- 0:00Should Kaitlyn Clark leave the WNBA? I'm going to take a look at this.
- 0:04I've been intrigued by the WNBA for never until Kaitlyn Clark entered the league.
- 0:11She was a rock star in college.
- 0:15She came to the WNBA and just lit it up and has got nothing but hate from the
- 0:20league itself. But I want to take a look at this.
- 0:22All right. So there's a growing push for Kaitlyn Clark to leave the WNBA.
- 0:27This is from Yahoo Sports. there's following this
- 0:31was following tuesday night's altercation that happened
- 0:34you could see every if you see a clip on twitter
- 0:37it's always going to be of her getting the hell beat out
- 0:40of her and the refs just like looking the other way whatever okay i don't know
- 0:44if the the refs are in cahoots with just kind of getting her beat the heck up
- 0:49or what what's going on but it seems like they're good with it they're fine
- 0:54with it i mean it's a tough if it's a tough league to an extent you know, I guess.
- 0:59I honestly have never watched a WNBA game in my life.
- 1:04The only thing that draws me to it, but I love seeing the clips of Kaitlyn Clark, is because of her.
- 1:12There's nothing else in the league, and there hasn't been. I can't think of
- 1:15another thing in the league besides her that has ever been really interesting.
- 1:20All right, so Clark, the number one overall pick in the 2024 WNBA draft was
- 1:25involved in a bit of a brawl on Tuesday night during the third quarter of the
- 1:29Indiana Fever versus Connecticut Sunday game.
- 1:32I guess for Connecticut Sun, as you can see, I am not versed in this WNBA terminology.
- 1:39Clark was hit in the eye by J.C. Sheldon, her former Big Ten rival.
- 1:44Clark was then decked to the ground by Connecticut's Marina Mabry.
- 1:48The Fever was leading the game 54-45. At the time of the incident,
- 1:53they went on to win 87-71.
- 1:55This is the latest in the string of physical incidents that have involved Clark.
- 1:59While Clark might not be getting targeted in a dangerous sense,
- 2:03it's clear that the opposing players are being very physical with her.
- 2:07She just returned from a two-week injury.
- 2:10So I thought of last year that she had left the WNBA.
- 2:15I thought that was the thing. She left and she went to Europe or something.
- 2:18And now she's back. I must have missed that they wooed her back to come back into the league.
- 2:24But either way, what else could she do, though? What else could she do?
- 2:29Should she leave the WNBA?
- 2:30Where is she going to go? To Europe? To China? Who else?
- 2:35There's no better place than the good old USA to be doing anything.
- 2:40So why would you go anywhere else?
- 2:41So what's got to happen? Because she is the face of the league.
- 2:45She's the only thing that makes it interesting.
- 2:48But the league doesn't seem to care about her.
- 2:52Should she get an enforcer to come alongside of her?
- 2:55To protect her, to be a little, to be a goon out there?
- 2:58Because it seems every time she's getting beat the heck up, nobody comes to her side on her team.
- 3:03Nobody's like, we need to see Jalen Rose action. And who was that?
- 3:08Who was those guys that just came in, ran on the court and just are fighting
- 3:12because of these, when their guys are getting the heck beat out of them.
- 3:17We need to see that in the WNBA. I don't, maybe not. I'm very turned off from
- 3:20girls fighting, you know, boxing wise.
- 3:23So I think if she did have someone out there just kind of watching her back,
- 3:28I think the WNBA might be able to sit a little bit easier because her leaving
- 3:34the league, if she actually goes, where are the fans going to go?
- 3:38There's nowhere. I mean, she's the only thing that's making the league itself.
- 3:42So this is, says Clark, who was making less than $80,000 in WNBA salary,
- 3:48is earning millions more in endorsements. She was reportedly offered $5 million
- 3:52to play in Ice Cube's Big Three League, though she turned that down.
- 3:57They just need to name the league Kaitlyn Clark.
- 4:00They just need to change the WNBA. Why are we calling it the WNBA anyways? It's not the NBA.
- 4:05It's not the NBA. Just rename the league Kaitlyn Clark's League.
- 4:10Make that the face of it, you know, because I mean, by the time she left somewhere
- 4:14and tries to get something else up and running, I mean, you're only young for
- 4:19so long, you know, so she is, she's going to be, she's going to be in her prime for a while now.
- 4:24But I think the WNBA just needs to just change the league's name.
- 4:29It's, it's her, it's her world. The other girls are just living in it.
- 4:33And it seems like they are just jealous of her every step of the way.
- 4:36I don't know what it is because sometimes it feels like a racial thing,
- 4:40but it's not always a racial thing.
- 4:42You know, I think it's just other girls just want, they're jealous for what she is.
- 4:46And she's not like, she's not like starry or, you know, drama.
- 4:52She seems like so like plain in a lot of ways and just easygoing,
- 4:57not like flamboyant at all.
- 4:59Not like a hothead, not somebody that's just going to be a talker.
- 5:03She doesn't seem like a talker at all. I don't know if I've ever heard her speak.
- 5:06Really. I just, she, she lets her play speak for itself in a lot of ways,
- 5:11but I, it just seems like so many different venues she goes to.
- 5:16She, she's nothing but just hated and beat the heck up. So I think they need to change something.
- 5:21They need to change something. They need to change something because the way
- 5:24it's going, you ain't going to keep her that much longer, but where's she going to go?
- 5:29Change the name of the league to Caitlin Clark. She is the face.
- 5:32She's the only thing that's making it interesting.
- 5:34The other girls just need to kind of recognize who she is. Stop being so jealous.
- 5:40Stop, stop hating so much. Don't be a Caitlin Hayton.
- 5:43All right. All right. We'll leave it at that. If you've enjoyed this video,
- 5:46hit this link and I'll see you on the other side.
