- 0:45Welcome back to the boundary Corner podcast.
- 0:48I'm Curtis Wilson. I'm Brian Sigler.
- 0:51How you doing tonight, buddy? Doing good, man, the 49ers
- 0:55didn't play today so that had absolutely zero stressors
- 1:00throughout the day. Yeah, fantasy team.
- 1:05If I should well, you should go look at the league and see how
- 1:08many IRS or P UPS or no games this week that are on my bench
- 1:13and I still broke 100. With guys like Tim Patrick,
- 1:19Robbie Anderson and dmytryk Felton, Robbie Anderson saved
- 1:25your day on that last Drive touchdown catch.
- 1:29Patrick had a touchdown to so I'm probably not going to win,
- 1:34but the boys were given some effort out there.
- 1:37Little golf clap for your effort.
- 1:42Well, I'm I'm watching my Braves.
- 1:44Try to put the Dodgers in, 2002 whole.
- 1:48Yeah, I got to look at my Colts. Finally, get back on track
- 1:53against the Texans today. I myself have been under the
- 1:57weather today but I'm here tonight.
- 2:00We're going to get this done. It's going to be, it's not going
- 2:03to be fun, but it's going to be, I think, Us Airy.
- 2:08And I think we're going to talk about some things that really
- 2:12need to be said and kind of push forward.
- 2:15I think on where we need to go, we're not going to talk a lot of
- 2:19specifics about the game just because I think everyone kind of
- 2:24has rehashed that enough in the last couple days.
- 2:27We're going to get talk a little high level about what we saw and
- 2:30what we thought. But most of this is going to be
- 2:33a temperature, check in this era of hokey football and it's it's
- 2:41it. We're going to, we're going to
- 2:42have a A little later. After we discuss the game four
- 2:46from the post game and then there's an arc there and their
- 2:50points were going to hit all along.
- 2:52And but before we get into the getting upset news, we did gain
- 2:58a commitment over the last week right here, from the 804 right
- 3:04here, down in Chester the five and one Thomas Dale, team
- 3:10Malachi Madison 63 3310, I do not think it least.
- 3:16The weight part is incorrect, seeing some of his videos.
- 3:19I think he's ever been of a 300-pound kid.
- 3:23He's a three-star guy and, you know, two guys that we'll talk
- 3:29about later with Ryan Smith and JC price, where his primary and
- 3:34secondary recruiters, what are you seeing from this big guy
- 3:38from those highlight tape run? He's a guy that Already built
- 3:43exactly what you want for this type of system that can still
- 3:46he's got, he's got a motor inside the tackles there, he can
- 3:49move, he'll get after you. Like I said, the thing I like
- 3:54the most is that he's coming in size, ready?
- 3:57Ready to go. Probably even a little better
- 4:00shape than even when when fuga came in at a similar size.
- 4:03So I think he's a guy that probably could push for some
- 4:06rotational snaps here one and you know by year, 2 2 & 3 is
- 4:12going To be making a significant impact for the defense.
- 4:18Awesome. To hear that.
- 4:19And again, another Virginia kid and Kylie, I'm looking here now.
- 4:24One, two, three. 45. Six, seven, eight, nine, nine of
- 4:39the 23 commits. We have our in-state guys.
- 4:42Obviously, a couple of the top 10.
- 4:44And as much as we've lauded, and we're going to absolutely rip
- 4:48some things apart tonight. You know, I really think thanks
- 4:52to Justin Hamilton JC price, Ryan Smith, Adam Lichtenberg
- 4:58we're still 19th in the country. And I think, if you look at the
- 5:02Arc of the players left, I don't think we're falling out of the
- 5:05top, 30 in less when things happen.
- 5:08Like we probably are assuming they happen at the end of the
- 5:11season unless there's some guys that completely jump.
- 5:13All ship. I think we're going to have a
- 5:17top 30 class and that's good for who hopefully the new regime.
- 5:23Yep. And we're going to be talking
- 5:25about that in a little bit. Yeah, let's start by talking a
- 5:29little bit about the game itself.
- 5:31Whoo, What can we say? Bleeping pissed.
- 5:36I literally put on shows on. This is my notebook folks will
- 5:41show you the inside contents of it.
- 5:43Literally after the first half, I said the season is over.
- 5:48Bleep. This.
- 5:51That's how mad I was. I went out.
- 5:53Talk to my wife, we decided what we were getting for dinner.
- 5:56Made our kids, some dinner here at the house.
- 6:00My mom was gone. You called me for a vent
- 6:03session, only get dinner, I did me and Ron had a session in the
- 6:13rest of the night. I watched a little bit of the
- 6:16other gangs hung out with my wife, you know, about you.
- 6:21After that first half. Yeah, I mean we ended up kind of
- 6:26settling in decided we want to do for dinner, grab dinner, I
- 6:30ended up throwing the game on the iPad and we watched
- 6:34Halloweentown with with my son. So that's how hard I went all.
- 6:40Sometimes, what's going around? Let's let's let's hit the
- 6:43defense first in something that you driving to the restaurant.
- 6:48I thought you told me, it's like if you told me we take away
- 6:51certain plays in. Did you say Saw we're going to
- 6:55be in this game. Yep and we did a good job of
- 6:59kind of taking away what pit like to do.
- 7:02We actually did a pretty good job of kind of stopping a lot of
- 7:06the over the middle stuff that they like to do and some of the
- 7:11routes that Mac it had a lot of success with there wasn't a ton
- 7:15of those and more or less kept their receivers from completely
- 7:21dominating the game. That was a shocker.
- 7:26I didn't I didn't think for four quarters that we would have been
- 7:28able to do that. I know game Flow, they kind of
- 7:31went away from the past good about in the second half.
- 7:35They didn't need it after that. Fret that opening drive
- 7:38touchdown in the second half. They didn't really need to swing
- 7:43the ball around much anymore, but I thought we did a good job
- 7:46overall where I thought we struggled was setting the edge
- 7:51in the Run game. We did a good job.
- 7:53They were running up between the tackles, we did a pretty bad job
- 7:57when they were bouncing it outside and making sure that
- 8:00those you know, PR gains didn't turn into first downs to off and
- 8:05they were either 8-yard gains first down runs.
- 8:08Yeah. Yeah, nothing.
- 8:12Nothing gassing. But bad enough, where you're
- 8:17keeping your defense on the field longer than you like, how
- 8:20much does that go into Bronwen knowing the type of passing a
- 8:23Attack that they have. How much is it?
- 8:26Where how much is it easier for an offensive lineman to set the
- 8:29edge? When you know they feel like
- 8:32we're still passing because it one point it was 21-7 right?
- 8:37Yep was 21-7 the game was not put away 21-7.
- 8:43Excuse me? No 28-7.
- 8:46They got their touchdown on the opening drive of the second
- 8:48half. But how easy it was it to run
- 8:52when you know you're playing a passing team and it's like well
- 8:58they're going to be coming up field.
- 8:59How much easier is that for an offensive line?
- 9:05It really depends because you still want to stop the
- 9:07penetration, but they did a good job in their kind of outside
- 9:11zone game. Kind of funneling us where we
- 9:14needed to would then, again, the edge was solved.
- 9:17And I think some of that was by Design just because we were
- 9:20trying to stop some of the stuff, the, the passing game in
- 9:24the middle of the field, and I think those responsibilities
- 9:27ended up going by the wayside a little bit.
- 9:32And you know, there wasn't there was a couple times where we were
- 9:35there and we just took a bad angle and there was a couple
- 9:37times where we were there and we just didn't keep keep that
- 9:41outside leverage the way we needed to and you know they got
- 9:46a running back that while not you know necessarily a game
- 9:49changer has good speed and he was able to get to the edge a
- 9:52lot and impact the running game that way.
- 9:55Like I said, he didn't do anything that was hurting us in
- 9:59terms of big plays but it was just a gash here.
- 10:01Gasps there that kept him on the field and that really kind of
- 10:04played a role in the first half, they be open to extend drives
- 10:08especially as they closed out the the first half there and
- 10:12then it impacted Us in the second half where we couldn't
- 10:15get them off the field especially on that one.
- 10:17Big drive to that really close out the game.
- 10:20Exactly. The one in the second half that
- 10:23are in the fourth quarter that literally laughs I like 10
- 10:26minutes, you know, 28 if you would have told us the defense
- 10:30held's to 28, I think me and you probably sit here on Wednesday
- 10:34night and say then we might actually win the game me and you
- 10:39pegged it, you know, we roughly pegged it that we would be
- 10:46riding the mid-20s. They'd be in the 30s.
- 10:49I do think. If the game Flow had been true,
- 10:52we had been more competitive offensively.
- 10:53What you're going to turn to in a second here?
- 10:55I think they probably get to 35, maybe 38.
- 10:59Yeah, just because I mean they, they were definitely Able to sit
- 11:02on their lead in the most of the second half.
- 11:04So he just shocking for nor doozy because it seems like he's
- 11:08always loved to run the score up on it.
- 11:11But I think you made this note in here Brian and it sums it up.
- 11:15Perfectly the defense did everything possible to keep us
- 11:19in this game. If we saw how that game Flow
- 11:24when in the first half, It would not have shocked me if it has
- 11:28been 35 nothing. Yeah.
- 11:31Yeah, the defense was able to get off the field on a couple
- 11:34good three and outs. They were able to get them off
- 11:37the field early in a drive, a couple other times, gave the
- 11:44offense, a bunch of opportunities especially early
- 11:47in the game with some shorter fields, and just did nothing to
- 11:50capitalize on it. All right, so let's flip to the
- 11:52offense because I'm going to piggyback off that from going to
- 11:55the defense. That first drive, we kick it to
- 11:58them. We three-and-out them.
- 12:01We send a, we almost get to the punt.
- 12:04Their punter, short legs, it. We get it at the 50.
- 12:08They let you sit here in your, like, if you had asked me in
- 12:12opening set of four plays against that offense, like it's
- 12:17perfect. Stop them, almost blocked.
- 12:20It got a great field. What the offense did was
- 12:24literally just ugly. They piss down their leg all the
- 12:29way. It was.
- 12:31It looked plain. It looked Bland and you know,
- 12:36Brian. You put on here and you kind of
- 12:38mentioned it last night. There's no sense of urgency is
- 12:40just like, oh yeah, let's run these plays.
- 12:43That everybody knows we run. I mean they knew how we were
- 12:49going to attack them and they invited in a lot of ways, right
- 12:52with that Pressman. Yeah and we you know, we went
- 12:58there and the problem wasn't necessarily that the opening
- 13:03drive was bad in terms with the sequencing but as the game went
- 13:08along especially in the first half, we showed zero Plan B.
- 13:13When those kind of shots down the field work and Acting, we
- 13:17didn't have a counter punch. There was nothing.
- 13:20Nothing that the offense was doing nothing that the play
- 13:24caller was doing to change what was happening on the field.
- 13:28It was essentially, these shots are going to work or we're not
- 13:31moving the football and we didn't to the tune of what 61
- 13:36yards in the first half. Total offense?
- 13:40Yeah, it was it was it was one of the worst first halves of
- 13:43offense I've ever watched. And I've watched a bunch of
- 13:48bronstein spring called games and that one I was pulling my
- 13:53hair out and then it got to a point where it was so bad.
- 13:58The first half, like I was I reached full on apathy by the
- 14:02second half, I was like, all right, whatever it is game is
- 14:06what it is at this point and that's sad because I mean the
- 14:10fans saw it to, we saw, you know, we're pretty much a half
- 14:12empty Lane stadium. That started the second half.
- 14:15Yeah. Yeah, most of the student
- 14:17section was gone. A third of the the other stands
- 14:22were empty. It was it was a very sad
- 14:24situation and it's sad that we're that we're getting to
- 14:28this. And, you know, let's go ahead
- 14:30and talk about the last piece of the offense that I think that we
- 14:34have not had success in this year and it was evident again
- 14:38against Pitt. We did an awful job of
- 14:41establishing the line of scrimmage as an offense.
- 14:44I'm not sure. I mean, we obviously know that
- 14:48the talents of Christian Darris all we knew that that Doug
- 14:52Nestor was a solid starter. I did not anticipate this degree
- 14:58of drop-off in the offensive line and it's not just, it's not
- 15:03just the Khalil Herbert has amazing vision and timing and
- 15:09the ability to break the big play.
- 15:11That's definitely a factor. But they're not getting any
- 15:17movement at all. There's no movement the sneak
- 15:21with forth and like inches where you normally see because you
- 15:25know, the snap count, right? Brian.
- 15:27We're going to be able to at least get the get a slight push.
- 15:31They got outside. I'll tell you what it is and I
- 15:34looked at it. I know you know, French I know
- 15:38French talked about it too but Brock snaps.
- 15:43Under Center the same way. He snaps and shotgun.
- 15:49What does that mean? So, he drops his ass too much
- 15:54meaning that he's rocking back in his stance, which when you're
- 15:58running in shotgun, and you're probably running outside zone or
- 16:01inside zone or something where you're doing a reach step or
- 16:05Zone step, or you know, some some sort of Either lateral or
- 16:13potentially even giving ground on your step to get an angle on
- 16:18a Defender. Okay.
- 16:21When you're under Center you're trying to drive off in short
- 16:24yardage, that's a completely different mindset and it may
- 16:30just looks like they haven't read that enough where they
- 16:34coached him to change. How he goes about the business
- 16:39in that scenario. Okay, thank you.
- 16:43I'm now visualizing that and kind of thinking and thinking
- 16:47about what in a Zone scheme would an offensive Center is
- 16:51having to do, so that does make sense.
- 16:54So why this brand or not? This, if he's not good at that,
- 17:00why not on fourth and one? Aren't you just You know,
- 17:04running something like an inside Zone where at least it's not
- 17:08counterproductive to what he's doing, like listen put in Jalen
- 17:11Holston, you know lineup, you know, Gallo in the backfield is
- 17:17an HVAC and let's just choose a hole and run it down hill under
- 17:21Center. Yeah, and that's a problem
- 17:24because what's happening is that Brock has no forward drive
- 17:31because because of the snap, So therefore you're literally
- 17:35relying on essentially Brock's raw strength and Braxton riding
- 17:40behind him. Plus whatever.
- 17:43Let's see. Des or Caden.
- 17:44More were able to get push to get that first down.
- 17:50I like the fact that we're going under Center.
- 17:52That's us, that's a smart move but if you're not going to coach
- 17:54them up to the point where they can execute it, then it doesn't
- 18:00really matter. It doesn't It's kind of like
- 18:06saying we're going to be a vertical passing team, okay?
- 18:09Our quarterback can throw the ball 30 yards and don't think a
- 18:12vertical attack is going to be exactly what we should do in
- 18:16these cases. Yeah.
- 18:17And we said we had to take some shots against this defense
- 18:19because you have to because they invited they are not going to
- 18:22get a ton of other real estate of in other places on that
- 18:27defense. But what you can't do is that in
- 18:30a windy environment with a quarterback that doesn't have
- 18:33the strongest arm in the world. Just take shots for 30 minutes.
- 18:39Know that again, no adjustment, no adjustment to anything on the
- 18:44offensive side of the ball throughout the game.
- 18:47They invited it. Yes, you're having struggles.
- 18:50There's when practicing is banged up and you really didn't
- 18:54see much of a change in that goes into probably a lot of the
- 18:58stuff we're about to get into, Braun.
- 19:01Anything else on the game before.
- 19:03This segment. No, I'm good.
- 19:05But all right, but we get into the main topic, The Arc of this
- 19:10current head coach. We are going to take a quick
- 19:13pause for a message for from our digital partners.
- 19:19As we take a quick break, we'd like to tell you about getting
- 19:22your free website report from our digital partner, Grassroots,
- 19:24digital marketing Studio. They'll tell you how your
- 19:27website ranks on Google on-site, SEO and social media.
- 19:31No commitment to buy anything. You can get your free report by
- 19:34visiting. Grassroots digital studio.com
- 19:37forward slash free Dash website, Dash report.
- 19:41Now back to the episode All right.
- 19:45So while driving back from the restaurant last night, I got to
- 19:50hear some of the postgame into a reading on that.
- 19:56Yeah. Yeah.
- 19:57That's what absolutely. Yeah, through about to soar
- 19:59about to talk about and this is what I caught and then it just
- 20:06reading it and thinking about it overnight.
- 20:08And when I woke up this morning, it made me think about let's get
- 20:10into this art because what he said was It's my responsibility.
- 20:15It's my job to get us to play as good as we can play to whatever
- 20:19level that is. It's my respond, he accepted the
- 20:21responsibility. That essentially he screwed up
- 20:24and my thing is this, it's true. It's absolutely true.
- 20:28That being a head coach. It is game day.
- 20:31Preparation is 100% responsibility to head coach,
- 20:37but it's not the only responsibility of the head
- 20:39coach. Yep.
- 20:41And as for us, I think the way we feel Are where we are because
- 20:46of not just gained a preparation, but essentially
- 20:49multiple aspects of it of this coach Stan, and what?
- 20:55It's all the things that are leading into the product on Game
- 20:58Day, right? It's not just getting I'm not
- 21:01getting the guys ready week to week.
- 21:04It's everything that's leading into that and I'll let you, I'll
- 21:07let you roll with the first point here.
- 21:09Well, the first point, I'm going to make is this before we gonna
- 21:12do the first point. This podcast at various dates
- 21:17and November of twenty twenty said, the man should be fired.
- 21:20Yep, the man should have been fired.
- 21:24My tea leaves and everything that was going on.
- 21:26It looks like that was going to happen and then we beat UVA in
- 21:3115 games and somebody pulled the plug on.
- 21:34I don't know who it was. And maybe one day we'll find out
- 21:40but the first thing Brian and it's the big Bugaboo its
- 21:44recruiting. And and now stories have started
- 21:48coming out and things are being known.
- 21:52And the first point I hit here, Is you start hearing from
- 21:55certain coaches, the Andy bitter article and we'd heard this
- 21:59through the grapevine through other people, saying that
- 22:02basically our head coach does not consistently communicate
- 22:08with top prospects. At least not to the degree that
- 22:13other quality staffs are doing and even some in the state.
- 22:17Especially, I mean, it's not like, more or less that we cure
- 22:22need o to you. In particular, is is doing a
- 22:25pretty bang-up job with communicating pretty much with
- 22:30with 804 757 and Nova there, they were hit or miss with some
- 22:35of the other coaches that were a part of that article, but that
- 22:40makes sense. I mean, there's, you know, they
- 22:42don't need to, they need to focus on the areas where they
- 22:45can get kids to come in, they don't need to cast that wide net
- 22:48necessarily in the state. Unless there's guys that are
- 22:52kind of falling through the cracks for some of the other
- 22:54power 5 schools. Absolutely.
- 22:57But because I say in, you know, What this leads to though is
- 23:03your underlings, your assistant head coach has potentially
- 23:07taking lead in, not doing things similar because for a top
- 23:13prospect. If the head coach is calling
- 23:15twice a week and I'm the o.c. or I'm the primary or the secondary
- 23:21Cooter, I better be calling four to five times a week, but this
- 23:25is the classic lead, by example, situation being what it is.
- 23:28You damn, right. It is so if he's calling once or
- 23:30twice a month, And I'll call once a week and there you go.
- 23:35You start slipping, you start losing building the
- 23:37relationship, so there's that. All right, let's go with this
- 23:40because this is, we know this happen.
- 23:43The mistakes that were made with the in-state relationships and
- 23:47now the subsequent attempts to repair the in-state
- 23:50relationships. Yep.
- 23:52That was known a few years ago. And the issue though, is, if you
- 23:58come in and get those relationships, well, off the
- 24:01bat, you're potentially starting to get those kids.
- 24:06You don't have to repair. Yep.
- 24:08End, and some people said, yeah, but it's being repaired.
- 24:12That's a good thing. Yeah, it's a good thing that the
- 24:15amount of energy now you're having to take to repair those
- 24:20relationships and now you're having to, you know, we always
- 24:24we will back to jepara Parker, right?
- 24:27If we had taken some walk on preferred walk-on or taking some
- 24:31kid out of Highland Springs, Thomas Dale Oscar Smith five
- 24:37years ago, six years ago, when this man first got here, You
- 24:42would consistently have your shots at those two four-star
- 24:45kids out of Highland Springs. That went to Oklahoma.
- 24:48Yep. and I think that's the problem is that, you know, it
- 24:56shouldn't have happened to begin with the, the bridge is
- 24:58shouldn't have been burnt and it wasn't just, it was a
- 25:01combination of two things, right?
- 25:02It was what's, what was perceived as deliberate snubs of
- 25:08certain prospects and then it was just a general lack of
- 25:10attention to the high schools in general.
- 25:15And the combination of those two things soured a lot of prospects
- 25:20on staying home and that, you know, that in and of itself
- 25:27probably wouldn't have been a big deal.
- 25:28But while all of this was happening, obviously, Penn State
- 25:33starts creeping down into Virginia, North Carolina, Matt
- 25:36comes back starts, getting up into Virginia Clemson.
- 25:41Alabama or fish you stay. Reaching into Virginia, you've
- 25:48got those guys were stepping up their game.
- 25:53At the same time we were pretty much, you know, taking a pass on
- 25:59the majority of the state at least in the way that we should
- 26:01have been hitting it. Exactly the way we should have
- 26:04been hitting it. In the way we should have been
- 26:06hitting it, is, are you going to be able to get every five star
- 26:10kid? No, because, right now, the way
- 26:13the state's leaned as people want to leave and that's but
- 26:17what it does if you're getting a pwo or you are you know, the two
- 26:23star kid who Is an okay player offering him?
- 26:30Well, it helps you build that relationship with the Lauren
- 26:33Johnson's with Chris down at Oscar Smith, with all the
- 26:38coaches because you said you were going to football player to
- 26:40be on scholarship, more and give them a chance.
- 26:43And it's a, it's a heck of a lot easier to walk into someone's
- 26:47office and their kid who maybe had two or three FCS offers and
- 26:53maybe one small Max school or something.
- 26:56You give him that offer it immediately opens the line of
- 27:00communications. All right, Brian, this is yours
- 27:03right here, buddy. How about some unbalanced
- 27:06classes? Yeah.
- 27:09Yeah. That is the big big problem with
- 27:13with our roster right now is that we've been stacking.
- 27:17Its combination of two. Things are going to talk about
- 27:18that. Very next step here, but
- 27:21unbalanced classes. So we are stacking players at
- 27:24positions and then you can, you can you can give me the fist
- 27:29pump. I saw, Matt suggest K the kid.
- 27:31Yeah, that was a big. Big big get out there.
- 27:37We gotta Double ought to start the inning, got a Sac fly to
- 27:42move into third, and then we get to two back-to-back strikeouts
- 27:45to close it out. So that was nice.
- 27:46That was nice. All right.
- 27:48So unbalanced classes, okay, taking five wide receivers in
- 27:55the class, then turn around and taking five defensive ends in a
- 27:58class five running backs in a class.
- 28:03I mean, what's the purpose of having 10 scholarship, running
- 28:07backs? There is no purpose at most.
- 28:11You're going to have one running back on the field at one time.
- 28:15Even if you were going heavy rotation and I mean, I'll say
- 28:18heavy rotation. Where Bob guys 56, I'll say six,
- 28:24like you have the all-around that's a heavy rotations.
- 28:28I'm just saying that's what I will say it out loud.
- 28:31You have, you have to all around guys, right?
- 28:33They can do a little bit of everything.
- 28:35They can run inside outside. They can they can catch some
- 28:38passes. Did you have your heavy guys
- 28:42short yardage situation guys? Which we still don't understand
- 28:46how to put the right size, guys, in four short yardage situation.
- 28:50So, two of those. And then these are my more pass
- 28:54catchers. If we're going to run them, was
- 28:56probably gonna be outside. The numbers are going to run
- 28:58outside Zone. Sweeps 6, I'd say five to six is
- 29:04maximum number of running backs. You need on a Collegiate roster.
- 29:09And we got me, even if even if you're even if you got one or
- 29:13two on there that you want to Redshirt like by Design like
- 29:18seven, maybe eight maybe ten never to.
- 29:22And if you got, if you got 10 on the roster and I'm not trying to
- 29:27knock this class this year and I've got that up still.
- 29:30So I'm going to look at. We got 10 on the roster right
- 29:32now and we've got Ramon Brown. And we've got Bryce Cube.
- 29:41Dip, so no one leaves, which I think the only genuine Holston
- 29:45would be the only one who would be eligible to leave because of
- 29:48how old he is. I think heymann them still have
- 29:51a chance, 11, you know, it's and it's the thing is, it's, well,
- 29:57we have the scholarships to give and it's like, yeah, but you're
- 30:00devoting your resources to recruiting that position, the
- 30:05devoting your resources to recruiting that position,
- 30:07devoting your obviously time and effort, And devoting the
- 30:12scholarship like why are we giving scholarships to positions
- 30:16that we're already set at? Yeah.
- 30:20It's truly. Like, I'd much rather throw a
- 30:23scholarship to a borderline you know, three star Talent at a
- 30:30position that we need. Then keep stacking running
- 30:34backs. Just just because they're
- 30:36willing to come to Virginia Tech or where depth truly.
- 30:40Chatters. Yeah, me, there's three
- 30:43positions that you can never get enough of offensive linemen
- 30:47defensive lineman and secondary players, because secondary
- 30:50players, you can have a kid who's playing Corner potential.
- 30:54He can move to safety. If he doesn't have the skills,
- 30:56get and vice versa. Yep.
- 30:58Um, if everybody go back in the day, Kam Chancellor started as a
- 31:01corner and he was solid there, but he became spectacular as a
- 31:07safety. Those three positions because at
- 31:10any one time, there's going to be Five Guys on a field at four
- 31:15to five guys on the field. So we'll get into the player
- 31:18retention and a few other things later on that, and Brian, here's
- 31:21the one. I've kind of noticed And I'm
- 31:25going to go back with a kid here from the r-va that you coached
- 31:27against that. We watch develop over a decade
- 31:31ago. Anton, Aksum was a three-star.
- 31:34Kid coming out of a Deep Run. Played quarterback, played
- 31:38Safety. It was classified as an athlete.
- 31:43No one knew where he was going to play when he came out.
- 31:46Some people thought running back, maybe he's a wideout you
- 31:49know if he grows a little bit he could probably be a linebacker.
- 31:53Maybe a corner. We're not recruiting just going
- 31:57out there and looking at a kid who might be playing quarterback
- 32:00and free safety. Look at their body type and
- 32:03saying, this kid is an athlete. He has he's built, he's 61, he's
- 32:10205 pounds, he's fast. He has good agility.
- 32:15Wouldn't find a place to put him and with this staff to me, and
- 32:19if I'm wrong, somebody please DM us and tell us, I don't feel
- 32:24like we Fruit like true athletes and just looking through this
- 32:28year's, you know, I'm looking, I don't really see anyone that's
- 32:33really an athlete actually. I don't think anybody's
- 32:36classified as an athlete. No, I'm going.
- 32:40I'm going, I'm going, I'm almost to the top. 23, commits zero.
- 32:45Classified it athlete. Yeah, and we definitely used to
- 32:51look at that more. I know that with 24/7 diving, a
- 32:55little bit deeper, there are fewer true athletes in a
- 33:00recruiting class now than there used to be there at least
- 33:03slapping a position on them even if it's not necessarily you know
- 33:09written in stone, right? But I'm with you because some of
- 33:15the best players that have walked through that tunnel had
- 33:19I've been guys, we didn't know exactly where they were going to
- 33:22play when they were being recruited.
- 33:24They were just damn good athletes.
- 33:27They were players. They were guys on their team
- 33:30that that got it done and I just don't see us doing that.
- 33:37But when we talk about recruiting, the other thing that
- 33:41we got to talk about with with recruiting and it's it goes into
- 33:44the depth. Is that player retention, right?
- 33:47Water percent just before we get to play retention 24/7.
- 33:51Currently has 157, guys. Classified as athlete.
- 33:54Under now E7, that's a small number compared to how many kids
- 33:58are going out, but Brian hundred percent right after recruiting,
- 34:02it's getting them in the building developing and
- 34:05retaining them. It doesn't matter if you recruit
- 34:09them and everybody leaves the next year.
- 34:11But let's start with the biggest problem room right now for us.
- 34:15It's a quarterback room. Yeah.
- 34:17How many years have proven? They been here.
- 34:21How many quarterbacks have started a game for us six that
- 34:25same number of years? That's bad.
- 34:29That's bad. Eh.
- 34:33Actually let's take Kenny Pickett.
- 34:36Okay, Kenny F and picket, can he pick it?
- 34:39Has been at Pitt for three years.
- 34:42He has started for three years and he actually has played for.
- 34:47He got some time when 2018. So he's seen the deal for years.
- 34:51He's had the same offensive coordinator for the last three,
- 34:56and Kenny pick. It is you was we said Brian.
- 35:00Never we, I still don't feel like he has the highest ceiling.
- 35:03But he never had a terrible floor.
- 35:06No, right? And out the out, the gate, he
- 35:09was a solid player with enough F, lettuce is mm2 key.
- 35:12Plays alive extend plays or do that Scramble for a first down
- 35:17when you need it. It was always that guy.
- 35:20He was always the always through a pretty accurate ball as well.
- 35:24You know, the the issue that, you know, we saw it with Kenny
- 35:28Pickett is that for a while there he wasn't going out there
- 35:31and winning games that He needed to buy himself a part of the
- 35:36problem was that they put too much on him, probably early in
- 35:40terms of him having to do that. And now that the rosters kind of
- 35:43balanced out in terms of the offensive weapons.
- 35:47Yep. He's coming into his own and
- 35:49because he's he knows the system and and and there's a lot to be
- 35:53said about chemistry and understanding the system to a
- 35:57very rich degree, right? When you're in it for three
- 36:01years and not just in it. But playing it live against
- 36:05other competition. That matters it does.
- 36:10What does also from a point, and I think you made this Wednesday
- 36:14night, you get that on tape and you can be physically ready to
- 36:19go, but as you see it on tape, it's this right?
- 36:23Yep. I see what I did here wrong.
- 36:26When I see that safety, move down my Slants my slams taken
- 36:31away, but if I see him move down my seam, If I can make that
- 36:36other safety move to the far, hash I'm going to have my seam
- 36:39route open, or I'm going to have my en route in because the
- 36:43safety is not there anymore. It's the mental reps.
- 36:46It seemed things on tape and it's having someone to develop
- 36:51you which Mark Whipple has in Mark Whipple you know and we can
- 36:55joke about Whipple offense where he's kind of combining spread
- 36:58and pro Concepts. The guy was in the NFL for a few
- 37:03years, the guy has a solid Track record as being a pretty good
- 37:06quarterback developer. The when you're going six on
- 37:10six, it says a lot about who the quarterback coach is.
- 37:16That you're not making guys, stick around be better.
- 37:19You're shuffling guys, out the door, you're essentially playing
- 37:23favorites watching Hendon last night before he got knocked out.
- 37:26And I hope that I haven't seen any news today.
- 37:30I hope that he can come back but you know, it not only it hurts,
- 37:40you from the development standpoint. but it hurts you
- 37:43from doubt, we have no death in in in, you know, we were out
- 37:49here like O'Connor Knox and it's like, you want someone like a
- 37:54Quincy and Quincy should have been They how do you don't
- 37:59retain one of them? With all of that is said and
- 38:03done is just strange to me because I mean there's no way
- 38:09that they looked at what we're dealing with this year.
- 38:12Were like yeah that's going to be sufficient to go out and get
- 38:15a coastal Championship. Like there's there's no way that
- 38:21they saw on tape. And they were like, Yep this
- 38:25this is going to get it done and I think that that's another
- 38:29problem that we're having with player retention, is that for
- 38:33whatever reason we don't value depth, we don't value getting
- 38:36guys involved, especially on the offensive side.
- 38:40Oh, yeah, I think that's another problem because we've got wide
- 38:44receivers that are transferring out because we don't get other
- 38:47guys involved in the offense and I love Trey and Tay and I feel
- 38:51like they're getting the shit end of the stick as well.
- 38:54But other people need to get some of these balls thrown their
- 38:59way because we need to be able to spread the ball around.
- 39:07And we really have underutilized the tight end position
- 39:10habitually throughout the tenure of Fuente.
- 39:14And it's strange because that I know the the H back kind of
- 39:19makes that offense go in terms of the running game and things
- 39:22like that. But At some point you just gotta
- 39:26you gotta figure it out and get it.
- 39:28Get those guys involved in the passing game more.
- 39:30I mean I know James Mitchell is out and that's a big blow but
- 39:34you got to have you got to have a plan B next man up get this
- 39:38thing going absolutely and you talk about the wide receiver
- 39:42room and dude we don't see any of the younger players.
- 39:45It's essentially before last night, Dwayne Lofton had one
- 39:49catch. It was on for like maybe three
- 39:51or four series. You've got to get them on the
- 39:53field. Field.
- 39:54There's no way you can develop them.
- 39:55There's no way you can get game filming.
- 39:57Tell them what they're doing. Right?
- 39:58What they're doing wrong. And I think what this staff
- 40:01thinks is, well if they're not doing it, good in practice where
- 40:04they don't doing a game and it's why we got the EFT in 2019 when
- 40:07they started Willis, because hook or well, he does some
- 40:10things wrong in practice and it's tight and you always say,
- 40:14Brian, I don't, practice is great.
- 40:17But there are certain times you just have to put people on feel.
- 40:20They have to play. They had a few if You know, the
- 40:24limitations of, who you think your starter is?
- 40:28And, you know, the upside of the guy that's behind them, you got
- 40:31to try the other guy that's behind him and get him some more
- 40:34reps in the game, so he can take those steps in the development
- 40:40process. I mean, we had a full.
- 40:45What how many games was it eight games of Ryan Willis in 2018?
- 40:50Yeah, we knew what the Ryan Willis was all about.
- 40:53By the end of that year. Yes, we did.
- 40:56I don't think anyone thought that Ryan Willis was a high
- 41:00ceiling quarterback. No more.
- 41:06Yeah, if if it's picked day, it was going to be.
- 41:11It was going to be a long one. See opening game BC 2019.
- 41:19But it's so if you're if you don't get those young players on
- 41:23the field, you know, it sounds silly.
- 41:27Let's just be hindsight and I know one of our guys, we chat
- 41:31with. They Cokie be fish.
- 41:34His Remember this comment is long time ago.
- 41:37Let's chat with him when he said he's like I think we should have
- 41:41just played hook or an 18. We weren't a good team.
- 41:46Yeah, all day was online was the bowl street but you could you in
- 41:51again, if you actually had a good quarterback developer if
- 41:54Booker had played 18, 19, 20, and then come in with basically
- 42:00three full seasons Where it's not we're not worried about him
- 42:05lining people up, right? He can go out there and do this
- 42:07offense in his sleep. It's it's the mental reps and
- 42:12unfortunately, it's going to happen next year.
- 42:15I think, whoever the court we're going to have even though it's
- 42:17going to be a new regime seven quarterbacks in seven years.
- 42:21No team is successful. No, professional team.
- 42:25Most high school teams aren't like that.
- 42:26Usually high school teams. Brian you can attest chef.
- 42:31Jep was really scared a couple of you.
- 42:33At least get a couple years with most of those guys, exactly.
- 42:36We already talked about the running back room.
- 42:38It's way too. Crowded offensive line run.
- 42:42We did this to ourselves. Yeah, yeah, I mean, we submarine
- 42:46the depth, we allowed players to potentially run the room, and
- 42:54I'd like to that rant that ran off a couple players.
- 42:59So in that and now You're faced with a situation where your back
- 43:05filling and you got you're not you're not comfortable.
- 43:09Interior offensive line, you're awful at tackle death right now.
- 43:14Yeah, awful terrible. Absolutely awful.
- 43:18And this is a, this is a 223 cycle fix.
- 43:21This is not something that we're fixing with the 22 class or even
- 43:25the 23 classes, the three cycle fix?
- 43:28Yeah, because we essentially only We have true.
- 43:32What? Three tackles?
- 43:35Yep. You tackles two new to Silas and
- 43:38Clements who played Saturday. In the whole, the the whole
- 43:45player running the locker room was, was alleged.
- 43:49But when you see two guys, leave like that and you saw them
- 43:53getting playing time and whether you like rotations are not, that
- 43:57is what it is. Even the NFL rotate.
- 43:59Sometimes I've seen that with my 49ers rotating, occasionally on
- 44:05the interior. That's, that's, that's just the
- 44:08fact of the game. We live in today.
- 44:10It's not what it was 30 years ago where if you're the starter
- 44:13your, the starter you're never coming out of here on the
- 44:15offensive line. But when you take away, like
- 44:20Hudson and Nestor where, you know, say what you will if our
- 44:25starting line this year was probably Hudson its Center
- 44:31rocket, right? Doug it right.
- 44:34Tackle. With Silas being a swing in
- 44:37Parker, being a swing guy in. I know you always mention
- 44:40Johnny, wouldn't be here Kaden. Getting some early reps to
- 44:44develop himself. I don't know if we would be what
- 44:47we were last year. I think we'd better when we are
- 44:49now. And if you can keep them in the
- 44:52locker room, and somebody will say, well, that's just the
- 44:55position coach. No, no.
- 44:58The head coach dictates That's tough, because if the position
- 45:01coach, I'm sorry, I'm getting a little excited about this, but
- 45:05if your bank, if I see night, it's the position coach is
- 45:09letting that sort of shit happen.
- 45:11You go, you pull him in the office, like, nah, you need to
- 45:14crack down on this. You need to not let the players
- 45:17run the room. You stop this crap and you need
- 45:20to have a man-to-man conversation with these guys
- 45:23about the way while we rotate. And then you need to give them
- 45:26examples of why we rotate. But, you know, Start with the
- 45:33head guy. It does in we're paying for now.
- 45:37The other situation is defensive end situation, that's a weird
- 45:41situation. But it goes back to Step One.
- 45:45The stacking. You talked about Ryan.
- 45:48We saw especially in the Notre Dame game, not having that
- 45:51in-depth killed us in the end. Because I follow the game, we
- 45:55did not have gas to send guys after the quarterback, and
- 46:00finally had you had the statue back in there, but you were to
- 46:03gas to go after him. And then last night with the way
- 46:07they were running the ball same way, right?
- 46:09If you don't have the ends, it consistently rotate in.
- 46:14They can't set the edges or at least try to eat a, make the
- 46:18hump and the hump on that Raheem Blackshear play.
- 46:21Where he went six yards, backwards, terrible running play
- 46:24there, but You know, it's one of those things and everybody's
- 46:33like, well that's University policy of the stuff that
- 46:35happens. It seemed well, you know what?
- 46:38If you actually have a head coach, Who's involved in that
- 46:40stuff, who's getting in there and having conversations with
- 46:45the administration's, you know, maybe something like this
- 46:51doesn't happen. But again, doesn't choose to
- 46:54chooses to go home. Not talk might be social You
- 47:01know, again it's a two prong right there, it's stacking and
- 47:07then it's the lack of communication with the
- 47:09administration on campus, but it's stacking.
- 47:13But it's also when it comes to just overall roster management
- 47:19because if you are recruiting at a proper clip at that defensive
- 47:24end position and doing a good job of retaining those players,
- 47:28then you can afford to lose one or two guys.
- 47:31Guys, especially considering, you know, one of the three
- 47:34probably wasn't in into a rotational position coming into
- 47:38this year to were two were. And but if but if you're
- 47:44recruiting that position properly, you can lose two guys
- 47:47that are possibly part of your rotation and still keep it
- 47:51moving as long as they're not your front line players, right.
- 47:55And they weren't they weren't the front line players but we
- 47:57had not we had not recruited that position in a way.
- 48:01Where we could manage that type of attrition.
- 48:03Yeah. So again, recruiting retention
- 48:07all in one Fell Swoop there and we see paying and don't get me
- 48:11wrong, towel on garbett in a maribor.
- 48:15Know they make me feel like the old-school Tech defensive ends.
- 48:22When they are gassed up now and they get beat up at the end of
- 48:26the game, they're not, but nobody's going to be no.
- 48:30All right, Brian, well, let's flip it over.
- 48:31We've taken care of, what's going on the locker room?
- 48:34We've taken care of the recruiting Trail.
- 48:36Let's talk about game days because I swear to God, I swear
- 48:42to God. Our team's juice on game days is
- 48:46the most by Kohler thing I've ever seen.
- 48:49And sometimes it's literally, I put Her to quarter.
- 48:52And I'm actually going to go back and say that's wrong drive
- 48:55to drive. Yeah, I 100% agree with you.
- 49:01It seems like when taking never get this team up when they need
- 49:06to be up and often times when you know the the defense rallies
- 49:14in gets us up the offense comes out completely flat and lays an
- 49:17egg and it's not just it's sometimes the body language.
- 49:22It's sometimes they come out and they don't look like they are
- 49:25confident about making the play that they need to make.
- 49:28And I think that's, that's the thing that is striking to me, is
- 49:31that sometimes they just don't seem ready to, to get the job
- 49:36done in those situations. And that's a problem in that
- 49:39goes back to coaching, but the other thing that goes back to
- 49:41coaching is adjustments when we see.
- 49:44All right. Our game plan is not working
- 49:46yet. Let's move off of this.
- 49:48Let's do something different in the It game.
- 49:51We were taking shots, we knew we had to take shots that's fine,
- 49:55but you're dealing with a swirling wind with your
- 49:59quarterback that probably still has some degree of a shoulder
- 50:03injury and doesn't have the strongest arm in the world
- 50:05already and you've got him swinging, you know, 30 yard goes
- 50:11and Fades pretty much the whole first half and I get you've got
- 50:16to take those shots, but you also have to mix it up where
- 50:19they can think about something. One else, it's true.
- 50:23You have to make the corners, think about something else.
- 50:25You can't just keep coming at them with the same thing,
- 50:28especially when you don't have Isaiah Ford out there or Bucky
- 50:32housing or Bucky Hodges. We get the money.
- 50:37It's true. It's true.
- 50:40And it took him a couple series to start making his adjustments.
- 50:48But again, I'll say it. If ham doesn't make a couple of
- 50:51his adjustments on the defensive side of the ball.
- 50:54It's even uglier in the first gets ugly.
- 50:56Yeah, I mean he he compared to the offensive side hands making
- 51:01his adjustments. Yeah.
- 51:04Now sometimes they take a couple drives to get going but they
- 51:08might be a driver to later. And you like but they get there
- 51:12eventually get there and then it offensive ly it's just like
- 51:17there was there was still no gameplay and change 21-nothing
- 51:20down in the second half. There was nothing.
- 51:23It literally took until the last drive that we finally scored on
- 51:28to where we found it like oh maybe we can do this in this by
- 51:30that time of 28. Nothing is like it's too late.
- 51:33This needed to happen at 14 nothing but we had our plan and
- 51:36it was going to we wasn't working.
- 51:39We and we finally got a call from the ref.
- 51:41We finally hit a deep ball to trade.
- 51:43We're like. All right.
- 51:44Well, now this the other plans working you're down.
- 51:47Okay. Force.
- 51:48You down. Yeah, you you're down.
- 51:50You're down 28-nothing at some point.
- 51:53You know, there should have been a change sooner and I get that
- 51:58there was some drops are receivers had some drops.
- 52:01There were some missing Flags, we're not, there were some Miss
- 52:04flag, we're not, we're not saying that there weren't other
- 52:07other things at play here. There are, there were in players
- 52:11have to go out there and execute, but we've talked about
- 52:15habitual execution errors, being a flaw of the of the coaching
- 52:19staff, and we're seeing that again, this this week.
- 52:24And at some point, if you're coaching staff sees that you're
- 52:27having execution flaws in a game, it doesn't do something to
- 52:31try to mitigate some of that that's on them, to its own them.
- 52:35And it's on the head man who essentially get the people to
- 52:38start making the changes Ages. We've always discussed
- 52:41situational play calls and that's again in game type stuff.
- 52:45Gained a type stuff. We're what we've harped on it
- 52:49before. But when you keep seeing things
- 52:52and nothing is changing, eventually, it's not.
- 52:55Well the players you said it before Brian, we've said it a
- 52:57lot in the last month, the players necessarily are
- 53:01executing this play. If they're not executing it
- 53:05right, what are you doing behind the scenes?
- 53:07Especially when it keeps happening over and over again.
- 53:10And I think this week situational didn't matter,
- 53:14situational did not matter. I don't know.
- 53:16I just much because I mean all the situational play calls are
- 53:20like, alright, well third down, we're going to truck it.
- 53:23Go to the second down, we're going to check it.
- 53:25Although when you sit here and I think I've got a note here, one
- 53:29of them, didn't we go deep on, like a third and five where we
- 53:32had a little momentum. Yeah.
- 53:35Like you know I think it was I want to say was I can't remember
- 53:41who was the drive, just before they went to 14 or just after
- 53:44they went to 14 where we got a kind of a good first couple
- 53:48downs and we're in a manageable situation and we're still trying
- 53:52to Chuck the ball down feel like at some point.
- 53:56Take what the defense has given you and and matriculate the ball
- 54:00a little bit. Like I said, I know they're
- 54:02inviting the Deep ball there but if you're not hitting it figure
- 54:07out something else, second quarter bronze.
- 54:10When that was It was a it was, you know, it was we took a shot
- 54:19on like third and five or third and four and it was just one of
- 54:23those like what why? Like if this was a 1414 game
- 54:28sure for take the shot try to maybe you get to catch the
- 54:32safety. Going in the corner, peeking his
- 54:34head and looking for the run, in this case, you're down.
- 54:38Also, your quarterback is trying to find some Rhythm and you're
- 54:41giving him low percentage throws back.
- 54:43Back-to-back-to-back, get that confidence up, Braun.
- 54:46Let's take a deep shot here. One last piece of game day is
- 54:51in. This is ultimately only the head
- 54:53coaches. The other ones are how he's
- 54:57dictating things to his assistant coaches, but those
- 55:01decisions when going for it on fourth down, extra point, versus
- 55:06two points, fakes things like that.
- 55:10That is strictly on the head coach, he makes those Calls
- 55:14whether to punt or to go for a long field goal that's all on
- 55:18him. Now I'll say this, I think for
- 55:22when they as far as going for it on fourth down, I think he's
- 55:26better than Frank was because Frank Beamer at the 43-yard line
- 55:31on Third and or on fourth and one it was going to be fine.
- 55:38Yeah, he will. I mean, he's definitely
- 55:41conservative or traditional in terms.
- 55:43Of a 2021 coach, but he is less conservative than Frank was,
- 55:48every was going for two. Nope, I don't care.
- 55:51If it's going to get us up three.
- 55:52We're going up to the problem I have with went a is that the
- 55:57decisions don't make sense in the context of the game, not
- 56:01necessarily, whether or not they are conservative or liberal
- 56:06enough in the situation. Yeah.
- 56:08And then it goes back into. Well if it's 4th down, you're
- 56:12going for for it. and especially if you're the back room, that
- 56:17you're an offensive coordinator, Then you have to call the play.
- 56:22You have to call, you know, fourth and three.
- 56:25We're down 14, but we're at the 36, I'm not going to take a
- 56:28field goal. I'm not going to punt it for
- 56:30potentially a net of 10 or 15 yards.
- 56:34I'm gonna go for it. Then, what do you call that?
- 56:37What was your play here? Because you have to make the
- 56:41decision, you should be on page with Yosi to say, you know,
- 56:46we're running this play because I think we can get three out of
- 56:50this. for whatever reason, and you know, This is that's
- 56:58actually probably the decisions. Things are probably something,
- 57:00he's done. Okay, home in some but the times
- 57:05where it fails it's just like the worst possible times and you
- 57:09just kind of shake your head. Alright, Braun me.
- 57:13And you were both history majors, man.
- 57:15And this is the one that I kind of dug in on today and just
- 57:20started thinking a lot about. And, you know, you think about
- 57:24great generals throughout history that led Lead their
- 57:27respective armories, whether it be u.s.
- 57:29Grant, you know, in the Civil War robbery lie in the Civil
- 57:32War, Eisenhower. They're Lieutenant generals or
- 57:36their underlings, you had to have great ones you know you
- 57:42think about the Civil War? You think about u.s.
- 57:44Grant and how even though he was leading the campaign Sherman's
- 57:49March through the South, you think about Lee.
- 57:53And you think about having Jackson, I wrote my senior
- 57:55thesis on the 1862 campaign in the Shenandoah Valley, Which
- 58:01essentially Jackson was able to keep that Valley from
- 58:04essentially getting torched. Prolonging the war.
- 58:09Yep, if you do not have good Lieutenant, generals Most time
- 58:16people fail. In war as an inn in sports, if
- 58:21you do not have good lieutenants.
- 58:23And I make this point, as I ramble about our history
- 58:27background about the last two seasons for Justin Fuente, has
- 58:34been his worst two seasons, whether it be as an offensive
- 58:38coordinator. Or as a head coach because I
- 58:43look at Memphis when he got there.
- 58:45It was an absolute dumpster fire.
- 58:47Yeah. Nick Saban could have walked in
- 58:49there and won the same amount of games.
- 58:52But these last two seasons is the first time.
- 58:56He's not really had a lieutenant general with him and I go back
- 58:59Brian, and although he was the lieutenant to Gary Patterson,
- 59:05You always made the point. He had a Colo see, while he was
- 59:09with TCU the open guy been there.
- 59:12Long time, we go down to Memphis.
- 59:14He had Darryl Dickie Darryl Dickie has coach forever their
- 59:18dick. He's like 63 years old.
- 59:19They're all Dickey is literally started coaching 1980s.
- 59:23You come here you'd have buds experience of close to 25 plus
- 59:28years on you know Frank staff. In town, at Murray State in any
- 59:35had Jerry killing 19 every year. He's had someone to essentially
- 59:39bounces ideas off. And now, he doesn't.
- 59:43How much do you think? Is that important to you?
- 59:45Go back to, who was Marty's guy like that, that maybe that
- 59:50wasn't, maybe, maybe Marty's age, but just just in football,
- 59:53as long as better experiences, yeah, we had, we had a couple
- 59:59guys are One of our the co offensive line coach is really
- 1:00:06both offensive line coach has, kind of had had that same type
- 1:00:10of same type of clout where, you know, he would bounce ideas off
- 1:00:14of them and really use that lean on their experience in games to
- 1:00:24kind of make some of those calls in clutch moments there.
- 1:00:29Not having a guy that that you can lean on and obviously 20
- 1:00:34showing that he needs that type of presence, given his record
- 1:00:40here. I mean it's showing right?
- 1:00:45It is, and it is. I mean, it's showing in so many
- 1:00:49different ways because with those guys, you know, you start
- 1:00:53looking back where they've coached and stuff, they've
- 1:00:55experienced big games, they've experienced big moments, even
- 1:00:58speared, crucial moments and you know leading up having those
- 1:01:02guys in your ear. We have no associate or
- 1:01:05assistant head coach, right? Bud, was it?
- 1:01:09And we did not get one named last year and we did not have
- 1:01:12one name this year. But is there anybody on staff?
- 1:01:16Brian that we can because right now, you know, the staff is sort
- 1:01:21of compromised with. It's it's his buddies Bill and
- 1:01:27Brad, and Jafar and shy best. And somebody says, well, shy
- 1:01:31best, you know, has been coaching a long time since the
- 1:01:35early 1990s. Yeah.
- 1:01:36But he's been on the staff of 10 years for Wednesday.
- 1:01:39That's usually you get to that status.
- 1:01:41You get buddy, status on, you got younger coaches.
- 1:01:46And when I say young coaches, you've got like ham and Adam.
- 1:01:52You know, and then you got newbies like JC and Jack.
- 1:01:59And you're not going to put, you know, although JC price has been
- 1:02:02coaching close to 15 years. Very rarely, will you put
- 1:02:06someone that's coming in off the street in an associate head?
- 1:02:10Coach role? Because of the importance of
- 1:02:11that role. Yeah.
- 1:02:13So he has an l and then they gave him a pretty high title
- 1:02:15given that he was coming, you know?
- 1:02:17Yeah. From out of house, right?
- 1:02:19So, and he's done well in that role, but I'm with you there
- 1:02:24doesn't there isn't that type of Mentor type Auction that it
- 1:02:30seems that Fuente would need to have have the success that he
- 1:02:33liked to have. And I think the bigger thing,
- 1:02:37and we're going to talk about a little bit is that there's just
- 1:02:43a unwillingness to really examine harshly when he looking
- 1:02:52at looking at the tape and saying, all right, we can do
- 1:02:54this better, we can do that better, that's fine, but that's
- 1:02:56that shit. You dear all the time if you
- 1:02:59need to fully evaluate The staff members and get rid of the ones
- 1:03:05that are not living up to their billing.
- 1:03:08Well and, and, and let's, let's let's talk about first so.
- 1:03:13So right now, in terms of hiring firing retaining staff, all that
- 1:03:19right now, we have one unknown factor, right?
- 1:03:21So that's Jack, Tyler. I mean, he still relatively
- 1:03:24doing the position early returns.
- 1:03:27Are looking good. Wow.
- 1:03:29Yeah. It's not jumping off the tape or
- 1:03:33anything like that, but the the unit is played better than they
- 1:03:37did last year and he's done a pretty good job on the
- 1:03:40recruiting Trail. Yeah, absolutely.
- 1:03:43He's done a good job. And again, he's unknown, even
- 1:03:46though he's been here in some type of role for the last 34
- 1:03:49years until you get in that spot, you don't know about it.
- 1:03:53And there's not enough animal. They all the good.
- 1:03:57I put four guys in this and we're going to talk about guys
- 1:04:01who have also Been on the staff before.
- 1:04:03So when y'all hear some other names don't be surprised what
- 1:04:08the good have been ham. I think what hands done this
- 1:04:11year is great, especially after last year what he had to go
- 1:04:15through Ryan Smith, almost wanted to make a separate
- 1:04:21category for Ryan Smith, but I didn't Ryan Smith is currently
- 1:04:27the MVP of he is a of The Hires because he is not Knocked out
- 1:04:32the park in every phase that he's been asked to contribute.
- 1:04:35It he does. Great job coaching the defensive
- 1:04:37backs, he's doing a great job recruiting and then the other
- 1:04:40two goods are JC and Bill Jason on the recruiting Trail
- 1:04:46obviously and then the defensive line overall the defensive line
- 1:04:50has held this team in games, you know?
- 1:04:58In the development Barna interval say with barn has not
- 1:05:01looking at the, he's sometimes the statutes not there.
- 1:05:05Yeah. But he still garnering the
- 1:05:07attention, the old become the issue with bar know is is when
- 1:05:11he no longer garnish the attention, but he still
- 1:05:14garnering it and a couple weeks was it, the the second play
- 1:05:17against Notre Dame and that inside the inside spin move?
- 1:05:20Not the outside spending. We're used to from people that
- 1:05:23inside, spend move, put that tackle in a blender.
- 1:05:26He didn't know what he's doing. They're getting the most out of
- 1:05:30their guys. They're getting the most.
- 1:05:33Are they perfect? No, that's why.
- 1:05:36I kind of joked and said, I'd like to put Smith in his own,
- 1:05:39but what the returns were getting from defensive line so
- 1:05:41far great. Yep.
- 1:05:45So go ahead. I will say, then we got we have
- 1:05:50another category here that's like guys that are doing okay.
- 1:05:55You know, Vance Vice, it's been very up and down.
- 1:05:59It's been up and down, right? We've had a couple good years, a
- 1:06:05great year and then a couple bad years.
- 1:06:08Yeah. And we're in the midst of a bad
- 1:06:11year and some of that is self-inflicted the okay because
- 1:06:18because when you have good and bad stack you can't just throw
- 1:06:21somebody doing bad. Yeah and he's done a pretty good
- 1:06:24job. On the recruiting Trail.
- 1:06:26You got coach shy best in this. In this category.
- 1:06:31I think he does a good job overall with the special teams
- 1:06:34that that's been probably a standout unit for this team,
- 1:06:37this year to go along with, with the defense, Adam Lichtenberg.
- 1:06:44I think he did a good job of managing things last year.
- 1:06:48I think so far this year, mixed return there and I think it's
- 1:06:55hard. It's hard to really give him a
- 1:06:58great grade. But at the same time, I don't
- 1:07:01want to knock him because I see what the offensive line isn't
- 1:07:04getting done. And there's only so much that
- 1:07:07running backs can negate that and there's only so much that a
- 1:07:11coach can scheme for that for the running backs in the gate
- 1:07:14that exactly the last two are guys who are no longer.
- 1:07:18Longer with the program, but they did.
- 1:07:19Okay, while they were here in Charlie Wiles, did probably
- 1:07:22better than, okay, you know, he was defensive line coach when
- 1:07:27there were steps back towards the end.
- 1:07:29But if you look at the full body of work, sure and say well,
- 1:07:33Brian Mitchell the time. Brian Mitchell was here.
- 1:07:37He was okay. And they both are continuing to
- 1:07:40doing a solid job down at NC State.
- 1:07:42So it's not like those guys left here and couldn't find a D2 job
- 1:07:47somewhere. They went Another prominent top
- 1:07:5035 40 program who are bumping right now?
- 1:07:54We'll talk about that. Take a little later Brian today.
- 1:07:57So there are the okay they aren't knocking it out of the
- 1:08:01park, but they aren't falling flat on their face and that goes
- 1:08:06to the bad, the falling flat on your face, looking terrible.
- 1:08:11And obviously, no, this is from Puentes perspective by the way
- 1:08:15and take respected. There's a few guys on here.
- 1:08:18We're putting on here for different reason, and we'll
- 1:08:20explain why. But the first ones corn after
- 1:08:232016 and that year he has not had anything like it.
- 1:08:29Close to it in 2017 but it was regression. 2018 regression
- 1:08:35little uptick in 2019. Little uptick in 2020 and then
- 1:08:43massive regression this year. Massive aggression in this is
- 1:08:48absolutely dependent upon having talented skill position players
- 1:08:53on the field. When he has talented players at
- 1:08:58the quarterback position to that the skilled positions.
- 1:09:02The offense can look, okay. He is not making players better.
- 1:09:07No, he's not. Whether it's the quite the
- 1:09:10quarterback position by developing them or whether it's
- 1:09:13at the play calling position of getting guys into areas where
- 1:09:17they can make a play. Yeah, absolutely not good at it.
- 1:09:21And somebody say, well, what about Herbert last year,
- 1:09:24offensive line last year was dominant and you know what you
- 1:09:28saw it. Kaleo Herbert did today in the
- 1:09:30NFL that Kip I wanted tip over 100 trunk yards from scrimmage
- 1:09:35scored a touchdown. David Montgomery might have a
- 1:09:39running back mate there for the rest of the season as good as he
- 1:09:42looked, but that whole piece of there's no development.
- 1:09:47You can't hold your room together.
- 1:09:49You, you know, you continuously overturn, a guy.
- 1:09:54And then we see a guy in like, hooker, literally go to Josh
- 1:09:58hyphal and is already looking exponentially better, and he was
- 1:10:03there spring and fall, and he was under you for what?
- 1:10:08Five. Yep.
- 1:10:10Because he came in early one year.
- 1:10:12He was early in 18 or 17. Anyway, a lot more time to
- 1:10:18develop in obviously corn, couldn't get anything out of him
- 1:10:22and he's the bad. If there's someone that if in
- 1:10:252020, or 2019, Franklin Nelson had been fired.
- 1:10:32I think if we had a new OC and we had some struggles.
- 1:10:35You know what, I think part of the fan base would be like, hey,
- 1:10:37We have to give this guy another year.
- 1:10:41At least he made the decision to get rid of the bad peace and to
- 1:10:46try something different. Yes, it's the lack of
- 1:10:51accountability to guys, that aren't cutting the mustard,
- 1:10:54especially the offensive guys, I mean, let's move over.
- 1:10:58We can talk about Jafar, I think I think that's been It just it
- 1:11:05hasn't been a good overall higher, especially considering
- 1:11:08who he is, who he was replacing all.
- 1:11:11Oh yeah, he was also in this category for different reasons,
- 1:11:17you know, I think Jafar has not made his unit better in the pin
- 1:11:22the passing game. I think he does a pretty good
- 1:11:24job of getting them to work within the framework of the
- 1:11:29offense, in terms of blocking and things like that.
- 1:11:31But I don't see you. Year-on-year Improvement at the
- 1:11:35receiver position that you would think you would see ya from
- 1:11:39guys, like Trey and Tay for the time that they've been in the
- 1:11:43system. And that goes back to coaching,
- 1:11:47and it goes back back to is Jafar getting the job done for
- 1:11:51them. And if he's not, why are you
- 1:11:54hanging on to him friends? That's a friend.
- 1:11:57It's a friend from 15 years ago. So it's someone he has a
- 1:12:01relationship with but you which hires can Been like that and we
- 1:12:04get it but you know what? The guy he replacing, let's jump
- 1:12:09up a little bit. Brian, Wiggins was the guy even
- 1:12:14after so he comes in for Hodges Phillips, all Just Produce
- 1:12:19right. All those guys just absolutely
- 1:12:23produce and then you get 2017 and you had like Sean Savoy, you
- 1:12:29had can continuing to reduce and you know, it looked like okay
- 1:12:33this this is kind of this is the guy right here.
- 1:12:36We've got the guy that's going to you know be really good.
- 1:12:42And in 2018 comes and is bad as 2018 was, you know, you sit back
- 1:12:49and pray Turner's. A freshman.
- 1:12:52Trey Turner. you know, breakout season 500 plus yards, 20
- 1:12:58receptions, you know, Hazleton has a breakout season, and it's
- 1:13:02like, wow, you know, this is really good and Alabama comes
- 1:13:07calling and to be very honest, as good as Holloman was
- 1:13:16especially in 2018 with a transfer from Bowling Green and
- 1:13:23a true freshman and Trey Turner. In Ryan Willis at quarterback
- 1:13:28with the way, the rest of the team played, that means should
- 1:13:31have been made offensive coordinator right there.
- 1:13:34He would have got the same freaking pay, he got it Alabama
- 1:13:39and you would have put him in a better position, you know, to
- 1:13:40kill two birds with one stone, getting rid of rat.
- 1:13:43So you hook corn, you put Holmen Wiggins in there and you keep
- 1:13:47moving. And I'm with that and let while
- 1:13:51we're here, let's go ahead and pivot to the other side of the
- 1:13:53ball. And we're going to talk about
- 1:13:55both both. Safety coaches that for
- 1:13:58different reasons. Were were short.
- 1:14:02Were shown the door? Yeah, let's start with Tori and
- 1:14:06gray. Dildo.
- 1:14:10The did the disrespect and that situation still has not set well
- 1:14:14with a lot of folks in former players and things like that.
- 1:14:19So fans I mean, It's tough. It's tough.
- 1:14:27Seeing him doing other things that other schools.
- 1:14:30Well, going to the pros. Having some success with the
- 1:14:35Washington football team while he was there.
- 1:14:37I mean, Just letting a guy like that walk.
- 1:14:43Come on. You said it when we first
- 1:14:46started, this thing a couple of years ago, Braun.
- 1:14:48I'm you said I understand. You want to get your guy paid
- 1:14:52but you cannot do it at the cost of a guy who has this
- 1:14:55reputation. He had been at tech for right at
- 1:14:5710 years, he had put countless people in the league, he was
- 1:15:01respected, as, probably one of the best defensive back coach
- 1:15:04has and he ran, he ran the whole shop.
- 1:15:07No here and eby's here and safeties.
- 1:15:11And, you know, it's his dbe's and safeties played with the
- 1:15:16chip. They play with a chip.
- 1:15:18They played mean in the whole piece.
- 1:15:21Wasn't you know? It's your staff but be smart.
- 1:15:24If you're keeping this, his salary shouldn't a change.
- 1:15:27He should have never been asked to take a pay cut, that's all
- 1:15:30that had to happen. That's all that had to happen.
- 1:15:32If he don't ask him to take a pay cut and it's in this
- 1:15:37completely cool. If you would have had him just
- 1:15:40Watch the corners and let Galen coach the safeties.
- 1:15:45I think they probably could have worked it out.
- 1:15:46I think knowing, you know, those guys I think that could have
- 1:15:50worked out but again it's that whole piece of you.
- 1:15:55Let go of this guy. And then we had a struggle and
- 1:15:59go find Brian Mitchell you know late in the process it shows you
- 1:16:05kind of it was early on and I'm sure I might have quoted tweeted
- 1:16:12something favorable towards the new head coach hindsight's
- 1:16:1620/20. It's stupid.
- 1:16:18I don't remember that far back. I'm sorry if you want to dig
- 1:16:22through my tweets and call me out whatever I that doesn't
- 1:16:24matter to me I we've all said stupid things and calling
- 1:16:28Somebody else, just funny. But, yeah, I mean, you know, a
- 1:16:33bunch of Lies were told in 2016 and 2017, they exactly.
- 1:16:39Don't look good. Now, let's go to the last guy
- 1:16:42though, because his is the most controversial situation Galen,
- 1:16:46Scott of everybody that went, they brought with him Galen,
- 1:16:51Scott is on par with Holloman, they looked real deal day.
- 1:16:58One. Yep, the one, we recruited the
- 1:17:01way their coaches played. Well there.
- 1:17:03That's the way they play is play.
- 1:17:05Play play? Yeah, and Gala was doing a
- 1:17:08really good job with the recruiting Trail, wasn't it?
- 1:17:11He was what. But you know it's one of those
- 1:17:17things O'Brien, you know. It was coming.
- 1:17:21It was trashy. Reality though.
- 1:17:29And he was let go for it. It was one of those things could
- 1:17:33he have been retained. Yeah, and I think some people
- 1:17:39would have had an uproar. Other people have been like,
- 1:17:42yeah, I know when it happened is when it happened.
- 1:17:44But, you know, I'm sure that was during his personal time on the
- 1:17:48road trip, I don't condone it. It's coming.
- 1:17:52It's a crappy thing to do. But it's one of those things you
- 1:17:57let him go. and, you know, you essentially set numerous things
- 1:18:07back because reality I think I also you heard Bud talk about
- 1:18:14him to how about how he felt good about Galen.
- 1:18:18Yep it probably would have been a much smoother transition to a
- 1:18:23new defensive coordinator and I mean everybody's like a lodge.
- 1:18:28I'll put that on bad, what he did was terrible, he should have
- 1:18:29been fired. I have a feeling that if you go
- 1:18:33look at most coaching staffs around the country, what do you
- 1:18:37think? Brian, you think everybody's
- 1:18:38choirboys? I'd say that the scenario that
- 1:18:43played out here has probably happened on at least a third of
- 1:18:48college campuses in America. It just it is what it is.
- 1:18:53And you know, when you have it, get put out there the way it
- 1:18:59was. It definitely makes it a little
- 1:19:01more salacious. So it is what it is.
- 1:19:08But definitely one of those things that It, you know, is
- 1:19:13another red mark against Flint a.
- 1:19:15So I mean, now we come to it, man.
- 1:19:18I mean, we're building the case here and I mean, we built the
- 1:19:21case last year we built it again.
- 1:19:22This year, we need to move on. It's time, it's not.
- 1:19:28And I what I know a lot of people are like right now, right
- 1:19:31now, right now I'm fine with December and you want to know
- 1:19:34why? Brian and Trust will million
- 1:19:37dollars. He's going to do a hell of a lot
- 1:19:39for the new head coach. Building a recruiting staff,
- 1:19:42hopefully paying offensive and defensive coordinators at more
- 1:19:46top, 25 levels. But I'm done into my like, what
- 1:19:51if he win some games, if you can literally with a straight face,
- 1:19:57A straight face. Tell us, we're going to win six
- 1:20:01in a row. We're going to make the ACC
- 1:20:03Championship. We're going to go nine and three
- 1:20:05please. DM us.
- 1:20:06We will have you on Wednesday night to State your case.
- 1:20:09Yep. Because I I see a struggling
- 1:20:14with Syracuse. I see us being a grind against
- 1:20:17Georgia Tech again. The only game I see on the
- 1:20:20schedule that I feel comfortable putting the W next to without
- 1:20:23the game being played as duke. That's it, that's it.
- 1:20:29And we know you're weak, 60 years into a regime.
- 1:20:33The head man has to go. I will say this I think there
- 1:20:37are two to three guys on this staff that the next head coach
- 1:20:40should fight tooth and nail to keep.
- 1:20:43Yeah, and you know, the question is going to be obviously I think
- 1:20:47two of them will be easier or people's Smith and JC price
- 1:20:53should be ones. That are pretty easy.
- 1:20:56E to retain. If you see a spot for them in
- 1:21:00the new with the new regime regime, obviously the situation
- 1:21:04with Coach am is a little different just because he is the
- 1:21:10defensive coordinator. And when you do a break that
- 1:21:16we're talking about here, it's going to be hard to retain a
- 1:21:20young defensive coordinator because more than likely that
- 1:21:25it's not going to be Who the new guy wants to put in that place
- 1:21:30he might be willing to give him a position role and at that
- 1:21:33point you get into are able someone going to take a pay cut
- 1:21:37and a demotion in order to stay with their alma mater.
- 1:21:41And that that's a hard task for anybody.
- 1:21:44Especially with the the product that the defense is putting out
- 1:21:48this year, I think coach Hamilton's going to have some
- 1:21:52other opportunities and defensive coordinator, you know,
- 1:21:58once we move on from the Fuente regime so ugly.
- 1:22:01So that's going to be the toughest piece because I think
- 1:22:03JC and Ron are going to stay. I don't, I don't think that's
- 1:22:05going to even be a question, but the, the handpiece is the tough
- 1:22:11piece because From where we were last year to where we have.
- 1:22:15Come this year. It is light years and normally
- 1:22:20you do not see that. Normally guys who start rough,
- 1:22:25you normally don't see a guy go from the 100's into the
- 1:22:31somewhere between about 35 and 25.
- 1:22:36Usually you see where he's 100 this year.
- 1:22:39Now, we're in the 80s and now we're in the 50s.
- 1:22:43Three years later, it shows you in the adjustment.
- 1:22:46He makes really good on the Fly and I think that's a sign of a
- 1:22:51true, great defensive coordinator.
- 1:22:53So again, y'all, we've given you the arc in this is what I told
- 1:22:58Brian, and if I get lambasted for, I'll get lambasting for You
- 1:23:03can do four out of these, you can you can screw up on game day
- 1:23:09a lot. You can make bad situational
- 1:23:12calls. You can choose to go for one
- 1:23:16when you should have went for two.
- 1:23:18You can be slow with your adjustments.
- 1:23:21That's okay. One day on that Saturday night.
- 1:23:27But the other four, what really makes up how great you can be.
- 1:23:31Yep, it's true. And and what.
- 1:23:35And what do we talk? We brought up Frank Brown. and
- 1:23:42Frank, Sometimes some game days we weren't on Some of the
- 1:23:50decisions he made. We did not agree with ya. but
- 1:23:55overall, for Frank Beamer From 1993 roughly to the early part
- 1:24:02of the 2010s, everything else clicked.
- 1:24:09Everything else clue that we let guys go and he needed to let
- 1:24:12guys go. you know, even though we want him to firestein Spring
- 1:24:17a lot sooner than he did and then he brought in Laughlin, it
- 1:24:20may just want Stein spring back but He was slow to let go of
- 1:24:26friends but he did the other things.
- 1:24:28Well wear And he was producing for the majority of that time,
- 1:24:33even when he was loyal to his friends.
- 1:24:37So, you know, some of that gets a little bit of a pass because
- 1:24:40you're putting a good product out on the field, you're not
- 1:24:44seeing the ramifications of it. We didn't start seeing the
- 1:24:46ramifications of holding onto Stein spring until we started to
- 1:24:51see a dip in other areas like in recruiting.
- 1:24:54Yep. Very true man.
- 1:24:56Very true. All right, Brian before we close
- 1:25:00it out here tonight. Saturday Pickens you are going
- 1:25:05to live again. I'm back in at least, 50 50 and
- 1:25:12I went to seven and three again. Yeah, come on man, you putting
- 1:25:16some distance between me now. Hey, you know, and where it's
- 1:25:21getting words, getting you is in the games we picked against each
- 1:25:26other one and three versus three in one.
- 1:25:31You know, we got the Friday night game, right?
- 1:25:35Clemson should not be double digit favorite against.
- 1:25:37Anybody we got the gqv a game right?
- 1:25:41Even though I don't think I foresaw a 40 Burger to nothing.
- 1:25:46Yeah I thought I thought Gunner might keep it a little closer
- 1:25:49than that. Wow!
- 1:25:51What a slide. You see it?
- 1:25:58Yeah. Wow, Miami UNC.
- 1:26:02We both were wrong on Miami showed Signs of Life.
- 1:26:06Authentically defensively looked worse.
- 1:26:09You nailed the BC, NC State game, Nailed it.
- 1:26:16That's the only one male the, I bet you still nailed it.
- 1:26:19If you, you know, put some money just on that game.
- 1:26:22You have won the okey. So Texas game Texas, still not
- 1:26:25back. Okey, State looking like,
- 1:26:27potentially Bedlam, could be crazy at the end of next month,
- 1:26:31because I think okey Scopes got Iowa State left.
- 1:26:34But Iowa State wasn't what they were last year.
- 1:26:37BYU Baylor, Baylor wins that one.
- 1:26:39BYU shows that they were a fraud.
- 1:26:42Who wants Gus Malzahn to be a head coach here?
- 1:26:46Anybody Bueller Bueller? No.
- 1:26:51Absolutely doors. Blown off by Cincinnati
- 1:26:54Cincinnati. Inching closer and closer
- 1:26:59towards he say. You never touched him towards
- 1:27:05the the playoff, the Pick'em game, Utah, beat Arizona State
- 1:27:16And Tennessee Ole Miss. I'm sure you were hoping for
- 1:27:20that last drive for something to happen.
- 1:27:22By the way. Did you see the lane kiffin?
- 1:27:25Catch the water bottle? Yeah, I was impressive and it's
- 1:27:33impressive because I think there were like reporters or somebody
- 1:27:36behind that if he hadn't caught it, it would have just wiped
- 1:27:39them clean. And then Kentucky Georgia Braun.
- 1:27:44We got that one right to almost on a number.
- 1:27:47We both said something like, what 30.
- 1:27:50I think I said, 3114. I think you were like, 2810
- 1:27:56nail, that one? So, you know, overall record
- 1:28:00bronze at 35 and 37, I moved to 40 and 32 anything breaking in
- 1:28:06the last. Oh God, hour.
- 1:28:08And 30 minutes, my Braves are Trying to not it up at the 8th
- 1:28:12year. We'll see you.
