- 0:00[SPEAKER_01]: Hello, and welcome back to the Pretty Little Podcast.
- 0:03[SPEAKER_01]: We're your hosts.
- 0:05[SPEAKER_01]: My name is Phoebe.
- 0:07[SPEAKER_01]: My name is Caroline and today we have a lot.
- 0:11[SPEAKER_01]: to cover and I can't wait to talk about freaky Friday with you.
- 0:16[SPEAKER_01]: Phoebe, I have been waiting to talk to you about it.
- 0:19[SPEAKER_00]: I haven't seen the new one yet.
- 0:22[SPEAKER_00]: I was trying to, but I watched the original twice.
- 0:27[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, it holds up.
- 0:28[SPEAKER_01]: We're going to get into it in a sack, but
- 0:30[SPEAKER_01]: Phoebe and I were faced timing yesterday and we kept wanting to talk about it and I if you just had to keep saying stop it save this absolute gold for the podcast so we are going to talk about that before we do I figure we could just got into some personal updates can you stone still in me still in me I need it to be out so if everybody could send your healing energy to the world so that I don't have to get it
- 0:55[SPEAKER_01]: surgically removed that would be awesome that would be great because that will interfere with my ghost horse just saying I was like talking to the doctor and I was like okay so I'm not going to get into the way this the surgery goes but basically if you watched beyond the villa it's exactly what Kayla had okay um
- 1:12[SPEAKER_01]: So there's the surgery and then after the fact they put a stent in you basically like in the tube from your kidney to your bladder and it stays in for a week and then they take it out and I was like, um, well, is that going to like
- 1:27[SPEAKER_01]: Is that gonna make life really uncomfortable?
- 1:29[SPEAKER_01]: She goes, some people say it's more painful than the kidney stone.
- 1:31[SPEAKER_01]: Why the fuck would you tell me that?
- 1:33[SPEAKER_01]: Why, actually, why on God's career, I thought you'd tell me that.
- 1:36[SPEAKER_01]: And I was like, okay, but like, you know, she's like, I mean, it's, you're gonna be able to live your life, like the surgery's outpatient.
- 1:42[SPEAKER_01]: I was like, yeah, I just mean like walking around.
- 1:44[SPEAKER_01]: I'm like trying not to have to say to her, like, so what am I going to go towards?
- 1:48[SPEAKER_01]: So I was like, okay, well, okay, like, I give ghost tours in the fall.
- 1:53[SPEAKER_01]: So like, and she goes, well, I mean, this isn't September.
- 1:55[SPEAKER_01]: I was like, they start September,
- 1:57[SPEAKER_01]: She was like, yeah, then that would not be comfortable.
- 2:01[SPEAKER_01]: I was like, okay, great.
- 2:02[SPEAKER_01]: What about MCing a child's talent show?
- 2:04[SPEAKER_01]: We're about back.
- 2:06[SPEAKER_01]: I was like, oh wait, you're learning too much about me.
- 2:08[SPEAKER_01]: Anyway, so um, so just prayers up, please.
- 2:10[SPEAKER_01]: That would be great.
- 2:12[SPEAKER_01]: Prayer is up.
- 2:13[SPEAKER_01]: You wrote in the note for like personal updates for you.
- 2:17[SPEAKER_01]: People talking in trailers, parentheses, this is where you prove yourself to me.
- 2:21[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I went to go see weapons on Thursday.
- 2:25[SPEAKER_00]: And I have been, this has been a highly anticipated movie for everyone.
- 2:29[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I've been so excited.
- 2:32[SPEAKER_01]: I almost went to go see it at ten, thirty last night because I was like that way if you'd be and I could talk about it.
- 2:37[SPEAKER_01]: But I did it and I think it's better because I can give people some time to see it without spoilers because it just came out.
- 2:43[SPEAKER_00]: And also I'm glad you didn't see it at ten, thirty.
- 2:46[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I wouldn't today would have been much harder.
- 2:48[SPEAKER_01]: So I just decided not to.
- 2:49[SPEAKER_01]: I don't even mean that.
- 2:50[SPEAKER_01]: I mean like,
- 2:51[SPEAKER_00]: I also was going to be going alone walking back to your car alone.
- 2:55[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I had all those thoughts and I was coming back to the house, Anthony, I'll be asleep.
- 2:58[SPEAKER_01]: He doesn't like scary movies.
- 3:00[SPEAKER_01]: Who's like I'm not going with you?
- 3:02[SPEAKER_01]: Who's like a change or tickets to naked gun?
- 3:03[SPEAKER_01]: I'll go.
- 3:04[SPEAKER_01]: I was like, well, not doing that, but I do want to see naked gun also.
- 3:07[SPEAKER_00]: I know I still need to see that too.
- 3:10[SPEAKER_00]: But I went to go see that.
- 3:11[SPEAKER_00]: It was a very interesting
- 3:13[SPEAKER_00]: crowd.
- 3:14[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know what it was.
- 3:15[SPEAKER_00]: I didn't see barbarian in theaters.
- 3:17[SPEAKER_00]: I won't have or seen it on streaming.
- 3:18[SPEAKER_00]: So like I didn't say director for those who don't know.
- 3:20[SPEAKER_00]: I didn't know to expect from Zach Craig or movie.
- 3:24[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, Craig.
- 3:24[SPEAKER_00]: I still don't know how you say it.
- 3:26[SPEAKER_00]: But it was packed luckily.
- 3:29[SPEAKER_00]: It was in a theater that had my favorite kind of row, just three seats at the top.
- 3:33[SPEAKER_00]: And so when I got my ticket so long ago, I got my seat in the middle.
- 3:38[SPEAKER_00]: So you're not gonna like I thought you're gonna say that you bought all three seeds and I was like no, I just bought the middle one and I've learned that that typically is it good to turn it for people to not want to sit up there with you.
- 3:50[SPEAKER_01]: Yes, but what if somebody dead, what would you do?
- 3:54[SPEAKER_01]: I would make them really uncomfortable.
- 3:56[SPEAKER_01]: Well, that's for sure.
- 3:57[SPEAKER_01]: I hate that.
- 3:58[SPEAKER_01]: That goes without saying.
- 3:59[SPEAKER_01]: Sorry.
- 4:00[SPEAKER_01]: We fucking knew that.
- 4:03[SPEAKER_00]: But what I realized, first of all, I walk in.
- 4:06[SPEAKER_00]: It was one of those things where you know when they like forget to start to movie.
- 4:10[SPEAKER_00]: And I could immediately sense that like kind of a rowdy crowd.
- 4:15[SPEAKER_00]: Like the fur the second row of the whole theater.
- 4:17[SPEAKER_00]: So like you know when you step down there's like three rows that top row of close to the theater can politely fall with just all like
- 4:28[SPEAKER_00]: Maybe like, twenty-year-old guys.
- 4:30[SPEAKER_00]: What?
- 4:30[SPEAKER_00]: Like, that's what I was saying.
- 4:32[SPEAKER_00]: Like, I was really confused by the way.
- 4:33[SPEAKER_01]: You were, you wanted to say disturb, or discuss this.
- 4:37[SPEAKER_01]: I just, I wanted a bunch of men.
- 4:39[SPEAKER_00]: I was immediately discussed.
- 4:40[SPEAKER_00]: Well, they just didn't look like the kind of guys who would want to go see a horror movie.
- 4:44[SPEAKER_01]: Well, especially because this horror movie is like about children disappearing in the middle of the night, which is like, doesn't really feel like they're, well, yeah, just didn't feel, especially on a movie.
- 4:54[SPEAKER_00]: You might,
- 4:55[SPEAKER_00]: It's not weird to see men at horror movies, but to see that many together, like they got these to it was opening night.
- 5:02[SPEAKER_00]: It's frankly unnerving to see a group of men together anywhere.
- 5:05[SPEAKER_01]: So I can imagine having a movie.
- 5:06[SPEAKER_01]: You were like, actually, you know, I don't know something if you be mentally, really shouldn't be allowed to go to horror movies, especially not in a group with their mob mentality, with their mob mentality that's ingrained in them from birth, like they don't need to go get ideas.
- 5:18[SPEAKER_01]: You should have said, are you guys here to get ideas?
- 5:20[SPEAKER_01]: Are you here for research or are you here for pleasure?
- 5:22[SPEAKER_01]: Either way, I don't like the answer.
- 5:23[SPEAKER_01]: Get out.
- 5:24[SPEAKER_01]: Get to bed.
- 5:25[SPEAKER_01]: Like you should have just kicked them right out of there.
- 5:27[SPEAKER_01]: That's your theater.
- 5:28[SPEAKER_00]: The group in front of me were clearly men who had just gotten off of work.
- 5:32[SPEAKER_00]: They were all in like suits.
- 5:34[SPEAKER_00]: And like, like they all had fears.
- 5:37[SPEAKER_00]: They were like locked in for this movie.
- 5:39[SPEAKER_00]: So it's a movie theater.
- 5:40[SPEAKER_00]: Can't imagine anything worse.
- 5:41[SPEAKER_00]: They came straight from word.
- 5:43[SPEAKER_00]: That's for sure.
- 5:44[SPEAKER_00]: Bring it in close.
- 5:46[SPEAKER_00]: What the fuck?
- 5:47[SPEAKER_00]: So it was just a very weird emalgamation of people.
- 5:52[SPEAKER_00]: And what I didn't like was that during the, and I understand that we were kind of all prepped to like we had to sit for a while.
- 6:00[SPEAKER_00]: People were talking, people were kind of loud.
- 6:02[SPEAKER_00]: When the while the lights are on, then the trailer start and the talking continues at a level, but I'm like, oh my god, you're like, this is not appropriate.
- 6:10[SPEAKER_00]: Listen, and like you can keep it to a slight murmur during the trailers.
- 6:13[SPEAKER_00]: That's what I'm saying.
- 6:14[SPEAKER_00]: It's like, it's not the talking during the trailers.
- 6:16[SPEAKER_00]: Obviously, you don't really care.
- 6:17[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, the trailers.
- 6:19[SPEAKER_00]: But I'm immediate.
- 6:20[SPEAKER_00]: Now I'm spending the thirty minutes before the movie worried that
- 6:24[SPEAKER_00]: This is how you're going to behave behavior.
- 6:26[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, the whole time that we're going to.
- 6:29[SPEAKER_00]: You shouldn't be acting this way.
- 6:30[SPEAKER_00]: It's opening night.
- 6:31[SPEAKER_00]: I know you're taking this movie seriously.
- 6:32[SPEAKER_00]: It's me.
- 6:33[SPEAKER_00]: Right.
- 6:33[SPEAKER_00]: Cause you're here.
- 6:34[SPEAKER_00]: You're in suits.
- 6:34[SPEAKER_01]: You seem very serious with the return to the movie theater.
- 6:37[SPEAKER_01]: I do think we need a return to movie theater etiquette.
- 6:40[SPEAKER_01]: Like we need somebody Emily post if you're out there.
- 6:43[SPEAKER_01]: We need an etiquette guide on movie theaters because we're going back and I love it.
- 6:48[SPEAKER_01]: a return we need like a flight attendant.
- 6:51[SPEAKER_01]: Mark before moving right before hand and they're like here the we honestly do we honestly do and I'll do it.
- 6:58[SPEAKER_01]: Okay okay AMC cinema you can have me and Phoebe on the podcast to record that and we will play it before every movie and I wouldn't even make you pay us as long as I know when I go to the movie people are acting people are looking quiet yeah that's all I need to know it's all I need to know and if you want to have Nicole Kevin do it that's fine too for for AMC but for some market will be me.
- 7:16[SPEAKER_00]: This is unrelated to the talking in trailers, but this is related to my movie experience.
- 7:21[SPEAKER_00]: This guy walks in once the movie started.
- 7:23[SPEAKER_00]: He missed maybe like the first three minutes.
- 7:25[SPEAKER_00]: Okay.
- 7:26[SPEAKER_00]: And he's alone and he's a large popcorn, not doing because I do how could you.
- 7:31[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, he sits down in the middle of the row in front of me that I know is like,
- 7:38[SPEAKER_00]: like it's already shorter shorter shorter shorter and like he comes in and he sits in the middle seat with that large popcorn.
- 7:45[SPEAKER_00]: You know those people are so mad at you then it's giving the death of a unicorn eater because I was truly like I there were multiple to and you know it takes a lot for me.
- 7:56[SPEAKER_00]: Oh no I know to make any sort of like yeah I didn't make a remark obviously but like if it was quiet and I could hear it and I'll I'll try to explain how it sounded in a second but I would I would literally go I
- 8:08[SPEAKER_01]: No, Phoebe, Phoebe, that is exactly.
- 8:10[SPEAKER_01]: What is the movie?
- 8:11[SPEAKER_01]: I know it's you to the best summer.
- 8:12[SPEAKER_01]: Kelly and I were doing that.
- 8:14[SPEAKER_01]: You couldn't believe your ears when I told you, but like, now you know, like, once it gets to a certain point, what else can I do?
- 8:20[SPEAKER_00]: And like, what are the people besides you doing and thinking?
- 8:23[SPEAKER_00]: It was truly like you could hear him reach in the, I am in here, like, jumping around and there.
- 8:29[SPEAKER_00]: You hear him put it on his mouth.
- 8:30[SPEAKER_00]: And then when I, like, I'm in a class, no, worse.
- 8:34[SPEAKER_00]: I'm in a class with a rhythm that he was showing.
- 8:35[SPEAKER_00]: Oh my God, please, that's fast.
- 8:37[SPEAKER_01]: I know I can't how do some people too so fast is your jaw okay, and then I literally like, okay, surely we're gonna take a little break.
- 8:44[SPEAKER_00]: No, and then also again Caroline and I were beating a dead horse here, but like
- 8:50[SPEAKER_00]: I don't understand how people are not.
- 8:53[SPEAKER_00]: So with the second, like the worst thing in a movie it happens a lot in this movie where it's like really loud and you feel comfortable eating and like being okay with how you're eating and how you're sounding.
- 9:02[SPEAKER_00]: I've had a transition right.
- 9:03[SPEAKER_00]: I'm going to have Reese's PCs phase right now.
- 9:06[SPEAKER_01]: And instead of interesting for you because you're not like a peanut butter girl, but I like Reese's.
- 9:11[SPEAKER_01]: I like Reese's, but I don't like Reese's PCs.
- 9:13[SPEAKER_00]: I do.
- 9:14[SPEAKER_00]: I love them.
- 9:15[SPEAKER_00]: So I have been having those in certain those are crunchier and they're crunching in a different way than bunch of crunch.
- 9:21[SPEAKER_00]: But they don't have to be.
- 9:22[SPEAKER_00]: You know, you can, you can, I've realized it a little bit.
- 9:25[SPEAKER_00]: Bunch of crunch are easier to do that with.
- 9:28[SPEAKER_00]: Because the hard shell is on the outside of the candy and set up like the crunch you're part being on the inside.
- 9:36[SPEAKER_00]: It's kind of not easy to do that.
- 9:38[SPEAKER_01]: And the bunch of crunches at the different layers, you can kind of hit it at a spot where it's not going to work big.
- 9:43[SPEAKER_01]: It's called respect.
- 9:44[SPEAKER_01]: And also, I need to teach all of you guys something.
- 9:46[SPEAKER_01]: Like, I need everybody listening to hear me now.
- 9:49[SPEAKER_01]: When you are taking a bite of something, you put it in your mouth, close your fucking mouth before you bite down on it.
- 9:55[SPEAKER_01]: Okay?
- 9:56[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, my God.
- 9:58[SPEAKER_01]: This drives me so insane.
- 10:00[SPEAKER_01]: If I can hear, I don't, you could be the best close mouth you were on earth.
- 10:03[SPEAKER_01]: But if you start every bite with a big help,
- 10:05[SPEAKER_01]: And a big snap that I can hear.
- 10:09[SPEAKER_01]: I'm freaking out.
- 10:10[SPEAKER_00]: I'm scared of every bite that you take.
- 10:13[SPEAKER_00]: And that's how I felt the second I heard this guy kind of rattling his hand around.
- 10:17[SPEAKER_00]: I was like, oh my god.
- 10:19[SPEAKER_00]: And he would do it when it's quiet.
- 10:22[SPEAKER_00]: Why are you love going to movies?
- 10:24[SPEAKER_00]: You're in fashion.
- 10:25[SPEAKER_00]: It's quiet movie.
- 10:28[SPEAKER_00]: It's quiet and loud at times, but it's like, you know you're in a packed theater.
- 10:32[SPEAKER_00]: How do you not hear yourself?
- 10:33[SPEAKER_00]: I know, I know.
- 10:34[SPEAKER_00]: And also how, and then thankfully, he was eating so fucking fast.
- 10:39[SPEAKER_00]: And he didn't get a refill.
- 10:40[SPEAKER_00]: So that's got about halfway through the movie.
- 10:42[SPEAKER_00]: It stopped, but it's a long enough movie that we still had to sit through.
- 10:46[SPEAKER_00]: And I love that.
- 10:47[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 10:48[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 10:48[SPEAKER_01]: No, I completely understand.
- 10:51[SPEAKER_01]: And that is also, I think it is primarily a bigger issue with dramas and horrors because there is so much silence.
- 10:58[SPEAKER_00]: Action's better.
- 10:59[SPEAKER_01]: People are nervous.
- 11:01[SPEAKER_01]: And it's like, oh my god, I just, I know.
- 11:03[SPEAKER_00]: Well, I know from personal experience, there's a way to do it.
- 11:07[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, a hundred percent because I never had a trouble finishing my concessions.
- 11:11[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, it's been okay.
- 11:12[SPEAKER_01]: Like I've been fine.
- 11:12[SPEAKER_01]: I just said, you know, and if I do make a noise, it's really loud, I'm aware of it.
- 11:16[SPEAKER_01]: And I'm like, okay, I need to do better.
- 11:17[SPEAKER_00]: I can't do that.
- 11:18[SPEAKER_01]: I feel bad about that.
- 11:19[SPEAKER_01]: You know, notes to myself.
- 11:20[SPEAKER_01]: But no one, yeah.
- 11:21[SPEAKER_01]: Well, I went to see Freaky Friday and I'll talk about it in a sec.
- 11:24[SPEAKER_01]: But we all thought me Anthony and Kelly went together when we left.
- 11:28[SPEAKER_01]: We were like, okay, that was like a crowd that should deserve rights.
- 11:31[SPEAKER_01]: Like that crowd can go see movies again.
- 11:33[SPEAKER_01]: It's okay.
- 11:33[SPEAKER_01]: We sign off on that.
- 11:35[SPEAKER_00]: Well, what was all the hate?
- 11:36[SPEAKER_00]: The last thing I'll say about weapons is me walking out of there.
- 11:39[SPEAKER_00]: There was a lot of funnier than I anticipated, which I guess I should have, but I don't remember thinking barbarian was like a ha ha funny movie.
- 11:46[SPEAKER_00]: Like there were some videos that I didn't see it.
- 11:47[SPEAKER_00]: I didn't see it in theaters.
- 11:49[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, I've seen it though.
- 11:51[SPEAKER_00]: But I don't remember.
- 11:53[SPEAKER_00]: I didn't walk away from it being like that was also a funny movie where I did with weapons.
- 11:58[SPEAKER_00]: So I wasn't expecting that.
- 11:59[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, as much in the trailer was not funny.
- 12:02[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, so I'm walking out of the theater and I see the guys in their suits and they're talking about the movie and they loved it so much on the stuff and the one guy goes I haven't laughed like that since Eddington
- 12:15[SPEAKER_01]: The movie that you hated, that was famous as Zero Lobby.
- 12:18[SPEAKER_00]: But I'm like, I'm like, of course, this group.
- 12:20[SPEAKER_00]: And then one of them goes, oh my god, did you see friendship?
- 12:23[SPEAKER_00]: The Tim Robinson movie?
- 12:25[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, I was like, okay, I immediately just got a picture of it in this group as well.
- 12:29[SPEAKER_00]: You were an enemy territory fee.
- 12:31[SPEAKER_00]: And you weren't, I think I really, I didn't realize that.
- 12:34[SPEAKER_00]: Krieger was like this kind of guy for this stuff.
- 12:37[SPEAKER_00]: Well, now you know, but it wasn't good.
- 12:39[SPEAKER_00]: And everybody should go see it.
- 12:41[SPEAKER_00]: It was fun.
- 12:42[SPEAKER_00]: There's a new worm moving coming out.
- 12:43[SPEAKER_00]: They're saying is going to be also really good.
- 12:47[SPEAKER_00]: It's going to be from the it's called good boy.
- 12:49[SPEAKER_00]: And it's going to be from the perspective of a dog who is seen his owner being haunted.
- 12:56[SPEAKER_01]: Oh my god.
- 12:57[SPEAKER_00]: I think it's going to be really cool.
- 12:58[SPEAKER_00]: It comes out this year.
- 13:00[SPEAKER_01]: Wow, that sounds crazy.
- 13:03[SPEAKER_01]: Well, I'm glad that the movie was good.
- 13:06[SPEAKER_01]: I'm excited to go see it.
- 13:08[SPEAKER_01]: And then we'll probably do a more end up discussion because I've seen so much discourse about it.
- 13:12[SPEAKER_01]: People saying it's about nothing.
- 13:14[SPEAKER_01]: People like how can you say that it's about nothing.
- 13:16[SPEAKER_01]: People saying they like to people saying they didn't.
- 13:17[SPEAKER_01]: So it'll be good to talk about it once we both seen it.
- 13:20[SPEAKER_01]: Maybe that's for the podcast this week so that on Friday or this weekend.
- 13:25[SPEAKER_01]: on the podcast so that we can put spoilers behind a paywall.
- 13:28[SPEAKER_01]: So if you don't want to hear them, you don't have to.
- 13:31[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, I forgot to put this on the note, but I need to point out guys.
- 13:33[SPEAKER_01]: Okay, so you know how much I love Kava.
- 13:35[SPEAKER_01]: You know it's my favorite food.
- 13:37[SPEAKER_01]: Like I can't wait.
- 13:38[SPEAKER_01]: We're going to get to and Pittsburgh at some point this year.
- 13:41[SPEAKER_01]: And I'm flumbling at the mouth cannot wait.
- 13:42[SPEAKER_01]: Did one open already?
- 13:43[SPEAKER_01]: I feel like.
- 13:44[SPEAKER_01]: Um, I would know.
- 13:45[SPEAKER_01]: I don't think so, but uh, leave me, I would fucking know.
- 13:49[SPEAKER_01]: So Anthony the other night, it's like, like, I just teaching later something.
- 13:53[SPEAKER_01]: It got home kind of late, and I was just like just gonna eat like whatever, not eat and in Anthony, it was like, I need a feed you and you eat.
- 13:59[SPEAKER_01]: So it's a little bit late.
- 14:00[SPEAKER_01]: A lot of things are closed.
- 14:01[SPEAKER_01]: Like it was like, me know what's in that way.
- 14:02[SPEAKER_01]: It was like eight thirty, but a lot of the things that like we could order from weren't delivering past like eight, fifteen.
- 14:07[SPEAKER_01]: So he's like sending me all these places and I don't know if it's like an OCD thing or if it's just like a me like I think I need to like talk about this maybe with my team but I have like a really like I do not like really going new places I realized like I just want to I think it's also we growing up we're very like routine yeah like we had our spots that we went to yeah we weren't really a family that was like going and
- 14:37[SPEAKER_00]: Like, I feel like, I remember there was a family too.
- 14:39[SPEAKER_01]: I was like, I don't want to try the new thing.
- 14:40[SPEAKER_01]: Like, my mom would be like, I really want to try them like no one.
- 14:43[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, no, like it would make me like upset kind of.
- 14:46[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know why.
- 14:47[SPEAKER_00]: Or you saying that.
- 14:48[SPEAKER_00]: I got you off.
- 14:49[SPEAKER_00]: Well, no, I just mean like, I think that that could possibly, I don't know if it makes you, I don't think there's any wrong.
- 14:55[SPEAKER_00]: I think it's just like, we growing up.
- 14:57[SPEAKER_00]: I'm the same, like, I hate change.
- 14:59[SPEAKER_00]: I'm really, yeah, really bad at handling it.
- 15:02[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I wouldn't just brush trunks.
- 15:03[SPEAKER_00]: Maybe not, but like I was also like I would rather just go to Austria as I would rather just go to Switzerland rather just go to sushi and then we would kids.
- 15:12[SPEAKER_00]: Right.
- 15:12[SPEAKER_01]: I know I'm going to get something that I like and I also like I pretty much order the same thing.
- 15:16[SPEAKER_01]: I like meals from restaurants.
- 15:18[SPEAKER_01]: I like that's my meal.
- 15:19[SPEAKER_01]: That's what I got.
- 15:19[SPEAKER_01]: Whatever.
- 15:21[SPEAKER_01]: So Anthony, I don't know.
- 15:22[SPEAKER_01]: There's something about trying a new place on DoorDash, too, that I'm just like, you never know where you're going to go.
- 15:27[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know.
- 15:27[SPEAKER_01]: It could be like a ghost kitchen.
- 15:28[SPEAKER_00]: Especially if you don't really recognize the restaurant.
- 15:31[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I was just like, I don't know.
- 15:33[SPEAKER_01]: And I just like didn't want to.
- 15:35[SPEAKER_01]: And by the end of the day, my decision making time out.
- 15:37[SPEAKER_01]: Like, I don't want to do any.
- 15:38[SPEAKER_01]: I just don't think.
- 15:39[SPEAKER_01]: I'm like stress.
- 15:40[SPEAKER_01]: So Anthony sent me all these like Mediterranean places because it's what he wants.
- 15:44[SPEAKER_01]: And I was like, I don't want any of these.
- 15:45[SPEAKER_01]: Like, I don't want anything because I hadn't tried any of them before.
- 15:48[SPEAKER_01]: And I was like, no, no, no, no, no.
- 15:50[SPEAKER_01]: And he's like, all right, screw it.
- 15:51[SPEAKER_01]: I'm just ordering you something like shut up.
- 15:52[SPEAKER_01]: And so he ends up ordering me a bull from this place called Metza, M E Z E H. And it came and I opened it and I was like, Oh, my God.
- 16:02[SPEAKER_01]: This looks like you could have a best thing I've ever eaten.
- 16:05[SPEAKER_01]: So here's what it was.
- 16:06[SPEAKER_01]: Okay, I did have where is it?
- 16:08[SPEAKER_01]: I have no idea.
- 16:09[SPEAKER_01]: I did half-row main, half-arugula, and then roasted chickpeas, so they're crunchy.
- 16:15[SPEAKER_01]: I did steak schwarma.
- 16:18[SPEAKER_01]: I did like the Lebanese salad kind of thing that they put on at a lot.
- 16:24[SPEAKER_01]: And sometimes I'm at a like house salad.
- 16:26[SPEAKER_01]: I did fatta.
- 16:29[SPEAKER_01]: I did some teziki, I did some hummus, some cucumbers,
- 16:35[SPEAKER_01]: some shredded pita chips.
- 16:37[SPEAKER_01]: Like, and then it came with a Greek feda dressing and like a citrus lime been a grab.
- 16:45[SPEAKER_01]: And, and then I also got some pita chips and hummus on the side tray.
- 16:48[SPEAKER_01]: I Phoebe it, first of all, it was so much like kava.
- 16:51[SPEAKER_01]: It was like almost exactly like kava.
- 16:53[SPEAKER_01]: But kava doesn't have the roasted chick peas, but they don't have the great pita.
- 16:56[SPEAKER_01]: I'm still gonna want kava.
- 16:58[SPEAKER_01]: It was so good.
- 16:59[SPEAKER_01]: I could not believe it.
- 17:00[SPEAKER_01]: It's like all my favorite foods like I love food like this.
- 17:03[SPEAKER_01]: I have now ordered it three days in a row.
- 17:06[SPEAKER_01]: It's so good.
- 17:07[SPEAKER_01]: So anyway, if you work there and you're listening, thank you, plus up.
- 17:11[SPEAKER_01]: And if you haven't been there, I think it's probably a chain.
- 17:13[SPEAKER_01]: So I'm sure there are some around.
- 17:14[SPEAKER_01]: So if you're craving like a cobble situation and you don't have it, maybe trying something new will serve you well.
- 17:21[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know because now it's my new heart of expectation.
- 17:23[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 17:24[SPEAKER_00]: How is the roots kitchen roots is really good too, but a lot of holes.
- 17:29[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, it's right through Andy can set a lot of the bowls have corn.
- 17:31[SPEAKER_01]: I'm just not like a corn.
- 17:35[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know because I've only been through the drive through.
- 17:37[SPEAKER_01]: I bet if you're in there you can and it's probably, but I was just like stressed out what I was in the drive through.
- 17:41[SPEAKER_00]: But it was pretty good or like whatever.
- 17:43[SPEAKER_01]: It was really good.
- 17:43[SPEAKER_01]: I didn't think I really liked it.
- 17:44[SPEAKER_01]: I think it was good.
- 17:46[SPEAKER_01]: Um, I've again, I've only in there one time.
- 17:48[SPEAKER_01]: So yes, but um, you'll have to go yourself.
- 17:52[SPEAKER_01]: Sorry.
- 17:53[SPEAKER_01]: Guys, do you see the new feature on Instagram?
- 17:54[SPEAKER_01]: We got repost now.
- 17:56[SPEAKER_01]: What is what are we doing?
- 17:57[SPEAKER_01]: We all need to decide this right now.
- 17:59[SPEAKER_01]: Like what is the protocol with repost versus putting it on your story?
- 18:04[SPEAKER_00]: I don't like it all.
- 18:05[SPEAKER_01]: Why?
- 18:06[SPEAKER_00]: Because I don't like what it's doing to my feed.
- 18:08[SPEAKER_00]: Actually, I already hate the suggested posts.
- 18:11[SPEAKER_00]: I mute them every thirty days.
- 18:12[SPEAKER_00]: I just, I don't go to Instagram for that.
- 18:15[SPEAKER_01]: Well, hey, I need you to get outside of yourself for a second and think about our podcast.
- 18:19[SPEAKER_00]: Okay, well, it's great for our podcast.
- 18:20[SPEAKER_01]: It's great for our podcast.
- 18:22[SPEAKER_01]: If you guys could go repost everything, I'm out.
- 18:25[SPEAKER_00]: What I will say is like every change in sticker makes makes me mad and then it's like, and then you like ingrained in my life.
- 18:30[SPEAKER_00]: Like stories used to, used to make me mad and now it's like, that's the worst.
- 18:35[SPEAKER_01]: I think we need to decide how we're using this, are we?
- 18:38[SPEAKER_01]: Because that is one thing about repost, too, like what I like about stories is that's just twenty four hours.
- 18:42[SPEAKER_01]: So I can kind of like take some risks there.
- 18:45[SPEAKER_01]: But if I'm reposting something, that's now becoming, and where do they want it?
- 18:49[SPEAKER_01]: So it's like on TikTok.
- 18:50[SPEAKER_01]: There's like another tab for repost.
- 18:52[SPEAKER_01]: Can you hide it?
- 18:54[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know.
- 18:54[SPEAKER_01]: I haven't tried.
- 18:55[SPEAKER_01]: I haven't tried, but I'm wondering, like, for...
- 18:58[SPEAKER_01]: Am I going to treat it like a treat TikTok reposts?
- 19:01[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know.
- 19:01[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know if I will because I only have like a couple followers on TikTok.
- 19:04[SPEAKER_00]: So like my reposts are really just me like making sure who I want to see these things.
- 19:09[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 19:09[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 19:10[SPEAKER_01]: No, me too.
- 19:11[SPEAKER_01]: But I'm wondering for the podcast like I'm just thinking we're going to repost things that like
- 19:17[SPEAKER_01]: monoculture, huge moments, things that are big for our podcasts, and then they're living there.
- 19:22[SPEAKER_01]: But then, like, how do I decide what goes in the story, what goes on, what goes on the repulse?
- 19:26[SPEAKER_01]: What are you guys doing?
- 19:26[SPEAKER_00]: I want to know what you guys are thinking for this.
- 19:28[SPEAKER_00]: I think the things that are most important should go on the story.
- 19:31[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know how to explain what I'm going to say, but like, it's more straightforward on TikTok to see who's reposit it, whereas on Instagram, it kind of, there's so much going on in that bottom left corner already that it kind of gets lost.
- 19:43[SPEAKER_00]: And I know they kind of soft launched out with the
- 19:47[SPEAKER_00]: Seem on the right.
- 19:49[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, that which I hated I don't like that and I also don't like that.
- 19:52[SPEAKER_00]: You have to click on the comment now like the I don't really like how it's all laid out.
- 19:56[SPEAKER_00]: Mm-hmm.
- 19:57[SPEAKER_00]: In this old Instagram.
- 19:59[SPEAKER_00]: I miss twenty eleven Instagram.
- 20:01[SPEAKER_00]: I miss Kelvin filters.
- 20:04[SPEAKER_00]: I miss posting a little filter on it.
- 20:10[SPEAKER_00]: That's what I miss.
- 20:12[SPEAKER_00]: I miss when my original Instagram bio was just relaxing in my forever lazy
- 20:20[SPEAKER_01]: to change it right back.
- 20:22[SPEAKER_01]: Okay, and fact some of us as long as you keep pretty little podcasts in there, I don't give a brand of bios.
- 20:27[SPEAKER_01]: That's it's so true.
- 20:28[SPEAKER_01]: Thank you for finally acknowledging that.
- 20:30[SPEAKER_01]: Maybe we'll get me who gets sponsored.
- 20:32[SPEAKER_01]: Maybe a Instagram.
- 20:34[SPEAKER_01]: It's forever lazy.
- 20:35[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, forever lazy.
- 20:36[SPEAKER_01]: I think my Instagram because we're going to have such great.
- 20:39[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, no.
- 20:39[SPEAKER_01]: It's just great.
- 20:40[SPEAKER_01]: We're like digging into their platform right now.
- 20:41[SPEAKER_01]: I know we are.
- 20:42[SPEAKER_01]: We are.
- 20:43[SPEAKER_01]: Okay.
- 20:45[SPEAKER_01]: Moving on, I want to go under free gear Friday.
- 20:46[SPEAKER_01]: I want to drive in here.
- 20:47[SPEAKER_01]: All right, skipping the two other things on your list.
- 20:50[SPEAKER_01]: Crazy.
- 20:50[SPEAKER_01]: Well, I know the font.
- 20:54[SPEAKER_01]: Since you've called it out, I'll talk about it, but I just, it's, it's just something that I noticed like, I was just like, what?
- 21:00[SPEAKER_01]: No, because I have the same qualm.
- 21:02[SPEAKER_01]: Okay.
- 21:03[SPEAKER_01]: Why are there some fonts that are like, actually in no thanks?
- 21:06[SPEAKER_01]: I won't be italic.
- 21:07[SPEAKER_01]: Huh?
- 21:08[SPEAKER_01]: I'm German Torch here.
- 21:09[SPEAKER_01]: I'm choosing what you're going to do.
- 21:11[SPEAKER_01]: I'm going to choose what you're going to lean.
- 21:12[SPEAKER_01]: And you're going to go with it.
- 21:13[SPEAKER_01]: Hey, Claire.
- 21:14[SPEAKER_01]: Hey, Claire.
- 21:15[SPEAKER_01]: You don't have rights.
- 21:16[SPEAKER_01]: Don't forget that.
- 21:17[SPEAKER_01]: Okay.
- 21:18[SPEAKER_01]: Don't forget that.
- 21:19[SPEAKER_01]: I just am like so sad.
- 21:21[SPEAKER_01]: This is my I don't think so honey.
- 21:22[SPEAKER_00]: I guess like if you're a font I should be able to make you be italic Carolyn and I are going first in the work and say I they're going to be like let's find those two girls that keep going.
- 21:32[SPEAKER_01]: I started calling them clankers at work.
- 21:34[SPEAKER_01]: I was like why not?
- 21:35[SPEAKER_01]: I know I want you all to know that's what they're called.
- 21:37[SPEAKER_01]: I know we didn't come up with this but we are popularizing it and that makes it.
- 21:41[SPEAKER_01]: It makes me laugh so hard.
- 21:42[SPEAKER_01]: It does.
- 21:42[SPEAKER_01]: It does.
- 21:43[SPEAKER_01]: But I'm just like, I was trying to find, I was trying to make that the summer I turned pretty opposed for us, and I was like, what the fuck is this font?
- 21:49[SPEAKER_01]: I'm Googling it, I can't really find it.
- 21:51[SPEAKER_01]: So I'm like trying out all these different fonts, and I was like, I need to be italic, and like, I found the perfect font, and it wouldn't let me put it here.
- 21:59[SPEAKER_00]: Canva is a number one culprit, too.
- 22:01[SPEAKER_00]: I feel like really more fonts on Canva that won't go italic than if you're in like a regular kind of
- 22:07[SPEAKER_00]: I was just like, play straight away.
- 22:08[SPEAKER_01]: Okay, but why?
- 22:09[SPEAKER_01]: Like, it's not like, it's not that special.
- 22:13[SPEAKER_00]: Put the pixels where they need to go.
- 22:14[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, and this font isn't like, it's not like some cream.
- 22:16[SPEAKER_01]: I'm not using a Times New Raymond.
- 22:18[SPEAKER_00]: Like, you know what I mean?
- 22:19[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I'm thinner.
- 22:20[SPEAKER_01]: I'm using like a condensed Serif font.
- 22:23[SPEAKER_01]: That is what I'm doing here.
- 22:25[SPEAKER_01]: And you can't put it in an italics for real.
- 22:27[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know.
- 22:29[SPEAKER_01]: I just thought honestly it's hateful.
- 22:30[SPEAKER_01]: I felt hateful.
- 22:31[SPEAKER_01]: And I was trying to make this in.
- 22:32[SPEAKER_01]: And I had to find a new font.
- 22:33[SPEAKER_01]: I was like, but I don't want to find a new font.
- 22:34[SPEAKER_01]: I found the font I want to use.
- 22:36[SPEAKER_01]: And then I was like, is there another way to do this?
- 22:38[SPEAKER_01]: I'm sure somebody's gonna come in here and tell me, but it was not about to ask a clanker.
- 22:41[SPEAKER_01]: I'm like, let me ask a clanker.
- 22:46[SPEAKER_01]: I can trust you, clankers, and we're gonna, oh, I don't know if you know that we're gonna talk more about clankers, but we are going to be talking more about clankers, which is why.
- 22:54[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know that, but just quickly before we get into freaky Friday, I do want to say, I also watched Aquamarine this via.
- 23:03[SPEAKER_00]: Our mortal enemy, isn't it?
- 23:04[SPEAKER_01]: For God?
- 23:05[SPEAKER_01]: Okay, but she's less of our mortal enemy.
- 23:07[SPEAKER_01]: We're talking about Tam and Saraslaga, we're hard of her.
- 23:09[SPEAKER_01]: She's one of our enemies for a short.
- 23:11[SPEAKER_01]: I was like Phoebe, can you believe we have beef with Kim possible?
- 23:16[SPEAKER_01]: We have beef with mows and we have beef with the one of Cecilia's side kicks in awkwardly.
- 23:21[SPEAKER_01]: Like we guys get with it.
- 23:23[SPEAKER_00]: We might not have beef with this other side.
- 23:25[SPEAKER_00]: I think that we did realize that this is another little cameo and all.
- 23:28[SPEAKER_00]: Yes.
- 23:29[SPEAKER_00]: Gemma from severance is Cecilia's other friend who gets replaced halfway through the movie with a girl that Cecilia then fat shames.
- 23:39[SPEAKER_01]: I need to go rewatch it because I, I want to see that moment because I never registered for me that she was replaced but when you told me she was in it I could see her in my head with the blonde hair and they're all blonde.
- 23:51[SPEAKER_01]: You could miss it.
- 23:52[SPEAKER_01]: You could miss that it's Tam and you could miss that it's Gemma, but it is.
- 23:54[SPEAKER_00]: But what's something I realized by Aquarine is that when you're a kid and you're watching movies about older people,
- 24:02[SPEAKER_00]: They all look the same age.
- 24:03[SPEAKER_00]: Yes.
- 24:04[SPEAKER_00]: And now I'm watching back and I'm like, wait, what's going on here?
- 24:07[SPEAKER_00]: Mm-hmm.
- 24:08[SPEAKER_00]: And my Robert's looks eleven.
- 24:10[SPEAKER_00]: JoJo looks fourteen.
- 24:12[SPEAKER_00]: She looks the right age for being there about to go into eighth grade.
- 24:16[SPEAKER_00]: Sarah Paxton looks, I think she, I was Googling all their ages from when they did the movie.
- 24:22[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 24:22[SPEAKER_00]: They were all around the same age, but Sarah Paxton, she looks like twenty.
- 24:27[SPEAKER_00]: I feel like in the fucking movie.
- 24:29[SPEAKER_00]: There are scenes where she looks younger, but I feel like she looks
- 24:32[SPEAKER_00]: She definitely looks older than JoJo and Emma Roberts.
- 24:35[SPEAKER_00]: And then Cecilia and Raymond look like.
- 24:39[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, a hundred percent.
- 24:41[SPEAKER_01]: A hundred percent.
- 24:42[SPEAKER_01]: Raymond is like a five o'clock shadow.
- 24:44[SPEAKER_00]: It was like most feared to me as soon as I watched the movie, but also the scene where Claire comes and she like builds up the courage to barge into Raymond's part.
- 24:54[SPEAKER_00]: No, I know.
- 24:54[SPEAKER_00]: And then she gets thrown in the pool.
- 24:56[SPEAKER_00]: No.
- 24:58[SPEAKER_00]: And I'm like, okay, this girl is eleven years old from bustling into this party.
- 25:03[SPEAKER_01]: And what business do you guys have bullying her?
- 25:05[SPEAKER_00]: She's loving the way that Raymond like comes and runs after her and talks to Claire.
- 25:11[SPEAKER_00]: I'm like, why do you sound like her babysitter?
- 25:13[SPEAKER_00]: I'm Sarah Paxon's older sister.
- 25:16[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 25:16[SPEAKER_00]: And like, you're like, where's your sister?
- 25:18[SPEAKER_00]: I'm going to talk to her.
- 25:19[SPEAKER_00]: I'm going to get this work.
- 25:20[SPEAKER_00]: And it's like, so what, I was trying to figure out what the actual age giant amics were between everybody because it's very clear.
- 25:27[SPEAKER_00]: Jojo is about to leap away.
- 25:28[SPEAKER_00]: Great.
- 25:29[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 25:29[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 25:30[SPEAKER_01]: No, I think that, um, I think Claire and Jojo, I know that I'm using their two different names.
- 25:37[SPEAKER_01]: But Emma Roberts, hey, Jojo.
- 25:40[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I'd say they.
- 25:43[SPEAKER_01]: I feel like it's the kind of vibe where it's like they grew up at this beach and they've always had a crush on Raymond and he's always been like the lifeguard.
- 25:50[SPEAKER_01]: They've always known him, but he's not by any means their age.
- 25:55[SPEAKER_01]: I think that he is probably like a senior in high school.
- 25:59[SPEAKER_01]: And I think it's just someone that they've been like, oh my god he's so dreamy and he probably knows they have crushes on him and he probably like taught their swimming classes.
- 26:06[SPEAKER_01]: You know what I mean?
- 26:06[SPEAKER_01]: I feel like it's that kind of vibe.
- 26:09[SPEAKER_00]: Cecilia, then it is like, what business do you have?
- 26:11[SPEAKER_00]: Exactly.
- 26:12[SPEAKER_00]: Cecilia, two of these eleven year to these children.
- 26:15[SPEAKER_00]: When they walk up to that first scene when they walk past them on the beach.
- 26:18[SPEAKER_00]: And then they go, Cecilia is back from K-Op.
- 26:21[SPEAKER_00]: I'm like, what can't was Cecilia going to K-Op?
- 26:24[SPEAKER_00]: So when they walk past them and Cecilia goes, you are never going to get a tan if you keep wearing those shirts.
- 26:31[SPEAKER_00]: Don't say that to the kid.
- 26:32[SPEAKER_01]: Don't say that to the child.
- 26:33[SPEAKER_01]: The child.
- 26:34[SPEAKER_01]: Thank you.
- 26:35[SPEAKER_01]: No, it's really a bizarre, a bizarre.
- 26:37[SPEAKER_01]: I knew if I mean it holds up though, that means it's just, it's so comfortable.
- 26:43[SPEAKER_00]: And it made me think of when we would, when we were saying it stamp, stamp paper before we got the house.
- 26:51[SPEAKER_00]: And we would go to Island Realty to pick up the key.
- 26:54[SPEAKER_00]: And the water tower is right.
- 26:56[SPEAKER_00]: And I feel like we've lost all comery and going to the beach that year probably for your own picture in my head.
- 27:02[SPEAKER_00]: And I was like,
- 27:04[SPEAKER_00]: I think we're going to find a mermaid this summer.
- 27:07[SPEAKER_01]: And we have a water form right here.
- 27:08[SPEAKER_01]: It's perfect.
- 27:09[SPEAKER_01]: Right here and that's our whole keeper.
- 27:11[SPEAKER_01]: And I'm on the hunt for some starfish.
- 27:13[SPEAKER_00]: Now I'm eating and I'm talking about Aquamarine and then it's like quiet for a second.
- 27:16[SPEAKER_00]: She looks up from her phone.
- 27:17[SPEAKER_00]: She goes, um, or no, wait.
- 27:20[SPEAKER_00]: Maybe this wasn't, I'm picturing two different conversations.
- 27:23[SPEAKER_00]: But this did happen.
- 27:24[SPEAKER_00]: She goes completely seriously.
- 27:26[SPEAKER_00]: It's like, do you believe in roommates?
- 27:30[SPEAKER_00]: Well, it's valid.
- 27:31[SPEAKER_00]: And I was like, I mean, I don't know.
- 27:33[SPEAKER_00]: I kind of don't want to say no.
- 27:35[SPEAKER_00]: I don't want to rule it out.
- 27:36[SPEAKER_00]: And she was, what do you mean you don't want to rule it out?
- 27:38[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, she doesn't.
- 27:39[SPEAKER_00]: No, no, no, no.
- 27:40[SPEAKER_00]: Okay, so much fun here.
- 27:42[SPEAKER_00]: I was like, well, I mean, I don't know for certain that there are more people in the ocean and she goes, I am.
- 27:49[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, she's like, no, I think it's, me and me basically living her life, I get's a fact.
- 27:53[SPEAKER_00]: And then she was like, well, what about vampires?
- 27:56[SPEAKER_00]: I was like, I mean, seeing you deal.
- 27:57[SPEAKER_00]: Like, I am kind of like, I don't want to pull it out.
- 28:00[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 28:01[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 28:01[SPEAKER_00]: And she's like, that is so interesting.
- 28:03[SPEAKER_00]: Okay.
- 28:03[SPEAKER_00]: Vampires that I'm like a draw line.
- 28:05[SPEAKER_00]: Hey, Mimi, you're the interesting one in this conversation.
- 28:09[SPEAKER_01]: Do you know how scared I was of vampires as a kid?
- 28:11[SPEAKER_01]: I was like vampires are not only real, but they want me specifically.
- 28:15[SPEAKER_01]: I thought I would remember that movie.
- 28:17[SPEAKER_00]: Did the scare you to that movie on Disney?
- 28:19[SPEAKER_00]: Yep.
- 28:19[SPEAKER_00]: My mom's day with a vampire.
- 28:21[SPEAKER_00]: Absolutely.
- 28:23[SPEAKER_00]: which I know Anthony said my date with President's orders and on Disney+, it's not, but my mom's date with the vampire is.
- 28:29[SPEAKER_01]: Well, maybe that's what I got confused when I told him that it is.
- 28:34[SPEAKER_01]: I was so freaked out by vampires.
- 28:37[SPEAKER_01]: I just remember as a kid, I was like, this is as spooky as a guy.
- 28:41[SPEAKER_01]: These are really fucking scary things.
- 28:44[SPEAKER_01]: This is real shit.
- 28:45[SPEAKER_00]: And the playroom after reading Goosebumps to Mom and Dad and say, hey guys,
- 28:49[SPEAKER_00]: And I specifically, I've been doing some light reading.
- 28:52[SPEAKER_01]: I specifically remember being scared of them when we were living in the old house and Marla not or like I was young to be living by a vampire.
- 28:59[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know.
- 29:01[SPEAKER_01]: I just remember I like in my mind I'm having this memory of like a vampire sticker or something that I had that I was like that should away from me.
- 29:07[SPEAKER_01]: It was like around Halloween time obviously and like
- 29:10[SPEAKER_01]: But I just also remember being so fascinated.
- 29:12[SPEAKER_01]: I was fascinated with the Macabre, you know, anyway.
- 29:17[SPEAKER_01]: But that was, I said, I thought I was Bella Swan.
- 29:19[SPEAKER_01]: It was before I had seen Twilight.
- 29:21[SPEAKER_01]: I just thought that I was like, well, my blood obviously smells amazing and people are looking for me.
- 29:24[SPEAKER_01]: Like that sort of how I, I just thought it was going to happen to me the same way.
- 29:28[SPEAKER_01]: I definitely thought I was going to be kidnapped, like I was so sure I'd be kidnapped by somebody driving a pickup truck.
- 29:33[SPEAKER_00]: Okay, are you sure?
- 29:34[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I thought I was like the special one they were looking for.
- 29:38[SPEAKER_01]: And mom and I used to be like, dude, just remember, why would somebody choose our house?
- 29:42[SPEAKER_01]: Think of all the houses on the street, all the houses here?
- 29:45[SPEAKER_01]: And that would make me feel better.
- 29:46[SPEAKER_01]: But I'd be like, yeah, why would they?
- 29:47[SPEAKER_01]: But then I'm like, I don't know.
- 29:48[SPEAKER_00]: No, but then little Caroline goes, I don't know because I live here because I, because they know about me.
- 29:54[SPEAKER_00]: Like, I don't, maybe because of that?
- 29:56[SPEAKER_01]: No, I know.
- 29:58[SPEAKER_01]: And I also think,
- 30:01[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know.
- 30:02[SPEAKER_01]: And well nowadays, so I still tell myself that when I get scared at night, I'm like, okay, why would somebody choose your house?
- 30:08[SPEAKER_01]: And I always remember, you know, I've got two dogs downstairs.
- 30:10[SPEAKER_01]: Like, I do feel so much fucking safe for having dogs.
- 30:12[SPEAKER_01]: Like, because there's something that's wrong.
- 30:14[SPEAKER_01]: I will know quick.
- 30:15[SPEAKER_00]: And they're down there.
- 30:16[SPEAKER_01]: So yeah, yeah, they will flip out immediately if there's like an intruder, you know?
- 30:21[SPEAKER_01]: And then Anthony, so I feel safe, but I sometimes just get freaked out.
- 30:25[SPEAKER_01]: And the Brian Kohlberger shit has gotten me, I'm like, well, guess what?
- 30:30[SPEAKER_01]: That question doesn't work anymore.
- 30:31[SPEAKER_01]: Now that I know about him, that question, why would they choose our house?
- 30:34[SPEAKER_01]: We don't have, there doesn't have to be a Falcon reason because they've been circling it.
- 30:37[SPEAKER_01]: Because they've been stalking me for months and I had no idea.
- 30:40[SPEAKER_01]: I just saw a video of these girls who got an Airbnb.
- 30:43[SPEAKER_01]: and a car pulled into the driveway.
- 30:45[SPEAKER_01]: And it's the video of the girls putting pushing all the shit in front of the door, pushing front of the door, they're freaking out.
- 30:50[SPEAKER_01]: They're like scared of, they're like, this person isn't leaving me, they just pulled in the driveway and they're just like sitting in our driveway.
- 30:56[SPEAKER_01]: And some people were commenting, like, oh my god, like, yeah, I'm sure all that shit you put in front of the door is gonna stop them.
- 31:01[SPEAKER_01]: We're like, you guys, like, it's probably just the owner you need to relax.
- 31:04[SPEAKER_01]: Like, they were like, you're being dramatic.
- 31:05[SPEAKER_01]: And then someone was like, is there's nobody like heard about the Brian co-worker?
- 31:09[SPEAKER_01]: They're not dramatic.
- 31:10[SPEAKER_01]: You can have no clue that somebody has it out for you.
- 31:13[SPEAKER_01]: You can have no idea that you're a target, you know?
- 31:15[SPEAKER_01]: And so sorry to put that button all of your heads, but if it's in mind, it's in yours, okay?
- 31:19[SPEAKER_01]: All right, I'm going to talk to Marie and talk now, or like, yeah, okay.
- 31:25[SPEAKER_01]: So freaky Friday.
- 31:26[SPEAKER_01]: All right, so you guys, I took a little garden gum with the other night and sat down and watched freaky Friday.
- 31:31[SPEAKER_01]: And I, it was Anthony was out of town.
- 31:34[SPEAKER_01]: And I laughed so fucking hard.
- 31:37[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, I didn't remember it being like a full on comedy.
- 31:42[SPEAKER_01]: And Phoebe and I talked about it a little bit last week.
- 31:44[SPEAKER_01]: Like, they don't make movies for the whole family like they used to.
- 31:47[SPEAKER_01]: And someone made a really good point.
- 31:49[SPEAKER_01]: They were like, I think it's because of streaming.
- 31:51[SPEAKER_01]: Because now it's like, well, the kids can go watch whatever on the kids profile.
- 31:55[SPEAKER_01]: And we can go watch this.
- 31:56[SPEAKER_01]: We don't need the family movie as much.
- 31:58[SPEAKER_01]: And for a while, there we were not going to theater.
- 32:00[SPEAKER_01]: So it was like, we didn't need that family movie the way that we did back then.
- 32:07[SPEAKER_01]: But I say let's bring it back.
- 32:08[SPEAKER_01]: I do think Freaky or Friday is a great step in that direction.
- 32:11[SPEAKER_01]: We'll talk about it more later and we'll talk about it more and more once you've seen it.
- 32:16[SPEAKER_01]: But I thought it was really well done.
- 32:18[SPEAKER_01]: But back to Freaky.
- 32:19[SPEAKER_01]: Let's get to know because I was, you always worry with that kind of thing.
- 32:22[SPEAKER_01]: I know.
- 32:23[SPEAKER_01]: I was like, especially after watching Freaky Friday this weekend being like, holy shit.
- 32:29[SPEAKER_01]: I'm sorry the performance isn't this movie had no business being so good like Jamie Lee Curtis did not have to treat this like it was going to be an Oscar contender, but she did like it was so good and Lindsay Lohan too like the difference between the characters.
- 32:43[SPEAKER_00]: I noticed the way that they write Lindsay Lohan when she's being her mom of like she doesn't use contractions as much.
- 32:50[SPEAKER_00]: She doesn't say Ghana.
- 32:51[SPEAKER_00]: She says going to the way she's she has done very every word.
- 32:55[SPEAKER_01]: her posture is different like I wonder if Jamie Lee and Lindsey work together and I because I'm imagining like I would be like okay so how would you say this line you know say it to me and then I'm gonna figure out how to bring the characters together yeah like I feel like it would have to be a very collaborative process but if you know it's I started taking notes as I was watching it um
- 33:15[SPEAKER_01]: That I don't know what half of the mean because I was just like it was like three in the morning and I was watching it.
- 33:20[SPEAKER_01]: I was cracking up whenever but I want to go through a few points and one of them is Mr. Bates.
- 33:27[SPEAKER_01]: Mr. Bates is a full on villain monster.
- 33:31[SPEAKER_01]: He's not just one of a male mean teacher.
- 33:33[SPEAKER_01]: He's like a predator.
- 33:35[SPEAKER_01]: He's like a fucking evolutive, vulvin-dictive person.
- 33:38[SPEAKER_01]: But there's that great moment right in the beginning.
- 33:40[SPEAKER_01]: Just all these little moments that are so funny where he's walking around.
- 33:44[SPEAKER_01]: He's passing out the paper.
- 33:48[SPEAKER_01]: This is where the whistle goes down as it gives the guy the paper.
- 33:52[SPEAKER_01]: But it is so clear even before they switch, he just has it out for Anna so fucking much and it's really inappropriate.
- 34:00[SPEAKER_00]: Like knowing will be no, I just especially I mean, we see this after they switch, but they pop quiz.
- 34:06[SPEAKER_00]: It's like even though her answer was so annoying, but it's like
- 34:12[SPEAKER_00]: We watch him walk the other guy to the answer and then he immediately fills the other.
- 34:17[SPEAKER_00]: And these are subjective.
- 34:19[SPEAKER_00]: No, they're not.
- 34:19[SPEAKER_01]: No, they're not.
- 34:20[SPEAKER_01]: No, they're not.
- 34:21[SPEAKER_01]: That guy who does his hamlet answer when he's asking like who was hamlet, I heard that that was an improv line.
- 34:27[SPEAKER_01]: They like improvised it and the guy kills it.
- 34:30[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, even these performances where you have one line, like these people nailed it.
- 34:35[SPEAKER_01]: He's like, uh, he's just the guy.
- 34:38[SPEAKER_01]: He's kind of like doesn't know what him's up.
- 34:40[SPEAKER_01]: Uh, popping around, popping around.
- 34:43[SPEAKER_01]: Doesn't know which
- 34:44[SPEAKER_01]: ways up, but it's just like so, so funny.
- 34:48[SPEAKER_01]: Okay, the next thing that that was hilarious, Jamie Lee is first client.
- 34:53[SPEAKER_01]: Evan?
- 34:54[SPEAKER_01]: My god, yes, we're just, you're counting the minutes aren't you?
- 34:58[SPEAKER_01]: He's gonna be sorry, like I was laughing so hard.
- 35:01[SPEAKER_01]: The way up.
- 35:02[SPEAKER_00]: When Anna is being her mom and he comes in and she's like, I want to answer the phone and he goes, oh, so you're a liar.
- 35:11[SPEAKER_00]: You're a liar.
- 35:13[SPEAKER_01]: Like, I mean, every single role in this show, the grandpa, had me actually in the pictures when he comes in and hugs the golf girl.
- 35:23[SPEAKER_00]: I'm honestly shocked so my Blair wasn't sure I know but I remember I love that girl.
- 35:33[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know why she and I love that they're all in the new one too.
- 35:35[SPEAKER_00]: I'm just so glad we finally have
- 35:38[SPEAKER_00]: Take me away on streaming.
- 35:40[SPEAKER_00]: Can you believe we have it?
- 35:42[SPEAKER_00]: It's only been fucking twenty five years.
- 35:43[SPEAKER_00]: And we all know it.
- 35:44[SPEAKER_00]: It's monoculture.
- 35:45[SPEAKER_00]: Everybody knows everywhere.
- 35:46[SPEAKER_00]: We haven't had it on streaming.
- 35:47[SPEAKER_00]: How was it?
- 35:48[SPEAKER_00]: Ultimate.
- 35:48[SPEAKER_00]: The song that's played in the credits.
- 35:50[SPEAKER_00]: The fucking song they got released in the original one.
- 35:52[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, wow.
- 35:53[SPEAKER_00]: The song we hear twice.
- 35:55[SPEAKER_01]: I mean both songs should have been.
- 35:56[SPEAKER_01]: It's just like, yes, but I'm just like,
- 35:58[SPEAKER_01]: It's so good.
- 36:00[SPEAKER_01]: That never happens, especially in the bullying for soup song.
- 36:03[SPEAKER_00]: I know Chad Michael Murray has his people have his problems with him, but like he is so hot in this movie.
- 36:12[SPEAKER_00]: And the chemistry with Jamie Lee Curtis.
- 36:14[SPEAKER_01]: I was like I was like he's a bad boy like he is he is hot and he is like so smooth that it was like
- 36:33[SPEAKER_00]: It was I turned that to be just nice enough that it's like you know where I come but he had that classic like two thousand three it wasn't quite a soul patch but like for some reason guys would just throw out the hair on the on the top of their chin bizarre to me it's honestly bizarre to me
- 36:51[SPEAKER_01]: Another thing that they never talk about, but in detention, they all give the detention proctor gifts when they walk in.
- 36:58[SPEAKER_01]: And it's not a trade.
- 37:00[SPEAKER_01]: They walk in.
- 37:01[SPEAKER_01]: They buy two of whatever detention snack they have and give one of the detention monitor.
- 37:05[SPEAKER_01]: Just these little moments that live.
- 37:07[SPEAKER_00]: at so fucking much.
- 37:09[SPEAKER_00]: I love the scene in the beginning where she and that girl come across each other and they're in the same shirt and they both like scream in the shirt.
- 37:17[SPEAKER_00]: As if it's the most embarrassing.
- 37:19[SPEAKER_01]: I was like, wait, we're acting like this is the most embarrassing thing that could possibly happen to a human being.
- 37:24[SPEAKER_01]: Okay, other thing I wanted to say, the sibling fighting in this.
- 37:31[SPEAKER_01]: So first thing, justice for Anna,
- 37:34[SPEAKER_00]: All right, if your little brother would marry is when he Jamie the Curtis is trying to take the underwear off his head and she like picks she like tries to open his feet come off the car.
- 37:46[SPEAKER_01]: No, and he's always got a little twinkle in his eyes so much cuter than I remember him being
- 37:51[SPEAKER_01]: But I remember like, I mean, Anna is a little bratty, but if I were dealing with Harry, and the way that Jamie Lee just doesn't see it at all, she literally doesn't see it at all, and she just thinks that Anna's being ridiculous.
- 38:04[SPEAKER_01]: And it's like, I'm sorry, I came home from school, and few Phoebe Connell, were jumping on my bed with your friends, and you were wearing all wearing my bras and reading my dirty cousins.
- 38:16[SPEAKER_01]: People who know those are cousins.
- 38:18[SPEAKER_00]: I didn't realize that and that the reason she puts the underwear on her his head is because she walks in and she he's not even doing the worst of it yet when she does that he's like Playing the drumstick on the guitar, but then she comes back up after band practice and she finds them doing that like wearing her bras and reading diary and she like Chase is them out of the room and then we have this amazing like the act the body.
- 38:42[SPEAKER_00]: He's so good where she realizes that the door
- 38:44[SPEAKER_01]: She goes slamming like with full force as though it's there and then it's not and then she tries and then she looks and she's screaming and we hear the scream downstairs.
- 38:54[SPEAKER_01]: We just see Jamie Lee sitting completely still at the table as we hear the blood curdling scream and she runs downstairs.
- 39:01[SPEAKER_01]: Where is my door?
- 39:03[SPEAKER_01]: And it is I don't know Anna and then the call the starkness I thought that scene was like a master class like it is so fucking good and and I have so many good what like I know I was talking about Lindsay low-end performance and this and it's just like
- 39:22[SPEAKER_00]: I, it's crazy that I know that there was obviously space between parent trap in this, but like, yes, having a run from like, ninety six to two to two thousand three of parent trap.
- 39:34[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, freaky Friday mean girls and also conventions of teenage drama queen.
- 39:37[SPEAKER_00]: I don't remember when I came out, but like amazing stuff right there.
- 39:40[SPEAKER_00]: And she's just such a star and I do like no.
- 39:43[SPEAKER_00]: I know we're having a rent as long as for her now, and I'm so happy about that.
- 39:46[SPEAKER_00]: But imagine what her career could have turned into had her young adulthood looked different because I mean, I think people would have just been more ready to take her seriously.
- 39:58[SPEAKER_00]: Yes, she grew up.
- 39:59[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, because having to fight her way back in exactly.
- 40:02[SPEAKER_01]: It's like
- 40:03[SPEAKER_00]: And fighting her way in through a movie like this is tough because people are going to look at it as in the new also you can pound that with the Netflix movies she's doing and like yeah and maybe that's what she loves like that's what she wants to be doing as perfect I just feel like it's interesting to think about where her career could have gone and see the performance that she was delivering at such a young age yeah it is
- 40:26[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, she was sixteen when she did this movie.
- 40:28[SPEAKER_00]: That's crazy.
- 40:29[SPEAKER_01]: It is insane.
- 40:30[SPEAKER_01]: But I do think she's definitely planning on like being back at, I mean, the press tour, the outfits she's been doing, like she has got a team, her look, like she is fully buying into this, the different things she's doing.
- 40:42[SPEAKER_01]: So I do feel like she's back on the scene to stay and I'm really excited about it because I really also enjoyed her in this in the new movie.
- 40:50[SPEAKER_01]: But that scene after like the first big moment where she puts the underwear on Harry's head and they're screaming at each other and then she opens the garage door and goes in and like everyone has heard all this screaming and they're like, is everything okay?
- 41:01[SPEAKER_01]: She's like, I'm fine, let's just play.
- 41:03[SPEAKER_01]: And they start and I was like, that is the most classic shit like I remember like I would be so fucking mad.
- 41:08[SPEAKER_01]: You were I or Lily and I would get in a fight and mom would be like
- 41:12[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, it's like it'd be a thing that I would have friends over.
- 41:14[SPEAKER_01]: And so then I would go downstairs for you, man.
- 41:16[SPEAKER_01]: I would be so fucking mad.
- 41:18[SPEAKER_01]: I just got in a screaming argument.
- 41:19[SPEAKER_01]: My family, all my friends heard it through the basement floor.
- 41:21[SPEAKER_01]: And they're like, should we go?
- 41:22[SPEAKER_01]: And I'm like, no, what?
- 41:23[SPEAKER_01]: Let's play.
- 41:24[SPEAKER_01]: I want to play the game.
- 41:25[SPEAKER_01]: We're playing.
- 41:26[SPEAKER_01]: And it's like, they don't want to hang out with me anymore, because now I'm in a bad mood, but that is exactly how everybody can relate to that.
- 41:32[SPEAKER_01]: No, everything's fine.
- 41:32[SPEAKER_01]: What?
- 41:33[SPEAKER_00]: And I go over the way it's shot when she comes in through the thing we follow her through the beaded curtain.
- 41:37[SPEAKER_00]: She picks up a guitar, she immediately starts playing and then face the faces we see on the rest of the band where they're just like, okay, we're just gonna, we're just gonna play again.
- 41:46[SPEAKER_01]: I did, okay, a few things that I think you and I will be aligned with.
- 41:49[SPEAKER_01]: One is the attitude towards tasks from her friends.
- 41:52[SPEAKER_01]: I'm like, okay, and I can say that.
- 41:55[SPEAKER_01]: You guys, you guys watch your mouth.
- 41:56[SPEAKER_01]: She's allowing you to practice in the garage.
- 41:59[SPEAKER_01]: That's okay.
- 42:00[SPEAKER_00]: I had a similar thought because like we are acting like tests is like so strict.
- 42:07[SPEAKER_00]: Then we see the garage.
- 42:08[SPEAKER_00]: But she lets the garage look like this.
- 42:09[SPEAKER_01]: She lets you practice as loud as music every day.
- 42:12[SPEAKER_01]: She makes you turn it off at a certain point.
- 42:13[SPEAKER_01]: Anna, you had detention.
- 42:15[SPEAKER_00]: And you were like, let's see, let's see, let's see, like, all the decorations you're, you're taking out your entire garage, all the stuff.
- 42:21[SPEAKER_01]: She lets your hair look like that.
- 42:23[SPEAKER_01]: Your hair looks bad, girl.
- 42:25[SPEAKER_01]: But I do also like, they did, like, watching this older now, like, they didn't need a freaky Friday because
- 42:31[SPEAKER_01]: To the truth, this test had no idea.
- 42:33[SPEAKER_01]: Like, and her getting to see how Harry acts.
- 42:36[SPEAKER_01]: I was like vindication for the older siblings of the world.
- 42:40[SPEAKER_00]: Like, Jamie, you know, acting with Harry when she's being asked.
- 42:44[SPEAKER_01]: But she turns around and takes her tongue out at him over the, I mean, so he's like, what the fuck?
- 42:50[SPEAKER_00]: And it's so good.
- 42:51[SPEAKER_00]: And then the scene when we find out that he, and this is such like, sibling of the paper, the paper, and he goes, don't tell Anna.
- 42:59[SPEAKER_00]: And she's like, why wouldn't you want Anna to see this?
- 43:01[SPEAKER_00]: And he's like, because we have too much fun fighting.
- 43:03[SPEAKER_00]: And it's like, I know.
- 43:05[SPEAKER_00]: Yes, sometimes I think parents need to like,
- 43:08[SPEAKER_00]: There's always a thing where it's like, when you're laughing and having fun, your parents here are just fighting, and they're like, stop, and it's like, no, we're, yes, it's just fun for us.
- 43:16[SPEAKER_00]: Right.
- 43:16[SPEAKER_00]: We're just having fun.
- 43:18[SPEAKER_00]: But another note that I had about the movie that I thought was interesting was, okay, two things.
- 43:24[SPEAKER_00]: One, the concept of even broaching the subject of missing your mom's birthday.
- 43:31[SPEAKER_01]: You know, this is something I really, we really need to get into.
- 43:34[SPEAKER_00]: It's crazy.
- 43:35[SPEAKER_00]: Additionally,
- 43:37[SPEAKER_00]: That Friday, and I wouldn't be going to school.
- 43:42[SPEAKER_00]: I addressed Tess wouldn't be having that interview.
- 43:43[SPEAKER_00]: I know that it was necessary for the party.
- 43:45[SPEAKER_01]: I would not be happening on the day before.
- 43:47[SPEAKER_00]: I do.
- 43:47[SPEAKER_00]: I do.
- 43:47[SPEAKER_00]: I do.
- 43:47[SPEAKER_00]: I do.
- 43:48[SPEAKER_00]: I do.
- 43:48[SPEAKER_00]: I do.
- 43:48[SPEAKER_00]: I do.
- 43:48[SPEAKER_00]: I do.
- 43:48[SPEAKER_00]: I do.
- 43:48[SPEAKER_00]: I do.
- 43:48[SPEAKER_00]: I do.
- 43:48[SPEAKER_00]: I do.
- 43:49[SPEAKER_00]: I do.
- 43:49[SPEAKER_00]: I do.
- 43:49[SPEAKER_00]: I do.
- 43:49[SPEAKER_00]: I do.
- 43:49[SPEAKER_00]: I do.
- 43:49[SPEAKER_00]: I do.
- 43:49[SPEAKER_00]: I do.
- 43:50[SPEAKER_00]: I do.
- 43:50[SPEAKER_00]: I do.
- 43:50[SPEAKER_00]: I do.
- 43:50[SPEAKER_00]: I do.
- 43:50[SPEAKER_00]: I do.
- 43:50[SPEAKER_00]: I do.
- 43:50[SPEAKER_00]: I do.
- 43:50[SPEAKER_00]: I do.
- 43:51[SPEAKER_00]: I do.
- 43:51[SPEAKER_00]: I do.
- 43:51[SPEAKER_00]: I do.
- 43:51[SPEAKER_00]: I do.
- 43:51[SPEAKER_00]: I do.
- 43:51[SPEAKER_01]: I do.
- 43:52[SPEAKER_01]: I do.
- 43:52[SPEAKER_01]: I do.
- 43:52[SPEAKER_01]: I do.
- 43:52[SPEAKER_01]: I do.
- 43:52[SPEAKER_01]: I do.
- 43:52[SPEAKER_01]: I do.
- 43:52[SPEAKER_01]: I do.
- 43:53[SPEAKER_01]: I do.
- 43:53[SPEAKER_01]: I do.
- 43:53[SPEAKER_01]: I do.
- 43:53[SPEAKER_01]: I do.
- 43:53[SPEAKER_01]: I do.
- 43:54[SPEAKER_01]: I do.
- 43:54[SPEAKER_01]: I do.
- 43:55[SPEAKER_01]: I do.
- 43:55[SPEAKER_01]: I do.
- 43:55[SPEAKER_01]: I do.
- 43:55[SPEAKER_01]: I do.
- 43:55[SPEAKER_01]: I do.
- 43:56[SPEAKER_01]: I do.
- 43:56[SPEAKER_01]: I do.
- 43:56[SPEAKER_01]: I do.
- 43:56[SPEAKER_01]: I do.
- 43:57[SPEAKER_01]: I do.
- 43:57[SPEAKER_01]: I do.
- 43:57[SPEAKER_01]: I do.
- 43:57[SPEAKER_01]: I do.
- 43:57[SPEAKER_01]: I
- 44:07[SPEAKER_01]: And that's part of the problem.
- 44:09[SPEAKER_01]: That's part of why she's so disconnected even though she's this therapist and she seems like she should be so tuned into everything.
- 44:16[SPEAKER_01]: It's like she's actually missing a lot and she sort of needed this change in perspective to see that as well.
- 44:22[SPEAKER_01]: But I wanted to know what you thought about like, are you asking mom?
- 44:26[SPEAKER_01]: Here's the thing though.
- 44:28[SPEAKER_01]: I am going to play Devil's Advocate for a second because I'm like, okay, let's just put ourselves in Anna's shoes for a second.
- 44:34[SPEAKER_01]: This is her mom's second marriage, and Anna is still not over her father dying.
- 44:39[SPEAKER_01]: And we especially see that because in the car, which is, I think it's so fucking funny, Jay at Tessa's talking to Ryan and he's like, is that something about are you, are you getting nervous about the wedding or are you thinking about so-and-so?
- 44:52[SPEAKER_01]: And she goes, oh, oh, no, I'm gonna just, how quickly I've been able to get over it.
- 44:56[SPEAKER_01]: Like, she doesn't think about, oh, you mean because her husband died and how quickly I've been able to go over it.
- 45:01[SPEAKER_01]: And I thought it was so funny the line reading, but I'm also like, yeah, that's how Anna feels like that is Anna letting us all know that she's still mourning her father and she doesn't like that her mom is moving on and maybe tests a therapist like you should have thought about a little bit more about your children.
- 45:17[SPEAKER_01]: I go to your kids therapy.
- 45:18[SPEAKER_01]: They lost her father.
- 45:19[SPEAKER_01]: Like you should have thought about how they're coping, not how you're moving on and they're still stuck in this past.
- 45:24[SPEAKER_01]: They're not getting the emotional support and love from Ryan that you are.
- 45:27[SPEAKER_01]: You know, he's trying but it's not the same.
- 45:29[SPEAKER_01]: So you're able to compartmentalize and move on maybe a little bit easier than these kids are because they don't have the thing the placeholder and so all the resistance so there's that it's not like it's her first marriage ever you know it's her second marriage they don't like the guy and this is a huge opportunity for this band
- 45:46[SPEAKER_01]: and we have every reason to believe that test is supportive of the band up until this point because they are rehearsing in the garage and they are doing these things.
- 45:54[SPEAKER_01]: So I was low-key like I honestly could see mom being like you have to be there for the run-through but then if you need to go play you can come back.
- 46:03[SPEAKER_01]: I could be.
- 46:05[SPEAKER_01]: And so in that way I did feel like
- 46:09[SPEAKER_01]: I was like, I can understand how she thought that her mom might say us.
- 46:12[SPEAKER_01]: I can understand her asking her mom.
- 46:14[SPEAKER_01]: I know it's crazy to be like, I'm gonna, what I thought was more crazy is that her friends were like, you can miss.
- 46:20[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I think Anna can have a moment of I might be able to put her friends and be like, oh my god, no, you can't miss it.
- 46:25[SPEAKER_01]: We've got to find something else out, right?
- 46:27[SPEAKER_00]: Exactly.
- 46:27[SPEAKER_00]: I agree.
- 46:28[SPEAKER_00]: They were doing a little too much.
- 46:30[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 46:30[SPEAKER_00]: And then my favorite moments of the movie was when Ryan has that conversation with Tess, but it's Anna.
- 46:36[SPEAKER_00]: And he like is able to shed all that light.
- 46:40[SPEAKER_00]: to Anna of what she's not understanding as the teen kid.
- 46:44[SPEAKER_00]: She doesn't get to see the side of Ryan and how the conversations book between him and us.
- 46:50[SPEAKER_01]: And to see that she's a little boy, you know, who love and does love a sister.
- 46:55[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, no, no, I'm saying Ryan the husband.
- 46:57[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, sorry.
- 46:58[SPEAKER_01]: I was saying Harry.
- 46:58[SPEAKER_01]: I'm sorry.
- 46:59[SPEAKER_00]: No, the conversation the end where she's like, oh, like he's actually a really good guy.
- 47:04[SPEAKER_00]: And he cares about my mom so much.
- 47:05[SPEAKER_00]: And he's just let me do this really cool thing.
- 47:07[SPEAKER_00]: And then he encourages my mom to go.
- 47:10[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 47:11[SPEAKER_00]: And he says, I know that's where you want to be.
- 47:13[SPEAKER_00]: So that's
- 47:14[SPEAKER_01]: Right.
- 47:15[SPEAKER_01]: And I remember watching that as a kid and being like, he's so mad at her.
- 47:18[SPEAKER_01]: He's being me.
- 47:19[SPEAKER_01]: I know it's where he want to be.
- 47:21[SPEAKER_01]: Like it felt like he was being me.
- 47:23[SPEAKER_01]: But now as an adult, like it really is exactly what the fortune cookie says where it's like selfless love will bring you back.
- 47:29[SPEAKER_01]: That's what this whole thing is about.
- 47:30[SPEAKER_01]: And like what Ryan showed is that he has that self and that's how you know you're in love when you put somebody else's happiness and needs before your own.
- 47:38[SPEAKER_01]: Like he
- 47:40[SPEAKER_01]: he saw that in that moment and he knows he's going to be second to these kids and he you know was okay with that and like and it's almost like he and I needed to hear that he knows that yeah okay with it and then he's encouraging it and that they're never going to be second place and she needed to want that for her mom she needed to see what a great guy Ryan was and think okay I want my mom to have this more than I want my
- 48:04[SPEAKER_01]: Maybe not more than I want my dad but more than I want her to not be with anybody you know like more than I want her to be unhappy with me I want her to have this like she deserves to have it so it's just like gorgeous gorgeous moment there was my just one thing about visually the movie and thinking about that and obviously my soul excited to see the new movie but I've noticed this in newer movies.
- 48:24[SPEAKER_00]: I think this could be part of the problem movies and I know that it's like film like it's like the difference to film in digital
- 48:30[SPEAKER_00]: but like there's just a warmth yes to the way the movie looks and I like that it's not super clear I like that it's not like
- 48:40[SPEAKER_00]: I'm seeing it with my own eyeballs.
- 48:41[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, like that I'm watching a movie, whereas then like the trailer for the new one, it's like this looks not that it was shot on an iPhone in a bad way.
- 48:48[SPEAKER_00]: I just feel like it's so clear.
- 48:50[SPEAKER_01]: Yes.
- 48:51[SPEAKER_00]: And it kind of for me, like it's too polished.
- 48:55[SPEAKER_01]: It makes it feel a little bit too like, yeah, like shiny.
- 48:58[SPEAKER_01]: To me, weirdly, it kind of cheapens it.
- 49:01[SPEAKER_01]: I know what you mean.
- 49:01[SPEAKER_01]: I know exactly what you mean.
- 49:05[SPEAKER_01]: I didn't, it didn't bother me that much when I was watching it.
- 49:07[SPEAKER_00]: I didn't really, I mean, generally, totally.
- 49:10[SPEAKER_01]: I totally agree.
- 49:12[SPEAKER_01]: They did a really good job of walking the line between making this modern and putting in those references and all those things and not, and they poke fun at it, which I really liked.
- 49:22[SPEAKER_01]: Like they have some jokes about, I don't remember all the jokes.
- 49:28[SPEAKER_01]: But they have some like really goofy jokes playing into how
- 49:31[SPEAKER_01]: politically correct.
- 49:33[SPEAKER_01]: We all are and like how Gen Z is in that way where they're poking fun at it in a way that they can't really move.
- 49:39[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, like because that's like it's not moment.
- 49:42[SPEAKER_00]: I'm both like hacks because she thinks it's funny when Jean Smart is like, oh, you can't say that and you can't do this.
- 49:49[SPEAKER_00]: You can.
- 49:49[SPEAKER_00]: Right.
- 49:49[SPEAKER_00]: Right.
- 49:49[SPEAKER_00]: Right.
- 49:50[SPEAKER_01]: She in a hundred percent.
- 49:52[SPEAKER_01]: And so it does a really nice job of that.
- 49:54[SPEAKER_01]: It's
- 49:55[SPEAKER_01]: I think it's really strong.
- 49:57[SPEAKER_01]: Jamie Lee, another thing I just, I have is respect now in the newer movie for the way that Jamie Lee commits.
- 50:03[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, because I don't want to ruin it for you, but the gusto, the Jamie Lee Curtis Award for best gusto.
- 50:11[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, yes.
- 50:13[SPEAKER_01]: And that's a great segue because we'll move right into this.
- 50:15[SPEAKER_01]: But I was laughing so hard at Jamie Lee Curtis in this movie.
- 50:19[SPEAKER_01]: Like she is really, really funny.
- 50:22[SPEAKER_01]: We all really enjoyed it.
- 50:23[SPEAKER_01]: There's a blooper reel at the end.
- 50:25[SPEAKER_01]: Like you remember when we used to get fucking bloopers at the ends of movies and they're great bloopers.
- 50:30[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know if there is one at all much fun together.
- 50:35[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know if there is one at the end of Ramona and Beezus, but it makes me think of that movie, Blupper Reels.
- 50:39[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, like I just feel like a lot of those movies to have it, and that was such a good movie.
- 50:45[SPEAKER_00]: That was peak Selena Gomez.
- 50:47[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, it for sure.
- 50:48[SPEAKER_00]: And OG Joey King.
- 50:51[SPEAKER_00]: As OG as it gets Joey King.
- 50:52[SPEAKER_00]: Wait, Caroline and I kind of Ramona and Beezus coded.
- 50:55[SPEAKER_01]: We very much are a monon and Beezus coded, except for I think Beezus is like not that nice in the movie though.
- 51:00[SPEAKER_01]: She's the younger one.
- 51:01[SPEAKER_01]: No, these is the older one, because it's Beatrice, but Ramona can't say it, so she calls her beats.
- 51:05[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, right, right, right.
- 51:06[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 51:08[SPEAKER_01]: Anyway, let's talk about, so we just, I really needed to like have a conversation about Freaky Friday.
- 51:13[SPEAKER_01]: The scoring is so good.
- 51:14[SPEAKER_01]: The way they set up the scenes, it's so creative.
- 51:18[SPEAKER_01]: There's one where it is just, we see like the chin down and it's Ryan and the grandpa, they're both drinking coffee.
- 51:25[SPEAKER_01]: And all we hear is,
- 51:27[SPEAKER_01]: We hear screaming upstairs and they just sit there coffee and they're like really good, rather we're helping and they just like don't acknowledge the scream and then we go up and it's the moment she's like I'm like the crept keeper it's that moment, but it's like the introduction to that is so good like they have so much amazing framing and character work and
- 51:47[SPEAKER_01]: It's just really like a top-notch film.
- 51:49[SPEAKER_01]: I fucking loved it.
- 51:50[SPEAKER_01]: I can't wait till you see Freak Gear Friday so we can talk about it.
- 51:53[SPEAKER_01]: But I saw it.
- 51:54[SPEAKER_01]: I loved it a couple things I want to note we went to PF Changs.
- 51:57[SPEAKER_01]: I had a time and we got the Freak Gear Friday cocktails.
- 51:59[SPEAKER_01]: They were good.
- 52:00[SPEAKER_01]: I was like hilarious and we're having a Freak Gear Friday collab at PF Changs.
- 52:04[SPEAKER_00]: It's so funny that in like I'm like was that just that.
- 52:07[SPEAKER_00]: PF Changs is basically the right thing.
- 52:09[SPEAKER_00]: No movie theater.
- 52:09[SPEAKER_00]: That thing looked branded as fuck.
- 52:12[SPEAKER_01]: I feel like PF Changs are usually around it because there's one kind of close-room movie theater in Charleston.
- 52:17[SPEAKER_01]: I feel like that usually ends up close to a movie theater sometimes.
- 52:23[SPEAKER_01]: It's like one of those red, like Fridays could end up close to a movie theater.
- 52:27[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know.
- 52:28[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know.
- 52:29[SPEAKER_01]: Okay, the other thing is that cinema had no freaky Friday swag to something.
- 52:34[SPEAKER_01]: They had all kinds of other popcorn buckets for different movies.
- 52:37[SPEAKER_01]: Nothing for freaky Friday night asked.
- 52:38[SPEAKER_01]: I was like, have you just not gotten it yet?
- 52:40[SPEAKER_01]: Like, are you gonna get some?
- 52:41[SPEAKER_00]: Interesting.
- 52:42[SPEAKER_01]: No, we would already have it.
- 52:44[SPEAKER_00]: AMC, well, I didn't see it when I went.
- 52:47[SPEAKER_00]: I were not doing the Thursday.
- 52:49[SPEAKER_01]: But then who is the theater that's doing it?
- 52:50[SPEAKER_00]: I'll tell you.
- 52:51[SPEAKER_01]: It's called like Marcus theaters or something and there is exactly one in Pittsburgh and it's century three.
- 52:59[SPEAKER_01]: I'm like I'm not going out there to get this but like why is this random theater that like is coming there instead of like an AMC or a cinema?
- 53:08[SPEAKER_00]: Caroline takes it in the film and our group chat with mom, our pod chat and was called Connell Mamager and co talking about the movie and she goes um
- 53:21[SPEAKER_00]: I got tired of the seat or so you said something about getting tired of the seat so I had to go I missed part of the movie and I forgot Caroline had kidney stones so when my grandma was like oh my god she's addicted to debox
- 53:36[SPEAKER_01]: No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no,
- 53:56[SPEAKER_01]: It gets like stuck.
- 53:58[SPEAKER_01]: And so nothing can get out of your kidney.
- 54:01[SPEAKER_01]: So your kidney gets so swollen.
- 54:04[SPEAKER_01]: That's not a prize.
- 54:06[SPEAKER_00]: That's crazy.
- 54:06[SPEAKER_01]: I don't think they're always so jogging and like, well, but doesn't that make more sense when you think about how painful it is for people?
- 54:12[SPEAKER_01]: Like, yeah, it's not the actual stone.
- 54:15[SPEAKER_01]: Like, it's uncomfortable the stone.
- 54:17[SPEAKER_01]: But like, what's actually hurting you is that your kidney is pressing against everything else and so swollen.
- 54:23[SPEAKER_01]: So
- 54:25[SPEAKER_01]: I, yeah, I was like, oh, that makes so much more sense with like how this feels because I was like, this rock is doing all, like, this is crazy.
- 54:32[SPEAKER_01]: Um, so anyway, all right, let's have a glass culturey.
- 54:34[SPEAKER_01]: This rock for tomorrow.
- 54:36[SPEAKER_01]: Rock, well, true, true.
- 54:38[SPEAKER_01]: Thank you.
- 54:39[SPEAKER_01]: Thanks for reminding me of that.
- 54:41[SPEAKER_01]: Um, okay.
- 54:42[SPEAKER_01]: LCC guys, what's good into it.
- 54:45[SPEAKER_01]: Oh.
- 54:45[SPEAKER_01]: What an amazing night of television.
- 54:47[SPEAKER_01]: A theater, if you will.
- 54:48[SPEAKER_01]: I loved it so much.
- 54:50[SPEAKER_01]: I know.
- 54:51[SPEAKER_01]: I had a, I was filled with glee.
- 54:54[SPEAKER_01]: No, seriously.
- 54:55[SPEAKER_01]: It was so special.
- 54:56[SPEAKER_01]: It was just special.
- 54:57[SPEAKER_01]: Like, also to think of people at home who don't listen to last culture rest us, who took our mom except our mom, who, quote, didn't get it.
- 55:05[SPEAKER_01]: And I wasn't gonna say that on here because I don't want like an angry mob to come to our house.
- 55:09[SPEAKER_01]: But like, yeah, she said she didn't.
- 55:10[SPEAKER_01]: But we're the mob.
- 55:12[SPEAKER_01]: But let's talk about Kelly who watched it with me, and she sees all the celebrities as they're showing who's there.
- 55:19[SPEAKER_01]: And she was like, this is the most random group of people, but also the most ideal perfect.
- 55:25[SPEAKER_01]: I was like, yeah, this is like, if you threw me a surprise party, and I got to make the guest list, none of you would be on there.
- 55:29[SPEAKER_01]: It would be all these people.
- 55:31[SPEAKER_01]: That's what the guest list is.
- 55:33[SPEAKER_01]: And then they're making jokes during the categories.
- 55:36[SPEAKER_01]: And Kelly is laughing out loud over and over and I was like, oh my god, okay.
- 55:40[SPEAKER_01]: because I was a little worried that like she might not get it.
- 55:43[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I was I worry about the same thing with people with anything really lost called related because it is such a inside joke kind of thing.
- 55:52[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, or like really it's not like the awards or inside jokes some of them are but like the concept of the kinds of categories.
- 55:59[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I did wish because I think a lot of people didn't
- 56:05[SPEAKER_01]: Like, we're watching this because it was promoted on Bravo, or it was just after the Valley reunion or whatever reason.
- 56:11[SPEAKER_01]: So they maybe weren't exactly sure what they were.
- 56:12[SPEAKER_01]: And I do wish they had, there were some of the categories they had given a little bit, like, especially the ones that were just quick audience moments.
- 56:22[SPEAKER_01]: So in the girl did the never a were like, favorite word to whisper, favorite word to yell both were never.
- 56:27[SPEAKER_01]: But I was like read the other ones because it's like really funny.
- 56:31[SPEAKER_00]: I wish two things.
- 56:32[SPEAKER_00]: One in the monologue, there should have been a bit more lower to what they were to explain it to the Brava audience.
- 56:38[SPEAKER_00]: I wanted to do the real title Katie's thing to kind of rope the viewer's post-falli union viewers and get them to stay and understand.
- 56:47[SPEAKER_00]: Right.
- 56:47[SPEAKER_00]: Right.
- 56:48[SPEAKER_00]: Right.
- 56:48[SPEAKER_00]: Right.
- 56:48[SPEAKER_00]: To the bit with them.
- 56:49[SPEAKER_00]: Mom might have liked it more if she understood why.
- 56:52[SPEAKER_00]: Right.
- 56:53[SPEAKER_00]: There were these weird words.
- 56:54[SPEAKER_00]: Right.
- 56:56[SPEAKER_00]: I also think obviously it was great to get the more people focused awards there so they could have people like accept the award that was fun but I do think they should have included I think that's what you're saying like other outlandish awards people are like oh yeah there are so many categories and they're like kind of weird
- 57:16[SPEAKER_00]: and fun.
- 57:17[SPEAKER_01]: And it would have been cool if they're like maybe in between commercials.
- 57:20[SPEAKER_01]: They could put something on the screen.
- 57:21[SPEAKER_01]: That was like for a list of the full nominees like Scan this QR code and here's a sheet with everything.
- 57:27[SPEAKER_01]: You know, or maybe next year, next year if they do it again, I'm sure they will.
- 57:30[SPEAKER_01]: They should do balance.
- 57:31[SPEAKER_01]: They should have balance out there.
- 57:33[SPEAKER_01]: So the people can see it ahead of time and sort of like know what they're what they're looking.
- 57:38[SPEAKER_01]: You know, like that might be something neat to try with it.
- 57:41[SPEAKER_01]: I also think another thing I could be cool is if you had for some of these smaller words that are just going to get the like little little bit of treatment, maybe you have a publicist, a reader, a Kyle, a Katie, introduce those and at that time, you're like, oh, to introduce who this person is, we're going to tell you what a process is.
- 57:58[SPEAKER_01]: We're going to tell you what an
- 57:59[SPEAKER_01]: You know, like that could have been a neat way to also like nod to the podcast.
- 58:05[SPEAKER_01]: Now listen, none of these are complaints.
- 58:07[SPEAKER_01]: These are just things that I think like because I want everybody to love it.
- 58:10[SPEAKER_01]: Why don't a time love it?
- 58:11[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 58:12[SPEAKER_01]: So I just, that's just some things I was thinking, um, what were some highlights for you from the night?
- 58:17[SPEAKER_00]: I liked that they had people like Kristen wig and on a gas fire doing care like they were in costume and the audience come up and accept the award.
- 58:30[SPEAKER_00]: I thought that was so fun.
- 58:31[SPEAKER_01]: Did you hear about Kristen wig said about what during the dress rehearsal?
- 58:35[SPEAKER_01]: No.
- 58:36[SPEAKER_01]: So she gets up there to do her dress rehearsal, and she sees like they have the headshots of everybody on the chairs on the seats.
- 58:43[SPEAKER_01]: And so she looks out in the audience as she's doing her bit, and she sees Maryam Cosby's like picture.
- 58:48[SPEAKER_01]: And she goes, what?
- 58:50[SPEAKER_01]: She's like, I don't know if I can do this anymore.
- 58:52[SPEAKER_01]: And they're like, what?
- 58:53[SPEAKER_01]: And she's like, I'm nervous.
- 58:55[SPEAKER_01]: Like, a Maryam cut.
- 58:56[SPEAKER_01]: She's like, yeah.
- 58:58[SPEAKER_01]: And you know what?
- 58:59[SPEAKER_01]: She'd be the one making me the most nervous too, because you know, she doesn't fucking get it.
- 59:02[SPEAKER_01]: Even though I'm sorry, the Salt Lake City moment, with Mary having a Mary, her comedic timing.
- 59:07[SPEAKER_01]: I thought it was great.
- 59:08[SPEAKER_01]: She waited for the laughter finish before she stepped in with her.
- 59:11[SPEAKER_01]: I really thought that was awesome.
- 59:13[SPEAKER_01]: And that took time and organization you know it did.
- 59:16[SPEAKER_00]: She and I love that we got her little sneak peek of Salt Lake, where it is begging to be able to resuscitate a fish that she has fished.
- 59:29[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, this season gonna be gold.
- 59:31[SPEAKER_01]: We don't expect anything less, but I just, and I do, Lisa Rennel, like, that was, I just love the Lisa Rennel moments where some of my, every time she came out, I couldn't believe it.
- 59:41[SPEAKER_00]: I could have believed it.
- 59:42[SPEAKER_01]: I was like, I can't believe she's doing this.
- 59:44[SPEAKER_00]: They had her, if you mentioned it.
- 59:47[SPEAKER_01]: Yes, they had her do, um, it was like most influential outfit or something like that.
- 59:53[SPEAKER_01]: It wasn't like best outfit.
- 59:54[SPEAKER_01]: It was just like most important outfit.
- 59:56[SPEAKER_01]: So the first one was Demi Moore in the substance and her yellow rain jacket.
- 1:00:00[SPEAKER_01]: And Lisa Renna comes out, she's giving Coraline when she comes out with the glasses and the long hair.
- 1:00:06[SPEAKER_01]: But she's acting like her.
- 1:00:07[SPEAKER_01]: The next one is like a Timothy Shaulame out for the next game.
- 1:00:10[SPEAKER_01]: And she's like doing the Chloe five in the queue.
- 1:00:13[SPEAKER_01]: I was like, okay, comedian.
- 1:00:15[SPEAKER_00]: Okay, and then we had two ends in the in the in the Pedro Pascal alpha and she's posing like him and then like full she's a mustache on like fully going for it and the last one was probably her favorite because I'm sure she was like making front of her daughters, but it was a hundred percent when a pretty girl goes to Starbucks and just a sweatpants in a tank top
- 1:00:35[SPEAKER_01]: I thought it was so funny that they got her to do that.
- 1:00:39[SPEAKER_01]: And I just love how everybody was so caught into it.
- 1:00:43[SPEAKER_01]: Like that's what it need.
- 1:00:44[SPEAKER_01]: And that if you're any young theater people listening to this or you teach young theater people, this is like a perfect example of why it matters.
- 1:00:51[SPEAKER_01]: Like the second that you are not completely bought into what you're doing.
- 1:00:55[SPEAKER_00]: It's like what I was in Williamson.
- 1:00:56[SPEAKER_01]: It doesn't.
- 1:00:57[SPEAKER_01]: Yes, you can't wink at the camera.
- 1:00:59[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, you can't have a moment of, oh my god, I know I look stupid.
- 1:01:03[SPEAKER_01]: You have to go so far and even if you feel stupid doing it, you're probably doing it right.
- 1:01:08[SPEAKER_01]: You need to feel stupid.
- 1:01:09[SPEAKER_01]: You need to be doing it so intensely that gets why people say acting is embarrassing because they're like, oh my god, you both had to just agree to like fully go for this.
- 1:01:18[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, and it and it's like but when you really commit look how fucking good it is people are laughing with you if you commit if you don't commit they are laughing laughing on you and I just thought which is why Meg solter works because and she made me when she got out there and she goes guys I am lost my phone and I'm serious.
- 1:01:39[SPEAKER_00]: I'm like sick to my stomach
- 1:01:40[SPEAKER_00]: And then she made like the way she's able to make her voice sound.
- 1:01:44[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, so it feels real and then she's like, yeah, Benny drama.
- 1:01:48[SPEAKER_00]: Maybe a little less drama.
- 1:01:49[SPEAKER_00]: Maybe more looking for my phone.
- 1:01:53[SPEAKER_00]: We were talking earlier.
- 1:01:54[SPEAKER_00]: We were, we were hanging out earlier.
- 1:01:57[SPEAKER_01]: I loved watching the audience reactions too, like they were having so much fun.
- 1:02:01[SPEAKER_01]: The one part where they said stand up if you have a podcast and they had every single person in the room stand up and they said we are the problem was like, yeah, um, loved page turbo winning the Alice and William's cool girl award.
- 1:02:12[SPEAKER_01]: I thought that when she goes every girl is a cool girl and then she just describes all the iterations of herself.
- 1:02:17[SPEAKER_01]: She goes if you have a long brown hair, if you are a brunette, if you are on summer house or if you are on winter house, this goes out to all the cool girls who
- 1:02:26[SPEAKER_01]: Army.
- 1:02:27[SPEAKER_01]: It was in and later on they're like, okay, and go and introduce us the word.
- 1:02:30[SPEAKER_01]: His pages are up.
- 1:02:31[SPEAKER_01]: No, okay.
- 1:02:32[SPEAKER_01]: She left immediately after the cool word already.
- 1:02:33[SPEAKER_01]: Yep.
- 1:02:34[SPEAKER_01]: Yep.
- 1:02:34[SPEAKER_00]: It's like, and for me, my performance of the night was Pat Regan.
- 1:02:39[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, when he walked out there and he is like, um, I'm gonna do this, but I just want to say.
- 1:02:47[SPEAKER_00]: He like, he, I know my experience between gay guy.
- 1:02:50[SPEAKER_00]: He goes, when I walk into a room, I, I am sure to leave the gate open for the next in between gay guy behind me.
- 1:02:56[SPEAKER_00]: And he goes, and now to introduce the actual presenter.
- 1:02:59[SPEAKER_01]: I just, I thought it was so fun.
- 1:03:05[SPEAKER_01]: And I also love when Pat gets an opportunity to be in front of the camera.
- 1:03:09[SPEAKER_01]: You know what I mean?
- 1:03:09[SPEAKER_01]: You know, like, so people, I would say when I tell you who this is.
- 1:03:13[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, where was Pat?
- 1:03:16[SPEAKER_01]: One thing I also forgot about, or I don't know if I knew about it at all, but Phoebe and I are on the case, is that Madden Bowen didn't speak for six months, and they were still doing the podcast.
- 1:03:24[SPEAKER_01]: Imagine us.
- 1:03:26[SPEAKER_01]: I don't think it's possible.
- 1:03:28[SPEAKER_01]: How did they do that?
- 1:03:29[SPEAKER_01]: Bowen said, apparently it was when they went on Michelle Obama's podcast, they talked a little bit about it, but they mentioned there was also an incident where Bowen screamed at Matt from his wicked trailer.
- 1:03:40[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 1:03:41[SPEAKER_01]: I don't like this.
- 1:03:41[SPEAKER_01]: And people are saying that the six months, a lot of people thought it was when, because I found out some more information out their SNL auditions.
- 1:03:49[SPEAKER_01]: So they both went in, they both auditioned, and they both got holding deals.
- 1:03:55[SPEAKER_01]: So they were both like, they weren't allowed to accept any other TV contracts.
- 1:03:59[SPEAKER_01]: They both got deals from NBC.
- 1:04:01[SPEAKER_01]: and then Bowen is the only one who got it.
- 1:04:03[SPEAKER_01]: And I believe that people are saying it's either, they think that is when they weren't speaking.
- 1:04:11[SPEAKER_01]: And Bowen said it's the only time he felt he had to perform his friendship with Matt.
- 1:04:15[UNKNOWN]: I know.
- 1:04:17[SPEAKER_01]: Which I don't like.
- 1:04:18[SPEAKER_01]: I don't like it, but I'm also like...
- 1:04:21[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know.
- 1:04:21[SPEAKER_01]: It's so hard.
- 1:04:22[SPEAKER_01]: I need to find more information about it.
- 1:04:24[SPEAKER_01]: I think they're talking about it more, so maybe we'll get more information about it.
- 1:04:27[SPEAKER_01]: But think God, they worked it out because... Dude, yeah.
- 1:04:30[SPEAKER_01]: Can you imagine if we didn't have them if we didn't have them?
- 1:04:32[SPEAKER_00]: But I don't know.
- 1:04:33[SPEAKER_00]: I don't like the idea that he yelled at it because that's just like... It makes me sad.
- 1:04:36[SPEAKER_00]: I mean stuff.
- 1:04:37[SPEAKER_00]: It's like... I know.
- 1:04:37[SPEAKER_01]: I know.
- 1:04:38[SPEAKER_01]: What we've been worried about all along.
- 1:04:40[SPEAKER_01]: I know.
- 1:04:40[SPEAKER_01]: But we don't know the context we don't know what happened.
- 1:04:42[SPEAKER_01]: So I don't want to go there.
- 1:04:45[SPEAKER_01]: All right.
- 1:04:45[SPEAKER_01]: Anything else to say about the LCCAs?
- 1:04:48[SPEAKER_00]: from those stream diet Pepsi by Ben Black.
- 1:04:51[SPEAKER_00]: I'm also like so good.
- 1:04:54[SPEAKER_00]: So good.
- 1:04:55[SPEAKER_00]: Why?
- 1:04:55[SPEAKER_00]: I believe in some twice.
- 1:04:57[SPEAKER_00]: I wish that we had, um, I don't know, some, and more, I wanted.
- 1:05:02[SPEAKER_00]: I need to tell all from Noah Benner Molly.
- 1:05:06[SPEAKER_00]: I just need that.
- 1:05:09[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 1:05:09[SPEAKER_00]: I need to know what happened.
- 1:05:11[SPEAKER_00]: I know, I know.
- 1:05:12[SPEAKER_00]: And I don't.
- 1:05:13[SPEAKER_00]: I call it parasocial.
- 1:05:15[SPEAKER_00]: I can't see Ben plot Noah Galvin without thinking about it.
- 1:05:18[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 1:05:19[SPEAKER_00]: Or really Molly Gordon.
- 1:05:20[SPEAKER_01]: I can't go to the Gordon without thinking about it.
- 1:05:23[SPEAKER_00]: Um, I am going to probably watch theater camp this tonight as well.
- 1:05:28[SPEAKER_01]: All right.
- 1:05:29[SPEAKER_01]: So if you're on TikTok, I know you've freaking seen it.
- 1:05:32[SPEAKER_01]: We've got this girl Kendra who fell in love with her psychiatrist and she is posted.
- 1:05:37[SPEAKER_01]: I think we're up to like, sixty something parts of this.
- 1:05:40[SPEAKER_00]: I haven't even, um,
- 1:05:43[SPEAKER_00]: I've been watching any of her videos.
- 1:05:46[SPEAKER_00]: I've only been, I only know the stories through the words of others.
- 1:05:51[SPEAKER_01]: Okay.
- 1:05:52[SPEAKER_01]: Well, that's how you're about to hear from me too, but I did watch all every single one of her videos last night because I was watching it from other people and I was just like, it just wasn't hitting for me.
- 1:06:01[SPEAKER_01]: Like I was like, okay, it's crazy, but like I just like don't care that much.
- 1:06:04[SPEAKER_00]: It's crazy in her eyes.
- 1:06:06[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, when I was like, I finally was like, you know what, I'm just gonna fucking watch like one of her videos if I can't stomach it, I'll stop.
- 1:06:13[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, I watched the entire thing.
- 1:06:14[SPEAKER_01]: I watched it on two times feed because she speaks at the pace of molasses literally.
- 1:06:19[SPEAKER_01]: But I'm gonna explain you guys what is happening here.
- 1:06:22[SPEAKER_01]: And I'm gonna do it as delicately as I can because this woman is obviously experiencing some sort of mental health crisis.
- 1:06:29[SPEAKER_01]: She's adamant that she is not.
- 1:06:31[SPEAKER_01]: And I just don't see that as a possibility, but you know, it's okay.
- 1:06:36[SPEAKER_01]: All right, so a couple things you need to know is that she, this woman named Kendra, she's an ADHD coach, she's a yoga instructor, and she's a practitioner of spiritual response therapy.
- 1:06:48[SPEAKER_01]: She goes by ADHD, she goes to mental health, that's what she does.
- 1:06:51[SPEAKER_01]: So she launches this big, this big series, and it's basically called, I fell in love with my psychiatrist.
- 1:06:57[SPEAKER_01]: He knew and kept me until I had the strength to leave.
- 1:07:01[SPEAKER_01]: And so at first it's like, okay, oh my god, this is the sounds like a crazy story.
- 1:07:05[SPEAKER_01]: And then we hear all about this.
- 1:07:07[SPEAKER_01]: So she does a remote intake with this guy and she sees that he's the same age as her and then he's attractive and she starts just kind of noticing it and she says she have a trauma bond with him like that's what she she got.
- 1:07:20[SPEAKER_01]: And so she's telling us that he's like blurring these lines.
- 1:07:23[SPEAKER_01]: He's making her feel really seen.
- 1:07:24[SPEAKER_01]: He's making her feel really special.
- 1:07:26[SPEAKER_01]: One day, she asked him like, what kind of glasses did he like or something?
- 1:07:31[SPEAKER_01]: And he said, oh, I like tortoise shell glasses.
- 1:07:34[SPEAKER_01]: And so she was like, and I was wearing tortoise shell glasses.
- 1:07:38[SPEAKER_01]: So I know that he felt a tube that he was falling in love with me.
- 1:07:41[SPEAKER_01]: And when he said that, now we've since found this psychiatrist online.
- 1:07:46[SPEAKER_01]: He has sort of shell glasses.
- 1:07:48[SPEAKER_01]: So he fucking said that because there is.
- 1:07:51[SPEAKER_01]: He was not trying to give you a compliment.
- 1:07:53[SPEAKER_01]: He said it because she took that immediately.
- 1:07:56[SPEAKER_01]: One day, she said to him, can I call you by your first name?
- 1:07:59[SPEAKER_01]: And he was like, yeah, and she was like, okay, you're in love with me.
- 1:08:02[SPEAKER_01]: Like that was also, and it's like, she's like, I will make fun of you.
- 1:08:06[SPEAKER_01]: Yes, I think I call my psychiatrist by her first name.
- 1:08:09[SPEAKER_01]: Like it's not.
- 1:08:11[SPEAKER_01]: That weird.
- 1:08:11[SPEAKER_01]: I don't even know if I call it in both adults.
- 1:08:13[SPEAKER_01]: Like, I don't know if I have to call her anything.
- 1:08:15[SPEAKER_01]: You know what I mean?
- 1:08:16[SPEAKER_01]: Like, we're just talking.
- 1:08:17[SPEAKER_01]: And here's the thing also that a lot of people are getting wrong online.
- 1:08:20[SPEAKER_01]: So I just want you to know there's a difference between a psychiatrist and a therapist.
- 1:08:24[SPEAKER_01]: A psychiatrist is somebody who can prescribe medicine and they're not a therapist.
- 1:08:28[SPEAKER_01]: You are meeting with them maybe once a month if you're in the middle of a med switch, you could go up to like everything else.
- 1:08:34[SPEAKER_01]: But she was there for ADHD medicine, which requires of every single month.
- 1:08:37[SPEAKER_01]: Okay.
- 1:08:38[SPEAKER_01]: So
- 1:08:40[SPEAKER_01]: She is going there once a month.
- 1:08:41[SPEAKER_01]: She also has a therapist.
- 1:08:42[SPEAKER_01]: She's meeting with weekly and this therapist is a seventy-five-year-old woman who has a PhD and she keeps saying this.
- 1:08:49[SPEAKER_01]: And I do, I will say right now.
- 1:08:51[SPEAKER_01]: Like there are moments in this story that Kendra is talking about that I'm like, okay, you were failed in a way by some of your mental health team.
- 1:09:00[SPEAKER_01]: You're a therapist.
- 1:09:01[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, she was going into her sessions and she says this all.
- 1:09:03[SPEAKER_01]: She's like not hiding anything on her.
- 1:09:05[SPEAKER_01]: So I told her all about how in love I am with my psychiatrist.
- 1:09:08[SPEAKER_01]: I told her I had a sex stream about my psychiatrist.
- 1:09:11[SPEAKER_01]: I told her all these things.
- 1:09:12[SPEAKER_01]: Like she told me I should tell my psychiatrist about it.
- 1:09:14[SPEAKER_01]: She told me I should tell him.
- 1:09:16[SPEAKER_01]: She didn't ever tell me you need to find a new psychiatrist.
- 1:09:18[SPEAKER_01]: Nothing like that.
- 1:09:19[SPEAKER_01]: Like she was like into us.
- 1:09:21[SPEAKER_01]: So Kendra ends up telling her psychiatrist, so she's a crush on him.
- 1:09:25[SPEAKER_01]: And at this moment, she's like, he should have kicked me out at that moment and made me find a new psychiatrist.
- 1:09:31[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know.
- 1:09:31[SPEAKER_01]: I'm like, did he not take you seriously maybe?
- 1:09:34[SPEAKER_01]: Like, is the way that you said it?
- 1:09:36[SPEAKER_01]: Was it something else?
- 1:09:36[SPEAKER_01]: You were only meeting virtually.
- 1:09:38[SPEAKER_01]: He may have just felt like it was fine.
- 1:09:40[SPEAKER_01]: You know, he was just trying to get you your meds.
- 1:09:43[SPEAKER_01]: So she goes in and tells them at the sex stream one day.
- 1:09:45[SPEAKER_01]: And she's like, he got visibly uncomfortable, but I told him like, we were having sex right here in this office.
- 1:09:51[SPEAKER_01]: And she's like saying, Oh, because she started going in person.
- 1:09:53[SPEAKER_00]: She went in person and she gave him a massive hug.
- 1:09:56[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 1:09:56[SPEAKER_01]: So she, she finds out.
- 1:09:58[SPEAKER_01]: She asked him one day if he takes clients in person, he said no.
- 1:10:02[SPEAKER_01]: He said, I do them in my eye.
- 1:10:03[SPEAKER_01]: I take the calls in my office, but I don't take clients in person.
- 1:10:06[SPEAKER_01]: So that tells me right away.
- 1:10:07[SPEAKER_01]: He wouldn't have felt safe with her in person.
- 1:10:10[SPEAKER_01]: She ends up calling the office one day and she's like, does he take appointments in person?
- 1:10:13[SPEAKER_01]: And they said, yeah, and she said, that's what I want my next appointment to be.
- 1:10:17[SPEAKER_01]: So she showed up in person.
- 1:10:18[SPEAKER_01]: He walks out to see her and she was so excited to meet him.
- 1:10:22[SPEAKER_01]: She had gotten all dressed up.
- 1:10:23[SPEAKER_01]: She goes up gives him a huge hug.
- 1:10:25[SPEAKER_01]: And she's like, he seems so, so I've got his ice cold.
- 1:10:29[SPEAKER_01]: And that's another thing she said that he would like push and pull her.
- 1:10:31[SPEAKER_01]: Somebody said he'd be warm.
- 1:10:33[SPEAKER_01]: Sometimes he'd be ice cold.
- 1:10:34[SPEAKER_01]: Like he was trying to like set these boundaries.
- 1:10:36[SPEAKER_01]: But he loved that she was falling in love with them.
- 1:10:39[SPEAKER_01]: He loved that she was pushing the boundaries.
- 1:10:41[SPEAKER_01]: And she would tell her friends about this and her friends would say, one day, he is going to have to say, Kendra, I am in love with you.
- 1:10:46[SPEAKER_01]: I cannot keep being your psychiatrist.
- 1:10:48[SPEAKER_01]: We have to stop this so that we can be together.
- 1:10:50[SPEAKER_01]: Like she believed that this was going to happen.
- 1:10:52[SPEAKER_01]: So she tells them at the sex stream in the room when he like visibly gets very uncomfortable.
- 1:10:56[SPEAKER_01]: She thought he was getting uncomfortable because like he was turned on basically.
- 1:11:00[SPEAKER_01]: Um, like she thought he was into it.
- 1:11:02[SPEAKER_01]: All of these things, she's like, this is confirmation that he's in love with me, too.
- 1:11:06[SPEAKER_01]: I didn't know you were a supercated feelings until this moment until he did this.
- 1:11:09[SPEAKER_01]: Like, it's like, what feelings?
- 1:11:11[SPEAKER_01]: And she's like, he made it so that I love them.
- 1:11:13[SPEAKER_01]: He made me fall in love with him on purpose and was setting all these boundaries, whatever.
- 1:11:18[SPEAKER_01]: Um, she thought him to sing a thing about the glasses was manipulative.
- 1:11:21[SPEAKER_01]: She thought that like anything was so manipulative.
- 1:11:24[SPEAKER_01]: It's crazy.
- 1:11:26[SPEAKER_01]: Um, okay.
- 1:11:27[SPEAKER_01]: We have got a few more.
- 1:11:29[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, this was crazy.
- 1:11:30[SPEAKER_01]: So she gets into a car accident, a really like bad car accident.
- 1:11:34[SPEAKER_01]: And she's got internal injuries, but she had an in-person appointments scheduled for the next day when her dog got bored.
- 1:11:39[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 1:11:40[SPEAKER_01]: And so she is like talking to the hospital and they're like, well, you need to cancel that appointment and you just need to come straight to the hospital because you have internal injuries.
- 1:11:47[SPEAKER_01]: We need to figure it out.
- 1:11:49[SPEAKER_01]: She ends up not doing that.
- 1:11:51[SPEAKER_01]: She's like, well, I'm just going to go after my appointment because I don't want to miss an appointment and wait another month to see him.
- 1:11:56[SPEAKER_01]: So she goes to her appointment.
- 1:11:57[SPEAKER_01]: She tells him that she was in this car accident and has these injuries and that she's going to the hospital after.
- 1:12:01[SPEAKER_01]: She says because he didn't stop and tell her she needed to go to the hospital right away that that was like him being evil.
- 1:12:07[SPEAKER_01]: That was him not taking care of her.
- 1:12:08[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, but the fact that she put that off because she had to see him like there are so many things that it's so clear that she's not operating out of a place of like her right mind or sanity and it's it's really like a shame.
- 1:12:23[SPEAKER_01]: All right, so then she starts talking to chat to BT and she names her chat to be to Henry and it seems like she's also like a little bit in love with Henry.
- 1:12:33[SPEAKER_01]: She keeps asking him for advice telling him all these things and then taking his advice and reading them to her psychiatrist as like, this is what I'm like, dude, you
- 1:12:43[SPEAKER_01]: This is where I'm going to terminate this.
- 1:12:44[SPEAKER_01]: I know, I know.
- 1:12:45[SPEAKER_01]: That's where I do believe he could have said something's going on here now.
- 1:12:52[SPEAKER_01]: We don't know.
- 1:12:53[SPEAKER_01]: Some people have looked into it and they've seen that his because she did say his first name.
- 1:12:57[SPEAKER_01]: So people found him.
- 1:13:00[SPEAKER_01]: Some people have said that he specializes in schizophrenia.
- 1:13:03[SPEAKER_01]: There could be more going on.
- 1:13:04[SPEAKER_01]: Like we don't know, she's as she's only going for ADHD, but we don't know.
- 1:13:07[SPEAKER_01]: Like it could be anything.
- 1:13:08[SPEAKER_01]: There could be more to the story.
- 1:13:10[SPEAKER_01]: We're only getting reliable narrator.
- 1:13:12[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, a hundred percent.
- 1:13:15[SPEAKER_01]: So, she's talking to her, her chat GPT therapist and a lot of people believe she has AI induced psychosis.
- 1:13:23[SPEAKER_01]: They've just recently challenged her to stop talking.
- 1:13:26[SPEAKER_01]: I was just saw like a clip from one of her lives.
- 1:13:27[SPEAKER_01]: She took twenty four hours off of AI and she said she won't be able to do it any longer.
- 1:13:31[SPEAKER_01]: Um, and that tomorrow I'll show me going back and like she'll do all these lives where she just like asks the AI a question and then the AI will answer she now has another AI therapist named Claude that she also talks to with her both like chat GB team.
- 1:13:43[SPEAKER_01]: Um, apparently Henry stopped talking to her.
- 1:13:45[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know what that means.
- 1:13:47[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know anything about that.
- 1:13:48[SPEAKER_01]: Whatever.
- 1:13:49[SPEAKER_00]: So one day I stuff has really been really really crazy.
- 1:13:55[SPEAKER_00]: Yes, so it's just the daily, a couple months ago did an episode about the people that are in relationships fully in human relationships and then also with AI.
- 1:14:09[SPEAKER_01]: No, it's so weird and creepy and I think that like I didn't even realize you could have it be a voice, so it's like a full conversation you're having.
- 1:14:17[SPEAKER_01]: But the other thing is that she's giving care to other people.
- 1:14:21[SPEAKER_01]: So she is like a life coach.
- 1:14:23[SPEAKER_01]: She is an ADHD coach.
- 1:14:25[SPEAKER_01]: She is a counselor.
- 1:14:27[SPEAKER_01]: She is doing this.
- 1:14:28[SPEAKER_01]: She's talking to her therapist about all this shit.
- 1:14:30[SPEAKER_01]: One day she decides she doesn't need to see her therapist anymore.
- 1:14:32[SPEAKER_01]: And she just was like, by the way, it's our last session today.
- 1:14:34[SPEAKER_01]: Our therapist was like, we have a protocol like I need to come back in.
- 1:14:39[SPEAKER_01]: She's like, she was begging me to come back in.
- 1:14:41[SPEAKER_01]: I was like, not doing that for you.
- 1:14:43[SPEAKER_01]: I'm not coming back in just for you.
- 1:14:46[SPEAKER_01]: But like we saw the email.
- 1:14:47[SPEAKER_01]: She's not begging.
- 1:14:47[SPEAKER_01]: There was no bag.
- 1:14:48[SPEAKER_01]: Like, there's just she's so disconnected from reality.
- 1:14:51[SPEAKER_01]: So she goes on and makes this big series about this story.
- 1:14:56[SPEAKER_01]: And she tells the story.
- 1:14:57[SPEAKER_01]: And I mean, you can see in her eyes, the scrolls is not well.
- 1:15:00[SPEAKER_01]: And she's talking and telling the story.
- 1:15:02[SPEAKER_01]: And it just sounds like as I'm listening to it, I'm just like, you, oh, my God.
- 1:15:05[SPEAKER_01]: Like,
- 1:15:06[SPEAKER_01]: you just realize like how she is so not connected.
- 1:15:10[SPEAKER_01]: She's explained that her family is very concerned about her.
- 1:15:13[SPEAKER_01]: She goes into teaching yoga class the next day after she posts all these and she just opens up to have the class.
- 1:15:19[SPEAKER_01]: She tells them all about what's going on with her about her lives, about everything.
- 1:15:22[SPEAKER_01]: And she then gets an email from the yoga studio they're like, hey, can you come in?
- 1:15:27[SPEAKER_01]: We need to talk to you.
- 1:15:28[SPEAKER_01]: And she's like, no, I'm not going to come in though.
- 1:15:30[SPEAKER_01]: And they're like, okay, you're not in trouble like we just want to talk to you about like what's going on.
- 1:15:33[SPEAKER_01]: And she's like, look, if you want to remove me from your practice, that's fine.
- 1:15:37[SPEAKER_01]: And they were like, okay, then we will.
- 1:15:39[SPEAKER_01]: And she goes, okay, great.
- 1:15:41[SPEAKER_01]: And she goes on and basically says, like, I was fired for this because I'm protecting myself.
- 1:15:45[SPEAKER_01]: And I'm speaking up for myself and I'm speaking up to people.
- 1:15:47[SPEAKER_01]: I'm blah, blah, blah, blah.
- 1:15:49[SPEAKER_01]: It's great.
- 1:15:49[SPEAKER_01]: She was using like pendulums and stuff to justify the thing is that she was saying, I believe she's a bunch of face tattoos right here.
- 1:15:56[SPEAKER_01]: Sometimes they're covered up with makeup, but I can't really tell what's going on.
- 1:15:59[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, this woman,
- 1:16:01[SPEAKER_01]: it's it's deeply concerning it's deeply concerning and she she won't stop like she's not going to stop until people stop getting on her lives because now she's charging people three dollars if you want to join her lives like she's making money off of this now this psychiatrist life is probably ruined but he did make a video saying I I like never had any feelings for her obviously and I didn't know but whatever
- 1:16:26[SPEAKER_01]: So that's going on right now.
- 1:16:28[SPEAKER_01]: It's rocking TikTok.
- 1:16:29[SPEAKER_01]: If you haven't seen it, I don't know how, but if you haven't seen it, I do recommend at least watching a few of her videos because you cannot get the full gist of like this woman or this situation unless you actually hear from her and you like see it in her eyes.
- 1:16:45[SPEAKER_01]: She'll have like these crazy moments of laughter where she'll laugh like so hard like out of nowhere and then go right back to normal.
- 1:16:52[SPEAKER_01]: Like it's it's really
- 1:16:55[SPEAKER_01]: Interesting to watch is what I'll say comments are off.
- 1:16:58[SPEAKER_01]: Thank God for that, but you and especially you Phoebe you should go watch a few of hers like I mean I have seen them I just mean for them for the most part I know the story through Other videos about it, but I've watched her videos before I just had I haven't watched all sixty seven well Okay, well some you all should go watch some of these and watch a few like get into it
- 1:17:20[SPEAKER_01]: really start following her story.
- 1:17:21[SPEAKER_01]: All right, so I just wanted to talk about it because it's all I've been seeing and it's crazy.
- 1:17:27[SPEAKER_01]: And I wanted to talk about hunting lives, but Phoebe doesn't even know that the main character basically besides Britney snow is a sister from twenty seven dresses because we hit on in the Thursday episode from the future that she has never seen twenty seven dresses and it's actually going to make me freaking croak.
- 1:17:41[SPEAKER_01]: It's actually going to make you blow a freaking gasket.
- 1:17:43[SPEAKER_01]: I'm going to watch it tonight.
- 1:17:44[SPEAKER_01]: Okay, I love to hear that.
- 1:17:45[SPEAKER_01]: Text me live text during it.
- 1:17:46[SPEAKER_01]: All right, let's get into our rotations.
- 1:17:48[SPEAKER_01]: I'm on dream.
- 1:17:51[SPEAKER_01]: Let me see.
- 1:17:51[SPEAKER_01]: We'll talk about big brother on the pop house, everybody.
- 1:17:54[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 1:17:54[SPEAKER_01]: Sorry.
- 1:17:55[SPEAKER_01]: We're in a little bit of a rush wrapping this up here.
- 1:17:58[SPEAKER_01]: Okay.
- 1:17:58[SPEAKER_01]: First up on my dream rotation is Angie Kay.
- 1:18:01[SPEAKER_01]: I thought she was fabulous at the LCCA's.
- 1:18:04[SPEAKER_01]: I love her commitment to our guys, Matt and Bowen.
- 1:18:07[SPEAKER_01]: And I'm so ready for the next season.
- 1:18:10[SPEAKER_01]: A clip just surface of the high body count hair and moment.
- 1:18:13[SPEAKER_01]: And it's entirety.
- 1:18:14[SPEAKER_01]: And I'm sorry.
- 1:18:15[SPEAKER_01]: It's it's TV gold.
- 1:18:17[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, it's just so fucking good.
- 1:18:18[SPEAKER_01]: So that is number one.
- 1:18:20[SPEAKER_01]: Number two, I'm gonna go ahead and put Matt and Bo and it's just easy.
- 1:18:24[SPEAKER_01]: I have to.
- 1:18:26[SPEAKER_01]: They were, were they on yours last week?
- 1:18:29[SPEAKER_01]: I don't remember that.
- 1:18:30[SPEAKER_00]: I don't think they were.
- 1:18:31[SPEAKER_01]: The LCCAs was so fun if you haven't seen it, you definitely should.
- 1:18:34[SPEAKER_01]: If you don't listen to last culture research, I think it's time.
- 1:18:37[SPEAKER_01]: I think, what are you waiting for?
- 1:18:39[SPEAKER_01]: They are another pop culture podcast that you have our blessing to go listen to.
- 1:18:42[SPEAKER_01]: So go check that out for sure.
- 1:18:44[SPEAKER_01]: And that's my repation.
- 1:18:45[SPEAKER_01]: Time for yours.
- 1:18:47[SPEAKER_00]: My rotation is Kendra.
- 1:18:50[SPEAKER_00]: Yes, Kendra.
- 1:18:52[SPEAKER_01]: And I just spoke about his love with her psychiatrist.
- 1:18:54[SPEAKER_00]: Morgan from Big Brother.
- 1:18:56[SPEAKER_00]: Oh my God.
- 1:18:57[SPEAKER_00]: She's so insufferable guy as a standard in watching, you know, if she's making me take sides with Keanu in a conversation, then you know things are pretty serious.
- 1:19:06[SPEAKER_00]: The conversation where Morgan is so fucking funny.
- 1:19:09[SPEAKER_00]: Morgan is like, Guy really can't decide.
- 1:19:11[SPEAKER_00]: I really can't.
- 1:19:12[SPEAKER_00]: I really can't tell if it came down to me and Lauren, whose aqua pick.
- 1:19:16[SPEAKER_00]: Like, well, he's in love with one of you and he can't stand to the other one.
- 1:19:18[SPEAKER_00]: So it's, and Fiona goes, you know, who goes?
- 1:19:20[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I mean, I think that's a pretty easy.
- 1:19:23[SPEAKER_01]: He goes, I don't actually think that's a question at all.
- 1:19:26[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, I got to go talk to someone.
- 1:19:29[SPEAKER_01]: I could have, I was like, oh my god, I'm so excited.
- 1:19:31[SPEAKER_00]: And I really didn't appreciate her and Mickey during Mickey's Achoa.
- 1:19:34[SPEAKER_00]: They're mean.
- 1:19:35[SPEAKER_00]: I think they are really, don't like the way that they were behaving.
- 1:19:38[SPEAKER_00]: I don't either.
- 1:19:40[SPEAKER_00]: And they also, I just think it was poor game play.
- 1:19:42[SPEAKER_00]: And more importantly, poor game, and Morgan, you're a gamer, stop acting like you guys are like really playing this game.
- 1:19:50[SPEAKER_00]: And Ava, who's sleep, sixteen hours a day, is it playing the game when she's about to have the best Achoa.
- 1:19:56[SPEAKER_01]: She's actually doing real shit.
- 1:19:58[SPEAKER_01]: Like, she's running an HOH, the way she wants to run it, which is just because you can't see it anywhere.
- 1:20:02[SPEAKER_00]: It doesn't mean it's not happening.
- 1:20:03[SPEAKER_01]: No, exactly.
- 1:20:04[SPEAKER_01]: And also Morgan Morgan said there was a clip where she's like, I have been fighting for my life every week in this house.
- 1:20:08[SPEAKER_01]: Girl, you haven't touched the block.
- 1:20:10[SPEAKER_01]: Literally.
- 1:20:10[SPEAKER_01]: You're not touched the block shut up.
- 1:20:12[SPEAKER_01]: So, anyway.
- 1:20:13[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 1:20:14[SPEAKER_00]: And then last is Janet from the Valley, of course.
- 1:20:16[SPEAKER_01]: And she'll just probably stay there.
- 1:20:18[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 1:20:18[SPEAKER_01]: And she'll just probably stay there.
- 1:20:19[SPEAKER_01]: Did we talk about part two of the reunion?
- 1:20:21[SPEAKER_00]: No, but it got worse for Janet.
- 1:20:23[SPEAKER_00]: I understand why we're digging our heels in on this Danny Hill.
- 1:20:28[SPEAKER_00]: Jasmine, well, first of all, I'm a little bit confused.
- 1:20:30[SPEAKER_00]: There was something where I was like,
- 1:20:34[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, Janet Janet and Jason started answering for Jasmine when Jasmine got introduced in the conversation in Jasmine was like, why didn't really appreciate it?
- 1:20:41[SPEAKER_00]: Like she started saying I'm like, okay, but Danny asked you if the apology was okay multiple times a year after it happened and you guys like I understand why he thought it was put the bed.
- 1:20:51[SPEAKER_00]: I'm not saying you have to get over at Jasmine, but like you made Danny think
- 1:20:55[SPEAKER_00]: I think you took your word for it.
- 1:20:57[SPEAKER_00]: I think he believed you know you're bringing this up now when everybody else is dogpiling on him about it and you now he's like confused and now Janet and Jason can be like see and then they sort answering for these things that Nia and Jason or Nia and Danny are saying they're answering for Jasmine and I'm gonna shut the fuck up.
- 1:21:15[SPEAKER_00]: It's like business.
- 1:21:16[SPEAKER_00]: Why do you care so much?
- 1:21:19[SPEAKER_01]: I just, and especially given like the juxtaposition of having Danny and Jackson on the same stage, I'm just like, how are we even having this conversation?
- 1:21:27[SPEAKER_01]: Like, and how is it not just so instantly obvious that Janet is of complete and total villain to ever go on this stage, you know?
- 1:21:34[SPEAKER_01]: Like, I know you don't know that.
- 1:21:35[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know that.
- 1:21:35[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, I'm Brittany stop playing both sides.
- 1:21:37[SPEAKER_00]: You can't.
- 1:21:38[SPEAKER_00]: And Janet acts the way that she acts and Kristen acts the way that she acts.
- 1:21:42[SPEAKER_00]: It's just not comparable.
- 1:21:43[SPEAKER_01]: No, no, it's just not.
- 1:21:45[SPEAKER_01]: And
- 1:21:45[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, everybody who's been saying it online is making a good point.
- 1:21:48[SPEAKER_01]: What does Jacks have on Jason?
- 1:21:50[SPEAKER_01]: Jacks has to have something on them, or they feel indebted to him in some way because they don't want to show.
- 1:21:56[SPEAKER_01]: I guess so.
- 1:21:57[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know, but yeah, his show.
- 1:21:59[SPEAKER_01]: I just think it's really deplorable.
- 1:22:01[SPEAKER_01]: And if this is all coming from a place of vindication and revenge because you're mad that there was a rumor about unaligning a wedding ring.
- 1:22:07[SPEAKER_01]: By the way, that rumor was basically started by Jasmine, who's back.
- 1:22:11[SPEAKER_01]: You're trying to have right now.
- 1:22:12[SPEAKER_01]: So what I don't got it like you're you know what you're looking for when you're looking yeah like yeah exactly like it rumors like that don't just usually come out of thin air like from someone like Jasmine who you consider enough of a friend to go to battle right here with somebody else over something that Danny did you know years ago and has apologized multiple times for so it's just
- 1:22:31[SPEAKER_01]: crazy.
- 1:22:31[SPEAKER_01]: Okay.
- 1:22:32[SPEAKER_00]: And I agreed with Whitney.
- 1:22:33[SPEAKER_00]: I said, Neil was like, you guys are trying to make it seem like he goes to bars.
- 1:22:37[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 1:22:37[SPEAKER_00]: That's black out drunk and Janica Robin women.
- 1:22:40[SPEAKER_01]: Well, it's well, it's happened since that conversation.
- 1:22:42[SPEAKER_01]: Janet, what is wrong with you?
- 1:22:44[SPEAKER_01]: Like, and I'm not trying to say that like,
- 1:22:47[SPEAKER_01]: If Janet had made herself into a human who, like, I believe, and I think that, like, her intentions here are good and different tech people than I would be having a different person.
- 1:22:55[SPEAKER_01]: I don't want to say that I'm just immediately like, that's not possible because it's Danny, like, I don't know.
- 1:22:59[SPEAKER_01]: You know, I don't know, but it's not better at all.
- 1:23:00[SPEAKER_01]: Everything Janet has done in the way that Janet has been holding herself leads me to believe that I shouldn't believe anything that she says.
- 1:23:08[SPEAKER_01]: Everything she says is coming from like, only brings it up when it's been mentioned.
- 1:23:11[SPEAKER_00]: Or it adds to her side of the argument.
- 1:23:14[SPEAKER_00]: It's just like, dude.
- 1:23:17[SPEAKER_00]: enough is enough.
- 1:23:18[SPEAKER_01]: Yes.
- 1:23:19[SPEAKER_01]: So on the pop cast this weekend, we're going to talk about we'll probably get.
- 1:23:25[SPEAKER_01]: If there are any updates on Kendra, I will have to talk about them, but we will definitely talk about big brother.
- 1:23:29[SPEAKER_01]: We will get more into the valley reunion.
- 1:23:31[SPEAKER_01]: We're going to start talking about the perfect match on Netflix.
- 1:23:33[SPEAKER_01]: If you're not watching, it is really good.
- 1:23:35[SPEAKER_01]: We've got Clayton and Rachel from the Bachelor.
- 1:23:39[SPEAKER_01]: It's just good TV and Clayton is making me cringe so hard.
- 1:23:43[SPEAKER_01]: It's a really tough watch, but it's good.
- 1:23:45[SPEAKER_01]: So tune into the perfect match.
- 1:23:46[SPEAKER_01]: We're going to talk about it.
- 1:23:47[SPEAKER_01]: probably next week on Tuesday, but also in the popcast.
- 1:23:49[SPEAKER_01]: We're going to talk about hunting lives.
- 1:23:50[SPEAKER_01]: We're going to talk about twenty seven dresses.
- 1:23:52[SPEAKER_01]: So you're going to want to make sure that you are tuned into the Patreon this weekend.
- 1:23:56[SPEAKER_01]: And on Thursday, we are recapping season seven episode.
- 1:23:58[SPEAKER_01]: Fourteen of pretty little liars called power play.
- 1:24:02[SPEAKER_01]: It's a crazy fucking episode.
- 1:24:04[SPEAKER_01]: So definitely make sure you tune into that.
- 1:24:07[SPEAKER_01]: And we will see you next week.
- 1:24:09[SPEAKER_01]: Thank you so much for listening.
- 1:24:12[SPEAKER_01]: That was all.
- 1:24:12[SPEAKER_01]: I was all Cadiwampos.
