- 0:41Speaker 1: Here's Bill Handle. It is a Tuesday.
- 0:45Speaker 2: Morning, June sixteenth, morning, everybody, and another day it would
- 0:51Speaker 2: be another hour, a dollar, it would be another dollar.
- 0:54Speaker 2: But we work at iHeart, so it's fair to say
- 0:55Speaker 2: another day, another eighty cents.
- 0:58Speaker 1: And here we go.
- 0:59Speaker 2: A quick hello to everyone, ConA morning, Good morning, Bill.
- 1:03Speaker 2: They are Will the Cole schreiber Man. Good morning, excellent, Neil,
- 1:10Speaker 2: good morning.
- 1:11Speaker 1: Good morning.
- 1:12Speaker 2: How you doing on the weight loss? Another are two
- 1:14Speaker 2: three pounds since we last talk.
- 1:15Speaker 1: Since this morning one and a half pounds. I mean
- 1:19Speaker 1: it's flying off, it really is.
- 1:22Speaker 2: I mean we are pretty close to Neil as a
- 1:26Speaker 2: second job. We'll be calling speak Steven Spielberg ask him
- 1:30Speaker 2: if he's going to do another Holocaust movie.
- 1:32Speaker 4: Oh, that's wrong with you plenty. You're going towards et
- 1:36Speaker 4: on that one. I know.
- 1:37Speaker 3: I was like, where is he?
- 1:39Speaker 1: Yeah?
- 1:41Speaker 2: Uh, Heather who is in this week for Amy?
- 1:44Speaker 1: Good morning? Heather, good morning, And certainly not least, but
- 1:49Speaker 1: certainly they're always Oh that was very nice of me,
- 1:51Speaker 1: and Hi, Billy, good morning. So we're oh, we're almost
- 1:58Speaker 1: back to uh normal.
- 2:01Speaker 2: My daughter is spending a couple of days with me
- 2:03Speaker 2: and we are eating like piglets. My daughter, Pamela, who
- 2:08Speaker 2: is the foody extraordinaries, it's her best friend in the
- 2:11Speaker 2: world is Neil. Loves Neil and loves Bruno. Just mainly
- 2:16Speaker 2: the food issue has not to do with personality.
- 2:20Speaker 1: I am.
- 2:21Speaker 2: I am taking Pamela on a cruise in December, a
- 2:25Speaker 2: foody cruise and a foods Yeah, a foody cruise, and
- 2:31Speaker 2: it's a cruise that has chefs that are coming in
- 2:36Speaker 2: and cooking. You'll be cooking classes, they'll be curated dinners.
- 2:41Speaker 2: It'll be fabulous. So she and I are going to go.
- 2:44Speaker 2: In the meantime, we're going to the Caribbean. You ever
- 2:46Speaker 2: been to the Caribbean. Yes, yes, okay, the Caribbean is
- 2:50Speaker 2: obviously filled with people. In many cases, I would say
- 2:55Speaker 2: mostly the populations African African Caribbean, not African American or
- 3:00Speaker 2: African Dutch or African English. Do you know, if you
- 3:05Speaker 2: look very carefully as you go from port to port,
- 3:08Speaker 2: it is the same people that follow you or precede you.
- 3:12Speaker 1: They just speak a different language. Same group of people.
- 3:15Speaker 2: You go to Martinique, they're speaking French. You go to Nasa,
- 3:18Speaker 2: they're speaking English. You go to whatever, there's one or
- 3:23Speaker 2: two other islands, they're speaking Dutch.
- 3:25Speaker 1: Same group of people.
- 3:26Speaker 3: What do you mean, same group of people? Like they
- 3:27Speaker 3: look the same.
- 3:29Speaker 2: Not only they are the same. Not only they look
- 3:31Speaker 2: the same, it's the same people. They move it's cruise
- 3:33Speaker 2: to cruise. It's like they follow you around. The people
- 3:36Speaker 2: on the boat, that the people on the islands.
- 3:40Speaker 3: I'm just trying to figure out what he's talking about.
- 3:42Speaker 4: He's basically saying, they all look alike. I know, around it.
- 3:48Speaker 2: I can't say they all look alike. I'm not allowed
- 3:50Speaker 2: to say.
- 3:51Speaker 3: Well, I figured that you would eventually say.
- 3:53Speaker 2: That, But so, okay, all they Okay, they all okay,
- 3:57Speaker 2: it's like going to China.
- 3:59Speaker 1: Okay, okay.
- 4:02Speaker 4: I got the impression you were saying that it's all
- 4:06Speaker 4: one people. But depending on the island, the culture and
- 4:09Speaker 4: the language is different.
- 4:12Speaker 2: It's not all yeah, okay, that's okay, that's that's a
- 4:15Speaker 2: good way of putting it. Thank you, Neil. You've you've
- 4:19Speaker 2: been able to spin my issue around properly. Anyway, We're
- 4:23Speaker 2: gonna go off. And I'm not a big fan of
- 4:25Speaker 2: the Caribbean at all. It's just you can buy Caribbean
- 4:29Speaker 2: goods all made in China.
- 4:32Speaker 4: That's everywhere now, everywhere except.
- 4:35Speaker 2: When you go to China. You no longer can buy
- 4:37Speaker 2: goods made in China. Do you know that they're made
- 4:40Speaker 2: in Vietnam or India or Pakistan?
- 4:42Speaker 1: Very interesting?
- 4:43Speaker 2: All right, guys, you ready to do it? Yeah, let's
- 4:47Speaker 2: do it. Time for handle on the news with Neil
- 4:50Speaker 2: and Heather and me lead story.
- 4:55Speaker 1: Well, if this pans out to be true.
- 4:57Speaker 2: It is a gift that and Trump has just handed
- 5:01Speaker 2: to Governor Newsom. Newsom has accused the Justice Department of
- 5:06Speaker 2: launching a politically motivated investigation.
- 5:08Speaker 1: Into him and his wife, saying.
- 5:11Speaker 2: That the administration is targeting him as he weighs a
- 5:14Speaker 2: presidential bid. I don't know about that, But the issue
- 5:19Speaker 2: of doesn't.
- 5:20Speaker 4: He didn't they start investigating him during the Biden administration.
- 5:24Speaker 1: You know, I don't know. I do know that today and.
- 5:29Speaker 4: His wife.
- 5:30Speaker 2: Yeah, well there's an issue with his wife and some
- 5:32Speaker 2: nonprofits she's involved in, and there obviously they're investigating. But
- 5:36Speaker 2: does anybody now believe that any investigation into any Democratic
- 5:42Speaker 2: legislator or a governor or anybody in governance is politically motivated?
- 5:49Speaker 4: They're all fairly equally bad. Who politicians?
- 5:56Speaker 2: Well, yeah, let me ask you a question, what if
- 5:58Speaker 2: there is no there there James me being what was it?
- 6:02Speaker 2: He was indicted? Indicted for threatening the president? No, and
- 6:06Speaker 2: this is specific, This is specific. That's a specific thing.
- 6:10Speaker 4: This has gone over two administrations, and there's inside people
- 6:16Speaker 4: that have issues.
- 6:17Speaker 2: Well, we're going to find out. And why let me
- 6:19Speaker 2: if that's the case, let me ask them. If that's
- 6:21Speaker 2: the case, why wouldn't this have started this almost two
- 6:25Speaker 2: years ago. I don't know the truth to this, whether
- 6:27Speaker 2: it is or it isn't, but I will tell you
- 6:29Speaker 2: I'm going to go back to my original statement that
- 6:31Speaker 2: he has handed Newsom on a silver platter ammunition and
- 6:36Speaker 2: yet again another national platform, and Newsom has to be that.
- 6:43Speaker 2: Newsom sent out a Newsom sent out a letter write
- 6:48Speaker 2: a fundraising letter within minutes after he came out and
- 6:52Speaker 2: said this, uh, and so it's it's and he talked
- 6:56Speaker 2: about the weaponization. I happen to believe that the dust
- 6:59Speaker 2: part has been weaponized. There's no question in my mind.
- 7:03Speaker 1: Trump said it completely.
- 7:04Speaker 2: He said, I'm going to go after those people. I
- 7:07Speaker 2: am in the business of retribution.
- 7:10Speaker 5: Now do you think this is maybe his move to
- 7:12Speaker 5: try to get ahead of something, like maybe he knows
- 7:15Speaker 5: there it might be something that they find and he's trying.
- 7:17Speaker 3: To get ahead of it. Maybe that was my initial
- 7:20Speaker 3: thought too.
- 7:20Speaker 2: It's like he has not Trump has not had very
- 7:23Speaker 2: good luck with these Oh yeah, Tisha James James comy.
- 7:28Speaker 4: Because most of them are crap.
- 7:30Speaker 1: Oh yeah. And we're going to see whether this one
- 7:32Speaker 1: it's or not. One more and then we'll take a break.
- 7:34Speaker 5: All right, let's talk about this. Israeli Prime Minister net
- 7:38Speaker 5: And Yahoo says that they are not uh, they are
- 7:43Speaker 5: nonplused by the newly reached ceasefire agreement. The struggle is
- 7:47Speaker 5: not ended. He says, according to from their perspective, So
- 7:52Speaker 5: even though the US and Iran may have reached this,
- 7:55Speaker 5: you know ceasefire, which is agreement which is supposed to
- 7:57Speaker 5: be signed on Friday, is real is not necessarily a
- 8:01Speaker 5: part of that or behind it.
- 8:03Speaker 2: Oh, Israel is not part of it. Israel is certainly
- 8:07Speaker 2: not behind it. And this is where Natanyahu and Trump
- 8:10Speaker 2: are at odds with each other. It's really important for
- 8:14Speaker 2: the basis of Trump's argument and statement. I have basically
- 8:19Speaker 2: created the piece. I have made the piece. I'm paraphrasing,
- 8:23Speaker 2: but not far off. And Neatania who says, what are
- 8:26Speaker 2: you talking about? We're still going after Lebanon? Why because
- 8:31Speaker 2: has Belah the deal is between the Lebanese government and Israel.
- 8:35Speaker 2: They've been talking his Belah, which controls all of the
- 8:39Speaker 2: armed services. Are saying, what are you guys talking about?
- 8:42Speaker 2: This thing is not even close to being done. And
- 8:45Speaker 2: by the way, we don't even know what the kitchen. Yeah,
- 8:47Speaker 2: we don't even know what the terms are. They haven't
- 8:50Speaker 2: released the terms of this thing. I think there's going
- 8:53Speaker 2: to be a contest that national contests for those people
- 8:57Speaker 2: guess what the terms are, and whoever comes closer gets
- 9:01Speaker 2: a front seat at the next UFC fight in the
- 9:03Speaker 2: White House.
- 9:04Speaker 4: If you've been listening to Heather this morning, you've heard
- 9:06Speaker 4: about this B fifty two bomber. Eight crew members dead.
- 9:14Speaker 4: B fifty two bomber crashed shortly after takeoff from Edwards
- 9:17Speaker 4: Airport base. Of course, that's northeast of here in Los Angeles,
- 9:21Speaker 4: just yesterday morning, about eleven to twenty am local time,
- 9:26Speaker 4: and it's considered a recovery operation now it is. The
- 9:32Speaker 4: Colonel James Hayes said in a news conference. It was
- 9:36Speaker 4: tragic and unsurvivable.
- 9:39Speaker 1: Horrific and they don't know why.
- 9:40Speaker 2: I mean it crashed right after taking off, which means
- 9:43Speaker 2: obviously the fuel tanks were full, and I mean the
- 9:46Speaker 2: explosion you could see that black smoke for miles and
- 9:49Speaker 2: miles away. Edwards is the premier test facility, or the
- 9:55Speaker 2: premier test airport location of of the United States. So
- 10:01Speaker 2: the Air Force, you know, I think they broke the
- 10:04Speaker 2: sound barrier. Chuck Yeager broke the sound barrier there. The
- 10:08Speaker 2: shuttle has landed at Edwards a couple of times. So anyway,
- 10:12Speaker 2: that is some pretty.
- 10:14Speaker 1: Bad news, all right.
- 10:16Speaker 5: Remember when Vice President Vance called Kamala Harris and other Democrats,
- 10:20Speaker 5: childless cat ladies. It was a big skurfuffle and got
- 10:24Speaker 5: a lot of internet traction when he said that. Well,
- 10:27Speaker 5: now he says he feels bad and it was a
- 10:30Speaker 5: boneheaded thing to say. And he is now apologizing and
- 10:34Speaker 5: lamenting his comments just in time for his new book
- 10:37Speaker 5: to come out, Communion, which is set to be released today.
- 10:41Speaker 1: He's apologizing to cats.
- 10:43Speaker 2: Yeah, not saying I'm so sorry about making derogatory remarks
- 10:48Speaker 2: about you.
- 10:49Speaker 4: It's too bad that you know, Amy's not here to
- 10:54Speaker 4: the apology.
- 10:56Speaker 3: Oh, I did think about her, because she.
- 10:58Speaker 2: We all did, yes, And that's it's part of the
- 11:03Speaker 2: trope that if you are married and you don't have children,
- 11:07Speaker 2: there's something inherently wrong with you.
- 11:09Speaker 1: And it used to be that point. There used to
- 11:11Speaker 1: be infertility.
- 11:12Speaker 2: Well even choosing that either you were infertile and you
- 11:15Speaker 2: couldn't do anything, or you had children, that was the
- 11:17Speaker 2: bottom line. The choice that people make of not having
- 11:21Speaker 2: children is fairly recent and considered that's legitimate too.
- 11:25Speaker 4: So the world is changing. Do we really want Shannon
- 11:29Speaker 4: fair and having children?
- 11:30Speaker 2: No, we don't. Do we really want me having more?
- 11:34Speaker 2: Out of the completely out of here, none.
- 11:36Speaker 4: Of us consented to the first ones.
- 11:38Speaker 1: Yeah, all right, my parents, hold on real quickly.
- 11:41Speaker 2: A statement I want to make My parents had no
- 11:42Speaker 2: business having children, and I mean that, I mean, obviously
- 11:46Speaker 2: it's a very metaphysical argument.
- 11:47Speaker 1: Then I wouldn't be here kind of thing.
- 11:49Speaker 2: But they had kids just because they were supposed to
- 11:52Speaker 2: have kids.
- 11:53Speaker 4: That was it.
- 11:55Speaker 1: And I'm glad that has changed. I'm sorry.
- 11:58Speaker 4: Go ahead, no, I think all of us agree with
- 12:00Speaker 4: that statement. Your parents shouldn't have had kids.
- 12:03Speaker 1: Well said shortly after the.
- 12:07Speaker 3: This show is dark. I'm sorry, y'all are dark in
- 12:10Speaker 3: the morning.
- 12:10Speaker 6: You're wearing this beautiful yellow, bright blouse and they coming
- 12:14Speaker 6: happy and we make okay. So shortly after the World
- 12:19Speaker 6: Cup opening there you've got this to to draw with
- 12:24Speaker 6: New Zealand and Iran, and they're slamming it.
- 12:28Speaker 4: Obviously. They say the treatment of their team that they've
- 12:32Speaker 4: received from the US is just garbage. They argued that
- 12:35Speaker 4: Iran was at a competitive disadvantage because the team was
- 12:39Speaker 4: ordered to fly into Los Angeles on the eve of
- 12:42Speaker 4: the New Zealand match and then fly straight back to
- 12:45Speaker 4: the basement, trove straight back.
- 12:48Speaker 2: They got on a bus and went back to Tijuana
- 12:53Speaker 2: and they're saying that's a huge disadvantage because everybody else
- 12:57Speaker 2: get to rest and they're now.
- 12:58Speaker 4: Going back and forth time to recover.
- 13:00Speaker 1: No, I think that's legitimate.
- 13:01Speaker 2: Also, half of them got very sick because they were
- 13:03Speaker 2: crazy enough to eat the street tacos in Tijuana, and
- 13:07Speaker 2: you don't want to do that.
- 13:10Speaker 3: All right.
- 13:11Speaker 5: So, the US emergency oil stockpile is at its lowest
- 13:15Speaker 5: since the Reagan administration. The Strategic Petroleum Reserve took a
- 13:20Speaker 5: dip to its lowest level since nineteen eighty three, and now,
- 13:24Speaker 5: according to federal data, another the US has released another
- 13:29Speaker 5: eight point nine million barrels just last week, and that
- 13:33Speaker 5: leaves the US emergency oil reserves with just three hundred
- 13:35Speaker 5: and forty million barrels of crude.
- 13:40Speaker 2: It's talks about how this oil, how this war for
- 13:47Speaker 2: oil is going to be argued, is in it does
- 13:52Speaker 2: a whole lot of It does a whole lot of
- 13:54Speaker 2: damage to the economy because these oil reserves, the government
- 13:58Speaker 2: releases them regular to try to diminish the impact of
- 14:02Speaker 2: a shortage of oil. So you're going to see just
- 14:06Speaker 2: a lot of backlash, You're going to see a lot
- 14:08Speaker 2: of reaction, and you're gonna hear the administation said everything's great,
- 14:12Speaker 2: everything's copathetic.
- 14:13Speaker 1: It is not. And this is just one issue.
- 14:15Speaker 2: We're gonna hear a lot more, by the way, about
- 14:17Speaker 2: the negatives to the world economy as well as ours
- 14:21Speaker 2: as a result of the Iranian war.
- 14:22Speaker 4: Okay, So we talked about this yesterday, that horrible story
- 14:27Speaker 4: of the young woman that plunged one hundred and thirty
- 14:31Speaker 4: feet off a bridge in Brazil because she wasn't properly secured. Well,
- 14:37Speaker 4: they found three of them, of the instructors there are
- 14:42Speaker 4: now charged. They found them in what they say is
- 14:45Speaker 4: the state of Infragrante. So they were attempting to leave
- 14:50Speaker 4: and they were caught. And under Brazilian law, this particular
- 14:53Speaker 4: charge applies to cases rather in which perpetrators did not
- 14:59Speaker 4: tend to kill, engaging incredibly dangerous but still murder resilt.
- 15:03Speaker 5: Okay, And it's not a Can we pull up the
- 15:05Speaker 5: audio yesterday where I said they're going to be charged
- 15:08Speaker 5: with murder and Bill goes, oh, no, it's not murder.
- 15:10Speaker 2: Well in our case, and you're right, I didn't take
- 15:14Speaker 2: Brazilian law into consideration. You're right, that's that's true. I
- 15:18Speaker 2: was thinking in terms of American law.
- 15:21Speaker 4: In his defense, though, Heather, it's not like he was
- 15:25Speaker 4: born in Brazil.
- 15:26Speaker 2: Yeah, exactly. Also, you mentioned the news that she was
- 15:29Speaker 2: not properly secured. She wasn't secured at all. Foster over
- 15:35Speaker 2: and then there's someone who's videoing it, and so as
- 15:38Speaker 2: she goes over, h then the phone pans over to uh,
- 15:44Speaker 2: the securing rope and there it is, curled up on
- 15:49Speaker 2: the side or near where she's thrown off the ledge,
- 15:52Speaker 2: and you go, huh, you think someone should have connected this.
- 15:56Speaker 1: It's awful, it's horrible.
- 15:58Speaker 2: They picked her up and threw her off a bridge.
- 16:00Speaker 2: That's yeah, murder. Yeah, well, I know she was part
- 16:02Speaker 2: of it. I mean she's diving off. I mean she
- 16:05Speaker 2: it's not like they threw off without her permission. What
- 16:08Speaker 2: they didn't do is connector without her permission, failed to
- 16:13Speaker 2: connect her.
- 16:14Speaker 3: All right here at home.
- 16:15Speaker 5: Nathan Hockman says he is pushing for and other animal
- 16:21Speaker 5: welfare advocates want to promote legislation that would streamline the
- 16:25Speaker 5: adoption process for animals rescued from abuse and neglect cases.
- 16:30Speaker 3: Basically, they're calling it the Justice for.
- 16:32Speaker 5: Seized Animal Animals Act, and that would allow sees animals
- 16:35Speaker 5: and cruelty neglect cases to be transferred from shelters into
- 16:39Speaker 5: foster homes while their criminal cases are being resolved.
- 16:43Speaker 3: I think that's a good idea.
- 16:44Speaker 2: Yeah, it's so well, it went through the Assembly seventy
- 16:46Speaker 2: eight zero and of course went and it's going to
- 16:49Speaker 2: go through the Senate whatever amount to zero. I think
- 16:53Speaker 2: the issue here is no one thought about this before. Yeah,
- 16:56Speaker 2: it's healthy fell through the cracks because these dogs, these
- 17:00Speaker 2: animals go into shelters while criminal proceedings are going on,
- 17:03Speaker 2: and sometimes it's months and occasionally longer than that where
- 17:08Speaker 2: they're in shelters where they could be adopted.
- 17:10Speaker 1: So that's what this bill is about. Good news.
- 17:12Speaker 5: The only issue that could come up is if there's
- 17:14Speaker 5: not enough foster places and shelter and other people to
- 17:20Speaker 5: take in all the influx of those animals.
- 17:22Speaker 2: Yeah, well, in that case, they're the same place they
- 17:25Speaker 2: are now, and that's in the shelters. But people are
- 17:29Speaker 2: pretty good now about getting shelter dogs, shelter cats. I
- 17:34Speaker 2: mean people who buy, who actually buy pure bread are
- 17:39Speaker 2: sort of in the minority.
- 17:41Speaker 4: What about you, guys.
- 17:43Speaker 2: This was the first time that I have ever gotten
- 17:46Speaker 2: a pure bread ever. I have spent my life. I
- 17:49Speaker 2: have spent my life with shelter dogs. Bill. I've even
- 17:54Speaker 2: adopted shelter dogs who had.
- 17:56Speaker 4: Rabies to match your personality.
- 18:00Speaker 2: Yeah, or maybe not, maybe not, but still, yes, we
- 18:05Speaker 2: got hold of we got hold of a little docks.
- 18:08Speaker 3: I didn't know you hated animals. And yeah, thank you?
- 18:11Speaker 2: All right, moving on. You see, I shame myself in
- 18:14Speaker 2: this one. I should have not said a word.
- 18:16Speaker 4: I kind of set you up. Tis my job. So yeah,
- 18:20Speaker 4: President Trump declaring this past Sunday, as we know that
- 18:23Speaker 4: the Strait of Hormuse was going to reopen permanently and
- 18:28Speaker 4: toll free. Well, Iran indicate just yesterday that it intends
- 18:34Speaker 4: to charge fees for unspecified or unspecified services there in
- 18:39Speaker 4: the strait, so it's not yet. In ef fact, they said,
- 18:42Speaker 4: paying for passage through the vital waterway for global energy
- 18:46Speaker 4: supplies is going to be on hand. And this was
- 18:51Speaker 4: not required before US Israeli war.
- 18:55Speaker 2: Yeah, and they're going to try. They're going to call
- 18:56Speaker 2: it fees for services they render. What services they rendered
- 19:01Speaker 2: before the war? None, It was an international free waterway
- 19:05Speaker 2: where ships just went back and forth and there there
- 19:10Speaker 2: was no oversight. It was just a ran on one side,
- 19:13Speaker 2: oman on the other side, and all of a sudden,
- 19:15Speaker 2: now we're gonna get We don't want to we're not
- 19:17Speaker 2: gonna do tolls, but in exchange for services that are
- 19:21Speaker 2: gonna be provided, we're gonna do fees.
- 19:22Speaker 4: Whatever they hell that is out that they're becoming slightly
- 19:25Speaker 4: more American, just like politicians that don't are just taxes
- 19:29Speaker 4: they charged, and.
- 19:29Speaker 2: They're gonna have a fast track, you know, for ships,
- 19:32Speaker 2: so you pay on your way, all right.
- 19:37Speaker 5: Lapd says that there's been a seven hundred and fifty
- 19:40Speaker 5: traffic crashes in this city that resulted in serious injury
- 19:43Speaker 5: or death in the last year. That's a five percent
- 19:45Speaker 5: increase from the same period the previous year. The collisions
- 19:50Speaker 5: also involving e bikes and e s scooters are also
- 19:52Speaker 5: on the rise. So because of that, they're going to
- 19:55Speaker 5: be targeting dangerous intersections for police activity and and citations
- 20:01Speaker 5: and just keeping a closer eye on dangerous intersections.
- 20:05Speaker 2: We were going on the way down, but you know,
- 20:07Speaker 2: it really screwed everybody up. The iPhones, the devices where
- 20:12Speaker 2: all of a sudden people are texting that crazy. How
- 20:14Speaker 2: how often do you see someone texting on the road
- 20:17Speaker 2: and they're looking down where you go to. Yeah, for example,
- 20:21Speaker 2: you go, you go to an intersection and stop at
- 20:23Speaker 2: a red light, and all of a sudden, the light
- 20:25Speaker 2: turns green and the person in front doesn't move, or
- 20:29Speaker 2: the person in front of you doesn't move. Why because
- 20:32Speaker 2: there they are texting and it's causing a lot of accidents.
- 20:38Speaker 3: Well, there's one more tickets to one hundred and sixty bucks.
- 20:41Speaker 3: So people will probably just like, I'll just pay it.
- 20:44Speaker 1: It's not just one hundred and sixty dollars.
- 20:46Speaker 2: It's one hundred and sixty dollars before the additional costs
- 20:51Speaker 2: come in. I always got its fees. Yeah, excuse me
- 20:54Speaker 2: that they're not costs, they're just fees. We're going back
- 20:56Speaker 2: to fees because otherwise it can't be what it cost
- 21:00Speaker 2: because it's one hundred and sixty bucks.
- 21:03Speaker 1: I got a ticket.
- 21:03Speaker 2: We're talking about three four years ago, maybe three years ago,
- 21:06Speaker 2: I got caught texting by a police officer. A woman
- 21:11Speaker 2: who was on a bicycle pulled it next to me,
- 21:15Speaker 2: and I got ticketed by a bicycle cop. And so
- 21:18Speaker 2: it was okay, it was like sixty bucks, all right,
- 21:21Speaker 2: It wasn't very much money. And then I go in
- 21:23Speaker 2: and it turned out to be almost two hundred dollars
- 21:25Speaker 2: with the additional fees. I mean it is let me
- 21:30Speaker 2: tell you, getting tagged today is not fun at all.
- 21:33Speaker 4: Not surprising, but nearly half of Americans say they don't
- 21:36Speaker 4: consider themselves part of either major political party. Come join me,
- 21:44Speaker 4: shed the stupidity of both sides. The highest level of
- 21:48Speaker 4: partisan independence measured by CNN polling in more than a decade.
- 21:54Speaker 4: So what you have is during this midterm election, new
- 21:57Speaker 4: poll found that among registered voters, Democrats narrowly outnumbered Republicans
- 22:03Speaker 4: thirty one to twenty eight, with forty one percent of
- 22:06Speaker 4: voters saying they don't identify with either party.
- 22:11Speaker 2: This does not do well for the Republicans because the
- 22:16Speaker 2: true believers, either Democrat or Republican, are true believers. I
- 22:20Speaker 2: mean those that are registered is one part of or
- 22:22Speaker 2: the other. I mean, they're basically baked in in terms
- 22:25Speaker 2: of who they're supporting. It's this great middle, and the
- 22:29Speaker 2: middle is growing and if you look at the polls,
- 22:33Speaker 2: it's the myth to look at the middle, and that
- 22:35Speaker 2: is as it's growing, and the polls show that the
- 22:39Speaker 2: administration Republicans are getting less and less support it doesn't
- 22:42Speaker 2: look like as of right now, the general election in
- 22:48Speaker 2: November does not bode well for the Republican side.
- 22:52Speaker 5: Some sad news for fans of the reality show Love Island,
- 22:56Speaker 5: USA executive producer named James Barker has died suddenly in
- 23:01Speaker 5: Fiji when they were there in the middle of filming
- 23:04Speaker 5: the season eight of that show. Right now, there's been
- 23:08Speaker 5: no details or release of the cause of death, just
- 23:11Speaker 5: that it was unexpected medical emergency and Love Island airs
- 23:16Speaker 5: on Peacock.
- 23:18Speaker 1: I've never seen it. What is Love Island about?
- 23:21Speaker 4: What the hell is Love Island?
- 23:22Speaker 1: I have no idea.
- 23:23Speaker 5: It's like a dating show where they go to an
- 23:26Speaker 5: island and they kind of pair people up. I honestly
- 23:30Speaker 5: don't watch it. I know I'm an entertainment gal, but
- 23:32Speaker 5: I don't watch a lot of reality TV shows. Shannon
- 23:34Speaker 5: farn is a huge fan of Love Island.
- 23:37Speaker 4: She just started with that. Now I get what it is.
- 23:40Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, I've a lot of these.
- 23:43Speaker 2: As I'm looking at these reality shows, I mean it's
- 23:45Speaker 2: getting crazier and crazier. You know, swamp people by having
- 23:50Speaker 2: sex with their cousins. That's a new one. And it's
- 23:53Speaker 2: to goe to do very very well. I just don't
- 23:55Speaker 2: understand any of this. Oh, this is news that we've been.
- 23:58Speaker 4: Following, and that crazy story that came out of a
- 24:03Speaker 4: cruise ship, the Carnival of cruise ship. Teenager charge was
- 24:07Speaker 4: sexually assaulting and killing his eighteen year old stepsister. He
- 24:12Speaker 4: was sixteen at the time, I believe, and he surrendered Monday.
- 24:16Speaker 4: The federal judge reversed the decision. Originally there was a
- 24:23Speaker 4: pre trial release. I believe that he was going to
- 24:26Speaker 4: be electronically monitored or something. They flipped that and they're
- 24:29Speaker 4: charging him as an adult. And isn't that pretty rare?
- 24:32Speaker 1: For yeah, it's the Iral court. He's very rare.
- 24:37Speaker 2: And what caused the judge to say, no, we're going
- 24:39Speaker 2: to put him in jail, in prison, not in prison,
- 24:42Speaker 2: but in jail was the fact that the prosecution said,
- 24:45Speaker 2: we're charging him as an adult.
- 24:46Speaker 1: That just changed everything.
- 24:49Speaker 2: But it's what's really interesting as far as I they look,
- 24:52Speaker 2: as I see it is he's still being kept in
- 24:54Speaker 2: a juvenile facility. Really, yeah, do you know that if
- 24:58Speaker 2: you are conveyed Let's say you have a miner who
- 25:00Speaker 2: is convicted of a major crime, murder for example, and
- 25:05Speaker 2: they can't theoretically would get life imprisonment, assuming under seventeen,
- 25:11Speaker 2: under sixteen, theoretically under eighteen, and they end up going
- 25:16Speaker 2: to prison. It's a juvenile facility until the age of
- 25:19Speaker 2: twenty six, no matter what the crime is. That's here
- 25:24Speaker 2: in California, and so it's you want to be treated
- 25:29Speaker 2: as a minor under any circumstances because the law is
- 25:34Speaker 2: so different. Okay, we are done, guys, completely completely. Coming up,
- 25:41Speaker 2: you make over one hundred thousand dollars in Orange County
- 25:44Speaker 2: for example.
- 25:46Speaker 1: Did you know you're poor? I mean your town right poor?
- 25:50Speaker 2: How is that possible? Welcome to southern California. That's how
- 25:53Speaker 2: it's possible. I'll give you particulars of this new the
- 25:58Speaker 2: new news coming up.

- 26:04Speaker 1: the Bill Handle Show.
