- 0:05Speaker 2: And Heidi Ho, NewsRadio 570 WKBN and Ron Verb. Welcome,
- 0:08Speaker 2: one and all, 305. It's Monday, almost the end of August, man.
- 0:12Speaker 2: Can you imagine that? It's August 24th. Canfield Fair right
- 0:16Speaker 2: around the corner. Here's the strange for you. I'm really
- 0:20Speaker 2: looking forward to the fair this year.
- 0:23Speaker 3: I don't know.
- 0:23Speaker 2: I'm just in a fair state of mind. And something
- 0:28Speaker 2: about this year's Canfield Fair I'm really looking forward to.
- 0:31Speaker 2: So that's going to be here before too long. As
- 0:34Speaker 2: I've said to you numerous times, once that comes around,
- 0:36Speaker 2: you know it is officially the end of summer. At
- 0:40Speaker 2: least it's kind of the barometer in my neck of
- 0:42Speaker 2: the woods here. Once the fair is done and over with,
- 0:45Speaker 2: the days start to get way shorter. The temperatures cool
- 0:48Speaker 2: at night. And you kind of view it as the
- 0:50Speaker 2: official end here in my neck of the woods here.
- 0:53Speaker 2: the official end of summer and the beginning of fall
- 0:55Speaker 2: and all that kind of stuff that we go through
- 0:57Speaker 2: here with the changing of the seasons, all right, in
- 1:02Speaker 2: Mahoning County. And I'm in the kingdom of Mahoning.
- 1:03Speaker 4: 330-729-9977.
- 1:04Speaker 2: We'll get you through to me this afternoon if you
- 1:05Speaker 2: want to get on board.
- 1:05Speaker 5: 330-729-9977.
- 1:05Speaker 2: Pick up the phone and give me a call.
- 1:06Speaker 4: 330-729-9977.
- 1:07Speaker 2: We'll get you through to us on NewsRadio 570 WKBN.
- 1:21Speaker 2: Many things to discuss with you here this afternoon. I'll
- 1:29Speaker 2: tell you this much. Like I say, the controversy, some
- 1:34Speaker 2: of the stuff that I get from people when they're
- 1:38Speaker 2: talking about flock cameras because they're going to be adding
- 1:42Speaker 2: flock cameras in Austintown. As a matter of fact, there
- 1:48Speaker 2: was an article here in The Vindicator. I don't know
- 1:52Speaker 2: if you still get it or not, but we do.
- 1:55Speaker 2: About Austintown clears way for flock cameras that people are
- 1:58Speaker 2: just making a big damn deal out of. And really,
- 2:01Speaker 2: I think people anymore are just, it's reached a point
- 2:05Speaker 2: of paranoia to me. I mean, it's just, sometimes it's
- 2:07Speaker 2: just ridiculous. The township took another step toward installing flock
- 2:12Speaker 2: traffic cameras. This is in Austintown. Well, the initial discussion
- 2:15Speaker 2: to use the controversial technology was made June 1st. Trustees
- 2:21Speaker 2: Monday approved application for right-of-way permits to allow camera poles
- 2:26Speaker 2: to be installed. The police chief said the township has
- 2:29Speaker 2: a three-year contract with FLOC at a cost of $ 18, 000
- 2:33Speaker 2: per year for installation, equipment, and access to the system.
- 2:39Speaker 2: All right, so it costs you $ 18, 000 a year of
- 2:41Speaker 2: your tax dollars, which is not very much for the
- 2:45Speaker 2: benefit that comes from them. Ours are not installed yet.
- 2:51Speaker 2: The chief said we're planning on getting a small number
- 2:55Speaker 2: for the main thoroughfares in and out of the township
- 2:58Speaker 2: and for egress at some of the bigger retail theft areas.
- 3:03Speaker 2: Flat cameras capture images of passing vehicles and store them
- 3:08Speaker 2: in a searchable database that member police departments can access.
- 3:12Speaker 2: Austintown will operate six of the cameras. Law enforcement should
- 3:16Speaker 2: use the data to locate vehicles missing. possibly linked to crimes,
- 3:20Speaker 2: missing people, or other proper investigations. However, in early August,
- 3:26Speaker 2: the Washington Post reported at least 50 officers nationwide have
- 3:30Speaker 2: been accused of misusing flock to spy on people, including spouses, partners,
- 3:36Speaker 2: and exes. And, you know, just as you can have
- 3:39Speaker 2: bad people in any profession that do this kind of stuff,
- 3:43Speaker 2: there's consequences to this. There are consequences if you abuse
- 3:47Speaker 2: the lease computer in the patrol car, just as there's
- 3:50Speaker 2: consequences to this kind of stuff. So you can't use
- 3:54Speaker 2: one brush to paint all cops with, all right? Under
- 3:57Speaker 2: heavy criticism for the abuse potential, Flax Safety said this
- 4:02Speaker 2: week it will shorten the default period for storing information
- 4:06Speaker 2: about vehicles from 30 days to seven days. The company did, however,
- 4:10Speaker 2: state that the police department may opt to maintain a
- 4:13Speaker 2: longer data retention period. I mean, this is, you know,
- 4:16Speaker 2: your police department trying to prevent crime and to capture criminals.
- 4:21Speaker 2: I mean, and the article goes on in the Vindicator.
- 4:24Speaker 2: It says, well, the chief said she is aware of
- 4:26Speaker 2: online criticism of the decision to use Flock. Austintown will
- 4:30Speaker 2: permit no such abuse. In my opinion, that's an officer
- 4:34Speaker 2: of questionable character, which I would agree with her on that.
- 4:38Speaker 2: That's not a police department. That's not a police department
- 4:41Speaker 2: issue unless that's your employee. I'm confident that our people
- 4:46Speaker 2: will not use it in that way. I won't tolerate it.
- 4:49Speaker 2: She said all of the Austintown police will be trained
- 4:52Speaker 2: and held to high standards. That's why we're taking our
- 4:55Speaker 2: time putting this into effect. We're working on a policy
- 4:59Speaker 2: that will control its use. Once that's in place, all
- 5:02Speaker 2: officers will have to read and sign off and be
- 5:06Speaker 2: responsible for adhering to the policy. And officers have to
- 5:10Speaker 2: view FLOC's online training and comply with the requirements and
- 5:14Speaker 2: testing and knowledge that is needed before they have access
- 5:16Speaker 2: to the system. Now, the chief said she hopes the
- 5:19Speaker 2: technology will give Austintown an advantage in solving cases, finding
- 5:24Speaker 2: missing persons, helping local neighborhoods and businesses stay safer. Well,
- 5:29Speaker 2: what's wrong with that? I mean, these people that are
- 5:31Speaker 2: just paranoid. It is just it's craziness of what I'm
- 5:35Speaker 2: hearing from these people are just paranoid about it or
- 5:37Speaker 2: vandalizing these flock cameras. It is absolute insanity. to assist
- 5:43Speaker 2: your police department, modern technology to assist your police department,
- 5:46Speaker 2: to make them more efficient. You're trying to do more
- 5:51Speaker 2: with less, quite frankly. Make them more efficient and apprehend
- 5:55Speaker 2: people that are doing things that they shouldn't be doing.
- 5:58Speaker 2: I hope that we can use them to solve crimes
- 6:00Speaker 2: that happen, narrow down suspect pools, and prove suspects were
- 6:04Speaker 2: in certain locations to have a more solid case. I
- 6:08Speaker 2: see using them mostly reactively. At this point, we don't
- 6:13Speaker 2: have the manpower and the non-directed work time to put
- 6:17Speaker 2: into chasing down someone who just comes into the township
- 6:21Speaker 2: with a known warrant. All right. But hopefully, if you
- 6:25Speaker 2: come in with a known warrant, hopefully they will get
- 6:27Speaker 2: you in time. You got a warrant out. I mean,
- 6:31Speaker 2: that means something. The chief said that the idea is
- 6:36Speaker 2: to know what vehicle they are looking for. And check
- 6:39Speaker 2: the system to see if they can identify that vehicle
- 6:42Speaker 2: and track its progress. So somebody that's just committed a
- 6:46Speaker 2: major crime or whatever, you'd be able to apprehend that person.
- 6:50Speaker 2: I don't get these people are just bellyaching about this stuff.
- 6:53Speaker 2: It is just it's really good technology. And were they
- 6:57Speaker 2: bellyaching when it went in Boardman? Were they bellyaching when
- 7:00Speaker 2: it went in Canfield? Were they bellyaching when it went
- 7:02Speaker 2: in Youngstown? You know, it's been around for quite some time.
- 7:06Speaker 2: Have you avoided those areas? Did you feel threatened when
- 7:09Speaker 2: you went through there? I mean, this is kind of ridiculous.
- 7:14Speaker 2: She said the township already makes use of their cameras
- 7:17Speaker 2: operated by neighboring and overlapping jurisdictions like Boardman, Youngstown, and
- 7:23Speaker 2: the Moaning County Sheriff's Office. We are already using cameras
- 7:27Speaker 2: from a mutual aid perspective, and we're hoping we can
- 7:30Speaker 2: now help them out as well. So it kind of
- 7:33Speaker 2: ties the area together to be able to catch some
- 7:36Speaker 2: of these vicious criminals. And who isn't for that? Departments
- 7:39Speaker 2: can grant access to their system to other departments that
- 7:43Speaker 2: have FLOC accounts. But the chief said it's entirely discretionary.
- 7:49Speaker 2: For example, the cameras that will cover State Route 46
- 7:52Speaker 2: and Interstate 80 would likely be of great help to
- 7:55Speaker 2: the Ohio State Highway Patrol and Mahoney County Sheriff's Office.
- 7:59Speaker 2: Austintown can grant or deny access to its cameras, to
- 8:02Speaker 2: any departments. What's wrong with that? We have no liability
- 8:07Speaker 2: for other departments' employees. Let's see, Township Administrator Mark D'Apolito
- 8:12Speaker 2: noted that in 2025, Flock cameras helped to locate more
- 8:15Speaker 2: than 10,000 Michelin persons, while the company's website notes that 42%
- 8:20Speaker 2: of Flock customers recovered more than half of stolen vehicles
- 8:25Speaker 2: reported in their jurisdiction. D'Apolito said Flock cameras also have
- 8:29Speaker 2: helped to exonerate people accused of crimes by clearly placing
- 8:33Speaker 2: them at a different location at the time in question.
- 8:36Speaker 2: Although this is new to the Austintown Police Department, this technology,
- 8:39Speaker 2: in other ways, has been in place at private retailers
- 8:42Speaker 2: for quite some time. He said, I think the law
- 8:45Speaker 2: is pretty clear on the topic. They're like flock cameras
- 8:48Speaker 2: I heard at Lowe's and Home Depot and Meijer and
- 8:51Speaker 2: that kind of stuff, that they use them as well.
- 8:56Speaker 2: So there you have it. We trust our law enforcement officers.
- 8:58Speaker 2: hear quite a bit, so we trust them with a
- 9:00Speaker 2: badge and a gun. We have an outstanding track record
- 9:04Speaker 2: of officers in Austintown, and this just enhances our ability
- 9:08Speaker 2: to solve crime and protect residents. So how can you
- 9:11Speaker 2: be opposed to that? Well, some of these wackos are.
- 9:18Speaker 2: DiApolito also said this type of technology produces the kind
- 9:21Speaker 2: of evidence jurors have come to expect in court cases.
- 9:27Speaker 2: The public has a lot of expectations to see some
- 9:30Speaker 2: of the evidence. So there you go. Anyway, so that
- 9:35Speaker 2: controversy continues on. And I'm telling you, and I'm serious
- 9:38Speaker 2: when I say it, it's just paranoid nuts. Well, what
- 9:41Speaker 2: if this happens? What if that happens? It's the what
- 9:43Speaker 2: if people. And it's what if, what if, what if? Well,
- 9:48Speaker 2: what if none of that happens? My what if is
- 9:50Speaker 2: what if none of that happens? And you've got to
- 9:53Speaker 2: deal with that what if, if and when it ever
- 9:56Speaker 2: does happen. I mean, so the people that are opposed
- 9:59Speaker 2: to it just seem paranoid with a bunch of what ifs.
- 10:03Speaker 2: What if this happens? What if that happens? Government surveillance
- 10:07Speaker 2: and all of this kind of nonsense. So comments about that?
- 10:11Speaker 2: Welcome here this afternoon on NewsRadio 570 WKBN. How about,
- 10:17Speaker 2: just a comment here, one other thing. How about these
- 10:19Speaker 2: Democrat socialists that are out there, and the Democrats, who
- 10:24Speaker 2: are championing when it comes to health care, Medicare for all. Now,
- 10:29Speaker 2: you're qualified for Medicare if you work and you're 65
- 10:33Speaker 2: and you pay into it all of your life. You
- 10:35Speaker 2: pay taxes, you and your employer do, all of your
- 10:38Speaker 2: life for Medicare. But you have to qualify for it
- 10:41Speaker 2: at 65. So now you have people, some of these
- 10:47Speaker 2: Democrat socialists do think, well, we should just give Medicare
- 10:51Speaker 2: to everybody. It should just be made available to everybody. Now, granted,
- 10:57Speaker 2: the current Medicare system has some financial problems in it,
- 11:00Speaker 2: and it's just there for senior citizens. And it has
- 11:03Speaker 2: some financial issues. Medicare is a great insurance plan, and
- 11:10Speaker 2: it does have financial problems, serious financial problems. But these
- 11:15Speaker 2: people that want to expand it to everybody, I just
- 11:20Speaker 2: shake my head and say, once again, more government giveaways
- 11:23Speaker 2: that they want to just give this to everybody. And
- 11:26Speaker 2: in turn, we're a country $ 40 trillion in debt. It
- 11:29Speaker 2: just doesn't make any sense. All right. Enough yakking, Ron.
- 11:33Speaker 2: Take some calls.
- 11:34Speaker 6: All right.
- 11:34Speaker 7: 330-729-9977.
- 11:34Speaker 2: You're on air.
- 11:35Speaker 8: Hey, Ron.
- 11:35Speaker 2: Back to speeding cameras.
- 11:40Speaker 9: I understand.
- 11:41Speaker 2: Hang on one second before you go any further. I
- 11:47Speaker 2: want to clarify something. You said something on Friday's show,
- 11:50Speaker 2: and I don't want you to repeat it, that was
- 11:51Speaker 2: blatantly false and untrue about somebody that you claimed had
- 11:57Speaker 2: passed away and they did not. Oh, I'm sorry. I'm sorry.
- 12:02Speaker 10: No, no, no.
- 12:03Speaker 2: I do not want you to talk about it again.
- 12:05Speaker 2: But that information that you put on the air was
- 12:08Speaker 2: inaccurate and wrong. No, I don't want you to say
- 12:13Speaker 2: any more. But it caused a lot of discomfort for
- 12:17Speaker 2: a number of people. So do not ever do that again.
- 12:22Speaker 11: No, it came across your airwaves. That's why I mentioned it.
- 12:26Speaker 2: Do not ever do that again because that was inaccurate information.
- 12:29Speaker 11: It wasn't mine.
- 12:31Speaker 2: Well, that's where I heard it from.
- 12:32Speaker 11: It was on your airway.
- 12:34Speaker 2: You didn't hear it on mine, but I heard it
- 12:38Speaker 2: out of your mouth.
- 12:38Speaker 11: All right.
- 12:39Speaker 2: Now go ahead with your comments.
- 12:41Speaker 11: Oh, the speed cameras.
- 12:44Speaker 12: Yes.
- 12:45Speaker 11: Don't always trust them.
- 12:47Speaker 2: Speed cameras and flock cameras are two different things, just
- 12:50Speaker 2: so we know.
- 12:51Speaker 11: But you have to study it because they photographed my truck. supposedly,
- 12:58Speaker 11: but it wasn't my truck. It was similar, but I
- 13:02Speaker 11: could understand and see that it wasn't the same design
- 13:09Speaker 11: of that model. And I had a temporary tag, like
- 13:13Speaker 11: a 30-day, and it had like 10 digits. Well, the
- 13:16Speaker 11: one digit was blurred, but the machine assumed that it
- 13:22Speaker 11: was my tag. And they just threw me a ticket,
- 13:28Speaker 11: and I fought it, and I called the office, and
- 13:32Speaker 11: we got it all cleared up. But those technologies are
- 13:36Speaker 11: not always correct.
- 13:38Speaker 2: Errors can happen. But here's the rub on even these
- 13:44Speaker 2: speed cameras. And flock cameras are not speed cameras. It's
- 13:47Speaker 2: a whole separate thing. But when you're talking about these
- 13:50Speaker 2: traffic cameras that issue these tickets, here's the reality. I mean,
- 13:56Speaker 2: do they use them for money-making purposes? Absolutely. However– I'll
- 14:01Speaker 2: be the first to say they are effective in many
- 14:04Speaker 2: ways of slowing people down. And when people do call
- 14:07Speaker 2: and say, you know, as I tell them, well, you
- 14:09Speaker 2: don't really have to pay it. And I go through
- 14:12Speaker 2: all of that with folks. But the reality is I
- 14:15Speaker 2: always say the same thing to them. You know it's there.
- 14:18Speaker 2: Slow down. Obviously, obviously, you're speeding. And you need to
- 14:24Speaker 2: slow down. That's why, not in your case, but that's
- 14:27Speaker 2: why you got the tickets. No, I did.
- 14:31Speaker 13: I fought it.
- 14:31Speaker 4: I know.
- 14:32Speaker 2: I'm not talking about you.
- 14:33Speaker 11: That wasn't my tag.
- 14:34Speaker 2: I just said that. Oh, for the love of God.
- 14:38Speaker 2: I just said that, all right? Pay attention. So the
- 14:42Speaker 2: reality is they use them for money-making purposes, but here's
- 14:45Speaker 2: the reality. They are effective. where they are placed in
- 14:50Speaker 2: slowing people down once they know that they're there. They
- 14:52Speaker 2: do slow people down even though they're there for the
- 14:55Speaker 2: wrong purposes.
- 14:56Speaker 11: Exactly. Like Ronald Reagan said, trust but verify. He's brilliant.
- 15:01Speaker 11: Ronald Reagan was brilliant. And I trusted but verified, and
- 15:06Speaker 11: I was right. They were wrong. They didn't say I
- 15:10Speaker 11: had to pay the ticket because I was right. I
- 15:13Speaker 11: showed them.
- 15:14Speaker 2: Great, great, great. We don't care now. We're done with that.
- 15:18Speaker 9: Okay.
- 15:18Speaker 2: I'm not here to try your case.
- 15:22Speaker 11: So I guess I was talking about that, but now
- 15:26Speaker 11: I lost my train of thought. What else do you
- 15:28Speaker 11: want to talk about?
- 15:29Speaker 2: Oh, hang on.
- 15:31Speaker 11: Do you want to ask me about my day today?
- 15:34Speaker 8: No.
- 15:35Speaker 2: You're on the air.
- 15:37Speaker 14: Yeah, Ron.
- 15:39Speaker 15: Yeah, the flock cameras, obviously there's some people out there
- 15:43Speaker 15: that don't know a whole lot about them. Then you
- 15:44Speaker 15: can't tell the difference between a speed camera and a
- 15:47Speaker 15: flock camera, and that's fine. But you're right on the
- 15:52Speaker 15: mark with these things. Number one, a big difference between
- 15:55Speaker 15: the two is there's no money made on flock cameras
- 15:58Speaker 15: like speed cameras.
- 16:00Speaker 4: And it's undoubted.
- 16:02Speaker 15: That they are a valuable law enforcement tool. We've seen
- 16:06Speaker 15: it locally here, in solving serious crimes, locating missing persons,
- 16:11Speaker 15: and across the country. if it's misused by officers or anyone,
- 16:18Speaker 15: hold them accountable, punish them, fire them, prosecute them, do
- 16:23Speaker 15: whatever you're.
- 16:23Speaker 4: Going to do with them.
- 16:24Speaker 2: Just like you would on the leads computer, which you
- 16:27Speaker 2: would do.
- 16:28Speaker 5: Absolutely.
- 16:28Speaker 4: Exactly.
- 16:29Speaker 15: That's been around for years. So you don't ban the
- 16:32Speaker 15: tool or throw the tool out.
- 16:34Speaker 4: Because someone misuses it. That'd be like..
- 16:37Speaker 15: Taking hammers and, you know, throwing them all out because
- 16:40Speaker 15: someone takes one and busts the window open to break
- 16:42Speaker 15: into the house. You take all the hammers off the carpenters.
- 16:45Speaker 15: It's just address the problem when it arises. And then
- 16:48Speaker 15: the only other issue that comes up.
- 16:53Speaker 2: Stand by for one second. Let me do my break.
- 16:54Speaker 2: I want to come back to you. Sounds like an
- 16:56Speaker 2: intelligent caller on the end of my line. News Radio
- 16:59Speaker 2: 570 WKBN and Ron Furb, 322 in the afternoon. It's
- 17:02Speaker 2: a good-looking Monday, 73 degrees.
- 17:07Speaker 5: Mike Rowe here with another random fact. Those cracks on
- 17:10Speaker 5: your walls aren't just cosmetic. They could mean your home
- 17:14Speaker 5: is sinking. Whether it's drywall cracks, exterior cracks, or sticking
- 17:18Speaker 5: doors or windows, do yourself a favor and call a
- 17:21Speaker 5: groundworks company. I spent some time working with these guys,
- 17:24Speaker 5: and they're the real deal. deal their people are trained
- 17:26Speaker 5: and certified to stabilize your foundation schedule a free inspection
- 17:31Speaker 5: with ohio basement authority a groundworks company licensed in all
- 17:35Speaker 5: states where work is performed see website for.
- 17:36Speaker 16: Detail transform your bathroom.
- 17:38Speaker 1: Use weather and talk station 570 wkbn all.
- 17:43Speaker 2: Right you are making some great points go ahead caller.
- 17:47Speaker 15: Aside from it being misused, the other issue that you
- 17:50Speaker 15: here brought up is privacy. It's an invasion of privacy,
- 17:54Speaker 15: and the government's tracking your car from point A to
- 17:58Speaker 15: point B, and they know exactly where you're at. For
- 18:02Speaker 15: many of the... for many of these people that argue
- 18:05Speaker 15: about that, and to some extent I can understand the privacy,
- 18:09Speaker 15: we need to be careful how that data is used.
- 18:13Speaker 15: But many of these same people that don't want their
- 18:15Speaker 15: car photographed with the license plate as they enter these communities,
- 18:22Speaker 15: they post their entire lives online. I mean, they'll go
- 18:27Speaker 15: on social media and they'll post the most private and
- 18:31Speaker 15: personal things related to their life for anyone to see,
- 18:34Speaker 15: you know? So, I mean, whether it's pictures of children, videos,
- 18:40Speaker 15: you know, birthdays, weddings, I mean, some of the most,
- 18:44Speaker 15: I mean, you've, you've probably seen it. I mean, The
- 18:47Speaker 15: amount of information that people put out there on social
- 18:51Speaker 15: media for anyone to see and then take, and believe me,
- 18:56Speaker 15: there are people out there that will victimize others based
- 19:01Speaker 15: on information they can get, whether it's going on vacation,
- 19:05Speaker 15: they'll post pictures about going on vacation, and then you know,
- 19:08Speaker 15: before they go on vacation or while they're on vacation,
- 19:11Speaker 15: and then they're surprised their house is burglarized, or they'll
- 19:13Speaker 15: post pictures of their children and where they go to school,
- 19:18Speaker 15: take pictures of their food while they're sitting in a
- 19:20Speaker 15: restaurant somewhere.
- 19:20Speaker 9: I mean..
- 19:22Speaker 15: No one needs to track these people. I think that
- 19:25Speaker 15: was one of the things Alcatrona, one of the things
- 19:27Speaker 15: I read about his criticism is that, you know, they
- 19:30Speaker 15: can take this data and they can create a timeline
- 19:33Speaker 15: of where you were and what you were doing and
- 19:36Speaker 15: help people do that now voluntarily. I mean, it posted
- 19:39Speaker 15: out there for anyone to see. So I don't think
- 19:43Speaker 15: either of the arguments is very good.
- 19:46Speaker 12: It is a tool.
- 19:47Speaker 15: Let law enforcement use it effectively.
- 19:50Speaker 12: Like they've been doing.
- 19:51Speaker 2: Can you imagine, though, just take an example of somebody
- 19:54Speaker 2: commits murder, let's just say in Pennsylvania, or some... So
- 19:58Speaker 2: who cares? New Jersey, whatever. And there's... I'm going to
- 20:02Speaker 2: use some technical term, caller. There's a bolo out, all right?
- 20:05Speaker 2: It's technical police lingo. And anyway, you get them coming
- 20:11Speaker 2: into your community, and that flock camera can identify the
- 20:14Speaker 2: fact that that person fleeing from the area where he
- 20:17Speaker 2: just killed his family, perhaps, is in your community.
- 20:21Speaker 15: And why would you not want your local law enforcement.
- 20:25Speaker 4: To know that?
- 20:25Speaker 2: Absolutely.
- 20:27Speaker 4: Absolutely.
- 20:28Speaker 17: I mean, I..
- 20:29Speaker 15: You know, I think people just, you know, I don't know.
- 20:32Speaker 15: I don't understand the resistance to it. A lot of
- 20:34Speaker 15: times people just, I don't know what it is.
- 20:38Speaker 10: But you're absolutely right.
- 20:40Speaker 2: Let's say you rob a bank and you're taking off
- 20:43Speaker 2: and well, we don't know which direction you went, but
- 20:46Speaker 2: the flat camera can then pick up your car or
- 20:49Speaker 2: your license plates. And we have a better idea of
- 20:52Speaker 2: knowing what route you took to get away and to
- 20:55Speaker 2: catch you.
- 20:56Speaker 15: Well, absolutely, and it's been used over and over and
- 21:00Speaker 15: over again for law enforcement. I mean, you may have
- 21:03Speaker 15: as little as a serious crime occurs, and all you
- 21:07Speaker 15: have is the person that committed the crime fled in
- 21:10Speaker 15: a red pickup truck. Well, you can— if it's in an
- 21:13Speaker 15: area where there's flock cameras— and the other thing is people
- 21:15Speaker 15: are worried about these flock cameras that only law enforcement
- 21:19Speaker 15: can access for law enforcement reasons— when they're being photographed
- 21:24Speaker 15: and videoed just about anywhere they go in public. Gas
- 21:28Speaker 15: stations have video cameras. Ring doorbells are everywhere. And you
- 21:33Speaker 15: can barely go anywhere. And that information, again, is not
- 21:36Speaker 15: just accessible to law enforcement for law enforcement purposes. It's
- 21:41Speaker 15: it's out there for everybody. And the stuff that people
- 21:45Speaker 15: put on social media, the government doesn't need to track them.
- 21:49Speaker 15: They're posting live when they're sitting in a restaurant somewhere eating,
- 21:52Speaker 15: taking pictures of their food or their kids or, you know,
- 21:54Speaker 15: it's just crazy. So the privacy, you know, I can
- 21:58Speaker 15: understand it on a basic level.
- 22:00Speaker 4: But again, as long as.
- 22:01Speaker 15: The guardrails and the policies and the procedures are in
- 22:04Speaker 15: place at the local police department's I believe they're in place.
- 22:11Speaker 15: And if there's a problem, address.
- 22:16Speaker 18: It.
- 22:16Speaker 2: There's no doubt it makes your community a safer place.
- 22:19Speaker 2: It's technology to make an officer more efficient in this
- 22:22Speaker 2: day and age of where we have less officers because
- 22:24Speaker 2: of the finances involved. So, I mean, I just think
- 22:29Speaker 2: it's paranoia that a lot of these people get as
- 22:31Speaker 2: a result of it. Have you guys ever noticed, like,
- 22:34Speaker 2: when they get somebody shoplifting, these pictures that these stores have,
- 22:37Speaker 2: are perfect, and you'll see it posted on Facebook, and
- 22:41Speaker 2: it's like, that's how you catch shoplifters. You can identify
- 22:44Speaker 2: the person right there, and the cops get them as
- 22:46Speaker 2: they should. All right, thank you for your insight. I
- 22:49Speaker 2: appreciate your time. NewsRadio 570, WKVN, and Ron Verbin. More
- 22:54Speaker 2: calls straight ahead. It's 3.30, Ron Verbin, Kingdom of Moaning.

- 23:02Speaker 20: The owner of the San Francisco 49ers arrested over the
- 23:05Speaker 20: weekend by the Mahoning Valley Human Trafficking Task Force on
- 23:09Speaker 20: a charge of engaging in prostitution. Jed Yorick entered a
- 23:13Speaker 20: no contest plea this morning to reduce charges of disorderly
- 23:16Speaker 20: conduct and possessing criminal tools. He was sentenced to one
- 23:20Speaker 20: day in jail and fined $ 1, 100. A death row inmate
- 23:23Speaker 20: is awaiting word on his request for a pardon. Tyrone
- 23:27Speaker 20: Noling argued his case at a clemency hearing last week

- 23:37Speaker 20: County couple. An tentative agreement has been reached between Cleveland

- 23:46Speaker 20: ratification vote will be held on Wednesday. The union had
- 23:50Speaker 20: planned to strike at noon today. I'm Brian Engel.

- 24:01Speaker 10: Free never sounded so good.
- 24:03Speaker 19: A to Z dependable.
- 24:05Speaker 1: Now, Ron Verb on NewsRadio 570 WKBN. Back to NewsRadio
- 24:09Speaker 1: 570 WKBN. And Ron Verb, welcome.
- 24:11Speaker 4: 335.
- 24:11Speaker 2: Gorgeous looking Monday afternoon. 73 degrees. And you're on air.
- 24:13Speaker 12: Hello, Ron.
- 24:22Speaker 2: Yes, sir.
- 24:23Speaker 4: Hey, I am not one bit concerned about police misusing
- 24:29Speaker 4: the flock cameras.
- 24:30Speaker 14: Not at all.
- 24:32Speaker 4: They're all 100%, not 100%, but all, I'm sure, trustworthy individuals.
- 24:39Speaker 4: Why would they abuse it? What I am concerned about
- 24:42Speaker 4: is the government eventually abusing it. Does that make any
- 24:47Speaker 4: sense to you?
- 24:49Speaker 2: Yes, I think being concerned about abuse of anything is
- 24:55Speaker 2: not a bad thing. It's not a bad thing. You
- 24:59Speaker 2: want to.
- 24:59Speaker 4: Complain about the what if, what if? Well, the what
- 25:03Speaker 4: ifs happen. Pandemic happen. Terrorist attacks happen.
- 25:08Speaker 14: What about then?
- 25:09Speaker 4: Why wouldn't they, instead of six cameras in 10 years
- 25:13Speaker 4: from now, there's 600 cameras and one on every street
- 25:16Speaker 4: corner and it Squeals on you for being outside of
- 25:19Speaker 4: your house during a lockdown and you have an 8
- 25:22Speaker 4: o'clock curfew. And government overreach. Government overreach.
- 25:27Speaker 2: Here's my answer to you on that. This is a
- 25:30Speaker 2: local level. This is your local elected officials, your local trustees,
- 25:35Speaker 2: that you have the power to vote in and vote
- 25:37Speaker 2: out of office if you sense that need. what you
- 25:41Speaker 2: would consider to be abuse or police state. But in
- 25:44Speaker 2: the meantime, when that's not the case, then it does
- 25:47Speaker 2: make your officers more efficient and your community a safer place.
- 25:52Speaker 2: So we can what if a million things. What if
- 25:56Speaker 2: I do a bypass operation on you and you die? Because, well,
- 26:01Speaker 2: it's a very real possibility. But more people will live
- 26:04Speaker 2: and survive and be better off than die. Sometimes you
- 26:07Speaker 2: weigh the risk of things in life.
- 26:11Speaker 4: Also, I wasn't near as concerned about flock cameras at all.
- 26:15Speaker 4: It never even crossed my mind until all the data
- 26:17Speaker 4: centers are going in.
- 26:18Speaker 2: Well, then AI..
- 26:19Speaker 10: No, no, no.
- 26:20Speaker 4: The search for information from some of the tech moguls
- 26:26Speaker 4: or whatever, when... the government decides they're going to sell
- 26:32Speaker 4: the information from the flock cameras or it's just going
- 26:34Speaker 4: to go straight into the data centers. You say that, well,
- 26:37Speaker 4: the police don't have time to watch every move you're making.
- 26:40Speaker 4: They don't care what you're doing. But if all that
- 26:43Speaker 4: data is just getting stored in these data centers, that's
- 26:50Speaker 4: tracking me from one end of the town to the
- 26:52Speaker 4: other day after day after day knowing what I'm doing
- 26:54Speaker 4: is none of their business.
- 26:57Speaker 2: Well, listen, I don't know that it's going to be
- 27:00Speaker 2: tracked into Google for you. Let's be realistic. I mean,
- 27:06Speaker 2: I don't think that's a worry that you have to have. But,
- 27:09Speaker 2: you know, if you use your phone, everything you do
- 27:11Speaker 2: is already... If you Google something, you'll get an ad
- 27:15Speaker 2: for it on your phone.
- 27:17Speaker 9: Oh, yeah.
- 27:18Speaker 4: I understand that. It's disturbing as well.
- 27:21Speaker 2: Have you stopped using a phone?
- 27:23Speaker 4: I volunteer to use Google because it's convenient, and that's
- 27:26Speaker 4: my fault. That's everybody's fault for doing it.
- 27:29Speaker 2: Right.
- 27:30Speaker 4: But if this is involuntary, we don't know what's going
- 27:34Speaker 4: to happen. And I'm looking out for... My kids, my grandkids,
- 27:38Speaker 4: your kids, your grandkids, what is this country going to
- 27:41Speaker 4: be when it is a police state? If China takes over, whatever.
- 27:47Speaker 4: You know what I mean?
- 27:47Speaker 2: Well, let's hope China doesn't take over. Let's start.
- 27:52Speaker 4: But once these cameras are in place, there's no taking
- 27:56Speaker 4: them back. That's why I call it a slippery slope.
- 27:58Speaker 2: Well, I don't know that they're still there. They're there.
- 28:01Speaker 2: I don't know that they're still taking it back.
- 28:03Speaker 4: Get used to them. This accepts the fact that you're
- 28:07Speaker 4: under surveillance all the time. Maybe they'll be like China
- 28:09Speaker 4: and they'll give you a little bonus points and social
- 28:12Speaker 4: credits for being a good Samaritan and not going out
- 28:18Speaker 4: after 10 o'clock at night like is suggested by the
- 28:21Speaker 4: government or something like that.
- 28:23Speaker 17: You may be a model citizen.
- 28:25Speaker 4: And get more privileges.
- 28:27Speaker 2: Hypothetical, so. All right. Thank you. Appreciate it. Once again,
- 28:31Speaker 2: it's hypotheticals. This is what I fear. Well, this is,
- 28:37Speaker 2: it's just interesting that it's all hypothetical stuff. So somehow
- 28:45Speaker 2: it's okay for everyone else to have these cameras, but
- 28:49Speaker 2: for your police department, I mean, you know, your police
- 28:52Speaker 2: department could be sitting on the highway monitoring the speed
- 28:56Speaker 2: of everybody coming down the road with a radar unit.
- 29:01Speaker 2: Looking for somebody that's going too fast because it's not
- 29:05Speaker 2: safe and writes him a ticket. Isn't that, I mean,
- 29:12Speaker 2: is there something wrong with that? I mean, the old cliche,
- 29:18Speaker 2: people hate the cops till they need them, is absolutely true.
- 29:23Speaker 2: And you've probably seen it over the years or watched
- 29:26Speaker 2: it happen over the years. People that start trouble and
- 29:29Speaker 2: start fights, and they start it with the wrong person.
- 29:32Speaker 2: You know, the person who thinks they're tough and starts
- 29:35Speaker 2: a fight with somebody, and that person that starts the
- 29:38Speaker 2: fight ends up getting the crap beat up. of them
- 29:40Speaker 2: by the person they started it with. What's the first
- 29:43Speaker 2: thing the person does that started the fight? Call the cops.
- 29:46Speaker 2: They want the cops to get there when they started it.
- 29:49Speaker 2: I mean, you know, it's overwhelming, the situation that's... That
- 29:59Speaker 2: we're up against here. There's a lot of scoundrels in society.
- 30:05Speaker 2: Somebody steals your car, wouldn't you be grateful that it
- 30:09Speaker 2: can be found? Somebody robs your house, wouldn't you be
- 30:14Speaker 2: grateful if we can find them? There's a lot of reasons.
- 30:22Speaker 2: As one gentleman said, it's just a tool. As there
- 30:27Speaker 2: are many tools available. Out there, why do you think
- 30:30Speaker 2: all these stores that you come in have cameras? You're
- 30:34Speaker 2: not a shoplifter. They don't need to have them all.
- 30:37Speaker 2: But they're there for the people that do shoplift to
- 30:39Speaker 2: try to be able to stay in business. Why do
- 30:41Speaker 2: you think they have all the cameras in the parking lots?
- 30:47Speaker 2: Including flock cameras at some of these places. Why do
- 30:50Speaker 2: you think they have those? Where people have them on
- 30:54Speaker 2: their house. But everyone's always, oh, what if the government
- 31:00Speaker 2: abuses it? Well, what if they don't? What if they don't?
- 31:07Speaker 2: You're on air.
- 31:09Speaker 22: Good afternoon, buddy. How you doing?
- 31:11Speaker 2: I am well. How about yourself?
- 31:13Speaker 9: Oh, okay.
- 31:14Speaker 22: I'm just going to make a couple comments.
- 31:16Speaker 2: All right.
- 31:17Speaker 22: For one thing about the cameras, Ron, if you didn't
- 31:21Speaker 22: do nothing, what are you worried about?
- 31:24Speaker 2: I'm not in the least bit worried about it. You
- 31:25Speaker 2: got them in Youngstown now.
- 31:28Speaker 17: Right.
- 31:28Speaker 22: Well, we got them in Youngstown. Plus, we're getting free
- 31:31Speaker 22: door cameras if you want them in Youngstown.
- 31:34Speaker 2: Even better.
- 31:35Speaker 22: They just assault them on almost everybody on the street.
- 31:38Speaker 22: I didn't get one, but..
- 31:40Speaker 2: What, a ring camera or a different kind?
- 31:42Speaker 22: A ring camera that you, you know, set your phone
- 31:44Speaker 22: up with, stuff like that.
- 31:45Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 31:47Speaker 2: So who handed those out?
- 31:49Speaker 22: Youngstown. The people are giving away to free houses.
- 31:55Speaker 2: Oh, okay.
- 31:55Speaker 4: Developments.
- 31:56Speaker 22: By the way, that's about ready to go over here.
- 31:58Speaker 22: I learned how to build a house, Ron.
- 32:00Speaker 4: Amazing.
- 32:01Speaker 22: I sat there and watched them put that house up,
- 32:03Speaker 22: and it's amazing what people can do.
- 32:06Speaker 2: On what street?
- 32:08Speaker 22: My street.
- 32:08Speaker 2: What street, though?
- 32:10Speaker 22: Chattanooga.
- 32:11Speaker 2: Okay, and they built how many new homes?
- 32:13Speaker 22: There's about three going up around here.
- 32:16Speaker 4: They're beautiful.
- 32:17Speaker 22: They're well-made. These guys are organized.
- 32:19Speaker 4: My God, how they put that up.
- 32:21Speaker 22: They've still got a little bit of work to do,
- 32:22Speaker 22: but it's a beautiful house. Now, on the one that's
- 32:25Speaker 22: on my street, kind of don't fit the rest of
- 32:27Speaker 22: the houses.
- 32:28Speaker 2: Because they're new and nice.
- 32:30Speaker 22: Oh, they're very, very nice.
- 32:32Speaker 4: And I was amazed.
- 32:33Speaker 22: I never watched a house being built from ground, you know,
- 32:36Speaker 22: breaking the ground and putting the concrete in. And they
- 32:40Speaker 22: were so organized, didn't mess up the streets, nothing.
- 32:43Speaker 2: Now, did they tear houses down and put those there,
- 32:46Speaker 2: or were they vacant lots?
- 32:49Speaker 22: Well, this one across the street to me actually burnt down.
- 32:52Speaker 6: And they..
- 32:53Speaker 22: You know, tore it down. But, yeah, they're tearing the
- 32:57Speaker 22: houses down, and they're putting new houses up. But whoever
- 33:02Speaker 22: gets this house is going to get a heck of
- 33:03Speaker 22: a nice house. I mean, it's going to be furnished.
- 33:05Speaker 22: I mean, not furnished, but all the appliances in there
- 33:07Speaker 22: and all that other stuff.
- 33:08Speaker 2: Yeah, but here's the part that disturbs me about it.
- 33:13Speaker 2: Let's say that house costs $ 300, 000 to build just as
- 33:16Speaker 2: a ballpark.
- 33:17Speaker 12: Right.
- 33:18Speaker 2: And they sell it to the person for $ 180, 000.
- 33:22Speaker 22: That's about right.
- 33:23Speaker 2: All right. So when did it become the job of
- 33:26Speaker 2: the taxpayer to supplement $ 120, 000 of the cost of building
- 33:31Speaker 2: a new home for somebody to buy? I mean, I
- 33:34Speaker 2: just scratch my head and say, well, wait a minute.
- 33:36Speaker 2: When I built Verb Manor, established 1996, guess who paid
- 33:41Speaker 2: for it?
- 33:43Speaker 4: You.
- 33:43Speaker 2: All of us.
- 33:44Speaker 22: And your wife.
- 33:44Speaker 2: Yeah, all of us. They didn't come to me and say, well,
- 33:48Speaker 2: you pay this much and somebody else will pay this much. No,
- 33:52Speaker 2: you paid for the whole thing. I don't understand why
- 33:55Speaker 2: when it become the taxpayers, because all this money is
- 33:58Speaker 2: taxpayers money. I don't care if what you want to say,
- 34:01Speaker 2: if it's a grant, if it's whatever it is, it's
- 34:04Speaker 2: still money taken from the working person. Well, why are
- 34:08Speaker 2: we taking money from a working person to say you
- 34:11Speaker 2: buy a brand-new home that was just built in Youngstown,
- 34:14Speaker 2: but you won't pay the price of what it costs
- 34:16Speaker 2: to build, but we're going to require you to live
- 34:18Speaker 2: there for five years?
- 34:19Speaker 22: Well, they get a 15-year tax abatement, too. They don't
- 34:23Speaker 22: pay taxes to the city of Youngstown for 15 years.
- 34:27Speaker 22: But there are attachments to this. I mean, you can't–
- 34:33Speaker 22: the way I understand it, if you try to sell it,
- 34:35Speaker 22: you've got to sell it for what you paid for it.
- 34:38Speaker 22: You can't make a profit on it. You've got to
- 34:39Speaker 22: give somebody that's in that program a shot to buy it.
- 34:43Speaker 22: And it goes through a loan company. You've got to
- 34:44Speaker 22: go to a class to learn how to, you know,
- 34:47Speaker 22: take care of a household. And it goes through, oh, God,
- 34:52Speaker 22: that's through the credit union. I can't think of it
- 34:54Speaker 22: right now. But they've got a bundle of the art
- 34:57Speaker 22: money to finance this, and they're doing the financing on it.
- 35:03Speaker 22: That's how they're getting them.
- 35:05Speaker 2: I hope 10 years from now they're not, how do
- 35:10Speaker 2: you put it, dilapidated disasters that they're taking care of.
- 35:16Speaker 2: But my basic complaint with it, and I have no problem,
- 35:19Speaker 2: my only complaint is when did it become taxpayers? When
- 35:23Speaker 2: did this become part of the taxpayers to subsidize building
- 35:26Speaker 2: new homes for somebody?
- 35:28Speaker 22: Now, Youngstown, Ron, just got a million-dollar grant to tear
- 35:31Speaker 22: down houses, put houses, just to look where they can
- 35:36Speaker 22: put houses at. They got a million bucks for that
- 35:38Speaker 22: all over the city. I guess that guy wants to
- 35:41Speaker 22: build 400 of them, from what I understand.
- 35:44Speaker 2: Well, that's the group that fixes up houses.
- 35:49Speaker 4: And all that. Right.
- 35:56Speaker 22: That's the whole program. Why anybody would want to do that?
- 35:59Speaker 2: Well, you did.
- 36:00Speaker 22: Well, Ron, that was 20 years ago.
- 36:05Speaker 2: And look at the great service you've gotten.
- 36:07Speaker 22: Yeah, oh, great, yeah. I'm still waiting to get the driveway,
- 36:11Speaker 22: I mean, road plowed.
- 36:14Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 36:15Speaker 22: I'm still waiting for that.
- 36:17Speaker 17: Yeah.
- 36:18Speaker 22: They might come up sometime next year maybe. They were
- 36:21Speaker 22: here once. You know, they plowed it.
- 36:25Speaker 2: Yeah, well, it's interesting. I mean, like when I never
- 36:30Speaker 2: heard of the free ring doorbells being handed out in Youngstown.
- 36:33Speaker 22: Oh, yeah, all the neighbors got in on that action.
- 36:36Speaker 22: Some of them by their own, though. I mean, I
- 36:38Speaker 22: don't know what kind they are. I don't really know.
- 36:40Speaker 22: The breaker bar from when I was working on cars
- 36:44Speaker 22: is my cooler. So that's what I use if I
- 36:49Speaker 22: need something.
- 36:50Speaker 2: All right, Tiger, good hearing your voice. Nice hearing it.
- 36:52Speaker 4: You too, man.
- 36:53Speaker 2: All right, you're on the air.
- 36:56Speaker 17: Hey, good afternoon.
- 36:57Speaker 14: You know, it's interesting.
- 36:59Speaker 23: You started off the show with two really good topics,
- 37:02Speaker 23: with the flock cameras and with the $ 40 trillion in debt.
- 37:06Speaker 23: If we take the flock cameras, the debate seems like
- 37:10Speaker 23: it is, why worry about further degradation of privacy, seeing
- 37:15Speaker 23: how it's already been degraded with our phones, with you
- 37:18Speaker 23: walk into Walmart, other towns already have them. So what's
- 37:22Speaker 23: the big deal if we continue to degrade privacy? But
- 37:24Speaker 23: if we counterimpose that on the financial side, on $ 40 trillion,
- 37:29Speaker 23: we could say the same thing.
- 37:32Speaker 2: What if?
- 37:32Speaker 23: Let's not worry about the what ifs. Let's just let
- 37:35Speaker 23: the country spend another $ 40 trillion to take us to
- 37:38Speaker 23: $ 80 trillion. And let's just keep this government growing and
- 37:41Speaker 23: getting bigger and.
- 37:41Speaker 4: Bigger and bigger.
- 37:43Speaker 2: Well, first of all, as the court said, you're out
- 37:45Speaker 2: in public. This idea of privacy is ridiculous. You're in public.
- 37:50Speaker 2: No different than if I have a ring doorbell camera
- 37:53Speaker 2: that catches you driving around on the street. You are
- 37:57Speaker 2: in public. You're in public when you're driving down the road.
- 38:02Speaker 2: This idea that you've got this cocoon of privacy is ridiculous.
- 38:07Speaker 19: Except it's in the Constitution.
- 38:10Speaker 2: No, that isn't in the Constitution in that sense. It's
- 38:14Speaker 2: your belief that these cameras violate that. However, these cameras
- 38:19Speaker 2: are not necessarily new to Austintown, but they've been around.
- 38:23Speaker 2: What court cases have they lost since you have, I forget,
- 38:28Speaker 2: what law school did you attend?
- 38:31Speaker 4: Oh, I'm sorry. I didn't go to a communication major.
- 38:35Speaker 23: I just got a professional engineering license. I didn't talk
- 38:37Speaker 23: in front of a microphone with a clown nose on
- 38:39Speaker 23: for 40 years.
- 38:40Speaker 2: Oh, that's all right. You can be educated.
- 38:43Speaker 9: You want to compare educations, bud?
- 38:45Speaker 23: You go first.
- 38:46Speaker 9: Let's compare resumes.
- 38:48Speaker 23: I've listened to you be a clown boy on radio
- 38:50Speaker 23: for 40-some years.
- 38:51Speaker 9: So go ahead.
- 38:52Speaker 2: Yeah, but you listen for 40-something years, and all you
- 38:56Speaker 2: can stoop to is try to insult me because you
- 39:00Speaker 2: don't know the answer to it, do you?
- 39:02Speaker 14: You've hung up.
- 39:03Speaker 23: On me multiple times and called me an idiot.
- 39:06Speaker 2: And you know what? So let's talk about that. Just
- 39:09Speaker 2: based on how you're behaving now, I think I'm going
- 39:11Speaker 2: to hang up on you again and call you an idiot.
- 39:13Speaker 2: You're on the air.
- 39:15Speaker 17: Hey, Robyn.
- 39:16Speaker 24: Hey, I got something about the flock cameras. This is
- 39:20Speaker 24: my opinion, I guess, on how I'm going to govern
- 39:22Speaker 24: myself and how I believe about this. It's just, you know,
- 39:26Speaker 24: Christian principles... I don't believe man is inherently good.
- 39:28Speaker 17: I believe man is inherently bad.
- 39:31Speaker 24: I think anything that is designed for good is going
- 39:33Speaker 24: to ultimately get used for bad. The big thing that
- 39:37Speaker 24: bothers me is who has control of these is the
- 39:39Speaker 24: government versus you're talking about the public is out there
- 39:43Speaker 24: and you're in the public and this is all, you're
- 39:44Speaker 24: on this camera, you're on that one, but the government
- 39:46Speaker 24: doesn't have control of that. Now, can they get it? Yeah,
- 39:49Speaker 24: they can subpoena or something like that, I guess. And
- 39:53Speaker 24: so my question is, do we give up these rights?
- 39:56Speaker 24: I'm working from a principled basis. I don't want to
- 40:00Speaker 24: work on a circumstance basis. Do we give up these rights?
- 40:03Speaker 17: To govern the cricket.
- 40:05Speaker 24: And I don't want to do that because I feel
- 40:07Speaker 24: like it's going to ultimately be used against us. It
- 40:11Speaker 24: kind of seems like the Democrat argument for the gun argument.
- 40:15Speaker 24: You know, we've got to take away these guns from
- 40:17Speaker 24: the criminals. In the meantime, you're taking away the rights
- 40:20Speaker 24: of the 90% of citizens that use them correctly. So
- 40:25Speaker 24: I kind of go back to these principles and say,
- 40:27Speaker 24: you know what, I'm going to govern this way. I'm
- 40:29Speaker 24: not going to look at the circumstances that, oh, you know,
- 40:31Speaker 24: we're already being stoned, we're already being this. But that's
- 40:34Speaker 24: kind of.
- 40:35Speaker 4: Where I stand.
- 40:37Speaker 2: Even though it's a modern tool that everyone else can use,
- 40:42Speaker 2: but your police department shouldn't be able to use it
- 40:44Speaker 2: to make your community safer or apprehend fleeing criminals.
- 40:49Speaker 24: Well, to me it's about who's in control of it.
- 40:55Speaker 24: The public is in control. The general public has control
- 40:58Speaker 24: of you being surveilled with all the cameras. I mean,
- 41:01Speaker 24: for crying out loud, you get in an auto accident,
- 41:02Speaker 24: you're in trouble. They've got a camera.
- 41:08Speaker 2: Stand by. Back in a minute, NewsRadio 570 WKBN. And
- 41:12Speaker 2: Ron Ferb, back with more right after this.
- 41:15Speaker 10: iHeartRadio.
- 41:19Speaker 19: You're with me, WKBN.
- 41:22Speaker 2: All right, News Radio 570 WKBN, 356 in the afternoon,
- 41:25Speaker 2: 72 degrees. It's a lovely day. Okay, go ahead, sir.
- 41:29Speaker 12: Go ahead.
- 41:31Speaker 24: Now, we were talking about MS. But, yeah, I was
- 41:36Speaker 24: saying that I firmly believe in the principle behind it,
- 41:40Speaker 24: not the circumstance of it. You had mentioned before that.
- 41:45Speaker 24: They're all over the place already.
- 41:48Speaker 17: Right.
- 41:48Speaker 2: I mean, I never heard this debate in Youngstown. I
- 41:54Speaker 2: didn't hear it in Canfield. I didn't hear it in Boardman.
- 41:57Speaker 2: It's just now become like a nationwide debate in some places.
- 42:01Speaker 2: And it's almost like, to me, it's a pro-criminal debate.
- 42:04Speaker 2: We need to get rid of these flock cameras because
- 42:07Speaker 2: they are very effective for police departments to cut down
- 42:10Speaker 2: on crime. And I'm the first guy to say.
- 42:13Speaker 24: I've never heard of them either until I watched NCIS.
- 42:15Speaker 2: Well, see, there you go. But that doesn't.
- 42:19Speaker 24: Allow for them, though, to me. I'm against them. I
- 42:23Speaker 24: think it's the guy I mentioned, Slippery Slope, before, and I.
- 42:26Speaker 22: Agree with him.
- 42:27Speaker 24: It's going to get government overreach is what I think.
- 42:30Speaker 2: So you're just nervous that the government's always watching you.
- 42:34Speaker 8: Of course.
- 42:35Speaker 17: Now, here's the deal.
- 42:36Speaker 24: You think of Moses. Was it Moses or Noah? I
- 42:39Speaker 24: think it was Noah. got drunk and fell asleep naked,
- 42:42Speaker 24: and his kids came on and saw him. Like, could
- 42:45Speaker 24: you imagine being surveilled to the point to it's so bad?
- 42:49Speaker 24: I think it's going to get this bad. We're so
- 42:52Speaker 24: surveilled that you're going to have one too many beers,
- 42:55Speaker 24: and you're going to pass out naked for whatever reason
- 42:57Speaker 24: on your living room. floor, and somebody's going to see
- 43:00Speaker 24: that and throw it all over the internet.
- 43:02Speaker 17: Now you lose your job.
- 43:04Speaker 4: Now you do this.
- 43:05Speaker 24: Now you do that.
- 43:06Speaker 2: Well, more than losing my job, I think I'd lose
- 43:09Speaker 2: my dignity if they actually posted that.
- 43:11Speaker 17: Sure, sure, sure.
- 43:12Speaker 25: Absolutely.
- 43:14Speaker 2: And I feel if that was posted, a guy like
- 43:17Speaker 2: you would start making fun of me, too. I just
- 43:19Speaker 2: sense it.
- 43:20Speaker 14: I would.
- 43:21Speaker 2: You're right.
- 43:21Speaker 4: I knew it.
- 43:22Speaker 9: I knew you would.
- 43:23Speaker 15: I'm like that.
- 43:25Speaker 12: I am.
- 43:25Speaker 4: I am.
- 43:27Speaker 2: It's almost like a snapshot right back to those gym
- 43:30Speaker 2: showers when I was in high school. Oh, my God.
- 43:33Speaker 2: All right. Thank you for your call. I appreciate it.

- 48:01Speaker 2: Well, here we are on a Monday afternoon, August 24th,
- 48:05Speaker 2: 73 degrees. Ron Verb, NewsRadio 570 WKBN. How about this?
- 48:09Speaker 2: I mean, explain this one to me. It just doesn't
- 48:11Speaker 2: make a lick of sense to me. San Francisco 49ers
- 48:15Speaker 2: owner John Jed York was arrested in the Valley over
- 48:20Speaker 2: the weekend and found guilty of two misdemeanor charges involving
- 48:23Speaker 2: after court documents state that he responded to an undercover
- 48:26Speaker 2: law enforcement advertisement on a prostitution website. York was arrested
- 48:32Speaker 2: Sunday in East Palestine and posted $ 5, 000 bonds. An affidavit
- 48:36Speaker 2: states York responded to an ad on a known prostitution
- 48:40Speaker 2: website that, unbeknownst to him, was posted by an agent
- 48:44Speaker 2: with the Moaning Valley Human Trafficking Task Force. The document
- 48:48Speaker 2: states that York arranged to have sexual activity with a
- 48:51Speaker 2: woman in exchange for for $ 140. He arrived at set
- 48:57Speaker 2: location with the phone he used to arrange the meeting
- 49:00Speaker 2: and was taken into custody. The police report lists the
- 49:04Speaker 2: time and location of the arrest as 9.35 a.m. at
- 49:08Speaker 2: Wheat Hill Mobile Home Community off State Route 170. York
- 49:15Speaker 2: pleaded no contest Monday morning to misdemeanor charges of disorderly
- 49:19Speaker 2: conduct and possessing criminal tools. I wonder what that means.
- 49:25Speaker 2: I mean, possessing criminal tools. He's the..
- 49:28Speaker 12: I don't.
- 49:31Speaker 2: Know. What does that mean? Records state he was originally
- 49:35Speaker 2: charged with engaging in prostitution but it was amended to
- 49:38Speaker 2: disorderly conduct It's part of a plea agreement. Well, why
- 49:41Speaker 2: was that pleaded down? This is on WKBN's website. I mean,
- 49:50Speaker 2: I don't understand some of this stuff as I go
- 49:52Speaker 2: through here. Do you want to know the best? First
- 49:56Speaker 2: of all, what is a guy like this? Why is
- 49:59Speaker 2: he going? He's going on these websites. How many times
- 50:07Speaker 2: over the years? Have you seen these people engaging on
- 50:12Speaker 2: these websites, not just here, but all over the country,
- 50:17Speaker 2: and it's some cop on the other end? I mean,
- 50:21Speaker 2: it's gone on this way for years. I mean, you
- 50:25Speaker 2: see the news stories about it, you see the reports
- 50:27Speaker 2: about it, and yet these idiots fall for it. And
- 50:33Speaker 2: they show up thinking they're going to have sex with somebody,
- 50:38Speaker 2: and they get arrested. And it happens all the time,
- 50:46Speaker 2: even though these sting operations have been going on for
- 50:49Speaker 2: the longest period of time. It's just one of the
- 50:51Speaker 2: dumbest things you could possibly do. Now, why wouldn't he?
- 51:01Speaker 2: I mean, let's just let me speculate. Let's say he
- 51:04Speaker 2: wanted to have sex with a prostitute. He could easily
- 51:09Speaker 2: get on an airplane and fly to Las Vegas. He
- 51:13Speaker 2: could fly out there where this is legal. I'm sure
- 51:18Speaker 2: he can afford it. So I'm sitting back trying to
- 51:23Speaker 2: figure all of this out as I read this news story.
- 51:27Speaker 2: I mean, there's areas where prostitution is legal. So he
- 51:30Speaker 2: could get on a plane and fly out there. And
- 51:33Speaker 2: he wouldn't have to worry about this or the embarrassment.
- 51:36Speaker 2: It would be an easy thing to do. But he
- 51:39Speaker 2: chose not to do that. So he gets on a
- 51:43Speaker 2: website where they know, as I say, over the years,
- 51:47Speaker 2: these sting operations, that it's a pretty good bet. It's
- 51:50Speaker 2: not some woman talking on the other ends. And he
- 51:54Speaker 2: gets caught by the cops. And I'm thinking to myself,
- 51:58Speaker 2: you want to know the best pickup line that a
- 52:00Speaker 2: man could possibly have? I think it's a pretty good one, too.
- 52:09Speaker 2: I do. You could say, hi, I'm... John Jed York,
- 52:14Speaker 2: and I'm the owner of the 49ers. I think that's
- 52:16Speaker 2: a pretty powerful line. You know, I think that's a
- 52:20Speaker 2: pretty powerful line. So I'm just trying to figure all
- 52:27Speaker 2: of this out. I mean, I'm just reading this news story.
- 52:31Speaker 2: He's a nice-looking guy. He's a nice-looking guy. He's the
- 52:36Speaker 2: owner of the 49ers. And yet this guy's caught in
- 52:39Speaker 2: a prostitution stingray. I don't understand. If that's what you
- 52:50Speaker 2: want to do sex-wise, why wouldn't you go where it's legal?
- 52:56Speaker 2: I don't get that, but that's me. I just don't
- 52:58Speaker 2: understand it. And then, of course, how does it go
- 53:03Speaker 2: from York pleaded no contest Monday morning to misdemeanor charge
- 53:10Speaker 2: of disorderly conduct and possessing criminal tools? Records say he
- 53:13Speaker 2: was originally charged with engaging in prostitution. How does it
- 53:17Speaker 2: go from engaging in prostitution to disorderly conduct as part
- 53:21Speaker 2: of a plea agreement? I mean, wouldn't it seem pretty obvious,
- 53:28Speaker 2: the evidence? I don't know.
- 53:29Speaker 6: I'm asking.
- 53:30Speaker 12: I'm asking.
- 53:39Speaker 2: NFL says we are aware of the matter which will
- 53:41Speaker 2: be reviewed under personal conduct policy. As this is a
- 53:44Speaker 2: legal matter which has been resolved, we will not be
- 53:46Speaker 2: providing any further comment at this time. Court records show
- 53:49Speaker 2: York filed a motion to seal court documents related to
- 53:52Speaker 2: the incident. That motion was denied. York was sentenced to
- 53:55Speaker 2: two days in Columbiana County Jail to be served concurrently
- 53:59Speaker 2: with credit for a day served. He was also ordered
- 54:02Speaker 2: to pay $ 1, 150 in fines. Court orders show that the
- 54:04Speaker 2: cell phone was Order returned to York, but $ 160 seized
- 54:12Speaker 2: shall be forfeited to the Morning Valley UN Trafficking Task
- 54:15Speaker 2: Force as part of his agreements. York is a Cardinal
- 54:20Speaker 2: Mooney graduate and became team president of the San Francisco
- 54:23Speaker 2: 49ers in 2008. KBN has reached out to York's attorney
- 54:29Speaker 2: for comment, but has yet to hear back.
- 54:31Speaker 32: All right.
- 54:32Speaker 2: That's, I don't know. That's always interesting. 4-11 in the afternoon,
- 54:38Speaker 2: News Radio 570, WKBN, and Ron Ferb, you're on air.
- 54:44Speaker 3: Hey, how are you doing this afternoon?
- 54:45Speaker 12: Good, sir.
- 54:46Speaker 2: Go ahead with your comments, please.
- 54:49Speaker 13: That whole thing with Mr. York, I mean, the criminal tolls,
- 54:53Speaker 13: the human trafficking task force, there's probably a lot more
- 54:57Speaker 13: to it, Ron, that I'd hate to say it, but..
- 55:03Speaker 2: Why would it? What do they define criminal tools? All right.
- 55:07Speaker 2: It's a pretty good bet. If you're the owner of
- 55:10Speaker 2: the 49ers, you were more than likely not out breaking
- 55:13Speaker 2: into somebody's garage. What do you think? I mean, what
- 55:16Speaker 2: is that?
- 55:16Speaker 13: You would think you would think.
- 55:19Speaker 2: Yeah, I don't I don't get that in possession of
- 55:22Speaker 2: criminal tools. I mean, what would that be?
- 55:25Speaker 17: A crowbar?
- 55:28Speaker 13: Let's hope it was only a crowbar and not duct
- 55:31Speaker 13: tape and other things.
- 55:33Speaker 2: Oh, well, I'd like to know more. I'd like to
- 55:36Speaker 2: know more. Possession of criminal tools, yeah. It doesn't make
- 55:40Speaker 2: sense to me, though. I mean, I'm not trying to
- 55:42Speaker 2: be a smartass here. I mean, I'm trying to tell you,
- 55:44Speaker 2: based on what I see, he's a nice-looking guy. He's
- 55:47Speaker 2: the owner of the 49ers. He could easily get on
- 55:50Speaker 2: a plane and go where prostitution is legal. I don't
- 55:54Speaker 2: know if he's married or has a girlfriend or anything.
- 55:56Speaker 2: I just don't understand. I guess it's just what some
- 55:58Speaker 2: guys are into, but it's– how's that a good idea?
- 56:02Speaker 2: You're going to drive down, engage in sex with some
- 56:07Speaker 2: woman supposedly in a trailer park for $ 140, and you've
- 56:11Speaker 2: got to know that the cops do this stuff all
- 56:14Speaker 2: the time.
- 56:17Speaker 18: Oh, absolutely.
- 56:17Speaker 26: Absolutely.
- 56:18Speaker 4: You know what I mean?
- 56:20Speaker 2: And I would have to ask you, I mean, when
- 56:22Speaker 2: I say $ 140, what are prostitutes charging these days? I mean,
- 56:26Speaker 2: what do they charge, sir?
- 56:29Speaker 13: Well, fortunately, I don't know.
- 56:30Speaker 10: Oh, it was a trick question.
- 56:32Speaker 2: I was setting you up. That's all.
- 56:35Speaker 13: Especially the 140. You better hope you're not getting ruled
- 56:39Speaker 13: maybe at the same time, depending.
- 56:41Speaker 4: On where you're at.
- 56:42Speaker 2: Well, you know what comes with that? Sex and herpes
- 56:45Speaker 2: at the same time. You get the gift that keeps
- 56:48Speaker 2: on giving. There you go.
- 56:50Speaker 13: Very, very, very, very much so. Something else I wanted
- 56:55Speaker 13: to talk to you about. You know what? I am
- 56:57Speaker 13: so sick and tired of the news media letting Sherrod
- 56:59Speaker 13: Brown get away like he was never in office.
- 57:02Speaker 4: Yes.
- 57:02Speaker 13: He started in 2015 supporting data centers, okay, which has
- 57:09Speaker 13: probably given him money to his campaigns, and now he's anti-discrimination.
- 57:14Speaker 13: The man does nothing but lie and do nothing.
- 57:18Speaker 2: I don't know. Listen, I'm not opposed to people changing
- 57:21Speaker 2: their mind as they get more information about things. So
- 57:25Speaker 2: I don't know that that's lying as you get more information.
- 57:28Speaker 2: We are all getting more information about data centers as
- 57:31Speaker 2: time goes on. And we are learning a lot of
- 57:33Speaker 2: things as far as our electric bills going up and
- 57:36Speaker 2: maybe continuing to go up. I mean, I don't think
- 57:39Speaker 2: that Joe Bagadona should have to subsidize data centers as
- 57:42Speaker 2: far as their electric usage at their home and or
- 57:46Speaker 2: their water consumption.
- 57:48Speaker 4: Hold on.
- 57:50Speaker 13: About the water, that's been kind of debunked. And if
- 57:53Speaker 13: you're living next to a golf course, they use two
- 57:57Speaker 13: times what a data center uses for water.
- 58:00Speaker 25: Why aren't people bitching about that?
- 58:02Speaker 2: Well, I can answer that question. A lot of golf courses,
- 58:05Speaker 2: the sprinkling system runs out of a lake that they
- 58:07Speaker 2: have on the course. They're not paying out of your
- 58:10Speaker 2: residential service. It would be very expensive to do that sprinkling.
- 58:14Speaker 4: It would, but the.
- 58:15Speaker 13: Chemicals they put on the grass to maintain it and
- 58:17Speaker 13: look good leaches itself into the groundwater, causing problems for
- 58:21Speaker 13: people around that golf course to have issues if they
- 58:25Speaker 13: have a well, to have other issues because of those chemicals.
- 58:30Speaker 13: So they're not innocent in.
- 58:31Speaker 17: A lot of ways.
- 58:32Speaker 2: Well, yeah, but don't you, do you fertilize your lawn
- 58:35Speaker 2: and put on grub control?
- 58:36Speaker 12: I do.
- 58:38Speaker 14: You mean me?
- 58:39Speaker 13: A lot of people do, and a lot of people don't.
- 58:42Speaker 2: I know.
- 58:43Speaker 13: But at the rate a golf course would be putting
- 58:45Speaker 13: it on there, it's probably double to triple what a
- 58:49Speaker 13: lawn owner would be putting on his lawn.
- 58:51Speaker 2: Right, but that's why golf courses don't have weeds and
- 58:56Speaker 2: are just very picturesque. Now, I do the same thing
- 59:02Speaker 2: over at Verb Manor. I don't necessarily do it. I
- 59:05Speaker 2: have this company called True Green that comes and does it.
- 59:09Speaker 17: Right, right.
- 59:10Speaker 13: And that's your choice.
- 59:12Speaker 8: You know what I mean?
- 59:13Speaker 17: Yes.
- 59:13Speaker 13: But, Ron, what my point is.
- 59:15Speaker 10: I don't want to see.
- 59:16Speaker 12: I brought it up.
- 59:18Speaker 2: You don't want dandelions in your yard, do you, sir?
- 59:21Speaker 9: No, I don't.
- 59:22Speaker 13: And I don't want the Chinese, which Bernie Sanders is
- 59:25Speaker 13: probably getting kickbacks to, to win the AI war because
- 59:28Speaker 13: then we will truly be done.
- 59:30Speaker 2: Well, when it comes to these centers, I mean, as
- 59:40Speaker 2: you learn more about it, I mean, obviously they say
- 59:43Speaker 2: we're in a race with China over AI. But I
- 59:46Speaker 2: don't want to subsidize AI with your electric bill. It's
- 59:51Speaker 2: doubled for us here in Mahoning County. I don't want
- 59:54Speaker 2: to see a triple that we're subsidizing.
- 59:56Speaker 13: We subsidize football fields like up in Cleveland.
- 1:00:00Speaker 6: Well..
- 1:00:01Speaker 2: I'm not for that either. Well, here's the deal with subsidizing.
- 1:00:06Speaker 2: If they're going to use the unclaimed funds, it's supposedly
- 1:00:09Speaker 2: a loan that they're going to have.
- 1:00:10Speaker 17: To pay back.
- 1:00:12Speaker 2: So we shall see about that. But I would agree
- 1:00:14Speaker 2: with you. But I'm not for subsidizing. Why should my
- 1:00:18Speaker 2: electric cost twice as much or even more to subsidize
- 1:00:22Speaker 2: an AI center? Here's my thoughts on AI. Under no
- 1:00:25Speaker 2: circumstances should they get any tax abatement. If you want
- 1:00:28Speaker 2: to build one, they should be energy independent. so that
- 1:00:32Speaker 2: it doesn't increase the cost of everyone on the grid,
- 1:00:34Speaker 2: which it's doing? And thirdly, what is the water consumption,
- 1:00:39Speaker 2: and what is the pollution that comes from the water
- 1:00:41Speaker 2: just for peace of mind?
- 1:00:44Speaker 13: Well, like I brought up the golf course, I mean,
- 1:00:47Speaker 13: there are other things, and then the chemicals they use.
- 1:00:51Speaker 15: I mean, it's a fair debate.
- 1:00:52Speaker 13: But as far as subsidizing them, no. Ron, I agree
- 1:00:58Speaker 13: with you. But at the same time, we have subsidized
- 1:01:01Speaker 13: other things that really don't produce anything. And I don't
- 1:01:05Speaker 13: know if you missed it or not, but President Trump
- 1:01:07Speaker 13: and Lee Greenwood, not Greenwood, Lee Zeldin, the EPA, gave
- 1:01:12Speaker 13: these guys permission to build their own substations for their power.
- 1:01:16Speaker 2: As far as electric goes, back in 2008, we had.
- 1:01:18Speaker 13: Power stations building... stacks and line scrubbers, they were putting
- 1:01:31Speaker 13: out cleaner water than they were taking in, and Obama
- 1:01:34Speaker 13: drove all those out, which drove up your electric.
- 1:01:37Speaker 2: I know.
- 1:01:38Speaker 4: I know.
- 1:01:39Speaker 13: Like coal being evil. So there are other issues as
- 1:01:41Speaker 13: to why your power is so expensive.
- 1:01:44Speaker 2: I know.
- 1:01:44Speaker 13: It's like down in Toronto, and they got rid of
- 1:01:47Speaker 13: that power plant. So if these data centers are going
- 1:01:50Speaker 13: to build their own.
- 1:01:51Speaker 22: Substations, which..
- 1:01:53Speaker 13: BPA has approved under President Trump and they're doing it.
- 1:01:57Speaker 13: And then they sell back to the grid.
- 1:01:59Speaker 25: That's a good thing.
- 1:02:00Speaker 12: All right.
- 1:02:01Speaker 2: Thank you. Appreciate it.
- 1:02:03Speaker 13: Think about what I said.
- 1:02:04Speaker 2: I'm going to dwell on it.
- 1:02:05Speaker 13: The people leading this charge for Bernie Sanders is one
- 1:02:09Speaker 13: in his pocket for China.
- 1:02:12Speaker 2: Well, people can disagree and not be pro-China. It is
- 1:02:17Speaker 2: okay in the United States of America to disagree with
- 1:02:21Speaker 2: some of the stuff that Trump stands for with AI centers.
- 1:02:24Speaker 2: It's okay to say, how many of these do we need?
- 1:02:28Speaker 2: What's the benefit from it? How many people's jobs will
- 1:02:31Speaker 2: be replaced as a result of it? What are the
- 1:02:33Speaker 2: effects as far as the power that is drawn? What
- 1:02:36Speaker 2: are the effects as far as the water usage that
- 1:02:39Speaker 2: is needed on these AI centers? It's okay to ask
- 1:02:42Speaker 2: those questions. You're on the air.
- 1:02:47Speaker 17: Hello.
- 1:02:50Speaker 2: You're back on hold. You're on here. Hello. I'm moving
- 1:02:57Speaker 2: as quick as I can here. Are you there? Apparently not. Okay.
- 1:03:06Speaker 2: You're on here.
- 1:03:08Speaker 17: How you doing?
- 1:03:10Speaker 2: I'm okay.
- 1:03:12Speaker 17: This York guy.
- 1:03:14Speaker 3: Yes.
- 1:03:15Speaker 17: Who cares?
- 1:03:17Speaker 2: I do.
- 1:03:18Speaker 17: I do. Oh, that's good. Now, Denny, was it Denny
- 1:03:21Speaker 17: from Rock Creek? He says Reagan was a very intelligent person. Well,
- 1:03:29Speaker 17: to Denny, anybody's an intelligent person.
- 1:03:31Speaker 3: Come on.
- 1:03:33Speaker 2: Now, sir, that's a vicious thing to say.
- 1:03:37Speaker 14: Well..
- 1:03:38Speaker 17: I'll get more vicious.
- 1:03:39Speaker 2: Well, you should let the kinder side of yourself.
- 1:03:42Speaker 17: And also, has Verbe Manor been renamed Trump Manor?
- 1:03:48Speaker 13: No.
- 1:03:48Speaker 17: He might have got his name in there and had
- 1:03:51Speaker 17: his picture in the front.
- 1:03:52Speaker 2: Of your house. You know, maybe he is. Maybe I
- 1:03:55Speaker 2: should look. Maybe it says Verbe Trump Manor.
- 1:03:59Speaker 17: Well, yeah, yeah, the combination.
- 1:04:01Speaker 2: I better look because Kennedy Center, although his name was
- 1:04:05Speaker 2: taken off and they tried to get it back on
- 1:04:07Speaker 2: and they haven't been successful in that. I do have
- 1:04:10Speaker 2: a beef with Trump wanting to put his name on everything,
- 1:04:12Speaker 2: but I'm going to check my house and see if
- 1:04:14Speaker 2: his name's on it.
- 1:04:15Speaker 17: Yeah, your golf courses generally have water wells on them anyway.
- 1:04:20Speaker 2: Right, and they have ponds that they usually draw out.
- 1:04:22Speaker 17: Right, exactly.
- 1:04:24Speaker 2: I think that guy hated golf, don't you?
- 1:04:27Speaker 17: Maybe he had a hole-in-one one time in his lap,
- 1:04:30Speaker 17: and he didn't like it. I'll talk to you.
- 1:04:32Speaker 4: Goodbye.
- 1:04:32Speaker 2: I think he was probably a lot of bogeys. I
- 1:04:36Speaker 2: doubt if he ever had a hole-in-one. I think he
- 1:04:38Speaker 2: just hated golf and golf courses. But there's a legitimate
- 1:04:44Speaker 2: debate going on on AI centers. There's a legitimate one,
- 1:04:48Speaker 2: and it should continue to go on. A lot of
- 1:04:51Speaker 2: people say they don't want him in neighborhoods. There are
- 1:04:56Speaker 2: two sides to the AI debates. We'll be back. Here's
- 1:05:04Speaker 2: a great employment opportunity if you're looking for a new career.
- 1:05:07Speaker 2: Flynn's Tire continues to grow and is actively hiring tire
- 1:05:10Speaker 2: and auto techs, warehouse members, drivers, and more. Why Flynn's Tire,
- 1:05:14Speaker 2: you ask? Well, Flynn supports employee growth and career development
- 1:05:18Speaker 2: by paying ASC certifications. Thank you.
- 1:05:20Speaker 4: Thank you.
- 1:05:21Speaker 12: Thank you.
- 1:05:37Speaker 2: What you have to do is apply online at flinstire.com
- 1:05:41Speaker 2: forward slash careers. Let's talk about some tire specials for April.
- 1:05:44Speaker 2: Up to $ 180 rebate with the purchase of four select
- 1:05:47Speaker 2: Goodyear tires. Going on in April at Flynn's. Up to
- 1:05:50Speaker 2: $ 140 rebate with the purchase of four select Cooper tires.
- 1:05:53Speaker 2: How about $ 80 rebates with the purchase of four Michelin tires.
- 1:05:57Speaker 2: $ 80 rebate with the purchase of four BF Goodrich tires.
- 1:06:01Speaker 2: Just some of the April specials going on at Flynn's
- 1:06:04Speaker 2: Tire and Auto Service Center.
- 1:06:06Speaker 19: Mike Rowe here with a random fest. News, weather, and
- 1:06:09Speaker 19: talk station. 570 WKBN. All right.
- 1:06:13Speaker 2: News Radio 570 WKBN. A lot of people email me
- 1:06:16Speaker 2: saying when they say York was charged with criminal tools,
- 1:06:22Speaker 2: people are saying it was his phone used to set
- 1:06:24Speaker 2: up the encounter. So, okay. That's what some people are
- 1:06:29Speaker 2: speculating about. Let's see. San Francisco 49ers owner John Jed
- 1:06:34Speaker 2: York was arrested in a valley over the weekend and
- 1:06:37Speaker 2: found guilty of two misdemeanor charges after court documents state
- 1:06:40Speaker 2: he responded to an undercover law enforcement advertisement on a
- 1:06:43Speaker 2: prostitution website. I always, like I said, I just shake
- 1:06:47Speaker 2: my head on how many people just fall for this
- 1:06:49Speaker 2: when for years you see these sting operations. York was
- 1:06:53Speaker 2: arrested Sunday in East Palestine and posted a $ 5, 000 bond.
- 1:06:56Speaker 2: Affidavit states York responded to an ad on a known
- 1:06:58Speaker 2: prostitution website that unbeknownst to him was posted by an
- 1:07:02Speaker 2: agent with the Moaning Valley Human Trafficking Task Force. Document
- 1:07:06Speaker 2: states that York arranged to have sexual activity with a
- 1:07:08Speaker 2: woman for $ 140. Hmm. He arrived at a set location
- 1:07:19Speaker 2: with the phone he used to arrange the meeting and
- 1:07:21Speaker 2: was taken into custody. Police report lists the time and
- 1:07:24Speaker 2: location of the arrest.
- 1:07:25Speaker 17: 9.35 a.m.
- 1:07:26Speaker 2: At Wheat Hill Mobile Home Community off... State Route 176.
- 1:07:29Speaker 2: Eric pleaded no contest Monday morning. That would be today, right?
- 1:07:34Speaker 2: To misdemeanor charges of disorderly conduct and possessing criminal tools.
- 1:07:39Speaker 2: It's tools, plural, so it would be just as following.
- 1:07:44Speaker 2: Records state that he was originally charged with engaging in prostitution,
- 1:07:47Speaker 2: but it was amended to disorderly conduct as part of
- 1:07:50Speaker 2: a plea agreement. I mean, why would you plea that down?
- 1:07:55Speaker 2: Isn't it obvious? I don't know. WKBN reached out to
- 1:07:59Speaker 2: the NFL requesting comment on New York's arrest and received
- 1:08:02Speaker 2: the following statements. We are aware of the matter, which
- 1:08:05Speaker 2: will be under review for personal conduct policy. As this
- 1:08:08Speaker 2: is a legal matter, which has to be resolved, we
- 1:08:10Speaker 2: will not be providing any further comment. All right, you're
- 1:08:14Speaker 2: on the air.
- 1:08:16Speaker 3: Hi.
- 1:08:17Speaker 14: Are we talking about flock cameras anymore?
- 1:08:20Speaker 2: Yeah, we're talking about prostitution and flock cameras. Which would
- 1:08:24Speaker 2: you like to talk about?
- 1:08:26Speaker 14: I don't know anything about prostitution. I've just never been.
- 1:08:29Speaker 9: Into it myself.
- 1:08:30Speaker 2: Well, why do you think a guy that they say the..
- 1:08:32Speaker 14: I have no idea. People are just... There's so many
- 1:08:38Speaker 14: things I don't understand what people do.
- 1:08:41Speaker 2: It's very confusing, isn't it?
- 1:08:43Speaker 14: Yeah, I mean, I don't know. Sex must be really,
- 1:08:46Speaker 14: really a stronger draw than..
- 1:08:50Speaker 22: You know, whatever.
- 1:08:51Speaker 2: Yeah, but I mean, the thought of saying, I'm going
- 1:08:54Speaker 2: to pay this person to have sex with me doesn't
- 1:08:56Speaker 2: have sex with me. I mean, I don't find that
- 1:08:57Speaker 2: very appealing.
- 1:09:01Speaker 14: Well, I'm glad it doesn't appeal to you. It wouldn't
- 1:09:03Speaker 14: appeal to me, and it certainly wouldn't. I'm certainly hoping
- 1:09:06Speaker 14: it never would have appealed to my husband.
- 1:09:08Speaker 2: Well, did you have, how long were you married?
- 1:09:11Speaker 14: Oh, well, almost 50 years.
- 1:09:14Speaker 2: Has he passed away?
- 1:09:16Speaker 12: Yes.
- 1:09:17Speaker 25: Really?
- 1:09:18Speaker 17: Really?
- 1:09:19Speaker 2: How long have you been widowed? How long have you
- 1:09:21Speaker 2: been widowed?
- 1:09:22Speaker 14: About 16 years.
- 1:09:24Speaker 2: Do you miss them every day?
- 1:09:27Speaker 4: Honestly? Yes.
- 1:09:29Speaker 14: I miss them sometimes, but I can't say every day.
- 1:09:34Speaker 2: I love your honesty. After 16 years, you move on
- 1:09:37Speaker 2: a little. The memory fades.
- 1:09:45Speaker 14: Yeah, well, there are things I miss. I miss having
- 1:09:47Speaker 14: somebody to sit and read the paper in the morning
- 1:09:49Speaker 14: and talk about news with.
- 1:09:52Speaker 2: Have you ever thought about snagging another guy?
- 1:09:57Speaker 14: I do not want to take care of another old man.
- 1:10:01Speaker 14: And most men that want to get married at my
- 1:10:04Speaker 14: age want a nursemaid, a house cleaner, and maybe a
- 1:10:07Speaker 14: bank account.
- 1:10:08Speaker 12: Really?
- 1:10:09Speaker 14: I don't want to be out. Oh, I think so.
- 1:10:11Speaker 2: How old are you?
- 1:10:11Speaker 33: 85.
- 1:10:13Speaker 4: Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 1:10:15Speaker 2: Well, you'd want a younger guy anyway, wouldn't you?
- 1:10:18Speaker 34: Well, that's true.
- 1:10:19Speaker 2: I mean, but..
- 1:10:20Speaker 4: I don't know.
- 1:10:21Speaker 2: I don't, you know..
- 1:10:22Speaker 14: I cannot imagine anymore adjusting my life to someone else.
- 1:10:26Speaker 26: Really?
- 1:10:28Speaker 23: Really.
- 1:10:29Speaker 2: So you're kind of..
- 1:10:30Speaker 14: And then you get into families. He has a family.
- 1:10:33Speaker 14: You have a family. It gets hard enough with family.
- 1:10:36Speaker 14: You're on holidays where you spend it and so on.
- 1:10:39Speaker 14: I just don't need that at a Additional aggravation.
- 1:10:44Speaker 2: You seem like you're very good. You make a lot
- 1:10:46Speaker 2: of good points. You're very content with your life at
- 1:10:48Speaker 2: this stage in it. I mean, you make a lot
- 1:10:49Speaker 2: of sense to me.
- 1:10:51Speaker 8: I am.
- 1:10:52Speaker 14: And can I tell you about why flock cameras are
- 1:10:54Speaker 14: all the big thing now?
- 1:10:55Speaker 2: Yes, please.
- 1:10:57Speaker 13: Because of ICE.
- 1:10:59Speaker 3: ICE.
- 1:11:00Speaker 14: It started with the people that were anti-ICE. They started
- 1:11:04Speaker 14: to say, they're going to use those flock cameras to
- 1:11:06Speaker 14: catch illegal..
- 1:11:08Speaker 2: Oh, stand by for me. Stand by there. Hang on, okay?
- 1:11:10Speaker 2: Just hang on. I want to get back to her.
- 1:11:12Speaker 2: There's an interesting woman right there. I want to get
- 1:11:15Speaker 2: back to her right after this. Stay tuned.

- 1:13:32Speaker 2: How about the, the spunk that this woman has? She says,
- 1:13:36Speaker 2: what did it do? How old did you say you were?
- 1:13:38Speaker 6: 85.
- 1:13:39Speaker 14: I'll put 86.
- 1:13:42Speaker 2: And she has no desire to get married again. She's
- 1:13:45Speaker 2: not going to take care of some old, decrepit guy, right?
- 1:13:49Speaker 24: Right.
- 1:13:50Speaker 10: I did that.
- 1:13:53Speaker 14: And I've been with him for 50 years, so that's
- 1:13:55Speaker 14: a whole different matter. I don't want to marry somebody
- 1:13:58Speaker 14: and two years later he's got a stroke or he's
- 1:14:00Speaker 14: got cancer or whatever. I don't want to sound selfish.
- 1:14:03Speaker 2: But maybe I am. How's your health?
- 1:14:08Speaker 14: It's very good. I... Last time I saw my doctor
- 1:14:12Speaker 14: this summer, she said, well, let's make your appointment for
- 1:14:14Speaker 14: next year. And I said, are you that optimistic? And
- 1:14:17Speaker 14: she said, I could make your appointment for the next
- 1:14:19Speaker 14: 10 years.
- 1:14:20Speaker 17: Really?
- 1:14:20Speaker 7: Really.
- 1:14:22Speaker 2: Now, I went to, you know, I recently saw my doctor.
- 1:14:26Speaker 2: And he said, well, you know, he asked me all
- 1:14:31Speaker 2: these questions. As you get older, your bowel movements and
- 1:14:35Speaker 2: that stuff. I said, doctor, I have a bowel movement
- 1:14:38Speaker 2: every morning at 6 a.m. And he said, well, that's good.
- 1:14:40Speaker 2: And I said, but the problem, doc, is I don't
- 1:14:42Speaker 2: wake up until 7 a.m.
- 1:14:45Speaker 14: Yeah, I've heard that one before. That's an old one.
- 1:14:48Speaker 2: Well, I'm an old one, too.
- 1:14:49Speaker 25: I know, but not as old as I am.
- 1:14:52Speaker 2: All right, so you're physically in good shape. You don't
- 1:14:57Speaker 2: have any problems.
- 1:14:58Speaker 14: Not really. I don't take any medication.
- 1:15:00Speaker 2: Are you able to drive?
- 1:15:01Speaker 26: Really?
- 1:15:02Speaker 2: You don't take any medication?
- 1:15:03Speaker 34: Of course.
- 1:15:03Speaker 14: Well, I take a lot of vitamins.
- 1:15:06Speaker 2: Well, really? Do they make a difference, do you think?
- 1:15:10Speaker 14: No, but, you know.
- 1:15:11Speaker 2: You ever smoke?
- 1:15:12Speaker 14: I have to say something. No, I never did.
- 1:15:14Speaker 2: Ever drink?
- 1:15:16Speaker 14: Well, of course. Well, I can say of course, but yes,
- 1:15:18Speaker 14: I still break drink.
- 1:15:20Speaker 2: What do you drink?
- 1:15:23Speaker 14: Oh, beer and wine, basically.
- 1:15:25Speaker 9: Sometimes gin.
- 1:15:27Speaker 2: But not a lot?
- 1:15:28Speaker 14: Or a margarita.
- 1:15:29Speaker 4: Really?
- 1:15:30Speaker 25: No, socially.
- 1:15:32Speaker 12: I see.
- 1:15:33Speaker 2: And you still drive. I mean, you're able to drive.
- 1:15:36Speaker 14: Oh, yeah.
- 1:15:37Speaker 2: And you don't mistake the brake for the gas and
- 1:15:39Speaker 2: vice versa.
- 1:15:40Speaker 14: Not so far.
- 1:15:42Speaker 2: Really? How about this? And do you enjoy each day
- 1:15:47Speaker 2: to its fullest?
- 1:15:50Speaker 14: I don't have enough hours in the day to do
- 1:15:52Speaker 14: everything I want to do.
- 1:15:55Speaker 2: Is that right?
- 1:15:55Speaker 14: Right now I'm getting ready to go out and mow
- 1:15:57Speaker 14: my lawn if it doesn't rain.
- 1:16:00Speaker 2: Look at you.
- 1:16:00Speaker 14: I feel like I'm living in a monsoon area.
- 1:16:08Speaker 2: It does feel that way, doesn't it? But look at you.
- 1:16:11Speaker 2: Look at you. You know, you are a woman that says,
- 1:16:14Speaker 2: I'm going to go mow.
- 1:16:16Speaker 4: My own yard.
- 1:16:16Speaker 14: All my friends are the same. I have a friend
- 1:16:19Speaker 14: who's 94. She plays golf twice a week.
- 1:16:22Speaker 2: You know how many women can't mow their own grass
- 1:16:24Speaker 2: and that kind of stuff? And look at you. You're
- 1:16:26Speaker 2: doing it at 85 and enjoying it.
- 1:16:27Speaker 14: Well, I've done it since I was 11. My dad said, okay,
- 1:16:32Speaker 14: you're big enough. And that was a push mower.
- 1:16:35Speaker 12: Right.
- 1:16:35Speaker 14: He said, you can take over the lawn care now.
- 1:16:38Speaker 14: And then my husband was not big into it, so
- 1:16:40Speaker 14: I almost always did the lawn mowing.
- 1:16:42Speaker 2: Now, do you fix anything around the house?
- 1:16:46Speaker 4: Of course.
- 1:16:47Speaker 2: You're good at that, too.
- 1:16:49Speaker 25: Yep.
- 1:16:50Speaker 2: Well, see, you're a unique person.
- 1:16:54Speaker 14: See, I don't think so. All my friends are about
- 1:16:57Speaker 14: the same.
- 1:16:58Speaker 2: They are like you. Now, are they all widows as well?
- 1:17:03Speaker 14: Pretty much, yeah.
- 1:17:05Speaker 7: Not all of them.
- 1:17:05Speaker 14: I have a few friends that are, but most of
- 1:17:07Speaker 14: us are.
- 1:17:08Speaker 2: And what do you guys do?
- 1:17:09Speaker 14: By the time you get into this point, you've just,
- 1:17:11Speaker 14: you know, you men don't take good enough care of
- 1:17:14Speaker 14: yourselves or something. I don't know.
- 1:17:16Speaker 2: Yeah, so what do you girls do? Go out and eat?
- 1:17:20Speaker 2: We do.
- 1:17:22Speaker 14: We go out. We play cards. I play a lot
- 1:17:24Speaker 14: of bridge. I volunteer at the local historical society. I
- 1:17:29Speaker 14: do things at church. As I said, I work around
- 1:17:32Speaker 14: my yard. I'm big into genealogy. Anything to keep my
- 1:17:35Speaker 14: mind going.
- 1:17:37Speaker 2: Isn't that something? How long did it— do you have long—
- 1:17:43Speaker 2: Your family tree, I mean, did your mother and father
- 1:17:46Speaker 2: live long?
- 1:17:48Speaker 14: Yeah, well, my dad did not, but my mother lived
- 1:17:50Speaker 14: to be 96. Most of my family lived into their 90s.
- 1:17:55Speaker 14: I mean, even my great aunts and uncles, who probably
- 1:17:58Speaker 14: never saw a doctor until they were in their 60s,
- 1:18:01Speaker 14: still lived into their 90s.
- 1:18:03Speaker 2: And when you go get blood work, you don't need
- 1:18:04Speaker 2: any cholesterol medication? You don't take any medication for anything?
- 1:18:08Speaker 14: No, no, no, no, no.
- 1:18:10Speaker 2: You ever have any major surgery?
- 1:18:13Speaker 17: Uh, nope.
- 1:18:14Speaker 14: Well, I've had two knee replaced. Two knees replaced.
- 1:18:18Speaker 4: Mm-hmm.
- 1:18:19Speaker 2: That can be brutal.
- 1:18:21Speaker 14: Not really. I didn't think it was bad at all.
- 1:18:24Speaker 2: The recovery in that, you didn't think it was bad?
- 1:18:28Speaker 14: No, I really didn't. I mean, I know they say, oh,
- 1:18:31Speaker 14: but I had exercised a lot beforehand, and about 10
- 1:18:35Speaker 14: days after I had my knee replaced, I sort of
- 1:18:37Speaker 14: walked off. I thought, oh, wait a minute, I don't
- 1:18:39Speaker 14: have a pain or anything anymore. Oh, well, I guess
- 1:18:42Speaker 14: I don't need it.
- 1:18:43Speaker 2: Mm-hmm. Very interesting. Who was your heartthrob as a young woman? Like,
- 1:18:50Speaker 2: you know, what famous person was your heartthrob when you
- 1:18:55Speaker 2: were younger?
- 1:18:55Speaker 7: Oh.
- 1:18:57Speaker 15: Or maybe even older.
- 1:18:59Speaker 2: Or maybe even older. I'm going to go with..
- 1:19:02Speaker 14: Well, my husband and I had this agreement that if
- 1:19:08Speaker 14: Kelly McGillis or Veronica Hamill ever showed up at the
- 1:19:11Speaker 14: door and wanted him, as long as he left me
- 1:19:13Speaker 14: the money and the house, he could go. I had
- 1:19:17Speaker 14: the same agreement with... And I had the same agreement with... Now,
- 1:19:24Speaker 14: this is where my problem is, is names. Hal Linden,
- 1:19:28Speaker 14: I liked him.
- 1:19:29Speaker 2: If he showed up.
- 1:19:31Speaker 1: Pardon?
- 1:19:33Speaker 17: Oh, my.
- 1:19:34Speaker 14: Yeah, so he had a couple of..
- 1:19:35Speaker 3: Oh, and..
- 1:19:36Speaker 14: Oh, Christ. The guy that's in blue bloods.
- 1:19:40Speaker 2: Oh, Tom Selleck.
- 1:19:42Speaker 4: Yes.
- 1:19:44Speaker 14: If he ever showed up, I could leave, too.
- 1:19:47Speaker 2: Now, how did you meet your husband? How did you
- 1:19:51Speaker 2: guys meet?
- 1:19:52Speaker 13: In college.
- 1:19:53Speaker 14: In graduate school.
- 1:19:55Speaker 12: Really?
- 1:19:55Speaker 2: And was a love at first sight?
- 1:19:58Speaker 14: Not really.
- 1:19:59Speaker 2: How did he woo you?
- 1:20:00Speaker 14: So I have to tell you about my husband and
- 1:20:02Speaker 14: Kelly McGillis. So we were in, so Kelly McGillis, I
- 1:20:07Speaker 14: think it was because he liked her boobs from all
- 1:20:12Speaker 14: the Amish, the Amish movie. And so we were in
- 1:20:21Speaker 14: Key West and we went into this restaurant and we're
- 1:20:25Speaker 14: reading the menu and he says, gee, this restaurant's owned
- 1:20:28Speaker 14: by Kelly McGillis. I said, well, that explains why she's
- 1:20:31Speaker 14: standing behind you.
- 1:20:33Speaker 2: Was she?
- 1:20:35Speaker 36: She was.
- 1:20:37Speaker 14: And I said to her, you know, you're one of
- 1:20:38Speaker 14: the people that my husband can leave me for without
- 1:20:41Speaker 14: any recommend. I won't bite it at all. And she said, oh, really?
- 1:20:44Speaker 14: And I said, yeah. And he said, oh, gee. She's
- 1:20:48Speaker 14: kissing him and hugging him and carrying on. I thought
- 1:20:52Speaker 14: he was going to die. Of course, fortunately, he died
- 1:20:54Speaker 14: before he found out she was a lesbian.
- 1:20:56Speaker 19: Because I think he.
- 1:20:58Speaker 14: Would have been really disappointed.
- 1:21:02Speaker 4: Really?
- 1:21:02Speaker 2: I didn't know that.
- 1:21:03Speaker 6: So.
- 1:21:04Speaker 2: So she was harmless.
- 1:21:07Speaker 25: Yeah.
- 1:21:09Speaker 2: That would have broke his heart, I think, don't you?
- 1:21:12Speaker 32: Yeah, I think so.
- 1:21:13Speaker 14: Like what I said, I thought they're fortunate that he
- 1:21:15Speaker 14: didn't have to find that out, at least on this,
- 1:21:17Speaker 14: on here.
- 1:21:19Speaker 2: So how did you know this was a guy you
- 1:21:20Speaker 2: were going to marry once you met him?
- 1:21:23Speaker 14: Oh, we had the same values. He would, you know,
- 1:21:29Speaker 14: I liked his, all the men in his family were
- 1:21:32Speaker 14: good men. When I met his family, his uncles, his dad,
- 1:21:40Speaker 14: they were all good husbands, good fathers, good men. I
- 1:21:43Speaker 14: figured he would be as well.
- 1:21:45Speaker 2: And was he?
- 1:21:47Speaker 14: Yeah.
- 1:21:50Speaker 2: And was it a good marriage?
- 1:21:53Speaker 14: It was, for the most part. I mean, no marriage
- 1:21:55Speaker 14: is perfect. I was perfect, of course. He did have
- 1:21:59Speaker 14: his faults.
- 1:22:00Speaker 2: But you honed him in, right? He was like a
- 1:22:03Speaker 2: rough diamond. You had to polish him.
- 1:22:05Speaker 14: Yeah, well, sort of, because he was from Youngstown, you know.
- 1:22:08Speaker 2: Well, where were you from?
- 1:22:10Speaker 25: Canton.
- 1:22:11Speaker 2: Oh, Canton.
- 1:22:12Speaker 6: Okay.
- 1:22:13Speaker 14: Yeah, much better.
- 1:22:15Speaker 2: I see. Well, you're a fascinating woman. So you say
- 1:22:18Speaker 2: people are opposed to flock cameras because of the illegals.
- 1:22:22Speaker 14: That's what started it. When they started, they were so afraid.
- 1:22:26Speaker 14: The people that were, you know, opposing ICE and so
- 1:22:29Speaker 14: on kept saying, oh, they're going to use those cameras. Well,
- 1:22:32Speaker 14: that wasn't really upsetting people. Enough, because most people said, okay,
- 1:22:36Speaker 14: too bad. So then they said, we've got to broaden it.
- 1:22:41Speaker 14: So then they went into privacy. It's not just for
- 1:22:44Speaker 14: illegals that are going to get caught. It's going to
- 1:22:46Speaker 14: be all of you other people that are criminals.
- 1:22:51Speaker 2: The rest of the criminal elements.
- 1:22:54Speaker 14: But I really think, because the first time I even
- 1:22:56Speaker 14: heard about block cameras, it seemed, it was because they
- 1:22:59Speaker 14: were complaining about that they were using them to capture,
- 1:23:02Speaker 14: to catch illegal aliens.
- 1:23:04Speaker 2: I think you might be right. I think you might
- 1:23:06Speaker 2: be right. You know, you might not be able to
- 1:23:08Speaker 2: remember names, but you can remember a lot of other stuff.
- 1:23:11Speaker 14: Yeah, it's just names. Sometimes downs.
- 1:23:15Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:23:17Speaker 14: You know, you can't keep it forever.
- 1:23:19Speaker 2: No, but you're in really good shape for 85. I mean,
- 1:23:22Speaker 2: you know, you got your attitude is half the battle.
- 1:23:26Speaker 2: I mean, you got a great attitude.
- 1:23:28Speaker 14: Well, that's one thing you have to do is be
- 1:23:30Speaker 14: resilient because everybody keeps dying on you.
- 1:23:35Speaker 2: Yeah, is that depressing when you see all your friends
- 1:23:38Speaker 2: passing away?
- 1:23:38Speaker 14: Well, it is. It is, but that's what I'm saying.
- 1:23:41Speaker 14: You have to have a certain amount of resiliency. Otherwise,
- 1:23:43Speaker 14: you would be deeply depressed, I think, in getting older.
- 1:23:47Speaker 2: Do you believe in God? Do you have faith?
- 1:23:50Speaker 14: I do.
- 1:23:50Speaker 17: I do.
- 1:23:51Speaker 14: For the most part. I'm counting on it.
- 1:23:58Speaker 2: You're hoping that happens, right?
- 1:24:01Speaker 14: Yes, I'm hoping it. I'm hoping it's all true.
- 1:24:04Speaker 2: So like a big day for you is what, going
- 1:24:06Speaker 2: to the grocery store?
- 1:24:07Speaker 14: Oh, I try not to go to the grocery store. Well,
- 1:24:12Speaker 14: today I made some appointments in the morning. I went
- 1:24:15Speaker 14: and played bridge up at the senior center that I
- 1:24:17Speaker 14: went to Home Depot to buy food. Some supplies to
- 1:24:22Speaker 14: have some lawn repaired. And then I just came home,
- 1:24:27Speaker 14: and now I was thinking about dinner. And as I said,
- 1:24:30Speaker 14: I think I'm going to go out. Well, I've got
- 1:24:33Speaker 14: some leftovers. And I think I'm going to go out
- 1:24:37Speaker 14: and mow my lawn.
- 1:24:38Speaker 2: What are the leftovers? Are you a good cook?
- 1:24:42Speaker 14: I used to be, but, boy, it's hard to cook.
- 1:24:45Speaker 14: That's the worst part is cooking for one.
- 1:24:48Speaker 2: What do you think the best thing is that you cook?
- 1:24:53Speaker 14: Oh, I don't know. I can't really say that. I'm
- 1:24:57Speaker 14: a very good pie maker, but then I'm not going
- 1:24:58Speaker 14: to make a pie very often. And I can cook
- 1:25:04Speaker 14: a lot of stuff. I just, like I said, I
- 1:25:07Speaker 14: don't really have a specialty. My kids don't come to
- 1:25:09Speaker 14: the house and say, oh, mom, thanks, haven't you made
- 1:25:12Speaker 14: such and such? When my kids come to the house,
- 1:25:14Speaker 14: I say, let's go out to a restaurant.
- 1:25:16Speaker 2: How old are your kids?
- 1:25:19Speaker 14: One will be 59 this year, and the next one
- 1:25:21Speaker 14: will be..
- 1:25:21Speaker 4: 56.
- 1:25:26Speaker 2: And are they married?
- 1:25:28Speaker 4: Yep.
- 1:25:28Speaker 14: I have five grandchildren.
- 1:25:30Speaker 2: Now, did they have good wives? Did they meet good
- 1:25:34Speaker 2: women or good husbands, whatever the case?
- 1:25:36Speaker 14: Yeah, my son married a good wife, and my daughter
- 1:25:39Speaker 14: married a good husband. They're both still married. But, as
- 1:25:43Speaker 14: I said, five good grandchildren.
- 1:25:46Speaker 2: And do they visit you regularly?
- 1:25:49Speaker 14: Pretty much. Not as much, maybe, as I would like.
- 1:25:55Speaker 14: But I actually go to them. I mean, I drive
- 1:25:57Speaker 14: to Columbus and back.
- 1:25:59Speaker 2: At 85, you go to Columbus on the freeway?
- 1:26:02Speaker 15: Of course.
- 1:26:03Speaker 14: How else am I going to get there?
- 1:26:04Speaker 2: I can't imagine. I just can't imagine. 85, what do
- 1:26:08Speaker 2: you drive, 43 miles an hour the entire way?
- 1:26:11Speaker 14: I try not to go over 85.
- 1:26:14Speaker 2: 85. Jesus, you are something else, man. So you're on
- 1:26:21Speaker 2: the freeway at 85 doing 85.
- 1:26:24Speaker 14: Well, no, I never go over 80.
- 1:26:27Speaker 2: Okay. So, man, that's a beautiful thing. I enjoyed my
- 1:26:30Speaker 2: conversation with you. You made my day. Thank you for calling.
- 1:26:33Speaker 14: Yeah, I will.
- 1:26:34Speaker 4: Keep it up.
- 1:26:35Speaker 2: God bless.
- 1:26:36Speaker 12: All right.
- 1:26:37Speaker 14: Okay, thank you.
- 1:26:38Speaker 2: You're on the air.
- 1:26:41Speaker 12: Hey, good afternoon, Ron.
- 1:26:42Speaker 14: Yes.
- 1:26:42Speaker 12: God bless that lady. I mean, that's a life well
- 1:26:45Speaker 12: lived there.
- 1:26:45Speaker 2: That is. She's got spunk.
- 1:26:49Speaker 13: Yeah.
- 1:26:49Speaker 12: I mean, if you're lucky, you get to have a
- 1:26:53Speaker 12: life as good as what it seems like that lady's had.
- 1:26:56Speaker 2: And you can tell she's enjoying it, too.
- 1:26:58Speaker 13: Yep.
- 1:26:59Speaker 12: Yep. Yeah, it's probably a little combination of good genes,
- 1:27:02Speaker 12: good living.
- 1:27:03Speaker 17: Right.
- 1:27:03Speaker 12: You know, clean living. So, I mean, God bless her.
- 1:27:06Speaker 12: Beautiful day out there, isn't it?
- 1:27:08Speaker 10: It's fantastic.
- 1:27:08Speaker 12: This is just a gorgeous Ohio day.
- 1:27:10Speaker 2: Yep, perfect day. So what seems to be on your mind, Ricardo?
- 1:27:14Speaker 12: Well, I think the Jed York thing, I think, I
- 1:27:18Speaker 12: have a saying I like to tell a lot of people,
- 1:27:20Speaker 12: like my young workers and that, is that smart people
- 1:27:23Speaker 12: do dumb things. It never fails to amaze me. People
- 1:27:26Speaker 12: that I've known that are really smart in their lives,
- 1:27:29Speaker 12: intelligent people, and then they pull stupid stunts like that.
- 1:27:33Speaker 12: I think when you get to have, I mean, the guys,
- 1:27:35Speaker 12: you know, a billionaire probably several times over. The 49ers alone,
- 1:27:39Speaker 12: I think, are worth, like, $ 10 or $ 12 billion now
- 1:27:42Speaker 12: at some. And did you ever see what the old
- 1:27:46Speaker 12: man paid for that when he bought it in 76
- 1:27:48Speaker 12: or 77, whenever that was?
- 1:27:50Speaker 4: No.
- 1:27:52Speaker 12: I think it was something like $ 13 or $ 17 million
- 1:27:56Speaker 12: when he bought the 49ers. And if you remember, they
- 1:27:58Speaker 12: were terrible.
- 1:27:59Speaker 4: Mm-hmm. They were horrible.
- 1:28:01Speaker 12: And within like three or four years, they won the
- 1:28:02Speaker 12: Super Bowl. Because he knew how to treat, you know,
- 1:28:06Speaker 12: Eddie Jr. took him over and treated people right and got,
- 1:28:08Speaker 12: you know, took care of everybody. And they loved him.
- 1:28:11Speaker 4: He loved them.
- 1:28:11Speaker 12: And they won the Super Bowl within, I think, four
- 1:28:13Speaker 12: or five years that DeBartolo was owning them.
- 1:28:16Speaker 2: Well, isn't the best pickup line for any woman is, hi, I'm,
- 1:28:21Speaker 2: my name's, what is his name here? My name's John
- 1:28:24Speaker 2: and I own the 49ers. How do you overcome that line?
- 1:28:27Speaker 12: Well, I mean, like you said, I don't know. Is
- 1:28:29Speaker 12: he married? I have no idea. You know, I don't
- 1:28:31Speaker 12: know what his personal life is.
- 1:28:32Speaker 2: Somebody said he was. Somebody sent me an email that
- 1:28:35Speaker 2: said he was married with two kids. I don't know
- 1:28:37Speaker 2: if that's true or false. I'm just reading that email.
- 1:28:40Speaker 12: Email. Here's the problem with rich people. When you have
- 1:28:45Speaker 12: so much money that you want for nothing, you start
- 1:28:48Speaker 12: to get bored. And when you get bored, you start
- 1:28:51Speaker 12: to get in trouble. Because very few people... Imagine having
- 1:28:56Speaker 12: so much money that you can go, you can do
- 1:28:59Speaker 12: anything you've ever wanted to do, buy anything you want,
- 1:29:02Speaker 12: and money is not an object.
- 1:29:04Speaker 2: But let me put it this way. If that was
- 1:29:05Speaker 2: the case, I got to confess to you, the last
- 1:29:08Speaker 2: thing I would want to do is go to the
- 1:29:10Speaker 2: Wheat Hill mobile home community and have sex with a prostitute.
- 1:29:15Speaker 2: That wouldn't even be on the radar screen.
- 1:29:18Speaker 12: Like I texted you, the guy's... I'm sure he flew
- 1:29:20Speaker 12: in on a private jet.
- 1:29:21Speaker 9: Number one..
- 1:29:22Speaker 12: You could have the girl meet you at the jet,
- 1:29:24Speaker 12: and you could join the Mile High Club if you wanted.
- 1:29:27Speaker 12: Or you could, you know, in Vegas and Nevada, it's legal.
- 1:29:31Speaker 12: And I could be wrong, but I would think the
- 1:29:34Speaker 12: woman that is available to you in Las Vegas is
- 1:29:37Speaker 12: going to probably be a little bit more physically attractive
- 1:29:40Speaker 12: than what you're going to find in the Wheat Hill
- 1:29:41Speaker 12: Mobile Home Park in East Palestine.
- 1:29:43Speaker 2: Well, there was some cops on the other end of
- 1:29:45Speaker 2: the line.
- 1:29:46Speaker 12: I'm assuming, you know, they probably sent a picture of
- 1:29:49Speaker 12: somebody or something. I don't know. In all honesty, I mean,
- 1:29:52Speaker 12: you've legalized pot and a lot of other things. They
- 1:29:55Speaker 12: should probably just legalize and tax the hell out of prostitution,
- 1:30:00Speaker 12: clean it up, make sure everybody's protecting themselves so you're
- 1:30:04Speaker 12: not spreading disease and stuff like that. But there's a
- 1:30:07Speaker 12: lot worse things people could do in their lives, I guess,
- 1:30:11Speaker 12: but it never amazes me how people screw up. But
- 1:30:15Speaker 12: I think he's just bored.
- 1:30:16Speaker 2: And this has gone, these sting operations have been going
- 1:30:19Speaker 2: on for years. I'm shocked that people get stuck in
- 1:30:22Speaker 2: them to this day, that they wouldn't know better.
- 1:30:26Speaker 12: It's probably the thrill of the chase, you know, not
- 1:30:29Speaker 12: so much even the conquest, but usually when you talk
- 1:30:33Speaker 12: to people, it's when they start, you know, when you
- 1:30:36Speaker 12: were a young kid, if you were sneaking your dad's
- 1:30:38Speaker 12: booze out of a liquor cabinet.
- 1:30:39Speaker 2: Stand by. Back in a minute. News Radio 570 WKBN.
- 1:30:43Speaker 2: Ron Verp, Kingdom of Mahoney.
- 1:30:48Speaker 19: WKVN.
- 1:30:48Speaker 2: News Radio 570, WKVN 455. All right, Rich. Anyway, it.
- 1:30:59Speaker 12: Just never amazes me how smart people do dumb things. Although,
- 1:31:01Speaker 12: if you remember, Eddie Jr. lost the team when he
- 1:31:03Speaker 12: was down in, what was it, I think in New
- 1:31:06Speaker 12: Orleans or Louisiana. He lost it for gambling.
- 1:31:10Speaker 2: Yeah, I think he did get in trouble back then.
- 1:31:14Speaker 2: But now gambling's legal. Maybe as time goes on, prostitution
- 1:31:19Speaker 2: will be illegal.
- 1:31:21Speaker 12: Well, I mean, like I said, I mean, I wouldn't
- 1:31:24Speaker 12: lose any sleep over it if they legalized it. I mean,
- 1:31:27Speaker 12: legalize it, regulate it, make sure, you know, make it
- 1:31:30Speaker 12: as safe as you can and tax the heck out
- 1:31:32Speaker 12: of it. Might as well make money off of it
- 1:31:34Speaker 12: through the government. But if they have our hand in
- 1:31:37Speaker 12: everybody else's wallet, they might as well put their hand
- 1:31:39Speaker 12: in that one. But what do you think of the
- 1:31:43Speaker 12: Iran economic sanctions, Besset announced today?
- 1:31:46Speaker 2: It says, let's see, they pleaded it down to a
- 1:31:50Speaker 2: disorderly conduct, did I say on that, or something like that?
- 1:31:53Speaker 2: It was interesting what it got pleaded down to for him.
- 1:31:59Speaker 12: And ask your son. I think anything you use in
- 1:32:01Speaker 12: the commission of a crime, I think, is a criminal tool.
- 1:32:04Speaker 12: You know, computers, phones, anything. It doesn't have to be
- 1:32:07Speaker 12: a hammer and chisel or anything like that.
- 1:32:10Speaker 2: When we're talking prostitution, please don't say anything you use
- 1:32:14Speaker 2: as it could be a criminal tool. Try to use
- 1:32:17Speaker 2: different lingo just in case with that. I don't know
- 1:32:22Speaker 2: that that'd be it. A criminal tool. Could you imagine
- 1:32:24Speaker 2: if he's married going home to your wife? Oh, my God.
- 1:32:26Speaker 12: No, no, no, no, no, no.
- 1:32:29Speaker 2: I mean, really. He probably would want to spend more
- 1:32:33Speaker 2: time in jail after this as opposed to going home.
- 1:32:38Speaker 2: But what were you asking about?
- 1:32:41Speaker 12: What do you think of that? Do you look at
- 1:32:44Speaker 12: what we did to Iran today economically with the increased
- 1:32:46Speaker 12: sanctions Bessa put on today?
- 1:32:48Speaker 2: I did not. And what are they?
- 1:32:51Speaker 12: Well, basically, if you're going to help Iran, we're going
- 1:32:55Speaker 12: to take you out of the dollar system, is basically
- 1:32:57Speaker 12: what happened. The oil market liked it. Oil was down,
- 1:33:00Speaker 12: I think, about two bucks a barrel. So apparently, you know...
- 1:33:06Speaker 12: And look, if you read anything over the weekend, I
- 1:33:09Speaker 12: think Iran is hurting a lot more than what they're
- 1:33:12Speaker 12: putting on. The Iranian president actually came out and said
- 1:33:15Speaker 12: it's time that we just declare victory and put this
- 1:33:18Speaker 12: behind us because... The economy in our country is not good,
- 1:33:21Speaker 12: and that's coming from the president of Iran, who doesn't
- 1:33:24Speaker 12: have any power. The people who have the guns have
- 1:33:26Speaker 12: the power, but he's sort of like head of the government.
- 1:33:30Speaker 12: And I think he's worried that if this keeps up
- 1:33:33Speaker 12: much longer, it's probably going to foment some revolution and
- 1:33:36Speaker 12: some uprising over there. So it'll be interesting to see
- 1:33:40Speaker 12: what happens.
- 1:33:40Speaker 2: You know what? All Iran has to do to win
- 1:33:45Speaker 2: is just survive, I guess.
- 1:33:49Speaker 24: Right?
- 1:33:50Speaker 10: Power.
- 1:33:50Speaker 6: From the Money Talks investment coach, John Arnold Studios, this
- 1:33:55Speaker 6: is 570 WKBN Youngstown, an iHeartRadio station, guaranteed human.
- 1:34:01Speaker 34: The clock is ticking.
- 1:34:09Speaker 28: Elisa Brady, Fox News.
- 1:34:11Speaker 27: That message from Treasury Secretary Scott Besson saying the U.S.
- 1:34:14Speaker 27: is putting countries and other entities on notice to cut
- 1:34:17Speaker 27: economic ties with Iran.
- 1:34:18Speaker 28: Or face financial consequences.
- 1:34:20Speaker 18: We are going to hold everyone accountable, and this is
- 1:34:23Speaker 18: economic asphyxiation.
- 1:34:27Speaker 2: Of this regime.
- 1:34:28Speaker 27: Iran remains defiant, warning any support for the new sanctions
- 1:34:31Speaker 27: will be considered an act of war.
- 1:34:33Speaker 29: The secretary of Iran's National Security Council writing today, quote,
- 1:34:38Speaker 29: if the economic war continues, not a single drop of
- 1:34:41Speaker 29: oil will be exported, neither through the Strait of Hormuz
- 1:34:44Speaker 29: nor from anywhere in the Persian Gulf. But the pressure
- 1:34:47Speaker 29: is beginning to tell in Iran. Inflation is skyrocketing. The
- 1:34:52Speaker 29: availability of goods is dropping just as far.
- 1:34:56Speaker 28: Fox's Jonathan Hunt in Tel Aviv.
- 1:34:58Speaker 9: The U.S.
- 1:34:59Speaker 27: Supreme Court just clearing the way for an executive order
- 1:35:02Speaker 27: restricting mail-in voting. However, the decision appears to leave room
- 1:35:06Speaker 27: for more challenges in court with time running out to
- 1:35:09Speaker 27: make changes ahead of the midterms. Closing arguments expected this
- 1:35:13Speaker 27: week at the trial of Lindsey Clancy. Massachusetts mom charged
- 1:35:16Speaker 27: with murdering her three young children. The defense claiming postpartum psychosis.
- 1:35:21Speaker 37: The court ended for the day with one of the
- 1:35:23Speaker 37: prosecution's final two experts, forensic psychologist Dr.
- 1:35:27Speaker 19: Kirk Heilberg.
- 1:35:28Speaker 2: Now, Dr.
- 1:35:29Speaker 37: Kirk says after interviewing Lindsay Clancy. And reviewing her records,
- 1:35:33Speaker 37: he testified he does not believe Clancy killed her three
- 1:35:36Speaker 37: children because a male voice commanded her. He noted experiencing
- 1:35:41Speaker 37: a temporary auditory hallucination and never before or after is very,
- 1:35:46Speaker 37: very rare.
- 1:35:47Speaker 13: Instead, Dr.
- 1:35:47Speaker 37: Heilburn testified he believes Clancy was attempting suicide and deliberately
- 1:35:52Speaker 37: wanted to take her children with her.
- 1:35:54Speaker 27: Fox's Brian Yanez at the courthouse in Plymouth, where at
- 1:35:57Speaker 27: one point today, the judge rejected a defense motion for
- 1:36:00Speaker 27: a mistrial.

- 1:36:37Speaker 38: You never know who might be taking the quiz.
- 1:36:41Speaker 15: Hi, everyone.
- 1:36:41Speaker 19: It's Candace Cameron-Buray.
- 1:36:43Speaker 10: Hey, everyone. It's Phil Simms.
- 1:36:45Speaker 33: It's Dolores Catania.
- 1:36:46Speaker 10: Hey, everyone.
- 1:36:47Speaker 19: I'm Kix Brooks.
- 1:36:48Speaker 28: It's Candace Bushnell.
- 1:36:49Speaker 19: I'm Rob Paulson. I'm Ryan Serhan.
- 1:36:51Speaker 14: Hey, everyone.
- 1:36:52Speaker 19: I'm Nicole Palizzi.
- 1:36:53Speaker 26: Hey, everybody.
- 1:36:54Speaker 10: It's Kevin Nealon.
- 1:36:54Speaker 19: What's up, guys? It's Nia Su, and it's time to
- 1:36:56Speaker 19: take the quiz.
- 1:36:57Speaker 38: Five questions in less than five minutes every day. Listen
- 1:37:02Speaker 38: and follow at thequiz.fox.
- 1:37:06Speaker 19: Eight is on verb. On News Radio 570, WKBN.
- 1:37:09Speaker 2: All right, Rich, I'm studying the market here today. The
- 1:37:14Speaker 2: Dow was up 140, S & P' s down, NASDAQ's down,
- 1:37:18Speaker 2: and S & P 500 falls to start the week,
- 1:37:21Speaker 2: dragged down by sell-off and chip stock. Trump administration reveals
- 1:37:25Speaker 2: anti-Iran global sanction plan signals China not exempt. Is that
- 1:37:32Speaker 2: what you're talking about?
- 1:37:34Speaker 12: Yeah, I mean, I think if people are aiding Iran,
- 1:37:37Speaker 12: you're going to start to see the U.S. hit them on...
- 1:37:41Speaker 12: You have to remember, we're the world currency, so pretty
- 1:37:43Speaker 12: much everything in the world is traded in dollars. So
- 1:37:46Speaker 12: my understanding is, if you're helping Iran, we're just going
- 1:37:50Speaker 12: to cut you off from our system, so you're not
- 1:37:52Speaker 12: going to be able to convert your euros or reals
- 1:37:55Speaker 12: or whatever you're trying to convert into U.S. dollars, at
- 1:37:58Speaker 12: least not easily. And, you know, that makes your trade
- 1:38:02Speaker 12: a lot more difficult, so... So what we need to
- 1:38:04Speaker 12: do is get the Europeans on board. The Europeans, you know,
- 1:38:08Speaker 12: I don't know. We've got all these allies that really
- 1:38:11Speaker 12: aren't allies. You know, Trump, what he's doing with Canada
- 1:38:14Speaker 12: and the tariffs, he's not wrong. Most of these countries
- 1:38:17Speaker 12: screw us, and we just sit here and take it. So,
- 1:38:21Speaker 12: you know, it was kind of actually heartening to see him,
- 1:38:25Speaker 12: you know, the Canadians not reach a deal with us
- 1:38:28Speaker 12: because we're all giving everybody a sweetheart deal. We're the
- 1:38:31Speaker 12: only ones that don't get one in the world. We're
- 1:38:33Speaker 12: the ones that give it, but we never get anything
- 1:38:36Speaker 12: in return.
- 1:38:38Speaker 2: I'd be curious to see what happens. Any entity that
- 1:38:41Speaker 2: facilitates money laundering on behalf of Iran will be removed
- 1:38:44Speaker 2: from the U.S. dollar system. The plan which Trump had
- 1:38:48Speaker 2: hyped as Iran's economic D-Day quickly drew questions about whether
- 1:38:52Speaker 2: the U.S. would go after China, Tehran's top trading partner.
- 1:38:57Speaker 2: Washington and Beijing have maintained a fragile trade truce for months.
- 1:39:02Speaker 2: Bessette suggests that Monday's event that China would not be exempt.
- 1:39:06Speaker 2: We want to make clear here today that no one
- 1:39:07Speaker 2: is above the reach of the U.S. sanctions.
- 1:39:11Speaker 12: It's not going to hit China too much. They don't
- 1:39:13Speaker 12: really need to convert their currency into dollars. And that's
- 1:39:19Speaker 12: how Iran does the work around. With Russia and China,
- 1:39:23Speaker 12: they'll trade products and they'll accept Russian rubles, Chinese yuan,
- 1:39:28Speaker 12: and instead of dollars, they'll take those. But then those
- 1:39:32Speaker 12: are harder to use internationally to buy things. So they
- 1:39:36Speaker 12: got paid, but it's a much more arduous task for
- 1:39:41Speaker 12: them to then take that payment and convert it into
- 1:39:43Speaker 12: products to bring home to the country. It's going to
- 1:39:49Speaker 12: get interesting. I mean, I think what they say today,
- 1:39:51Speaker 12: it was two million, one or two million reals. I
- 1:39:54Speaker 12: think that's what I ran as a real to the dollar.
- 1:39:57Speaker 12: Could you imagine having a currency that's that deflated?
- 1:40:02Speaker 2: Trump says U.S. will hike Canada auto tariffs to 50
- 1:40:05Speaker 2: percent as trade war escalates.
- 1:40:09Speaker 4: Good.
- 1:40:12Speaker 12: I mean, you take a look at most of these
- 1:40:15Speaker 12: cars anymore. Nothing's made in this country. Chevy took everything
- 1:40:19Speaker 12: down to Mexico. I think a lot of the other
- 1:40:22Speaker 12: stuff is made up in Canada. You take a look
- 1:40:25Speaker 12: at the... I remember when I first started around here,
- 1:40:28Speaker 12: you had, I think there were 15,000 people employed at
- 1:40:31Speaker 12: Packard Electric and another 15,000 out in Wardstown. Yeah, but
- 1:40:34Speaker 12: that was... 30,000 jobs gone.
- 1:40:36Speaker 2: Technology replaced a lot of that, though.
- 1:40:39Speaker 12: Yeah, but I mean, still, there's none of them. None
- 1:40:41Speaker 12: of those jobs. Well, Mexico replaced old Packard, moved everything
- 1:40:45Speaker 12: to Mexico, I believe. because it was labor-intensive and it
- 1:40:49Speaker 12: was a lot cheaper to do it down there. Remember
- 1:40:51Speaker 12: when they said they couldn't build the blazer at Lordstown
- 1:40:54Speaker 12: because the roof wasn't tall enough or something like that? Yeah,
- 1:40:58Speaker 12: but then they were going to produce that truck out there,
- 1:41:01Speaker 12: that Lordstown truck. Apparently it was tall enough for a truck,
- 1:41:03Speaker 12: but not for a blazer. Just BS. They just wanted
- 1:41:07Speaker 12: to close that plant, and that's why they did it.
- 1:41:09Speaker 2: And they did. There you go.
- 1:41:11Speaker 14: Yep.
- 1:41:11Speaker 2: All right, Rich. Have a good one. Thank you.
- 1:41:14Speaker 12: Take care.
- 1:41:14Speaker 2: You're on air.
- 1:41:18Speaker 17: Hello?
- 1:41:18Speaker 2: Well, I don't hear them. You're on air. I'm on.
- 1:41:26Speaker 2: It's JJ.
- 1:41:28Speaker 9: How was your weekend, buddy?
- 1:41:30Speaker 2: It flies by is how it is. It just flies by,
- 1:41:33Speaker 2: doesn't it? I mean, once Friday night is here, and
- 1:41:37Speaker 2: the next thing you know, it's Monday morning. It's in
- 1:41:41Speaker 2: the blink of an eye, JJ, the blink of an eye. Yeah.
- 1:41:45Speaker 2: I'm blinking.
- 1:41:46Speaker 9: It's gone.
- 1:41:46Speaker 5: Right.
- 1:41:47Speaker 8: I had a close call this the other night.
- 1:41:49Speaker 2: Oh, what happened?
- 1:41:51Speaker 8: I was with my friend John and I, you know,
- 1:41:53Speaker 8: he was we were going out to some trailer park.
- 1:41:57Speaker 12: Yeah.
- 1:41:57Speaker 8: And I was like, this doesn't sound like you see
- 1:42:00Speaker 8: on the up and up. You know, I mean, I don't.
- 1:42:01Speaker 4: Who do you know out here?
- 1:42:02Speaker 8: And he said, don't worry about it. And, you know,
- 1:42:05Speaker 8: next thing you know, there's. You know, I had a
- 1:42:07Speaker 8: bail out of the passenger seat, and I'm tucking and rolling.
- 1:42:12Speaker 8: And so thank God I got, I don't know what
- 1:42:14Speaker 8: the heck happened. Did you hear anything on the news
- 1:42:16Speaker 8: or anything?
- 1:42:18Speaker 2: Let me say that I want to make sure I
- 1:42:20Speaker 2: get this right before you ask me if I heard
- 1:42:21Speaker 2: anything on the news. First, I'm glad you called me.
- 1:42:25Speaker 2: So you're saying you were with your friend John. Do
- 1:42:28Speaker 2: they also call him Jed, by chance, nickname Jed?
- 1:42:32Speaker 8: I don't want to get him in. We'll go with that.
- 1:42:37Speaker 2: All right, so you're saying you and your good friend
- 1:42:40Speaker 2: John were driving out.
- 1:42:42Speaker 8: Not a good friend, Clayton.
- 1:42:45Speaker 2: We're driving out to a trailer park, you were saying?
- 1:42:48Speaker 8: Yeah, he said, you want to go for a ride?
- 1:42:50Speaker 8: Are you going to go do a little shopping or something?
- 1:42:52Speaker 4: And I said, sure.
- 1:42:52Speaker 8: You know, I got some time. My wife is with
- 1:42:54Speaker 8: the boys. So, you know, I got in the car,
- 1:42:57Speaker 8: you know, driving along, listening to music, and then pulling
- 1:43:00Speaker 8: into some trailer park. And I'm like, you know, this
- 1:43:03Speaker 8: seems pretty odd here. You know, this doesn't look like
- 1:43:05Speaker 8: they sell any produce here. And so, you know, next
- 1:43:08Speaker 8: thing you know, it looks a little strange. And so I...
- 1:43:12Speaker 8: You know, I had to jump out the door and
- 1:43:14Speaker 8: tuck and roll like they told you, teach you. And
- 1:43:17Speaker 8: I tucked and rolled and hid under a bush for
- 1:43:18Speaker 8: about five hours until, you know, everything kind of, but
- 1:43:22Speaker 8: I just said, it's just kind of odd.
- 1:43:23Speaker 2: That's all.
- 1:43:23Speaker 8: And I didn't, you know, I hope everything's okay with them.
- 1:43:26Speaker 8: And I just was a little concerned. I was thumbing
- 1:43:29Speaker 8: home and finally my wife picked me up and wondered
- 1:43:31Speaker 8: what the hell I was doing out there.
- 1:43:33Speaker 2: You were thumbing home, thumbing home.
- 1:43:36Speaker 8: Yeah, because I didn't know I had my, you know,
- 1:43:37Speaker 8: I think I got my cell phone and I called
- 1:43:39Speaker 8: her and she had to take some time. I didn't
- 1:43:40Speaker 8: want to hang around the trailer parked area. I didn't
- 1:43:41Speaker 8: know what was going on. So I was just coming
- 1:43:44Speaker 8: home until she picked me up. And then I was
- 1:43:46Speaker 8: wondering why I was finding criminal tools on me. And
- 1:43:49Speaker 8: I was like, well, I would just be very criminal fools.
- 1:43:51Speaker 8: And I'm like.
- 1:43:52Speaker 15: The only one I have is between my legs, and that's.
- 1:43:54Speaker 8: You know, I was like, I don't, and I haven't
- 1:43:56Speaker 8: been charged with anything with that, so.
- 1:43:58Speaker 25: Right.
- 1:43:58Speaker 8: But anyway, it's kind of an interesting weekend air show.
- 1:44:01Speaker 2: Yeah, no, no, I haven't read anything about it lately, but.
- 1:44:07Speaker 25: Let me know if you find out anything.
- 1:44:08Speaker 8: If I hear anything.
- 1:44:10Speaker 2: You remember the song, a thumb goes up, a car
- 1:44:12Speaker 2: goes by, hitching a ride? Remember that song?
- 1:44:15Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 1:44:16Speaker 8: Yeah, wasn't it a 70s song?
- 1:44:18Speaker 4: Yes.
- 1:44:19Speaker 2: A thumb goes up, a car goes by, hitching a
- 1:44:22Speaker 2: ride back to my baby's side.
- 1:44:24Speaker 8: But I wonder, not really seriously, but..
- 1:44:30Speaker 2: First of all, folks... He is perhaps the best thespian
- 1:44:35Speaker 2: on the program these days. He is. I'm going to
- 1:44:40Speaker 2: hang up. Goodbye.
- 1:44:41Speaker 12: Goodbye.
- 1:44:41Speaker 2: He is the best thespian. He's been on a roll.
- 1:44:50Speaker 2: JJ has been on a roll. Hey, how many callers
- 1:44:55Speaker 2: called today and said, hey, I had a really exciting weekend.
- 1:44:59Speaker 2: Like he was hanging out with his buddy, John. Asked
- 1:45:03Speaker 2: me if I want to go for a ride. We
- 1:45:04Speaker 2: ended up at some trailer park. God, he almost had
- 1:45:08Speaker 2: me hook, line, and sinker there. He is so good.
- 1:45:11Speaker 2: I'm listening to JJ thinking he's telling me about his weekend.
- 1:45:16Speaker 2: And I'm buying into it hook, line, and sinker there
- 1:45:19Speaker 2: in the beginning of it. He reels me in like
- 1:45:22Speaker 2: a fish. That's how good a thespian he is. I
- 1:45:26Speaker 2: said thespian when he does that. You know, I said, oh,
- 1:45:30Speaker 2: I had to. Busy weekend, what would you do? Me
- 1:45:32Speaker 2: and my buddy John were out. We went to a
- 1:45:35Speaker 2: trailer park. I mean, I'm listening to this, and then
- 1:45:38Speaker 2: the light goes on. I never made the connection in
- 1:45:42Speaker 2: the beginning. He gets me every time. That guy's one
- 1:45:48Speaker 2: of the great actors. You're on the air.
- 1:45:52Speaker 9: Hey, you like that, what Besson did today?
- 1:45:57Speaker 2: I don't know. I just don't know. Only time will tell.
- 1:46:04Speaker 2: I'm not big on any of this. You know, I'm
- 1:46:07Speaker 2: getting a little strung out on it all because, remember,
- 1:46:11Speaker 2: it's one thing after the other. We were going to
- 1:46:12Speaker 2: bomb them down back to the Stone Age and continue
- 1:46:15Speaker 2: bombing them. Well, what happened to that?
- 1:46:17Speaker 9: No, they're going to take them back to 600 AD.
- 1:46:18Speaker 2: Yeah, well, that went away and Now we're on this.
- 1:46:22Speaker 2: We're going to give them the economic D-Day of Doom
- 1:46:25Speaker 2: Day and all this kind of stuff. And it's like, well,
- 1:46:30Speaker 2: we shall see. We shall see. You know, all they
- 1:46:33Speaker 2: got to do for them to win, all they got
- 1:46:35Speaker 2: to do is survive, really. If you think about it,
- 1:46:38Speaker 2: all Iran has to do is simply survive to win.
- 1:46:42Speaker 2: That's it. And so far, they're surviving.
- 1:46:48Speaker 9: Well, yeah. What is it, $ 2 million against one of ours?
- 1:46:53Speaker 2: Yeah, much to everybody's chagrin. They are surviving. And they're
- 1:46:58Speaker 2: not giving in. And a lot of people say, well,
- 1:47:01Speaker 2: there's a lot of unrest or this in the country.
- 1:47:03Speaker 2: I don't know anything in the country. There's like a
- 1:47:05Speaker 2: news blackout. You don't hear anything that's going on in
- 1:47:08Speaker 2: that country. So you don't know what's fact and what's fiction.
- 1:47:12Speaker 9: That's terrible.
- 1:47:13Speaker 2: Yeah, it is.
- 1:47:15Speaker 15: I mean, for the people, you know.
- 1:47:17Speaker 2: You know, I was at a get-together over the weekend.
- 1:47:21Speaker 9: You mean you were invited to a get-together?
- 1:47:23Speaker 2: Yes, I was.
- 1:47:24Speaker 3: Oh, boy.
- 1:47:26Speaker 2: I was there with my wife. And a very influential
- 1:47:32Speaker 2: person said that he listens to the program and he
- 1:47:36Speaker 2: really likes Baba Ganoush. I'm not kidding you.
- 1:47:38Speaker 26: Really?
- 1:47:39Speaker 34: Really.
- 1:47:42Speaker 2: I almost spit out my mashed potatoes. But they really
- 1:47:47Speaker 2: did say that. I'm serious.
- 1:47:51Speaker 9: That's because I'm like Rush Limbaugh. Whatever I tell you,
- 1:47:56Speaker 9: it's going to come true.
- 1:47:57Speaker 4: Really?
- 1:47:58Speaker 9: Yeah, 98% of the time. I try to tell you things,
- 1:48:03Speaker 9: and all of a sudden it came true. You never
- 1:48:05Speaker 9: gave me kudos. You've got to give me kudos when
- 1:48:09Speaker 9: I'm right.
- 1:48:11Speaker 2: Well, I try to, you know, when you're right. I'm
- 1:48:13Speaker 2: trying to think. I can't think of the last time
- 1:48:15Speaker 2: you were right, though.
- 1:48:16Speaker 12: That's the problem.
- 1:48:16Speaker 9: Oh, okay.
- 1:48:20Speaker 14: Oh, you're a good one, aren't you?
- 1:48:23Speaker 3: Listen.
- 1:48:23Speaker 2: You know what they had at this get-together? They had
- 1:48:26Speaker 2: some great food, and none of it was Mediterranean.
- 1:48:30Speaker 9: No way.
- 1:48:30Speaker 4: Yes.
- 1:48:31Speaker 8: What did they have?
- 1:48:32Speaker 2: Like beef and mashed potatoes and gravy.
- 1:48:35Speaker 12: Okay.
- 1:48:35Speaker 2: Yeah, go ahead. I don't know, it was really well done.
- 1:48:40Speaker 2: It was really well done.
- 1:48:41Speaker 9: And there were a lot of important people there, huh?
- 1:48:48Speaker 2: I was just invited as a guest of somebody, and yes,
- 1:48:52Speaker 2: there were a lot of big shots there. And it
- 1:48:56Speaker 2: was like, oh, look at this.
- 1:48:57Speaker 9: Where'd you go, Friday night? It was Friday night, right?
- 1:49:02Speaker 2: Let me think.
- 1:49:05Speaker 9: In Poland.
- 1:49:07Speaker 2: No, it was... When was that? That was a Saturday night.
- 1:49:15Speaker 4: Where at?
- 1:49:16Speaker 9: Canfield?
- 1:49:17Speaker 4: No.
- 1:49:21Speaker 9: Where would the inflation people go? I mean, they normally
- 1:49:26Speaker 9: go to.
- 1:49:26Speaker 15: Canfield or Poland.
- 1:49:27Speaker 2: Yeah. No, this was in Trumbull County.
- 1:49:32Speaker 9: Oh, Trumbull. Trumbull, okay.
- 1:49:33Speaker 6: Okay.
- 1:49:36Speaker 9: A lot of big people out there. Including your buddy
- 1:49:40Speaker 9: that runs the car lot over there in Hubbard.
- 1:49:44Speaker 2: I had a really... It was really the first time
- 1:49:47Speaker 2: I was ever at this event. But it was a
- 1:49:51Speaker 2: hell of an event.
- 1:49:53Speaker 9: Was it a Republican event?
- 1:49:55Speaker 2: It was the... What do they call it? An evening...
- 1:50:05Speaker 2: Under the Stars is what it was called.
- 1:50:08Speaker 4: Oh, okay.
- 1:50:09Speaker 2: Yeah, it was really cool. It was really cool. Really
- 1:50:12Speaker 2: good food.
- 1:50:13Speaker 12: Well, that's good.
- 1:50:15Speaker 9: Glad you had a good time with the wife.
- 1:50:17Speaker 2: I did have a good time with my wife in
- 1:50:18Speaker 2: the company that was there. Had a very enjoyable evening.
- 1:50:21Speaker 2: And then, like I say, and your name came up. Man,
- 1:50:24Speaker 2: I thought, wow, small world.
- 1:50:25Speaker 17: Well, how did it come up?
- 1:50:28Speaker 2: Because this guy says, I listen to the program and
- 1:50:30Speaker 2: I enjoy Baba Ganoush.
- 1:50:32Speaker 9: All right, there you go.
- 1:50:33Speaker 2: And he did. And I sat there and I said, wow,
- 1:50:36Speaker 2: that really surprises me.
- 1:50:38Speaker 9: So I am a mark in the sands of time.
- 1:50:43Speaker 9: I made a mark in the sands of time then, huh?
- 1:50:45Speaker 2: Well, you're no J.J.
- 1:50:47Speaker 10: J.J.
- 1:50:47Speaker 2: Is taking his game to a whole new level. His
- 1:50:50Speaker 2: thespian acting career was really phenomenal. He really reeled me in.
- 1:50:53Speaker 2: Did you hear him? Hook, line, and sinker, he had
- 1:50:56Speaker 2: me going. He brought me in halfway.
- 1:50:58Speaker 9: I'm just wondering why he rolled out the front seat.
- 1:51:01Speaker 9: He never explained.
- 1:51:02Speaker 2: You know what? I mean, he's really good.
- 1:51:04Speaker 4: J.J.
- 1:51:04Speaker 2: 's great at theater of the mind because I did
- 1:51:07Speaker 2: put it together in the beginning, and here I'm listening
- 1:51:09Speaker 2: to him, and he says, well, I had a real
- 1:51:10Speaker 2: hectic weekend.
- 1:51:12Speaker 9: Why didn't you roll out the front seat and hide
- 1:51:15Speaker 9: in the bushes?
- 1:51:15Speaker 2: The whole time he's telling this story, this tale, I'm
- 1:51:19Speaker 2: listening to the entire time, and I'm visualizing it in
- 1:51:22Speaker 2: my head, and then I realize, dirty pool, he got
- 1:51:25Speaker 2: the best of me. You know, he's acting as though
- 1:51:29Speaker 2: he was with, what, York at the trailer park trying
- 1:51:32Speaker 2: to get a prostitute. And it was kind of funny.
- 1:51:36Speaker 2: I thought it was kind of... It was really well done.
- 1:51:41Speaker 9: So he rolls out the front seat, hides in the bushes,
- 1:51:44Speaker 9: and comes his way home.
- 1:51:46Speaker 2: Yeah, for five hours, then hitches a ride home, yeah.
- 1:51:49Speaker 9: I don't believe that.
- 1:51:51Speaker 2: Right, well, of course you don't. It's theater of the
- 1:51:54Speaker 2: mind with him. He's just a... I don't.
- 1:51:59Speaker 14: Why?
- 1:51:59Speaker 2: Did you think he was telling you the truth?
- 1:52:01Speaker 14: I don't know.
- 1:52:02Speaker 9: I mean, if I told you I had a good
- 1:52:03Speaker 9: time this week, that's what I did.
- 1:52:06Speaker 2: Do you think that John York is hanging out.
- 1:52:10Speaker 9: With J.J.? I don't know who John York is.
- 1:52:14Speaker 2: He owns the 49ers.
- 1:52:18Speaker 4: He what?
- 1:52:18Speaker 9: He's the owner of 49ers? No, he ain't hanging out
- 1:52:21Speaker 9: with J.J.
- 1:52:22Speaker 2: Right, well, now you're getting it. San Francisco 49ers owner
- 1:52:26Speaker 2: John Jed York was arrested in the Valley over the
- 1:52:29Speaker 2: weekend and found guilty of two misdemeanor charges after court
- 1:52:34Speaker 2: documents state that he responded to an undercover law enforcement
- 1:52:37Speaker 2: advertisement on a prostitution website. York was arrested.
- 1:52:42Speaker 9: Now, why would he do that? He got enough money
- 1:52:43Speaker 9: to hire him.
- 1:52:45Speaker 2: York was arrested Sunday in East Palestine and posted a
- 1:52:49Speaker 2: $ 5, 000 bond.
- 1:52:50Speaker 9: He got enough money to bring him in his office.
- 1:52:54Speaker 12: Right.
- 1:52:55Speaker 2: York was arrested Sunday in East Palestine and posted a
- 1:52:58Speaker 2: $ 5, 000 bond. In affidavit states, York responded to an ad.
- 1:53:02Speaker 2: On a known prostitution website that unbeknownst to him was
- 1:53:08Speaker 2: posted by an agent of the Moaning Valley Human Trafficking
- 1:53:10Speaker 2: Task Force.
- 1:53:11Speaker 25: How about that?
- 1:53:12Speaker 2: The document states that York arranged to have sexual activity
- 1:53:15Speaker 2: with a woman in exchange for $ 140. He arrived at
- 1:53:20Speaker 2: a set location with the phone he used to arrange
- 1:53:23Speaker 2: the meeting and was taken into custody. The police report
- 1:53:26Speaker 2: lists the time and location of the arrest at 9.35 a.m.
- 1:53:30Speaker 2: at Wheat Hill Mobile Home Community off State Route 170.
- 1:53:33Speaker 2: How about that? York pleaded no contest Monday morning, misdemeanor
- 1:53:37Speaker 2: charges of disorderly conduct and possessing criminal tools. Record states
- 1:53:41Speaker 2: that he was originally charged with engaging in prostitution, but
- 1:53:45Speaker 2: it was amended to disorderly conduct as part of a
- 1:53:47Speaker 2: plea agreement. All right, so let's see. Court records show
- 1:53:50Speaker 2: York filed a motion to seal court records related to
- 1:53:53Speaker 2: the incident. That motion was denied. York was sentenced to
- 1:53:56Speaker 2: two days in Columbiana County Jail. That's what, there you go.
- 1:54:01Speaker 2: How about that?
- 1:54:01Speaker 9: How about that?
- 1:54:03Speaker 2: Yeah, how about that? I mean, how about that? I mean,
- 1:54:06Speaker 2: that's why J.J. was doing the spoof. The whole J.J.
- 1:54:09Speaker 2: spoof went right over your head.
- 1:54:10Speaker 10: It did.
- 1:54:12Speaker 2: Thank you, Bubba Ganoush. We'll be right back.
- 1:54:18Speaker 7: All right.
- 1:54:19Speaker 2: News Radio 570 WKVN 524. You're on here.
- 1:54:20Speaker 14: Hello.
- 1:54:20Speaker 19: Are you there? You're on here. Hello?
- 1:54:23Speaker 17: Yeah.
- 1:54:23Speaker 2: I got a couple things to clear up with you.
- 1:54:27Speaker 6: Okay.
- 1:54:27Speaker 2: Number one..
- 1:54:50Speaker 23: The York, that's their son.
- 1:54:52Speaker 2: Right.
- 1:54:54Speaker 9: Yeah, not the senior.
- 1:54:56Speaker 2: Right.
- 1:55:01Speaker 11: And the other one is the criminal tools thing, and
- 1:55:04Speaker 11: I know.
- 1:55:04Speaker 9: It's a laugh, but this is the way the law is.
- 1:55:08Speaker 34: Whatever you use to commit the crime.
- 1:55:13Speaker 23: Is a criminal tool.
- 1:55:15Speaker 14: You know what the criminal tool was?
- 1:55:18Speaker 2: They said everybody tells me his cell phone.
- 1:55:20Speaker 4: Procolactics.
- 1:55:22Speaker 19: Oh, really?
- 1:55:24Speaker 17: Yeah, well, it's the truth.
- 1:55:27Speaker 9: That's the way it is.
- 1:55:32Speaker 2: Yeah, I just say it's hard to figure it out,
- 1:55:35Speaker 2: that's all. It doesn't sound.
- 1:55:39Speaker 9: Like a critical tool, but it's what was used that.
- 1:55:44Speaker 23: He had to commit the crimes.
- 1:55:46Speaker 2: What does sex in a trailer park usually cost? $ 140
- 1:55:49Speaker 2: or is it less than that?
- 1:55:50Speaker 9: I have no idea.
- 1:55:53Speaker 2: Don't play stupid with me. Come on. Don't play dumb
- 1:55:57Speaker 2: with me. I know you know.
- 1:56:01Speaker 9: Okay. All right.
- 1:56:05Speaker 2: Well, when you find out, you let me know. You hear?
- 1:56:07Speaker 9: I thought I'd tell you that.
- 1:56:09Speaker 4: That's all.
- 1:56:09Speaker 2: Thank you. All right. Doing my own investigation. You're on
- 1:56:13Speaker 2: the air.
- 1:56:13Speaker 33: Oh, Ron, I'm here. This investigation, and I think it
- 1:56:19Speaker 33: would be very cheap. I mean, I don't know if
- 1:56:20Speaker 33: you buy one, get one free in the trailer park.
- 1:56:22Speaker 33: And with that kind of money, you would think you
- 1:56:24Speaker 33: would be getting..
- 1:56:25Speaker 14: Now, what could he be getting?
- 1:56:26Speaker 33: He'd be going outside the trailer park because with that
- 1:56:29Speaker 33: kind of money, you could buy a lot of things.
- 1:56:32Speaker 2: Now, what could he be thinking? I mean, you're a
- 1:56:34Speaker 2: pretty sharp..
- 1:56:34Speaker 14: What a dumbass.
- 1:56:36Speaker 2: I'm sorry. I didn't care to copy that. What did
- 1:56:37Speaker 2: you say?
- 1:56:39Speaker 3: What?
- 1:56:39Speaker 33: I mean, seriously, how dumb do you have to be
- 1:56:43Speaker 33: with that kind of money?
- 1:56:45Speaker 25: Why would you, I mean, if you were going to do.
- 1:56:47Speaker 33: Something so boneheaded with that kind of money, you could
- 1:56:51Speaker 33: make that happen probably in like.
- 1:56:53Speaker 19: Two phone calls.
- 1:56:56Speaker 2: You could go fly to Las Vegas or Nevada, I
- 1:57:00Speaker 2: should say.
- 1:57:01Speaker 13: Exactly.
- 1:57:02Speaker 33: Like, or take your little, I don't know, he probably
- 1:57:04Speaker 33: got private jets and stuff over there.
- 1:57:06Speaker 34: I mean, he could be in New York in 40 minutes.
- 1:57:09Speaker 25: He had a burning.
- 1:57:10Speaker 4: Exactly.
- 1:57:16Speaker 2: He was on the phone. Everybody knows those are cops
- 1:57:19Speaker 2: on the end of the line. I mean, it's, it's,
- 1:57:22Speaker 2: it's so well known when this is going on time
- 1:57:24Speaker 2: and time again, what would he possibly be? I actually,
- 1:57:28Speaker 2: I don't know. I'm assuming he's married. I feel sad.
- 1:57:31Speaker 2: Sorry for if he's married.
- 1:57:33Speaker 34: No, you did it.
- 1:57:36Speaker 25: No, I'm going to send you an email.
- 1:57:37Speaker 34: You don't believe it.
- 1:57:40Speaker 2: Why?
- 1:57:40Speaker 33: It's beautiful. I mean, he looks a heck of a.
- 1:57:48Speaker 25: Lot better than he does.
- 1:57:48Speaker 14: I can tell you that.
- 1:57:50Speaker 2: He's a nice-looking guy, I thought, when I looked at
- 1:57:52Speaker 2: the picture.
- 1:57:53Speaker 34: I mean, mid, I mean, at best, compared to.
- 1:57:55Speaker 33: Her, nah.
- 1:57:57Speaker 2: Oh, no, he's so nice. I'm looking at his picture here,
- 1:57:59Speaker 2: not his booking picture. I'm looking at his other picture.
- 1:58:02Speaker 2: He's a nice-looking guy. He's a nice-looking guy.
- 1:58:04Speaker 14: He's okay.
- 1:58:05Speaker 34: I mean, he's not, like, terrible, but..
- 1:58:08Speaker 2: Well, you've got to send me a picture of his wife.
- 1:58:10Speaker 2: I feel sorry for her. I mean, that's not a
- 1:58:14Speaker 2: good thing to do.
- 1:58:15Speaker 33: Somebody said he had filed for divorce or something.
- 1:58:18Speaker 2: Really?
- 1:58:18Speaker 17: I don't know.
- 1:58:20Speaker 34: Yeah, that's what somebody said.
- 1:58:21Speaker 33: That's totally speculative.
- 1:58:22Speaker 2: Yeah, you don't know that for certain.
- 1:58:24Speaker 33: Now, why he went there is not speculative.
- 1:58:28Speaker 34: He's just stupid.
- 1:58:29Speaker 33: That's like poop is in the pudding.
- 1:58:32Speaker 4: You know?
- 1:58:33Speaker 2: So you're just saying, I mean, he's just stupid for
- 1:58:36Speaker 2: doing such a thing.
- 1:58:38Speaker 34: He's so stupid.
- 1:58:39Speaker 33: I mean, like I said, with that kind of money,
- 1:58:41Speaker 33: I just sent you a picture.
- 1:58:43Speaker 2: Wait a second. Let me see if I got it here.
- 1:58:49Speaker 2: I'm sure. Let's see here. Okay.
- 1:58:54Speaker 17: All right.
- 1:58:55Speaker 2: Bring this up here. Let's see here. This computer runs
- 1:58:58Speaker 2: so damn slow, I'm ready to throw it right out
- 1:59:00Speaker 2: the window. You'd be surprised how slow this thing operates.
- 1:59:04Speaker 2: I think they must have bought this from Radio Shack
- 1:59:08Speaker 2: years ago or something.
- 1:59:10Speaker 34: Oh, my goodness.
- 1:59:11Speaker 8: Radio Shack.
- 1:59:12Speaker 34: I remember Radio Shack.
- 1:59:14Speaker 2: Wait a second.
- 1:59:14Speaker 34: Yeah, but she's very attractive.
- 1:59:17Speaker 2: I want to look here. Wait a second. Well, she
- 1:59:23Speaker 2: is very attractive. She's very pretty.
- 1:59:25Speaker 34: I mean, listen. You went from that to..
- 1:59:30Speaker 2: Oh, that's a... Yeah, right. She's a very pretty woman.
- 1:59:34Speaker 26: Very pretty.
- 1:59:34Speaker 14: Very pretty.
- 1:59:35Speaker 23: Yeah.
- 1:59:35Speaker 14: Yeah.
- 1:59:36Speaker 12: But he's a..
- 1:59:36Speaker 2: You know, I still say... Now, listen, I do really
- 1:59:40Speaker 2: good analysis. He's a handsome guy, and she's a pretty woman.
- 1:59:43Speaker 2: I mean, what would you want... Why would you want
- 1:59:45Speaker 2: to hurt her like that or break her heart like
- 1:59:47Speaker 2: that or do something like that?
- 1:59:49Speaker 25: Right, then she ain't getting her heart broke.
- 1:59:52Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean..
- 1:59:52Speaker 19: She's fine.
- 1:59:54Speaker 25: She'll be fine.
- 1:59:56Speaker 2: Stand by. I want to get further analysis from an
- 2:00:00Speaker 2: expert in the field describing what's going on.
- 2:00:03Speaker 19: News Radio 570 WKVN. An NFL owner arrested in Ohio
- 2:00:10Speaker 19: over the weekend.
- 2:00:11Speaker 35: Jed York, who owns the San Francisco 49ers, taken into
- 2:00:14Speaker 35: custody Sunday morning in East Palestine and was initially charged
- 2:00:17Speaker 35: with engaging in prostitution, but was later amended to disorderly
- 2:00:21Speaker 35: conduct as part of a plea deal. Entering a no-contest
- 2:00:23Speaker 35: plea to that and another misdemeanor charge of possession of
- 2:00:26Speaker 35: a criminal tool, York was fined $ 1, 150 and sentenced to
- 2:00:29Speaker 35: two days in jail with credit for time served. Court
- 2:00:32Speaker 35: records show that York allegedly responded to an undercover ad
- 2:00:34Speaker 35: on a known prostitution website. and had arranged to meet
- 2:00:37Speaker 35: with a woman for sexual activity and pay her $ 140.
- 2:00:41Speaker 35: Fire departments, emergency management agencies, and educational institutions across Ohio
- 2:00:45Speaker 35: are receiving grant funding from the Public Utilities Commission of Ohio,
- 2:00:49Speaker 35: which has announced $ 800, 000 in grants meant to help cover
- 2:00:52Speaker 35: the cost of training first responders to safely respond to
- 2:00:55Speaker 35: incidents involving hazardous materials. I'm Sean Galbraith.

- 2:01:07Speaker 3: Free.
- 2:01:07Speaker 10: Never sounded so good.
- 2:01:09Speaker 19: A to Z dependable services.
- 2:01:11Speaker 2: Plumbing.
- 2:01:11Speaker 19: On verb.
- 2:01:12Speaker 1: On NewsRadio 570. WKBN. All right.
- 2:01:17Speaker 2: So why do you think he did this?
- 2:01:20Speaker 34: Because he's stupid. Because he's stupid.
- 2:01:22Speaker 33: I mean, just because you got a lot of money
- 2:01:23Speaker 33: does not mean you got a lot of brain space.
- 2:01:26Speaker 2: Yeah, but wouldn't you know better than that? Wouldn't any
- 2:01:28Speaker 2: guy know today when a guy does something like that?
- 2:01:31Speaker 33: I hope his mother smacks him upside his head. You know,
- 2:01:35Speaker 33: like those hard claps, like across the ear?
- 2:01:38Speaker 12: Yeah.
- 2:01:38Speaker 9: Like, wham.
- 2:01:39Speaker 33: I hope she just walks right into the house.
- 2:01:42Speaker 34: And what's he going to do?
- 2:01:43Speaker 33: He ain't going to do anything because, I mean, he's
- 2:01:44Speaker 33: got all the money.
- 2:01:46Speaker 2: Well, plus, she's always his mother. It doesn't matter about
- 2:01:49Speaker 2: the money. It's always your mother.
- 2:01:51Speaker 9: Well, yeah.
- 2:01:51Speaker 2: I don't give a damn how old you are. You know,
- 2:01:55Speaker 2: I mean, it's still your mother, still your father. Show
- 2:01:58Speaker 2: her respect.
- 2:01:58Speaker 10: I agree.
- 2:01:59Speaker 2: And, I mean, you know, she needs to say, what
- 2:02:02Speaker 2: the hell were you thinking or doing?
- 2:02:03Speaker 14: I mean.
- 2:02:04Speaker 2: Embarrassing.
- 2:02:07Speaker 14: Yeah.
- 2:02:09Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 2:02:09Speaker 2: But, I mean, everything passes in time now. But, I mean,
- 2:02:12Speaker 2: it's like I just try to figure it out. That's all.
- 2:02:16Speaker 2: I mean, I just try. I'm just trying to. figure
- 2:02:18Speaker 2: it out and.
- 2:02:19Speaker 34: Like, I think we need to send JJ.
- 2:02:22Speaker 9: He was, where was it?
- 2:02:23Speaker 25: East Palestine.
- 2:02:25Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 2:02:25Speaker 13: Yeah.
- 2:02:26Speaker 34: And see if he can do some reporting.
- 2:02:28Speaker 4: Yes.
- 2:02:29Speaker 2: Yes, like he did.
- 2:02:30Speaker 25: Maybe we'll have him call the line. Call him, have
- 2:02:33Speaker 25: him call the hotline.
- 2:02:34Speaker 14: And see what happens.
- 2:02:34Speaker 13: Yeah.
- 2:02:35Speaker 25: See if he can get an appointment.
- 2:02:38Speaker 2: Yeah, talk to the cops and see. You know what, JJ?
- 2:02:42Speaker 2: He would be negotiating the price, $ 140. What do I
- 2:02:44Speaker 2: get for the $ 140? What about $ 80? What do I
- 2:02:48Speaker 2: get for $ 80? Do you have a senior citizen discount?
- 2:02:52Speaker 6: No.
- 2:02:53Speaker 34: I think we should.
- 2:02:54Speaker 25: I think, come on, JJ, you got to take one
- 2:02:56Speaker 25: for the team here.
- 2:02:57Speaker 34: We need to know what's going on. We need to
- 2:02:58Speaker 34: know how this whole.
- 2:02:59Speaker 19: Thing went down.
- 2:03:00Speaker 25: I mean, I can't do it, but JJ could do it.
- 2:03:04Speaker 2: His wife looks like a pretty cheerleader to me when
- 2:03:06Speaker 2: I look at this picture.
- 2:03:07Speaker 25: She's a very pretty, very pretty woman.
- 2:03:09Speaker 2: Yeah, nice hair, nice smile.
- 2:03:12Speaker 34: Yeah, I hope she had a good sort of contract.
- 2:03:17Speaker 2: Well, like Hillary Clinton forgave Bill for all it is.
- 2:03:20Speaker 12: Oh, gosh.
- 2:03:21Speaker 2: Well, she did.
- 2:03:23Speaker 25: She really didn't.
- 2:03:25Speaker 33: She was stabbing him in the middle of the night.
- 2:03:27Speaker 33: She pretended like she did.
- 2:03:30Speaker 2: Well, do you remember one of the biggest betrayals ever?
- 2:03:33Speaker 2: I'm going to announce one of the biggest betrayals ever
- 2:03:36Speaker 2: publicly that people can think of. And this was huge.
- 2:03:39Speaker 2: Remember when Frank Gifford cheated on Kathy Lee?
- 2:03:43Speaker 14: Oh, my gosh.
- 2:03:44Speaker 34: Yes, it was devastating.
- 2:03:45Speaker 33: And I remember watching that.
- 2:03:47Speaker 25: Oh, I remember.
- 2:03:49Speaker 8: I do remember.
- 2:03:50Speaker 2: She would be on there talking about him as the
- 2:03:52Speaker 2: love machine and all this kind of stuff. And then
- 2:03:57Speaker 2: that happens. But Kathie Lee did not divorce him. Wasn't
- 2:04:01Speaker 2: that something?
- 2:04:01Speaker 34: No, she didn't.
- 2:04:02Speaker 8: No, she didn't.
- 2:04:03Speaker 34: I always liked her.
- 2:04:05Speaker 8: I always liked Cassie Lee.
- 2:04:06Speaker 2: And she stuck it out and stuck by his side.
- 2:04:09Speaker 19: Yeah, no, I mean..
- 2:04:12Speaker 2: Then he died. She forgave him, I guess. But I'm
- 2:04:15Speaker 2: sure it had to be a very tense time for
- 2:04:17Speaker 2: the love machine.
- 2:04:18Speaker 34: Oh, I'm sure it was. Because it's public, too. I mean,
- 2:04:21Speaker 34: it's all public.
- 2:04:22Speaker 5: I mean..
- 2:04:22Speaker 34: Just like this Nimrod.
- 2:04:24Speaker 2: Well, like, you got Bill Clinton who did it, and
- 2:04:27Speaker 2: Hillary kind of..
- 2:04:30Speaker 25: He did not have sexual relations with that woman.
- 2:04:32Speaker 34: What are you talking about? No, he did not.
- 2:04:35Speaker 2: And he would have stayed with that and tried to
- 2:04:37Speaker 2: make her out as a nut. In all seriousness, he
- 2:04:39Speaker 2: would have done that if she didn't have the evidence.
- 2:04:42Speaker 2: And when that materialized, yes, and when that materialized, he
- 2:04:46Speaker 2: had to admit that he was less than truthful. I'm
- 2:04:51Speaker 2: trying to think of other big ones. That was the
- 2:04:53Speaker 2: biggest one I can remember, though, is Kathie Lee Gifford.
- 2:04:55Speaker 2: That one was a shocker. That one was an absolute shocker.
- 2:04:58Speaker 2: It was like, what?
- 2:05:00Speaker 33: I am frustrated on two fronts. One, I think that
- 2:05:04Speaker 33: people are stupid. And two, I'm really frustrated about this
- 2:05:09Speaker 33: Deshaun Watson.
- 2:05:12Speaker 34: Quarterback decision.
- 2:05:14Speaker 2: Why does that?
- 2:05:16Speaker 34: I love the door.
- 2:05:17Speaker 33: And I hate the Browns. He's the only reason why
- 2:05:20Speaker 33: it's exciting anymore.
- 2:05:23Speaker 14: It's exciting.
- 2:05:23Speaker 34: Shador brings a.
- 2:05:24Speaker 33: Smile to my face.
- 2:05:25Speaker 34: He's so positive.
- 2:05:27Speaker 33: He's like a shining, real positive.
- 2:05:30Speaker 34: You know, his faith.
- 2:05:31Speaker 33: I love his dad. I love his family environment. And
- 2:05:35Speaker 33: now you've got this.
- 2:05:36Speaker 25: Bum over here that the Browns paid.
- 2:05:40Speaker 33: Way too much money for. And they're just going to
- 2:05:44Speaker 33: die on that hill with this bum.
- 2:05:45Speaker 2: And he's been terrible. I mean, his track record has
- 2:05:48Speaker 2: gone awful.
- 2:05:50Speaker 4: I don't know.
- 2:05:51Speaker 33: I feel like he's bringing so much energy.
- 2:05:53Speaker 34: He's bringing excitement.
- 2:05:54Speaker 33: People like me who absolutely cannot stand the Browns are
- 2:05:57Speaker 33: the worst losing a franchise in football history. I hate
- 2:05:59Speaker 33: them so bad. I can't even stand Browns fans. They
- 2:06:02Speaker 33: get excited every year and every year. They're just more
- 2:06:05Speaker 33: pathetic and more pathetic because they just keep buying tickets
- 2:06:08Speaker 33: and they still buy $ 10 hot dogs. And I could
- 2:06:10Speaker 33: never continue to contribute to something so bad. But they
- 2:06:14Speaker 33: stick in there and they keep going. Every game, they
- 2:06:18Speaker 33: show up, they buy the hot dogs, they sit in
- 2:06:21Speaker 33: the dog pound, act like animals, and their team sucks
- 2:06:24Speaker 33: every year. It's the most pathetic thing I've ever seen
- 2:06:27Speaker 33: in my life. Now you've got a guy who's so exciting.
- 2:06:31Speaker 14: He's got passion.
- 2:06:33Speaker 25: You know, he's young.
- 2:06:34Speaker 33: I like his energy, his vibe. He's got the number
- 2:06:37Speaker 33: one selling brown jersey.
- 2:06:39Speaker 8: And I think he's actually ranked in the NFL.
- 2:06:43Speaker 33: And people want to see him.
- 2:06:45Speaker 2: But you're saying you're not a Browns fan. Does that
- 2:06:46Speaker 2: mean you're a Steelers fan?
- 2:06:47Speaker 4: I hate them.
- 2:06:48Speaker 2: Are you a Steelers fan?
- 2:06:50Speaker 25: Yeah.
- 2:06:51Speaker 33: I mean, I've always grew up a Steelers fan. My
- 2:06:53Speaker 33: whole family is Steelers fans.
- 2:06:55Speaker 2: Really?
- 2:06:56Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 2:06:57Speaker 9: Yeah.
- 2:06:58Speaker 33: But at least the Steelers are a winning franchise. I mean,
- 2:07:01Speaker 33: they haven't been great lately, but at least they're a
- 2:07:03Speaker 33: winning franchise. I mean, I couldn't even imagine.
- 2:07:06Speaker 25: Every year, my father-in-law, he loves the brunch.
- 2:07:08Speaker 34: So, oh, this is going to be the year. I'm like, oh,
- 2:07:11Speaker 34: my God. I walk away. It's like you're self-masochist. Like
- 2:07:15Speaker 34: you inflict pain on yourself. Every year, I.
- 2:07:18Speaker 33: Just couldn't do it.
- 2:07:19Speaker 2: I've just given up on all of them. I'm now
- 2:07:21Speaker 2: big into the WNBA.
- 2:07:25Speaker 34: I love her. She's my favorite.
- 2:07:28Speaker 25: I love her.
- 2:07:28Speaker 34: She's my spirit animal. I love her.
- 2:07:30Speaker 2: Who? Caitlin Clark?
- 2:07:34Speaker 33: No.
- 2:07:35Speaker 28: Sophie Cunningham.
- 2:07:37Speaker 33: You know who's got a.
- 2:07:39Speaker 19: Big crush on her?
- 2:07:41Speaker 2: Denny from Rock Creek. It's almost kind of creepy.
- 2:07:46Speaker 34: I mean, you love it.
- 2:07:47Speaker 25: I know.
- 2:07:48Speaker 34: You say it's a little bit obsessive.
- 2:07:49Speaker 33: I mean, I don't know.
- 2:07:50Speaker 34: But she's adorable. And she's tough.
- 2:07:54Speaker 33: And I just love it. I love the whole finger
- 2:07:57Speaker 33: pointing thing.
- 2:07:58Speaker 2: But you know WNBA wouldn't be anywhere without Kaitlyn Clark.
- 2:08:01Speaker 4: Not.
- 2:08:02Speaker 34: Nope. It would not be anywhere. They hate her.
- 2:08:05Speaker 2: And they hate her.
- 2:08:06Speaker 34: Because finally, and here's the thing.
- 2:08:08Speaker 33: I mean, because honestly, basketball has been African-American dominated sport.
- 2:08:14Speaker 7: They do.
- 2:08:15Speaker 33: But now you've got two white chicks out of the
- 2:08:17Speaker 33: blue who can ball.
- 2:08:18Speaker 12: Right.
- 2:08:20Speaker 33: They could play and they're good and they could play
- 2:08:23Speaker 33: better than, and it's like, I don't understand the big
- 2:08:26Speaker 33: target on their back.
- 2:08:27Speaker 34: Cause they're bringing again, a lot of energy past.
- 2:08:30Speaker 33: And nobody watched the WNBA.
- 2:08:32Speaker 4: What?
- 2:08:32Speaker 15: No one cared.
- 2:08:35Speaker 25: But like when you got that, it's so good for
- 2:08:37Speaker 25: the franchise.
- 2:08:38Speaker 34: It's good for rivalry. It's good for, it's good for,
- 2:08:40Speaker 34: it's good for everything. I mean, it's good for people
- 2:08:42Speaker 34: in general. I don't understand it.
- 2:08:45Speaker 33: I want the door to start.
- 2:08:46Speaker 34: Who do I have to call?
- 2:08:47Speaker 33: Cause nobody's listening.
- 2:08:50Speaker 2: Call John York.
- 2:08:52Speaker 34: Can I call York?
- 2:08:53Speaker 2: Yeah. All right, boss lady. God bless.
- 2:09:00Speaker 4: Thank you.
- 2:09:01Speaker 2: It's the boss lady. With some great analysis. There's the
- 2:09:08Speaker 2: Boss Lady analysis. Why do you think John York did that?
- 2:09:11Speaker 2: Because he's stupid. Spoken like a true woman, right? Like
- 2:09:15Speaker 2: a true woman. Great female analysis. Boss Lady, why do
- 2:09:19Speaker 2: you think John York tried doing something like that with
- 2:09:22Speaker 2: a prostitute? Because he's stupid. Spoken like an Italian woman
- 2:09:29Speaker 2: would speak. You're on the air.
- 2:09:31Speaker 17: Hello.
- 2:09:32Speaker 2: Hi, Ross. Miguel, the guru of Gerard on the end
- 2:09:36Speaker 2: of the line.
- 2:09:38Speaker 8: Hey, yeah.
- 2:09:39Speaker 3: Today was the first day I went and taught. It
- 2:09:42Speaker 3: was great.
- 2:09:44Speaker 2: Oh, that's right. You're actually a college professor now.
- 2:09:49Speaker 17: I am.
- 2:09:50Speaker 2: You know, you have to wear, you've got to get
- 2:09:51Speaker 2: a sports coat that has those patches on the arms,
- 2:09:54Speaker 2: you know, like where your elbows are.
- 2:09:56Speaker 10: That's what I wore.
- 2:09:57Speaker 4: It's sweet. I wore it.
- 2:09:59Speaker 2: Yeah, it's almost required. You've got to get that.
- 2:10:03Speaker 10: Yeah, it was really nice.
- 2:10:05Speaker 3: Everybody's really nice. Campus is nice. Students are nice.
- 2:10:08Speaker 17: Everybody's nice.
- 2:10:10Speaker 2: Why is U.S. a beautiful campus? It really is. Were
- 2:10:14Speaker 2: you on a main campus?
- 2:10:16Speaker 3: Yes.
- 2:10:17Speaker 2: Well, then you're pretty lucky, and it's a decent-sized class?
- 2:10:21Speaker 8: Yeah, I mean, it's.
- 2:10:25Speaker 3: A graduate-level course, so, you know, it's a good site.
- 2:10:27Speaker 3: It's not one of those big, huge ones. Although I
- 2:10:32Speaker 3: may have picked up a few students even just walking out.
- 2:10:35Speaker 3: People were asking me stuff.
- 2:10:37Speaker 4: So, we'll see.
- 2:10:38Speaker 2: I was just reading as you were talking some emails.
- 2:10:41Speaker 2: And somebody had emailed me saying, according to the New
- 2:10:44Speaker 2: York Post, you know, York's spouse filed for divorce two
- 2:10:49Speaker 2: months ago. They have two boys. Okay. So, some guy
- 2:10:54Speaker 2: emailed that to me. I was unaware of that. So,
- 2:10:56Speaker 2: maybe that's why he did it. Maybe he says, you know. Yeah.
- 2:11:01Speaker 3: So that gives him, like, no reason not to utilize
- 2:11:04Speaker 3: his money to do something more less illegal.
- 2:11:11Speaker 2: Why didn't he just say, okay, well, try to meet
- 2:11:15Speaker 2: a new woman. Try to find another good... That's what
- 2:11:18Speaker 2: I'm saying.
- 2:11:18Speaker 3: You know, I mean, he could have arranged a million
- 2:11:22Speaker 3: things that he would have arrested you for.
- 2:11:24Speaker 4: Right.
- 2:11:25Speaker 2: I mean, but going to a trailer park to have prostitution...
- 2:11:28Speaker 2: Sex with a prostitute with its undercover cop. There's a shocker.
- 2:11:34Speaker 3: Yeah, like, did you bring a bodyguard or something?
- 2:11:36Speaker 14: I don't know.
- 2:11:37Speaker 2: I would be kind of nervous about it. Wouldn't you?
- 2:11:39Speaker 3: Sure.
- 2:11:41Speaker 4: Maybe.
- 2:11:41Speaker 3: I mean, realistically, maybe he did it because he figured
- 2:11:45Speaker 3: she might not know who he really was or something.
- 2:11:48Speaker 3: You know? I mean, it didn't work out for him.
- 2:11:50Speaker 2: I don't know how long he was married, but he
- 2:11:54Speaker 2: has a beautiful wife. I'll say that. Very attractive woman.
- 2:11:59Speaker 7: Yeah, I don't know.
- 2:12:00Speaker 3: I mean, I feel bad the whole thing came to that.
- 2:12:03Speaker 3: I must say I am more depressed about the Deshaun
- 2:12:07Speaker 3: Watson decision than the prostitution decision, even though they're both
- 2:12:13Speaker 3: indirectly related to football.
- 2:12:14Speaker 2: You're upset with Deshaun Watson, too?
- 2:12:18Speaker 3: Yeah, I don't like him.
- 2:12:19Speaker 9: I never did.
- 2:12:20Speaker 3: I just don't like his attitude. I don't think he's
- 2:12:22Speaker 3: a leader. I never did. I was a Baker Mayfield guy.
- 2:12:31Speaker 2: Oh, yeah. Look how well he's done since he left
- 2:12:34Speaker 2: the Browns.
- 2:12:36Speaker 22: Yeah.
- 2:12:38Speaker 28: Yep.
- 2:12:39Speaker 2: I mean, he's done really well once he got rid
- 2:12:42Speaker 2: of that, right?
- 2:12:44Speaker 26: Yeah.
- 2:12:46Speaker 12: Yeah, no, seriously.
- 2:12:46Speaker 3: He's just, you know, he's just not a leader. You know,
- 2:12:51Speaker 3: guys don't rally around him. He's just, like, there. You know,
- 2:12:55Speaker 3: and if he's Maybe at one time he was really good,
- 2:12:57Speaker 3: I don't know, but he's not good enough to have
- 2:13:00Speaker 3: his attitude.
- 2:13:02Speaker 2: You know, the strange part about it is, I appreciate
- 2:13:06Speaker 2: your insight into it, but you know, when the boss
- 2:13:09Speaker 2: lady said it, it carried a lot of weight with
- 2:13:10Speaker 2: me when she said it. She really was upset with
- 2:13:13Speaker 2: the whole decision. She thought that they took a lot
- 2:13:15Speaker 2: of the mojo away from the team.
- 2:13:18Speaker 7: Totally.
- 2:13:18Speaker 3: I think, if at all, they gave him this first
- 2:13:24Speaker 3: game because it's a win. and the fans can't destroy him.
- 2:13:28Speaker 3: But if he doesn't come out of that first game
- 2:13:32Speaker 3: with a convincing win, I'll tell you what, that next
- 2:13:37Speaker 3: home game, whoa, I don't even want to see it.
- 2:13:40Speaker 3: Because they're just, you know, they're just going to go
- 2:13:45Speaker 3: after him. Which I don't like doing that either. I just,
- 2:13:48Speaker 3: I wish that he was just going to create this.
- 2:13:52Speaker 2: I mean, I probably listen to the Browns more than
- 2:13:56Speaker 2: I watch them. We carry them on our sister station,
- 2:13:58Speaker 2: 93.3 The Wolf. But I listen to them more than
- 2:14:01Speaker 2: I actually watch them. And it's just like, of course,
- 2:14:05Speaker 2: the Guardians have been a little bit more on a
- 2:14:07Speaker 2: winning streak. But, I mean, what is it with the Guardians?
- 2:14:09Speaker 2: They always seem to suffer after the All-Star break. But
- 2:14:14Speaker 2: at least they've been winning a few. But the Browns
- 2:14:17Speaker 2: have been– the last time I can say that I
- 2:14:19Speaker 2: was real excited about the Browns was with Flacco. He
- 2:14:24Speaker 2: brought some excitement to it.
- 2:14:25Speaker 4: Oh, yeah, I was.
- 2:14:26Speaker 17: For sure.
- 2:14:27Speaker 2: I mean, it was just..
- 2:14:27Speaker 3: I want to see Sanders play just because, you know,
- 2:14:30Speaker 3: we're at that now. But, yeah, I was whacking for Flacco.
- 2:14:34Speaker 3: I even bought a shirt that said that. Whacking for Flacco.
- 2:14:37Speaker 2: You know, and it's like, it seemed to me they
- 2:14:40Speaker 2: gave him a raw deal.
- 2:14:42Speaker 10: And..
- 2:14:44Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 2:14:44Speaker 2: Yes.
- 2:14:46Speaker 3: They never should have put Watson in over him.
- 2:14:49Speaker 27: Yeah.
- 2:14:51Speaker 2: Yeah, I never really understood that. But that was the
- 2:14:53Speaker 2: last time And I'll, of course, like every idiot, I'll
- 2:14:57Speaker 2: be following the Browns again, just dying with it every season, thinking,
- 2:15:00Speaker 2: why am I doing this? I'm like a glutton for punishment.
- 2:15:04Speaker 2: A factory of sadness. Yeah. What did Melfi call it?
- 2:15:10Speaker 2: The factory of sadness.
- 2:15:11Speaker 4: Yeah, the new stadium.
- 2:15:13Speaker 17: The factory.
- 2:15:14Speaker 3: The factory of sadness.
- 2:15:17Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 2:15:18Speaker 12: It's true.
- 2:15:18Speaker 2: You've got to remember that. I've got to remember that,
- 2:15:20Speaker 2: the factory of sadness.
- 2:15:22Speaker 12: I've reminded you twice now.
- 2:15:24Speaker 3: You'll be ready for next Thursday.
- 2:15:27Speaker 2: Yeah, but I still love listening to Bob Hannon and YSU.
- 2:15:32Speaker 2: I absolutely thoroughly enjoy it. I mean, I really do.
- 2:15:37Speaker 2: And there's another case. You keep hoping for a better year,
- 2:15:41Speaker 2: but we shall see. I like the quarterback. I even
- 2:15:44Speaker 2: like the coach. I like the team. I'd like to
- 2:15:47Speaker 2: see things work out, hopefully, for YSU.
- 2:15:50Speaker 17: I hope for it.
- 2:15:52Speaker 4: Yeah, that would be nice.
- 2:15:54Speaker 2: All right. Well, I'm glad your first day went well.
- 2:15:58Speaker 12: Yes, wonderful.
- 2:15:59Speaker 7: I love it.
- 2:16:00Speaker 2: God bless. Thank you, Michael. The guru of Girard. He
- 2:16:03Speaker 2: is the guru. You want to know what's going on
- 2:16:05Speaker 2: in Girard? He knows. You're on the air.
- 2:16:08Speaker 14: Mr. Burb.
- 2:16:09Speaker 2: Fifth Avenue.
- 2:16:11Speaker 7: I wish they all could be California girls.
- 2:16:15Speaker 2: Wasn't that a great song?
- 2:16:17Speaker 14: Yep.
- 2:16:18Speaker 12: I wish they all.
- 2:16:19Speaker 7: Could be California girls. Isn't that wonderful?
- 2:16:22Speaker 10: He's worth $ 8.
- 2:16:23Speaker 7: 5 billion.
- 2:16:25Speaker 18: Really?
- 2:16:25Speaker 2: 8.
- 2:16:25Speaker 7: 5 billion. That's what he's worth. But I got a
- 2:16:32Speaker 7: better one for you. It gets better.
- 2:16:34Speaker 4: Yes.
- 2:16:36Speaker 7: Are you ready?
- 2:16:36Speaker 2: I'm ready.
- 2:16:37Speaker 7: It involves Donald Trump.
- 2:16:44Speaker 2: Okay, Donald Trump. What about it? Was Donald Trump with
- 2:16:47Speaker 2: him at the trailer park?
- 2:16:50Speaker 7: No.
- 2:16:50Speaker 25: I wish.
- 2:16:51Speaker 4: I wish.
- 2:16:52Speaker 12: I wish.
- 2:16:53Speaker 25: I wish.
- 2:16:54Speaker 7: Oh, my God, Nevin.
- 2:16:55Speaker 4: I wish.
- 2:16:57Speaker 7: No, he was not there.
- 2:17:00Speaker 2: Well, what involves Donald Trump? Now I want to know.
- 2:17:05Speaker 7: He's already pardoned his uncle. Do you remember his uncle
- 2:17:13Speaker 7: when he got in trouble with the governor down in Louisiana?
- 2:17:17Speaker 4: No.
- 2:17:17Speaker 2: Who's his uncle? I don't know who his uncle is.
- 2:17:22Speaker 7: The previous owner of the 49ers.
- 2:17:26Speaker 2: Oh, you're saying Trump pardoned DeBartolo.
- 2:17:32Speaker 7: Trump pardoned DeBartolo. That's what I said.
- 2:17:34Speaker 2: I thought you said DeBartolo.
- 2:17:36Speaker 7: But I thought you knew that. I thought you knew
- 2:17:38Speaker 7: who I was talking about.
- 2:17:39Speaker 2: I was thinking Trump pardoned Trump's uncle, meaning his uncle.
- 2:17:44Speaker 10: No, no, no, no.
- 2:17:45Speaker 7: Trump pardoned Jared, John, Jared, whatever his name is, Jed DeBartolo,
- 2:17:50Speaker 7: or Jed York's uncle, Eddie DeBartolo.
- 2:17:54Speaker 2: Oh, okay.
- 2:17:54Speaker 12: All right.
- 2:17:55Speaker 7: Trump's already pardoned him. So there's no worry. Don't worry.
- 2:17:59Speaker 7: Trump will step in.
- 2:18:01Speaker 2: Well, yeah, but he doesn't need to stand by for
- 2:18:04Speaker 2: a second. Fifth Avenue with his legal analysis of it all.
- 2:18:09Speaker 2: Back with him in a minute. Stay tuned.
- 2:18:15Speaker 19: It's Bill Wills with Michael Klaben Sr.

- 2:19:06Speaker 28: Certain restrictions apply.
- 2:19:07Speaker 21: Call for details.
- 2:19:16Speaker 19: The future of cornhole is here. 570-WKBN.
- 2:19:19Speaker 2: All right. It's really something to see him do something
- 2:19:24Speaker 2: like that, isn't it?
- 2:19:27Speaker 7: Well, don't surprise me one bit.
- 2:19:29Speaker 2: Why not? I guess I'm shocked by that kind of stuff.
- 2:19:34Speaker 7: They need that adrenaline rush some way or another.
- 2:19:39Speaker 5: Really?
- 2:19:39Speaker 7: All the money in the world doesn't provide it. So
- 2:19:43Speaker 7: they do what they can to get that adrenaline rush.
- 2:19:46Speaker 7: You know it as well as I do.
- 2:19:48Speaker 2: It doesn't make sense to me. I mean, you know,
- 2:19:50Speaker 2: when I was... Unless this news article was that he
- 2:19:55Speaker 2: was getting a divorce like two months ago or something
- 2:19:57Speaker 2: like that. He had a nice-looking wife. And he's a
- 2:20:02Speaker 2: nice-looking guy. Why would he want to have sex with
- 2:20:04Speaker 2: a prostitute in a trailer park? Can you explain that
- 2:20:10Speaker 2: to me?
- 2:20:11Speaker 23: No, I can't.
- 2:20:12Speaker 7: No, I cannot. No, I cannot.
- 2:20:14Speaker 26: It doesn't make any sense.
- 2:20:16Speaker 7: Logically, it doesn't make any sense. Of course not. He
- 2:20:19Speaker 7: could have hopped on a jet and gone over to Amsterdam,
- 2:20:23Speaker 7: and he could have done everything he wanted to do,
- 2:20:26Speaker 7: and it's legal over there.
- 2:20:29Speaker 4: Right.
- 2:20:30Speaker 7: So why does he go to... I don't know.
- 2:20:34Speaker 6: Who knows?
- 2:20:34Speaker 7: Who knows what goes through these guys, heads that have
- 2:20:38Speaker 7: this kind of money?
- 2:20:39Speaker 25: Who knows?
- 2:20:40Speaker 2: But it wasn't even... It was $ 140 is what they
- 2:20:41Speaker 2: were saying. For this sexual activity.
- 2:20:46Speaker 4: 140.
- 2:20:46Speaker 2: Oh, maybe it was.
- 2:20:50Speaker 7: Going down there to investigate the train incident that happened
- 2:20:55Speaker 7: six years ago.
- 2:20:56Speaker 2: That was in East Palestine. I thought this was in
- 2:20:58Speaker 2: East Liverpool.
- 2:21:00Speaker 7: No, East Palestine. He was in East Palestine. Not East Liverpool.
- 2:21:04Speaker 7: East Palestine.
- 2:21:08Speaker 2: I just can't figure it out, you know what I mean?
- 2:21:10Speaker 2: And I'm sure he's regretting it. I mean, people make mistakes.
- 2:21:14Speaker 2: It's like, you know, life will go on. What would
- 2:21:17Speaker 2: I say? Here's what I would say. I would counsel him.
- 2:21:19Speaker 2: I would say, John, listen, you made a stupid mistake.
- 2:21:23Speaker 2: It's going to be embarrassing, but the sun will come
- 2:21:25Speaker 2: up tomorrow and life will go on. We'll forget about
- 2:21:27Speaker 2: it and we'll move on. Try to be a better man.
- 2:21:30Speaker 2: You know, don't disappoint your mother anymore. Try to be
- 2:21:35Speaker 2: a better man. And for God's sakes, have respect for
- 2:21:39Speaker 2: women and try to meet a good woman. You know, maybe, John,
- 2:21:43Speaker 2: here's what I would say. I'd say, John, maybe you
- 2:21:44Speaker 2: need to get God back in your life. And you
- 2:21:49Speaker 2: should strive to be a better man. And I'm sorry
- 2:21:51Speaker 2: you're going through this divorce. But the sun will come
- 2:21:53Speaker 2: up tomorrow and life will go on and you'll be
- 2:21:56Speaker 2: all right. Just give it time.
- 2:21:58Speaker 7: All right, Reverend Ferb, I get it.
- 2:22:03Speaker 25: The thing is, Trump's involved.
- 2:22:06Speaker 7: He's already involved.
- 2:22:07Speaker 4: With that family.
- 2:22:08Speaker 2: He doesn't need to pardon him. His charges are long.
- 2:22:12Speaker 7: The only reason I'm mentioning it is because I saw
- 2:22:18Speaker 7: it in print. I'm making this up out of my
- 2:22:21Speaker 7: own head.
- 2:22:21Speaker 2: I understand it. You seem a little angry today. What's
- 2:22:24Speaker 2: for dinner?
- 2:22:26Speaker 7: Oh, I got leftovers today. I made some sloppy joes,
- 2:22:31Speaker 7: and I put it over a nice– I got a
- 2:22:35Speaker 7: hot dog here that's not just a regular hot dog,
- 2:22:37Speaker 7: but it's just a good hot dog. And I put this–
- 2:22:40Speaker 7: if you went to the hot dog show, you couldn't
- 2:22:42Speaker 7: get a better hot dog than what I make with
- 2:22:44Speaker 7: the sauce I put on top.
- 2:22:46Speaker 2: I'll tell you this much. You want to bet? I
- 2:22:50Speaker 2: think the best chili dog– and I'm talking just hot
- 2:22:53Speaker 2: dog and chili, right? Hot dog and chili.
- 2:22:55Speaker 7: Hot dog and chili. I've got it right here at
- 2:22:57Speaker 7: my computer. I'll make you one.
- 2:22:58Speaker 6: All right.
- 2:22:59Speaker 2: Well, you go. When you're sometime in my neck of
- 2:23:01Speaker 2: the woods, if you are on Raccoon Road in Austintown,
- 2:23:03Speaker 2: go to Hot Dog Alley right there on Raccoon Road
- 2:23:05Speaker 2: and just get a chili dog. It's the best chili dog.
- 2:23:09Speaker 2: The chili is really good. It's not all juicy. It's
- 2:23:11Speaker 2: actual chili. It's really delicious. You'll really enjoy it.
- 2:23:15Speaker 25: I know.
- 2:23:15Speaker 7: Same here with mine. But I had to call you.
- 2:23:18Speaker 7: I had to call you about Trump's involvement with his
- 2:23:21Speaker 7: uncle who pardoned him from his... Miss Givings when he
- 2:23:26Speaker 7: was involved with that situation down in Louisiana.
- 2:23:29Speaker 2: Thank you.
- 2:23:29Speaker 12: Have a good night.
