Why I no longer celebrate #Thanksgiving (and neither should you) (Recorded November 23, 2022)
The American story is comprised of many myths, few of them larger and more widely accepted than the myth of Thanksgiving. For nearly 2 decades I have studied US history, particularly in regards to the people indigenous to Turtle Island. A few years ago I decided that I could no longer celebrate Thanksgiving, it is a holiday rooted in white supremacy and the celebration of genocide. I invite you watch this presentation as I share with you the true history of the United States of America and explain why I no longer celebrate Thanksgiving, and neither should you.
