- 0:16Speaker 1: Welcome into dag Van today. I'm kind of Annie Stevens,
- 0:18Speaker 1: Brian Sexton, and John Osier are with me. It's week fifteen.
- 0:21Speaker 1: The Daguars are preparing to take on the Debts this
- 0:23Speaker 1: Sunday at Everbanks Stadium. Let's get into our big things today.
- 0:26Speaker 1: We're gonna start out with connection. Trevor Lawrence is not
- 0:29Speaker 1: going to play the rest of the season, as he
- 0:30Speaker 1: went on ir due to injury, and that means Mac
- 0:33Speaker 1: Jones has it the rest of the way. We saw
- 0:34Speaker 1: success last week when mac Jones forced the ball to
- 0:37Speaker 1: Brian Thomas Junior. Hopefully we see more of that this week.
- 0:41Speaker 2: Yeah, Brian's a really good player. He's obviously young, but
- 0:44Speaker 2: he wants the ball. I love that about him. He
- 0:46Speaker 2: likes kind of like demands it, which is awesome for
- 0:48Speaker 2: a quarterback. I haven't had much of that in my career,
- 0:51Speaker 2: where God's like, Hey, I really want this ball right here,
- 0:53Speaker 2: throw it up. I'll make a play. So I really
- 0:55Speaker 2: appreciate that about him, and for a rookie, he has
- 0:57Speaker 2: a lot of confidence and just for me trying to
- 1:00Speaker 2: keep him loosening the huddle and having fun out there.
- 1:03Speaker 2: I feel like he played really good when he having
- 1:05Speaker 2: fun and just focusing on his job and running and
- 1:08Speaker 2: making plays.
- 1:09Speaker 3: I prepare the saying, whether I'm wrong it's the number
- 1:12Speaker 3: one corner in the league or whether it's a last
- 1:14Speaker 3: radio corner in the league. I feel like they have
- 1:17Speaker 3: to prepare for me, and I try to keep that
- 1:20Speaker 3: man set. Just prepare myself, saying, well, I prepare myself
- 1:23Speaker 3: each and every week time. I prepare myself to go
- 1:25Speaker 3: out there and beat the best, and that's what I want.
- 1:28Speaker 1: Bryan, Brian Thomas Junior is getting a little more animated
- 1:31Speaker 1: and saying he wants the football, and you know he's
- 1:33Speaker 1: a little quiet, but on the field he's not. So are
- 1:35Speaker 1: they gonna be able to continue what they've been doing
- 1:37Speaker 1: or what they did in the second half of the
- 1:38Speaker 1: last game.
- 1:39Speaker 4: What I want to know is if he's gonna get
- 1:40Speaker 4: eighteen targets.
- 1:41Speaker 5: I mean on Monday Night football, Jamar Chase, an LSU product,
- 1:44Speaker 5: got eighteen targets. He caught fourteen of them, guy for
- 1:47Speaker 5: one hundred and seventy seven yards and two touchdowns. Earlier
- 1:50Speaker 5: this year, Malik Neighbors, who is a rookie from LSU,
- 1:53Speaker 5: was part of the Brian Thomas class got eighteen targets.
- 1:58Speaker 4: Throwing the ball eighteen times. I mean, I get it.
- 2:00Speaker 5: It's a little tongue in cheek because the defense will
- 2:02Speaker 5: dictate that. But John the guy's supremely talented. He's not
- 2:06Speaker 5: just fast, he can jump high. He's got the body
- 2:09Speaker 5: control that you're looking for in an elite receiver. If
- 2:12Speaker 5: you throw it up to him, as Mac intimated, there
- 2:15Speaker 5: chance is always going to have an opportunity to go
- 2:17Speaker 5: make a play.
- 2:18Speaker 6: What I like about him is he's got good football instincts.
- 2:22Speaker 6: He doesn't tend to try to make too much of
- 2:25Speaker 6: a play and lose yardage. He knows what he's doing
- 2:27Speaker 6: on the field and his instincts you use it right.
- 2:31Speaker 6: Eighteen might be hard to get to some games, but
- 2:36Speaker 6: you saw in the second half last week what you
- 2:39Speaker 6: can do when you focus on him a little bit.
- 2:41Speaker 6: And I think Mac is a guy who doesn't mind.
- 2:47Speaker 6: Historically when you've watched him, he doesn't mind throwing it
- 2:50Speaker 6: up to a guy and letting a guy go win,
- 2:53Speaker 6: even at the risk of an interception. Sometimes you have
- 2:55Speaker 6: to do if you're going to force the ball to
- 2:56Speaker 6: a guy. So I think you'll see some shots downfield
- 2:59Speaker 6: and I think you'll see him him mac meaning try
- 3:02Speaker 6: to let Brian Thomas Junior take advantage of what he
- 3:04Speaker 6: can do well, which is high point the ball.
- 3:06Speaker 4: All right.
- 3:07Speaker 1: Our second big thing today is going to be primary secondary.
- 3:09Speaker 1: We've talked a lot about changes on defense. We finally
- 3:12Speaker 1: seeing some of them, specifically in the secondary. Doug Peterson
- 3:15Speaker 1: talked about walking that fine line of playing the young players.
- 3:18Speaker 7: Yeah, I think as the season's progressed, guys have gotten better.
- 3:24Speaker 2: You know.
- 3:26Speaker 7: I thought we you know, started the season, you know,
- 3:29Speaker 7: we made made some mistakes. Even in the middle of
- 3:31Speaker 7: the season, there were some mistakes. I think we've dust
- 3:35Speaker 7: just kind of settle a little bit and guys are
- 3:37Speaker 7: understanding and in rotating guys a little bit more too, right,
- 3:41Speaker 7: keeping guys fresher as the game goes on has helped us.
- 3:44Speaker 7: And just continuing to coach and teach and uh has
- 3:50Speaker 7: you know, I think has really helped our our secondary.
- 3:54Speaker 7: They played a they played a complete game.
- 3:58Speaker 1: John We saw some of the young guys, Jarnie Jones
- 4:00Speaker 1: out there. Antonio Johnson's starting as well. But this is
- 4:03Speaker 1: a game where there could be some big plays, and
- 4:05Speaker 1: we know there's that big play susceptibility to this team
- 4:08Speaker 1: has had in the past. How are they gonna come
- 4:10Speaker 1: bat that this week or they're still going to go
- 4:11Speaker 1: with some of the young guys.
- 4:12Speaker 6: Well, I go with young guys. I'd like to see
- 4:15Speaker 6: Jordan Jefferson up front as a young guy that we're
- 4:18Speaker 6: talking about. Wouldn't mind seeing Prince at some point. But
- 4:23Speaker 6: I think the Antonio Johnson in the game was not
- 4:28Speaker 6: necessarily about young guy, but is about seeing somebody who
- 4:31Speaker 6: can play better than Andre Cisco. And I think they
- 4:34Speaker 6: put Antonio Johnson in there and say, hey, Andrey's probably
- 4:37Speaker 6: not going to be a part of this moving forward.
- 4:38Speaker 6: I don't know that for sure, but it feels like that.
- 4:41Speaker 6: So Antonio Johnson's in his second year, Let's see what
- 4:44Speaker 6: he can do, and let's see if he can outplay
- 4:46Speaker 6: a guy who's been struggling at times.
- 4:47Speaker 5: Well, and you heard Doug say that they made mistakes
- 4:50Speaker 5: early in the year, and they made mistakes in the
- 4:53Speaker 5: middle of the season. Primarily Antonio Johnson was a guy
- 4:56Speaker 5: who was very disappointing. He was out of position, he
- 4:58Speaker 5: took bad angles, he wasn't playing up to the level
- 5:02Speaker 5: of his talent. So now he's playing well, I thought
- 5:04Speaker 5: last week was his best performance. Obviously last year he
- 5:07Speaker 5: only had a few opportunities to play, so that's really exciting.
- 5:11Speaker 5: I like you would like to see deanentre Prince. I
- 5:13Speaker 5: think Trey Prince is a guy who's got all of
- 5:16Speaker 5: the traits that you're looking for, and he's hyper competitive. Clearly,
- 5:20Speaker 5: he hasn't done enough on the practice field to get
- 5:22Speaker 5: on the field. The one thing I would add this
- 5:24Speaker 5: week is if you're playing to win and the Jaguars are,
- 5:26Speaker 5: this might not be the week to play too many
- 5:28Speaker 5: of the young guys in the secondary kai because you're
- 5:31Speaker 5: talking about a football professor back there.
- 5:34Speaker 4: This is not Will Levis. This is a guy who.
- 5:36Speaker 5: Sees the field so completely. If one guy's out of position,
- 5:40Speaker 5: he'll make you pay. This is the kind of quarterback,
- 5:43Speaker 5: and this is the kind of game where if you're
- 5:45Speaker 5: playing to win, some of those veteran guys are going
- 5:47Speaker 5: to have to be on the field in the secondary.
- 5:50Speaker 6: Yeah, there were plays last week that had Aaron Rodgers
- 5:53Speaker 6: been in the game. Oh yeah, there were guys running
- 5:56Speaker 6: open that it would have been bad.
- 6:00Speaker 1: Blow weapons over there and DeVante Anams and Garrett Wilson
- 6:02Speaker 1: as well, to keep an eye and we'll talk a
- 6:03Speaker 1: little bit about that coming net coming back. But our
- 6:06Speaker 1: third big thing is feeling forty one. Aaron Rodgers turned
- 6:08Speaker 1: forty one last week and he's still trying to make
- 6:11Speaker 1: this football thing worked on. Peterson talked a little bit
- 6:13Speaker 1: about where he was at at forty one.
- 6:16Speaker 7: To credit right to him and what he does in
- 6:20Speaker 7: the off.
- 6:20Speaker 8: Season, what he does during the regular season.
- 6:22Speaker 7: How he takes care of himself, because this game can
- 6:26Speaker 7: you know, this game can can beat you down, you
- 6:28Speaker 7: know physically. You know, forty one. I was thirty six
- 6:34Speaker 7: when I shut it down, so I was I think
- 6:36Speaker 7: I was back with the Eagles. Yeah, as you mentioned,
- 6:39Speaker 7: it's quality control, and I was forty one, but you know,
- 6:43Speaker 7: in your mind, you still feel like you're twenty one.
- 6:45Speaker 7: And and I know that's probably maybe he's not, you know,
- 6:49Speaker 7: thinking twenty one, but he's he's definitely. And one of
- 6:54Speaker 7: the things I've always appreciated about Aaron is just the
- 6:56Speaker 7: way he approaches the game, you know, and the fun
- 6:59Speaker 7: that he he has, and you know, the excitement you
- 7:04Speaker 7: see around him and Brian.
- 7:07Speaker 1: The team's coming in there at three and ten. Obviously
- 7:09Speaker 1: they've had an underwhelming season as well, Aaron Rodgers coming
- 7:12Speaker 1: off that Achilles injury, so he hasn't looked quite like
- 7:14Speaker 1: he has a whole, But it's dangerous to count him out,
- 7:16Speaker 1: especially with the ability and the football smarts that he has.
- 7:19Speaker 4: It is, and you know, I went back looking.
- 7:21Speaker 5: Aaron Rodgers has really never been in this position in
- 7:23Speaker 5: his career this late in the season to be so
- 7:26Speaker 5: far out of it in just playing out the string.
- 7:28Speaker 5: He's used to playing in highly competitive, meaningful games after Thanksgiving.
- 7:32Speaker 5: So these are all things to watch. I would say
- 7:35Speaker 5: the best way to counter Aaron Rodgers, who's forty one,
- 7:39Speaker 5: is for him to feel forty one, as in Josh
- 7:42Speaker 5: heinz Allen who's chasing the franchise all time sack record,
- 7:46Speaker 5: So he's hyper motivated. If you're going to win, if
- 7:49Speaker 5: you're going to by the way, listen, the Jaguars are
- 7:52Speaker 5: not scoring a lot of points ten point seven to
- 7:54Speaker 5: five points since Trevor Lawrence left the starting lineup for
- 7:58Speaker 5: the Vikings game. You're not gonna beat these guys that way.
- 8:02Speaker 5: You're gonna have to send Josh heinz Allen and he's
- 8:04Speaker 5: gonna have to be a game wrecker and make forty
- 8:06Speaker 5: one feel that way for Aaron Rodgers.
- 8:10Speaker 6: Yeah, I think Aaron Rodgers is still dangerous. I don't
- 8:13Speaker 6: know that he has as ide was saying the escapability
- 8:16Speaker 6: that he used to have. But he can still put
- 8:17Speaker 6: the ball in the right place. He's playing better the
- 8:20Speaker 6: last few games after really being beat up for three
- 8:22Speaker 6: or four games early in the season. So look, the
- 8:26Speaker 6: Jets can score. They scored the last week. They put
- 8:28Speaker 6: up Aaron three for three hundred yards for the first time.
- 8:30Speaker 6: So I think I think twenty two Jerry Damons had
- 8:34Speaker 6: to play well to beat him, and I expect him
- 8:36Speaker 6: to go out and motivate it. Meaning, I don't know
- 8:38Speaker 6: if these are the last games of Aaron Rodgers' career.
- 8:41Speaker 6: I don't think they have to be, if he can
- 8:42Speaker 6: find the right team next year.
- 8:44Speaker 1: All right, stay with us here, we'll talk a little
- 8:45Speaker 1: bit more about that Jets game coming up to see it.
- 8:50Speaker 1: Welcome to jag Zanbronte By Fields Auto Grouping and Seafields
- 8:53Speaker 1: First Jackson Golls Premier Luxury Auto Group head over two
- 8:55Speaker 1: Fields Auto dot Com. It is Jets Week, It's throwback week.
- 9:03Speaker 1: Lots of good things coming up. Obviously, the Jets aren't
- 9:05Speaker 1: dealing with a similar situation to the Jaguars three and
- 9:07Speaker 1: ten coming into this game. A little bit of similarity
- 9:09Speaker 1: there as they try to figure out what they're doing
- 9:12Speaker 1: the rest of the year and figure out what they
- 9:13Speaker 1: have going forward.
- 9:15Speaker 6: But it's gonna be tough.
- 9:16Speaker 4: I think theirs is more complicated. Now.
- 9:18Speaker 5: Listen, some might argue it's simpler because they've already fired
- 9:21Speaker 5: their coach. They've fired their coach in October, and their
- 9:24Speaker 5: general manager they let go in November. So they went
- 9:27Speaker 5: and fought in Miami. And you might have said, well that,
- 9:30Speaker 5: I mean, they don't have a whole forty one year
- 9:31Speaker 5: old quarterback Achilles. They're an interesting group because they've got
- 9:36Speaker 5: some young talent and the old quarterback and they thought
- 9:39Speaker 5: they had the magic concoction to compete for a championship
- 9:43Speaker 5: this year and it fell apart.
- 9:44Speaker 6: Well, they're very talented and late in the season sometimes
- 9:47Speaker 6: you play a team it's quit or that you look
- 9:50Speaker 6: at and sayhere their quarterbacks out, how are they gonna
- 9:53Speaker 6: make plays? They have plenty of guys who can make plays.
- 9:56Speaker 6: They have sauce guard in your on defense. They have
- 9:57Speaker 6: Aaron Rodgers, they have DeVante Adams.
- 9:59Speaker 4: That you.
- 10:00Speaker 6: So sometimes late in the season you think, Okay, well,
- 10:03Speaker 6: there's no way this team, if we play this level,
- 10:05Speaker 6: is the way this team can beat us. The Jets
- 10:10Speaker 6: absolutely have the talent, the playmakers. The question is do
- 10:13Speaker 6: they have the drive?
- 10:14Speaker 4: Yeah, but with both.
- 10:16Speaker 6: Teams out of it, frankly, you have to ask a
- 10:17Speaker 6: question about both teams.
- 10:19Speaker 1: Let's look at the defense. Mac Jones talked a little bit.
- 10:21Speaker 1: He's very familiar with the Jets defense playing in the AFCAS.
- 10:24Speaker 1: He said it's the best defense he's ever played against.
- 10:27Speaker 2: Yeah, I hope. So it's definitely the NFL's top defense
- 10:31Speaker 2: in my opinion. You know, over my career so far,
- 10:34Speaker 2: they're the best defense I've gone against each year, not
- 10:37Speaker 2: only players, but scheme and coaching. Obviously, they're familiar with me,
- 10:42Speaker 2: and I have some former teammates over there, and you know,
- 10:44Speaker 2: guys I've played against six five six times, So definitely
- 10:49Speaker 2: looking forward to it. They've done a good job this year.
- 10:51Speaker 2: I know, the records the same, but really their defenses
- 10:55Speaker 2: is one of a kind, and I got a lot
- 10:57Speaker 2: of respect for those guys over there.
- 11:00Speaker 6: John.
- 11:00Speaker 1: This defense hasn't been necessarily what it's been in the
- 11:01Speaker 1: past when Robert Sahal has been there. But they still
- 11:03Speaker 1: have a ton of playmakers and they still have they
- 11:05Speaker 1: are still up in the ranks there as one of
- 11:07Speaker 1: the best defenses in the league.
- 11:08Speaker 6: Yeah, the thing that concerns you the Jets are are
- 11:10Speaker 6: really good in terms of yards. They have been great
- 11:12Speaker 6: in terms of points, but sometimes that cannot really reflect
- 11:15Speaker 6: if your offense to give us some points, if only
- 11:18Speaker 6: they only have two interceptions. And Mac has shown us
- 11:23Speaker 6: he can fix that. So I'm what I'm saying there
- 11:29Speaker 6: is he needs to not fix that obviously.
- 11:31Speaker 7: Uh.
- 11:32Speaker 6: He's thrown the ball up in some in some in
- 11:34Speaker 6: some rough situations so far. To me, that's the key
- 11:37Speaker 6: from ACT this week. This team is not a great
- 11:40Speaker 6: turnover team. Don't let them become one. Don't give them
- 11:44Speaker 6: opportunities here at every Bank Stadium. Uh, and get the
- 11:47Speaker 6: ball to.
- 11:47Speaker 5: Betj And I mean Quinn Williams is one of the
- 11:50Speaker 5: better defensive tackles in the league. Last week, the Jaguars
- 11:53Speaker 5: did a really nice job against Jeffrey Simmons. This guy
- 11:56Speaker 5: is a really he's a game wrecker in the middle
- 11:58Speaker 5: in terms of running the ball, and the Jaguars kai
- 12:00Speaker 5: desperately need to run the ball. To help Mac Jones,
- 12:03Speaker 5: they have got to give him some symbols of balance,
- 12:06Speaker 5: and I think the way that you do that is
- 12:07Speaker 5: give it to Tank Bigsby. Could we stop with giving
- 12:09Speaker 5: the bowl to Travis Etn and expecting him to run
- 12:12Speaker 5: between the tackles. I just that doesn't work. Give it
- 12:16Speaker 5: to Tank. He is clearly RB one on this team.
- 12:19Speaker 5: When you have the express desire to run between the tackles,
- 12:23Speaker 5: give it to Tank.
- 12:24Speaker 4: Give it to him.
- 12:24Speaker 5: Consistently soften up that Jets defense and make it easier
- 12:28Speaker 5: on Mac Jones, and then figure out a different way
- 12:31Speaker 5: to include Etn his explosiveness, his playmaking skill.
- 12:35Speaker 4: It's better on the edge.
- 12:36Speaker 5: It's better in a cutback on a stretch kind of
- 12:38Speaker 5: play than between the tackles.
- 12:39Speaker 4: That's Tank.
- 12:40Speaker 1: Let's talk the other side of the football. We saw
- 12:42Speaker 1: the defense play one of their best games of the
- 12:43Speaker 1: year last year against an offense that's not so good,
- 12:46Speaker 1: so this week will be a completely different challenge. We
- 12:48Speaker 1: saw them play pretty well against I want to compare them. Obviously,
- 12:51Speaker 1: DeVante Adams one of the best wide receivers in the league,
- 12:53Speaker 1: but they played well against the likes of Justin Jefferson
- 12:55Speaker 1: when they took on Minnesota. Can they translate Brian something
- 12:58Speaker 1: like that over to taking on Devonte par Adams.
- 13:02Speaker 5: I think that Tyson Campbell is capable of playing a
- 13:04Speaker 5: big game. You know, he did a few weeks ago
- 13:06Speaker 5: against Justin Jefferson, as you mentioned, and this is is
- 13:09Speaker 5: that kind of a challenge for him. So if he
- 13:11Speaker 5: has a good game, then you you can do some
- 13:13Speaker 5: different things. With Garrett Wilson on the other side, who
- 13:16Speaker 5: is a tremendous player. I mean, just as soon as
- 13:19Speaker 5: you put all your focus over on Davante, here comes
- 13:21Speaker 5: this guy and he's got deep speed and playmaking ability too,
- 13:25Speaker 5: and that makes the quarterback so much more dangerous.
- 13:27Speaker 4: Can they Yes? Will they?
- 13:29Speaker 5: Well, I mean that's been the key, John. I mean
- 13:30Speaker 5: they haven't done it very consistently in the secondary. They
- 13:33Speaker 5: haven't done anything consistently in the secondary this year.
- 13:36Speaker 6: Yeah, I think the key will be the same as
- 13:38Speaker 6: it was last week. Not nice job last week. Is
- 13:46Speaker 6: that I'm trying to say of keeping them at the enzone.
- 13:49Speaker 6: But had they not come up big and side the
- 13:52Speaker 6: ten twice, that game looks a lot different. The thing
- 13:55Speaker 6: that concerns you is when Aaron Rodgers gets into the
- 13:58Speaker 6: red zone. If they allow long drive this week, he
- 14:01Speaker 6: can finish much better than Will Levis. So I think
- 14:04Speaker 6: it's gonna be a situational game. And that's what's scari
- 14:07Speaker 6: You're playing Aaron Rodgers and those two receivers. They have
- 14:10Speaker 6: the tools. If they are at the two and throw
- 14:14Speaker 6: three times into the end zone like the Titans did,
- 14:16Speaker 6: they're probably gonna get one. So I think it's imperative
- 14:18Speaker 6: the Jaguar stopped the run better than they did last
- 14:20Speaker 6: week early and not give the Jets the same opportunities
- 14:25Speaker 6: that the Titans can't take advantage of it.
- 14:27Speaker 5: This is gonna sound annoyingly redundant to people watching, but
- 14:30Speaker 5: you just said it. They've got to find a way
- 14:33Speaker 5: to do something early on offense.
- 14:35Speaker 4: I mean it is.
- 14:36Speaker 1: They should start fast.
- 14:38Speaker 5: Fast, I don't care whether it's a ten minute slow
- 14:41Speaker 5: drive right, get some points early, do something. They had
- 14:44Speaker 5: the one touchdown in the first quarter against the Vikings,
- 14:47Speaker 5: but they've done nothing early on to even give their
- 14:50Speaker 5: defense something they can play with. They have got to
- 14:54Speaker 5: do something something on offense early in this game because
- 14:58Speaker 5: you're not gonna beat Aaron Rode even a three and
- 15:01Speaker 5: ten Aaron Rodgers. You're not gonna beat him scoring ten points.
- 15:04Speaker 5: That's not happening.
- 15:05Speaker 1: We're begging please please start early, please, thank you. All Right,

- 15:45Speaker 1: what the headlines are gonna be on Monday after this
- 15:48Speaker 1: showdown with the Jets on Sunday afternoon, Brian, what are
- 15:51Speaker 1: you thinking for? Well?
- 15:52Speaker 5: The Eternal Optimist ANDEE offers this December double. The Jaguars
- 15:56Speaker 5: have not won back to back games since they beat
- 15:59Speaker 5: the Titans here and then went to Houston last November.
- 16:03Speaker 4: But you know, I just I sense an energy level.
- 16:06Speaker 5: I mean, listen, when you've lost as much as they
- 16:09Speaker 5: had lost, anything is going to seem more energetic than
- 16:11Speaker 5: what we had experienced in that locker room put even
- 16:14Speaker 5: veteran guys. I was over in a corner yesterday with
- 16:17Speaker 5: Eric Armstead and Brandon Sheriff's there. Those are two salty
- 16:20Speaker 5: old vets, you know, I mean even they you know
- 16:23Speaker 5: we're a little more talkative. So I realized it's dangerous
- 16:28Speaker 5: to predict this because Aaron Rodgers is going against a
- 16:31Speaker 5: team that has given up more explosive than anyone else
- 16:34Speaker 5: in the league this year and the most in team history.
- 16:37Speaker 5: But I just have a sense that maybe this energy
- 16:39Speaker 5: level and a young team that sees opportunity will take it.
- 16:44Speaker 5: So December double to get back to back wins.
- 16:46Speaker 6: Yeah, I went the same direction. I went with winning Street.
- 16:50Speaker 1: Two optimists, look at you.
- 16:53Speaker 6: I had to pick something. This is our jobs. I
- 16:57Speaker 6: had a choice between a win and a loss. It's
- 16:59Speaker 6: two ten teams. We've seen enough this year that I
- 17:03Speaker 6: went with winning Stree. There's a lot of reasons that
- 17:08Speaker 6: the Jets have edges because I think their skill guys
- 17:13Speaker 6: are better, because they're healthier. Meaning if Christian Kirk's playing
- 17:16Speaker 6: this game, I feel differently, He's not Aaron Rodgers over
- 17:20Speaker 6: Mac Jones, even though Max five and zero against this team.
- 17:24Speaker 6: But late in the season, things get weird. Neither team
- 17:30Speaker 6: has like on paper motivation, so playing at home and
- 17:35Speaker 6: it feels like last week this team hadn't quit, so
- 17:38Speaker 6: I'll give them the edge in that respect.
- 17:39Speaker 4: Let's get weird.
- 17:40Speaker 2: I like that.
- 17:41Speaker 5: It's a line from a movie, isn't it, Bill Murray?
- 17:44Speaker 6: It never got weird enough for me. That's a Bill
- 17:48Speaker 6: Murray line, not my life.
- 17:51Speaker 1: My prediction is not as optimistic as everybody else. It
- 17:55Speaker 1: makes me a big play day, unfortunately for the Jets
- 17:58Speaker 1: because of the talents of the habit Why receiver Aaron
- 18:00Speaker 1: Rodgers is so smart. He's played twitch a long time.
- 18:03Speaker 1: I know he can't scramble as much, but he can
- 18:05Speaker 1: pick apart of defense when he needs to, and that
- 18:06Speaker 1: has been one of many achilles heels for our team
- 18:10Speaker 1: this season. So I would love to be wrong. I
- 18:12Speaker 1: would love things to be one of those weird December
- 18:14Speaker 1: games where both teams are kind of doing whatever they're doing.
- 18:17Speaker 1: I would love to be wrong too, Jaguars get a win,
- 18:19Speaker 1: but I am concerned about the big play on Sunday fair.
- 18:23Speaker 1: I think it's fair, Yeah, hopefully wrong, but I think
- 18:26Speaker 1: it's very wrong. Say with us, we're gonna talk a
- 18:28Speaker 1: little bit more about what's coming up the rest of
- 18:29Speaker 1: the week before kickoff on Sunday. Jags fans, if you

- 18:54Speaker 8: Honestly, their whole defense just plays really well together. They
- 18:57Speaker 8: play violent, they run to the foot ball, they're physical,
- 19:02Speaker 8: and they're athletic in the back end. I mean they're
- 19:04Speaker 8: athletic all over the field. Honestly, they cause problems everywhere.
- 19:07Speaker 8: So we're gonna have to come prepared to be physical,
- 19:11Speaker 8: to be explosive, and to have great finish all game
- 19:15Speaker 8: to be successful against him.
- 19:17Speaker 1: Ivan Ingram talking about the Jets defense, I have an
- 19:19Speaker 1: Ingram battling through a shoulder injury that he had during
- 19:22Speaker 1: the Titan game. Hasn't practiced fully, So we'll see as
- 19:25Speaker 1: the week goes on what that's gonna look like.
- 19:27Speaker 5: You know, he's one of those guys you need him
- 19:29Speaker 5: because you're gonna need somebody other than Brian Thomas Junior
- 19:32Speaker 5: for the defense to have to focus on.
- 19:33Speaker 4: So hopefully his shoulder allows.
- 19:35Speaker 5: Him to play on Sunday, and you just kind of
- 19:37Speaker 5: get the feeling that he's due for one of those
- 19:39Speaker 5: you know, nine or ten catch games.
- 19:41Speaker 4: Yeah, eighty yards in a touchdown.
- 19:43Speaker 6: I kind of hope he didn't have that many. The
- 19:45Speaker 6: offense sometimes doesn't function that well when they're throwing short
- 19:48Speaker 6: passes to him, but I would love to see him
- 19:51Speaker 6: have some twenty yard passes where he breaks the defense
- 19:55Speaker 6: a little bit and has the big game. It sounded
- 19:58Speaker 6: this week from when Doug was talking like he'll boy,
- 20:00Speaker 6: so we'll see.
- 20:01Speaker 1: All right, it's gonna be another throwback game. It's our
- 20:03Speaker 1: second throwback game of the year. Hopefully, Brian, you can
- 20:06Speaker 1: talk to someone, pull some strings and make them permanent.
- 20:08Speaker 5: If you knew how many people have come up to
- 20:10Speaker 5: me at Christmas party so far this holiday season to
- 20:13Speaker 5: talk about the Prowler jerseys and how much they love
- 20:16Speaker 5: having them back. I think the Jaguars have an opportunity
- 20:19Speaker 5: in the next couple of years to tweak the uniform.
- 20:22Speaker 4: I would vote for that.
- 20:23Speaker 1: Coming back as an unbiased observer, they are markedly better.
- 20:27Speaker 4: I don't know why.
- 20:28Speaker 6: Some combination that would be really cool, And we'll see.
- 20:31Speaker 1: We shall all right enjoy the game whether it should
- 20:33Speaker 1: be good. We will be back on Monday to recap
- 20:35Speaker 1: everything for you
