Episode 158: Most Things Kenobi is Taking a Short Break · Most Things Kenobi - A Star Wars Podcast

• 0:00
Hello there, it's time for most things Kenobi.
• 0:03
Shouldn't it be all things Kenobi?
• 0:20
Hi everyone, welcome to another episode of Most Things Kenobi, a
• 0:24
podcast about Obi Wan Kenobi and all things Star Wars.
• 0:28
I'm your host, Lauren, and as you can probably see by this
• 0:31
episode's title, I am not here to talk about Greek gods and
• 0:35
goddesses. As we stated at the end of last
• 0:37
week's episode, we do hope to discuss that topic at some point
• 0:41
in the future, but for now, I'm here to announce that we will be
• 0:45
officially on hiatus until at least the beginning of
• 0:48
September. As some of you who follow us on
• 0:51
social media may already know, this has been an extremely
• 0:54
challenging year for Leanne and me.
• 0:57
We've both been hit over and over with unexpected
• 1:00
  difficulties in our personal lives.
• 1:03
We've done our best to keep powering through, but just in
• 1:06
the last week, we've been thrown another hurdle and it's become
• 1:09
obvious to both of us that we need to take some time off to
• 1:13
rest, recuperate, recharge, and just get our legs under us.
• 1:18
Not to worry though, I promise this is not permanent.
• 1:21
We are not quitting the podcast, we just need a breather after
• 1:25
the challenges we've been dealing with, so never fear, we
• 1:29
will be back. During the hiatus, I will be
• 1:32
active as usual on Instagram and Tumblr, and I will be active on
• 1:36
our Patreon posting a new Mindfulness with Most Things
• 1:39
Kenobi episode very soon. I'll also be hosting one of our
• 1:43
sort of regular Zoom Hangouts, and I've recently finished
• 1:48
writing the script for a new meditation, so I will be posting
• 1:51
that to our Jedi Masters tier, I hope sometime very soon.
• 1:56
If you don't already, please consider supporting us on
• 2:00
Patreon. We have tears starting as low as
• 2:03
$3 a month, and I'm here to tell you every little bit helps.
• 2:07
Now, before I sign off, Leanne and I would like to apologize
• 2:11
for our unpredictable episode drops this year.
• 2:13
There have been multiple weeks where we just couldn't get an
• 2:16
episode released, and every time that happened, we both felt
• 2:19
deeply disappointed. We hope you will stick with us
• 2:24
and join us upon our return. Hey, maybe this is a great
• 2:27
chance to go back into our archives and revisit some of
• 2:30
your favorite episodes. The one about Obi Wan's hair or
• 2:36
the one about the symbolism of The Cave scene and Empire
• 2:39
Strikes Back. Or you know, of course, our
• 2:42
delightful conversation with James Arnold Taylor.
• 2:45
These all come to mind for me personally.
• 2:49
Either way, thank you to our wonderful listeners all over the
• 2:53
world for not giving up on us. And a very special shout out to
• 2:57
our beloved patrons on Patreon. You're amazing and we love you
• 3:01
with all our hearts. So we'll be seeing you sometime
• 3:05
in early September. Be well, take care of
• 3:08
yourselves, and come back for some more Obi Wan Kenobi.
• 3:13
May the Force be with you, my friends.
