker 1: But we didn't hit the bonus goals, so unfortunately tonight
- 2:07:45Speaker 1: we only get the one round, but we will try
- 2:07:48Speaker 1: again on Sunday night because we have the aw Revolution
- 2:07:54Speaker 1: pay per view Texas Death for MJF. It's gonna get bloody,
- 2:07:59Speaker 1: it's going to get violent. Can't be an easy thing
- 2:08:03Speaker 1: to do when you have a match like this and
- 2:08:06Speaker 1: you have to wait until all those other matches all
- 2:08:10Speaker 1: the I mean, everyone's going out there trying to just
- 2:08:12Speaker 1: have a banger after banger after banger. They're just doing
- 2:08:17Speaker 1: everything right. They're throwing the kitchen sink out there, and
- 2:08:21Speaker 1: then it's like eleven thirty at night and you got
- 2:08:23Speaker 1: to go out there and have a Texas Deathmatch and
- 2:08:26Speaker 1: bleed all over the place. Can't be an easy thing
- 2:08:30Speaker 1: to do. My thoughts on WWE signing Nicki Blackheart what
- 2:08:40Speaker 1: I have seen of her, she's very impressive. I would say,
- 2:08:46Speaker 1: I hope they don't change her name, but I'm sure
- 2:08:48Speaker 1: they will. They had Shatzi black Heart and eventually they
- 2:08:52Speaker 1: just shortened it to Shatsi, So I don't know what
- 2:08:55Speaker 1: name they're gonna give her, but I don't know that
- 2:08:57Speaker 1: it'll be as cool as Nicki Blackhart. Yes, Revolution is
- 2:09:05Speaker 1: running opposite the Academy Awards on Sunday, and they're both
- 2:09:09Speaker 1: in Los Angeles too, they're the same city. But again,
- 2:09:13Speaker 1: Revolution it sounds like they've already exceeded eleven thousand tickets,
- 2:09:18Speaker 1: which is good. Their pay per views generally do sell well. No,
- 2:09:28Speaker 1: I don't think Biggie ever won the US title. I'm
- 2:09:30Speaker 1: pretty sure he won the ICY title. I don't think
- 2:09:32Speaker 1: he ever won the US title. I have ever seen
- 2:09:38Speaker 1: the Big Show movie Knucklehead. No, I heard of it,
- 2:09:46Speaker 1: I never watched it. I didn't see the Triple H
- 2:09:49Speaker 1: movie either where he's a bus driver or something. Right,
- 2:09:52Speaker 1: wasn't he like a bus driver? That looked terrible? I
- 2:09:56Speaker 1: didn't watch that either. I honestly think the only like
- 2:10:01Speaker 1: B level straight to DVD movies I saw from like
- 2:10:04Speaker 1: WWE people back then was a stone cold He did
- 2:10:07Speaker 1: a bunch of them Hard to Kill God. There were
- 2:10:12Speaker 1: so many of them. I watched like two or three
- 2:10:14Speaker 1: of them. They were cheesy as hell, but I enjoyed them. Actually,
- 2:10:17Speaker 1: you know what, I saw a really good movie last
- 2:10:19Speaker 1: night by One Night where I don't have to do
- 2:10:20Speaker 1: a show. And there was an Arnold Schwarzenegger movie that
- 2:10:26Speaker 1: came out in twenty thirteen called The Last stand actually
- 2:10:31Speaker 1: a very enjoyable movie. Had him in it. Johnny Knoxville
- 2:10:42Speaker 1: was in it. God, who was it? It was Schwarzenegger.
- 2:10:45Speaker 1: It was Johnny Knoxville. I forgot the other There's a
- 2:10:51Speaker 1: one more name in there. I think Louise Guzman is
- 2:10:54Speaker 1: in there too, but I forgot the name of the
- 2:10:56Speaker 1: other person. I enjoyed it. It was actually a very
- 2:10:58Speaker 1: I thought it was a very enjoyable movie. Oh what
- 2:11:01Speaker 1: Forrest Whittaker. Yeah, Forest Whitaker is in there. He played
- 2:11:08Speaker 1: an aging police chief in some little po dunk town somewhere.
- 2:11:18Speaker 1: A Rambo prequel is in the works. Gotta be awfully
- 2:11:25Speaker 1: hard to use Schwartzenegger for that one. I think The
- 2:11:32Speaker 1: Rundown was WWE's best movie. Was The Rundown of WWE film.
- 2:11:38Speaker 1: I guess it might it might have fallen under their
- 2:11:40Speaker 1: studio and that wasn't a bad one. Luis says, don't
- 2:11:48Speaker 1: call the Staples Center by that vomit inducing Nay, Oh
- 2:11:51Speaker 1: you mean the Crypto dot com arena? Is that the one?
- 2:12:00Speaker 1: You know? They were in Arizona today? Do we still
- 2:12:02Speaker 1: have the talking stick? Is that still a thing? Remember
- 2:12:04Speaker 1: the talking stick? I think that's like a resort in Casino.
- 2:12:14Speaker 1: Nothing is worse than guaranteed Rate Field. I guess they
- 2:12:20Speaker 1: call it the Rate. Is that what people in Chicago
- 2:12:23Speaker 1: call it? The Rate? What a terrible fucking name. They
- 2:12:31Speaker 1: already cast some young guy to play Rambo. Well you
- 2:12:33Speaker 1: kind of have to. You got no choice. You gotta
- 2:12:36Speaker 1: you gotta get somebody young to play Rambo in a prequel.
- 2:12:44Speaker 1: New Names thinks I want my staples? Say yes, I
- 2:12:46Speaker 1: want my old corporate name back. I want the old
- 2:12:51Speaker 1: corporate name to replace the new corporate name. It's just
- 2:12:59Speaker 1: Rate Field now. Really, somehow that's even worse Great Field,
- 2:13:13Speaker 1: It just gets worse. Braves play at Trust Park. No,
- 2:13:21Speaker 1: it's true, isn't it truest truest Park, not Trust Park.
- 2:13:28Speaker 1: The arena is now Mortgage Matchup Center. No more talking
- 2:13:33Speaker 1: stick Mortgage matchup Center. It's fucked up to make a
- 2:13:41Speaker 1: Rambo prequel, considering he was traumatized by war. Never should
- 2:13:45Speaker 1: have had sequels. What's the worst WWE movie? The SmackDown
- 2:13:54Speaker 1: that I just watched tonight. Remember they make movies, they
- 2:13:58Speaker 1: make movies. I miss the days when baseball fields were
- 2:14:07Speaker 1: just named after old, dead white guys. It was a
- 2:14:11Speaker 1: much simpler time back then, SmackDown was longer than most movies. Yes, sadly,
- 2:14:19Speaker 1: you're right. Actually, SmackDown is about the length of The Batman,
- 2:14:23Speaker 1: which I still haven't watched. I would have been better
- 2:14:25Speaker 1: off watching The Batman tonight and then going live and
- 2:14:27Speaker 1: doing a review. In the original cut of Rambo, he
- 2:14:38Speaker 1: deleted himself at the end. Is that true? I didn't
- 2:14:44Speaker 1: know that. What do you think Stone Cold Steve Austin
- 2:14:51Speaker 1: does on Monday Night? If he shows up, well, I mean,
- 2:14:59Speaker 1: I'm hope for an interaction with him in punk on
- 2:15:02Speaker 1: the show. But it's interesting. If he shows up, he's
- 2:15:04Speaker 1: going to be on a show that is going to
- 2:15:06Speaker 1: have brock Lesner and Roman Reigns like they're expecting some
- 2:15:10Speaker 1: of the big names back Tomorrow night or Tomorrow night,
- 2:15:13Speaker 1: Monday Night. I don't even know what day of the
- 2:15:15Speaker 1: week it is. Have I seen War of the World
- 2:15:21Speaker 1: with Ice Cube? I heard that was one of the
- 2:15:24Speaker 1: worst movies ever made. I find that very hard to
- 2:15:27Speaker 1: believe in a world where Battlefield Earth exists that it
- 2:15:33Speaker 1: would be worse than Battlefield Earth. But either it's worse
- 2:15:39Speaker 1: or almost as bad as Battlefield Earth. Is that true?
- 2:15:42Speaker 1: I stayed away from it. I didn't want to waste
- 2:15:44Speaker 1: my time with it. He won't be riding a four
- 2:15:51Speaker 1: wheeler now, he will not an Austin Danhausen segment. Yeah,
- 2:16:00Speaker 1: but then what happens if he curses Austin? Wow, the
- 2:16:08Speaker 1: Batman is second only to The Dark Night? Is that true?
- 2:16:15Speaker 1: I just wish it wasn't so damn long. Three hours.
- 2:16:24Speaker 1: It's like I remember seeing The Watchman and I'm like, God,
- 2:16:27Speaker 1: this movie it just never fucking ends, Like it's just
- 2:16:30Speaker 1: too long. And then apparently the director's cut was even longer.
- 2:16:38Speaker 1: Austin can't drink beer, so he puts a curse on Austin.
- 2:16:43Speaker 1: And then every time Austin tries to drink beer, he
- 2:16:45Speaker 1: gets Mantezuma's revenge. Now that would be a curse. If
- 2:16:54Speaker 1: he curses Austin, the beer will be flat. Do you
- 2:17:05Speaker 1: think Sinners wins for Best Picture? Well, look, it's hard
- 2:17:09Speaker 1: to say. I mean, I can't say that I've seen
- 2:17:11Speaker 1: all the nominees or anything, but I have seen Sinners
- 2:17:15Speaker 1: and I enjoyed it very much. Do I think Sinners
- 2:17:19Speaker 1: is the best movie of the year? Again, I haven't
- 2:17:22Speaker 1: seen all of the candidates. I find it hard to
- 2:17:25Speaker 1: believe it's the best movie of the year. I enjoyed it.
- 2:17:29Speaker 1: Though it should win some awards. I don't know what
- 2:17:32Speaker 1: it's up for. Michael says, I've seen all the movies
- 2:17:38Speaker 1: nominated for Best Pictures. Sinners should win. All right, that's fine.
- 2:17:45Speaker 1: I enjoyed it. Good soundtrack too. Have Austin spoke weed
- 2:17:54Speaker 1: instead of beer. They always go for the pretentious movies
- 2:18:01Speaker 1: that critics love but are boring as hell. Yeah, I
- 2:18:04Speaker 1: still feel like Mickey Rourke should have won for the wrestler.
- 2:18:10Speaker 1: Sean Penn win right for like Milk? Was that what happened?
- 2:18:17Speaker 1: Mickey Rourke should have won for the wrestler. I maintained
- 2:18:20Speaker 1: that old fashioned with makers. This man has style anyway,
- 2:18:34Speaker 1: good shit. We can go all night with this. But
- 2:18:38Speaker 1: imagine naming your movie Milk. Well, you know that's not
- 2:18:43Speaker 1: my favorite movie. I'm staying far away from that hit
- 2:18:49Speaker 1: that like button on your way out again. I will
- 2:18:52Speaker 1: see for sound of nine fifty five's and we drop
- 2:18:57Speaker 1: it on Sunday and then Sunday night for the Rebel review.
- 2:19:02Speaker 1: Cameron Spencer, coming in Hot four ninety nine, says, why
- 2:19:07Speaker 1: are you against doing Omas and oba at Mania? You'll
- 2:19:10Speaker 1: get on board. Eventually, No, I won't. It's adorable that
- 2:19:17Speaker 1: you think I will, but I won't. Watch the new
- 2:19:23Speaker 1: twenty eight years later movie Shure rename SmackDown that soon
- 2:19:28Speaker 1: I'm gonna be reviewing smack that I'll start out looking
- 2:19:31Speaker 1: like this, and then I'll come on the stream and
- 2:19:32Speaker 1: have like a big white beard. I'll look like Gandalf.
- 2:19:35Speaker 1: Fucking shows are so long. Anyway, I'll see you guys
- 2:19:40Speaker 1: back here live on Sunday nights. Take care,
